I contacted American Hartford Gold to purchase gold and silver assets to add to my portfolio. I initially spoke with Ben **, who was extremely helpful in determining what services AHG could provide and who best to direct me to so I could achieve my goals. Ben connected me with Gerard **, who provided a wealth of information and guidance concerning the products available. Gerard also asked questions to determine my goals and reasoning for purchasing precious metals. Additionally, he explained the difference between the three asset classes of precious metals and the pros and cons of owning each.

Outstanding! From first contact via phone to the end of the process of transferring a traditional IRA into a Gold IRA, everyone was fantastic. It started with a call from Adam who introduced me to John ** (Senior Director) who was my consultant. Only after a few minutes I completely felt at ease with John. He took his time to explain the transaction process and what steps we would need to go through to convert my USAA traditional IRA into a Gold IRA. In 2022 I rolled $50K from my 401K to Hartford Gold (AHG). It is next to impossible to get the market value from AHG and when I finally managed to get it, they told me that my portfolio is now worth only $35K - after a year of growth for precious metals. I feel robbed and I will report them to the Consumer Protection Bureau. I decided to cut my losses and roll everything that is left back to my 401K. I will give AHG a wide berth in the future and will never, ever do business with them again.

My order for gold and silver bullion is dated 11/1/2024. I told Gerard, my AHG representative, that I would be out of town and concerned that delivery might be attempted during that time. I used FedEx Delivery Manager to try to reschedule, but FedEx brought the bullion to my home anyway. They then sent it back to Torrance, California, where it has been since 12/10. Gerard is not returning my calls, his "executive assistant" is now not calling me back, and a promised email from "client services" was never sent.

Opened account easily, spread was a little higher than I expected, but within reason. Had some minor problems with getting the bonus silver & was beginning to get perturbed until Lisa ** got involved, after that everything went great. Lisa 1.5 of these stars are because of you. I was new to investing in precious metals and wish I had done more research. I transferred $100k from my stock IRA account to American Hartford Gold to diversify my investments. Gold was at $1,700/oz at the time. Gold is now at $2,500/oz and I am still sitting at a large loss. Essentially, they sold me a bunch of 1/4 oz. gold coins for ~$550 each. I later found that those coins sell for ~$250 at the large gold dealers like APMEX.

Not happy at all with my experience. Not giving me answers and leaving me hanging. Very stressful and I wish I would have never dealt with this company. I'm trying to retire and I have no idea where my metals are or if I'll even receive them. Seems like one big scam.

I had no idea about the added collector values of types of minted coins, and other items. I must put out a special THANKS to Tyler who took a lot of time explaining so many things to me over the phone. A great person, who treated me with RESPECT. The man must be a great value to your company. The money transfer went extremely well. I am happy to see today part of the total shipment is now on the way here. I had been thinking about buying gold a month or so ago, when I seen Bill O'Riley on First TV, wrote down your place to check on things. Was well worth it. I see more information about several major countries are now banding together to get the US DOLLAR dropped from the world's major currency. With a gold backed digital currency. Was led to believe basic cost of metals was 5% over spot price and told the sales person I was willing to transfer for 5% hit to the IRA. Then AFTER we transferred IRA to American Hartford were we then surprised with a) 5% is the minimum "spread" and that can go up to 20%, and b) the "spread" is NOT versus spot price but versus some arbitrary price that AHG determines, which was at least 15% over spot price. The actual cost ended up being 25%, i.e. the IRA suffered an immediate 25% loss in value, not the expected 5% loss. That's what I get for not investigating AHG vs other options.

Since first time in Gold investing They helped straighten out all the mistakes I made. They also explained How to invest and track the investment. I rolled my 401K of about $19,000. into gold through AHG. NOT ONCE did they tell me the actual dollar amount they were going to charge me to buy gold from them to convert to an IRA. All they were concerned about was making sure I signed the docusign. There is no verbal discussion about the large amount of money they are about to charge you!... If you don't read it carefully it looks like that if you want to sell your gold back to them you will pay a fee. NO this is your purchase fee A LARGE FEE of 35% on coins and 20% on bullion. There should be a dollar amount disclosed on the docusign page that shows the actual dollar fee you're being charged. Just like on real estate doc's.... I have no invoicing telling me their fee, only the amount I gave them in cash. Then when I got my Equity Trust statement all it shows is my account balance of about $12500. Spot price.

Steve was extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable. He was never overbearing or short in his responses. He was concise and direct in responses without sounding like he was talking down to me. I am a first-time gold IRA investor and as a "recommendation" from a Bill O'Reilly advertisement and finding favorable "customer" reviews, I unfortunately chose Hartford. Being new to this form of investing, as most people are, I asked basic questions about the process and pricing, etc. It was only through accessing my account through a 3rd party Trust company, post-purchase, that I realized a nearly 35% SPREAD was charged, leaving my "investment" $10,000 LESS that my original investment.

I opened a "gold ira" with American Hartford Gold with 40K that I transferred from a traditional IRA in June 2023. My initial quarterly statement from MyEquity, the institution that actually holds the gold, showed my deposit of 40K. However, the very next statement showed an account value of 30K! I called MyEquity and got gobbledygook about "melt price" vs "numistic price" but that did not account for a 25% drop in value in 3 months. I next called AHG and got the same well rehearsed gobbledygook. But after persisting I finally heard a quick reference in passing about their "cash to precious metal fee". Bingo! What they disguise during your initial consultation and then bury in all of the paperwork you sign is that they will take a HUGE chunk of your money to "convert" your money in to gold! When I asked for an accounting of this fee I was given another quick and fuzzy answer about "fees all along the supply chain".

This was my first experience buying any precious metals. Mike ** was always very patient and informative, explaining the types of precious metals as well as the process to buy. I did ask many questions. He was always comfortable to make sure that I understood his answers. He made me feel at ease about this process and resulting purchase.

I was confused, but I checked again and saw that it was two. These are minor things that I had a problem with, but overall, I had a good experience with American Harford Gold.

I haven't received all my shipment yet, but I did receive some of it. But I am very happy. He told me that there were different ways that I could do this. All I wanted to do is buy gold. But he shared with me about spreading it out between gold, silver, and platinum. It's cool because if gold goes down, one of the other ones or both go up, and vice versa. So it keeps everything stable and I like that approach. My experience is people go to the bank to withdraw money, and they withdraw the money. With American Hartford Gold, I put in a request to withdraw the money, and it took a month and a half for the transfer to happen. I didn't comprehend that it takes that long.

It was pretty awesome when I first reached out to American Hartford. They were really good at answering questions, even after the sale. Something didn't sound quite right to me so I called them up and they were happy to answer it and take care of my questions. My keyword for them would be verifiable. I was gonna spend money and I wanted to know for sure that I could trust people talking to me. The one thing that almost kept me from doing business with them was instead of getting the free informational guide that I was expecting, I got a phone call, which really irritated me. I almost didn't call them back. I still have not received the free informational guide, although I received my coins right on time. I’d recommend American Hartford to others if they were asking where to go to buy coins.

I figured I needed to change some of my things around. I came across American Hartford Gold and I contacted them in September. We started to do something. They said the process would be a simple thing, which up to a point, it was. The information I received was an email saying Equity got the paperwork and that they would be contacting me if they needed more information within a few days. I was initially told not to worry and that they were gonna set up a number or a sign-in for me. I didn't know when I was supposed to get that sign-in and they weren't too sure of that. I called American Hartford and had somebody help me out. I signed up, initially, to transfer from IRA. Then I transferred my 401 recently. Steve worked with me for both accounts. I've been recommending them and I recommend Steve, above all. He's very genuine. However, I haven't gotten confirmation whether that's been transferred yet and it's been a couple of weeks. I've dealt with some ladies and sometimes, they're not very clear to understand. I have difficulty comprehending or I ask them to speak louder. As a customer, you wanna feel the person acknowledging you or you want that feedback to know that they're as enthusiastic about the transition that you're trying to do. But it's monotone and very low-key. It almost feels like you're bothering them because they wanna just finish off the day.

The rep gave us an idea of the process of purchasing gold and how much we would receive for the amount we wanted to buy. They spent a lot of time with us on the benefits of owning gold. They were very upfront.

I was surprised how much my account dropped in value due to the spread between spot and bullion coin value. I am glad to have gold in case the system fails. I did not really understand the difference at time of purchase. My initial feeling when I reviewed my account with equity trust was holy cow. I only have 55000 of my 100000. Dealer explained that was because equity values at spot and Hartford values at coin prices.

We've got a small amount we're doing initially to test the waters. It's a good idea to diversify and have something concrete rather than backed by currency and other things that I don't think are wise right now. We haven't received our metals yet but it was gonna be within so many days, and we're still within that window. I'm just surprised it takes that long to get it together and send it out.

A lot of times, you get sales people on the line and they wanna pressure you into it, but he said upfront that there was no pressure. If I wanted more information, he was there to answer my questions. He sent me several promotional videos to discuss the benefits. I would like to commend Wally for his demeanor. I was very pleased overall with the performance.

However, the receipt of goods was slow, but that was beyond their control.
