Delivery is timely. When wrong prescription was delivered I received an immediate refund. They do not offer enough frame choices. Their prices and discounts are very good. I would order from them again.
They get the job done. Nothing special about them but I needed a pair quickly and they were very affordable! I use them as my spares now, so I am fortunate to have a reliable pair for that. I would use them again as they were quick and cheap!
Bought top of the line glasses, about $650.00. Two attendants. Due to Covid, they are behind rope barrier. You have to wave & call out to get them to come up to barrier, then although no one is in their lobby, make an appointment & return for service. Was first told that glasses would be in Feb 4th. A two week wait. Called to make appointment for 4th & was told glasses did not pass inspection, would be in 13th. They called back couple of days later and they were in on the 7th.
Went to pick up glasses. Waited outside barrier about thirty minutes. Told they had to assemble glasses. Told them they should have done that before I got there. Attendant brought glasses over to barrier and handed them to me. I asked that should we not sit down and adjust glasses to fit. Only then did attendant do the Covid precautions and I was allowed to enter work area for proper fitting. Glasses are OK but customer service is absolutely minimal and then you have to prompt and ask. For the prices they charge you are much better off with a professional provider. My one and only visit to Wal Mart Vision Centers.
I was very satisfied with my first visit to the Walmart Vision Center. The staff was very friendly and Tanya was great during the check in and check out process. They had great COVID safety and health measures in place. Dr. ** was excellent during my exam. He took his time, communicated during the exam and followed up on questions I had regarding my contacts. Highly recommend Walmart Vision and Dr. **.
The two associates complained because I was trying on the glasses and they would have to sanitize them. I was their only customer. They were doing nothing. They made me feel like I was annoying them.
I went to pick up my glasses & I tried them & they did not work for me. Brought them back & pick out some others with just single vision still too strong. I brought them back again tell them they were still too strong & now told it's too late to do anything. I now have glasses I spent over $200 for & can’t use them. I will not use Walmart vision again!! I’m not satisfied at all with the way they handle the whole situation. I will not be back & they want to charge me to come back in to see the doctor & that’s not right.
My son left Vision Center years ago because they rarely got his contacts when they said they would have them. Sometimes he would have to wait 3 weeks for them and they were always very rude to him. I stayed because it is close to my house and they had my file as I had been going there since 2013. Well today I went to my scheduled appointment and was met with the rudest person. I was standing outside for 5 mins. as there was a rope so you couldn’t get in and no one was at the front desk.
The phone ring which brought out the employee, she just ignored me and answered the phone to make an appointment for someone while taking all their information. When she finally acknowledged me she stuck a temperature meter on my forehead and then started lecturing me on how to fill out paperwork. When I told her I know how to fill out a form, she got insulted and told me if I was going to be rude I could leave, so I did and I will never go back. They have never been accommodating as they won’t replace lenses even when you purchase the frames from them.
I bought my eyeglasses October 2019. My lenses are so scratched it’s like looking through broken glass. I called Walmart Vision and of course my lenses aren’t covered! I clean them with their cleaner!!
I've had eye exams at Walmart Vision Center for almost 10 years. Purchased from WVC probably 8 years. Covid-19 protocols have made the process tedious but totally understandable for everyone's health and safety. From eye exam to finally picking up 2 pairs of glasses ($ 550.00 my frames) approx 2 months. Today I picked up my glasses at a counter, not seated and fitted for proper prescription alignment, or frame comfort for that matter. I was surprised and put out. I felt as though I was getting the best outcome from the technician's point of view. But this bothered me, so when I got home I called to make an appt for a "fitting". The very tech that just handed me my glasses was surprised that my visit did not include a proper fitting. When I told her she was the person who served me, she asked why I didn't say anything if I had issues with the pick-up?
I told her that I understood new protocols were in place with Covid -19, and was not aware I had to ask for a service I had always received when picking up prescription glasses. She simply brought my glasses to me, didn't ask how the fit was, how was my point of vision with the scrip, I did question my eyesight in my left eye, she started to run off to get something for me to read...Didn't ask me to sit down to better assess my vision concern...I was upset, felt like I was putting her out, I said, "Never mind" and left. On the phone she agreed the new protocol made things different, but that if I had a problem I SHOULD HAVE SAID SO, I didn't agree at that time, and I feel professional technical service was truly lacking.
I made a 4th appointment for my glasses, but this tech did not feel concerned or apologetic at my reaction to the poor service I spoke of or my mistaken belief that customer service is part of her contribution to the whole experience. It was my fault, so what if I had to wait months for the end of this process, so what if I have to return a second time to have glasses fitted properly. A very disappointing visit to the Walmart Vision Center. I may have to rethink my next eye exam. I'm sorry Dr **.
People say "Walmart for glasses?" They have an optometrist on site that assesses you. They have many glasses in stock or can have them ready in a day. The prices beat anywhere else. They accept many insurances. So you get quality eyewear, a proper eye test, a good price, great service and you can see again!
I have went to Walmart Vision Centers all my life with no problems. Always had friendly service, easy exams and affordable rates. The last dr I went to gave me glasses and contacts I cannot see with. I tried taking them back and was told my eyes just needed time to adjust. She gave me bifocals which I have never had nor needed. I still cannot see out of my contacts or glasses and they give me massive headaches if I try. I live on disability and cannot afford to go elsewhere and get new ones and without one or the other I am legally blind. I had one pair of contacts left from my old prescription that I am currently wearing. I don't know what I'm going to do when I can no longer wear them. I am truly disappointed with the vision center this time. I've never had any problems before but this time they have seriously put me in a bind. I don't plan on ever going back.
Made an appointment for contacts, got a regular exam without knowing that I never got the contact exam (my first time), they rescheduled me for a contact exam and the doctor refused to give me the exam, said I didn’t need contacts.
One thing that all Walmart Vision Centers have in common is that the people who work there are mostly lazy, stupid, inattentive and unhelpful. I told them that if they call my insurance company for prior authorization for retinal imaging, my company would pay for it. But no, they knew better and refused to call. Later, my insurance company confirmed that yes, they would have paid for it if Walmart had called for prior authorization, but it was too late after the fact. So I paid $20 for nothing. Perhaps Walmart Vision Center makes more money this way, so maybe they're just crooks. This will be the LAST TIME I ever set foot in a Walmart Vision Center. Idiots.
I went to 4 different retail vision centers comparing styles and prices of glasses. I really wanted both glasses and sunglasses because my eyes were starting to hurt when driving long periods in the sun. Every location I went to that accepted my my vision insurance quoted roughly &350.00 out of pocket for just one pair of glasses. My last stop was Walmart. The selection of frames was amazing. I found exact what I had been looking for. When they gave me the quote I thought was a mistake. $427.00 for both pair without insurance. Both prescription.
The customer service was fantastic. The representative took time with me, she didn’t push or rush me. She was sincere and very knowledgeable. I purchased both pair. Both with progressive lenses with all the bells and whistles. They weren’t part of my vision insurance so I paid full price. Again, the full price for both was $427.00. I was able to get reimbursed from my coin insurance for $100.00. So my total out of pocket was less than one pair at other retailers. When I picked up my glasses I was So impressed! The quality of the frames and lenses was unbelievable. Again, they took time with me to ensure my satisfaction. I highly recommend Walmart Optical! I was and am very impressed with both the customer service and the quality of the glasses. I will make this my this my go to for all future vision purchases.
I stopped by the Walmart Vision at the Walmart Superstore in Fairfax VA. I had a pair of glasses with a frame that just broke and was hoping to pay for the new frame with my FEPVision. Walmart is an approved provider with NO limitations listed as to services provided. I told the service person what I wanted and that I would be using insurance. He found me a pair that he thought would work and told me to be seated while he tried installing the lenses (the frame was half rimless). He came back with the pair ready to go - although no offer was made to fit them to my face.
When I handed him my insurance card he almost took my head off saying I should have given him the card immediately - before he had started helping me. I felt the need to apologize, even though I had mentioned paying with insurance initially. He then sat down at his computer (fuming and muttering) and after a half minute showed me a print out that stated that my insurance did not cover frames only - only complete glasses. I told him that I believed he was mistaken and asked that he verify this since the "proof" he offered was at best vague. This did little to improve his disposition.
He continued muttering as he punched the keys and in a couple of minutes told me that the insurance had refused the application for insurance. His tone was scolding and irritated so again I felt I needed to apologize. He was not placated in the least. - I felt as if I was committing some fraud (and several other customers looked over wondering what I was trying to pull). I paid using my credit card and left - with a final apology.
Today I called FEPVision and confirmed that (1) I am eligible for frames every 2 years and had not purchased one within that time and (2) that they had a record that Walmart Vision had requested and received authorization to pay for the frames. I then called Walmart and after a bit of work was connected with an upper management person who told me that it was Walmart software and policy NOT to authorize sales of frames using FEPVision. He told me that if I spoke to FEPVision they would pay. I informed him that was not true and that he should know that. He then informed me that there was nothing more he could do. I told me there was more that I could do. I told him I would alert people to the fact that Walmart Vision is not interested in Service but only Sales. Mission Complete (at this site).
September 11th 2019 ordered progressive lens with transition protective scratch coating. November 3rd 2019 under 60 day refund time. Clerk looked at my lenses. The coating is coming off the Zeiss lenses. Wal-Mart will replace the lenses. After 2 weeks called no lenses. The optical manager told me just have to wait till Zeiss sends back. Jump to now 30 days. No lenses. Called store manager Collin. Said clerk forgot to send frame for lenses. Give 2 more weeks. New lenses after 2 weeks. Come in, put numbers in middle of lenses on outside so when look to side see numbers in lenses. Response was now after dragging out for over 50 days those lenses are it won't fix the problem. Be very careful with being told 1 year warranty lenses lost coating before 60 days then replaced with a worse set. Wouldn't refund my money because now dragged out past 60 days with waiting for what I paid for nothing more.
I gave Walmart my prescription a year ago, and they only gave me half of the prescription. As well as anti Fatigue lens. I was having headaches so I went to my eye doctor and it turns out it was not proper. I brought it back to Walmart and they gave me a new lens for free but claimed it was not their fault. I went to the eye doctor again today and they only gave me the other half of the prescription as well as no anti Fatigue like they stated was in there. I also had a prescription for an Astigmatism which I don't have. I now have to buy a whole new set of glasses.
This is my second pair of glasses filled by Walmart. (I did not have an eye exam, just filled prescription.) Each time they were progressive with transition lenses. I chose a reasonably priced frame. The technician took the time to properly spot the lens for ensuring a good progressive lens. The glasses were finished in less than the mentioned time. These glasses, like my previously filled rx by Walmart, are perfect in all aspects. I can say these are the best fitting glasses I’ve had in years. Since my last Walmart pair. So why am I so satisfied you might ask? If you’ve ever had a pair of poorly fitted progressive glasses that were not spotted correctly you’ll understand.
A year ago a friend of mine suggested Costco to have my prescription filled. They were focused on the price, and standard features, which are very good, I figured I would try. Big mistake! Worst progressive glasses I ever had. The technician did not take the time to spot the lens properly. Maybe it’s the way they’re trained. Walmart techs know what they’re doing. Keep up the good work! Reasonably priced, professional people, and fast service.
I got a pair of glasses from Walmart Murrieta Ca. After about 7 months the lenses of my glasses look as if someone peeled tint off a window. I went back to get them to fix the glasses. The representative wasn't very helpful. When asked about the warranty they said they are not covered. Because I used lens cleaner on them. I only clean them with the solution I was given when I purchased the pair of glasses. I said, "You’re kidding me. You sold it to me." I'm very disappointed.
I am 70 and have Aetna Medicare PPO as my supplemental insurance. Having read my Aetna 2019 book I knew I was only allowed $75 on frames. Went to Wal-Mart in Statesville, NC and was told I had an amount more than that. I only wanted polarized sunglasses and new frames. Chose a pair of RayBan glasses and just had them remove the clear lenses. Glasses arrived within a week and I was disappointed in the polarized feature; not nearly as good as my current ones! I noticed after wearing them for a few hours that my eyes began to "burn".
After paying for the glasses and a year's insurance on them for a total of $138 and no balance due....I received a bill for $62.86 more! Why? SUPPOSEDLY my insurance company did not pay as much as they had "thought" they would. I went online to view my claims history and they had not even filed a claim! I called my insurance company and this was confirmed. I'm going to pay the $62.86, but I am going to file a complaint with the N.C. Insurance Commissioner about what I consider Deceptive Practices.
I have had the same person take care of my concerns about eyeglasses I purchased (paid for by me, no insurance). She worked last night, 10-23-2019. She also took care of my same concern on a previous date. She has short reddish brown hair and wears glasses and it was around 7 p.m. last night. I am sorry I did not get her name. She came right out and accused me of bringing old frames in to get new lenses, when I clearly purchased them there! She then said they were not their frames! All because I requested the bifocal be moved up. And she is the same one who took care of me on a previous date for the same reason. There is more to describe here but I just want corporate to know. We will now see if I get a response. And I have a witness.
Got script to get new glasses after MD eye doctor provided. Picked up glasses; seeing double top half of lenses and unable to read clearly bottom of progressive lenses. Told that I need prisms and to return to eye doc for retake exam. Back to Walmart with new script, and new lenses ready and when tested seeing double again and unable to focus on reading. Was told how Walmart went out of the way to accommodate my script as I got it over 60 days after it was issued and that I need prisms and I have to get used to them, etc. Got up and walked out seeing double signs in the parking lot after having had $250 wasted on rubbish. Nasty place to be shunned by all people.
Up until this experience, I have been a consistent Walmart shopper because of low prices. At the spur of the moment, being tired of spending $400+ for frames and lenses, I decided to give Walmart Vision Center a try. So, I started by looking at frames, and they were very inexpensive compared to what I had been buying elsewhere. I had had an eye exam a few weeks earlier, and I had the prescription. I decided to order glasses. I wear trifocals. My initial contact with a Walmart Vision Center employee was a 20-something named Brandon. I immediately began to suspect that (a) he was very inexperienced (b) did not know what he was supposed to do, and (c) couldn’t care less. Fortunately, a competent coworker intervened and carefully measured the correct position of the height of the trifocal lenses. She explained to Brandon how to do this as she did it. I paid for the frames and the lenses.
A week later I got a call telling me that my glasses were ready. I went in to pick them up, and the same woman told me to put the glasses on, which I did, and lo and behold, the position of the middle-distance and reading elements of the lens were far too low to be of any use at all. The effect was that I could not read most of what was on the test card. The woman started with the assumption that the lenses were positioned as I had asked (she didn’t remember me). I told her that she had done the measurements, explained where to mark the glasses, and that they were not as she had measured. Brandon came over and explained that when he punched the order for lenses into his computer, he punched the wrong number, so that when the glasses came in the first time, the lens position was way too high, so….wait for this….he and a coworker decided to punch in a number that would lower the lens WITHOUT CONSULTING ME!
So, naturally, when the glasses came back the second time, the trifocal position was TOO LOW!! Brandon did not care. He didn’t think he had done anything wrong. He just walked away. The woman offered to do the measurements all over again, and to send the glasses back. In my experience, when something starts out screwed up, everything that follows will be unacceptable. So, I requested a refund, which she promptly agreed to give me. Then arose a problem: Walmart’s credit card reader would not accept a refund transaction. A manager had to be called.
A few minutes later, the manager—supposedly the assistant manager of the entire store—came over, tried to do the refund transaction on the card reader, and failed—and left to get cash to give me. He did not make eye contact with me, did not express regret. He seemed quite annoyed to be inconvenienced. Will I ever go to a Walmart Vision Center again? Heck no. In fact, I have crossed the threshold of a Walmart store, for any purpose, for the final time.
Took my new prescription to Walmart Optical Centre. Picked out frames and ordered my glasses. They came quickly but vision was blurred. They told me it was my brain and I need time to adjust. I had worn glasses for 40+ years and have never had this kind of experience. They also said they had a new lens lab. I believe the problem is their new lab... not my brain! Go elsewhere to get your glasses.
Walmart in Gibsonton Florida. I am beyond happy! All I needed was to buy a new lens for one that had cracked. I ended up buying the cutest, newest, set of frames for only $17.00 and each new lense was only $44.00 each. They clean and adjusted my old glasses, and put new eye/nose pads on. It was quick easy and affordable. I just came back from picking up my new glasses and I love them. Again, they cleaned all my glasses, adjusted them in more ways than I have ever had offered to me. They gave me an 2 cases, lots of disposable lens wipes, and the cloth to shine them. I did not know where to go and my son told me that everyone at his job loves coming here for their vision needs. Even when I called to see if my glasses were ready, the woman was so professional, polite, well spoken and kind. I am sold! Once I get more money I will be back to buy another more current set of frames and lenses. Thank you!
I had eye exam at Walmart in Chicago on North Avenue and picked out a pair of glasses and 3 days later received a call that I could pick up my glasses. I tried them on and they felt loose and I told the worker that the frame was bent and she tried explaining that it was because of my prescription and I told her I didn’t believe that. She again took my glasses back to adjust them and I wanted to do shopping inside of store and the minute I walked away and held my head down toward the floor my glasses fell off and a lady picked them up off the floor..
I returned back to the Vision Center and I approached the doctor and showed him my crooked new eyeglasses I just picked up 20 minutes ago but he had no interest and directed me to his staff, the same staff that obviously bent my eyeglasses. I would never returned there or recommend that Vision Center. Very unprofessional. No one seemed concerned and no one took responsibility for my bent frames and they constantly are falling off my face.
Bought 2 pair of glasses, one for my wife and one for my son, both glasses are bad, both are making noise like the lenses is about to fall off. When we brought the glasses back my wife was told hers would be fix in a few days but when we got them back the frame was full of glue that my wife cleaned because she was too upset to go back. Now a week later the glasses seem worse. As for my son's glasses they told us that because it is a plastic frame he has to live with it. We believe we were going to save money, NOT WORTH IT.
Recently went in for eye exam at Kenosha Walmart optical. The associate could not find my appointment in the system and her demeanor turned rude and disgruntled. Another staff rushed me in and botched two rounds of eye tests and was also rude and unprofessional. I stated over and over that I had made an appointment a week ago. Worst experience ever as I was waiting for the doctor. I felt highly uncomfortable and wanted to run out!! A patient witnessed the abuse I was receiving from both Walmart staff. I stated to the other patient in the waiting room that I would not return to Walmart. She agreed and said the customer service at the Kenosha Walmart only has gotten worse. The rainbow at the end of the bad experience was that Dr. ** was warm, kind, and funny.
When I was told I would be needing new glasses because my old glasses were too old and flimsy to put new lenses into, I was hesitant to try Walmart Vision Center. I was afraid that Walmart glasses were cheap and not made well, but boy, was I wrong. I first went to LensCrafters and had a terrible experience there. I bought glasses from Lens Crafters that were over $500, but just kept having problem after problem with them, I ended up returning them. I then went to the Walmart Vision Center in Eldersburg, MD and had an amazing experience.
There were not as many options of glasses in the Walmart Vision Center as there were in Lens Crafters, but I did find several frames that I liked, and then found two that I really loved. I picked one that I loved, and the glasses came in four days before their expected date, which was awesome. The glasses feel great and do not feel cheap. My prescription is -8.75 and -9.75 so I am used to spending a decent amount of money on lenses to make sure they are high index and as thin as possible, but these glasses were only around $250. They are much cuter and better quality than the glasses from Lens Crafters, I am very impressed. The employee who sold me the glasses and the employee who fitted the glasses on me once they came in were both so nice and professional. I do believe that the employees I met knew exactly what they were doing, and they did a great job to satisfy me.
When it comes to quality lenses this is not the place you want to go. They say if you are not happy you can be reimbursed but they will fight you tooth and nail about doing it. They will find every excuse in the book as to why their high definition lenses aren't letting you see correctly, from "it's the shape of your new frames" to "well, your prescription has been upped by your doctor so that's why you can't see clearly"... Yes, seriously, it's almost comical. Save yourself the aggravation and realize that Walmart is subpar in all they sell when it comes to quality and workmanship and their eyeglasses are no exception.
Vision Center Optometrist. I went to see him in Walmart vision center at 1900 Eglinton Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1L 2L9. I am totally upset with his service of the optometrist. The prescription he wrote is not readable at all. I asked him, "I want to order the glasses in online so I need to read what you wrote." He said, "It's all technical term you can't read" so I can't order my glass in online. I just spoiled my time and money with him. And recommend no one should go there at least visit the Walmart optometrist.
I ordered glasses recently from Walmart and noticed there are very visible circles with numbers on the sides of the lenses. The optical associate said that “everyone” has these on their glasses but I’m just “more bothered by it than most.” I looked at my older glasses and they definitely do not have this issue. The etchings cause halos when I look in the rear view mirror and is extremely distracting. In addition, the nose pads became green inside where the metal is within about 3 weeks. When I took them in, the associate told me “it’s because of sweat.” None of my glasses have ever had these issues. And I have certainly not started to suddenly sweat profusely. This is the last pair of glasses I’ll ever get from Walmart.
I had my eyes examined by an ophthalmologist and there was a slight change in my left eye. Eye health was good. I took the prescription to the Walmart Vision center and picked out some frames. The woman waiting on me was quite pleasant as she transcribed the information into the computer. I paid and 4 days later was called saying my glasses were ready. A different associate waited on me and when I put on the new glasses I saw two of everything. The woman told me to close one eye and see if things were clear and repeated for the other eye. Things were ok one eye at a time but the minute I opened both eyes it was two of everything. The woman said that my eyes were used to my old glasses so I should not put the new glasses on until I woke the next day. My eyes would then adjust to the new lenses.
As my eyes were trying to adjust the next day, I noticed that with one eye at a time there was only one spot in the lens where things were clear. Things were blurry when looking through other areas of the lenses. After two hours I had a headache so put on my old glasses and returned to the store. They didn't really want to send them back except for the focusing problem. A week later I was called again. Glasses ready. Once again I saw two of everything but the focus issue had been fixed. I took the new glasses to my eye doctor and the prescription was correct except they added prism to the left lens which was not on the prescription. Back to Walmart. A new associate came out with the last one I spoke with. Right away she said that there was nothing they could do because the lenses were correct. Her tone was a bit nasty so I told her that prism had been added which was not on the prescription.
The man associate took them into their lab to check them. He came out with the new glasses with a few dots on the right lens. He had me put them on to see where my pupils lined up so they could move the prism to the right spot. I again told him that prism was not on the prescription so do not put it there. He said ok and when they come back all will be good. So I wait hoping they get it right this time. If not I'll ask for my money back and get them made elsewhere.
Please read the reviews before going to get glasses or contacts at this store. I went in to report a defect in the lens of my glasses, which I purchased in 2017. One lens had a blotch which looked like condensation, so the associate looked at it and went on the computer and curtly answered, "You must have gotten water in it. You need an eye exam because it's after two years. Have a nice day." I was flawed and felt totally dismissed. I went to Cohen's Optical and the associate immediately said "Let me see what's going on here." She popped the lens and we saw the the lens was peeling. The doctor came out and looked and said that it has nothing to do with moisture, it's a defect in the lens. The associate at Walmart couldn't be bothered to take the extra step. These people do not know what to do if they are challenged with a question or problem that's not in their scripts.
I was not looking to get reimbursed or make a problem, I just wanted to replace the lens until I could get a new pair, and I was willing to pay cash. I do think that the lens manufacturer should be informed of this problem so no one else goes through this. The associates at Walmart Optical are poorly trained and have no respect or regard for the customer. I know their glasses are cheap, but you get what you pay for! Sometimes cheap equates to inferior products and customer service, and in this case it did. When I called the manager, it seemed that the associate covered her tracks by saying she popped the lens and looked at it closely. That was a lie and just me more intent on exposing the poor service from this location.
Stripped out and lost the screw to my frames. Then I have to listen to condescension and excuses. You people aren't superior to the rest of us. Your condescending manner only pisses us off. I won't be coming back. Toilet grade shopping experience.
I picked up my glasses and when I put them on my vision was distorted. I was told it would take a bit to adjust to them. I had two days of vicious headaches and dizziness. I returned them to the same vision center for a full refund. The tech on duty checked the prescription and it was not even close to mine. I called corporate headquarters and was told I would receive a callback within 3 days. This was two weeks ago. Poor quality, terrible service and medically this could have been a disaster. Walmart Corporation does NOT care about their customers and the vision center lab is pathetic and inaccurate. Go to Eyemart instead. They have excellent service, full warranty and they get your prescription correct.
Went to Wal-Mart in Beeville TX. Got an eye exam for my husband and myself. We both needed glasses. Within 4 months the lenses of my husband's glasses look as if someone peeled tint off a window. He is a truck driver and had been out of town for a couple months but we took them back after having them 6 months but could only wear them for 4 months and they said they are not covered as we paid extra for scratch resistant. The lady said they looked scratched no...they look like tint was pulled off. I just noticed mine are doing the same thing. I guess there is a difference in where you buy glasses or have them made. Seems we threw away 900.00 in 2 pairs of glasses.
I had a terrible experience with Walmart Optical. I have purchase years ago bifocal glasses from Lenscrafter, I thought I should have extra pair and decided to save money and buy the spare glasses from Walmart Supercenter #2593 E Serene Ave, Las Vegas. I regret I didn't read the many bad reviews of Walmart Vision Center eye care Service.
Long story short after spent money on the Store optometrist's prescription, and waiting 3 weeks for the glasses, it came out all wrong, the first time I put them on I couldn't read signs across the store. It was all blur out. I been told I have to get use to them for couple weeks. Well, it was all a 'get around' excuse. I end up not wearing the new glasses. I will never do business with Walmart Optical again. You should never try to bargain when it comes to your eye care. Let Walmart do their core business selling bulk groceries and merchandise, trusting your eyes at a place that provide optical service only and not with company that sell, vegetables bread cheese electronics and tires.
I went to Walmart Vision Center in Rohnert Park to get my post cataract surgery glasses fitted. It's a long process - to get all the paperwork right for Medicare coverage; it involves various phone calls between the Center and the Doctor's office. Ana **, the Vision Center Manager helped me with my order. I cannot say enough good things about Ana. She was always courteous; full of patience, and always pleasant no matter how frustration the process was. Thumbs up, Ana!!
I had an eye exam scheduled with a reputable eye dr in Timonium Md. When I arrived for my appointment I was informed that they made a mistake and wouldn't accept my insurance. Frustrated I called the Cockeysville Walmart Vision Center to see if they accepted it. Not only did the lady say that they accept my insurance, but she told me to come right in and they would see me immediately. Being that I took off work, it was amazing that they were willing to see me on such short notice. When I arrived I was immediately greeted. The appointment went smoothly and the dr was amazing. She was thorough and helpful. The ladies in the front were extremely friendly and helpful. I picked out a pair of frames in no time with their wonderful customer service. I will continue to go to this vision center from now on. I cannot commend the ladies at the Cockeysville Walmart enough. They are darling!!!
The eyeglass selection was as good as anywhere I have been, and cheaper too, for name brands. The supervisor and other employees were very knowledgeable and so pleasant. I actually had fun in the Hilliard store. I did not have to wait long to be seen. The wait time to get my glasses does not seem to be too long either. I would recommend this vision center to anyone. GREAT JOB WALMART!!!
I purchase two reading glasses from Vision Center in Walmart, Phillipsburg NJ, paid $432.00. Receive them in February 2019, in March 15 I discovered scratch in one lens. Went to the store. They told me the warranty is for 30 days only. Any reputable company give 90 days. When I call the company (Vision Center) and told them that on my receipt it doesn’t say anything about warranty, She told to look at the Website. Really nice! So anyone who wants to buy from Walmart Vision Center should go to the website before purchasing. What a fraud company. Of course they offer me to buy insurance for 1 year for $25.00. If you think you getting it cheap it’s not worthy. I will never buy again at Vision Center inside Walmart. I think they’re inside Walmart because they have bad reputation. And now Walmart getting the bad publicity.
I have used the Ft. Payne Vision Center for many years now and have been satisfied until my last visit to get a new prescription for glasses. I made the appointment to see the doctor and then it was a month or two later before I actually bought my new glasses. I do not have vision insurance, so it took me a couple months to save the money for the frames and new lenses.
Once I got them I was unhappy with them (not the frames, the lenses). I mentioned this to one of the women that works there. I wasn't able to see as well in the new lenses as my old ones. She said to give it a couple of weeks and see if my vision adjusted. I did this and it didn't get any better, so I went back. The same woman told me that because I waited a couple of months AFTER having my eyes checked to get my glasses that my vision probably changed in that amount of time and that was why I couldn't see well out of the lenses. So basically I spent around $400 for nothing because I am still wearing my old glasses. I will not go back there.
When I purchased my eyewear the associate was clear about the warranty. My glasses keep falling off and the vision is not clear. I was told I would have to get a note from the doctor about the rx. What???
Ok, I got a pair of glasses from Walmart and I have to say they were fine for 4 months and today I cleaned the lenses and out of nowhere the left lens just keeps falling out, and when I put the lens back in and try to once again clean it doesn't wanna stay in... NEVER GET GLASSES FROM WALMART EVER! Unless you wanna waste your money.
Excellent service at the location Walmart on 9555 S Post Oak Rd Houston. The MANAGER MRS ** was very nice and helpful. She gave us %20 off on the total amount. Very social, and friendly. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately the other reviews are correct. The doctors here are very capable - the staff is incompetent and uncaring. Previously the staff has "lost" my file, "lost" my order for contact lenses (it took me 4 months to receive two boxes of contacts), and today I had to wait 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time for a 3 minute follow up visit. Three strikes and you're out. Skip this place if you value professional service.
I went there for a contact lens exam to hopefully get a pair of trial lenses until the lenses I had on order came in. Paid the extra money for the CLE out of pocket because my insurance did not cover it. While I was there I asked for a copy of my RX. The optometrist wrote it up on the spot. Then the optician in charge of helping me said I was covered for a pair of basic glasses. So I found a pair I 80% liked (the selection isn't great there) and the lady went on and about how that frame is going to make my lenses look too thick, kept shoving a different pair in my face and telling me these looked better. She was being rude and pushy so I decided to just get them so I could get out of there before I told her off.
So I wait the two weeks. The paper they came with has a completely different RX on it. My PD is wrong in the left lens and I feel like I'm in a fish bowl when wearing them and the temples flex outwards when they are on my face meaning my eye size on the frame is too small. Oh and did I mention these glasses make me look like a serial killer? Thanks Laurie **. I hope one day you find a job that you're competent at because customer service and your ability to find frames that look good AND fit your customer sucks.
I went into Walmart Vision in Suisun Ca Feb 6, 2019. What started out as a wonderful experience ended up a huge disappointment. Once I picked out two pair of glasses went to the register to use my Care Credit card and the strip was demagnetized. I asked the clerk could she put the card in manually and she said they are not allowed to do that.
I called Care Credit from the store (because the clerk would not) and Care Credit gave her a 1800 number to Provider Service to walk her through how to process. She would not call the number instead she said she would talk to her supervisor in the morning. I called the supervisor this morning and Care Credit, and the supervisor said it is not they don't know how to put the card in manually but Walmart would fire them if they put the card in manually. Needless to say, I am very disappointed that they would not even call provider service. Poor service.
I called ahead to make an appointment to get an eye exam for contact lenses at the location in North Bergen, NJ. I was told to come at 5pm and that it was a walk-in. I arrived at 4:50pm. Around 5pm, a staff member said that I came too late because the optometrist wanted to leave at 5pm. She added that I should’ve called prior to coming. I told her that I did call and was told to come in at 5pm. At that point, another staff member said, “she did call and we did tell her to come at 5. The doctor just doesn’t want to see her.” I didn’t bother arguing. Even if the doctor saw me, I really didn’t want someone who did not want to see me (and upset) examining my eyes. Very disappointed.
I will not recommend this place to anyone. Very poor communication and services. The optometrist had given me a run around with my glasses etc. I will no longer go back! You should know about what date the glasses will be in. It should not take 2-3 weeks to get glasses in.
When I tried my new glasses on at the Walmart Vision Center on Hamilton Church Rd in Antioch, TN I was unable to read with with them. The lenses did not have my bifocals prescription. They had to be sent back. Another 2 week wait. This time the glasses Seemed to be fine, but I was unable to Clean them. I used the wet lens cleaner and the dry. Nothing worked. They always seemed dirty. By the time 3 months had rolled around I was unable see with them. I had to start using my old glasses I had had for 3 years. I was told that there was a 1 year warranty when I bought these glasses. But when I took them back to the store I was told that was just for the frames. So I am out almost $400.00.
I had to have new glasses so I went to another vision center and explain what happened at Walmart Vision Center. They took a look at the glasses that Walmart wouldn't stand by and explained to me that the scratch resistant film that they put on the lenses had not been put on correctly. That is why I couldn't seem to get them clean. This film was tearing and rolling up. So after 3 months of wear they were useless.
I returned to the Walmart Vision Center and told the girl there what the other vision center had told me. She didn't look at them. She just went to her computer. She told me she was unable to do anything about it as there was only a 60 day warranty in the lenses. Even when this is faulty workmanship? I asked, she just shrugged her shoulders. Again, I'm out $400.00. I had to pay another $350.00 to get another pair from a different company. I will pick them up today. Hopefully they will better than the ones I got at Walmart.
Needed a cheap replacement pair of glasses to hold me over until I could afford to get a better pair so I attempted the Walmart Vision Center in Cambridge, MD. Should have just dished out the cash and gone somewhere else to begin with... My prescription had expired so they wouldn't accept it without an exam. Doctor is only available 2 days a week, Wed and Thurs, so unless you're unemployed it's inconvenient to begin with. I told him I only use my glasses for seeing distance while driving or night vision, and somehow this translated to "my eyes aren't focusing correctly" so he's the first doctor in 32 years to tell me I have astigmatism, a developing lazy eye, my eyes are misaligned, and I need to start wearing prism glasses full time to correct it. I assumed he knew what he was talking about (he did not...).
The staff was rude and nasty and couldn't wait to get me out after I chose frames. The only positive thing I can say is the glasses were completed pretty timely, about 5 days. Once I picked them up and tried them on, I knew immediately they were wrong, I couldn't see. The optician said it was the prism and that I "had to get used to it", and to give it 2 weeks to adjust. I've been wearing glasses my entire life, and never before had anyone said I needed to give them time to adjust. I brought them back the next day and demanded they be redone without the prism.
The doctor and center manager fought it, saying it's to correct my eyes, but eventually they caved. The second pair had no prism but the distance vision was still off, the ENTIRE reason I needed them, and still they told me my eyes would adjust. No, they won't, and you'll give me my money back. I scheduled a second opinion at a more reputable eye doctor who basically said no, my eyes are fine, and the prescription strength was even too strong. TL;DR- Doctor was a joke and pushed something I DID NOT need to correct a vision issue I DID NOT have. Spend a little more money to go somewhere else.
I got my eyes examined at Walmart vision center in Philadelphia on 4600 Roosevelt Blvd. The customer service was horrible. No one greeted me when I walked in and I needed to ask for assistance. Staff was not helpful in answering my questions and had an attitude that I was asking question. I went to get new frames but was told it was not cover under my insurance after I called and was told I could Come pick out a pair of frames. No one helped me or directed me where to look but was told frames start off at 9-150.
After I couldn’t find frames I liked with little help, I then asked for my prescription and told I couldn’t be provided with one until the doctor was and they were not allowed to print it out for. The place left a bad taste in my house along with the attitudes of the associates at this store location. While I waited they continued to have side conversations about other employees that were not present. That was very unprofessional. Save your time and don’t go to this location.
Went to Walmart Vision in Connellsville, Pa for an emergency replacement of basketball goggles for my Senior. After 10 days the glasses are still not in. Upon ordering, we were told the glasses would arrive on 12/28/18. Today is 12/31/18 and they cannot give me a date they will arrive. Nikki was very unhelpful. We told her my daughter was unable to play until we received these and only purchased them because we were told they would arrive by the 28th. We paid full price for the sport goggles and lenses and did not use insurance. Nikki was informed that my child was benched until these were received. I also complained about the delay.
I asked Nikki when they would be in and she was unable to give me an answer and simply said, “You will have to wait a few more days.” Nikki said that I could return them for a full refund at any time. The most unhelpful and worst customer service we have ever had to deal with. I then called the corporate 1-800 number to inquire about when the glasses would be in and I was informed someone would call me back in 1-3 days. This is absolutely unacceptable customer service and my child is missing her sport during her senior year.
I ordered a pair of glasses back in August and when I ordered them I told them they were a back up for the pair I had at the time. The glasses came in and the frame was sitting on my nose. They adjusted the glasses and the person told me they had a one year warranty if I had any issues to come back in. I put them on and the frame no longer touched my nose but it raised the bifocal line. I put them on the other day because the lens fell out of my original pair. After having them on for an hour they gave me a headache because the bifocal is too high.
I went back to the Walmart vision center where I purchased them at. They more or less told me they could do nothing but replace the lenses and that would cost me another 57 dollars because the lenses only have a 60 day warranty. I am a disable military veteran on a fixed income. If they had told me that at the time of purchase I would have worn them and known sooner that I had an issue with the glasses. It would have been nice if he had told me that lenses were only warrantied for 60 days instead of misleading me to think they were for a year. I will never use Walmart vision center (st#01476) located at 1351 veterans PKWY Clarksville Indiana 47129 and will tell everyone I know to never use them.
First time contact wearer. Had exam at Wal-Mart. Waited for contacts. Told doctor trial pair was bugging my eye and not right. Eye doctor told me I'll have to get use to them and he himself put them back in my eye. My order contacts come in so I tossed trial pair, put new ones in. They hurt so I took them out. Week later opened a brand new set of contacts straight out of shower. Hurt my eye but I thought I'd have to get use to it like doctor said. I now am currently seeing double out of one eye because the contacts cause me to get an ulcer and my eye mucus and matted shut. It was so painful. And it was just a bad deal. The contacts was wrong. Bad or something but Walmart won't even say sorry. Now my vision is so much worse. Caution don't go to Walmart Vision because when something major happens they don't stand behind their work. I had to go see other eye doctor. Do not shop Walmart Vision.
This is the second time in two years that I have gone to the Vision Center in Walmart #2512,1825 W Bell Rd, Phoenix, AZ.85023. Both times the exam was completely off. I had to go to another eye doctor's office for another exam to get the correct prescription. This time I asked for a refund for the faulty work they did regarding the eye exam. I was refused. I was told that it was company policy NOT to pay refunds on Professional Services. I think that it is time to CHALLENGE their Company Policy, at a class action level.
The Vision Center, from the dissatisfied reviews on this site alone, demands it. I am retired from my last position as Chief Operating Officer at a law firm here in Phoenix and I'd like to invite any and all patients and clients who have the same thing done to you, to join me in this class action, to challenge and change this company's policy. They have billed enough revenue out of the poor, the aged and retired people that cannot afford to go to a more reliable source for eyeglasses and contacts, as well as the insurance companies to whom the patients pay their premiums.
I returned a defective product with receipt within the time frame but the manager accused me of intentionally damaging the product & refuse the return. I will never shop at this store again & let my friends know about my very bad experience.
When ordering contact lenses, was not told they did not have them in stock. Received an email two days later stating on backorder and would not be available for two weeks. After waiting almost three weeks, called to inquire and Walmart still could not give a shipping date. Also paid for expedited shipping which adds insult to injury. I would not recommend anyone sensible person use Walmart Vision services. Inept, uncaring, and disorganized. I have to wonder about their other health services. I will never use again.
The optometrist was excellent, the eyeglass center was a disaster, I'm 50 and this is the second time in my life I've written a review. Ordered progressive lenses And received bifocals which I can't wear. The agent tried to sell me expensive glasses and I was not made aware of cheaper alternatives until I started to leave, was not made aware of the wait, was not called when they arrived (was told my they called and my phone was busy, no message and I guess my call waiting wasn't working that day). Clearly a terrible experience, terrible customer service from beginning to end. The agent was focused on a commission and not the best interest of the customer. I'm now wearing the same dollar store glasses I've had for 3 years, I can't afford to go to another store; I went to Walmart because they advertised the lowest cost. Get it our prescription and order online or another retailer.
I got a pair glasses about 4 months ago non-glare scratch resistant and transitions glasses. Spent almost $300 on them. I was told when I bought him 6 month warranty on the lenses. They lied to me about that and they will not replace defective lenses now. They got a crack in it on seeing spots when when I'm wearing in a year warranty on the frames. They lie to me about that too. Worse place to buy glasses. I would never ever again buying them from them. Walmart can go ** themselves. I'm not going nearby used car so why does he need to ** lie to me like that. Advice for y'all never buy a pair of glasses from Walmart.
I placed an order of Marc Jacobs Optical glasses. When they arrived they were a pair of poorly made cheap knockoffs (counterfeit)! Isn’t it illegal to sell counterfeit in the USA? I mailed them back over one month ago and I still haven’t gotten my refund. The third party that shipped this item ELEGANZA claimed they were true Marc Jacobs which is a lie and they claim they received them and were issuing me a refund, which was another lie. For over a monthly I have called and emailed. No one returns my call and no one responds to my emails. How this online store is able to get away with constantly ripping off consumers is beyond me. I would not ever purchase anything from Walmart again ever!!!
Worst pair of glasses I've ever had. They don't reduce glare and they scratch with any cloth you use. There's a thin plastic film on the lens that is supposed to make it harder to scratch, nope. If there's any dust at all on it they will scratch. Put my pair of glasses on this morning and a hinge snapped off. Damn. My face isn't that big. You have to wash them with mild dish soap and warm water if you don't want them scratching. But when I had a different pair with a different place I could use my shirt to get the dust off my lens without it scratching.
It's just a scam going after people with no insurance. You think you're getting a deal but you're most certainly are not. I also went all out when I got them. They cost me about 350. I've had them for about 5, 6 months maybe so I'll be wanting to get them replaced or repaired and then I still want the warranty for a full year because I live 50 miles away and this is a horrible inconvenience for me. If someone pays that amount of money for something it better last. If you bought a game console for 350 would you want the controller breaking when you picked it up? No. Come Walmart have some Quality in your products!!!
Walmart eye vision center sold me a bill of goods of non glare on glass lens and it did not do what they stated it would. I was overcharged $99.98 for option non glare. They quote the lens with same stuff you can buy on eBay for $1 to $2 a bottle. It will not reduced night glare from oncoming car headlight like they said it would. I got ripped off, don't buy the options, and the $130 eyeglass frame I purchased from Walmart came apart in 2 months and they only allow 1 repair replace under 1 year warranty, so I need to pray to God these other frames do not fall apart like the first pair. Oh I found out those $130 frames are made in China, so Walmart must of paid $3.00 for them. I will never use Walmart Eye Vision Center again. Plus they told me nothing they can do about the car headlight night glare. I was still getting even after I paid them $99.98 for non glare option, so I placed dispute in with my charge card. Walmart Store was on CR 54 New Port Richey, Fl.
Seen it here. Shame on me for not checking the reviews here. Figured Walmart couldn't foul up a pair of glasses to bad. WRONG. I needed a budget pair of glasses. So I checked a few places and lo and behold Walmart was cheapest. Went in and the fellow said Walmart's glasses were the cheapest and as good as any glasses shop out there. They did beat the price by $100.00. All the same the frames had loose screws when I left the store. The lenses scratch way too easy even with the scratch resistant lens. Lasted 3 weeks cleaning with soft cloth. Scratched beyond use and taking care to be extra careful. Then again should have checked. A lot of reviews said they scratch easy from Wal-Mart.
I have spend thousands on glasses at the Walmart vision center for me and my family's glasses. I took my damaged glasses in to get the lenses replaced under our warranty. This was almost 4 months ago and they have made them three time with the wrong prescription. The last time they mailed them to me as a round trip is 3 hours drive each time. They were wrong again so I called the store manager and she asked me to send the original prescription to her. So I called my eye doctor and he send it to me and the store. I then faxed it also myself to the number the managers gave me and got a confirmation they received it. This was two weeks ago. Just called them to what is going on and they said I do not have anything coming. I am about to file a small claims suit against them. I have not been able to drive for about 4 months now without my glasses. Never in my life have we received just messed up service.
Shame on me for not checking the low reviews on this business. If I had, I would never have given them my business. I ordered glasses from the N Navy blvd. Pensacola Fl. store on a Thursday and was told they would be available the next Wednesday or sooner. I visited the store for groceries the next Thursday and decided to check on my glasses. There was another lady working there. She told me that she was not authorized to give out glasses to customer and the lady that could give me the glasses was off that day and would not be back until the following Monday. So, even if my glasses arrive at the store, I can't get them for another 4 days. So, instead of 7 days as shown on my sales receipt it will take at least 11 days. To me this is absurd for a business to make promises that they can't deliver on and that any business would not have personnel to properly run their business for 4 days.
I arrived at Walmart Vision Center at 4424 W. Wendover Ave. on Aug. 11, 2018 around 04:50 PM, the female employees there were really so rude, they show no respect to citizens who speak English with an accent. Instead of checking out the 4 frames I purchased for my children and myself, one employee impolitely asked me to order the frames rather than taking them from shelves as I'm taking LARGE SUPPLY from the store.
I arrived at Walmart Vision Center Fort Ogle, GA 15 min before my appointment. I filled out the paperwork and handed it back 5 min before my appointment 9:30 because I had received a reminder call on Sunday. About 9:32 they checked my pressure and correction then told me to wait, the Dr. was running late. At 9:44 I asked where the Dr. lived, the reception said she didn’t know, and I said I checked traffic on my phone and there wasn’t any problems, she replied that’s what she was told. I said I understand but the Dr. didn’t think my time was worth anything then if I was called to remind me to be on time and he's late for no apparent reason. At 9:49 Dr. arrives and checkup went thru.
Then the checkout. First she couldn’t find me in the insurance database and didn’t know how to add, this took 10 min. She finally asked for help. Then she couldn’t figure out how to add the contacts to my bill. Why she was working there I couldn’t figure out. At least the computer was already on because I know she would have never figured that out. So finally after another 10 min I went to ask another worker to help her get me out of there. I really think she did this stall maneuver on purpose. You can't be this inept and they leave you at a register. So I called Walmart and told the girl I wanted to file a complaint on Vision Center. After 4 min a guy answers. Said he was assoc. manager but wouldn’t give me a place to file a complaint. So I told him the story and he said he would go and check to see what was going on. I think I've been lied to 4 times already today.
Staff polite and helpful but frames not similar in color to the ones I picked out. I picked out very pink translucent Sophia Loren frames. What arrived were nearly clear frames with a hint of pink. The technician switched them out with the floor sample which was still not as pink as the frames I selected. I am very disappointed.
Now for the lenses. I ordered progressive lenses which I am very used to. There was a slight change in my prescription. The minute I put these glasses on and tried to read or use for midvision everything was blurry. The technician adjusted the frame several times. It helped a little. He said if I get another eye exam they will change the lenses for free if the prescription changes. So now I have to pay for another eye exam, see if the glasses are correctly made and if not probably go somewhere else to have them made where I can get the right frame and prescription. I wasted $489.00 because the glasses give me a terrible headache. I can't wear them. I suspect they don't have certified optical technicians and may use knock-off or "second" designer frames. In the end Walmart is not a bargain.
Selecting my glasses was easy. It was put together well. I felt the value of my glasses was excellent compared to other glass purchases. The Vision clerks were well trained and went out of their way to help you chose a flattering frame and make sure your selection was right for you. I received my glasses in a timely manner. Overall service was good.
Went and ordered prescription eyewear from Vision Center at Walmart 5501 Highway 6, Missouri City TX 77459. Forgot to specify "no-line bifocals" when ordering. The sales associate did not mention or offer this option when ordering. Went and picked up the glasses on May 13, 2018. The glasses had lines and this would greatly impair my reading ability and the glasses were useless with the lines in them. Particularly with this pair which is smaller in size too.
The sales associate was very "interrogatory" and unprofessional in her tone and communication and I felt that she is harassing and I felt very distressed with her style. She said I may need to get a new prescription for glasses as this pair is not working. The problem is the glasses were smaller and when you have a line at the bottom portion one have to squint to see through at the bottom section to read. Instead of trying to understanding the problem, she was loud and unprofessional. Will go back on Monday the 14th to see if it could be fixed.
I scheduled an eye exam so I could get a prescription to be able to get glasses online. I didn’t know at the time that Medicaid would help with the cost so I was paying $50 out of pocket anyway. The doctor was clearly annoyed when doing the distance exam. He tried pushing a contact prescription and contact lens package on me, even though I repeatedly told him I wasn’t interested and needed glasses to give my eyes a break. When the exam was over he had me go to the desk to check out and I asked for the prescription to be wrote down so I could get glasses. He didn’t give me the pupillary distance which I needed to fill my glasses prescription. So I asked the receptionist if I could go back in there and ask a question, when I walked in and asked him, he honestly told me, “I cannot help you, you need to leave.”
Shocked I asked the receptionist why he couldn’t give me information on my prescription, she then told me, after I paid the $50, that they don’t give the PD out unless you buy glasses from them. I’ve never met a more unprofessional doctor. How’re you not going to give someone information about their eyes because they don’t wanna pay for overpriced glasses anyways? I ended up figuring out how to measure it and ordered two pairs of glasses with my really strong prescription for just $170 off EyeBuyDirect. I highly recommend them, but I’ll never recommend going to the Vision Center at Walmart, I’m going to look into contacting someone about it as well because it's ridiculous.
In January of last year (2017), I received a notice from the Walmart Vision Center in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, saying that I was due for my periodic eye examination. In February of last year, I called the Vision Center to set-up an appointment with their optometrist. During the examination, I was given a new prescription, and I was told that I needed surgery in both of my eyes. I asked the optometrist if he could recommend a surgeon, and he did.
Immediately after the examination, I ordered two new pairs of glasses from the Vision Center (for a total of $884.10). I also had a technician replace a missing rim screw for my old glasses. I ordered the new glasses at that time, because I did NOT know that my prescription would change as a result of the surgeries. And no one at the Vision Center advised me about that. If I had been advised that my prescription would change as a result of the surgeries, I would have ordered the new glasses AFTER the surgeries. (I was NOT having any significant vision problems with my old glasses).
In June of last year, after both surgeries had been completed, the surgeon gave me a new prescription. A few days later, I called the Vision Center. I explained the situation to them, and I requested that they replace my lenses at no cost to me. They refused to do so. As a result, I went to another store and bought two more new pairs of glasses. In November of last year, I sent a complaint to the Better Business Bureau regarding this matter. In response to my complaint, the Vision Center made a FALSE statement to the Better Business Bureau. That is, the Vision Center stated that I demanded that the doctor give me a new prescription because my old glasses were broken.
That statement is false for two reasons: #1: I did NOT “demand” that the doctor give me a new prescription. The doctor gave me a new prescription because I was due for my periodic eye examination. #2: My old glasses were NOT broken. My old glasses had a missing rim screw. And when the technician replaced the missing rim screw, I was able to wear my old glasses with no problem. The Vision Center also stated to the Better Business Bureau that they would be willing to remake my glasses with my new prescription.
My response to that statement was as follows: #1: It would NOT make sense for the Vision Center to remake my glasses NOW, because I already bought two more new pairs of glasses at another store. #2: I made the following request: - For my NEXT prescription (a few years from now), the Vision Center will make TWO pairs of glasses for me at NO cost to me. - The Vision Center will make that promise in writing with no expiration date on that promise.
The Vision Center ignored my request, and the Better Business Bureau closed the case. Before the case was closed, I presented evidence (i.e., four photos) to the Better Business Bureau that contradicted the Vision Center’s false claim that my old glasses were broken. That evidence was ignored. Bottom line: Because the Vision Center did not have the courtesy to advise me regarding the effects of the surgeries, I spent nearly $900 on two pairs of glasses that I was only able to wear for four months. I was a loyal customer to the Walmart Vision Center for a number of years, but they were unwilling to correct a problem that they caused for me because they failed to give me advice that they should have given me.
Went in on March 22, 2018 to pick out eye glasses. We have to pay upfront for Manulife, so I did, paperwork was given to me to send away, I had a question about it when I got home, tried calling and cannot get thru, their machine says "this mailbox is not receiving messages", seriously??? What a way to run a business!!! Over the course of the month (it is now April 21, 2018) I stop in twice to check to see if they are in, the first time the girl (which I might add had way too much make up on) and had an attitude that would turn a horse from its oats, was extremely rude when I told her how frustrating it was that I could not get through on the phone, her answer "I'm sorry you feel that way, but we do not have a receptionist", well no kidding Einstein, I can see that, but it isn't like the store is so filled with people that they couldn't answer the phone. This is the first and last time I will EVER go to Walmart for glasses.
Lesson learned. I will stick with my Vogue Optical, they are very professional and courteous. My husband stopped in on Friday, the 20th, guess what, the glasses are in and surprise no phone call made to me which they stated they would do and no sunglasses in yet either which there was apparently a problem with. So done with this place and I will be letting everyone at my workplace know as well and I work in a hospital with a lot of staff who wear glasses.
I bought glasses at Walmart in Winchester, Va in Oct 2017. By Dec they had scratches. I used the little cloth they give you and bought a box of the wet wipes they sell. Went back to see if they would make them good. "Too bad, so sad," was the response I got. Will never buy glasses from them again. Will just have to use them until I can afford new ones. I will tell everyone I know not to buy glasses from Walmart!!!
I had an appointment for an exam. Went in and the guy told me my medical coverage had been terminated so I rescheduled appointment. Called my provider. They said my insurance was fine and was still active. I called the Vision Center and then they told me something different that I had multiple plans and that I didn’t have any eligibility for coverage through my insurance. They have wasted my time. Now I have to find another eye doctor and they’ve lost business!!!
Well my son broke his glasses... I took them to the Wal-Mart eye center within time... They told me they do not make his glasses no more... So they put a totally different color earpiece on It, Don't Fit. It's going to break in days. I was very unsatisfied. The glasses I bought did not look anything like what they brought me for me to walk out with for my child to wear. I feel as if they could of offered another pair or something.
They forgot about my appointment and I had to wait in line. Went there to get a specific eye drops prescription to treat eye inflammation. Didn't get. Absolute waste of my time and money. Vision Center at Walmart in Mountain View, CA. Do yourself a service and go to a reputable place!
When I went to pick up my glasses everything in the right lens was off. Things distorted/slanting. Took glasses back, and, was told, "Yes seemed to be something not right" that they’d send them out for a remake. Again upon 2nd pickup still a problem; and, oh, by the way they never called when they were ready. I had to follow up quite frequently. Went to pick up glasses, at 2nd attempt to get lens remade, and, not being correct, I did try to wear them a few days. Just because they insisted new RX “takes time to adjust to". Attempted to wear them even though my vision was VERY distorted in the right lens. Took back and was told they’d send to a DIFFERENT lab BUT I explained they’d had 2 attempts and since they weren’t able to get glasses right I wanted a refund to go somewhere else as I needed my glasses!!
Next day took them back for a refund. I explained that since I paid in cash I should receive cash!! Their reply: No. They would have to send a check in 2 to 3 weeks!?!? Expressed they should give me cash as I had paid cash!! Was told no at first BUT I went back several times insisting they should refund the same way I paid, minus the insurance part. They FINALLY did. During this whole terrible ordeal I tried to remain calm & not get my blood pressure up as I’ve had 2 mini strokes from stress, and, I surely wasn’t gonna let this happen... If you want rude service & defective glasses go to West Columbia SC Vision Ctr.
My night driving glasses were crushed in a vehicle roll over. I had called for business hours. MOST are open until 7. I was told Lafayette Walmart closed @ 6. Signs posted closed @ 6. I get off work early in order to drive the hour to the "most convenient" to my home. I get there a little before 5 and was told the licensed person I needed had gone for the day and it would be Friday before they would return. There is NOTHING posted with this info, nor when I called was this info offered.
I asked what is the point of being open if no one could assist. I was told that is when they do their paperwork and take calls. REALLY!!!! TOTALLY false advertisement. No reason to go back to that one. I did go to Walmart in FT. Oglethorpe. Within 20 minutes, I had EXCELLENT service. Order placed. RUSH put on my order. "Lexi" saw the urgency in a person driving that cannot see. I will NEVER go back to Lafayette store, even though it is 2 miles from my home. TOTALLY lost a customer and I do intend to spread the word.
The glasses they gave me are wrong the first time! Second time glasses gave me severe migraines. Ended up in the emergency room! Have never had a migraine in my life! Walmart refuse to do anything about this! I paid $500 for the terrible headache which didn't cover my emergency room visit! Please let me know what to do. This is ridiculous!
If you ever listen to a review heed this warning. Purchased glasses. They came in. Everything in one lens was off. Everything badly tilted. Took glasses back. They said they sent them out to remake the lens. They never did and called they were done. Went to pick up glasses, nothing had been done and they unscrewed the lens that did not need fixing. That was done to make it look as if they had the lens remade. Picked them up. Attempted to wear them. Horrid vision from the right lens. Next day took them back for a refund.
I had paid in cash so should have received cash back. No they are sending a check in 2 to 3 weeks, long time when you paid in cash. Asked if they could give me cash like I had paid. They called the police on me. No joke. I never yelled or anything. Was calm doing whole interaction. I have never had the police called on me in my life or did I deserve it by Walmart Vision of Queensbury, NY. I have never felt so abused in my life. If you want rude service and the police called on you if they make you defective glasses. Walmart Vision center of Queensbury, NY is a place to avoid at all costs.
I really liked that the examiner took his time and tested each eye various ways. I was completely satisfied. I have gone to another Wal-Mart and it was OK but this new location was so much better. They have a good assortment for the value.
Went to Ledgewood NJ Walmart Vision Center. Liked a pair of glasses. Frames were 150 and God knows how much they were charging for transitions lenses but the total would have been 450 dollars before insurance and after insurance 350. I think they don't know pricing with insurance. I purchased the glasses then went online 20 mins later and found the frames online for 75... And when I called to cancel the guy couldn't be more ruder. They need to teach their employees to be tolerant.
They never informed me I could use another store that accepts Medicaid. Then when I got glasses after paying for them in cash the bifocals were wrong. I could not even see my dash controls. I have already talked to a news station and they suggested for me to visit one more time for the Vision Center to send paperwork to Medicaid and they will pay for glasses. If Vision Center refuses then they will come with me to the store to hear both sides of the story. Thanks.
I went to the Lebanon Walmart Vision Center with a prescription to get my 5 year old glasses on 11/9, the blonde lady working was very unprofessional, rude, and obviously just not wanting to be there! She had no idea what she was doing, looked at me in disbelief that I had vision insurance, but wanted to pay OOP for my son's glasses because that’s the only pair that he likes and that fit him well and Walmart doesn’t accept Humana vision. The lady was so rude that I walked out and didn’t even purchase the glasses for my son, I would rather take my business to LensCrafters, where I have always went and be treated with disrespect. I spoke with quite a few people after the fact that said the same thing. Lebanon Walmart Vision Center is a pathetic excuse for a “business” if that’s what you should even call it.
I recently purchased frames and lens in Walmart Niceville Fl. The young rep was very unprofessional... just too new or lack knowledge and customer treatment issues. I ordered and was not asked about insurance. Glasses arrive and I was told too late... not able to process my insurance after the fact. I have never had this issue any glass wear facility. What is my recourse... not accept the glasses. Course I already paid in full. Another rip off... should pay upon receipt of glasses.
After many years of getting glasses here, the current Manager ran me off with the most horrific treatment I have ever gotten and her actions also have caused me $72 in overdraft fees with my bank... Rolls her eyes when I speak, tells me to "Zip-it" like she is talking to an unwanted stepchild, talks over me, after I filed a complaint about her she told me I am "not welcome in her store". She needs to go.
I took my 4 year old to Wal-Mart vision and was given no direction on when to come back or anything about her lazy eye. He told us for her to wear glasses and sent us on our way. I took her to a different doctor who told us she was given the wrong prescription and now has lost vision in her lazy eye. She now has to wear a patch and we had to pay for new glasses. We now have 2 pairs of glasses that are of no use to us. One pair was not even used. I went back to ask for our money back for the one pair that was not used and got the run around and told it was impossible that she lost vision in her eye by someone who only makes the glasses. Very disappointed and upset with the incompetence displayed by the eye doctor at Wal-Mart vision. I would like my money back for the pair that was not used! I have also now heard a lot more complaints about Wal-Mart's eye doctor.
Purchased glasses from Wal-Mart optical and only to go back more than 5 times for repairs and then they replaced the glasses and still had problems with the glasses falling apart and then the final time when the arm of the glasses fell off and when back they said my warranty was up and they couldn't help me and all they could do it gorilla glue the arm back on. "What service and quality." When I need glasses from now on it won't be a choice I will make to return to Wal-Mart because it won't be worth my time! I would recommend reading glasses from the dollar store before Wal-Mart optical... and I only have this review a 1 star because it wouldn't let me give it a no star!
I have been a Walmart Vision Center customer for around 20 years. In that time I have gotten both glasses and contact lenses from three different Walmart Vision Centers. When it was time for me to get my most recent set of glasses, almost 2 years ago now, I went to the Coal Twp. Walmart Vision Center #2481. I had an eye exam and ordered my glasses as usual. The fit was good and the prescription worked for me to see clearly. As has been my habit, I always clean my glasses only with Walmart's cleaning solution and cleaning cloth. Despite this, after about 6 months of normal wear, the lenses began scratch severely - to the point of making normal vision impossible (even with the scratch resistance coating on them). I took them back to the Vision Center and they were willing to replace them for me. It took about a week of wearing my old prescription glasses until the replacement lenses were in. I thought the problem was fixed.
Another 6 months or so later, and I'm bringing severely scratched lenses back to Walmart Vision center again. Another week of wearing old prescription glasses and another week of waiting for the problem to be fixed. A week, ago, I made my 3rd trip into Walmart's Vision Center to have severely scratched lenses replaced. At first, I was told that the glasses were more than a year old and that the warranty was expired. I pointed out that the lenses were less than a year old and a defective product. The Coal Twp. Vision Center manager offered to replace the lenses one more time. This time she "suddenly realized" that the problem all along was that the anti-glare coating on the lenses was defective - probably the same problem as the 3 previous times I brought severely scratched lenses in. She assured me she would put the order through without the anti-glare coating and that should solve the problem.
It's been a week of wearing a now 5 year old prescription in my old, now broken frames; a week of distorted vision and the dizziness that includes. I called to see if my lenses were in. I was told they were. But, before I could leave to get to the Vision Center to get this 4th set of lenses for these glasses, the Vision Center manager called back to say that the lab had made the new lenses wrong and now I will have to wait another week for the problem to be corrected! This is NOT acceptable quality. This is NOT acceptable customer service. And this is NOT acceptable competence from Walmart's employees; especially toward a long time customer. I repeatedly complained about the defective product that was sold to me. I complained about the defective replacements. Nothing was done to change the coating problem on the lenses.
It has been a hassle and an aggravation for me to have to return and be inconvenienced several times because this problem wasn't corrected by Walmart's Vision Centers. This is not the Walmart I have loyally patronized for 20 years. If they cannot correct these problems, I will urge everyone I know to never patronize Walmart's Vision Centers again. That also goes for me as well. Unless I see a real effort to make up for this lousy product and lousy customer service, I am also done as a Walmart Vision Center customer.
I put my glass prescription in on Aug. 18, 2017. It is now Sept. 18, 2017 and still no glasses. I have been told that the person putting the glass into the frames broke them twice... REALLY... They broke them twice. Who do they have doing this job??? Not very happy at all. They never once called me and told me... It has been me trying to chase them down to get them to answer the phone or having to go to store to talk to them. Will never get glasses there again. They never gave me any order number when I gave them my prescription in store. They just said... They will call when they are done.
My doctor gave me a new prescription and I had a pair of Sunglasses made at MyEyeDoc. They are perfect. I need two pair of regular glasses so I tried Walmart Vision. Using the same prescription as the Sun Glasses, I ordered my glasses. First only one pair came in and the other had to be re-ordered. This happened before I came in for my glasses.
When I did come in for the one pair, they were totally off and everything was blurry. The Optician tried and tried to adjust them, but then finally realized that they had sent in the wrong numbers. So the glasses had to be re-ordered. So now we are at 8/26/17, and I originally came in on July 29th. On August 31, I was notified that the glasses were in. I went to pick them up the same day. And for the second time, my vision was blurry. He again tried every adjustment. I had no intention of going through it again, I asked for and received a refund. At MyEyeDoc, it was done perfectly the first time with my Sunglasses. NEVER AGAIN AT WALMART.
There was a wide selection, and I am quite satisfied with my glasses. The quality is good and the value was very good for the price, which was quite reasonable. I was very pleased with my selection and appreciated the assistance I received from the optician. I received my glasses in a short period of time and I am able if I need any adjustments to just stop in the store even without an appointment, and have any problems corrected.
My wife got glasses from a Walmart Vision Center in South Carolina, in April, 2017. We traveled to California in July, 2017, for a 5-week trip. Early in this time, it became apparent that the glasses were defective -- she, and anyone who looked, could see square patterns on the glass. We went to a Vision Center, and were told that the coating was defective. The manager pulled up our account from South Carolina, and then ordered a replacement, telling us that he expected that the glasses would be delivered to the Vision Center in California within two weeks. Three weeks from our original visit, they have not been so delivered, and we have to go back to South Carolina. We hope that the glasses are eventually delivered there. The manager says that communication with the lab in Fayetteville, Arkansas, is limited.
This is not a critique of the local Vision Centers. Such employees are courteous and helpful. But it IS a criticism of the central laboratory, which, in the first place, produced some defective glasses, and, in the second, did not send a replacement within a reasonable time, and, of course, we are not sure we'll ever get such a replacement, or that, if it comes, it won't be defective.
I felt like was the only customer there and they spoiled me. I was welcomed, got in right away for exam and brought out to the wonderful optician. I tried on several pairs and the gal was right there to show me what she thought I may like. The 9.00 frames have held up wonderfully. Not many in this style but that was ok. Overall, they have great price, great service, great quality.
I bought my first pair of glasses from Walmart. They are progressive lenses. I paid for the most expensive glass Nikon Lenses, with the scratch resistant. The worker told me the warranty was good for a year at the time I bought them, but the scratch would have to be in the vision area. I paid extra for this to be put on them. After 4 months I had scratch my lenses right in the vision area. So I went in to have them fixed. The lady was very rude and told me that the scratch resistant was just that not scratch proof and it had to be filed within the first 90 days! They lied to me and told me it would have a year warranty on scratches. I will never buy glasses from them again.
Be aware Wal-Mart eye care is a scam! Went to get a simple refraction for $65. They then insisted I not pay out of pocket and that I go through a federal or private insurance plan. Seems they want to get to charge someone hundreds more. I said, "No". Then when I gave an old eyeglass prescription, they complained again, as if they were above all that and wanted to run additional tests to amass more charges. They then got mad, said I was rude and they said they did not need me, I needed them. Major arrogance on their part because you only want a refraction not a full expensive eye exam for hundreds of dollars. I left, they are too rude to demand all of that after saying a refraction is $65. Found a better place for $55.
Glasses with progressive lenses - I had issues with the glasses when I picked them up at the store. I told them that the reading and distance was not right - Had to tilt my head way back to get close-up focus and the distance was not right either. They told me to wear them for a while and my eyes may adjust. They did not. I have been struggling for several months - Went into store and they told me I had waited too long - They told me I confused the guarantee of the frames with the lenses.
The technician was rather rude and short with me. I am on a fixed income - a senior - and cannot afford to go get another set of glasses ground correctly. I am very, very, dissatisfied with Walmart - Used to do all my grocery shopping here, and other departments in Walmart, but that has come to an end. I will go out of my way to avoid Walmart and will inform all of my friends and family of the terrible experience I am having. I now have to take my vision prescription to another store, pay again.
I had Progressive lenses made at the Walmart Vision Center on the east side of Casper Wyoming. I was having problems getting used to the progressive lenses and after several weeks was still having trouble finding the right area of the lens for the activity I was doing. So one day I was in Denver and I stopped by the optometrist where I got the prescription for my lenses and they took out their little ruler and made some measurements and could not believe how far off the dimensions were relative to the center of my eye. I'm going to Walmart today and I will follow up with the results. Basically I think I'm dealing with a situation of "you get what you pay for".
I went to Walmart and ordered glasses. The pair I got I was allergic to the nose pieces. Went back 4 times. Had to order new one. After I ordered new ones I get those ones and there are little letters and circles lasered into my one lens and every time I look the left it messes with my vision so I went back. They said it was normal so she bent the glasses around and said is this better. I said ya at first but when I got outside it was no better. Someone better fix it for the price I paid.
I have insurance, however my daughter broke her glasses and her eye doctor was away on vacation... so, I went to North Bergen Vision Center... paid $120.00 to get contact prescription as I already had the eyeglass Rx but they would take too long. She needed eyesight today... so they charged me for both even though we only needed the contact Rx (did I mention I had the old box w/ me but was not allowed to buy until I paid for a recent Rx), this was on 5/6/17. The company I order her contacts emailed me and stated Wal-Mart Vision Center denies my daughter was there??? It's now 18 days later... I uploaded the Rx, faxed it, and emailed it. Now I have to wait an additional 2 weeks to get??? Wow.
Before our experience with Wal-Mart Vision was positive. But this year this is the worst experience I have ever had with ordering glasses. We ordered a first set of glasses for our son (same frame as last year) and about a week later were told to come in and pick them up. When we came we saw that both lenses were popping out of the frame and were much too curved for the frame. Since we had the same exact frame the year before and those lenses were fine, I told them that these don't look right. My son also complained that they were too curved and his vision was distorted. They told us to take them home as he will get used to them. He could not as they were both sticking out of the frame and he was getting a headache. We therefore had to go back and then order a new pair.
When the new pair came in, one of the lenses was okay but the second one was too loose, it looked like it can fall out any day. Again we were told that these are OK to take them home and he will get used to them. We took them home and that one lens did fall out. We went back and they were supposed to order yet another pair, but only ordered the one lens. The new lens came, but again same issue. Finally, they said let's order a new pair of glasses, a different frame as maybe these ones are now defective. So we ordered a new pair with a different frame and were hoping that would do the trick.
Once the new pair came in, the lenses looked okay but the frame was much too big for his face. We wondered how that could be and took the pair of "sample frames" they had in the store. That one fit his face perfectly. They ordered the same frame, the same numbers, but yet upon inspection we saw that the one that came in was less curved than the sample one in the store and therefore it was wider and did not fit his face as well as the sample one. At this point I gave up. We wasted so much time going back and forth with a child and even after all these times, the glasses are still not how they should be. Keep that in mind that if you order a frame you like, the one that comes in might be much wider, narrower, or different curvature than the one on display. This will make the frame sit differently on the face.
I had a eye exam and took the prescription to Walmart Vision Center in Oneonta Al for frames and lens. Two small spots appeared (one on each lens) and in time they got larger. I took them back to Walmart and was told it had been over six months and I would have to buy new lens. She also said they were scratches and the lens cleaner pads that were purchased at the same time as the lens caused the problem. What is on my lens are not scratches. She also said it should have purchased a upgraded lens. I think this is a material quality problem. I am going to get a second opinion.
I have been wearing glasses for 31 years. I generally get a new pair every 24 months. This was my first time purchasing glasses from Walmart. I definitely will not waste my time nor money buying Walmart glasses in the future. Within a few days of getting my glasses, I was wearing them while out for a walk. One of the lenses fell out. I caught the lens and frame as it fell apart on my face. I think I bent the frame while catching them. I immediately took them back to Walmart. I was told they were beveled incorrectly and it would take a few weeks for them to fix the glasses. I asked about the frames and was told they'd try to bend them back but "no guarantees"...
Over two weeks later my glasses were ready for pick-up. I was told the frames were bent back into place and the glass lenses were corrected. They adjusted the glasses to my face. Within minutes of leaving the store the pain behind my left ear was excruciating. I was unable to return to the store for a few days. When I did return the Walmart Vision employee loosened the earpiece. The glasses immediately slid to the end of my nose. I told him the left ear feels a lot better but the glasses are obviously too loose. He informed me the glasses can either hurt my ear or I can push them up on my face to see, but he can't do anything else. I left very discouraged.
The next day I called to speak with a manager. When the manager returned my call her solution was for me to come in when the male employee wasn't working. She even suggested I call in advance to make sure he wasn't around because she knows how he is or she told me to go to another Walmart. So I went to another Walmart. Twice. I have never experienced physical pain from wearing glasses before but now that seems to be how Walmart adjusts glasses. The glasses are lopsided on my face, physically painful behind my left ear and continually slip down my face. I cannot wear them. They have been a complete waste of time and money.
My glasses and lenses were not cheap, I actually spent a lot more on these glasses than I have in the past. However, in the past I've dealt with companies that knew how to adjust glasses, Walmart customer service is very, very inferior and I'm the only one out anything. I did ask to return the glasses and was laughed at. $310 spent on garbage.
I had eye exam done at Walmart and purchased new glasses about 6 weeks ago. After two weeks I came to the conclusion that the right lens wasn't correct. They told me the lens axis was not correct. Now two weeks after that, they supposedly fixed it, but it is no different. They give me double vision through the right lens. Now they told me that I just have to get my eye used to it. I paid over 300 dollars out of pocket and that doesn't count what my insurance paid and I have glasses that screw up my vision. At this point, I don't know what to do. I can't just go somewhere else because of cost, and my insurance won't allow me more glasses for two years. I feel like I've been taken.
Walmart vision center used to be alright... Took my grand daughter to get glasses. The eye frame broke down not even a month. 3 months later I went in to get glasses. Less than a month eye frame also broke down. Will not go to Walmart eye center again. Their service used to be good. Not no more.
I bought an eyeglasses from the Vision Center at Walmart Sterling. The nose pads always fall from it every month or 2 and this is the 4th time it happens. One time it made a cut on my nose. When I come to the store they replace it and they charge me 2$. The nose holders should not fall or it should fixed once for all. It never happened with other eyeglasses I got in the past from other different stores.
My prescription is absolutely off, I can barely see, and when I point that out I was told: "you just need to get used to it". I have been wearing glasses for 22 years, I think I can tell if it's not the right prescription unlike the optometrist working there. On top of that, the glasses broke after 7 months, PD and ADD are not listed on my prescription. The people who are working there are incompetent and rude.
Problem # 1: Vision Center optician was doing an eye exam for new glasses and he decided to check my eyes for some potential problem that old people develop (I was in my early 40's). He shot something into my eyeballs which hurt really bad, I had blurred vision and blood in my eyes for a couple months. He also hit me in my face like a jerk, then apologized. Avoid WALMART butchers, they are alleged serial assaults and can't be punished by Walmart management who refuses to do anything about it.
Problem # 2: Vision Center employee, huge as a gorilla, with hands that are only good for loading cement bags was asked to repair my eyeglasses. I sat in front of him while he was literally butchering my expensive glass ($300), maybe not expensive to some though. He placed nose pads that were too large and the replacement screws holding them were humongous. What he did the has shocked me.
He slowly dug into one of my lenses making a deep long scratch on it and continued to making another smaller one while I protested and he then was done with it. The next day I went to complain the manager of the Vision Center who told me this guy can't be punished as he was hired as part of gorilla endangerment program and thus offered me a measly $25 compensation out of their own pocket. Stay away from Walmart butchers. Go get your food and stuff there and get out. I am not a competitor, so I am not advising not shopping at WALMART as that may mean good savings, but stay away from WALMART VISION CENTERS.
I have been getting my.prescription eye glasses from Walmart vision center since 2009. Never had a problem until now. I moved to Glendale Arizona and went to the Vision Center located at 5605 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. I was shopping and stopped in the vision center to set up an appointment. The woman wouldn't get out of her chair to talk to me. She said, "You come here with your insurance card." She told me they don't take my insurance. I told her yes they do.
I have the same insurance for 15 years and have been getting my glasses since 2009. She said it's different here in Arizona. Long story I left, called my insurance, Walmart accepts my insurance, called back Walmart, spoke to a man, made an appointment. Had my eye exam. Picked out frames. I was never offered the add-ons (anti-glare, polycarbonate, etc...). I messaged my daughter who is a manager of a Walmart vision center in another state to see what my current glasses were. I pick up the glasses and the weight of them made them fall own to the end of my nose!! Worse when I sweat, it's hot and sunny here almost every day in Arizona.
I went back to the vision center to show them the frames weren't going to work, told the employee they are falling down and when I put them where they need to be my eyelashes are hitting the lenses. The employee takes the glasses in the back and did something with the frames because they were warm. They fit more snug but still the problem of my eyelashes. He says "you aren't wearing the glasses right". I said, "What??" This is how I wear my glasses. He moves them down a little on my nose and the top of the glasses were in my line of vision. He kept arguing so I left and tried to make the glasses work. Nope. Same thing kept happening.
I go back again (3rd time now) and tell another employee that I need to exchange the frames and why. He told me I can't. I said, "Yes you can. There is a 6-month guarantee you offer." He said that's only on the lenses. I told him, "That is not true. I've been getting my glasses at Walmart since 2009!" He said he needs a manager approval, "She is on break. You will have to wait." I said okay. I messaged my daughter and again another lie. He didn't need manager approval. Manager comes back after 20 minutes and helps someone before me. A lady next to me starts chatting and I told her my daughter is a manager of a vision center.
As soon as the employee heard this he comes directly over to me (He never talked to the manager about my issues because I watched). He says "okay you can pick out new frames but they have to be the exact same price." I said my benefit covers up to 70 dollars. These frames were only 48. They refused to let me use my full benefit. Messaged my daughter. Another lie. I could pick out any frames, does not have to be the same price. My daughter said they are being lazy and didn't want to do a corrected claim. The employee also said it would take 4-6 weeks if I get frames that are a different price and if I add anything on. Another lie!
Talked to my insurance company. It's the same day!! They refused to let me get different price frames and my daughter had to call the manager and tell her she is a manager and knows how it works and to add on anti-glare. By the way my insurance doesn't cover any add-ons so I pay out of pocket. My daughter recommended I call 1-800-walmart. I was told on the first call I would receive a call no later than 3 days from either the marketing manager or the regional manager.
I have called 4 times in the past month and no one has ever called to resolve this issue!! Each time I've called told the same thing. I will receive a call within 3 days. Still no call!! I talked to my insurance company and was told to get my money back for the anti glare, refund the glasses, then call the insurance back and they will restore my benefits immediately!! No 4-6 weeks. I was told lie after lie by the employee and the manager. I will NEVER EVER go to any Walmart vision center again. The glasses they made me get are so ugly and cheaply made!! Picture below. I'm going to Walmart today to refund these glasses. I can guarantee they will give me major problems but I can also guarantee I will not leave without my refund.
The sales person tried to sell me an upgrade without explaining why there was an upgrade cost. Like just pay for it and don't ask questions. So I called Eye Med in front of him and found out that regular lenses were covered in the plan with a $10 co-pay, so I asked for that. He smirked at me and put in the wrong prescription for computer glasses of which I did not know and took my frames which he said he needed them and I had to wait almost 2 weeks. When I went there found out it was wrong and tried them out at home they were still not right and bought them back for a refund. They gave me a hard time and tried to sell me more on a bad prescription. A bunch of con artists.
I had 12:30 appointment (after waiting 2 weeks for an appt). Arrived at 12:30. Stood by register waiting on available associate which took 15 min for anyone to acknowledge my existence. So at 12:45 I was told I'd have to reschedule because my appointment was at 12:30!! I said I arrived at 12:30. She said "I know but Dr already left for lunch now & rest of day booked up"!!!
So this is my experience with Walmart Vision Center in Plano TX 6000 Coit Rd. So I went there with my kids to get new glasses. Oh well. So there 2 ladies (Russian) one working scanning items slower than slow. Ask her if she could help. She said no she doing some. The other one went straight to the back. Couldn't even ask her for help... Mhhhh really. Then another customer came in and out of the nowhere both ladies jumped up to help this other customer. I looked and ask why she get the help not us... Both looked at me and didn't said a thing. I got very upset. So I told them, "So this is how you handle customer service. You don't want my money? Fine. I go somewhere else." Guess what. The other place jumped for my kids. Made them feel really good. To walmart vision center you need to work on your customer service or get new people.
Negatives: Lab filled prescription for Single Vision Transitions Drivewear wrong. 1. Ophthalmologist checked lenses. I had complained on puck up lenses seemed too strong. Ophthalmologist confirmed lenses were filled to -1.50 instead of -1.25 and would have damaged my eyes over time. Lens also has a defect - when I look left for oncoming traffic, I feel instant vertigo and immediately have to remove glasses. Not safe to use to drive. Taking back. I've had them three days. (Day 1 picked up in afternoon)
Day 2: Complained about no Authenticity card came with Transitions lenses! Woman (name not here for her privacy) who has worked their five years says she had never seen those, gave those out, nor was she ever asked for it. WHY would it be up to a customer to know to ask for this? I learned about it calling Transitions because of the left lens problem! Rest of day was back and forth with Transitions and corporate office for National Vision looking for someone who could help with left lens problem and issuing the authenticity card. Corporate office called the store - after telling me they don't know about the cards - and finally store came up with a "scratch off" numbered card. Picked that up.
Transitions by the way was WONDERFUL (!!!) to deal with and so helpful. All positives there. The CS woman Jennifer told me she thinks the base curve in left lens was off causing the problem. Went back to Walmart in afternoon of Day 2 to pick up card. Told same woman there the left lens is still a problem. She looked at lens up to light and declared that 'since she didn't see a problem the problem did not exist.' Checked with COSTCO to see if they could do the lenses if I kept the frames. They can't because the lens is curved. Said it's the wrong type of frame to have a good lens result.
Day 3: took glasses to ophthalmologist. He checked glasses. Determined prescription was off. Write a note for store to "redo the lenses." He also encouraged me to "give up on Walmart. They are known for hit or miss getting prescriptions right. Try COSTCO or go to like a LensCrafters. Someplace with a good reputation."
Back to COSTCO to see what may be the best solution. Would take ten days to get new glasses. Walmart is about right. COSTCO could work out less expensive but I have to buy a membership, and their frame options are really limited unless you want frames you've seen everyone else wearing for years. Only very few newer styles. They do offer $40 off if you buy two pair. Stay tuned for outcome at Walmart.
Came into the Gilroy Walmart for prescription glasses on 2/22/17 at 11:30am. One person was ahead of me. Two employees working in the department. Both helping the one customer. I received no help at all. Not even an acknowledgment. I tried on frames for 20 minutes. A person came in after me. They got service. Then one employee went to lunch. Still no acknowledgment. I finally left and went to Costco. Got help right away. They had two employees also. Got GREAT service at Costco. Will never go to Walmart again. Not my first ordeal. Terrible store. Horrific service. Rotten mail order system.
On July 21, 2016, I paid for an eye exam and fitting for contacts. When I went back to the store located in Shrewsbury, PA to place an order for contacts I was told that Dr ** had quit and taken all records with him and that his whereabouts were unknown. Because there was not a record for my exam I could not order contacts or glasses. I was also told that they had not replaced Dr **. If I needed contacts or glasses I would have to find another Dr and again pay for an exam and fitting. I was told that there was nothing the local store could do.
I have left messages at Walmart corporate but have never received a return call. I have no prescription... no contacts... and old glasses. This is affecting my job because I can't see. I tried to wear my contacts well beyond what is safe. So I guess I can 1) contact a media outlet that features consumer issues 2) Attorneys General Office... but all I want is my prescription that I paid for so I can order my glasses and contacts so I can perform my job.
I was very dissatisfied when picking up my glasses today. She was very quick to tell me my glasses fit fine when I told her I felt they were loose and seemed crooked. Anyways instead of arguing the point I said okay and asked if I could have a cleaning cloth as I did last year, she said no on account they gave them all away as promos. I said, "So now you've left none for the customers you do have?" She replied, "Yes that's right and they are not free." :/
We have tried for 3 days to get an appointment. Was on hold several minutes and finally hung up. Left 3-4 messages and no return call. This is the Russellville, AR store. Not a good "first impression".
Walmart is the only vision center I've only been to and I will NEVER go back. It's been two weeks since I initially ordered contacts. Not only did they order me the wrong color but they also tried to blame it on 1-800-contacts! I've talked to several people and not once have they tried to fix my problem. All they are saying is I have to wait until they come in. They have absolutely NO IDEA what they are doing. They left me a voicemail telling me to call them, which I did. Only to hear that I had to wait even longer.
The only solution I feel I will find and to go return the wrong color they sent me for $160 worth of my mother's money and go somewhere else for my contacts. It's been so long that I can't even wear the contacts I have anymore because they are old and hurt my eyes. Working at a shoe store I need contacts to be able to see the correct shoe sizes and register. I've been dealing with this problem for two weeks. It's frustrating and disappointing. Walmart used to be so good with their service and now I don't even want to step foot in there ever again.
Our son age 13 had an exam for his glasses in the past. The prescription was completed by developmental Optometrist. The exam was completed with my husband present and the next day we arrived to pick up the lenses. They were not correct. He could not see far away. When I asked if it was possible the attendant said not likely presuming my son was lying. As it turns out the prescription was for near sighted and for distance he does not need a prescription. This is according to them. They lied about what was wrong and blamed it on us not telling them he had progressives. We left the glasses and do not trust what they prescribed.

The service is kind and friendly. The people are knowledgeable and allow you to make your own choices and inform you of all your options, which is my favorite part. I ended up purchasing one frame and lenses in store and for my sunglasses, I had custom lenses made and put in. I'm very happy with my custom choice. Lenses are excellent quality but the frames I bought were $100 which is excellent price but they weren't well made. Overall for both pair I paid around $225 (approximately) including my insurance. The same insurance elsewhere for one pair of glasses (minus the scratch resistance because I couldn't afford it) cost me $500 after insurance. I've returned for adjustments every few months at no cost and no wait. I wish I had gone there when I got my son's glasses.
Price and quality are very good. I use the same pair I got three years ago as a backup pair sometimes. Very good selections in store. My glasses were very modestly priced, it didn't take long to wait for my appointment. I got the light changing lens, which were low priced. I also got told that it would take a week until my glasses would be ready, but it only took three days. In all I was very impressed with my glasses and the service I received.
Lenses scratched and streaked easily. Cheap quality and not a great selection. Got the glasses at the store eyewear shop. Staff was not overly interested in serving. They did replace at no cost but replacement are no better than original.
The glasses are fine but I could not find suitable frames. My glasses were too tight and when I went back they simply bent them and that stayed for a while and now I have indentations from my nose piece. Also, was told that Medicare wouldn't pay for them but they did and now Wal-Mart will not reimburse me for what I paid.
Lots of help with looking at frames for opinions when I was looking alone. Attractive frames for the $100 price and frames guaranteed for a year (replacement if damaged). Bifocals were measured correctly and fitting done with expertise. From my location always a pleasant experience.
For a fair price you can't go wrong at Wal-Mart. Many glasses to select from and Wal-Mart delivered the glasses quickly. My Walmart glasses haven't broken. I wanted to change from one type to another type of glasses and they said I would be able to do that within a certain period of time at no cost.
They change frame styles frequently to always force the customer to buy new frames or go through the nightmare of trying only to buy new lenses. Few of the type of frames I like, I can't find them if I need a replacement. Using old frames and having them only cut new lenses took 3+ weeks and 2 tries. I expect the vendor to stock a wide selection of frames, to always maintain access to the frame I need for future replacements. Every vendor should accept every optical insurance plan.
They don't look right in my face and sit on my face right. The lenses I can't see out of that will fit my face. I just don't like them. They just don't feel right and I wasn't too good with him.
Had new lenses put into old but still good frame, and worked out great. Good value and fast delivery service. Only took a few days to receive my glasses, which was quicker than expected. They also had the option of home delivery if needed, but I just picked up at the store the following week when I did my next shopping.
You choose which price you want and get quality you pay for. I buy the cheap frame. It's what I can afford. I go every year to Wal-mart eye doctor and have no problem. It's the economic place to go when you are on a fixed income like us.
I received glasses in store. Service and product was excellent. Everything was perfect. I would go back anytime. Have been using Wal-Mart for a number of years. And will continue to use them.
December 28, 2016 (1:30pm) - Taylor, Michigan Walmart Eye Exam. My husband and I stopped in to see about getting his eyes checked and getting him some eye glasses... but when we entered the Walmart's Eye Exam, the available optometrist greeted us with one of the most rude and condescending attitudes I've seen in quite a while.
As with any business inquiries, my husband and I first approached the checkout counter to wait for assistance while noticing an optometrist was attending to a single patron seated at one of the fitting tables. Ready to wait our turn, we were caught off guard when the optometrist stopped and without so much as a "Hi" looked over at us and immediately asked us if we had an appointment to which we responded "no, but we were hoping to make an appointment".
It was here that her demeanor took on a more than sarcastic undertone for reasons I don't know. But it began with her rolling her eyes at us, and using a very condescending voice, she asked "who's the appointment for?" to which I replied it was for my husband who was now standing close to my right hand side. The optometrist then fixed her glare at my husband and sarcastically asked him "Well, do you have an appointment?" to which my husband responded "No I do not, but I wanted to see if I could make one".
Now obviously irritated, the optometrist then asked in a manner to insinuate it was a high probability he did not. "Well do you have insurance" to which my husband responded "yes", but I assume she did not hear him, because she then repeated her question somewhat louder, "Do you have insurance". And it was at this moment, I decided if this was to be the attitude and approach Walmart optometrists would be using in dealing with us as a customer, it was probably in our best interest to seek out another optometrist for a more customer friendly service.
So before I would have to deal with any more underlying attitude and rudeness, I stopped her by saying, "you know what, Yes we have insurance, it's VSP Vision, and no I don't think we'll be using Walmart for our business as it is very apparent our service is not wanted here." And with those parting words we left the store all the while hearing the optometrist relaying comments of "who cares" and "go ahead" to the sitting customer she was talking to when we entered.
So NO, I would not recommend Walmart as the place to go for your eye exam and glasses, or at least not until they learn the true meaning of common courtesy when working with the general public. Very dissatisfied! Shame on the Optometrist for her condescending and rude approach to two people who just wanted to make an appointment for an eye exam. Took our business to SVS Vision, who was more than willing to help us in a more customer friendly environment.
Glasses are of great quality. I have been very pleased with my glasses & the service I received. I definitely will recommend them to anyone who asks. Very good selection and competitive pricing. The people were very helpful also.
The lenses were incorrect by a huge margin, poorly cut and incorrectly ground. They insisted that my wife would get used to them. This is wrong, always. We demanded a refund and never went back. Start to finish from exam and measure to fitting, was amateur at best.
Redlands, Ca. Vision Center. I am disappointed and displeased with the service that I received when I came into your store on 12/24/16 at 5:15 pm by Carolina. I approached her and explained that I had purchased 3 pair of glasses the day before. One pair for each of my daughters Angelia, Joecelyn and myself. However, I did not focus on the fact that I had a secondary insurance for myself on the day that I purchased the glasses and had to pay around $175.00 out of my pocket. I explained that my secondary insurance was Risk Management and that Walmart should be able to bill the secondary insurance so that the total cost of the glasses would covered. Carolina explained that she had NEVER heard of such a thing. She stated that, I would have to purchase a second pair of glasses to do that. I explained to her that I did not need a second pair of glasses and that this is accepted routine in the healthcare field.
I ask her to contact her manager on call and ask him how to deal with this situation if she was not familiar with how to take care of the problem at hand. I WAS THE ONLY CUSTOMER IN THE STORE AT THE TIME. She stated "I do not have a manager to call. Don't you think they have days off." I explained "unless you are the manager of the day; there will always be someone on call that can assist you with problems such as this." She handed me a business card and told me that I can address this with her manager on Tuesday. I explained it will be too late then but at this point you can still bill the insurance. She stated the glasses have already been shipped. I also told her this is not the way to treat your routine customers. She offered me a form where I could fill out myself and take to Risk management.
I explained that I can take my business elsewhere in future purchases that will bill my insurances without problems and that I will not be doing the footwork myself. Carolina was very unpleasant, unhelpful and appeared aggravated. I was the only customer that she was dealing with and she did not want to help me. She was unable to empathize and understand the meaning of $175.00 to another person and it is hard to believe that she would be left without a manager of the day to consult.
In the last 2 years my family and I have purchased 5 pair of glasses, 1 pair of contacts and have been seen twice by a Walmart optometrist. I am requesting that she be reprimanded for her poor customer service and that action be taken to bill my secondary insurance Risk Management. I would like a written letter to explain how this was handled or in the future I will take my business elsewhere where they will take care of me like I deserve to be treated.
Many price ranges and styles. High value for the economical price. A little too long of a wait for service, but good quality, selection, and prices. The glasses were delivered to store quickly after ordering. Why go to a higher-priced provider if you can get the same or similar frames for less?
I've purchased eyeglasses and exam yearly without issue and very satisfied with the pricing and selection. At my recent appointment on December 13, 2016, the assistant went over my yearly review in which I explained a change from a work computer to a tablet that has less than 6 point type and my difficulties in reading the small type font and that I may be able to retain the desktop with validation. She had no issue and told me she would write it on the updated document if we need to reference as proof.
I explained it was just a yearly check up and other than that everything was fine. I was very dismayed when taken back to the optometrist and the nasty demeanor I encountered. I said nothing about the tablet and said it was just a yearly check up for my year's new pair. He started by asking me to read the smallest type and when asked to cover an eye and read the smallest type and I explained it was blurry he became very rude stating my glasses were bent a bit and knocked the bifocal off.
I tried to explain I had no issue at all with the glasses. He said I was banging up the glasses? Yes, I do wear them daily numerous hours which I'm sure they had wear but the glasses were far from "banged up." He said that he prescribed the highest lens and didn't know what I "wanted him to do." He said I had glasses of an elderly person. I said I understood but that I had no issues.
He said there was nothing more he could do and again repeated "I banged up the glasses." I felt extremely uncomfortable with his condescending demeanor and false accusations. I already had chosen the frame, etc but was not pleased in the manner in which I was treated. I fear if I did really need to bring the glasses in for repair he would lash out. Not sure what I can do at this point?
Very very unqualified people work at Tucker Wal-Mart. They refuse to give me my prescription. They charge me $300 for glasses but they can't give prescription. This people are clearly in violation so healthcare laws. I am considering to sue them. Bad bad bad people. Someone need to teach them lesson.
I was assisted by Sarah ** at the Vision Care Center. I had my nose piece on my glasses crack and fell off as I was reading my favorite book! So after work I drove to my local Walmart. Being new in the area, I was so grateful to be greeted and approached for assisting me. Sarah couldn't have been more pleasant and reassuring to take care of my situation. I was very impressed by her customer care. It is very rare to find a kind and respectful woman working during this busy Holiday with patience. Thank-you! Merry Christmas! So I would like to have her noticed by her superiors and Congratulate her for her service.
I have gone to Walmart located at 169 Norman Station Mooresville, NC 28117 several times for my son's glasses (bought about 4 pairs now) which are the scratch resistant, and transitions which are typically more expensive. Recently got him the transitions sport and they had a weird fit. I returned them and they were sure not to give me back my money but exchange only.
I went there today and told the woman at the counter that I wanted to be measured so that I could get an idea as to which frames would work best. Her attitude was terrible; she didn't really want to help. She told me she wouldn't get to that just yet and that I needed to pick a pair first. She didn't seem too interested in giving excellent customer service nor did she think that I was going to get glasses. Because of her nasty disposition and unwilling attitude to assist me in picking a pair I decided to leave. Their whole staff seems to be a little money hungry which is in direct conflict with wanting to provide the best service. I will not be back at the Walmart Vision center for my glasses nor my son's; I'm done with bad customer service.
I went to your store, had exam, and ordered glasses. When they came in they were wrong. I could not read at all with them so returned them to the store. Lady stated she ordered wrong so new lens came in again. I could read with them but could not see distance so sent back... Was told was a lab mistake. So now sent the lens back. This is terrible that you pay for something and DO NOT get lens you can use. I do not feel I should have to pay for these glasses making 3 trips to get glasses and YOU make so many MISTAKES. Never gave me a order number.
I was very dissatisfied with my experience with Wal-Mart Vision Center. I started off with having my exam there. First they had trouble with one of the machines at sizing my eye. I don't believe my eye exam was the greatest. It was about 5 minutes and that was all. Not a very thorough exam. Next was picking out my glasses. I don't believe that anyone in the vision center knew exactly what they were doing. While I was picking out glasses one said they looked good on me and the other said that they were too big. Well I managed to get those glasses and they were too big on me. They hurt the heck out of my face and my ears and too heavy for me. When I got them all that they did was just basically hand them to me and I was on my way. No adjusting hardly. They asked if I could see and I said that they were blurry but I was to get used to them. It might take me a week to a few months.
So anyways I toyed and of course they started hurting so I went back in to get a different pair of glasses. A pair that was very lightweight and rimless. She started my order and then said I couldn't have them because my prescription was too high. So she tried a different way to order them and they went through finally. So I waited for those glasses to come in and when they did I drove 20 miles into town which wasn't the first time that was a waste of gas for me. The first time I went in to get my glasses they were suppose to be open but weren't. I guess the lady was at break and no sign or anything so I left. This time I went in to get my second pair of glasses and I handed them my first pair that I ordered and she took them back and came back with the same pair. Not the pair that I had ordered the second time. I asked her where they were and she said "I don't know. I don't have no orders for them."
I put them on anyways and couldn't see nothing with these ones but of course she said "Well that's the same prescription. I don't know why." So I finally managed to find the glasses I ordered again and she reordered them once again and again I had to wait another 7 to 10 days again and by this time I had went without my glasses for a whole month. So she reordered them and then called me a few days later and said I couldn't have any of the rimless glasses because my prescription was too high. So back once again to go find another pair of glasses. I finally just got my refund and went somewhere else. I now have a nice pair of rimless glasses and pair of glasses that I can see out of and it didn't take me a whole week to a month to get used to them. I will never go back to Walmart again for glasses. Either they don't know what they are doing or those are such cheap lenses. I don't know.
I called the Eye Exam Dept in Walmart and made an appt being told that walk-ins were not accepted. I got to my appt 15 minutes early and was the only one in the waiting room. In those 15 minutes of waiting 3 people walked in and were told the Dr. was with someone but they could see him when he was done. The Dr. came out of his office 10 minutes after my appt and took in a walk in and left me sitting there. I respect the Dr. time... and I expect mine to be respected to. I left and will look for a different Dr. I will not be going back.
My son purchased frames from the Vision Center @ Walmart at the Kitchener Supercentre, Sunrise Shopping Centre location. Over time the arm of the frame slightly rotated inwards but the frame was still wearable. My son brought the frame to the Vision Centre in hopes that they may rectify the problem. They BROKE THE ARM OFF AND THEN TOLD HIM HE CAN PURCHASE NEW FRAMES FOR THE COST OF $49. I went in, they tried to tell me because they have experience with these glasses it was acceptable. I told them if they knew they couldn't fix the glasses they should of left it alone as the glasses were wearable prior to bringing them in, now they are not. I have left a voice message with the "opticians" so called "supervisors" voice mail and reported this to my insurance provider as well.
I ordered glasses over a week ago. Was promised to have glasses Sat. Then phone on Oct 31 and she said it was a quality control issues and she didn't know when my glasses were coming. I want my glasses that are already been paid for ahead. Usually I pay for service after it comes. Not before! Anyway need them to see.
Eyeglasses are a joke. Bad lenses. Took them back 3... 4 times... factory cracks on frame and lenses. Cannot use them at all now. Small claims court may be necessary if I can't get satisfaction. You need to shut down your eye centers.
Not too long ago I purchased new glasses through Wal-Mart in Saint Augustine FL. A couple of weeks later I noticed scratches on my lens. Thinking it was my own fault, I was more careful. I'm a sales manager for a company downtown in Saint Augustine and realized that there shouldn't be any damage to my glasses since the don't get dropped or knocked around. I only clean them with the solution I was given when I purchased the pair of glasses. Now it being 6 months or so they're horribly scratched. I don't make a lot of money and when I did I bought glasses around the same cost from eye doctor offices and they lasted for years. I'm very disappointed in this new glasses and don't think I'll ever go back to the eye center. The representative wasn't very helpful when asked about any warranty and basically push me since she working with another customer. With my company if someone comes in with a complaint we generally stop everything.
After waiting patiently in line for a long time the manager stopped by and asked a young ** girl if she was here for pick up. Yes was the reply. The girl was allowed to the front of the line. I told her I was here for pick up as well. She acknowledged me. When I stepped up to the register the manager told me somebody else would have to wait on me. She then proceeded to wait on a young ** couple. When I requested the manager's name I was told it was the lady who just allowed the young girl to take cuts. When I requested her manager's name and number I was given a bogus number. I am an older ** male disabled vet. The manager was a middle aged ** woman. I have worked with many people of different backgrounds and never had an issue.
Thought I had ordered contacts (different strengths for left and right eye). Received call stating that the order was in and ready. When I went to pick up, Vision Center had only ordered contacts for one eye. Customer questioned representative and Kim expressed miscommunication when she had made copies of the prescriptions and noting specifics as well as physician contact information. Yet, the Center failed to follow up with the doctor to clarify any questions that the Center might have had. Due to this experience, told the Center to cancel the order.
Customer went with a different company the following day after Vision Center was instructed to cancel the order all together. Placed an order online through 1-800-contacts (just like I did in Walmart Vision Center) and the next day the contacts were verified with my physician by that company and shipped all within a 24-hour time frame.
Yet, still having to deal with Walmart Vision Center... Now Tiffany, the manager, is involved noting MY confusion when she left a message on my home answering machine. I had updated my contact information when the order was placed but I guess the Center failed to successfully update that as well. Just a note: If I was confused, how could I successfully order through another vendor. Furthermore, the Manager also expressed the amount of time she was placed on hold today while the receptionist at the doctor's office obtained and clarified the confusion to their staff. This call by the Vision Center did not take place until more than 7 days after the initial order to finally verify the prescription since they were unsure of what to order.
Based on this experience and interactions with the staff, Walmart Vision Center fails to provide satisfactory vision services to their customers. The staff did not take the initiative to follow through on an order and also placed the blame on the customer for their mistake. If the Center had been proactive in checking when the order was initially placed and not waiting a week to follow up then this order might have been turned out differently. This company does not value their customers or efficiently handle orders placed. It is haphazard in its dealings.
Went for eye exam on the first of Sept 2016. Did more exams than I wanted, picked out frames. Ten days later I received my sun glasses, the left lens was so off I couldn't see through them. Though the doctor was frustrated and so was I he treated me like it was my problem. However he did another eye exam and re-ordered my lens. On 9-26-16 I picked up my glasses again, this time the right lens was wrong and left was off too. Their attitude was not caring or professional. This was expensive and a very bad learning experience. At this point I'm going to cut my losses and go somewhere else. The Hartwell, Ga. Wal-Mart Vision Center, l wouldn't recommend to anyone.
July/August 2015, I went for an eye test at Wal-Mart Minot, N.D. Everything was of good service, where after I ordered lenses (I supplied the frame) from Wal-Mart Vision Center. The lenses arrived, got fitted. From day one I had only joy with the new glasses. Eleven months later, some spots appeared on the lenses. At Wal-Mart Vision Center I was told that they will order a new set of lenses, at no cost (under guarantee). They got fitted, and I could not read fine print. With the first set, I could easily. Another set was ordered, same story, blurred vision when I try to read fine print.
Out of desperation, I asked the old lenses back, bought a similar frame, went back to Wal-Mart Vision Center, had the old lenses fitted. One prescription, two sets of glasses, one brand new, blurring, one with spots, perfect reading. A very helpful lady at the Vision Center tried her best to resolve the issue without any luck. Seems that the person, or people responsible, cannot be reached, or does not care!!! This is unpleasant, costs money and leave me with nowhere to go to sort it out. I am not used to this kind of treatment. It's frustrating.
I purchased prescription sunglasses from Wal-mart S.P.A.R. Rd Sydney Nova Scotia the end of March 2016. They are less than 6 months old. I noticed a crack in the frames which got progressively worst. I went back with them to the Vision Care at Walmart and was told they were not covered to be replaced. I would have to rebuy the frames. I have never hear such a policy in my entire life when purchases glasses.
Of course I did not rebuy the frames but took my glasses to another optical who found frames to fit my lens that same day. They are warranty for one year. Thank you Vogue Optical. Buyer beware. Your frames have no warranty at Walmart. I called the supervisor from Vision Care in Ontario without any reply. Walmart you suck in customer service.
I went to the Wal-Mart in Lincolnton NC last summer, 2015. My glasses are very expensive because I have astigmatism. When my glasses came back they didn't sit right on my face. I put the glasses on the table and told the guy they weren't level. He moved the nose part slightly but they still didn't feel right. I also felt like a drunk while wearing them.
I knew it would take some time to get use to them. But something just wasn't right. I stopped in 2 weeks later and told them. They checked to make sure my lens were made to the dr.'s specifications (they said they did this, I can't prove they did) and told me everything was right. I just needed a bit more time to get used to them. I have ALWAYS had to shove them up on my nose to keep them in place. Well stupid, stupid me. I finally realized one ear piece was SHORTER than the other which was causing them not to sit properly which was throwing off my vision.
Oh, but they don't sell the frame anymore. That one yr guarantee they have? Hog wash! I was told they would replace the frame with another comparable frame but I'd be responsible for the lens. My lens cost $400 frickin' dollars! I am on disability and can't afford another pair. I really wish I had looked at reviews before going to Wal-Mart. Not only am I heart broken over this but my EYES will forever be screwed up!
Went to Walmart Vision Center for a well overdue eye exam. My exam was like a two minute exam. I thought that was strange. My eyesight isn't that bad. One eye is a little worse than the other. I wear no-line bifocals. They called me about a week later to pick up my new glasses. I put them on and felt sick almost immediately. I could NOT see a thing up close. Distance seemed like it may have been ok. I told them I will take them home and see how they are. After about half an hour I had a pounding headache and felt nauseated.
Took them back. New eye exam. (1 minute). They thought maybe the bifocal part was too high or too low so remeasured. Three different girls came up with 2 different measurements so they decided to go with the 2 girls' measurements. 2 weeks went by maybe more. They called to come pick up my glasses. I wasn't feeling well but went anyway. Put them on and basically threw them on the counter. Same thing. Couldn't see!!! I told the lady I wasn't feeling well and would have to come back another day. I haven't been back yet. I am so disappointed. I see so many other complaints. I guess I made a bad decision going there.
I bought a pair of glasses in 2014. I can't see out of them. The lady told me I would get used to them. The frame is still new but the glass part is cloudy or scratched or something. I took them back and lady told me I waited too long. I spent a lot of money to get no line bifocal, anti fog non-glare and tinted for sunlight. I am so disappointed with them. I cried and let it go. I am not a rich person. I hope and pray no one else gets ripped off like this. Never buy my glasses from them again. I have let too much time pass. It wouldn't do me any good to try to get help now.
In January 2016 I went to Walmart for a new pair of glasses after my cataract surgery. I was told that Medicare would not pay for my glasses and it was my responsibility. I needed the glasses and paid $288.00. I was notified in May that Medicare paid $120.33. I went to Walmart Vision Center and requested to be reimbursed for over-payment. I was told that it would take 6 to 8 weeks for a refund. Now 8 weeks has come and gone and I am now being told that it is in the legal department and that I will receive a refund but they don't know when. This in my opinion is not legal.
1380 W elliot rd Tempe, Az 85284 Vision Center. I have been going here for my contact lens exams for probably 10 years or more. I have always been taken care of promptly and courteously. In fact Dr. ** at this location has been there for years. I went over yesterday because I had a really bloodshot eye and was hoping there had been a cancellation. They got me in for an appointment with Dr. ** within literally minutes of arrival. Everything he advised me to do, was right on and today my eye is quite a bit better. He is so friendly. He treats people like they are his old best friend from years ago. I have other issues with this Wal-Mart - however the Vision Center is Phenomenal!!
Went to Walmart in Glendale AZ some years ago and bought prescription glasses with their doctor's Rx. They came back with the right lens in the left side and the left lens in the right side. Sent them back twice, same thing. Told the girl I wanted a refund (we are talking over $400.00 here). Was told that was impossible. When I turned to my husband and said "Let's go home. I am calling Channel 12 about this..." I had a full refund the next day.
I visited the Vision Center on Hwy 280, Bham, Al, in Oct. 2015 and am still suffering from that visit. My accountant actually had previously filmed thieves hanging out there, as he suspected them. I was followed all around Walmart after they obviously spied my big, new, very nice wallet, which I had taken out of my large tote to replace my credit card while there. The thief lifted it while my hand was on my tote, but I was bent over to a lower shelf. The policeman explained this to me as the manager would not let me view the thief. I discovered the thief at checkout. I had to demand to see the manager and I got the assistant mgr, who told the police that I had accused the cashier of the theft. She obviously did not understand English well enough. NOT ONLY DOES WALMART NOT CARE ABOUT THESE THIEVES' ACTIVITY, BUT THEY OFFER NO ASSISTANCE WHATSOEVER WHEN THEIR CUSTOMERS ARE TARGETED.
I went to Walmart Vision Center in Colonial Heights, VA to get contacts on June 30, 2016. I live in Colonial Heights but usually order online, but I pay for a new type of vision insurance and I had to go to a store to order them. I was told no problems 7-10 days, well after a week of trying to call because it's very hard to reach someone I was told they should've been there, and said it looks like they are in the store but have not been delivered to us yet. They told me they have them by Tuesday July 12 at the latest.
Well first off, they close the vision store early then the hours of operational, because I went after work on Monday and Tuesday at 6:00 and they were close, they are suppose to be open until 7, the sign saids it on the front of entrance plus website. I called the following day to ask about my contacts, and they still do not have them. Are you serious? I told her she said 7-10 business days and can't count weekend. I said "well vision center is open on Saturday so that is one of your business days and mail services run on Saturdays..." So no excuse... its been 12 business days and over two weeks... I will never order these again from Walmart Vision Center, when I can get them in 2 days from ordering online. There is more going on here, then it takes two weeks or longer to get them... what? Are they coming from JAPAN...
Most Walmart Vision Centers are poor due to their contractual set up with the providers. There is little accountability by the centers as they are Independent of Walmart. In Melbourne FL at 8500 Wickham they let their phone ring 20 times before picking up. They are unprofessional and clueless in handling customer service problems. I demanded a refund rather than put up with these issues any longer. Time to get glasses was misrepresented and one pair "failed inspection" so they wanted me to wait even longer to get the other pair. You get what you pay for, as usual.
The first time I went they ordered the wrong lens, which I paid for and the ones they should of ordered the first time. The 2nd time I went they never even called me to tell me my glasses were in. I called after a month and they said they called once. I never got a call. If they did call, it was only one time in a month. We need our glasses and they have plenty of time on their hands. Would it hurt to call again to make sure we get our glasses? I am done with this place.
Went into store to have an nose piece replaced. It had fallen off and ** and ** were so polite and helping. Later returned to have the nose piece adjusted and they were so pleasant and helpful. I just want you to know what a delight it was to have them serve me. I originally had purchased my glasses in Florida at a Walmart in St Cloud. ** and ** at the center at Store 1270 at 1201 Knox Avenue North Augusta, SC 29841 are gracious ladies. Walmart is fortunate to have them. Great service.
The eye doctor was thorough and no problem. The assistant was helpful when picking frames total cost was $545.00. The problem started once the glasses arrived with the lenses in. After three separate attempts with different assistants, none were able to fit my glasses correctly. They kept slipping down my nose. It became obvious that all had inadequate training or no training at all regarding fitting.
Finally, after total frustration I went to Visionworks in the mall, who adjusted them perfectly at no charge! The lack of training is Wal-Mart Vision Center's managements' fault as none of the three ladies knew how to fit glasses. I was told the following "my ears weren't level", to "wear my glasses over my hair", "glasses don't fit the same once the lenses are added". I have worn glasses since I was a child and have had many pairs of glasses at various locations and this was the worst ever. I am very unsatisfied with Wal-Mart Vision Center and will NOT return or recommend.
