Chime sucks. I submitted my tax return through Chime and the federal return was rejected due to incorrect direct deposit information. I tried to fix it through Chime and the website says internal error and to contact support. I contacted their support three times and at first they told me to call the IRS, so I did. They couldn't locate the return, so I called back Chime and then they told me to contact you. All I need to do is update my routing number for my direct deposit and it has taken me hours of going back and forth with no help. Their team is hard to understand and it is near impossible to even get a real person on the phone in the first place. I asked multiple times to speak to a supervisor and they kept making excuses and finally when they said they would get one, I was put on hold and then was hung up on. Actually ridiculous and all over something that is a simple error. I should have just paid the money to file through Turbo Tax.

I had an order that canceled from Hibbett sports back on March 26. When I spoke with Hibbett couple days later they explain that the authorization hold would be processed back to my account within 3 to 7 business check with my back. I waited a little longer to call and when I spoke with the 1st representative they said they did not see anything contact Hibbett. Contacted Hibbett. They gave me the code 055315. Said was released on the 31 of March. I reached out to Chime. The rep told me that they then saw a hold that was pending and should fall off within 3 to 5 business and should be seen in the account. Here it is the 14th of April and no funds in my account.
Reached out again to chime and was told that they do not see anything from Hibbett once again. Now I'm upset and wants to speak with supervisor but had to disconnect because work call came in. Reached out again. Got a different rep and he first told me the same thing as was told before which was the pending charging from April 3rd and give it 5 to 7 business days. Right before he was about to get me off the line I told him I was already told that and it's been 7 days. Still do not see my 133.75. He placed me on hold. Came back saying it was processed into my account and should have seen it around the time my account left out of negative.
I then became upset because said wasn't in there now saying it is from a day I added funds from another account because had a bill due transferred money from my PayPal account. Told him since wanna give me the run around about my money. I will be doing a complaint because I have been waiting on my funds. No one at chime can explain to me where my money. Instead wanna rush me off like I'm dumb or do not know any better.

I had to pay a 1,600$ deposit to my new apartment which I was in a rush to move in, the customer service gave me info how to do that since the limit is 1,000 daily to upload, I was told to add a 1,000$ on my debit card then add the 500$ and then the 100$ onto my credit builder card and I found a 24/7 711 store at the airport in Portland Oregon and was able to PAY MY SECURITY DEPOSIT THAT NIGHT. I opened account in 2023. It seemed great in the beginning. Well I've just had my first and Last dispute with them. My friend has Cash App, I tried sending her 12 dollars. I did something wrong and she never received it. I contacted Chime right away and was told that my friend has a Chime account and it was delivered to her?.. I kept saying No she doesn't have an account there. But the rep refused to listen or help me. And said there was nothing they could do it was delivered to right person. I asked to speak with Supervisor and was told that They would tell me the same thing as she did. I said there must be someone with the same name can you check?, She said no it's her, who you sent it too. I hung up and filed a dispute the next morning. I just received their response and I was denied!! I can't believe it, they are rude, impolite, and dishonest
They are Thieves!!! Don't do business with them. They won't have your back if things go wrong and won't give you back, What is rightfully yours. Customers like myself aged, disabled and on a fixed income will be Wronged by them and taken advantage of. They don't care about you. Their reps are cold, and just unhelpful the company is crooked. I be been a customer with Chime for a few years and in those years I still haven’t received a debit card, in years. There’s no excuse for this service and I’m still waiting. I wouldn’t even rate this company/service, it’s that bad along with their customer support. It’s absolutely ridiculous that I’m going through this issue along with other issues and nothing is getting resolved.

Chime's security procedures have severely impacted my ability to access my funds. After breaking my phone and losing my wallet (including my ID), I was locked out of my account as the app requires phone number verification. I was informed that I needed a valid ID to regain access. Upon receiving a temporary replacement driver's license, I contacted Chime, verified my identity, and explained that the permanent ID would take 2-3 weeks to arrive. Despite this, Chime has refused to grant me access to my account.
This lack of access has resulted in significant financial distress. My rent is now overdue, and I lack funds for essential needs as my paycheck is directly deposited into my Chime account. Furthermore, I received conflicting information from Chime representatives. Initially, I was told that a picture of my temporary ID would suffice for access. However, after providing the picture, I was informed this was incorrect, and I was given an apology for the misinformation from a supervisor. I was then told I could verify my identity over the phone and receive information about my account, but I would still be unable to conduct transactions, transfer funds, or pay bills due to the inability to access the app.
Adding to these issues, approximately three weeks ago, I reported an unauthorized transaction while I was out of state. Despite giving Chime the information that I was out of state, and without any further verification, they still sent replacement cards to the out-of-state address I provided them. Alarmingly, they did not request any ID verification when sending these new cards to this address, directly contradicting the strict security measures they are now using to deny me access to my own funds. This inconsistency in their security measures demonstrates a clear lack of reliable and logical protocols. Chime's rigid policies, inconsistent communication, and apparent disregard for the urgent financial situations of their customers are unacceptable. I strongly advise caution when considering Chime for banking services due to their seemingly arbitrary and flawed security practices.

I have banked with Chime for about 7 years. I never really had any issues that could not be fixed until yesterday. On yesterday I made deposit of 300 on my card to shop with. The load posted to my account then chime withdrew it. My chime app relex the adjustment yet chime still denied it. I have my receipts from Walgreens confirming the payment posted successfully. So basically chime is pointing the finger at Walgreens and vice verse. Chime is not a traditional bank so you can’t walk into a branch to speak with someone. So if both parties are denying that it’s not their fault. Who do we go to? I am out of 300 dollars and no one can give me an explanation. These companies are allowed to take our money with no consequences. I will not be doing business with chime ever again.

Opening a Chime account has been the worst decision I have ever made. I received Social Security Disability with my payment date on the 3rd of each month. I have spoken with Social Security and have the tracking number for the deposit, but Chime has not credited this deposit and has given me conflicting information each 4 times I have called them about this. The lastest they are telling me it has to go through their process and cannot tell me when it will be credited to my account.
Mind you I am to receive this payment on the 3rd of each month and have never had a problem until today, and trying to work with Chime and get a valid reason why they are keeping my money had been a nightmare. The fact that I am on disability means I'm on a limited income and due to Chime's refusal to credit my account the money they have received has me having late fee charges on bill payments, inability to pay my rent or buy groceries. This is beyond unacceptable practices by Chime. I will be ending my relationship with Chime May 1st, and filing complaints and conferring with an attorney regarding their practices and the problems they have cost me. I'm happy I recorded the conversations I had with Chime so that I can prove the contraindications in what they told me. I highly recommend not banking with Chime as they are dishonest in all aspects and out of the blue you may find yourself dealing with the same or similar problems

Chime unsecured destroyed my credit. I added a direct deposit to it of about $400 a month which was just a small portion of my overall pay. Experian looked at that $400 as if it was my entire pay because Chime could not link to my main checking account at my credit union. Out of that $400, I set up about $100 in automatic payments from Chime and transferred the rest to my credit union checking account. Chime and Experian used that to pretend that my entire income was going to debtors (i.e., this guy has $400 coming and going each month to bills).
In addition, the three or four automatic payments I added to Chime provided one 30-point boost which was gone the very next month because the age of those accounts was now considered too new. Therefore my total boost by the second month was zero. Obviously Chime and Experian have arranged this scam to coerce you into adding your entire direct deposit and all your bills to them. Meanwhile, there are many much better banks and credit unions available. I advise you to skip Chime and Experian.

A little education and customer service would have been nice as I was with them for years but instead, I got a letter saying my account was closed for reasons they don't have to disclose. Very disappointing and they are now negatively impacting my credit for years to come. Far better banks and ways to build credit than Chime. Their communication was terrible; I could barely understand them, yet I clearly heard them chuckling in the background. The rudeness was beyond unprofessional. If you value decent customer service, stay far away from Chime. Trying to get a simple issue resolved feels like pulling teeth, and half the time, they either give conflicting information or just ignore your concerns altogether. I have used Chime for many years, I like the app very much. It has the Spot Me feature which is great, it's $75 which allows you to overdraw to cover your purchase and just found out you can withdraw from the ATM. Now however my pay could be better. After a while of direct deposits, they allow you to get "advances" which is always great BUT they only put $9 or $12 on each day so it takes 3 days before you can touch it because you must have $20 to withdraw. They do this because they charge a $2 fee if you NEED it instantly, so they are getting rich off the $2 fee each and every time.
They know we are poor so we will need it by 3 days. Why make something available and have a $20 limit to withdrawal when they only deposit $9, $7 then the remaining of the $20. Why not just put the whole $20 on there in the first place, oh I forgot, it's all about their $2 instant fee charge or the option to wait a whole 24 hours for free but again we are poor and need it right then.

Chime is not the best choice unless you have no other choice! So I have banked with Chime for four years and I'm currently looking for a better bank. Chime debit card is functional but their credit card isn't worth the hassle. It's not accept at an overwhelming amount of places. It can't be use to rent a car, or for payment option no other institutions trust them. The my pay option is a set up. It will give you a larger amount based on what income you have going in but the problem with this is after you pay them back you will not have that full balance available again it allows you to take it out in small increments. So let say you income tax comes in chime will boost your balance to let's say for the sake of the example $500 now when your regular pay check come in they are going to take their $500 back and then make it available in your my pay.
So the next time they take the $500 it will be available again but this time it's not the whole $500 it's been decreased to $425 and you can only pull it out in increments of 25 unless you wait until two or three weeks for the total $425 to be available. So bottom line don't count on the money you borrow for bills unless the can wait until close to your next pay period. If you're on a fix income please don't fall for you'll find yourself in a serious bind. I'm not going to attempt to talk about the spot me. It's not worth the time.

As a result, transfer was directed to the hacker’s account instead of mine. The scammer manipulated the system, replacing the linked external bank account with their own, leading to unauthorized transfer from my Chime account directly into their account. I used Chime for four years straight, and never had any issue. Until somebody went on an unauthorized shopping spree with my debit card. Chime's fraud prevention system caught most of the charges, but there was one they did not catch. I don't know how chime can reasonably suggest that some of the charges made on this random website are fraudulent, but the other charges that were made on this website at the exact same time are not. Clearly, if a $600 rental car was fraud, so is the $300 hotel room made a few minutes later. When I filed the dispute, I thought it was odd how chime was giving me the third degree. Well hindsight is 2020 and now I understand why they were doing that.
Chime makes their money by keeping yours. That's what they do. As long as you never have fraud on your account, chime is a great alternative to a bank. But just remember, if anybody ever drains the money out of your account, chime will not pay it back willingly. And you don't have to believe me. Just Google "chime disputes." Unfortunately, they have a long history of shady business practices. Do yourself a favor, before the you know what hits the fan, just go ahead and switch to a bank that has a little less fraud in their history. So this month I'm thinking, I'm going to get the whole 280 again for Christmas time.
It's back to where they issue me out $20 at a time and advance me $280 but every time it's 20 or more. All of their promises with get paid early, build credit etc. They just want your direct deposit and in my case, the money just "disappeared", they have no record at all of my direct deposit. My employer has confirmed with me the account and routing number repeatedly. I have a record of the deposit being made to them 5 days ago. According to them, nothing. Never received. No record of the same. Their customer service is terrible. I have yet to find anyone who can even answer a simple question. Don't be fooled by their commercials of the ease of banking with them. In my case, my money just never showed up. Nothing has been resolved.

My poor daughter opened an account with Chime. She works gigs so she has her money go into the Chime account From this temp job there was $8K sent to her account over the period of 3 months I believe. There was something wrong with the atm card and she asked them to reset the password, which they never did. Then she asked them to send her another card, same address, provided ID and all. This was January 2023. Someone called from Chime in February 2023 promising to closed the account and mail her money. Never did. And to this day has never heard from Chime. There is no phone number and they will not respond online in the chat room.
I do not know where they get the people for CS. Called the bank that is associated with Chime and they said you have to work with Chime. Of course, they get to keep the money in their bank. This caused me hardship because I had to cover her bills. This is not right how these platforms treat customer. They do not try to satisfy or solve the issues with folk's money. It is now end of 2024 which is 2 years and this matter has not been taken care of. Chime should be ashamed. I don't care if it is 10 people complaining about service, that is 10 too many.

I am rejecting this response because: I am very unhappy with the results and this case. Just a sixth times that I appeal the case and I never seen no investigator has not provided no answers or no evidence to me and I requested documents. So basically that tells me that you're fake falsifying investigators are not no real investigators. Anybody is a real investigator would know that when somebody is sending over 20 different screenshots proving to them that I didn't know who this person is. When they close a case and state that they need more evidence. How is that possible. They have not provided me with no evidence no documents. You cannot sit here and use documents that I use that is falsifying and investigation.
I said I want my money to be returned back to me then in the professional way. This is unreal to me. No company it's going to sit here to deny me my money. Actually breaking the consumer law.. Any real and investigator would actually look through every piece of evidence that I sent them. They would have seen there was a screenshot (stated why would I give you cash if I don't know you) that was a key evidence right there.

On 12/11/24 I received 4 email messages from Chime stating that I logged into my Chime account and set up a passkey and changed my phone number. I immediately contacted Chime due to the fact that I have never had a Chime account. When I inquired as to when this account was set up they wouldn’t give me that information, even after I verified the last 4 digits of my SS# and the email address which was mine. They advised me that I could not get any other information unless I filed a police report (for fraud) or filed a complaint with the FTC. I also inquired, from Chime what type of physical identification they require to open an account. They told me that they did require a photo ID and then 2 seconds later, they told me that they do not require any type of physical ID, ie., Drivers License, Passport, etc. I then filed a complaint with the FTC and emailed Chime with the report#.
I then called them back and they emailed me the report which showed my name, SS#, and address and phone number they had showing when the account was opened. The account was opened in February, 2024 and it listed my address at a residence I had not lived since 2012. When I spoke to them again, I advised them that I was not the person that opened this account. The resolution was that they would close the account. My concern is that whoever was using my identity still has my SS# and email address. They sent me a confirmation email that stated that they had closed my account.
This morning, I received another email from Chime that stated some changes to terms for my account which stated that due to my current participation in and use of the Chime Deposit Account, (checking account) a few terms in my agreement have been updated. 1. Updated eligibility for use of the checking account. The citizenship requirement and a requirement to provide a US residential street address were removed from the Agreement but the following requirement was added: “You represent and warrant that your enrollment in and use of the Checking Account is in compliance with any and all applicable loans and regulations.”
There were 3 additional updates, but I found #1 the most concerning. I called Chime this afternoon and spoke to a CSR. After a long period of waiting to speak to a Representative, I finally was able to and once again had to go through everything that occurred on December 11th. My concern was that they may not have closed that account due to the fact that they emailed sent me the above referenced email 2 days after the account was supposedly closed. He assured me that the account was closed, but I am not convinced.
I inquired again about their lack of actually verifying someone is who they say are due to the fact that they do not have anything in place when an account is originally opened. I’m not sure what else to do. I am in the process of making sure the credit bureaus are notified as well. Chime definitely needs to do a better and more thorough job of customer verifications when opening an account. Without this, I’m surprised and convinced that I am not the only one this has happened to. It has not, up to this point caused me any financial issues, but I’m sure that will be next as mine seems to be the only email address they have on this account and that and a phone number is the only way they have to communicate with their customers.

When I disputed the charge they denied my dispute and I have screenshots of the chat conversation I had with an employee telling them plain to cancel it. So I get an checking account at a regular bank and 10 days after I opened it a check was stolen from my starter checks, my name forged, the check made out to "cash" and mobile deposited into a Chime account.
I suspect it being a couple I let move in with me that recently opened a chime account but when I called to discuss this with them and find out who deposited the check not only will they not tell me making it impossible to know if it's my boarders and protect myself from further events, nothing else is being done either. Are they not obligated to cooperate when someone commits forgery and involves their financial facility in it? I am at my wits' end with this company. The whole point of putting direct deposit info in 3 weeks or more ago was so this didn’t happen .. And when I call they tell me contact my payroll. They can’t help me 'cause they're the receiving end. They don’t see a pending deposit .. So if my payroll has everything correct and says it’s going to that account and I been verified where is it??? Chime can’t see it and my payroll says it’s sent to them ..
This is insane because I had no problems using credit karma. I should have just left it how it was instead of not being able to find my money or pay my bills or live for God knows how long .. I must disabled senior and a recent victim of SIM card hijack I had never heard of this prior to July. They took over the majority of all my accounts, got $2,200 out of my checking account which I'm on SSDI so it was basically one and a half paychecks. I was left with absolutely no money. I have limited resources outside of myself. When I realized what was going on and I contacted chime the first dispute was denied within 24 hours. I also had not had all my documentation uploaded police reports and filing with the FCC and all of this because I was just learning what all I had to do and I'm technically challenged when it comes to such things and my eyesight isn't great.
I have major health problems and I explained this to chime over and over again that I had no money, I had no food, my health issues. They didn't seem to care. Like I said one of the disputes was for $668 which was denied within 24 hours that was not even 50% correct as what I actually disputed. The second dispute which was on my credit builder should have been $8.85. It was close to $300. I stated to them the only charges being disputed were the online charges. I had my debit card and my credit builder card in my possession. The charges that were on those cards were made by me. The dispute specialist I spoke with with chime basically reversed everything and so I called back, redisputed which it was denied within just a couple of days. Yet the one that's on my credit builder account that that dispute for almost $300 they're still out there trying to recoup money from the merchants when there's no money to recoup.
Those were my charges I had the card in my position so they're busting their tail trying to recoup that money when never was that to be disputed. So here I still sit, no money, no food, I can't afford my prescriptions. I have a heart issue. I have a lupus. Yep John doesn't seem to care. They just want to rush you through and rush you through and they're violating so many disability and elderly laws. I would just advise anyone to seek another financial institution ASAP especially if you're in my situation. Adult protective services had to step in and contact chime and to try to get this resolved.

Issue is still not resolved and they tell me that the managers are all too busy to get on the phone with me but that they are looking into fixing my issue? The problem with this bank is as soon as there's a problem there is nobody to go to to get it fixed. All you do is call and talk to somebody that is a completely useless person with absolutely no power. All they can do is send an email and that email goes into some void that doesn't get responded to. “Run for the Hills”! Chime Sucks! Yes, Chime does really suck. They were great until my direct deposit stopped. Not helpful or willing to stop a mobile check deposit that was ‘all of a sudden’ going to take over a week to clear. I think it was because I had stopped my one direct deposit and hadn’t been able to start the new one, which by the way was their fault as well. So, let me explain… When getting direct deposit they would spot me some of my mobile deposit until it cleared in 3 days. Once my direct deposit stopped from my one job they changed. I was planning on setting up another direct deposit off my pension but they were having problems setting it up and I just hadn’t had the chance to contact the company and have them set up the direct deposit. I made two deposit that they were requiring more than a week to credit.
On the first one they said that it was too late to cancel even though they claim to offer this service. They told me the next time, if a deposit was going to be a long time that I needed to call right away to cancel. “Whatever”, they lie. I called immediately after I got the response that my funds wouldn’t be released for over a week and they still claimed it was ‘too late’. Also, I really haven’t seen any improvement in my credit score so I really think that this claim is bogus. Don’t be fooled, they are not worth the headache. I am closing my accounts as soon as my check clears and ‘running for the hills’ to a different financial institution. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I also had bad luck with GO2bank. Steer clear of them as well. Outrageous overdraft fees.

To my surprise, Chime DISABLED my account until I could prove what the problem was at the OTHER BANK. I was given instructions on what to provide Chime to restore service to my account. Upon doing so, it was NOT enough. I was then asked to provide FURTHER proof to which that too was provided.
Yet, my account remains locked until I produce next month's bank statement, which does not exist yet. I have spoken to several managers and was told the exact same thing, that I needed to provide a bank statement that does not exist yet. The experience I had with Chime has been one of the worst of my life and I want to share it with other consumers so others can avoid them. I hired a tax preparer to do my taxes for this past year. I gave the preparer my routing and account number. Instead of directing the money where I requested, she used my DOB and SSN to open up a fraudulent account through Chime without my authorization. She used an address 300 miles from my home, an email not associated with me and a phone number not associated with me. I have used the same phone number and email for nearly a decade and have accounts with 7-8 major banks. Chime does not require a DL or ID to open an account with them. Chime shipped a card 300 miles from my home and the tax preparer used Chime to steal $6620. When I discovered the fraud the money was long spent.
The "customer service" from Chime was laughable. When I asked them for transaction times for ATM transactions they said "We provide the statement and for security reasons, we can't give you that". They admit the account was fraud yet refused to do anything to help an active police investigation. I spent dozens of hours with their customer service and got no help. I would have never opened an account with Chime and now I am forced to deal with a customer service department who had no interest in helping fix an issue they helped create.
I had no choice but to employ legal counsel. I filed complaints with the CFPB and BBB where Chime took no responsibility instead claimed they closed the account after "reasonable investigation". They did no investigation. Had I not brought the issue to their attention they would have been completely unaware. I suggest to everyone to stay far away from Chime. Fintechs do not offer you the same protection as banks do.

Well, I checked my account and no money there. Called Chime and they stated "oh we don't receive wire transfers." Well, they did receive it and if that was the case they should have made it clear from the beginning. My money is not in limbo, and I was left stranded on vacation. I've been banking with Chime for about 5 years. And first off my spot me has never went over $100 even though I deposit thousands of dollars every two weeks. My check typically comes every other week at a certain hour within the one hour I always receive it. One time before they made me wait until 9:00 at night to receive my check. Today seems to be the same way. I called Chime support. And the woman slipped up and told me that another department was holding my check for review before they would release it. She was going to tell me they have not received my check yet if I have not already told them I'd spoke to my HR department and had already released it. I'm very frustrated being a loyal customer for them. They sell on great benefits boosting your credit score but if you look at the reviews the reviews don't have very many five stars. It does have its perks and rewards but with all the issues and not returning money.
I also have used to pay anyone several times like a dummy and nobody can ever open it and when they open it it does nothing. You call them to let them know and they never fix it. They don't care. They say it went through and it has not went through. So where does that money go? You know that money goes straight to them. It's false advertisement to say that they do not hold checks. They're holding the checks for a day or two to collect the interest on them and then they are releasing them. I cannot understand for the life of me why they hold my check that's already been cleared through my HR department with no deductions or withholding your surprise amounts being taken out for IRS for any reason or for anyone.
This is got to stop as a many low stars as they have how are they still in business by doing this. As soon as I receive my check I'm going to switch to a different financial corporation. Also hear the Cash App can be quite difficult as well. So if anybody knows of any legitimate ones to use please let me know. I would appreciate it. Thank you. Just post on here all the other places that are better than Chime.

After 2 months of back and forth, they closed down my account, still no funds. Then they told me it had to do with IRS, when I called IRS, they had nothing to do with it. Then, I needed to verify my identity because they suspected that I was fraudulent. I sent the documents 6 times, both by mails and emails. Now we down to 3months, but then at this point, they stop answering to my emails and when I finally got someone on the phone, they gave me a scripted message.
By this point, I hired a lawyer and from the first letter of contact my lawyer made, my account miraculously reopened and my funds were back on the account. I've decided to empty the account, but still leave pocket money and bill money on the account, not more than $300 at a time. But 2 days ago, I purchased something online for $50 on my card around 11am. But around 11pm when I check my account, $200 more was debited and went missing from the account, I called them to report fraudulent activity and the ladies I spoke with told me that she filed a claim and that money will be refunded back, but the next day, when I Check my account, the funds were no longer pending, but went through.
When I call back to their center, no claim was filed on my behalf, they lied. When I try to dispute the fact that no claim was filed, and that they paid money to a fraudulent transaction, the supervisor himself told me that what is done is done and they not going to do anything about it. When I said that you are a bank, your responsibility is to protect my money, chime then reply, "We are an online bank, we are not a bank bank, if you want to fight fraud, you should go to bank bank, like Chase or Bank of America." After the back and forth yesterday, we filed a claim late last night, woke up today to an email saying after investigation, there was not error of their part, claim is denied. So I lost $200 that no one can tell me where it went. Therefore, I repeat do not waste your time. They have a bunch of fraudulent activity going on at that bank, and most of them are inside jobs.

I was on hold for 24 minutes, disconnected me, it hung up, it even say goodbye in a really creepy disgusting voice. I called back another 10 minutes and they hung up. I’ve called back five times today and it’s hung up on me after 25, 10, 15, 7, and then 5 minutes. This was a special referral bonus. I received the $100 Bonus but they refuse to give me the other $200 Stating different things.
One person said only one referral bonus but some others said it must be three people to get $300. (I said to them that don’t make sense because I received the bonus from the first friend.) I sent a snapshot of all the information including the terms and a copy of their example of how I could get $300 for each friend I invited and sent it to them which they said they received. I have had some other minor things I wasn’t fond of with Chime. I will not refer anyone again and the friend said she does not like them now. I do not plan to refer anyone else. I am going to begin to find another company to transact money.

Chime is trying to steal money. I had money wired to a friend's account. They told her they were rejecting the wire but I contacted the refutable company the transfer was through. They said it shows it went through on their end but it hasn't been put in her account so they think they are going to say they rejected it and keep it. It's enough money to get criminal charges pressed and a lawsuit filed. You think you can just steal money from people and nothing will happen. You're wrong. My lawyer has already been informed.

Ok at best. Only use if your credit is horrible BUT try to stay away from some of their gasoline discount promotions. They say you get a cheaper rate if you pay the higher rate first and then they rebate you the discount (but sometimes they don’t in my experience). Boost’s are ok but they just promote people overdrafting their account monthly.

I always check my account multiple times a day. I noticed multiple charges on my account that I did not make. When I contacted Chime about the charges multiple times they continued to come back to say that I did make those charges. Well I didn't. My card was stolen and I reported it immediately. Fraud charges were made, I reported it and they refuse to give me back my money. It's awful for a single mom who works paycheck to paycheck and this happens and when you report it you are basically called a liar. Do NOT get an account with Chime. DO Not trust them. I have cried and cried because of these Walmart.com charges on my account that they refuse to correct.

Do NOT use this bank. Used them for 5 years, always deposited the same type of checks with the same name. Now they want to hold my check for 2 weeks for “verification”. I told the ** supervisor that I needed to pay rent with this check. He stated that it wasn’t processed yet so I can take the check to another financial institution and have it cashed. As soon as I tried, the bank told me that I couldn’t because it was already cashed. So where is my money chime? Called them again and informed them of what happened and they said that there was nothing they could do & couldn’t cancel the check from being processed. Now I will have a late fee on my rent. Thanks Chime. Stay away from this company. Everyone needs a bank that they can actually walk in and discuss problems or deposit checks!

I closed a Chime account at the end of April because I was unable to access my funds. It took a month to receive my balance check. When I deposited it the check bounced, costing me $50 in bounced check fees. When I called they said 3 checks for the total amount plus the bounced check fee had been sent. I never got those checks. I called back and they said they would issue a new check but it could take another month to get to me. I finally received the check over the weekend two months since closing the account. No bounced check fees were included in the second check though. I'm really hoping it won't bounce. Now they are saying they can't/won't pay for the fees incurred by them not having sufficient funds (reason given by the bank) in the account they wrote the first check on. I've lost a couple hundred in interest many hours on the phone and a whole bunch of stress. It's not a lot of money but I hate being taken advantage of.

On 6/25/2024 made mobile check deposit (MCD) for $90 from the same person every two weeks but usually for $135 to $150 Chime puts the whole amount in my account that day, but on my $90 MCD Chime decided to hold 1/2 of it this time. I called to find out why and after I was hung up on 3 times finally was able to talk to supervisor. I told her if Chime is going to hold 1/2 of it I'll just take it to the bank it's written on. She said to go ahead and do the MCD and the $90 would be in my acct that same day. Chime did not put $90 in my acct that day and they held 1/2 of my deposit.. Not only was I hung up on three times the supervisor lied to me. I'm 69 yrs old and on a very low, fixed income and this prevented me from getting the necessary thing I need to live. Chime would not tell me why they decided to hold 1/2 of my money..I want to file a complaint against Chime for the unfair and deceitful treatment I received.

I have been trying to get bank statements on my son's account who died in April. Chime has been the worse company ever in getting me that information, and over 2 months later I still do not have the statements I am asking for even after sending them all the information they asked for including the court letter of administration giving me the authority as if it was my son. I have wasted so much time. Just now the rep had the audacity to hang up on me. Customer service is horrible.

Parasitic online banking organization that sits on your funds as long as they legally can denying you access to your funds that you've deposited. I've used these crooks for over 4 years, and I would not refer them to anyone at this point.

A Chime account was opened fraudulently in my name. Chime won't close the account for like 5 or 6 days. Why? If an account was not opened by me, then why wait! It should be marked as fraud and not opened again.
