I have been trying to transition from BBVA for the last almost 9 months. The interface is not user-friendly and sadly so are most of the employees. There is a form of arrogance and rude ways of conducting business that I have noted in most of the customer service representatives. I wish they would modify the system to a more efficient platform. PNC lacks a lot of basic features other banking sites carry.

I was working with Brandy **. Not only is their process extremely slow but the appraisal process makes no sense. We have a newer home for which sales are over 800k, yet we got appraised low. My first mortgage appraisal came in much higher. PNC does this so they can charge you an extra interest rate. It is in no way representative of the actual home value based on actual comparables. They did not work with me on the appeal process and it was a complete turnoff. Do not do business with PNC.

Worst bank EVER! STAY AWAY FROM PNC! PNC put a hold on my debit card for "investigative potentially fraudulent use". I would not have even known this if I hadn't tried to use my card. When I called customer service, I was transferred 6 different times and was on the phone over 2 hours! I was THEN informed of the hold. I spoke to Kim (the last representative I spoke to) and she lifted the hold and stated I shouldn't have any more issues but I would have to call the next morning to have a new debit card issued. I did that, as well as paid the $25 expedited fee. I received my card on Wednesday. I had to call PNC because instead of using my same pin number, they apparently changed it. However, the representative activated the card and told me to use it as credit until the pin number arrived in the mail.

Thursday evening, I got a notice my account was in low cash mode. Keep in mind, there were 3 digits in that account ($***.**). I immediately called PNC, once again. This time they informed me that the account was being closed. When I asked why, they could not give me a reason, only told me to call another number in the morning. I called that number this morning and they advised that there was nothing they could do, the account was closed and they would mail me a check of what was in my account! I told them they needed to also refund my $25 expedited fee I paid last Friday as well. I was told they will "put in a request" but no guarantees. I NEVER had issues with my account when it was BBVA! PNC Bank have poor customer service and no one knows what's going on. They just "pass the buck". STAY AWAY FROM PNC BANK!!

My parents have a second mortgage with PNC. Without any other prior notices (no letters, calls, emails, nothing) they received a notice of sheriff's sale of their home. The amount they want is triple the balance (about $93K versus $33K). PNC also did not contact the first lender. Calls to PNC to ask what/why, etc. were simply met with the repeatedly saying, "Pay your bills." Will not even listen or speak civilly. They never sent any bills. Paying a lawyer to help.

Separately, I had PNC accounts but closed them all. Many, many errors on their part e.g., removing my wife from the account, PNC doesn't even know why it happened, and requiring her to prove who she is all over again. Twice. Then a third time which was the final straw. Lots of other problems too but you get the point. They are terrible and disgusting.

I have been with this company over 10 years and it's been nothing but a headache. I got a new debit card which I thought would close my old card. But that wasn't the case, so anyone with my old card is still able to charge my card. I spoke to a representative this morning. For some reason she could not cancel old debit card which makes no sense at all. I also paid $33 to have a company stop taking payments. This did no justice either. I woke up to numerous payments taken from my account! I have decided to close my account with this bank!

When my bank was bought out by PNC I wanted to give them a chance. I thought one bank is as good as another and it will be less hassle if all my accounts stay the same and just transfer over- WRONG! PNC started their merger off by making customers wait at least an hour to speak with a person. Then, if I had any questions about my mortgage I was referred to the customer service number and told they could not see anything related to my mortgage on their computers, even though my mortgage is serviced through PNC!?

When I made my first mortgage payment in person I did not write my check out to PNC since I did not know if it should be BBVA or PNC, the teller said nothing and accepted the check and gave me a receipt. Later, my checking account is over drafted the amount of my mortgage only to find out through an hour wait that I did not write the for. So, I transferred money and straightened that out. Then, I paid over for my escrow since I had a notice my escrow went up. I was sent notices wanting the rest of my payment for that?? Then, they sent notices a month later that I was behind which I was not. An hour hold on the phone and two people later I was hung up on!! I will never use this bank or recommend this bank to anyone!

Small business owners stay away from this bank. They will never help you when you need their help. They throw you under the bus just like they did to me. I have been their customer for two years. In 2020, I made 805,000.00 and I used PNC as my only bank. I was putting every pressure on my employees to have them open a PNC account for a Smooth and faster payments. In 2021, my made $ 1 million. And I was a very loyal customer of PNC. When I asked them for a credit card list raise they made me feel like I am a thief.

I asked Bank of America the same question, they automatically qualified me for a credit limit double I asked PNC. PNC business account doesn't have Zelle transfer. That was hurting me. They are very slow on transferring payments. It takes them very long time to clear payments when people pay you in checks. Make sure you visit Bank of America and Chase banks before considering PNC. Especially, small business owners, be careful with PNC.

The ATM at the Great Southern Shopping center ate my bank card during a routine check deposit. Customer service said they can't access their own ATM to retrieve. 2 months later, same location ate a several hundred dollar deposit I was making. Again, customer service were patronizing and said they could only file a dispute. Told me it could take a while to resolve. I really do not understand how they could maintain such poor machinery at a bank of all places. There are clearly cameras recording transactions that prove my point. Appalling customer care.

Definitely the worst bank I've had. And I've banked with Huntington and US bank. Maybe if they invested some money in their network, customer service, and improving branch locations it would be better. They consistently take as long as possible to process incoming and outgoing transactions. You literally have to go back to keeping a paper bank ledger if you make a lot of payments, purchases, or if you have incoming funds often from anything like eBay or PayPal. They take forever to process refunds. Here lately I keep noticing that my veterans benefits payment on the first is showing up later and later. Other banks are nice enough to release funds as soon as they see them on the network. Not a greedy bank like PNC though, that's how they make loans in the fractional reserve banking system.

I set up automatic payments & suddenly that automatic payment magically ended & now I'm late on a payment. Then I call to make payment immediately & then get an email the next day that I owe the payment still. I call customer service, tell them I can see the payment has processed thru my other account with Bank of America (who I love), yet they can't see that on their PNC screen. I have tried to calling several times and waited over a hour to talk to someone because the garnishment was paid in full before letter was sent and should have never been removed from my account. I am highly disappointed as if this would have happened 2 years ago I would have talked to someone immediately when I called in.

Now I have my first reported fraudulent charge on this account, and reporting it has been a nightmare. I was charged $109.00, though I ordered nothing and received nothing in terms of goods/services. Vendor submitted charge TWICE, and PNC has allowed the second charge to stick. They claim it's a "disputed charge" and must "investigate". God only knows how long this will take.

I had a credit balance of 3 dollars, prior to this. Now, after reading a Slew of negative reviews, I am extremely concerned and all I want to do now is close the account and wash my hands of PNC. So far, they have sided with the Con Artists and I am furious. No I'm not going to be crippled by a $109.00 charge, but the whole point of it is: If they are not going to protect me from the legions of Con Artists who are SWARMING us all, trying to take advantage of this Pandemic - I will have nothing to do with them. Even if you get connected you then get transferred which then requires another wait. Overall Pathetic Customer Service. Tried going to a local branch but the lobby was closed until further notice. I used my BBVA rewards card for all monthly purchases and paid it off at the end of the month, I tried to do the same with my PNC card. However, PNC fraud protection would allow a transaction (say groceries) one day and deny that same kind of transaction another. In the month and a half I used their card, they denied 6 transactions, 1 was an emergency. Thankfully I had my Capital One on me. I called to get this resolved and was hit with extremely rude and snide comments that led to no resolution. When I asked for a supervisor to take my call, the rep said he was a supervisor and wouldn't transfer me. I switched to my Capital One card and shredded my useless PNC card. Hello, I am a business customer. I'm trying to reach someone that can help me resolve a negligent issue. As a valued PNC customer, I trust my finances with your institution. It saddens me that I have been reaching out for almost 2 months for you guys to stop am 7,800 international wire fraud on my BUSINESS ACCOUNT. I have been extremely patient while being assured that everything will be taken care of in timely fashion. I had my wire recalled immediately, before the intermediate bank ever released the funds. So I feel like your wire department mishandled this business wire fraud investigation.

Knowing how fast wires are processed, and internationally at that, before even leaving pnc... This transaction should have been fine tooth combed.. Instead, I get a new bank employee, without any experience to process my wire. I asked her to please investigate and make sure this was legit... With all of the fraud tools that all financial institutions have now, there is no way that account holders should just lose their money to scammers. We put our trust into your institutions to protect us from these types of harm. For your institution to tell me that it's just a loss, is very unacceptable. There has to be consequences. I don't think it's ethical to hold clients responsible for fraud to scammers.. You guys have created a loophole for the scammers to take our money, because they know that you, pnc, will not care basically.

This law needs amendment immediately. I'm sure I'm only one of many business owners who have been scammed. I am reaching out to all platforms for this matter publicly. I have been calling your bank and going in since October 15th, nothing has been resolved.. Y'all have given the scammers time to complete the transaction because pnc wasn't consistent. Pnc didn't make sure that it was stopped. Just sending an email request or 2 and having to wait weeks for no response from pnc isn't sufficient. When you, pnc, have the power to contact the intermediate and the beneficiary bank... This is the worst financial services and advice ever. Someone from corporate escalations needs to reach out to me immediately. I will be sharing this on all social media platforms. Thank you

She repeats, "he will be with you in a minute."

We do this 3 times. I give up and stay where I'm at. He looks up and says "that lady is next". She gathers up scattered documents and goes to his window. I wait. And wait. They leave. I go to window tell them my problem, they say, you will need to see a banker and you have to sign in using this bar code with your phone and she is busy with someone, but will be with you soon. I'm frustrated and leave. Go to a different branch. No one is in lobby. Man greets me and says, can I help you. I'm thrilled. Yes, I need to talk to a banker. He says, sure, go to the bar code and sign in.

Blood pressure rising. I do so, message on my phone says to go outside and pick up a number. Dude is standing there. I say, "what do I do?" He says, I will just check you in. SERIOUSLY. Here's where the fun begins. My wife is my bookkeeper and has the online app. He pulls my account up to find the problem. We can't fix the problem, but we find the solution.

He says he can't do the solution because my wife has to. I say I am 100% owner of the account, and here is my ID and passwords and any security question you want to ask. He says, he can't help me. I say, "This is my account. You have it on the screen. And you're saying I have to go home and have my wife fix it after you guys told me I have to come in?" He said, yes. I said, so basically I have to do my banking all online, you guys don't offer in person service. He says, more or less. I say, I'm a boomer and am moderately tech savvy, but what about older people who are not, they can't do business in person? He answers, "You would be surprised at how most people bank online." This is a true, absurd, story. It's complicated, I have three business accounts through them, but I'm moving to a new bank.

I was unhappy with BBVA so I closed my account on August 6th 2021. Somehow PNC got my closed account in their November 2021 merger. PNC decided to charge my closed account with a $3 fee. And since it was closed and had a zero balance it went negative. So they charged me $81 in fee and overdraft fee on a closed account. They want $81 from me. I never had a PNC account. They are attempting to extort $81 from an account I had already closed.

If you want to waste time and money then PNC is great, I have been calling and emailing with no resolution and no one calls back when they say they will. So I guess they think we are just going to be out all this money and time. Even the managers have a problem with doing their job, no wonder no one who knows how to do their job have I seen.

As a BBVA customer, I was forced to become a PNC Bank customer after they took over. I can honestly say that PNC is by far the absolute WORST bank I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, and I have done business with a lot of banks in my lifetime, as well as worked for a few. Not only do the employees of PNC simply not give a crap, but PNC also seems to have some of the worst systems I have ever seen as well. Going from BBVA to this nightmare bank has been an awful experience. FYI...don't use the debit card lock feature if you might possibly want to unlock the card at night during one of their weekly system updates. Not only does the lock/unlock option disappear for 2-3 hours during these system updates (PNC confirmed this has been a long-known issue by them), leaving you unable to use your debit card if it was locked prior to the update beginning, they also conveniently don't offer any sort of customer support during the overnight hours either.

Additionally, I can't even begin to tell you how many issues I have run into trying to utilize their online banking system. In fact, as I write this review, their online banking system is completely down. I cannot for the life of me, fathom why anyone would choose to do business with these clowns. How is this bank still in business? On top of all of this, they also have the audacity to take my once free small business checking account I had with BBVA, and now force me to start paying a monthly fee for it. They have another thing coming if they think I will ever pay a single damn dime for a vastly inferior product than what BBVA offered for free. I will most definitely be closing this account and going elsewhere ASAP. I would advise anyone considering this bank, to pick literally any other financial institution to do business with. Heck, keeping your money under your mattress is a better option than these people.

If you can do it online you are in luck. If you have to call in and the rep can't help you you are told you will received a call back with in 48 hours, good luck with that. Today I received a call back after 2 weeks, I told the rep, "Thanks but I have already remedied the problem," I'm in the process of closing my last account that I have with them. Update don 7/26/2022: PNC bank claimed to have not received our May mortgage payment. No changes had been made to our account information and there were no issues with any other payments. They charged us late fees and continually sent letters in the mail that we did not pay. We provided proof of payment, statements, and even had a conference call with our bank and PNC to prove that the funds had left our account and were not returned. After over 2 months of calls, emails, etc. they FINALLY found the error and they were 100% at fault for losing our money. The reasoning she gave didn't even make sense. I truly think they were trying to scam us out of another mortgage payment. Also they refuse to make up for the HOURS that I spent on this issue that was their fault. They said "Oops" and "Sorry there is nothing we can do for you." Unbelievable. STEER CLEAR! THIS BANK IS TRASH!!!!

Updated on 05/31/2022: I have had multiple issues with PNC bank and my mortgage. I did not have ANY issues with my mortgage payments until it was transferred to PNC bank. In the beginning they were duplicating my payments and then would not send me a refund for over 21 days. It was as if I was paying a mortgage on a home twice the amount I could afford and they refused to remedy the issue aside from taking 21 days to send me a paper check. They said the issue was resolved after it happened once, but then it happened again despite their promises that it wouldn't. Suffice to say, it put my husband and I in a very tough financial position.

After that situation, I had my bank UW-Credit Union (which is amazing!) take over paying PNC bank. Well everything was great for 6 months and now even though nothing has changed at all, PNC claims they did not receive the May payment and charged me a late fee. The "escalation specialist" argued with me over the phone and said a "stop payment" was put on the payment by my bank. I have proof of payment and that is not the case. She continued to tell me that UW Credit Union was to blame. I finally just had to hang up. This issue is still not resolved. They claim they have not been paid, even though the money (almost $2K) has left my account. It must be floating in never-never land. PNC is literally the WORST BANK EVER. No doubt about that. They need to figure it out because I've spent 3 hours on the phone with no resolve.

Original Review: PNC double charged us on our mortgage loan 2 months in a row. After I called, they assured me I would not be charged again until January to make up for the double charges. Then we were charged AGAIN in November. Our checking account was overcharged and we are paying interest on our credit card due to too much money being withdrawn from our account. They said they would expedite a check, but after 10 days I have not received it. I have called 3 separate times regarding this issue with no resolve.

WARNING!!! DO NOT BANK WITH PNC!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. PNC and BBVA are absolutely horrendous banks to deal with. They made a (an admitted) MISTAKE and froze my bank accounts. After 2 months of nearly daily emails and international phone calls, they are yet to unfreeze my accounts. They have no explanation and simply keep leading me on to think it will happen tomorrow or next week. I've had no access to my money for 2 months but luckily I also bank with another (much better) bank so I'm able to survive.

I can't imagine what I would do if I needed my money that's locked up with PNC to pay for my mortgage, car payments, and most importantly food for my family. PNC are an absolute disgrace! Their team members even agree with me that the account was wrongfully frozen but won't take the measures to fix it within an acceptable time frame.

I've been specifically dealing with a guy a who is supposedly "high up" in the rankings but is completely full of it. He's assured me he would take care of this as soon as possible and that unfreezing an account typically takes 3-5 days max. Hmmmm... 1 month later after being assigned to him and I'm still being fed a bunch of BS with no results. I'm writing this review to inform others so that no one else will have to go through what I'm dealing with now. It's horrendous and no one should wrongfully be kept from their own money. After 30 months of a spotless record as a 501c3, humanitarian non-profit account, what I encountered was shocking in the coldness of its heart. This bank is staffed with empty suits, with dollar signs for brains. To be fair, the personnel at the Audubon, Pa. branch are lovely people. They've greeted me with affection every time. This includes Tulsi, Tom and Branch Manager, Kayla.

When it came time to expand my account, as we were headed into fundraising, what's truly going on at this institution is why they call it an "institution". The bank personnel are unwilling and fully embarrassed puppets of an ice cold process that cares not one whit about WHO you are, WHAT you do, or WHETHER you stay or go.

What do I mean? After running several hundred thousand dollars through my account, not ever once incurring a fee or bouncing a check, these heartless jokers would not so much approve us for a low-level credit card. With Almighty God as my witness, I am telling the precise truth. Our spotless record ran afoul of the emptiest suits on the planet, proving that the bank personnel have precisely NO SAY WHATSOEVER in matters exceeding $50. These lovely people serve as little more than beautiful doorways to an empty and cold house. A promise to relocate after 3 years of perfection, as we headed out for a capital campaign of $2.5mm dollars, was greeted with a tired yawn. This bank is a rated LOW "B", and the stated concerns are in line with this review.

Does the front door of this igloo welcome you in? It most certainly does. That doorway, these bank employees, enjoy no more freedom than a grocery bagger does at offering you a ten-cent discount. Don't waste your time signing up for things you'll never get from these frozen-over, faceless, nameless people in the back office. I was humiliated for the crime of 30 months of paying my bills on time, every month, to the same vendors. The official reason for no credit card (one that could have capped at $5000) was "no lending history". HOW THE ** DO YOU GET LENDING HISTORY WHEN YOUR 30 MONTHS OF PERFECTION ARE SPAT UPON FOR A CREDIT CARD?

    Two things are equally true:

--I will exit this dollar sign for a brain.

--The collective yawn will be audible from 10 miles away.

Grade FFF-. This bank's only resume requirement is an empty chest where a heart never will be.

Firstly, as a former trainer in two different calls centers for two different banks, I can tell you that after chatting but talking to a variety of PNC employees, they are very poorly trained, lack confidence in the "answers" to questions I posed and have very, very poor listening skills. Usually, you can state "some" but in my experiences thus far as I am a former BBVA customer, I can correctly say all I have had the aggravating experiences in dealing with. So readers keep this in mind when choosing a bank. Banks are basically the same (online only banks excluded). The only difference between banks like PNC and its competitors is CUSTOMER SERVICE and PNC just doesn't offer any that will make you feel any better when you disconnect than when you started. In fact you will probably find yourself infuriated.

With the switchover from BBVA, my PIN wasn't working. So now, I need access to my money and a new PIN will arrive in 7 business days. Can it be overnighted? No. Are there other alternatives? No. There are no PNC branches where I live, does that count for anything? No. What can I do? I don't know. Lol. So much for contingency plans for customers.

I might add, that the hold times are unusually long. Yes everyone has a labor issue but I hope mid and upper management are enjoying their Sunday golf games. If you have a mess on your hands, makes sense to be it should be "All Hands on Deck", no? And PNC, have your trainers emphasize the importance of listening skills. Nothing can be more frustrating for a customer to explain an issue and have a re-state by your folks on something off the wall! A final suggestion folks is next time you want a new bank or forced into another, call their customer service and if you experience what I have, take a rest u til that thought passes!! I was a BBVA customer and really liked banking with them. So much so that I moved a business account to them. Then, PNC came along and the trouble began. Pre-conversion, PNC almost over-communicated to the point where the pile of letters and notices are three inches thick. I had a feeling things might be dicey when they announced that Quicken users would need a special customer ID and PIN, which would be mailed after conversion.

The day after the conversion, three of my accounts did not display in Online Banking or Mobile Banking. Also, I could not view any account activity on the Digital Wallet (checking) account. Instead, an online bill payment signup sheet displayed. Long story short, three weeks later I still do not have access to all of my accounts via Online of Mobile banking despite having called them three times (two of which resulted in the call being disconnected after an agent answered and asked me to hold). The last time I was told to visit a branch. Unfortunately, the branch is not permitted to help the customer. Instead, they complete a form and submit a request to a back office, where the request sits in queue and will be reviewed in three to five business days. Once reviewed, an online banking ID and a PIN will be mailed to me.

In 2021 it is absolutely unreasonable and unacceptable to mail an ID number and PIN to access online banking. I had access with BBVA, but apparently all customers who have business and personal accounts and who accessed them using the same online banking profile is experiencing the same issue. Meanwhile, PNC's head of public relations maintains there are no systems issues. Apparently, at PNC hanging up on customers and failing to display all of a customer's accounts is the normal course of business. I'm moving my business to Bank of America. They have their faults, but lo and behold ALL of my accounts display in online banking. What a concept.

I’ve been with BBVA for 20 years. I was sad to hear they were being taken over but tried to be patient, flexible and open during the process. Immediately it was a disaster. My accounts were inaccessible for a week. Once I received my new debit card and activated it, it worked for 24 hours before suddenly stopping, despite funds being in my account. After scouring their website, I saw no reason. There were no alerts, messages, or trouble shooting solutions. I finally found the chat box, and waited 30 minutes between responses (For over an hour and a half) with an agent who informed me that my card was locked due to “suspicious charges,” that seemed irregular and had been flagged by the fraud department, the agent suggested maybe I had traveled and “forgotten to tell them.”

I looked at the flagged charges and they were 3 online purchases (either to a “.com” company or AMAZON) and the largest was for $22.50. I expressed to the agent that these charges were not irregular and that I am concerned about their fraud department’s competency because, frankly, this was nuts. I also informed them that I travel often, and don’t want to be stuck somewhere without access to my funds because I didn’t ask my bank if I was allowed to go beforehand. I asked if there was a part of their site where you could approve flagged charges and unlock a card, they said no. They told me the card was unlocked. About an hour later, I got my nails done and passed them my card to charge $40. Declined. I had to call my husband to come to the salon and use his credit card to help me. Sat on the phone with them for another 1.5 hours to get another person to actually unlock the card, without being able to explain the failure of it being unlocked the first time.

But no, it doesn’t stop there. When the conversion happened, I noticed that my small business account wasn’t attached to my account summary. I called (2 hours this time), and had to be passed to several agents because, as best as I could interpret it… they LOST my account. We finally located it and attached it to my other accounts. That was 2 weeks ago, and this new pay cycle, I get a notification that my employee’s check has bounced. I feel terrible, go to fix the issue and guess what?? The business account is suddenly GONE AGAIN. They are now working on finding and reattaching it, they say they don't know how long it will take but "it's a priority." In the meantime, I can not pay my employee.

This acquisition of a WONDERFUL bank (BBVA) by a company with inefficient, subpar tech and poor infrastructure is irresponsible and unethical. PNC has botched this so terribly, I am furious. How many people have experienced the financial equivalent of a 20 car pileup in their day to day lives as a result of them biting off way more than they can chew??? Infuriating. Thank God I didn’t have all my eggs in one basket and still had Chime, Capital One, Varo, and my Credit Union. Has anyone else become an involuntary customer of PNC Bank when they bought out BBVA/Compass Bank? If so, I sincerely hope that you do not EVER need to contact their customer service department! Not only did they provide me with one of the worst customer service experiences of my life, but they apparently do not have a mechanism in place to file a complaint! Two different reps told that they were going to file a complaint “on (my) behalf”, and that someone should call me within 2-3 business days. That was last 8 days ago. Still no call. When I directly asked the 2nd rep how I could file my OWN complaint on my OWN behalf, she literally told me to go complain on Twitter! TWITTER?!?! Really?? Yes, really.

All I wanted to know was if a specific check had cleared that I wrote about 6 months ago. They only have the last 90 days of statements from BBVA/Compass loaded (as non-searchable PDFs) to the PNC website, and the BBVA website is shut down. I am not kidding or exaggerating when I tell you that it took over 6 1/2 hours to get an answer.

I used the chat feature on their website to text my question at 2:15 pm. They finally responded at 5:33 pm, then kept me on the chat line until 8:16 pm asking the same questions over and over, telling me they were getting a manager, then that the manager wasn’t coming, telling me they didn’t have access to that, then that they would fax it or mail it, but couldn’t give me online access, then that they couldn’t even do that, and I would have to go into a branch, etc, etc, etc…

Finally she suggested that I call their toll free number. After almost 3 hours of chatting she basically told me that I was SOL, but that she was “filing a complaint on my behalf”! I did call their toll free number and the woman who answered was very helpful and apologetic, accessed my statements from April-September and answered my question. She also said she was filing a complaint on my behalf, which I appreciate, but she’s the one who then told me to go on Twitter to file my own complaint against the bank! We got off the phone at 8:47 pm.

That’s 2:15 - 8:47 pm total. AND, 5:33 - 8:46 pm that required my active participation. I took screenshots to document all this in case anyone asked. No one did. UNACCEPTABLE!! Both reps very polite, but their sheer incompetence has me seriously considering moving my business account to another bank after almost 20 years! Avoid this bank at all cost!!

I was told there was a hold on my account. Then I was transferred to another person. Then I was told it was on hold because I missed a payment. Not so. I paid early before the switch to PNC. More research was done. It was in fact true that I paid early. The next thing I was told is that I put a hold on my own account. Not true! I moved my business accounts to BBVA about 3 months ago. The process was smooth as butter and any issues that needed resolved were minor and the bank manager had authority to fix them all. PNC buyout hit and it took me 4 DAYS to get ahold of anyone at PNC customer service to get access to my online accounts after my BBVA login info didn't work like I promised it would. I called the branch and they tried so hard to help but their own system wasn't functioning either so there was nothing they could do.

Once I finally got access to my online account, my 2 business accounts weren't linked, despite being linked when it was BBVA. So now 2 weeks after the switch over I still don't have full access to my money as I can only view one account online or with my debit card. Today, I had to go into a branch, in person, to do an in person transfer from one account to the next. My BBVA checks, that PNC also promised would work just fine until I ran out, didn't work. Awesome. The people working and managing my branch are so sweet and trying to be helpful but there's only so much they can do when the systems as a whole don't work, at all.

Plus, it seems branch manager either no longer has the authority or the working software to fix issues he'd been able to fix for me when my account was originally opened. If you don't currently back at PNC I would strongly recommend you avoid it. Phone customer service is of no help with substantial wait times (i.e 2+hours) I am seriously considering moving banks, again, because the headaches of doing so may still be less than what I'm dealing with currently.

I spent an hour driving to formally BBVA, since the online help and live customer service from PNC could not do a darn thing. I then spent 2.5 hours in the bank trying to rectify PNC debacle.

They were finally able to have 3 of my online accounts viewable, but not my car loan. I was told tie would be rectified in a few days and that I would only be able to see my car loan online. Went to pay my car loan online and guess what? No car loan showing . Now, I am suppose to go back and "enroll" in online banking, which of course, did not work either. PNC Bank is okay, but I don't think we'd use them again. They really overpromise and underdeliver. Our closing was delayed for multiple days with no communication from the our PNC Loan Representative. Luckily the sellers worked with us and the deal didn't fall through. Additionally, PNC hired an appraiser who charged $450 and PNC pocketed our $800 they charged us. The appraiser that they hired didn't even have a professional email address. This appraiser had no idea what they were doing and pulled comps from 11 months ago in a city that has experienced a 15% average annual real estate sales price increase.

We asked our PNC loan officer to help us but he was minimally (if at all) helpful in this ridiculously low appraisal. We had to cover the difference (75k dollars) last minute which was also not welcome, given the out of touch appraisal. The PNC loan agent didn't follow up with any of the issues after the closing that he said they would.

Finally, PNC sent an email out to after closing that asked for "all 10's on the review so that their personal compensation is not harmed." I sent my complaints directly to the loan officer instead of the survey, but the loan officer never responded. I feel taken advantage of by their attempts to inflate their feedback review scores and guilt their clients into giving higher scores than deserved. Other than the above issues, PNC experience was okay.

Horrible customer service, lies, they lose important paperwork etc. Claims to be "your bankers" but have bad service. This is my first experience with PNC and I am not impressed. To make payments to our auto loan, we have the option of paying online, or mailing a check. I have paid everything online for years, so attempted to utilize that option. However, things have not gone well. After two failed attempts to pay through the portal, (payment made and then reversed a week later) I received a phone call to collect the late payment, late fee, and next months payment. I paid the late payment only. Found out later, I will be charged $7.00 to pay by phone. So, for the next payment, I attempted to pay from my bank (Chase) to PNC. The payment went through but the next day two pending payments are shown. One that seems to have been initiated from Chase and one initiated from PNC!

I had checked to see if any payments were scheduled in the PNC portal and it said none. Not sure why there is a duplicate payment pending. This has been very troublesome, just to make a simple auto loan payment online. I like auto withdrawals, but don't feel confident to try that. Guess I will go back to mailing a check in a week before the due date. Haven't done that in years.

Lost my job due to Covid. Called to see what options they offer for my HELOC. Best offer made for me was to pay 50% of my payments for 3 months with balance due added as a balloon. I agreed to the terms. Subsequently sent me a letter, after making my payments as agreed, that the terms have changed and now the remaining 50% deferred was due at the end of the deferment period. Talked to several managers about why they changed the rules of the game after it started, and they tell me that can’t offer anything to help me with the other 50%… it and the late fees are now due. It’s clear to me they care more about their investors and not their customers who make their payments on time for years. So BEWARE - they may make you a verbal offer but change the terms later.

Normally I would say accidents happen BUT my sister's loan was sold to them at the same time and the exact same thing happened to her almost a month ago. She is still waiting on her refund!!! After calling them to complain we were told they have to hold the money for a certain number of days before refunding it. A mortgage payment is not a small amount of money. In my opinion they should have to return my money to me within 24 hours since it was their mistake. This is obviously something they do on a normal basis. I have already called my mortgage company to request a refinance immediately. If you must use PNC, Do not let them auto deduct your payment. They cannot be trusted!!

My bank policy doesn't state that PNC is supposed to do anything like that but it does say on none business days, ATM check deposits I would be allowed to withdraw a $100 of that check if it's under $50,000 I was not able to do that is well. I signed up in the late 90s, early 00s. The reason for my change is my existing bank would charge ATM fees on ATM's not owned by my bank at the time. They had a handful of locations but wanted me to pay for not having the infrastructure anywhere else. PNC doesn’t charge ATM fees. Third party ATM’s could still charge you but it’s never happened to me. After switching and the amount of times I used ATM’s it was certainly worth the time investment making that change. For over a decade, things went pretty well. That in itself needed to be said because these days it’s pretty rare you can say that about business, seriously that has a lot of value.

Once banking fraud and security became a thing, PNC didn’t hold up on rolling with the changes. I was one of millions that was compromised from a data leak from Home Depot. That is not fault of the bank. But I discovered this as I was attempting to pump fuel, I was at work (traveling consultant). PNC refused to allow me to access my money or use the card in any way to purchase fuel regardless of the situation I found myself in. I was stranded, it was real bad. I had to call my boss and communicate that I need a ride and money, I’m not allowed to buy fuel per PNC. Also, the emergency I was headed too, you will need to pull someone off another job and cover because I can’t even make it home. Don’t think I need to paint a picture on how that went or how it felt working there moving forward. Certainly doesn’t come off as reliable/dependable employee does it?

I left PNC as a result. I returned 6 years later. After the replacement bank was bought for the 4th time just in the last year and a half, having to come in every couple months to update paperwork and dispute policy changes designed to be predatory I had enough. Been with PNC another 7 years. I haven’t had any fraudulent things occur on my account to test if the process has been improved. However, I did have to perform a charge back. I was ripped off on a purchase. The person I worked with at PNC was excellent at communicating the documentation I needed and things to look for that are important to include. PNC reimbursed me on the spot temporarily until investigation was complete. PNC confirmed my side of the story. It was quite a simple and easy experience. I appreciate that.

However for the last six years I had a lot of trouble accessing my money to the point it’s no longer practical to continue to use PNC. At least without at least a thirty minute phone call minimal to have an online banking password reset. It’s important to note I’m an I.T professional. This is relevant because most of my day is spent resetting passwords. Needless to say I document all my passwords to an excel sheet. Outside of needing a password reset once in 2001 for an old e-mail account I’ve never needed to have a password reset. Enter PNC Bank, Destroyer of online banking access.

Any device, any browser, any time. Never can get in. Type in the username and password absolutely correct. Even type it in to Notepad first to ensure no characters have been added. Account always locked or communicate the username or password is incorrect. Sometimes it will ask you for the last 4 of your social and send you a pin. Despite the information also being correct I never receive the text and it tells me the last four on my social is wrong. Did double check with the bank and they have my Social number correct along with right phone number.

The thirty minute investment is making the call to have it reset. Once reset it will work for about two weeks max. After that always the same. This has occurred over a six year period so many times I’ve had this conversation with PNC in excess of twenty times. Went so far to raise hell about it enough to start getting phone calls back about it. “We're looking into it, etc.” But nothing was ever resolved or followed up on.

Only once was I taken seriously, all chalking it up as “He must have forgot”. After three attempts the account is locked. It just so happened that after my account was reset it was locked immediately again while on the phone with them before I had the chance to sign on. It was believed someone was attempting to login to my account so we changed the username. We changed it to something pretty strange so the likelihood of anyone guessing a username like that would be pretty extreme. Still continued to happen, no access without a thirty minute + phone call each and every time.

Outside the frustration factor what’s that like in 2021? Someone drops a check off. Can't use mobile deposit with online banking, you receive a stimulus, hope you have at least thirty minutes. The worst case I had to rush to the gas station to get money orders because the car carrier uses a mainstream app to process the service but it required me to sign on to PNC online banking. All those things you can forget about, never going to happen. It’s simply not available. Technically it could be for a few days until someone or something locks it. In terms of what’s happening with PNC technical issues I have a few ideas due to my trade but it's only speculation.

If you don’t need access to online banking, honestly PNC is a pretty solid choice. My experience here has been pretty great on that front. However any technology changes such as online banking or new features if you depend on those things it’s not a practical choice. The time investment of thirty plus minutes each time and the hurdles required wouldn’t be so bad if it was a once a year thing instead of a weekly.

I’ve opened up a new account at a new bank. I’m still testing it. But thus far, week three I was able to sign on using both my phone and PC and always have access to my account so far. PNC the password reset lasted three days, I’ve had it last up to two weeks but it’s rare. In the next week or two when I have time I have to make the visit to PNC to close my accounts and move it to the new bank. Real chore getting all the accounts setup again for auto billing and direct deposit, etc. It really is a shame on the technology front. It has gone unresolved for six years and isn’t on the radar as a priority. That’s the pros and cons of PNC from a long time customer. I wrote this intended to send it via e-mail to PNC but they don’t have an email address available, guess if you have to wait at least a half hour it's a compelling gate keeper of communication to cut down the work. But again the issue is always disregarded.

PNC Bank through its Vice President, Business Banker Yousof Alam fraudulently lied to me as I had applied for the PPP loan for my business. I had applied based on the SBA formula and arrived at a low amount. He called me and informed me that I was actually approved for more funds than I had applied for. I told him that based on SBA's guideline that my application was correct. He insisted that I was actually approved for more.

He asked me to redo my application, I informed him that it was not possible as the site was not letting apply again. So he sent me an email of a blank application form to fill out. Unfortunately I can't upload the documents here, you guys would have seen the difference between the two application forms. Now that it's time to apply for forgiveness, PNC bank is now telling that the extra amount that I got due to Yousof Alam will now be turned into a loan from PNC bank. The issue is that I have already used the amount to pay my staff for 24 weeks as against 12 weeks. If he had gone with my original application, I would have paid my staff for 12 weeks. Now they want me to own a Loan with them for their mistake. And They had collected commission for the higher amount, which was why they fraudulently lied and pushed people to take higher amounts. I don't have the money to go to court or hire a lawyer, but will gladly sell my house to fight this.

I probably can't fit all the information on here but it did not show I found out that my bank has been overdrafting fees on things that should have never gone through in the first place for 7 years. And when I brought this up to them an associate literally acted like I didn't even ask a question and said, "Well you're protected now." And then I asked again, "What about the past several years that I should not have been having this happen." And once again he said exactly the same thing, "You are protected now."

I ended up getting ahold of the branch manager and talking with her on the phone and this was a couple weeks later when another overdraft came out and she had to explain to me why it was happening now I believe they're at the time but the next day realized that there's no way that she was right and what she said so I went in and asked her again why a specific charge took away my grace period to bring the account back up to zero or why that charge even went through in the first place.

She insisted on having our meeting in front of Oliver and employees and she was extremely rude. You did exactly the same thing when I asked her about it. Basically told me I had money in there but didn't but I didn't get charged a fee for that so I shouldn't be mad about it, completely missing the point that whether or not I was charged to fee for that one I was charging to feed the next day and I wasn't allowed to grace period to bring it back up to zero because of the previous drop below zero.

I called customer service. They actually were pretty helpful and then they set up a call with escalation department. She called about 2 Days later and was immediately on the attack. She was trying to tell me several things that I knew weren't true at the time but I didn't have all the information in front of me. I checked later and yeah she was lying to me and then she was acting like a child. She wouldn't let me finish telling the story of how I was treated by the associate and branch manager. Kept interrupting to ask very off topic questions and that would bring me to another topic point and then she complained that I was skipping around when she was doing the skipping.

Our conversation ended with her yelling at me like a three year old telling me to apparently give her seven years of financial data that I should have on hand and ready to give her which she had on her computer anyway. She got me the time I wasn't able to log into my account and I'm looking at the statements that she was telling me. They were all ACH payments which would have gone through and would have been legitimate, but they weren't. It's the thing is they were debit card swipes which I keep getting told over and over do not get charged because they would be declined. That was not true. There's one from a gas station and there's another one that was disputed but somehow that was gleamed over by her.

And I could tell right away she was just trying to get me worked up. It worked for sure but see it was her job in my opinion to make somebody mad enough to where they wouldn't want to sue because I have not yet spoken to one person on there except one of the nice customer service ladies that there's definitely something fishy going on and not all overdraft charges are my fault. In fact most of them aren't.

I am constantly getting error messages and having to log in multiple times before it finally lets me in. Sometimes for weeks at a time I will have to answer my security question before it lets me in.. even after checking the box to say "remember this device". When you log into your account every day to check on things this all becomes quite a hassle. Fix your website!!

Next, I've had multiple things screwed up over the years, anywhere from addresses changes getting messed up on my accounts, to home equity loan payments being misapplied and then having to essentially make a double payment the same month due to the bank's error.. Sometimes customer service reps are helpful, other times they are useless. Very inconsistent.

The last straw for me and the reason I will be switching banks is because of what happened to me today. Tried to pay a contractor with Zelle (first time using). Not realizing that only my husband's information was being used, I entered the wrong PIN (mine) when I went to submit payment. It locked me out immediately, would not even let me try a second time with the correct PIN. Called 800 number, was informed that my husband would need to call to have Zelle unlocked. Um, excuse me?? This is a joint account in which MY name and MY information are both on and yet I cannot unlock my own account to access my own money, my HUSBAND has to call?? As a result, I now have interest charges. I pay my outstanding bill in full each and every month.

I called the customer support today and was told that it was their policy to hold a check for 10 days before cashing it. What??!! This was not their policy 3 months ago. My check cleared within 7 days of my bank mailing the bill pay statement. This of course means that my payment is now late, even though it usually arrived 3-4 days ahead of the due date. Is this something that is okay to do to the public consumer? I will be contacting the regulatory commission to further investigate. I feel that this is just a way for PNC to rack up a profit by delaying the cashing of my checks to pay my monthly statement.

She said it could take 5 - 7 business days. If you haven't gotten it by Friday call and we will see about what can be done to replace check.

I called in Friday when check did not arrive. Now I am being told it is in the mail. I live 1 mile from the bank the Cashiers Check was mailed from. It cannot take more than 2 weeks to get it. I then talked to the lady I spoke to the first time. She got my phone number said she would call me back. I waited 3 hours and then called them back. They said she didn't call me back because she was at lunch. I was upset, the young man got upset with me because I said I have been lied to and I didn't want to here I know it is frustrating. He finally said give me your phone number and I will have management call you. Of course I never heard from anyone. Every time I have needed help from them they have never got back in touch with me.

I thought I would be getting my stimulus payment on the 1/1/21 like most people did, so I decided to pay a couple of things that would post to my account on the 2nd. I am terrible at spending money from my checking account, so I figured it would be best to have the payments come out the day after the stimulus was deposited into my account. I then found out that I was caught up in the fiasco that was a miscommunication between the IRS and certain tax preparation services when I unfortunately didn’t receive the stimulus on time. That caused my bank account to go into the negative and I was charged a total of $180 in overdraft fees. After I found out that I would finally be getting it on the 8th, I was very happy to see that for customers who were in my situation with a negative account, PNC would be issuing a temporary credit to assure them that they would have access to the entire $600.00.

After I received my payment at the end of the day on the 8th (a Friday), I noticed that I didn’t get the temporary credit. When I called to inquire as to why, I was at first told “Yeah unfortunately we stopped doing that”. After I told the representative that I was looking at the article on the PNC site and reading the information to her word for word and it did not give any indication that they had “stopped” giving customers access to their entire stimulus payment. After going back and forth for a moment she changed her tune and stated that the system would update overnight and that it should be there in the morning and if it wasn’t to just call back in and they would take care of it. She also said that someone from client relations would call me as well. I waited until Monday to call back and when I did, I could never have predicted what I was told.

The client relations representative from that day said that since my stimulus payment came from the tax preparer and not the IRS I wouldn’t be getting the temporary credit. When I reminded her that I wasn’t asking for anything other than what the PNC site said that I would get, which was something that every other customer in my situation got, she acted as if I were asking for something illegal. I wasn’t even asking for a refund of my overdraft charges, as I was the one who made the mistake of setting up payments to go through before I actually saw the stimulus money. All she kept saying was that she understood my situation and that she was sorry.

What’s sorry is a bank advertising a temporary credit for those customers whose account is in the negative, so that they have access to their full stimulus amount as if were a check cashed, but then not following through with that credit. Even worse is telling the customer “sorry” and “I understand your situation, but there’s nothing we can do” when the customer tells you that he will have even more fees due to being left out of the bank’s solution in error. It isn’t even like I was really getting anything from them, it was a temporary credit issued for only a 30 day period. Seems to me that they would want to take care of their customers, especially when it costs them nothing. Unless it makes more business sense to try and get as many overdraft fee charges as they can from someone. Seems obvious to me!

I have nothing but issues with this bank. I am a PNC customer, my employer is a PNC customer and they still put a hold on a computer generated payroll check! I have never seen such absurdity. They charge their own customers a 1% fee to make funds available for immediate withdrawal on a counter or ATM deposit. And the latest and best one yet.... a hold for my IRS stimulus direct deposit. The deposit was available until approximately 3:30am on 1/1/21. I tried to pay a bill later that morning and the payment was declined. Knowing, or thinking I had sufficient funds in my account, I went to the app only to discover my direct deposit from the IRS was now dated for 1/4/21 and no longer available. I checked it again later in the day, evening now, and the deposit is now dated 12/31/20 but I still do not have access to my money. I regret ever making the move from Chase to PNC but since I moved to Indiana I assumed PNC would logistically make more sense. That was a bad decision on my part.

I went through a mortgage process with PNC on Nov 2020 and I have to say it was the worst experience ever. I normally don’t write reviews but I thought it would be prudent of me to do this and warn other consumers. It took 45 days to close with heavy babysitting on my end. On average, I had to send 2-3 follow up emails to even get a response. The loan processor quit a week before our scheduled close and no handoff was done with our file so no one knew what was going on.

In summary, customer service was non-existent, employees were not properly trained and lacked knowledge and professionalism, communication was terrible and very much lacking. I experienced everything you don’t want to deal with when closing on a house. I was offered similar competitive rates by Chase and so in the future, I will never bank with PNC again and highly advise other consumers not to do so. PNC management - I implore you to look into improving your internal processes and better training for your employees.

There were 3 workers in the bank, having a good time so distracted with each other that instead of giving me a new business card, those workers (I really want to say something else) cancelled my old card from my personal account and gave me a new personal card. I did not feel the need to check. I was the ONLY customer and there were 3 of them. I did not realize the mistake until I tried to use my personal card for a purchase. It is really embarrassing to have your card declined in a line at the store.

I called the branch back and she said she was sorry, PNC yes your worker was not SORRY. She IS SORRY. I was the ONLY customer and they had one thing to do. I was told, "Well we have a branch in Granite Falls," and how does that help me right now. I neither have the time or patience. They were doing NOTHING at the time I went. I am so over PNC. On my next opportunity I will be closing both my personal and my business account. I even have a text feature that will show me how much is currently in my account or if I have gone under a certain amount. PNC has charged me a overdraft 2 times this week due to their system. It would show I have a positive balance in my account, I check my account every morning and evening, I have a text to Let me know if I’m under an amount and I have overdraft protection! But no! PNC sent me at text saying my account was overdrawn 12 dollars! I didn’t spend anything yesterday and I had a positive balance in my account.

This bank is full of crooks! And instead of fixing the problem the bank will tell you to keep a check book balance. Why?? When I should trust my bank to show me my correct balance. Don’t say I have money in my account and then then around and charge me an overdraft fee! If I knew last night that my account was going to be overdrawn I would’ve transferred money to my account. Firstly, let me say that the branch employees and customer service reps have tried to be helpful. Unfortunately, they are hamstrung by a bloated and incompetent infrastructure. I have been trying to wrap up my deceased uncle’s affairs with PNC for over a month now. I submitted the probate documents and, after 3 weeks, started asking the branch personnel what was happening. I was told they had to resubmit the paperwork. After that, the branch told me they hadn’t followed the proper procedure (apparently they didn’t know the proper procedure) and I would have to snail mail it to the legal department directly. Every person son in every department said “I’m sorry. This must be so frustrating, but there’s nothing I can do in this department.” So what department can help? Nobody knew.

To make a long story short, I still haven’t resolved this issue. I’m sure that if all you do is let them make money by holding your money, and occasionally you write a check, you’ll be happy with PNC. But anything that involves competence and communication will leave you frustrated and angry. Want to be happy? Bank local. Interstate behemoths like PNC are too bloated to provide actual customer service. And as an aside, if you call “retail escalation” it won’t get any better. It appears that their training simply involves listening patiently and then telling you that there’s nothing they can do.

The initial rate of exchange offered over the phone appeared attractive. A week later, when I opened my MM account, it was lower by 20%. Without lobby services and with only two branches in KC, each entailing half an hour drive each way, PNC is useless if you do need lobby or even drive through services within a reasonably short drive. There are no checking account fees as long as I have a minimum balance of $2,000 a month or $2,000 worth of direct deposits.

The second checking is a reserve checking that builds its own interest like the savings account does. I can deposit checks virtually by taking pictures of the front and back of checks. There is no fee for cashiers checks either. It’s a $18 for new checks which is for standard checks. They can make you a new debit card on-site in case it is lost or stolen (or in my case, someone makes a duplicate by way of a card reader). Their app is convenient and someone is always available 24-7 if you call 1(800) PNC bank. I switched to PNC over a decade ago when a commerce bank employee was buying stuff online with my bank account number and they accused me of stealing my own money. Best decision I ever made honestly, I haven’t looked back. It sounds weird to say this, but if it’s possible to love a bank then I definitely do love PNC.

We have always experienced great customer service over the years of banking with PNC. We really like their virtual wallet product and ability to handle everything we need online or through the mobile app. We haven't had to visit a branch in years. We also like that they will reimburse you for non-PNC atm fees, so you never have to go out of your way to find a PNC branded ATM.

They are a skeleton of a bank.. They always have just a few people operating the bank and never seem to be the same ones. Some of the people there are not very professional. If you have a problem there everything is by the book with no one that can really make a decision if you are in a situation where you are in a grey area. It's like a computer runs the bank and no one person is in charge...

I had set up a business checking account for an LLC about 2 or 3 years ago. Was busy with other successful businesses (with other banks) but this one didn't take. Had deposited $1100+ in the checking and instructed them to change mailing address to my home. Called and double checked for the address change and they confirmed the proper address, "No problem" they said. Wrote no checks nor did I deposit anything--was extremely busy with other businesses and basically, forgot about it.

A year and a few months later, I thought about the bank and not receiving the statements and called. They were sending to the old address! Turns out they were charging me a "non-use fee" every month that totaled up to over the $1100 I had deposited so I was actually overdrawn by $70!! Since they had my phone and my email, I asked them why they had not bothered to contact me out of professional courtesy to remind me about these outrageous deductions? "Well, we were sending you statements every month so thought you knew..."

I complained and they were kind enough to remove the $70 I "owed". They never took responsibility for failing to change my mailing address in spite of their agreement to do so let alone not contacting me by email or phone. Guess profits were too good for them. I cannot speak to their other departments but would advise anyone reading this to tread with much caution before dealing with their business section.

Hi. My name is Dave. I own a small business and have banked with PNC for over 13 years. I have watched their integrity and service go down hill and become one of the worst banks we have ever dealt with. I have closed out our accounts and have moved all our business banking over to Choice One bank. PNC bank has given me confirmation numbers for payments we have made on time then reported them late. We had to send all our documents to the three credit agencies to clear up our credit score with no help from PNC. During Covid they took our payment on our credit line with our debt card on time, also gave us a confirmation number that the payment was received and processed. Then reported us late yet again.

After numerous calls I finally got a call back from their internal complaint department representative Ashley **. What a calloused uncaring cold individual. She stated it was not their responsibility to tell us or to call us back and let us know that they could not take a debit card for payment (even though they gave us a confirmation number). She also indicated that I gave the debt card knowing it would not be processed to avoid payment. Who in their right mind owning a business that has 8 employees would do that. I totally lost it. I'm not proud of it but that was the first time in many many years I that I was pushed to the point of calling someone a ** nightmare. Absolutely the worst bank to deal with. The worst complaint department to get any resolution from. I got off the phone and I felt like I had been fleeced. Any small business thinking about doing business or banking with PNC, don't. You will live to regret it.

I thought a bank is where you keep your your money not let it sit and have the bank steal it and refuse to give you your money you worked for, not them. I’ve argued with people on the phone and in the bank, you’re all garbage! Lying pieces trash! I want my money. This is so wrong. Maybe if I get a lawyer I can get my money back. Additionally, to open your online access you have to have a Pin they issue you. I spent from Jan-June calling in because they said the only way I could get this Pin was via snail mail and they never sent the documents or at least not to me. Finally after I saw the dig on my credit I called in again and the guy just gave it to me over the phone which all the other said they could not do under any circumstances.

I'm not sure what's going on with the Organization but this has been the worst experience I have ever had with a credit card or bank. I wanted to consolidate a small amount of credit card debit $3,000 and now my credit is fucked. PNC bank doesn't care. Do not under any circumstances sign on with these people. I have never had a easy or good experience with customer service, most of the time the response I get is “deal with it”. This company thinks increased security is blocking customers' access to their own money. No, security is putting money into technology and ideas and that create a safer environment. But every time I make a purchase it is ALWAYS deducted from my balance. On other occasions over the weekend, my balance is correct. I feel like they pick and choose when they want to say it’s posted. My question is why does my transaction reflect on my balance but on Monday you want to say it haven’t posted. Scammers. I’m putting all my payroll back with State Employees Credit Union. I received my replacement debit card and when I logged into my account, I saw a $7.50 debit card replacement fee on my checking account. My mortgage is through PNC Bank and I have had nothing but trouble when my loan was purchase by them. Within a few months, my monthly payment amount increased by over $100 with no warning, even though I have a fixed rate. Their website to make online payments is a joke. I have to reset my password every single time even though I know it's right. Even after resetting, it still does not work and you get an error message. EVERY time.

Now, let's get to the loan forbearance program they offer during COVID-19. They will allow you to defer your payments for 90 days then pay the entire lump sum at the the end of the 90 days plus the current month's payment. That's 4 months of mortgage payments all at once. This is their idea of a relief program? How in the world is that supposed to help anyone? If I had money to cover 4 months worth of mortgage payments then I wouldn't need forbearance, now would I? When asked if the payments can go to the end of the loan period they said no. The rep on the phone said to use the stimulus check to pay the lump sum mortgage payment. How ridiculous!

The stimulus check cannot cover a lump sum of this magnitude! And everyone does not get a stimulus check. How is it their place to advise what to do with one's stimulus check, anyway? How unprofessional. I can't wait to refinance my mortgage with a different lender. I will NOT give one more penny to a socially unconscious organization like PNC. I paid my line of credit payment on 3/4, it was due 3/10. PNC posted it to a suspense account for some unknown reason. I noticed this when I got my statement on 3/24. I immediately called them as it said I was $707 past due and owed $1414 on the next payment. After an hour and a half on the phone, being transferred to 3 people, and all 3 were rude, I was told PNC would correct their error in 3-5 days and I would get a call. No call came.

I called back and was told the error was not corrected and they hadn’t posted my payment. Now it would take another 7 days. I waited and called back on 4/6 to inquire as my payment for 4/10 for $707 is due in 4 days and need to pay it. They still haven’t posted my payment from 3/4, they’ve held it in suspense for 33 days, and admit none of my previous calls generated a request to move the payment from suspense into my account. Now, it’s going to be another 5 days! This is incompetence. I’ve spent hours and hours of my time notifying PNC of their error of which they haven’t corrected it!
