I just got started with Vanderbilt and I haven’t had my first payment yet. I got my house and I’m still waiting for some of my utilities to get installed. I applied at the place where I wanted to get my home from. I applied for a credit there and they told me Vanderbilt approved me. The loan process wasn’t too bad although it was time-consuming. I filled out a lot of paperwork about my work and income. At the same time, I had to meet my uncle’s availability. He was available on days I couldn’t meet and vice versa. But the Vanderbilt reps were very friendly. I like the way they called and talked, seeing if they could help me with anything. They were checking up on me every so often to make sure everything was going well. Vanderbilt is the first company that helped me get my house and start a future so I will recommend them.

We got the home loan pre-approved through Vanderbilt and then we waited to hear back from them. The process took a couple months. We’ve closed now.

My leaser told me about Vanderbilt Mortgage and she put up the application for me. Then Vanderbilt looked into all my taxes, and that’s how I ended up getting a loan from them. It wasn’t that hard to contact them during the whole process. I tried other places but they were pretty hard and I couldn’t work with them. I would definitely recommend Vanderbilt to all the people who are in my situation.

We drove out to Vanderbilt’s location so we stopped by. The lending process was difficult because a lot of people were involved and we had to contact them or they had to contact me. Also, there was the gathering of all the paperwork and there was a lot to process, and it took two months. The only person that treated me well was Cady and she helped me throughout the whole way. But the people that I talked to before her wasn't quite what I was looking for. I've been having issues with Vanderbilt now so I’d pretty much tell my friends to maybe finance through them but go with a different company.

My interactions with the Vanderbilt Mortgage reps were excellent. It was very user-friendly and they walked me through everything without any trouble. I filled out a big stack of paperwork and they ran my credit, and then there were some things that they needed and I got them. The process was fairly simple. A week later, they contacted me saying I was preapproved and then they needed some more stuff, so I got them those.

I had a very good experience working with Vanderbilt Mortgage. Their reps were nice and explained everything. From day one, everybody was trying to do everything they could do. They wanted to see that I got what I really wanted instead of just trying to sell something. I would recommend Vanderbilt to anybody who wants to buy a new trailer.

I went to my bank to set up my auto drafting with Vanderbilt Mortgage and they told me that I have to get Vanderbilt to do it. In the end, I can’t get Vanderbilt to do it. I got home and had to actually go online and fill on the website and then create my account. I tried to get in touch with Vanderbilt yesterday, but it's today that I got in touch with them and I have to go and finish the setting up. Other than that, everything has been fine. It’s easy to speak with the representatives although it’s a little different with quotations being where I'm at. Vanderbilt Mortgage is good company and I have good experience with them.

I was worried that the loan process with Vanderbilt Mortgage took too long. I was living with a friend and he had relatives coming in from out of the country. They weren’t supposed to be there the day before I was supposed to move in to my new house so I was really worried that it wasn’t going to happen and I was apprehensive about the timeframe. Vanderbilt's people were great and bent over backwards to help me.

I filled out an application, talked to one of the loan officers and they got me preapproved. We went through another process of getting approved and it took a little longer because I'm self-employed. After we got all of that paperwork in, that was it. I was preapproved in October and we moved into our house this month. The first loan officer was Matt and the second one that got me approved was Brad. Brad was really good. He always stayed in contact with me and he called me even if it was taking a long time. He helped me with everything and made the process so easy. Everything went smoothly and I'd recommend Vanderbilt.

Working with Vanderbilt Mortgage was a good experience. It was mentioned that they had easy financing. Depending on the credit, they finance with 0% down. The process was easy and simple. I filled out the application and in three days, I had a response. Everything about all the paperwork to get through the closure was written. We started late September and went to closing in November. The only hold-up was making sure we were who we said we were. It wasn’t a lengthy process. In addition, each time I called up to the office, I got the answers that I needed. If they didn’t have an answer for me, they directed it to someone that had the answer. I'd recommend Vanderbilt to someone buying a house. It's a good service.

I had purchased through Vanderbilt Mortgage in the past and paid off a loan with them when my husband and I were very young. And when we were looking to trade in our singlewide mobile home for a doublewide, we were interested in a specific model, and the salesman asked about loan preferences and I said, “Well, we had worked with Vanderbilt before and we'd like to work with them again.” So, they contacted Vanderbilt and initiated the paperwork for us. Vanderbilt contacted us and was the most helpful. They provided information and paperwork that the dealership did not do. They sent us paperwork, called us, checked on us, and worked with us. I called them and reached out to them a couple of times. I love the website too as it's so easy to use and I was really happy and satisfied.
Out of the whole trade-in process and working with the dealership, Vanderbilt and the ease and peace of mind I have working with the company I've worked with in the past and knowing what great customer service they have, was the only reason we're doing what we're doing. Vanderbilt’s reps reached out to me and I returned or answered the call. They had information for me or answered a question that I had called and left a message for them about. Due to my work schedule, I work in an emergency department in 12 to 16 hours shift, and they got back to me immediately, and I liked that. And if I had a question, I can say, “Well, I'm going to be at work. I'll be at home on Monday between 8:00 and 12:00,” and got a call between 8:00 and 12:00. I'm treated with the utmost respect and as a friend. I truly feel that they listen, and that’s something that’s lacking in most banks and loan companies these days.

I was contacted by Vanderbilt and given a request for primary information. Three days later, we were preapproved with the exception of selling our present home to be qualified for the loan. Once we sold our previous home, we were able to close within about 14 days of that sale. Their reps were very easy to get along with, very precise in what they needed and anytime I contacted them, if I did not get them immediately on the phone call, they called back within the hour. If they needed paperwork, they called me or emailed me, and I emailed them the paperwork that they needed. It was pretty much hassle-free compared to other mortgages that we went through. Plus, what we got for what we paid for was reasonable. If you are going to go the route we did, Vanderbilt is the place to get the loan.

We started working with Vanderbilt on a mortgage loan in September. I called them about a mobile home that they repossessed and then later on I decided I didn’t want that one. I wanted to put a new one off the lot the home was on. We’ve bought several houses in the past and the process we had with Vanderbilt was real similar. It was just a good deal of giving them what they need. It was easier than buying a house but the biggest thing is we got to have good credit to start with. And then everything flowed really well. Once we went with the other home, the process took about three weeks. And everybody at Vanderbilt was great. Every step of the way, they were all professional and answered all questions. They treated us very fairly and they got things done in a real timely manner. With our experience, I would highly recommend them.

Vanderbilt’s loan process was easy. I just provided the requested documents and I was approved in 10 days. We had two delays that were not related to the mortgage process. It's just the unavoidable delays such as monkey wrenches that got thrown in that made it a little frustrating. The rep, Amanda, was great in contacting us and keeping us up-to-date on where we were and what documents we needed. She went above and beyond reassuring me and sometimes helping me understand the process. She is one of Vanderbilt’s shining stars. Overall, everything went according to plan.

He was excellent at returning phone calls and was quick with answers when I had questions. He did a great job and left no stones unturned for me.
Vanderbilt’s people had their own set of responsibilities and they worked together and communicated as a team very well. Vanderbilt approved my home loan and gave the best offer. The process involved a lot of paperwork but it didn’t take long to get approved. We started back in March and I did the closing in September and then we didn’t move in until December. However, I never called and got somebody on the phone. I always had to leave a message and always had to wait for a callback. But the reps were full of information and if they didn’t have the information I was looking for, they were quick to respond back to me and give me the information I was trying to get.
I've dealt with so many people at Vanderbilt because at first we had this person and then a couple of months later, I was talking to someone else. My contact seemed to be different every other month. Sometimes I'd leave a message for three different people and it would take me three days to get a response, but that was only once or twice. However, after being asked all kinds of personal questions that are apparently standard for anyone seeking an extension which amounted to me being harassed, the man said they would get back to me on the matter. We needed to upgrade our heating and air conditioning system and had found a program through TVA. Vanderbilt Mortgage had a financing option through TVA, so we decided to go through them. I made the first payment on November 1, 2017, as the due date is the first of each month. For December's payment, I logged into the account and paid it on November 30, 2017--1 day early. I pay all of my bills online, so this is not my first time doing this. I know to make sure you follow all the way through until it is properly submitted. As I said, I had paid the previous month's payment successfully. I had received a confirmation page saying that the payment had been submitted and was being processed. There was money in the bank account, so that was not an issue. On December 21, 2017, I received a notice that my payment was late and they had charged my account a late fee. Knowing that I had paid it, I called the company to have the late payment removed.
The representative acknowledged that she could see my November 30 login. She put me on hold for about 15 minutes to talk with a supervisor. She came back and informed me that "per their policy, they couldn't refund late fees" and that "the burden was on me to contact them to make sure that my payments were credited correctly." What?? I DID CONTACT THE COMPANY AND I PAID THE BILL ON TIME!! In all of years of bill paying online, I have never had this happen. We have NO late payments on our credit report, whatsoever. I am very disgusted with their business practices. They obviously had a glitch or issue on their end that caused them to lose my payment, but I am paying the price for it. How convenient for them! Will be contacting our bank to see if we can get a loan to pay this one off, as I don't want to deal with them any longer. I WOULD HIGHLY ADVISE ANYONE ELSE TO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

We have a unique situation because I'm self-employed and it's not like they could just check with my employer. So, we were calling to find out what was going on and what more they needed from us. Vanderbilt should really be quicker with the whole approval process. It's like when we go to buy a car, we have a decision pretty quickly. It was all done online so I didn't have to do a lot of labor manually. Their rep was very helpful and let me know exactly every piece of paperwork that I needed, the fastest way to submit it and got it done. My husband and I haven’t had a very good experience with Vanderbilt Mortgage. My husband had inherited some land and we need it to be in our name. Clayton Homes was able to get us a loan from Vanderbilt, which was great. We used the land as collateral. We trusted Vanderbilt to let them do it for us and everything was going great. However, these little factors sort of droppin' here and there and these little things we were catching on to which made us feel like we were being taken advantage of since we didn’t know what we were doing. I then called Vanderbilt to ask them if they could extend my payment since I just got moved in on November 10th, so I was living in our apartment the first 10 days of November. The lady that I spoke with was extremely rude to me and we had a very heated conversation.
Vanderbilt did not prorate it for me and the lady demanded that I pay my first house payment on December 1st. The things that she said to me were very unprofessional and it was degrading. She upset me and that wasn’t fair to me and my husband. I dealt with Clayton Homes and Clayton Homes dealt with Vanderbilt wherein they transferred all my information over to Vanderbilt. I sat there for three hours, filling out papers. It was such a long process with Vanderbilt which took not more than three months to complete. I’ll be paying my house to them for the next 20 years, and still, I'm very blessed that they gave us the loan.

I have a friend that manages an RV park and a mobile park next to each other in Roswell. They have brand new and clean mobile homes put out here. And there's a sign that said, “Find me and then just call Vanderbilt.com.” When I went to claim a mobile home, I was given options of different finance companies but I chose Vanderbilt because I've seen their name on one of the mobile homes. Vanderbilt went far and beyond with helping me. I had been approved three years ago for a mobile home with some conditions that I wasn’t able to meet at that time. It really impressed me that they went to that extent to work my account. I chose them again the second time around and I felt like I was prepared to comply with their requests, so everything worked out beautifully.
The loan process was easy because they communicated everything that they wanted via email, which I thought was awesome. Tamie took care most of the stuff that needed to be done. And it kind of prepared me for an hour and a half drive to Tamie and get the paperwork submitted to Vanderbilt. The only thing that I didn’t like, which was really minor, is that I had a credit card that was paid off, however, life goes on and I have warranty credit cards that I use to pay certain bills. And every time they did some re-verifying, there was a charge on it and I have to pay it off. After a while, I told them that I needed them to get on it quickly because I have to pay bills. I like that I have a loan officer and she has some people helping now to verify other information. Anna was one of them and she would contact me and tell me she needs an information and she's working with Tamie to speed up the process. I found it great that it was a tag team effort.
In five days, I was notified that I had been qualified for the month, which was impressive. There was a process of getting all the income tax returns and all the copies of stuff and credit card payments that have been cleared and I had to wait for some of it. So it wasn’t something that Vanderbilt delayed. They followed up with what's needed to be done in a timely manner. There was an instance where Anna needed something, and I emailed it to her right away. And something happened to her and her computer wasn’t able to open that format. Another member I was talking to jumped in and told me that they'd get back to me but she was helping Anna. It was awesome. I recommended Vanderbilt to my neighbor across the street and right now, they are working on her application for a mobile home.

At the time we were purchasing the home, Vanderbilt was our best choice. During the application, I picked out a home and went to see if I could get approved for it, which I did. The process was easy and they were very friendly with trying to get me approved and working with me. It was just that my credit score was at a certain limit and it forced me to put a lot of money down. The lady loan officer went over everything about the loan and let me know what’s going on, and if I had any questions, I let her know. Working with them was an excellent choice as far as the loan company. They’re forgiving to people and they were very helpful, and I had a great experience. Vanderbilt is another option of going when you're having a low credit score.

Vanderbilt's representatives were good and informative. They answered any questions that I had and let me know a few things that I didn't know. I was told a lot of people use them and I figured I would see what it was all about. Once I submitted my application, they called me after three days. They told me my application was approved. Then, when I decided I wanted the home, I only had to send in a couple of item. The supervisor that I've talked to has been really been nice. I can get in touch with them if I need them.

I was tentatively approved for a $50,000 loan by Vanderbilt. Searched and searched and could not find anything in that price range that was not a piece of junk or located in a crime ridden one horse town. I got one phone call after another wanting to know if I had found something. Then I get a letter stating all the bills that I had to pay off before they would make the loan.
If I had money enough not to need credit for a car or household goods I certainly would not have stooped to buying a home from Vanderbilt. I am certainly relieved after receiving the letter as I was beginning to get more and more disgusted with them. I think they tell everyone that they have been conditionally approved for a loan and then sucker them into providing gobs of paperwork that just wastes your time and energy. I have asked them to remove my name and my account from their records. I do not recommend using Vanderbilt for any purchase of any kind. Beware of them... They are scoundrels....

I did everything over the phone until I went to sign the paperwork because it was already a home, it was just in someone else’s name. But the people at Vanderbilt Mortgage were informative and they got everything done in a timely manner. That’s a big thing for me since I don’t have a lot of time. Everyone that I worked with was professional and everything was efficient. They did everything they could do as quickly as possible except for the title search which they can’t control, but I would have liked to know what was the holdup and that was what we were waiting for.
A couple of times I had to call to check and I didn’t get an update. It wasn’t the gentleman’s fault but he had let me know and he apologized, and he said he thought he had sent me an email but he didn’t. They made the information available to me and gave me the choice whether I want to move forward or not. Everything else is fine and I will recommend them. Our experience with Vanderbilt Mortgage was extraordinary. The home loan process was well done and the people were really professional. The representatives at Vanderbilt were awesome and they went well out of their way to help me out. They explained every process to me and when I explained to them my situation with my finances, they did everything they could to keep me within a certain budget. If I had any questions, they were really ready to answer them and if there was something I don't understand, they broke it into detail for me. It really restored my faith and I was really happy to deal with them.
Everything went smooth sailing. They called me every other day to make sure everything was going okay with what we were doing. I was okay with everything and there were no hassles. The main thing that I'd like to stress that they did for me really well was when it came up to the payment process, they asked me how much I could afford to spend each month and they understood, with me being older aged and still working, and with social security coming in. They were willing to work within my budget range and keep my payments down, so I can still afford to live. It was a simple process, and the overall experience was really impressive.

So I was confused the whole time and I didn't know if I was getting it or if I was already approved. A higher up from Vanderbilt Mortgage was supposed to call me back, but they never did. I put $13,000 down on this place and it's not like they had to give me a huge loan in the first place. I've been to a lawyer trying to figure out if there's any way I can get out of my loan. Vanderbilt Mortgage wanted so much paperwork and it was terrible. It was unbelievable and our credit rating was 816. Every day we got a call that we needed another piece of paperwork and we would send it. The whole thing took four months. They just wanted everything and then they started all over again. They wanted our driver's license, social security, pay stubs, and taxes. We've sent them all that stuff.
We had two outstanding bills. One was a Macy's charge that I never used. I had moved into an apartment and I bought $60 worth of drapes. They wanted the $60 paid off. It was paid off, then they wanted proof that it was paid off. Also, my husband had an insurance policy through JCPenney. They wanted him to pay it off. He said told them he can't pay it off because it's a monthly charge. We don't even use JCPenney, but that's the company that's used for the life insurance and they wanted proof. They said this is what it takes. However, it doesn't take this much. I've bought two houses and never went through this much. Plus, we dealt with five or six different people and when you talked to one, the others didn't know anything about it. It was just a runaround.
