Vanderbilt did great on my loan, especially their rep Missy who helped me out a lot. They also did a great job communicating with me via e-mail or phone call. They got my approval and then they called me and tried to let me know what I needed to pay off to get the final approval. After we were done, I had somebody call and talk to me about my terms even though somebody already explained it to me. They called me again and asked me if I had any questions, so it was nice to have some follow-up. With that, I would tell friends that the Vanderbilt people are friendly, easy to work with and they get their job done.

Vanderbilt's application and underwriting process only took two to three days. They helped by making a no downpayment and having a no downpayment option. They were on top of the process and know that when they couldn't get us, they notified the manufactured home personnel, so they could call us. However, I did not undestand their origination fee. I didn't know what that was for. It hasn't been explained to me, so far. We've been looking it up. It was just a fee for processing a loan, and I never saw that before. And it was what I thought was fairly excessive. That was the one thing that stood out the most.
When I called back, sometimes I didn't get the same person. But they had another person who did the same thing that could answer the questions and talk to me, and it wasn't very difficult at all. I am impressed at their knowledge of being able to answer questions or to get information to me. They were very efficient and fast in processing it, and that they did have options. If you have great credit, you have a no downpayment, which is very crucial when you bond. Sometimes you have to get a lot of set-up done and need your cash to be free for that.

I was set up with Vanderbilt Mortgage when I got my trailer. The process didn't take too long but I took long in going through trying to answer stuff with the system to get my property first. Vanderbilt really helped me and they waited on me to get all my paperwork geared up. It took about three more weeks as I did that. They called me every week and let me know about the process of my loan. And I told them I had to go to probate court and get my land taken care of and straighten out some old things and they waited on me. Then they had to do credit check and they drew up my paperwork and made sure. I had to pay down $1,700 and then I have my own land. They also told me how to go on the thing to pay my payment out of my check every month so I don't worry being late. So, they told me how to do that stuff and the payments for that to come out.
My loan specialist was Susan and she talked on the telephone. She kept me up to date with my paper, my process stuff and let me know how long before I could get my trailer. And then she let me know when my first payment start. She was nice with me and she told me that if I didn't ever get my probate stuff then I can go back and do a whole loan application back over and do my credit again. But I didn't have to go back to redo my credit. Now, my taxes would pay out of my escrow stuff every year and I won't have to worry about paying my taxes. We also talked about my insurance I had on my trailer about flood and wind damage and every stuff like that. All in all, I told a friend about Vanderbilt as well as told my ex-husband's brother-in-law to go up there. He did, he talked to them, and he got a trailer through them, too.

Vanderbilt Mortgage was pretty much on point with whatever they needed. We just had to get all the paperwork in order. There were a couple of hiccups where they needed some different paperwork and a little bit of miscommunication in the beginning. But once we got everything rolling, then it went right quickly. It seemed like there were five hands in the cookie jar though. Originally I was working with Wade and then I got a text message from a girl asking me for the paperwork that I had already submitted to Wade. Maybe they could have just one person working with the client. Otherwise, it was fairly easy conducting business with Vanderbilt. The application and underwriting process took a month, and the transparency of the lending process was good.

Working with Vanderbilt to close the loan was simple and easy and it took five days to a week to get everything approved. They called and asked several questions to see exactly how much I was making and they also called my two previous employers to get exactly my overall pay and make sure that it was correct. During the loan process, Vanderbilt got back to me right away and I didn’t have to do much at all. They were there, they answered every question and whenever they called, it was when I knew everything was okay and I didn't have to worry about it.
Vanderbilt let me know anything that was going on and if I didn't know, they would make sure to either find out for me or tell me right in so it’s very transparent. The loan specialist was great and she was able to answer any questions that I had about anything and also explained everything that I didn’t understand to where I could understand it. If you get a chance to finance through Vanderbilt, that's the way to go.

I had a lawsuit because of some doctors and I was waiting on it. I wanted to put $40,000 down as the initial on the new house. But whenever I ended up finding out exactly what I got when we went to court, I ended up way less than I thought I was going to. I thought I wouldn't be able to get it because that was going to put me with no money left at all because I had to file my land also. I was freaking out but Vanderbilt worked with me and knocked $10,000 off of the down payment for me. They went above and beyond.
I talked to Chris the most and he has one of my assist guys. I didn't think anything could have been improved because my credit is not great. I was divorced nine years ago and my ex-husband ruined my credit. Then, I got married in December and my husband is a worker. He has been at the same job for almost nine years which helps with the loan process as far as getting the loan because we have stability there. I explained everything that was going on, that I wanted to buy the piece of land next to my mom and dad and have a house there because my mom and dad are getting older. My mom ended up getting cancer and so it was really important that I live next door because I wanted to help take care of them. Chris listened to every aspect of it. He knew about the lawsuit and that I was waiting on that money. I got to explain to him why I wanted the land or the house and he helped me get along. I will never forget that.
We're paying it back but he gave us a chance and that meant the world to me. He was always very nice when I spoke to him. He had a heart, you could tell, and that's something rare when it comes to business stuff. So, I really give him Kudos. I also talked to other girls and they were amazing. They were really on it, sent me things, and got it done. Whenever they needed another piece of paper, they send an email and call me to let me know and I always knew what I needed to do to get everything done for the loan process. I wasn't waiting and not being told anything. They were honest. Chris and his group made it easy. If people can get along through there, Vanderbilt would be their best option.

Vanderbilt kept us updated with everything. They went out of their way in trying to help us out on getting the hold-up situation straightened out. Everybody that we spoke with was always very helpful. They were always there to keep us informed no matter if the update was good or bad, which is nice. Vanderbilt’s lending process was very clear and it was very easy to conduct business with them. Their people were very awesome. I would highly recommend them.

Altogether, the process, with everything it, took four months. They walked me through everything. I worked with a lot of them and one that I worked with was Samantha, but she’s not with them anymore and she caused a bunch of problems. Whenever we got everything that they needed and we faxed everything down there to them and she had it in her computer. It was all locked up and they could not get in and get it. So, I had to redo everything all over again and I didn’t like that one bit. And my computer blew up, so I had to go somewhere else and have it done. Whitney, nevertheless, got it straightened out, and she was a very nice person. They were okay, but, all in all, I was kinda unhappy.

I liked the way Vanderbilt did their services and I enjoyed it. I also liked the outcome of everything that was processed. My communication with their reps was good and whenever I asked them a question, they answered me back. Then, I did the same thing. Everyone went out of their way to help me out with my application. I went out and got whatever my rep needed, too. She also worked with me to try to get it done right away. The process took about a couple of weeks because I had to wait from ground level but it didn’t take much of my time. Right now, I’m about ready to move in. My daughters really liked their services as well and my oldest daughter wants to get into buying a home, too. Should anyone ask me about Vanderbilt, I would tell them to go over to see Trudy and talk with her.

I got approved with Vanderbilt Mortgage on November 23rd and it was finalized in the middle of January. But it was good because it was Christmas and Thanksgiving, so I understand that, plus the New Year, so it took some time. And it was okay with me because I knew I wasn’t gonna be at home right away. They emailed me with stuff and needed extra documents, and I had to wait until the banks were open because of the holidays. Vanderbilt’s loan process was great.
The loan specialist called me and walked me through it. She also answered all my questions, so it was great. She emailed me whenever she needed more documents. The actual home agency I bought the home through was a hot mess but Vanderbilt was great. They need to keep doing what they’re doing. I would tell my friends that I like Vanderbilt. It was a smooth process. The communication was great, and I got questions answered right away. I'm excited.

Coming up with some of Vanderbilt's documentation felt like there was an urgency that I didn’t understand, then all of a sudden, everything just came to a halt for a week or so. And the paperwork, in terms of my filling it out, took a couple of hours. Nonetheless, communicating with their reps was very straightforward. In fact, they kept the conversation up from their end very well. I spoken with Misty with some frequency and Daniel too. And they both seemed very friendly and knowledgeable. They were helpful and eager to be available. I didn’t feel I had a great need for them but they made themselves very available via e-mail and phone. They also contacted me several times during the process and said, “If you need anything, call us.” They went out of their way to make things clear to me.

Communicating with Vanderbilt Mortgage was simple. Drew, the guy at Springfield, said he would take care of everything we needed. Usually, we get a letter and then we contact Drew, then he gets ahold of our loan specialist. It was just three or four days to get the letter and then we contacted them. We were notified of everything, they were fast about it and there were no hiccups. It took less than a month.

When I applied with Vanderbilt, their lending process was self-explanatory. I told them my situation and they told me from the get-go, before I even filled up my application, what their criteria were and which criterion I'd be in. I knew how to get approved then I filled out the application and dropped it off back at the home center. Vanderbilt notified me on the same day to let me know that they received my application. A text message let me know that a loan officer would be in touch with me in a couple days and later, Vanderbilt contacted me through email. Then they called me. It took three to four days from the time that I submitted my application to the time that they gave me a conditional offer.
Vanderbilt had to keep changing my numbers until I finally decided on the one that I liked and they were with me every step of the way. Once I decided on the home that I was going to go with and they decided to get the closing done, it was easy to get everything they were asking for to them, as well as to get everything verified and set up for me to close. They notified me about what I needed to do and that I got to make sure to get it to them at a timely manner which helped speed things along. My loan originator, Keni, walked me through step by step every time there was a change done by the home center or there were things that they added or took off. She would notify me what the new numbers were and what I was looking at until it finally got to a point that everything was set in stone and she was able to send everything over to the next department.
Then another lady called and explained to me how she needed to verify my appointment with my income stubs and my tax information for the last couple of years. I was able to take those things to the home center and they made copies of it. Then, they sent it up to Vanderbilt who then went on and put my application through to the final approval department. Once they received final approval, I was set to close. Vanderbilt then notified the home center where I was buying my home to let them know that they were ready for me to close. I went to the home center and I found my closing document there. Then I signed the closing documents in my office. I have referred Vanderbilt to people and told them how Vanderbilt worked with me and made sure that I was happy. Also, Vanderbilt has a sister company out there called 21st Mortgage and I would recommend them over 21st Mortgage.

The application and underwriting process with Vanderbilt took some days and my daughter was really in most of it for me. I have my own insurance and there was something in there about my escrow which I don’t really have. I won’t be paying taxes because I'm in my daughter and son-in-law's property, so I didn’t need any escrow coming out at all. I just want the amount of my mobile home itself and that’s what I’m paying for. We've been trying to get this payment deal resolved for about a month now. My daughter has been working on this for me because she knows it more about this escrow business and I didn’t know a thing about it. So, everything is new to us with buying this mobile home.
My daughter has been trying to talk to Vanderbilt about this issue and we haven't been able to get across with anybody with that yet. I need to get that done as it’s still important that we did that. Nevertheless, everybody was very helpful and did their part during the loan process. I had more problems with the manufacturer than anything but it was easy to communicate with Vanderbilt. I was turned over to different people with each department and everybody was good. Overall, Vanderbilt's lending process seemed to have gone well and I would tell my friends to go with them.

All around, Vanderbilt seemed like a great company. They were recommended to me by a couple of folks. And when I purchased my home, they had a bunch of different mortgage lenders. I did my research and my homework and me and wife collectively chose Vanderbilt. I'm a first-time homebuyer and I'm so excited. My home is beautiful. Me and my wife picked out the home that we wanted and Vanderbilt made sure we got it. They did a fantastic job of getting me to point where I needed to be and gathering all the information and making sure they had everything done right the first time. Good team over there. There were times when I needed to speak with them and they always had someone available. It was addressed quickly. We communicated through email, phone, and text message. They made everything convenient for me. Both the application and underwriting process didn’t take that long. Just a couple of months.
Sarah, our loan specialist handled the situation and the whole process great. She was very professional with everything. It was very easy communicating with her. She was available any time I needed to speak with her. If she was out of the office or on vacation, there was someone that they had that would step right in and get my issues resolved. If there was someone in another division I needed to speak to, she made sure that they contacted me at their earliest and my earliest convenience. I would highly recommend Vanderbilt.

Vanderbilt Mortgage was super helpful. They made the loan process smooth and that was the easy part. I submitted the application May 26 and I closed on August 11 last year. There was a lady who took the application and she was so helpful in explaining the process and what steps. Then it went to Tanya, and she finalized everything. She was willing to explain the process and gave updates as far as where we were at. And even when the loan closed, she followed up during the construction of the home.
Every time I called, they were so kind in explaining things. They even emailed me often. We were able to do a lot of transactions through email as far as documentation that they needed. That was helpful and it saved time. Their communication was excellent and that's important when you are on this side of things and especially when you have not gone through it or have no understanding of the home loan process. It's important that they always take the time to explain and answer any questions and they weren’t impatient. I would recommend Vanderbilt simply because of their customer service.

Been in this home 2 years and it's falling apart. There is no way to get this home refinance and get a lower mortgage because home has no equity. The insurance company and the home protection plan we purchase for five years of protection is owned and operated by Vanderbilt. The home protection plan was suppose to protect any problems that happen after the one year warranty ended. So far they don't cover anything like the carpet pulling away and bulking up cracks in the baseboards around the house, the closets weren't finished so now the sheetrock in them are cracking. Every time I call about something they send out an adjuster to review the claim and then say it doesn't affect the structure so it's not covered. I thought this company was going to be a good company to do business with but they are just another predatory loan company that preys on people. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

I am grateful for his help and I really appreciate him going above and beyond his job description to help me solve the problem. I am in my new home and loving it!

I started with Vanderbilt Mortgage back in July of last year. My situation was a little complicated though. I lived in a mobile home that's in my dad's name. So, when I went to purchase a new home of my own, I told my father. Through his agreement, I was going to pay off the home that was in his name because I was the one making the payments. But I included that home in the new deal with my new home and Vanderbilt had a difficult time because I talked to a girl in the middle of last month and she said that my paperwork was in and that the deal was done. They had sent an audit for my paperwork and there was a couple of things that I needed to initial. I sent that back and she said that it was good. So, the deal was complete.
I asked her if she was sure because the payment for the other home is due April 1st and she said that it was good, that they are going to pay off the loan, that the only thing I owe is for the new home and that the payment will be due May 1st. But then Vanderbilt kept calling back for the other home loan that's not even in my name. I've been dealing with that for the past two days. Nobody can figure out what exactly is going on. A guy named Brett had my dad call, put me on his loan so Brett was able to talk to me about it. I talked to them today and they still don’t exactly know what was going on. I spoke to Alex which is on Brett's team and he told me that he would call me back in about an hour but I haven't heard from him yet.
My concern and my father's concern is if they turn that in to some collection agency and ding his credit even though that loan should be paid off and that dent would be on my payments now. The loan with my father shouldn't even exist anymore. My experience with Vanderbilt was great. It's just that here at the end, all the things that I thought were in line, everybody has questions about and not everyone in the loop understands because everybody that I speak to says that I have to go speak to a supervisor or they have to talk to their manager. But everybody that calls me back is a different person so we have to start over every time.

Vanderbilt saw what options I had and adjusted what they could to help make the payments a little easier. They told me what I had already out for loans and that I would need stuff for the house, so they worked with me to manage to do that. The only thing that needed to be tweaked was maybe adding a section for a house like some furniture after getting the house. The loan process was pretty straightforward and it took about three days. They gave me the first rep and I spoke with him and they tried to get the process done as well as they could. We wound up going a different route and a different house, and we wound up working out better for what I can afford, which is the house I got now.
I asked questions about the loan and stuff, and Vanderbilt was easy to work with. I like the knowledge of the staff, their ability to work with me, and get what needed to get done on the phone. They know how to keep up to date and they're pretty good on keeping in touch on some things. It was very easy to get a hold of them, and they know exactly where to send you if they don’t have the proper answer to the question that you may have. The Vanderbilt people are pretty good about doing their job right.

I originally had a Longwood Country Place. The house was ordered done but the mortgage people let the loan expire and then decided to tell me 10 days after Christmas. They had put it to my charge that they were going to run on my credit, and so I tried to explain to them that my debt and income are going to be different. Vanderbilt's representative heard the story about how we had gotten run around and how we had a house that had been ordered, built and just sitting there. Vanderbilt jumped on, kicked butts, and literally the whole process was done in 10 days. I spoke several times a day with different people at Vanderbilt. We got screwed completely over at the Country Place but Vanderbilt literally did everything perfect for my finance with what I got from my bank. We walked in there with the credit score right at 800, offered what was unbelievable for a mobile home, and picked up the house of our dreams that we never really imagined we'll get.
The whole process can be confusing but when I compare the whole rigmarole and the lies and what happened with the other place and then I look at how I knew every step that what was happening and I was updated in, I just knew. I was explained on what was going on. Vanderbilt's lending process was very transparent and very simple. They probably need to adjust, but it was very easy to understand. Bruce was the loan specialist I spoke with and the Vanderbilt people were awesome. Everyone we talked to was extremely genuine and they were concerned about what our family had gone through. With that previous Country Place, it was over nine months waiting before everything was finally done.
But it happened to be that the day I went to the previous Country Place, Vanderbilt was there. They said, "Let’s go have your information. We've made you an offer several months ago. We realized we were looking at a different house now because things have changed." Everyone was super sympathetic to our situation. They treated us right and did their best to honestly right the wrong that happened. I couldn’t ask for more than what this company did to get us a home. Vanderbilt made everything right and as quick of a time as humanly possible. They made it all happen and they did what they said they were going to do.

There were a few minor stuff that I had an issue with when we used Vanderbilt. The first house went a little bit bad. They did everything and in some kind of way, it was more than what my credit would approve so that didn’t work out. I went to another one and it was like a back and forth thing. They finally said, “We’ll go with a newer one.” And it was a lot cheaper than the original one we were looking at. I wanted the one that was there on the lot. The other ones they had were taken so we went with that one.
When we did a finance application, they didn’t know exactly what I would be approved of. That should be better because at first it they said, “Okay, you can get this one” so that was the one I was looking at. And the next one, the newer one, I had an issue with that too. I had to do the will on that. That was the only way I could get the newer one for some reason. Vanderbilt called me during the process. But I haven’t moved in the house yet because I still I'm still lacking the will. It’s hard to find somebody to do a will. The only thing I got now is they want me to send in a payment but I thought I wouldn't start making my payment until I moved in. Other than those, they were pretty honest at Vanderbilt and everything was okay.

My experience with Vanderbilt Mortgage was great, although the application and underwriting process took a while because we went a couple of different routes. At first, we went FHA and I decided I didn’t really care for that and I didn’t like the way that was going so I went conventional. It took almost about a year. Vanderbilt did everything that I asked them to do and everything was fair. The only improvement is when one person called me and no matter if I called their phone number, then they called my phone directly back I ended up at a totally different office and I got to figure out who called. But it was very easy to stay in communication with Vanderbilt during the loan process. If I didn’t get somebody on the phone when I called, they called back.
Everything was great with my loan specialist. I started out with Diego, then with all of his group who was lower than him. They all did a good job. Once we got it switched to the conventional, it was quick and it went a lot quicker than FHA. Diego was right on top of it. It was never, “Let me call you back.” He would answer any questions I had while we were on the phone. And if he had to call back, it was within the next 30 to 45 minutes. The overall transparency of Vanderbilt’s lending process was also good and it was very easy to conduct business with them. They got me the best rate on almost everything that I could do. The loan specialist was always on top of things and she would call us. She explained everything really nice. We had to go back and forth trying to understand her. Then we had some issues with the creditor and she told us what to do and what not to do. I had a very good experience with the agent. All of them were polite and if we had a question, they would call us back for the answer. Also, they would talk to the lender or to somebody else, and then they will call us right back and let us know what was going on. Vanderbilt did a good job and I recommend them. However, they told me the price was going to be $93,000 but on the paperwork that they sent me it was $134,000. I would real high recommend them.

The loan application and underwriting process at Vanderbilt Mortgage were fast. The application took about a week. And their loan specialist would call and tell me what was going on, what the bank said, and what was the loan amount approved. Whatever she asked me for, I'd get it and fax it to them and they were trying to get all the number and the stuff together for the mobile home. The communication was fine and every time I called, they always answered, if not, they'd call back. Also, they answered all my questions when I needed some answers. Overall, it was a long process, but we worked through it. And the people at Vanderbilt were really good to work with. I would recommend them.

The application and underwriting process with Vanderbilt Mortgage took about two weeks. I had one trailer picked out and then I went to another trailer. So Vanderbilt had to redo it but they were really efficient on everything they did for me. I worked with Elizabeth, my loan specialist, and she was always really friendly with me. I helped in getting all the information that she needed and she contacted me every time I needed to get something that she needed. I emailed and faxed stuff to her and it was a pretty easy process. Every time that we had a quote, they would call me and talk to me about it to see what I was interested in. There were several girls that would call me from different departments, but Elizabeth and Laura were the ones who worked with me the most.
The communication among us all was really good and we could call or text when they needed something. If they couldn’t get a hold of me by phone, they would send me an email or text me and I could call them right away. They kept me informed and they were really good about letting me know what I qualified for and that I could qualify furthermore if I wanted it. They never harassed me or tried to get me to buy a newer home and even though I qualified for more money, they never bothered me. I feel like it was a pleasant experience working with Vanderbilt and I didn’t get stressed out like I had in the past when I bought a home and it took so long. I would definitely tell my friends that Vanderbilt Mortgage was a good company to work with.

We were shopping around for different vendors and Vanderbilt was one of the places, and we went back and forth with numbers. When the numbers didn’t agree, I would sort it out on where exactly the line-items were coming from and customer service was very helpful. The application and underwriting process took just a few weeks from the time we purchased the house to when it was finalized. In the beginning, Vanderbilt Mortgage was a little picky about the items I needed to provide, sometimes unnecessarily, but for my situation, it wasn’t overbearing.
My interactions with the loan specialist were excellent and they were very prompt in answering any inquiries. But I had some issues where the analysts weren’t on the same page with each other, so things got reported to one of the loan officers that wasn’t communicated to the others. And because of this, the reps were asking for things which had already been provided over and over. That was a little headache and it delayed the loan process a little by a few weeks, but I’m happy overall.
I'm impressed with their willingness to answer questions and that they did not shy away from anything I needed to be answered. When I asked, they gave explanations on everything, so they had a good transparency and I did not get the impression that they were trying to hide anything. However, the communication amongst the entire group that was involved with my account could be improved. And there were some charges which weren’t clear to me and they weren't upfront with those. They should give line-items for all charges and for all processes so people would know what the next process was going to be before it happens. Nevertheless, Vanderbilt is a good company to work with and I would recommend them to other people.

But other than that, communicating with them was okay. They were right there if I needed them, and they were good at addressing my questions and they would explain everything to me. We had an FHA loan. The initial process with Vanderbilt Mortgage took around ten to twenty minutes to get it approved. When we first got there, all I did was write my name and they explained the details of what everything was. We had a lot of confusions about what the cost was and that was really helpful. They were very consistent. It was always one person that I was supposed to speak to initially but I always missed the call so I tried to call them back. Obviously, they’re busy. They’re talking to a bunch of other people so I had to talk to someone else. They didn’t fully know what was going on but they did everything up to their best extent to be able to help me out and answer any questions I had.
There were three different phases. With each phase, I had spoken with a different person that was handling it. I had one person that had to interview me to make sure and asked me all the right questions that they wanted to know. And then, there was the initial and we also had someone come down for the closing. The communication level with them was excellent and I felt very comfortable with them. I was impressed with the whole loan process of Vanderbilt Mortgage. When I went down and tried to get a new loan at my bank that I bank with all the time, they wouldn't even talk to me about a loan, especially on a mobile home. But when I went and put the application in with Vanderbilt, I figured I was going to get denied again, but it was approved with the conditions that I get my truck paid off. They talked to the lot where I got the trailer from. They explained to them what was going on and they got the trailer lot to pay off my truck for me, free and clear, so it didn't go on the tail of the loan.
During the application and the underwriting process, I had a bunch of other things going on, so it took longer than normal and it was fine. It would have been a faster process had I not had other things going on at the same time. Vanderbilt helped to get my truck paid off and they worked with me. They understood the situation at the time. They've been in the situation and know people who have been like that before. They were even concerned about my brother and how he was doing. They didn't have to ask anything about him but they showed care and concern. Communicating with them wasn't hard at all. If I had a question about something, I could call them right up and it wouldn't take long at all to get the answers that I needed because they were really good on their response time.
Their loan specialist was very kind and courteous. If I didn't understand something, she would explain it to me in easier terms. And Vanderbilt really made sure that I understood what was going on so it was a nice loan application to go through. I could not have asked for a better loan application or process to go through. Vanderbilt Mortgage was excellent to work with. They’ve kept us in the loop on everything. When we hit a snag on something, they’d call and say, “Hey, here’s what’s going on. We had to back up and regroup because of the land that we had chosen. We ended up with a problem on getting it. The man who owned it ended up in bankruptcy. The bank agreed to sell it, but then they jacked the price up. They doubled the profit. So we said no.
Everybody at Vanderbilt that we talked to was friendly and helpful. They were upfront with just about everything and that goes a long way with me. The Vanderbilt Mortgage application and underwriting process took about almost two months. Tammy was the financial officer that was assigned to us but we never got in touch with her. Only the workers that were there helped us. We told them we wanted to talk to Tammy but she never responded back to our call. Also, we insisted on the actual financial discussion of what amount was being financed and the percentage was with the person that came that we can sit down with because the seller said that she’s not supposed to be involved with that. It was supposed to be from Vanderbilt doing that but we never settled down with the actual people or go about what the amount was. We had a few questions with that but never came up with our seller here and we got it on what was financed by Vanderbilt. They showed it to us and we just went with it.
The Vanderbilt financial officer should respond to the person that is buying the house because that house is very important and the amount that he’s going to spend on that house is valuable to Vanderbilt and also the homeowner. They should contact each other a lot about how much it's going to cost, what the finance charge is, how long it’s going to be and who the insurance provider will be. Vanderbilt Mortgage's process was the most frustrating, aggravating, and time-consuming thing I've done in my life. I was pushed to get things done because the house I was living in was sold and I had to get out. However, it took months to do what was needed which I thought would've been done in a little bit less time. It started June of last year and it took me six months or longer to get something done. A lot of the problem was due to the fact that I was self-employed and I had to prove in different ways that I made income which took a long time. Also, the local dealership that I dealt with didn't know how to do sales. They dropped a ball on a lot of stuff and it caused a lot of the time because of lack of following up on different situations that should've been done, plus there were things that didn't get sent to the mortgage department at the proper time. If the local dealership did their job, things would've gone so much faster and smoother.
So, the delay and aggravation was not Vanderbilt's fault, it's just the way the process was. Their mortgage department did wonderful and every single person I talked to was sweet, nice, and very professional. I couldn't have asked for anything better. However, they need to realize that sometimes, they got incompetent people dealing with the stuff that's very important.

Vanderbilt did what they had to do to get me in a home. They worked with me and they were good to me. The application and underwriting process took a while. Initially, when I had a home manufacturer in November, Vanderbilt approved me but the only downfall was that I lock in my job. They had to decrease my loan amount by 20,000. It wasn’t their fault technically. I got approved for a $54,000 loan but by the time that it was paid, it was almost like $250,000 loan for a trailer. They should be more upfront but it was fine and I’m in a home.
I’ve been telling people about Vanderbilt since they approved me. My parents got them too and I had never done anything where my mom back then would always go with me to the bank and get in line for me. I had been working on my credit for the past two years since I’ve got them but it’s not where I wanted it to be. They took a chance for me and I thank God for that.

Vanderbilt Mortgage was the easiest home loan process I went through. The application and underwriting process didn't take long at all. I only had two people I worked with. They called me three different times to go over the different options that I had while closing my loan. They also called me on my insurance to see if I wanted to shop the insurance or if I wanted them to do it. They were very personable. I was impressed by their friendliness and the positive attitude that they have from the very beginning. And they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Best experience I've ever had.
We changed our minds a couple of times, but everything was very quick and they were easy to work with. In addition, they gave me phone numbers. And the people that own the place that I bought also made it easier to get a hold of them. Moreover, Vanderbilt told me upfront how things are going to go with the lending process. And I would encourage friends to give them a try because of the ease of going through the process and the expertise with the information that they provide is accurate and on target.

They moved the closing out for me to accommodate that. I mainly dealt with Jersey and he was awesome. Every time I had a question, if I send an email or I called him, he would call me back or send an email right back promptly. You could tell on his emails he’s very polite, more than willing to help me, just the wording and his choice of words to let me know that he was there for me. I felt like I had a friend on that side of the business, trying to help me get things kind of taken care of. Very good experience with those people and it was very easy.

Vanderbilt's loan process was great. The application and underwriting processes took a couple weeks and it was quicker than we thought. The first time we tried to get financed, Vanderbilt wanted almost $30,000 down. It worked and then a year later, we went in to Vanderbilt and they only wanted $5,000 down. Also, they helped us out with stuff we couldn't figure out and it went smooth sailing.
The rep I dealt with was sweet, very nice and our communication was great. We sat at the table, talked and she walked us through everything. When I had questions, she was on point and knew what she was talking about. She walked us around a bunch of houses looking and we found the house we wanted. We changed up all the colors in it and she told us it might be two months before we got our house and within a month, they were delivering it. On the other hand, they messed up on some of the stuff in the house but they gave us a couple of gift cards to make up for it. Everything has been going smooth and if something happens, they come out and fix it right away. We called them and within a day, they were back. They were back out yesterday.

We have been fighting with Vanderbilt Mortgage since November. It was just one thing after another. In the end, it turned out okay. I have my trailer, but it definitely was a lengthy process that we weren't expecting. We originally looked at one trailer and then when we came back, that trailer wasn't available anymore, so we had to look at another trailer. We set up to get that trailer, but then it was out of my price range for what my credit was, which was fine. When we went back, the original trailer that we first looked at was back on the market, so we began trying to close in on that. Vanderbilt Mortgage's reps were definitely calm and did everything that they could to benefit us. They explained everything very well and they were very patient for sure. My salesman did really well and did what he could.
I just made my first month's payment and I'm already getting letters in the mail stating that I don't have insurance. I know that I have insurance. They’re trying to tell me that first month's payment was not even made. That definitely is not a good first impression. Vanderbilt kept us up to date to where they were at in the process and their rep that came and went through the signing of the papers was pretty good. It was all electronic now which was a little different from what I was used to because I’m kind of old school where you sign the papers right then with a pen in your hand. If you have electronic issues, it could slow down the process or you lose the information then you have to go start over again, and that was what she had to do at one point. But she knew what she was doing and it wasn’t her fault. We weren’t familiar with the electronic part of it and she explained it all thoroughly. Plus, she was easy on addressing all the concerns and any questions we had. She explained that we would get the paper copy, which we did, and that was important.
Vanderbuilt's transparency was really good. But when they were trying to get the numbers together, it took a while to point out the total cost from the builder because Vanderbuilt didn't send a cost breakdown sheet and what they sent us wasn’t what we were asking for. It was more of a generic breakdown where most of the cost was going but we needed it broken down a lot more than that. Their process would have also been more transparent if we knew exactly who to talk to about that. At first, we didn’t know who then it came down to where it was the builder. We’ve worked with Vanderbilt in the past and right from the start, they sent an itemized cost of where all the money was going. That part of their process had changed so that needed to be added back to it.
Other than that, everything else worked out great and they were good to work with. The application and underwriting process took longer than it should have but it was because the builder took a while to send the information in and it wasn't Vanderbuilt's fault. We get to pay this loan for about four years, and we’ll be back to Vanderbuilt for another one.

The start of the checklist of Vanderbilt was pretty simple and down the point. I thought they were going to come back after we provided all that but that was all they needed. They really didn't request anything else to process the loan other than signatures in person. Also, my wife's name is really long and they knew that the Parish Tax Office had her name messed up, so they had to put that on certain documents and had her sign it that way for legal means. Seemed like they did a lot of looking into it from all angles. So, it seemed pretty good.
A guy called and he verified everything we provided and wanted to double check a few things on like pay stubs. And then the other girl that called in after everything was approved, she explained to me how the process was going to work with billing and what options we were to pay for billing. They were all very nice and polite. It was also very easy to communicate with them. The way they had it set up on email and then they were also always courteous to call and it was pretty short and sweet to the point what needed to be talked about. No long drawn out ordeal.
Everything went pretty good with the lending process. The only thing my wife is having a problem with them now but not really a big problem is it seems like their bills coming out are very close to the due date. We don't get them until a few days or a week before the due date. And just for my wife, she likes having them a few weeks early. But we've been paying them online on the website. So, it's been fine. Everything's been getting paid on time and the website's working out good, as well.

A month later from the time they first said they were going to sign papers. And some of it was just miscommunication.
But they were wonderful and everybody was easy to communicate with. They got right back to us when we had a question. However, it seemed like sometimes they'd ask the same questions over and over again and want the same information over and over again. They had it there already, but they wanted us to re-provide it. But the loan specialist was very polite and helpful. He got it through for us and he followed up on everything. If we had any questions, then, he'd get back to the trailer park. The trailer park we were dealing with was very difficult too. So, that made it harder for him. And there seemed to be a little bit of miscommunication too between the trailer park and him, what paperwork had to be done before the loans could be signed. But it's all been done now. So, they were able to tell me what I had needed to put down so I can make it happen. Also, I like to pay my stuff online and I didn’t know how to do that. So, they helped me tremendously to figure out how to go in and do that. Everybody has been really helpful. I have no complaints at all. I would highly recommend Vanderbilt to everybody else I know if they were buying a new home. I liked the transparency of their lending process, everything was out in the open and nothing was hidden.

Going through the process with Vanderbilt Mortgage took a little while. Doing the application was tough stuff for us. They could have done it a bit faster. After they got all the papers ready and we were ready to sign, we dealt with this one representative who had a good personality. If somebody is buying a trailer, I would recommend Vanderbilt.

Communicating with Vanderbilt during the lending process was really good. I live so far away and I had trouble because I didn't have a fax. But every time something came up, they would contact me and ask me. If there was something wrong with the information I sent them, they would help me with it over the phone so I could correct it. However, some of the other people I've talked to weren't exactly sure what was going on. But the person who helped me with it knew. And if she couldn't figure it out, she would put me on hold for a minute and find someone who could help us address it right then and there. Everything went smoothly with the process. Also, the transparency of the lending process was very thorough. They made sure all their ducks are in a row and everything was right before they take the next step further. I would tell others that Vanderbilt is not as fast as the other ones but it's worth it because everything is up to code.

The application and underwriting process for our loan with Vanderbilt took about 6 months, but most of the hold up was because FHA kept losing papers. Vanderbilt was awesome and they were quick to help us get the papers that we needed. They were in contact with us the whole time to let us know how things were progressing. The loan specialist would call and let me know where we were, what was going on, and what we would need. And then she’d call up and let me know that she had gotten what she needed. I'm satisfied with Vanderbilt’s lending process and this is our second loan with them. Everything was smooth and they were transparent. They were very easy to work with and very accommodating. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a mortgage.

I'm completely satisfied with Vanderbilt. Everything was performed as explained by our sales representative. The process was smooth and fast, from the initial application to closing. They were always courteous and professional. I was also impressed with their transparency and honesty. They're gonna do exactly what they say they're gonna do, and they're not gonna do anything that they haven't said. They're reliable and predictable in what they're gonna do and they do exactly what they say they are.

My experience with Vanderbilt Mortgage was really good and the entire process wasn't long at all and was quick. They worked with me on helping me get the deposit that I needed, and getting everything going. They were wonderful in every way. I applied online and went from there. They did a great job. We’ve talked several times with their loan specialist. She helped me out with trying to figure out the deposit situation. And she called me and checked in on things, with how it was going with the home moving along and all that good stuff. That could be improved a little bit, but that’s not her fault. There’s one girl there that was most helpful. She was wonderful. She always sent me texts and updates on everything and she was really good. The process was smooth and easy. I wish the interest rates could be a little bit better, but everything was great.
I would definitely recommend them. They contact you when you call. When you leave a message, they’re easy to get back with you. They work with you on what your needs are.

I put in the request with Vanderbilt back in July and I got something back around September. They were very fast in getting everything in compliance like my debt income ratio. When I got everything that I needed to pay off, they consolidated everything that I had and paid off all of my debts so it'd just be one mortgage that I would have for the house. So, I was really happy. Everything that they’ve done was right on for my situation. It was also fairly easy to communicate with their reps. I texted them who I needed to speak to and if they were in the office, they would pick up. If not, they would call back within an hour or two. They got back once to get a hold of me and they also sent an email about the process that would help me.
Their loan specialist kept me updated, emailed me, and let me know what they were waiting on and everything that they had done. If I had any questions on something that wasn’t done, I called on him and he let me know exactly what it was. And within a day or two, whatever he said was going to be done. He was straightforward with me with the process and what was going on. They covered most of the basic and if they didn't, they would call me right back. And if they forgot something to tell me, they'd tell me right as I got off the phone. So, everything went well and I thank them very for giving me this opportunity to be a first-time homeowner for me, my wife, and daughter. They opened up another chapter in our life and I look forward to being with them for many years. I recommend them to anyone who’s trying to get their self financially stable and a home of their own, instead of paying a rent for the rest of their life.

Vanderbilt Mortgage was great and I closed with them in November. This was my first time lending and whatever I needed, they were calling and talking with me. Whatever they needed, I was there to give it to them. They didn’t ask for too much and it didn’t take long at all to get me approved. When they brought the paperwork back, they told me I was approved. That was just a shocker to me. It was very easy to communicate with the loan specialist too. If anything changed, they sent me a different quote on the prices. If I had any questions, I would call and ask them and they gave me answers. There was just a credit card that I had to pay and I paid them and we were good. I will recommend Vanderbilt to others. If you have your affairs straight, you'll pretty much get approved.

Vanderbilt is a reliable, trustworthy loan agency that clients can count on. My loan specialist kept calling me every week to make sure everything was good and if I didn’t have any questions. Communicating with them was easy and they tried to make me aware of everything. My first application took a couple of weeks to process though it was a couple of months until I signed and closed on the house. I applied for the loan in April of last year, and then I thought I was going to be in the house by July and that didn’t turn out, so I had to reapply for the loan. They gave me another loan, so I'm hopefully trying to move in in a week.

I've been through lending processes before and with Vanderbilt was by far the best experience I've had. They made me feel like I’m a part of the company more or less. They wanted our business just like we wanted theirs, and they made it known. It was very easy to communicate with them. There is constant communication. Any time a phone call was made, the phone call was answered. And that was one of the best things. They communicated through phone and email. No matter what it was, I didn’t have to wait long for an answer. So, I praise them. They would type something up, any kind of discrepancy or whatever that we had, and there was not an issue by any means.
The only thing is there was a time where there were multiple people involved. I would relay information to one person then they would relay it to Vanderbilt. I think somebody got misconstrued. But it was no fault of Vanderbilt at all. Once we started communicating directly with Vanderbilt there was no issues. Everything was handled beautifully and it was very easy. The application and underwriting process took no more than a couple days.

When I got the loan with Vanderbilt Mortgage, the process was pretty brief and as transparent as anybody could be. It took seven calendar days and everything went smoothly. My wife’s a real estate paralegal so it made things a little easier, but it was uneventful as well. They were cooperative and helpful. We called back and forth and communicating with them was very easy. The only difficult part for us was because we were in transition and everything was in storage. They would call us to say they needed our W2’s from last year and it was difficult for me to get. It was a reasonable request though, and it took only that kind of communication for them to tell us what was needed then we would get it and email it to them.

The finance part of Vanderbilt was good. But when I had dealt with the program like several months before I started back again the agent that they have assigned me wasn't good. She wouldn't return any calls and this and that. There was just no correspondence at all so that made me step away from there and tried other things before I came back. A lot of people that I did talk to made a lot of the badness and it was good outweighing the bad so I went back to them and I'm very satisfied. The loan specialist I got the second time did a great job. He was more than ready to try to help me in the best way possible as far what I was trying to do and I could really feel that. He asked the questions and I respond to him. And he figured out what I was trying to do, the right way, and he went from there. I had never done anything like that before so it has been very good.

The whole loan process with Vanderbilt Mortgage took about a month and a half. We had a couple of things that were keeping us from closing sooner because of the paperwork on our end. We were having to come up with deeds and title for the land that my mom owned and that was what held up the process as far as closing out faster. But they did a great job and they did everything they could as far as the getting things done on their end. I always got a text message from their rep, Madison. She was checking up on a weekly basis to see how things were going and that really helped out a lot as far as keeping up with what was going on our end. I was very happy with the way they handled everything.
They were very helpful. Madison was very thorough as far as answering any questions that I had. She made everything very clear as to what needs to be done and how soon it needed to be done. We got great service from Madison and I really appreciate the way that she stayed in touch with us. She was very personable and a very nice lady. It just seems like she was really interested in how things were going for us and not as far as the mortgage process goes. Nevertheless, everything was great. Vanderbilt’s lending process was good and we were well taken care of as far as customer service goes. I have recommended them to a friend.

The application process with Vanderbilt was painless. Everybody was kind and any time I had any questions they go, "Well, we need this, we need this." And it's like, "Well, I can get this for you." They were just wonderful. I tried back on something and they go, "That's not going to work. We're going to have to do a different way." And it's like, "Okay. How do I need to do it?" They worked with me and they really helped me figure out what I was doing and how to get it done right.
If I didn't understand something Ashley was available to answer any questions. And that's so not anything I've ever been used to in my life, having people to offer the help. And she's a smart cookie. She was very good at putting up with me and explaining things that I wasn't sure about and she has good patience also. I loved their process. We were so pleased with the way it turned out we're even going to hang on to it for a while because originally we were just going to immediately go refinance. But because it was as painless as it was and everything worked out as well, we're going to go ahead and keep the loan with them for a while.
