My wife and I decided to apply for a care credit card for in case one of us wanted elective surgery or one of our pets were hurt and needed immediate help and we didn't have the funds. It could come in handy. Well we used it and within 4 months we called to get a pay off amount so we could send the money to pay the account off to a zero balance. We were told the amount and we sent it in. A month later we received a bill for the interest for the few days that it took for the money to get to them. Really??? I called them and raised cain. They said that is the interest by the day and I got billed $12.67 for the three days it took to get the payment to them. Then of course they didn't send the bill till the following month. So there you have another 27 days of interest at 24.99% for the $12.67. When I got off the phone I got my satisfaction and they took off all the charges and my bill was zeroed out. Needless to say we well never use this account again and the card was shredded.

This card is very deceptive. I initially applied because one of my dogs was very sick and needed treatment. Care Credit was the only way I could afford it. This place has financially raped me. They advertise no interest for specified time but if you are late on a payment (even by a minute) that no longer applies and interest is applied to the whole balance. The interest rate is laughable. I do not see how this company can provide an option for payment to those in need. I also noticed some account security charge on my account each month. When I called them they said it was something to help pay off the balance if I lost my job or became unable to pay. I told them I did not want this on the card and was told I had to give them permission to be enrolled in the 'program'. I would of never of given them permission for this because it is an obvious scam. Look at their history of class action lawsuits. They are changing their name to Synchrony Bank. I have to wonder if this name change is due to the negative name and they have made for themselves and the history of lawsuits. Pathetic company. A high-interest regular credit card still would have a lower interest rate. I urge you.... do not apply for this card.

I saw went to La Cumber Dental Office to have a bridge and five veneers placed. The dentist said HE would not have to grind my teeth down for the veneers. The only reason I had veneers was to match the bridge. I was provided with Care Credit. The cost of $10,500. The ONLY work the dentist performed in two appointments of 4 1/2 each was to give me the numbing injections. A dental assistant with no extra certificate attached to her license ground my front teeth to nubs and did ALL of the dental work including placement of the bridge and veneers. I filed a dispute with GE / Care credit. They denied my claim and said It is a service guarantee issue and they are merely the creditor and the issue is between me and the provider. They closed the dispute. I responded to them that they have a responsibility to make sure the providers perform the services they promise by a licensed dentist as required by law.

I opened a Care Credit account for my step dad. He needed dental work but didn't have the money. So I open up an account and I was charged $1900. I paid no interest on the card and all I had to do was pay $110 a month. Everything went great. No hassles, no catch just paid back what you've borrowed, which is how it should be. I will still keep this card just in case of another dental emergency. It's a good card to have.

We had taken out a $6K loan to have some dental work done. We immediately paid off $4K of this (within 3 days of the procedure), and I just received my monthly statement/bill in the mail. They showed that we had paid off the $4K, but were still charging us the $250/month payment, that would pay off the original $6K in 24 months. The reason we paid so much upfront was because we wanted a lower monthly payment and had to pay for the procedure upfront (we had to wait for the $4K to come in from another source, and it was after the payment deadline for the procedure).
We thought this would put our payments around $83/month, which we budgeted for, and were fine with. I called to get CareCredit to change this monthly amount accordingly, and they would not budge, even after 25 minutes of explaining to a Supervisor that we could not afford $250/monthly payments, so now we have to put the payments on another credit card and then pay that credit card off. You would think that a company called "Care"Credit would want to work WITH their customers and not AGAINST them.
We will not use the line of credit we have with CareCredit again, I will discourage my friends and family from using them, and instead encourage them to take out a traditional loan, as we are highly disappointed with our experience with them. If customers are ahead of their payment schedule, GE CareCredit does not care, nor will they adjust payments accordingly, or allow us to defer those payments, so paying ahead of time, and more than is expected, does not help you out with this company. There are simply too many other reasonable options to use this company that will not do anything to assist with account holders.

I scheduled to pay off my balance 2 months earlier than promotional purchase expiration date for 200$ each month, but they were charging me for 35$/MONTH so when I realized I had 135$ late fees in my account. Customer service explanation was because I scheduled every 10th of month instead of every 9th!!! What's the promotional expiration date is for while they charge monthly?!!! THIS IS UNFAIR!!!!!

Exactly one year ago, my wife was suffering with dental problems, which was causing her a great deal of pain. We were scheduled to go on vacation. She called a dentist. On arrival she presented her Cigna Dental card. We didn't know and were not advised this dentist was not a preferred dentist. Procedures were performed regardless. After several procedures (some of which were questionable), the clerk presented her with a form for Carecredit, which she signed, also while in a state of duress. This gave us no time to question the procedures and the cost, which we thought were exorbitant; $11,000 was placed with Carecredit, and the dentist received his money. It has been brought to my attention that a ruling by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has ordered Carecredit to pay back $34m in restitution. I called Carecredit this morning, as my balloon payment is due, and was told that they will add $2,600.00 if I don't pay $7,000.00 by the due date, August 3rd. Can Carecredit still charge me 26% even after this ruling?

Used Care Credit the end of April, never received a bill for May and when I realized this, I immediately got online to make a payment. It was one day late so there was a late fee. Set up for email statements. Paid the next month on time with no issues. Pay July's payment which was due the 16th on July 3rd. Just get an email that says I am past due and that my payment was processed on 7/3 and 7/15 and returned. Nothing has hit my account as I have no bounced fees. There was more than enough money in my account on the 3rd to cover my payment. Both payments in May and June processed correctly so I know the bank account number on file is correct. It is Saturday so I can't call Care Credit but am heading to my Credit Union as soon as they open to see if they can give me any information.

My Dentist recommended Care Credit to in 2009. I had automatic payments withdrawn from my account for nearly 2 years to pay off dental work. I lost my job and after 3 months of not being able to make payments, my account was sent to an attorney that call and harassed me for months. They tried to file a lawsuit and judgment against and the courts kicked it out. Now, 2 years the same law firm has filed against with claims that they have served me court orders and I never replied. This is a lie and scam. I could have files a harassment suit back against the law firm with amount of threats they were leaving with me and my family.

GE CareCredit card should be used only as a last resort. Their interest rate of 26.9% borders on usury. Their ads and commercials are very appealing and it is easy to be lured into their hype. If you want interest-free promotional financing you must charge a certain amount for it to take effect. It's best to contact GE CareCredit to find out the amount. You would think that GE CareCredit would give more favorable rates for their customers, who are mostly using it to pay for some health or veterinary issue. With their high interest rate you're better off using a credit card even if it's close to being maxed out.

I applied for a CareCredit card as I had to have a root canal and a crown and have no health insurance. I was approved for $2100.00 with no interest for 18 months. I had the procedure on 03/15/14. I thought for sure I would receive a bill in April or maybe May. So I called and they said no that my first bill would be in June and my first payment was due July 6, 2014. Well I have credit alert on my credit and I get a email that I have a negative against my credit. I look into and you guessed it. It is with CareCredit. I called and they said that my first payment wasn't due till July but that they had run my credit card for $2200.00 not the $2100.00 that I was approved for. So I disputed it and I get a letter saying they are going to uphold the negative against me. I will be paying this off as fast as I can and never use this for anything else. And if I can't afford to have dentist work, then I won't get it done. So if you can at all help it, don't use them or any GE Capital product at all.

When I called she told me that I put in the wrong account or bank number. Clearly that's a lie since I have had NO ISSUES for over 9 months now. I even looked at my Chase account and the payment was withdrawn from my checking without any issues. Looking online it seems like I'm not the only one who is having issues with this. I have had a care credit card for over a year. I have always paid my bill on time using the online payment center and never had a problem. Starting a few months ago, I would go to log in and it would lock me out of my account even if my password was correct. I would have to call to make a payment. First of all, their automated system is ridiculous. It takes forever to get through to an actual person. I would go through the whole menu and even when I would say, "I would like to speak to a representative" it would say, "we understand you would like to speak to a representative but first we would like to know why". Then when I would say why it would send me to the end of the menu and hang up on me. I would have to call back 3-4 times before I actually got through to a person. I have to do this every month to pay.
The representatives have all been really friendly and they have all waived the $10 fee for paying over the phone (which is outrageous anyway) because it wasn't my fault. Each month the representative told me that they are having trouble with their online payment system because of updates on Firefox/internet explorer/chrome's end of things. It has been at least four months. Why has this not been corrected yet? I have a payment due today and I went to log in to pay it and it locked me out again. I can't call the customer service hotline to make a payment this time because it's Sunday. What kind of customer service company isn't open on Sunday? I better not get hit with a late fee. I cannot wait until this card is paid off so I can get rid of this account. I would not recommend care credit to anyone!!

I was told by Aspen Dental I could apply for care credit and pay some money over time. If I paid in 6 months there would be no interest charged. I paid this off in 3 months and they said I was late 2 months. They charged me $27.00 for each month so it cost $54.00 more than I originally charged. I also never got an invoice and though I tried to get on the website numerous times, it said I gave wrong acct number. So what they didn't charge me in interest they charged me in late fees. I paid $854 in 3 months, the total bill plus the extra $54 they charged me. Don't use them.

Now I am told if I wanted all my payment to go for all 4 different charges I would have to call every month and tell them. Otherwise they would only put it on 2 and later I would be charged late interest charges on the other charges. That if I make my payment early (before the 6th) it would not count for that month and I would be charged a late charge as well and they did. This is my 5th call to try and get information on how to get my charges paid. I did finally get most of the late charges reversed after 4 calls and a very angry lady on the phone. This has been the most confusing mess I've ever experience with a credit card company. I applied for a Care Credit Card from GE Money Bank in 2007 in the amount of $1000.00. My purpose was to have the Invisalign braces put on to correct some orthodontic problems. The dentist informed me I needed to have some deep cleaning done beforehand so I had one procedure done and paid the dental office $112.00 on a $420.00 bill. They also used my Care Credit card.
About 2 weeks, the dental office sent me a check for the dental bill with my name on it and GE Money Bank. Here is where my trouble began. I put my account number from the Care Credit Card on the check and sent it to GE Money Bank. I did not get a bill from them until about 2 months later in an amount over $600. I only used the Care Credit card once. From that day to this, no one has been able to find the check I sent them. I immediately called them to inform them that the amount on the bill was incorrect but the customer service personnel was so rude and unhelpful. They told me if there was any mistake made, it was from the dental office.
I have talked to the dental office on several occasions and they assured me the original bill for $420 was correct. I told them I would not pay them anything until we could get this matter settled. During a time when the bill had gotten to about $700.00, I was still trying to work out a solution with a very rude customer service representative who told me, "Well, now your bill is $1000.00." I told her she could not do that and she said yes she could. I told her I would not pay that because I did not owe $1000.00.
I have tried to work this out on several occasions with GE Money Bank but because of the astronomical interest rates, I felt like I was trying to dig myself out of a deep hole that had no bottom. They are now suing me for $1547.00. And every time I call the lawyer's office, they give me a rate that is 300-400 dollars higher than what they say they are suing me for.

We took out a small loan from Care Credit to help with some dental problems. We needed this done and did not have the money. These people feed of the poor. They wanted their payment by the 27th of each month. I paid double on the fifth and because it was early we were hit with a $25 late fee. I called and tried to get the bill moved to the 10th like every legitimate business. This way it would not be forgotten. They refused even with the double payment. Because of the late payment the interest went up to 26%. By the end of our loan we ended up paying $1000 on a $500 loan.
We received a letter saying we may be entitled to a settlement for overcharges but they want an exact date on the overcharge. The whole thing was an overcharge. It was not made clear the terms of the loan or we would have lived with bad teeth and pain. Loan Sharking is what this is. These are white collar crooks riding the line of the law and going over when they can. It’s a shame when we really needed help we were extorted. It makes me bitter toward corporate America and question the whole system - Money above all.

I have your card CC thru GE Capital. I scheduled auto pay, but it did not kick in, in time, and I was hit with a $25 late fee. This account is new, and I used it for my Lasik eye surgery. I called customer service on 3/7 and was told I needed to schedule my payment over the phone in order for her to take the fee off. I told her I already scheduled auto pay, and it shows double payments will come out on 3/26. She told me to schedule it with her and cancel the auto pay, then after the 26th resubmit the auto pay. I said that was not customer service and why couldn't she just credit me $25 now and let the payment come out on 3/26. She then talked over me and told me that my fee will never be taken care of and they will report to credit and care credit will be the only card I ever have because of it. She was VERY rude.
I swear I am going to record all of my calls to anywhere that outsources to India because that's exactly where she was answering my call from. She was such a ** and so verbally rude, I just couldn't believe it. I now canceled my auto pay and once I continue to get phone calls and letters I will send them right back to you and once you report it to my credit I will dispute it. You aren't getting anything out of me until you credit me $25. Period.

I was looking through the Care Credit Physicians for weight loss clinics in my area. I found a physician/clinic through the Care Credit website. The physician is actually listed with the company name on Care Credit's website. It makes you believe that you are going to a credible facility with an actual medical doctor overseeing thing. I went to the Laser Clinic of Chesapeake. They advertise iLipo treatments and that a physician worked in the office. It isn't until something is going wrong that you find out that it is not iLipo as advertised AND there is NO physician actually working in the office. The physician is the "Medical Director" and the physician is an OBGYN that never steps foot in the practice. The only reason they have a Medical Director is so they have the ability to use the medical license to purchase the medical equipment and to get acceptance for Care Credit.
When I was experiencing a funky rash all over my back, the weight loss they promised was not working and they were faking measurements and weight measurements. I brought it to their attention. The clinic refused to allow me to see or speak with the medical physician because they said it was not a medical problem in why I was not losing weight. I asked to speak with the medical doctor numerous times and every time was degraded and made to be this fat ogre.
I contacted Care Credit to find out why they would refer to a clinic that does not actually have a medical physician and I wanted to know their credentialing for picking service providers, and they told me that they don't have to be medical physicians to be with Care Credit. Deceptive information because I thought that was exactly what Care Credit was about. I launched a complaint and filed a fraud claim in which I was allowed little explanation of my actual complaint. When the clinic wrote a letter stating that everything I stated was false, Care Credit took it upon themselves to refuse to hear anything further from me and closed the complaint in favor of the provider.
So I guess you need to research these "PHYSICIANS" before you get any treatment or see a physician and not trust the deceptive script from Care Credit that you are actually going to be referred to a licensed medical facility where a doctor is actually working within the building. I was under the impression that Care Credit was for use with a no kidding medical doctor and they advertise as such. This facility did not have a doctor in the building and when I contacted the doctor's office that the Physician that was advertised actually worked for, they refused to give my message to the doctor or return my calls.
I got a number of harassing emails from the owner of the Laser Clinic of Chesapeake and Care Credit stands behind their "Physicians." I now have to pay thousands of dollars and I had a medical issue for the lack of weight loss and for the rash. I did not get the services for which I am paying and I feel ripped off.

But the way they structure the minimum payments does not add up to the total balance due after the 12-18 month promotional period. They structure it in a way that even if you're paying the minimum balance on your bill every month, at the end of the promotional period you still owe on the balance. Then they tack on the $800+ of back interest plus about $30 per month till the balance is paid. It's such a deceitful way to get you to pay hundreds more than expected. This was something special that I was treating myself to. What he installed were grayish horse teeth, almost twice as long as my natural ones. He did not respond to my remarks, so I sent a complaint to Care Credit asking for my money back so that I could find a more-experienced specialist. Dr. ** emailed that he would fix it to my satisfaction. Shortly after, a CareCredit woman called to say that Dr. ** had" acted in good faith", therefore CareCredit was siding with him. Since he promised to correct his mistakes, I did what she said, let him continue but the job was not finished. What if he messed up again? "Then you submit another complaint," she said. All the while, I paid 1/12th every month online without waiting for a bill.
Next, a temporary one-piece arch with off center 'teeth' all pointing 20* to the left were installed. I had brought him a model of my natural teeth as well as one with the Cerinates, so that he could get closer to my natural fit. I had expressly noted on the intake sheet that I couldn't have Epinephrine, yet he recklessly sneaked it in without anyway causing a very frightening vascular reaction. The assistant refused to let me sit up to get some air in my lungs; she also did not know how to take blood pressure, fumbling with 2 different instruments without getting an accurate reading.
The 2nd set of crowns were closer in color to the Cerinates I had started out with, in a more more natural length but with huge triangle spaces that gave me a very 'wet speech', making people step back from me. Everyone told me I should have it corrected. Back to temporaries. Originally, I had a cantilevered bridge at the right end, meaning 2 crowns ending with a cantilevered spacer that had worked well for 4 years. His temporary cantilever was very small and unsupported by the gums (a large space between it and the gums) that quickly broke off. The final set of crowns was his original gray with no cantilevered right end, and a totally mismatched / sized left bridge of a different style, color and length. He replaced the loose implant with a huge shiny post that looks like an amalgam; I had all amalgams removed years ago. I now have shooting pains in that area, which he also has ignored. I would have expected the same post material that I started out with and at least some explanation as to why there should be shooting pains. He would not start installing the final set without my signing some paper, of which he gave me no copy.
I came to this dentist in good faith, paying good money for what was to be an improvement. Any ethical dentist would have honestly informed me of his inexperience in this type of dentistry so I'd had a chance to find someone better. This whole torture lasted from July through end of December 2013. I lost 12 lbs of body weight that I can ill afford.
But back to CareCredit: I called to lodge a new complaint as I had been told, about the shoddy outcome - longer, different style and color left fangs - and a very rude woman snapped that this case had already been decided months ago regardless of when it was finished, and no new complaint was going to be accepted. They are not pro-consumer, their main goal seems to be making interest off consumers who expect some help back up. It feels like the dentist must have paid some membership that was more valuable to them than the cardholder. Instead of the expected improvement, I went through 5 months of torture and a mismatched upper arch with a missing right cantilever, new shooting pains at the implant site and a very rude, uncooperative CareCredit company. All I can say is beware of GE CareCredit!

When I went to the dentist I was told that as long as I kept my bill current there would be no interest charge. I have not had a late bill, however as of the 18th month, I get a $502.00 interest charge. When I called they stated that if you don't pay the bill in 18 months, the past due interest charges will be applied. I asked her why didn't they give me payments for the 18 months so that the bill would have been paid off timely. She said they only give you the minimum amount that is due. So that's lets you know right away that they set you up as to not pay the bill in 18 months.
They are a fraud and a rip off. To this date I still have not received a card or information on the card. She stated that if I give her $1152.00 on the phone to pay off the balance then she will see what she can do regarding the interest. I don't see how the government allows these so called credit companies to exist. They are worst than loan sharks. Everyone don't believe that what goes around will come around. They will get there in the end. Usury is a sin as well as fraud. I hope they become totally bankrupt and feel the pain that they put upon others.

They send you a monthly bill but they don't even give you 28 days for a month. You never know when your bill is due so you always have a late fee. They send a bill once a month but it's never in time to pay them. They draw you in with telling you have 6 months no interest but you don't because I like most people consider a month to be at least 30 days not 21 to 27. If you get paid once a month you never catch up no matter what you pay.

My disabled son needed vet care for his service dog so he opened an account that I made payments on. One month the mail was late so we got dinged double after that. He has now taken out a normal bank loan to pay this off as after 2 1/2 years the balance should have gone down instead of going up. I thought this was like an expensive finance company until they raised the interest rate making them just a payday loan company with offices out of state. He has been getting collection calls at 7am threatening him daily.
At one time I found a charge against my debit card claiming to be for dental work in Minnesota. I looked up the dentist only to find him in Oregon. I live in neither state! It turns out that Care Credit was trying to take money out of my bank account for work that was never done and was never authorized on the debit card.

I have an account with G.E. Capitol. I have always paid my account on the 1st of the month. When I received my statement for December, I noticed a late charge fee charged from my late payment. I called a representative to discuss the fees charged. Come to my surprise, I was told that I was paying my payments before the new billing cycle. I also found out that I had six late charges for the past year. I told the representative that was not possible, that I have always paid my payments on the 1st of the month. I was informed that although I paid early I was paying before the new billing cycle. She also told me I still had the December payment due although I have already paid a payment on December 1st. So how's that for trying to make payments on time. DID THE FINANCIAL PEACE CLASSES, SO LOOK OUT BANKS YOU CAN HAVE YOUR CREDIT CARDS. When I have them paid who cares about a credit score? I do not have great credit, but I do on the other have a great job, and with a little attention to detail on my credit report. You can clearly see that I am still in school and have little to no credit card debt. I asked for a small amount. They denied me. So I called customer service to find out why I was denied. She said she couldn't tell me but I would get a letter. Then I asked, "What is the criteria to be approved with Care Credit?" She said there was no specific criteria (ummm what does that mean). And then I asked her if there was a way to appeal the decision. She said no. (But that doesn't make sense, because if you can reapply with a co-signer, then there must be.) And then I asked if they had an email. She said no. How does a company not have an email? Worst and starting to seem like a credit scam. I was told that they were supposed to be flexible. Why do doctors push them on their patients if they are this awful? I'm going to find all the blogs on the internet and post and I will find an email and let whoever is in charge know that they are running a sloppy business.

I have had CareCredit, controlled by GE Money for years. It is current and is on AutoPay. I have struggled as a single mother of a disabled child that works full time. Over the past few years as the economy struggled so did I. I fell behind in other areas but not this account. My son broke his hearing aids last week as well as the TV. I purchased a TV last week on Big Sandy credit, also a GE Money card now. I was about to take his hearing aids to get them fixed and they lowered my CareCredit account. I don't think it’s fair this close to Christmas to hold other accounts against me as I struggle to pay all of them when I have always paid this one. Now my disabled son will either get gifts for Christmas or be able to hear... some choice. I believe they acted unfairly to better their bottom line. It dropped from 5000 to 1800 - that's a big drop, and now they make it look like I pushed my limit to max when I didn't.

UNDOUBTEDLY THE WORST CREDIT CARD EVER. I have PERFECT credit (I mean well into 800 FICO, had NEVER used a CC for anything, was in between jobs and decided to have elective surgery). We have recorded this company's "customer service" calls every 2 hours between the hours of 8AM and 11PM for the last 10 days. The first bill (which to this minute I have no idea what the amount is/was) was due on November 1. At EXACTLY 8AM on Nov. 1, the phone began to ring, first the house, then the office. Having just had surgery 18 days prior, I had not been to the office, but when I did go in, I called them back from the financial office phone extension. They then began calling that number as well. All three phones ringing in succession.
We recorded their abusive collections calls, used a Google voice number to document the incoming calls every two hours and finally my boss (a surgeon no doubt) called me in and said she would NEVER accept their card again after listening to the obnoxious number of calls and voicemails left on our office manager's line. I finally had to block their calls as I was unable to log in to the site to even know what the account number was to pay the bill. I called from another number (my friend's home - also a plastic surgeon) and they began calling her every two hours as well. She works 8pm-8am at a trauma center and has had to change their home number as her daughter hit redial the first time they called and that evidently is a signal to these idiots to keep calling.
I called asking for my own account number to end this madness and they told me to wait for it to arrive by mail in 7-10 days and I explained I would pay it in 3 equal payments as soon as it arrived. Today was day 4 and all the phones are once again ringing non-stop. I have attempted to log into the website to make an immediate payment and it continuously denies access and gives an error message to call in. I screen shot and time stamp the 50 (!!!) of these, we have tried to prove harassment in a court battle that is definitely coming.
I once had an Amazon card (also GE) that you had to have to use Roku and the EXACT same thing happened. We have made over 300 copies of documents and even got our friends to get cards to prove this is their business model to scam interest off people. The law will deal with them so: a) record every call, b) use an internet # that documents each incoming call on an email (like Google voice), c) take screen shots of your phone's incoming and outgoing call history showing your efforts to resolve or pay, d) send emails asking for same info, e) take screen shot of your computer monitor EVERY time the log in says it won't work (also SS your input info BEFORE you hit submit so you can prove you are providing accurate info at the start, f) record each and every call to or from them (you MUST say "I am recording this call" to them as soon as they pick up as their recording does).
I say CLASS ACTION SUIT. Never in my life did I dream that a quick elective surgery would create such horrific stress 30 seconds after a due date for a payment that no one even knew how or what to pay and after recording ourselves asking for the amount due and the account # 5x, the company continues to call. The law is on our side. What they are doing is illegal and if I didn't like my great credit so much, I'd file bankruptcy just to be able to force them to quit calling and to absolve myself from keeping this junk business afloat.

How am I supposed to be a satisfied customer when the automated call system routed me through fifteen different "how can I help you" scripts before allowing me to speak to a human? Then, when I did speak to a human, she was not able to understand my request. Finally, she transferred me to a supervisor who told me, "I am sorry, there is nothing that we can do to help". A year ago, I was told I needed a root canal, over $1000, to save a tooth. I went to the endodontist recommended by my regular dentist. This specialist, after the first (of 3 very long uncomfortable sessions) had his office staff hand me papers to sign to be financed by GE CareCredit. It was my understanding that if I paid the full amount in a year, I would avoid interest. I signed, with the expectation that I would be able to pay some but not all in a year and would then deal with interest as I continued to pay.
On 10/4/2013, I learned, via my statement from GE CC that I had just incurred an additional $239 on my bill (above and beyond the one additional charge for $93 made during the past month) - 100% of which was interest on the original amount owed! I am not just Angry, I am Very Angry, as I feel I was boxed into using this credit card (I stated multiple times to the endodontist before the work began that I did not have money to pay up front and was already on a very tight budget), and that the way GE CC handled their wording it was all too easy to misunderstand what I was getting into, kind of a balloon payment. Now it looks like I am in for several more months of $50 payments, and who knows what other fine-print tricks are being played at my expense. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

You must watch all of your payments like a hawk because they really want you to mess up even though they have this promotion that you will not be charged "interest" if you pay the due amount in full by the promotional date. Read the fine print on the charge where you must make payments EVERY MONTH regardless if you've paid all but a few $$ of your balance well in advance of the promotional charge!! If you pay a payment too soon that ends up being posted early and don't ensure you have a payment posted EVERY MONTH during the period you will get a surprising service charge like I did for $25!!
I scheduled payments for the same amount each month which would pay the full amount three months prior to the final due date. The closing dates vary. Be wary. When I saw this charge on my statement I wanted to discuss it - It was Sunday so... forget that! No service from a human being on the weekends. Also, note that you can only call them from 10:30am to 7pm EST and they RECOMMEND you try from Wednesday through Friday. If you work, good luck with that! All other credit card companies serve you 24/7 with real people. The interest rate is a whopping 26+ percentage!! So, I called today to ask a couple of questions. I never had to call before and I am so glad I called AND I read the reviews online. First, I wondered why my account was NOT going down. If your one day late, they charge you a $35.00 fee and from a review I read, if you don't pay 5 days in advance before your due date online, then your account won't be posted timely and they charge you. I am sooo tired of getting ripped off all the time. I mean really tired of it. And I called to tell her I got laid off and asked if they could waive the fees for a few months while I look for a new job and she told me they don't work with people on this.
So if you lose your job, you’re still stuck with the payment or this will go on your credit report. The prompts come on the call will be monitored or recorded and the rep's voice appears. After 7 times of "I am here" and having full signal on my mobile, the female responded. I cannot tell you how many times I repeated myself and gave the same information, which she asked out of order numerous times. Finally, she got it all down and my payment was made. Next, I would like to ask a question she may answer or direct me elsewhere to someone who may. I am not redirected, yet given a number to dial. I dialed the number and it said, "Congratulations! You won a 2-night cruise to the Bahamas. Please press a number to speak with a representative or stay on the line for further assistance." I stayed on the line and was hung up on.
I called the first number again and explained my situation. She attempted to connect me, yet no chance and gave me another number to dial. I called. The third rep I spoke with is unaware that I will take a survey of her customer service skills. She did not listen when I replied that I know my username and password which is not the problem. My problem consisted of the website always rejecting the last four digits of my account whenever prompted to enter. The third rep repeated herself and I repeated the same response that I know that information. I just wanted to have my four digits to be recognized when I needed to use them. She continued on not listening or attempting to understand, and certainly did not find someone else who could. Plus, I asked about the number I was given which spoke about a cruise. She verified it is part of GE Capital, yet has no idea about the cruise info. I stated it felt like a joke and I did not care about a cruise. All I wanted was to get help making sure my information registers online.
Of course, she did not listen and believe what I am saying even though I repeated the number and tried again with the thing. After she is unable to answer the question or direct me to someone who may better understand my inquiry, she hung up on me. No survey left for me to complete. I work with customer service and understand there is a reason behind someone who sounds distraught. As a customer service personnel, you try and understand the client and help out, not read words off a script that sound soulless or blank. Have some patience and above all, do not hang up on people! I only asked why nobody notified me for this instance, especially when they have all of my phone numbers and emails on file supposedly to notify me when something is wrong! On the other hand, I always keep receiving marketing materials from them. I will pay them off as soon as possible and never use them again because they treat you like a nobody! That wasn't customer service and even though they charge you an insane interest rate, their customer service department is by far the worst I have encountered in my life. My advice to all of you is that you should not use them unless it is an absolute necessity. Make sure you pay them off within the promotional period, not a day later! They use us so make sure you use them too!

This credit card is just like any other. If you misuse it, then that’s your fault. I have had Care Credit for 8 years and never had a problem. I use it to pay Dental Co-pays and for Veterinary Services. I always pay through my bank's on-line bill pay with no problems. People need to start taking responsibility for their actions. I even had an issue with being overcharged by my Chiropractor. Needless to say, the Chiropractor Billing Department was horrible and I dropped off a stack of insurance statement and bill receipts showing they overcharged me $50.00 and they never got back to me. 2 months later I filed a dispute with CC and mailed them the same paperwork. Within a week I received a refund. They had to mail a check because I had just paid the card off. It came in no time. I see a lot of negative review and I have personally never had a bad experience. But then again the complaints seem to stem from credit card misuse.

I am glad I was able to find so many reviews online, and even through some financial sources before applying for this card. My dentist suggested it and I took home the brochure to read. Consequently, I was shocked at the lack of clarity in their brochure and counted at least seven typos, not very professional. The language they used to explain the promotional period and terms are vague at best, misleading at worse (and their website does no better). All this sets off serious alarm bells for me. I'm not going to be hoodwinked into this one, GE CareCredit!

My opinion is that they steal patients' dollars along with the dentists who use them.

This had to do with a dental bill of over $5,000 which I paid in full via check by mail. They cashed the check one day after the processing period and charged me an $81 finance charge and a $35 late charge, and because I moved and asked a friend to forward my mail (which he just did after 4 months, lol). I now see that I owe $122.50, which is ** to begin with. So I called, got hung up on, called back, and I was told that they were having trouble with their phones, and then I gave them credit card info to pay the bill and they told me they would charge my card $123 because their system will not allow them to take a payment ending in $.50 and then after all that, they told me they don't take Visa, only Master Card. This company is unbelievable.

Six months into a 24-month promotional rate, they suddenly have no record of the promotion and started charging 24.99% interest. Like others, the provider could not sway their minds of the promotion. Short end of story, I was taken to collections (pay up over $9,000 on a $3,000 bill) as they would not cancel account or renegotiate payments. Credit report shows GE Care Credit charge-off, plus collection company, and subsequently lawsuit. What's worse is that even though our family is now paying off the debt, the charge-off continues to be freshly reported each and every month. That is called credit report poisoning.

I am actually very angry at this point with CareCredit. I cannot accept their apologies anymore at this point because it's gotten ridiculous! I had a procedure done on November 4, 2012. In August 2012, I had called to request a due date change from the 16th of every month to the 28th because that's when I would be able to make my payments. In November, I charged my card and thought to myself, "Okay, so I changed the due date to the 28th so I'll be able to make my payment on time!" No, that was not the case! It took CareCredit 6 freaking months to have a simple due date changed! It took several calls and complaints until they finally changed the due date, which didn't take effect until this month of February 2013.
On top of all this, they told me if I pay my payment on the 28th before the change takes effect, then I will be charged a late fee. But to not worry, that it will be adjusted right away after it's been charged. Well guess what? That was not done either. I called them just now to address this issue and they, once again for the 100th time, apologized and told me that they will credit back the late fee, but it won't process and show on my account until April. Do not open a CareCredit account! I don't even want to pay off my account at this point and don't feel like giving them my hard earned money!

In the summer of last year, I needed to get some dental work done. After my insurance covered most, the bill was still $800. They said if I wanted, I could sign up for Care Credit and use that to pay it. I asked them what the interest rate was. And they said, "No interest for 12 months." I thought that would be perfect because I could make a low payment and still have it paid off before the interest kicked in. So, all this time, I've been paying the minimum which would be paid off in 12 months.
I went to make a payment today and now I have interest. After calling GE, they said it was 12 months from the promotional period, not when I actually got my card and used it. So now, I have some awful interest of 28% even though I've only made payments for about 6 months. I used to tell people this was a great way to pay for glasses or something they didn't have the money for. I realize I had a previous balance with you and as of 12/2012, my balance is $3,272.72 and I was 90 days past due. Well I did not want my credit to be awful, so I obtained three part-time: (1) LiveOps, a job where I answer phone calls to sell items advertised on TV; (2) Homebound, where I go to children's homes to tutor and teach; and (3) PAI Palmetto Autistic Incentive, where I go to homes of children with autism and work the ABA Behavior Therapy with them. I obtained these jobs so I could begin making earnest monthly payments. I made a sacrifice with my monthly financial obligations and saved and paid you, GE Capital Credit Care, the $529.00 balance I owed. I then immediately turned around and paid another $112.00 that brought me up-to-date.
So I was under the assumption that my balance was $3,272.72 and as my payments went down, then my balance would also go down. In basic subtraction, I was under the assumption that my account looked like this:
$3,272.72 - $500.00 = $2,772.72 balance payment 1/4/2013$2,772.72 - $29.00 = $2,743.72 balance payment 1/4/2013
$2,743.72 - $112.00 = $2,631.72 balance payment 1/17/2013
I have been working my ** off maintaining four jobs (1 full-time, 3 part-time) so that I could pay my GE Capital Credit Care balance earnestly monthly and on time. I am the type of person that if I make a bill, I am going to pay it. But I also have my mortgage, gas/electric bill, my water bill, my car insurance and other financial obligations to take care of. I am working like a dog to pay most of those other financial obligations off as quickly as possible, so I can put more money toward the balance of my GE Capital Credit Care balance.
So when I received an email alert that my GE Capital Credit Care statement was ready to view, I signed on excited because I knew I would see where my hard work had paid off. I would have a $2,631.72 balance and I knew when I got paid from my jobs that I would be able to put a dent in that and be on my way to paying it off. But to my complete surprise and dismay, I saw that my balance was $3.086.00. Excuse me? That was not the subtraction I did. How did my hard work and sacrifices get an additional $400.00 added to my balance? So I was working this hard for nothing? So as I pay, pay and pay, my balance with GE Capital Credit Care is going to continuously go up? Why pay?
Well I was able to get a customer service rep on the telephone and she proceeded to tell me about some $700 charge that was on my account from 1/2012. Seriously? And that the $400 interest came from the fact that I did not pay that. Okay, I am lost. I thought my balance was $3,272.72 and I thought this was the balance that I was working with. What $700 is she referring to? Really, GE Capital Credit Care. Is this how you do your business? Hidden charges, fees added that a customer doesn't understand. What makes it so very sad is you know most customers don't understand what you are referring to when you attempt to make that explanation about some charge that you added $400.00 interest to.
I have a question GE Capital Credit Care. Did you call me to explain that there was this $700.00 charge and there may be a possibility of a $400.00 interest charge added to my bill? But GE Capital Credit Care did call me when my account was past due? No. No one called me, but I received plenty of calls when my account was past due. I was called at least once a day until I was caught up. I just think it's so sad that you saw that I was making a hard earnest effort to pay my account down/off and you just added that additional $400.00 with no thought about how hard it was for me (a single, one income person doing it completely on her on) to get as far as I had with my payments.
Is this how GE Capital Care Credit does business? Creates contracts, bills and agreements that contains such fine, small and confusing print (you know it's confusing for the most consumers to understand what's going on) that you are able to scam them out of their hard earned money? I will be contacting Consumer Affairs. I do not want you to dissolve my total bill. All I ask for is to be fair and remove that additional $400.00 worth of interest you added and let me pay my bill earnestly, monthly and on time.

I had my payment drafted from my bank automatically every month prior to due date, in excess of amount due. I did not look at the statement often as I knew the bank draft cleared every month. Then I decide to check my balance with the idea of using it again. According to my calculations, my balance should have been $200.00. I was shocked to find GE Capital Bank had changed my due date without notifying me.
They had charged me late fees every month for 1 year without one call to me. So of the $50.00 payment I sent, they deducted $35.00 for late fees, still making the account delinquent. The due date difference was 2 days. I had no idea. I spent hours on the phone with their representatives trying to resolve this issue. They couldn’t help me nor direct me to anyone that could make decisions. The account had accrued over $500.00 in late fees and would have continued to charge fees unless I paid the $500.00 in late charges. I notified them I would not pay anything else on the account until someone of authority notified me to resolve this, and I sent a letter to this statement. The next thing I receive is a letter from a collection attorney, who offered me no resolve.
I offered to pay the balance of the principal of $200.00 but no more. They continue to harass me and my plan now is to contact the Federal Trade Commission. Because of this bank, my credit worthiness has been affected in a very negative way. I am still unable to find a person of authority to help me resolve this. But they would not accept her payment either for the offer. They still added $454.00 interest.
Now, I owed them $1000, so I’ve got it paid down to $864.76 (which is what the balance says online). But when I called, they wouldn’t tell me because I am only an authorized user of the card. That doesn’t make sense because they send me the bill and not the card holder. I feel I've been ripped off. I will not do business with them again. I don't know how these people are still in business when they don't even abide to their own policies by changing customer's terms of service without their consent. Just an FYI for anyone thinking about using CareCredit for any medical procedures, you are better off using your credit card or get a personal loan at a bank instead.
These CareCredit people will change their policies or regulations on their customers and then sell the customers' accounts off to another predatory lender--and charging them a crazy interest rate on a monthly basis. At this rate, you will have a hard time paying it off, and only paying the interest rates on your balance, leaving you with owing more money than what you have borrowed with in the beginning.

I finally got through to them on the phone to explain the situation and their response to me was there wasn't a problem with their site and they were going to charge me late fees and interest. I explained again that I tried to pay and their site wouldn't let me, and the response I got back was that's not their problem. I told them at that point that I don't appreciate being ripped off and that I would not make any payments at all if they did not remove these charges. Again the response was that's not their problem. Now they have attorneys contacting me. In my 1st complaint I asked to have one of their office lawyers to call me and to this day this has not happened. I would really appreciate having one of their lawyers contact me ASAP please, as not only is GE Care Credit wrong for, as you can see, all the people they are ripping off, it's also wrong that we come to you for help and we don't get it. I would also like to have anyone else who is getting ripped off by Care Credit to email me and put together a multiple lawsuit against them. If several people come together, we can beat them.

I started out owing them $4,000 in January. Now, at the beginning of October, I have paid that down to $1,770.70 in just nine months. The minimum amount they want you to pay every month is $95. I know of no other creditor that requires you to pay that high of a minimum every month. That said, paying the minimum would have only added up to $855. I have paid about $2500. There is a couple hundred dollar difference between what I have paid and what I owe due to interest. I had an extended period of unemployment. I have recently been hired for a new job. But the job does not start until the 10th of this month. Due to my extended period of unemployment, I have very little in the bank. For just one month, I would like to pay my Care Credit bill by credit card. But they absolutely refuse to let you pay by credit card. I also do not understand why the monthly minimum is still as high as for $1770 as it is for $4,000. I just want to pay once by credit card. By the following month, I will be working and earning enough money to, once again, pay my bill through my bank account.
I have never in my life missed paying a bill or a credit card payment. But, unless something changes real fast, I will do so now. I'm afraid of, not only having my credit rating and history negatively affected, I am afraid, Care Credit will go out of its way to punish me with astronomical interest rate increases. There was a payment owed of $95 on 9/9. I paid $200. I then paid $125 on 9/14. This payment was after the 9/9 due date. I thought it would be credited to my next bill. But they backed it up and credited it to the 9/9 bill. This company has a lot of consumer complaints against it. But I found this out much too late.

I took out a loan for a medical procedure a year ago. I feel ** for not researching this company more. Basically, I was told I had a zero interest loan for 12 months that ended September of 2011 (this month). I went to pay my account in full. Not only did they charge me a late fee saying I was late (I paid on the actual due date), they said the promotion ended a few weeks ago (end of August). And because I failed to pay it in full, they tacked on 1500 dollars of back interest onto my account that I am now apparently responsible for! What happened to "zero interest? The interest starts when the promotion date has ended. And what happened to the promotion ending this month?
I tried calling them and explaining my situation. They were more than nasty to me. I am now going to be looking for a class action lawsuit, and to hire an attorney for these greedy people! Talk about predatory lending. Oh and by the way, I explained that the economy has hurt us in the past year (my husband was laid off last month). I also told them how we couldn't afford to pay the back interest (not to mention the sky high interest that will be building on the back interest). The supervisor said, "Oh please ma'am, the economy has been the same for 3 years." How insensitive can someone be?!

The payment calculator is misleading on their website. Payment plan shows no interest for 18 months if you pay $283.00 per month. I have automatic withdrawals every month, so I never missed a payment. After one year ,GE charges my account the amount of $1106.84 as finance charge. I called and talked to GE and they said those payment plans are an estimate. I explained that this is very misleading. They charge interest on the past year and future balance.

I called CareCredit a couple of months ago to find out exactly what had to be paid before promotional 0% interest ended. I was provided one date. I was also informed that all payments went to promotional period first. I was told I had one promotional period. Made a payment for what was showing as promotional balance. Now it is showing a different amount. I have been told on 08/16/10 that I previously had two promotional periods, but I wasn't told that when I called to check balance. Now I'm being told that I have been charged interest on the account since January and that one promotional period had ended when I was informed that I only had one promotional period. I was interrupted multiple times by this associate and talked to very rudely.
I was informed that there wasn't anyone higher up than him to speak with at that number. He only gave me first name and ID #, which is **. I have tried to pay online multiple times in which their system was down and said they couldn't accept payments at that time. My last payment actually wasn't posted until 2 days after the due date due to this reason as well. Inaccurate information was relayed to me in which I based my payments on.
I have had one promotional period that apparently was for only 6 months when I was informed that I had 1-12 months promotion. I have been charged interest on my account since January 2010. They tell me that this has been on my statements, but I did not see it on them and I make the payments online. This company is not worth the time it would take to talk to an attorney. I have been told multiple different responses, which looks as if their employees or some of them did not know what they were talking about or found it amusing to lie to someone. I will be paying this card off soon and would not and will not recommend this to anyone. I was told there wasn't anything that could be done about this. Felt that someone should investigate this card company. I had seen multiple negative comments and posts regarding this company after I took out this card. Now I see why.

It's not what has happened, it's what is possibly going to happen, and that is the same experience I have read in all the above complaints. Why is this company allowed to get away with this and why is it not a requirement that dentist office explain the whole thing to you? If I knew all of this beforehand, I would have just used any credit card in my possession, and worried about interest rates, time and so on later. Anyone have any suggestion to stopping this hell before I start making payments?
I have 2 different bills on one statement, yet the first one which was a vet bill of over $800 with no interest to be paid in full in 6 months. The other, the higher of the two of course, is the dentist bill of over $2500 with interest. Someone please explain to me why that is? Why have I already been charged over $28 in interest, before I have even gotten the bill? And how do they decipher which one I am paying off, which naturally is the no interest account. If I were to pay it off by the minimum, I can honestly tell you, I would be dead before that happens.

After more than 3 years with your company, I sadly have an issue with your customer service. I called in last month and spoke with a woman (didn’t take down her name because she didn’t personally make any physical changes to my account) and asked if I were to use my Care Credit card for $4,500.00, would Care Credit be able to put that amount in back of my remaining balance, so that I could start payments when my last loan was paid off?.
She said that this process was called allocation and they could do so but I would need to call back after I used it due to the fact that no current charges were in front of her. I called to verify this because I needed to have ear surgery prior to my 3 year school commitment and had no other time to have such a procedure done, but currently would not be able to make any payments other than the payments I owed at that time. I did advise her of this and she confirmed I could do so.
After my surgery on 5-11-10, I called back in and spoke with a gentleman (Again, no name I was so excited that I actually forgot you’ll see why) and explained that I needed to have the new loan amount allocated (as advised). He had no idea what I was speaking of. I advised him of my previous call to C/S and he said that even though Care Credit could do no such thing, I should be happy to know that he was showing my new payments were around $105.00.
I asked, Oh cool, so you guys lengthened my loan time so that the payments will be lower? He said, I guess so. I again asked him to confirm because it seemed too good to be true but he assured me that my payments were lowered. I thanked him and advised my husband of this (as he is the one that makes the payments) and we were both extremely happy with Care Credit at this time and were considering using your service for him as well in the future.
Well, to my surprise, we received our bill which had our old loan amount of approximately $170.00 + my new loan amount of approximately $105.00! This was so upsetting! I could not pay this amount unless I went without eating that month! Again, I called C/S and spoke with yet another gentleman whom did not want to give his name and said there was nothing they could do about it and that I would have to pay for it. He transferred me to his supervisor very quickly. I then spoke with a Steve (said his I.D. was **, this time I asked because I was infuriated by this point) whom claimed to be his supervisor.
I explained (again) my entire situation and that I called prior to services rendered because I could not pay more than my first loan amount of approximately $170.00 but the surgery was needed due to school and that I was assured it would be ok to do so (as mentioned above). He was extremely rude, cold, and literally made me physically ill with the way he spoke to me. He advised me that there was nothing they could do and no one should have told me such things. He proceeded to tell me that if I choose to either not pay, or pay anything under the minimum payment, that I would be sent to collections. He also advised that I could not speak with anyone else within the company and I verified he was the highest management within the company. He agreed and gave me the El Paso address so I could send a letter for my file (?). I thought, wow, I called frantically scared trying to see what Care Credit could do for me and instead of someone maybe looking into what happened, I was being threatened!
I was transferred way too quickly for him to have any of my information in front of him so he did not even give it a try. Sad! Years of making payments (on time) with Care Credit and this is the service I get. It’s sad that your company obviously spends no time in training your employees or making sure that they are taken care of. God forgive me, but your company will crumble if that continues.
I am only asking for that of which I was advised. If I would have bought an item, I would have returned it. I had surgery! Would you like my ears back as payment? I mean really, I called in to make sure it was ok for that reason. The C/S representative obviously did not take my inquiry as seriously as I did!
We found a way to borrow the amount over our regular payment, but what do I do next month? We have 3 children to care for. Should I tell them we cannot eat a full meal because I decided to trust a company’s word? I guess so. I don’t know what the end result will be but I am way too scared to ever use your services again. Please, no matter what your response is, send it in writing, as well as a common courtesy phone call. I would say that a response is at least expected.

I wrote to the "CEO" whoever it is, but I think this company is heartless. They don't care that they penalize you with 30% interest. They (the CEOs) will probably afford a nice vacation this year. This affects how I buy groceries and able to give to my daughter, like a graduation present. She doesn't get one. I wanted to buy her a camera, on sale for $150. She is a straight A student. Because I had to pay GE $118 in interest, she goes without a graduation present.

I signed up for a no interest payment plan. I always paid more than the initial payment and paid earlier than the due date. There was one month (July 2009) where I had a difficulty making the payment online and called Care Credit customer service for assistance. I was told the amount I would have to pay ($75.00) even though the bill had ($101.00). The conversation took place 6/12/09 for the 7/4/09 payment. Since I was having difficulty getting my payments straight with them, I paid the $75.00 hoping to get them in line with my method of payment.
On my September statement I was charged an interest over $1,000 and was told it was because of my late payment in July. Not only was I not late but if they had took the time to look at my payments I was far ahead of the amount due. I am writing a letter to the SC Smalls Claims Court, The Company and IRS Credit Card department. If the Company does not drop the late fees, financial changes and all interest I will take this to Smalls Claims Court. Incorrect Late Fees, Financial Fees, and Interest. I also want to make sure my credit rating is not affected by this.

This is what happened. I am a student who took this loan of $3000 from a dental clinic for my dental work and was given this 0% interest rate. I am sure you are aware of what is happening with those promotions. I set up an auto payment in the account and never actually got the statement in hand. I have just noticed a finance charge of $698 in February followed by a monthly $70. I thought I am just left with 50% of the amount paid. Now, I owe close to the same amount I did a year back.

I signed up for a payment plan through my dentist office for an elective Invisalign treatment. The dentist office promoted the payment plan through GE Care Credit as pay $208 over 24 months interest-free. That was all the dentist office told me, so I signed up through Care Credit. The statements I received showed a minimum amount due of $140. This is $68 below what I should have been paying in order to avoid interest. Nowhere on the statement does it show a payment amount of $208.
When I called Care Credit, I was told that it was up to me to "do the math" to figure out what my monthly payments should be. The annual percentage rate finance charge is a staggering 26.99%. At the $140 payment amount they show on the statement, it would take me 24 years to pay off the balance, and I would end up paying an estimated $16,436 versus the original $5000 for the dental work.
This is extremely misleading, and Care Credit told me it's up to the dentist office to tell me about this. My dentist office claimed no one from Care Credit ever told them this is how they bill their patients/customers. This is a scam and is leading people to pay less than they intend to, so that they will end up paying interest.

It became very difficult to make ends meet! I tried to get CC to put me on the program they have that pays your balance when you become unemployed but they said I didn't qualify! My interest is 29.99%. Finance charge is $45.88. Minimum payment is $141. Past due amount is $70. I am over the limit on this by $508.01. They wouldn't even consider me for their "hardship" program. I have to pay off the over the limit amount first! I am only able to make the past due amount. They also hound me by calling even when I have payments scheduled in advance on their website! This company should be put out of business! They don't help. They hurt the economy!
I am not trying to get out of paying this but when my personal credit cards and other lenders are working with me by putting me on plans, lowering interest and payments, it makes me very angry each time I have to deal with CC. I am not an angry person. Financially they are making it very difficult to keep continuing payments, and how am I supposed to pay when they aren't flexible? I can't catch up!

I had LASIK surgery performed in July 2009 and was offered 24 months same as cash with a monthly minimum payment requirement of $85.00. The amount to cover the LASIK procedure was $3568.30. I am paid once a month on the 15th. I requested that Care Credit change my due date to accommodate my pay schedule. They initially did not accommodate my request and added on late payment charges for the months of September and October (payments were received by Care Credit on September 23rd and October 21st for $144.68).
In early February, I received my statement showing Care Credit added on $432.03 in finance charges. Upon contacting the company, Amanda advised me that this was added on due to the late payments. Amanda then told me that I would have had to reject the charges by closing the account prior to the finance charges being added. I have now cancelled the account and sent payment of $2527.04, which was received by Care Credit on 2/8/2010 (I overpaid the original amount financed by $145.00 plus 2 late charges).
