Working with Mike Stone and GoldCo staff, the entire process for setting up my GoldCo and Equity Trust IRA Accounts and placing the order for my precious metals went very smoothly with no issues. Mike was great to work with. He listened to my requirements and goals and helped me to set up the IRA to achieve them. He explained everything clearly, set accurate expectations on timeframes, prices, fees etc, and he answered all my questions. If I called, he responded in a reasonable period of time. There were no surprises or delays at all. My order was placed today and I'm now waiting delivery of my precious metals.

The whole process of learning what Goldco is about to talking with a rep to transferring funds to a new account was above and beyond what I expected. Being new to the precious metal world it can be scary navigating the waters of what exactly to do and they explained everything in an understandable way and made me feel comfortable during the whole process. I have just made my first purchase of precious metals from Goldco. My Account Executive is James Good. James has been very attentive and found the best products for my circumstances. We were aware of the reasons someone would want some precious metals in their portfolio so a lot of the frontend sales pitch wasn’t needed. That is, price of gold or silver we paid in relation to the spot price. I know the spot price is not what we would pay, after all this is a business for Goldco. I did not expect a nearly 300% markup on gold and 150% on silver.. Was not happy either that the transfer and storage of the physical gold or silver would take up to 3 months. Our previous experience with another precious metals dealer was much better.

May be biased because this was my first experience, thought that the fund transfer process between companies was a little slow. Also would have been nice if more cost information was available for the items. Staff was very accommodating in placing order.

Goldco representatives did a great job educating me about metal backed IRAs and easing my concerns about making the change to something that was very foreign to me. The process of transferring my monies from Fidelity was mostly seamless. The one snag was that I was told I could easily prorate among the different funds when liquidating when in actuality Fidelity said they can’t do percentages only exact amounts.
