They answered all our questions. They took the ball and ran with it and got everything switched over. We did have a little bit of a problem but it was resolved. It took a little while for them to get the money from our original IRA into the gold-backed IRA. There was something to do with the fax machine messing up. But Hartford Gold has been very good about returning phone calls. We just caught them at a bad time. They were in the process of physically moving their office. So that put a delay in getting the stipend set up. But the thing with this is everyday average people like ourselves depend on their swift action and it hasn't been that swift.

As children we grow up being familiar with coins and dollars even being left under our pillows by the tooth fairy. However, when faced with precious metals most of us are very unfamiliar. We were very thankful for Daniel ** and his team as they led us through a very comprehensive process and not only anticipated our basic questions but also fielded our left field questions with cordiality and condor. Great folks, can't say enough how we appreciated them and look forward to continuing to work with them.

The people I worked with at American Hartford Gold were A1. We became friends and they took care of me. I'm happy with their guidance. I had one situation where the people that had my money took forever to release it and they helped me out on that.

The buying process with American Hartford was wonderful and I would tell a friend that I would go through them and deal with them. The reps were very nice and knowledgeable about their products.

The rep answered everything I asked about gold, silver and one-ounce bars. He was very dynamic. When I called, I wanted Canadian Maple Leaf. He tried to steer me away from one-ounce bars. I like him but I'm a little suspicious and I've never heard back from him since I bought. They could call me back and ask if I'm ready for more. I had asked the question, "How do you determine what you're charging me?" The rep said they compare everything on the internet. American Hartford Gold has a bunch of highly trained salespeople that try to maximize the selling price because they're on a commission. My goal now is to find someone that will sell me Silver Eagles at a better price because I feel I paid too much.

The process with American Hartford Gold was fast and easy. The representatives were very helpful in explaining everything and breaking everything down for me. They gave me a few different options and when I explained my situation, they recommended what they thought would fit me best right then. I did some where I decided to bring it home and I invested some where I decided to leave it there and let it grow. I'm glad I chose American Hartford Gold. I wish I invested a little more into gold instead of silver though.

When I called American Hartford Gold, the guy that helped me was very good, and I just went with them. It took them a little longer to get what gold that they were looking for into my Equity Trust. But everybody was helpful and very knowledgeable.

I had a good purchasing experience with American Hartford. The guy called back and he answered all my questions. I called him a couple of times and he also called me a couple of times, too. They were very nice people.

American Hartford did great and I would recommend it. The only thing that I wasn't explained to at first was the money that I put in was not the money that would be available if I was to draw it out a month later. If I bought 50,000 worth of gold pieces and I decided to cash it in, I wouldn't get the $50,000 value of it. My overall experience was good, but I was disappointed that when I looked online on what the value of what I have is, it's less than what I put in, and I just put it in a month ago.

When my purchase was shipped, I was constantly updated on where my shipping is and when it would be there.

They explained everything pretty good -- what products they provided and what it could mean. Mine was an IRA account and they talked about the benefits of storing it elsewhere versus storing it in my home. A lot of my concerns was because it was an IRA that has not been taxed yet and that was all explained to me. I got Chris, who has been with the company a long time, and he was very helpful. I got gold and silver and then later on, I turned around and got some platinum.

I love the experience with American Hartford so far. I was impressed with the easiness of Sean, the person I worked with. Everything was so calm and we must have asked the same questions 50 times. But it didn't matter. He wasn't mad and just calmly explained. Everything was perfect. He explained the stock market, and how that worked, and how the gold and silver worked with that route.

The rep from American Hartford Gold and I discussed how to tell what the cost of things are and to determine their value as well as trying to understand things for tax purposes. I started with 50,000 because I wanted to test the waters before I did a larger investment afterwards. Then we're trying to do a balanced portfolio based on the amounts that I had in. I did gold, silver and platinum but I want everything to be in actual coins or precious metals as opposed to some of the other companies that just wanted to sell so many stocks in it. I didn't want to take ownership of it because I didn't want the money in my house. I wanted it to be at a secure facility. I own some coins myself that I purchased from other locations, plus some bonuses from American Hartford Gold. But I didn't want to be taxed on it as a withdrawal, because then that would increase my income level for the year.

Both the silver and gold that we purchased from American Hartford is supposed to be in a depository. But we didn’t receive most of the silver that we were promised and signed for in a contract. They're not very good about when they say they're going to call you or talk to you. You can get ahold of them and they'll promise to get back to you but they never do.

We paid more than we wanted to but the service from American Hartford Gold was good. Their rep was very informative and gave us more of an education. He told us the recommendations of what to be put into, whether bullion or coins, and we're diversified pretty well. He ultimately let me make the decision, but he gave his opinion. I would recommend them and I don't have any regrets with my decision of going with them.

The gentleman I spoke to at American Hartford was very good and kind and helped me transfer my assets from my company account to Hartford Gold. It was transferred a few days later, but the paper was already completed in 24 hours. I didn't have a lot of knowledge about fees and I wasn't as informed as I am now. I was a teeny bit bound by the amounts that I was transferring. So, when the rep explained it to me towards the end, we got to the point where he told me that there were fees involved. Having found out more, I would have gone with a company that does not have that many fees. I would have gone with either taking the gold in my possession, but there was a tax implication with that. I was just transferring an IRA from my Vanguard account to Hartford Gold. So, I didn't wanna include another $1,000 in taking physical possession of the gold.

I felt more comfortable with the person I was dealing with at American Hartford. I asked them and the other companies that I researched as well to go over the contract with me, and none of them, including American Hartford, didn't know their own contract very well. I went into it wanting to purchase silver. I didn't purchase any gold. The person I dealt with didn't try to sway me to purchase any gold. I solely accepted the recommendations provided by the representative. They're in an IRA. I'm not at the retirement age, so I could not hold them. I would've preferred to.

A representative from American Hartford made the call to Charles Schwab, and it was a three-way call among us. I would consider purchasing more.

I wanted to move my 401(k) out of the stock market. I gave American Hartford Gold the name of the company that I was with, and they handled it. I knew what they were doing, and I got some information and read that. I had spoken to an agent so I knew how the whole process would go. So, when I was ready to do it, all I did was call the number and give them the information. And my agent from the stocks and bonds company wasn’t a happy camper. They ended up calling the main office because we weren't getting the contact we needed with my stocks person. But it didn't take long because they got straight through to the corporate office, and they were able to do all the transactions. The paperwork came on the internet, I signed it and sent it back.

American Hartford Gold has a small incentive. If you open an account, they would send you some silver. But that was minimal. Also, their reps were thorough. They had good follow-up. But what I purchased wasn't available at once. But they explained. So, they would send half of the order to the vault and send the other half at a different time. It was a couple of weeks difference. But everything at the end was moved as it should have been.

American Hartford Gold's main trader that I first got in touch with brought in an older guy that I talked mainly to. He and I got along well. He was an older guy. It sounded like he was five years younger than me, which would put him in the 65 area. He seemed more experienced than the first guy who didn't seem interested in talking to me. And he said, “Whenever I sell it, the federal government didn't have to become involved.” So, that was a big point to me.

The process with American Hartford was a little rocky in the beginning. I had a point person, who was fantastic to talk to when I could get him on the phone but if I tried to call his extension back, it just went to a busy tone and that didn't change the entire experience. They could call me back or I had to call the main line and get transferred in to him. The shipping took some time as well. I received my second order first and then, my first order took quite a few months to come in. They just kept sending emails saying it's been delayed and they’re working on it and that they’ll notify me when it ships.

Our broker told us that American Hartford will guarantee buyback. He was also very knowledgeable about breaking down percentages of which and what to get and how much and as a hedge against the ongoing inflation. So, there were only two downsides as far as we were concerned. One of them was they gave us some high-end coins that were based on the artistic flair of the coin rather than the price of the gold. That was what my wife, Linda, wanted. Then, when we were closing the deal and we were talking to the finance and shipping person, she told us that they do not guarantee buyback. So, that put my wife on edge and it took us about a month before we heard back from them. By then, Linda was very nervous and wanted to cancel the deal.

I’m writing this review sometime after the fact so my recollection is somewhat hazy. Cameron is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions in a professional manner. The rep did all right. I wanted 8.75 ounces. I wanted to keep it under 8.8. He explained if you get more than that, it gets reported to the IRS, and then you've got your own tax laws regarding that. But I didn't have that much. I got some gold and some silver. He explained about numismatic, that they can't get something that doesn't get reported and they can't touch you on that.

At first, I was a bit skeptical, not so much because of the company itself, but more for personal reasons. I've never dropped so much money at once in one lump sum and got it all delivered. The representative from American Hartford Gold was what really gave me assurance, and he really earned my trust. That played a big role in me just so willingly able to just dump it all at once on him. He was always there when I needed it, and he provided recommendations on which were, in his opinion, the best assets to buy based on what my goals were. I'm fairly new, so there's quite a bit that I don't know as far as value goes in terms of what to buy, short-term and long-term.

American Hartford Gold looked good to me. The rep explained everything. He was very helpful. He said he would call, and he called when he was supposed to call, and talked me through the process. It was quick and painless. If you are looking to change over to leave the paper product and have something physical in your hand, I would highly recommend American Hartford Gold.

Christine kept hanging in there and kept following up on everything that should have been done but wasn't getting done. We finally got ahold of this one guy, and he knew what was going on. He straightened the whole thing out and got it done in a hurry. American Hartford Gold pretty much had an idea of what I wanted to do, and they were on board with it.

I wasn't expecting bullion. To me, it seemed like there was no emphasis on bullion versus certified coins. Either I didn't catch on, I didn't hear it, or the salesperson never really explained the difference between the two. I don't regret buying it but I'll be a little more careful next time who I would talk to and how to express myself a little better. Other than that, it's still worth a lot of money and I'm very happy with my purchase.

The team from American Hartford was very informative and transparent. They did a good job educating me and I'd recommend them.

I had a lot of trouble with getting the checks correct. We still aren't finished, and we've been working on this since December. We thought we had everything correct in January. The check came to the wrong thing, so we sent that back. It came back again, I sent it out again. This time, UPS lost it. Then we had to reissue for a third time. It's been a week now and we still haven't gotten the transaction completed. But I don't think it's their fault. I think it's the whole process that has a problem.

American Hartford's customer service was very straightforward. I knew what I wanted and they offered me coins. So far, so good. The only exception is with the last purchase where it's just taking too long to get the coins. I got a few emails about updating the shipping time for the second shipment. I sent an email back and did not get any response. I'm just waiting for the shipment. I know it takes time but I thought if they send the same email three times, I better check.

The services with American Hartford Gold are very good. I'm glad I went ahead and did it. I got them on the 17th of last month and I texted Daniel and Thomas that I had received the order. Daniel answered my text to say he was glad to hear that but I didn't hear anything from Thomas at all until last week. Otherwise, it's alright. It was very informative talking with Thomas. He explained everything that he was doing and I appreciated that.

American Hartford took the time to really go through the different levels of gold and silver. They had a top level and then a middle. Everything that they told me lined up, which was good. I spoke with their sales team account executive. His team sent me paperwork to do and helped me with it. They're knowledgeable but they explain things as you ask them. I don't know about gold IRAs so I depended on them to explain things to me. I needed to ask them to explain things more than they were upfront. I would have appreciated them explaining things more in detail in layman's terms. Also, I would have felt better if I sat at a table and looked them face to face instead of everything being done over the phone. Additionally, it's a slow process. It's been going on two months that I don't have any physical asset that I'm supposed to get in my possession yet. Other than that, they work their profession and they did right by me so far. Every time I call, they're quick at returning my calls. They answer my questions whenever I asked any. I'm satisfied.

Precious metals are a thing now that will work in the future as a foundation for currency. One of my Marines told me, "Watch what you're doing with your money." From there, I started doing some research. I up things that have worked in the past, which were silver and gold and I got a little bit of that. American Hartford's sales team has been stellar. I'm just waiting on the shipment. Everything, so far, is on track. I'm trying to get my little brother to kind of do the same thing. I also told one of my boys in the corps and he's also trying to do that thing.

The rep was cordial and knowledgeable. I agreed with the guidance they gave. My main concern is their ability to deliver the products they are selling in a timely manner. That's a challenge for them. Part of it is working with retirement vehicles when you have to switch vehicles. I went from my 401k with my employer to the vehicle that they offer which is an IRA. That takes time. Once that transaction and things took place, in an attempt to make how long it might take to actually get the physical delivery of the metals more palatable, they said they would lock in the price that day. If the price goes up, you get to enjoy the games that happen before your medals get delivered. If the price goes down, they'll let you buy at that lower price that it went down to. It's a win-win on the consumer side. But my metals still have not been delivered to the equity trust account and it has been a month.
