From the first day that I spoke with Neil ** until yesterday, 5-14-2019 I have been amazed at his attention that he gave to me and his knowledge. I worked in Title for 47 years so it was easy for us to talk together. I have never requested or wanted anything from this company but I continue to receive information from them. It’s just like getting calls from telemarketers that you cannot get rid of. The mail keeps coming & coming & coming. What a waste of time. If I wanted their info I would have contacted them. I received a better deal for a vet at my local bank which also offered 1st home buyer also. Even though I wasn’t. Home banks do a much better job... Stop sending the junk mail.

Matt was great every time we talked to the point and we made it happen quickly to the closing and got the remittance checks as stated. NewDay is fast and friendly. Service was efficient, and without any holdups. Very timely and helpful. Closing Agent helpful direct and speedy in handling paperwork. Thanks for everything.

I first want to say, thank you to all the vets who took a few minutes out of their lives to warn other vets about this company. NewDay does not care about Vets. They are greedy and only care about how much commission they are going to get from conning a Vet into refinancing more than they should, I hate to say it but NewDay isn't the only company that takes advantage of Vets. I actually started a application with NewDay and after I explained why we were refinancing and that we were planning on retiring in a couple of years, they came back with a very high (I mean really high, like $282,000 high) loan refinance. It was outrageous. The closing cost were going to be $22000!!! Not to mention they tied 0% financed short term loans into that price, but when I asked the loan officer to get me a preapproval letter, he didn't know how to do that, and boy am I glad.

They charged me points on my loans and the VA fee was a RIP off. 4600vfor a loan. I had to complete it due ed to a personal matter but this new loa stinks. The agent did not tell me about points. All this sdcc c as m ed outcast the closing. They are overpriced. Rick.

Was kept informed by Sergio which was important as the last refi left me in the dark much of the time. Docs were sent to me and received in a timely manner and they were helpful in receiving the docs I needed to send so a big thanks in all the help you gave and I would recommend you to others.

Brian ** was our account executive and was very thorough and professional throughout the lending process. On occasion he went above and beyond by helping us with some of the paperwork coordinating the closing schedules. Brian coordinated and negotiated with the previous individual lender, on most occasions and was very successful in a friendly and hassle free end with the previous lender. Beware of this site too!! There is many many more 1 star reviews than they are showing. I went through all reviews. Nothing adds up. They must be in cahoots with NewDay - ripoff vet site!! ADVICE - RUN RUN RUN, GO TO YOUR LOCAL BANK OR CREDIT UNION. Too many bad bad reviews of scam, bait and switch fees and higher interest rates. Run run run!

My dealings with New Day USA was great. Everyone I had to deal with were very professional and helpful. My loan officer Jonathon ** was very informative and kind. He always kept me updated and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend New Day USA to anyone seeking a loan. I received an invitation to refinance with the cash-out option. I proceeded with refinancing so I could pay off all our high interest credit card debt. Our contact at New Day was Jacob **. I must say that I believe Jacob went above and beyond his duty to assist us in this endeavor. He is professional, courteous, knowledgeable and walked us through the entire process from start to finish. The only drawback was the interest rate. I do, however, understand as we had very high credit card debts due to my wife's loss of her parents recently and the trips back and forth to Colorado. The GREAT news is that these debts are off our backs and we can once again put money in the bank instead of paying high interest on credit cards. I hope that Admiral Lynch will take a moment to thank Jacob and reward him for his superb work.

I saw the New Day USA loan commercial on Fox and figured I'd give it a shot. I was just looking to consolidate debt into 1 lump sum which we have done before. I had all my information ready before calling them. I knew my credit score and the current interest rates. A guy by the name of Justin ** worked on my case and after wasting several hours trying to get the interest rate from him I realized this is a scam.

It seems to be impossible to get them to stop sending glossy snail mail. I've contacted them several times to get off the mailing list but to no avail. I guess it's time to resort to bad reviews. Unresponsive equals unreliable in my book.

Collin was very helpful in every step along the way. We are very pleased with all his efforts and assistance. We will highly recommend NewDay to everyone. I was very pleased with the processing by Theodore **, Account Executive. He was very responsive to answering questions and returning phone calls. When unexpected issues arose, Ted was good at explaining what additional forms were needed. His response time was exceptional in responding by either telephone or email. Even after the loan was approved and processed Ted still took phone calls and answered questions.

At first everything in the loan process was running smoothly. I was even told it was running so smoothly it looked like we could close on the loan early. Then I was told the title company needed a letter from my attorney verifying that my ex-wife could not place a lien on the house despite her not being on the original title or loan and having submitted a quit claim on the home. I submitted the letter and waited only to be told the title company wanted to wait until after a pending court date to see the outcome.

My experience was a very positive one. Our agent Zach ** explained the process. What happened was exactly what happened. There were a couple of bumps but it was all managed by Zach. He is an excellent professional. You have met your commitment. Thank You! I will recommend you to friends & family members.

As a 35 year combat veteran and senior officer, I would never inquire about a loan from this organization. They target niave veterans into getting VA loans saying they will approve when others won't. New Day USA is no different then any other loan group. Shop around first. All mortgage groups that offer VA loans follow strict guidelines.

Our experience started off good and turned into a nightmare. My husband will be 90 in June, & a WW2 Veteran. I had to have cataract surgery and on a fixed income, chose my eyesight over a house payment. They never contacted us on why our payment was late so we could work with them. Gave us to Freedom Mortgage. Thrown under the bus & had excellent credit before that! So much for help!

Absolute disaster! NewDay USA sells their loans to third party mortgage companies. What does this mean? Third party is like third grade mortgage companies. They sold mine to Freedom mortgage. Twice I set up on their wesbite auto payments and twice they did not pull funds. If I didn't check weeks later like I did, there was a good chance my payment would have been late and affected my credit without me knowing. It's like playing Russian roulette with mortgage companies. They are a disaster. Currently, refinancing with NFCU and NFCU DOES NOT sell their loans. I've warned you! Retired Commander, USCG

The process was easy and straightforward. If you have all your paperwork and documents ready beforehand, you will be surprised how easy the entire process will be. Being prepared helped closed my loan in less than 3 weeks. We were able to meet our closing date 2 weeks before the set date.

This was the worst loan experience I have ever had. From improper pay off amounts to rate going up. Never would I recommend this company to anyone. I am working on an indebt letter to the BBB. Thanks for nothing. This was dealing with used car salespeople. I got approved 1 day before closing at a 1% lower rate. But no Regi couldn't work with it.

My experience was very good. The Loan Officer I worked with was very helpful and proactive. I was able to complete the refinance process in about 45 days. I would recommend NewDay to my Veteran friends. The only negative would be the closing costs. Reducing the closing costs to a bare minimum would make the process more attractive.

NewDay USA sold my loan to another company—Freedom Mortgage, whom I’ve never heard of, and, simultaneously, my monthly mortgage payment went up $64. I have since had several calls from Freedom for no apparent reason and no explanation as to why the payment went up.

Entire process exceeded our expectations. This was the first refi we did over the phone and via e-mail. Tristan and Mike were extremely professional and stayed in communication with us throughout the process. The appraisal was completed when they said it would be and we closed earlier than originally expected. Thank you.

Obtaining the loan through NewDay was easy and we dealt with a loan agent who was always friendly and professional. HOWEVER, only about 2 weeks after the loan closed, we get the notice that the loan has been sold to PHH Mortgage... PHH Mortgage is a company in which 49 attorney generals filed a class action lawsuit for poor business practices; if you search for PHH Mortgage, all you will find is one-star complaints with very serious allegations. The new year approaches, and we have not had to make our first payment yet until January to PHH Mortgage; but based on what these reviews are describing, we are in for a nightmare. So I am only going to give NewDay two stars; we feel we were catfished into dealing with a substandard company.

Everything went smoothly. Daniel ** was a great Loan Service specialist. No problems, great professional service. Refinance process took a little over 30 days and Daniel walked us through and was always available to answer questions asked. Highly recommended. All service members should use NewDay USA for their home loan and refinance needs.

NewDay USA is a scam designed to bleed cash out of our nation’s veterans. In 2016 my wife and I finally had enough equity in our existing 7.25% mortgage (we took an equity loan just before the bottom fell out in 2007 and ended up underwater), to refinance. Both of us had credit scores in the 790s when we applied with NewDay. They came back with a 30 year rate of 4.75%. This is a full percentage point higher than out existing bank was quoting on a VA loan. The difference over the course of 30 years would have meant tens of thousands of dollars in NewDay’s pockets at our expense. Multiply this by the thousands of Vets they are giving these high quotes to, and you have a company that exists to rip veterans off. The Admiral should be ashamed and this company should be invest by the Feds for questionable lending practices.

My account executive walk me through this process and I couldn’t de any more thankful! My refi was quick and easy. New Day was a great company to be involved with and I will definitely recommend my family and friends to look into New Day! The online process was easygoing and secure. I was able to close with minimal hassle.

Megan was very helpful getting everything done on a time just as she told us. All of her targets were meet. This was done working with two people that are not real computer people. This made our closing come with no surprises. We would recommend anyone that is a vet to call New Day UDS.

Jacob ** was extremely helpful through the whole process. He answered all my wife's and my questions in simple to understand terms. We had a little trouble setting the closing date but that was all on my end. My mother was in a hospice house. Jacob was very patient and said he only needed a 48 hour window to work with. Very pleased with the entire process. Kim was great and helped me through every step of the process. During the loan process, I was being treated for lung cancer so thankfully Kim pretty much took care of everything with me hardly having to do anything which was so appreciated. Applied for a refi with a 20K cashout and got the extreme sales pitch from the very first moment and told repeatedly how the good Admiral loves his vets. My current mortgage is 220K on a home valued at 350K. Have a stellar credit score of 805. Lived in the house for 18 years and paid every month without problems. Have a VA disability income, corporate pension, and social security and was told income was insufficient for credit requested. Then came the real sales pitch with the “have I got a deal for you”. Offered to pay off my 6K of total credit card debt, proffered an inflated new mortgage interest rate of 5.85 percent for a fixed 20 year term.

Refinancing my home - The overall experience was very positive. The only glitch was that the first appraiser did not submit his report at all. This caused an extended delay. My recommendation is do not use that appraiser again. Brandon, who was my contact did an excellent job keeping me aware of what was happening from start to finish. Thank you.

I reached out to NewDay for a home refinance. Everything was going smoothly until we had the house appraised. Since we had taken out the floors, the appraisal wouldn't be complete until flooring was installed. Joseph, our account executive worked with us the whole way so we could get the refinance done. He went above and beyond anything I expected to make sure our refinance was complete. He worked with the flooring contractor, and my wife to get things done. Because of Joseph's work ethic, I would recommend NewDay to anyone. Joseph is surely a huge asset to your company and I am glad I got to work with him. From the moment I made the call and spoke to Kelly, I felt myself relax. I had been wanting to refinance for a while but was dreading the process. I was only planning to ask questions and continue searching for the right company. Kelly was so grounded and genuine with her questions I knew had found the best company. The only problem I encountered was my Interest Rate jumped from 4.375% to 5.9% during the process, and several local inspection requirements went unnoticed. Regardless, I am really happy to be a homeowner again.

My wife and I canceled our application with Freedom Mortgage and decided to go with NewDay. After a year and seven months of making our payments on time and never being late, they decide to drop us and also decide that we will deal with Freedom Mortgage from now on. Very disrespectful and unprofessional! That is not for them to decide which mortgage company we have. That is for my wife and I to decide. This is one veteran that they proved they don't give a hoot about. They are dishonest and disloyal. We signed up for a 30 year mortgage, not a year and seven months.

My agent was very nice and did everything he could to speed up the process. He kept me up to date on what he to needed, when he needed it and how to receive it. He showed his expertise and intelligence on the home refinance application process And directions to get things done.

I received a home loan from NewDay. I was very satisfied with my loan officer and his assistant. They did an excellent job and I closed the loan early. I was able to negotiate a $9000 concession from the seller to nearly pay off my closing costs. I wholeheartedly recommend NewDay and I hope Ryan ** is your loan officer.

I tried other companies. Was not happy with terms interest too high so I called NewDay USA. The reception I received from Nick was refreshing. Our background with our credit and medical problems. Nick work out a solution to help us get back on solid ground. We are in good shape money and credit wise. Paid all the bills off. Great interest rate. Lower our payments. Closed on time. Will recommend Nick and NewDay USA to all my friends.

Joe was exceptional and is an asset to NewDay. Your interest rate was a point and a half higher than our original mortgage but we still took advantage of the VA program and that can also be attributed to Joe ** and his ability to communicate. Thank you for your service NewDay!

Updated on 12/26/2018: It seemed to me that the folks helping me didn't know what they were doing. They constantly asked for more papers instead of telling me what they needed at one time. They lost papers I had sent and then asked for them again. They cost me more money because they didn't know what they were doing. As soon as the house closed they sold my mortgage to another lender. Don't use these people even if you are a Veteran.

I kept getting mailings from NewDay & seeing commercial. So me and my wife started talking and then called... What a trying experience today with your customer service department! I called to ask how to set up auto pay, which should have been done when I signed the refi documents. I was told that the loan number I gave them was not a loan number and that I would have to wait until I got the first bill before I could set up auto pay. That's bullshit people!!! There is only 1 Loan ID number and I gave it to the person who seemed to be put out by me trying to ask questions. As far as the person who helped me do this refi, Mr. Trevor **, he is top notch and easy to get in touch with, but your customer service sucks! I want to know how to set up the auto pay NOW!!! You need to contact me and tell me what website to go to in order to get that done!

Spoke to a Mr. David ** absolutely terrible attitude rushing thru the process. Trying to force me to do everything over the phone without providing any real information. Had an attitude and very short tempered. I am a disabled veteran. This is a very delicate situation. I have already had a very horrific experience dealing with my current mortgage company. I just wanted some information so that I could be informed about this process and make sure that it is the correct choice. When I told David for the second time that I needed information before providing my social security number over the phone he very smugly stated then we won't be able to continue to move forward today and hung up. I was skeptical before but now I'm even more concerned.

I thought the process went well and my loan officer was always there to answer questions but I feel the fees were astronomical and were not properly explained to me. Looking back I would not have went through with the loan knowing what I know now.

We have been customers of NewDay for over 5 years. We selected them because they were VA oriented and promised that they would not sell our papers to anyone. With just a two week notice, NewDay informed us they have sold our papers to a company with extremely low reviews. We value our credit and the new company has a history of "losing" payments, unauthorized escrow withdrawals and very poor customer service. Thanks NewDay for not caring about your customers!

The process took about 30 days from the first call to closing. Our contact kept in touch to let us know just what he needed and sent everything to us that needed our signatures or information. The process consisted of nine or ten phone calls and about the same number of emails in which we responded by scanning documents and emailing back. One appointment was in person at our residence when we closed and signed the necessary papers. Overall a very painless procedure.

My wife and I were sent a list of needed documents that we furnished. As we got closer to closing we were asked to supply additional documents. If all these documents were needed why were they not in the initial list? I was told NewDay USA did not want to cause stress with too many documents in the initial list. Just days before closing we were told we needed a wood destroying insect report. It was hard to find someone to perform this service on short notice.

My loan officer was polite and courteous. However, due to a breakdown in communication between parties within the system, my closing was very delayed from the date of loan approval (45 days). My property was not appraised well. My appraiser was very elderly and could not physically do a full appraisal of the property. I also received a very high interest rate of 5.6%. This experience only accomplished half of my goals that I set out to accomplish with this refinance.

The process of re financing a home loan went extremely well with one exception: a document that Wells Fargo Mortgage from a previous loan was filed in the wrong county. I've had several VA loans with you and up until this time was very satisfied with the process. However this time it took so long and I had to submit so many documents repetitively. I believe I submitted the same document about 6 different times. And I started the process in June of this year and we just closed last week. So a total of about 2 months. I don't think it's ever took that long to get a VA approved loan closed on. Well not for me anyway. But other than the length of time it took and the multiple documents sent repetitively you did a good job.

This letter is in reference to NewDay mortgage. To say this company helps veterans is a gross lie. I applied for a cash out on my mortgage for approx. 20,000. My current loan is about 125,000 and the value of my home is 230,000. Although my credit is not stellar (600) I figured my house used as collateral would be ok. I have lived in the house 10 years and have paid monthly payment with no problems.

Everything went really well. The Appraisal wasn't what I thought it should be, but I assume it was fair. Matt ** was very help throughout the entire process. There is one hing I would add and that is setting up the auto payment. That would be very helpful. Thank You!

I spoke to a loan officer named Cody whom processed my loan application. After reviewing my excellent credit he had the audacity to quote me a high rate charging me 2 points on the back of the loan and an origination fee which all the fees totaled up to $20,000.00. I asked him why would he think that I would agree for them to take $20,000.00 of my equity in my home. I am a disabled veteran and served my country for 22 years. I also did my research about this company and found out that they lost their license to do VA loans. I am very disgusted with this company and how they are ripping off Veterans. Some action needs to take place to put them out of business.

This company does not deliver on what they promise. They take months to close a loan, when they promised 30 days. Once closed the customer service department has nice people but it’s inefficient. It’s like talking to robots. You can’t get answers to anything. They try to pull every trick they can to charge you fees if possible. We had a hail claim and the insurance company sent a large check to them, in turn they had to endorse it and send it back to us. It took MONTHS! This happened every time! Our contractors had to wait for months to be paid, outrageous. We are considering a refi to get away from them. They claim to take care of our military, it’s a scam and a joke.

I have been struggling for a couple of years with debt, refinanced my house a couple of times after making improvements, however, I could just never get over the top of the problem. Have been getting the NewDay USA correspondence and finally went online to sign up and see about a refinance to a lower rate and a 15 year term. Before I could complete the online information there was some guy calling and then asking me all the questions. I really did not have the time for him, but he was pushy. We went through all the information and then he is telling me that I don't qualify because of my credit rating- which he is quoting 70 points lower than the FICO scores of the three credit bureau reports I am then looking at on my computer screen.

After applying for a cash out loan and receiving documents to sign I was shocked with the closing costs. 260,000 dollar 30 year fixed loan. My closing cost less cash out would be over 18,000 dollars. Vets beware of the tv ads. I have owned over 25 homes in my 70 years. Not my first rodeo. A Navy veteran from the Vietnam era. Please, please buyer beware.
