Silver Purchase - My representative was Kelly **, and I found her to be very pleasant, informative and professional. Her Personal Touch was also quite refreshing and I enjoyed doing business with her.

Arron was kind, informative, and patient with my many questions. As I was taking the time to get my money up and decide what to do, Arron didn't hound me, which I really appreciate, but only called once in a while. Once I made the decision, Arron made sure I had all the information I needed, moved through the process quickly and kept in touch as I waited for my silver to be delivered. I look forward to to a long (hopefully not too long) and pleasant relationship with Lear Capital, as I wait for my investment to to peak. Yes, I recently purchased gold & silver coins. And I don't appreciate the "huge" mark-up I was charged. I paid approx. 530$ per gold coin, that was only worth 328$ at current prices. Not a good deal! My coins would "have" to increase 50: percent just to break even!

The entire process went very well. The Lear Capital Agent, Matt **, was not only very informative while helping me through the process, he did an excellent series of follow-up though the entire process including an after delivery follow-up. I am looking forward to placing another order when finances permit.

Lear was the first precious metals supplier I dealt with, and the first I ever ordered product from. I enjoyed working with Pierre **, who is clearly very knowledgeable in the industry and no doubt one of the "rainmakers" on the Lear Team. Hogan** was very helpful in order execution, as well. My only negative comment: While I got what I believed was good value on the 100 generic rounds I purchased from Lear, having now learned a good deal more it seems that you're a bit high on your pricing. Otherwise, it was a very good consumer experience. You're on my short list of online metals sources and I will continue to check regularly for future opportunities to work together.

Troy explained everything in detail. I was treated as a human being and not a number, especially when I did not understand, so he would explain again. Truly hard to find someone who does this anymore. It made me feel secure in knowing how this process works.

I had a pleasant experience with my sales rep Dave. He answered all my questions and has followed up after the delivery. I did have to have Dave explain a few things to me which he did to my satisfaction.

The people I with were very knowledgable and helpful. I was often concerned with the length of time each step took, but eventually the process was completed, and my purchase price for the silver was locked in, even as the value rose.

My experience has been very pleasant. Rod explained everything to us before we actually did our transfer. Would recommend Lear Capital to my friends and family. The communication is terrific. Wish I had done this years ago.

Updated on 03/27/2019: I see that my case says it was resolved off of the ConsumerAffairs site. Yes I did receive a thank you from Lear Capital for being able to resolve my concerns, which they did not do. I'm still quite dissatisfied with the way I was treated. You can go back to my original review "Misunderstood" for particulars but I would not recommend this company to any of friends. I can't believe that I was just brushed aside and replaced by positive experiences other people had. Good luck and watch the valuation of the products you buy.

Customer service from Lear Capital is excellent, this can not be overstated. Dana ** and Conor ** were just straightforward and factual people to deal with. Any questions that I had regarding a purchase were either answered during the initial conversation or followed up with a return phone call within a few minutes. Many companies brag about customer service, but Lear Capital definitely has it as their standard operating procedure. Thank you.

Account exec was very helpful, however, he was out of the office for a period of time & had arranged for someone in the IRA Department to handle the RMD in his absence. Because of exchanging inventory which took longer to settle that went beyond the end of the year we missed the withdrawal for 2018. We have been promised a reimbursement if we are not bale to get an exemption for the penalty from the IRS.

I called Charlie ** one morning after looking at several different precious metals investment firms online. I had never invested in metals before. He walked me through everything and explained things as many times as he had to, to help me understand the world of investing in metals and how the market works. I felt very secure with what he had laid out for me. My coins were shipped and received quicker than I thought! The packaging was perfect. Recently purchased silver rounds which I will be continuing for my grandchildren. Your company was recommended to me and I found the transaction easy and the website informative. The only real problem I had I was not able to use my debit card to finalize the purchase so I sent a check as instructed. due to the timeline I did have to go to APMEX to also order rounds so they would be here by Christmas. I will continue to order them from you now that I know the timelines but it is a bit inconvenient.

This is something totally new for me, something I had never considered doing. I was very nervous about it but after speaking to the adviser several times I felt more at ease. I was surprised when I saw the invoice and noticed the shipping charged. I thought shipping was free in orders over $20,000.00.

Gold and Silver Price Was Too High - This was my first time buying gold and silver and after checking other companies realized The Price I paid for .3334 oz of gold at $664 wasn't the best investment. I would have preferred the 1 oz gold Maple leaf, as that was a better investment. ITM Trading is selling their 1 oz Maple leaf for $1332.10 and I was under the impression that Lear price matches...

With my most recent investment everything went very smooth however my only comment is that I was surprised that I did was not contacted in any way regarding shipping and or receiving. I believe when I purchased silver before there was emails and/or a phone call during the tracking and delivery process. For me these investments are not a minor transaction so the notifications or calls are very reassuring. Overall a smooth transaction.

Representatives were a little more aggressive than I like, almost to the point of me opting for a different firm. It could just be the nature of your business. Shipping took a while but I got my metals and all is well. Overall good experience.

I had one order with Lear, the coins that were discussed and priced were not the coins received. We spoke of 2017 and 2018 coins. When the order arrived they were 2015 and 2012 coins, two of the highest mintage years. When they tried to make this right and again we spoke of different years, they again sent a high mintage year of 2016. The paperwork read they selected the years, other than what the original coins were that were spoke of. For me that is two strikes of dishonesty.

Was a little leary of buying silver. Don't have a lot of money but I have invested in other types of things, which did not give me any kind of return, but I'm happy to say that I feel really positive about the silver. I'm a small investor, and I've been treat exceptional by the employees of Lear. The reason I decided to deal with Lear is because they are in partnership with the huckabee show. The company you keep matters to me. I absolutely love the way they conduct their business. I'm also in the loop, I know exactly when and what is going on with my orders. I've have not had any problems whatsoever, and I appreciate that they have kept the process simple. And thank Jason who sends me emails to keep informed.

I ordered some silver coins, but had some life changes. Needed the money back. I cancelled the order prior to being notified that any shipment had taken place. Two things happened from the two people I had contact with from Lear: one person called and left a message that they were going to get lawyers involved, and the other one called on a line that had 'no caller ID' and told me I had to accept their shipment. I do not agree with either assessment. I will admit I'm living in a house that gets very little cell reception so it has been difficult for them and myself to make contact to talk. We were able to email back and forth earlier, but apparently that isn't a medium they will use now.

First Precious Metal Purchase - I trust What Terry told me at Lear Capital, because I have studied what's going in my own time. Things are changing in America and I feel I made the right purchase and Lear as my agent. When it comes time to sell back I know they will be there and treat me as a continued customer.

I have no knowledge of coins. Raad explained in great details how to invest, strategies etc. I felt no pressure. He was patient with me. He made me feel confident. He continued to follow up. I received my shipment. My husband seemed pleased. I would recommend anyone to visit and think about investing.

The sales person was 200% on his game. I have never purchased gold or silver before and knew very little. He was smooth and every time I questioned him, he had a quick answer that made me feel like if I didn't purchase as many coins has I could (20% of my savings), I would lose my money when the stock market crashes. He was extremely persistent and I am sure he did everything that he was trained to do. I originally contacted Lear because I wanted to buy silver bullion bars. He gave me multiple reasons why buying silver bars was a bad idea and I should buy numismatic coins. I told him I wanted to think about it and he told me that the coins were an exceptional deal and they would be gone by the end of the day.

Was very pleased with the overall experience. One thing that I did not like was that the representative did not mention the annual fees associated with the silver IRA. I was OK with the fees, just were not mentioned beforehand.

Worst experience I have ever had with a financial institute. After several e-mail requests, I'm still waiting for answers to my questions. Makes my opinion of Lear Capital very suspect. Next move will probably be legal action. I highly discourage anyone from dealing with Lear Capital.

I ordered 116 1 oz coins and 74 1.5 oz coins. I got five tubes of 20 1 oz coins, one tube of 16 1 oz coins 4 tubes of 15 1.5 coins AND 14 plastic bags of one 1.5 oz coin each instead of one tube of 14 1.5 coins??? Because of this, I had to call back and asked for a tube.

Last year I had 83,000,00 I wanted to invest in something that I could count on for my granddaughter's college education. So when I seen Lear Capital on Fox News, I thought they were advertising on the best news station so that gave me some comfort. I was dealing with Derek **, then Dereck ** last year. Now it is Dereck ** account executor. When I got my invoice from the Delaware depositor I only had about 47,000, I was outraged and told them so of course after he calmed me down he said he was Jeremy **. He was understanding about me having only 3 months to live because of cancer and my granddaughter will have no one. So could he please give my 80.000.00 dollars back so I could put in in fast money investments, and I ask him to please do what was right, but he said I could only get 47,000,00. 1/2 gone and I will never get it back.

In October 2009 I purchase $21000 in gold coins through Account Rep Robert **, I wanted gold as a hedge, I could not see coins as the way to go, however, Robert Assured me this was the best investment strategy for the future. Well here I am 9 years later and need to sell my gold coins... I am devastated, the highest offer from gold coin buyers was $3100 for exactly half of my great investment. My 401K has gone up an average 7.25% in this same period, a decline of 78%. Don't ask how I feel about losing this much value on gold I was SOLD on being the best investment. Do your homework. I am 75 years old and broken that I have reduced mine and my spouse invest in one sector... I will not stop telling others of this complete ruse.

The value of my investment went down almost 35-40% the day after it was invested. (His commission? Really? Not even realistic.) I made a couple of calls to my adviser right after but never heard back from him. Guess he got my money and then moved on to another sucker.

I have been purchasing precious metals from Lear Capital from Calvin ** for a few years. Calvin has provided great service. My last experience however was the opposite of this service. I transferred $53,924.00 from an existing IRA to add to my precious metals IRA that I have been doing with Lear and Strata Trust. I got a call from Alex ** in Calvin’s absence saying that my transferred funds had arrived. Our conversation was around my wanting 47 – 1 ounce American Eagles. Alex said he can do “denominations” of ¼ ounce for the same deal with no premium and that I would buy at spot price of $1150.00. What we agreed to, (which was 47 ounces of Gold whether in 1 ounce or ¼ ounce coins) was not what was conveyed in the fast talking “confirmation” that got recorded. Rather I got charged $1928.57 per ounce and received only 28 ounces.

Very excellent information on quotes and excellent follow through on orders. Good information on helping in buying metals like silver and gold. Excellent information on bullion and proof metals. My rep Gary ** continued to help me make the right choices.

My experience with the ordering and receiving process of our shipments of gold and silver was extraordinary! First of all Kelly ** was extremely patient with me as this was the first time I had purchased gold and silver. Kelly worked with me for several months before I felt comfortable with the process! When we finally decided to order, she was very helpful with describing the market and fluctuations. She carefully described how to safeguard and store the purchase. My only surprise was the weight and bulk of the shipment. I would give Kelly a superior rating on her service.

My experience w/ the account executive was very satisfactory. I am a novice to the process & was talked thru it at a level l could understand & make decisions on. The purchase amount/investment was significant to me. While l’m sure Todd deals in much larger dollar amounts on a regular basis, he took all the time required to make me feel confident in the process.

I ordered wanting to ship to a third party. Somehow the shipping instructions got confused and product was delivered at my address. Between fed-ex and LCI, product was re-routed and received correctly within 48 hrs.

Coins and 10 ounce bars were high quality. The 100 ounce bars were different sizes looking like the came from different mints and some of them had copper deposits on the surface. Not happy with the quality of the 100 ounce bars.

I was convinced that Silver coins were the way to go and wait 3-5 yrs. I immediately lost $120K on the initial investment when it was deposited in Strata. I was told that is because Strata can only go by the weight not the worth. One year later they are telling the coins are only worth their weight - nothing more. They want me to move to Platinum bullion. How many people have been ripped off this way? They are professionals at ripping people off. How they sleep at night I don't know. Karma will have its way.

I worked with two people in getting my 401k transferred into precious metals in my IRA. They were Derek and Erick. I thought they did a superb job. They did the calling with me to the administrator of my 401k and helped me get it transferred and shipping of documents was pretty quick. They answered my questions without making me feel pressured.

I was notified by my Customer Account Agent that he felt bad that the silver purchased previously had not recovered and that the best move was to transfer existing account into platinum that they felt was going to move in the near future. I lost $44,000 on the initial trade into silver as a result of nothing more than the purchase. Now my IRA has lost another $16,000 dollars due to purchasing the platinum. That was a 44 percent cost to purchase the silver and now another 31 percent to purchase the platinum. I have lost faith in this company due to failure by them to notify me of the large cost of nothing more than the purchase with little hope of recovery in the near future. IRA is now down $64,000 dollars due to their guidance and failure to communicate upfront cost which are excessive... I am not a happy camper.

60 Canadian snowy owl silver coins. I was led [byTV ads} to believe I would get more complimentary coins than I actually received. Then told by Joe that he would take care of this discrepancy, but did not. I later was told that my purchase was not large enough to qualify for that promotion. Your TV ads are not adequately explained. Other than that it was a good transaction.

Your managers are first rate saleman that know the buttons to push to get you where they want your to go. They stress they are not your financial planner yet led me at my option based on a combination of your advertising and the agent they lead you down the trail they want you to follow. To the novice like me they took my $90,000. mutual funds and reduced my investment in gold down to $21,000. The Silver Falcon was a bust from the beginning and I predict it will remain so yet that is the one being "pushed". Never again!

I made a mistake on this transaction but was not allowed to cancel after I realized it. I made a decision too quickly and learned a valuable lesson to think things through thoroughly before making a commitment.

Evasive information not honest transaction as I paid way over spot. Also I had to pay 1200 to have a delivery. I feel that I was taken advantage of even though in the beginning I was treated nicely. At the end I was allowed Four minutes to speak. I still do not know what I paid for each coin and how much the commission was.

Mostly a good experience purchasing silver over the phone through Dana **. Although I felt he was a little too rushed and aggressive as well as occasionally impatient, we were able to accomplish the buy/sell.

What can I say? I only had only the most pleasant experience talking to Derek **, Senior Account Representative for Lear Capital. When I received the call, it was intended for someone else at my apartment but he wasn't ready to take the call so I took it. Now, normally, I wouldn't give the time or opportunity for a marketing call, but this was different. I had recently come into some money my dad left me after he passed away and so I decided to hear Derek out. He had the most pleasant voice, extremely professional and knowledgeable. He wasn't pushy at all. He always returned my phone calls and answered every question I had with quick follow through. He was amazing. I would have liked to have met him in person.

Lev and his team were very helpful in the whole process of the IRA transfer and actually getting me set up in the silver purchase. The whole team was very much on point kept me up to date with the progress until the task was complete. I never felt pressured but the attention to detail and time was great. Thanks to these people.

I contacted Lear Capital in December 2016 to purchase some gold bullion. I talked with Andrew ** initially and told him what I wanted. He referred me to Dana **. I told Dana I wanted to purchase $55,176 worth of gold bullion. He did everything to pressure me from buying the gold. He told me the numismatic silver had the best value. I still wanted to purchase gold and Dana would not accept my request. Dana continued to push the silver and I finally gave in and purchased 1200 Polar Bear and Cub, 1.5-ounce silver coins for $45.98 each. The next day I analyzed the market prices for silver and called Dana telling him I wanted to change my order to gold. He told me these coins were rare, had a numismatic valve, and that commanded a higher price.

I was a newcomer in buying precious metals and researched many companies before buying. There were a very few that might have been cheaper to buy from, but those companies were not highly rated. Lear Capital is highly reputable, explained in detail which type of coins might have the best returns, and were patient with me. They worked with me to get the best possible deal. I purchased a lot of gold and silver in special Royal Canadian Mint coins made just for Lear (they said). Called Polar Bears several years ago in 2015 from Lear based on all of the hype at the time from many reputable sources that the market was on the verge of a crash (again) and that gold is so undervalued and the price manipulated to keep it way down from what it should be considering the mass overprinting of dollars by the Fed which is true, and pundits were saying gold would go through the roof within a year as the markets crashed.

The procedure in seeking information, obtaining instructions for proceeding, implementing the process was thoroughly explained and flawlessly and expeditiously completed. The only downside was after examining the formal sales agreement and finding it very negative in tone regarding trusting the advices of a sales representative. The sales agent was understanding and helpful in restoring faith in the transaction.

Updated on 2/22/2021: We bought Silver Coins a few years ago, Dimitri ** was our agent. He has been awesome to work with. Whenever we have needed anything, he is always available to visit with us. My husband passed away on Thanksgiving day, I needed to cash in some of the silver;, he has made the transaction so smooth. The check was made out to Larry AND me, bank wouldn't deposit because it had to be made out to Larry AND/OR me.. Dimitri is handling things on that end to get me a new check made out correctly. We are very displeased with Lear Capital. We were misled with many things by them. We let them know up front that we did not know much about gold and silver. We were looking to protect our retirement savings, only then to be taken advantage of. Lear charged us well over 30% of our retirement upfront without properly explaining the fees and value of what they said we should buy. When we tried to cancel, our agent, Chris ** lied to us and led us to believe that the price of gold and silver had started gaining some of our money back. We found out that was in fact a lie. The gold and silver market had gone down and we had lost still more, approximately 40%, of our retirement because there was no special value to the gold and silver they sold us. We feel Lear Capital is a very bad company to do business with.

Approximately one and a half years ago I gave them $30,000.00 for silver. I was tapped but honestly don't remember them giving me any numbers regarding commission payments. I've made mistakes in my life but this was the most drastic and more than likely the most irreparable. I've never bought metal and was totally talked into it and they knew exactly what they were doing. I am a senior and it was my fault for believing anything this company has to offer. With the price of silver basically the same as it was when I bought it. I will never ever regain what I gave them along with shipping and handling and commission. Beware to any new customers. I told him that I was interested in purchasing silver, and he wanted to know my initial investment. I told him I was looking to start off somewhere between $500 to $ 1,000, and he told me that the phone line is only for people who have millions of dollars or looking to invest tens of thousands of dollars at a time. Needless to say, I will never purchase a single piece of any precious mineral from Lear Capital. They don't know my finances, and while I do have the funds to invest $10,000 and silver, it doesn't mean that I'm going to do so just because he wants to belittle me.

I'm always very pleased with Lear Capital. They are really a good group of folks to work with. They will look for great deals, and won't ever pressure you to buy something you don't think you need. Before I canceled my account I wish the person I talked with would have told to me hold on till I reach 70 1/2 years of age before taking it out. I called to purchase $50,000 in $1.00 American Silver Eagles, Alex tried to sell me half dollars and I made it clear I wanted Silver Eagles. In the recorded conversation he said very quickly American Walking Liberty coins and I did not catch it. 15 minutes later I received a email where it listed Walking Liberty half dollars. I immediately called Alex @ Lear and also emailed him clarifying I wanted the $1.00 Eagles. When I received the order it was the 50 cent 90% silver coins (AKA JUNK SILVER).

My experience to initiate my IRA transfer and initial purchase of Gold and Silver was positive. However, on review of my account via the custodian account there was a great difference (almost $19K) between my investment and the market value of my investment which caused me confusion and concern. On explanation from the Lear Capital representative it was explained to me that the value of silver before conversion to coins was considerably lower than the coin value. Since there are a variety of coins I was concerned about the value of my coins being so much higher than the market value of raw silver.

I didn't realize that it would cost me 33% of my investment simply to have you buy coins for me. I've bought through Monex, and will do so from now on. 33% is outrageous overhead. I did it because I wanted to get an IRA set up, but it would have been much smarter of me to take the cash distribution, pay the taxes on it, and buy at a MUCH MUCH smaller overhead. Now, I've lost 33% of my investment, will lose essentially the SAME AMOUNT when I DO take a distribution, and can only hope that prices of gold and silver skyrocket so that I have even a wee chance of recovering my loss.

I try to buy 5 Golden Eagle gold coins from This company, they are not just overpriced and had very bad attitude because I want to ask questions. Currently the spot price is $1264, the other gold dealer CNI only charge $40 per coin over the spot price. Lear Capital charges $136 per coin plus $10 shipping. Total $146 over spot price. The guy on the phone was very rude, he did not allow me to ask question and hung up on me. I will never buy gold from this company after experiencing this incident.

I've never dealt with a nicer group of professional people as what I found at LCI. I am looking forward to doing business with him for a long time. They are the best that I have found in the investment world.

I just wanted to write this review to let everyone else know how informative Radd had been before I made my transaction with Lear Capital and the service I had received with my purchase. It was all friendly and very professional. As for the actual delivery of the products I had ordered, was at my residence on time as specified by Radd. Lear Capital does what they say and the service they provide is second to none.

I had the pleasure of doing business with Misha **. I am very selective about who I do business with and let me tell you, if I could have given her 10 stars I would have. She is outstanding and has the best customer service skills. I had spoken to reps from other companies and just could not do business with them. She is patient, polished, knows how to sell and explained everything to me. This was my first purchase buying coins and she made me feel so comfortable and was never once pushy. She taught me so much which I am so grateful for. She built a rapport with me whereby I feel I can trust her and will continue to buy from her in the future.

As a novice in investing in precious metals the Lear Capital Representative was top notch. He answered all my questions, directed me in how to attain my goals and I felt very comfortable in our conversation. He is an asset to Lear Capital.

Extremely rude salesperson. I am very interested in investing and responded to a TV commercial. I was told that the WRONG commercial aired on the day I called, and they were giving silver coins and a catalog that day and NOT the slim/thin gold dollar, but that the lady told me she would HOLD my request until the following day when she says the Mail Room is sending out the thin, gold dollar bill samples. 5 weeks later the salesperson that keeps calling me on the phone and says Did it show up yet and I say Nope and I don't want to discuss until they keep their end of the bargain. I believe they were never indeed to send us consumers the free gold OR silver samples. HUGE SCAM! BEWARE!

I had a very nice phone conversation with Derek **. He helped me with my order as I only had a certain amount of money to spend and wanted to get a gold coin to give my grandson for his college graduation.

My wife and I have done business with Lear Capital for about 15 years. Most of that business was conducted with Chris **. Always very professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable and never pushy. Next time we decide to add to our precious metals portfolio we will be contacting Chris **.

A few years ago I thought about converting my 401k to a metals account. I had numerous conversations, and thought Lear Capital was the company to trust. After refusing to return forms I did not like the wording of, and not happy with the answers to some of my questions. I had second thoughts. These really came to a head when they called to 'finalise' the deal and they told me they charge 33% to convert to metals. We were being recorded, and I told them, "No way I will agree to this." She said (a lady with an English accent), "I will talk to my boss and see what can be done." She called back and offered a flat fee of $800. After the first conversation I wanted no part of this company, then to think they just pick and choose the fees???

I for the second time had a very good experience with Roland. He let me know there was a dip in the market and worked with me on what I wanted. I will order again as long as Roland is there to assist me.

I have always wanted to own precious metals, but I could never afford it. Now I have lost my wife and received a goodly sum as a death benefit. Lev has been so helpful and aware of how all of this works. A true professional.

I ordered 52 pre 1933 gold francs. Almost all were 1935 and younger. You replaced them with gold .25 polar bears, claiming they were of more value. I requested a letter explaining how these bears could be as valuable as old francs and never got it. I have spent about $200,000.00 in 2017 with Lear, represented by **.

So far so good. We live in crazy times and felt the need to invest in something other than the stock market or real estate and Lear Capital made it happen in an efficient, timely and secure manner. All of the company's representatives have been very responsive to our calls since we are new to the precious metals market and how it works. They have the patience to explain without being too pushy. It has only been one month since we first contacted them but again, so far so good. The silver and gold coins are beautiful and packaged very well. FedEx does a great job too.
