I received a mailer from Best Egg stating that "with such great credit" I have, I would be eligible for a personal loan. So, I filled out the application online and shortly after hitting "submit" I get a dozen or so loan offers from places, not all banks, I have never heard of before. Red flags started to pop up for me and I contacted my bank to put a stop on any transitions. I received continuous emails over the weekend, several of them harassing me to Acceptable the loan NOW!!!! When I finally blocked the email addresses and would not take the phone call, I had no clue who I would be talking with, I blocked them as well. 24 hours after submitting my loan they deleted my account and sent me one last email that stated "due to your poor credit we will not issue a loan." After some investigation I discovered this Best Egg Bank is a scam for acquiring personal information and taking money out of your account. Best Egg needs to be SHUT DOWN!!!!

Best Egg is a solution for a short-term problem and it’s not a loan shark. I heard about them from a senior friend of mine who also wanted to consolidate. He told me that Best Egg would treat me right, quick and easy, and would follow through. And that is exactly what happened to me. I’m also gonna get my wife to stop and consolidate her credit card debt and do the same thing because I’m thrilled. I told her, “Don’t look at the loan cost. Do not look at the loan origination. Like many others, I have been receiving solicitations from this company for years. Obviously they had some knowledge of my credit report or they would not be sending me invitations. This is where it gets sticky. The only thing negative I had on my report was a 10 year old bankruptcy due to drop off in 2 months. Bankruptcy was due to real estate market collapse of 2008 when millions of people went bankrupt through no fault of their own. Currently, I own and manage real estate and have a good income for a single retired woman between 50 and 60000, nothing negative on my report. All payments made on time and good credit scores. After they had all of my personal information they declined me. This was purely a blessing in disguise as I almost took out a loan I would have absolutely regretted.
