I would give them 0 stars if I could. Everything was fine through monthly payment and payoff. Somehow, the title (they said they sent to me in June) never got to me. I've been calling them a few times a month since July trying to get this resolved and still don't the title to my car. Now I am delinquent in registering my car because I don't have the title. Chase Subaru Finance has been totally ineffective in resolving this issue. Two Important questions: How come all of my monthly coupons got to me but the title didn't??? Did they ever really send me the title or did they lose it at their end???

I am a new JP Morgan Chase Auto customer, purchased a vehicle through them in Aug 2024. Since establishing my account I've tried to link my external account literally six times to pay for my auto loan. The first four were through the app, the fifth using a form they sent me, and the sixth was after requesting a supervisor who said I had to use the computer not the app. Chase Auto has still not been able to link my account. At this point I am considering just refinancing with a local bank that I know, knows how to do their job. Additionally the number given to me by the supervisor to call online support was wrong. I called that number, they gave me a second number, which turned out to be the support number for Chase employees. I would seriously consider different lending institutions even if they may be a little higher interest rate.

Doesn’t do much to write a review, but I’m still going to so maybe enough attention will be paid to the fact that there are horrible reviews for a reason. Least an expensive luxury car Chase was the bank unfortunately. There were constant issues with the vehicle, which was very expensive $110,000 lease was over $1400 a month. After the first year or so, the engine light was constantly coming off we took it to the dealership multiple times to no avail. It either was off when we got there or they couldn’t find any codes. Finally returned the vehicle towards the end of the lease early obviously still paid all the lease payments actually couldn’t go over 30 miles an hour due to the fact that this engine light was on they never fixed

Long story short to trying to charge us an additional $500 turn in fee, which was never disclosed. I guess we should’ve read the paperwork a little more carefully. You think they would’ve been a little bit more helpful. They blame it on the dealership and the dealership blames it on them. Either way, typical crap from Chase that’s why I haven’t banked with them from over 15 years. No big deal I’ll pay the fee but I’ll probably pay it $.10 a month

Tried to change my last name before paying off and gave them everything they needed to only get a title in the wrong name. Then received a letter saying that I’m owed a refund on my gap and I needed to contact my dealership, contacted my dealership and they tell me Chase usually sends a check in 6 weeks. Call Chase and they directed me back to the dealership.

After making on time payments for years, the one time I needed help and asked for an extension due to financial difficulties, and they denied me for any more than 2 weeks. I asked for any reasoning and they said nothing other than "extensions are a courtesy, and we do not give our reasoning". I can only take that as they didn't care that I was struggling and have children that depend on me and a partner that is making less money recently. This loan was not low interest, the car is worth more than the loan now. With crippling debt, asking for a 2-3 months of a break doesn't seem to me to be much to ask. In fact, Chase Auto could have made more money from me with interest.

After the complete dissatisfaction from their customer service and asking me personal questions about my financial situation which are indeed dire, and then basically saying we don't care, I will be more motivated to pay off everything I own from my chase car loan, and credit card debts, close all accounts, and never deal with this business again. They have taken enough from me.

Horrible experience. We leased a vehicle through Chase for 3 years. Made our payments on time. We had an inspection done a lease end. We were told to change tires which we did and kept receipts. We were sent a bill for $1379 and have been fighting it for 3 months. Today they went into our credit and reported the item, even though we paid for the $1379 and our claim is open. Never again.

This is the worst company ever. Will NEVER have a loan with them again. They have zero customer service. FYI they will never contact you if there is a reversed charge even if it’s not reflected in the customers account they will assess you late fees. Late fees you will never know about until one day 3 months later they let you know you have to pay 3 months. Then when you talk to a zero intelligent individual with the company, they can’t even comprehend what the problem is. Literally have never seen worse “customer service”. We have stellar credit and will never do a loan with them again.

Then out of nowhere they tell me I requested to skip a payment, which I never asked for. I even asked them to listen to the recordings with me to show me where I put that in. After the Supervisor gets on the phone she yells and gets loud with me about it when I never changed it. She then tells me I cannot call for 24-48 hours. I told her that I now see why everyone hates to be financed with Chase and they have mainly 1-star reviews.

Since January 2024, I have attempted to request a state change since moving from Maryland to Washington, D.C. For over a month, I kept calling and speaking to different Chase customer service personnel, being told my request was being processed, and when I would follow up, they would not know what I was talking about and said I needed to resubmit the request. In February 2024, I filed a complaint with the BBB after waiting over a month. Today, my state change request was finally sent to my local DMV. This process has been one of my worst experiences; whenever I do an auto loan again, I will never do it with Chase Bank again. The time wait and customer service were awful, and if it wasn't for the BBB getting involved on my behalf, I wonder if I would have ever completed the process.

To every person on the planet that thinks of going with this company Chase auto loan or chase anything, anything they're affiliated with including Credit Karma TurboTax Intuit Plus a few more just go to the bottom of their page and you'll see them all because this is the worst company I've dealt with in my 50 years alive and I've dealt with a lot of companies like this who are bullies, have a hard day at work roofing people off screwing people over go to the bar after work, go home, kick their dog, ignore the kids and beat their wives. And if they're female they probably after a hard day at work of ripping people off, screwing people over, and laughing about it. I am absolutely positive of (all the way to the bank,) They go to the bar, swill their wine go home, ignore their kids, cheat on their husbands and love their animals because we know how some females can be and they're dirty pigs.

Our payment wasn't even due until tomorrow and they repossessed our car. Well guess what we owe you $20,000 and you can eat that $20,000 because we're going to eat it too, just to stick it up your ** and go ahead and threaten us with selling that car because guess what it's worth $5. We've been in two accidents with it so good for you. Sell it, go ahead see what you're going to get for it.

I hope everybody remembers the Carfax a Ford Escape 2019 Titanium black, beautiful but not worth $5 because it's been in two accidents and should have been totaled two times but Geico Chase everyone involved decided they wanted their money more than letting us get away with one payment because we had to have a rental for 5 months. How can you rent a car for 5 months to the tune of $74.99 a day 7 days a week and still make a $400 payment, take care of your kids and live your life, pay your rent, buy food. We are not illegal immigrants. We have to actually work for our money.

I financed a loan for a new Subaru through JP Morgan Chase Bank. A week after signing the paperwork I decided to pay all cash instead since financing was only for 2 years and the "deal" still included fairly high interest. I contacted Chase Bank to see about paying off the loan immediately and they said my account wasn't created yet and to wait. 2 weeks later my account was available to me and had apparently collected interest since the day after I signed the paperwork.

I expressed my frustration with the Chase reps, but they said there's nothing they can do about the applied interest and that accounts can take up to 30 days to be created. I looked over the financing paperwork and nothing stated when the loan would begin accruing interest (i.e. the day after the paperwork was signed). This kind of behavior is borderline criminal for such a large financial institution. Since Chase likely employs high-dollar lawyers, I paid my loan + unfairly applied interest and decided to never finance through JP Morgan Chase Bank again. I hope Subaru considers doing the same.

Instead after saying to hold while they submit papers, they hang up on you. I will call back giving benefit of doubt and go thru whole process of verifying all my info to not just one but two reps and have it happen again.

This has happened every single time I have tried. I finally have to call back and have the first tier rep dig thru notes to tell me I am denied deferment with no explanation as to why and not even have the very rude reps in deferment dept tell me themselves. We purchased our Outback in 2019 and have never missed a payment. We have just a year in a half left on the loan and my wife was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. While fighting with her short term disability I wasn't sure about making the payment at the beginning of February so I reached out to them about a deferment for one month and just adding a month to the loan. It was declined since I could not give exact dates for when her short term disability would kick in. I complained and received an email telling me I need to call and talk to this person because I could be eligible for an extension. Of course I had already received and letter in the mail telling me the reason why I was declined earlier. I called the number just to go through the exact same thing and was declined again. I angrily asked why would I be told to call again just to be told your company don't think I will have the money in order to give us a deferment.

I felt like the company was wanting me to fail in order for them to get more money from us due to what the family is going through. Both Subaru financing and Chase Auto financing lacked compassion with my wife dealing with blood cancer. Ironically my wife received the share the love blanket from Subaru the day we were declined the first time. Luckily her short term did kick in but the payment just came out making things just a little tight for a week or two. If you can choose an Auto financing group try to find one that has some compassion and is there to help you through tough times if it should just pop up on you like it did on us.

I was informed that chase bank in Pennsylvania had a lien on my vehicle. I tried to call Chase and was told " you are not our customer so we won't talk to you or do anything for you". After filing a complaint to the Pennsylvania banking commission they still failed to communicate with me. They were supposed to respond within 30 days to the commission. They did not respond.

I asked the Pennsylvania authority for an update. After I found a number for their corporate office I was finally able to talk to someone. They said they indeed had a lien on my vehicle and would look into it and respond promptly. After agreeing they had no interest in my vehicle they said it wasn't their fault and blamed it on an auction house in New Jersey that they used to sell it to the dealer I bought it from. The title search clearly indicated that Chase had a lien on it not the auction house.

After losing two sales and months of frustration and aggravation Chase released their fraudulent claim on the vehicle I owned outright for years. They said they understood my frustration but they were not liable for anything since they "voluntarily" released their false claim to my vehicle and sent me a letter stating this. I lost thousands of dollars and they did nothing to make it right. The level of unprofessionalism and disrespect from this bank is remarkable. Do not do business with this bank.

We have a leased vehicle from Chase Auto from 3 years and it has been nightmare. They were so inefficient to create lease buyout paperwork that we ended up extending lease to prevent late fees and extra interests. Recently, I found that company paid none of the toll payments which directly goes to Chase finance department instead of coming to our address due to Chase being the primary owner. Since, I got to know about it have been actively following up with bank only to realize that we have paid only 1/10th of the total tolls and each of them had $25-$100 late fees because Chase Auto never paid them.

When I asked how it is even possible they send me more than 40 papers of video citations for toll violations and provided no record how many of them were paid and why were they not paid on time. This is first of us following up with them on status not other way around. Now I have 40 unpaid toll tickets with thousands of dollar on late fees with no record which of them were paid.

It is so challenging to get to talk to right POC. Each person I have talked to says they do not have the visibility and can not help except customer care. Customer care people says they have opened the work order (same message from last 1.5 month) and can not provide further details until I receive details they are trying to send to my address. Additionally I have 160+ letters from Chase Auto stating these toll citations with no clear understanding which of them are pending and where did my $1200+ payment go. Please see the original tolls add up to $246 only. If you have Chase auto lease please check your toll payments closely. I think they are trying to make money out of it and not paying them on time, while taking the late fees from the users. This is so shady and needs to be reported.

Had to place a stop payment AND informed them! Mailed a 2nd check that they signed for 8-2-22 at 9:33am. It is now 8-24-22, they have not only not posted my pay-off check, their bill collectors are calling & they have reported me as 30 days late to all 3 bureaus! Then they decide to post the first check (that they were aware had a stop payment on it) & had the nerve to call me & ask why the check was no good!! Their auto billing service was not working, and after calling about 10 times (and getting shuffled back and forth between departments since no one knew how to fix the issue) and spending countless hours on the phone waiting, I was finally able to resolve the issue. They then sent me a bill since the first payment could not be processed by auto billing and when I tried to pay the bill over the phone, I was told I did not have a balance and could not pay anything. They then sent a late payment to my credit report, ruining my score. When I tried to call to get it resolved, it seems like it will be a lengthy process with an uncertain outcome. Give your business elsewhere and avoid the massive headache/terrible customer service.

Magically now Chase is pulling payments 7,8,9 days later (and there was no holiday, payment was made on a Monday) just whenever they feel like it! Customer service is a nightmare and when a call is escalated, the supervisors have been clearly trained to be cruel, hard nose, unconcerned twits who threaten to disconnect the call after causing you trauma! In August 2021 me and my fiancé purchased a car. We used Chase as our financier, that turned out to be a mistake. We put down 7k. Financed the rest, by February 2022 we moved to a different state and fell behind on payments, car ended up repossessed. We took accountability for that and that’s that. We called Chase and asked what we need to pay to get the car back. They said we had to pay the car off as a whole. So we managed to come up with the 12k and mailed a cashier's check to them. Checked the tracking and said it was received. We called right away to see if we can get the car released, now they were saying “it can take up to 10 business days for it to process in our system, but most likely less than 10 days.” I found that weird since it’s a cashier's check, it’s almost like handing them straight cash. We called everyday to see if it processed, still nothing.

On the 10th business day they said they still did not process the check, and they are going to “expedite the process”, that was a Thursday. The lady I spoke to then told me no later than Monday it will be processed. Now it is Tuesday the 13th business day and nothing, same runaround they give us every time we call, customer service is horrendous. They say the same thing every time. Now they are saying by Friday the 16th business day it will process…. I don’t believe that, one lady I talked to mentioned they might of lost the check then immediately backtracked when I questioned what they just said about losing the check.

Now I’m just curious why this process is taken too long and it seems they are covering up stuff, not sure if they sold the car already or lost the check. It is very very shady especially since nobody can seem to tell me a legit answer as to what is going on, same runaround but different stories as to why this is happening, even the supervisor gives you the runaround. I do not recommend chase as a financier, I mean look at all the other reviews on the BBB for example…

I will try to keep this simple, but Chase Auto has done so many things wrong the last 5 months. I paid my car off in full with cash Sept 7th 2021. As of today Feb 8, 2022, I do not have my title. I will list what has happen:

1 - I was told I would have my title in 7 to 10 days. If you look at Chase's website it says with cash it is 2 to 7 days. No mention of over 5 months.

2 - When I did have the title I began calling them. I was told they could not find the title. WTH! They would order a duplicate. This was in Oct they finally ordered it in Dec. They got the duplicate back December 29th and they sent it FedEx overnight. Only they sent it to someone in RI and it was delivered to the address Dec 22nd. Sounds good right? No not only do I not live in RI I have never been there. I live in Ohio, so now someone has the title to my car. Not good. Solution they would get FedEx to retrieve it. I know LOL. They then said they had not been able to retrieve it and would order another copy. As of Jan 2nd they had not ordered it. Jan. On Jan 9th I received the original title (the one that was lost). I am so happy, so the person that was buying my car and I went to the title office. Guess what? Title is no good because they had issued a duplicate (you know the one that is in RI).

3 - The duplicate showed up at my house Jan 19th. Great right? Nope they sent the title but did not fill out the back of it!! So no good. Called Chase and was told they would FedEx me a envelope with an envelope to return it so they could fill it out. Now it’s Jan 26th and no envelope so I told them just give me the address and I will return the title so you can fill it out correctly and send it back to me ASAP. ( At my expenses) They received it on Jan 27th but 12 days later no title and no one can tell me why or when I might get it???

Also in addition to the above issues, the DMV advised me that Chase had never paid the sales tax on the car. When I brought that up to Chase they said, "Oh no we never include the sales tax in the contract." I said, "Well I’m looking at it and you did." She goes through some files and files and can’t find it. I said, "I can just send it to you to make it faster for both of us." She said, "Oh here it is. Oh yes, you’re correct so we will need to get you a check since you paid the full amount."

She said, "We actually sent a check to Warren County in April 2016 and they returned it to us because they didn’t know what to do with it." I said, "And so you did nothing with it, you didn’t call me, you didn’t call them, you did nothing??" "Of course, I didn’t." If anyone has a suggestion at all on how I can finally get my title please let me know. I had a heart transplant a year ago and I am not allowed to drive the purpose of me paying the car off for so that I could sell it and I borrowed money from my parents to do that that I’ve now had to wait for over five months to get back.

I have requested a new title and bill of sale and instead they issued an affidavit of correction though I warned that the DMV might not accept and still they did this and continued to waste my time. I have been to the DMV over 6-7 times so far over a period of 5 months and this has not been resolved yet. Chase Auto has been very sloppy dealing with my problem and that started with a customer service agent telling me on my first call that this can not be corrected because that is the easiest answer to everything. I wrote my entire experience below but to summarize; reps told me different and conflicting information, misquoted my payout price several times including using the wrong sales tax, never called me back when they said they would, sent me in circles on the phone from department to department, and used bait and switch tactics in order to try to get me to pay more for my loan. Stay away from Chase Auto. They need to be investigated for fraud.

I was nearing the end of my lease at the end of November 2021 and called Chase to see what my options were. I decided to turn my lease into a loan. The Chase representative told me they would be sending me all of the documents to sign and get notarized. A week went by and I didn't receive anything so I called Chase back. The Chase representative I spoke with was able to walk me through how to view my loan documents electronically.

I noticed on the title page it very clearly stated that documents needed to be received within 2 days of the date listed. By that time it was more than 2 days past the listed date. I brought this concern to the Chase rep and they put me on hold to ask a supervisor. When the rep came back on she told me that I could go ahead and use the documents even though they would be received after the date listed on said document. I signed the documents, had them notarized, and put them in the mail the same day. The representative even noted that they were mailed on my application.

About 5 days went by and I got a call from a Chase rep asking if I had requested a new payout price for my vehicle. I told her I had not but I had already mailed my signed loan documents. I asked if they had been received and the rep checked and confirmed they had been received and were in processing. The rep said in that case the call was in error and to disregard the call. At the same time I noticed on my online banking that a new lease payment was due, even though my lease had ended and I was set to begin finance payments. The rep informed me that the lease payment would go away once the loan had been processed and advised me not to pay the lease payment.

About a week later I got a called from a new Chase rep that my lease payout had increased by $900. Obviously, this was confusing to me as I had already agreed and signed the loan documents at the agreed upon price, rate, and term. I asked why it had gone up and the rep did not know. I was transfer to a different department and that rep also did not know the reason for the increase. I was transferred to two more reps before I was told that the sales tax had increased between when my first payout quote was formed and now. I explained that this was not my fault and was not happy to now be paying $900 more due to a sales tax increase that had apparently occurred in the last two weeks, especially because I asked initially if the documents that would be arriving late would still be good to use.

I was then transferred to the escalation department. I explained that I had already signed my documents. The escalation rep said if I had already submitted my documents then I should not have to pay an increased sales tax rate and transferred me back to the lease to loan department. At that time I Googled the sales tax rate for my state and county and found there had been no increase whatsoever. I pointed this out to the Chase rep and they then realized they had made an error and misquoted me and to disregard the phone call.

A week later I received another call asking if I had requested a new payoff quote. I had to explain again that I had not and had already submitted my documents as instructed to do so. The rep then told me that since the documents were received late a new loan had to be made. Since several weeks had gone by the payoff amount had gone up about $300. I told them that I found this unfair because I was told the wrong thing initially and followed instructions as I was told by Chase. The rep agreed and told me he would work with management to get the situation resolved and I would receive a call from management within 24 hours.

A week went by and no call from management, instead I yet again received a call asking if I had requested a new payoff quote. This happened two more times. Finally I decided to cave. I told the rep that I was willing to go by the new payoff price of about $200 more, fill out new loan documents, and drive and pay to have them notarized, in order to get this over with. At that time she told me I would also have to pay the new lease payment that had accrued during this whole saga of more than a month, of about $350, before starting my loan payments. I asked her to waive this payment as clearly it was not my fault and she said she could not waive the extra lease payment and would have to get management involved again. She told me management would call me back within 24 hours.

48 hours went by and no call. I never once received a call back from management even though I was promised this from several reps and multiple occasions. I called back and finally the rep told me the payoff had been paid at the original agreed amount. The extra lease payment is still on my account and I asked her to check on that. She confirmed that that payment would go away, but I think I am rightly skeptical that this saga is not yet over.

The scary thing is I had to fight and argue to ask them to do what was right. Mistakes were made and that is understandable but had I not pleaded and fought I would have spent $900 more plus interest. All in all I spent over 8 hours on the phone with over 12 different Chase reps. I have no doubt that countless others are paying more than what they should due to Chase's mistakes and they are benefiting.

I never thought that any Chase rep I spoke with was deliberately trying to take advantage of me, they are simply performing an action they are prompted to do on their computer. No one knew what was going on with my loan or situation and no one could solve it. The best I was told was that management would be taking a look at it. Again I was promised on three different occasions that management would be contacting me within 24 hours and I have still yet to receive a call from management.

This was the worst customer experience I have ever encountered. Due to Chase's mistakes I was backed into a corner and very nearly had to pay for a vehicle I could no longer afford, as they kept increasing the original agreed upon price. I am dumbfounded how they can run their business like this and seriously think they need to be investigated and brought to court. I guarantee they are taking advantage of countless others due to their bait and switch tactics. Moral of the story stay as far away from Chase as possible. If you need to finance a vehicle go to your local bank or credit union before going to the dealership and get your loan approved. Learn from my mistakes.

Chase claims they sent out a notice on August 4,2021 to us but we never received it but Chase Auto loan is blaming me for that. Anyways, I just received two separate letters both dated on August 19, 2021. One letter is stating basically that my account is past due and the other one stating that if not taken care of within 10 days from when the letter is dated, my car will be repossessed. I paid it today because it was just communicated today through these two letters. My credit score dropped 136 points as a result to Chase's lack of communication.

Chase always sends me a live bill and once they became aware that I was taking my loan business to the credit union, they suddenly decided not to send me a live bill for the first time in 3 years? Like they wanted to purposely watch me fail? They expected me to know to go online and check that I had a balance after they originally told me I wouldn’t owe them anything anymore but owed the credit union from now on. But yet I’m being held responsible even though I never got the first letter nor a live bill? I had perfect credit and so did my husband. But they ruined both.

Why would we in our right minds decide to mess up our credit scores on purpose? It was all done without our knowledge. Why would we be perfect on making payments to chase throughout the whole lease and purposely want our credit score to go from 800 something to 600 something? The answer is we wouldn’t. Please help. I have never been late making my auto payments and would have appreciated and expected a call from them out of respect since I have been a good customer. It was a lack of communication.

We have it written down, on a check in our phone. We are reading off the exact numbers & no issues with other bills. This company plays games. Even with their online site same issue. So we stopped bothering. We had to start paying solely through our bank's bill pay system. It’s the only way we got it to accept it.

We started OVER paying to get rid of them. Car payment was $330. We paid large payments of $400 -$600 every month. Somehow even though paying rent every month we only paid it off six months sooner. It was a 5 year loan. AND one month we apparently missed the due date by a few days and got a late payment and letter in mail.... So all those overpayments mean nothing. That makes no sense. We should have been more than caught up. We went ahead and paid it all off when we saw that. All of a sudden when we paid it off they deleted our account! I flipped the ** out! I called them. All I had was an acct number I found on a bill. They said they sent the title out. Now it’s been a few months! Where the ** is it!? This company sucks.

The arrears I had with Chase auto Finanance were included and they were discharged with a Zero Balance. This closed out my Chase Online Account and I no longer had access. In 2018, I received an apology letter from Chase Auto Finance that included a Refund for overpayment. I called them, (They were in Ft. Worth, TX) spoke to two Reps who told me they would release the lien.

My fault for not following through, but last month my vehicle developed engine trouble and I started the donation to the LI Veterans Association. When I looked up the Title, the lien was still there, and I was put in touch with their Bankruptcy Unit. It was explained that I needed to make an offer on the vehicle to release it. I wrote up an offer, included estimates and pictures of the vehicle, and faxed it in.

Here's where things spiraled out of control: It takes forever to get through on the phone. Every person gives you their ID#. I was transferred to the Rep handling my account to get status and he said he would let me know. No call back until days later. Said they accepted my offer and they would MAIL me a letter with payment instructions. I asked it be faxed. It was already Friday at 6PM Eastern. Still didnt have it by Tuesday. More calls, more shock and surprise that I didnt get it. (30 minutes hold time) That time it came through, because he actually did it this time. Went right to Western Union, and THE WESTERN UNION CODES THAT CHASE IS GIVING ARE OUTDATED and haven't been used in years!!! Went home, called WU and they gave me a choice of codes.

Fax Chase, NO RESPONSE. Next day call ask for a Supervisior. (Total spent 1+ hours) Get one who doesn't Supervise that person, but will reach out to the Supervisior who does and call me back. NO CALL BACK. Try again next day. More hold time 1+ hours. Get a Supervisor who doesn't know her ID because "No one ever asked me for it. Hold on while I found out what it is." Fax to her. Ask for the WU Codes. She doesn't know. No one knows, oh and by the way, They ALL WORK FROM HOME!!! No return call/no return fax.

Call her again on May 25th. Has no idea who I am and is always bewildered. Doesn't know the codes. I go to Western Union. Rep helps me find the right code which includes my Account #, because they have too many complaints against CHASE not crediting to the right account, send the money marked urgent. Call the Supervisor, again she is bewildered. Fax the Payment Info and she promises to call me no later than Tuesday since after all there's a three day weekend. Still no response by June 7th!!! I filed a complaint with the BBB. A Chase Rep from the Executive Branch reached out same day in an effort to resolve. I highly recommend everyone that Posted here do that. She sounded genuinely concerned and said she would have that Sup. call me.

Supervisor did call the next day, again very bewildered with a 'See I said I'd call you tomorrow". I added "Yes, but that was 10 days ago." She said my payment was received and and they made a request to release the lien. I asked her to write that up and fax it to me. Again, very bewildered. "What do you mean?" "Simple. Everything you just told me? Write it down and fax it to me, today." Response: "Well I have meetings and I'll try to do it maybe over the next two days or so". UNACCEPTABLE!

I cannot donate my car without a PAID letter attached to the Original Title. I have now racked up hundreds of dollars in Storage fees at my Mechanic due to the incompetent stalling tactics from Chase Auto Finance. Chase is not Trustworthy. These people are incompetent and don't follow through. They are giving Consumers incorrect payment information, denying them access to their accounts, and do acknowledge payments received. They are obligated by law to do so. I am moving forward with Complaints to the NYS AG as well as the TX AG.

Doing business with one of the largest banks in the country certainly has its perks, but there are a few important things to consider as well – especially if you’re shopping for a Chase auto loan. Their rates are competitive but not the best!! Once you pay off your loan/lease good luck getting a title out of them. Totally incompetent and arrogant. I guess their size affords them the luxury of being incompetent and getting away with it. Here is my experience so far.

I financed a vehicle (Merc) with Chase back in 1985. After many requests I gave up requesting a lien release. I finally got a lien release in 2020. (32 years after paying off the loan!) It was accomplished with the intervention of a local Chase bank manager. In 2018 I leased a vehicle through Chase. I paid off the vehicle at end of lease 11/1/2020. Many attempts have been made to release the title. Local bank manager has tried, Private banking rep has tried to no avail. So basically unlike a financed vehicle, I now drive a car (I also paid for registration) which has been paid in full but still belongs to Chase. What a bunch of useless people. Scams! ...and the experience and proof of a dysfunctional operation within Chase bank, Auto Loans continues as follow.

Upon completion of my lease I requested a loan to finance the residual amount. The loan was a 52% down payment with a 848 credit score. I was declined because of too many inquiries on my credit report and high debt!!! I had 3 inquiries for an Auto Loan (shopping for the best interest). I have zero debt except a minimal mortgage payment and liquid assets (cash in the bank) 1000+ fold the loan amount with a steady provable income which made the loan amount look silly and insignificant. Nevertheless, my application was declined. Got the loan with better terms from my other bank...no problem.

In May 2021 I purchased another vehicle. Unbeknownst to me the loan went through Chase Bank. It was approved with flying colors even though the new loan amount was 3.5 times the amount that was declined previously and with 0% down payment... Go figure... It does not take a genius to figure out this department of Chase Bank (AUTO LOANS) IS TOTALLY DYSFUNCTIONAL. IT REALLY NEEDS HELP!!! ... Show Less.

I have a leased vehicle through Chase which I planned on buying out once the lease was up. I was unaware that my lease ended 35 days ago because I was still asked to make payments on my account. When I called to buyout my lease through Chase's loan department I was told that I wasn't allowed and would need to go to another lender because my lease was over by 35 days (even though I was continuing to pay).

Overall, the loan department thought it was best to say no to me apply even though my payment history was immaculate along with my credit score. They had no other reason to send me another way, other than my account being over. I am much more happy in my decision with the Bank of America who I have found my loan through as there was not 10 transfer calls between people with different information all ways, instead I spoke to one gentlemen who even provided me a direct access email if I have further questions. I will never in the future give Chase my business.

I was further advised that, in order to receive a duplicate title, it would take a minimum of one month. They are long on apologies but clearly lacking in competence and sense. My second car purchase was through Chase. I didn't have the best credit but was trying hard to build it. I was already making payments on my truck through a different lender and my wife needed a better vehicle. We foster children and have to have reliable transportation for them to get to school and appointments so it made sense to proceed with the purchase. Chase came forward with an outrageous 11.5% interest rate but I thought I could start there and refinance in a year or 2. Well, as luck may have it, my wife was hit by another vehicle. The other party's insurance claimed responsibility and took possession of the totaled vehicle. I contacted Chase and let them know to expect payment from them. They received their payment however, it was not for the full balance. I didn't know how gap coverage worked at the time. I told them I have it and they directed me to contact the company to resolve the issues.

At this point, Chase is well aware of the situation and handed off the entire account to the total loss claims department. 2 months later, I receive a statement stating I am 2 months delinquent on my payments! I called them and paid $1,700 out of my pocket for a totaled car I no longer have with them knowing another insurance company is footing the bill. I asked them to remove the negative report and they absolutely refused to do so. They received payment in full after that. I thought, perhaps the payoff would offset the remarks.

My intent was to buy my first house this year to expand for the children and when I contacted my loan officer, he informed me they now report 90 days delinquent with an outstanding balance!!! I contacted them again and they were angry stating things like, "you've called on this before and I'm telling you again nothing is going to change the report", "I understand your situation but you're responsible to pay for the car no matter what condition it is in". The point is, I was in contact with them, large sum payments were being made, I was capable and willing to pay to protect my credit if someone would've called to discuss my account. Chase was paid IN FULL, the insurance company took the car and all I was left with a 50 point drop in my credit. My wife suffered an 80 point drop. NEVER again will I do business with Chase and I will see to it my family and friends don't either. Oh, and a new home is no longer achievable for us at this time because this.

My wife and I leased a car using Chase Auto. We did so with the intention of buying the car at the end of the lease. When the time came to buy the car, I personally had to reach out to Chase to find out how to go about paying off the car. I spent an hour on hold with each call. The first one the agent told me to call back in 10 days as that was when they would be able to help me. The second time I was told that I wasn't on the account. I had been paying each month from my bank account but, ok. The third call was for my wife to put me on the account. They couldn't help us that day however. The fourth one hour call I got incomplete instructions on how to send the payoff in. I had to make another call to get the complete instructions.

They had me put a $25,000 check in the mail as this was the only option. Unbelievable that in 2020 this was the only option. We waited 7 weeks and two more phone calls before we finally got the title. Today I called to get a breakdown of the bill as I never received one. They had quoted me over the phone the final purchase price at the time of the payoff. I was told by a not very kind agent that I wasn't on the account and he couldn't help me. I feel completely disrespected by this company. I will never do any business with Chase Auto or Chase Financial ever again. This was a terrible customer experience.

Called to get lease end terms and told them I wanted to purchase vehicle. They told me to apply online through Chase Auto. Completed the process and got an approval in 20 minutes. Called to get the documentation sent to me and they told me I should have applied through the Chase lease buyout department. Applied through them and didn't hear anything for a day.

Called the next day and started to go through the terms. I accepted the terms and was put on hold. 45 minutes later the lady has finally returned. Holy cow. I think everyone at Chase works in their own individual silo with no one else knowing what the other is doing. What has the ability to be a pretty smooth transaction turned into a time consuming nightmare. Just finalizing the call that has now reached an hour and twenty two minutes after doing everything online. On top of it all was an interest rate a full point and a half higher than BofA. Just wasn't worth changing it after all the time I spent doing this. Sure seems like the experience should be much easier if Chase already holds the lease. Update...the call has now reached an hour and 30 minutes after the lady is confirming the numbers for the fourth time. I think we are finally almost finished!

    L. ** of Columbus, Ohio. I leased a new 2018 Subaru for 3 years and made timely monthly payments with no problem. The lease was scheduled to expire September 1 2020. In June 2020, I began communicating with Chase Bank regarding procedures to purchase the vehicle at the termination. At that point I was referred to the Subaru Motor Finance Group where my problems began. In August 2020, I paid in full and provided a signed odometer statement to purchase the vehicle. The payment was posted and the account closed on August 27, 2020. The lease expired on September 1, 2020. As of October 28, 2020, I had not received a Bill of Sell and title to the vehicle, which led me to file a formal complaint with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. The complaint documented how Subaru Motor Finance made dubious excuses for why I had not received my documents after having made full payment.

At one point in late September, an employee informed me that they did not receive a signed odometer statement. Why I wasn’t informed of that when they accepted and posted my check made me highly suspicious of that, but I submitted a new one, since I didn’t keep a copy of the original statement. It took 2 weeks for it to be entered. During the course of several conversations, I was told that the sales tax payment was paid to a county, which is not where I live. I informed them that it was the wrong county, and they said it would be corrected. Whenever, I called to check on the status of my documents, I could never speak with the same employee. It was impossible to do that, so I had to start all over with explaining the situation on each call.

It was only with the intervention of the state Attorney General’s office did I get results. One day after my complaint was submitted by that office, I received a call from Chase’s Executive office. The staff person informed me that my documents had been overnighted via FedEx and that they would follow up with a call to ensure that I received them. When they came, a check for payment of the state sales tax made out to the wrong county was included. I informed them, and they sent a new check made out to the right county and in the same dollar amount. I also noted that the odometer reading on the title was the mileage reading that I provided on the original odometer statement that Subaru said had not been received. This confirmed my suspicion that Subaru was not truthful, but simply making an excuse for their incompetence. They never corrected to county to which the sales tax was to paid after stating that they had.

The sales tax check amount was $10 short which I paid out of pocket, probably due to a different tax percentage in my county. I was just happy to end this episode, and will never do business with them. The Title Department of Subaru Motor Finance is incredibly inept, and inefficient. I would strongly recommend to anyone having similar problems with Chase Bank Subaru Motor Financing, contact the Attorney General’s office of your state. A consumer complaint can be filed without costs. This is the only way I got my situation resolved. To others who are considering financing an auto with this company, Beware!

Oh. My. God. If I could give negative stars I would. I will never buy from them again. They double charged me (11.12.20 & 11.13.20) and ended up putting my account into the negatives. Called them the morning after I came back from vacation (11-16-20) and they told me I should expect to see the money back into my account on the 19th. I also got a overdraft fee via my bank because of this; luckily they could see it on my account and reversed it. Great. The 19th comes around and still nothing so I call and figure out why. They told me it should be there by the end of the day. I waited. Nothing.

Today rolls around (11.20.20) and I call this morning and figure out what's going on. This is where it starts. They kept transferring me to different representatives, kept hanging up, and kept telling me it will be in there "tomorrow", "tomorrow", "tomorrow". We then got hung up on multiple times. We then called again and one told us they would mail a check to us....after they took money out electronically and that it will arrive within a few days. We had asked to speak to a supervisor multiple times where the first time we got hung up on, and the second being, "Expect a call back today or tomorrow." We just want our money back. We spent a good 4+ hours on the phone today just trying to get our money that they took that caused an overdraft.

We had asked many times for corporate numbers and every time they gave us either a wrong number or fake number. One gave us a roadside assistance phone number. We are beyond frustrated. They have had our money for over a week. They have our bank info. Why can't they do an automatic deposit? We had stated we wanted it overnighted and they had said we can't do that. I'm not sure I will ever do business with them after our lease is up.

When we (customers) are late, we get a penalty. But when they over charge us, why don't we get paid the penalty fee when they screw up? They don't have any to pay anything. Super unprofessional. They double charged me for my November payment. I wanted the money back. Instead they applied it to my next month's payment. The new statement I received in the mail was applied on top of what was already owed. It wasn't due for weeks. WITHOUT my authorization! Wow.

I had a lease with Chase Auto for a Jaguar F Pace. I am Chase Preferred Banking Customer so I thought that this would be a positive. I was VERY WRONG. So the first thing that I learned is that Chase Auto is "Chase Bank" in name only! Their systems are not connected and there is no linkage. I had set up autopay for the lease as I had done previously on all of my leases through Mercedes a bit over 1/2 way through the 36 month term the autopay was disconnected (they still cannot explain why/how). It is one of many bills that are paid automatically online and I did not notice until several months later when I logged into the account and saw late charges accruing. I never received a call or an email. They sent a paper notice through the mail, which I did not receive for several months as I was traveling for work.

When I called them to find out what had happened, I was treated very badly...more like a deadbeat than a customer. And they said they couldn't notify me because they didn't have my phone number....and they couldn't get it from Chase bank... It seems odd that I left the dealer with a $60,000 car but the leasing company didn't have my phone number in any of the paperwork. I resolved this issue but requested the late fees be reversed because no one could explain why autopay was inexplicably stopped. Jan 2020 the county tax rate increased and the payment amount changed by $2 and change. No notification or explanation....the payment amount changed. I did not realize this until I extended the lease at the beginning of the lockdown and got a notice with a new payment amount. And of course they added a $35 late fee on the $2 underpayment. So I adjusted the payments and gritted my teeth through the end of the lease.

Turned the car in, worked with Chase auto to ensure everything was paid and they had agreed to reverse the late fees ($167.). Thought that I had made the final payment and termination charges Oct 5. Two weeks later I got a collection call for the late fees/remaining balance. Internally someone at Chase Auto decided to reinstate the late charges, no explanation. It took multiple calls and call backs to determine this as no one in customer service understood this either. THis is some of the worst customer service that I have seen....while other parts/departments in Chase provide exceptional customer service. I know that Chase acquired Chase Auto but apparently did not invest in culture and training for this acquisition. I would advise anyone considering leasing through Chase auto to think twice.

Chase made further tax payments to Loudoun County (after I relocated) in the amount of $274.05 (twice). I returned the leased car to Subaru in April of 2020. $1792 was paid to Chase from Hyundai to cover the final 4 lease payments. Part of the $1792 lease payment was redirected by Chase to pay property tax, which I had already paid on 10-10-19. I have sent them proof of this payment. Loudoun County sent a refund check to Chase on Sept. 14, 2020 for the second half of 2019 payment of $323.93 and all of 2020 payments of $548.10.

Chase is trying to tell me I owe debts of $203.89 toward the final lease payment (which was paid off by Hyundai) and $776.99 toward personal property tax payment that they paid to Loudoun County and which Loudoun County told me was refunded to Chase. This all started 8 months ago when Chase tried to say I hadn't paid my property taxes but I have the bank records to show that I did pay them.

I tried again yesterday after confirming with the county that they sent Chase the refund and was transferred to 3 different departments. Now Chase is saying they didn't get the refund from the county. They want me to pay the balance and wait for them to reimburse me, but I know I will never see that money again if I do. I have spoken to countless agents at Chase and spent hours on the phone over these last 8 months, to no avail. I've been telling Chase for months that they need to speak directly with the county and they refused to do it. Now they say my case has "expired" and has been sent to their recovery department.

UPDATED 12/10/2020: I paid off the loan at the Chase Auto on November 9th. On 12.08.20 I got a letter from DMV stating that Chase is the owner of the car and there is a lien on my car! After contacting DMV via phone, I got to know that chase has put another lien on my car AFTER I PAID OFF the car mid November and Chase is the lien holder, I have contacted the associate who was working on my case twice: Garen ** but there is no response. Can someone look into it and tell my WHY there is a new lien on my car while it has been paid off?

ORIGINAL REVIEW: If I could give BIG FAT ZERO star,,, I am a long time Chase bank customer, so I figured refinancing my auto loan with them would be pretty easy... Well I was wrong. The online application was fine, but then I spoke with a rep on the phone and the first red flag was that they increased my APR when they found out my car had features like convertible and turbo, and my credit score is above 800. Next they sent me Power of attorney to be notarized in December 9th, 2019, I completed all the forms and notarized and mailed all the requested info via FedEx, So fast forward a few days and I never heard that they received my paperwork. Called a few times and finally got through and they said they received my paperwork, and everything is okay.

More fast forward June 2020: got a letter from Chase auto loan with another Power of Attorney to be notarized and to be sent again, when I called and inquired the reason for second power of Attorney, I was told that I should leave the line for ‘second borrower’ on the Power of Attorney empty, (I am the only owner of the car). I was shocked and I said: by law I CANNOT leave it empty as anyone can put their names on it,, I notarized it one more time and sent all the documents for second time on June 4th, 2020.

June 26th 2020: 3rd letter from Chase requesting Power of Attorney, again I called and they said I have to leave the field for the second borrower/owner of the car empty, I said I CANNOT leave it empty and I am the only borrower! June 30th 2020: 4th letter from Chase requesting Power of Attorney, again I called and they said I have to leave the field for the second borrower/owner of the car empty, I said I CANNOT leave it empty and I am the only borrower! I signed and sent all the power of attorneys they had sent me, total of (4) FOUR.

August 2020: I found another institute with much lower rate and tried to refinance the car, after filling out the paperwork which was much easier and less painful, the new institute found out that Chase never recorded the title at the DMV and the title is still under the previous owner (CarMax), I contacted CarMax, they said they released the car back in December 2019 and it's Chase’s fault they didn’t record the title, I requested another loan release from Carmax and they provided within 2 days (8.6.20) and it was sent to Chase, but chase has not confirmed yet! (8.12.20).

I have been dealing with Chase and spoken with different people and customer service and supervisor, no one can give me an answer why the title has not been recorded at the DMV, while they have no problem taking my money every month, I have not been late for my payments. Just want to get rid of Chase auto loan! Absolutely NOT RECOMMENDING them, the process is very painful – BIG ZERO STAR.

Each of last three years I received a bill from Chase Finance for property taxes assessed. Each time took months to resolve. They lost the original paperwork, luckily I have a copy. I like the cars, having purchased three Foresters. Never again. I will not do business with Subaru or Chase due to their incompetence or possibly fraudulent practices. After feeling with these three consecutive years, I suspect Chase does this hoping people will pay without questioning the appropriateness of the bill.

As a small business owner, I have a lot on my plate. I forgot to pay my loan for 2 months, and literally 62 days later, my car was repossessed. Chase was waiting for me before the 2 month legal period when they can repossess as these things take time since they have to go through the local authorities. Repossession of cars give Chase another 1k-3k in their pockets so like overdraft fees, they prefer their customers to miss payments. I will never use chase again, and as a small business owner that is growing, I will continue to tell everyone my story and hope they also do not go with chase.

I’m a Chase customer, so I figured refinancing my auto loan with them would be pretty easy...well I was wrong. The online application was fine, but then I spoke with a rep on the phone and the first red flag was that they increased my APR when they found out my car had features like a sun roof and back up camera. Also, the rates really aren’t that great - my credit score is an 800 and the best they approved me with (including Chase auto debit discount) was 4.69% I believe. Now here comes the real headache; they sent me this paperwork right before Christmas and New Year's so I reached out to the rep multiple times to ask for an extension with no response.

Eventually I just did all the paper work, tracked down a notary and then went to FedEx to ship. -pause here for a second - I have never had to go through such an arduous process for an application including tracking down the right type of notary for this one document. So fast forward a few days and I never heard that they received my paperwork. Called a few times and finally got through and they said my paperwork has expired and they want me to do it ALL OVER AGAIN. This has been such a hassle and not worth it. I unfortunately cannot recommend them for your auto loan.

I am a long time Chase bank customer. I had my mortgage with Chase, I have two credit cards, a savings and checking accounts and a debit card. I completed an on-line Chase auto refinance application. I promptly received an email stating Congratulations! You've been approved! It showed the rate 4.19% and monthly payment $249.30. It shows NEXT STEPS - call the toll free #. The first time I called I spoke with a rep. He asked me for the VIN#, and other information which was on the application. No problem. Then he said I needed to speak with a underwriter. Really??

We scheduled a date & time for me to speak with an underwriter. When that day came I rushed home from work and called right at the scheduled time (5pm central). I held for 50+ minutes and gave up. I kept getting those annoying auto attendant messages saying the wait is 50 minutes. I tried calling again the next day while at work. I had the same experience. By the next day my loan app expired. So I re-applied. The rate and monthly payment was higher 4.44/$260 something. Guess what happened... Deja Vu... Right back into the twilight zone! I called my local Chase bank for assistance. Unfortunately they dont get involved in auto refinance loans. It must be done on-line. I am SO DISAPPOINTED in Chase. How can a company like JP Morgan Chase be so incompetent?

We opened a Chase auto loan mid September 2019. Four months later we wanted to pay off the loan in full as it was a stipulation with being approved for our new home loan, which is luckily through a different finance company. We contacted Chase to get the pay off amount and asked them the fastest way to get this paid and they stated if we brought in a cashiers check to a branch it would post by the next business day. We took off work to go to our bank, purchased a cashiers check and took it to a Chase branch. Needless to say five business days later They still have not posted our payment, holding up our home loan.

Every time we try to contact them they give us excuses stating it’s under investigation and they don’t know why it hasn’t posted. They have our cashiers check for almost $12,000. We provided the branch number and the transaction number yet nobody has posted our payment. Do not use Chase, they will lie! If you are a day late with your auto payment you’ll get charged fees but they have no problem holding up the process that’s important to you. Completely incompetent!!

I've never in my 42 years of life have dealt with a dishonest company like Chase. Here is my story: I leased a car through Chase and it was returned on August 25, 2019. I made all my payments on time. I was never late. The nice people at the dealership said, "It could take 30-60 days for them to contact you." Well, today is January 7, 2020; and today is the first time someone contacted me from Chase to get the remaining balance from the Lease for over mileage. They begin to tell me they contacted me by mail and it was returned to them in early November. Then she proceeds to tell me they mailed another one after it was returned to them. Why would a company like Chase do this? If it was returned to Chase then common sense would say call the person. My phone number was on file. They never called me until today, January 7th.

They said that it is 76 days past due. How can that be because no one contacted me until now? They basically said in a nutshell that's how they do it and instead of having 4 months to pay the over mileage off, I now have 1 month and 14 days. The balance is high. I tried speaking with a manager and she did absolutely nothing for me. I will never work with Chase again. They are very unprofessional and do not do their job, all at the expense of the consumer. Most dishonnest company I have seen in a long time. I will make sure everyone I know hears this story and to never give their business to Chase.

Trying to dispute end of lease charges has been an absolute nightmare. Had a Range Rover Sport, stayed in the family and got a range rover velar. Figured since I was a loyal customer it would be not the hardest thing in the world for them to make some concessions since there was no way I realistically had 3k worth of damages at the end of my lease, but boy was I mistaken. They had to mail out a damage report which took a while, I requested picture evidence of the damages in the report (they also had to mail these, despite the fact that the entire world now fully operates on the internet) which never came, then I had to fax back (thats right, fax) written permission for my business manager and lease broker to speak with them. Even after all that Chase wouldn't let them speak on my behalf to try and argue the claims.

Was speaking to a supervisor named Lori (**) who was literally zero help. Didn't even act like she cared enough to try to help, and was aggressive and short the entire time we were on the phone. Eventually because of all the back and forth and sending us in circles they passed my claim off to the next department and nothing got resolved. The whole way they handle these situations is not at all conducive to good business and keeping the customer loyal and happy. It's unfortunate they haven't updated their communication strategy to reflect the current market or expectations of the modern day customer.

Every step to a resolution felt like a purposefully placed hurdle that had me and my team going in circles. We shouldn't be handling conflict resolution this way in 2020. Especially when finding a resolution would cost them effectively nothing and I could walk away wanting to continue in business with them and they could walk away feeling like they had gotten an amount that was fair. Very VERY disappointed with the whole experience.

I normally don’t like to keep the same cars for more than a few years, so I decided to lease my vehicles to make the transition to new cars easier. My experience with Chase has been completely awful and I cannot believe I have to deal with them through my lease until I can get a new vehicle. They were never helpful. The state of Virginia accidentally charged me taxes, which I never should have been charged. Chase automatically paid the bill. After getting the situation rectified with the Virginia treasurer Chase never did their part. For more 1.5 years, nearing the end of my lease, the problem was still there because Chase wouldn’t fix the issue on their end. Not only did they pay the bill, but doubled billed me in their system.

They never worked to fix the situation until I told them to work through my lawyer. Miraculously, the issue was fixed the next day. Liking the car that I had at the moment, I leased a newer model, unfortunately having to deal with chase again. I got the new car a month early, which wasn’t the issue. My final bill for the old car was $816, that included my last month’s payment. That wasn’t the problem, I expected that. I called as soon as I got the bill to make a $500 payment toward the bill and set a date less than 2 weeks later to make the remaining payment. Representatives continued to call after I called asking to collect the second payment before the date I told them I’d make the payment. They called my cell phone, my job, and left numerous messages. What the representative failed to do was read!!

Over the course of me dealing with Chase I’ve never made a late payment, short payment, or caused any issues, but when it’s time for them to do their job nothing works unless you threaten to get a lawyer involved. After these last two incidents with them, I will never get another leased vehicle that is done through Chase. They are all about collecting money instead of helping consumers, even when they’re in the wrong.

If only I could give 0 stars. At my loan's close, Chase sent bills for EZ pass toll payments our Mazda acquired. Unfortunately, they ignored 2 notices regarding these tolls, leading to the state issuing an extra $550 in fines, which they have insisted I pay, despite admitting they never provided me notice in time to pay the original tolls (note: on a lease, the state issuing the toll can only send it to the owner of the car, which in this case was Chase). We've fought over it the last 4 or 5 months, and they refuse to admit any fault or try to resolve. I reached out to the state who issued the tolls (though this is the responsibility of the car owner, Chase), and they agreed to refund Chase if they faxed them a request for a refund and a direct bill to me; Chase refused and is insisting I pay the fine they created by not responding to bills they received. I've documented everything thoroughly, but it has not made them budge.

Additionally, they've notified me that I owe a certain amount of state car tax; I followed up with my state and was told that the amount they billed was not prorated for the portion of the year I leased the car. When I directly asked the Chase rep if this amount was prorated, she replied "yes" and insisted I pay the entire amount. The deception, lies, and corporate greed has been shocking, and I will never finance a vehicle through Chase again. I encourage others to do the same!

They refused to help me in this difficult time, would not do me the courtesy of at least allowing me to change the mailing address of the statements. I was not asking for them to change any of the account to my name, but simply change the mailing address so that I would receive the statements to continue to make payments on her vehicle so that the account would not be delinquent. This company does not allow their employees to make any accommodations for customers, and instead refer the customer to some ridiculous department only opened specific times per day.

This is not the first time I have had difficulty with Chase, since I financed a Mazda through Chase and they refused to release the vehicle when I had military orders overseas, I was never once delinquent on payments, I had less than $4000 remaining on the account, and the vehicle shipping company required the paperwork for transport. I finally paid off the vehicle just to get the title to be able to ship it overseas which was necessary for my job. This is the worst credit and bank company I have yet to come across, and I warn anyone considering a loan through Chase to reconsider and look elsewhere. The payments are made monthly and since it is a simple interest loan there is little to compare with other loans except the rate. Never had to contact customer service at all. My loan shows up in the Chase App on my phone along with my credit cards and accounts from Chase. That makes it very easy to keep track of.

THEY ARE AWFUL. Like most others here, I would give ZERO stars if I could. The first issue was that I from one state to another in the 2nd year of the lease. Because it is a lease, I did not have the title, and therefore could not get new plates in my new state of residence. I called them over and over for 6 months trying to get the title so that I could get new plates. They balked and argued and said they wouldn't. By the time I finally got a hold of the title, I had been driving with expired plates for 5 months! When I went to get my new plates, I had to pay a $400 fine because my previous tags were expired. Chase refused to reimburse me for this.

Now, Chase is claiming that I owe them $500 in property taxes for the county in the state I used to live in -- more than a year ago! Not only have I not lived in that state or county for more than a year, but my monthly lease payments cover the property tax costs. I am in my 3rd & final year of the lease and have never had to pay a separate amount for property taxes before, but they are demanding I do now (my monthly payment has not changed, either -- it still is covering the property tax). They refuse to listen to me. I have had to file a complaint with the attorney general's office in the state I used to live in, file a complaint with the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and have hired an attorney as well.

It doesn't help that every time I call, it takes hours to get an answer of "I can't help you" or "I don't know". Just today, it took me 30 minutes just to get a hold of someone who could give me the address I needed to put on a complaint form. Please, if you know anyone who is considering financing an auto loan or lease with Chase, tell them not to. You will be saving them a lot of money, time, and stress. Save yourself the trouble, too.

My credit rating at Chase has always been substantially lower than my accounts with Discover, Bank of America, Amex, Citibank and Barclays. The reason was 7 inquiries within 2 years that put me as poor. Chase has me with a 723 and Amex 777. In the explanation on their web states that if you're applying for a car loan or a mortgage within 14 days they only count it as one. As I mentioned I have 7 with 3 on 8/11/2017 for a car loan through Chase. Went to their location in St Charles Illinois on Randall Rd. Showed them they were counting all the car inquiries. Showed the app showing 7 and they insisted they were only counting 1 which would make it 5 not 7. Also, wondering how I paid more interest on a fixed mortgage after Chase bought the mortgage from another company. Hate Chase. If they hadn’t bought the mortgage I would never do business with them.

If I could rate this company with zero stars, I would. Actually, negative stars would be more accurate. This has to be, by far, the most frustration that I have had with any company ever. Even over my local cable company, and that is saying a lot! When speaking with representatives from Chase, they are very cold, and will never, ever side with the consumer. Even if a company is in the wrong and still decides to not refund any money, at least a little empathy might help... Maybe I am wrong. It's almost as if they are robots, so I guess AI isn't as far away as we thought? Anyway, let's get on with it (warning, this review is very detailed, so skip to the last paragraph if you want a quick synopsis):

So, I received a letter from Chase Auto Financial regarding my end-of-lease charges. Everything was correct with the exception of a couple items. The first issue was regarding my “last” payment to them, which was made on Thursday, March 7th, 2019 for a payment due on Friday, March 8th, 2019. However, March 8th is the day that I signed into a new lease on my current WRX, at which point, I returned my 2016 WRX. And since the monthly payments get taken in advance, they were charging me for a month that I did not have the car.

Now, in my mind, it should not be that big of deal, correct? Chase will either issue me a refund, or I can use that payment towards any charges. Of course, Chase is not making it that easy in the slightest. They did refund me $276.52, HOWEVER, my last payment was for $298.57. So, why the discrepancy? Taxes. Chase refused to refund the taxes paid on my last payment, stating that they had already paid them to the state of California! I may be incorrect, but this is ridiculous to me.

Essentially, that would be like me going and buying an item for $5.00 and then returning it, only for the store to tell me that they would only be able to refund me $4.50, stating they pay taxes at the point of sale. It would never happen! At that point, I spoke to my local salesman, who said that the dealership’s hands were tied, which I understood. I then spoke to their finance department, at which point I was told to contact Subaru Corporate. I am not a rocket scientist, but I think there is a pattern developing here, right? After a lot of back and forth, Subaru Corporate finally agreed to refund me the money, however, I have to provide a ton of documentation. A lot of hassle over twenty bucks!

Now, onto the next issue. I had my pre-inspection done on my lease on Monday, February 25th, 2019, twelve days prior to my turn in date. I was never informed that the inspector needed to see the spare key at the time of the inspection. Never once did Subaru mention it to me on the phone, nor the they guy conducting the inspection. Whom, by the way, was kind of a d-bag, but that is neither here nor there. I glanced at the bill that was sent to me via email, figuring that there was still a final inspection to be done after I turned the car back into your dealership.

After a couple of weeks, I received the end-of-charges letter, and sure enough there was a charge for a “missing key.” I have spoken to my salesman, and he can confirm that I turned in 3 keys (2 FOBs, and a valet key). He told me to call Chase Auto Financial and have them contact your dealership to verify. That was last week, and as I have just gotten off the phone with a Chase Financial representative, they informed me that they are not allowed to speak with your dealership, or vice versa, about my account, as that information is private.

That sounds asinine, if you ask me. They said that there have to be written consent to discuss any information, even if it was between them and the dealership. So, they are going to resolve the dispute based on the pictures from the pre-inspection, which, of course, does not include a spare key. I have come to the realization that I am probably going to have to pay the $250.00, as if I don’t it will negatively impact my credit score.

The more I speak with Chase Auto Financial, Subaru Corporate, and your dealership, there seems to be no sense of ownership regarding resolution of this issue. When I call Chase, they tell me to talk to the dealership, and then I speak to the dealership, and they tell me to talk to Subaru Corporate, and so on and so on and so on…

I would understand if I was trying to dispute charge(s) that pertained to such stuff as damage (which is all relative), or something of that nature, but this situation is pretty clear cut. I returned the keys, and I paid for a month AFTER I had already returned the car on time. And now Chase Auto Financial is trying to bend me over on both charges. I have gotten to the point where this will be my last Subaru, unless somehow in three years Subaru decides to use a different company to process their leases. It has soured me so much that, I will be pulling all my accounts from Chase Bank, as I want nothing to do with them or their company.

The bottom line is, do everything in your power to avoid doing any business with Chase Auto Financial. I will literally be choosing my next car based on whether or not a particular dealership leases through Chase. Then it will be what I want in a car, color, etc. I am not exaggerating when I say that they will only make your life worse, and never better. If you do not believe me, then look at all the other reviews. I find it rare when you can only find bad reviews about a company, but this is one that fits the bill! If you choose to move forward with them, then do not say that I, actually all of the negative reviewers, did not warn you. Good luck!

Meanwhile as it is in dispute they reported it LATE to the credits! I found this out as I was getting pre qualified for a home loan. I have perfect credit, never late once on a payment on this car and I got a newer nicer RR with a bigger payment.

I called and they said they cannot help me. They also said they cannot write me a letter that I am in dispute to show credit agency. It is just credit fraud, murder, erroneous damage fees, misrepresentation, and INSANITY! The dealership when trading in should have given me opportunity to inspect. I turned it in approx 90 days early which was not in the pre-inspection period. I even had Encino Land Rover look at it and they did not find damage. I ended up going to Hornburg in Beverly Hills... REFUSAL TO REFUND OVERPAYMENT. On 2/19/19 the final payment for our loan was credited for a zero balance. Title has been released too. The money was taken from our checking on 2/21/19. On 2/22/19, 2 more payments were taken by Chase from our checking each for full amount and only one was reversed that day, so we are still out over $500. I have been trying since 2/27/19 to get someone at Chase.com or the call center to act, resolve and refund. The standard answer is, "Someone is reviewing and we’ll get back to you." It’s now almost 3 weeks since the error was made and 10 days since I was promised resolution and refund. Yet nothing from anyone Chase except a bunch of emails saying, "We’re sorry." Today’s email said, "Don’t write anymore -- we are not going to respond!"

Contacting to the call center is equally pointless. I made several calls: on 2/27, on 2/28, and on 3/2 and was promised refund on 3/7. Then she said it is being elevated and I should check Secure Message for updates. On 3/7 the date I was told I was getting the refund I called and they said it’s still open and elevated but no refund. Some suggested it was my bank’s error but since the transactions originated at Chase.com how is that possible? I have checked with my bank. The local branch who had nothing to do with this, did make a call last week and was told they would contact me Tuesday, Still waiting, I have had a Chase VISA for 20 years and never had anything but great customer service so this is exceptionally disappointing.

IMMORAL & WRONG PRACTICES, AND JUST WRONG. DO NOT USE SUBARU LEASING. When you lease a Subaru from your dealership and use a Subaru Lease, you should know at lease signing that you are giving Chase Subaru a blank check as well. In the lease you not only initial a $300 fee if you don't either lease or buy another vehicle, you also give Subaru Leasing a blank check. I signed so I was stuck, can't argue that. However, before turn-in, and after several letters and prompts they sent an appraiser out and wrote up every ding and scrape.

Please note that one (1) tire was 1/32 worn below passing. Here is the blank check part. The tires are not covered in the $1000 free damage. They can bill you for up to 4 tires because of the sensors. I was billed the $300 + an additional $195 for the tire and to add insult to injury they taxed me for an additional $35.15. When I decided to buy the car instead to resell it myself I was told it was auctioned and sold already so I could not do that. I paid for a worn tire that was probably never replaced and charged $300 I didn't expect because I didn't read carefully one of the many initial items. If you read this far then you must NOT give Chase Subaru a BLANK CHECK. Don't do it. I am supposed to be thankful I suppose that it wasn't more.

I’ve always paid through the online portal, but when I received the final payoff via US mail in the amount of $318 it was never noted in the online portal where I always check status. I was only made aware that my account was delinquent by a Credit Karma email so I called and spoke with a Chase Auto representative on February 11th, 2019 who indicated this was mailed to me early January 2019. When I received this statement there was no due date on the notice and I was instructed to mail in the payment to their service center with no account number. Now when I log into the Chase site this account has been totally removed and I have no way to access my payment history or account number.

I mailed through my automated bank bill pay on February 4, 2019 the complete payment for $318 to close out the account. The Chase representative who I spoke to on the phone on February 11th was unable to verify that they had even received this payment yet. And said it was another department that would have that information and she could not transfer or give me the info. There was NO DUE DATE on the final notice I received and was sent within 2 weeks of receiving the notice which I had to send via regular mail due to the fact there was no given method to make an online payment.

Now my credit score has been impacted severely and all the representative kept telling me is they are obligated by law to report delinquent payments and I could dispute by writing a letter to Chase. Very frustrating for a perfect 42 month payment record and now I can't even log into Chase to see any record of my old account. I will never bank with them again. Be aware!

The first time I called Chase, I was told I had to call them from the DMV office, and that they would fax an e-title while I waited. On Jan 9th, I called from the DMV as directed, only to be told that the DMV had to fax in a request, and it would take 10 business days to process. The DMV faxed the request, and I checked back in two weeks. At that point, I was told that the title had been mailed to the DMV Headquarters in Charleston, WV, and they should have it by Feb. 4th. I called the WV DMV Headquarters, who informed me that it would need to go to the local DMV office, as they would have no record of me or my request.

I called Chase/Subaru back, and asked if there was any way they could fax a copy of the title to the local office, and they said it would take an hour, and I would need to be at the DMV (same as the first call). Basically, multiple phone calls resulted in me spending a day at the DMV, with no fax ever being sent. I was always told it would 'take an hour', and at one point told that the VIN number of the car was wrong, and that I did not have an account (I read it off of the car). At the end of the day, the last agent informed me that I had waited too late to request the fax, and that it could not be sent until the following day. And then I asked if I paid the whole balance if they would remove the bad reporting of 1 30 day on my credit and she stated the same thing. Her tone was demeaning and she was rude. You think Chase would want customers to pay and help them. By their 1 star rating and all the stories and comments - looks like they don't care about their customers. If you need a lenient car loan company this is not it. Maybe stick with credit unions to start and then refinance with the credit union if the loan is too high after about a year. I have been a faithful customer to Chase auto finance for 10 years, two vehicles. I have never once missed a payment. Never once. I have been happy with the options of paying on my app, the customer service, etc. till today. I'm actually just sick over it. I let them know that we have been customers for over 10 years and that we do the majority of our banking through them as well. I let them know we are purchasing a home and we thought we could get their help by extending one payment for 439.00 to help with the process of getting into a home. The lady from the beginning was strangely acting like an investigator before I even provided my name. It was so strange, like they are sworn to protect something, asking all kinds of strange questions in a suspicious tone.

After offering all of my on time payment history information, our family's intent on buying a home, the lady put me on hold, with a (hopeful attitude reflected in her voice for the first time) and then comes back on to say, your request is denied. I asked "why". She said "Because it does not fall into the criteria of being granted an extension". I said, "I called my other bank SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union and they didn't even ask me why I needed an extension, they simply had me sign an e-form and sent me on my way and I was approved". I said what is the criteria for Chase auto? She said she can not provide me with that information and that she didn't know. I said, "So let me get this right, I pay for 10 years on two vehicles and never miss a payment and your loyal customers are not granted even one extension on a payment even when we are trying to do something good and honest"?

Like I said I am sick over this, I just really mostly can't believe how my husband and I have tried so hard to get these payments in, even in hard times and we did that successfully and when we actually need something (one significant thing) that would help us so much, they won't consider it. I have read other reviews on this site and I'm appalled at how people who were even losing their jobs were treated. It scares me to think that if we were ever in a much worse situation that we would most assuredly be denied. I agree with the prior writers on this post, senseless department at Chase Bank. We may refinance the auto loan after getting the home, obviously not getting a home loan through them either.

The very next month I paid $700 (my monthly is $511) then something happened and I was in able to go to work and missed 2 payments. They repoed the vehicle without notice in July. So I figured hey my fault I missed the payments. They charged me just short of $4000.00 and that got me my vehicle back and brought me back to current.

I have made every payment since I got the vehicle back including an overpayment this month. They repossessed my vehicle again last night and they are claiming that I owe them $2000 and was never brought back to current so my payments have been behind 2 months each month I am paying. They told me they did not receive November's payment but I have proof I paid it with the reference number and everything! Does this make any sense to anyone! Because not me so either way they took the car and said I owe them $2000. Well that's 4 months. Why didn't they say anything to me last month or the month before and if I still owe them that much in back payments why didn't they tell me or take the car away in October then? This company sucks. Customer service is so bad and they just lie, cheat and steal from everyone. I will be pursuing legal action against them. If anyone reads this and has had a similar situation please email me.

I purchased a new vehicle, I had it for 8 months, I lost my job. When I lost my job I kept in contact with Chase Auto telling them from day one of my job loss. I did what I could as far as making payments with the unemployment I was receiving. I even called to ask if there was a chance that I could maybe put a payment to the back of my loan when I started to see that I was falling further behind on making my payments. Naturally that answer was NO.

I understand that if you want to keep your vehicle that you have to pay for it. After me becoming 3 months behind I finally talked to one of the many representatives that told me something different with each one I did speak with along with the rudeness I received from some, explained to me if I could make this one payment I would be eligible for a skipped payment. So with this being presented to me, I asked a friend for help to make the payment and I did so. After the money exchanged hands I got transferred to another person on the phone which asked me some questions about my current situation. I then get told that I do not qualify for the skipped payment. I was told the reason was that I was not far enough behind to be granted the skipped payment. Really???

So with that being said I fell further and further behind. I was going to make a 2-month payment and I was told, "Well we will take the money but the repossession order will remain on your vehicle." So the person that was going to help me out with making those 2-month payments decided that they were no longer going to help me, because what was the sense if they were still going to come take it. Which they eventually did come and take it.

I just feel and (this is just my opinion) but wouldn't you think that they would want you to keep your vehicle and work with you on keeping it. But hey who am I?

After they did Repo it I called to find out how much it would be to get it back. They wanted the whole amount remaining on the loan which was $20,000.00 Which takes me back to Wouldn't you think they would want you to keep your vehicle? Needless to say I will NEVER DO ANY KIND OF BANKING WITH CHASE. -Baffled in Ohio

Wow - talk about a company taking the worst possible course of action. About six months ago, I switched banks and set up all of my vendors to be paid automatically by the new bank. Unfortunately there was some kind of handshaking error and Chase was not paid for three successive months, of which I had no idea. Rather than pick up the phone or better yet send me a text message or email (as superior vendors such as AMEX and Amazon do), Chase decided to send me letter after letter after letter. I confess that the letters went unread because I do travel a lot and sometimes my mail piles up. But with so any faster, modern means of communication you would think Chase would get with the program. They did not.

They FINALLY got me on the phone three months after the fact (after confessing that they don't leave phone messages either) and I had them paid and the entire situation resolved in less than 2 days. Yet their decision was to ruin my credit rating anyway. They are intractable and don't deviate from their mail-only policy for anyone. Which is why they will continue to get their butts kicked and lose market share going forward. A company that sticks its head in the sand and thinks their customers will stay with them is no company to be doing business with. Do yourself a favor and get your next auto loan that embraces 21st-century technology rather than Chase, which remains stuck in the 20th.

I decided to refinance my auto lease from Honda Finance to Chase Auto Finance in October 2018. The reason I initially chose Chase was to consolidate my banking and auto into one easy spot to access both. I went into a branch for a consultation and was subsequently placed on the phone to complete the application. It was a complete waste of time going into a branch, as they cannot give you any detailed information regarding auto financing. After applying via phone, I received a phone call back from the branch stating I was approved for the loan, and would be receiving a phone call from the auto finance department with my next steps and provided a loan application number; I waited 2 days and no phone call.

1st call - Was not apologetic and told that they needed to call Honda via phone and get the pay off info (which I already provided). Placed on hold and rep came back and stated that they were closed for the day and would need to contact Honda the following day. She set an appointment for 3 pm my time to call me since she needed me on the line when contacting them. Waited another 2 days with no callback.

2nd call - Discussed I never received a phone call as promised for the second time in a row and after note review was told "That was one of my colleagues" and apologized. She offered to contact Honda for me. Waited on hold for quite a while and three wayed in with Honda. Honda gave pay off quote which included the taxes and clearly heard the conversation and took detailed notes. The Chase rep then requested the information in writing via fax and confirmed it was received while on the phone and told everything was good to go. She explained the next step was for me to receive my loan documents via email and to expect within 24 hours; This never happened.

3rd call - Was told the faxed Honda finance payoff was not clear as if they included the taxes. Since it was a Saturday, I had to wait until Monday or agree to add in 1,000 + in taxes and get as a refund at a later time if I wanted the loan documents sent that day. After an hour on the phone and expressing my frustration, the gentleman promised that he would call me back and set an appointment for Monday morning. He called as promised and got things squared away (so I thought). Received online finance documents.

4th call - Drove to CA since I was taking my daughter off the car and she needed to sign documents. Went to bank and was told the paperwork was incomplete since there was not a sale notice provided to be notarized in any of the documents and actually received 2 buyers notices instead. I was lucky enough the notary actually was in the car loan business and knew what to look for. Called Chase and they emailed the correct document. Asked to speak with a supervisor at this point, was asked for the reason and placed on a 30 min hold; I ended the call.

Almost 7 days later and driving to CA, I was furious at the lack of attention to detail and care for their customers. I jumped through hoops to get this done just because I didn't want to have my credit re-ran and have to start the process all over. Today is 12/11/2018 and although I have made 2 car payments to Chase, I have yet to receive my new registration, tags and received a late registration notice from the MVD.

5th call - Told they have 60 days and did not receive the title from Honda until 11/16 and would send a notice to me in the mail asking that they extend my registration. Called the MVD and they stated they have never heard of such, have no record of Chase being the new lean holder and still have record of Honda finance as the lien holder. SO today I will be on my 6th phone call to Chase with approximately 6 to 7 hours of phone time with them. JP Morgan Chase should stick to basic banking since that is about their only capability at this point. Once I receive my registration, I will be considering refinancing at a credit union as I cannot trust that there will not be any future hiccups.

I have had two successfully paid off auto loans through Chase. I called to get pre-approved for a new car. I was told by two people at Chase that I had to do it at the dealership since they have a special relationship with Subaru, well if they did I still got screwed! Fast forward to the dealership. Everyone knows how a car dealership listens. I was very specific and said I only wanted Chase Bank and to only run my credit through Chase Bank and I was to be the only one on the loan. So needless to say they screwed up and ran it through 10 different agencies along with adding my husband who was not supposed to be on my loan. So then the dealership had to go back the next day and rerun my credit, and even after me specifically saying again I only wanted my credit ran through Chase they ran it through 10 different agencies a second time.

So since Chase refused to pre-approve a loyal customers car loan my credit score has now dropped over 90 points due to an ignorant Subaru dealership. I used to love Chase but after this loan is paid off I will never have anything to do with them again. I will even close my checking and saving accounts. They need to have customer service that will actually help customers who want to stay with Chase. I used always defend Chase to people that hated them, but that will never happen again!

My situation I purchased a lease car, had my bank send them a check for the purchase within 2 days and after almost 2 months I still have not received a title, I have been renting me a car spending $200/week since the registration cannot be renewed without a title. DMV asked to get a POR (Power of Attorney) so I could at least renew the registration until they locate the title or get a duplicate title. I am still dealing with this trying to call every other week and after almost 2 months they still have not resolved the issue.

I find it ludicrous that Chase has neglected to send me either a title or power of attorney (to extend the registration) in this amount of time. I am completely frustrated by the incompetence exhibited by Chase Auto. I have told the manager that I no longer wanted to buy this car due to Chase’s negligence. Title being so important I do not understand why they can't they send this in a certified mail or express mail having a tracking number so you can trace. They said claimed that I fell behind and that every time I made a payment via the phone I was paying for the past month which was past due. I explained the lady that the phone system was confusing because it always said I was current. The late payment affected my credit and I told the lady very politely that I had misunderstood the phone system and I asked for a goodwill credit to get the negative mark on my credit removed but she was extremely rude, stated that it was ILLEGAL to remove a mark on my credit report and in so many words implied that I was stupid.

Since I couldn't find the title, I went to the DMV for a duplicate. The lien holder, Chase, was supposed to file an electronic release of lien with the State of Colorado when it was paid off. DMV told me they didn't have it, so I called Chase. They said they filed it 2 1/2 years ago. I told them the DMV didn't have it and asked if they could send another electronic lien release. They wouldn't do it because it's a "legal document" and it has to be sent via regular mail. Well they electronically filed it the first time so why wouldn't they do it again? Now it's a legal document that has to be mailed!

I was on the phone for an hour, first with a rep and then with his supervisor Tony who was worse than the first guy. I needed the title today because the car is sitting in a tow lot racking up a bill of $30.00 per day. Chase could have cared less, they'll stick it in the regular mail when they get to it. They were not willing to expedite it either so I'm supposed to just wait. When I asked the supervisor when I could expect it he said "I don't know," when I asked him to give me a ballpark he said he couldn't "commit to anything." I asked him to call me back later today with a status and he said he would, but of course, he didn't. This is customer service? I will NEVER take out a Chase loan again and I recommend that you don't either.

Nobody at CHASE understood where to begin.

Late in the afternoon on the 2nd day the status was it is in the system not sure when it will be reviewed or by who. On Monday night my car was taken from my driveway. I thought it was stolen. No warning or threat of this happening ever came from Chase AUTO LOAN. I pay ALL my payments online in their secure transfer from CHASE BANK. When I called my bank, they reviewed my payments and agreed, something is off. For late payments (not in excess of approx. 100 days) this car should not have been repossessed or left at the redemption (what a way to describe thieves) center.

The redemption center, equipped with people who are "shady" to put it kindly, demands full payment of the remainder of my loan within 10 days and said they're selling it at auction and will serve me with a bill for whatever is remaining on the loan or I'll be put in jail. This is going to turn into an eyewitness news scam alert. I called Subaru as well, sent a confidential representative into Chase Car Loan and it remains a "red flag" on them. Chase Car Loan is going out of business, and is not supposed to repossess a car without notification and a demand for whatever payment (maybe a month's late payment? I pay my car loan). Not this.

This is deceitful and illegal. They have got to be exposed and I want my car returned. A lawsuit seems to be the next step because Chase Car Loan has put me on hold, transferred my calls then hung up and is making sure they send the message that they are guilty. Like I said, my entire dilemma is under investigation by Chase Banking as I type. This experience is not going by unnoticed and I won't be scammed for 16000 from a bank of their choice which will just become another scam. Subaru as well has them flagged.

3 years of paying (ON TIME) monthly car payments w/ no issues. This year, Chase auto loan service has issued "late payments" warnings to me when payments were actually made on a timely basis through Edward Jones Financial Services (my investment account). They claim "lost" checks, and when 2 ENTIRE days were spent on the phone or near the phone waiting for a call from Chase "escalation specialists", still no resolution to the problem, CREATED BY THEM. The COMMUNICATIONS between departments at that HUGE corporation is ABSENT. The latest "escalation specialist" told me "the processing department does not communicate with the research department and they do not speak w/ customers..." Therefore any simple info. to solve the problem (i.e. check #s etc. is out of the question).

I tried to go to the source w/ check numbers etc to get the problem resolved. Maybe the "all over the map" locations for their services is the problem or computer hacking? Checks are sent to Ft. Worth, Texas, the Subaru Chase Auto loans are in Phoenix, Az, and the "specialists on the phone" are in Florida!!! Communication Problem, go figure??? I am a retired elementary teacher and this B.S is so obvious... I have NEVER missed any bill payment in all my 62 years. DO NOT use Chase as your auto loan resource!!! Totally incompetent and customer service is an illusion. All the "recordings" of your phone interactions obviously have no EFFECT on the ETHICS of their "bottom line" which is INDEED AT THE BOTTOM!!!

They will send request after request and eventually if you keep calling, they will tell you no. Horrible customer service!

My experience with Chase Auto Finance was fine until I was ready to pay off the account. I spent a combined 3.5 hours on the phone, talking to approximately 7 different representatives and 4 different supervisors. Each person told me different information (amount of time for a title release after pay off of my vehicle, whether or not phone conversations could be listened to, etc), and I was transferred quickly to different departments.

I was told I would receive calls back from Portia in Customer Service and Jamie in Collections on Wednesday by the latest (it is Friday and no phone call), and in all, I would say I talked to 1 person that felt like she was dedicated to my experience. I don't feel like I was listened to, which is probably the most frustrating. I will never again do business with Chase, and I am shocked that Subaru continues their relationship after reading all the other complaints. It sounds like I am one of many that have endured the painful customer (un)service that Chase Auto Finance has.

In 2014, I acquired a loan through Mazda and they sent it to Chase Auto Services. I did not miss any payments and decided to pay off the loan. I did my due diligence, I went online and got the payoff amount (which was a little more than the notified balance due to the daily interest rate) and I sent it to them. They ended up sending the payment back to my bank and did not notify me – but the kicker is they sent me the title. Well I, acting in good faith, spoke to my bank to acquire a loan because I no longer had all the funds to pay them off.

After receiving a 15-day payoff letter from Chase, my bank sent them the check to pay off my loan with them. Guess what, 3 weeks later, Chase takes money out of my account in the amount of my monthly payment. I was informed by the customer service agent that they never received the check from my bank; yet it is showing online that it was credited to my account less than a week after I signed the loan papers. Now, they created a ticket and I have to wait 21 days for them to get back to me. Meanwhile, my loan is still accruing daily interest, which she says they will reimburse me for plus my automatic payment – we’ll see. I have lost faith in Chase. Matter of fact, I’m closing my Chase credit cards too.

I've leased 3 vehicles now through Chase Auto Finance because unfortunately that is the company Subaru uses. For my second lease, I went over with my mileage some and owed extra when I turned my vehicle in (June 2016). It wasn't a big deal because I knew it was going to happen. In fact, I was able to work out a deal with the dealership where the car payments for my 3rd vehicle were higher per month and the dealership wrote me a check to send to chase once the full amount of the excess mileage was figured out.

About a month later (July 2016), I contacted Chase to see if they had figured out the excess amount owed. They informed me the account was not officially closed yet but should be within the next 30-60 days. They will send me a letter with what I owed. In September 2016, I still hadn't received anything so I called and followed up with Chase again. Chase still hadn't closed the account and told me to wait another 30 days. I continuously followed up in October 2016, November 2016 and then beginning of December 2016. I still received nothing.

At the end of December 2016, I received a letter from a collection agency informing me that my Chase Auto account was overdue! I immediately called Chase to figured out why I was sent to a collection agency. The service representative informed me that she could not give me any information because I was sent through a collection agency and I need to contact them. I contacted the collection agency and asked what was going on. They informed me that they didn't have any background information and that I needed to contact Chase Auto Finance for that.

After numerous phone calls back and forth between the collection agency and Chase Auto Finance, I still wasn't informed why I never received an initial closure letter from Chase to begin with. No one seemed to have any information. I kept all of this documentation and contacted the Better Business Bureau to see if they could help me get in touch with Chase Auto Finance to figure things out. They contacted Chase Auto Finance several times but couldn't get any information either.

The reason for my review now is that Chase Auto Finance "officially" closed my account almost 2 years later and marked it as "collection". When checking my monthly credit score, I noticed a significant 50-60 point drop on all my scores because the account was marked in a negative way. I've had 15 years now of different payments (student loans, mortgage, credit cards, etc.) and had never once not paid on time or been sent to a collection agency. Now I have this "bad mark" because Chase Auto Finance couldn't do their job or communicate anything to me properly. After my current lease is up, I'm debating on going with a different car. As much as I have loved my Subarus, I don't want to deal with Chase Auto Finance again.

I financed my vehicle with Chase in 2015 and lived in Connecticut. I now live in Mississippi as of January 2017. Chase did not forward title documents to Mississippi when I registered my vehicle but I did not find out until March 2018 after requesting information from Mississippi for a month. So from March until May 2018, Chase has continuously said they are trying to get a duplicate title, but does not call back or do anything to alleviate the problem. They sent a FedEx request to the state of Connecticut.

I refinanced in Mississippi over the phone last year, Mar 2017. Chase did not respond to Mississippi and did not do anything until I started calling and has provided no proof that they are doing anything now. They expect me to drive my vehicle unregistered which is a violation of state laws. Way to go Chase! I can't refinance with another company because of the no proof of title. I have to keep paying Chase for my credit, but they have no title. What am I supposed to do as a consumer?

You can make your payments through Chase in one of two ways: you can either pay online or you can pay on the phone automated service. If you make your payment online with Chase, it must be submitted before 8 p.m. Pacific time. That is literally 6 pm in my time zone. I have never in my life heard of such a silly deadline time. If you make your payment over the phone, be sure you don't make any mistakes with your payment information. You will get a confirmation number no matter what.

However, I have been looking at my account after making my payment on the 6th of April and realized that it still hasn't gone through. Because some information I put in was incorrect or it was a fault of the automated system. So now, my car payment is going to be shown late on my credit report and I'm being charged extra interest. The only reason I use the automated system was because it was after 8 Pacific time so I couldn't make it on the Chase website. They really need to rethink the way they are accepting payments. This is my first car buying experience and I am a fan of Chase, as I have a credit card with them, but this is just silly.

I gave him the landscape of the situation, had to repeat several times that I had the POA that I could send immediately to prove my legal authority to discuss her account, but he kept parroting back to me that I wasn't on the account so he couldn't speak with me. Again, I reiterated that I could immediately send the documents to show that I have LEGAL broad sweeping authority to handle this matter. Again, he parroted back to me that I wasn't on the account. Right.

I requested to be transferred to a supervisor-- he put me on a long hold-- then came back and let me know that he spoke to his 'colleague' and that person said they couldn't help me. Seriously? I confirmed, yet again, that we were being recorded, and that he was refusing to send me to some sort of an escalation team member or manager who could receive the information and help me expedite resolving the car matter for my ailing mother. Seriously, Chase? I've never heard of such an absurd policy, and I question the legality of the entire thing. Clearly you guys are a large corporation, so individuals may not matter all that much, but you can be assured that I will ensure that my family never banks with you, my small business will never bank with you, and I will tell everyone in my social sphere about this.

I bought a truck in Oct of 2017 and financed with JP Morgan Chase. It has been nothing but torture since then! My husband and I made our payments through their automated phone system each month and each month, I received a call from the collection dept stating they had not received the payment. We went through the entire process of giving the confirmation numbers, which of course they couldn't locate, and verifying we made the payments. In January, I received a call 8 o'clock at night from a nasty woman stating my vehicle was due to be repossessed d/t non-payments. That very next morning, after yelling at my husband all night, we went to our bank to find out we had actually sent the payments, but they had been returned to our account. (Not sure how that happened).

We called Chase from our bank and had the loan officer assisting us attempt to make the entire amount due, but they would not accept payment over the phone via check or debit. After the loan officer advised them there were no local Chase branches in our area, they "reluctantly" took the payment. February went ok, but now March has arrived and guess what??? Same issues. They call me to state my payment is past due and want me to pay over the phone. I get a contact number to call back and call my bank to make sure the payment has not been debited from my account, it hasn’t. I call the automated number to make the payment and it states "unable to accept payment d/t pending payment today". WTH???

Our payment we made on March 3rd is still pending as of today, March 11th!!! I call to speak to an agent who proceeds to tell me they cannot accept a payment over the phone and I will have to go to a branch. There are no branches in my area lady!!! Too many insufficient check returns is their reason for not accepting payment by phone...go to my bank and get a printout since Oct. NONE, ZERO, ZILTCH!!! Nothing returned from JP Morgan Chase Auto Finance!!! I start yelling at them, and yes, a little cussing...sorry, not sorry! I advise them to not call me and ask for a payment over the phone if they won’t accept a payment from me over the phone. They want a certified money order or mail in a check. I am now attempting to set it up through my bank in the automatic bill pay instead for through Chase. Hope it works!

I honestly, down to my absolute core, think this company tries to make it so difficult for people to make payments just so they can charge them late fees!!! It is absolutely ludicrous the way this company works!!! Please, Please, Please if you can finance through anyone other than this company, I am telling to run like hell!!! They are horrible!!! I tried to file a complaint with the BBB, but I can't leave a complaint on Chase!!! Now I have to try to repair my credit that has been ruined since January! I had collection on my credit with Verizon Wireless that I REFUSE to pay d/t another cellular company was to pay them off...another story. But anywho, that's why I ended up with Chase and it was one of the absolute worse mistakes of my life! IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS, I WOULD.

I am on disable and get a check once a month. I only owed them 1500 more dollar and was paying them 500 each month. Little did I know that the interest rate would go sky high and they never told the same story even when in three days I paid them 900 then two days later 220. Then I find out about late fees and the money went to two different departments so the money I paid never was coming down.

Then they shut down my account so I had to call them then later reopened it only to find out they jacked up what I owed by 43 more added dollars and said until I paid it off I would owe them 29 for the next nine days but saw on my account 1.67 per day. As long as I live I will never trust Chase bank again... when people say stay away from Chase that is a true. Thought they even told me to go to a church and ask for the money or look up a company that helps people like me what was next stand on the corner? Some were mean and only out of 8 reps 2 was ok but still is not tell me the same thing. Stay away from Chase. They have no heart at all. And they don't care about you or your health or nothing.

Unbelievable to me that they would not secure the title immediately at the onset of the loan. More unbelievable is that after learning that the title was not secured in November they STILL HAVE NOT DONE SO. WOW. Car was deemed a total loss on 10-31-17. Chase has known since November and still no results. REALLY CHASE? How many car payments must I make on a car sitting in a salvage yard? I live in the DFW metroplex where a car is an absolute necessity. I'm paying for one, but I can't drive it. I can't even get another car with this loan still open. Come on Chase, get off your butts and do your jobs. Somebody should be fired. Fed up with this situation and they don't care attitudes. I have been banking with Chase for many years and do lots of business with them. I have never had a problem and had always considered them a great bank, never had a problem. I have a checking account with them and a car loan. I have excellent credit (always pay my bills like clockwork and have never been late), and have an excellent credit score of 798. My son wanted to buy a truck and I was going to cosign for him as I wanted him to build his credit. My son is 18 and has no credit cards and zero credit history, no credit in his name whatsoever. After applying for the used car loan, Chase came back with an APR of 18.5% for the car loan! Seriously??? I could have put the car on my personal credit card and would have had a better rate than that!!! I talked to an underwriter with Chase and they said, "Ok, we'll give you our best rate possible of 9.99%." Again, seriously??? What kind of suckers do they think people are anyway?

I decided to take my son off the loan completely with Chase auto finance and apply just by myself figuring I could get a way better interest rate than that. Chase called me after I applied and asked why I decided to apply again but this time on my own. I was honest and told them I wanted a better interest rate. People you are not going to believe this, but my loan was denied completely! I applied online with LendingTree.com and had many offers for great interest rate loans. I was able to secure a loan for my son's used truck at 4%. Thank you Lending Tree and LightStream!

My personal opinion, Chase doesn't want to secure a low interest rate loan because it's not worth their time, money, or effort. Well, I will never attempt to apply for a loan through Chase again. I like banking with them well enough, like the fact that they have ATMs all over the country so I can avoid fees when possible. However, that's where our relationship will stay. Very unfortunate to see a business treat a long time customer like this.

I made my car payments on time for 4 years while employed and even continued making payments for 6 months after losing my job, but I fell 3 months behind after having medical bills that my new "affordable" insurance would not cover. So Chase repoed my car on a Thursday even though I had made a payment the prior Monday which brought my account to 1.5 months past due. I called them immediately to find out what I needed to do to get the car back. They are supposed to provide a reinstatement amount in 24 hours, but I had to call them repeatedly - several times a day for 6 DAYS - before someone could provide me with the reinstatement amount.

By that time, they had added an additional month payment, a $750 repo fee and $140 in late charges for a total of $1900 which they needed paid in 12 days. It took me 3 weeks to pay them the money. Since the repo agent had turned in my tags and cancelled my registration, after paying them I called DMV to find out what I needed to do to reregister the car. DMV told me that I needed a letter from a Chase giving me permission to reregister the car. I called a Chase rep who told they had never provided such a letter and have many clients in NY that all I needed to do was to go to DMV to reregister the car -suggested that I speak with a supervisor.

So I take the morning off of my new job to stand outside in the cold for 30 mins on a line that had formed down the block before the doors had even opened. Everything goes smoothly but once they check the ownership, DMV told me - and yes I spoke with a supervisor- that there is no way I can reregister the car because Chase has changed the title already, They said, "Chase SHOULD know that they changed the title and SHOULD be well aware that I can't register the vehicle." So again I need a letter giving me permission to register the car in my name again and they need to change the title over. I call Chase and again they seem to be completely clueless as if they've never had to do this in NY. They finally agree to draft the letter but have no idea when they can provide it to me.

As for changing the title, oh "that takes weeks". I've called to find out when I can at least get the letter but the person who writes the letters - just like the person who calculates the reinstatement amount - is never at his/her desk. In the meantime, I'm still being charged a daily storage fee from the repo agent. The icing on the cake was the last rep I spoke with before asking for her supervisor who told me "It takes weeks to change the title, this is why we requested that you pay by the date we gave you". OK. 1) It took you just a few days to change the title so why will it take WEEKS to change it back? 2) I'm glad that Chase pays you so well but for most of us it takes more than a few days to come up with $2000.

Maybe if you hadn't taken 6 days just to calculate that amount, I would have have it in time. Who knew you'd be adding close to $1000 in repo fees and late charges. Storage fees still accumulating... Will have to take more time off to go back to DMV. I was so tempted to let them auction the car and now I wish they had.

Chase Auto Finance wrongfully repossessed a vehicle. I bought a vehicle from My Imports Auto and they ran information and offered Chase Auto Finance as a lender to use. Not knowing the bad reviews of Chase I accepted and put money down and signed up. I gave all my bank information and made payments. Had a hardship including medical and auto incident, had repaired, and kept paying. Since the beginning, there were issues with recurring payments. Sometimes a double charge would be sent through and other times the account page that the account was past due. I NEVER received correspondence from them about an account delinquency, but the claim is that I was 86 days delinquent on a car payment.

In the interim my account showed current and I did not get a call until they called after repossessing my vehicle. I received no phone call, email, or contact through Chase on the account. I had tried confirming the bank account three times prior to that so it could withdraw from a bank I had already paid them from and apparently they could not confirm, I have had the account for 13 years.

There was no notification until they sent a notice to sell within 15 days of taking it. When I called to pay up to date and explain, it was stated "you will need to pay the full account balance or have the car sold at auction, and 10 days to do so. Also, it was explained it was a high risk and that instead of staying the finance option, I should try to refinance for $25,000 when I only owed $22,000 and then I could drive it." I called an attorney as I felt it was very unreasonable and odd. I was advised to file chapter 13 bankruptcy and that I could get my vehicle back quickly. I called Chase multiple times to work out a plan. Nothing was offered.

I then asked for escalations and explained I had a leave and the issue was the bank confirmation and I was more than willing to pay the payment and if that was not an option I wanted to try and settle out of court and make an offer for a strong but fair offer. All of a sudden this was an option, after numerous calls and waiting, now I was talking to a senior specialist who could look at a settlement option but any financing with Chase in the future would be negated possibly.

I called gave the offer which was between fair market and dealer value minus my downpayment, so just under $20,000. I called two times after that and it was still in review. I finally called and was told it had been declined. No counter offer or options and I said, I will see you in court and I know you recorded every call and my attorney will be requesting that as well as any documents, because I called to pay up to date and even made an offer. I said you would rather keep it and auction and lose money, than let me become current and drive.

I am not without employment and it was a banking error. Most representatives were less than kind and did not have much in answer or assistance. My final call when I had to call to find out about the offer, the "senior specialist in escalation" said, "unless there was a hardship, we cannot accept the offer." Hello, I told you there was a hardship but it did not affect my ability to pay, the unconfirmed account on your end is the issue. I went and retrieved my items and plate and it was being stored in a rickety collision shop yard in a chain linked fence.

The unreasonable nature of the support and representatives when I tried to resolve in several ways and even had to know the "language" to even get to the escalations is deplorable. My proposed resolution on day one was to pay whatever they "thought" I was in arrears (clearly be a double payment) so that my account would be current or closed of if settled. They refused, and said if I wanted the car back to pay all the repossession fees and BUY THE CAR OUTRIGHT.

I am pursuing legal action against Chase due to nature of their business practices and financing in the predatory fashion. When it goes to auction, no one will pay what I was willing even outright as it was hit by a deer and the insurance only wanted to cover a portion. I had the other parts purchased and would repair, but now I am selling them online. The lesson here is review the dealerships and lenders before signing and I will be contacting the better business bureau as well as filing against Chase and possibly the dealership for gross negligence in business and consumer practices which are deplorable and shady at best.

If this is was is acceptable now, my concern is for future practices as this is modern day pirating. Even if I have to file Chapter 13 bankruptcy and go to court, I am unwilling to pay them any funds now because there is no philanthropy or social responsibility being administered and I am embarrassed I even thought financing was a good idea. I am willing to pay an attorney to expose Chase and I could have paid more than auction price and avoided it all. The real kicker is the amount for auto sale and finance was $3000 as attached. So disappointed and will retain the attorney and take them to court as well as file reviews and complaints about the dealership.

After slow payments due to an emergency I called to make payment arrangements. Spoke with a gentlemen that said there would be no problem in making payment arrangements. After paying 1800.00 in 1 month (my actual payments were 547.00) I was told I needed the balance 27,000.00 to keep the truck. They told me that the truck loan had been written off at the end of the month BEFORE I made the 1800.00 payment. Please do not use this company. THEY ARE RIPOFF ARTISTS. They do not stand behind the agreements their agents make with you.

Chase Auto Finance is a horribly run business. I'm in the process of switching from a lease to buying my car and it’s been one problem after another. They have all these different departments that you have to talk with to accomplish anything and they wasted 45 minutes of my time and I still couldn’t get the help I needed. Later I tried calling again to make a down payment which they can apparently only do with my routing and checking account info which for some reason they don’t already have. I’ve been making automatic payments for years! For some reason they have info from a bank account I’ve never used with them. These people are so unhelpful it makes me sick. I’ve never dealt with more unhelpful, incompetent.

I have an autoload through Land Rover Chase and each month the auto payment goes through for a different amount and I am charged a late fee. It is difficult to get through to a person on the customer service number and when I finally reach someone, they say they need to transfer me - and it goes back in an automated message that will not give me access to a live customer service rep. This has been going on for six months without anyone correcting the error or contacting me at all.

This company should not be allowed to deal with the public. They threatened repo when only one month behind. Chase has to be as stupid as loan sharks. The bad PR will flow over to their other businesses, I hope. If anyone is getting a car loan, never deal with Chase. Pay a higher rate, and deal with humans not human garbage!!!

For the last payment, Chase sent a bill stating that they will not take an auto payment and we are to pay by mailing a check. After the check was sent, they indeed did take the auto payment and also cashed the check creating a double payment. They said the money would be returned to my account within 10 business days, but at 10 days, still no money. This appears to be a recurring scam on their part as I see other reviews with this issue as well. Please let me know when the class action suit begins, because I am all in!

Yesterday my truck was repo'd because I fell on hard times after having not missed a payment since I got it. After talking to a rep to make arrangements they still took my truck and when I called to see what I needed to pay to get it back, I was told I had to pay it off! If I had $20,000 trust me I would not have been in this situation. They will NOT work with you at all! WORST COMPANY EVER!!! If you are trying to get financed run, don't just walk away from any dealer trying to get you financed with them!

I have a Subaru leased through Chase Auto. I moved from RI to NC in early June of 2017 and have been trying to register my car here ever since. I reached out to Chase on June 30th requesting a copy of the title and limited Power of Attorney so I could go to the DMV and register the vehicle. They decided it was a good idea to send the original title to the NC DMV instead of sending a copy, and they didn't keep a copy on file for themselves.

Fast forward about a month and a half (the DMV had me jumping through multiple unnecessary hoops from early July through early August), and I needed to reach out to Chase for a simple tax form that needed to be faxed to the DMV. The form only required a box to be checked off, the tax ID number and a signature. I was told it was a special request form and would take two weeks. After a bit of back and forth, I was told they would request an expedite on the form... needless to say, it still took the full two weeks. When I finally followed up and was told the form was faxed (yes, I had to follow up, they did not notify me), I went to the DMV to find out that they had gone through some changes and lost the title, POA and my bill of sale.

On Thursday, August 17th, I had to reach back out to Chase to request another copy of the title. Because they were so careless and did not keep a copy of the title on file after sending the ORIGINAL through the mail to the DMV, they were not able to send a copy and told me that they needed to request a duplicate from Rhode Island. I spent some time on the phone with them and was told that they would put the request in immediately and would note that it needed to be done as soon as possible.

After 3 weeks of waiting and not hearing any updates (I figured I would give the process a bit of time), I decided to reach out to check on the status. I was told on September 9th that they received my request for a duplicate title and it was being reviewed. They also had the nerve to ask that I "kindly allow some time for the review process to be completed." After 3 weeks, they are telling me that it is still being reviewed and implied that I was being impatient for checking the status.

I began this whole ordeal back at the end of June. It is now almost mid September and there is still no resolution in sight for me. My RI registration expired quite some time ago due to Chase dragging their feet and being careless with me as a customer. I have been left without legal use of my car and no matter how many times I reach out to them for help, they continue to stall and not do anything to help correct a situation that they are at least half at fault for (the NC DMV being the other party to blame). Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for auto financing. I have leased two vehicles through Chase Auto and have had no issues up to this point, but this has completely pushed me over the edge and I will not be returning to them in the future.

Couple of weeks ago my car loan was paid off. Needless to say the payment still was taken out of my account. Since that time I have spoken to numerous people and they have all assured me that the money will be returned as the loan was paid off. First I was told that I would be sent a check, well that never happened. Second, I was told it would be put back into my account, then I was told that it would be 10 business days before it would be put back, well it's now 10 business days and no money. This was my money for paying bills, which I am now late on. I am to the point of hiring a lawyer to sue for my payment and the interest for them holding my money for over 2 weeks. This is certainly not right but I cannot get anyone to return my money. Definitely would not consider a auto loan with these crooks again.

Who would have thought that number one, the car is a lemon, I've been pouring money into it ever since I drove it off the lot. Worse yet, I end up sacrificing my right ARM and left leg to Chase in the form of roughly $9000 for a $3000 lemon!!! Chase's new CEO is in the news lambasting other people for their shoddy business practices. What about HIS company? People are being ripped off! Hey buddy, look in the mirror...

If I could give Chase 0 stars I would. I am leaving for the Peace Corps and need to sell my car. I paid 3000 dollars to get it paid early and at this time I changed my address. After two weeks, I never received the title. I called and they said they mailed it to my old address under my mother's name because she cosigned the loan. My mother never lived at this address and because of this my title got lost in the mail. They then said they would send me a lien release and I would receive it the following Wednesday. They told me to bring it to the DMV and they would give me the title. I checked the mail the next Wednesday and it was not in the mail. I called and they said it was sent out that day. I finally got the lien release and brought it to the DMV. The DMV told me that they don't print titles and that Chase lied to me. They told me I could expedite the paperwork or it would be 4 weeks to get the title.

It is going to cost me 95 dollars to pay for a lost title that I did not lose and 30 to expedite. Then I found out the Chase did not notarize the lien so the DMV could not expedite it. This is an issue because I have someone wanting to buy the car and I am leaving the county so it needs to be sold. The DMV told me to call Chase and ask them to fax the correct lien. She told me banks do this all the time and has received them from Chase. I called and they refused to fax it to me. The woman at the DMV talked to them and said this is common and didn't understand the issue. Finally, I talked to a very rude supervisor named Monica and she said it would be faxed to the DMV by 6:00. She also accused me of lying and saying that I changed my address after the title was mailed. That is not true. She said the date was July 19 when I changed the address.

That was the day I called to check on my lien and I did not change my address. She wanted to blame me and not apologize for their mistake. When I got home, I checked my email and found 2 emails on the day that I paid my account that I changed my address on June 28th. I had to call the DMV several times and they never faxed the lien. My mom called the supervisor at 4:15 and she did not answer. My mom left a message. We found out later Monica ignored the message and was still at work. I called Chase at 4:30 and talked to Pedro. He checked my account and said that it said it would be faxed at 6:00. I then called at 6:00 to confirm it being faxed. I was told that they could not confirm it, the department was closed and no one there could fax it.

I then talked to another supervisor Marot. He was nice but tried to make me feel bad when this was their mistake and had been lied to all day. I now have to call them at 6:30am to see if they faxed it. If I don't get the lien to the DMV by 8:00, I won't get the title this week and could lose a 10,000 dollar sale on my car. It is evident through these reviews that this is common. Chase clearly does not care about their customers. I never missed a payment and I paid it off early. I deserve better treatment than this. Chase should also pay me the money I have to spend to get my title. I shouldn't have to pay for a title that I didn't lose! The DMV told me this happens all the time with Chase. Please go somewhere else to get your loan!
