Didn't say if you are giving me the loan!!! The account you said is on my credit report from Commonwealth Financing IS NOT MINE!! SOMEONE ELSE IS USING MY IDENTITY!! But there was no place for me to click to DENY that account so I had to confirm. I have nothing to finance. Also I really need $5000 to move and get a car.

I've been looking for a credit card debt consolidation loan, investigating several loan companies. I have been paying $500-$800 a month for years to pay down my credit card debt and I tired of paying the credit card companies 25% interest and wanted to pay it off soon. I choose LendingTree because I received a 6.5% loan with a $260 payment for three years— and I'll be done! I did the entire transaction online, it was so easy, my loan was funded and my cards were paid off within a week. I now have one lower monthly payment and the end is in sight, I wish I would have done this a year ago. Thank you LendingTree!

I should've did a little more research before signing up at LendingTree. I have some credit card debt that I'm finally getting serious about doing away with, and I had heard that debt consolidation could potentially save me some money and simplify my debt repayment process. So I signed up for an account only to see what their offers would be, but I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

Immediately after submitting an application for a home equity loan, my cell phone blew up with hundreds of calls within seconds of clicking submit. Extremely annoying. To make matters worse, many of the offers weren't even for the type of financing I was applying for. Be warned.

Applied for a loan at LendingTree. Within minutes I received preapprovals from various loan companies with the amount and interest rate information to compare. I chose Upgrade, and within an hour I completed the online app and was approved for what I requested. Within 2 days the funds were deposited in my account. A very quick, and stress free process. Would definitely recommend to others.

I saw an ad while on a car site. It advertised 3.13% on 15 year fixed. Then gave me the option to take 20k to pay off a credit card. I submitted and got a handful of offers starting mid 4%, which is lower than my current rate. And the amount offered didn't provide an extra 20k. It required me to add 20k to satisfy the existing balance. My credit score exceeds 800. Now my phone is blowing up. Total BS.

I needed a consolidation loan but didn't know where to start until I found LendingTree. I was not aware of the awesome service that this company is providing. I thought the process was going to be long and tedious, but to my surprise it was the simplest process that I have ever encountered. A short application online and almost instantly starting receiving different offers from different lender. It was such a great experience! LendingTree concept is great EXCEPT, when you give them your info they send it out to hundreds of banks for consideration. Sounds good right? NOT when you're shopping for a home. I had a 730 credit rating until I submitted my info to LendingTree. It dropped to 605 after I had 77 HARD INQUIRIES into my credit report. There wasn't a bank on the planet who would look at me for a home loan after that debacle. After that I filed a formal complaint with Attorney Generals office who found them abusive and evasive to questions. Avoid LendingTree if you're shopping for a home.

This is the second time that we have secured a personal loan through LendingTree to give us the financial capability to upgrade living conditions in and around our home. Our first loan we were in serious need for help on closing costs and furniture. LendingTree found us a company willing to help us. The interest rate was not the best and the monthly payment was costly but affordable in our budget. We paid off that loan in two years. Our credit score has improved well due to following a strict budget and not falling further in debt.

Simply went to this website to get current rates, filled in some basic information and immediately the phone starts ringing off the hook, texts and emails as well. I then get a notice from my credit reporting service that CONSUMER CREDIT UNION of Waukegan just did a Hard Pull of my credit report. At no point did I authorize, direct or give permission to pull my credit report. While providing information, the LENDINGTREE website clearly stated this would not affect my credit report as they are doing a Soft Pull for identification purposes. DO NOT USE LENDINGTREE unless you want endless solicitations via phone, texts and emails! If you end up as I did please file a complaint with the FTC, CFPB and your State Attorney Generals office. What has occurred is a clear violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

From start to finish, this was a top flight experience with only a single blip: I received a loan denial from a bank unrelated to Lending Tree. No one from Lending Tree could explain how details from my loan application found their way to this bank, so it has left me with some concern over the privacy of my confidential information. Is there someone with whom I can discuss this? Otherwise this was really perfect. LT was prompt, reliable, and fair every step of the way. I am very grateful for the confidence LT has placed in me and I will not disappoint you. Without a doubt this has been the most satisfying borrowing experience ever.

I wasn’t sure what to expect at first and all the communication and the process from answering outline questions and responses throughout the loan process of verifying my information was very simple. I felt that they were on top of thing all the way. That made me have confidence I was dealing with a #1 company. I will use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

I wanted a decent lender because the rates on credit cards is about to go up, I wanted to consolidate to also reduce the time I pay the loan off, the process puts you in touch with many lenders and you can choose the options right for your needs, very easy application process. You will get many offers to review once accepted. The loan is approved and funds within 2 business days in your account about the same time. You also will only receive a call from the lender you are dealing with! VERY EASY.

Just wanted to receive a few rates, filled out the information at LendingTree and then the hell on earth began. 17 phone calls from 7pm-9:30pm and then 24 phone calls from 7:30am to 5:00pm the next day plus text messages. I ended up having to block all the numbers just to get my phone to shut up. Many of the calls were repeatedly from the same number. I just wanted rates and the one company I did talk to asked questions and was going to email me a quote. Woke up the next day and they pulled a hard inquiry on my credit. I wasn't even applying just getting a quote. This should be illegal!!

I hadn't even finished filling out the information and once I put my phone number in, I received 4 calls and 2 text. Confidential is wrong, they broker out your information immediately. I didn't even have a chance to look at rates. REALLY disappointed.

There is no confirmation on signup for one thing. They just assume... If you check on something like a mortgage loan 'possibility'; you immediately receive never ending phone calls, emails, and even text messages. You are unable to remove your profile account. There are not enough clearly noted remarks to let you know the effects of just investigating the site. "If I wanted to use a service, I will call them. Do not send my information to your list to be annoyingly emailed, called and texted." I called LendingTree to why I can't delete my information. I'm told "We are a financial institution and records must be maintained." Yeah ok, that's why the profile was not confirmed with me and you did not have the information until I signed up on a website. This whatever it is needs to be stopped.

I was just looking at what current refinance rates were, to see if it was worth while trying to refinance. LendingTree was the first one to pop up under a search and I filled out their info looking what the rates were. They asked me every kind of personal question there was - WHY, I JUST LOOKS FOR CURRENT RATES! So I fill it out and as soon as I hit the enter button, my phone gets blown up with over 25 calls from different lenders wanting to help refinance my house. WTF!!!! I'm just looking for rates!!!! Now I have bots calling me every day and night. That NEVER happened before I filled out my info on their site. I would not suggest anyone actually go to this site much less fill out their info. Worst experience I ever had!!!!

I have struggled for years to get my high interest rate credit card paid off. I was so scared to consolidate my debt. I was afraid that it would take too much time and be very embarrassing for me. But it's not. LendingTree made it a very seamless process, quick and painless. I do not know why I have not consolidated everything before this. Thank you LendingTree. Payments are simple. Payments are automatically taken out of my account every month and I can breathe a little.

The site even allowed me to edit my selections several times, all the while keeping new offers up to date! It gave me the power to compare the rates for the best term, payment, and bank. Let me start by saying that I was wanting a second mortgage. None of the voice mails, texts or emails talked about a second mortgage. They were about Home Equity Loans and refinances. They advertise three lenders will contact you. I have received call for a lot of different companies. Some of them will call 6 to 10 times a day each. They start at 8 AM and end at 10 PM. The same company will call from different areas of the country. They send Emails and texts. They filled my Voice mail up in three days.

Great experience, I would recommend them to anyone 100%. Good customer service. So easy. I got this loan so fast. Thank you! I will use them again. Everyone I talked to was pleasant. I wish I had done this sooner.

They advertise that anyone can get a loan through them or their lenders. Bad credit no credit doesn’t matter. But they would not give me a loan. They checked with all their members. No one would loan me any, so how can they say this, when my credit is not good but it is definitely not the worst.

After 20+ years with an excellent credit score, I submitted a single late payment on a Bankcard due to not receiving the statement in the mail. I was denied a loan UNTIL I found LendingTree. They're excellent to do business with, staff is professional and courteous, and work with you to meet your individual needs. LendingTree approved my loan request and expedited the transfer process to my bank account. When I called them with questions an agent answered my call, not an automated 10-step digital screener. I was stunned to find out how easy & fast I could apply & be approved for a loan. And my loan was unsecured and all done online. Not only is this unheard of in my "old soul" world but...IN MY P.J.'S? Maybe it is stated somewhere, but when I signed up, I was not aware that my info will be shared with multiple lenders. Within minutes, I was bombarded with emails, calls and text messages (mostly automated) from multiple lenders. It's been 3 days and they are not letting up.

I've received 43 phone calls from lenders since submitting my information into Lending Tree. If I'd know they'd sell my information to every single spammer on the planet I would have steered clear of this service. Beware!

The process was simple: go to the website, fill out the information about the loan I needed, look through the available options, and then apply. The next day it was a sealed deal and the loan was in my bank. LendingTree even reached out to me to make sure I had seen all available options and to work with me in person, if needed. If I need another loan in the future, I'll be back.

I am entertaining refinancing my mortgage and so I went here to see what I could get. After putting in all my info, the site didn't even give me any rates. They just sent my info to a bunch of mortgage companies so now I am getting spammed by them. Awful company.

LendingTree provided me a fast and easy way to get a consolidation loan for my credit cards. After providing information to them, I was given myriad options for loan amounts, length of loans and different loan providers. I looked into several of the loan providers before settling on one, and within minutes of choosing one, had their more specific application filled out. Now, less than a week later, everything is settled, loans are consolidated, and I feel like a financial weight has been taken off my shoulders.

LendingTree provided me with several banks for a personal loan and one of the banks was far more competitive with interest rates. I would have never found this bank without LendingTree.... Highly recommend!

The lenders who contacted me offered loans substantially higher than the lies you promote here. The Quicken loans rate was $700 more per month than what is shown on your site. Since using your site, I've been inundated with spam emails and phone calls. I regret ever using this site and would caution anyone I knew from doing the same. They've refused to take off our info. It would seem credit is getting dinged with all the hard pulls. Feels like a scam.

Loan selections were fair and varied, process was not complicated. Service was simple and fast, I was able to secure 2 different loans and receive funds within 48 hours. Would use again and recommend to others.

I was looking for a personal loan to consolidate some bills. LendingTree asked me a few questions to analyze my needs and provided me with a comprehensive list of Personal Loan vendors. The list was filled with the most pertinent information required for me to select the loan most suited to meet my needs. Their site is easy to use with menus that are intuitive and easy to understand. This should be the first place to look for anyone considering a loan.

Site will not let me access my free credit report and score. Keeps saying my email address is logged under a different email address. But I checked and what I see is my email address which is my email address. Wasted hours of my time for nothing but trouble with this site. Please correct the problem. I have a huge credit card debt issue. The bank I have been with for 25 years would not help. There was no end for me. LendingTree helped me through Lending Club and gave me the loan to pay off 22000 in credit card debt. I won't even have to log in and pay the loan, they take it out of my bank account. In 5 years I will be debt free (except for my student loan). I encourage others that think there is no way to get out of debt to apply and look at the terms they offer. I was surprised and they gave me hope. Truly, I was not in a good place emotionally when I didn't think I would ever pay off my debt. LendingTree/Lending Club gave me the faith to keep going and not give up.

LendingTree made it easy to request and get a debt consolidation loan that we really needed. The people there were helpful and understanding. My spouse is in the beginning stages or early onset Alzheimer's and they had to ask her personal security questions and I was not allowed to help her and she said they were very nice to her and understanding.

I went to LendingTree in the hope of finding the best rate for a home equity loan. The list they generated weren't even for home equity loans, and the one that was had an above market interest rate. It was a total waste of my time. But the worst part is that they sold all of my info to these companies! I have been harassed since I used LendingTree. I miss 4 calls every 2 hours from 3 different companies all day long. And now they're texting me. It hasn't even been a week and I have blocked 89 phone calls. That's just insane. Beware - I'm sure what they're doing was buried somewhere in the legal jargon. If you have any idea how to get off these lists please let me know. I blocked the calls and texts but then they just call from another number. It's driving me insane.

34 calls within 24 hours of SIMPLY trying to get a list of rates and lenders to POTENTIALLY refi. DO NOT enter information or you will not be able to stop the calls. Emails from random lenders also started appearing. All calls were from the surrounding 3 area codes, so the entire premise is based on deception in order to get an answer. Zero stars not an option.

I searched and looked at many other companies that offer loans but LendingTree found me the best one that suit my needs. I have heard great things about LendingTree. I hope that you can help my husband get back on our feet. My health gets in the way sometimes but we try really hard to pay our bills. It would be such a blessing to be able to pay off some bills to take some of the burden off of us.

I have been researching various loan types and lines of credit for my mom. She is in assisted living and needs to rent out her house to create income. It is a very nice waterfront property and newly renovated. We are having no problems leasing it as a corporate rental. She owns the property outright, no mortgage. However, in order to be prepared for any future major maintenance or repairs, we wanted to either take out a home equity line of credit, use a cash out refinance, or home equity loan to have maybe $50-$80k available.

Made an mortgage inquiry with Lending Tree. Their "offers" were all above market rates, and a waste of time. But the worst part is that apparently they give out your name, email, and phone number to any lender who wants it, and we're now getting numerous repeated calls that won't stop. SHAME ON YOU, LENDINGTREE! NEVER AGAIN.

They literally ask for every single piece of personal information you could think of. They even take your whole social security number. I put in a fake last four digits then they asked for a complete one and I faked it as well, but they accepted it. This leads me to believe they deny all last 4 digits so they can receive your full SSN. Completely stupid service you could get anywhere else without entering any personal information. At the end they did not even tell me how much interest I would pay on a loan, just referred me to their partners for that sweet affiliate money and sold off all of my fake information. Nice job LendingTree, you're running a completely unethical company.

I can’t recommend enough that if you're looking for any type of loan for debt consolidation, auto loan, mortgage etc etc you go to LendingTree. Their customer care agents are very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and patient. The online application is a very quick and easy process. They will show you many offers from several financial institutions and work very hard to get you the loan you want at terms you will be very pleased with. I have two separate loans with them and I’ve recommended them to several of my friends, family and colleagues and they too are now customers. I’d also just like to say thank you to LendingTree for being there when I needed some assistance. Their service was a huge relief for me and one less thing on my mind.

I registered with LendingTree and one of the mortgage companies called me using a spoofing number. Basically, the company calls you using the same area code as your personal number. The goal is to get you to answer the phone. I almost didn't accept the call because I get a lot of crank calls from the area code on my phone (I no longer live in that area). The practice is deceptive. When I questioned the lending agent and told him it was deceptive and that he should call me on his direct number, he hung up. LendingTree is going to ruin its reputation with businesses like that. I know that I will never contract LendingTree again.

I went online and filled out the information they requested. Brad called me back within 3 seconds and I started to work with him. During that time I must of had 12 calls and 8 e-mails. For the next week I was also getting e-mails daily and at least 5 calls a day. I also had calls from vendors that see the online information and tried to leading me to work with them saying that they took the account over so I needed to work with them. I contacted Brad and he said yea that will happen. I waited for over a week and did not get any more calls or emails from Brad.

I was able to compare several loans to pay off credit card debt. Easy once I picked one. A few copies of records and I received my loan online. No talking to anyone, it was quick and easy. At one point I did contact them through email and they clarified what they needed from me.

We could really use a chunk of cash to capitalize on an opportunity to improve the property so we thought we would cash out the little equity we had because the $30k in renovations would be about $60k in increased property value. From the moment we clicked to see rates the phone has been unusable due to constant calls, texts and emails. It's been annoying and intrusive. Many companies are even spoofing the area code to make it look like a local call, I feel like I signed up to be the recipient of aggressive spam.

The process was quick and easy. Multiple offers were available to me within a few minutes. I reviewed the offers and picked a company (Lending Club). Closed the loan in 3 days from start to finish. Excellent!

LendingTree is a very professional company. No BS. Their application is straight to the point. And I am glad to do business with them. I tried other places but stopped my application when there was questions that did not apply to getting a loan.

My wife and I never applied for a loan with Lending Tree. Every day, even though I mark their email spam "as" spam, delete, and then filter any new incoming emails from LendingTree.com, they still seem to get through. Yesterday I got an email from LendingTree.com that we asked for a $3,500 loan AND they denied us! They had my Social Security number and everything. NO one has hacked into my computer - and my wife and I do not even need a loan! So how did they get my information, and why would they process a loan that we never agreed to or applied for? These details are being copied to the State Attorney General's Office. I would not trust these people!!! Crooked and illegal tactics. WE have a Zero Tolerance Policy and I hope these scammers fry. If they do not print this - look for this text on all Social Media, it is going to be posted AND people are going to know what kind of crooks these are.

They said they guaranteed you could get a car loan online. Not only did they lie they sold my info to telemarketers. I got 7 calls this morning in a 4 hour period starting at 7:30 AM. All from people wanting to sell me a car loan. My email box is blown up as well with car loans at worse than credit card rates. I have normal credit and their service is a total scam.

I get emails saying I could pay off my credit card debt with a loan, but they do not help. Since I already have a loan with them, I assume they would refinance it to help me pay down debt. I would rather they not get my hopes up, and would rather they do nothing if they have no intention of helping me.

LendingTree has been and continues to be a great tool to repair and build my credit history. They have also referred a great personal loan lender (Lending Club). The experience was seamless and effortless but also a quick process. Great company.

Applied online. They ran a soft credit pull and I received several loan offers to review. I took a week to decide and come up with questions. A rep. called me each day which I did not like. When I finally decided on the loan I wanted I called them back and agreed to a 14,000 loan. Which was in my account the next day.

I entered the exact information on my property and situation. The next day I had the same conversation with five different lenders who LendingTree had contact me. They all said they do not do equity loans under X amount. This is understandable, however, I put the lower amount I'm seeking in the LendingTree profile so they never should have wasted my time or the lender’s time knowing our numbers don't match. One lender even told me he gets this from LT often. They sell leads regardless of a match. I wasted an entire day on the phone when I could have been researching places that suit my needs.

I think they're all right like. Me fire so far the online stuff is a little hard for me but good business. I like the way they do you okay. Yes or no, straight, up, down. I like that about it. The loan officer, Kelley, did a great job and made me feel he was there to take care of my goals. He made the process fast and easy. I feel he got me the best deal. He gave me several options to look at and let me decide which one I preferred.

I have been searching LendingTree for a while trying to consolidate all of my credit card. They found the right company to give me a loan, and it was really easy to apply. I also had a lot of places, prices and percentage rate combinations to choose one. I finally found the right loan and was approved. I am excited to finally start getting my credit card debt paid off, and all in one payment.

Clicked on a LendingTree ad as I was researching converting from a 30 to 15 year mortgage. It was a quick calculator and I just wanted an initial idea. So I begin putting in information which quickly escalated to info outside the calculation and into personal contact info. Looking back, should've backed out then. I stopped answering questions right when they asked for social security, but I was too late. Within minutes (7:30 in the morning) I began receiving call after call (some from the same company) saying I requested information. This has continued all morning. Horrible use of my information. Will never use a company who so willing trades info so quickly.

LendingTree is the most simple way to apply for a loan. I was skeptical applying for a loan online but this was the most simplest process. It took only 3 days to get my money. I feel so much better paying off high interest credit card debt. The interest was great. All I can say is Wow and thanks LendingTree.

Unsolicited calls. A really huge amount of unsolicited calls will follow once you press “Apply” button. Literally. In the very first minute since I pressed the button I’ve got 2 calls, 3 emails and 1 SMS. During first hour I’ve got 14 calls. It wouldn’t be so bad if I was clearly warned about it but alas nothing pointed to such a disaster. There were nicely designed forms, smooth buttons and pretty pictures but nothing about the fact that my phone number and email will be immediately shared with sales persons. I’m pretty sure that it was mentioned under the humble barely noticeable “Advertising Disclosures” link or somewhere else definitely but not during the application :). And what is even more interesting in order to stop getting such calls LendingTree suggests to respond to all of them :). Terrible experience.

For months I had been looking for a loan to consolidate my debt. My criteria was pretty basic, I wanted it to be a term of 36 months or less and a net APR less than what I was currently paying. Being that the debt I wanted was less than 10k the short term was easy to find, but because I was still in the process of rebuilding my credit I could not find a lower APR, especially once you included the "administration" fee that every lender was going to charge. The fee that every lender I found charged, meant first that if I needed $5,000 I would have to borrow $5,250 (I would get 5,000 and the lender would keep 250 for the fee). Second, the fee raised my APR from 25% to an effective rate of 30%, which was much higher than the average current rate I was already paying.

I submitted my information and wanted a loan to consolidate credit cards. Every loan that LendingTree showed me the interest rate is higher than my credit cards. I have some great offers from Discover, and Prosper. If I knew the rates would be in the 20% and more I wouldn't have wasted my time filling this out. I was riding in the car today and saw that you had rates as low as 4-5 percent. Thanks you for your time. I have a credit score close to 800. Why would I choose any of the loans that I was shown.

I came to LendingTree not really knowing how it worked. I input my information and they supplied me with quite a few lenders that were willing to do business with me. They also give you information about the particular lender as well as reviews from customers that have used the same lender. Using LendingTree I was able to find the lowest rate compared to some other lending sites I had went tried. They made my search an easy and stress free one. I would use them again and definitely would recommend!

The people at LendingTree are all nice, pleasant speaking with them. LendingTree hooked me up with a credit repair company. Ovation Credit. They will take care of negative stuff on my credit report. I'm pleased with results so far. My credit score jumped a few points then dropped down. The staff was happy to explain why. They gave me pointers as how to get it higher. It was super easy to sign up and get the loan for when I needed it by. Everyone I talked to on the phone was very easy to talk to and answered my questions as well. Definitely was able to rely on them in my time of need.

I have great credit, and thought rather than go through my own bank to get the loan (decent APR) I'd get multiple rates to get some competition. LendingTree lead me to believe that the interest rates started much lower than they really did. The actual interest rates are 5-6% higher than advertised. Then the deal that you select from LendingTree isn't even the deal you get from the lender. My interest rate was 1.5% higher than LendingTree stated it would be. I'll never use this service again!

LendingTree gave me several options with several lenders. It was an easy step through process. I chose Uprade's offer. All transactions were via the web. In less than an hour all total on the computer I had submitted all the documents required. Once again, everything happened seamlessly on the web. Process to apply was easy and on online. LendingTree offered me a loan that was 5% less than my bank or any other lender. Terms were easy to understand. LendingTree even showed other offers from other businesses, and I could see the rates without and offers without impacting my credit score. Even my personal bank could not give me exact terms without impacting my credit score.

I was almost frauded not once but twice, one lender said they were with US Bank, so I called my local US Bank branch and they knew nothing of me and would never have given me a personal loan because I do not bank with them. When the lender called me back, I said I called the bank and they hung up on me. Then Advance America said I was approved for a loan and I could get it from MoneyGram at Walmart because I did not want them having my bank info.

Went to the site. Very easy to maneuver. An offer was made with a very good interest rate. When I called the agency, the rate skyrocketed. Through the site, I found another company. Their rate was very good. Went to their site and it gave me the opportunity to increase the amount with another good rate. As soon as I applied. I received an email called Upgrade. The rate was much higher. When I called the company about the discrepancy, they told me that it wasn't their company but another entity.

I went on LendingTree looking for a Home Equity Line of Credit. They seemed to have given my information and phone number to every bank in the country because immediately after I started receiving unsolicited phone calls from banks, and they. will. not. stop. It's been two months and I'm still getting unsolicited phone calls. If I don't answer, they won't leave a message, and they just continue to call back. I've asked at least 3 people at one bank in particular to stop calling me. Each person says "this is the first time I've called you." Yes, but someone from your bank has called me half a dozen times earlier. I contacted LendingTree to remove my account and information over a month ago, and I'm still getting calls from random banks.

When I called them back the rep said that this is what happens when you put in an inquiry online and don't answer the phone. Their words not mine. Decided to check rates via Lending Tree because of their claim that it doesn't result in a hard credit check (negative impact to credit score). After providing lots of personal information -- including date of birth and last 4 digits of Social Security number -- you have no opportunity to select the type(s) of mortgage for which you want rates! You ONLY get rates/offers for 30- and 15-yr fixed and an ARM... Then you immediately start getting calls and texts from multiple banks -- None of which I'm interested in talking to without knowing their 20-year fixed rate!!! The geniuses at Lending Tree are clearly incapable of in-depth thought. Now I'll never deal with them, because who wants to work with "the stupid"? P.S. this rating system requires at least 1 star or they'd get ZERO!

I thought I was going to see some competitive rates to refinance my new auto loan. After disclosing way too much personal information, I started getting phone calls from a myriad of lenders with rates that were not competitive with rates offered reputable lenders in my area (lenders that publish their rates on their websites like local banks and credit unions). Two of the callers placed me on a "brief" hold to get a lender on the line while my other phone was ringing off the hook with calls from call centers trying to "pre-qualify" me. All the calls were on a recorded line and it was rush, rush, rush, to get more personal information. I do NOT like LendingTree's business model or tactics.

Having trouble getting on to app. Wants me to keep redoing my password and log in. Other than that it's great. Would tell the people about this. Could make easier if you could sign in once or let know what our log was or email we used. This would save some time.

I applied online, got pre-approved. Then, I had to stay with them on the phone for more details. I was assured that I will get the money so they start running my credit score, I have to send them very important details about my life and finances and, in the end, the didn't have the courtesy to, at least, call me and tell me I wasn't approved and everything was a stupid game. No letter in the mail, my credit is messed up now because of them and I didn't get the money they promised from the very beginning. A week later, I got a letter from the Marcus at Goldman Sachs declining the application I never submitted.

Instead, after completing the application they were in NO WAY competitive on rates and had a terrible selection of products offered (no ARMS, I/O, only 30 yr fixed). My contact information was then given to a number of banks, who bombarded me with robocalls and emails. Their service really isn't worth the time or hassle, I'd go to your local banker and see their offerings instead.

I was interested in seeing what rates I would qualify for under a home equity loan. LendingTree says that after you submit your basic information, they will let you see your rates. However, after clicking submit, the beast awakens! I have received 12 calls, leaving 5 voice messages, from a number of lending companies trying to get my business. LendingTree says that you can check to see if you qualify for loans and it will not impact your credit. Lo and behold, I got an alert from one of the credit services I use indicating that a hard pull was made on my report from First Invst Svc/first out of Houston, TX and I have no idea who they are or why they are pulling my credit report when LendingTree said there would be no impact. Be aware that they just flat out lied and/or they have no controls in place to ensure this doesn't happen. Bad. Would not recommend.

Suggested me two different bank for mortgage and when I applied to them they offered higher rate so this doesn't make sense to apply LendingTree. Second this is LendingTree selling our information which we start receiving a lot of paper from all over. So LendingTree waste of time. Does not give any service beside selling your information making extra money. Okay friends take suggestion not headache.

I have been curious about home loans and wanted information about the typical financing options for people with similar salaries as me. When setting up my profile I indicated that I did NOT want to be in contact with any lenders. Sure enough, I received immediate phone calls after submitting my information and five emails. I decided to try and rebuild my credit, after having rid myself of credit cards for the past year. After filling out an online application, I was unable to secure a single line of credit, even for the most minimal of amounts. If I specified that I wanted a card or a line of credit for less than $1000, I was pointed to lenders who would require a minimum of $1500-$2000 line of credit requested. After becoming increasingly frustrated, I followed one of the links on the Lending Tree website to another site that was the same business of aggregating lenders. After trying again to find a credit card or line of credit, I decided to give up and just go shopping elsewhere.

I was trying to inquiry about rates, fees terms and conditions and as soon as I clicked submitted my phone explode with lots of people for different companies trying to get me in some type of loan. I honestly blocked all those calls and do not want to talk with anybody. I was looking into a online solution not to talk with a hustler. This people are just a marketing tool and they will send your contact information to multiple companies, not consultants or whatsoever. PLEASE BE AWARE.

This morning I did an inquiry for a potential mortgage, thinking I might buy within a year thinking this would be an easy way to get preapproved, find out if there was anything negative that needed repaired etc. I am getting hundreds of calls from all kinds of lending providers, none of which are banks I have heard of, in the past hour, my phone has not stopped ringing and all of these places are asking for personal information over the phone. I am also getting credit alerts like crazy as various lenders are running my credit information, checking my score, all of which happened minutes after submitting an application with this one company. Definitely not helpful as my score lowered 10 points in just minutes due to the inquiries.

Auto loan: They send your information to other 5 banks and they run your credit 5 time. I don't recommend this company. Don't do if you care about your credit. Bad company. Don't like. Get your own bank. Don't used their service.

I filled out the form to compare mortgage loan rates. They seem to have provided my information to every mortgage lender in the country. The calls and emails won't stop. Some companies call 3 or 4 times a day. This is ridiculous.

When entering phone numbers you have to backspace some numbers and reposition cursor to complete the Phone number. Usually the problem is with the area code of the phone number. You start keying the area code and the three numbers transpose themselves so the first number you want will probably end up in the middle instead of at the beginning.

Fast and courteous. They was able to connect me with a lender to try for approval even though I wasn't given any offers to start with so hopefully I'll get approved for a car loan and pray for decent loan terms and finance rates. I'm also hoping that I will not have to pay a down payment for the car loan either.

If I could give a zero rating I would. Do not use their pre-approval tool ever. They hard pull and it will make your credit score go down. Last night just to see what I would qualify for because I am giving my almost paid off car to my daughter I checked their pre-approval tool for car loans. Honestly, it was completely out of curiosity seeing how she isn’t taking the car until March of 2019. Well I woke up this morning to a notification from Experian that I had a credit update. Turns out my LendingTree pre-approval curiosity ended with a hard pull only from Roadloans.com. There were other companies also listed on the Preapproval. None of the other companies hard pulled. The pull just came from Roadloans.com.

I visited LendingTree to receive and compare quotes from lenders. I gave them my email and phone number knowing I might be contacted but still expected to be able to view, compare, and select lenders on the site. Instead I received three calls within moments of entering my data. The information LendingTree gave me was limited and not enough to decide between lenders, they listed the best in each category but not how they compared to one another. My whole reason for using the LendingTree site was to gather information without having to speak to high pressure sales agents over the phone which I greatly dislike. I feel angry and misled. I should have educated myself about their service before I used it and been more careful in reading the fine print.

LendingTree is awesome. You get your credit score free and they give you advice on how to better your credit as well as alerts on changes in your score to prevent fraudulent charges. Highly recommend to anyone trying to better themselves. I'll be passing this company down to all my family members, friends, and coworkers. To say the least this company's only goal is to help you improve your credit and above all they do it for free.

Insisted I was not ready to move forward with application yet, still inquiring. Welp, they went ahead and pulled my credit without authorization. NOT what it says when entering your SSN on the LendingTree website. It's LendingTree's responsibility to police these loan officers. Not the case... They don't seem to monitor the officers they send your way. Terrible. Never, ever again. Wish I'd paid attention to the reviews. 1 star doesn't lie!

Three weeks ago I was doing some research about home equity loans and ended up on LendingTree to compare rates. I made the mistake of sharing my email and phone number, which was required to get the lender comparison results. Not even 2 minutes later, the calls and emails started. These were from 3rd party vendors that LendingTree had shared my info with. The first hour, I must have received 30 calls and about 20 emails, none of which I asked for or agreed to (unless I missed the LendingTree fine print of course).

I entered all the information related to my specific circumstance and the results were incompatible. The filters are useless - process was just a waste of time. Seems that the site is really designed to drive aggressive sales rather than competent match of need and provider.

Like many of the reviews that I have now read about Lending Tree, I can only say that I wish I would have read about them prior to submitting my request for a mortgage loan. My opinion, like many others, a deceptive and misleading organization. All I can say after my experiences is: Never again, hard lesson learned and shame on Lending Tree. I had checked my Credit Karma which told me that I should apply for a loan to consolidate all my high interest debts on credit cards. Well I did. It was one of their companies they suggested. After finishing all of the application which was not supposed to go on my credit report I was pre-approved. A personal loan in the amount of $7,500. Next I get a call from LendingTree who asked me to verify security information over the phone which I did. Then they sent me to a man I think his name was Mark in the loan department who told me I would get an email whether this loan was approved or not within a day or two. Today I received another phone call asking me to verify the same thing - my Social and all these other things, address, phone number, Etc.

Rude caller. We decided to not use LendingTree. Kevin ** was rude and wouldn't take my word for it. Hung up on me. We want to use a bank we can be face to face with. That's all we ask. No offense to the company that called. We no longer want any affiliates of LendingTree to call us or mess with our credit score. Thank you.

I was browsing rates. Within 30 seconds of entering my info emails, text messages, and phone calls flooded. I have called LendingTree 3 times to get them to stop. To which they said that I was removed from the call list and my information deleted, but to give it 24 to 48 hours to take full effect. 1 week later I am still receiving 5 phone calls per minute (no exaggeration). I am now paying for AT&T call blocker to somewhat help. I've reported them and still no help. I guess my next option is to get a whole new phone number and email. Words can't describe how bad this is. I wish someone would shut the LendingTree scam site down before it happens to others.

When I expressed I was no longer interested, I was very rudely badgered and pressured to explain my change of mind and that my actions of having filled out their online information speaks louder to my interest than me verbalizing no longer being interested. The caller behaved in a very unprofessional manner. Blocked their phone number and they called again from different number.

Some pull reports correctly others don’t. I have had to contact credit agencies to remove inquiries. Legally if it is for a single item like mortgage, home equity, auto loan etc. only the final lender is supposed to remain. Not all of LendingTree's lenders correctly give the info. I wanted recommendations not harassing calls. Avoid them at all costs. I got my home equity outside their site. Better rate and local people. Will never use or recommend ever. Not even to my enemies.

A few years ago I made the regretful mistake of going to LendingTree’s website and searched for a mortgage lender. Well that was the beginning of a nightmare of harassing phone calls constantly all day everyday even after 9PM! They were relentless! Even after telling them to stop calling they continued and then other mortgage lenders called and called. It was horrible! My credit score dropped tremendously after hard credit pull after pull! I finally got them to stop calling but it took months! Well a few days ago my wife didn’t remember my horrible experience with them and just went to the site put her name and number in and then she said “I don’t feel comfortable putting the last 4 of my social on the site” and I asked “which site?” She said “lending tree”. My heart sunk. I quickly said “Oh my god no do not give them any information because they are relentless vultures that will not leave you alone!”

I knew LendingTree was a marketplace. I assumed they would give my information to a few screened and vetted lending agents. Wrong! They gave my phone number to dozens and dozens. I'm being harassed all hours of the day and night. If I just let the phone ring, some call my number every few minutes. They must be roto dialing. My advice is never, never give any information to LendingTree unless you want to be harassed for a very long time. I've learned my lesson.

High pressure tactics. Not a pleasant experience. Would not recommend to anyone. Badgering via phone. Blocked their phone number and they called again from different number. I felt like was at an auto dealership.

I really did not have any major issues/problems with this company. If it came to it... I would really recommend this to all my family and friends. Hopefully... they will have the same easy-going experience as I did.

The LendingTree website makes it seem as though it will provide you with a list of the most appropriate lenders for your needs. In reality, what the LendingTree does is give out your phone number to dozens and dozens of lenders, who then just want to call you several times a day at home. I would say we have been swamped over 150 phone messages within 10 days, with several of those lenders leaving 10 or more messages each. It's a ridiculous situation and goes to show that all the LendingTree really does is pass your contact information indiscriminately to as many lenders as possible. Bottom line: DON'T give the LendingTree your phone number, and instead, do your own research on various institution's interest rates and reputations.

Too much on credit cards, mortgage company didn’t pay RE taxes until I received notice my property was going up for sheriff sale. I called mtg co and they tracked down taxes. A year later I received a $1,400+ bill stating I needed to pay for taxes or pay $535? Monthly payment. Of which I could not do either. I tried. They reduced my payment to $435. Just too much and I couldn’t do anything. I was way over extended. I did try to refinance but the answer was no. I have filed Bankruptcy.

I contacted LendingTree for a home equity line for home improvements. I had several people contact me in regards to this via email and they promised that they would not do a hard pull on my credit, they did. Not only that the rates were unbelievably high my credit is not bad and I should have gone to the bank to begin with. Now my phone is ringing off the hook. I have blocked over 200 calls in a week. Do not let them have your information!!!

Went to the website and was given options of who would approve to refinance my auto loan. Followed up with a phone call, giving all personal information requested to complete the loan. I was told everything looked good. Never received a confirmation email or any follow up emails. Called The number I had received a call from to ask if I was approved or not. I was told "No, we cannot approve you." I asked why when the website offered an APR rate and monthly payment amount. I was told that’s a pre-approval not definite approval. I get pre-approvals all the time for car loans and credit cards and I GET the loan. I’m not denied after being pre-approved. Screw Lending Tree for misleading me as a consumer and doing a hard credit inquiry for nothing! Will not recommend.

Their app states it will "NEVER affect your credit" and yet when I was playing around in it looking at various options it presented I got a notification from Experian they had just made a "hard pull" on my credit! I'm trying to improve my credit using the app, not destroy it! Consumer Affairs, please take note at the many others below who said the same thing. This is outright FRAUD. They say over and over they only do soft pulls. When I called them, they refused to do anything about this saying it's in the disclosure when I signed up for the app (almost a year ago!!) I never willingly agreed to a hard pull. They present this intentionally in a hidden manner that is NOT FAIR by FTCR or any other act. Please shut their ways down!

They sold my information to external vendors which used the last 4 digits of my SSN to get my full SSN from Experian. In the process, it EXPLICITLY states that this will not be hard pull off your credit. WRONG! I have several inquires on my credit report. Beware of rateGenius, too!!!

A scam-artist site. Register and get inundated with so-called "loan specialists" that are not even licensed or trained. Operating from their homes, they call to solicit business hoping to get a finders fee or worse, get your personal information. This is representative of the caller: "I would like to speak with you about a personal loan" (nope, I submitted application specifically about home equity). Caller tried to answer questions about home equity and could not, interrupted to put her "husband" on phone. A baby was crying in background... no answers... no info, just "I am sure we can help you get a personal loan." LendingTree is simply an umbrella with "associates" that have no knowledge of what one is seeking. Site ran like of a "dating site" with "cuties" trying to connect you with their pay for play webcam site.

I have been working on my credit for months. I visited LendingTree to see what my financing options are for an automobile. It clearly stated that only a soft pull would be performed. That is the only reason I gave them my information. Now they have sent my information to several lenders and I have had several hard pulls without my permission. I will looking into legal action. I did not authorize my information to be used to apply for a loan. This is identity theft.

I went through the LendingTree process that specifically states that it will not affect your credit score. I received two hard hits which lowered my TransUnion score. This is misleading and fraudulent. Now to control the spam in my email.

If you have a good or excellent credit rating (750+) Do Not Use Lending Tree for anything but research for the best Credit Card offers. Their Loan affiliates and other Lenders are rip-off artists offering extremely high interest rate loans with short terms of loan payback lengths. It had not been 2 hours since I hit the enter button when I was inundated with emails, texts and cell phone calls from lenders I had no intention of doing business with (with the high rates they were offering). I laughed.

I am looking for a car loan. I am 43 raising a 12 and 11 yr. Old and need a car to take them to where they need to go, I live for my children. My children have places they want to go for school and without my ability to get them to these places they miss out. I don't think that is very fair for them to miss out. They deserve every opportunity I had as a child their age to make great grades and succeed.

I applied for a debt consolidation loan through LendingTree website. I got a pre-approval instantly. I then had to email them last 2 recent copies of my pay stub & previous year tax w2 form that they requested. Within 2 days I had the final approval & funds transferred to my bank. I think with so many negative comment reviews it’s because a lot of people don’t show they make enough money (debt to income ratios) to pay the loan back or they can’t provide the adequate documents requested. My only complaint would be they took $500 out of my loan proceeds (to cover administrative costs) which I didn’t think was fair since I’m paying very high interest rate which will generate over $3,000 in profit to their investors on my loan in 3 years but even so this loan term will help me see the light on some high balance credit cards that would have taken me 10 years to pay off & now it’s only 3 years on this loan.

I submitted my information to LendingTree with the sole purpose of finding out what might be available in the way of a refinancing of an auto loan, consolidation loan, etc. I had no intention of applying for anything, however, until after I had talked with a local banker that I know. However, one of the forms I submitted was apparently a request for credit, which I didn't realize until I received a notice from a company that I had been turned down. I called the company, and the representative with whom I spoke said that this happens quite frequently from people who have accounts with LendingTree; he suggested that I call them to see what they could do to resolve the problem. I did so; the representative was very accommodating by deleting the inquiry that I never meant to file as well as my account altogether.

I can't believe this company hasn't been shut down by class action lawsuits by now. Just curious to see what it would tell me on a mortgage, clicked through the LendingTree website and signed up during break time at work. Within 15 seconds of my last click I get my first phone call from a lender. Within 24 hours they had my Verizon voicemail completely full. I'm blocking numbers left and right since I'm at work and can't deal with all the calls. I filled out a helpdesk request with them to remove me from their list. Since receiving their email saying they will put me on a block list, I've gotten 19 more calls, 5 more voicemails, and an email. They are constantly texting me too. This is abusive harassment. This company should shut down permanently.

I did a quick Google search today for a calculator that could take my income and estimate the loan I could potentially receive for a house. I clicked on the Lending Tree link because it said it was free and would not impact my credit, and it was a familiar name. Creating an account was required, but it also asked for the last 4 of my social which should have been a HUGE red flag. The site had come across as benign so I ignored it. Maybe an hour later I started receiving tons of calls and a text from SeatGeek (no idea what that is). Suspicious, I logged into the account, clicked on "Loan Requests" and saw THERE WERE 4 REQUESTS FOR $117,000 IN HOME LOANS SENT OUT.

I did a Google search to get average re-fi rates and LendingTree was a search result and presented a page to get average rates NOT to be contacted by mortgage lenders. They bait and switch you on the website so they can get your contact information and blast it out to 1000's of lenders who immediately start calling and emailing. I must have received 50 calls a day for 3 days. So I called and told them to block my number and they said they would but the calls kept coming. At night, on Saturdays, all the time. Very annoying. They get revenue by providing leads to mortgage lenders so they trick people into giving up their contact info. Sleazy operation.

Investing in LendingTree is a money in, no money out experience. They refuse to pay any of your principal out, even after it is freed up with the involved loans being repaid. They simply hold the money in a non-interest bearing account. Forget about ever receiving any of the supposed interest return, those funds never are released. I notified LendingTree over a year ago to close my account; so far not one cent has been paid to me, even though there are uninvested funds held by them. Calling is a joke; I waited over an hour with a constant recorded message saying everyone was on the phone; so it was never answered. I strongly recommend that on investment be placed with LendingTree under any circumstances unless you want the funds held effectively forever, so you never receive your principal back nor any of the supposed investment return on your principal.

I applied with a personal loan with this company and was turned down, I have some late payments, and a lot of inquiries from searching for a lender to help me, credit scores are 640-612-621. I, like a lot of others have fallen into the installment loan trap and was just looking for a lender willing to take a chance on me and pay off those debts where I would have had just one payment a month. When searching for loans for people with poor credit this company is at the top of the Google search, but don't expect to be able to grab an apple from this tree. I wish that there was truly a lender out there that really caters to people with poor credit who are trying to get their lives back in order, this company was not that for me.

I recently tried to write a review of Allied Mortgage who had 5 stars on Lending Tree. I explained that I am a veteran and my spouse is a minority and we were looking for a VA Loan to replace a 1st and 2nd mortgage on our main residence. After the hurricane last year our current loan holder is allowing us to refinance with them or go elsewhere. We were told my credit score was 610 and they needed a minimum of 630 to refinance with Allied. I have Experian and my credit score is 670 while my wife's is over 700. Now when that bridge is crossed we are told that our modification with my current lender is not from the hurricane, which it is. The process has taken 3 of 4 months and we just want everything done. When we tried to put this in a review with 2 stars for Allied, Lending Tree denied the review. Is this how Allied has a 5 star rating?

I have been treated fair. The people have been very nice and helpful to me. LendingTree has helped me get my life and credit better. I can't thank them enough. I will tell friends and family to go to Lending ???? for all their loans and help. Thank you.

Don't believe the screen that says "This won't affect your credit". I had my credit score open while my husband filled out the LendingTree inquiry and I watched it happen. He clicked "Submit" and my credit score went down immediately. I refuse to do business with anybody who is going to lie to me right off the bat!

I wish I would have read all these reviews before looking at the website. All I wanted was to check rates on refinancing of my car. Had no idea that this would result in having hard pulls on my credit. If they had somewhere on this form that my credit was going to be pulled and maybe many many times never would I have agreed. Shortly after I fill in the form I received an alert that my credit was pulled. Called lending tree immediately ask them to take my information down and the women assured me that I would only have "one" credit pull. Not the case another credit pull the next day appeared. This could totally ruin your credit. Now I spoke to a supervisor and was informed that all these hard pulls would be deleted except for one if I did not shop around for a car loan in 14 days - hopefully this manager is right. This is just wrong and totally unacceptable.

They promise to show you how much house you can afford by entering some information and without your explicit consent, they immediately sell your number and email address to many third-parties that begin to harass you constantly. If you fill out your "opt out" form, they will tell you that this harassment will stop in 72 hours, but it does not end. It never ends!

If I could give Lending Tree zero stars I would. I have used Lending Tree before to determine what loans and rates I would qualify for as it promises to not have a hard inquiry or affect my credit. Well yesterday I decided to see what I would qualify in the form of an auto loan. I logged in and went through the normal process where it says it won't affect my credit and sure enough a lender pulled a hard inquiry. There is very fine print at the bottom of the confirmation to submit that states that the lenders may pull a hard inquiry. It is a VERY misleading business practice and I would advise staying away from them.

I had a very poor experience with LendingTree - I submitted some information online to view quotes that were gated by a form, and at the end of it I noticed in fine print that I had 'consented to contacted' by agents. Not only was this not true, there was no actual way to opt out of this - at least nothing that was made clear or easily accessible. Over the next few days, I was repeatedly called and texted by folks - sometimes not even able to pick up before they'd hang up. A lot of these numbers were also hidden or marked as 'Scam likely'.

Pretty cool, so far so good! Thanks for whoever invented this website!! It's very convenient and easily accessible on my phone. Hopefully I can get what I need out of this website, so far no lucky but I have poor credit so what can you say! Otherwise, still great website.

I’m very disappointed in the idea your business thinks it’s ok to e-mail loan approval and then there isn’t one and the whole time the process keeps dinging the credit score!! Not cool. Maybe the process should be a little more clear especially when we tapping credit scores with such a high impact and it says there are several lenders and mine seems to be being accessed by all and half of them I haven’t even authorized.

Need help with moving expenses, which is hard for me to ask. And making sure my child is fed in the process. I have a job that's forcing me to chase down a paycheck since I've moved as well. This would help the start-up costs with moving into a new place as well.

Never got that far!!!??? I wanted information about the harp program and never got it. What must I do to get the information that I requested??? It is very stressful. It would be very good to put a telephone number on the form. Then people will be able to reach out to you and get information requested.

Disappointed. Applied for a $5,000 loan to have my house painted. When the funds were deposited in my account, it was $300 short. Called to get an explanation. Was told there was a $300 original application fee that was on my original application. Called twice more to get a copy of my original application, so I could see it in black and white. I was told that they cannot do that. Also told that it was on the Truth in Lending Statement, which I didn't get until after the loan approval. That's kind of convenient. Total Scam!!!

Didn't get any fund offers beyond payday loans. I have a shipment waiting for me and cannot get the funds to obtain it and now it will be accruing interest on storage fees which will eventually consume the value of the shipment. Without this shipment I cannot start my business and continue to move forward. Starting over is such a bear.

I like how fast your pages download. I don't have to wait very long for a respond. Even if I don't get Loan you guys always redirect me to another available site and you guys don't have all those surveys other sites have. I also like the fact that your site doesn't have all those popups and advertisement asking to choose this and that before they can process anything.
