The ease of applying for a loan made me choose Best Egg. You could do everything online. You could also fax your income information and everything. I got a personal loan of $8,500 to help get my bathroom remodeled and then to pay off a couple credit cards. You could pick your terms of repayment and the length of repayment. They made it very easy. You could even make additional payments online which is nice. So, I took the three years to repay it. I called them because when I faxed the documents, they wanted my income statement so I uploaded them. They kept saying there was nothing there so I thought I did something wrong. I called them and they helped me out. It took a little time to process, like an hour or so, before it showed that I faxed it properly. I just wanted to make sure I sent them everything properly but I was too quick.

I was looking for a fast place that I wasn't gonna get hit with interest. I had a settlement that I was waiting for but we needed to get some money fast to do a couple of things so I wasn't worried about the terms. I wanted to get some work done on my truck. Instead of paying for it a little at a time, I figured I'd get it done. And so, I decided to get a loan from Best Egg. The application process was easy and the annual percentage rate was okay for the $12,000 loan that they gave. However, the process took a couple of days because of my situation. Part of my money comes from the V.A. and I don't get a pay voucher for that. Furthermore, I don't keep my pay stub from the job that I have. Best Egg just told me to send them a copy of my bank statement. I did that and everything was good. Overall, working with Best egg was better than going to the dentist. It was easy and painless.

It was a very easy and pleasant experience. They had everything there on my credit report except for verification. I have already received and made a payment before the due date. They sent me a reminder about a week before the due date. Best of all, I did not have to sign 25 papers to get the loan.

If you need a loan fast, these are the guys to use. They also had the best interest rate of all I was looking at. Apparently they were having technically difficulties, so I could never get on my dashboard to see the status of the loan. The reason for the two stars is that in all the phone calls and emails they told me my loan was for $6500, but they don't give you that full amount. They have an origination fee that they are very upfront about, so I did know about it when I applied. I'm annoyed that when talking to them they make it sound like you are getting that full amount even though you know you are not. My loan for $6500 will not be deposited into my account, the amount minus the fee will be. I did not appreciate them making it sound like I was getting the full amount. If I didn't need the money fast and didn't want to pay a higher interest rate I would have gotten this loan from somewhere else.

The application process was easy, but that's not the problem. Monthly payments come out automatically. I paid a large chunk of my loan off, prior to my April 25th due date. Therefore, my account showed that my next payment wasn't due until May 25th. I paid the balance OFF on April 24th. They went ahead and took the monthly payment out also, even though I paid it off, and it showed the next payment wasn't due until May 25th. This caused my bank account to be overdrawn, and I was charged a $35 fee from my bank. When I called for my refund, the guy said that even though my online account showed that my next payment wasn't due until May 25th, the automatic withdrawal wasn't changed, so that's why it came out again. Ummm... what?! That makes no sense!

I paid off my credit cards and I made my first payment with them through automatic draft.
