I went to 4 different retail vision centers comparing styles and prices of glasses. I really wanted both glasses and sunglasses because my eyes were starting to hurt when driving long periods in the sun. Every location I went to that accepted my my vision insurance quoted roughly &350.00 out of pocket for just one pair of glasses. My last stop was Walmart. The selection of frames was amazing. I found exact what I had been looking for. When they gave me the quote I thought was a mistake. $427.00 for both pair without insurance. Both prescription.
The customer service was fantastic. The representative took time with me, she didn’t push or rush me. She was sincere and very knowledgeable. I purchased both pair. Both with progressive lenses with all the bells and whistles. They weren’t part of my vision insurance so I paid full price. Again, the full price for both was $427.00. I was able to get reimbursed from my coin insurance for $100.00. So my total out of pocket was less than one pair at other retailers. When I picked up my glasses I was So impressed! The quality of the frames and lenses was unbelievable. Again, they took time with me to ensure my satisfaction. I highly recommend Walmart Optical! I was and am very impressed with both the customer service and the quality of the glasses. I will make this my this my go to for all future vision purchases.

I stopped by the Walmart Vision at the Walmart Superstore in Fairfax VA. I had a pair of glasses with a frame that just broke and was hoping to pay for the new frame with my FEPVision. Walmart is an approved provider with NO limitations listed as to services provided. I told the service person what I wanted and that I would be using insurance. He found me a pair that he thought would work and told me to be seated while he tried installing the lenses (the frame was half rimless). He came back with the pair ready to go - although no offer was made to fit them to my face.
When I handed him my insurance card he almost took my head off saying I should have given him the card immediately - before he had started helping me. I felt the need to apologize, even though I had mentioned paying with insurance initially. He then sat down at his computer (fuming and muttering) and after a half minute showed me a print out that stated that my insurance did not cover frames only - only complete glasses. I told him that I believed he was mistaken and asked that he verify this since the "proof" he offered was at best vague. This did little to improve his disposition.
He continued muttering as he punched the keys and in a couple of minutes told me that the insurance had refused the application for insurance. His tone was scolding and irritated so again I felt I needed to apologize. He was not placated in the least. - I felt as if I was committing some fraud (and several other customers looked over wondering what I was trying to pull). I paid using my credit card and left - with a final apology.
Today I called FEPVision and confirmed that (1) I am eligible for frames every 2 years and had not purchased one within that time and (2) that they had a record that Walmart Vision had requested and received authorization to pay for the frames. I then called Walmart and after a bit of work was connected with an upper management person who told me that it was Walmart software and policy NOT to authorize sales of frames using FEPVision. He told me that if I spoke to FEPVision they would pay. I informed him that was not true and that he should know that. He then informed me that there was nothing more he could do. I told me there was more that I could do. I told him I would alert people to the fact that Walmart Vision is not interested in Service but only Sales. Mission Complete (at this site).

September 11th 2019 ordered progressive lens with transition protective scratch coating. November 3rd 2019 under 60 day refund time. Clerk looked at my lenses. The coating is coming off the Zeiss lenses. Wal-Mart will replace the lenses. After 2 weeks called no lenses. The optical manager told me just have to wait till Zeiss sends back. Jump to now 30 days. No lenses. Called store manager Collin. Said clerk forgot to send frame for lenses. Give 2 more weeks. New lenses after 2 weeks. Come in, put numbers in middle of lenses on outside so when look to side see numbers in lenses. Response was now after dragging out for over 50 days those lenses are it won't fix the problem. Be very careful with being told 1 year warranty lenses lost coating before 60 days then replaced with a worse set. Wouldn't refund my money because now dragged out past 60 days with waiting for what I paid for nothing more.

I gave Walmart my prescription a year ago, and they only gave me half of the prescription. As well as anti Fatigue lens. I was having headaches so I went to my eye doctor and it turns out it was not proper. I brought it back to Walmart and they gave me a new lens for free but claimed it was not their fault. I went to the eye doctor again today and they only gave me the other half of the prescription as well as no anti Fatigue like they stated was in there. I also had a prescription for an Astigmatism which I don't have. I now have to buy a whole new set of glasses.

This is my second pair of glasses filled by Walmart. (I did not have an eye exam, just filled prescription.) Each time they were progressive with transition lenses. I chose a reasonably priced frame. The technician took the time to properly spot the lens for ensuring a good progressive lens. The glasses were finished in less than the mentioned time. These glasses, like my previously filled rx by Walmart, are perfect in all aspects. I can say these are the best fitting glasses I’ve had in years. Since my last Walmart pair. So why am I so satisfied you might ask? If you’ve ever had a pair of poorly fitted progressive glasses that were not spotted correctly you’ll understand.
A year ago a friend of mine suggested Costco to have my prescription filled. They were focused on the price, and standard features, which are very good, I figured I would try. Big mistake! Worst progressive glasses I ever had. The technician did not take the time to spot the lens properly. Maybe it’s the way they’re trained. Walmart techs know what they’re doing. Keep up the good work! Reasonably priced, professional people, and fast service.

I got a pair of glasses from Walmart Murrieta Ca. After about 7 months the lenses of my glasses look as if someone peeled tint off a window. I went back to get them to fix the glasses. The representative wasn't very helpful. When asked about the warranty they said they are not covered. Because I used lens cleaner on them. I only clean them with the solution I was given when I purchased the pair of glasses. I said, "You’re kidding me. You sold it to me." I'm very disappointed.

I am 70 and have Aetna Medicare PPO as my supplemental insurance. Having read my Aetna 2019 book I knew I was only allowed $75 on frames. Went to Wal-Mart in Statesville, NC and was told I had an amount more than that. I only wanted polarized sunglasses and new frames. Chose a pair of RayBan glasses and just had them remove the clear lenses. Glasses arrived within a week and I was disappointed in the polarized feature; not nearly as good as my current ones! I noticed after wearing them for a few hours that my eyes began to "burn".
After paying for the glasses and a year's insurance on them for a total of $138 and no balance due....I received a bill for $62.86 more! Why? SUPPOSEDLY my insurance company did not pay as much as they had "thought" they would. I went online to view my claims history and they had not even filed a claim! I called my insurance company and this was confirmed. I'm going to pay the $62.86, but I am going to file a complaint with the N.C. Insurance Commissioner about what I consider Deceptive Practices.

I have had the same person take care of my concerns about eyeglasses I purchased (paid for by me, no insurance). She worked last night, 10-23-2019. She also took care of my same concern on a previous date. She has short reddish brown hair and wears glasses and it was around 7 p.m. last night. I am sorry I did not get her name. She came right out and accused me of bringing old frames in to get new lenses, when I clearly purchased them there! She then said they were not their frames! All because I requested the bifocal be moved up. And she is the same one who took care of me on a previous date for the same reason. There is more to describe here but I just want corporate to know. We will now see if I get a response. And I have a witness.

Got script to get new glasses after MD eye doctor provided. Picked up glasses; seeing double top half of lenses and unable to read clearly bottom of progressive lenses. Told that I need prisms and to return to eye doc for retake exam. Back to Walmart with new script, and new lenses ready and when tested seeing double again and unable to focus on reading. Was told how Walmart went out of the way to accommodate my script as I got it over 60 days after it was issued and that I need prisms and I have to get used to them, etc. Got up and walked out seeing double signs in the parking lot after having had $250 wasted on rubbish. Nasty place to be shunned by all people.

Up until this experience, I have been a consistent Walmart shopper because of low prices. At the spur of the moment, being tired of spending $400+ for frames and lenses, I decided to give Walmart Vision Center a try. So, I started by looking at frames, and they were very inexpensive compared to what I had been buying elsewhere. I had had an eye exam a few weeks earlier, and I had the prescription. I decided to order glasses. I wear trifocals. My initial contact with a Walmart Vision Center employee was a 20-something named Brandon. I immediately began to suspect that (a) he was very inexperienced (b) did not know what he was supposed to do, and (c) couldn’t care less. Fortunately, a competent coworker intervened and carefully measured the correct position of the height of the trifocal lenses. She explained to Brandon how to do this as she did it. I paid for the frames and the lenses.
A week later I got a call telling me that my glasses were ready. I went in to pick them up, and the same woman told me to put the glasses on, which I did, and lo and behold, the position of the middle-distance and reading elements of the lens were far too low to be of any use at all. The effect was that I could not read most of what was on the test card. The woman started with the assumption that the lenses were positioned as I had asked (she didn’t remember me). I told her that she had done the measurements, explained where to mark the glasses, and that they were not as she had measured. Brandon came over and explained that when he punched the order for lenses into his computer, he punched the wrong number, so that when the glasses came in the first time, the lens position was way too high, so….wait for this….he and a coworker decided to punch in a number that would lower the lens WITHOUT CONSULTING ME!
So, naturally, when the glasses came back the second time, the trifocal position was TOO LOW!! Brandon did not care. He didn’t think he had done anything wrong. He just walked away. The woman offered to do the measurements all over again, and to send the glasses back. In my experience, when something starts out screwed up, everything that follows will be unacceptable. So, I requested a refund, which she promptly agreed to give me. Then arose a problem: Walmart’s credit card reader would not accept a refund transaction. A manager had to be called.
A few minutes later, the manager—supposedly the assistant manager of the entire store—came over, tried to do the refund transaction on the card reader, and failed—and left to get cash to give me. He did not make eye contact with me, did not express regret. He seemed quite annoyed to be inconvenienced. Will I ever go to a Walmart Vision Center again? Heck no. In fact, I have crossed the threshold of a Walmart store, for any purpose, for the final time.

Took my new prescription to Walmart Optical Centre. Picked out frames and ordered my glasses. They came quickly but vision was blurred. They told me it was my brain and I need time to adjust. I had worn glasses for 40+ years and have never had this kind of experience. They also said they had a new lens lab. I believe the problem is their new lab... not my brain! Go elsewhere to get your glasses.

Walmart in Gibsonton Florida. I am beyond happy! All I needed was to buy a new lens for one that had cracked. I ended up buying the cutest, newest, set of frames for only $17.00 and each new lense was only $44.00 each. They clean and adjusted my old glasses, and put new eye/nose pads on. It was quick easy and affordable. I just came back from picking up my new glasses and I love them. Again, they cleaned all my glasses, adjusted them in more ways than I have ever had offered to me. They gave me an 2 cases, lots of disposable lens wipes, and the cloth to shine them. I did not know where to go and my son told me that everyone at his job loves coming here for their vision needs. Even when I called to see if my glasses were ready, the woman was so professional, polite, well spoken and kind. I am sold! Once I get more money I will be back to buy another more current set of frames and lenses. Thank you!

I had eye exam at Walmart in Chicago on North Avenue and picked out a pair of glasses and 3 days later received a call that I could pick up my glasses. I tried them on and they felt loose and I told the worker that the frame was bent and she tried explaining that it was because of my prescription and I told her I didn’t believe that. She again took my glasses back to adjust them and I wanted to do shopping inside of store and the minute I walked away and held my head down toward the floor my glasses fell off and a lady picked them up off the floor..
I returned back to the Vision Center and I approached the doctor and showed him my crooked new eyeglasses I just picked up 20 minutes ago but he had no interest and directed me to his staff, the same staff that obviously bent my eyeglasses. I would never returned there or recommend that Vision Center. Very unprofessional. No one seemed concerned and no one took responsibility for my bent frames and they constantly are falling off my face.

Bought 2 pair of glasses, one for my wife and one for my son, both glasses are bad, both are making noise like the lenses is about to fall off. When we brought the glasses back my wife was told hers would be fix in a few days but when we got them back the frame was full of glue that my wife cleaned because she was too upset to go back. Now a week later the glasses seem worse. As for my son's glasses they told us that because it is a plastic frame he has to live with it. We believe we were going to save money, NOT WORTH IT.

Recently went in for eye exam at Kenosha Walmart optical. The associate could not find my appointment in the system and her demeanor turned rude and disgruntled. Another staff rushed me in and botched two rounds of eye tests and was also rude and unprofessional. I stated over and over that I had made an appointment a week ago. Worst experience ever as I was waiting for the doctor. I felt highly uncomfortable and wanted to run out!! A patient witnessed the abuse I was receiving from both Walmart staff. I stated to the other patient in the waiting room that I would not return to Walmart. She agreed and said the customer service at the Kenosha Walmart only has gotten worse. When I was told I would be needing new glasses because my old glasses were too old and flimsy to put new lenses into, I was hesitant to try Walmart Vision Center. I was afraid that Walmart glasses were cheap and not made well, but boy, was I wrong. I first went to LensCrafters and had a terrible experience there. I bought glasses from Lens Crafters that were over $500, but just kept having problem after problem with them, I ended up returning them. I then went to the Walmart Vision Center in Eldersburg, MD and had an amazing experience.
There were not as many options of glasses in the Walmart Vision Center as there were in Lens Crafters, but I did find several frames that I liked, and then found two that I really loved. I picked one that I loved, and the glasses came in four days before their expected date, which was awesome. The glasses feel great and do not feel cheap. My prescription is -8.75 and -9.75 so I am used to spending a decent amount of money on lenses to make sure they are high index and as thin as possible, but these glasses were only around $250. They are much cuter and better quality than the glasses from Lens Crafters, I am very impressed. The employee who sold me the glasses and the employee who fitted the glasses on me once they came in were both so nice and professional. I do believe that the employees I met knew exactly what they were doing, and they did a great job to satisfy me.

When it comes to quality lenses this is not the place you want to go. They say if you are not happy you can be reimbursed but they will fight you tooth and nail about doing it. They will find every excuse in the book as to why their high definition lenses aren't letting you see correctly, from "it's the shape of your new frames" to "well, your prescription has been upped by your doctor so that's why you can't see clearly"... Yes, seriously, it's almost comical. Save yourself the aggravation and realize that Walmart is subpar in all they sell when it comes to quality and workmanship and their eyeglasses are no exception.

I ordered glasses recently from Walmart and noticed there are very visible circles with numbers on the sides of the lenses. The optical associate said that “everyone” has these on their glasses but I’m just “more bothered by it than most.” I looked at my older glasses and they definitely do not have this issue. The etchings cause halos when I look in the rear view mirror and is extremely distracting. In addition, the nose pads became green inside where the metal is within about 3 weeks. When I took them in, the associate told me “it’s because of sweat.” None of my glasses have ever had these issues. And I have certainly not started to suddenly sweat profusely. This is the last pair of glasses I’ll ever get from Walmart.

I had my eyes examined by an ophthalmologist and there was a slight change in my left eye. Eye health was good. I took the prescription to the Walmart Vision center and picked out some frames. The woman waiting on me was quite pleasant as she transcribed the information into the computer. I paid and 4 days later was called saying my glasses were ready. A different associate waited on me and when I put on the new glasses I saw two of everything. The woman told me to close one eye and see if things were clear and repeated for the other eye. Things were ok one eye at a time but the minute I opened both eyes it was two of everything. The woman said that my eyes were used to my old glasses so I should not put the new glasses on until I woke the next day. My eyes would then adjust to the new lenses.
As my eyes were trying to adjust the next day, I noticed that with one eye at a time there was only one spot in the lens where things were clear. Things were blurry when looking through other areas of the lenses. After two hours I had a headache so put on my old glasses and returned to the store. They didn't really want to send them back except for the focusing problem. A week later I was called again. Glasses ready. Once again I saw two of everything but the focus issue had been fixed. I took the new glasses to my eye doctor and the prescription was correct except they added prism to the left lens which was not on the prescription. Back to Walmart. A new associate came out with the last one I spoke with. Right away she said that there was nothing they could do because the lenses were correct. Her tone was a bit nasty so I told her that prism had been added which was not on the prescription.
The man associate took them into their lab to check them. He came out with the new glasses with a few dots on the right lens. He had me put them on to see where my pupils lined up so they could move the prism to the right spot. I again told him that prism was not on the prescription so do not put it there. He said ok and when they come back all will be good. So I wait hoping they get it right this time. If not I'll ask for my money back and get them made elsewhere.

Please read the reviews before going to get glasses or contacts at this store. I went in to report a defect in the lens of my glasses, which I purchased in 2017. One lens had a blotch which looked like condensation, so the associate looked at it and went on the computer and curtly answered, "You must have gotten water in it. You need an eye exam because it's after two years. Have a nice day." I was flawed and felt totally dismissed. I went to Cohen's Optical and the associate immediately said "Let me see what's going on here." She popped the lens and we saw the the lens was peeling. The doctor came out and looked and said that it has nothing to do with moisture, it's a defect in the lens. The associate at Walmart couldn't be bothered to take the extra step. These people do not know what to do if they are challenged with a question or problem that's not in their scripts.
I was not looking to get reimbursed or make a problem, I just wanted to replace the lens until I could get a new pair, and I was willing to pay cash. I do think that the lens manufacturer should be informed of this problem so no one else goes through this. The associates at Walmart Optical are poorly trained and have no respect or regard for the customer. I know their glasses are cheap, but you get what you pay for! Sometimes cheap equates to inferior products and customer service, and in this case it did. When I called the manager, it seemed that the associate covered her tracks by saying she popped the lens and looked at it closely. That was a lie and just me more intent on exposing the poor service from this location.

I do not have vision insurance, so it took me a couple months to save the money for the frames and new lenses.
Once I got them I was unhappy with them (not the frames, the lenses). I mentioned this to one of the women that works there. I wasn't able to see as well in the new lenses as my old ones. She said to give it a couple of weeks and see if my vision adjusted. I did this and it didn't get any better, so I went back. The same woman told me that because I waited a couple of months AFTER having my eyes checked to get my glasses that my vision probably changed in that amount of time and that was why I couldn't see well out of the lenses. I went there for a contact lens exam to hopefully get a pair of trial lenses until the lenses I had on order came in. Paid the extra money for the CLE out of pocket because my insurance did not cover it. While I was there I asked for a copy of my RX. The optometrist wrote it up on the spot. Then the optician in charge of helping me said I was covered for a pair of basic glasses. So I found a pair I 80% liked (the selection isn't great there) and the lady went on and about how that frame is going to make my lenses look too thick, kept shoving a different pair in my face and telling me these looked better. She was being rude and pushy so I decided to just get them so I could get out of there before I told her off.
So I wait the two weeks. The paper they came with has a completely different RX on it. My PD is wrong in the left lens and I feel like I'm in a fish bowl when wearing them and the temples flex outwards when they are on my face meaning my eye size on the frame is too small. Oh and did I mention these glasses make me look like a serial killer? Thanks Laurie **. I hope one day you find a job that you're competent at because customer service and your ability to find frames that look good AND fit your customer sucks.

I went into Walmart Vision in Suisun Ca Feb 6, 2019. What started out as a wonderful experience ended up a huge disappointment. Once I picked out two pair of glasses went to the register to use my Care Credit card and the strip was demagnetized. I asked the clerk could she put the card in manually and she said they are not allowed to do that.
I called Care Credit from the store (because the clerk would not) and Care Credit gave her a 1800 number to Provider Service to walk her through how to process. She would not call the number instead she said she would talk to her supervisor in the morning. I called the supervisor this morning and Care Credit, and the supervisor said it is not they don't know how to put the card in manually but Walmart would fire them if they put the card in manually. Needless to say, I am very disappointed that they would not even call provider service. Poor service.

I called ahead to make an appointment to get an eye exam for contact lenses at the location in North Bergen, NJ. I was told to come at 5pm and that it was a walk-in. I arrived at 4:50pm. Around 5pm, a staff member said that I came too late because the optometrist wanted to leave at 5pm. She added that I should’ve called prior to coming. I told her that I did call and was told to come in at 5pm. At that point, another staff member said, “she did call and we did tell her to come at 5. The doctor just doesn’t want to see her.” I didn’t bother arguing. Even if the doctor saw me, I really didn’t want someone who did not want to see me (and upset) examining my eyes. Very disappointed.

When I tried my new glasses on at the Walmart Vision Center on Hamilton Church Rd in Antioch, TN I was unable to read with with them. The lenses did not have my bifocals prescription. They had to be sent back. Another 2 week wait. This time the glasses Seemed to be fine, but I was unable to Clean them. I used the wet lens cleaner and the dry. Nothing worked. They always seemed dirty. By the time 3 months had rolled around I was unable see with them. I had to start using my old glasses I had had for 3 years. I was told that there was a 1 year warranty when I bought these glasses. But when I took them back to the store I was told that was just for the frames. So I am out almost $400.00.
I had to have new glasses so I went to another vision center and explain what happened at Walmart Vision Center. They took a look at the glasses that Walmart wouldn't stand by and explained to me that the scratch resistant film that they put on the lenses had not been put on correctly. That is why I couldn't seem to get them clean. This film was tearing and rolling up. So after 3 months of wear they were useless.
I returned to the Walmart Vision Center and told the girl there what the other vision center had told me. She didn't look at them. She just went to her computer. She told me she was unable to do anything about it as there was only a 60 day warranty in the lenses. Even when this is faulty workmanship? I asked, she just shrugged her shoulders. Again, I'm out $400.00. I had to pay another $350.00 to get another pair from a different company. I will pick them up today. Hopefully they will better than the ones I got at Walmart.

Needed a cheap replacement pair of glasses to hold me over until I could afford to get a better pair so I attempted the Walmart Vision Center in Cambridge, MD. Should have just dished out the cash and gone somewhere else to begin with... My prescription had expired so they wouldn't accept it without an exam. Doctor is only available 2 days a week, Wed and Thurs, so unless you're unemployed it's inconvenient to begin with. I told him I only use my glasses for seeing distance while driving or night vision, and somehow this translated to "my eyes aren't focusing correctly" so he's the first doctor in 32 years to tell me I have astigmatism, a developing lazy eye, my eyes are misaligned, and I need to start wearing prism glasses full time to correct it. I assumed he knew what he was talking about (he did not...).
The staff was rude and nasty and couldn't wait to get me out after I chose frames. The only positive thing I can say is the glasses were completed pretty timely, about 5 days. Once I picked them up and tried them on, I knew immediately they were wrong, I couldn't see. The optician said it was the prism and that I "had to get used to it", and to give it 2 weeks to adjust. I've been wearing glasses my entire life, and never before had anyone said I needed to give them time to adjust. I brought them back the next day and demanded they be redone without the prism.
The doctor and center manager fought it, saying it's to correct my eyes, but eventually they caved. The second pair had no prism but the distance vision was still off, the ENTIRE reason I needed them, and still they told me my eyes would adjust. No, they won't, and you'll give me my money back. I scheduled a second opinion at a more reputable eye doctor who basically said no, my eyes are fine, and the prescription strength was even too strong. TL;DR- Doctor was a joke and pushed something I DID NOT need to correct a vision issue I DID NOT have. Spend a little more money to go somewhere else.

I went to get new frames but was told it was not cover under my insurance after I called and was told I could Come pick out a pair of frames. No one helped me or directed me where to look but was told frames start off at 9-150.
After I couldn’t find frames I liked with little help, I then asked for my prescription and told I couldn’t be provided with one until the doctor was and they were not allowed to print it out for. We told her my daughter was unable to play until we received these and only purchased them because we were told they would arrive by the 28th. We paid full price for the sport goggles and lenses and did not use insurance. Nikki was informed that my child was benched until these were received. I also complained about the delay.
I asked Nikki when they would be in and she was unable to give me an answer and simply said, “You will have to wait a few more days.” Nikki said that I could return them for a full refund at any time. The most unhelpful and worst customer service we have ever had to deal with. I then called the corporate 1-800 number to inquire about when the glasses would be in and I was informed someone would call me back in 1-3 days. They adjusted the glasses and the person told me they had a one year warranty if I had any issues to come back in. I put them on and the frame no longer touched my nose but it raised the bifocal line. I put them on the other day because the lens fell out of my original pair. After having them on for an hour they gave me a headache because the bifocal is too high.
I went back to the Walmart vision center where I purchased them at. They more or less told me they could do nothing but replace the lenses and that would cost me another 57 dollars because the lenses only have a 60 day warranty. I am a disable military veteran on a fixed income. If they had told me that at the time of purchase I would have worn them and known sooner that I had an issue with the glasses. It would have been nice if he had told me that lenses were only warrantied for 60 days instead of misleading me to think they were for a year. You have to wash them with mild dish soap and warm water if you don't want them scratching. But when I had a different pair with a different place I could use my shirt to get the dust off my lens without it scratching.
It's just a scam going after people with no insurance. You think you're getting a deal but you're most certainly are not. I also went all out when I got them. They cost me about 350. I've had them for about 5, 6 months maybe so I'll be wanting to get them replaced or repaired and then I still want the warranty for a full year because I live 50 miles away and this is a horrible inconvenience for me. They did beat the price by $100.00. All the same the frames had loose screws when I left the store. The lenses scratch way too easy even with the scratch resistant lens. Now for the lenses. I ordered progressive lenses which I am very used to. There was a slight change in my prescription. The minute I put these glasses on and tried to read or use for midvision everything was blurry. The technician adjusted the frame several times. It helped a little. He said if I get another eye exam they will change the lenses for free if the prescription changes. So now I have to pay for another eye exam, see if the glasses are correctly made and if not probably go somewhere else to have them made where I can get the right frame and prescription. He tried pushing a contact prescription and contact lens package on me, even though I repeatedly told him I wasn’t interested and needed glasses to give my eyes a break. When the exam was over he had me go to the desk to check out and I asked for the prescription to be wrote down so I could get glasses. In January of last year (2017), I received a notice from the Walmart Vision Center in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, saying that I was due for my periodic eye examination. In February of last year, I called the Vision Center to set-up an appointment with their optometrist. During the examination, I was given a new prescription, and I was told that I needed surgery in both of my eyes. I asked the optometrist if he could recommend a surgeon, and he did.
Immediately after the examination, I ordered two new pairs of glasses from the Vision Center (for a total of $884.10). I also had a technician replace a missing rim screw for my old glasses. I ordered the new glasses at that time, because I did NOT know that my prescription would change as a result of the surgeries. And no one at the Vision Center advised me about that. If I had been advised that my prescription would change as a result of the surgeries, I would have ordered the new glasses AFTER the surgeries. (I was NOT having any significant vision problems with my old glasses).
In June of last year, after both surgeries had been completed, the surgeon gave me a new prescription. A few days later, I called the Vision Center. I explained the situation to them, and I requested that they replace my lenses at no cost to me. They refused to do so. As a result, I went to another store and bought two more new pairs of glasses. In November of last year, I sent a complaint to the Better Business Bureau regarding this matter. In response to my complaint, the Vision Center made a FALSE statement to the Better Business Bureau. That is, the Vision Center stated that I demanded that the doctor give me a new prescription because my old glasses were broken.
That statement is false for two reasons: #1: I did NOT “demand” that the doctor give me a new prescription. The doctor gave me a new prescription because I was due for my periodic eye examination. #2: My old glasses were NOT broken. My old glasses had a missing rim screw. And when the technician replaced the missing rim screw, I was able to wear my old glasses with no problem. The Vision Center also stated to the Better Business Bureau that they would be willing to remake my glasses with my new prescription.
My response to that statement was as follows: #1: It would NOT make sense for the Vision Center to remake my glasses NOW, because I already bought two more new pairs of glasses at another store. #2: I made the following request: - For my NEXT prescription (a few years from now), the Vision Center will make TWO pairs of glasses for me at NO cost to me. - The Vision Center will make that promise in writing with no expiration date on that promise.
The Vision Center ignored my request, and the Better Business Bureau closed the case. Before the case was closed, I presented evidence (i.e., four photos) to the Better Business Bureau that contradicted the Vision Center’s false claim that my old glasses were broken. That evidence was ignored. Bottom line: Because the Vision Center did not have the courtesy to advise me regarding the effects of the surgeries, I spent nearly $900 on two pairs of glasses that I was only able to wear for four months. I was a loyal customer to the Walmart Vision Center for a number of years, but they were unwilling to correct a problem that they caused for me because they failed to give me advice that they should have given me.

Took back and was told they’d send to a DIFFERENT lab BUT I explained they’d had 2 attempts and since they weren’t able to get glasses right I wanted a refund to go somewhere else as I needed my glasses!!
Next day took them back for a refund. I explained that since I paid in cash I should receive cash!! Their reply: No. They would have to send a check in 2 to 3 weeks!?!? Expressed they should give me cash as I had paid cash!! Was told no at first BUT I went back several times insisting they should refund the same way I paid, minus the insurance part. They FINALLY did. During this whole terrible ordeal I tried to remain calm & not get my blood pressure up as I’ve had 2 mini strokes from stress, and, I surely wasn’t gonna let this happen... If you want rude service & defective glasses go to West Columbia SC Vision Ctr.

I get off work early in order to drive the hour to the "most convenient" to my home. I get there a little before 5 and was told the licensed person I needed had gone for the day and it would be Friday before they would return. There is NOTHING posted with this info, nor when I called was this info offered.
I asked what is the point of being open if no one could assist. I was told that is when they do their paperwork and take calls. REALLY!!!! TOTALLY false advertisement. No reason to go back to that one. I did go to Walmart in FT. Oglethorpe. Within 20 minutes, I had EXCELLENT service. Order placed. RUSH put on my order. They said they sent them out to remake the lens. They never did and called they were done. Went to pick up glasses, nothing had been done and they unscrewed the lens that did not need fixing. That was done to make it look as if they had the lens remade. Picked them up. Attempted to wear them. Horrid vision from the right lens. Next day took them back for a refund.
I had paid in cash so should have received cash back. No they are sending a check in 2 to 3 weeks, long time when you paid in cash. Asked if they could give me cash like I had paid. They called the police on me. No joke. I never yelled or anything. Was calm doing whole interaction. I have been a Walmart Vision Center customer for around 20 years. In that time I have gotten both glasses and contact lenses from three different Walmart Vision Centers. When it was time for me to get my most recent set of glasses, almost 2 years ago now, I went to the Coal Twp. Walmart Vision Center #2481. I had an eye exam and ordered my glasses as usual. The fit was good and the prescription worked for me to see clearly. As has been my habit, I always clean my glasses only with Walmart's cleaning solution and cleaning cloth. Despite this, after about 6 months of normal wear, the lenses began scratch severely - to the point of making normal vision impossible (even with the scratch resistance coating on them). I took them back to the Vision Center and they were willing to replace them for me. It took about a week of wearing my old prescription glasses until the replacement lenses were in. I thought the problem was fixed.
Another 6 months or so later, and I'm bringing severely scratched lenses back to Walmart Vision center again. Another week of wearing old prescription glasses and another week of waiting for the problem to be fixed. A week, ago, I made my 3rd trip into Walmart's Vision Center to have severely scratched lenses replaced. At first, I was told that the glasses were more than a year old and that the warranty was expired. I pointed out that the lenses were less than a year old and a defective product. The Coal Twp. Vision Center manager offered to replace the lenses one more time. This time she "suddenly realized" that the problem all along was that the anti-glare coating on the lenses was defective - probably the same problem as the 3 previous times I brought severely scratched lenses in. She assured me she would put the order through without the anti-glare coating and that should solve the problem.
It's been a week of wearing a now 5 year old prescription in my old, now broken frames; a week of distorted vision and the dizziness that includes. I called to see if my lenses were in. I was told they were. But, before I could leave to get to the Vision Center to get this 4th set of lenses for these glasses, the Vision Center manager called back to say that the lab had made the new lenses wrong and now I will have to wait another week for the problem to be corrected! This is NOT acceptable quality. This is NOT acceptable customer service. And this is NOT acceptable competence from Walmart's employees; especially toward a long time customer. I repeatedly complained about the defective product that was sold to me. I complained about the defective replacements. Nothing was done to change the coating problem on the lenses.
It has been a hassle and an aggravation for me to have to return and be inconvenienced several times because this problem wasn't corrected by Walmart's Vision Centers. This is not the Walmart I have loyally patronized for 20 years. If they cannot correct these problems, I will urge everyone I know to never patronize Walmart's Vision Centers again. That also goes for me as well. Unless I see a real effort to make up for this lousy product and lousy customer service, I am also done as a Walmart Vision Center customer.

When I did come in for the one pair, they were totally off and everything was blurry. The Optician tried and tried to adjust them, but then finally realized that they had sent in the wrong numbers. So the glasses had to be re-ordered. So now we are at 8/26/17, and I originally came in on July 29th. On August 31, I was notified that the glasses were in. I went to pick them up the same day. My wife got glasses from a Walmart Vision Center in South Carolina, in April, 2017. We traveled to California in July, 2017, for a 5-week trip. Early in this time, it became apparent that the glasses were defective -- she, and anyone who looked, could see square patterns on the glass. We went to a Vision Center, and were told that the coating was defective. The manager pulled up our account from South Carolina, and then ordered a replacement, telling us that he expected that the glasses would be delivered to the Vision Center in California within two weeks. Three weeks from our original visit, they have not been so delivered, and we have to go back to South Carolina. We hope that the glasses are eventually delivered there. The manager says that communication with the lab in Fayetteville, Arkansas, is limited.
This is not a critique of the local Vision Centers. Such employees are courteous and helpful. But it IS a criticism of the central laboratory, which, in the first place, produced some defective glasses, and, in the second, did not send a replacement within a reasonable time, and, of course, we are not sure we'll ever get such a replacement, or that, if it comes, it won't be defective.

Before our experience with Wal-Mart Vision was positive. But this year this is the worst experience I have ever had with ordering glasses. We ordered a first set of glasses for our son (same frame as last year) and about a week later were told to come in and pick them up. When we came we saw that both lenses were popping out of the frame and were much too curved for the frame. Since we had the same exact frame the year before and those lenses were fine, I told them that these don't look right. My son also complained that they were too curved and his vision was distorted. They told us to take them home as he will get used to them. He could not as they were both sticking out of the frame and he was getting a headache. We therefore had to go back and then order a new pair.
When the new pair came in, one of the lenses was okay but the second one was too loose, it looked like it can fall out any day. Again we were told that these are OK to take them home and he will get used to them. We took them home and that one lens did fall out. We went back and they were supposed to order yet another pair, but only ordered the one lens. The new lens came, but again same issue. Finally, they said let's order a new pair of glasses, a different frame as maybe these ones are now defective. So we ordered a new pair with a different frame and were hoping that would do the trick.
Once the new pair came in, the lenses looked okay but the frame was much too big for his face. We wondered how that could be and took the pair of "sample frames" they had in the store. That one fit his face perfectly. They ordered the same frame, the same numbers, but yet upon inspection we saw that the one that came in was less curved than the sample one in the store and therefore it was wider and did not fit his face as well as the sample one. At this point I gave up. We wasted so much time going back and forth with a child and even after all these times, the glasses are still not how they should be. Keep that in mind that if you order a frame you like, the one that comes in might be much wider, narrower, or different curvature than the one on display. This will make the frame sit differently on the face.

I have been wearing glasses for 31 years. I generally get a new pair every 24 months. This was my first time purchasing glasses from Walmart. I definitely will not waste my time nor money buying Walmart glasses in the future. Within a few days of getting my glasses, I was wearing them while out for a walk. One of the lenses fell out. I caught the lens and frame as it fell apart on my face. I think I bent the frame while catching them. I immediately took them back to Walmart. I was told they were beveled incorrectly and it would take a few weeks for them to fix the glasses. I asked about the frames and was told they'd try to bend them back but "no guarantees"...
Over two weeks later my glasses were ready for pick-up. I was told the frames were bent back into place and the glass lenses were corrected. They adjusted the glasses to my face. Within minutes of leaving the store the pain behind my left ear was excruciating. I was unable to return to the store for a few days. When I did return the Walmart Vision employee loosened the earpiece. The glasses immediately slid to the end of my nose. I told him the left ear feels a lot better but the glasses are obviously too loose. He informed me the glasses can either hurt my ear or I can push them up on my face to see, but he can't do anything else. I left very discouraged.
The next day I called to speak with a manager. When the manager returned my call her solution was for me to come in when the male employee wasn't working. She even suggested I call in advance to make sure he wasn't around because she knows how he is or she told me to go to another Walmart. So I went to another Walmart. Twice. I have never experienced physical pain from wearing glasses before but now that seems to be how Walmart adjusts glasses. The glasses are lopsided on my face, physically painful behind my left ear and continually slip down my face. I cannot wear them. They have been a complete waste of time and money.
My glasses and lenses were not cheap, I actually spent a lot more on these glasses than I have in the past. However, in the past I've dealt with companies that knew how to adjust glasses, Walmart customer service is very, very inferior and I'm the only one out anything. I did ask to return the glasses and was laughed at. $310 spent on garbage.

Avoid WALMART butchers, they are alleged serial assaults and can't be punished by Walmart management who refuses to do anything about it.
Problem # 2: Vision Center employee, huge as a gorilla, with hands that are only good for loading cement bags was asked to repair my eyeglasses. I sat in front of him while he was literally butchering my expensive glass ($300), maybe not expensive to some though. He placed nose pads that were too large and the replacement screws holding them were humongous. What he did the has shocked me.
He slowly dug into one of my lenses making a deep long scratch on it and continued to making another smaller one while I protested and he then was done with it. The next day I went to complain the manager of the Vision Center who told me this guy can't be punished as he was hired as part of gorilla endangerment program and thus offered me a measly $25 compensation out of their own pocket. I have been getting my.prescription eye glasses from Walmart vision center since 2009. Never had a problem until now. I moved to Glendale Arizona and went to the Vision Center located at 5605 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. I was shopping and stopped in the vision center to set up an appointment. The woman wouldn't get out of her chair to talk to me. She said, "You come here with your insurance card." She told me they don't take my insurance. I told her yes they do.
I have the same insurance for 15 years and have been getting my glasses since 2009. She said it's different here in Arizona. Long story I left, called my insurance, Walmart accepts my insurance, called back Walmart, spoke to a man, made an appointment. Had my eye exam. Picked out frames. I was never offered the add-ons (anti-glare, polycarbonate, etc...). I messaged my daughter who is a manager of a Walmart vision center in another state to see what my current glasses were. I pick up the glasses and the weight of them made them fall own to the end of my nose!! Worse when I sweat, it's hot and sunny here almost every day in Arizona.
I went back to the vision center to show them the frames weren't going to work, told the employee they are falling down and when I put them where they need to be my eyelashes are hitting the lenses. The employee takes the glasses in the back and did something with the frames because they were warm. They fit more snug but still the problem of my eyelashes. He says "you aren't wearing the glasses right". I said, "What??" This is how I wear my glasses. He moves them down a little on my nose and the top of the glasses were in my line of vision. He kept arguing so I left and tried to make the glasses work. Nope. Same thing kept happening.
I go back again (3rd time now) and tell another employee that I need to exchange the frames and why. He told me I can't. I said, "Yes you can. There is a 6-month guarantee you offer." He said that's only on the lenses. I told him, "That is not true. I've been getting my glasses at Walmart since 2009!" He said he needs a manager approval, "She is on break. You will have to wait." I said okay. I messaged my daughter and again another lie. He didn't need manager approval. Manager comes back after 20 minutes and helps someone before me. A lady next to me starts chatting and I told her my daughter is a manager of a vision center.
As soon as the employee heard this he comes directly over to me (He never talked to the manager about my issues because I watched). He says "okay you can pick out new frames but they have to be the exact same price." I said my benefit covers up to 70 dollars. These frames were only 48. They refused to let me use my full benefit. Messaged my daughter. Another lie. I could pick out any frames, does not have to be the same price. My daughter said they are being lazy and didn't want to do a corrected claim. The employee also said it would take 4-6 weeks if I get frames that are a different price and if I add anything on. Another lie!
Talked to my insurance company. It's the same day!! They refused to let me get different price frames and my daughter had to call the manager and tell her she is a manager and knows how it works and to add on anti-glare. By the way my insurance doesn't cover any add-ons so I pay out of pocket. My daughter recommended I call 1-800-walmart. I was told on the first call I would receive a call no later than 3 days from either the marketing manager or the regional manager.
I have called 4 times in the past month and no one has ever called to resolve this issue!! Each time I've called told the same thing. I will receive a call within 3 days. Still no call!! I talked to my insurance company and was told to get my money back for the anti glare, refund the glasses, then call the insurance back and they will restore my benefits immediately!! No 4-6 weeks. I was told lie after lie by the employee and the manager. I will NEVER EVER go to any Walmart vision center again. The glasses they made me get are so ugly and cheaply made!! Picture below. I'm going to Walmart today to refund these glasses. I can guarantee they will give me major problems but I can also guarantee I will not leave without my refund.

So there 2 ladies (Russian) one working scanning items slower than slow. Ask her if she could help. She said no she doing some. The other one went straight to the back. Couldn't even ask her for help... Mhhhh really. Then another customer came in and out of the nowhere both ladies jumped up to help this other customer. I looked and ask why she get the help not us... Both looked at me and didn't said a thing. I got very upset. So I told them, "So this is how you handle customer service. You don't want my money? Fine. I go somewhere else." Guess what. The other place jumped for my kids. Made them feel really good. To walmart vision center you need to work on your customer service or get new people.

Negatives: Lab filled prescription for Single Vision Transitions Drivewear wrong. 1. Ophthalmologist checked lenses. I had complained on puck up lenses seemed too strong. Ophthalmologist confirmed lenses were filled to -1.50 instead of -1.25 and would have damaged my eyes over time. Lens also has a defect - when I look left for oncoming traffic, I feel instant vertigo and immediately have to remove glasses. Not safe to use to drive. Taking back. I've had them three days. (Day 1 picked up in afternoon)
Day 2: Complained about no Authenticity card came with Transitions lenses! Woman (name not here for her privacy) who has worked their five years says she had never seen those, gave those out, nor was she ever asked for it. WHY would it be up to a customer to know to ask for this? I learned about it calling Transitions because of the left lens problem! Rest of day was back and forth with Transitions and corporate office for National Vision looking for someone who could help with left lens problem and issuing the authenticity card. Corporate office called the store - after telling me they don't know about the cards - and finally store came up with a "scratch off" numbered card. Picked that up.
Transitions by the way was WONDERFUL (!!!) to deal with and so helpful. All positives there. The CS woman Jennifer told me she thinks the base curve in left lens was off causing the problem. Went back to Walmart in afternoon of Day 2 to pick up card. Told same woman there the left lens is still a problem. She looked at lens up to light and declared that 'since she didn't see a problem the problem did not exist.' Checked with COSTCO to see if they could do the lenses if I kept the frames. They can't because the lens is curved. Said it's the wrong type of frame to have a good lens result.
Day 3: took glasses to ophthalmologist. He checked glasses. Determined prescription was off. Write a note for store to "redo the lenses." He also encouraged me to "give up on Walmart. They are known for hit or miss getting prescriptions right. Try COSTCO or go to like a LensCrafters. Someplace with a good reputation."
Back to COSTCO to see what may be the best solution. Would take ten days to get new glasses. Walmart is about right. COSTCO could work out less expensive but I have to buy a membership, and their frame options are really limited unless you want frames you've seen everyone else wearing for years. Only very few newer styles. They do offer $40 off if you buy two pair. Stay tuned for outcome at Walmart.

When I went back to the store located in Shrewsbury, PA to place an order for contacts I was told that Dr ** had quit and taken all records with him and that his whereabouts were unknown. Because there was not a record for my exam I could not order contacts or glasses. I was also told that they had not replaced Dr **. If I needed contacts or glasses I would have to find another Dr and again pay for an exam and fitting. I was told that there was nothing the local store could do.
I have left messages at Walmart corporate but have never received a return call. I have no prescription... no contacts... and old glasses. This is affecting my job because I can't see. I tried to wear my contacts well beyond what is safe. Not only did they order me the wrong color but they also tried to blame it on 1-800-contacts! I've talked to several people and not once have they tried to fix my problem. All they are saying is I have to wait until they come in. They have absolutely NO IDEA what they are doing. They left me a voicemail telling me to call them, which I did. Only to hear that I had to wait even longer.
The only solution I feel I will find and to go return the wrong color they sent me for $160 worth of my mother's money and go somewhere else for my contacts. It's been so long that I can't even wear the contacts I have anymore because they are old and hurt my eyes. Working at a shoe store I need contacts to be able to see the correct shoe sizes and register. I've been dealing with this problem for two weeks. It's frustrating and disappointing. Lenses are excellent quality but the frames I bought were $100 which is excellent price but they weren't well made. Overall for both pair I paid around $225 (approximately) including my insurance. The same insurance elsewhere for one pair of glasses (minus the scratch resistance because I couldn't afford it) cost me $500 after insurance. December 28, 2016 (1:30pm) - Taylor, Michigan Walmart Eye Exam. My husband and I stopped in to see about getting his eyes checked and getting him some eye glasses... but when we entered the Walmart's Eye Exam, the available optometrist greeted us with one of the most rude and condescending attitudes I've seen in quite a while.
As with any business inquiries, my husband and I first approached the checkout counter to wait for assistance while noticing an optometrist was attending to a single patron seated at one of the fitting tables. Ready to wait our turn, we were caught off guard when the optometrist stopped and without so much as a "Hi" looked over at us and immediately asked us if we had an appointment to which we responded "no, but we were hoping to make an appointment".
It was here that her demeanor took on a more than sarcastic undertone for reasons I don't know. But it began with her rolling her eyes at us, and using a very condescending voice, she asked "who's the appointment for?" to which I replied it was for my husband who was now standing close to my right hand side. The optometrist then fixed her glare at my husband and sarcastically asked him "Well, do you have an appointment?" to which my husband responded "No I do not, but I wanted to see if I could make one".
Now obviously irritated, the optometrist then asked in a manner to insinuate it was a high probability he did not. "Well do you have insurance" to which my husband responded "yes", but I assume she did not hear him, because she then repeated her question somewhat louder, "Do you have insurance". And it was at this moment, I decided if this was to be the attitude and approach Walmart optometrists would be using in dealing with us as a customer, it was probably in our best interest to seek out another optometrist for a more customer friendly service.
So before I would have to deal with any more underlying attitude and rudeness, I stopped her by saying, "you know what, Yes we have insurance, it's VSP Vision, and no I don't think we'll be using Walmart for our business as it is very apparent our service is not wanted here." And with those parting words we left the store all the while hearing the optometrist relaying comments of "who cares" and "go ahead" to the sitting customer she was talking to when we entered.
So NO, I would not recommend Walmart as the place to go for your eye exam and glasses, or at least not until they learn the true meaning of common courtesy when working with the general public. Very dissatisfied! Shame on the Optometrist for her condescending and rude approach to two people who just wanted to make an appointment for an eye exam. Took our business to SVS Vision, who was more than willing to help us in a more customer friendly environment.

Redlands, Ca. Vision Center. I am disappointed and displeased with the service that I received when I came into your store on 12/24/16 at 5:15 pm by Carolina. I approached her and explained that I had purchased 3 pair of glasses the day before. One pair for each of my daughters Angelia, Joecelyn and myself. However, I did not focus on the fact that I had a secondary insurance for myself on the day that I purchased the glasses and had to pay around $175.00 out of my pocket. I explained that my secondary insurance was Risk Management and that Walmart should be able to bill the secondary insurance so that the total cost of the glasses would covered. Carolina explained that she had NEVER heard of such a thing. She stated that, I would have to purchase a second pair of glasses to do that. I explained to her that I did not need a second pair of glasses and that this is accepted routine in the healthcare field.
I ask her to contact her manager on call and ask him how to deal with this situation if she was not familiar with how to take care of the problem at hand. I WAS THE ONLY CUSTOMER IN THE STORE AT THE TIME. She stated "I do not have a manager to call. Don't you think they have days off." I explained "unless you are the manager of the day; there will always be someone on call that can assist you with problems such as this." She handed me a business card and told me that I can address this with her manager on Tuesday. I explained it will be too late then but at this point you can still bill the insurance. She stated the glasses have already been shipped. I also told her this is not the way to treat your routine customers. She offered me a form where I could fill out myself and take to Risk management.
I explained that I can take my business elsewhere in future purchases that will bill my insurances without problems and that I will not be doing the footwork myself. Carolina was very unpleasant, unhelpful and appeared aggravated. I was the only customer that she was dealing with and she did not want to help me. She was unable to empathize and understand the meaning of $175.00 to another person and it is hard to believe that she would be left without a manager of the day to consult.
In the last 2 years my family and I have purchased 5 pair of glasses, 1 pair of contacts and have been seen twice by a Walmart optometrist. I am requesting that she be reprimanded for her poor customer service and that action be taken to bill my secondary insurance Risk Management. I would like a written letter to explain how this was handled or in the future I will take my business elsewhere where they will take care of me like I deserve to be treated.

She had no issue and told me she would write it on the updated document if we need to reference as proof.
I explained it was just a yearly check up and other than that everything was fine. I was very dismayed when taken back to the optometrist and the nasty demeanor I encountered. I said nothing about the tablet and said it was just a yearly check up for my year's new pair. He started by asking me to read the smallest type and when asked to cover an eye and read the smallest type and I explained it was blurry he became very rude stating my glasses were bent a bit and knocked the bifocal off.
I tried to explain I had no issue at all with the glasses. He said I was banging up the glasses? Yes, I do wear them daily numerous hours which I'm sure they had wear but the glasses were far from "banged up." He said that he prescribed the highest lens and didn't know what I "wanted him to do." He said I had glasses of an elderly person. I said I understood but that I had no issues.
He said there was nothing more he could do and again repeated "I banged up the glasses." I felt extremely uncomfortable with his condescending demeanor and false accusations. I already had chosen the frame, etc but was not pleased in the manner in which I was treated. I fear if I did really need to bring the glasses in for repair he would lash out. I was very dissatisfied with my experience with Wal-Mart Vision Center. I started off with having my exam there. First they had trouble with one of the machines at sizing my eye. I don't believe my eye exam was the greatest. It was about 5 minutes and that was all. Not a very thorough exam. Next was picking out my glasses. I don't believe that anyone in the vision center knew exactly what they were doing. While I was picking out glasses one said they looked good on me and the other said that they were too big. Well I managed to get those glasses and they were too big on me. They hurt the heck out of my face and my ears and too heavy for me. When I got them all that they did was just basically hand them to me and I was on my way. No adjusting hardly. They asked if I could see and I said that they were blurry but I was to get used to them. It might take me a week to a few months.
So anyways I toyed and of course they started hurting so I went back in to get a different pair of glasses. A pair that was very lightweight and rimless. She started my order and then said I couldn't have them because my prescription was too high. So she tried a different way to order them and they went through finally. So I waited for those glasses to come in and when they did I drove 20 miles into town which wasn't the first time that was a waste of gas for me. The first time I went in to get my glasses they were suppose to be open but weren't. I guess the lady was at break and no sign or anything so I left. This time I went in to get my second pair of glasses and I handed them my first pair that I ordered and she took them back and came back with the same pair. Not the pair that I had ordered the second time. I asked her where they were and she said "I don't know. I don't have no orders for them."
I put them on anyways and couldn't see nothing with these ones but of course she said "Well that's the same prescription. I don't know why." So I finally managed to find the glasses I ordered again and she reordered them once again and again I had to wait another 7 to 10 days again and by this time I had went without my glasses for a whole month. So she reordered them and then called me a few days later and said I couldn't have any of the rimless glasses because my prescription was too high. So back once again to go find another pair of glasses. I finally just got my refund and went somewhere else. I now have a nice pair of rimless glasses and pair of glasses that I can see out of and it didn't take me a whole week to a month to get used to them. Yet, the Center failed to follow up with the doctor to clarify any questions that the Center might have had. Due to this experience, told the Center to cancel the order.
Customer went with a different company the following day after Vision Center was instructed to cancel the order all together. Placed an order online through 1-800-contacts (just like I did in Walmart Vision Center) and the next day the contacts were verified with my physician by that company and shipped all within a 24-hour time frame.
Yet, still having to deal with Walmart Vision Center... Now Tiffany, the manager, is involved noting MY confusion when she left a message on my home answering machine. I had updated my contact information when the order was placed but I guess the Center failed to successfully update that as well. Just a note: If I was confused, how could I successfully order through another vendor. Furthermore, the Manager also expressed the amount of time she was placed on hold today while the receptionist at the doctor's office obtained and clarified the confusion to their staff. This call by the Vision Center did not take place until more than 7 days after the initial order to finally verify the prescription since they were unsure of what to order.
Based on this experience and interactions with the staff, Walmart Vision Center fails to provide satisfactory vision services to their customers. The staff did not take the initiative to follow through on an order and also placed the blame on the customer for their mistake. If the Center had been proactive in checking when the order was initially placed and not waiting a week to follow up then this order might have been turned out differently. This company does not value their customers or efficiently handle orders placed. It is haphazard in its dealings.

I went back with them to the Vision Care at Walmart and was told they were not covered to be replaced. I would have to rebuy the frames. I have never hear such a policy in my entire life when purchases glasses.
Of course I did not rebuy the frames but took my glasses to another optical who found frames to fit my lens that same day. They are warranty for one year. Thank you Vogue Optical. Buyer beware. Your frames have no warranty at Walmart. I called the supervisor from Vision Care in Ontario without any reply. Walmart you suck in customer service.

I went to the Wal-Mart in Lincolnton NC last summer, 2015. My glasses are very expensive because I have astigmatism. When my glasses came back they didn't sit right on my face. I put the glasses on the table and told the guy they weren't level. He moved the nose part slightly but they still didn't feel right. I also felt like a drunk while wearing them.
I knew it would take some time to get use to them. But something just wasn't right. I stopped in 2 weeks later and told them. They checked to make sure my lens were made to the dr.'s specifications (they said they did this, I can't prove they did) and told me everything was right. I just needed a bit more time to get used to them. I have ALWAYS had to shove them up on my nose to keep them in place. Well stupid, stupid me. I finally realized one ear piece was SHORTER than the other which was causing them not to sit properly which was throwing off my vision.
Oh, but they don't sell the frame anymore. That one yr guarantee they have? Hog wash! I was told they would replace the frame with another comparable frame but I'd be responsible for the lens. My lens cost $400 frickin' dollars! I am on disability and can't afford another pair. I really wish I had looked at reviews before going to Wal-Mart. Not only am I heart broken over this but my EYES will forever be screwed up!

Went to Walmart Vision Center for a well overdue eye exam. My exam was like a two minute exam. I thought that was strange. My eyesight isn't that bad. One eye is a little worse than the other. I wear no-line bifocals. They called me about a week later to pick up my new glasses. I put them on and felt sick almost immediately. I could NOT see a thing up close. Distance seemed like it may have been ok. I told them I will take them home and see how they are. After about half an hour I had a pounding headache and felt nauseated.
Took them back. New eye exam. (1 minute). They thought maybe the bifocal part was too high or too low so remeasured. Three different girls came up with 2 different measurements so they decided to go with the 2 girls' measurements. 2 weeks went by maybe more. They called to come pick up my glasses. I wasn't feeling well but went anyway. Put them on and basically threw them on the counter. Same thing. Couldn't see!!! I told the lady I wasn't feeling well and would have to come back another day. I haven't been back yet. I am so disappointed. I see so many other complaints. I guess I made a bad decision going there.

I was followed all around Walmart after they obviously spied my big, new, very nice wallet, which I had taken out of my large tote to replace my credit card while there. The thief lifted it while my hand was on my tote, but I was bent over to a lower shelf. The policeman explained this to me as the manager would not let me view the thief. I discovered the thief at checkout. I had to demand to see the manager and I got the assistant mgr, who told the police that I had accused the cashier of the theft. I was told no problems 7-10 days, well after a week of trying to call because it's very hard to reach someone I was told they should've been there, and said it looks like they are in the store but have not been delivered to us yet. They told me they have them by Tuesday July 12 at the latest.
Well first off, they close the vision store early then the hours of operational, because I went after work on Monday and Tuesday at 6:00 and they were close, they are suppose to be open until 7, the sign saids it on the front of entrance plus website. I called the following day to ask about my contacts, and they still do not have them. Are you serious? I told her she said 7-10 business days and can't count weekend. I said "well vision center is open on Saturday so that is one of your business days and mail services run on Saturdays..." So no excuse... its been 12 business days and over two weeks... After three separate attempts with different assistants, none were able to fit my glasses correctly. They kept slipping down my nose. It became obvious that all had inadequate training or no training at all regarding fitting.
Finally, after total frustration I went to Visionworks in the mall, who adjusted them perfectly at no charge! The lack of training is Wal-Mart Vision Center's managements' fault as none of the three ladies knew how to fit glasses. I was told the following "my ears weren't level", to "wear my glasses over my hair", "glasses don't fit the same once the lenses are added". Today I took my daughter in to have an eye exam done as she has been having issues seeing in the distance and has to have her head close to her paper in order to do her school work. The staff was extremely nice why the 3 star status. However, while in the room with my daughter I was paying very close attention to the letters and she was not able to read them and had the letters completely wrong until the optometrist changed the settings on the eye exam machine. The frustration she was showing because she couldn't see was heart breaking but she was a trooper.
When the exam portion where the white card is placed in front of the machine came, he of course asked her to read the line she could read clearly. She said it was all blurry. He faked changing the lenses (ok I get that because people might fake being able to see). She started reading a line, got 3 letters in and he said "ok perfect you're done", still very clearly having trouble reading the letters. This was the only portion of the exam that I didn't see the letters. My daughter also kept telling him that everything was doubled.
Now obviously I'm not an optometrist but I've been wearing glasses since I was 6 years old (I'm 41 now) and know fully well how an eye exam works but it was very clear my daughter was having problems reading the lines. I contacted 2 other optometrists and explained my daughter's symptoms and what happened at the eye exam. They both said to absolutely get a second opinion and they felt the eye exam was not done correctly. And that she more than likely does need glasses especially with the complaints of double vision and our family history. Since the exam was filed with my insurance I will now have to pay out of pocket for the second opinion unless my insurance will make an exception cover the second opinion.

I chose progressive lenses, I've worn these for years and was assured they would be back within a week and someone would call me. By day 10, no one had called. I called them and was told my glasses were ready for pickup. I told the employee there was no difference between the top of my lenses and my vision w/o glasses. I was told to try them out and get used to the lenses. In a month, I still couldn't see anything but a blur. I returned the glasses, had another eye exam. Was told again, one week they'd be ready and someone would call. No one called!
I showed up and my glasses were, supposedly, ready. I told this employee the same thing, I couldn't see. Again, I was told to take them and get used to them. I returned the following Saturday, 4/23 and asked had these glasses been checked for the prescribed prescription. This employee told me this was the first thing checked and my 60-day guarantee was up, so I couldn't even get a refund! I returned Monday, 4/25 and was assured, by the manager, Megan, my glasses would be fixed. They would call me to come pick them up.
On day 16, after 4/25, I called, no one from Walmart Vision called after 16 days!! I knew I was have a lot of difficulty seeing in my right eye again so went early for my annual exam at my ophthalmologist. I had a change. After buying 19 boxes last year to match my previous purchase I still have 13 unopened, unexpired boxes of that prescription. They refused on the phone to exchange them out. They refused again in person when I asked them to help me. I am by their refusing to exchange 13 boxes out $303.81. I can't afford to repurchase and lose the $303.81 and cannot afford to buy lenses for my right eye now.
I WILL NO LONGER BUY FROM THEM, REFER THEM, ETC., and I will tell everyone I know not to go there for anything!!! I guess they think or their owners think screwing repeat customers big time is fun for them. Let me tell them -- I would not have cost them anything to switch out the lenses. I will continue to cost them for a change from now on by not having my annual account of between $287 and $303.81. One of the salespersons said that Walmart Vision no longer has the special discount when a customer buys a year's supply but they have lowered prices so that a year purchase is not any longer necessary to get the reduced price. Then I go to check the price and it is now from about $15.99 a box up to $22.99 a box. Yeah, I don't have a math degree but folks neither do they. I picked up my prescription in February seeing Air Optix Aqua, I started using it the way I normally do. On my third month of usage I started having redness, irritation and severe headache. I took out my contact and wore my glasses. On a second thought I decided to open another set of contact and realized I have been wearing dailies as monthly. The vision center in Walmart Peachtree City, GA to be precise gave me Air Optix Aqua which is to be worn and removed daily as my regular prescription Air Optix Aqua night and day which is to be worn for 30 days. I've been having headache for 3 days straight and had to be placed on some medications.
The most annoying part of it all is going to this same Walmart to complain and the Optician (a lady) not apologetic at all, saying it doesn't matter if I'm wearing it for months and it can't cause any discomfort or headache as long as it is the same strength. Absolutely nothing was said about the error and how sorry they are to have made that error. I don't even know if there's any damage done to my eyes right now. She said I should come pick up another box of contact and I told her I'm not interested and I will put this in writing to the doctor in charge and copy my family lawyer just in case I get any crazy complications from this error. This is really frustrating and annoying considering all I've been through with the discomfort, blurry eyes and pain. I hate it when the optician sees me as someone that will be good with getting an extra box of contact lenses when I can buy my contact lenses myself. I seriously don't need an extra box when I can pay for it.

Initially they forgot to include the side shields, but they did eventually get them in for free. They lasted ok, but eventually the left temple broke. The springy things are a mixed blessing. They seem to be good for the glasses, but eventually just wear out (just short of 2 years).
So, I went back to the Springfield Oregon Walmart to order a new temple, and was told that they could not order replacement parts for my glasses. She didn't look anything up to verify availability. I was just completely blown away by the apparent lack of continuing support for their customers and the glasses they sold. There wasn't a line of customers. Walked into the store and there was 2 employees out front. 1 employee was helping a gentleman at the register and another employee was just sitting at the table doing nothing. No one greeted me as I entered the store from the time I was there to the time I left the store. After the first employee finished with the gentleman, no one ask if I needed any help, no one ask how I was doing. I know I tried on 1/2 the frames in the store and still no acknowledgement. I was there to find another pair of glasses and wanted black frames. I was recommended to you because I saw a lady with a pair of glasses on that I liked and she got them from Wal-Mart (don't know which location), but went there because I work in the area.
Eventually both employees moved to the back of the store (where you could not see them) and never came back out as long as I was there. I was the only person in the store so I know they were not busy. I looked up at one point and notices another employee coming into work or off her lunch break (she has her purse on her shoulder), still no acknowledgement. This is why people say customer service is terrible, because of employees this. They don't realize people have choices and there are a lot of people looking for employment, so if they don't value their jobs, leave and allow that job be given to someone that wants to work.
I'm in customer service as well, manage 2 apartment communities in the area and if I had a prospect to enter my office and my employees did not acknowledge them, they would be terminated on the spot. This is not how we treat people, especially when you are attempting to spend their money with you. I went back to work and told my staff my experience and needless to say, they will never go there if they were in need of glasses. "Word of mouth" is the best advertisement. I am on my last pair of contacts and do not have a pair of glasses at the moment. I went into the Wal-Mart Vision Center yet again to refill my contact prescription because I do not like ordering things online (personal reasons).
They refused to fill my prescription saying that I hadn't been in since December of 2014. Which is impossible because I didn't start wearing contacts until 2015 number 1, and number 2 I wasn't even in the State of Nevada in 2014. I am forced to wear expired contacts until I have my next appointment in which I will still have to possibly wait two more weeks to get glasses or contacts. As a result, I have been having vision headaches, my eyes have been dry and irritated, and it is taking a negative toll on my eye health. People may say "Why don't you just stop wearing them?" I'm almost legally blind, I am literally handicapped without vision correction. I cannot drive, work, or even trust myself in the kitchen without it.
I am upset because the person that told me did not care to dig deeper and figure out how something like this could have happened. I am extremely upset with Wal-Mart Vision Center, I am in pain because of their mistake and am possibly harming my eyes in a way that I don't want to imagine. My daughter, age 17, just got glasses on a Friday and, by Monday, three days later, the side piece broke off in two. The screw was still intact holding the cheap piece of white metal and the other piece was lying beside it. That is very convenient considering the next time they break that they won't cover them. I sent a letter of complaint to the manager of Walmart, who sent it on to the person above the vision center manager. Evidently making fun of customers is allowable in their store, as I have heard nothing back. I will never shop at the Walmart Vision Center again.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I went here for an eye exam when my insurance stopped covering them and I was trying to save a little money. Also decided to go ahead and get my glasses while I was there because they run about the same price for progressive bi-focals as I had been paying, and I found some frames that I liked. I made sure that I asked if those frames were suitable for progressives, and was assured that they were. The optician on duty (if you can call him that) told me that they would be very similar to the ones I was currently wearing since the frame size was less than 1/4 inch wider, and that he would measure everything compared to my current lenses, so I wouldn't have any problem adjusting to them.
When I got them, the distance vision was too strong (after the doctor who examined me told me that my distance hadn't changed, so she was leaving the prescription for that the same. But come to find out, she wrote it wrong and it was stronger) and the bi-focals were so low on the lens (and NOT progressive like I had paid for) that I had to tip my head waaay back to see anything within a few feet of my face. I said something about both problems at the original fitting, but was told that I just needed to adjust to them since my bifocal prescription had changed a little. So I tried them for a week, and just could not wear them - I had to tilt my head back at an uncomfortable angle just to see my computer screen at work.
I was getting headaches from the too strong distance vision. And let's not even talk about reading anything close up. It was impossible without holding it down in my lap and tilting my head as far back as I could. But when I went back and asked to have them adjusted, I was told (by the same idiot who assured me that the frames were fine for progressive bi-focals and he would make sure they as close to my current lenses as possible) that it was MY fault I couldn't see out of them because I had chosen inappropriate frames for those types of lenses, and that I was just going to have to push them up as high as I could on my nose and get a higher desk chair so I could look down at my computer at work. WTF?
He absolutely refused to do anything about it, and I have not been able to wear the glasses at all. So that was $300 down the drain, plus another almost $400 I had to pay for a correct eye exam (where I showed the doctor the Wal-Mart prescription and he told me the distance was WAY too strong) and a DECENT optician to make new glasses that I could see out of. And no, I have no problem with then new ones, even though the bi-focal prescription has changed from my old one. Never, never, ever again will I go to Wal-Mart Vision. They may be ok in other areas, but this experience put me off so much I am afraid to try. I strongly discourage anyone in this area from going to that one (Western Blvd in Jacksonville, NC). Personally, I will pay the extra $30 to go to my regular optometrist from now on.

Wife and I both needed eye exams as seniors. That means dilation. We were going to a Sam's Club 1-1/2 drive away because the person there is great at fitting glasses. I made an appointment a day early with Walmart so I could drive both ways without vision problems. I called and was told $59 including dilation and diabetes testing. After the exam was told $75. Ask why the increase without a reasonable answer other than checked for diabetes. Wife had exact same exam including diabetes testing at the Sam's Club and was $59. I have all receipts. Walmart's pricing showed $75 for office visit which I guess I was charged and not an eye exam(?). Either way it was $16 more and they refused to refund after I contacted corporate. I was told they are independent services. If they cheat, they should be removed from their stores. All I've wanted was my extra $16 returned, but I suppose a customer doesn't mean that much to Walmart(?).

They wrote me a quote then changed it when I went back to purchase the glasses. No explanation given. Their licenses are not posted, nor are their names on their badges, as required by my state law. File complaints with the licensing board on these opticians. They billed the wrong insurance company (Medicare) and refuse to show me a copy of the receipt or a copy of my prescription after filling it wrong the first time. I contacted the Medicare fraud people and if they don't correct this they may be charged with fraud - I hope so. They won't cooperate, won't correct their mistake. Very fishy. Also, the one optician sexually harasses me by calling me "Hon" despite numerous requests to stop.

Fought the Christmas crowds to go to Walmart Vision Center. I am a professional and as such, I expect the same when I am spending my hard earned money when there are other choices out there. Entered the store on December 23, 2015, and there were a male and female seated at a work station chatting. First, I would suggest that perhaps staff follow professional business conduct by getting up to greet a customer when they are not occupied with work issues and a smile might help as well rather than making the customer feel like a bother!
Second, I was looking for new frames to put my existing lenses into. I was not asked why I felt I needed new frames only that my current prescription was outdated. I was told further that I would require an eye exam and the male seated there proceeded to tell me what openings there were. I stated that I was aware it is expired but at this time I am looking only for new frames.
They basically said no exam, no new prescription, no frames. Very abrupt and to be honest, he treated me like I was 12 instead of over 40. I said that's fine. You have lost my business and I will take my money elsewhere. I wished them a merry Christmas on my way out and got some sort of response on my way out. I travelled to Hakim at the other end of town where I was asked questions by the woman at the counter. And after some discussion, she replaced the nose pieces and adjusted the glasses for me even though they were originally purchased at Walmart. She did this for free! She explained that they have to warn you about prescription renewals and professionally encouraged me to wait for the lenses until I have a new prescription to put into new frames.
The new prescription will be in excess of 300 dollars due to being trifocals. Hakim will get my business and my very hard earned money in the future because I WAS TREATED LIKE A PAYING CUSTOMER. You know, the one that is the reason for you being there! Customer service is how it's done people. The lack of it today lost you a lot of money.

She found one for under $100 about the same size so the lens could be popped out and just put in, needless to say the tech cracked the lens at the corner and when my daughter asked about it she said the crack was already there. I have always gone to Walmart, I love the doctors and the price but feel let down now.

I noticed I wasn't being able to read the road signs with my old glasses prescription while driving and night driving was a smear of colored lights from the traffic signals and neon business ads, so I made an apt with the Antelope Walmart Vision Center, in Antelope, CA. My apt was at 2 pm, but the optometrist and her receptionist, was not back from lunch yet. When they returned at 2:20 pm, I prepaid her fee and was asked to have a seat in the waiting room, where I sat until 2:30 pm, before being ushered into the exam room, where I waited some more. There were no other patients present then or throughout my entire visit, so I wondered what the hold up was. I finally got my exam, which took over an hour, and that was without the dilation since I had to drive myself home. I paid cash for the exam, $58.00, a good buy, since I do not have vision coverage through my insurance.
The least I could purchase eyewear for at Walmart, is over $300.00, so I took my Rx and filled it through another, much more economical company, for $145.00, a big plus for us seniors on a fixed income. When my prescription was ready in 2 weeks, I eagerly put them on, only to find that I could not see out of them. The Rx had been written wrong. I rescheduled a refit with the Walmart Vision Center, where again I was put into the exam room to wait for 20 minutes, however, while waiting, I got to listen to another customer come in with his family and complain that he too had received the wrong Rx and could not see out of his glasses, saying he saw double out of them, and she scheduled him for a refit in a week. Upon reexamining my eyes (it took her another hour), she determine that I had the wrong Rx.
Then she began making excuses, saying my eyes had gotten better and that the difference between the far sight and the nearsight was so drastic that she could not progress them properly and that I would either have to get a reading pair of glasses and a driving pair, or give one of them up entirely! Was she kidding? She also chastised me for not trying the new glasses longer so I would get used to them, but I couldn't seem to do anything with them on except squint and try to focus until I got a headache.. I asked her what I was going to do with a pair of new glasses that were completely useless for me and she said that I could still use them for driving, since it was the reading part of the glasses that was the worst. That's fine, except every time I glanced down, the blur was so bad that eventually it made me nauseous and dizzy.
At least she did not charge me for the refit appointment, but also did not refund my exam payment for the bad Rx, or a refund for the money I had just tossed down the toilet for the glasses! I know $200 isn't much in this day and age, but it comes very hard for me, being a senior and caring for my developmentally disabled son at home. It would cost me more money and time to file a suit with small claims court, than it would to just start over and order new glasses, so it is back to wearing the old Rx and not driving, until I can save some more money to order new glasses and get a new Rx from an ophthalmologist. Walmart advertises their "Walmart Vision Centers" yet they will not stand behind them, saying the vision centers are not 'with them' or a part of Walmart, that they only rent them a space in their store for the convenience of their customers.
It sure wasn't very convenient for me, or the other senior citizen who also got a bad fit and now sees double. So, buyer beware. I guess you do get what you pay for, but you would think these places would be regulated better and held to higher standards, since the largest part of their clientele are the poor, the disabled, and low income people who cannot afford more, and who does not have the resources to take the matter to court.

I purchased 2 pairs of eyeglasses. I asked for one pair to be tinted for sun purposes. You have no choice because they put packages together. With that being said, they are not tinted. I paid $750.00 for both pairs that I have never worn. The reason I have not is because the main pair the frames are horrible. They are difficult to adjust and the nose pad is already twisted and ready to fall off. They are so uncomfortable. The second pair (Flowers) are all around plastic - another pair difficult to adjust. I have taken them to professional eyeglass stores to adjust, and to this day I can't wear them because of how uncomfortable they are. They are new prescriptions with newer vision. I am still wearing my other ones daily.
I would never recommend anyone to purchase from Walmart. On another note I feel the employees do not have the education or experience to even be working in that specialized department. I have not gone back because I do not feel confident that they will do anything about it.

My pink glasses that cost $180 were bought in 2013 broke recently and came unwelded and needs a left hand side hinge. Went there today and was told my lenses and glasses had been discontinued forever and that they were not going to fix them and were not going to fix them. I was also told to go to the doctor and get a new prescription and that after January of 2016 everyone would have to go to the eye doctor every 6 months and get a new prescription and glasses and they would make tons of money out of us. They were rude and cruel and treated me just like Fred Meyers Jewelers about 3 watch bands I needed fixed due to the watches being of sentimental value. In Portland where I live now there is only 1 jewelry store still in business still that fixes watch bands and Fred Meyers would not fix my 3 bands and said they do not have to do it or will not do it for me. Hundreds of jewelry stores are gone and out of business forever here now.
Watches mean nothing here no matter how old or valuable they are. The same premise exists for eye glasses it looks like now and will be for many other products as companies continue to lose money. Because so many places sell them for under $5 places will not do it or fix them and they will not tell you that. I cannot wear cheap glasses and most people cannot. I asked them if I am going to have to get new glasses every year and after January 2016 get new glasses and a new prescription from an eye doctor every 6 months and they said yes. And asked them because they discontinued the glasses and the frames does that mean they are not going to help me or not help me and they said yes. Am I SOL and they also said yes. I bought your glasses you creeps and jerks at Wal-Mart Vision Center in good faith. You said everyone and me had to get a new script every year and in two months from now a new one from a doctor every 6 months.
Anything to be greedy greedy and more greedy. I used to work retail back at a store called Lechmere Sales and over 3/4 of the stuff they sold in less than 2 years would be discontinued and people had to all cuss out our staff for them to even get a store credit for them to buy something else. I just want a store credit to buy a better pair that does not have a crummy weld on it. My Nova 4717 walker 3 years ago came unwelded and Arthro Nova would not back it up and blamed me for breaking and joyriding it all over Portland and 82nd avenue and that was a lie. I lost a lot of money and would not back up the 4717 walker by Arthro Nova. I got it welded and it broke down in 150 pieces and I lost a $350 walker. The same crap is happening here at Wal-Mart Vision Center. They said today that hundreds today of their glasses had been discontinued and that because of that they would not help me or anyone else that glasses broke.
Lady Witch I can do something and I can fight. Do not screw me? I will win this thing. It was not my fault for breaking my glasses and I did not break them at all like Arthro Nova said about my walker that was garbage. Because you are losing money which I have heard all over the news you are cherry picking certain customers to do this to and you are not going to get away with it with me. I can fight and I'm not an idiot and I'm not stupid.
Do not ever ever ever buy glasses from Wal-Mart Vision Center in Portland Oregon or anywhere in Oregon because in a year and a half they will discontinue them and tell you that they are un everything and unfixable like they did me. I hate your guts Wal-Mart Vision Center for not giving a damn about your customers or my business. Do not go here to this company to buy glasses because it will cost you $200 every 6 months. The service is terrible even though the dr himself is great. After the exam I paid in advance for two boxes of contacts (I have a different prescription in each eye) and my glasses. The glasses came in fairly quickly but my contacts were another story.
I waited over a month before I finally called to ask about them. I was told that only one box came in and the other was on back order. After another few weeks I went and picked up the one box, since I was going on vacation and wanted to wear contacts. I have called repeatedly and stopped by the store and every time I am told the same thing, that my contacts are "still on backorder" the employees keep telling me that it's not their fault, that the company has them on backorder. Another time the employees told me that they are reordering my contacts and they should be in within a week.
After almost 4 whole months of this I still do not have my contacts. I'm going to ask for a refund on the one box and have a copy of my prescription. This is the worst service I have ever had from an eye doctor.
