I submitted all the paperwork and everything I needed to submit to Vanderbilt Mortgage and they took it from there. They sent me enough paperwork with their number on it so I could contact them if I had any questions. The rep was a sweetheart and she was very understanding. I told her that I was not in my home yet and we were still waiting on things on the zoning end so I don’t know when I’m gonna get into it. She told me that we would be pushed back until March for my first payment. I’ve had a couple of phone calls from them for general questions and it has been an easy process with Vanderbilt. Everybody has been very friendly.

Vanderbilt has been awesome and very helpful. They did everything in a timely manner. I got approved in five days and closing the loan didn't take too long. In November, we went to the attorney's office and closed there. Communicating with Vanderbilt was easy and they called me about any little change. They were very informational. They told me to the point about everything that happened and what would go. They explained everything from what everything was. They also called the seller to get them to go faster so we could move into our house.

When I couldn’t get through to my realtor, Vanderbilt Mortgage managed to. And that was convenient. Vanderbilt also returned all my calls, which was wonderful, and they laid out everything on the line including how much it was gonna cost and what I had to turn in. They did everything I needed. I knew everything about the process right up from the front and it didn’t change. Also, the process took about two months and it wasn’t very long.

The application and underwriting process I underwent with Vanderbilt Mortgage took all year. The work took so long that we had to switch the insurance and everything else in order to get everything straightened out. I got a little irate back there once but we got through the process. Vanderbilt had it by their rules and did the best they could. I appreciated it. Their loan specialists also did well. I'd recommend Vanderbilt Mortgage.

It took a couple of weeks before we got everything and Vanderbilt worked with us. We had a deposit, a downpayment, and everything. It wasn't a big process for the amount that we put down. But they should wait till the person is in. I didn't like the idea that I gotta pay a note before we move into the house. We still haven't moved in yet and we've had this house since November. I gotta pay a note next month and I'm not even living in the place yet. I couldn't get them to change it. That's the only thing I didn't like and other than that, communication with them was pretty easy. They gave us the names and the numbers of whoever we need to speak to through process. The rep we worked with called us a couple of times to find out was everything going well and it was. They did a reasonable and pretty good job. I would go do it again.

Everybody at Vanderbilt was well-educated and knew what they were doing. We had no issues. Communication was good and everything was smooth. Vanderbilt was the same one that I have with my ex. They were easier to go through with the loan and taking out my ex’s name, and then getting me on my own. I would highly recommend them due to the customer service and the knowledge, and the area and criteria where they work at.

I started the mortgage process with Vanderbilt about a year ago. I had an issue with budget and financing, debt-to-income ratio, finding a house that was of value, but Vanderbilt stuck with me the entire 17 months through the process. After getting budget and financing, they said application and underwriting process would finish after two months, but it was already done in three weeks. Vanderbilt very clearly laid out all the terms and conditions of my loan.

I live in Virginia Beach and I financed a home in North Carolina. Vanderbilt was really good back and forth between the seller down in North Carolina and me up here in Virginia in getting things done and with the different things that they needed. Also, they were very patient for me to able to find the time to get down to Carolina to do it. All of the people at Vanderbilt were great to work with and communication was very easy. All I did was pick up the phone. It was like four people that I worked with and as soon as I called and gave them my name, they all knew who I need to talk with and which of the team that I needed to talk with, depending on whatever question it was that I had. I don't think I ever had a question that they couldn't answer and I had very few questions because of the process and how it went and how they explained things. If anybody needs a good company to work with, Vanderbilt would be the one that I would recommend.

My sister and I went under Vanderbilt’s loan and they worked well with us in closing it. It was a lot of back and forth and they could have done a little better. I worked with five different people, so that was kind of a hassle. My sister just moved here in Texas and since we were working with so many different people, they weren't getting that through that it was a transfer and it wasn't a job switch. So, that was holding up our process of paperwork and it set us back a month. Still, everything else was perfectly fine and everyone that we worked with was very friendly. They got back to us within the day when we had questions.

I got calls from Vanderbilt at work and I would call them back and they will put me to the person that had called me that needed to ask the question. As soon as they would ask me for something, I'd get it to them right away. So within a month, Vanderbilt had everything that they needed and as soon as I got them everything, they let me know that I was approved. The process didn’t take very long.

It was very easy to communicate with them. I told the young lady that I dealt with that I’m bad at checking emails if they were gonna do a lot of stuff by email. So, they sent me everything by paper, mostly. The rep was awesome. She called me and she ran everything down to me as to what the process was and what I needed. After I got to a different step, she told me that another specialist would take over.

Overall, Vanderbilt's lending process was great. They laid everything out and I was able to understand the paperwork and everything they sent me. I called on what I didn’t understand and there was someone there to help me. There was not one time that I called Vanderbilt when they told me they would get back with me. They always got somebody or if the person I was calling wasn’t there, they have somebody else that could help. In fact, they’ve been calling me after they found out that I couldn’t get in the home on a time that I was supposed to and they even called me back and moved my house payment to February.

There was a mix-up in between a couple of people at Vanderbilt, me and my old lady, Melissa. A guy called here the day before and I talked to him. He told me that it was okay for Melissa to talk to the people at Vanderbilt. The next day, Melissa called about something and the lady rep told her that she couldn't talk to her because she wasn't on the list. Vanderbilt could have been more understanding about me working, Melissa being here and having to make the phone call, and me okaying some of the stuff. Vanderbilt Mortgage closed really quickly, and I love that. But I had to close twice. The first time I closed, I was going to tear my home down. It was great. Everything was cut-and-dried, just right on the mark, and it was exactly what they said. The second time I closed, I had to add in a septic tank, and it was not so great. The home place that I was buying from dropped the price of the home to $15,000. But the Vanderbilt rep was rude about it. He told me that he was just gonna cancel my loan out since I wouldn’t negotiate the price with them. That was kind of rude on Vanderbilt's end because they're the mortgage company and I was telling them immediately that my home price has dropped.

Vanderbilt said that I had to pay more money down. I didn’t like it, but I went for it. But they told me that they were not working with me, and that I had close my loan in Harriman, which is an hour and a half drive from were I work and two hours from my home. Finally, someone from Vanderbilt said that they have a place on Shallowford Road, which is 20 minutes away.

I closed on June 9th, but I didn’t get my home until November. Whenever I was sitting there and I was getting things ready for my home, they haven't done any backfilling, and I realized that part of it is weather-related. I still have things that’s wrong with my home, and they told me that I had to make a list and try to get everything done at once. I'm doing that running list. But the thing of it is, they said that I owe them $30 more on my down payment and that it was for my closing cost. I had an issue with that. That's nickel and dime to me. Vanderbilt Mortgage was great at the beginning and getting the loan was so simple, but whenever I closed, they screwed me.

Vanderbilt's application and underwriting process took close to two months. The closing was very simple. I told them the challenges that I had, and they found solutions to it. We had a challenge because we had a home that we had to do a deed in lieu on. It is in a very difficult area in Tulsa, and it was getting robbed on such a frequent basis that there wasn’t much left, and we tried putting people in it, and they'd come home and find the thieves in it, and we couldn't do anything. That was four years before that, and so they asked us to do a deed in lieu. The banks wouldn't touch us, as a result of it. They said, "You have to get the company to drop," and the problem I had was nobody could tell me how to do it. Vanderbilt did not make an issue of it, and I thought that was fantastic.

There were times, however, they were asking for things that were not necessary, that were rather ridiculous. With one company that I had financed the snow blower through, they wanted me to get a payment history for the last 12 months. I called the company, and they said that it was ridiculous and that they would refuse to do it.

Also, some of the things, when they got down towards the end, they just threw out. They said, "It's necessary." But we spent a lot of time kinda chasing our tails at times. What made it extremely difficult for me was because we sold our home in Michigan on August the 6th, and we had to be out the 30th. And so we have no time to come down here and get anything started. And so, everything was in storage in Michigan, and so trying to come up with everything was just a nightmare for me. In communicating with them, I usually went over to Clayton Homes and talked with them.

Overall, Vandebilt was all very helpful. They would contact on a fairly regular basis and tell me how the loan process was going. For most people, I think it would go through without a hitch. It was the moving process that got me, and not having access to all of the records. I brought everything that I thought I would need, and I had no idea of the process, how difficult it was to get loans at this point.

And all together, they got back to us really quickly, probably within three to five days. If I had a question or a concern, the longest it took for them to get back to me was the next day. Usually, if I called early enough, they'd definitely call me back that day. They worked with us very well. We spoke three times in a week to make sure everything was good. When we first applied, my boyfriend didn't have the work history that they needed, so it dropped how much we were able to put on the loan. And then the rep asked if there was anyone else that I could use, and I ended up using my mom. So, that got me the extra 20,000 I needed on the loan and that was completely her idea, and it worked. I've had a great experience with Vanderbilt. A guy from Vanderbilt Mortgage called me and he said he was gonna call me back with the information. I said that I was at work and had to go. He said to hold on and that he would me try to get the info for me then. He did and I called him back later on. We went with them instead of the other company. The first guy I talked to was super nice, helpful, very efficient, and to the point. He let me know everything I needed to know. Then I dealt with a few ladies after him and everybody had been really nice. I had property tax exemption and I had not worked it into my loan. And they've been great about that. My escrow would go down and they'd let me know soon what the new note will be. The underwriting and application process did not take long at all.

I know they can't have one person to every customer, but maybe make it more personal. Their communication had been good though. I've always been able to get in touch with them. If I had a question, I could simply call and give them my name or my Social. They'd pull up my info and then they'd usually direct me to where I needed to go. I called a little early so they didn’t have my loan in the system yet. But once they got me to the right person, they understood what I was talking. It has been a very fine experience.

I also do real estate closing, and I'm familiar with loan documents, so I probably have a little bit more information on some things than some consumers. But, everything was done well.

I went in and asked for the loan and the application and underwriting process didn’t take long. The people I worked with always stayed in touch with me. They were always calling me, so I always knew what was going on when it was happening. I always knew what stage in the process they were in. The process went really smooth. I wasn’t in any rush and I wasn’t worried that I wasn’t gonna get the loan to begin with. Everything seemed straightforward.

Everything went very smoothly as far as getting the documents and the loan specialists that we dealt with were very professional. If I had a question or if I called somebody, they called me right back and if any documents or emails needed following up, everything went well. I also always knew where we were at in the process. Vanderbilt's transparency was also really good - they let me know right upfront what the interest rate and the closing cost would be.

We were able to pay it to the best we could until it was complete. Most places really want all of it down right there upfront, and that's always what's hard. Everybody I talked to on the phone was super nice and really helped explain something if I didn’t understand it. There was never anything left over where I felt like I didn’t understand and the rep took the time with me. Usually, with stuff like this, people wanna treat you like a paycheck more than they do a person, but I didn’t feel that way with Vanderbilt. They understood that I work a lot, so they were able to leave me a voicemail. I never had a problem getting a hold of anyone calling back. Everybody seemed to really work with me.

Everything was great in my experience with Vanderbilt. Conducting a business with them was super easy. The application and underwriting took 6 weeks, but it was more our fault because our accountant wasn’t up to date on things that they needed, particularly a loss-profit thing 'cause we're self-employed. Still, Vanderbilt kept me updated on everything that was going on. I get a phone call from different departments and they would tell me it's the chain of command. Chris was good and while we were waiting on our CPA to get him stuff, he would either email or call me and ask me what the latest was then I would try to relay. He ended up communicating with my CPA to keep out of the middle 'cause we were playing phone tag. Overall, I was told everything I needed to know and they answered if I had a question. They were forthcoming with anything I asked.

Communicating with Vanderbilt as a whole was very easy. However, it took a couple of months to complete the application and underwriting process. We had some speed bumps along the way. There was a point where my original had to go through FHA and because of how long it took them, time ran out for us to be able to qualify for that, and we had to re-apply. That part was not their fault though, part of it was the fact that there was a hurricane and it took some time with getting some documentation.

But the folks at Vanderbilt were wonderful in making a means to go ahead and push through and get the loan anyway. Wayde, the person I worked with, took the initiative in getting things taken care of. I tried to get him to understand the situation when the original thing started happening with the loan process, being getting too late in the first initial conversation, and it was quickly rectified. In the end, we all wound up acting just like we were family at Vanderbilt. I’m very happy with them, even with the speed bumps and frustration, and I'd definitely recommend them.

Communicating with them was easy. A lot of places put you through this whole automated system where it takes a period of time to get through, but with Vanderbilt, somebody answered pretty quick if you call. From start to finish, it probably took about a week and they gave me a call after everything was done. They gave me another call to verify to make sure that I understood what was going on. Vanderbilt quoted me a proposal and I explained to them that I didn’t think I’d be around for the 23 years. They explained to me that I could pay extra on the principal in order to pay it off in 12 to 15 years, depending on how much extra I paid on the principal. They came back with another proposal and got an estimate of what the escrow was gonna be and then we agreed on a price. I realized after they went into detail that I could not afford the original home that I would rather have. It costs $10,000 more than the one that I’ve got. But Vanderbilt worked with me to get a home that I needed, not exactly what I wanted, and at a price that I could afford. I was impressed with that and would recommend them.

They’ve given me time to get moved into the home before I actually had to make a payment. I got 45 days from the time that we signed the acceptance papers after the home was delivered and electricity was established. We actually did a walkthrough. And then when I got the paperwork back the first time, it was not due for that 45 days from the day that we signed and that was a surprise. I figured it would be a month from then. We didn’t actually get to move into the place for over a month after it was delivered because of all the rain delays and all the electrics. But when I finally did get in, I did not have to start paying on it until I actually was able to move into my home.

My ex-husband and I divorced in 2000 and it was in the divorce that I got the house. We were in a process of switching everything then he unexpectedly died. So the loan process with Vanderbilt ended up being such a mess. But Vanderbilt handled it very well. The rep I was in contact with all the time, Britney, was the most wonderful person and she deserves a raise. During the whole process, we were hit by hurricane Florence, so she called and checked on us when we were evacuated, but I'm sure she didn't have to do any of that stuff. It was because of her that I stayed with Vanderbilt. Aside from that, she called almost every day. If she said she'd call me back, then she'd call me back. We had to be gone for 10 days and so she followed through with everything.

We had a very complicated case and the application and underwriting took six months. But it was no fault of Vanderbilt. My ex-husband and I were on the loan together and when he died, we had to go through the estate and sign paperwork. Also, because of my ex-husband's wife, we had to go through lawyers and the state. We had to have a closing in two different areas as well because my ex-husband's wife didn't wanna meet with us. So, Vanderbilt had extra works to do. But Britney was wonderful. It was not a normal start to finish but she did everything. I've had to call Vanderbilt in between other stuff and nobody's been as great as her. Now my ex-husband is finally off my loan and I have everything in my name including all the insurance, taxes, and escrow. Another four or five days later, they told us they needed another thing. They should have told me upfront everything that they needed. I own a towing company in three cities and it’s kind of a hitch to be getting me to be able to do anything because I’m so busy towing cars. I run 20 trucks. That's why when they told me, “This is all you need,” but they turned out needing this and that, I'm like, “Man.” That really didn't bother me too much but that may bother somebody else.

Other than that everybody was very professional. I’ve told a couple of people about Vanderbilt. In my situation, we had a really nice house up for sale so we were waiting for people to close on that. We wound up with the chattel loan and it fit right in for us. People should use Vanderbilt.

But other than that, they were on top of everything. I didn't have to jump through too many hoops and they were willing to help me when I had to jump through a hoop. I work in mortgage closing, so maybe my questions were more advanced than an average person would have.

The only thing that could have been improved on is updates on where we were along the way. There were a lot of points where I didn’t know what was happening. Also, it was a little hard to actually get the person I need to talk to on the phone. I don’t really know who had what position. I spoke to a young man named Logan more than anybody, but he had to do a lot of referring to someone else. But he was very friendly and he always returned my phone call. The problem is that I typically cannot answer my cellphone at work. I typically had to leave a voicemail, so we played a lot of phone tag. While there are some things that couldn’t be done through text, text messaging seems to be the best way because I could text whenever and then they could respond whenever. Nevertheless, I’m in a home now and I’m never leaving it. So, I’m a happy camper.

We came back to Vanderbilt and then it went through beautifully. The application and underwriting process was very quick and was completed within three weeks. We went through the process of the trailer being manufactured and once it was done, we just had to sit and wait until we took occupation. Setting up the trailer was the most time-consuming but the loan process went swiftly and well. Everything was good and we told our friends that going through Vanderbilt was a great thing. It's an affordable way for people to get their houses and we've made suggestions for people to go through and buy the trailers through Vanderbilt.

Vanderbilt's application and underwriting took about four months, which was a little excessive. A lot of it was in the process because we are on a community well. It really wasn't Vanderbilt's fault, but it took a little time. They worked with me in doing all the legwork to close the loan as fast as possible. Sarah was the best. She was excellent in everything that she did and her punctuality impressed me. If she knew something, she was on the phone with me. Vanderbilt needs to give her a raise. I’ve recommended Vanderbilt to others.

Christy was the sales rep who told me what Vanderbilt needed from me and she was nice. She told me everything upfront and then she kept me up to date on everything. And everything she asked me to do, I did it. I had to get work done on my septic tank and I did it the same day she asked me to do it. If they needed something else, she would tell me and then I would call Vanderbilt, get the message from them and then fax them the paperwork.

But the process with Vanderbilt was tedious. I had a couple credit cards and they wanted me to pay off my loans. I understand that but there were minor $9 and $17 here and there that I paid off and they still needed proof that those were paid. I got this confirmation number and I had to get Christy and a person from the credit company in a three-way call to verify that. I also faxed them everything that they needed faxed but they still needed to talk to another person from the credit card company. So I said if that was what they needed, I was gonna do what I had to do. I just bit my tongue and did it.

I had to do it to get a house because I had nowhere to stay. I have Netflix on one credit card for $9 and my other bill is no more than $17, and those are on my card every month though. I told Vanderbilt that I would show them proof but next month, Netflix was gonna be back on my credit card. With Christy though, the experience was smooth at least.

The application and underwriting process at Vanderbilt Mortgage was handled in a timely fashion. I wasn’t sure what they wanted, so the lady who was helping me with buying a mobile home took care of everything and helped me fill out the application. It took about a week before I was told that I was approved. Then when I first started calling them and wanted some information, I kept trying to get the person that was taking care of the loan, but there was a receptionist that came on the line and kept telling me that it was their busiest and she was sorry that no one would give me a call back. I called four times and I couldn’t get anybody to call me back.

I’m still not in my house because of the rain and stuff, and I sent in a payment for October and November. However, I’m still not getting an amortization from Vanderbilt. I called customer service to get some information, and this lady was an absolute gem. She was apologizing all over the place, and there wasn’t a thing that she needed to apologize for because I wasn’t on the computer at the time because the house had not been delivered to my property due to the weather.

Several weeks later, an auditor called me and said that my payment date had been moved back. I told her that I already sent in two payments, but she could not see my account on the computer. I also told her that I wanted an amortization that was run by Vanderbilt showing that I would be paying 77,000 in interest because when I pulled it up on the computer, it was coming up with below 60s. She then called me back again and said that I could get it from customer service.

I got a welcome call several weeks ago and the Vanderbilt rep told me that my first payment was not due until March. I then asked what happened to my other two payments, which he said were applied to January and February. I’m fine with that. I also asked him about an amortization and he told me about this website where an amortization statement would be and I would be able to see my payments and what was applied.

I was disgruntled with Vanderbilt, at first, because I thought they were just really going super-slow, but that was because of the weather and they could not initiate anything until after my house was on the property. So, once I've understood that, I don’t have a problem with them at all. I’m still waiting for an amortization that shows me that I’m gonna pay them $77,000 in interest. But eventually, I’m sure somebody is gonna wake up and send me one.

Vanderbilt's loan process was great. I was able to do it in between my load or after work because it was so hard for me to get off from work. I talked to them about it, so they worked around my schedule. When I met with their rep, he was willing to wait until I got there. I live in Jeanerette which is about 35 to 40 minutes away and at the time I got off my bus, he told me to take my time through traffic because he was not going anywhere. They also normally got back to me if I had a concern even if they sent an email and a lot of times, I didn't catch their calls because I was driving my bus. But I checked my email often when I got home in the evening or when I stopped somewhere.

At the time I could move in, they pushed the date back from my first payment, which was December 1st. I was wishing it would have been January but you can't have everything. Other than that, I had a good experience with them. We had some delays because of the weather but it wasn't their fault and the application process didn't take long. The transparency of their lending process was cool, too. There was one thing that I wanted that I couldn't get but the lady explained to me that I didn't wanna go above my means. I wanna have a double-wide trailer but with the income I was making, she was right because I still have to live. I can't just buy stuff and not be able to pay the rest of my bills. So, they didn't just let you do it, like some people who are gonna try to find a way then get stuck it in.

I went through Vanderbilt before when I was married and at the time I split up with my ex husband, he stopped paying the loans, so I had to take them over. Vanderbilt worked with me and I explained that to them when I was first getting this loan here as I was doing it by myself. It was like I was starting over and I was scared. Also, I don't like rejection because I work as hard as a I can taking care of my daughters and they told me not to worry. They also said that they were gonna do what they have to do and help me as much as they could. Then they got all the information and made it happen. I liked that because I didn't wanna go to anybody else because I wasn't familiar with anyone else. Other than that, I was telling one of my girlfriends to talk to Vanderbilt, even though she never did anything with them. You never know what it's gonna be unless you act, and you can only get a yes or no answer. It ain't gonna hurt to talk and to ask.

Vanderbilt is pretty quick, depending on the credit. We started the contract on the 1st of September and we closed on the end of October. The rep that I was working with was knowledgeable about what he was talking about. He told us what we needed and made sure we got everything the first time. I filled out the paperwork, and they sent it off and said that it was good. Then I had a woman call me and she explained the payments and all that stuff.

The specialist went out of her way to make sure that we had everything done and we were doing it the right way. The lending process was great and I was very pleased.

Everything went very well with Vanderbilt Mortgage. Everybody took care of everything, they did most of the things for me and it worked out great. It was easy to communicate with them. The rep was very straightforward, very understanding with everything and very helpful if I had a question or if I have to be directed to a certain area. The whole process took less than a month and it was a very pleasing experience. I would recommend Vanderbilt to those buying a new home and/or another home. It's the best place they can go.

The person that I stayed in contact with more was Rebecca and she did all my paperwork. She was helpful with anything I needed and the interactions I had with her was very good. When I had a few questions, I would call her. And if it was something that she could answer, she would. If not, she would find out and call me right back. Vanderbilt was good for us and their transparency was good as well. There may be a thing or two we could have understood better to begin with. But working with them made things better and we got a home.

The application and underwriting process of my loan with Vanderbilt Mortgage took a month. This is the first time I've ever done this and Vanderbilt has done real good in working with me to close the loan. Every time we call the man we talked to the first time we went down there, he asks me to come where he's at as he has clients over there. He seemed to know what he was doing. I recommended Vanderbilt to one of my neighbors that used to live out here.

They worked with us as far as getting information and the stuff they needed, and by telling us what we needed to get done. Communicating with them was also easy and we did it through a phone call. Bryan, the rep I worked with, was pretty helpful and very knowledgeable. But I'd like to note that the closing could have been done at a more respectful place. We closed at a McDonald’s and it was convenient there but it could have been set up a little more professionally.

We did two application with Vanderbilt Mortgage. One was online and it was real quick. The whole process took three days to a week. They went above and beyond when they would answer questions, and all the delays were basically on our side. Even when I ask questions that didn't concern them, they would try to find out who I can talk to then give me that information. During the process, staying in touch with them was easy. Diego, our loan specialist, was quick to reply to my voicemail. I had a hard time getting a hold of him, but if I left a voicemail, he'd call back for sure that same day. However, I didn't like that we didn't speak to a Vanderbilt person at the closing. When we had issues, they didn't know.

The only issue that I have with them is I've purchased a regular house before and I had 30 days for my first house and it was due. And this is not happening here. Our home was installed on October 24th and we got in it yesterday. We didn't get the actual keys to the home until last Wednesday. I've been trying to move stuff in and finding flaws and problems in working with the factory. And now our payment's due, but we haven't even settled down and got in all the way. Other than that, I would recommend Vanderbilt.

The process went smoothly and it took about two months, which was reasonable because we had to order the home and it took us a little while to get it because we had a lot of personalization on the home itself. also, The home center was very helpful with answering any questions and any time we had any questions about the process, everyone at Vanderbilt was very nice and friendly. Unlike some places that say they can't help because they're not assigned to the case, the Vanderbilt reps went out of their way to help us any way they could. Any time we needed anything like if there was one that had sent me a message, and they weren't in the office, one of the other people in that department would do their best to help me. If it was assigned to one person, someone else would try to help me as best they could.

Then the next few steps dragged and took a little bit longer. It would have been nice to have known how long those steps were gonna take. A young lady was in charge of the process, but we worked with a different person every time we went to the next step. We didn't know we were being handed off to somebody else, which made things difficult. They should have let us know that we were being handed off to the next person and who that person was. We have our home mortgaged with VMF. Therefore, I called VMF today (11-15-18) about our insurance claim on the damages we suffered from Hurricane Michael. They were sent a large check issued from our insurance company for damages on our home and other things that have nothing to do with our house. They send out some of the check to start repairs but the amount sent out won't even touch what we need to fix our roof not to mention our floors from the water damage and well. They seemed to not care at all when I asked about the procedure to obtain the rest of the funds.

This is our insurance money that we pay every month and they are distributing it to us like a child in a candy store. This is a ridiculous process to have to go through to get our home fixed. The hurricane occurred on 10-10-18 and our roof has been standing open all this time and then they send us only a portion of OUR money to get the repairs done!! If we can ever get our house refinanced with another lender... I will never refer this company to anyone EVER!!

Vanderbilt Mortgage took care of me well. Although the loan application and underwriting process took a little while, it wasn't really their fault. It was mine as I needed to get some information for them and I needed to get it off of my W-2s, but I cannot find my W-2s for me and my wife. I got some calls from them on a Saturday which were kind of just getting updates on whether my W-2s have come in yet or not or talking about what could be done to get it or have it quicker. They helped me get through the process, and they were always super kind and not pushy on anything. Then after I got the information, the whole process went pretty quickly.

The person who took care of me was super kind and really helpful with everything. She was on point and seemed like she was doing everything correctly. However, there were a couple of times where if I didn't talk to her and I would need talk to somebody else, they seemed a little clueless on where we were. They were just looking at the application and doing what they could with the knowledge they have. So, that took a little while. But other than that, the transparency of the lending process was good. Vanderbilt's reps explained everything completely every single time. It was like they almost repeated themselves so many times to make sure that I heard and understood everything. I'll tell other people to consider Vanderbilt.

And it all worked out great! It didn't take long at all. It wasn't but about two weeks. All the paperwork went through the home manufacturer and their lawyer. I was with Vanderbilt kinda directly but kinda indirectly too. And everything went extremely well. Laura called me every now and then, asking questions, and she was very nice.
