I chose Vanderbilt Mortgage because the name was more out there than the other ones then. The application and underwriting process was easy. It took not too long because I had my salesperson helping me. The guy that did the notary stuff was there also and they helped walk me through the process. The rate and the terms were fair.

The application process with Vanderbilt Mortgage was very quick and easy. It took about 30 days from start to when I closed. However, it was a little confusing from the time that it was approved to when it moved to the next department. I worked with one person and she approved everything, then she had sent everything to another department that would get me on my final numbers and get everything ready. I had to keep calling the girl in the first process and ask if somebody was gonna call me because it took a while for the approved application to show up in the computer.

The mortgage process at Vanderbilt took an hour. A woman rep helped me and she was so personal. She had been very nice to me when she called. And with the way that I was treated, I couldn't have asked for anything better. I would recommend Vanderbilt Mortgage highly.

Our house got destroyed in the hurricane and it happened six weeks after we closed with Vanderbilt. We waited so long for debris removal and Vanderbilt was the least of our worries. They did such a wonderful job and they were on top of everything. They always kept in communication. They were done with us within a month and it was really fast.

But the application and underwriting process took longer because I would have to drive to the place. Otherwise, it was done in a timely manner. Vanderbilt always kept on calling me to keep me up to date with everything and every time I had to do something. I never really had to give them a call. I would recommend Vanderbilt.

Getting a hold of Vanderbilt wasn’t that hard. If I couldn't get a hold of the information, they would call me right back. All of them were very helpful. The application and underwriting process took almost a year though. We had a little bump on the road along the way, and it was on my part that it lasted that long. Still, Vanderbilt did a good job. The transparency of the lending process with them was very good. They told me what was going on and that they would really help along the way.

If it comes down to anybody else that I know of looking to go down that route to buy a mobile home or whatnot, I would absolutely recommend them to go through Vanderbilt. Our salesperson from the home manufacturer's also helped us tremendously and let us know what we needed. I gathered the documentation so as far as Vanderbilt Mortgage went, it was a smooth process. We had what we needed, which were submitted, then boom, there was no wait other than what Vanderbilt needed to do on their side. The process took about two days. A lady called and advised us of the approval and we briefly went over the terms.

He's still communicating through to us. Once I text him or call him or the others, I get an answer that same moment. Everything has been good thus far.

I’m beyond happy with my experience with Vanderbilt. I got a new house through working with them. We didn’t get approved everywhere else that we tried - Vanderbilt was the only one that approved us. Sometimes we had to make emails and leave messages and wait a while, but it wasn’t too bad. They addressed our questions and concerns very well, and they made us feel comfortable. They were very nice and helped us take care of any issues we may have had.

I had the most worst experience buy my first home with Ashley ** the loan officer and also the sale lady Sherry was playing all games with me. I was trying purchase a mobile home from them and when I tried to get my paperwork together and I wanted to sign a contract the lady Ashley ** Assume we wasn't telling her the truth when I had to her Sherry had counter offer me a price. I just think that this company have a big lack in communication with each other and also the property manager Scott didn't do anything to make it right. I thought this company is to treat people right, do the right thing and listen to our Customers.

It took us almost nine months from the time we started paperwork till we moved in. We had some issues with different places and they had a bunch of hold ups. But Vanderbilt was helpful anytime we were on the phone. I had the extension for the lady I needed to talk to and I just called her directly. If I had to leave a message, they were good about calling back. I didn’t know what we were doing and they answered all kinds of questions. I learned a lot about it.

We bought an older model mobile home that had been totally renovated and the application and underwriting process with Vanderbilt took close to 15 weeks. They were wonderful. We had some little ripples towards the end though and I contacted an individual who worked above the person, and he solved my problem in a day. He was absolutely outstanding and it was like Johnny on the spot. Their reps were pleasant and professional and Craig was especially helpful. We were so pleased with our experience with Vanderbilt and I'd highly recommend them.

Vanderbilt has been great. The home builder took six months to get a double-wide in there, so they all had a ton of time. Also, based on what I was charged, I should have gone through somebody else because I have excellent credit, so I might end up refinancing down the road.

Ever since I have been dealing with Vanderbilt Mortgage as of December 7th and went down to Wal-Mart and paid 1269.70 dollars to catch everything up on the home and bring it out of. Foreclosure and then went down after my parents passed away. Mom passed December 26th and my dad passed December 28th. After Vanderbilt was then paid another 296.52 in January. When February came they started refusing payments as of. Now they have file an unlawful detainee against me James and Tanya ** son so don't deal with them. That hard crooks.

Little did we know...getting a denial from this company was a blessing in disguise! We found a home at ** that we just fell in love with. We signed a purchase agreement, locked in the price and the salesman sent in for pre-approval to Vanderbilt. After a couple of days we were conditionally approved! They needed to verify income and work. They were well aware of my husband's work history and income as written on the application. We met all conditions as set forth in the “conditional approval” letter and then came the discrimination. This company found out that my husband was a union worker and they immediately shut down the whole loan process stating that it was a federal guideline that union workers had to be in the union for longer than 24 months. My attorney informed me that this was incorrect. There is not federal guidelines that state anything about fair housing or lending for union workers.

There are so many different departments, and they send you to so many different ones. I also had to resubmit things multiple times. There were about four reps from the word “go” and every time I talked to any of them, they treated me like I was their only customer. I was impressed with that.

Vanderbilt Mortgage filed at a bunch of different places trying to get a good interest rate and took about a good month process from the time they’ve done that and they called me back in to get a response and the time that it all took to get completed. Some of the questions they asked during the lending process didn’t make much sense, especially getting the insurance part. It was probably a formality they got to go through, but I didn’t understand why the mortgage company needed six months' worth of bank statements. Maybe they were trying to get a history or trying to get a payment history when my checks hit, but I liked the part that they set everything up to be bank drafted. I didn’t have to go through my bank and say, “Hey, look. I need this set up for this day, and this day, and then next month, and this day, and this day.” Vanderbilt set all that up. I got a bi-monthly payment and I like it.

The house is 2,300 square feet and it is too much for me to take care of. My wife passed away and I had to do something to downsize. Everything was laid out. My trailer didn’t get set up when it was supposed to so they postponed my payment, but everything has been normal. However, we had an issue that we had to wait after. I was looking forward to close and I didn’t get my keys yet. It’s the home company, but that makes Vanderbilt look bad. The home company also did it kinda funny. I had still owed some money, and they wanted me to go ahead and close before they received the rest of the money. Vanderbilt should be aware of what was going on. Now, I have to get ready to make a payment and I haven’t even been in the house in 45 days, so that’s unfair to me.

My son and I tried to get a loan for a mobile home from ** in West Sacramento, CA. And I also added my spouse as income, and I she is 20 years United Air Force!!! Our credit is above 700 hundred!! All three of us and we were denied, stated that we couldn't use her!! Where we were told they had done that before. I why I think Vanderbilt are prejudice and bias against age and color. I would hope that ** mobile home dealers would find some else as a lender.

Britney was my loan specialist and she was awesome and really nice. She went out of her way and did all she could do to help. We wound up being pretty good friends!

When they said that we were approved for house but I gotta get this, and this, and this, my patience went from having a whole lot to not very many at all. She explained everything she was doing, step-by-step, and if there was any changes, she'd let me know as well. There were a few things they missed out on but other than that, everything went well. They explained the process pretty well, but it would be better if there was more communication on their end. Vanderbilt's application process was good. Abby was my salesperson but most of the time, I've been dealing with a guy named John and now with Tody. However, I'm still having problems with the house. John was the project coordinator and he did nothing but lies. He was telling me that they fixed the roof. But when I went up there yesterday, they were shingle glues and they look bad on one side by the master bathroom and bedroom. The house is all twisted up. There's so much damage inside that house and I've been trying to get people to come out there to fix it, but they're only fixing minor things. The contractor told the general manager that we were happy with the house, but I told him we're not. I'm still dealing with that. Despite that issue, conducting business with Vanderbilt has been great.

Vanderbilt did great on everything. If we had any questions about the loan or any doubts, we could always call them and they were always available to us. They helped us out a lot with all the loan questions that we had. If they didn’t answer right away, they got back to us within a day. It was easy to know where we were. Also, the loan specialist that we worked with, Susan, did everything fine. My mom had a lot of questions and Susan could answer them.

I had to make my first payment to Vanderbilt, which I did, but I was not even living in the home. It came but it hasn’t been completed. I called Vanderbilt to let them know and the representatives helped me out. They were excellent. The guys finished up last week Wednesday and I’m supposed to go to the storage to get my furniture put in the place. The build of the home is fine but a person should make sure not to pay the mortgage if the place is not even finished yet.

Matt, is my customer representative and he was very concerned and comforting towards my situation. He stated a few methods that we could consider and he stated that he would try to assist in any way that he could. We talked again yesterday and not only did he do what he had explained to me, he had taken it a step further. He went above and my expectations to assist me. But Vanderbilt should stay on top of the home center. We worked with Vanderbilt's loan specialist named Corey and she did well. I could contact her quickly and she got back to me never more than a day. If I called because the home center wouldn’t do anything, they would take care of it right away. Vanderbilt did well for us and I have recommended them.

If I had a question, they would check it out. When I called them and I didn’t get an answer, I left a message. Later on, I would get a call back. If the person that I was trying to call wasn’t there, someone else would call me and answer my question.

Vanderbilt Mortgage was able to finance us with the rate that we were comfortable with and they understood that we were only willing to work within our budget. They also seemed like they wanted to be able to finance us the loan and we didn't feel like they were just out to see what they could make off of us. We had everything set up on a date when we first went to see the trailer. We looked at a trailer, and then figured out which one I wanted and picked one out. But there was too much miscommunication going on during the lending process at Vanderbilt. We could have had a lot of process done before, but it was more than likely that people were slacking on the job. The process could have been a lot better but everything started getting really serious and everybody started to get aggravated. Whenever we told somebody that we were gonna have time to wait before we put down the payment, it seemed like they didn’t understand it. And by the time we put the $5,000 down payment in, the amount was changed to $9,000. It really made me disappointed because it's not like everybody got a lot of money stowed away.

The Vanderbilt Mortgage rep was friendly and he stayed in touch. The process took a while though. Vanderbilt had to find out how much I was making and they could never get in touch with my job. But they ended up coming through and everything turned out fine.
