I am unable to obtain the documentation from Chase that is required to put a license plate on my vehicle. This loan closed on March 3rd and it is now March 25th. I and my husband have made repeated calls to Chase trying to get this paperwork and receive a different story each time as to why we don't have possession of the paperwork yet.

We’re not able to drive the vehicle we purchased and not able to get another vehicle to drive because we have a legal obligation on the car loan with Chase. We are currently driving a car that has a major exhaust problem and other mechanical issues. This is the car we were replacing with the vehicle that we can't put a plate on because Chase Auto Finance hasn't sent us the documentation we need. They are also expecting the first payment on this loan in about two weeks.

I've been receiving phone calls from this company since about September 2009. I don't know who they are and have never had an account with them nor will I ever. I have confirmed I am not the person with an account they are looking for, and yet I am still receiving phone calls from them telling me I owe them money. I had once confirmed, stupidly, as I saw no other way, by giving them the last 4 numbers of my SSN and promptly was told, "No, you're right, this is not you, the last 4 don't add up." Well, today went differently. I was called by 8 am, like usual, for a loan I have no idea about and instead when I called them back to clarify again and have my name and number removed again, I received TeeAna or whatever her name was. This promptly asked me for my entire social number and name. I absolutely refused and told her there was no way I would give her my information (as she'd already made me mad at this time with her attitude of, "You owe us." I do not. I owe them nothing.

I got angry and told her I would give her my phone number and to look up my account that way as I do not have an account with them, and would not give out my social security number. She got mad right back. So I elevated my voice and asked for a supervisor. At the time I was told I couldn't speak to her like that and that the supervisor was "outside". So I screamed back at her, "I don't care, let me speak to anyone in charge!”

That's when they started hanging up on me. I called back several times, and each time, they hung up on. Each time they refused to give out any work information. Further letting me know something just isn’t right with this company. Upon using Google and pulling up business information, I called who I thought was their business head. I was informed by Chase that, "No, you don't have an account with us. We get these phone calls all day for these people. They are trying to get your SSN so they can rob you!“ Straight from the supervisor Jesse at Chase.

So I will be opening a criminal investigation towards their company today. I urge anyone getting a phone call from these people to not give them your SSN! These people are criminal frauds! Antagonizing via phone and answering machine all too often for someone without an account with them. They have elevated my frail health due to unnecessary harassment. I am suing!

I have bought two cars from this dealership and I have never had such a horrible experience. I bought a new car and we agreed that the payments, through Chase Bank, would start in February. They called me later saying that my credit report had a fraud alert. Chase and the dealership made me submit the paperwork to lift the fraud alert 5 times! It finally got lifted in February.

We called asking when our payments were due, about the payoff to our bank. They told us that the Chase representative dealing with our case had deleted all of our information by mistake. My bank called them, asking for the payoff. They told us and my bank: "We will get it done, call you with the details, and they will contact you regarding the first payment.” These people never contacted us or my bank and they were never in the office when we would call. They finally did today, March 24th, saying that we were overdue on our payment from February.

When I called and complained, this "Sammy" guy was incredibly condescending, pretty much insinuating that I didn’t want to pay my bill. These people totally messed up with the paperwork and then tried to blame it on us. I asked to speak to a manager and this guy told me that it would be of no help and literally said: "Come whenever you want. We'll be here waiting for you to tell you the same thing," in a very challenging tone of voice.

My husband went there and the general manager was as condescending. He made that payment and immediately refinanced with our bank (which is awesome by the way, FECCCU). I will never buy from Lou Bachrodt in Coconut Creek ever again or deal with Chase bank! You could think that as a repeat customer, they would treat you nicely. What happened with customer service? These people were totally arrogant and had absolutely no respect for me or my husband. I have worked in customer service and I would never even dare to talk to a customer like that! I have no idea how people like this are kept in the people business. Because they messed up, we had late payments in both my bank and Chase. We have never been late in any payments and this has damaged a perfect track of payments with my bank.

They have also started calling my friends and family members trying to get in touch with me. Even though I talk to them!

Chase Bank repossessed our vehicle. Chase asked us to pay more than $2,000, then we could get our car back. After we paid the amount, Chase would not give our car back. Chase stated that they have sold our car, even after we paid them, to bring our account current. Is that legal? They took our car, and over $2,000.00.

In February 2009 I have just started a new job recently after being on short term disability for 6 months and losing my job of 11 years. Chase would call my mom’s house 3-4 times a week several times a day even after talking to me and me setting up payment arrangements. I was never the same person that called each time. I gave them my new contact info and pay check schedule and explained that payment may be a day or 2 late sometimes due to pay dates. I was told that it would be ok.

The new job was at a huge pay cut to the one when I had taken out the car loan and I was having trouble getting caught up on things. I explained this to each person I would talk to. I had been sick and missed some work so my payment was a week late. Chase started calling my mom again and harassing her wanting my work number. She told them she could not give them the number because she didn’t know the number and that even if she did know the number, I would not be able to take phone calls at work. Chase got the number some other way.

Several times they called me at work and when my supervisor would tell them I could not come to the phone, they would hang up on him then call back within the minute. This happened again and after him telling them 5 times and them hanging up on him each time. On the 6th time he gave me the phone and told me to take 5 minutes to deal with them. The lady I talked to was very rude and refused my method of payment (money order) saying I had to go pay by Money Gram which was an additional $10. I explained to her I did not have the extra money to pay it that way. She continued to argue with me and get louder.

Since I was working in a public place customers were listening to me trying to tell her I would mail the payment that Friday over and over, but she still kept telling me I could not pay my payment that method. I had been told once that a creditor could not refuse a method of payment or amount with out good cause. I had paid all my payments through money order and never had a problem. I told her I had to get back to work that I would call her when I was off work and could she give me her contact info. She refused to give it to me saying it had to be taken care of right then.

My boss was needing me to get back to work, so finally after being bullied I told her I would try to pay the way she was wanting. But if I could not get the extra money for the money gram, I would be mailing the money order and hung up on her before she could say anything else. Three weeks after getting the payment and a week before the next payment was due two guys in uniform came into the place I work and asked for me. My supervisor told me to go outside to talk to them and see what they wanted. They were there to take my car. I asked them if they could follow me to where I was staying so I could take my belongings out of the car and they agreed. I told my supervisor what was going on and left.

After they took my car I called Chase to find out why they took it since I was not behind and still had another week to make the payment that was due and told them the payment would have been mailed the next day on payday. I was told that in order to get the car back I had to pay them almost half of what was still owed on the car. I asked them how it was legal for them to take the car since I had made the payment and they had it on record that the payment had cleared and another was not yet due. I was told that they could not help me and that the orders had been given and followed for repo. Then the person hung up.

Since the amount Chase wanted was more than I could come up with, I did not get my car back and also lost my job since I had no way back and forth. Plus since I lost my job I also lost my place to stay and was homeless. I had to stay with family and friends and lost the respect of some of my family because of losing the car. I am still trying to get back on my feet and had to move out of state with another relative to find work.

On Nov 27, 2009, we bought a used Cadillac Escalade, 2007 from a local Las Vegas dealership Courtesy Mazda. The finance guy from the dealership suggested Chase to finance the Escalade, the company that they do business with. I wasn't going to go with Chase, because my Credit Union offers me a better rate. Somehow, Chase matched my Credit Union offer which is 5.25. I told the car dealership that my registration will be filed in Alaska. I was then given a temporary permit, awaiting for my plated registration, when everything gets processed through. From the dealership, the title got sent to the lien holder, and from there, I will request to have it sent to Alaska for registration. The time I called Chase, I gave them a heads up that I am requesting a "state change" for an Alaskan registration.

I then gave the address where to send the title in AK, Fairbanks DMV. I was notified in the mail by Carla, who is in charge of car titles from the dealership, that she had sent the title to Chase, but every time I call Chase, they say that there was no title received. I gave them like another week to follow up. After again a negative response from Chase, I called Carla, and this time, she got an answer from Chase that it was mailed to my house address in Anchorage. I gave it another week, but nothing in the mail. I called Chase again. This time, customer rep said that it was mailed to Fairbanks DMV, but was rejected. I asked that if it was rejected, there has to be a reason why, but no one can tell me what.

All the customer reps I talked to said that they were just reading off of whatever information that's on the screen. I was very frustrated, because my temporary registration has been expired, and I cannot mobilize the car. The fact that no one can tell me the reason why the DMV in Fairbanks rejected, was a complete nonsense. I know the manager of the DMV. She said that they never rejected the title request, and if ever they reject any mail, she said that every mail handler will log it in.

This went on and on. I then asked where is the title, if it was rejected? No one can tell me. Just before the holidays, I spoke to another customer service rep that they now have the title, and it will be mailed on January 4, the earliest and best they can do, because of the holidays. I patiently waited and waited. The end of January came, but nothing happened. Meanwhile, even if I don't get the use and satisfaction driving the car, I sent in my monthly payment as my commitment. Another month has come and gone (Feb), I do not see any promising efforts from these so called customer representatives. They can not even assure of what plan of action they are taking to help me. Just before the end of February, I insisted to talk to a supervisor, and I remember talking to Ann. She said that she'll put in for an application for a duplicate title, and it may take up to the 7th of April. I just disregarded all cover up reasoning behind the delay. Instead, I gave them an ultimatum. If it is not received by March 5, you can pick up the car. Sure enough, 5th of March came, they still can not tell me anything. I told them their time is up. I am not paying for a vehicle that is parked in my garage, and not be able to drive it. The fact that Chase failed to execute and deliver their contract and service, I therefore demand them to refund my money paid to Chase, and my down payment. i lost my down payment, and monthly car and insurance payment.

I called Chase as they asked. Okay, I called them 3 times! Each time, I get a different story, not about missing a payment but it gets even more stupid as Chase can get. Two said I need to come up with $520.00. They said I was late and they had used. Now get this people. Feb payment applied to January, January applied to Dec. What the heck is that?!

I went to the bank. The bank people were very helpful and said they could not see I was late anything. Seems I need to come up with about $420.00 (approx) to make account good and not delinquent for any possible repo chance, hmm. I thought repo meant someone was behind at least 3 months or more and not just 1 payment.

I called again. I got another ** as all over the phone agents are and are trained to not help people in any way, they are there just so squeeze you and not give you any chance at all. This moron says, “Well sir, you missed 3 payments,” and told me the dates which kind of coincide with being laid off of work so I asked, “So then I am 3 months behind?” “No sir, you just need to come up with xxx amount for missing 1 month.” What?! Are you confused as I am?

In person, the bank said and called collections and collections said that I just need to come up with the approx $420.00. So the account is even since I had not made the normal payment. And for internet sake, let's say it was $450.00 a month I owed, okay then so if I only (and got letters saying to pay less but anyway) missed $50.00 a month for 3 months, that's only $150.00. How would they come up with 3 time or 4 times more!

Bank (in person) said I owed x amount so I gave them 100 bucks to lessen it and called Chase on the phone and of course that's where you get all messed up since it seems that neither the banks or over the phone records do not match each other on the screens. Why they should show everything that each person sees is right! Duh! They keep calling and I will not respond since they will not help, offer assistance and I keep getting various stories from each over the phone agent. How's that for a totally asinine company that does not offer in any way shape or form to truly/honestly help a person.

Confused? Yeah, I am. And so is the bank I go to so how's that. I missed 3 payments but not missing any. (What?) I am only late on one and even late fees don't match anything. In person and over the phone, computer records at Chase don’t match each other. It goes on and on. I try to do the best I can to tell anyone to not use Chase in any baking manner, go elsewhere and save yourself from them. Let them go broke as Obama should have let them!

I'll figure something out to stave them off. Told them I am out of work, vehicle is used for getting medication, errands for 2 disabled people but they don't even remotely listen, care or offer help which must mean you are talking to Chase bank. Does Chase even look online for all the horrible stories? Doubt it since they would try to get better in any way they can.

If you call them, tell them you are recording the conversation as they can and will do to you when you call them, see how fast they start to cry on the phone about that yet it is legal to do so if you tell them such! From Chase phone services, "Your call may be monitored at any time." Fair play is fair play chase! I am out of work. They say I cannot get any hardship until account is even but if I could do that then there would be no hardship case you morons, just another ploy by them as usual! Go to the bank, get a money manager person to talk to in person and be calm and state your matter and let them do some leg work for you then compare that with over the phone and see the various stories over the phone get's you! It's amazing how they change stories!

I feel for each of you current Chase Bank loan holders. I really do and say my mind of Chase on twitter when I am on twitter. Get the word out on any site you can but be legal in your wordings! Good luck people. You'll need it as I do! I may try to sell it off and get some extra cash to get some other vehicle no matter the shape! Funny thing, I am late or whatever the story of the day may be but when I go to the bank in drive up, they keep telling me I qualify for many Chase rewards and benefits. Yeah, I'm jumping all over that line.

Yes, I'd love to speak to a lawyer from here on this and what to do very soon. I'll look in my email later today, I hope I find someone! Please use Chase help in the subject heading so I read and open it or it will go to spam and never get read by me. I wish I had saved the 2 letters saying a payment that was less than normal payment is due. That’s how I got messed up in the 1st place by their letters!

Obtained new car loan in August 2009 for 2010 Mazda 3. Have now experienced repeated problems with payment "coupons" or billing statements. 1st billing one was received (postmark indicated it was mailed on 9/9/09 or the exact day the payment was due! ) after 1st payment was due, had arranged payment so it wasn't late. Now had have another statement that was made via phone, which they charged additional $10 fee for, which was waived due to problems with issuing a billing by mail. Was earlier told I had signed up for electronic statement-- which I had not.

Now again, I have yet to receive a statement. Today will be 3/4/10 in 45 minutes and payment is due on 3/9/10, which means by time I can check mail again, will have less than 5 days to get it to Chase for timely payment. Tried to access online account tonight without any success. First time used reset password from online account page, entered correct user ID and password (numbers sent by email), got message it was incorrect. Called Chase customer service, entered auto loan account number and # and followed menu.

"Banker" finally came on the phone and requested auto loan number again, walked me through my name, complete address and security questions about what company did I deal with in past (all 3 were bogus, correct) and an address I lived at 12 years ago, correct. Then sent new password number by email, which took several minutes. He hurriedly got off phone. I tried new number in email he sent, which arrived 3-4 minutes after "banker" hung up, got incorrect password again.

Called back again, through same lengthy process again until I was asked security question involving information on my adult daughter. I hung up. Enough is enough. She doesn't have anything whatsoever to do with my car loan, what is this, they investigate and databank all your children's information? This is extremely poor customer service I've experienced. Need to have statement timely issued and mailed so I can make payments timely (up to date except this month where I have yet to see a statement), avoid extra fees for automated payments. 2 emails with incorrect passwords-- no problem posting them here, they don't work! additional fees for other bill paying options when they don't issue coupon or statement, to avoid late payment (and likely even more fees).

I have made several attempts weeks before the charge off date on 1/27/10 to get a pay-off amount from Pamela ***. First I was told that it would be faxed, and then mailed, but neither happen. I made a call and faxed my request, and upon doing this I was told by their recovery person to stop contacting their client and they also left Erika *** a message on her phone telling her that what I was doing was against the law and was just going to make trouble for her. How trying to pay-off an account is making trouble, I don't know.

After all these attempts to get my pay-off from Pamela I finally received it from Mark ***, who told me that it had not charge off yet and after payment was supposed to fax a paid in full letter, which I never received and so I contacted him about this and he said he mailed it. It still has not been received to date. The account was paid in full on 1/29/10. Had Pamela *** done her job, we would have had this account paid off well before the charge off date and I am asking that this be removed. Mark claims that he took care of this, but it is being reported as a paid after charge off on mine and an unpaid charge off on Erika's. This is gravely hurting our credit and I don't feel we should have to pay for their mistakes.

As I stated before all I would like is for it to show paid, closed not as a charge off or remove the account from our credit. Erika also made attempts to contact the corporate office to handle this without filing a complaint and just got the runaround from Josephine ***, who I sent several pieces of information and have copies and phone records for that, who then gave my case to Sonya *** who Erika has a voice mail from and knows little to nothing of the issues I was having and made it seem as if she did not care to know.

She told Erika to call Andy *** who was very rude and made false claims that we were 120 days late and that's why it charged off. Though we were late it was only 90 days as of 1/25/10. I have payment receipts for every month since we bought the car. Erika and myself informed him that I would be filing a complaint, and he stated go ahead as they get complaints all the time. We are trying to buy a house and due to the nature of the account we lost to my points to purchase a home we paid the account off 100%. Now we are forced to rent until this account is fixed or a year or more old.

On Feb. 25 of 2010 Chase auto loan took 556.31 out of my banking account. I do not have an account with chase auto, I instantly called them to find out what was going on. I explained to the rep that my daughter has an account and they probably took it out of the wrong account. That's exactly what happened, I had a one time payment on my daughter's account when she was out of the country with school, that's how they had my account on file which was fine, however when my daughter called to make a car payment, they asked her do you want to use the bank of America account we have on file? She said yes, not knowing they still had my account on file and no one seem to mention it to her either.

Anyway the rep said she would return the money they took out of my account and take it out of the correct account. The money was in fact returned to my account, however 1 week later my daughter's car was repossessed, after a couple of days my daughter noticed the money had not been debited out of her account and she tried to pay online like she usually does, however her account was locked.

She then called a couple of times and got voice mail. Once her car was repossessed we called them and got a very rude response they said, "Well, you should have stayed current." My daughter was in tears, she was current until they failed to take her payment out of the appropriate account. She then called them to see what her options were, they informed her "You have no options. You pay the full amount of what is due on the loan or say goodbye to your car." She had the money in her account and made several attempts to pay them. We also called the company that towed her car and they said, they were under strict instructions not to give us any information regarding the vehicle. They would not even tell us how much the repo fee was going to be. They said, it varies depending on the bank.

Another thing that is odd about this situation is my daughter had been out of town and I was about 3 days late getting her info to make her payment but they had already contacted her dad which is the co signer. Also contacted my mother which is listed as a personal reference. Why didn't they do that this time, so this matter could have been handled immediately?

Chase has very rude customer service reps and are very she also asked them to take her work off of the contact list because she was not able to get personal calls there and yet they continued to call her only there. Well, this has created obviously economic damage. This will be on her credit for years as a repo. She now will have to use money, she had saved intended for the continuing of her education to try and somehow get another car. She needs a car for work, school and to get home for holidays and some weekends.

I called Chase because my payment was 15 days late. My husband and I have never been more than five days late on our payments to them. My husband lost his job on February 5. My salary is a third of what my husband made. I simply asked them to allow half payments from now, February 23 and July when my husband would start a new contract. The first gentleman I spoke with told me that they would not allow half payments, that I would either make the payment today or they would come and get my van. I stated that if I made the payment on the van, there was a chance that I would not be able to make my mortgage payment. He stated at this point that it wasn't his problem if I made my mortgage payment or not. He then asked what color the van was and if I lived in a gated community. I hung up with him and decided to see if I could get someone nicer and more respectful.

The second "gentleman", Marcus I believe, stated that Chase would not allow partial payments, even though my husband and I have had accounts with them for over 10 years and never been 30 days late. He stated that I either made a payment then with him on the phone, which cost me more money, or they would come get the van today. I had no choice but to make the payment.

I have three children and cannot be without a vehicle. How can a bank treat good customers in such a manner? I am so physically sick over this whole situation. We have always paid our bills on time. Why can't these big banks understand that people are going through hard times and need to be give a little assistance? Isn't Chase one of the main banks that received bail out? I may not be able to pay my mortgage next month because of this.

I purchased a 2002 Honda Accord in 2003 financed through Chase Auto Finance. My income was paid to me on the 1st and 15th of each month; my payment date with Chase was the 3rd of the month. When I was a few months into my payments to Chase I realized that a later payment date would be better for me and in order to stop the late fees I contacted Chase to change my payment date. They would not work with me. I paid off my vehicle after 5 years and if I was 5 days late, I received calls from very rude individuals asking when my payment would be received.

Then after my final payment they threatened me with the $600 owed in late fees. I explained to them that I felt it was their fault that I accumulated late fees because I begged them to change my payment date and they refused. Now they hold the title to my car and will not send to me unless I pay the $600 in late fees. Stay away from Chase Auto Finance. They are rude and will not work with their customers. I have purchased 5 new cars and financed with several other finance companies all of whom were more than happy to work with me through difficult times. Not Chase, they do not care about their customers. I will never do business with them again. My title is being held even though I paid off my 5-year car loan.

We purchased a 2005 Ford Mustang w/ Chase as the lender. We were never late with our payments until May 2009, when our hours were cut at work. We got behind by about 3 weeks, causing our payments to be 'late' all the time. We would call and ask if we could put this one payment at the end of the loan, standard practice, but the answer was always no. They called our phones 20 to 25 times a day. Most times, there wasn't even anyone on the line. When they were on the line, we were harassed. My husband was even told once that they would call just to harass us.

When I called this week to get a payoff amount so our bank could take over the loan, they first told me I had to make my late payment before they would give me an amount. We talked to about 4 different people, all of them with the same hateful attitude. Unbelievable. I called again and finally got an amount, was told it would be the same for 10 days. I informed them I would be calling back in the very next day to pay the car off. I was told there be a fee (of course)! When I called today, same rudeness plus the price had gone up by about $2.50, I said that was fine. I wanted it taken out of my account today. We'll see if it is. I have a sinking feeling that somehow the price will go up again. When I wrote my last letter to them, I stated that I might only be just one person and probably wouldn't make any difference to them, but I would tell anyone I could how horrible they are. And I do.

On Feb 13, 2005, I bought a car financed through Chase bank. I paid faithfully 4 days ahead of schedule for almost 4 yrs. I lost my job and cashed in my $401K to pay my bills. I'm still not getting behind on the car. I finally landed a new job and told her on a Monday in Nov 2009 that I would make the payment on Friday. She refused it and told me I had 2 choices; voluntary or involuntary repossession. She issued repossession on the car that same day. I have paid in over $21K on a car financed for $15K and still owed $11K. My interest rate was 21%. I tried to get the car refinanced 2 years ago to lower the rate which Chase in Texas was willing to do.

When they called to get the loan released to TX, Barb told them no. She did not have to release the loan for a lower interest rate. I am a single grandmother raising grandchildren. I also have cancer and for a bank to have no willingness to help out is unheard of. I feel they only wanted to repossess the car because it is more than paid for and they could resell it and still hit me with whatever they say the balance once sold. I know of by here, lots who don't charge that kind of interest, but I was trying to build my credit. What this bank has done to my family is appalling.

He handed me an envelope with my name on it. I had just made a payment. They have me paying such a high interest rate, 23%. It is very difficult to make these high payments. I was told at the time I purchased the car that if I paid my payments on time, they would refinance the car. That never happened. Now I have a mortgage and a job that has given us a temporary salary reduction and furlough days. I was also told that if I could not afford the car, turn it in. I have been paying on it since 2006, and it seems the balance stays the same. Fortunately, one of their representatives that I use to deal with was very nice, but this new person had the nerve to send a random person to my door. The account has been in default ever since his wife separated from him.

All they say is that they want to talk to him and no one else. When he verbally authorizes a third party to work through the situation, they screamed, insulted, and harassed us, saying they will take his only means of transportation. This has been very detrimental to his health and recuperation. He cannot use the vehicle, because he is afraid they will take it away and will not have enough money to catch up. On January 22, 2010, I received a call from Lorenzo of Chase Auto Finance. He began to tell me that my payment was 26 days past due and I need to make a payment today. I told him that I am a little behind. However, I could make the payment on January 28th (next Thursday). He asked me the reason I was behind. I explained I am a realtor and business has not been good, but I am making every effort to keep up with my payments. Lorenzo started making suggestions on how I could get the money. He proceeded to tell me to borrow the money from friends and family, that maybe I should call my husband and tell him he needs to get a cash advance from his employer etc. I told him none of this was possible.

Then, he started to threaten me. He said he guaranteed me I will not have the car pass the weekend, it will be a very busy weekend, and I need to move quickly. He told me I have until 9pm tonight to make the payment. He was very rude. He told me I needed to get off the phone with him and start making calls to see how I can get them the money. The 28th was unacceptable and I am refusing to make payment.

I got really upset. I told him I was not refusing to make payment and I could make the payment on the 28th. This went on for 45 minutes. He belittled me on the phone. He told me that if I did not have the car, what would I do, and how would I get around? And if I don't make the payment today, he assured me I would regret it and again it is going to be a very busy weekend. And when I wake up in the morning and don't see my car outside, then I will know what he is talking about. On and on he went to the point that I did call my husband (who is not on the loan) to prove to him that I was making a call. But my husband could not give me the money today. We could pay it on the 28th. This went on and on, his talking down and belittling me and the threat of my car being gone in the morning.

I recently called Chase after they called my cellphone six times in one day. I let them know that I would make my payment on the 29th of January and another one on the 1st of Feb. Instead of working with me, I got verbally insulted and threatened. But this is a common thing with them. I try not to get upset but it's hard when you got a completely rude and aggressive person telling you how you should get a more "affordable" car payment. Nice. What kind of training do these people get? Are they trained to belittle and threaten people? I unfortunately have to continue with them. There was no need to because it was only 16 days past due. I had setup an auto pay through my bank the month before, and guess what, Chase (the creeps) never took that payment out, so they assumed I was over a month past due. After they took my car, they pulled both payments. By the time I had discovered what was going on, they had resold my car. I am livid and am looking for an attorney, whenever I can afford one. My vehicle 2006 Ford Taurus caught fire on my way to work 112 miles round trip, it was towed home. I couldn't get it fixed due to finances. This company is charging me late fees and finance charges that are more than the monthly payment of $452.32. On September, I spoke to Nicole, the supervisor for John, she proceeded to threaten me with the car being repossessed after I explained to her that the repairs for my car had been over $300 and the car still wasn't working, it kept having a burning smell and loss of power, the computer is lost, and she again told me that it sounded that I couldn't afford the vehicle and I could voluntarily give it back. I asked her how she expected me to get to work. After all, I was working in Rancho Cordova and there’s no public transportation for that route. I told her I had been staying in Sacramento and not returning home.

I explained that I was in a call center environment and needed to get off of my cell phone due to having to leave the floor and that I had a manager that was out for my blood. She again said if I didn't commit to giving her a payment by phone, that they would come and get it. So I finally lost it when a co-worker was gesturing to me that my boss was looking for me. I told her to come get it then and it would have been good for them not to have lied to me and after I borrowed money both months to get it repaired and to make the payments on a vehicle that doesn’t run.

She insisted on wanting to know why I was always late and some sort of episode was every month. I explained that furlough is known nationwide as state workers were given 1 day furlough in January 2009; in February 2 days furlough is imposed; in March, 3 days furlough; no prior notice, just taken. I explained I am still mandated to report to work on Furlough Fridays, drive pay the exorbitant gas prices, and with my car getting only 10 miles to gallon of fuel that I am paid salary whether there is 4 weeks or 5 weeks in the month, I am paid the same, the State was not processing even employees monthly on time, that my overtime check that I expect every month to be paid on the 15th had been paid to me 8 days late.

I authorized the payment, it bounced and several NSF fees at $35 that I would like to wait until I had the check due me in my hand. I asked her why when John told me I would be eligible to extend my payments to at least get back in status and not acquire all the fees they charge daily. She said we have given you extensions and you can't pay your bills after we do that. I was crying and I told her then take the car. Then I returned to my desk crying because my manager was standing there waving at me to get back to work and get off of my cell phone on State time. Well, then she started calling me back until I shut my phone off. Later I listened to her voicemails and returned her call.

She advised me that if I could get my payments current, she could waive all the late fees because I couldn’t understand how I was making the payments every months and owed $1500 over $900 in late and finance fees. Well, she told me if I could just increase my payments to $660.80 for September, October, November, then December’s payment would be extended to the end of the loan and the over $400 fees could be taken off. She had me promise to call her every month after I went into the branch to pay the payment direct something.

I hadn’t been told and was being charged $15 to phone my payment to them. They took the payment out of my joint account with my son and that overdrafted his account causing me to pay all the fees. Chase charged me an arm and leg in fees and finally agreed when I wanted to hear the tape because everything they tell you, the caution is being recorded.

Bought a new car in April of 2006. I was approved for a loan through Chase Bank. I have been paying $412 a month and sometimes I am on time and sometimes I am not. I have never been 2 months behind. If I miss a month I make sure that I pay double the next month. Now I don't make a lot and during the economic times I do my best to make sure my car payment is made on time.

When I am late I have called Chase and told them that I was going to be late this month. They tell me that I have a 12-day grace period and that I will be fine. After my due date I get a phone call from Chase saying that I am late and that I need to make a payment now. There is one employee that works for Chase and he calls me all the time and his name is Tappoon or Typhoon. He sounds African American or from India. He has called me at work and one time my supervisor answered the phone. He asked for me and my supervisor said he is not here. Tappoon asked when is he working again and my supervisor said we are not allowed to give out that information. He then said that it was urgent that he talk to me and he asked my supervisor his name. My supervisor said," I don't have to give you my name, and what is your name?” Tappoon said that it was none of his business and that he would call back.

My supervisor was shocked on how rude Chase was to him on the phone. He discussed to me that he is late on his car payment sometimes too and his bank never does that. Tappoon called again and I picked up. He said this is Nick. I said please do not call me at work anymore, will you please contact me at my parent’s house? He said, "Mr. V. we have been contacting you at your home and left numerous messages and no one calls me back. Now Mr. V. you owe $612 and you need to pay this now or else it’s in my power to have someone take your car." I said," Look, I don't need your threats.

You guys have always gotten my money and I had a death in the family during Christmas and I told you guys that I was going to be late." He said, "Mr. V. this is a problem. You broke your contract. You need to pay the $612 now." I said I already sent a money order. He said he needed all the info now. I said I'm at work and I don't have all that info on me; please leave me alone and you guys will be getting your money. He said, "Mr. V. you may never get a car again because you’re going to mess up your credit. Now it’s in my hands now and I have the power to repo your car.”

After that I was so upset that I hung up. My supervisor was there and heard the whole conversation and he said, "Wow, Chase is a horrible bank." I always make sure they get my payment. Yes, I admit I have been late but for them to be mean to me? I am so upset with them that one time and I have proof I sent in a payment and they called me. They said that I was a liar and that I never sent a payment in. I had a money order. So I went to the bank and asked them. They said that Chase did cash in the money order. I called them back with all the paper work that the bank gave me. A week later I had a letter sent to me from Chase that was an apology letter.

I'm tired of this Typoon or Tapoon guy calling me and threatening to take my car and all. I try to explain to him and he is extremely rude and hostile to me. He was even rude to my supervisor and my parents. I'm about to go see an attorney. I can understand if I was 2 or three months behind on my payment, but when I'm like 16 days past and they call me. I got into trouble at work. I could have lost my job. They were rude to my supervisor.

I reported I have mailed the check. I got asked to verify my info. I did. I immediately got another collection call. I waited and got to a live person. It's the same person I just spoke with. She said she cannot stop the calls.

Today, 1/9/10, I received another collection call. I waited and spoke to Bryan. I explained again, and he asked me again to verify everything again. He started asking me who my auto insurance is. I said, "That's enough. You know my address, my cell, my home, my mother's maiden name." I asked for a supervisor. She said I can complain to customer service.

I was told by Lennea that there is nothing they can do about the collection practices. I can write to Chase Auto Finance Executive Office in Garden City, N.Y. 11530. I asked for a phone number. They said they have no phone or email they can offer me. I called. It is the same customer service. I was told by Amareli and May that I can write to the same address. What would be the point?

So instead, I'm posting it here. My complaint is this: Had I been told by the collection department to call customer service to stop the calls, that would have been helpful. I wasn't told by collections, only until I called customer service. I can't complain about the collection department, because it's a different department. The other complaint is why the collection department needs to know my auto insurance carrier. And had I not stopped, it would have continued with the questions.

I did not even realize right away that the car was missing. Finally, I received a letter (no phone call whatsoever!) that my car was repossessed. However, we had to make a payment to get current (we are 24 days late as of this) and then they can grant an extension. I told them that if I could make the payment, I wouldn't need the extension, but that didn't make sense to the idiot on the phone who did a great job of making me feel like the biggest piece of crap ever born.

He went on to harass, belittle, and quite simply, reem me for missing 1 payment in 2 and a half years. He was too worried about who drives the car, where it's at, who is the insurance carrier, to listen to what was going on. He asked if I was getting unemployment and when I told him it hasn't been decided yet, he then insulted me further by saying that they can't grant an extension until I receive unemployment. I again questioned the fact that they won't grant an extension until I get some income; it makes no sense, because if I had an income ... I wouldn't need an extension.

We will be bailing from Chase Auto asap and I will spend the rest of my life telling everyone to stay away from this company. It would be nice for the government to see these complaints, and to what kind of company their bailout money went to.

I purchased a 2005 Dodge Stratus which was financed through Chase Auto Finance. The car was purchased in February 2008. I had no problems with payments of the car until I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2009. In September 2009, my granddaughter called Chase representative Angel (payment by phone number) who told her that $970 had been paid on the account and that nothing was due until December 23, 2009 which would be $105. My payments are usually $250. I had previously informed Chase that I had cancer and wanted to know if there was some type of insurance that would pay if I became incapacitated. The clerk I spoke with said she did not know. For this reason, I along with my granddaughter called again and I was also told that $970 had been posted to the account. I assumed that a company owned insurance had kicked in. I then asked Angel if some mistake had been made regarding the amount paid into the account and would my account be debited for the money. She said no. My granddaughter was on the phone at the time I was speaking to Angel.

Approximately in October 2009, Rachel, representative, began calling inquiring about my delinquent payment. I explained what had been told to me about a $970 payment. I was then told that there had been a mistake and the money applied to my account was money which should have been applied to a mortgage. The money was removed and applied to the mortgage note. I was told by a representative, Gloria ** (representative) and Marchetta ** (supervisor) that I should have set the money aside to which I replied since cancer co-payments for me are now $200 to $250 each time, not to mention the cost of medicine, etc., lost of my insurance company (which pulled out of Texas coverage) though I did eventually gain coverage with another, there was no set aside money.

Due to their rude manner, etc., I decided to return the car and informed them of this. They continued to harass me by phone and although I told them where the car would be located, they sent a man, Tommy ** (972/849-5956) to my home, whom I refused to open my door for. Since I am located in a senior gated community, I told Tommy the car would be located in Nacogdoches, TX with my granddaughter (who is in college there) at her apartment. When Gloria ** called about the location of the car, I also told her the exact location and told her I was unable to drive my granddaughter back to college therefore the car was with her; that she had cleaned the car out and was waiting for someone to pick it up. I asked them to let me know when the car was picked so that I could contact my insurance company and cancel.

The paper left on my door was titled "Order to Field Visit", date assigned 2009, 12/08; Client: Chase Auto Finance, 811 Rusk, Houston, TX 77002; Telephone 866/347-4960; Fax 713/216-0985; by Gloria **; lien holder, Chase Auto Finance; to Bankers Recovery Service, P. O Box 472013, Garland, TX 75047, Telephone, 972/270-3637, fax 972/270-2529. Borrower: Gwendolyn **, additional information: **; Year 2005; Make Dodge; Model Stratus 4; Vehicle Dealership: Mike Perry Cadillac GMC, Inc.; Tkey Codes: Additional Collateral; Monthly payments: $249.61; Balance on account: $8,225.25; delinquent since 2009-10-23; Amount past due $299.22.

I consider Chase's representative to have been rude, unprofessional bullies and feel that with this country (through taxes paid by the American public) having bailed them and other banks out with billions of dollars, the least their representatives could do is to be civil to customers. I no longer will maintain an account with Chase. I have had enough of this type of treatment. I plan to place my account with a Credit Union in the near future; I would never have been with this bank if they had not bought Washington Mutual.

My husband and I have been with Chase Auto Finance for about a year now. We have had no trouble with the company, except for annoying phone calls if your payment was even 1 day late. Our payment of $292.09 is due on the 26th of each month. We have always paid. We have never paid outside the 10-day grace period until just recently. I called in advance to let them know that my Oct. 26, 2009 payment would be late, but not over 30 days late. I told them our hardship but of course, they asked me if we could not keep the vehicle. I told them we are keeping the vehicle, but we are making adjustments and we are paying. So I made an arrangement that I would pay online before the next billing cycle. I was then contacted on the week of Nov. 17, 2009 stating that I had not contacted anyone about this when in fact I did. He told me that I was accruing interest everyday it was late; that if I postdated a check, I would only be charged a late fee. Of course. Why didn't they tell me that before!

I also told him no one had told me that. So fine, I postdated a check for Nov. 20, 2009 for $321 that included the late fee and the convenience charge. Well later the following weekend, I went grocery shopping. My debit card says insufficient funds. I had to leave all my groceries in line with my 3-year old son! That was very embarrassing to say the least! I went home and checked online my checking account. Guess what? Chase Auto Finance took out $292.09 on Nov. 19, 2009 from my checking account without my permission! Mind you, I had already set up a check for $321 which they also took out! So now my account was already paid for a payment that wasn't even due yet! I called them that night, but they were closed. So then I called them on Saturday morning on November 28, 2009.

They said they could do nothing except for me to fax the research department, which you cannot contact by phone or speak to anyone else. So I asked to speak to his supervisor/manager. He was very rude to me and told me that my auto loan was just as important as any other bill - even more important than feeding my family! I told him that my payment wasn't even due yet when they took that other payment out. I explained myself over and over again. He just repeated himself over and over again like a broken record. So I took the fax number, faxed them my bank statement and information they needed so they could see what happened.

We bought a car at Lithia Hyndai in Fresno and I thought I purchased a 2006 Suzuki Rio. I filled out the paperwork at the dealer and I gave them my downpayment. Two weeks later, the dealer said that the bank (Chase Auto Finance) could not finance the car because not enough equity. Along with the dealer they gave me a 2009 Hyndai Accent Hatchback. At First, I did not want the car because it was smaller than the suzuki. They said that the bank wanted me to get this car with the same downpayment and $350.00 month. I accepted it and filled out the paperwork and drove off the lot. My mistake! I made the first payment but I still did not like the car. In July we moved and we did not have phone service for a few days. They said that they called me a few times but I did not know that. I made the second payment in July. (I have both payment stubs). We moved and sorted our selves out and one afternoon these two people knocked on our door. They said that they wanted our keys to the Hyndai because they were going to repossess the car. They were from Digital Dog from Sacramento. They looked like people from that reality program. (Operation Repo) We got scared! We have watched those guys pepper spray people while they are repoing their cars. David asked the guy why he was taking the car and he said call your finance company. The woman said if you want your car back, be nice to the guy. My husband is interverted and a nice guy. The guy said that he was rude to him. They drove off with our car and I call them legitimate car jacking. You know, people should write their congressman and ask to have this practice stopped. Consumers do have rights! If a enough people complained, chase auto finance would go out of business. We are considering a lawsuit against chase for what happened. I also wrote the BBB and complained.

This is the first time and the last time that I am going to deal with Chase Auto Finance. When I bought my truck two years ago everything was fine, I was then relocated to Florida and husband had no job, so I was a month late with my payment which became almost constant, until I thought in July I was caught up. I sent a payment to them via western union in july and Chase is stating that they do not have this payment in their system. Western Union is doing everything they can to help me but Chase is not, they wont even call Western Union and talk to them, I am the middle person which totally sucks. The other day I received 6 phone calls from Chase and not one message was left. When I called them to see why they called so much they told me that my account was being reviewed because of all my lateness. I told them that I a month behind but if they would apply the payment I made in July I would be current. I was then told that it looks like I cant afford my car and may have it taken away from me. I explained to them that my husband was unemployed for almost a year but just got a job and my job had cut my hours and now I am back to a full work day. I also told the man I spoke with that there were several months where I made two payments and I would be current if they applied the July payment.
I can understand if I was 2 or 3 months behind in my payments and I wasn't making any, but according to the man yesterday my payment is 12 days late. I cannot believe they are calling me for 12 days in fact they have called me for being 5 days late. I told them when I get paid next friday I will send them a payment via western union, they told me that I would need to ask my employer for a cash advance then. My employer does not do that but if they would just apply the July payment I wouldnt be late.

I tried going to Auto Nation to see if they could buy it but obly wanted to give me 1/2 what I owed & I would have to pay the rest off right then & there, which I could not afford. I have one thing to say about Chase Auto Finance.... Stay as far away from this company as you can!!!! I live in Lumberton Texas and back in Sept 2005 we were hit by Hurricane Rita. Chase Auto Finance contacted me during this time and "out of the goodness of their heart" asked me if I would like to defer Octobers payment since we were in a disaster area. Sounded good to me. I could certainly use the help. Now I am 1 payment from having the truck paid off and I see where they have added an additional 385.00 to the payoff. I called and was told it was interest that had accrued on the deferred payment during the storm. I say "you have got to be kidding me!! You approach me during a time of disaster and make this offer and extend your sympathy only to leave out the fact that Oh yeah we're gona charge you daily interest on the amount of the payment. Chase Home Finance made the same sympathetic phone call and turned right around and reported me the credit agency for being 30 days deliquent. These are the most hateful arrogant people I have ever dealt with. I will reluctantly pay the payoff on my truck and wait patiently for the title that will probably be "lost" and I am currently looking to finance my house with a more customer friendly company.

I am trying to avoid problems not creat them.Well after much arguing with the people in collections about when I would be back to work they granted me a two month extension.
I am an Owner/Operator in the trucking buisness.Well 2 months came and went and the harassing calls started.I explained my medical status to them and how 2 months was not enough time, the doctor has not released me to work. They would hear none of this. They only demanded payment and the harrasing calls started to increase from every day to over a dozen a day and nite. Last saterday I got one of those calls starting out with Allison after about 30 minutes and refusing to answer the questions to their likeing (I only varified my info as everything is still the same asit has been for fifteen years and the life of this loan. i.e. adresss phone location of car)Alicia got on the line stating she was a manager and after another 30 to 40 minutes agreed that if I make one full payment she would give me another extension giving me a chance get caught up.When Thursday came and I got paid I called back to let her know and to get in writing our deal her attitude changed.Along with the Acceleration Notice she she denied makeing any deal. I got her to repeat that and when I told her she was being taped she abruptly ended the call. Well Chase would not acept payment on-line so my wife went to the local branch and paid the note.Which was promptly posted. The repo orders are out on our car and they refuse to stop this. I purchased a new 2007 Chevrolet in August 2007. I had just gotten a new job and needed a good vehicle for my 100 mile round trip commute. That Christmas is when gas prices began climbing up to the 4.00 per gallon mark in Missouri. I fell behind on my payments because I was spending that much in gas each month just to get to work. I received an extension in October 2008 and since then, also borrowed from my 401(k)and my parents and even took out payday loans (which in themselves is a bad idea).
As the economy worsened, not only was I spending so much in gas, but our hours at work were cut and it is just now, November, 2009, starting to get a little better. I have explained this numerous times to every representative I have spoken with. Chase now calls me 8-10 times per day, on my home, cell, and work numbers. On October 16, 2009, Eric called me at work (in a call center, where we are not allowed to get calls normally)and said that if I didn't come up with at least 700.00 by the following day at noon, that they were going to reposess my car. I told him several times again that I am single, have borrowed money from every other source I have and that I would be able to make my next payment the following Friday, October 23, which was my next scheduled payday. That wasn't good enough. He said I wouldn't have my car by then. I made other arrangements for transportation to work so I wouldn't lose my job. The following Wednesday, Chad called me at home and I explained to him the previous conversation. He said that person never should have told me that because they would "do whatever to help keep my car" but then proceeded to ask the same questions as everyone else: color, make model, where it is located, insurance, who/what/why/where/when how much I could borrow. After 20 minutes of this, I finally just told him to come get it. I was tired of dealing with them and all the stress of the whole situation. After another 20 minutes of him trying to talk me out of that, he finally agreed to fax me a form for voluntary surrender. I faxed that form back to them on October 22. As of November 19, they are still calling harrassing me to get their money. No mention of the surrender letter.

I financed a new car with Chase in March '09. In September '09 I added another new car to Chase, so I had two auto finance accounts. To make a very, very long story short, Chase Bank did something that was very unprofessional that hurt my credit so I closed my checking account and decided to move my auto accounts to other banks. My other bank sent Chase Auto Finance a check for Car A, and Chase paid off Car B. Both banks have said that it's my problem and I have now spent over two months trying to get Chase to reopen the account for the car that wasn't paid off and pay off the correct car. I am now paying three car payments for two cars. Car A at Chase is being paid and Car B is being paid at both banks. So you say this isn't possible. They have to fix this. Well, all I can tell you is that you have not seen a level of incompetence like that at Chase Auto Finance until you see it with your own eyes. I have been told that it would be fixed in 7 business days, THREE TIMES NOW! It's still not fixed and I doubt it will be until I finally just start suing both banks. I've had multiple days ruined arguing with these people all day on the phones. They've sent me letters halfway through the 7 day periods that they say they will fix the account asking for things that they've already asked for and received. It's the most unbelievably simple mess to fix if you are competent.

Yes I have fallen short 2 months on my car payment, because these economic times are extremely tough, (AND I work for a non-for-profit organization helping severly mentally disturbed children) but Chase Auto Finance somehow tracked down a co-worker of mine, got their cell phone number, and called them to harass me! I would NEVER give out a co-workers phone number for any kind of reference. Isn't this WAY passed harassment? How is it legally possible to allow financial institutions to act as BOUNTY HUNTERS?

My car payment is late, and I finally was able to arrange a payment to get it off of the repo list. The Customer Service Rep at Chase told me on Friday he could accept accept a check or payment at a Chase branch. By Monday, when I had the payment via check (as I am unable to make it to a branch,) the rep never called me back. I proceeded to call him 4 times in trying to make the payment, and he wouldn't then accept the payment via check. The rep also went through unethical means of calling friends and family members I never disclosed, "lying and telling them I put them down as a reference, when I never did. 2. He also left the wrong name asking them to have me return the call (when I know it is his direct desk,) then he also lied all day when I was trying to post a payment to avoid my car being repossed, and he wouldn't call me back, stating his manager is in a meeting (all day since 9:00 am...it is now 6:00pm.) The whole stall tactic, lying, unethicallness, harrassment, and now not taking my payment to post is beyond unprofessional and the worst company I have ever dealt with! Yes, people are a little late in payments, but when they are trying to post a payment, and the games and lies ensue...someone higher up at Chase needs to know about what their customer service people are doing, and fire them!

In July I had contacted chase to see if I could have that payment which was due at the end of the month be put on the end of the loan, due to the fact that I had a family emergency. They told me that it would be granted, etc. I had never missed a payment nor was I ever late. I skipped that payment and continued with the payments monthly as I had always done. I started receiving harrassing phone calls and twice I attempted to talk to who was calling and explain to them as to what I understood. They kept telling me that my payment is constantly late due to the fact that I did not make that July payment. Finally I had some very rude person on the phone and explained that I have never missed any payment and that all of my payments have been made with the exception of that one that they agreed to. Bottom line is I didn't want my credit ruined so I said that the best I could do is add an extra hundred dollars to the payment each month for the four months to make up for the payment. I provided the caller with all of the information and she stated that she would date the check for the 29th of October as that is when my pay hit the bank. Therefore that would keep my account current, and I would not be reported to credit. Well it is now Nov 2 and it is not showing up on my checking statement as of yet. If I had mailed it like I wanted to it would have been done and in a timely manner.. I sure hope that they do not file it as being late since they were given the authorization 5 days before .

    I bought a KIA Spectra May, 27th 2009.
First Payment June 26th, for $312.00 posted June 29th. I received a temporary two week layoff notice starting on June 26 until July 12. I was not concerned as I had been told by my employer that it was arranged. I called to set up my account the week following the first weeks as instructed. July 26th payment was due, and I was still waiting for the un-employment, Carlos called and I tried to explain to him of the unemployment problem, but he gave me no alturnitive but to go to a "cash advanced" store. of which I was able to make that payment on the Aug 14th including the 15 dollar late fee. Carlos started calling my employment and left messages with them, and the emergency contact list which was provided at the dealership for Emergencys and references. September 9th I was mailed a letter stating I had been turn into a collection company, even though I was in contact with Chase and trying to keep the communications open and honest, and was only 2 weeks late. (a collection company) September 12th I finally found out I was not going to receive the unemployment from the 2 week layoff, so I contacted Chase and asked about making "Good Faith" payments for remedy, or to have a defered payment granted, that I have been employed for 10 years which should prove my values and consumers principle., but was turned down flat. I sent a payment Sept 22, waited for the next statement, but only received harrassing phone calls, even though the Certified Green Card showed Chase had accepted it on Sept 26. Nothing more was notified. I simply assumed the payment was being processed and was not reflected by the other departments, or a cross in information. Then my phone matrix/network went on the fritz, so Chase continued to call my employment and reference list. Even after my parents asked them to discontinue calling them about my personal business with them, they continued until they told them it must have been disconnected, to get them to stop bugging them. It was a mechanical problem, not disconnected....anyway October 8th at 3:30 am (est) An old pickup truck pulled up and had it hoisted to the truck, Its exaust was loud which woke me, and I went to the front door to get a better look to see what the ***** was happening. A male dressed in black, approached my porch, and I was afraid, and tried to lock the screen door for protection. He stated he was taking my car. I asked in shock, why, I had made the payment and had a receipt to prove it, certified mail, and he refused to give any information about his validity or jurisdiction to take my personal properity. He told me to get my things from my car if I wanted them. I followed him to my car and asked how he had gotten into it without the VIN # accessable, and he tried to tell me it was on the door panel, but I had removed it, as I am a secured and sovereign person with all the proper paperwork filed, complete with surety bondedl. The male continued to tell me he did not have to present any paperwork or give any information that it is a "Civil" matter. I called the police for assistance, as he was nothing more than a burgler at this point. The cops refused to get involved, as they said it was a civil matter not a criminal. I insisted it was a criminal matter as no paperwork had been processed through courts, and I could prove this is a mix-up. But the cops were unwilling to file paperwork of the complaint. A week later I received a call from the theif I could pick up my personal things, but he was charging me $40. cash only, and with the stipulation I was to give him the keys, of which they did not have. In order for them to have keys made, I was told it would have to be a court order for clearance, which supports my car was car jacked. I called and tried to talk to someone at Chase about the payment that was made, at even though I have proof of the payment including a notorized mailing of the certifed mail receipt, I was told I needed to make full payment for the car before it was auctioned off. I told them, I have never received any paperwork stating anything about these proceedings, and they refused to budge. Oct. 14, I received a new statement in the USPS mail, (which is a CONTRACT by law.) So I borrowed the money to bring the account current (again) to get my car back, and I would deal with the misplaced payment later. When I called to report the payments made directly at the Chase Branch Bank, I was informed the payments would not return me my car, but would be posted towards the payoff. Again I told him I have received No paperwork about this suppossed repossession. The rep. said they mailed it out on the 14th, I should get it soon. I told them that was well after the fact and this is not right, My attorney would be contacting them. THe rep. was flippant and told me to have him contact their legal department. at a certian number. I did not receive the so called letter until the 21st, of October, 3 weeks after they took my car.

Payment was due 10/6/09, payment was submitted 10/26/09, 20 days after. I cannot understand why any company would harrass and threaten a customer, especially when the payment is only 20 days past. I financed a car through Chase Bank in 2008 for my daughter, she was unable to pay and it fell to me since I was the one who took out the loan. My wife was laid off of her job and money became tight so I had to self reposses the car. In 2006 my 82 elderly mother put me on her personal bank account because she was undergoing surgery, chemo and radiation treatment. She put me there only for one reason only and that was to withdraw money in case she needed it. She had originally opened her account years ago with my deceased father when it was Bank One then Bank One became Chase.
Chase sold the car at auction but leaving me to owe $6500. They called me for payment and I told them there was no way to pay that amount but if they would arrange small monthly payments until such time as I could get the money I would gladly pay. They made me an offer at a lower amount but again I could not pay that all at one time. A month later they found I was on my mother's account and took all of her personal savings out of her account. I called the Manager a Matthew DeFrance of the Chase National Auto Recovery Group and told him that was my mothers account he took money from and that I was only a representative to her account and not an active participant in any daily activities. He said he knew but didn't care and was keeping the money even after I begged him saying this was my mothers money she used to pay for her medication and doctor bills her insurance did not cover, still no luck. I found out what Right of Set-Off means and if one has an account at a bank that they are indebted to then the bank can setoff the funds in the account to pay the debt. But on a joint account like this the bank does not have the right of setoff if the debt is created under a consumer credit card plan OR "your (me) right to withdraw funds from the Account arises only in a representative capacity." It can be shown that I did not open the account and that my mother and father opened the account years ago. I can show where I did not access the account at any time by making withdrawals or deposits or writing checks or any activity whatsoever but was only my mother representative in case she was unable to gain access on her own..in other words in a coma, hooked up to machines or whatever, but my involvement was only as a representative. I can show where I was added to the account years after it was opened for only one purpose. In Chase Bank's Account Rules and Regulations page 17 under SET-OFF, specifically states setoff does not apply in a joint account if one of the joint account owner's only right is to withdraw funds in a representative capacity.

One day my daughter (who is age 17) answered they phone while I was at work and they accused her of "lying" that mom wasn't home, saying "I hear her in the background little girl, you're lying, she's just scared to talk to us". I was so angry, I was really at work and I certainly am not afraid of anyone. I explained we were getting things straight, I needed to get back to work after a childbirth which I did as soon as I was released. These individuals were replaced every few days by new callers, all aggressive, all rude. When I finally called with a payment to get up to date, I was again dealt with my a rude customer service agent. I was trying to pay my bill while I was being chewed out for being overdue. I was asking for the calls to stop while he was saying I deserved it and when I asked for the calls to stop he said, "Hold on, you will not speak to me that way!" What way? Asking for calls to stop? I hung up on him and paid through my bill pay. It's that man's fault for not getting the payment today. I know there are laws against this behavior. I was behind on several bills and no other company treated me this way, even my other auto loan provider was polite and gracious. Today, October 9, 2009, I tried to call Chase to see if I could get a fax number so that I could fax a proposal that would resolve my auto loan problems. No matter who I talked to, they wanted to know why my payment was 13 days past due. I said, I just need a fax number. They said they would not give me a fax number unless I told them when I would make a payment or told them why my payment was late. I told them I can't afford the payment at the moment and that I wanted to fax a proposal to them. Again, they got argumentative with me, told me that I should start voluntary repossesion proceedings, and wanted to know - again - why my payment was late. I said, why does that matter? I just need a fax number, it's public record, why are you being so difficult? Still no fax number. Chase has been absolutely horrendous to deal with. I am so stressed out with them, sick of their harassing phone calls, even when I have asked them to stop the calls, they continue. I have reported them to the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office but an sure they won't do anything. In the past I have tried to make my payment online, and lo and behold! They charge a $10 fee for the "convenience" of paying your accoung online! Everyone I have talked to at Chase has been rude, insulting, everything - short of calling me a deadbeat. They REFUSE to work with their customers, even during economically difficult times. They have me near tears on a regular basis. How can they get away with treating their "customers" so poorly? I can't take it any more, but I am afraid they will repossess my car (an action they seem overly willing to undertake). It is a constant theme with them, as soon as you say you are having financialy difficulty, the first thing they say is, "Would you like us to send you the voluntary repossession paperwork?" to which I respond, no, I need my car for work! What can I do?

I called them and explained that was the first correspondence I had ever had with them and how was I supposed to know the loan went through them, where to send the payment, etc? They had no answer and told me they only send out quarterly statements, no payment books or anything of the sort. They claimed they called my work number and I hung up on them, which I doubt, since 9 people work here and we all have the same number. But with these clowns it's entirely possible somebody would think it's a telemarketer and hang up. We purchased a pre-owned vehicle in May of 2009 and selected Chase for auto finance as they offered the lowest rate. I filled out the auto debit paperwork at the time of purchase and as the next payment was not due until July ,Chase assured me we had plenty of time to set up the auto debit. We were out of the country in July and we returned home to various rude and harassing voicemails and phone calls that our payment was overdue. I informed them we had auto debit on our account and was told that they had no such account information, so I again went through the process, this time online, to set up our account and made the payment and was assured that the auto debit would be set up and the late fees removed. The next month we were again harassed by calls and letters for payment, so I spent two hours going through the process to set up auto debit as the Chase rep informed me I had to confirm payments made to my bank account even though online there was no information about this and I did not receive any emails or letters. I processed the payment and set up the account with the rep on the phone the whole time. This rep was at least apologetic and assured me we were good to go moving forward and to call the following week to confirm the late fees were removed. We again were out of the country traveling and upon returning, once again came home to more harassing calls saying we do not have auto debit and payment is past due again even thought we just paid them two weeks ago and late fees have still not been removed. I asked for a supervisor and was on hold for 45 minutes. I asked for a supervisor again the next time they called and was hung up on. The third time I was told none was available. The representative that called the next day was yelling at my husband asking where the car was as saying they are going to re-possess it. I have ever been so threatened and mistreated by a service organization that we are patronizing and trying to guarantee on time funds since May with automatic debit payments. It seems they just want to generate late fees and enjoy harassing consumers. I am cancelling my credit card with them which was a leftover from Washington Mutual, a company that understood the meaning of customer service, and our loan account with them and plan to seek damages. He asked why I was late I informed him of additional expenses that occured.
He verified my address which was listed as my old one (4430 N 76th street #3) I verified my current address and asked him why haven't the account been updated since I placed this information on my August payment. He said this payment will avoid any actions such as reposessions ad he will "call the dogs off". I asked him if my vehicle had been reposessed how much would that be he stated he didn't want to discuss that because he wanted to help me so we wouldn't get to that point. And if my vehicle would get reposessed, he will make sure the vehicle is returned. He stated that he can not give me the extention until the payment has posted and for me to call him back on Friday about noon with the transaction number. I left work came outside and noticed my vehicle was gone. Since I parked on the street, downtown Milwaukee, I assumed it was towed due to parking tickets that I had on the vehicle. Tuesday, September 22nd, 8:10am I went to the Tow Lot and was informed the vehicle had been reposessed by Chase Bank. I called Gilbert about 8:30am told him my vehicle had been repossessed, he said he haven't heard anything from the repo company and will call me back once they contact him and have my vehicle dropped back off. I called him at 9:00am to ask him if it's possible for me to pick my vehicle up instead of them dropping it off he said that wouldn't be a problem once he talk to the repo company which opens at 9am and he talks to his supervisor. Dora (supervisor) called me at 9:21 am from (414) 977-8457, and gave me the number for which I can contact regarding my vehicle. She went on to say I can call them to retrieve my belongings. I corrected her and said to pick up the truck right? She stated I can pick up the truck once I pay the $3,333.27 that I owe to them. I asked her what happened to the agreement made with Gilbert, she said she cancelled the agreement and the vehicle was picked up at 2:30pm before I called Gilbert. I informed her that I was not notified of a reposession notification via mail ot when I talked to Gilbert. She blamed me for being late and for that I have to pay regardless of who I talk to and there's nothing else she has to say. I called back and spoke to Lee, manager at (414) 977-8480 I try to explain to him that I was not notified of a reposession notification and Gilbert didn't inform me my vehicle was in route to being reposessed. He said he didn't have to give me a notification for being reposessed and that it was a poor judgment on my behalf for placing a no call block against Chase in 2008 for harassment of phone calls to my job. So he retailiated against me because of this request last year because of the unwanted phone calls from Chase to my job every hour for being 5 days past due along with the unwanted threats to me. I asked him why would a rep take payment arraingement if there was a notification for reposession, he said again he doesn't have to infrom me of anything, the vehicle has been reposessed and the funds have to be made before I can retrieve it back.

She then told me that the call was related to a case that she was investigating that involved him in bank fraud. I then tried to cfall the number back but the number wasnt able to to reached, i then got a phone call on my cell phone from a blocked number and she identified herself then she hung up. I called my husband and he told me that she was from Chase Auto Finance and he spoke to her. I then in rage called her back 2 twice and she didnt not answer the phone, I called her again cursing and she then answerd the phone I told her that she will not call my house again stating that my husband was involved in bank fraud. She then inturn called my husband again after already speaking with him stated that she was going to issue a repossession on our truck and that she was going to tell the company not to take any payment arrangements. I then tried to get the information so I could issue a letter of cease and desist but no one is answering the phone or returning the calls.

This is the bankruptcy division. I have never been late with a payment, but my payment was due on 8/22/09 and my check has not cleared the bank yet. I mailed the check on 8/13/09 and usually Chase Auto cashes it by now. I am very diligent about paying my bills on time, but when I call this number, they tell me their office is closed at this time. I called on a Tuesday, 8/25/09 at 1:15 pm. Why would they be closed? If I put a stop payment on this check, it will cost me $30, which I cannot afford. I wanted to talk to a banker to tell them this information, but they are closed. How does this help me?

Beware of Chase Auto Finance! Never use this company! "Warning." I financed a vehicle through Chase in 2005. I was never late with a payment until I was laid off in March of 2009. As soon as I was laid off, I contacted Chase to inform them I would be about 21 days late with my April payment. They said that was not acceptable and started asking "where the car was located, color, when they could pick it up?" Even more than what they were asking, it was the rudeness of the person/people I was speaking with. I have "never" dealt with anyone in business like these people! I was not trying to get an extension, miss a payment or even trying to avoid late fees. I just wanted them to know why I was late. What a mistake I made calling them. I made sure my car was always in the garage to avoid them taking it, and as soon as I returned to work, I obtained a loan through my credit union and paid them off! Do not even consider using this company!

I think my story takes the cake! My husband didn't work full time last year due to the fact that he was caring for his dying mother. I developed rheumatoid arthritis and had to retire. After two missed payments, Chase, who had refused to refinance us, threatened to repossess the car. Since my husband's mother had died, we were returning to NYC, so he could resume work. In NYC, a car is a liability. I called Chase, and told them I wanted to surrender the car. They said, fine, and took the car.

I was in the emergency room with my daughter. She is 12 and was chasing around a friend, and had fallen down a flight of stairs. She had a scalp wound that bled a lot. I was distracted when Mike from Chase called. He was very aggressive. He was very rude. He said we owed over nine grand on the car. I told him that I did not surrender the car in order to keep making payments. The nine grand reflected mostly interest. I said that I would consult with my attorney and call him next week. He started asking 20 questions about who my attorney was, etc. The doctor walked in to treat my daughter and I hung up the phone.

I had arranged for a loan from my pension fund. The money was to cover my daughter's tuition, and pay back all the friends who had loaned us money over the summer. We were really in bad financial shape (my hubby is an NYC teacher, and he did not accrue any summer pay this year, so we were relying on the kindness of friends). The money was also going to cover household expenses until hubby gets paid on September 15. The loan came in by direct deposit on Friday. Our bank account is with Chase. They seized the money. No judgement, no written notice, no further phone calls. They just debited the money from the account.

I called to try to get some of the money back and they wouldn't budge. They were rude, abusive, obstreperous. Horrible. Be careful. If these folks say you owe them money, get your money out of any banks they can get into. They will take your money and not even tell you. And then they will abuse you besides. My attorney told me to get a copy of the contract which specifies that they can seize the money. This Greg, the boss, was rude and awful and wouldn't send the contract.

On August 18th, I wrote of my experience with Mr. ** and the threats about my car being repossessed. I have been paying for that car for two years, and on January 1, 2009, I was informed by an employee, Roger **, that I met the criteria to be offered a break in making the payments for two months! Does that sound like someone trying to avoid payments? Now, eight months later, I had a problem with July's payment. I am 62 years old and I get money once a month in my account. I live alone, have no family closer than 1500 miles away, have a steel heel on my right foot due to injury three years ago, and because of that, I have difficulty walking. I need my car.

I told him on the 18th I could make both July and August payments on the 29th, but that was not good enough. He left so many threatening messages that I left him a message stating that I told him what I could do, and there was nothing else I could do. I got no calls until today, and when I asked ** if he'd gotten my message that I had tried everything I could try to get money, but I couldn't, so I would make both payments on the day I stated. He told me that with my attitude that he wanted both payments today or he wanted the car back. My attitude?! This man was yelling on the phone. I told him I'd been paying for the car for two years, and that should tell him that I make my payments. I told him that July's payment was the first and only time my word was broken. I am trying to pay for my car. I need my car. He was still screaming when I hung up. He had the nerve to ask for September's payment, which is due on Sept. 5th.

Why am I being treated like this? I'm not driving a Lexus. It's a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo, the $15,000 model, and it's been paid for half the way, so I do not feel that I deserve the threats, the screaming, the personality bashing. What kind of people are these people? They are not professionals and as soon as I can, I will either sell that car or refinance somewhere else! I even explained that due to my injury, I am involved in a $500,000 lawsuit that is getting ready to settle. My plan was to pay the car off in full (to save the interest charges) and keep going. Now I will do whatever I have to get rid of Chase Auto Finance and David **.

They told me that was not acceptable. I had to make both payments (June and July) or not at all. They then threatened me in a roundabout manner, i.e. where is the vehicle parked, what color is it, what time is it at the residence, what time is it at my work.

I have not been late in three years until these past two months. I realize as the customer service representative stated that it is my fault I am in this situation, but really? We have been on one income for nearly eight months and there are not any options, not to even catch up in seven days. I am so upset that they can treat consumer this way. I guess a default is a default. I will be refinancing with my local bank this next week. I will never use this company again, and you can believe this is not the only place I will be complaining.

Consequences: there has not been any yet, unless they come and take the vehicle. But I am going through my bank and making a direct payment to them today for one month and then next week will do make the second payment through my bank. Hopefully, this will prevent them from actually being able to take our vehicle. But as I stated above, a default is a default and they probably have the right to be however they want.

I couldn't go back to doing the kind of work that I had been doing. So, I started looking for new work. From October '06 to April '07, all of my payments were made. I was behind in May and June and they wanted my vehicle back. I kept telling them that I would be able to catch up with the payments. I was waiting on a settlement check from one of the injuries. Well, impatiently - they couldn't wait and wanted their vehicle back. My mom spoke to the lady because my parents at this point wanted to help out. They gave me a week when my dad got paid. Well, he had didn't get his check by their deadline and they wanted the car back. He offered to even throw in an additional month and they refused. I drove the car to a gas station in Columbia, SC (where they asked me to) and they picked up the car. And right afterwards, just within days, I got my settlement check.

Unfortunately, they said in order to get it back they wanted payment in full. Who has $10,000 to pay off a truck? Well, the following week the SUV was sold. They then harassed me to pay off the remainder balance. They did try to cut a deal with me. They offered me a pay off of $1500. I didn't have that kind of money. I was in school and had no car. What were they thinking? Then a year later they called, harassing me for $4,000, and said the deal was off. It's sad how some organizations treat people even when things go wrong in their lives. It wasn't like I never called and talked with them. I kept them updated, but they felt like they knew what was best. It's sad that they are already robbing us with high interest rates and along with that rude customer service. No one knows what people are going through and to have someone treat you like that is terrible. I am glad that part of my life is over. Mistake learned.

I called several times to keep them informed of what was happening and was told no problem. I got up on Friday morning to go pay two months payment and find the truck was gone. No letter saying they were going to take it. Then when I found out where they towed it to, I was told I had to pay in full to get it back. I could not just bring account up to date and cover towing and holding cost. They then sold it for half of the value and expect me to pay the rest.

I did let them know that I'm without a vehicle. I can't find work outside of walking distance, and no job means I can't send them any money. To be honest, they did not want my money when I had it, why should they get it now? I now owe Chase $6000+ and had no transportation to find work outside of my home town. These contacts with Chase company representatives only caused me to become irritated due to their lack of concern.

While tempting this fate, I had the unfortunate experience of talking with many of Chase's belligerent representatives; one in particular who profoundly refused to let me speak to the manager in charge and who, in a smirking tone stated “You have had your vehicle for less than a year and you want to refinance your vehicle? This is not a manager’s problem.”

After this last conversation, it was evident that Chase Auto Finance was not willing to work with me and it was then that I decided to voluntarily return my vehicle to the company where I bought the vehicle. Then subsequently, we have been one month behind. I made numerous attempts to make arrangements with such an old loan to not incur so many fees, but the reps are rude, condescending, mean-spirited and apparently unable to read the specifics on an account to see the payment history even during a hardship, let alone be given the authorization to grant pay date extensions.

August, 11 2009, I owed the final $748.38 and I called them to inform that the final payment (completed loan) would be made in full as of Sept 10. Edna again, very rude, argumentative, uncompassionate, when I asked her for a supervisor, she refused 4 times before connecting me to a voicemail. I left a detailed VM for the supervisor. 3 minutes later, a new rep called my cell phone and I asked her to read me the notes from the previous phone call. She read me a botched version and proceeded to harass and belittle me as I was merely telling her that I just went through this and was waiting for Omar to return my call.

My credit will be slightly damaged, but at least I will be done with Chase. This company is ruthless even with the most integrity-oriented payment history. Unbelievable and very sad. Thank goodness we will be able to finally bring this loan to a close as some people can't these days.

I immediately called 1-800-336-6675 and reached a woman who finally said her name was Audine. She was rude, nasty, threatening and yelling at me during the whole conversation. I hardly was able to explain my situation. She even asked me where I lived so she could repossess my car!

I have been paying car payments on time like clockwork, not late. I have the highest credit for loans you can have. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she refused. I’m not sure how things are supposed to work in the type of situation I'm in, but we were involved in an auto accident on April 26, 2009 and the car was badly damaged. Chase Auto Finance is the lien-holder on the vehicle. The vehicle was towed and was held at a local tow yard. I received a notice from Chase about 3 weeks later saying they had repossessed the vehicle, and it will included costs and fees due if I wanted to get the vehicle back. Keep in mind that it was involved in an accident. I had just made the April payment on the 20th and the next was due on May 20th. I come to find out they repossessed the vehicle after the May payment wasn't made by May 21st. They knew the vehicle was involved in an accident and I let them know that the other party who was at fault would have their insurance take care of things.

However, when the claims adjuster from the other person's insurance company wanted to see the vehicle to assess the damages, they were unable to gain entry at the tow yard. I called the tow yard and explained the situation and they urged me to call Chase for clearance to see the vehicle. I then called Chase and they said they cleared the vehicle, yet still the tow yard wasn't doing a thing. Chase said they could ask the tow yard to take pictures of the vehicle for a fee. Luckily, I had taken pictures of the damages at the scene of the accident and forwarded those to the insurance company. The vehicle has been deemed a total loss and they have been waiting on proper documentation from Chase to assess the value and cut a check. Chase has had them waiting since June and it is now August!

When I called, it seems nobody knows what's going on at Chase. They're still sending me payment due notices and they have the car and know it's totaled. The claims adjuster has said that they have never had this much hassle when trying to finalize a total loss. They're getting a lot of runaround and Chase is pretty unprofessional. This situation has been a nightmare. They told me before that regardless of an accident I should be making the payments and that's all they cared about - they didn't seem to care if anyone was injured or not. I, my wife and my 5-year-old and 15-year-old kids were in the vehicle when the accident occurred and everyone was injured - nothing major, but there were minor injuries. If I were to do this all over again, I wouldn't have Chase Auto Finance provide the loan on a vehicle for me.

I was not, but every time you talk to them their figures change. To make a long story short, I called to see what I needed to do to get my truck. They said I needed to pay $1,420.00 at a Chase bank. That was on 6/24/09. I called the capital recovery that had the truck immediately. They told me don't lag in paying because they send them to auction, right away.

When I called Chase to tell them I would be at the bank on the 26th of June to pay the amount they said, and asked about them selling it, they told me don't worry, it would not go to auction until 7/5/09. I went to bank and paid the $1,420.00. I called the recovery company and they told me to call Chase that the payment was made. I could not get through to them, till 12:30pm, they were all in a meeting.

When I got them, they said I had to call my insurance and fax all that over. I did. Once again not good enough, they needed to be put on policy even though they were named as lien holder. I did once again. Then, I called back and I had to fax them the policy. Then, I called again. Now 2:00pm they said I needed an additional $220.00. Finally, I went and met the tow company, gave him the additional money, and he told me I was lucky. It was going to auction, it was cleaned out.

Every time I make a payment, the payoff goes up instead of down. When this was all over, they said my next payment was due 9/24/09. Now I called and my payment is past due 7 days. I called again, they tell me a ** story that the money was applied as they said I requested! I requested nothing! And they can't show me where that money was applied! Meanwhile, all of a sudden, I am behind once again, and no one can give me a straight answer. They also said my truck was registered in Ohio. I’ve never been in Ohio in my life. They also are now claiming I only made a payment of $808.00. Consequences: almost lost my job!

Wishing to rebuild my previously perfect credit record, I started monitoring my credit report and found that Chase had not only listed my terminated lease as a repossession, but they have 2 of the 3 reporting agencies stating that I owe over $9,000 balance. I didn't realize that the error of balance due was hurting my credit and spent two more years improving my report in all other ways.

Now that six years have passed and I've spent the past two years trying to clear Chase's problems from my report, I was told by Chase lease department that they only keep records for 5 years, so my account can't be accessed anymore. Bounced from department to department on the phone, no reply to letters or email, I'm at a loss for what else to do. My debt to income level is greatly hampered by an error of more than $9,000, not to mention 2 agencies still think I have a repo in my past, rather than just a cancelled lease.

When Chase bought Washington Mutual Bank this year, I immediately pulled all my accounts out of what had otherwise been a good bank for years. Unfortunately, I have a credit card through Chase now because of the bank takeover and it would harm my credit even more if I give up that card. No amount of friendly people in customer service telling me to resend my faxes and letters and emails or transferring my calls five times can fix this error. Apparently, Chase has a policy of hiring the most ill-tempered and ignorant customer service reps. I financed a 2008 GM Pontiac through Chase in September 2008. I was laid off from a $47K (per year) position in the automotive industry back in November 2008. I am still unemployed but hopeful. I have been receiving unemployment checks and making my auto loan payments every month. It has not been easy, rather a hardship, since unemployment checks are only twice a month and nowhere near my previous salary income. I have paid after the due date but always before the next payment is due. I am doing my best. I also have a mortgage and other household bills.

I called Chase to get a payment deferred and had the unpleasant experience of speaking with Judy, a financial service rep. She told me I would not be able to get a payment deferred, and maybe, I could borrow money instead. It did not matter to Chase that I was now unemployed. I was then told that things could get worse for me, if I did not continue to make my payments. If I could purchase another vehicle and not have to converse with Chase ever again, I would be pleased. Right now, I need to have my car, and so, I just continue to make payments the best I can and hope I will soon be free of Chase Auto Finance. One would think that in today's economic climate, there would be more empathy forthcoming.

This email is about Chase Bank or Chase Auto Finance. Never before have I been so frustrated with someone I want to pay! My statement did not arrive and I missed a payment. In my mind, not a big deal. They called me and said I could make a payment on the phone. I told them I would go home after work and check it out to verify. Nowadays, you cannot just give account info over the phone if you did not initiate the call and know who you are talking to. I found that I did not receive the monthly statement, so I agreed I owe a payment. I went to the website and could find no address. You have to have a username and password to access the site. I don't have that and don't want that. I just wanted an address to send a check!

I found a number for them, talked with them and made my payment. A few other things happened that were annoying, like their attitudes, fast talk and constant interrupting while on the phone with them. It was like a script with them saying, "What is your routing number?" over and over while trying to talk with them. When I am asking for an address to send a check, they said they had address all over and needed payment now, like I was going to steal the car. I told her I had not received the statement for June and sill not for July. She said that was probably from a switch to quarterly statements, but should not have affected me! I just received a letter stating my account is past due. It has no address on it as I wanted to complain to Chase about their antics. I take that back, there is an address and it says under it - "Undeliverable mail only".

A company that will hassle you so harshly and not listen to why you missed a payment or give you a place to mail it is insane to me. Bad business. I, if I can get in touch with someone, will be moving my account elsewhere. I went online and wow, there are a lot of websites/forums that are saying the same thing about Chase Bank. I went easy on them too. I am way more upset with them than I sound. Please respond with good news and let me know that me and everyone else deserve at least half ** service! Please contact me if you want a copy of my statement that has no address and only a phone number that states day or night service, yeah right! It says press 1 for an address, but it is only for a payoff, not a payment. They said they would send out duplicate statements. I have no faith.

When I purchased my car in January 2004, I chose to accept financing from Chase bank because of the low interest rate offered to me. Little did I know that although the low interest was a bonus, the price I would pay would be in shoddy customer service and lax accounting.

The problem began in May of 2009. I paid the remainder of my car loan for the amount of $437.65. The payment was received on May 26, 2009. I was informed by the representative that I spoke to at the time that the automatic payments would stop, because my account was now closed. I took him at his word. On June 16, 2009, Chase withdrew an amount of $280.84 from my account.

I called the customer service number, and after several calls and an hour, I reached a human who informed me yet again that my account was closed and that the automatic payments would stop. A refund check was issued and arrived 2 weeks later, not the five business days as had been promised. I accepted this mistake, as I believed it to be a one-time error and that the payments, as I had been told twice now, would stop.

On July 16, 2009, an amount of $280.84 was again withdrawn from my account. This resulted in $300 coming from my overdraft account to cover this withdrawal. I called Chase bank, and after two hours and many transfers to supervisors and different departments, I was informed that I was the one who needed to stop the automatic payments.

I logged onto Chase.com and attempted to log in with my social security number and my account number. I was informed by the website that "We are unable to identify you in our records." Fortunately, after two hours, a woman, who was very helpful, assisted me in resetting the account and stopping the payments. However, I am displeased that it took the company two months to offer this assistance.

They have sent me a lien satisfied note and expect me to go to the registry and get a new title. The supervisor told me that I would have to wait 3 months to get a new title. She then would not transfer me to another supervisor and hung up on me. Because of the poor management of Chase, I will not be able to drive my automobile and I am not getting any satisfaction from this sloppily ran company or its employees. I need a vehicle and I should not be penalized for their shortcomings. Can I pursue this through legal action?

I have a perfect payment history for 2 1/2 years on my car, I have been a couple of days late but never 30 days. I lost my job and had a baby a year ago but maintained my payments. The collections department calls everyday and I had my most recent encounter this month. The collector called me; his name is Manny. He said he was calling because at midnight, I would be 30 days late and he was putting in notice to repossess my car. I told him I would make a payment that day at the branch but he said that's not good enough.

Manny asked what was going on and I explained to him about my job loss a year ago, being a single father, and the state taking child support from me (although my son lives with me), a custody fight for my daughter (who was kidnapped by her mother and taken to Mexico), along with all other bills. He said okay, to make the payment and they would defer a payment so I would be current. He demanded I do a check by phone, which I explained I don't do with Chase anymore because in November of 2008 they messed it up. Again he demanded and said I had no choice. So I did it because I can't afford to lose my car which would affect my job. After a week, I realized they still had taken the money out of my account, which is what happened before.

Manny happened to call me the next day, and told me I gave them a bad check and it was returned for non-sufficient funds. I tried to explain that this happened last time and the money was there. He called me a liar and demanded 3 payments by the end of the day or I would have no car. The next business day, I went to a Chase branch and talked with a loan officer and had her call the collection department. I brought statements from my bank showing no check was ever run from my account, much less returned. So we faxed my paperwork to collections and they said I could come pay it the next day, since I didn't have the funds in my account that day due to the fact I had to rent a car to make sure I could go to work.

The next day when I got off work, I called Chase and asked to talk to the rep I made the agreement with, to make sure we were all on the same page. I was transferred to Manny again who then said that my arrangement to pay what I owed wasn't good enough and if I didn't pay $1353.00 that day, I wouldn't have a car in the morning. I told him I would call him back from the branch with the loan personnel there in 15 minutes. He said he didn't care if I wasn't paying the $1300.00, but I could call back. I went to the branch and I missed the loan officer by 10 minutes. I called back to tell him and he had left for the day.

I went into a branch to get pre-approved for an auto loan, they led me to believe that all I needed to do is find out what car I wanted, and to go back with the details and it would all be taken care of that day. I went back into the branch 2 days later, with all the information I needed. The information was not processed that day, and they over-promised, and did not deliver. I called the banker, who told me she would call me right back. After not hearing from her for an hour, I called up their loan department, they told me that they were waiting on more information from me. I sent them proof of income from a property management company in the form of a statement that showed income received. They told me this was not good enough, I waited over the weekend, and contacted the property management company, and told them the situation, and they forwarded them a lease agreement. Chase told me they would need a tax return from me. I faxed my tax return, and they could not put everything together.

I own 2 homes, I'm a financial adviser, with only $15k in student loans, and they would not finance $11k for me. My credit card limit on my Citi Card is $33k, and I haven't even come close to that.

Finally, after turning me down, my banker calls me 4 days later, and apologizes. Asked if she should dispute it, I told her not to bother, as I've already jumped through enough hoops. I took a personal loan from my parents, of $2,500, which they deposited in cash into my Chase account, and were then told that the funds, even though cash, would not be available until the following day.

I checked my account the following day, and made many phone calls, and no one seems to have any idea of when the funds should hit my account. I called WaMu, and Chase, they have no sign of my transaction, and all gave different reasons to why, and when the funds should hit my account. I made sure to ask each person I spoke with, if they thought the system was stupid, and they all responded yes. Very nice employees, with their hands tied, who believe the system they work in, is stupid. Worst thing is, I never asked to have a Chase account, when it was WaMu, the funds came straight in, and I had access to them. Globalization has a negative effect on the service we receive, and it's unacceptable. These organizations are monopolizing the industry, and should be broken back up.

The rare times I called their main number, the people were very polite and helpful. I find it hard to believe that all these people have all had such bad experiences as they claim or that the these workers are that rude. We financed our car through chase in February 2008. We have had a perfect payment history. Our interest rate is 25.24%. I have spent several hours on the phone with various representatives who are rude and dismissing. I have been referred over to collections who, while more helpful because I am not delinquent, say that they can not help me with lowering this interest rate or car payment of over $300 because they are not licensed to deal with loans, rewrite contracts, lower interest, etc. They are completely unwilling to negotiate. The reason that this is so aggravating is because when we purchased the vehicle, we were told that we would be able to have our credit and payment history reviewed through Chase for a lower rate.

We have done everything that we can think of short of missing a payment and letting the car get reposed, which they have threatened because their system was down and not showing a payment a few months ago. With several weeks of calls and showing my bank statement, we were able to resolve that problem. When we purchased the vehicle, the company was requiring more income. The salesman, who knew my husband, was scrapping for a few extra dollars at the time; he told him to bring in the recycling receipts and the loan would go through as we were only short on our income by a little. The company was aware what our debt to income ratio was when financing was accepted and financed the vehicle anyway through shady means. In an attempt to recover from financial stress, we have since moved in with relatives so that we don't have the $850 a month in rent and the $250 PGE bill. But we are still struggling to make the payments.

They continued to harass me daily with phone calls every night. When I explained that I would pay it as soon as I got the check, less than 5 days, they continued to berate me and repeatedly asked me why I took the loan if I didn’t have any money. Mind you, I am paying 20% interest on the loan, was recently laid off and had moved to Florida to take care of my mom. I logged onto my Chase Auto Finance account and paid my bill as I usually do. After paying, I was told that I could set up an auto payment. "An auto payment", I thought. "What an easy way to handle a bill!". Unfortunately, after setting up an auto payment, which was to begin the following month, my initial one time payment no longer appeared as a pending activity on their website. So I sent them a message asking if my initial payment was still pending. I was told by Christan ** that no payment was pending. And really, why would someone give out bad information on something like this? Acting on the pretense that I would have to resubmit a payment for the month, I put another one time payment in. This time, it showed up on the activity log, along with my repeating payment. Christian ** gave me bad information. I was charged nearly $1000 for my car payment that month. That might normally be okay, but this was during the holiday season and I was on a budget. I incurred $175 in overdraft fees because Chase Auto Finance, through Christian ** and Jaime ** (who later passed the buck) gave me some bad information.

Through the next two months, I was double billed twice more, but was ready for it. During that time, I tried to speak to someone who could set things straight for me as Chase was clearly in the wrong. The people I called on the phone told me a variety of conflicting stories as to how this came about, but I was never able to speak to the same person twice. Eventually, a service representative told me that my account described the double billing situation as being something that occurred because my bank initiated a payment through the online bill payment option on their website (which I haven't used). The person I spoke with at Chase agreed that if this information was incorrect, I would receive a refund of my money.

So I got my trusty Bank of America representative on a three-way phone call and she explained that the double billing was in fact initiated by Chase Auto Finance, and that this was documented. Seeing I was correct in my objections to a thrice double billing, the Chase representative told me to collect a claim for their claims department by getting this documentation, and attaching it to copies of prior correspondence. I did that minutes after receiving the documentation and I faxed it to Chase Auto Finance. In spite of receiving this documentation, which came straight from Bank of America, Chase refused to give me any of the money they'd cost me as a result of this. The reason? The double payments were authorized by my bank's online billing!

When I called about this, I was not allowed to speak to the claims representative, but I was offered a great deal on a credit card after the denial. I did nothing wrong through this process. I stayed with it, I trusted in their corporate claim system and I kept paying my bill (though I put a stop to the auto payments). Still, my money is gone and Chase Auto Finance offers only a disconnected string of poorly informed (though often pleasant, remarkably aware) phone representatives to help me start the whole process over again. All that can come out of this for me is that when the reader of this is thinking about getting a loan or opening a checking account, they remember my experience and refuse to give these frauds their money. I incurred $175 in overdraft fees.

I went online to pay my May payment and the minimum was listed as 0.00. I called to find out why and was told that due to the economy, I was being given the opportunity to skip the month's payment with no repercussions. This was on May 26, 2009 at approximately 1 am. On 6-4-09, I received a letter from Chase saying that my credit limit had been reduced by $2400. I have had this card since 2000 and one of the reasons listed was, "Too few accounts with time on file greater than 36 months." I also have an Amazon card with them that I've had since 2004.

I logged on today, 6-5-09, to make a payment to that card. I noticed that my minimum payment on my larger card had increased by over $150! This is more of an increase than I can pay. When I called, I was told that I had an over limit fee, that I had exceeded my limit due to new charges early in May. However, when those charges, approximately $500, were made I still had between $2000 and $3000 available credit. The limit was decreased after the charges were made, putting my balance at $84 in excess of my newly reduced limit. I was then charged over limit fees. The representative agreed to waive the over limit fees and told me to pay a new minimum payment instead.

My issue is not that the limit was reduced, it is that Chase reduced it to below what I had already charged and then penalized me for it. All this after deferring my previous payment "to help out during these difficult economic times," and saying there would be no repercussions. I have never missed a payment, always paid between $5 and $50 over the minimum and with one exception on the smaller limit card. I have never been late on a payment over at least nine years. I have been diligent about continuing to make my payments, even though I often feel that the interest rates are excessive and criminal. Yet, I distinctly feel that there were indeed repercussions for electing to defer my payment despite what I was told. I have also been in customer service for over 15 years and feel that from both business and human standpoints, such a practice is dishonest, fraudulent, and simply put, wrong.

I'm absolutely appalled by Chase. I was recently laid off from my job and I am a college student so times are pretty tough, as for most people these days. I decided to call Chase and explain the situation to them to see if we can work out some sort of arrangement. I wasn't even 30 days late on my car payment, nor have I ever been delinquent with my car payments until this one time. The woman I spoke to brought me to tears. The rudest, most evil woman I have ever talked to. She told me that I had more than enough time to come up with the money. I told her I was doing the best that I could and was out looking for jobs and even selling plasma for the time being. That wasn't good enough for her, apparently. She then proceeded to tell me that if I really wanted to keep my car, then I would find a way by any means necessary. She told me to sell stuff on eBay or just borrow the money. Seriously, who has the money to borrow these days? My friends and family are going through tough times themselves.

Thankfully, I was able to borrow money from a friend and paid the past due balance that very day. Again, I was not even 30 days late. My next payment was not due for another 20 days or so. However, the next week after making the past due payment a guy shows up at my door threatening to take my car away. I do not understand! I made the payment and I didn’t have one due! A few days later, I checked my bank account to find that Chase had taken out the next month’s payment (that wasn’t even due yet) without my authorization. I ended up getting a ton of overdraft fees and was negative $400 in my account. My bank told me I would have to contact Chase and have them pay for the overdraft fees and refund the amount they took out. Do you think I have seen that money? Nope! They didn't believe me and said they would have to look into it further. I'm still negative. Something has to be done.

On a regular basis, Chase is taking my monthly payments and applying them solely for interest and sending me notices that my account is delinquent. In the month of January, I sent Chase auto finance via Moneygram a total of $1166.68 which for November's payment, December's payment and January's payment. Chase then turned around and stated that my January payment was not received because they applied all that money to interest. So after telling them I was filing a complaint with Consumer Affairs, DMV, etc, my account manager, Fatima, submitted for me a deferred payment which I didn't agree to because my account was current.

However, with the deferred payment, they still tried to state that a payment was due for February. However, after continuing to complain, they stated the payment was due in March 26, 2009. So in March, I sent a payment in the amount of $350 which was short by $38 which is my regular car note. However, they forwarded all my money towards interest and then stated that owe $101 for April and my account is 30 days past due. The rep when I called on Sunday was extremely rude saying, "You're behind two months for April and May," just being extremely disrespectful. Now, I spoke to a rep today who then stated something about a bounced check in February which I didn't have an account in February. This is why I have to pay some interest payment. I only send my money either Moneygram or by mail. What is the law in regards to interest payments?

I have an auto loan with Chase auto finance. This is not my first but second auto loan with chase bank. I agree that this company has no since of generosity. During this time in my life I'm having some major financial difficulties. Along with many others in our country. I've made many attempts to refinance my auto loan, dropping the interest rate down. Reminding you that this is my 2nd auto loan in a row with this company. (Just take the time to read all the many ads on the web about helping all incomes get financed) I'm paying $21,000 on a 2006 that is worth only $6,900. I'm not happy with the assistance you get when you call to speak to someone re: options you may have with monthly payments and or who to speak to about your loan. I am now going into my second month past due on my account and I've had it with this bank and it's poor business skills.

Before the bill was even due. Its their fault I could not make my payment and now they are charging me fee's! They blatently lied to me several times. Once I confronted them about the billing lie they actually gave up on it and then said they would change my address so I COULD recieve my monthly bills. Which of course they no longer send anymore. Without any advance warning to all their consumers by the way. Now because of their error I have to drive 15 miles away on my day off at work and make a payment directly at the bank? How is that right? Here is a copy of the last e-mail sent..."Of course you are not. I will NEVER use Chase bank again. I just spoke with someone from your branch again...Olivia was her name. She first claimed when I complained that I have not been recieving my monthly bills, that you dont send them out anymore! I have emailed 5 times called 3 times to find out why I did not receive my bill for april. Each time I was told a new one would be sent out. I never received one. I moved in March and when I sent in my payment for march I checked the box on the front and included my new address. Well, whoever makes the changes from that box is an idiot. They hacked my address up so bad, its no wonder I never received my statment. Funny thing is, when I called and emailed each time, I verified my address!!!! Do they even look at the address when they answer the phone and ask you to recite it for them? Obviously not. After I ask them to tell me which address they had for me they said"1232 Oleanda ave Louisville, Indiana 46215" It's 1232 Oleanda Ave Louisville Kentucky 40215" No wonder I never got a bill. I cant believe Olivia tried to tell me that you just stopped sending monthly bills out of the blue without notifying your clients. Then she proceeded to tell me that I owed a late fee for a bill I have been begging to pay since two weeks before it was even due! Can you believe the nerve?! Look at my record of payments and tell me how many you see marked as late. NONE. I want this problem addressed immediatly. If I get another stupid reply like the last few Ive gotten. legal action will definitly follow. Send this message directly to a Manager."

How can a business like Chase Auto have people, or direct people, who call, harass, threaten and intimadate their customers the way they are ?
I was laid off from my work and my wife and I were (are) trying to get finances in order and dealt with as possible. Our car loan was about to go late and my wife called and talked to Chase Auto, name unknown, about our loan, our situation and explained what we were doing, why we were doing it and what we were going to do when possible. We were told that this was OK and thanks for contacting. I thought we did what was needed and Chase Auto was OK with it being they were informed and siad OK. After that point, a few days later when the loan was about 2 days late, we received their automated calling notice recording that we needed to contact them as soon as possible about our car loan. My wife again immediately called them and again explained what was going on and that we had called earlier about the same thing and that they should be aware of it, but if not she went thru the explanation again of what, why and how we were doing on it. Again, we were told OK and thanks for keeping them updated. Next day, the recording called again, then the next day, and everyday at 8:00 am - 9:00 am for 14 days. My wife did call back again sometime in that time frame and asked what they needed, besides the payment, and if they could stop the automated call. She was told they knew about our situation, it was noted in the files and that the calls would stop. Never did. I just figured it was Chases way of reminding us that we needed to get this taken care of and I let the calls go. Then on the 14th day of being late I received a call on my home phone from 1-330-972-0312. I was not able to get to the phone fast enough and seen that the missed call was from Chase Ato and assumed it was the recording again. this was at 09:48 on 04/24/2009. At 10:33 I received a call on my cell phone from the same number (330-972-0312) and a gentleman who identified himself as a Chase Auto account rep. said that he needed to know if or when we could make a payment on our car that was 14 days past due, or if I could make a payment then. I told him I could not make a payment due to the fact that I let all the financial dealing go thru my wife and I had no idea if the money was there. I told him that I would see her at lunch, and inform her of his request and if she could call chase back and talk with them about the payment. Again all was OK and thank you. Then at 15:03 on 04/24/2009 I received a call from 1-952-897-9260 and a woman who I could barely understand and could not get her name started telling me that as my loan agent she wanted the payment now. I tried to tell her I had talked to someone else earlier in the day and then passed it on to my wife at lunch, and I had no idea what was worked out. I also asked why she was calling again today as she was the second person to call from Chase Auto and I was informed that this was her first time calling and that she was the only caller that mattered. I was also told I needed to make a payment now ! I said I could not, I did not have access to my bank account to do this and that I had informed the wife who was going to call and take care of it that afternoon. This was unacceptable to her, I was stalling and being I could not make a decision on my end of this, she was going to call a repo agent and schedule a pickup time for my car being it was 14 days past due and that I was not correcting that point. At this point I'm starting to get extremely upset, and concerned, and was trying to reason with her and explain that I could do nothing about it until I could get my wife at work. I was told then that if she did not hear from my wife ASAP that she would schedule to have the car picked up. I then tried to ask what she wanted me to do. She harshly came back with pay the late payment. I said I could not do that. My wife has this. I asked for a number and was given 1-952-897-9287, agian she said her name quickly and I could not understand it. I said my wife will call and could she please give me her name again. She said that would be perfect and hung up. I was able to get ahold of my wife later as she was in a meeting and gave her the number, explained what was going on and watch out. She called the number, but could only leave a message as no one would answer. As I am writting this I have no idea what brought that on or why I was treated in such an unprofessional and discourteous way. Why I was threatened. We were and had been trying to work with them and keep them informed as to what was going on and when. The recorded messages everyday. Different people calling. 2 on 14th late day. I admit the payment is 14 days late, I thought I was working with Chase Auto. But to talk so rude and dicouteously with repo threats if I did not do something then and now. This is unacceptable and I cannot understand why Chase Auto, or any business, would allow business to be conducted this way, and why I was treated in this manner when all I did was cooperate.

I am also having financial troubles and have late payments. One rep helped me set up an account transfer so I wouldn't accrue extra fees when making my payments online. That wasn't even one of my issues but she saw I had assessment fees on all my payments and had a better way of paying to not get charged the fees. In my opinion, they may get rude if you haven't tried to speak with them about any problems economic or otherwise beforehand. I'm sorry that some of you have had issues of rude customer reps but some of the Chase reps are very nice and helpful!

After having faithfully paid my auto finance installments for several years with never a late payment, I received a late charge notice from Chase Auto Finance. Calling the toll free number listed on the statement, I explained the situation to the customer service representative. The representative replied that a bill was sent out on time and that I was now late with my payment. I then told the representative that I had never received the bill in the mail, which was the case. The representative replied that if I were to send in the payment right away, the late charges would be dropped. I promptly sent in the payment.

Approximately two weeks later, I received another late charge notice for the next month's payment. Calling customer service again, I explained the situation. This time, the representative replied that I was sent a notice several months ago explaining that Chase Auto Finance was now going to discontinue sending monthly billing statements and would be changing to a quarterly ticket book payment arrangement (and that I was supposedly also mailed a book of payment tickets with this communication). I replied that I had never been sent such a notice or the book of payment tickets.

Instead of apologizing for any inconvenience and assuring me that an envelope with full information as well as ticket book would be promptly sent to me, and that the late charges would be dismissed in light of the situation (because I was always prompt with my previous payments), the representative became argumentative, continually repeating that I was sent the notice of policy change and ticket book, I am now late in my payment and that I must have received the notice in the mail but probably did not read it, etc. I then asked to be transferred to a supervisor but the representative continued to be argumentative. After a long wait (approximately 10 minutes), I was transferred to a supervisor. After explaining the matter to this supervisor, the supervisor, more calmly, repeated what the representative had said. Therefore, no real attempt was made by Chase Auto Finance to assist me.

She started arguing with me, accusing me of falsifying my application on the purchase of the Jeep and that I needed to pay the balance off today. She was very rude and unreasonable. I did not put anything on the credit app that was not true of the money I had coming in, but shortly after buying the Jeep, my husband filed for divorce and left me with no money coming in off our business that I own 50% of and had that money coming in until he left me. She told me that was of no concern to her, that I lied on my credit app. and she threatened to start garnishing my paycheck. I have an auto loan with Chase Auto Finance. In June of 2008, I started to fall behind on payments while being out of work on maternity leave but never got up to more than 2 payments past due. I explained my hardship to the reps at Chase and promised to make a serious effort to be on time in the future. I constantly get back to back phone calls from Chase reps on my home, cell and work phones. The calls come 3-4 times in a row, one after another, if I miss the calls. During a conversation with a rep from Chase, I was maybe 35 days past due and offered to pay partial at that time, and the remainder a few days later after getting paid.

The rep I was speaking to told me that I needed to make a decision now to either pay the total due immediately, or volunteer to surrender the car. I told the rep I needed to talk things over with my husband first to see if we could borrow the money, or consider surrendering the vehicle but couldn't make the decision at that very moment. The rep replied, “No, you need to either make the payment now, or I will make the decision easy for you and have the vehicle removed from your premises.” She then went on to verify the current location of the vehicle. This particular rep was extremely rude and unprofessional.

In the recent months, I am constantly harassed by a man named John ** from Chase. He calls my home, and if there’s no answer, he leaves a message and then calls my work cell phone. If I miss the call, he sends a numeric page to call him and immediately redials my cell 2-3 more times, and leaves messages such as “This is John ** from Chase Auto and I have made several attempts to reach you which are unsuccessful. You need to immediately return my call, or I will have to make a decision on your behalf. Do not hesitate; return my call immediately.” Then he hangs up and calls right back again.

I have explained numerous times to Mr. Harold that I am experiencing financial difficulties at the moment, and then he will begin to state that I get paid on a weekly basis so I should be able to make the payment the coming Friday at the latest. Or, if I state that I will call in on a particular day in the coming week to make my payment, he will badger me to set up an electronic payment right then. When I answer my work cell or office phone and advise him that I'm at work and can’t speak now, he continues to go into details about his failed attempts to reach me and threatens to make a decision on my behalf if I don’t speak with him.

I have explained that I work in transportation and can’t be contacted at work. My relatives are constantly called by him when he doesn't reach me, and all the while I’m not even 30 days behind yet! I cannot take the harassment from this company any longer! The reps are rude, pushy, persistent, and unprofessional. Even after I changed my cell number, somehow Chase lied to my family members I listed as references to get my new number.

I was in the construction industry for 20+ years and we all know what has happened to housing jobs there, a thing of the past right now. So I have taken another job to pay my bills and keep a roof over my head until housing comes back. And yes, I am working at a severely reduced income but I'm making it. But I have one big problem. I have a truck financed through Chase Financial. I got behind on this truck by 2 months and now have it almost caught up sending in a payment every two weeks when I get paid. I went through the nastiest phone call of my life today for being 6 days late.

It started months ago and they were without a doubt the nastiest people I have ever talked with (and I have talked to thousands of people on the phone; that's what I'm doing now myself). And when they told me they were going to repo the truck albeit with only $1,500 owed on it, I told them to go ahead just to get them off my phone so I did not have to hear their nastiness anymore. I was actually going to give them a truck I have paid over $23,000 on to never have to talk to them again. And I didn't answer their calls for 2 months until I got caught up on the payments. Well, they haven't repo'ed the truck and don't threaten with that any longer because I told them they did when they were humiliating me again and they could not figure out if they had or hadn’t (some bookkeeping system they got going on there). They think they have it that's why they don't threaten with that anymore. They think they have the truck.

That was the only headway I have made with these people. They think they have the truck so they don't threaten me with repo'ing it. But the calls for the remaining balance are relentless. I went through a major battle with this lady over the remaining $422 left owed on the truck because it is 6 days late. This is the last payment on a truck that they think they have! To say I won't be getting a title from Chase is a given so I guess I'm going to part the truck out after I pay it off. It's going to be heartbreaking to part out a beautiful truck (I’ve taken great care of it), because the finance company is so nasty. I'll never get the title because they think they have possession of the truck and there is no need to send me a title once I pay the loan off. This is an assumption I know but I'm almost positive I’ll be right. Time will tell.

I don't have the money for a lawyer so I guess this is just the way it’s going to be. I work for a collections agency now until housing comes back and I can go back to that line of work again. As a matter of a fact, I work for one of the largest in the country and in the past 2 months, we have been top performers in our field. And if I ever talked to a customer the way Chase talks to me, I would be looking for another job, pronto! I gave them a cease and desist order and they called me later that day (I know by guidelines they were not supposed to call for 10 days) and I ask the girl if she had ever heard of the FDCPA. She told me that she was familiar with it, but that did not apply to them and I owed them money and clarified to me that my next paycheck was their money! And when I got paid on Friday, she better have it by Saturday! And this is for the last payment! I know when our customers start to pay their way out of a delinquent account, we cheer them on and tell them how good they’re doing. It makes them pay faster and they usually reinstate the account.

I have never told Chase that I know they are making a mockery out of the FDCPA and that I do the same work as them. I figured it would only fuel the fire that they have with me. The company I work for got a bail out too and it’s being used to sponsor programs to help people pay their debt. I write these loans all day long and they are making a difference helping these people pay their debt off. Although I know a lot of you out there with problem don't believe that. I was never offered any kind of a program with Chase. Chase is using their bailout to train these people to be nasty like that (I know professional collectors do not act this way; it's in their training) and to take money from people after they think they have taken their vehicle they don't even know if they have or not (shows some very bad bookkeeping). They just want what they describe as their money! That's the same money I describe as my paycheck that I have to eat on and house myself for 2 weeks until I get another that I’m sure Chase will figure out a fee to take that too even after the loan is paid in full.

I'll post another complaint in a few weeks after I have paid this vehicle off and see how the rest of the Chase experience finishes out. And by the way, yes, I do ring people’s phone 10 times a day myself and I'm very pushy for payment. It’s my job but I have never degraded and humiliated people for a payment. The very large and successful agency I work for does not train us to use tactics like that. All that does is make people hate the fact that they are having to pay you. We have a very different set of tools that we use that is much more successful and people usually reinstate their accounts even after being in collections.

After reading all these complaints, I don't feel so alone in my feeling about Chase Auto Finance. I purchased a vehicle last summer through Chase (my first time). Shortly afterward, I lost my job. Chase was horrible to work with. They were unhelpful, rude and heartless. They called my home day and night (even after agreeing to payment arrangements). They called references and told them they were concerned because they could not locate me because they lost my contact information; although they had spoken to me just days prior and immediately afterward! They threatened me over and over to repossess my car and I wasn't even 30 days late. They refused to stop calling. They told me that they will keep calling because it was their right.

They even called my mother-in-law and discussed my account (at least twice). I complained to BBB and that went in circles. They reported to the BBB that I was 3 months behind (a total lie) and they were following the guidelines for the Fair Debt Collection Act, even though they were obviously abusing the interpretation of it. I eventually got a message from a vice president who passed me off to his assistant (who never returned my calls). I was so frustrated that the only thing I could do was request to BBB that they cease all communication (except for monthly statements). That angered them, so they shot off a letter stating that if I ever get behind on my payments again, they will repossess without notice. Oh, did I mention this all took place over the holidays? Nice! My account was closed at that time. When I contacted them, they told me it was my fault and that it was my responsibility to cancel my Chase online payment. Nowhere was it mentioned I needed to go in and close it once my account was paid off. Long story short, both customer service supervisors blamed me for the error and told me I needed to fax them a copy of the transaction showing the money had been taken from my account. After doing so, Anthony told me I would receive an overnight check. I didn't receive the check. I called back and spoke with Francis, she was cold and uncaring and really didn't care about the issue. All she could do is blame me over and over again. They took my rent out of my account, me and my boys will end up on the street if I do not get the money back, she didn't express concern. She just told me it would take a minimum of three working days to research the issue and then once identified as having the funds deducted I would be reimbursed. In other words, my rent could be late by as much as twelve days. That won't work. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH CHASE AUTO.

They were not even trying to make payment arrangements they just threatened and threatened him. Were to a point its day two March 26th and Mr. Winkler is telling me to have my husband take all of his crap out of the car so they can pick it up. At this point I don't even want to give them money or our business they can have the car shove it up their you know whats and we can all go about our own business. I have been out of work for 3 months now and have been really behind with my finances. I have spoken to numerous customer service agents and tell them that I am trying my hardest to make a payment. I finally received a part time job and on my first check I was going to make at least a month payment but they said they will not accept it until I make two months of payments. If I don't have it they will just repo the vehicle. I need my vehicle for work to pay them so it makes no sence. I asked if there are any programs or arrangements that will work with me on this vehicle but they said no. The best advice that they could give me would be to pawn my personal belongings or borrow the money from family. Every one is hurt due to job loss from the economy, if I could of borrowed that money I would have the first month to avoid all these fees that are accruing. I was so happy to finally be able to make a payment and they just put me under more stress because now I have to keep looking out my window hoping to not see my car gone. I have been losing hours of sleep and my heart beats everytime I see headlights in the window. I get paranoid attacks just from them threatening that they are going to take my vehicle away. They even told me I should remove my personal belongings for when the repo man does come. Instead of giving me advice on how to keep the vehicle they are giving me advice on how to give it back. I just don't understand.

I was transfered to an extention and place on perpetual hold towards where I had to hang up my break was over. Second Call, I was told a different story. I was told that the re-finance department would help me with the solution of both problems, I was then transferred to the finance department where I was then sent on a recorded frenzy press this for this press that for that and by the end of the call I was right back where I started from. Third call, I got another story, I was told that I could not re-finance through a phone call and that there was no other place to call to lower my payments and in the same breath was asked why I needed to lower my payments?? I this point I was livid and asked why she needed to know was she the person I would need to talk to, she then stated no it is only for documentation??? I told her it was really none of her business if she was not the one who would approve or decline my request. I felt humiliated. I tell them he is not here and wont be until the weekend, and they said oh well we will continue to call everyday. And they do .They wont deal with me at all. I talked to 1 person in charge and asked them to not call until the weekends, when my husband will be home,(this was Mon. 2/9/09) she put a 10 day curtiosy hold on all calls. But I still recieved 6 more calls that night, and then non for 2 days, and then today I start getting them again. The person would not put me through to a person in charge nor would she tell me her name. And when I called again , they hung up on me after they said what they wanted to say, and not listening to me. Last month we were a bit behind, but still within the same payment month. I called to see if the recieved my payment that I sent off the 24th , they said no and that now I am a HIGH RISK problem and they might REPO my car...WHAT!!!!???? I was so mad I hung up. The next day , I checked my bank account...hmmm OH MY GOSH the payment went through. Thats a shocker...they have done that before as well. Had the payment for 4 days before putting it through their system and causing a late charge. Sure its our responsibility to be on time, but we have made every single months payment regardless. We should not be harrased like this. They have told me to Shut up and listen to them. They tell me they can do whatever they want. And that they dont have o deal with me even tho my husband is not around to talk to them. I should not have to deal with this. I am 7 months pregnant and after getting all worked up today, I hurt. I have contacted the BBB on them...and Chase has yet to respond to them..they are still working on getting ahold of them. On December 27, 2008, I purchased a used car from Massey Cadillac in Orlando, Florida. Without my knowing, the car was financed through JP Morgan Chase at an interest rate of 8.29%, an extremely high interest rate, because I could have obtained a 4.75 interest from my local Credit Union. The dealership failed to discuss the interest options with me causing this matter to be overlooked.
At any rate, I planned to pay the automobile off at the first billing. But, the Chase account number for my payment was not made available to me until after banking hours, by phone, on February 6, 2009. It was then that I received a call from a Chase representative saying my auto payment was past due and that I now owed interest on the vehicle from the payment due date of January 26, 2009. I asked how could I have made a payment without an account number. I emphasized the fact that I had looked online for an account number, but there was no auto loan shown on my account. Even early on February 6, 2009 when I paid my open Chase Credit Card account off, there was no information shown of an auto loan. After receiving the late evening call from the Chase representative, I went online and looked again for the auto loan account. It was not there. In fact, I had to wait until the account information was added that evening on the 6th of February, 2009. Chase Bank is saying I owe interest from January 26, until February 6, 2009. I believe that I'm not responsible for intest because account number was not made available to me. A sales representative at the Massey dealership who I asked about paying off my loan told me I would have to wait for an account number. The Chase Auto Loan Representative online last night claims they sent me an account number by mail and it was returned with the wrong address. They tried to call me, they said, but had an erroneous phone number. How can that be when I had an open account with Chase at the time? I'm refusing to pay the interest amount requested, and I need an attorney's assistance in this matter.

I purchased a vehicle in July of 2006 and the dealer financed this car with Chase Auto Finance.
The first 18 months there were no problems. I paid my note on time and the few occasions that I was late. (meaning 6 days past due) the phone started to ring. I normally would explain that I sent the check or I would make the payment over the phone. It was a little aggravating to have a dozen calls in a day hour on the hour when I was within the grace period but I lived. Over the last 12 months the economy has gone south and my income has dropped significantly. I have been in contact with Chase about the situation and have offered partial payments to keep things on track. I admit that I have gotten behind on my car loan but at no time had I been dishonest or hide what was going on with them. I would speak to a rep at Chase on Monday and make some sort of arrangement as to when I would pay and the following afternoon the same person would call looking for payment. There were times when I would get a rep that was pleasant and other times when they were not so pleasant. If I did not return there calls (there were times when I would not return calls based on having the same conversation over and over in the matter of hours with differant reps) and the next day a tow truck driver would come to my house with a cell phone and insist that I call. (they billed me for the tow truck driver...seriously!) I am in a commision only position and I had gotten a couple of months behind. I was recieving threatening calls on a daily basis. They told me all of the executives in the bank had eyes on my loan and that they were doing what they could to help me (Not sure what that was exactly) but they were going to repo the car and then sue me for the balance. I explained to them that I had offered partial payments which they refused to accept and asked if they would defer a couple of payments which they would not. They wanted the note paid up or the would repo the car. I financed 20K on my car and over the course of 2.5 years had made payments in excess of 10K. I had driven the car close to 90K miles and the book value on this car was significantly lower than what they would get at auction and I explained this to them. I also told them that if they would work with me I could get out of this jam but I need some time to get a couple of deals closed. Not good enough. They were more interested in coming for the car. I finally spoke to a girl that seemed willing to work with me and thought I might be getting somewhere. But they came and got the vehicle that night. I tried to call Chase to explain that I was speaking with somone that said she was working with me but the lady that I had on the phone continuously interupted me and threatened to call the Sherriffs dept and have me arrested for theft. She accused me of not living in my house (not sure where that came from) etc etc...It was a nightmare. I turned the car over to the repo man who incidently was very cool and I understood he was only doing his job. The following day I made an appointement to go into chase and speak with the manager. They told me they would give me my car back if I came up with 3K. (the cars value at this point is only about 6-7K according to KBB) and that this was already being reported as a repo on my credit. Further they told me that I had to quailify all over for the loan. I told them that the reason I had been struggling with the payments was that my income had dropped and that if I had to qualify it might not work but if they would work with me I could get this back on the straight and narrow as I had some commisions coming in the door within the month. I had further discussions with Chase and they said they would possibly allow me to come in with 2K and they would call me back. Meanwhile I had no car and had to make arraingements to get back and forth to work. My dad gave me 2K to either get the car back or go and purchase another car. (calling my dad for help was a nightmare...he has the money but has his own issues financially and did not want to go down this avenue). I called and left Chase several messages that were not returned. I ended up purchasing a used car to get around in and never heard back from Chase until they sent me a letter stating that I had "broken my promise to them" In the end I understand that the banks need to have recourse on loans but some common sense would have saved everyone a lot of trouble. I now have a repo on my credit and Chase made it impossible to avoid this. I was honest with them. returned there calls, offered partial payments on what I could pay etc etc etc. In return I recieved no assistance and only verbal abuse. 2 weeks after all of this I closed a loan and made about 6K commsion after taxes. I would have easily been able to get caught up. My credit although scared would not have been destroyed. Chase is really an example of why our banking system is under collapse. Zero common sense. Zero customer service. Zero business from me ever again. At some point the economy will get back on track and my earning potential will be back. I will never ever do buisness with them again. I do not claim zero responsibility on this. When I purchased the vehicle I was makeing great money and had no reason to believe things would change. However Chase handled it poorly...especially when considering how much of our tax dollars are being poured into there coffers after they bailout you would think they would be willing to work with customers. In the end they are going to take about a 10K loss on this deal when a little patience and common sense would have avoided this whole thing for everyone.

I was told by chase that they had no routing and transit numbers to simply put my account number on the form from my accounting department which I did. my employers accounting department informs us that all new enrollments begin on the second pay period however upon doing this accounting thought I wanted to stop my auto deposit to my credit union and auto deposit the amount for my car payment only into my new chase account. I received my check in the mail not yet aware my auto deposit to credit union had been stopped. In the mean time my first payment to chase having come due. I called them and let them know it takes accounting longer because it's A new account. Chase said that I should mail my first payment 10 days prior to the due date as it takes that long to process personal checks. so I did what they said and mailed the payment. As always my paycheck arrived in the mail on the monday after being paid the previous friday which usually consists of nothing more than my paystub. on this monday it was my paycheck instead I had to run the funds to my credit union to cover the check I mailed to chase for my car payment I had sent payment only 4 days earlier so no problem chase said it takes 10 days to process. I also contacted my employers accounting department again to reestablish my direct deposit into my credit union a couple of weeks later I was informed that my accounting department can not direct deposit my car payment without A routing and transit number which they had advised me that they NEVER heard of in the MANY years of setting up employees direct deposit requests. So I went online and set up an account to make my payment via chase's website also advised by Chase upon my calling them with the imformation reguarding the lack of transit and routing numbers needed for direct deposit. There was NO!!!! indication during this conversation with Chase's well (informed employee) that there was ANY problem what so ever reguarding my previous payment.I made this call because I did not want to be late with my next payment. I waited for my next billing statement to arrive in the mail and setup the account via imformation provided in it. The statement was for the regular amount due for that months payment and showing my payment by check applied. the online statement showed payment by check made also. I made my payment for the following month via internet again with no problems. A week before my next months payment was due I Had A fedx envelope in my door It was from chase an urgent message asking me to contact them. I called the number on the letter and was to my suprise shocked to find out my check two months earlier bounced seems they can process MUCH sooner than the 10 days chase said it took. Now I'm dealing with NANCY from collections saying I owe 2 payments which NONE of my statements reflected she wont take A check from me EVER again. And I MUST wire cash money or get to A chase bank before 5pm that day or there taking my jeep. I wired the money through western union It took over 55 minutes for western union to find the right location to wire payment along with several call to chase branches as this information as with routing and transit numbers are not something Chase employees are educated enough to know? my money is now LOST and Chase's collection department has been harrassing me for payment. A chase employee named Nancy has harrassed me at work, harassed my family, Harassed me on weekends and everytime I try to tell her they don't provide information on where to send money she tells me I'm lieing and that there picking up my vehicle. I've been hung up on talked over and outright VERBALLY abused by this woman for mistakes they made. I find it HARD!!!!!! to believe this bank lacks the ability to Educate there employees on where to find the imformation required by (LAW) to assist consumers in conducting there banking transactions smoothly rather than base all payment on an account number and hope for the best. I have asked several times to speak to A district manager and am (ALWAYS) sent right back to Nancy! An employee who conducts herself in A manner not fitting of A prison guard. People like her should be in charge of nothing more than mucking out horse stalls. My hope is that An well meaning attorney will read all this and assist us in filing A class action lawsuit against there lending practices. And arrest the people who harass us on criminal charges. this type of behavior is unacceptable on the streets of our society WHY are we allowing it in our corporations? Its time! On August 21st, I finally got the money back into my account that was taken out in July. Well, apparantly, the August refund I got went to Chase and they reversed my June payment. They claim they never received the July payment that the bank swears they paid, so they reversed the June payment. So now they are claiming I owe them one more payment. The bank, Chase Repo Chick and I have been on the phone and they are not hearing each other. The Chase Repo girl just keeps telling me that they put a lein on my car and will repossess on Monday if I don't pay them one last payment. She is acting as if I am a criminal. This is a $70K car that was paid off and the title was sent to me. NOw they are going to send my account to charge off and repo my car for the $1000 balance they claim I owe. The bank has tried to talk to the Repo Chick(her name is LIZ and I pray none of you have to ever deal with her) and she hangs up on me. She tells me that she will repo my car and I just say, I will sue Chase, then she says are you threatening me? Isn't saying she is going to ruin my credit score and repo my car a threat? When I answer the numerous phone calls that Chase have been deligently placing, I come to find out that I owe the last payment plus about 1200 dollars extra for something I would like a little bit more clarity on. I have no argument about the amount, if it is correct. I just wanted a payment history mailed out to me as soon as possible. The guy that called me was very polite. He even advised me to call customer service at 1-800-336-6675 so that this matter would be taken care of. I did that. But what made me take time out of my busy schedule to type this letter, was the rudeness I received from customer service/collection department. I am trying to pay my bill. The way the economy is right now, I'm sure that this department are getting plenty of calls with attitudes and refusals of pay. I ,Pamela D., am trying to satisfy this debt reasonably. All I recieved from the call clerk was nothing but attitude, as if I owe her the money personally!! It was very disrespectful and rude!! Successful businesses won't survive this way. Nowadays, customer service has seemed to have disappeared. I hope sincerely that my phone call was recorded for quality assurance. Also,I hope that someone with CEO behind their name reads this and respond to this letter. This matter is very important to me and I hope to you as well. My phone call was made at 3:24pm cst. January 6,2009. Thanks in advance,

ebruary on 2008 I was laid off of my job of 2 years. During this position I received numerous promotions and felt my position to be secure. In August of 2007 I purchased a 2005 Jetta from a local dealership which was financed through Chase. I traded in my 2002 Mirage Coupe which I owed $6,000 on. The trade did not leave me upside down obviously. When I lost my job, I continued to pay my $504.95 car note on time sending payments of $540.00 each month. I had paid on time each month since I first purchased the vehicle. As it became more difficult to secure a new job I became nervous. My savings were dwindling and I began to collect unemployment. After I received my first unemployment check in July of '08 shortly there after I received a late payment statement. Which I was totally confused by since Chase took out the payments directly from my bank account. (Which I had numerous problems due to over charges etc because of unauthorized withdrawls from Chase). Think I got that money back?! This company totally disregarded the fact that I had to live as well! When I called in to rectify the situation I was told that nothing could be done until I paid my late balance. When I explained that I hadn't been late I was bombarded with rude allegations which ended in me being disrespected and the situation not being resolved. After that initial conversation we were harassed daily with phone calls from Chase. On one incident my father picked up the phone and he is the co-signer on the loan and was told by a Chase rep that if you couldn't afford to by this car, you should've left it at the lot. What kind of customer service is that? I've spent more time talking to customer service reps at Chase this year than anyone else and at no resolve for me. They said that I had missed my first payment on 8/30/07. I got the car in August! From 8/07-7/08 I didn't receive any late fee statements or on the regular mail in statements it said nothing in the past due category. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! So basically with a $504.95 payment with late fees attached for almost 12 months...you do the math! They wanted me to pay a ridiculous amount of money due to their mistake on top of my car payment that was already due for that month. Unemployed, on unemployment and rent, food, etc. to buy that couldn't happen. They wouldn't negotiate only belittle. They ended up repo'n my car at one of the worst days possible. Even after payments were still being made. Now they're talking about putting a lien on a house that my single dad has had for the past 20 years. The financial and emotional distress that this has caused is overwhelming. Which doesn't matter to the big wigs...they sold my car back for only $6,700! A 2005 Jetta with under 60,000 miles! Which brings me to owing Chase $17,000! Yeah I got taken for a loop. As long as the CEO can take their trips to Saint Tropez to drink exotic drinks and piss on the little people. Welcome to America land of the free as long as you don't make a deal with the devil Chase Manhattan.

As with many Americans, I lost my job, got behind on my car note. I'm now 1 month behind, and incurring late charges which change daily. What was a $560 payment is now $730. When I tried to discuss the issue with Chase, they have the most disrespectful employees. I also get on the average of one phone call every 45 minutes from Chase on my caller ID. Consequence: Mental anguish. When you do speak with them, they are belittling. Ask for a Supervisor and told no - I didn't have a significant reason.

I lived in Alabama when my husband left me. I have no family there. He took me to Alabama where I knew no one and left me there alone. I tried to do my best in paying my bills and raising my daughter and my son that had just started college. And I was just getting in a deeper and deeper hole. What my soon to be ex-husband only sent me an equivalent of about 100 a month. I got behind on my truck payment as a lot of other bills. I would get harassing calls by Terry at least 3 to 4 times a month. She left me a message that if I didn't call her back before the end of the day that I better believe that I will be sorry. When I got back late at night from work and heard the message I called her right away. By then she was gone for the day and I was so stressed I thought they were going to come take my truck. Every 20 min I would look outside to see if my truck was still there.

After that I has so much trouble sleeping. I got to a point where I just had to leave and go back to California where all my family was because I couldn't afford to support myself and my child. I had to start not paying other bills so I would be able to pay my truck (I would have given the truck up) but that was the only reliable mode of transportation to and from work. On top of that I had to overdraft my bank so I can be able to do the drive to California. Once I got to California. My brother took me in and the harassing calls started there. (I am one month behind on my payment) I was told that since I am with my brother and I don’t have to pay any bills, that there was no reason I can't pay my truck payment. How does she know I have no other bills to pay? And it took me a week after I came when I started working. I also have all the bills I left behind, that I have to pay.

Terry is a very mean lady. I feel she enjoys her job very much. This past month I have been making my payments still one month late but when I call to make a payment she always makes me cry and distressed. And when I ask to speak to her supervisor, he always defends her and yells at me then he hangs up on me. I know that I am at fault here for paying my bill late. But there are other ways of collecting money from people. And ways on not treating them like dogs. Terry constantly harasses me and yells at me over the phone. It has got to the point that I have had my sister call to make a payment for me. But she got it really bad too. So I can't do that anymore.

I come from a company that considers customer service their highest priority. It amazes me that such a big company can get away with this kind of harassment. I have tried to call and ask for the supervisors, supervisor but for some reason they say he has no voice mail and he is never in. I am making my payment today, so I can be caught up. After this I was going to do a direct withdrawal so they can take it out of my back account so I wouldn't have to deal with them anymore. But I think I was lead to this website and saw all the complaints.

Now I am scared to do a direct withdrawal with them... who know what will happen then. I don't know if there is a case for this, but this lady Terry and her supervisor have made me gone through so much stress with this truck that my hair has been falling. I guess I can thank them for losing 20 lbs. it never seems to fail that when I call to make a payment she always makes me cry and distraught. I am in constant fear that my only means of transportation will be taken from me.

I want to add to my complaint about Chase Auto Finance from yesterday. I would like to add that my loan started out at $9995 for a 2004 Hyundai Accent. When I called a month ago to find out my pay-off balance, it was almost $12,000!!! They said due to late payments and a deferrment, they were able to incur more charges against me. They also said the initial loan was for $8300, which is not what my paperwork stated. They sent me a letter via courier yesterday which stated i needed to contact a representative upon receipt of the letter. The letter said to contact at the number listed below. There was no number listed anywhere on the letter. For them to have sent a letter requesting contact without giving the number they said was at the bottom and the fact that they don't even show the proper amount for the loan, is ridiculous! When I asked them why they showed a different loan amount and that would mean they added more to the loan if the amount they had was correct, they just said it was my fault for not having the right paperwork and they were fully within their rights to raise the amount of the pay-off. This is not the first car I have financed, but it will definitely be the last I ever do with Chase. They never seem to know anything except the company line of It's not our fault.

She then said they would be more than happy to write another loan for the remaining amount. So I asked to get a full explanation regarding this additional amount then I would look at this and decide what to do. NEVER received anything but nasty calls each time explaining the situation. So I did refinance this amount after the repo threat. I paid this in full writing and writing for an explanation and here I am 2 years later with no answers! I called back later that night and spoke with Michelle another representative whom I had dealt with for about a year. I spoke to her and was in the process of arranging a payment date for the past due month plus the current month, when Jonathan asked her to speak to me. He got on the phone and was extremely rude to me, telling me he had began process for repossession of my vehicle due to non payment. I explained to him that I only get paid once a month and was making arrangements with Michelle to pay on 12/19/08 for both payments. I asked Jonathan if he could wait until then and he flat out told me he was refusing this payment arrangements and was proceding with the repossession. He actually told me I was hiding the vehicle and did not believe I would make this payment and would do what other he has been dealing with would do, which is pull a fast on on him and hide the vehicle for months. He was not taking that chance with me and he was repossessing my car. I could not be driving around in the car for free. I told him I was trying to work out an arrangement and once again he said he was refusing this payment arrangement. I said to Janathan, "you are refusing it or the company is" He told me he was, before I took off with the car and hid it. I told him he had no right to be accusing me of something I had not done yet and he was treating me like I had already committed a crime. I then told him because of the way he was speaking to me I would record the conversation. Jonathan then said to go ahead and record it, take it to your attorney, do whatever you want with it I am still repossessing the car. If you want I can even send you the tape of this conversation as I am also recording it. I then asked Jonathan for me to be transferred to a supervisor. He proceeded to tell me I did not want to speak to his supervisor because it would be worse for me. Once he transferred me to his supervisior she would only confirm that my car would be repossessed. I continued to ask for a supervisor so that I can make my payment arrangement and once again he refused to accept this arrangement. He said ok let me transfer you over to my supervisor. Once I was transferred Najar was her name and she just went on to ask me where the vehicle was located. I told her they had the information on file. Her response was "so you are refusing to tell us the location of the vehicle?". I told I was not refusing but simply trying to work out a date to make my payment. She kept asking for the location of the vehicle and I answered her you have the information. ONce again she said ok you are still refusing to give me the location. I responded no I am not refusing and proceeded to provider the information. I also told her that I would be able to make a payment on 12/19/08. Her answer was simply "I am approving this repossession make sure you remove your personal belongings out of the vehicle because we will be picking it up. I still kept trying to make a payment arrangement with her and she just told me she did not want to hear it. The repossession had been approved and they would be picking it up from my place. I was so distraught that I could not get one word with this woman I just hang up. She called me back and left me a message on my cell phone telling me since I had hung she was definately picking up my car. I called back and spoke with Michelle to see if there was anything she could do for me. Michelle said it was out of her hands as much as she had wanted to help me out, for me to call and speak to Jonathan to see if maybe he would change his mind in proceeding with the repossession. She then transferred me over to Jonathan's extension and I left him a message to please call me so I can arrange some type of payment. That I was not neglecting to make the payment I just needed a few more days to make the payment. I never received a call back from him. I did records the phone conversations that took place with Jonathan and have also saved the messages he left on my cell phone threatening to repossess the car every single time he called me in a very rude way.

Then he says you should be a responsible adult and keep up with my account. I of course ask to speak to his manager but first he asks if he can deduct the amount I was past due. I let him deduct that since I owe it. The next person was seemingly understanding. He tells me that it was a refresh in THEIR system. He also states that he will deduct my late fee. The next bill I get of course reflects the payment I gave permission to take out but the late fee is still there ! I call and email and they state it is now NOT THEIR FAULT. And I still owe it. This is a scam company now. I will close my account. Is there any recourse? What can we do? They want bailout money and this is how we're treated? THIS IS BS !!! I'm waiting for the next payment due. On 9/03/08 Chase debited an account twice when only one pmt was authorized! They won't look at my proof of pmts yet say I'm 6 months behind! My Husband took video of BOTH our home and cell phones whereas Chase called me back and forth numerous times on both within like a 10 minute time frame. I can't afford an attorney as I have now lost my job. So an angel in the Nevada Supreme Court advised me to file a motion on an illegal towing. I have court on 12/08/08 and plan on providing my PROOF and I hope Chase gets a strong reprimand for the trouble and heartache they caused me and my family. Seems as though they have NO morals or values behind how they represent their company. I've had a Chase Visa for about 6 years now and never had a situation even close to this. I took $10,000 out of my retirement to put down on this truck as a gift for my Husband and also installed the stereo system he wanted which in itself was right at $3,000. I have a remote start alarm on the truck so I am guessing the towing company broke it to be able to tow the vehicle. When I read the other Consumer Affairs complaints so many were so similar to mine, I just had to respond.

My auto loan is through Chase bank. Each month I go online to pay the bill (a transaction they charge $10 for by the way, in this day and age, who does that?!). In November, their system messed up and docked my payment three times out of my bank account, leaving me pretty broke going in to Thanksgiving.
I called Chase to settle the dispute. Each account rep as I got passed around the phone tree could see the duplicate transactions and understood my concern and surely it was computer error because you aren't allowed to make even 2 payments in a day let alone 3 with in seconds of eachother. Once I finally got to their claims department they wanted documentation that the bill had been paid, statements from my bank etc. they were totally unhelpful and denied any wrong doing or computer error; even though every lower level employee could clearly see that they had been paid when they looked at my account. I turned to my personal bank, Bank of America, for the muscle to help with my claim. Very quickly I had filed two claims against the duplicated charges. With in a week the money was credited to my account. However, this was not the end. It is now two days later, I checked my account balance, and low and behold... a new un-authorized debit had been made by Chase, taking back the money that had been credited to my account! I'm currently on the phone to Bank of America yet again to settle the dispute.

My husband co-signed on an auto loan with my son for a car. The payments were set up using an auto-deduct from my sons checking account. This worked for the most part until my son no longer had a job and his savings ran out. We called and scheduled 2 payments to be put at the end of the loan so that he could re establish employment and start making the payments again. This is when all the trouble started with them. He got a job and thought the auto payments would re-start after 2 skipped payments. But they did not set it back up. So the calls, and calls started. Finally, they set it back up to be auto withdrawn from his checking. But then there was that missed payment. He told them to deduct an additional payment and make his account current. Doesn't seem like that would be a problem. Well its been 11 months and we can't count how many collection reps we have talked to. They are rude, hang up on you, pretend they are very experienced until you gain their trust, then simply aren't on the line anymore to resolve the problem. Every month we tell them to go ahead and deduct the payment. Since this has happened the auto deduct payments have been made on the 3rd of each month and they keep saying that his bank returns the payments. I have faxed bank statements showing no attempts of additional funds have been taken and that the funds are there. They have an internal problem of communication. No-one knows what the last rep did, or how many times they have called or talked to you, the record of conversations must not be recorded or kept until they get their way. In the meantime, late charges keep appearing every month and we keep arguing that we are current except for an April payment that we have authorized to be paid. The collection department can not authorize the removal of late fees, which I think is ludicrous, and we are told to call customer service to remedy those. However, they just can't seem to get the extra payment processed. When asking to speak to a supervisor, they either hang up on you or say no one is available. They always say that the current month is past due, and don't even know or realize that the account is set up on auto pay. If us faxing the information and requesting it monthly to be done and they just don't get it. I am almost ready to reccomend to my son to go out and trade this vehicle in (which is perfectly good) and get rid of Chase. They are the worst we have ever had to deal with and I don't know how to resolve this and get those late payment charges adjusted from the account. I am a bookeper and deal with a lot of financing and arrangements and have never had to deal with such inedptness as these employees of Chase offer. Also, on another note, my husband co-signed for him because we were told that if he made his payments on time for 6-12 months, he could re-finance on his own, therefore the auto payments did that and established a good payment history, but when we asked at 6 months and 12 months, he was turned down, saying they don't re-finance their loans. Stuck with Chase for now.

I purchased a 2006 Aston Martin thru Chase Auto and after becoming very ill and my husband loosing his job I immediately called Chase to make arrangements to turn in my vehicle as I was afraid I could no longer afford my $1500 month car payment. I was being proactive and called before I ever missed a payment, however I was told they did not want the car and I should just keep it and try to sell it myself. I was very shocked as I tried to explain I rather surrender the vehicle voluntarily than have it repossed. But they would not accept the vehicle. So I attempted to sell the vehicle but feel 2 months behind. I got a call from Elizabeth in Collections and she said if I made one payment to bring me current she would apply the other month to the end of my loan and the next payment wouldn't be due for 45 days. She also stated that I would be pulled out of collections and it would not be reported to my credit. So I gathered the money together and paid Chase in full over the phone.
A few days later Chase repossed my vehicle!!!!!!!

I purchased a 2007 Subaru Forester last year. I was making good money at the time; however because of several medical problems and surgery, I got behind on my bills. Chase did help me with two payments by putting them at the end of my loan. However, when I asked them to please let me refinance, I was told that the loan was too new and that they could not help me but to ask again in six months. I need the help now, not in six months. Also, one of my payments that I sent on time was put towards the principal and not as my payment. So I received several calls on this before it was rectified. I receive calls at least six or seven times a day, and if I am not home sometimes some very rude messages are left on my machine. I am threatened with repo. When I call Chase, I never speak to the same person and no one seems to know what was done with any of the other reps. Why don't they have this information before them before they make harassing calls. I fully intend to make my payments and get my finances back in order but Chase will not listen.

I went to Mercedes Benz of Wilmington DE on 9/22/06. We went to hopes to trade my car in in which I only had 2 years left on my note. I traded into a 2007 GL450 that made my car note go from $800 with Mercedes Benz to $1628 with Chase. I called the very next day to say to Stephen of Mercedes that the note was extremely too high and he told me to call him back on the next day. Which by then went beyond my 3-day return. I am now 3 months behind in my car note. I tried to call Chase to get a refinance of the loan and they stated that my DTI was not good enough to fix this. This is the same income that was used to qualify initially. I have tried calling everywhere, I even tried on numerous occasions to call Mercedes back and go there as well because I still go there for service. Bad Credit and late payments entered on my credit report.
