Every body I talk to is real nice and seem to be very competent in there their jobs. Since I live out of town and have a PO box it has caused a delay in getting started, too bad. When I get living address from gas and electric we will get started. It would be better if physical address requirement is informed at the very beginning.

It took a month to transfer $25K from my Ameriprise retirement accounts to Strata Trust in order to open an self-directed IRA with Goldco doing the coin purchases. Your people: Tim ,Tony, and Ruby make a great team. I'd give them a five and a 1 for Ameriprise. Tim is a great closer. Tony gave very useful information, and Ruby ought to work at the UN for her patience, courtesy, competence, and determination.

This was a very easy transaction. I told Goldco what I wanted to purchase - gold. They did all the paperwork for me. The papers were sent to me and I signed them and sent them back. A couple of glitches were quickly solved...by Goldco, not by me. The whole experience was very good.

I've had an account with Goldco since 2014. I had a few calls from them over the years - I never got much info from whoever called...until recently. Difficult Choice when it comes to choosing which Company to go with, Carl was very helpful but would never disclose rates & fees. I did research on holding companies and decided that I didn’t want to turn 100k from a rollover into $80k or even less in people but that doesn’t help when I’ve lost 20K potentially.

Reggie and Ruby were ready to answer any questions I had pertaining to these transactions. They were courteous, patient, and thorough. There was also a man whose name I think was Marty. It was obvious they were a team in constant communication with one another. Each one knew how to reach the other for answers within a very short period of time. I would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend or relative.

Representatives were very helpful and knowledgeable in Preparing the paperwork and overnighting the documents over to me for signature. All the information I needed was included. The rollover went flawlessly.

I researched several Gold/Silver firms and chose to go with Goldco because of how genuine Kenny and Ben were. They were patient with my (probably dumb) questions, and forgiving of my procrastination. The setup process went smoothly and the financial matters were satisfactory. My only disappointment was that the originating mint/country was not listed for the coins purchased for my account. Several of the coins are unfamiliar to me, and I would appreciate knowing the mint/country of origin for each.

Updated on 04/18/2023: Goldco are con artists. Predators looking for naive investors. Go look for a reputable dealer from the Professional Numismatists Guild list, where they follow a strict code of ethics, and you can find a FAIR PRICE on metals. I don't work in the industry, I'm just sharing my experience in the hopes that I can help you avoid getting conned like I did. I will upload supporting docs if this site allows it. Goldco will sell you "collectible" premium coins at 2x to 3x (!) the melt value of the metal. How would you like to spend $100K on coins you couldn't sell the next day for $50K? That is a likely outcome if you buy from Goldco. In fairness, Goldco will buy their coins back to keep you from leaving a bad review when/if you realize your mistake, but they'll keep a 20+ % fee. You'll be so relieved that you didn't lose 40-50%, maybe you'll go away quietly, or even feel like they did you a favor. Read the 1-star reviews, they're real.

I had been reading about ways of diversifying my TSP account and came across how precious metals as gold and silver can actually protect and enhance my retirement investments and I'm very gratified that Goldco came to my rescue and hopefully my finally deciding to be part of this company will ultimately give me the satisfaction and peace of mind moving forward..with my utmost belief and trust in God that I'll not be forsaken by this action of mine. I enjoyed working with Carl Oliverio. He took his time and educated me,since this was my first venture into precious metals. After the purchase, I was disappointed that I had no feedback from anyone, as to how I was to track my investment. I would have appreciated some help in this area, as this was a sizable investment for me. I did wait for several weeks and got no follow-up from GoldCo. Does GoldCo offer a tracking tool for the customer's investment?

There were a couple of things I was concerned about after I thought about my talk and the experience with Rad Brdar. 1) I did not know that I would be holding any precious metals physically. Thought it was non physical holding of any metals-I would rather have this investment strictly an IRA without physical holdings. 2) Rad was discussing the investment of precious metals being mostly Gold in which I favored but then Rad talked about investing the money in more silver that have less return/yields than Gold lately. I understood IRA to be owner self directed with the professional advice. I would like to have 50/50 investment since Gold is having higher yield these day. I would rather invest 50% gold and 50% in other things.

I just made my third purchase from Goldco into a self directed IRA. Again, it was seamless and professional. Even during the Covid 19 work at home restrictions the staff was prompt and helpful. I have worked with several representatives over the years and all have been very knowledgeable but not pushy. They listen and provide advice but will follow instructions and at the end of the day, you get what you want.

Converted a 33k IRA account and a year later is worth 10k. Also cost $175 a year for them to store my precious minerals!?!? I have asked my representative to call me and no callback. There are no guarantees and the information provided at sign up was very misleading.

It took a while to take our money out of our retirement accounts, but once the money flowed into the self directed IRA of GOLDCO, it was handled by two professionals who contacted us and gave us our options. I was given some time to think about during which I did more research. The investment grade Metal was expensive, but I found out that this is due to the supply / demand issues the market is facing now. An independent reviewer recorded the conversation and witnessed our decision. Overall, the transaction was smooth.

Overcharged by a LOT. I worked with a senior account manager, Ben Monaci and he was very patient and on top of my questions about everything except how much I was going to pay per ounce for my precious metals. I finally got that information AFTER withdrawing funds from my 401K account and AFTER my account with Goldco was funded. I saw the price I paid and did a simple search for one of the exact same coins that the portfolio, which I found at $33 instead of $50 that I have been charged by Goldco. I have immediately lost a great deal of ground by purchasing my gold and silver for the self directed IRA with this transaction. I am highly upset and have 24 hours to cancel. That's what I am going to do now. This is no way to hide your prices.... I feel victimized.

I had a very good experience with Goldco. Hi, While that staff at Goldco are incredibly knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and provide great service, I always leave the table feeling terrible about my purchases with Goldco. Mostly because I am not a financial guru, and do not have any real experience in this industry. In order for me to feel good about my buying decisions I need to read and see in print what coins are available. I have the kind of brain that you can talk to me all day long, and I will not retain very much, but when I see it, when I read it, then, and only then I can understand it. I need to know the pricing I am getting is fair, and I need a few days to think about the coins that interest me. So far it’s really been a wham, bam, slam, that has me feeling bad about my buying decisions for various reasons.

Smooth Transfer from Employee 401K to Precious Metal IRA. This is the 3rd transfer I have done with Goldco and everything always goes so smoothly. They call me quarterly, which is the schedule I prefer, to update me and offer recommendations and then they walk thru the transfer process with me on the line and make sure everything is done correctly and to my satisfaction.

Goldco tells you to invest your money, the coins will be valued less, and when you sell you will get more money and pay less taxes. RIPOFF, when you go to sell they tell you it will take more coins to sell than the money you want and on top of this they charge you to send the money. The taxes are also equal, even though the price of gold has gone up and they were supposed to buy them back, we have lost money. Do NOT use this company, they take your money and lie!

I contacted GoldCo in 2016 regarding the Self Directed IRA for my retirement savings. They will get the metals for you, but the investment follow up afterwards is all up to you. They will assist you with setting up the IRA account. You are left to watch as the prices raise and fall and dwindle away your retirement. If you are not investment savvy, Don't Do IT! Keep your retirement in a Vanguard IRA Index Fund. I'm getting out with a huge loss of my retirement after 2 years. Go to a Wealth Management advisor before investing in metals. All that glitters isn't golden.

I'm just getting started investing in silver coins & I'm very excited from just what I have read & what I've heard about silver. My dad called to request information about purchasing gold coins and using all of his life savings and investments to do so. I called to notify Goldco that my dad had Alzheimer’s, I have power of attorney and my dad should not be contacted. I shared this in multiple conversations. I shared that by contacting my father he becomes overwhelmed and agitated. The information Goldco shares is informative but does scare a consumer about a potential market crash, and a elderly person is especially vulnerable about withdrawing retirement money to invest.

Shortly after writing the original review we were contacted by a GoldCo who was quite upset by the review. In that conversation, nothing was resolved, however, a few days later we received a followup call from the CEO. He and my wife and our Investment adviser from Edward Jones were finally able to work out the details of selling off the investment and getting checks issued. It was still a fairly long process with the final checks arriving at the beginning of February.

After only one telephone call, which I made, where the Salesman asked for my email address supposedly to just send me some marketing materials, I began to immediately thereafter receive a barrage of Junk Emails daily from ridiculous vendors for dumb things. During my one and only call, ever, the Salesman never asked for my permission to sell my email address nor did he state that Goldco was going to do so. Consequently, I will not ever buy one thing from Goldco and/or any of its affiliates much less the vendors Goldco sold my email address to. WARNING! DO NOT GIVE GOLDCO YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS! In fact, I recommend that you never have any contact with them. I'm sure they'd use your telephone number in the same way if you gave it to them. Avoid them entirely! I'll be trying to unsubscribe from these dumb emails for the rest of my life...

I received a response from Goldco the day after I posted the negative review about them because of the low value listed on my self-directed IRA account of the gold and silver coins I purchased through them. Goldco explained to me that the low value listed on my self-directed IRA website for the gold and silver coins was not their actual value, it was the melt value of the coins based on their gold and silver content. The actual value of the coins was much higher, approximately 80% of the price I paid for them. I am now completely satisfied with the service provided by Goldco.

After writing this review, I received a very friendly response back from Goldco, and the misunderstanding with the account was resolved. I now understand the GOLD and Silver Market very much more that before. Thanks to Goldco, Kevin ** and others at Goldco.

I have been reviewing my options dealing with my inherited IRA and heard of gold on the radio. After researching companies on the internet, I made the inquiry to Goldco. I've bought gold coins from Goldco on three separate occasions. Silver coins too. All told about a dozen phone calls were required. All of the "busy work" like calling my broker and arranging money transfers and filling out paper forms were handled by Goldco. I have talked to other precious metal companies and I talked to Kevin Troy from Goldco. After talking with Kevin, in great detail about buying precious metals, I felt very assured, that it was the right thing to do at this time. The process at Goldco's end was very easy and everyone at Goldco was very professional. I wish, I could say the same about my IRA's being transferred from B of A. They delayed the transfer of my IRA monies for weeks, lied to me and Goldco after I had to get a supervisor in the IRA department involved. Telling me personally it had been taken care of, when it had not. Then being lied to a second time, by B of A by telling me it was mail out on a Friday. Only to find out, they did not mail the check until the following week by jackass express.

Working with the GOLDCO seems to be a very good experience being my first time in purchasing commodities. Any and all questions I had was answered. I always receive a timely response. And I was left with my reply that they would just be one call away when I need them for any questions that may arise.

In the past after speaking with Josh L. and Brenda W. I was very satisfied with the conversations. Josh has been very good with checking on me and keeping things up to date. Yesterday I was taking a nap when Josh called and wasn't at my desk to be able to write anything down. He was very nice but I didn't quite understand and all I got out of the conversation was that I am getting Monkey coins that are supposed to be valuable. He referred me to Cherish and she was very nice also. In the meantime I walked through my house to my desk. Today after looking at the notes I wrote down while talking with Cherish, I really don't understand any more than I did before. I asked Josh to send me a picture of the Monkey coin by e-mail and he said he would, but has not done so yet.
