VU exceeded my expectations. The team I had the honor of working with were nothing outside of professional, efficient and informative. Best loan company we’ve ever had, I really approve of the service they’ve provided over the course of our loan. Really could not have asked for anything better or any service more in depth. They really helped.

They made the process feel much easier than I expected. From start to finish, their team was there to answer any questions I had, making sure I was well informed. Their website also made it easy to track tasks and get paperwork signed digitally, keeping the process moving quickly.

The team did a great job getting everything setup and completed. Very easy to deal with. Will definitely be using Veterans United again. This was my second time using them and it was even quicker and easier than the first. The team that they put together both times were very helpful and knowledgeable.

I would recommend VU to anyone that has the option to use them. This process was so smooth even the attorneys and realtor were singing VU’s praises. When you hear the people that deal with lenders everyday calling your lender the best they have dealt with, you know you chose well. I cannot put words together that would do justice to how on top of things Taylor and his team were and the consistent communication that kept us at ease through the entire process. If you can use VU, you should use VU and be thankful they are available to you.

Travis is an excellent loan officer to work with. Travis worked hard for us and has always been honest. A company is known by who they employ, Veterans United is so lucky to have Travis. Trust me when I say this, Travis and his team are wonderful!

I had such a wonderful experience at Veterans United! Prior to the purchase of my home, I had heard bad reviews and at first it deterred me. My husband said to me, "Their experience may not be your experience and you will never know if you don't try!" Well I did try and my experience was different from what I had read about. I had the best experience. Matt, Julia, Jacque, and Josh took great care of me! They never left me in the dark, they helped me through the entire process, and treated me like family. This is the second time using VU. Because of the first experience, I opted to choose them again. When you're separated by states with your lender, communication is instrumental in making this process work. There were always emails and follow-up texts to make sure I didn't have any questions. I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for the team we had working for us at Veterans United. They put us first and kept our best interests ahead of their own. We felt cared for and important. Me and my wife talked several times about Benjamin and his team, how much we liked them and the process. The use of the app, and the friendliness of the staff often made our days after just a brief conversation. The home buying process is stressful enough, several of our bids were not taken and the market is cut throat. Veterans United was amazing. The personnel that they having working in their company are truly professionals. There was not one encounter that I received from anyone there that wasn’t pleasant. Everyone there pushed for me to get into the home that I really wanted, and did everything in their power to get me approved. They are rock stars. I honestly know for a fact that no other lender would have worked as hard as they did, as I went through multiple lenders before them that quickly turned me down instead of fighting for what I deserved. Also, let’s not forget the easy account access I had to keep track of my home buying process and how it immediately alerted you if anything was added for you to complete. I feel it's my duty to my fellow veterans to write this review on my experience with Veterans United. I reside in Las Vegas with my family and we felt it was time for us to explore the possibility of becoming homeowners but with all the companies out there that offer loan products, it was really difficult to decide who to choose.

We were blown away by everything and most importantly our home buying team Hank ** and Amanda **. They made everything seamless when I know behind the scenes they were working really hard! Also, the app that we were able to use and sign documents made it so much easier when at work or out of town to handle documents. The process was incredibly smooth and they even thought of our dog! Don’t stay away, RUN AWAY from Veterans United as fast as you possibly can. I’ve bought 4 houses as I moved around the U.S. as well as countless refinances of my VA mortgage. While some loan originators have been better than others, I never had as terrible experience as I had with Veterans United. I had never used them before and thought to give them a try. What a mistake!

I selected Veteran United the very first year I attempted to purchase my forever home. While things did not workout the first, nor the second or maybe the third time(I lost count) due to my own inability to met the requirements. No one at Veterans United ever told me to give up, instead I was meet with encouraging words even when my attempts failed. And I gave them plenty of reasons to give up on me. I had the very real sense of Veterans United working to our benefit above all else, and I intend to continue working with them wherever possible, going forward, and gladly.

As a first time homebuyer, approaching the process with limited knowledge was very intimidating but everyone on the team made everything easy to understand with step by step instructions, and always answered any questions I had in a timely manner. Knowing that the mortgage process is daunting, VU steps in and does the leg work so you can focus on everything else. The "To-Do" list on the app allows you to answer the necessary questions from anywhere and is a good repository for all important documents. Kenny is the glue that held our team together. His team (Jamey and Kevin) work tirelessly for you and not for the bank. They are on top of things to the point when you see a notification on your phone you know you are one step closer to home ownership. Most importantly they do not push the "up sale" of products. While they have opportunities to lock in your interest rate or to add an ADT security system to your home, it is an option and they do not beat you over the head with it.

I am so glad I did not throw away the pre-qualified notice I received in the mail from Veterans United home loans. I scanned the letter with my iPhone, spoke with a loan officer, and then less than 5 months later, I purchased and moved into my first home. Out of all three lenders we were in between, there is no doubt in our minds we would have been lost had we chosen anyone else. This being our first home loan (VA loan) I can't attest for anyone else's experiences but have read plenty of nightmarish stories about the lending process from offer to closing. This was not the case for us. We made sure to put in as much work as possible to ensure the entire VU team had what they needed when they needed it in terms of any requested paperwork. This lead the team to ask us if we wanted to close an entire week early! Would have been a two week close instead of three which is bananas from what we hear. If you have any doubts, don't. Most likely won't be working with another lending service when it comes to refinancing or purchasing another home.

From start to finish, I received phenomenal service from everyone...let them know everything you are going through. They will assist you in finding your forever home, or second home....vacation home, etc...

Got preapproved (for more than they should have in retrospect). Paid earnest money and jumped through all the hoops. They started having issues with the underwriting, but still went ahead with the $725 appraisal. The business day after the appraisal, they denied the financing. Throughout the entire process communication was awful, unless they needed something.

The team was fantastic and the app was smooth and easy. Whole experience was fantastic. The team was friendly and thorough and helpful. Our agent was wonderful and prompt and very personable. Would recommend them to anyone. They were awesome.

Outstanding. I have no words. We came across obstacles that would have halted an approval with anyone else, including a spiteful former landlord who tried to retaliate for us citing landlord-tenant law by refusing to cooperate and sign paperwork stating we always paid our rent the four years we rented from her. BORROWERS BEWARE: They sold my loan less than a month. They did not package my loan properly before passing it off to my current mortgage company. As a result, my 2021 taxes were paid late and no one wants to accept responsibility for the late fees and penalties. Stating I signed a document to hold them harmless regarding any taxes. No, I signed the document stating I would apply for 100% disabled veteran's tax exemption, but they threw in the hold harmless statement in the same document. Brood of Vipers! The taxes were from 2021 which weren't paid until October 31, 2023.

My team was incredible. I'd give them max stars. Sarah and Andrea was phenomenal, and any bump in the road was addressed by them quickly and effectively. I will certainly call them again in the future on my next VA home loan.

I have documentation of having served Honorably a total of 9 years in the U.S. Army Reserves and the Indiana National Guard (6 years required for VA loan approval). My Retirement records only indicate 5 years 9 months of retirement credit and I've checked and double-checked with every records entity with no further information nor explanation given. I feel as though Veterans could have continued to give their assistance with the VA. I wasn't afforded the opportunity to have my down payment waived and will now pay PMI until the VA corrects their stance in this matter. One who served honorably is/has not been honored properly

From the first contact on or about 9/30/23 to the closing on 11/16/23, the support, information and education was always there.. Whenever I had to provide documents or review contracts, disclosures and applications, everything was explained in plain language with minimal jargon. After we found a home, placed an offer, and started the underwriting portion, we closed in a little over 3 weeks, which I hear is lightning fast for a VA loan! Pro Tip: When you get a “to do” item, get it done RIGHT AWAY. Veterans United will take it from there. Best part is, we closed on Veterans Day! I rate my experience so far 11/10. This experience will probably never be topped. Feel like it was a team of Allstars! I had the impression that the lender was the one to slow the pace. Absolutely not true here! Andy had his foot on the gas the entire time. He could have closed this deal way faster. In our case the seller was the limiting factor! The team was fantastic. Had my well-being in mind. I would have ended up with a higher rate, but got back too much on closing. Andy used that to get a lower interest rate. Might be a standard practice, but felt like he had my back! I honestly couldn't have asked for a better first time buyer experience. Debbie the Realtor was also very happy with the smooth and quick experience we had. Well done folks, very well done!

Overall, we had a great experience with VA Home Plans! In the past with other home loan companies, we didn't feel as much warmth as we do now. After this experience, we will definitely be using VA Home Loans in the future when the time is right.
