Lou is extremely polite & knowledgeable about gold, silver & the process of the IRA precious metals. The only reason a 5 star was the call was 1 hour late & the metals purchase can take up to 12 weeks.

I was looking to convert some of my IRA to a gold IRA. I was speaking to two other suppliers. I decided to go with Goldco because of their quicker response, ease to make the switch, and knowledge of the contact people. They answer the phone and quick to call you back and do what they say. There were additional incentives based on the amount of dollars you moved in the account and that was a lesser consideration in using Goldco. Response and knowledge were the high priority. We are first-time metals buyers and needed a lot of answers and direction from our sales rep - David McFarlane. He provided us with much information and spent a great deal of time with us to help us with our assessments of which metals, pricing, resale valuation, etc. There were a couple times where the info we were receiving didn't make complete sense to us so we asked him to clarify which he did without hesitation. We have placed an initial order but we are still learning the ropes of this precious metals hedging process and will likely be back to Goldco for round #2 in the next 30 to 60 days, depending on how the economy and dollar do.

Goldco has probably the best customer service of any company I have done business with. They kept in touch with me through the whole process of purchasing precious metal coins, which took several weeks do to my timing, not theirs. Very friendly people and very easy to talk to. I talked with about rolling over my 457(b) to a Goldco Precious Metals IRA was very patient, answering all of my questions, explaining as many times as was needed for me to understand things better, without seeming to get impatient. Chaotic, stressful and unpleasant. The paperwork provided to transfer funds was incomplete. I inquired numerous times but received incorrect answers that resulted in an unnecessary delay plus a last minute run to the bank.This was a new experience but I was given the reassurance & expectation that at the time of metal selection, I would receive patience and a useful degree of expert guidance.But shockingly, much needed questions and clarifications were met with a great deal of agitation. I do not recommend this company for those without a very firm understanding of PMs; have an expectation of receiving pleasant and respectful help; or want to feel confident about their transaction.

Today I made my 2022 tax year contribution to my Goldco account. Everything went smoothly. After mailing in my 2022 tax year contribution, marked for the tax year 2022, I periodically checked my Equity account. Today I confirmed the amount I sent was posted as pending.
