    HomeBridge had the best First-Time Homebuyer program and they were very nice and forthcoming with the information. My realtor got me in touch with their rep, Clay, and I really enjoyed working with him and his assistant. They were both very helpful. I could call them at any time and they were right there and had an answer for me. Clay told me what I would need and I got them together. Then everything fell into place. The rate and terms of the mortgage were okay and the entire process took a couple of weeks.

    I'm a first-time homebuyer and the seller required that we use Homebridge. Working with the originator was great. It was pretty seamless and I was happy with the outcome. They were good in answering any questions that I had and very helpful along the way. Everything was so automated. It was all online and I was able to go in and see pretty much everything. It was so user-friendly. However, there was a test or some sort of a course that needs to be taken. They should be giving that a little bit more in advance. I had already been speaking with them for some time before it was given to me.

    There were a lot of different hands in the process. But everyone just made sure that I knew that they were at my disposal and that if I can ask any questions, that they were there. It went so smoothly. My rate could have been lower because I feel like I had pretty good credit. But I know that there are a lot of factors that go into that. And as far as the other terms, they were pretty fair and I would recommend Homebridge.

    Our house was damaged during Hurricane Harvey. We accepted the forbearance and subsequent Loan Modification process and were guaranteed there would be no negative credit reporting. We have never been late on any payments. I found out they reported 3 derogatory late payments and it has dropped my score by 100 points. I have never had a late payment on my entire 25 year credit report history. This is a horrible company that will destroy your credit due to their incompetent staff. BEWARE.

    We were looking at possibly moving to a bigger house and the prices were quite high right now so we just decided to do a refinance with Homebridge so that we could put that money into the house and still be well under if we were to move. We did a new roof and gutters and we would be adding a new bathroom. The process for the refinance took a couple of weeks and was really quick. Everything was smooth and seamless and their rate was fair. I enjoyed working with Alishia, and her whole team was good. They were really on the ball with any emails, paperwork, and questions. And the e-signing was very convenient. Overall, the experience was just pleasant.

    Since I haven't applied for a mortgage since 1989, it seems that the new regulations have dramatically complicated the process of getting a mortgage. While our loan officer was great, the process of working through the seconday approval was difficult. We often felt we gave the same information in slightly different formats several times and sometimes felt that our explanations were not trusted. A late requirement for additional information caused us a lot of heartburn as it would have possibly caused us to break our contract. I don't plan on getting another mortgage, but I was, I would definitely pick a mortgage company whose reputation was for ease of doing business - our experience with Homebridge was very far from that.

    We were seeing about purchasing a house that's fit for my husband's work. At that time, I knew Clay, the representative from Homebridge Financial Services while I did office. He was very competent and able to get what we needed done. Out of all the lenders, I had come to another friend because they said they were very quick. They also told us what they could and couldn't do.

    We spoke to Homebridge over the phone and inputted everything on the computer. Their application process was very good. They got it done very quickly. The communication was very good but I missed the more personal touch, some more one-on-one face time. Still, I felt I was being very well taken care of. In fact, their loan originator was very pleasant, personable and extremely professional. We told them what rate we wanted and they got it.     I had a good experience with Homebridge Financial Services. I had a new home purchase and I submitted all the required information that the lady asked for. The application process was easy and fairly quick. And the loan originator was friendly and very nice and I'm impressed with the response times to the questions. However, I'm never happy with the rates. It was fair considering the market rate now but I still think they're always way too high for people trying to purchase a home. Also, Homebridge will sell your loan within a month and then you got to change everything and pay somebody else.

    I had worked with Fernando of Homebridge Financial on a purchase sometime earlier last year and I thought that they had a very solid team. I chose them again for my 1031 exchange. We sat down and briefly discussed the project. Then we had some emails going. It was fairly standard and hassle-free as hassle-free could be.

    So much happened on a 1031. There was a lot of material and I had to move a lot of documents from point A to point B. To whatever degree that an individual can make that easier for you was the most important piece, and they certainly did that. I thought that the electronic piece was quite good. They had a platform where I put my name on the website, and then I downloaded documents through that. It was particularly helpful for not only security reasons but also for ease. Somebody sent me an email and I did it later on in the evening. It went straight there, which made it easier than the old scanning of stuff and sending it to one person.

    I have dealt with a fair amount of transactions and they are what they are. Consumers are always looking for better terms, better interest rates, but I had realized that those things are more of a function of the market than they are of a particular lender. Homebridge has a solid platform and, at this point in time, I would totally use them again through Fernando’s shop.

    My experience with Homebridge Financial Services was great. I loved it. I was personally referred to them since I was looking for a house and I needed a loan. I did a VA loan and everything ran very smoothly and quickly. I was very surprised. They asked me for the information and I gave them all of the stuff that they needed. They submitted my stuff to underwriting on a Wednesday and that Thursday afternoon, the next day, I got the approval with conditions. I completed the conditions and I was cleared to close. We did a 30-day close.

    They say the loan officer never goes to closing and I've never had a loan officer at my closing. However, both of them were there and that was awesome that they showed up. I also like the fact that I actually paid Homebridge my mortgage payment because usually, when I get a loan, I will make my first payment to the one who took over. It's good that I actually got to stick with the company that closed me and did the whole loan. This is the third home I've purchased and this was the easiest process I had ever been through. It's amazing.

    I called Homebridge about pre-approval and they were really good and quick about everything. Their rep, Rob, was very friendly and he was very good at getting back to me all the time. Once I knew what I was preapproved for, I started looking and put an offer on a couple of houses but I didn’t have any luck with any of those. Then, I found one that was a private sale and we put an offer on it and got it. I then contacted Rob to let him know and he sent me over the paperwork. He pretty much walked me through everything. The loan officer was very good about answering any questions and calling me right back. The company’s reps were knowledgeable and they kept me in the loop on everything that was going on.     It would be an absolute God send if I could get accurate/consistent answers in 1 email. I began going through email because of all the variances I was getting when called. However; now when I ask a question (for example, my last email had 2 questions. #1 - document received? #2-making payments via phone) they indicated document received, but noted my payment due 3/1/2018 was not received. I was NOT asking if payment was received because obviously it has not - #1 not due till 3/1/2018, #2 she even gave me the wrong amount due, #3 - answer regarding making payment over the phone was not even answered. So, again, I asked about making the payment over the phone - I asked her if she even read my full email. Her response was, "Please allow email responses 24/48 hours. Michelle your numerous emails have all been received. Thanks."

    I indicated there would not be numerous emails if you actually read the whole "short" email and actually answered the questions in the 1st place!? So, now I have to wait for her to finish reading my email which only consisted of the following... "I sent this in but received no response to my email as well as my question regarding making a payment over the phone since I can’t access online. Sending it again since I get a confirmation receipt when it’s received via e-fax. I am CC you again in case they say it’s not received. I am worried about sending payment through the mail. I want confirmation that it was paid on the spot. This can’t be guaranteed thru USPS ".

    Note... is was well over 48hrs before they even replied to the prior email. So, now it's another "24-48" hrs before the 2nd part gets ready. They have harassed me beyond comprehension regarding the FEMA forbearance. Mind you, I have a VERY good pay history. (However, I am in loss mitigation???) Saying I didn't need documentation due to my location even after I FULLY offered photos and all, then sending me emails saying "on hold" pending this documentation, me sending it and them saying never received even though I have a confirmation receipt indicating it was in fact received.

    They also wanted me to hire a licensed contractor to remove trees and fix my screen on my pool cage!? Then even though their website says no fees charged, they were charging me monthly inspection fees but would not provide me with these so-called inspection papers and not allow me to review my account in detail. Thank God I noticed these charges on a statement because I complained and all of a sudden these monthly fees were credited back to my account.

    I feel sorry for another person who doesn't catch this and they are getting stuck with these costs. It took an email from a relative to finally get them to send FEMA modification papers which were delivered literally overnight. I wish to GOD they would just sell my mortgage to another company, I truly don't feel I can get worse customer service elsewhere. Never in my life have I dealt with something this horrible. I don't know how they sleep at night knowing they can't do their job and causing other people so much grief.     Homebridge Financial Services was the designated lender for our builder. It was really good to be able to do the application process for a regular loan 100% online. I didn’t have to turn over any printed paper or go to any office. Their loan officer Greg was really good and the application process finished in one month. The only thing was that some of the people that did the actual work had some questions. I had to deep-dive into some documents and at the end of the day, although the answer that I provided was a valid answer, they wanted to hear the same from my employer. They could have just gone directly to my employer to get a formal answer instead of having me dive into those papers. They could have used my time in a better way. I would also recommend that they provide an overview of the next steps. They could set up an automated system to fire emails saying what the next step is so that I’m aware.

    I really liked Josh from Homebridge rather than all the other Josh's that were hitting me up because they were kind of jerks. I did the FHA loan from Homebridge and their application process was pretty easy. We had a 15-minute call and I got all my information while we were on it. Then I sent it over to his email that he provided me and got approved in less than 24 hours. It was around the holidays and my loan wasn't going to close on time. Then, all my family was coming to town and we were expecting to be in this house. Josh took it upon himself to rent me a place that I could live in since my loan was delayed.     We were purchasing a house and we needed a loan. We talked to a couple of different people and we were recommended that we talk with Joe from HomeBridge. After talking with him, it was an easy decision. HomeBridge gathered information about what information we needed to have in order to be qualified for a loan. We went through that process and we were able to give them the information. It was very straightforward.

    I dealt with Joe the most and the satisfaction I had with him was top-notch. He did what he needed to do, he was easy to talk with and was able to assist us with every step of the way. He was able to clearly work for us. We could tell that he was very interested in doing the job. Nothing could be done any better than what Joe has done. Unfortunately, there were some things that other people within his closing department did that was frustrating. They spelled the name of my girlfriend/fiancée wrong and it appeared on the closing documents and it will always be on the closing documents now. That's a sore subject, shouldn't have been incorrect. I pointed it out to them prior to the closing and it was still wrong.

    They also put the wrong address on the document. If I’m paying for their services at the level that I have, I’m paying thousands of dollars for that, it should never have a mistake. I realized that there are humans involved when that happens but the fact that I pointed it out and it still was incorrect on the closing documents, is inexcusable. When I went to them and said, “Hey, this is a problem.” They said, “These things happen.” But Joe tried to get it changed.

    The person who sold our house was a friend of ours. She was a real estate agent in Maywood, New Jersey. And she referred us to someone who didn't have a license in Delaware who then referred us to Graham, the guy from Homebridge. Graham was always available and I liked him a lot and he was always available. I even called him a few times, unfortunately, on his way to Wildwood. Anything I asked him, he was always there for me. He never let me wait as far as texting. And for somebody who I never met, he was friendly and he earned my respect and my trust. We moved into an association called Lennar, who had their own lenders. I wanted their home but I didn't want their lenders. Homebridge is connected with Lennar, and I got a 30-year fixed rate with Graham and I told him the rates were decent enough. I needed something under four percent and he provided me with it.

    The application process with Homebridge wasn't hard at all. It involves the typical research about how much you make just to make sure you pay your mortgage. If we had questions about anything, either Graham or his help were quick to explain exactly what they needed. I was buying and selling at the same time, which is a real pain because we got a good price for our house, and it was easy to deal with the guys at Homebridge. I would recommend them, and if my brother buys a home, I would be glad to connect him with Graham.

I made all my payments and by the end of August when I still hadn't received anything I was told to go ahead and make the September payment using the amount from the trial modification. I did this sill did not receive a final modification package. Called again at the end of September was told that they had received the title search but had to verify that there were no leans. Was told to go ahead and make the October payment using the trial modification amount.

    Made the October payment, did not receive any final package made the November payment. Was told on November 9 that they had check title and just needed to run credit report and have file reviewed by underwriting. Called today and was told the same thing that I was told 3 weeks ago. Was also told that since people are off for the holidays that I may not get a final modification until January. Even though I keep being reassured that I don't have anything to worry about as long as I keep making my payments I am super stressed out and want this over with. In addition, my credit has taken a HUGE hit. If you enjoy being on hold for 45 minutes and having to call your mortgage servicer at least once a month then this company is for you! Otherwise, steer clear if possible. Two stars only because the people who I speak with are consistently polite.

    Thinking I was with a reliable company, I went with Homebridge. My story is long so here's the main points. When my lock in rate was ready to expire, I was notified that afternoon and told I had to pay the $570 fee or take a higher interest rate. No warning, and I was blamed for not knowing. I found out later from my realtor most companies extend as a courtesy. And then I didn't even make my first mortgage payment and get a letter that my mortgage has been transferred to CENLAR. Seems like just another company that gouges the little guy and didn't really care to begin with. My realtor had recommended and neither she nor I will ever give a good recommendation about this company.

    I have been going through an absolute nightmare with this servicer. In 2015 I suffered a financial hardship and requested a modification. Had to submit 4 packages, go through 3rd parties to include the BBB and am now retaining a lawyer to get the promised final agreement from them. They do not communicate with their customers, they do not follow through on anything. By this time my hardship is over, my credit has been destroyed for 2 years, I'm paying increased payments (not decreased as a modification should be) and no final anything from this company. Please don't get involved with Homebridge. Biggest mistake I've ever made. They weren't even my original mortgage company, I refinanced to get rid of some of the PMI.

    This company is the worst of the worst. Bought my house last November and it's nothing but headaches with them. Received a letter stating escrow is short 3k (been here 6months). When I called my response is, "Your bills are more than expected." Even when it made no sense to them that's what they said. Took months of me researching and calling to find the prob that title comp messed up. So I paid in full and now again three months later escrow is short. I've been on hold for hr and a half two times and no one ever picks up. They just keep sending me to limbo. This company hires inferior idiots and its customer service is something to be desired.     I currently had a mortgage on a co-op that I was selling. I tried contacting Citibank and they weren’t friendly and weren’t helpful so, I decided I’d just go with someone who will do the work for me. Our real estate agent advised us of Homebridge. We started the process by getting information and then we would get a pre-approval. We liked the agent, Christine, so much we decided that we were just going to go with them. She was very friendly and if we had any question, she would answer us. Homebridge gave us a great interest rate, so we liked that, too, from the start. We saw where their rates were from the beginning, and we’ve put faith in their rep.

    We took a 30-year fixed program and the application process was simple. It was mostly online, which is very easy because then you can send it back and forth and don’t have to mail anything and if there was any error, it was fixed right away. The whole process took about two and a half months, but it wasn’t necessarily Homebridge's fault. There were issues with our appraisal which was actually ordered by the company. The company who did the appraisal did a terrible job the first time so, they had to actually order a second appraisal. Anytime you buy a house, it is painful and especially when you’re selling the same day. But Homebridge explained everything. We will recommend Christine to any of our friends if they’re looking to buy a house.

    Homebridge Financial (Bradenton Florida) was the worst experience we have ever had trying to purchase property. Right from the start there was big communication problems!! The right hand never knew what the left hand was doing! Necessary paperwork was forwarded and lost several different times. Many unnecessary phone calls back and forth. No return of phone calls as needed as well. The main loan officer (Kyle **) didn't know our closing date! We called and called the day off until we were able to contact him to let him know so things could be finished?? In the end we had to fill out a survey before they would finalize the paperwork? We gave them an average grade in fear they would not finalize things? What was that all about?? The whole experience was simply terrible and unprofessional!! No, I would not recommend them!!!

    I bought a condo and I needed a loan, and I have a realtor friend on the island of Hawaii who referred me to Homebridge where I got a 30-year mortgage. I am still waiting to pay my first mortgage payment that’s due November 1st and I have no vessel with which to pay it. I’ve made three calls to Doug, the lender and he has not responded. There was an organization fee and he said, “I won’t charge you for that, but it will show up on your papers as something else,” and it did, about $1,500, and so I had to pay it. Then he quoted me one rate. I wanted the best rate they could get me with no points, so he quoted me 4.25 with no point. But when it all came to pass, it was 4.50. I asked him at that time, “Does that include points in my mortgage that I’ll be paying for the next 30 years?” And he hemmed and hawed about it. I had to do this all on my own. I’m getting very upset because I don’t want to be late on my very first mortgage payment.

    I was looking around and putting feelers out even though I couldn't afford to buy a house. Then the realtor that was over the house I was looking at told me about Homebridge. My lending officer was hardworking and very persistent. She made sure I got the paperwork in and when I wasn’t quite sure I wanted a loan, she was still there. So when I called that I needed to get a loan so I can get this house, we had already done most of the paperwork.

    The process was easy, especially since I was able to sign a lot of the paperwork on the internet. I didn’t have to take time off work or get off work early to run over to the office to sign anything. However, it took a total of three months since the time we started because more credit cards needed to be paid off to make my credit score higher and we had to redo my credit a couple of times. Things didn’t quite work out at the first check but my lending officer bent over backwards trying to make this work for me and that was a big deal for me. I was a stupid teenager at one point but I’ve been working on my credit and they gave me a chance. Now, I’m a homeowner at 26. I still haven’t received any kind of welcome packet though and I want to know where to make my payments, etc. I tried to look it up on the internet and I couldn’t find anything.

    We were refinancing our house and decided it would be better to get a better rate. Refinancing was quite a bit different, so it was great. Our mortgage broker works for Homebridge and she was the same person we got the original loan with. We liked working with her and got the 30-year fixed loan. The application process was fairly easy and took about a month. Our loan officer was able to give us a good deal and that was the best and most important thing. However, the most unsettling thing that I didn’t like was the fact that they immediately sold the loan. I was told that they converged with the thing that was not in the market to sell loans, and they immediately sold ours. I wasn’t really thrilled with the company they sold it to as I had bad experiences with that second company, but I was told there’s nothing I can do.

    There was a lawsuit filed against the condo I was buying which really was a placeholder for repairs.     We used Homebridge for our FHA 203K loan due to their aptitude in dealing with these specific loans; our initial experience with them was most promising, regular communication, detailed information. However as soon as those papers were signed, we had no more dealings with the staff who signed us up and instead passed through to what I can only describe as a call center environment with members of staff who quite clearly could not care less but create the illusion that they are attempting to do something helpful.

    The first issue came when our first annual review of our Escrow was performed; they sent us a check, when we queried where this came from and why, the only reason we were given at the time was, that we paid too much and our mortgage was adjusted to reflect the new changes; however, a few months down the line, when our insurances were due, it was discovered they stopped collecting for this, so we had to pay out of pocket or increase our monthly mortgage for the next 12 months to cover the shortfall due to their oversight. A pretty simple process that was handled badly and resulted in multiple phone calls and us having to resolve it ourselves. The next issue comes following Hurricane Harvey, our home got flooded; we called to inform them and were told of a 90-day forbearance and that someone would get in contact.

    We were not contacted and we had to call and speak to various departments to get better information, which turns out that, they were not prepared for this eventuality and as such would have to wait until they got instructions and processes in place; this took two weeks before we were told the most bizarre and insane process that helps nobody but Homebridge, it is as follows: A 90 day forbearance allows us to hold off paying our mortgage for three months, we won't be charged late fees, nor will a report be issued to the credit agency; however, at the end of the three months, we would have to pay it all, that's paying three months of mortgage payments plus your fourth month all in one go. Honestly, what is the point of this process? Someone thought they had a great brainwave here and everyone agreed and then implemented this useless, laughable process. Again, Homebridge creating the illusion of helping.

    The next issue is, we are lucky enough to have flood insurance (a requirement) which should pay out; the insurance checks are made payable to mortgagees and Homebridge. The Advance Payment checks process with Homebridge is pretty standard across the board with the majority of lenders; they simply endorse the check and send it back; However, here's the crazy part. If you receive any additional payments from insurance and if it exceeds $20,000; Homebridge have a different policy. First you must submit the insurance adjuster's report (provided you actually get one). Send in your contractor's estimate (which you have to sign and agree to), W9, Licence and Insurance (Incl. any subcontractors for plumbing and electrics). Complete a Homebridge claim form. Complete another Homebridge document and get it notarized.

    Finally, sign the check and send this to Homebridge. They review this (i.e. sits on someone's desk for a week, then shuffled and moved to someone else), then assuming all goes well, they place funds into an Escrow account to which only they have access and rights to distribute funds; they also will periodically send inspectors to ensure work is complete (also assuming this would be at your own expense, not theirs). Here's another problem, they lie; I'm sure it's not on purpose, it's simply down to lack of communication within their business, they make statements and then another person will make the complete opposite statement. I'm sure it's not intentional but it is sheer incompetence, regardless.

    We sent in an advance payment check from our insurance to them for signing, we did this via UPS to arrive first thing Monday morning, we did this for our own benefit, to ensure it got there ASAP and safely; however, we were told by their loss draft department that the check would be issued back in the same method it was sent in, the very words we were told. However when checking on the status five days later, we discover that checks are sent by standard mail (not tracked, nor signature required), so we had to pay them $12 to ensure when the check is issued back to us, that it's sent via UPS tracked. We were told we would get an email receipt and tracking number; we never got one (surprise, surprise!). We were also told it should be due to be sent out Friday or early Monday; I can almost guarantee, we will have to call up on Tuesday and be told it's still in process or they are waiting on us to do something.

    I very much dislike leaving reviews, especially ones of this nature but because it's only been one year with Homebridge and we have had to put up with such utter nonsense, confusion, stress, delays, lies and staff who do not have a vested interest in actually helping to make a difference; we have to wonder how can this lender continue in this manner considering their small market share and the huge options with other lenders. I am simply flabbergasted at the sheer incompetence and their inane and archaic policies that do nothing to actually better their customers in any way, shape or form but will continue to provide the illusion of caring and being helpful. Respectfully, a very disheartened customer.

    Dealing with HomeBridge has been extraordinarily difficult and profoundly stressful. I now know, first hand, how it came to be that mortgage companies caused the collapse of the housing market in 2006-07. Throughout my ongoing battle with HomeBridge, various representatives ignored questions and e-mails; refused to answer questions and provide information; refused to provide documentation; and blatantly and repeatedly lied to me - only correcting themselves when I independently secured proof they were lying.

    Despite all of this, the most astonishing problem that I encountered was that no one I spoke to knew what they were doing. I received conflicting information all the time; not only from different representatives, but from the same representative(s) at different times. Rather than do things properly, or find out what properly needed to be done, it seemed they would simply make something up; and then when that was completed and I wanted to move forward, they made something else up. I would always find myself at "square one." When everyone refused to answer my questions, provide me with the documents I wanted, or take the action I was asking them to take, they passed me off to HomeBridge's attorney - who promptly refused to answer any of my questions!

    I've never felt so disrespected, and it disgusts me that so much of my money and my home is tied to this company; a company that, aside from not wanting to deal with me - the consumer - apparently has no interest in properly servicing my account. If you are having problems with this company, know that you can submit complaints to the federal government's Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, here: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/.

    If you believe an error has occurred, they may ignore you, but they cannot ignore the law, and they must investigate the error by law if you submit a "Notice of Error".     My friend has recommended Jen from Homebridge Financial Services. She's a mortgage officer there and I was told that she was good, which she was, and she’s Chinese too. The home loan process was generally good, however there is a commitment day for the mortgage and by that day, we should have a pre-approved mortgage but we didn’t have it. It would be better if there are two days for it. Even though the mortgage officer promised me that there will be no problems, as a lawyer, I did not feel comfortable without having the mortgage fully approved. There’s still a risk that something might happen and the mortgage won’t be approved, and the customer would lose money. That's how the company operates and although I had a pretty good experience with Homebridge, there is room for improvement.

    I was looking for a mortgage for a new house and the agent that I was working with was not getting the feedback as quickly as I wanted. The agent knows somebody from HomeBridge, so they recommended it. When I got the conventional loan, the loan officers were okay and responsive. They text or call and are very reachable all the time. However, the process was convoluted. Initially, I was told that I can do a 5% down, then 10% and at the end, it was 20% so I had to scramble to get the funds. I kept on getting, “You’ll get a better rate if you are putting more down.” But at the end of the day, I didn’t get what I wanted.

    I closed on time but they’re not the best rate that we were looking for and I've already started looking for refinancing. I recommend them, but I caution my friends that they will have to be prepared to complete the process quickly. I can’t blame HomeBridge for everything. My situation was different from when I started off with the loan against when I finished it. All in all, they’re okay but I could have gotten a better rate from someone else and they need to work on that.

    We went to Homebridge first and we couldn’t find used homes so we went to KB Home and we were going to buy a new home. We went through the process over there first but after the final price of everything, we decided that it was too expensive for us for a used home. That’s when we went back to Homebridge. They are building crazy over here in Vegas again and prices are skyrocketing. It was really tough to find a home. We looked at so many homes and were just getting discouraged.     I live in Orlando, FL. Our state suffered a hurricane on 9-11-2017. I have been a homeowner for 5 yrs and this is my first major hurricane in my home. I suffered damage to my home (minor). I contact Homebridge due to a few of my neighbor's mortgage payments have been suspended up to 3 months due to Florida was declared a disaster state. I was told that if I want to skip the month of October that would be ok but come November I would have to pay October and November. What sense does that make? If I have to pay for damages on my home why would I want to skip a month and then pay double the following month does not add up whatsoever. I am beyond upset they do not care about me nor my home. They are no help to homeowners. I am stuck with them until I refinance which I don't plan on doing no time soon. I would not recommend anyone to Homebridge.

    I did a 203K home renovation Refinance through Homebridge. This is a complex loan and my team at Homebridge is doing a great job. I didn't always hear exactly what I wanted to hear and I think that is what makes Homebridge different from companies like Quicken. I called today to receive a forbearance on my loan for 90 days because of the hurricane and I was told that I could receive the forbearance period but would have to pay all of it back on the fourth month. How is this supposed to help people. This is not a true forbearance. This company is shady. Stay away.

    Homebridge Financial Services was recommended by a friend. I purchased a home and went with a 30-year FHA loan program with them. The application process took two weeks and was very easy. The loan officer was awesome and amazing. He reads my text messages and responds to my emails. When I don’t understand what I needed, he really clarified it and he talked to me like a kindergarten.     I am completely shocked at the great reviews I have read about "Team Huntley" w/ Homebridge Financial, Santa Rosa. Our experience has been a complete nightmare. Never have I ever experienced such unethical and unprofessional service. We have been working on a 203k loan with these people since March of this year. Complete communication in the beginning. After they get your business, no communication or guidance as your loan rep. Wasted our time and we will probably lose the deal due to their lack to perform.

    These people seem to always be on vacation, wasting weeks of escrow. It seems as if they have no interest in completing the loan. Have several "congratulations on loan approval " emails, but then we are ask for the same information several times and now apparently, we are having a difficult time getting us approved, AGAIN. At this time we wait, to see what becomes of this. Would have never wasted time if I had known we were going to get treated like this and given the run around, for months. Never again, will I ever do business with this firm. It's almost as if they are the cash buyer backup, and they want us to go away. Absolute JOKE!!!

    I would rate my entire experience with Prospect as Five Star except for the appraisal. Every house on his list of comparisons was on a busy street (Patterson, Cambridge, etc.) except for one. That one was sold for $200,000 more than the others because buyers consider quiet street to be more desirable - dah! (child safety, quietness, traffic, etc.). I'm appalled that Prospect would not blackball this appraiser as I'm sure you have many choices. Keep up the good work in all other areas.

    I have a mortgage, unfortunately, with this company that I can only say is the most ignorant, incompetent people I ever spoke with.     My experience with Prospect Mortgage was good. I got a conventional loan from them, but there was a problem when we did the closing. It was an error on the part of Prospect Mortgage. One of the ladies entered a different number. As opposed to calculating three months, she calculated it for two months, which made the closing cost change the last minute and I wasn’t told about it ahead of time. That created an issue. Now, I have to pay $900 more. That was an unexpected expense that I wasn’t really aware of.

    Sheryl, the consultant that I was talking to who did the loan for me wasn't aware of it, but she talked to the woman that made the mistake. The woman didn’t want to own up to it. I was very upset with it. The person that is punching up the numbers for the closing cost needs to be aware of the details and not just blindly enter a number and then end of the story, and then the mistake is done, and the client has to pay for it. This is my first time buying a house and I wasn’t expecting that kind of response. It was very unfortunate. I’m not dissatisfied with Sheryl. She helped me out throughout the loan and she explained properly. She did a good job. However, because of what happened at the end, I wouldn’t recommend Prospect to someone else. I wouldn’t want a friend of mine to experience what I’ve experienced.

    The application process with Prospect Mortgage was pretty easy. We've done most of it all through the computer and they brought down to us to the house when we went through it and we signed the papers. The loan officer was also very courteous. I don't know whose responsibility it was with the home warranty but we were told that they were putting the basic plan on there and they said it covers the big things. And that's all we need. But we were also told it was way too expensive to get the best one. When I got the policy, I looked at it. It was only $220 more for the most expensive one. So I called them up and complained about it and got it switched over. Also, the inspectors didn't really check the house that good enough, 'cause we found quite a few problems with it.

One of the loan officers (Christy **) gave all of my information to the man that my mom was dating/boyfriend.     My wife and I found the home of our dreams and wanted to buy it and renovate it to our liking as it was VERY outdated. We started the process with our local office in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, and a fellow named John **. At first he was a real gem, in the rough, but a real confidant, and knowledgeable. As the process started to gather steam, we were asked to provide the usual documentation and then some, but figured that since HUD was involved, that explained a lot, to me, anyway. We were told that we had to pick an "approved" 203k contractor, do walkthroughs with him or her, (this turned out to NOT be true) submit bids, etc. 3 of the 3 contractors we were given were arrogant, uninterested, and poor at returning phone calls.

    Long story shortened, John failed to guide us through any of the process, lied, committed malpractice (possibly broke the law, at least) and he himself was VERY lacking in attention to detail like sending commitment letters to our real estate agent, moving the closing date "3" times at his pleasure, and lied again about simple things like when the appraiser was to make the final visit to the property to confirm the projected value of the home after renovations were completed. We are now in our 7th week of the process, and were informed that the closing date was attempted to be moved "again" and the appraisal that was supposed to be done and we're awaiting the results to come back to John **, in fact was never even done!! I can go on and on but suffice it to say, "WE ARE UPSET WITH JOHN ** AND PROSPECT MORTGAGE.

    Where to begin with this lender from pure h*ll? I had a perfect payment history on my credit report for YEARS until this company purchased my mortgage. I did not purposefully apply here. My loan was transferred and ever since it's been a true nightmare. They WON'T work with you in a day and age where people are foreclosing at rapid rates. If you call and request an extension of A WEEK they deny it. They DON'T offer to slip a payment during unforeseeable circumstances like a job change that then triggers a change in pay dates. They do NOTHING but report you LATE for being a DAY LATE. They won't even note their system or return calls or emails.

    I spoke to someone who told me if I wanted to pay a DAY LATE there was nothing that could be done and I'd have to complete a slew of paperwork that leaned towards a WORSE credit hit and possible denial. They speak in ebonics and are purely unprofessional. I want a new lender and now every month my payments are late because I am a week behind due to a change in my pay dates. This will go on forever. They are awful. IF YOU ARE TRANSFERRED HERE, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND REFINANCE AND GET OUT. I spent years working on my credit to get it like it was before this company caused such malice.

I assumed when we went with Prospect Mortgage, that's who we'll be sending our checks to. Our first bill came from a company named Ocwen. We haven’t even made our first payment yet and we got the letter saying that now they're going to someplace else.

    Prospect Mortgage's application process was very easy. We did the online initial process and the person that we worked with in my local area was very good. This wasn't the first time we've used them. The 203k loan was a bit more difficult than it has been in the past. I was not happy with the way that it worked out with the consultant that we were using. Other than that, everything Prospect did was very timely. They followed up very well and made sure we were on time with the closing. I was very happy with all of that process. I’m very satisfied and with my future purchases, I’d be going back to them.

    My experience with Prospect Mortgage was horrible. The broker would say anything to get you started in the process, then would not communicate anything along the way. Inquiries go to his support staff who also do not respond. I feel the broker did misrepresent several items to me, in order to get me to go forward with the mortgage, when I otherwise may have waited a little longer.

    I was also promised a $500 credit which did not happen. We missed the original closing date due to delays from Prospect Mortgage, and I did not have a formal approval until literally the day before the initial scheduled closing. Overall, the worst experience I have had with getting a mortgage (this was my 5th) to date. I will never use them again, and will be looking to refinance and go with a more reputable company as soon as possible.
