On 8/29/08, I set up an over the phone payment to be taken out of my checking account w Chase Auto. The payment was withdrawn from my account on 9/3/08. That was fine, I authorized that pymt. What I did not authorize was a 2nd payment on 9/9/08 to be taken out of my account! This addntl' payment Chase decided to take out was NOT authorized! This in turn caused numerous overdraft charges in my account! 12 to be exact!
I have tried to deal with these people over the phone, thru fax, any way I could. But they either hang up on me, I mysteriously get disconnected, then I call back and ask for the person I was delaing with and nobody knows who it is! I have FAXED official Bank statements showing Chase in Black and White what happened, and they are constantly making up excuses like, I could not read it, They are researching it, etc! I am being jerked around and it is not right. This has been happening for 3 weeks now, It has put me further behind on most of my bills. I am down almost a thousand dollars in my checking account because of this. I was even told by one of their reps on the phone that She saw the statements and that Chase did make an error! Did not seem to help! Her name is Jackie.
The consequences of this are I am down 1000 dollars in my bank account. My cars are on the verge of being repossesed mostly because of this. We work paycheck to paycheck and things like this happen and makes it even harder for us to get ahead. I have a wife and 2 children ages 4 and 1 month. We both work full time jobs and try to support our family, It's just real hard when Chase is stealing from us and getting away with it. This is not the American way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1 year after purchasing a 2007 Ford Taurus which was financed by Chase Auto Finance at 23.125% interest, I contacted Chase to attempt to refinance at a lower interest rate, I had paid my car note on time and in full and was hoping to get a decent rate, after filling out a credit application I was denied, even though nothing had changed since I bought the car as far as my status, only that I had paid 23.125% to them in interest for the past year,
I was told that the criteria that they use for a dealer financing was different then that for a regular ole consumer which left me puzzled and somewhat angry. These are some of the same tactics which help to cause the housing fiasco, unfair interest rates, we are bailing out the same financial institution that are milking folks like me with high interest on auto loans. NO FAIR!
Even though I have paid my car not faithfully and on time, with the high interest rate of 23.125%, I now owe more for the vehicle than the blue book value and the value will decrease constantly, so that at any time during the life of the loan if my vehicle is totalled in a car wreck even though I have paid my car notes, I will owe the finace company

I purchase a 2003 Honda CRV in May 2003. My loan was financed with Chase Auto Finance. My first payment was made 6/23/03. My payment was automatically deducted from my checking account for five years, with all payments being made on time as the checking account that the payments were deducted from had sufficient funds every time. Prior to my final payment Chase Auto Finance sent me a letter telling me that my final payment would be in the amount of $351.14. my usual monthly payments were $350.02. I made out the final payment with a check in the amount of $351.14 and sent the payment to Chase Auto Finance. They posted the payment on 5/28/08. On 5/29/08 a letter was written to me thanking me for financing my vehicle with Chase and they sent the letter enclosing my vehicle title.
On 5/30/08 a letter was sent to me detailing that there was an overpayment of $229.85 and they also enclosed a check made out to me. On 7/25/08 a letter was sent from Chase describing that they had made and error and that I needed to send them a check for $229.85. They provided me with no proof that there was an error and I questioned them in regards to this information. I also requested over the course of the following weeks that they provide with the proof necessary and a copy of my payment history.
It took Chase four weeks to provide me with a copy of my payment history and they never provided me with any other proof that I needed to send them $229.85. During which time I have received numerour phone calls and threatening letters detailing their authority to repossess my vehicle that I have in my possession. I have a letter stating that my loan has been paid in full and I also have the title to my vehicle. My problem is that at no time has Chase shown me that the amount of money that was refunded to me was not from an overpayment of interest to them.
Every day I can expect a threatening phone call or letter, or I have the concern that Chase will take action and repossess my vehicle that I have paid in full.

We were late on our payments and had made arrangements to catch them up. We were 56 days late. I know this is unacceptable but in the same tokem we were more than willing and able to catch thejm up. I became seriously ill. They called 3 or 4 times a day even though I had already made arrangements to take care of our late payments. One morning I was really down and ill. Husband works out od town so I was left to deal with the repo man all on my own.
Next day we recieved a letter informong us to take care of the payments or they would repo. Too late. The truck is gane. Why such a hurry? We had it arranged. In this day and age of financial difficulties I just wish for a little more humanity and patience. Every case is as individual as the people and sort of vehicles they choose.
Vehicle was repoed. Hubby had to fly in and miss several days of work to try to remedy the situation and get the truck back. We worked so hard to purchase it and were extremely proud of it. It caused stress and distress on our family. I have Lupus and stress is the one thing that will kill me.

We sent $200.00 0f our car payment and owed 73.01. For the 73.01 we were harrassed everyday 100 x'x a day. By the rudest, most nasty human beings.
I had e-mailed 4 x's and received reply's aknowledging my e-mail. I told every caller the check was mailed for the $73.01 to the address on the statement in Louisville Kentucky. I gave them the check number, the time, date and from where it was mailed. The harrassing, rude calls kept coming, & coming & coming & coming.
I am very sure Chase has spent in phone calls and paying the harrassers a whole lot more than 73.00.
We are going to refinance with our bank to get rid of them.
We have been unable to sleep. We have headaches, Laurence has been sick with the hives. We are just miserable. Laurences mother was killed by a speeding motorist. She was thrown 20' into the air. Her brains were all over the concrete. She suffered for weeks. It took every sent we had and then some to get to her side and bury her.
I have told Chase this. Would they not forsake all for their mother under the same circumstance? Maybe Not!!!

It all started on March 28, 2008. I purcahse my car from Royal Car Center on J & Erie Street in Philadelphia, PA. I traded in my 2000 Nissan Maxima to purcahse a 2002 Jaguar 4.0 S Type. They told me that Chase Auto Finance would be financing my vehicle. I have paid on time since I got my car not wanting to ruin my credit. Since I had my car I have had to get over $6,000.00 worth of work done and nothing seems to be covered under my warranty from Preferred Warranties, so I have been paying out of pocket expenses. Not to mention that when I first purchased my car I gave them the money for my tags, title change, registration and none of my money was sent to Harrisburg.
I received a letter when it was time to renew my registration this year and was told that I have to pay te DMV $737.00. Now back to Chase I have made made 16 consecutive payments and on July 2008 I had an incident with the parking garage that I park my car in for work. I talked to Sharon from Chase and let her know that I have never been late with a payment and that I just needed 2 weeks to pay July's payment. She informed me that everyhting would be ok and that she would update my file. That never happened. I received a letter about 3 days later stating that "The default of my contract is unacceptable and the problem will not go away and will be worsen by my refusal to acknowledge it.
Remind you I have been in contact with Chase for the past 2 weeks talking with Sharon, then it goes on to state that "YOU DO NOT HAVE THE OPTION OF POSSESSING OUR COLLATERAL WHILE FAILING TO MAKE MONTHLY PAYMENT. One payment of $324. I have made all of my payments on time and when I spoke with Sharon she yelled and screamed at me as if I was a dog on the streets. I felt so disrespected and humiliated. I'm not use to be talked to like that.
Chase employees dont have any respect for anyone. I am so about to trade my car in so that I will not have to deal with this. Chase will call you about 10 times a day and leave 5 messages threating you. This is so scary knowing that if your late with one payment that they will come and repo your car. Is this legal...

I purchased my 2006 Nissan Altima in December of 2006. It was financed through Chase Auto Finance. I had not had problems with them until June of 2008. I made my payment via their tele-check phone system as usual. A few days later, I went to my bank to get a little cash and was overdrawn $800some dollars. I went online to see why I was overdrawn (I thought I had $200 in my account AFTER my payment went through) and saw that Chase Auto Finance had charged me not once for my car payment, but THREE times, all dated for 6/23/08.
I contacted them immediately, and was told by the girl on the phone that I was not the only call she has recieved regarding this issue, and that I needed fax copies of my statements to prove it, and call back within a week and they would cut me a check. This of course meant I couldn't use my account until I recieved their check, this was unacceptable - they debited my account electronically why couldn't they put the money back electronically? I then chose to contact my bank, and they were good enought to reverse the unauthorized charges as well as the NSF fees. I thought it was over.
I began getting calls from their collections department, saying I hadn't payed my car payment, even though the first of the three charges cleared, and showed as such on my bank statement. Collections began harassing me. I spoke to someone in collections and they were very nasty to me. You don't have the money do you? You can't afford this can you?, were some of the highlights of our conversation. I explained over and over and over to this person that the first charge had cleared, and they illegally charged me three times. I was advised to make my July payment as scheduled, and to fax my statements to prove what I was saying. After a lengthy conversation the collection agent started to back down, and I think started to believe me.
A few weeks later, they CHARGED MY ACCOUNT FOR A FOURTH TIME, which I had my bank reverse. Again, the first charge earlier in the month cleared, why are they trying to charge me over and over? My statement proves the first charge cleared and the other three did not. I made my July payment, and August payment on time, and this is still ongoing. I have visited my bank many times, spoken to numerous people in Chase, have been apologized to, threatened, insulted, and harassed.
The latest is they wanted to defer July payment, though I payed it, so it would't show 30 days late, which makes no sense. I am refinancing my car through my bank as soon as this mess is straitened out. As a side note, my bank is encouraging me to hire an attorney and sue, as debiting my account for those unauthorized charges is fraud, or so I was told by a bank manager. If anyone is ever considering doing business with Chase Auto Finance, based on my experience, DON'T.

It cost me $1200 to get it back, I was not behind but the manager decided I should prepay Feb payment. He told me I was the same as a blond woman wearing fake gucci glasses because my BMW is not paid on time.
My payment is due on the 3rd, and by the 5th I receive atleast 3 calls a day. The reason for this treatment is, they took a risk on giving me a loan. A big company like chase should have better customer service standards. DO NOT FINANCE THROUGH THEM!

After a short period of holding a representative answered. How could he help me? I answered by stating I would like to do a posted check over the phone for 600.00 dated for 6/30/08. He stated that he could not do it and that I was up for repossession of my vehicle. I said to him I just made a payment about a month ago with a check and it cleared. He said that it doesnt matter and if one more check bounce they (meaning Chase) was coming to get my car. Again I said, What does this have to do with me making a post-dated payment for my May and June Invoice? Again he said that because in the past that I bounce three checks and that if I was to bounce another checked they would come and take my car.
I asked him why he was being so hostile with someone that is calling in to make a payment? He said, I ought to be use to this and that he doesnt have to accept my payment. He even stated, Chase has been to my house on several attempts to take my car. I said, I have no knowledge of this I am only calling to make a payment. Then he said, Since you want to play that he would just force me to make my payment through Western Union which will cost me more money to do. At that point I was so disrespected I hung up the phone. I decided to make the post-dated payment online.
Once that went through I called back to the same number. I spoke to a Kametria Falsom and advise her that I was calling to let them know I have a payment set up on-line to be paid on 6/30/08 and gave her the tracking number. Then I asked her to provide me with the gentlemen name that I had spoken to from the collections dept. I told her how rude he was and she apologize on behalf of the company for his behavior and the she would notate the account that I made a post-dated payment on-line and put me on a promise to pay so I would not receive any collections calls. She told me that the system showed that the collector that I spoke to user ID is MASSAGEO. I asked her to transfer me over to collections dept so I could speak with a supervisor and thanked her for her wonderful customer service.
After being on hold for about 15 minutes I was told that none of supervisors was not available and that I would have to leave a message. They called once a day everyday, and never left a message. I was thinking it was my Welcome call, after all I wasn't due until April 26th.
Finally my husband answered and he said they were calling about my car pymt, I told my husband to tell them they cashed my car pymt check so why were they calling? He told this to the rep that was calling and he said the rep mumbled something and hung up. I used to work at Wells Fargo Auto Finance, they called the day that the payment was due, and I thought that was stupid. I would prefer that [they] call me at least 1-2 days before I am getting a late fee, not 6 days before its due, when [they] fail to take into consideration that the check may already be in the mail.
I just think its stupid, and if they're going to call me a week before my payment is due, I'm going to send in a cease and desist or get on their do not call list. Its very annoying. I pay all the bills, and it makes my husband think that I'm not when we start getting calls.

In January 2003, my wife and I purchased a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and we received a 0.0% apr 60 month loan from Chase Auto Finance. Between February 2003 and April 2005 we made double and triple payments to pay down the loan as quick as possible. In April of 2005 we made our final payment and the following month (May 2005) we received the vehicle's Title. But at the same time we continued to receive bills from Chase indicating we owed $0.00. In fact over the next 31 months we would received this same type of bill indicating we owed $0.00 on a car we held the title on. Soon after receiving the title in May of 2005 we changed banks and closed the checking account we had used to pay off the auto loan. This change was due to branch localities and the saving rates and in no way had any thing to do with the Auto Loan.
In January of 2008 we received a bill from Chase Auto Finance that indicated we owed $431.94, plus a late fee of $21.63. When we contacted Chase about this issue they at first claimed that the vehicle's title was invalid and that there was still a lien on the vehicle even though the Title stated there were no liens. The next day another person at Chase indicated that a payment in January of 2005 had been received, but that the check had some how Reversed itself and that we clearly owed Chase a total of $863.88 plus late fees.

Chase has been sending false 3o-day late payments to Equifax, Transunion and Experian. When I contacted Chase Auto to dispute the June 2006 and Nov 2006 30-day late reports. Chase denied my dispute and updated my credit reports stating that my June 2007, July 2007, August 2007, and September 2007 payments were also late (initially they reported them monthly as paid on time)but now they are reflected as 30-days late payments. Therefore, the initial 2 late reports in 2006 turned into an additional 4 late reports in 2007.
I of course sent in another dispute against the old reports and the new reports of 30-days late payments, the result- 2 additional late payments were added April 2007 and May 2007. I have been in contact with numerous customer service reps at Chase they confirm these payments are not 30-days late, 2 different Supervisors at Chase has also reviewed my payment history and agreed that the payments were not made not 30-days late. The Supervisors at Chase also sent a request to have my reports updated and this also resulted in the claim being denied. I am being told by Chase that their departement that handles the disputes and updates with the reporting agencies is Customer Account Services and they have no direct contact number or name of a Supervisor that they can call or provide to me, they only have a FAX contact number (1-800-255-9502. I am reaching out for further assistance because now I am being told by the Chase Auto Supervisors that their is nothing more that they can do to assist me with getting my report corrected.
This is negatively effecting my credit history and credit score, and I have been denied credit with Ford Motor and Wachovia Bank because of these erronous late reports.

The reason they didn't send me a bill over the last 4 months is because I didn't call them; I mailed a change of address form provided by Bank One with a payment and did not call. When I did call, I got screamed at, You can't pay, can you and That's not our fault.
I sold the vehicle for 4 times of what was owed on it ($1500 - it is an 8 year old vehicle) and financed a new vehicle with leather seats and and an electric sun roof with another bank.
Ruined my credit, but I am still able to purchase another vehicle because I have a good paying job as a computer programmer. The financial offer at a prominent Green Bay car dealership told me that Chase Auto Finance is new at car loans and doesn't know how to deal with customers. I won't even go into their bank for a free sucker. Probably get screamed at, You can't pay for that, can you?

This was the incorrect mailing address that was given to me. Now I have to put a tracer on my money order becasue the bill payment department for Chase Auto has not received the payment and they are constantly bothering about the issue. I don't think this is fair when it's their fault and thye don't claim responsibility for it and they are putting late fees on my account for non-payment. That's bogus!

After being 51 days late on a car payment Chase placed my car into reposession. At the time I was not aware of this. The repo person went to my work and told them that I was hiding my car from him and that I was 4-5 months behind and he wanted charges filed against me.
Due to me employed as a Police Officer this was a serious matter. I was contacted by my supervisor and was able to explain my side of the story. My supervisor asked for permission to speak with a rep. from Chase. I contacted Derek Bronis my rep. and informed him of my supervisors request. I also told Derek about the situation involving the repo. and that I was unaware of anyone attempting to reposses my care and that I believed the tow truck drivers story about attempting to retrieve my car at my residence was fictitious and he was using my position as a law enforcement officer to obtain the vehicle.
Derek stated he was aware of the repo status but denied having any involvement in the tow drivers action of contacting my work.
I gave Derek permission to speak with my supervisor but I also gave him specific instructions to provide with information concerning my current accounts status.
After speaking with Derek my supervisor called me into his office and told me that Derek provided him with my complete account history for the last four years. He also said Derek told him that he was given specific instructions to provide only current information, but Derek still provided him with a complete account history and said that my behavior was not a good reflection on the police department.
Due to Dereks actions I was informed that disciplinary actions would be taken up to losing my job.

My car was reposesed without just cause and or warning. I had missed a payment in February, 2006, did not recieve a bill in March, so I tried to remedy the situation using Chase's On-line banking. I emailed them that I would like to pay them and set up continuous over payments on a set date, so there would be no late payments. The response was to continue paying through the mail until a form came to my address, which I could not do so without a bill, no warning to contact the bank immediately and no number was given to do so.
I contacted them again about two weeks later, stating again that I would like to make a payment and set up continuous overpayments. My car was repo'd the next morning, when I contacted the bank they stated it has not been reported as repo'd, they stated to call the police who would know, and in my city, that is the policy. I called the police and it was not reported this way, so I reported my car stolen along w/my checking account info, which I immediately reported to my bank. I contacted Chase again later and they stated that my car had been reposessed as they could not contact me to remedy the deliquent payment. According to Chase's own records, they contacted an old work number, and spoke to an unidentified male at my home number, but did not say who or know who, and I never received this info.
They than stated they did not have contact information on me, but since the middle of March of 2006, while I was trying to make payments, they had my home address, my home number, my actual business number, my cell phone number, and my email address to contact me directly. None of these steps were taken by Chase, and my attempts to pay them and set up overpayments were not handled properly. I since recovered my vehicle using the funds I had originally had wanted to pay them with, plus funds had to be spent for the reposession I did not know was coming or was worried that was coming with my efforts to remedy the situation and make sure it was never worried about by either party again. I have copies of the emails and how my contact information was all listed on line. There was no contact after February until my car was repossesed on 4/6/06.
I had emotional stress believing my car and checking info was stolen, had to transfer my account funds and open a new account, missed time from work, had family members miss time from work, had no access to a vehicle or money, had a my credit report effected most likely, personal fears of how my future in-laws saw me as a person, and fear of not being able to function in an emergency financially or being able to get to an emergency for a loved one and fear of losing my job if I could not make it there.

We are victims of Hurricane Katrina. We were contacted by Chase Auto Finance, back in September, and asked if we possibly needed assistance with paying on our account and were offered up to 3 months of deferment by the representative who contacted us. We asked for a one month extension for the month of September. We have not received our assistance money, we expected, from the Federal Government in order to pay our bills.
We tried to reach someone about my account. We left several messages for a Jennifer Firrolo and I have also left a message for a Tonya Sanchez. I explained my situation to the customer service people at the main 800 number and several of their customer service people told us good luck in receiving any help. Everyone, thus far, we have spoken with has quickly told us no or they do not have such authority to help. I have been trying to reach someone (via telephone) and mailing letter to where I send my payment to and the New York Address listed for the last week and a half regarding my account.
We understand that it is not in our contract, nor is Chase Auto Finance obligated to help us with deferments. We are simply asking for help, as we are in dire need of assistance. We spoke with several customer service agents who informed us that they no longer are providing any assistance to the hurricane victims. We were very disturbed by this, as our devastation is by no means over with. We simply wanted to know if, in conjunction with their normal deferment that equates to loan time, we would be able to obtain one.
We have had our loan with you for 4 years. We only asked for one deferment back in 2003 and the latest one in September. We were told, when the representative contacted us for assistance that this would not count against us because not everyone in the nation needed the help. This is not the case from what everyone has told us. Had we known, this would be a problem, we would have requested more time at that point. However, we did not foresee our situation being like this. We simply need some time to get back on our feet, and actually receive our assistance money from the government.
We also did not want our credit affected in the meantime in waiting for the government to help us. So, we thought we were doing the right thing in contacting them proactively. I was finally contacted by Tonya Sanchez who told me that she would have to look at our payment history and also talk to other customer service people who we spoke with about some possible alternate options to help us. This has been going on for over a week now and when we initiate calls to her, we are simply told that she is still looking in to things and will get back to us with a decision. Our car payment is due today, and we have no way to pay it.
We would hate to believe that Chase Auto Finance would refuse to help someone in our situation or not try to help us, considering our circumstances. Again, we would not be asking should the situation not be a dire one.
We cannot afford to lose our car or harm our credit during this time.

My 2003 Jeep Liberty is leased through Chase. I have called their Customer Service numerous times as well as writing several letters concerning my account balance and excise tax on the vehicle. I was on paymatics which only handles lease payments not tax payments which I knew. I did not know and no where one the statement does it indicate that tax payments are sent to a different address. As a result the checks I sent were applied to the lease balance and not the tax bill. Also every statement I receive indicates that I owe an amount for the property/excise tax every month. I will never lease a vehicle again. Chase customer service folks have the attitude that the customer is wrong and stupid.
