Vanderbilt was good to me and they were awesome. The application and underwriting process took about a week, which was very reasonable. Vanderbilt was very helpful and very informative during the process. They called me and kept me informed of all the steps and processes that I've got to do. The loan specialist was very nice and it was very easy to stay in communication with her. I'm very satisfied and I really appreciate Vanderbilt.

Vanderbilt Mortgage was great with everything. They gave me a lot of advice on a lot of things that I needed to do before I close the loan such as I had a couple of credit cards they gave me time to pay off before they actually finish processing the loan. They were very understanding of that, working with me on my down payment. We did a lot of late afternoon work because of my work schedule. I didn't have landline service and we had to work around my schedule because I'm a correctional officer and I couldn’t take my personal cellphone inside the facility. We did a lot of phone calls on afterhours. It took two weeks to complete the whole thing, when everything has finally come together and I was ready to purchase.
They did well as far as trying to hit me through my process or they were very patient with me, and I was patient with them. They had a very good attitude. When I was down, they were positive. When I thought I wasn’t gonna have everything situated to be approved, they were very encouraging. And most people are not like that. Once they see you start having difficulties or problems, they really just want to talk you through it quickly and get it over with if they feel like they can’t finance you. But it wasn’t like that with Vanderbilt. They were very encouraging even when I had the downfall.

We had a good experience with Vanderbilt all the way around. We went in there and filled out an application which took an hour. During the process, we got a lot of phone calls and their employees helped me in any way they could with everything that I needed. Everybody was super nice, friendly and helpful. They gave me all the information that I needed to have and made sure I have it. Anytime I had a question on how to get something, they were always there so everything went great. The application and underwriting process was fast and easy. We found out that we were approved in less than a week and we did the closing. Their lending process went smoothly. If a friend asks me about Vanderbilt, I would tell them to go to them.

I would recommend Vanderbilt Mortgage. They’re great people to deal with. I went straight to them and it was easy. They talked to me and asked me questions. I just call and they pick up, then they called me back when I left them a message and they’re on time. It takes two minutes. I liked how Troy, the loan specialist, had all the information that I needed and it was really comfortable working with him. The application process took less than a week and the transparency of the lending process was great. They had done a great job.

Vanderbilt Mortgage helped a lot in getting job verifications. They would call a business multiple times to make sure that they got in contact with everyone. It was also really easy to communicate with them. They have friendly customer service and they even have a number where you can text them. The loan officer helped get all the paperwork in order. He was really nice and if we had any question, he always answered the phone. And then, we worked with a lady after that for the closing. They’re really easy to use.

It was a good experience with Vanderbilt. My loan application took about a few weeks but completed in a timely manner. It was really easy in terms of communication. My rep was kind and helped make sure I got it, and the company made sure everything in the house was good and they did well. I highly recommend friends to go there and start getting it.

Vanderbilt worked with me through phone and email to close my loan. My loan officer, Mark, knew what he was doing and helped me out. Also, my communication with the team was good. They let me know everything. The whole application and lending process took about a month. Vanderbilt is a very good company as they got me my loan and I moved into a house which I’ve been in for a month.

Vanderbilt has extremely helpful people that go above and beyond to help you. When I applied with them, they were very easy to communicate with and the application and underwriting process took a month and a half. We were on a very short timeline and they really did everything they could to move it along and make sure we closed on time. Their process was also very easy to understand to follow along with everything. Plus, they were great with explaining and answering any questions we had.

The home loan process with Vanderbilt Mortgage didn't take long. The people I dealt with were good. They kept calling me to see if things were right and would the price be okay for me. However, they gave me a big price for my taxes which was higher than what I usually pay. I get a discount on my taxes and I thought they would call to find out how much those are in our town but they didn’t do that. Even so, my loan specialist was concerned about everything because I told her about my taxes being a little cheaper and she told me to find out how much it would be and to call her when the those would come in and she would work it out for me. Sometimes I couldn't get a hold of her but there was somebody else that would take her place and answer my questions. I'd tell my friends that people from Vanderbilt Mortgage are good to work with because they are right on the job and they don’t hesitate.

Vanderbilt Mortgage's process was the most frustrating, aggravating, and time-consuming thing I've done in my life. I was pushed to get things done because the house I was living in was sold and I had to get out. However, it took months to do what was needed which I thought would've been done in a little bit less time. It started June of last year and it took me six months or longer to get something done. A lot of the problem was due to the fact that I was self-employed and I had to prove in different ways that I made income which took a long time. Also, the local dealership that I dealt with didn't know how to do sales. They dropped a ball on a lot of stuff and it caused a lot of the time because of lack of following up on different situations that should've been done, plus there were things that didn't get sent to the mortgage department at the proper time. If the local dealership did their job, things would've gone so much faster and smoother.
So, the delay and aggravation was not Vanderbilt's fault, it's just the way the process was. Their mortgage department did wonderful and every single person I talked to was sweet, nice, and very professional. I couldn't have asked for anything better. However, they need to realize that sometimes, they got incompetent people dealing with the stuff that's very important.

I'm loving how my experience with Vanderbilt is going so far. The reps answered the questions that I had and explained everything real well. After the loan got approved, they called us for the closing date. We showed up and sure enough, they had everything. They read me all the paperwork and went over all the queries. It was a real easy process. And it helped that we had good credit as it was easy to qualify. Everything worked great.

The communication I had with Vanderbilt was excellent. Ashley was nice and she made sure that I was comfortable with everything. She would touch down with me where I could understand. She had a whole bunch of reassurance. I felt I wasn’t a stranger to her and she made me feel like she has known me for years. I never felt hesitant to ask her anything and she would answer all my calls and questions I had. Ashley and Sarah were great. I got emails and calls from them almost daily, just keeping in touch with me and keeping me updated.
Vanderbilt did what they had to do to get me in a home. They worked with me and they were good to me. The application and underwriting process took a while. Initially, when I had a home manufacturer in November, Vanderbilt approved me but the only downfall was that I lock in my job. They had to decrease my loan amount by 20,000. It wasn’t their fault technically. I got approved for a $54,000 loan but by the time that it was paid, it was almost like $250,000 loan for a trailer. They should be more upfront but it was fine and I’m in a home.
I’ve been telling people about Vanderbilt since they approved me. My parents got them too and I had never done anything where my mom back then would always go with me to the bank and get in line for me. I had been working on my credit for the past two years since I’ve got them but it’s not where I wanted it to be. They took a chance for me and I thank God for that.

Vanderbilt Mortgage was the easiest home loan process I went through. The application and underwriting process didn't take long at all. I only had two people I worked with. They called me three different times to go over the different options that I had while closing my loan. They also called me on my insurance to see if I wanted to shop the insurance or if I wanted them to do it. They were very personable. I was impressed by their friendliness and the positive attitude that they have from the very beginning. And they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Best experience I've ever had.
We changed our minds a couple of times, but everything was very quick and they were easy to work with. In addition, they gave me phone numbers. And the people that own the place that I bought also made it easier to get a hold of them. Moreover, Vanderbilt told me upfront how things are going to go with the lending process. And I would encourage friends to give them a try because of the ease of going through the process and the expertise with the information that they provide is accurate and on target.

Vanderbilt Mortgage was awesome. The application and underwriting process took a month and a half. We had to wait for my income tax that year for me to be able to pay closing cost. They moved the closing out for me to accommodate that. I mainly dealt with Jersey and he was awesome. Every time I had a question, if I send an email or I called him, he would call me back or send an email right back promptly. You could tell on his emails he’s very polite, more than willing to help me, just the wording and his choice of words to let me know that he was there for me. I felt like I had a friend on that side of the business, trying to help me get things kind of taken care of. Very good experience with those people and it was very easy.

Vanderbilt's application and underwriting process took a couple of weeks. There was some miscommunication between departments. This person thought that person did their job. Their reps told me about everything and kept updating me on what step they were at. They were really good about contacting me in the beginning. Vanderbilt's loan process was great. The application and underwriting processes took a couple weeks and it was quicker than we thought. The first time we tried to get financed, Vanderbilt wanted almost $30,000 down. But they were transparent because we went to the other place on High-10, and the guy told us our credit was bad and showed us some steps to improve our credit. It worked and then a year later, we went in to Vanderbilt and they only wanted $5,000 down. Also, they helped us out with stuff we couldn't figure out and it went smooth sailing.
The rep I dealt with was sweet, very nice and our communication was great. We sat at the table, talked and she walked us through everything. When I had questions, she was on point and knew what she was talking about. She walked us around a bunch of houses looking and we found the house we wanted. We changed up all the colors in it and she told us it might be two months before we got our house and within a month, they were delivering it. On the other hand, they messed up on some of the stuff in the house but they gave us a couple of gift cards to make up for it. Everything has been going smooth and if something happens, they come out and fix it right away. We called them and within a day, they were back. They were back out yesterday.

We have been fighting with Vanderbilt Mortgage since November. It was just one thing after another. In the end, it turned out okay. I have my trailer, but it definitely was a lengthy process that we weren't expecting. We originally looked at one trailer and then when we came back, that trailer wasn't available anymore, so we had to look at another trailer. We set up to get that trailer, but then it was out of my price range for what my credit was, which was fine. When we went back, the original trailer that we first looked at was back on the market, so we began trying to close in on that. Vanderbilt Mortgage's reps were definitely calm and did everything that they could to benefit us. They explained everything very well and they were very patient for sure. My salesman did really well and did what he could.
I just made my first month's payment and I'm already getting letters in the mail stating that I don't have insurance. I know that I have insurance. They’re trying to tell me that first month's payment was not even made. That definitely is not a good first impression. Vanderbilt is willing to work with you and try to get you in the best that they can, but make sure all your I's and T's are dotted and crossed because now I’m having to deal with this.

Vanderbilt kept us up to date to where they were at in the process and their rep that came and went through the signing of the papers was pretty good. It was all electronic now which was a little different from what I was used to because I’m kind of old school where you sign the papers right then with a pen in your hand. If you have electronic issues, it could slow down the process or you lose the information then you have to go start over again, and that was what she had to do at one point. But she knew what she was doing and it wasn’t her fault. We weren’t familiar with the electronic part of it and she explained it all thoroughly. Plus, she was easy on addressing all the concerns and any questions we had. She explained that we would get the paper copy, which we did, and that was important.
Vanderbuilt's transparency was really good. But when they were trying to get the numbers together, it took a while to point out the total cost from the builder because Vanderbuilt didn't send a cost breakdown sheet and what they sent us wasn’t what we were asking for. It was more of a generic breakdown where most of the cost was going but we needed it broken down a lot more than that. Their process would have also been more transparent if we knew exactly who to talk to about that. At first, we didn’t know who then it came down to where it was the builder. We’ve worked with Vanderbilt in the past and right from the start, they sent an itemized cost of where all the money was going. That part of their process had changed so that needed to be added back to it.
Other than that, everything else worked out great and they were good to work with. The application and underwriting process took longer than it should have but it was because the builder took a while to send the information in and it wasn't Vanderbuilt's fault. We get to pay this loan for about four years, and we’ll be back to Vanderbuilt for another one.

The start of the checklist of Vanderbilt was pretty simple and down the point. I thought they were going to come back after we provided all that but that was all they needed. They really didn't request anything else to process the loan other than signatures in person. Also, my wife's name is really long and they knew that the Parish Tax Office had her name messed up, so they had to put that on certain documents and had her sign it that way for legal means. Seemed like they did a lot of looking into it from all angles. So, it seemed pretty good.
A guy called and he verified everything we provided and wanted to double check a few things on like pay stubs. And then the other girl that called in after everything was approved, she explained to me how the process was going to work with billing and what options we were to pay for billing. They were all very nice and polite. It was also very easy to communicate with them. The way they had it set up on email and then they were also always courteous to call and it was pretty short and sweet to the point what needed to be talked about. No long drawn out ordeal.
Everything went pretty good with the lending process. The only thing my wife is having a problem with them now but not really a big problem is it seems like their bills coming out are very close to the due date. We don't get them until a few days or a week before the due date. And just for my wife, she likes having them a few weeks early. But we've been paying them online on the website. So, it's been fine. Everything's been getting paid on time and the website's working out good, as well.

Vanderbilt Mortgage loan process was easy and straightforward. Anytime we had questions, we could email, text them or call them, and they were right on the ball with their answer. Everything was laid out in the line of what needed to be done next, and it was done and taken care of. They’ve had everything handled from A to Z, and it was all good to go. We had a fantastic experience. We had to make an appointment to come in at an off-hours time and their loan specialist was willing to work around our schedule and it worked out just fine. Everything we’ve dealt with has been fantastic. It was really easy to conduct business with them.

I was living in a travel trailer for a month and it wasn't really comfortable. So, I was anxious to get the loan process with Vanderbilt all done. They first told us that we have a signing date on January 7th. But we didn't actually get to sign papers until January 31st. A month later from the time they first said they were going to sign papers. And some of it was just miscommunication.
But they were wonderful and everybody was easy to communicate with. They got right back to us when we had a question. However, it seemed like sometimes they'd ask the same questions over and over again and want the same information over and over again. They had it there already, but they wanted us to re-provide it. But the loan specialist was very polite and helpful. He got it through for us and he followed up on everything. If we had any questions, then, he'd get back to the trailer park. The trailer park we were dealing with was very difficult too. So, that made it harder for him. And there seemed to be a little bit of miscommunication too between the trailer park and him, what paperwork had to be done before the loans could be signed. But it's all been done now. And I'm happy. Overall, it was a very good experience.

The application and underwriting process with Vanderbilt took maybe a week. We gave Vanderbilt a deadline and we told them that we needed to be out of our apartment by February 28 and they actually took it as January 28. We ended up closing on our house in two weeks. They helped us out in so many ways because it was going through the actual community and not a private seller. So, they recommended me to another loaner, 21st Mortgage. They ended up calling me back a week later, seeing if we had found a place yet. And after that I knew I needed to go with Vanderbilt.
I was able to talk to all the Vanderbilt people fairly quickly, or even if I had left a message they’d call me back the next day. Any questions that we had, they were able to answer thoroughly. They sent us paperwork explaining everything that was going to happen, what the escrow was and explained everything on that. They explained our monthly statement on paper, saying what our monthly payments were gonna be and how much everything was gonna be, what we needed for down payment, and when we needed it. They pretty much, step-by-step process, laid it all out for us. I would recommend anybody to work with them.

The last time I bought a mobile, I walked in and said, “I want that one.” And that day, I was approved. This time, however, took a couple of weeks. It was not bad because that was how they do it now -- it has been many years since I bought one before. Now, you have to go through the approval process, and it just took longer than I expect.
In closing the loan, Jason called me and he was helping me to go through how to fill out all the stuff and there was another girl who called, and they were very helpful. Anytime I had any questions, they were right there. They were easily accessible. You don’t have to go through a voicemail nightmare since a human answers the phone. They made everything very smooth. They were very knowledgeable and friendly, too. They were impressed that I did not totally mess up the application, and it was pleasant to work with them. Also, the process was pretty transparent to me, and everything was laid out and explained well. There was not any hidden anything, and everything was right there in black and white.
As a matter of fact, there were two other lenders that I had applied to, and one of them never even responded. The other one only responded on paper and said, “No, we’re not interested.” I’m like, “Oh, okay. Well, then Vanderbilt wins.” I would encourage friends to go with Vanderbilt.

So, I was really happy. Everything that they’ve done was right on for my situation. It was also fairly easy to communicate with their reps. I texted them who I needed to speak to and if they were in the office, they would pick up. If not, they would call back within an hour or two. They got back once to get a hold of me and they also sent an email about the process that would help me.
Their loan specialist kept me updated, emailed me, and let me know what they were waiting on and everything that they had done. If I had any questions on something that wasn’t done, I called on him and he let me know exactly what it was. And within a day or two, whatever he said was going to be done. He was straightforward with me with the process and what was going on. They covered most of the basic and if they didn't, they would call me right back. And if they forgot something to tell me, they'd tell me right as I got off the phone. So, everything went well and I thank them very for giving me this opportunity to be a first-time homeowner for me, my wife, and daughter. They opened up another chapter in our life and I look forward to being with them for many years. Vanderbilt Mortgage worked with me very well and it took around three and a half weeks for the application and underwriting process to be completed. I had to pay off a couple of debts and they gave me time to do that. They called and asked me when I could get them paid off. I told them that it’d be the following week but it ended up taking an extra week or so. It all worked perfectly fine though. The lending process was very good. The loan specialists were very prompt and very courteous if there was anything they could do to help. I was impressed by their promptness and if they told me they were going to call me back at a certain time, they did. It was very easy to communicate with them and they answered every question that I had. If things can be worked out in your benefit, they all do their best to try to work it out. Everything has been wonderful so far and I'd recommend them.

This is the first time I bought a home and the lending process with Vanderbilt Mortgage was quick, easy, and very smooth. This was done at a location and through email. Customer service was fairly decent. The loan specialists were great people to work with. They were all friendly and kept saying, "Thank you. I appreciate your taking the time to make this loan, even though you're busy." They called me to get my information if they needed it.
It was easy to stay in contact with Vanderbilt, except during the employment verification because my dad is my boss. That part was a little bit of a headache, especially on my father’s side, because he tried to reach out to the rep, Sean, but he had difficulty with that. If people applying for a loan have to go through employment verification and they work for a family member, they would need to look into other avenues other than Vanderbilt to verify their employment. Other than that, Vanderbilt would be very useful to use. If I had to buy a house again, Vanderbilt Mortgage would be an avenue that I would take again.

She also looked and went through the paperwork and made sure there was nothing wrong. Also, if she had any questions, she just called me. Anything that needed to be done, I was asked, and it got taken care of. On the financial stuff, she helped me out by trying to figure out which way would be the better route for me to take. Vanderbilt Mortgage offered a good deal and I told them what the seller was asking and they made the loan to fit. They said it would be 45 days at the most to process my application. But due to some issue with the land, I closed after 59 days instead. The process took a while but anytime I sent them an email, they always responded. And they were clear with everything that was going on. I spoke with a few different people and they were always helpful. At one point, I wanted to offer the loan just a little bit and I wanted them to do a land survey to know exactly what they would buy. But they never did it.
When I got the quote back on the mobile home itself, it valued more than what the loan amount was for, even without land. I wanted to do the trailer and one lot. Then I would just buy the other three lots from the individual. If I could, I wanted to have some little land in my name as well since I want to build on it. But at the same time, I didn't want to build on it until it was paid off because if something were to happen, I didn't want to build on land only for it to be taken away.
I had asked Vanderbilt Mortgage about that and they told me that I had to split up the other three lots to do that. Then I would have to get a survey done and I would have to pay more for that. But I don't see why they didn't do a survey on the four lots themselves when the loan went through. They don't know where the property lands are because there was no resurvey done. When I closed, I had highlighted what was supposed to be the property lands and it included the neighbor's property. They said my down payment was for the appraisal of the home. It was supposed to be for the land but they never looked at anything as far as land wise. The only thing I ever saw was the appraisal of the trailer home itself. Other than that, Vanderbilt Mortgage was great and working with them was pretty easy.

The only communication I had with their rep was through email, but everything happened with no problems. And, she would respond within 30 minutes if I had a question. I had a question where I spoke with someone and they got me to his phone within two or three seconds. We were in a bind since we were selling one home and had no place to go. We told them the date when we were closing on the home that we were selling and said that we needed to have the loan done as close to that date as possible. They did really well and only missed by one day. I'd suggest giving Vanderbilt Mortgage a try.

Vanderbilt Mortgage was prompt about my loan application. It took them just about a couple of weeks to close on my loan. The process was also accurate and it was just a battle of signing the papers. It was easy to communicate with their loan specialist too. When Vanderbilt had the papers all drawn up, he and I met and sat down. We talked for about 40 minutes and he explained to me what I needed to do and what they expected of me. He was pretty thorough and he made sure I understood what was going on. The only question I had that was never answered was what kind of warranty we had on the house. Still, I highly recommend Vanderbilt. They were concerned about how things went.

I've had Vanderbilt for years. The first time we used Vanderbilt Mortgage, my husband and I had a single wide. We had them until they sold the mortgage over to 21st Mortgage. When my husband passed, I sold our old home. I bought a new home and did it for my daughter and my son-in-law. I was tickled pink when Vanderbilt jumped right on it and said they would carry the mortgage. I have nothing but great things to say about them.
During the process, they contacted me and they sent things through email and kept me posted on everything. They constantly asked me if there was anything else that I needed. They made everything very simple and I didn't have to do anything. The communication was excellent and seemed like one-on-one. In addition, the loan officer was there if I had any questions. The application and underwriting process didn't take too long and everything went pretty decent.
But there was a miscommunication where I somehow didn't understand at that time. There was one thing I was questioning. It had nothing to do with the email on the list and the list on that go off my payments so it got settled. It was extra on the loan. But it would be nice if I could get the payments cheaper. Vanderbilt would be a good place to try even if you have a lot of credits and you're just getting started. They are decent people with a great work file.

I started to finance my mobile home through Vanderbilt until I read some of the reviews from their customers! My heart goes out for the people they ripped off! Their loan specialist called a few days ago and I politely told him to just put my file in the paper shredder! Today I received a written quote from them! Big difference from what I was told on the phone and the written quote I received! Total loan amount, quote on phone $49,365.00. Written quote $66.120.00! Monthly payment quote on phone $470.00 for 23 years including escrow, written quote $563.00 for 30 years not including escrow! Bi-weekly quote on phone $218.00 including escrow, written bi-weekly quote $282.00 not including escrow!!!
They also sent me a letter explaining how they will have to do an appraisal and valuation on my property at my expense! I'm pretty sure I made it very clear that my property was NOT going to be used for as a down payment and I was NOT going to sign the deed over to them!!! Luckily I have enough money in a 401K account to write a check for my mobile home and not have to deal with a company like Vanderbilt! It blows my mind that several states attorney’s offices have not gone after them for predatory lending practices!!!

And every other time, it's within two to eight hours.
And while it was so easy to work with them, having a local office would be an improvement because I'd rather sit down and talk to somebody face to face instead of over the phone or email. Other than that, I don't feel like they hid anything from me. When I asked them a question, they were more than welcome to answer it entirely. They were easy to get a hold of and the phone center was easy to work with. They've helped in a lot of different ways and did a good job. It was nice to be able to talk to somebody versus doing everything online and a lot of mortgage companies are going to that now. The plan worked out and I was very happy to have people on the phone talking to me and answering any questions, which made it more personable.
I had spoken to one person who didn't know the answer. That person had to get another person, so I ended up speaking to a few different people. Vanderbilt can improve by personalizing. It would be hard to do that but there could be one person to deal with a handful of mortgages versus having to go through a lot of different people to get some answers. But other than that, communicating with Vanderbilt was easy. They were always upfront with any question I had and if they didn't know the answer, they would always get back to me. I was impressed by how easy it was to submit different numbers on different homes and different land passages, and they were able to get back in with it on time. And while everything stayed in one email thread, I had four different names on one email. For the most part, they were good, but I dealt with one girl who wasn't doing anything. She told me I had to get certain things from the seller. The seller then would tell me that I wasn’t supposed to do that and that Vanderbilt should be looking these stuff up by themselves.
So I stopped dealing with her and I started calling a different girl, Anna. She went to the seller and looked things up. We got stuff done better that way and she was a bunch of help. Every time that I needed something, she would take care of it. We started in September and closed on December 2nd because there were some liens on the home that weren't taken care of. I went to the Vanderbilt's website and looked at the other trailers they had already put up that somebody had, I tried them and I got approved. The process wasn’t that long but with me being anxious, I wish it would have been a lot faster. Every time I needed to get in contact with somebody, it was easy to get them and there was no wait. In most cases, people don’t explain it when they’re trying to sell you something but the reps at Vanderbilt explained the stuff very well and I understood everything down to the T. Once we decided what trailer we were getting, they configured the numbers to fit with it and from there, we went to closing. Everything took about a month. Martin and the rest of their reps were very knowledgeable and helped us with whatever we had questions with. They were pretty expedient about getting all the stuff that they needed from us and helping us figure out what we needed to get to them.

I'm self-employed and I thought I gave Vanderbilt Mortgage all the paperwork they wanted. They wanted a profit loss statement, but then they wanted a liability and assets statement too and I was not able to send that to the rep. Other than that, everything went well. I first talked to someone else from Vanderbilt, then they put me over to West and he lied to me. When I called and got a hold of him, he said that he was looking at my paperwork, but I knew better. Towards the end, West was howling around.
I stopped dealing with him and talked to the lady at the trailer park that we were in with. She said that she will call and see what was going on. Less than seven minutes after that, I got a call from Joshua and then I got a phone call from Vanderbilt. A few minutes after that, everything went right through. Up until then, I was being forced around for four or five days. Even though I had some issues, I understood. I talked to one of my other friends and he said that some of his friends were buying houses. The walk-through was wonderful. We had to go through progressive steps, but I had the loan within 60 days. Vanderbilt then got a hold of us and walked us through, asked us a bunch of questions, and we answered them and provided them with everything they needed. I have been dealing with Vanderbilt Mortgage since 2002. This is the most deceitful, underhanded, and rudest company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. First off a lot of people do not know Vanderbilt Mortgage and Homes First Insurance are the same company. Vanderbilt Mortgage tells you that they will escrow your insurance through their preferred insurance company Homes First Insurance. Vanderbilt hounds you if you are even close to your due date, then if you get a different insurance company they add their insurance back telling you that you have no insurance when their system shows your new insurance. Then when you decide to pay your mortgage off early they change the payoff every time that you pay it off. I WOULD RECOMMEND EVERYONE STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.
