Best Egg has been easy to deal with. They don’t get overly involved in my history; respond quickly; and don’t pester me. When I need to talk to a real person, they are always available. We recently moved across the county and notifying lenders, insurance companies, etc was the worst part but Best Egg was one of the easiest to contact change information.

I called to speak with a representative because I was having a hard time paying my loan because of car repair problems. She was able to help me skip a payment so I could get much needed work done on my car.

This company uses classic bait and switch tactics. You give completely truthful information on income, address on line, you up load the docs they wanted etc... They run a hard credit inquiry on me, ticks my score down a point which is over 650, no negative derogatories on my credit, plenty of verifiable income via tax returns, as I am self-employed, never defaulted on a loan. They knew I was self-employed when I applied. I call them, they want my tax returns. No problem. I was told by the loan officer who had my file that my application came in as "salaried" employee and blamed it on a third party website. He said I am still good for the same deal that was offered to me upon review of the tax returns.

I took out a loan and the process was simple easy and fast. Great! Here's where it gets worse. Today is September 13th. I sent a check on August 9th and it cleared the bank on August 14th. I have been trying to get this resolved for over 2 weeks almost everyday and the best someone can tell me is that they are researching where the money was applied and that they can not apply this payment to my account until that process is done. When I asked how long the process should take, I was told 7-10 days. Keep in mind they have a copy of my check showing that it was deposited by them and cleared my bank. It has been well over 2 weeks since I started the process of trying to resolve this matter and was told yet again today that that it would take 7-10 days to resolve.

So, I filled out the application online and shortly after hitting "submit" I get a dozen or so loan offers from places, not all banks, I have never heard of before. Red flags started to pop up for me and I contacted my bank to put a stop on any transitions. I received continuous emails over the weekend, several of them harassing me to Acceptable the loan NOW!!!! When I finally blocked the email addresses and would not take the phone call, I had no clue who I would be talking with, I blocked them as well. 24 hours after submitting my loan they deleted my account and sent me one last email that stated "due to your poor credit we will not issue a loan." After some investigation I discovered this Best Egg Bank is a scam for acquiring personal information and taking money out of your account. Best Egg needs to be SHUT DOWN!!!!

Best Egg is a solution for a short-term problem and it’s not a loan shark. I heard about them from a senior friend of mine who also wanted to consolidate. If you really needed to talk to someone, the customer service center was available. The turnaround time was also favorable in all the reviews. Like many others, I have been receiving solicitations from this company for years. Obviously they had some knowledge of my credit report or they would not be sending me invitations. This is where it gets sticky. The only thing negative I had on my report was a 10 year old bankruptcy due to drop off in 2 months.
