Although America's Best has gotten me in for an exam in a timely manner when it came to returning a pair that had broken for insurance purposes my glasses had been finished for over a week before I called to check on them being it had been 3 weeks since I dropped them off and was told someone would lmk when finished. Only takes 7-10 days but if I wouldn't have called who knows how long before I could see again.. Out of the whole experience I give them a 7 out of 10 ..

and told me, "Talk with low voice or I am hanging on you." I told her, "Kindly please don't take it personal." She said, "Don't talk to me like this" then she hung up on me. I called the company and filed a complaint against the store worker. They told me, "Distract will call you."
I did not get any call from no one. Or did not receive any emails from the district manager. The store manager called me and said what happened. I explained to her how the employee spoke to me disrespectfully and hung up on me (she lied) and said that, "She did not speak to you disrespectfully. I was next to her and the employee said that my manager is not in the store," I discover that that place like friendship place. They back off each other. Unbelievable, every time I talk she try to cut you by say, "Do not raise your voice. Speak with respect." I swear to God, this is a method they use to make you Don't talk and just listen. She said, "We will work to get a refund for the lens test." I received the bill and found that she lied to let me. Just go, I got my bills. I did not get my refund. I called the same way start it from the same reception. I asked to speak to someone about the bill. I heard the word "excuse me" in a dirty way. She referred me to the store manager.
The manager increased her dirty behavior and I was upset. I didn't find a credit. I discussed with her where the credit is. They use the usual method when they don't find anything to say. (She said, "I will let you talk and I will put the phone aside and I will get back to you later." She put me on hold without manners or permission. I heard loud dirty laughter.) We are customers who come to the store to buy, not to suffer or deal with people who have psychological problems. If this employee had a manager who works seriously, she wouldn't have done that to me for the second time. I want cry for unfair abuse. Discrimination. Please read the customers' opinions and you will know that you have wronged yourself if you came to this store.

4702 store in poinciana on 12.10.24 AM shift is terrible customer service, they have me on speaker phone. I could not hear her and they hang up on me. I called 3 more times and they did not want to tell me price of a eye exam or even if they take my insurance... All they kept saying the make an appt. And they can do something if my insurance it not covered.... Do not recomend this place..

I first visited America's Best located at 11040 Pines Blvd., Pembroke Pines, FL for an eye exam. I was tested by Azita, then evaluated by Dr. **, and finished with **. All of these employees were extremely polite and professional, and I give them 5 stars. Several visits were required to obtain both eyeglasses and contacts. I had laser surgery several times about 15 years ago and was not told by the doctor that performed this procedure that this process flattens the surface of the eye making it difficult to wear contacts in the future due to dry eyes. I ended up with monovision where one eye sees close range and the other makes up the difference.
As a result, when trying to wear extended wear contacts, though I had great vision, I was unable to do so due to extremely dry eyes requiring continuous use of prescription eye drops. Dr. ** and ** worked with me and found that single-day contacts worked for me as they are extremely thin and my eyes don't dry out as much. So that concern was resolved. I was also fitted for eyeglasses and though I can see well, after a couple of weeks wearing them, I'm still trying to adjust to a "fishbowl" effect. I'll see what happens as I may need to have the prescription changed. Overall, I give this location and its employees 5 stars and highly recommend them. I do wish that America's Best made the glasses on site as the wait time to receive them can be lengthy and then if the prescription needs to be changed it leads to an even further wait time.

I normally don’t write reviews, but in this case, I really have to express my dissatisfaction with the protective coating on the lens. I was told the lens were very easy to clean small amount of soapy, water and then rinse and wipe a dry soft towel. By doing that, I actually wore off the protective coating in some areas of the lens. I went back to the store to talk to them about replacing the lenses due to the fact that this is what I was told how they clean glasses.
I think that “America’s Best” should be accountable for replacing my lenses, they said it was my fault and it would cost $285.00 to replace the lenses but unfortunately I’m on a fixed income and I’m not made of money. I recommend not getting the protective coating and always ask questions even though you think you might be a pain because basically everything falls back on you because they don’t stand behind their employees that tell you how to take care of your glasses. I took a picture of the lenses' reflection that’s on the paper. You can see how the coding is diminished.

Absolutely the worst. Went to the Covington GA location as I have for the last 2 years for a 10:50 eye exam appt which wanted me there 15 mins early. At 12:15 I told them this was ridiculous and "Don't you dare bill my insurance." All the idiot lady told me is ok. No Sorry for the wait or nothing. Who ever owns this dump should sell cause there are nothing but non professionals working there. I'll be going to a real optometrist from now on. SIGNED..PISSED OFF.

I did eye exam and got glasses and went back a few days later saying the prescription was not right. They assured me it was right. I put glasses in drawer and used over the counter gasses. Called today (November) and was told I would have to pay for new exam. No help at all. Glasses did not fit properly and prescription was not right. Staff less than helpful.

Worst experience ever in getting contact prescription. Was in for a yearly renewal as I recently relocated from another state. Have never had to wait so long to get a prescription. Had to wait on trial pair-which they ordered wrong prescription and had to reorder the right one and then wait on them. Then had to make another appointment just to get a final prescription. Not sure if this is a “state’ thing. Have lived in Oklahoma and Texas and have NEVER experienced anything like this. I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone. Still sitting here almost 2 hrs and I had an appointment. I would not even give one star.

I visited the branch on 7459 West Colonial Drive in Orlando. My son needed eye care documentation as required by his employer. Ms. ** was quick to greet me and offer assistance. She was friendly and pleasant. Although she couldn't assure me that the Eye Doctor would be available to immediately process my request, She had the signed document ready within an hour.. I appreciate the effort she gave to get it done. Thank You so much.

I am trying to understand how I paid over $240 for two pairs of glasses with insurance when their 'special' is '2 pairs of glasses for $79'.... I did add anti reflective coating but that still should not have made the out of pocket cost over $240.

I have been going to America's Best for 15 years with great service until this last visit. The eye exam was good but the purchase of my new glasses was a nightmare. I picked a frame that was on clearance and sat down. This is when I received the most horrible service in all these years. The young lady do not put the frames on my face to check the fit. Did not take any measurements. All she did was go into the cost. For a free exam and only on frame ($29.00) she said with insurance (Humana) I would owe over $300. When I questioned it she had so many added things she never discussed it was mind boggling. I had to keep asking and removing this I just wanted to leave but I loved the frames. I will never return to this office or the company.

I have been required to get a Visual Eye Exam from my Rheumatologist because of the meds I am taking. The most current exam was at America's Best in Aurora IL. This exam is to test your peripheral vision. I do not wear glasses and did not need the traditional eye exam. I paid for the exam and now the doctor will not give a written statement regarding the results of this exam because I didn't get the traditional eye exam as well. He simply gave me a picture of the exam. I paid for this exam and feel ripped off. I have never had so many problems in the past. I would love to go back to my previous eye doctor but she passed. I have never been required to get both exams in the past. Now my Rheumatologist will not refill my prescription and I will have to go to another doctor to perform this exam! What a scam!!

I got my glasses. At first I put them on and they are right. I waited about two three weeks. Put them on everything's a little blur. I shoot pool. I have to take them off to shoot pool cuz I can't see with him. Somebody screwed up on my scripts and lady who does your script she's so much in a hurry to push you in push you out. I never go back to him again. I wasted $700 with glasses I came and see out of. Thanks anyway.

They never offer to help with my glasses because after 1 month they broke. They wouldn't to help me out. They just said, "We're sorry, but there's nothing we can do." I will never refer anyone or anybody to America's Best. Not even family and that's 100 percent.

I had never tried America's Best contact & eyeglasses. I thought it wasn't somewhere I cared to buy eyeglasses. Well. I am so happy I made my mind to go. The guy who attended me is Mike. What a friendly guy. He is very patient and knows his work. I bought some really nice glasses. No cost to me. Whereas I had been paying so much at other eyewear places. The staff there is awesome. Thanks Mike for helping me with my new eyewear. You helped me with the different options available for me to decide on. I did. Yay!

Did not need an eye exam. Price was not as advertised. Poor quality glasses. Upon receiving my glasses I was not fitted. Tech took them out of the box, told me to put them on and that was it. Lenses will not clean. I use the lens cloth they gave me and followed their cleaning instructions. Three weeks into it one of the lenses fell out. Now it looks like the arms are going to fall out. Don’t waste your money here.

Updated on 11/14/2024: This is a follow up from my review posted on 10/31/2024. America's Best actually had the store that gave me so much headache and refused to fix my problems in the store call me. I couldn't believe it. How is this a good practice. The manager from the store called me, He told me I was a lying and they were the right frames and that the store had contacted me when they never did and harassed me until I hung up on him. He did nothing to try and fix the problem except try and get me to go back to his store. Why would I go back to a place where I was so mistreated. It's very obvious to me that America's Best is only in it for the money and does not care about their customers. I spent over $600 for the wrong frames and a blue coating that was never put on my lenses. Their solution is to continue to give me the run around with the same store and a manager that doesn't care. Thank you for your time.
Original Review: So let me begin by saying my initial appointment was more than three weeks ago. I did not receive my glasses until yesterday. I was never notified once, that my glasses were ready. I was told that they arrived at the store on the 18th, yesterday was the 30th. I went to the store due to nobody contacting me. It took them a really long time to find my glasses. I was on my lunch break and was unable to eat due to the poor customer service.
Two weeks ago we went to pick up my wife’s glasses as we were contacted that they were ready. We had no problem with her glasses. When we went to pick up her glasses I was told my readers were ready. I had ordered two pair. First they were not the frames I picked. Second they had my distance prescription. I told them they were the wrong frames and they just kept insisting they were the right ones. I know what I picked. So I was told they had to be reordered to get the correct lenses. Again this is more than two weeks ago.
Back to yesterday. When I arrived at the store and asked why nobody had contacted me I was lied to. I was told that messages and text messages were left on my phone. There are no messages or texts on my phone. When they finally found my glasses my readers were still the wrong frames. I also paid for the blue lens coating. My wife’s readers have this coating. Neither of my readers have it. So not only was given the wrong frames, I paid for something I didn’t receive. They did not adjust any of the four pair to fit me they just handed them to me and said good day. I was so frustrated I just took my glasses and left. I don’t even want to go back to the store to get the coating on my lenses that I paid for due to not wanting to deal with the people there and I don’t want to wait another three weeks to get them.
I am 49 years old and have been wearing glasses since I was 5. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had buying glasses. This was the first and last time I will ever step foot in America's Best again. I will also make sure that everyone I know that wears glasses hears about my experience with America's Best. Especially paying for something I did not receive.

I go to the America's Best in Pineville, North Carolina. They are the best. They have Jenny ** at that location. She has always been helpful, and goes beyond and above to make sure that things are right. Too bad they can't clone her, and put her in all of their America. Best, locations!!

I had one of the worst experiences I have ever had in the establishment yesterday. The technician (KIANA) was incredibly rude to me. She did not greet me when I walked in the room, she did not make eye contact, she acted like she was angry with me the entire time, and she did not explain the process to me at all. She then proceeded to become frustrated when I did not know what to do next. I find all of this very disturbing. She seems ill equipped to work with the public. I can't imagine they want that type of attitude representing their business? I am a business owner myself. I found all of this so disrespectful and rude.

My eye exam is good for 2 years. Been over a year not close to 2. Now they tell me one year and canceled my order, when clearly my eye exam paper say 2 years. So on the day it supposed to arrive. They canceled on the arrival date?!?! Terrible communication and wasted my time waiting for a glasses. All they want is more money for another eye exam. Talking about America worst! Never wasting my time with them. No wonder reviews rating is a 2*. Reviews are right. Trust the reviews and don't waste your time on them.

My friend and I were at America's Best glasses and contact. Found out that they won’t and doctor won’t accept without the translate for deaf. We simple asking to use iPhone conversation and still nope. Then we asking them to use VRI and still nope. They prefer to translate interpreter in person. We have to reschedule whenever they get translate then reschedule.

To be Fair it’s only the eye Exam that is Worth it!!? Probably other places might give you the exam at an even higher price. So I just say I Got an Eye Exam!! But when it comes to the glass I know call them America's best Rip Offs. They give you the worst Quality of Glasses where recently a lot of online platforms are giving those for Glasses for free and at the same price I paid for two glasses I can get a polarizes one and with a blue light reflector for around the same prices I paid.

After getting glasses at Walmart for years, I decided to try America's Best. They ended up making a pair of glasses that were so bad I could hardly see anything clearly through them. They re-made them a second and third time with only slightly better results, and this was using their own new prescription. Went back to Walmart for new eye exam and got great glasses on first try.

The place is very visually appealing, neat and clean. The staff is helpful and kind. The only negative is the technician that gives you the 1.exam. Her name is Francis. She is downright nasty, rude and not helpful. You feel like you enter some punishment chamber. Otherwise, I would give this place 5 stars. She should not be working with people.

I’ve been wearing glasses for 30 years. The anti-glare lenses here that were pushed on me by the employees are THE WORST lenses I’ve ever owned. They are IMPOSSIBLE to clean. At the store they tell me tissues will scratch the lenses only use their cloth. They used their clothes to clean them THEMSELVES. They were still filthy. I only used Microfiber to clean them, and no matter how long I clean them they’re still filthy, and shocker, their microfiber has scratched my lenses terribly which they told me was the safest way to clean them. On top of that, less than 6 months after getting them one of the arms fell off the frames without me EVER bending them, and the arm fell off when it wasn’t even being touched. DO NOT shop at this place, it's bordering on scam territory. I will NEVER shop here again. I’d rather spend 3 times as much at Lenscrafters.

This place is a TOTAL SCAM!!!! That whole nonsense of get 2 pairs of eyeglasses and and eye exam for $79.99 is a COMPLETE LIE!!!! If you go there, you will end up paying $350-500 for everything. The only reason I bought from them was because I was desperate to replace my broken glasses. Please go somewhere else where you will be told everything upfront without getting scammed. One of the Worst decisions and experiences of my life.

Hadeel is great and so is Dionnah. My son enjoys the service and their input with his choice of frames. They are all very polite, professional and have an amazing patience.

I have been a customer of America's Best for a couple of years. However, I went to an eye surgeon in LA and after running a bunch of tests, they found that I had cataracts! I’m in my 30s, and the doctor was surprised and also said that they have been there a while. Thus, America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses FAILED to see this during their exams (I was seen by two different doctors), nor did they check for anything. Luckily, I went to this surgeon because God knows how quickly the cataracts would have worsened and I ended up having to have eye surgery much sooner than I thought. Avoid this place.

If I could leave a negative star I would. I love the company, my whole family uses them...BUT I will never go back to the Fort Oglethorpe location. The customer service was TERRIBLE. The pre screen lady was good, the doctor was good..but the 2 people out front at the check out desk were AWFUL..they talked to each other the whole time while I was sitting there trying to check out and same for my mother. Very rude and unprofessional. My mother picked 2 different frames out and when we got them in, it was TWO OF THE SAME PAIR!! Because they were more worried about what Beyonce, Jay-z and other people were up to instead of doing their JOB! And then the guy was just sitting there complaining about elderly people taking up TOO much of his time!!! I know the response to this will be Sorry here is the email for corporate!! These 2 individuals need gone! We will never go back to this location again.

I had an appointment in May of 2023 and this was just to see if I needed reading glasses and if so what kind. I could see but as I was aging my vision was not always so clear. I went to America's Best in Warner Robins next to Ross and they proceeded to railroad me out of $400 dollars. I didn’t get an exam and glasses for $69 or whatever the advertised price was. They acted like I needed something special because I was so blind. Mind you my daughter who actually wears glasses and cannot see got hers years earlier for the discount price. I was railroaded and cheated out of my hard earned money. If I hadn’t had serious health problems that could result in loss of consciousness and seizures I would have risked it and went off on them. Instead I paid and left keeping my calm. It was the worst experience of my life. Do not go there.

I called for appointment and asked if they take Medicare. Was told exam is included with 79.00 for 2 glasses. After exam was told I didn't need glasses so the cost was 69.00 for the exam. They do not take Medicare. I feel so scammed!!

Saw Ad for 2/$69.95 at Deptford, NJ location. Went in to have the exam, since I am diabetic I also requested a copy of the retinal and other scans which they said they would. After waiting 2 hours and finally getting to choose my frames I was told that the price was over $300 because the special didn’t include bi-focal lenses. Just another SCAM. After paying for one pair and the exam. They cheated me out of the retinal scan and other copies. I will NEVER go there again and warn my friends and family as to what kind of RIPOFF this company is!

I showed on my phone that I had an appointment at 10:15. They refused to see me because I don't speak English. I said through Google Translate that I filled out a form online and indicated that I needed help with communication. He refused to communicate with me through Google Translate.

Today I had a wonderful experience with Ieta and her team. Everyone was pleasant. My eye doctor was amazing!!! Ieta helped me in choosing my glasses and let me know how much my insurance would cover. I told her I just wanted the special and I would pay today and deal with insurance later but after her taking time to see what would be covered and what I really needed I was able to purchased with a small amount owed. Great Customer Service! Thank you!

I have tried 2 times to have them correct my vision with their eyeglass lenses since July 2023. I waited about 2 weeks for each eyeglass to be returned to me. Management refused to give me at least a partial refund.

I went there for the advertised price of 2 pair progressive eyeglasses plus exam for $169. Exam was good but when I was deciding on glasses the frames had to be from their CLEARANCE section and the area for closeup vision was only in the very center part. For the second pair, it was single vision only. $347 and after 2 weeks, they’re still not ready! Don’t waste your money!

If I could give 1/8 a star, I would. After buying 3 pairs of glasses, each pair felt like looking through a magnifying glass diagonally or like standing under water with rolling waves altering my equilibrium. I was told to get used to them. The glasses made me dizzy because the progressive lenses weren’t cut correctly. The employees said not to drive home in them. Great- glasses that are unsafe when operating moving vehicles. Corporate said the lenses were “only” off a millimeter. Progressive lenses need to be exact. The employees acted like I inconvenienced them.
The company held my insurance hostage after returning the first two pairs for months because they wouldn’t process the return through my insurance company, but when I gave up waiting and bought my third pair through America’s Worst again, the insurance worked. Sadly, those were the third pair that were cut or measured inaccurately as well. Single lenses users are probably not going to have as many problems as I did. Stay away from America’s Worst if you have progressives.

My experience with America's Best was not good. The exam was rushed. My vision has not improved with the new glasses. I went back for a re exam. The doctor would not recheck my eyes. He rechecked the glasses and said that they were correct. He also said he told me that there wouldn't be much difference from the old glasses. That was a lie. I asked him why then, did he sell me new ones. Wasn't the reason for new glasses, so I can see better. I feel like he was covering his ***. Either way I got ripped off.

I only gave a 1 star since something had to be filled in. I wish there was a negative, because that’s what they are. Worst place to go for eye care. I would get a “see an eye” snake before going there again. First, I verified my insurance when I first got there and was told I was covered. I had the exam by a doctor that was very impatient and said nothing. I was done and sitting waiting for my contact trials and claimed they didn’t have any. I purposely made this appointment to have contacts for vacation in 2 weeks. I asked for my prescription and they refused to give it to me. I was told I had no right to be given my prescription strength and needed to try out the samples they supposedly did not have.
My fiancé finally stepped in and insisted there has to be some trial pair for my prescription. All of a sudden a pair was mysteriously a pair was found. They insist I must wear them before ordering through them. Then to top it off, I’m not comprehending anything due to a severe concussion. If anyone reading this has had a concussion, there is a very tough time comprehending. They wouldn’t stop grilling me and then asked why I was still on my dad’s insurance. It’s none of their business but they would not let up and I kept trying to say that my dad can explain it better that I cannot understand and was getting upset.
This lead to the woman (if you are aware of the Whitehall, PA location), Brieanna, started yelling at me that I’m upsetting her and she didn’t do anything wrong. Then another arrogant woman started on me. Meanwhile crying because I can’t comprehend anything. Well, I did nothing wrong by trying to get an eye exam, want my own prescription to order my own contacts. I would go blind before going to this lousy, degrading, uncompassionate to a patient suffering from a severe head injury. They have my address, phone number, SSN…and my dad, up until today, was a patient. It’s not like I’m going anywhere. I will be calling corporate tomorrow to tell them what horrible workers they have and would rather not see than ever step foot through those doors of hell.

Went on 09/02/2024 around 2:30 pm for making eye glasses. Have me wait for 25 mins then told me that, they have only one person working and will be closing in 5 mins. Won't be able to help me. Then I went the next day at 5:30 pm. Have me wait for more than 1 hr. then told me we will be closing soon and won't be able to help me. So disgrace, I will never go there again neither for eye check up nor making any glasses. Not recommended at all.

I purchased glasses in June 2024, the lenses on my glasses are cracking. It has been 2 months of using them. When I called the store will not replace and I have no interest in paying money for such poor craftsmanship again. It is absolutely ridiculous and I would avoid them at all costs. I will be going to Costco for future glasses due to their superior customer service and amazing return policies. Also, when looking for glasses there was very little help from the store at 91st Avenue and northern - this was just a bad overall experience and I should have walked away after my first in store experience. Now I will have cracked lenses until I pay to replace them. Frustrated is an understatement. This is not normal wear and tear, the lenses are cracking at the edges after 2 months, I guess I understand why they have a 30 day refund policy. Picture provided to show cracks at edges of lenses.

My family has been going to America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses in Wiley Blvd. Cedar Rapids Iowa since we moved from Pennsylvania for years now. At the beginning we like the staffs, good customer service, very friendly, we feel that we’re always welcome there. They’ve changed management and staffs 2 or 3 times since we’ve been with them as we always get treated good before at least on our experience. This last 2 year they changed and management, the staffs. It’s not as friendly before anymore. I usually have my check up February or March every year but I pushed back mine till August of 2024 debating going same place since the staff's kinda rude.
Both my kids like it there and they keep begging to go back since they have a lot of cool glasses options, so I did make 2 different appointments for them. They’re still not friendly as before but each time they were busy so I can understand, and I give them benefits of a doubt so I made appointment for myself this time. I was going to order my first contact but before they can order I have to attend the class for contacts and I was aware of that already base on my oldest experience but hers was in the same day and I have to schedule mine a week later. So I have to take a day off from my work to attend the class, and I was fine with it. When I get there was 20 minutes or 25 minutes early. That’s just the way I am to any of my appointments, I don’t like being late.
I waited for my appointment at 3pm and listening to the manager talking to her employee about her quitting that she started packing her stuffs and the way she talked she was trashing talked about the company. I was patiently waiting for my time, the moment I walked there was not any customer but me, and I’ll just ignore them. Too much negative vibes in that place. 3:00 comes. The manager get up and I thought I would be taken care of. She was talking to the doctor and all I heard is, "She’s right there." so I got up and walk towards her.
I thought she would have me sit in the back, but she says, "Oh I was waiting for my assistant because she’s the one handling the class. Just have a seat wherever you want." So I went back to my seat, 8 minutes later 2 staffs walking in back from their break or lunch, the other one went straight to bathroom and the assistant manager just said, "It is too hot outside." I thought she’ll jump in right away since she see me waiting but no. She was walking very slow, in and out the office talking to the manager, and it was 3:15 already and I told the lady in the reception to cancel it and I can’t wait any longer.

Terrible experience with Eastgate Branch. Every time I call I am on hold forever, prices were expensive so I tried to fill prescription somewhere else only to find out the Dr. put a specific type of daily on the prescription that I had never mentioned using before. Called to have the brand changed and they wanted me to come back in for an appointment to change brand because it had been 60 days. Money money money is all they care about in my experience. Don’t fall for marketing hype.

It had been several years since I had been able to be seen. They made sure I had enough reminders of my upcoming appointment and exam. My wait was short, they called me by name and remembered me from past visits. The doctor had knowledge and told me what I needed to know, especially for future as not too far off I will need cataract surgery. She was quick and to the point. Talking over recommendations for my contact lenses, I have a few trial to see if I am comfortable in them.
Brenda ** was my personal who helped me and took a lot of time going over what to expect from my billing that day and helping me choose two pairs of eyeglasses. Helping me to see what looked best and would fit my face correctly. She was wonderful in helping my selections and I was very comfortable with her. Not pushy. Just had a big understanding of how people feel and what they need in corrective eyewear. Her knowledge of products are great! Sincere, honest person. Dr. ** is great and Brenda ** who assisted me was fabulous. I also got the Eye Care Club. Believe me. I used this before and it's well worth having!!

I was a previous customer. I looked up special (2 pair of glasses) online for $69.96 before visiting the store in Plano Texas. Went in with a prescription from my eye doctor and picked out frames 2 frames for the special, I wanted 2 pairs of sunglasses and was told they were $50 more per each pair, picked out 2 different tints and was quoted $250 without any coatings. I ask what happened to the $69.95 plus $100 for sunglass lens. They said I had to get exam for the special, I said OK and waited 45 minutes for exam. And optometrist said no I didn't, took me back, still $250 and wouldn't give me a breakdown, acted like they didn't even care! No wonder they have bad feedback. I left and will never be back. I WILL NEVER RETURN & TELL FRIENDS STAY AWAY!

I Went to America's Best Store Located In Citrus Heights, Sacramento. I needed to buy A Pair of Prescription Glasses with Tint, to wear as Sun Glasses.....I picked the Frames which were on Sale, but the Frames had the ear Tips on a color that I did Not like at all....So the Lady at the Store Told me that they Could Change the Color Easily, She even showed me they could Do It by changing the Tips on the Sample Frames. So I agreed to get the Prescription Glasses with the Promise they would Change the Color on the Tips.
After a Week, they Texted me, to let me know the New Glasses were at the Store....So I Went to pick them up, my Surprise was that they had The Original Frame color on the Tips, when I told the Representative that I had Requested to have the color changed and that they had showed me they can Changed them at the Store....They Refused to Do it, But the Original Lady who Helped Me with the Original order, was at the store so I talked to her.... I asked her to see what went wrong with the order and to see if She could change the Tips, like she did with the Sample Glasses I tried originally, She refused in the beginning but Did it Grudgingly at the end. But, for Some Reason she Could Not Explain....She could Not get the New Tips on the Glasses Right.... Like she did with the First Sample Glasses.
So at the End of the Day, I left the Store with Supposedly New Glasses, but they Damaged the Ear Tips of the Glasses, They Feel Rough and Every time I take them Off, after wearing them....The Tips pull my Hair. Plus, the Prescription is also a little Off. I am Not happy at all. I am Never Going back there again and I don't Recommend The Business. They make Promises they Can Not Delivery.

I had an eye exam which the lady was very rude. They couldn’t figure out my company insurance plan, I picked out a pair of prescription dress glasses & a pair of safety glasses. I had to drive 40 miles back to the store to pick out the pair of safety glasses again because my other glasses got lost in shipping. They couldn’t get neither pair aligned with my eyes. Few months later I found out the safety glasses I picked out requires a new nose piece every couple months. My third set of nose pieces that I paid for 2 weeks ago, I just found out were lost in shipping. The safety glasses that are required for me to work. Never again will I ever go back. Glasses were never right & very unprofessional business.

Horrible! We were there for TWO HOURS. There were more employees than customers. The staff are slow, disinterested, and blasé. I went to pick up the glasses over a week later. The “licensed person” wasn’t there, so they couldn’t give them to me. No apologies. To top it off, the QR code they give to review doesn’t work. AVOID.

Always the most dreaded part of the process is the last stage where you pick frames and then discuss financing. I have been wearing glasses for over 62 years so I've done this a time or two. Well, yesterday while at the Rowlett Office in Texas I was fortunate enough to meet Heather. What an absolute delight. She was extremely personable, knowledgeable and hands down the easiest transaction I have experienced in a very long time. Americas Best, take note, all of your office personnel should take a look at how easy she makes all of this while engaging the customer. I'm in Customer Service/Sales myself and if I could steal her for my company I certainly would. Heather, you're the best. Keep up the Excellent work. I took my wife there because they said that you could get exam free and 2 pairs of progressive glasses for 129. Well that’s not the case. By the time we got done with everything it was going to cost us over 500 dollars for the glasses. Very misleading on their advertisement so we paid for exam and left went to Walmart and got them a lot cheaper. Will not go back or refer anyone to this place.

I have been to this location on Delaware probably about 4 times to have my glasses adjusted to fit my face the way I wanted them to. Everything and everyone from the start of my visit to the end was amazing. Everyone was super friendly, polite, understanding and caring. They listened to my needs and did exactly what I needed done. We went to America's Best because they advertise 2 pair for 79. It was also listed on the Humana website as taking our insurance. When we got there we were told that since we had insurance we were not eligible for the 2 for 79. So only one pair of glasses and after insurance still had to pay $39. Will not go back again!

I have been going to the America's Best at 7636 City Line Avenue in Philadelphia PA for many years. Dr. ** is outstanding. He carefully goes over any changes I might have had since my last visit, shows and explains to me the images of both eyes which were done, and prescribes the proper glasses and contacts which have always turned out perfectly. Dr. ** is extremely knowledgeable and patiently and clearly answers any questions I might have…from what to do for itchy eyes, the general health of my eyes, my cataracts, and signs of when I might decide to have cataract surgery. America’s Best has a large collection of frames from which to choose, at great prices.

She is polite, knowledgeable, professional and willing to patiently help me choose my frames, After my choice is made, ** carefully goes over the different options that are available and the additional cost. I have used this company before and was happy with my service. They canceled my appointment twice, once with a computer glitch and once with a doctor calling out. Instead of fitting me in they wanted me to reschedule. I drive an hour away and decided that they really did not care about customer service so I booked an appointment at another facility. When I explained my situation I was told, ”Have a nice day”. Very disappointed.

I went there to get glasses and when they came back I could tell they were not correct. The older lady argued with me and said I just needed to wear them that I would get used to them. I went back a week later and they discovered they were not right. Supposedly sent them off, but they were still the same. Got my money back and went to Eyemart Express and got my glasses in an hour and they are perfect.

In previous years I purchased glasses & contacts from the America’s Best location on Wilmington pike and always received excellent customer service. However, I recently purchased no-line bifocals from the America’s Best location on rte 725 near the Dayton Mall. My first encounter was with Roberta, she was very courteous and professional and assisted me with my purchase.
My experience went from excellent to terrible when I came in to pick my glasses up. I noticed that my vision was blurry when looking through the bottom of the bifocals designated for reading closeup. I informed a girl named Sam. She kept telling me to read the card and that it will take two weeks to adjust to bifocals. I kept telling her I was looking through the glasses in the proper location for reading close up but the vision was blurry. I had to take the glasses off to see clearly up close. I told her that the prescription in the bottom of the bifocals for up close and reading was incorrect. She responded that “if I had gotten my exam from America’s Best, I wouldn’t be having this problem.”
I told her that I got my exam done by an ophthalmologist because, in general, they are more skilled than optometrists. She responded “they are not more skilled they just do different things.” I wanted to inform her that it takes approx. 8 years to become an Optometrist Vs about 12 years to become an Ophthalmologist but I didn’t think she would grasp the correlation. Finally, Jim ** comes over and heightened the level of ignorance by telling me that, "it was normal not to be able to see as clearly with the bifocals on as you can with your own eyes." I responded that, "I was never told that and it doesn’t make sense." That negates the purpose of bifocals.
I left the office wearing the glasses but I had to take them off because it was obvious that the prescription for close up viewing was incorrect. I came back the next day to return the glasses. Sam, approached me and I told her that I want to return the glasses because the lenses don’t have the correct prescription. She replied, “That hasn’t been determined.” I told her, “I have determined that the prescription in the glasses is incorrect.” Jim came to assist me after his break was over. I started taking the glasses out of the case to return them and Jim says, “You can just leave them in the case.” I told him that this case belongs to me.
I put these bifocals in an old case that I got with a previous purchase of glasses from America’s Best because Sam didn’t bother giving me a case for the bifocals yesterday.” He didn’t offer an apology for the glasses not working out or for the shoddy customer service rendered by Sam as well as himself. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this particular location. This incident is a poor reflection on America’s Best as a whole.

They will not go to their own warranty. I was literally told this my a corporation rep. We got my daughter a pair of glasses there 3 months ago. Well unbeknownst to us, they stripped the screw hole out where the ear piece connects to the frame, when they were putting her lenses in. The screw randomly popped out causing the ear piece to fall off. My daughter has very thick, curly hair and a chubby face, so the glasses didn’t fall off because they were stuck in her hair and on her face. So we had no idea that ear piece fell off until she took her glasses off and seen it was gone. So of course we have no idea where the ear piece fell off at.
We went back to the store. They saw that the screw hole was stripped out and even said it probably happened when the lenses were being put in and the screw was tightened. Their store, website, and automated system all say the frames come with a 1 year manufacturer warranty. Clearly them stripping the screw hole when they put the lenses is falls under manufacturer warranty. But they refused to honor it.
I called corporate and talked to them and they said that yes they do have a one year manufacturing warranty but in order for them to go to it they would have to pull all of that specific frame from stock and claim them all as defective in order to call it a manufacturer defect. And they aren’t going to do that so they will treat it as wear and tear even though they were the ones that tore them. So their only solution is I can just simply hand them over another $80 for another frame and hope it lasts more than 3 months. I’m filing fraud with my vision insurance company because America’s Best broke the frame by stripping the hole, then dispensed them knowing they were now damaged by them, and then refused to replace what they broke.

I assumed that would be the same service I got when it was Discount Glasses. I was wrong. I paid for expedited shipping and the site says it should’ve shipped on a specific date. However, several days after that date, it still hasn’t shipped. I have tried calling several times only to not get an answer and after waiting 30 minutes get sent to voicemail. They haven’t called back even after leaving voicemails and emails for multiple days. I ended up going with another place.

I am amazed by some of the people working for this place of business. Last June I purchased two identical pairs of glasses from America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses. Had my exam and asked for contacts as well. What the heck was I thinking? The day I picked up my glasses I commented that the transitioning portion wasn't working. I stepped outside while the representative stood at the doorway as I tried them on. She stated she could fix the issue and took my glasses. I sat down for a about 20 minutes, and she was back with my fixed glasses. I took both pairs and left.
Today 7/3/2024, I called the Dale Mabry location here in Tampa and spoke to Victoria. One thing should be known, if you chew your gum like a cow, we can hear you even when we do not want to. After hearing her chew and rabble through what they couldn’t do for me. I requested a manager to call me which she did 25 minutes later. Manager Yaneisy called and stated they would fix one of my glasses since the warranty for the other pair expired on 6/10/2024.
I picked up both pairs of glasses last year in June, but the manager argued and stated no you picked up the second pair in November. That does not make one bit of sense to me. I picked up my contacts in November. I literally was handed a box of contacts by the representative and told "have a great day"! She wasn't concerned if my contacts fit or not and promptly ignored me. I asked if I could try them on inside the store which I was told I could try them on in the bathroom.
Both pair of glasses have issues with them. One of the glasses has a line going thru my left eyeball and discoloration at the tops of both glasses where the antifog is supposed to work but doesn't. I paid almost $800 for both pairs yet can't get anything fixed. This was my first experience, nor will I be returning here. Most people I speak to say the same thing about America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses "nothing but a bunch of crooks", well from where I am sitting, I unfortunately, must agree.

This is the worst experience I ever had when buying eyeglasses. First and foremost, the doctor didn’t put the prescription in Properly. They made some glasses that I could not see anything out of. When cleaning the glasses with the towel that they give you the glasses will not become properly clean. I am so disappointed with America’s Best. I will never return there again. The glasses were a waste of money. Please be advised.

The staff don't explain the difference progressive eyeglass (distortion) and what to expect, All they do is sell prescription glass and can't do that right. Customer service is the worst (not helpful in any way). They do not help you fix your complaint or problem with glasses just purchase for $325. But good at overcharging. 100% don't go here for glasses big mistake. (2 pairs of glasses one for reading and one for distance with eye exam) my first pair of prescription eye glasses a total nightmare, I thought it would be a great to have my first prescription glasses, be left here dejected and disappointed, frustrated. Don't ever go to American Best!!!!

My first visit to the America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses in Folsom,CA was Tuesday, June 11. Having been a Registered Nurse since 1979, I am very wary and judgemental of any new medical facilities. My feelings of concern were quickly put to rest when I met and was assisted by the representative Michael **. He is the definition of the positive characteristics an employee should have. As soon as I walked in, Michael hastened to cheerfully greet me and usher me to a workstation. He listened attentively to my requests and solved my problems in a timely, efficient manner. His suggestions were spot on perfect and most welcome.
Corrective lenses are crucial to my active lifestyle. Without glasses I am unable to complete the most basic tasks such as drive a car, use the computer, complete household chores, and walk safely in stores. Michael placed my existing eyeglass lenses in a perfect new frame and ordered me a second pair for a backup. He was very easy to speak to as he made me like a comfortable, valued customer. I would highly recommend your facility to any of my friends and family. So grateful your business is located nearby in Folsom.

They only have an in person eye doctor once a month. I didn’t realize that when I made the appointment. When we got there and was called back, it was a virtual appointment. These guys charged me $85 dollars for an exam that was supposed to be free. The information they give is confusing, which I believe was done on purpose. In the end, the reading glasses they gave me were defective and they only refunded me $10 once they told me I had to leave the glasses there!. I had an appointment for 10:55 in the morning. I arrive there at 10:40 AM. We had two appointments. One for my wife and one for me. The manager was in the front desk. She asked for my wife's name and me. She forgot to put my file of of the doors so that way they could call me after me waiting there for 30 minutes. I went back to talk to the manager and she said, "Oops. I forgot that you had an appointment so l'll put you for the next person."
Went back. Waited another 30 minutes and by that time I had enough, so I talked to the manager. Manager, says that she did not know why, nobody has called me yet. We decided to cancel and leave. Magic manager did not care whatsoever. I called the one 800 number for customer service. No one will pick up the phone. You have to leave a message after two days. Somebody decided to call me and leave a message and there was no way to contact nobody either, really bad for business. I will not recommend it to no one.

After paying $418.00, I was told glasses would be back 1-2 weeks. I called after 2 weeks, and got bad customer service, and was told they are not here yet. I called week 3 and was given same information. Week 4 I went to location, and was told they were lost in box delivered to wrong store. I asked, why didn't you get inventory of box and contact all customers that would be effected by this mishap. I was only offered a cleaning kit. I was not offered a, "Will put a rush on your order." I didn't know that it would take 4 weeks to be told that they had lost my glasses. Very bad customer service, when they answer phone, their attitude is to get you off of the phone instead of providing a service that they care about you and the service that you are PAYING for!!!!

This is the most inefficient place I’ve ever visited. They are always running so behind! Doctor is great- sadly, she’s leaving. The staff, not so much. It takes way too long to check out. They never seem prepared and most often clueless. Even without needing a RX - they could not check me out until it’s “your turn”- which could look like you waiting for five other customers who still need to see the optician: pick out lenses, discuss options, pay, etc. Keep in mind my co-pay was $10 and I needed nothing else. They expect you to just wait- which is absurd, despite the fact that they have employees just sitting there awaiting- doing nothing while the optician is busy with her sales pitch. Just not efficiently run- it makes Walmart look like Nordstrom. If you can go elsewhere- GO.

My fiancé bought two pairs Of glasses, when he came home the next day one lens fell out and cracked. He put on his second pair of glasses only for the armpiece. To come out, he took them back. They wanted him to buy another pair of glasses for the broken arm and for the cracked one. They did absolutely nothing. I will never, ever go to that place again!!!!

My experience with this location (Brook Road, Glen Allen, VA), was amazing. Every person that my son and I encountered. Edrienne, was amazing, professional and very polite when examining our eyes, two different dates of appointments and each visit she had superior customer service. Dr. ** was amazing with my son and Dr. ** is just wonderful, she help me understand and embrace that my eyes are gracefully aging, lol. Very sweet and kind. As we were processed out of each appointment Tanya (my son's appointment) and Tyra (my appointment), both ladies provided us with exceptional customer service with detailing all information about our investment, yes investment because vision is a huge gift and it must be properly taken care of.
Overall, this location is warm, friendly and professional. Hands down recommend them to anyone that is in need of glasses or eye wear and want to be treated with professional but family like reception. Also, I would like to acknowledge that part-time lady, she is the work mom that every person should have. Very satisfied customer.

Went to America's so called Best in Charlotte NC. I bought into there 2 glasses with free eye exam deal. The exam went just fine I guess. They told me I'd need glasses for reading and for driving. Once exam was over they showed me their wall of glasses , but due to me being a big guy they said there where only 4 frames I could choose from out of there whole giant selection. So I figured out 2 frames and waited for my glasses. After receiving glasses the readers are fine for reading what's in front of you but if you turn your head in any other direction they'll just about make you throw up. My driving glasses helped with glare but just after 3 weeks the lenses bubbled up from being in car (heat I guess) either way can't see anything thru them now at all.
On top of all that, I was there for their special and by the time they could get me these 2 pairs of glasses that were going to help my life so much. The price had gone up to near 200 dollars. So now I'm stuck, right back where I started and they refused to do anything to fix the problems unless I pay for the whole miserable visit again. *America's Best* what a joke of a name for the service I received and no veteran discount either. College Rd, University location, Wilmington, NC. Do not support this company! Very poor service. While waiting for virtual Optometrist, employee sitting next to me had her head down on table taking a "nap". Overall experience was poor, including just over 2 hours of waiting, with my frames already picked out. I was told I would receive a call when my new frames arrived, which never happened, I called them after 4 weeks to find out they were ready for pick up. Here is the icing on the cake. I already created a poor review on this site, the next day I received an automated message from corporate stating I will be receiving a call from the district manager to discuss my experience. Guess what?? No call from DM. This tells me, they don't care to correct the issues.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at America's Best located at 4652 Millenia Plaza Way in Orlando, FL 32839. My encounter with **, an employee at this establishment, left me utterly frustrated and disheartened. Upon discovering that my father's glasses lacked crucial information, specifically the Pupillary Distance (PD), I called the store seeking assistance. **, with an attitude that reeked of unprofessionalism, insisted on asserting her tenure since February and her supposed expertise in all relevant laws. Instead of offering genuine help, she proceeded to engage in a baffling argument about why she couldn't disclose the PD over the phone, despite confirming other prescription details.
**'s lack of customer service skills became glaringly evident as she adamantly refused to accommodate a simple request, even after consulting with her manager, **, and the optometrist, **. Instead of finding a solution, she insisted that I physically return to the store, disregarding any inconvenience it might cause, especially considering my elderly father's presence. Her abrasive demeanor and unwillingness to assist reflect a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. Spending over $100 should warrant a basic level of respect and professionalism, yet ** failed spectacularly in this regard. Her behavior not only tainted my experience but also highlighted a systemic issue within America's Best—an apparent lack of emphasis on customer-centric values.
In conclusion, my interaction with ** at America's Best was nothing short of a nightmare. Her unprofessionalism, coupled with her inability to handle a simple customer query, left a lasting negative impression. I strongly urge management to reevaluate their customer service protocols and provide comprehensive training to staff members like **, who clearly lack the skills necessary to interact respectfully and effectively with patrons. Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend America's Best to anyone seeking quality eyewear and competent service.

I experienced unfair, discriminatory behavior from the staff at store #3947 on Olive Blvd in Creve Coeuer, MO. I purchased several pairs of glasses from this location. I visited today to exchange to damage pairs using the protection plan I purchased that is valid for one year. I provided the original receipt and glasses. The receptionist, Sharon, made me feel very uncomfortable with her comments and the way she looked at me. She then went to the other associate, Isaiah, and began whispering. He stated different procedures than I experienced in the past.
I told him I have been a patron to the brand for over 25 years and this was new. I agreed to do as he advised and I stated to him that I felt I was discriminated against. He then called me racist, and told me that I can go to a different store. Called me rude because I expressed how they made me feel. I asked him to please just complete the transaction but he would not. Instead he wanted to argue and defend his co worker's actions. All I wanted was to submit the claim for the replacement glasses but he didn’t do his job. I am leaving insulted and disappointed in.

I would NEVER recommend going here. Almost a month to get either contacts trial pairs and then they request you see them again and then if 2 weeks they will order new ones.. Terrible. We wait an hour Plus for the Pre exam room then that took 6 minutes after that an hour and half for the Dr and my Dr didn't even know how to spell half the medication I was taking (Then don't ask) and Don't ask the patient how to spell the medication because geez we won't KNOW.

Michelle at America's Best Eyeglasses in Mesa on McKellips is simple outstanding!!! I bought two pair of glasses and they worked great until one lens popped out repeatedly. Michelle worked for about 15 minutes cleaning them first then crimping and tightening them until they were perfect again. I did not expect this at all due to the low cost I paid for them… They have a customer for life and I tell anyone wanting glasses to go to America's Best…because they are!!! Thank you Michelle… You deserve a raise and should be training management in the company due to your great communication skills, caring attitude and overall skills.

Tried to buy online but purchase would not go thru. I had to call to place order. In my account after payment was made my purchase stated order not found. After 2 more calls the person said the order did go through and I would receive an email on shipping. After two and half weeks after order I did receive email. The email stated I would receive order two days ago. Now more than 3 weeks so called again and girl said I should call USPS. This company could care less about customers. Needs a complete management change.

I visited the America Best in Marietta, GA on 5/4/24. When I walked in the door I was greeted with a Very Warm Welcome. I had an appointment, she advised me I could look around at the glasses. I didn't wait long to be called for my eye exam. The doctor was very friendly and professional. Once was done with my exam the young man that helped me was SO SWEET, he was so patient with me. The supervisor called due to one of my lenses being on backorder. She was very professional. I would recommend anyone to this location in Marietta. KUDOS TO EVERYONE AT THAT LOCATION.

Went to store on Montclair Rd in Birmingham, second time back. Said I would not be back, hurry up eye exam, so subpar. Went to a real eye doctor made a world of difference. Cheap frames broke after 2 weeks, they would not honor the warranty. One of the staff even laughed. Never be back to any of their stores.

Do not order from the website. They got my prescription backwards, refused to fix it. The frames I chose were discontinued conveniently as soon as I ordered them, and since they won’t fix THEIR mistake, the frames are going to be donated. I have been wearing glasses since I was 8 years old...and I am 70. I KNOW what my glasses should feel like, look like, and how clearly I should be able to see. I can honestly say the glasses I received from America's Best are the WORST I have ever had. The lenses do not sit properly in the frame, I can't read without turning my head, and I am having to clean them every 15-20 mins. When I returned to the store for the third time, they suggested all the greasy cooking I do must be getting them dirty...since I do not wear make up. I don't cook greasy foods!!! The lenses not sitting properly is because I chose metal frames. I ALWAYS get metal frames so I can use the nose pads to keep the glasses in place to deal with my acute astigmatism. I was told there was nothing they can do for me. I had even bought the extended warranty but that only applies to breaks. Do I need to destroy these awful glasses to get satisfaction??? I am so disappointed.

I switched over to this store due to being able to get in faster. I was initially planning to still get my glasses locally, but decided I’d use them since I was already there. This was my second year. I have great insurance and explained that I didn’t want to spend over my allotted insurance amount since it covers plenty and I don’t need all of the “extras”. Because I’d gotten extra stuff last year the woman acted like that wasn’t even an option. She kept sitting me the top of the line lenses and that it would “only cost me a little over $200 out of pocket”. I said I didn’t want to spend that and instead of offering to go over the other options with me she proceeded to almost argue with me about what I needed. I felt like I was at a timeshare presentation and when I said that she acted so offended, BUT still didn’t offer to go over with me the lower cost lenses that my insurance would cover.
I basically had to say that I’d just get them later, but that I wanted the frames which she also seemed annoyed with. After that I said I just felt like getting what my insurance covered should be easier and I wanted basic lenses and then she finally said she’d order them. I will 1000% NEVER go back there. I don’t know if they work on commission or what the deal is, but she ruined the experience for me and I will never use them again. It was so weird to me that I was basically being told I wasn’t allowed to downgrade the lenses from what I’d gotten last year. Do better!

I have the hunch that most of the reviews here are either worker's friends, relatives, and they lie. I had set of progressive glasses made at the America's Best, a month ago I was examined and 2 weeks later I went to pick them up, like every buddy I to set and try them on and they did all the necessary adjustments, and after all adjustments done I had bring it to their attention that there was something not right, I could see better for reading if I had raised my head to the sky, looked through at very bottom like 1/4" off the bottom, and for far was not good at all, I saw very blurry could not see clear at any distant, actually if I looked at close for reading through the far section was better, I was told to try them for a two or three days and go back if still no good.
After trying them for a week I went back, the matter was not to get used to it is the vision that was no good, how can you adjust that if you can't see you just can't see, the big problem this is where starts, I returned to the store. The worker there take the glasses to the back room and returned 15 minutes later and tells me nothing wrong with the glasses. There is something wrong with my eyes, hallelujah is that right? And there is nothing they can do, maybe I should have gone to where they can fit my eyes to the glasses instead, so now I filed a complaint against and they call me to go back back to double check and see what they can do, so even though is is travel and inconvenience to me I am willing to give them the chance to correct the problem, then I will came back here and let you all know what will happen. No appointment needed! Yup walked in and they took my name. I walked to the waiting area in the back of the store. I sat down and waited there maybe 90 seconds. An "optometrist" did a few manual tests ....covering an eye and reading the last line, and then the apparatus that you put your chin on and answer a few yes or no's. That took maybe two more minutes. I have astigmatism and no mention was made. I walked into the front of the store and selected two frames, one for reading and one for driving.
I got an email about a week later that the glasses were ready to be picked up. When I received the glasses I tried them on. The reading pair was ok, I mean you can go to the Dollar Store and get these. The distance pair was not OK. I could not see the back of the store sharply in focus,, maybe 40 or fifty feet away. This was barely better than no glasses. I told the clerk and she said I should take them home and bring them back if I wanted to as they were guaranteed. I have been really trying hard to find this pair satisfactory. I have a problem. What if I go back and have the same problem again. .... Unsatisfactory. Driving there and back and store time takes at least 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
I wish I had read the reviews before I went to this store. I had made an appointment with another optometrist and the wait time was almost 3 weeks. That's why I went to America's Best. I had lost my glasses and needed to wear glasses when driving. In retrospect I should had I read the reviews and I would have waited for a highly rated optometrist. I had forgotten to cancel the first appointment and I got a text reminding me of my appointment. Without insurance the visit was going to be $400. So I cancelled.
Insurance only authorizes one appointment per year. I'm going to try and see a specialist as I need to be evaluated for cataracts. Perhaps I can get another opinion for a prescription. As the script from America's Best is worthless.. Sometimes it is better to wait for a highly rated professional next time I will believe the reviews and WAIT.

I went to the Wallingford CT location for my eye exam. They were nice enough. I told the Dr (if you want to call him that) that my current script was pretty good but need a tweak in one eye. Oh he tweaked it.... Fast forward a week or so and the glasses came in. OMG I could not see any distance...It was blurry. I immediately told them I could not wear these glasses. They wanted me to try them for a week stating because my eyes need to adjust to progressives. I told them I have been wearing progressives for over 10 years and never had to get used to a new prescription.
They proceeded to rebook me an appointment in another week. I saw the Dr. and he said he was trying to correct a stigmatism and my eyes were worse. If correcting something means not being able to see he did a great job....LOL....He changed the script and I waited another week for the glasses. These were better than the first however my original glasses that I walked into the store with were still better. After trying them for a day I went back and asked for all of my money back as well as the insurance they processed... I then went to a real DR. My eyes have gotten better and not worse. The difference in the scripts is absolutely appalling. Stay away from this location and this Dr. He obviously doesn't know what he is doing.

My first experience was great because I didn’t need glasses. The second visit was horrible. I paid a lot of money to get a wide range for my readers and trifocals. Didn’t get the blue tint so I could read the computer without hurting my eyes. Don’t get it. Went back and they told me it was on there. I had a pair of readers that had the blue tint and so I know it wasn’t on there. They insisted it was and wouldn’t fix it. Money wasted.
The third time was worse. 3 visits, 2 to see the eye doctor and the other to make sure the script was right. They got it wrong all three times. Sent them back 4 times and still didn’t get them right. Told me my brain had to take time to get used to it. When you get glasses, you are supposed to see better not worse! Also not when it’s blurry, seeing extra letters, hurt your eyes and headaches not after a couple weeks. They didn’t put the transitions or the blue non scratch on also. They finally put on the blue and transitions but the script was still wrong. Had to go to another eye doctor. Found out they put my lenses on the wrong sides and it they were not supposed to be that strong. I will never go back to St. Joseph Missouri’s America’s Best again. $773.00 thrown in the trash. I can’t wear them. Just to spend more for another eye doctor and spend more to get the right ones.

Went for eye exam, then ordered 2 pairs of glasses...1 for work, I had scratch guard put on both glasses...It was one of my best experiences...Even picking up glasses all seemed to be good....Days later I was wearing my everyday glasses...Took them off and looked through them holding them on front of my eyes and into a bright light and noticed a hairline scratch on the left eye...No way I did it...It had to be during process. I took them back and they took an alcohol wipe and cleaned them... Didn't take it away but seemed to improve...They never saw the scratch..Even Dr. came out and took a look and couldn't see it...I told them you can't unless through a bright light....
I thought they would fix their mistake but they said it would be under my warranty but advised me not to because it had only been a couple of days since receiving them...I was like Wow...Not affecting my vision so I left dissatisfied scratch and all....Look them over in bright light before leaving I guess...I hope this helps the next person...

I saw their ad for eye exam and two pairs of glasses for 79.00. That is a lie. I made an appointment for my eye exam and contacts exam. The people were nice, but they rush you through the exam really quick. I was then told it would be two to three weeks before my glasses would be done. They gave me a temporary pair of contacts. They do not fit my eyes and the prescription is wrong, I called them explain the issue and they said the earliest appointment would in two weeks. They were not professional on the phone either. Looks like a waste of 130.00. I should of went back to Eyemart express. I just made an appointment and will have glasses the same day. Woot woot.

I have been a customer of America's Best for about 10 years now, and I have never had a negative experience, till today at the Pembroke Pines, FL store. On April 15, 2024 I went for a new eye exam and new glasses. I had a good experience as always. Unfortunately, today April 29, 2024 I went to pick up my 3 pairs of new glasses. One of the frames, I had purchased it in 2016 and I have only used a few times, but needed new adjusted lenses. When I left said frame with the lenses several weeks ago, the frame was as new and straight as when purchased. The legs aligned perfectly, they were straight and normally tight on the face. When the glasses were returned to me by the representative Mr. Felix **, we both were in shocked, with the way the glasses looked. The legs were completely open and uneven to the point, the glasses would fall off.
As much as Mr. ** tried to get them to a normal stage, it was impossible. He then apologized to me and spoke to the Asst. Store Mngr., a very nice young lady (unknown name). They both agreed, the glasses were beyond repair, but needed the GM Odette **'s final approval to order me a new pair, at no cost to me. Ms. **, made every excuse possible, for a new pair to be ordered without any cost to me. On the contrary, she insisted, for me to pay and/or purchase another new pair. Even though when my glasses were dropped off to Mr. **, they were in perfect condition. She heated the frame, over and over again, to try to get them to the normal look. But, every single time, the legs opened up and looked uneven, to the point of being uncomfortable to wear.
We were approximately more than an hour with this issue and at no point did Ms. Odette ** offered to order me a new pair, without me paying for them. Even worse, at no point in time did she offer an apology on the matter. But she did repeat several times, that the glasses looked as new. I wanted a refund on the glasses, but my original lenses were thrown away. I need either my refund for this purchase, or a new pair of glasses without any cost to me. Please, I would like a response ASAP on the matter, to know what to do next. Thank you for your cooperation.

I’m really disappointed that this was the only option by my insurance for eyewear. At first I thought customer service was good at the store, but then when I had to come back to have my glasses refit properly, they ignored me when I came in. Never even acknowledged me and were clearly understaffed for a Monday. The glasses are uncomfortable. They slide forward. I had them fit once already. They didn’t ask me about having darkening glasses which I had previously and I mentioned when I ordered the glasses I falsely assumed that was going to be added to the prescription so I had to re-order my glasses on Zenni. You’re better off just getting an eye exam and buying the glasses elsewhere.

I went to the one in Gravois Plaza in St. Louis and the outcome was terrible!!! 1 month ago I went there to get an exam and 2 pair of glasses. After 2 weeks I called and it was said that they are on back order. Week and a half later I finally gets to pick my glasses up and right off the jump I knew there is something wrong. I told them but got send on my way like, idk what I’m talking about. Well I went back twice and by the second time she gave me an appointment with the dr again. Now he gave me a totally new prescription and I gets to wait 2 more weeks for my glasses and now I have to do my Europe trip with my ugly, old glasses. This was the last time I used America's Best eyeglasses!!!! Also, their customer service is very poorly.

America's Best is one big scam. Not only do they position the expensive frames under the cheapest frame section so you think that you’re selecting $79 frames but they don’t allow you to take the frames you paid for without them adding their lenses. My son broke my frames and I went in for their eye exam + frames for $79. I did the exam, found the frames and asked to take one pair with me (to insert my old lenses while I waited for the new ones) and they said I couldn’t do it. What???? I’m paying for them and asking them to only do one set of lenses instead of two and they said no. It made zero sense except for the fact they wanted to charge me for 3 pairs of frames. Ridiculous!
If I’m paying for them I should be able to say I don’t want new lenses in one of the pairs. Complete hustle. And, when I asked Kai the tech assisting me if she could pass along my comments and disappointment she held her hands up, looked around and said, to who. When I replied, "That’s okay. I’ll just leave a review," she busted out a card and proceeded to tell me that the best way to handle would be to call this 800 number and they would be able to pass my concerns along. Wow! Threat of a review and just like magic she had a solution. You may pay a little extra elsewhere but at least you deal with honest people who care about the customer experience and want to help you find a temporary solution while you wait for your new glasses.

Want to share my experience with America’s Best Tukwila, Went to America’s best in Tukwila on Andover Boulevard. Have been a customer of theirs for over 20 years, was met by a very rude, employee usually the girls that help me there are very nice and helpful. This time I was met by a guy which is OK and I am not bias by any means of who helps me, wanted to get some contacts which they usually have in stock, was asked for my phone number.
As I am thinking of my number I said the first three digits, which was the area code. The employees start moving his hand in a circular motion like hurry up and tell me like I am bothering him or something as he’s doing this with his hands. It’s further made it difficult to remember my number. I am a person who will always call out rudeness, so I began to let him know that what he was doing with his hand was bothering me and making me not be able to concentrate on the question that he asked, I let him know that that’s very rude and not something that he should be doing because I am the customer.
I did say a swearword and the manager stepped in and said she would not help me if I continue to use those kind of words, which I totally understand and take responsibility for but at the same time it takes away from the fact of why I had to say anything in the first place. At that time when he noticed the manager was on his side decided to keep going with the rudeness and mind you I had one contact in at the time, told me don’t look at him that way. I explained to him that I wasn’t looking at him.
Anyway I only had one contact in and I could barely see, and I would not normally continue to give them my money with him being this rude but at the time I needed it. I wanted to see if my insurance would be able to cover the price of the contacts but he told me he did not know how to do it which I understand if he’s new. He may not know how to do that process. You may not understand why I’m making this, but it was more of the condescending gestures than what he did said, I could totally read on his face that he did not like me which I don’t care, but at the same time I am a customer and want to be treated with respect.
I have been a customer of their for over 20 years like I said at the beginning and have never been treated like this at this store. I work for King County Metro and have very good insurance. Since I am comfortable with the process I continue to do business with these guys. I am going to change soon. If you go into the store you do not deal with this man because there was a woman in there and she told me that she was rude to her on the phone and she had to ask for another person to speak with.
I have never left a review for any reason in my life but I just want to share my experience because it really left a bad taste in my mouth. I give this company a star for this experience and I hope that they will correct the employee and let the employee know, he is there for their, and not for his own. Good luck to you guys. If you are going to use their service I would not. You always want to spend your money where you’re treated great or at least OK. Went in just to get the frames of my wife's glasses bent back to normal. They got bent in a box from packing. They told me she had to be there. I told them if she could be here she would. Just want them bent back so when you set them down all four corners touch. They said no and insinuated that my wife's head might be crooked or that's how I took it. Should I have told them she was in the hospital? I don't think it would have mattered. I can see why this America's Best had no customers. 6 employees working and not one customer. I just wanted them straightened out. I will drive 60 miles out of my way to my old America's Best where they will help you. And that is in Boise Idaho. Avoid this store on marketplace in Nampa Idaho like the plague. Amazing how 30 miles can just change people. These people have no place in customer service. Good luck to you.

I am deeply disappointed in America's Best, it cost me over $800 for contacts and glasses. It is not better, it’s worse. I would rather go to an eye doctor where it’s not a scam. The eye doctor was good but the glasses guy that checked us out was awful. No explaining, no idea what was going on. Save the money, don’t go here!!!! I would not recommend the Westport Rd. Louisville, KY. location. The optometrist could not get my prescription right after 3 trial pairs in the office. He eventually offered to change the prescription to my old prescription but this defeats the point of getting a current exam. I was not confident at all that I had received a good exam. The office staff was polite and the manager apologized for my experience. I was not charged for the visit but unfortunately I will now have to carve two hours out of my week to be seen elsewhere.

Had an appointment in the Tigard, OR office for a much overdue eye exam. The technician and doctor (Dr. **) were friendly and very efficient. My questions were answered and I felt no push to get out the door. When I told them I was ordering my glasses from Zenni and just needed a prescription, there was no animosity at all. I would highly recommend them and they are very reasonably priced.

The eye Dr's are awesome and most of the other staff but the quality has gone WAY down unless you get the 300$ glasses (which we all can't afford). So I got the basic ones and one pair pushed into the side of my head and cause pain and the other pair fit nice until they literally fell apart in my hand, if you can't afford 300$ glasses don't go here or you get 0 quality.

The America's Best experience seems to vary with store and staff. The worst experience was in Yonkers. Customer service is poor. Front door staff person is unwelcoming and does nothing to try and accommodate requests. The poor level of customer service is not worth the eyeglass savings. Compare stores, they differ in quality. You may have to travel a bit to get to a decent one.

Place is total chaos. I am still waiting for my glasses from March 6, 2024. Nobody knows anything. I have been getting the runaround the entire time and here it is April 5, 2024 and still NO GLASSES. I will NEVER do business with them again EVER.

I had excellent experience with Francis, the manager of the store in Silver Springs, MD. He is attentive, helpfully, not "pushy", knowledgeable. Even when returned, 6 months after I got my glasses, he treated me awesome (without buying anything). This is true customer service!

Had a great experience at America's Best of Gastonia. Lesley B was incredibly helpful in resolving my issues and even took extra time and effort to assist me in attempting to find a frame that had been discontinued. She called other locations and sent out a request in hopes that she could find the specific frames I was seeking. Lesley showed me similar styles, but in no way pressured me to purchase anything. She has wonderful customer service skills and is a genuinely kind person. I will definitely continue doing business here.

I went there again, to get new glasses because the last time I couldn't see well. In fact, they were blurry. I went without their glasses and continued with my old pair. Anyway, I went again, and explained to the dr that the last pair were a waste of money and horrible as I wasnt able to use them. Anyway, I decided on one more chance. This time the dr did take his time. Anyway, by 3 weeks no one had called me. I called them, only to find out that they werent even sent out. They did promise that they would be back within 3 days and they were. Problem tho. They only found one pair and I had ordered two. The person "M" offered me a refund and I just took it because they had no idea what happened to the 2nd pair. I was very disappointed to say the least. Now I will just order online.

I have never been to a vision place that did not have my trial lenses in at time of service, I had to wait a month to get trial lenses and then another month to get a trial lens appointment. I really liked the doctor but I would never go back there. Other places I have been, I get my trial lenses in a week and then just pick them up, I have never had to see the doctor again unless there was a problem with the lenses.

I had an amazing experience at the Brandon FL location. My glasses broke early in the morning and I took them in to get replaced. The ladies at the counter were amazing and were able to repair them until I could get new ones. I appreciate that dearly. That's unsurpassed service. Kudos to that team in Brandon Florida.

This was my second WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE using the America's Best Eyeglasses. I have to say, they really care about their customer satisfaction. I'm very pleased that they opened another beautiful store, here in Clearwater Florida on Gulf to Bay Blvd., because it's closer to home! This time I had a free eye exam worth $69.00, I could have had a more in depth eye screening, but I see an eye surgeon 2 times a year to get the imaging done, so it wasn't necessary. I called this location in the middle of the afternoon and the doctor could see me in 25 minutes, so I decided to go. I arrived about 10 minutes early and was greeted by a couple of very friendly staff members.
I was shown to the least expensive frames I asked for, budget is essential to me! I wanted one pair of trifocal transition glasses for everyday and trifocal sunglasses for driving. I made my decisions about the frames which were very much high end looking, not at all cheap materials for the price! Thanks to the helpful opinions of Toni Ann, Daniel, Emily and Steph! Next, Dr. Paulina ** did my eye exam. She is fabulous, she took the time to get to know about me and how I live, my accident related to the paralysis of one eye, my needs in the sunlight, etc. She's very smart and personable. Next, Steph measured my frames and marked my lenses for the correct trifocal height. I might add, we practically shook the place laughing!
Lastly, I believe Isabelle was the one, forgive my brain lol, who re-checked the measurements of the glasses, then I paid for my glasses and within a week I was able to pick up my new, beautifully made glasses, for less than $425! I'm seeing better and safer on the road, now that I'm wearing prescription sunglasses, not squinting through over the glasses ones that distort things. Thank you everyone, America's Best Eyeglasses is really the best!

I had an exam on the first of the month. Still waiting for the glasses on the 19th. l guess it takes them longer to get glasses than for them to give a refund or take your money. Asked for a refund. No one called me back. l ended up going to Walmart of all places. Got great customer service and glasses within a week. l would recommend going to Walmart than there. The free eye exam isn't worth waiting a month and having to take a Uber to get around cause you can't see to legally drive not to mention the headaches you have to deal with while waiting. Not a good place to go. Try someplace else before considering this place.

I went to America's Best today to get the eye glasses I lost replaced fully expecting to have to shell out the money. After speaking to the gentleman and having a good laugh that I only had them for 2 weeks, he generously offered to replace them for FREE! Two weeks ago I had an eye appointment. I literally took pictures of the frames in the store. I later sent them to the online email Department and asked specifically the types and prices of lenses that would fit the frame. Days went by and instead of answering the direct questions online, the female referred me to a phone number to call. I called the number and it took 30 minutes for a different female representative to not know simple questions and it was like pulling teeth in order to get a direct answer.
After the apparent useless conversation, she lied and claimed that she would put the items in my cart so that all I had to do was go online and make the purchase. Needless to say that never happened. I called the next day and explained the situation all over again to another female representative. Somehow she put me on hold and came back to the phone and said that she changed my account password. I informed her that I said nothing about a password but she was defiant, claiming that is what I asked her to do, despite the phone call being recorded.
Days later the supervisor finally contacted me and she was so clueless that she asked me if I still needed to know the price of an item. She clearly didn't do her due diligence and gloss over the notes regarding my account. So after weeks of me not having my glasses, I realize that America's Best Has Fallen all the way off and it is a well-rounded catastrophe. They need to be investigated because people's vision is at risk. These female employees were terribly strong-willed on not listening while being unprofessional. I basically had to try and teach customer service to their non-existent customer service but they still couldn't figure it out. So after 15 years, I've come to the conclusion that America's Best is TRASH at best.

I went to Covington GA America's Best for my yearly eye exam. I usually go somewhere else but because I work in this area I thought I would try them. I had my exam and was issued my RX for glasses and contacts. My glasses RX was totally different from what I have had in the past, contact RX was good, but I didn't question the change because I am not the professional. When I received my glasses my right eye was out of focus on the glasses because the RX was wrong. I called and they had me come in for a "Retest" and they said my RX was good, but when they printed it out it was TOTALLY different. Now I am going to pay out of pocket, because I used my insurance on them, to go get the right RX for my eyes. I wasted time, money and energy and will never do this again. Staff was friendly, not their fault.

Pros: Easy to get an appointment, best deals are cash and file your own insurance (it seems), Doctors and eye exams are comprehensive. Cons: Staff is often inexperienced. Web does not show when store orders arrive. Getting glasses transferred to another store is a hassle. You go to one store, order and tell them ship to another store and they won't? Ship to their store and then they screw around transferring the order? Makes no sense..

I had my eyes tested at America's Best in Miami, and then bought two pair of reading glasses. When I picked them up, I couldn't read with them, so they offered to remake them. Again, they were useless to me. Even though it was their doctor that tested me, and wrote the prescription, I could read better with cheap drug store glasses. The person at the store said they couldn't do anything about it, and suggested I donate the glasses to the Shriners. Although I think this is a great charity, to pay America's Best for these useless glasses is a waste of time and money!

Unbelievable, I am speechless. I went to America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses expecting to get the 2 pair of eyeglasses as advertised, but when they came in, I was told that because I have insurance that we (my wife and I) don't qualify for the 2 pair for $79.99. Nowhere does it say if you have insurance you cannot get the deal. They use actor Jaime Foxx to promote their products and he may get something in return, but as a consumer I don't believe that it is fair to advertise something and you don't honor what you are advertising. FALSE ADVERTISING. Stay away from America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses, if you have insurance.

We know that the USA is the land of capitalism. We can buy things and services very easily, so each establishment needs to have a difference. The difference between America's Best has the best Optometrist ever. Maria Teresa ** is wonderful and treats us with so much affection that for me as a client it is one of the only reasons I come back every year and get my glasses done with them. There are several options here in Des Moines with even more frame options but I only return to this place because of this excellent professional! Maria Teresa, you are the best in Iowa!

HUGE CANCER tumor not caught at America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, my eye had to BE REMOVED a month later! Went to America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses on 9/18/2023 for exam and glasses, ALSO paid additional money for FDT and RETINAL IMAGING. They said everything was good and ordered me new glasses. When glasses arrived, still couldn't see well. Went to Michigan eye care provider on 10/16/23 who informed me a had a HUGE CANCER tumor on my eye. University of Michigan appt on 10/18/23 who informed me I had a huge 19mmx19mmx8mm choroidal melanoma tumor on my right eye. Eye was REMOVED on 10/30/23. Life expectancy is SHORT. America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses were PAID to do a job and FAILED to do it properly. I had a detached retina on top of the huge tumor on the back of my eye. My previous few America's Best appointments were 12/08/21, 12/28/19 and many before that.

I made an appointment as I had bought in the past in SC. Here in VA I made the appointment. Was nearly an hour late waiting to be seen. Did have a good clerk after the fact that assisted in selecting the best deal. I waited ten days then called to check to see if my glasses arrived. It was told me that one pair had arrived but the second pair had not. I was also told I'd receive a text message when both pairs had arrived and were ready for pickup. I received that text message late that same day. The next day I went in to find that only one pair had arrived. Two trips will have to be made now. The glasses I did receive for distance have a blurry edge all the way around both lenses. (The glasses are clean.) That is one issue...
I will wait for the second pair... the reading glasses. (Not the progressive lenses I desired but due to the deal I went this route and unless perfect will buy a pair of progressive lens glasses as well.) Two trips a must, a blurry set of lenses I doubt I can ever wear for distance. Now waiting on the second pair... May be three strikes but two strikes is already bad....

This branch the one in Tigard takes your money, and supposed to have glasses in 2 weeks. Do not trust them. They charge you, and do not deliver product. They are not open the hours that are posted on the door. They tell people they do not answer the phone as they cannot do any business. They don't call you, and then I called Customer Service, and they won't give you the name of a manager or district manager. One department says glasses are there, another department says they aren't, and I am wondering if they ever even put in an order and Oh BTW they charged me $350.00 for a cheap set of glasses. My review is a warning not to go to the Riverdale America's Best in Coon Rapids Mn. My wife and I needed new glasses, went to America's Best, eye exam was good, rushed but fine. We then found out we don't get the eyeglass special if we want to use our vision insurance. Ended up being $300 instead. Gail the manager took care of us, she was very nice while we were spending money. I ordered 2 pair of glasses, both transition lens and both progressive lenses. In other words, two pair of no-line bifocals that darker when in the sun. I also ordered a spare pair of just frames because I tend to break the bows. When the glasses came they were lined bifocals. I said that's not what I ordered and was told that's what was ordered.
Sent them back to be redone, they arrived a week or so later. This time the spare frame had my distance vision prescription in them. Not what I ordered. One of the other pair had what I had ordered, the second pair were prescription brown sunglasses, again not what I ordered. At this point Gail (the store manager) said quite loudly, enough to have other customers look our direction, "You're costing me a lot of money, I'll send them back but it's the last time". I replied I didn't cost them a dime, it is their mistakes costing them money. She said, "You got free Distance vision lens in the spare frame." I said again, "Because of your mistakes. I didn't ask for free lenses." Throughout the conversation she was rude.
They sent the sunglasses back, a week or so later I got the correct glasses in the mail. No fitting, no adjustments on my glasses, I won't go back to the Riverdale store. Their customer service is about the worst I've run into. Now I'm having trouble seeing at night with the new glasses, makes me wonder if the rushed eye exam gave me the right prescription.

I ordered my contacts on 12/26. Expected ship date was 12/28. Today is 1/10 and they still haven’t shipped and the company can’t give me a ship date, or even return my emails. If you call, a recording tells you they’re behind in shipping, don’t make additional calls or emails. Basically, I feel they’re telling me they don't know what they’re doing and there’s nothing I can do about it.

I made an appointment in November of 2023 for January 15, 2024. I received a text message that the appointment was canceled. I called them to see why it was cancelled and they said they don’t have any eye physicians for that day. THAT IS NOT MY PROBLEM! The manager was extremely rude and I don’t appreciate how she was talking to me! I have made complaints to everyone I can possibly think to make a complaint with about this company.
First off you should have called me as suppose to a text and they should have at least provided me with a trial pair of contacts my exam has been up since October of 2023 and due to the appointments I had to wait for 3 months to get in and now I have to wait until February. How am I supposed to see until then without my contacts. I have been with this company for over 10 years and this has been my final day!! I will make sure I spread the word to never get services from these people!!!! They DO NOT CARE AND THEY DO NOT ACCOMMODATE!

This is the most unprofessional place I have ever been in. The staff is so unprofessional and loud. The place unclean and the waiting room is like being in a bus station. The exam is so outdated. I guess you get what you pay for. There wasn’t any hand sanitizer. The place smelled like hotdogs. This place just looks like a bus station.

I went in for my eye appointment's November 20th, it was a Monday, the order for my glasses didn’t get placed until November 24th, their excuse was orders were backed up because it was a Holiday week. 7 days went by and I heard nothing, so I called on the 9th day asking if my glasses were in. They said they were not because the lab had lost my frames and my frames were out of stock, which I was never informed of when I picked out my frames. So I waited a few more days, I called again and this time they told me UPS lost my second pair of frames and that they’ve been having this issue a lot lately, I asked when they would be in and I was informed that I would have to wait another week. As of right now I am on my 19th day of waiting for my glasses. I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 13, I’m currently 37 and I have never had to deal with this much incompetence in my life to get my glasses.

My glasses were really loose so I bring them here to the Bellevue location on Main St. to adjust before my month long vacation. The associate helping ended up CRACKING the lenses, hands them to what I think was the store manager, and runs away. The store manager acts like this is no big deal happens all the time (don’t warn the customer) with a smirk on her face and says, “You can still see out of them".

If this is America's "BEST" then we're in big trouble.... From the terrible product manufactured at their "lab", to the lack of communication with updates, disheveled staff and even an "Area Manager" in from out of town, it was all a bad dream...until I had to return the $800 glasses 2 months later as the "scratch resistant" coating was non-existent. They sent the lenses into the lab, fortunately I had my old script that my eyes adjusted to. Hooray! I got a call that the lenses were in, only to find out they didn't fit my frames any longer.....Back to the lab they went.
I got the automated call to tell me they were in. When I arrived, after drawers were rooted through, I was told, after the staff member looked my info up on the computer, that they were still "in transit." A total of 16 days went by and I called concerned. As suspected, they were there, "just came in today and they were getting ready to call me." When I arrived, they couldn't find them again, frantically looking for another name the associate was referring to me as I constantly corrected her pronunciation. After a while, they indeed found the elusive glasses and I ran out the door, I won't look back or BE back.

I went to America's Best Eyeglasses recently for an exam and to choose frames. The glasses I have now are progressive bifocals and I was having trouble reading up close, it was blurry. I made an appointment here in Bakersfield, Ca. and when I went in the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The doctor who did my exam was very nice and answered patiently any questions I had. Daniel was the tech who helped me with choosing my frames and he was so patient with me. I had decided instead of getting bifocals again I would get just to see up close.
When my glasses came in, I could see great for up close reading, but when I looked up at Daniel I couldn't even read his name badge, he was a little more than arms length away from me! Now I realized I did need the bifocals and Daniel and I discussed this. The progressive bifocals of course would be more money, but the manager and Daniel said due to my inconvenience they would apply $150. dollars off my new pair.! Such great customer service! I am waiting now for my new glasses to come in. My thanks to Daniel who was a superb employee, so patient with me!

There are 4 young ladies, all useless and don't know their job, they don't have enough work so they are sitting to see who come from the door. They do not have any knowledge about eye exam and insurance, all they can do, giving wrong information and wasting your time. Useless people without any knowledge, don't go there, you will waste your time and money besides getting headache whenever you see these 4 uneducated people that do not know anything about eye and insurances. Ok I usually go to Walmart but decided to give them a try and I definitely regret it! The doctor himself was a nice guy and the lady doing the pre-exam. They did my exam asked what kind of contacts I wear and said they only have their brand but they are similar to the ones I wear. Well right away I could tell that wasn’t the case, they were much larger and hard to put in. The doctor had to help me get on it. Well at first they were ok but I could tell they were in there and by the time I got home were bothering me. Had to take the right one out because my eye was burning bad. I have really bad eyesight -8.5 in the left eye and -8 in the right so now I can’t even see.
I also got a script for glasses because my other pair broke so I don’t have any backup. I called them to ask if there was ANY they could find a pair of my contacts like call other doctors until my order came in. They were so rude and so dismissive as if I didn’t even matter. Told him my eyes were burning and he didn’t even recommend me coming in so they could look at my eyes. Told me he could order my brand sample but it would be two weeks. Told him I already ordered them, I just need one pair to last me the 3-5 days it’s going to take. Basically pleading with him at this point for help, and he just dismissed me as if I weren’t even a person. NEVER AGAIN! I do not recommend them at all, they don’t give a ** about you and only care about the money they make.

Pricing is nonsense and misleading. So for example, two pairs for 79 dollars. It's for frames from blue wall, and plastic single vision. So, if you want to have one pair as a spare, and upgrade one pair, the deal goes away. It becomes one pair for 79 dollars plus the price of the upgrades, and now the second pair costs 60% or 48 dollars. Seems like the extra cost should just be for the upgrades. But nope, it adds the cost of the upgrades plus 60% of the original price. So, if you were to add a 20 dollar upgrade to one pair, the cost for two pairs would be $147, not $99. It's their policy, I just want everyone to be aware.

I went in to get my nose pads changed (Beavercreek OH), and they ruined my glasses! I left spending $291 after their "gracious" discount as compensation for what they did to my current pair. First, the tech put the pads on backwards, and then, after constant manipulation of the pad's stem, my glasses don't sit right. I spent over 2 hours there, ruining my Saturday afternoon. I didn't get mad. The techs tried to make the situation right by offering a 40% discount, but that still required me to pay $291! Long story short, I called today. I found my current frames on eBay for $35.99. They didn't hurt the lens, so they could be salvaged. I asked the manager if she wanted to compensate me for the $35.99 for just the frames, but she said they didn't have a way on their register to enter that kind of transaction (I guess customer goodwill is out). I finally asked point-blank: Do you want to apologize for the inconvenience? -- Nothing! Not a darn word! BEWARE! Horrible customer service!

The employees are not only disorganized, they are incompetent and rude. Over the course of 3 years, they have misplaced my files, forgotten my prescriptions, canceled my appointments, and forgotten to place orders on frames I never received while still charging my insurance. I spoke with various "managers" over the years about their questionable practices, and nothing changed. Recently, I tried to switch to contacts. After 2 eye exams, 3 different doctors, and a variety of trial contacts that did NOT match my vision needs, I was highly discouraged. The doctors would give me a trial set and tell me to come back in a week to follow up. At one point, one of the doctors told me that the previous doctor had my contacts in the wrong eye. So, he switched them and told me AGAIN to come back in a week. Frustratingly, I continued my commitment to become a successful contact lens wearer by persistently attempting to meet with the doctors.
After 3 months of persistently following up, receiving confusing/conflicting information, seeing different "substitute doctors", dealing with inconsistency, long wait times, and everchanging lens strength, I was ready to quit. I was going to try one last time to follow up and try to get the right prescription. Again, I made an appointment, and they cancelled via email rescheduling me to another time (ugh). Begrudgingly, I made changes to my schedule to make the appointment. When I got there, a woman claiming to be a manager, Destiny, met me at the counter and told me she had to charge my insurance again, even though that was not the policy. The issue was that they could not find the right treatment for my vision needs. I did not need to do another eye exam, I needed a qualified medical professional to make an accurate assessment on the eye exam in which I already paid for.
My follow-up appointments were due to negligence on behalf of the doctor’s interpreting my exams, not from inconclusive data on my end. I responded with, "No, I've already been charged for the eye exams covered by my insurance, you guys are the ones who are having a hard time with my prescription." She then said, "You have been in 3 times and the contacts still aren't right, contact lenses obviously are not for you, and there is nothing left we can help you with." She was very rude, and I was concerned as to why she would say that, as she is not a doctor. I recorded the whole interaction and have spoken to my attorney. I would not recommend this location at all.

I picked up a pair of sunglasses here in April. By July they were already broken. I wore them barely 10 times. ** was unwilling to replace them. Avoid this place and its very low quality products and rude associates. Tony at this location offered an insulting deal of 10% off of a replacement.** then changed it to a 30% off deal.
The above paragraph is America's Best's lousy response to this complaint. Both of these "deals" are basically the same cost as a new exam and buying a whole new set of 2 glasses. Definitely best to go elsewhere. Spend more money for better customer service and better glasses.

Spent nearly $400 for a pair of no line bifocals. 3 week’s delivery time and the -1.75 was done as +1.75? On one side or lens. Said it was a typo but really? 3 more weeks to replace. Drove an hour each way to get the glasses. Not happy and they didn’t really seem to care.

When I first went there the doctor told me to go to an eye specialist because of my cataracts. I ended up getting the glasses anyway and sure enough my vision was not improved. I had the cataracts removed and now see 20/20. Because I had previously purchased the glasses I inquired about having them turned into readers. Not only did they accommodate but did it for free!

Had a problem with the eyeglasses I purchased from their Ct store. Went back to the store. They said they could not help me so I called the customer service # for their corporate headquarters. I was on hold for almost an hour and finally gave in to their offer of leaving a message with a promise for a return call. Left two messages in two days. No response. They are a classic example of a company who feels now that they got your money, they will ignore you if you have a problem.

She was extremely helpful, guiding us through the various options our insurance offers and the type of glasses (both regular and sun glasses) and glass protect we need. From the time, Miss ** answered the phone. So the time she hung up, I found her to be very pleasant, funny, helpful, and she still managed to be very professional at the same time. I made an appointment for my uncle who is getting up in age for a set of eyeglasses. By the time the conversation ended not only do I feel confident in my uncle, receiving the service and products that he needs. You will not be able to purchase a pair of eyeglasses under $300.00 even with insurance. They add on expensive options. I tried to buy a basic pair for under $ 200.00 which was not possible. Get a price upfront before you agree to purchase.

After visiting America’s Best and paying almost $1000.00 for one set of glasses and a year’s worth of contacts, I priced contacts and glasses at other mall stores and found contacts from other sources of the same brand at half the cost. Even though the lenses and frames were also overpriced I decided to keep them. I was able to return the contacts but there was a long delay in getting the refund. My main complaint is the claim of a $200.00 rebate to convince me to buy the contacts when it really only amounted to $15.00. This type of sales tactics is unethical and should be exposed.

Other Eye places are all about sales and not about what the customer can afford or their needs. My store off of 5609 Sierra Springs Lane in Fort Worth, Tx is awesome. Regardless of what the advertisement says, nobody gets 2 pair for 79.95. You will be lucky if you get out of there just spending a couple hundred. Got me and my wife to pay $199 for some basic **, sure you might get 2 sets of frames for around $100 but that's with no lens. It's very misleading the way they advertise over at America's Best, more like America's ** artists.

First available appointment was in the Jacksonville store location in River City shopping district. I was pleasantly greeted upon entering the store for my 10am appt. I was signed in and shown where to wait for the technician to do our eye testing for the Dr. to review. I did not wait more than a couple minutes to hear my name called. The technician was efficient and kind. Again within minutes I was greeted by Dr. ** who is a lovely human being. I felt he asked pertinent questions during my exam which lead to the prescription he wrote. I was very pleased with the interaction.
My next step was to receive instructions on how to handle, put in and take out the contact lenses. This was a little tense for me but I achieved the mandatory three times placing and removing the lens. The gentleman who instructed me said I did very well and brought me to the door and stepped outside to see if I could see with my new contact lenses. I did in fact see everything he pointed out. I was excited to be wearing contact lenses however I kept saying things were still a little bit blurry. I was told my eyes will adjust and I felt confident they would. When I got to my place of business, 2 hrs away, I was watching the clock to remove the lenses after wearing them for four hours as instructed.
I attempted to remove the Right eye lens and could not get it. I moved on to the Left eye and had no problem removing that one. After almost 20 min with no success, I stopped and rested my eyes and tried again 30 min later. I was dragging the area over my cornea down toward the bottom onto the white of my eye that didn't work, I watched a video and they suggested moving to it the right on the white of the eye, tried that with no success. After several more attempts, using a bright light and magnifying mirror I gave up.
At 6pm I called the local America's Best in Ocala and asked for assistance. They did not have an optometrist in until Friday, it is now Wednesday. The very nice person BETH suggested I flush the Right eye with the saline they gave me with the contacts. If I'm not feeling it in my eye or if I don't see the lens looking up down and side to side, it's likely it's not there at all. Beth put me at ease and allowed me to relax. She reiterated that she would be in the next day but the Dr would not be in until Friday. This could explain why I felt blurry vision when I left the initial location. I must not have placed the lens back in my right eye at my practice session.
Fortunately Thursday I had business in Gainesville and walked into the America's Best store there. They received me graciously and without a minute's hesitation LINDA looked up my record on her computer, asked for my ID and gifted me another complete pair of contacts in the prescription that was given to me by Dr. **. Thank you so much LINDA.
This allowed me to keep using the prescription in preparation for the two week follow up to evaluate the correct lenses for my vision correction. I cannot say enough about the organization of this company. Appointments, eye tests, meeting with Dr for evaluation and getting a great pair of glasses or contacts with ease for amazingly low prices! I couldn't be happier with the staff and organization. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Cons: Any specialized request will incur an upcharge, including (in my case) a request to polish the lens edges, usually a standard practice. I have a high-minus (thick) prescription and requested that the lens be mounted in the frame such that the thick lens is mostly behind the frame as opposed to in front of the frame (an industry standard if not a simple request that I've made elsewhere for decades) only to have the manager tell me that this was not possible (?!) at America's Best. Use this business for your emergency pair of glasses or other un-critical eyeglass needs.

I scheduled eye exams for my three (3) children (15, 13, 6) with America's Best online and was ready to move forward. When I booked the appointments I found it odd I was able to book my teens' times 10 minutes apart (10 & 10:10 am), but when it came to the 6 y/o the appointment couldn't take place until 12:10 pm. All three (3) were booked at the same location on the same day.
Today I receive a call, to change my appointment date for the 6 y/o due to the optometrist having strict rules of ageism on patients under 7 years old and over 70 years old. The store manager informed my wife and I because of my 6 y/o age we needed to reschedule for two (2) weeks later, since the optometrist feel she would take longer to exam as would anyone over 70 years old. This is the procedure at EVERY location. The manager even tossed in if the elderly has high blood pressure or other medical issues. How can you advertise you are more of a family friendly practice, but when it comes to these two (2) age groups excuses are made.?!

I paid for H Index Glasses and get cheap polycarbonate, the prescription on it was wrong, I couldn't read the small prints neither see far...First time was sent back and second time was wrong as well!!! BE FOREWARNED. I bought a pair of glasses from America's Best on Aug. 24, 2022. I ordered the special lens with extra clarity and scratch resistance, at a much higher price. After 7 months my glasses had a cloudy film on them with some scratches. I use lens wipes and soap and water or just water to clean them. I am a 64 yr old handicapped female. I don't engage in a lot of activity to warrant the scratches and I have no idea what the film is about. I went to the store in Harahan, Louisiana. Where I purchased them. I was told nothing they can do about it. My response was, "don't you stand by your product" Theirs was "you have a 6 week guarantee". WOW! Just 6 weeks. I then called corporate office and was told the same thing. It seems just another company out there for MONEY ONLY.

Despite this 1-star visit yesterday here, I still made a purchase. That's because I have the patience of a saint & because Sheena (Sales) made it right for them. TY Sheena. This HORRIBLE 1-star experience was due to the abysmal customer/patient care by Lizzy + EMILY. >>> 1st; I show up 15min early for my 1pm appt. I was unexcitedly/rudely greeted by Lizzy at the front desk who was simultaneously somewhat helping another guest in front of me. Despite that, while seated firmly in her chair rather than standing to greet a guest while still helping another guest, she RUDELY asked what I was there for (wow!...So I say I'm was there for an eye exam & to buy glasses per the appt I setup in advance, pretty basic set of facts - hence the reason being there, it's a retail store for glasses/eye exams).
>>>She then, while the other guest is still in front of her/me, ask for my PRIVATE INFO while this person is standing there (wow!...breach of privacy is obviously not a concern for her...So I say sure, here is my insurance card that should help you). She then tries to push me in for "the exam" despite me informing her in advance of that that I wanted to look at glasses/frames 1st to try to find a style that would work for me, which would be more logical of an approach to start the process off. She reluctantly agrees to this (wow!...like I need her permission to look at their selection of glasses/frames as an open-door retail storefront?!? WTH, is she a "bouncer" at a nightclub?!), so I then walk over to look/browse at their selection, with Lizzy obviously upset/dismayed about this. This interaction with Lizzy spans about 15 min or so getting them info/etc/Q&A to get all of details in their systems.
>>>Then, after about 5min of me looking at their selection of glasses/frames, EMILY (from the sales floor) decides to chime in by rudely addressing me as I'm patiently browsing their selection & tells me that "I have to, I MUST, MAKE A QUICK DECISION" on "what I wanted to do" or else "they couldn't help me on my visit" because the doctor was going to lunch at 1:30pm (wow!!!...this is ALL HAPPENING 20 minutes prior to that). LMFAO!!! (Wow!!!...so there's ONLY 1 DOCTOR in the whole facility or they ALL GO TO LUNCH at the same time, what kind of organizational capacity is this!?! Like, what in the actual heck is happening & who let the dang children (Lizzy/EMILY) run the daycare!?).
EMILY 100% lacks tact, situational awareness, & the demeanor to be engaging with retail customers/patients. Makes no sense on earth for a sales associate, in the middle of business hours, to interject themselves blindly & brazenly into a situation to try to force a customer/patient into buying something "the way they want" them to. Bush League & Disrespectful, period!
>>> So much for white privilege & wearing a $7,000 watch to avoid being negatively "profiled" by this EMILY, who is obviously an under-educated, short-witted, condescending rep that needs to be re-educated on how to interact with the public. I went to their store in Abington PA when I was visiting family in Pennsylvania. The rude behavior of the staff prompted me to buy my eyeglasses somewhere else. Even the prescription given to me by the 'optometrist' there proved to be inaccurate and I had to have another doctor test my vision again. (This was how I found that the first prescription was inaccurate). Keep away from this establishment.

I decided to start wearing contacts again. I went there hoping I'd get good service and prices but the service is subpar so I don't plan on continuing with them to see about good prices. To start off with, the exam took less than 2 minutes and I'm not exaggerating. I found that strange but they're the experts, right? After the exam I sat with an employee to discuss my options. I explained that there is only one brand that has worked for me. He insists that I start with the "house" contacts first. Okay, that's fine. He was aware that I require bifocals but told me that the trial pair would be in the following week. I never received a phone call so I called them. No, they're not in yet. I call back 2 weeks later. I was informed because of my prescription that it takes longer for them to come in and no they are not in yet and someone will call me when they do come in. I wait another week and still no phone call. So, I call the 1-800 customer care.
She explains that they are at the store right now. So much for that phone call, right? They can't get me in for another week to try the pair on. So far we're going on at least a month waiting for these contacts. Try them on, employee has me read a chart and I can see it, no problem. What I can't see is my hand right in front of my face. Dr. comes in, I tell him about my non-existent up close vision and he says he will make the bifocal stronger. Fine. I kept the trial pair I had in and went ahead and wore them and kept a pair of reading glasses on me. Everything was fine at first, but they started drying my eyes out (just like I explained to the employee who insisted I get the "house" pair) My right eye is completely blurry, all the time. That's when I start thinking about my 2nd visit.
The Dr. never once looked into my eyes to see if the contacts were fitting correctly. It's possible that the weight is off and they keep rotating or most likely the entire prescription is probably wrong. On my first visit I was given my prescription for glasses that I could take anywhere to buy glasses. Okay, well I wanted my contact prescription, too. I'm told they can only give me that once I find a trial pair of contacts that fit and that I can see clearly through. So, what does that say about my glasses? How can my contacts be the correct prescription but my contacts may need an adjustment? That doesn't sound right to me. Anyway, I still haven't received a call about the other pair I should be receiving, but I won't be able to use those anyway because like I said earlier, either the weight is off or the prescription is wrong so I will have to wait another month after 2 months of waiting already?
Also, when the Dr. said on my 2nd visit that he will make the bifocal stronger, he never checked my vision to see how much stronger the bifocals needed to be!! I'm trusting these people because they're supposed to know what they're doing. I've decided that I'm not using them. I'm going to ask for my money back on the exam and take my business elsewhere. I just got now got off the phone with Customer care. They informed me that the store would be responsible for my refund so the lady called the store for me and told them the situation. The manager at the store called me and asked when would be a good time for me to come in and get my refund. The lady at the 1-800 number was super nice and helpful. The outcome was what I wanted and I'm very happy to be able to take my refund and go somewhere else.

Heather at the Rowlett location is a gem! She made my experience the best I have ever had in the 40+ years of visiting the eye doctor. She was patient when picking my frame, and when I had problems with my lenses, she helped get it straightened out. It turned out that I couldn't wear a certain type of lens and she made sure the doctor and lab took care of me. Thanks Heather for your expertise, knowledge, patience, and caring. She is the best!!!

Purchased 1 pair of Nike Rabid prescription sunglasses. Attractive, good fit, but temples broke at hinges. Returned for warranty replacement, but they broke again. Replaced the temples 3 more times in the past year. While America's Best initially provided good service, the quality of their product was found to be unacceptable. Now, I am left with a $350 pair of sunglasses that are unusable, and America's Best cannot help me.

I wish I had read the reviews before I went here. I went in to check out eyeglass frames, and nobody helped me, or even acknowledged that I was there. I felt discriminated against. I was the only ** (mixed ** descent) person in the store, and there were many other people who came in after me who were helped to look at frames and purchase glasses, so I left. I went back a week later to order my glasses. When I received my glasses, there was a lady helping me to adjust and fit my frames. She was rude and seemed to be frustrated with me. Another lady walked into the store, and the one who was helping me started talking to the other lady, and brushed me off. She told another lady to help me, while she went to another customer. Then I have been wearing my glasses for over a week now, and everything still looks distorted on the lenses, and the frames have been digging into the back of my ears. I hope I can get a refund.

America's Best run advertisements about getting eyeglasses at a good price. That may be possible if you want very plain glasses only. You only walk in there if you intend to pay at least $400.00 or more. They certainly are not the best, not the most reasonably priced nor the most professional.

I had an issue with my glasses. I went into America's Best at 2:14 South Wabash Chicago Illinois. Store is 5511. ** is the employee. ** did a fantastic job for me this morning. I need my glasses to see in the position that I hold at my job. I must read fine print all day. She assured me made sure that my glasses were correct that they fit me well and that everything was going to be wonderful. I really appreciate your dedication to her job and more so her commitment and compassion to the customers that frequent America's Best in downtown Chicago, if all companies had employees one 10th of **'s character all experiences regardless of where you go will leave you with a smile in a willingness to continue to do business with that service or company. Most people only take time to write a review when they're upset with something. There are a number of negative reviews which I don't understand. I'm basic and don't have to wear designer glasses so a contact lenses exam, 2 pair of glasses (with a progressive lens) all for around $250. Total price at America's Best completely eliminates the need to carry costly vision insurance. Guarantee vision insurance is more than. $250 a year.

They don't put your real eye measurement in the contact prescription. They just decide what brand contacts you should get, then write the size of the contacts as if that was your real eye measurement. What if you went to a shoe store, and the shoe salesman decided you should get Reebok shoes, but they only came in size 7. Then for your shoe size chart, they wrote the size of the Reebok shoe they sold you rather than your real foot measurement. That way you’re locked into buying Reeboks rather than a brand that fits your foot. I went in asking for Freshlook Colorblends, but they sold me AirOptix Colors because that was the latest greatest. They were horrible and didn’t fit my eye. I ended up with red eye. They gave me the wrong prescription in my left eye to boot because they decided I was older and wouldn’t see up close even though I see near great

WARNING! Pay attention to ALL the negative reviews they are 100% accurate. The horrible experience was from beginning to end. 1. No one helped me choose eyewear. I had to choose my own. 2. When the lady finally helped to take the measurements for my lenses she commented “if that’s the lens you want for your face then fine.“ I was appalled at her comment but having had everything already done figured let me just finish with this sale and never come back. But it only gets worse from there. 3. Two and a half weeks later after not hearing from them I called to see if the eyeglasses were ready. I was told they weren’t and not to call asking they will call me.
4. Two more weeks later I called and they were ready. I never received a call. At this time the woman who answers insisted on mispronouncing my name even after I corrected her. It’s a simple name to say but she wanted to pronounce it her way which was offensive as her pronounciation is a Wicca practice. 5. I went to go pick up my glasses and I was completely insulted at the treatment. Then lady at the front desk handed me the glasses and said “Here let us know if you need them fixed”. I was left alone at the table to adjust the bridge myself and look for things to read to make sure the strength was correct because she sat back at her computer and ignored my presence.
I got a pair of designer frames and they gave me a cheap plastic generic case. That was a ripoff. You could never get me to go back even if they were giving away $$ with free eyewear. The experience was so bad I will be emailing my insurance company in hopes they are removed from acceptable opticals my insurance covers.

I purchased a pair of $350 DKNY Glasses and when I went to pick them up, they told me that it didn't include a case. On top of that, the salespeople are more concerned about chatting with each other than actually helping customers. I never even got a call that my glasses were in.

All except one customer service reps talked condescendingly and acted annoyed during service. Glasses took several days to be prepared- no problem, however, prescription was wrong when I sat to actually use them at home. They seemed fine in store, but under rushed conditions. When I returned them, I simply stated that I could not read small print through them. Lady was very rude to me. That has lingered with me for over a year. Will NEVER return.

On Sept 24, 2022, my eyeglasses were ordered under my husband's insurance due to a mistake from the store manager. The eyeglasses were also ordered with the wrong prescription also by mistake of the store manager. I went on 10/22/2022 to pick them up, and my husband tried to order his eyeglasses but Freddy ** the assistant manager was rude and refused to switch the claim from my insurance account so my husband could use his benefits, after all it was not a mistake on our part but rather the store mistake.
I called the insurance and I cannot fix it. The provider America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses had to fix it. Unfortunately the assistant manager refuses to call the or to provided me with the Area Manager's phone number. Also according to him the Manager walked out of the job. At this point I have reached out to the Corporate Office of National Vision which is the main company hoping that I will be able to return the glasses with the wrong prescription, void the insurance claim and restart the process with another provider. Very sad situation, I am years old and I have never experience such a bad customer service and rudeness. Usually when a business makes mistakes they are willing to fix the situation and offer an apology. In this case they asked me to fix their mistake knowing I cannot. No apology, no solution and a lot of rudeness.

Earlier this year I had an eye exam, and bought 4 pairs of glasses from America's Best. I received the first 2 pairs and they were OK. I received the 2nd 2 pairs, and they were obviously not made correctly; the prescription was way off and I couldn't see with them. So these had to be re-made. Since then I have noticed with all 4 pairs that the left lens is 'correct' (crisp, clear vision) BUT the right lens is not. Vision is blurry. I didn't notice it initially, but since I have it has become annoying. SO I called them to try to fix the problem and was told they will only repair problems within 90 days of purchase. It seems to me that since the problem is obviously their fault - they would be willing to fix it. But, unfortunately, they are more interested in not losing a small amount of money than their reputation. I do not recommend America's Best.

I had a eye appointment Sept 28 at Ridge Road, Greece NY. Now, I checked with Davis Vision this location is listed as "in network", the Greece location website says accepts Davis Vision and when I checked in I handed my Davis Vision Insurance card to the person. When the exam was done and I did not want to buy glasses that day, I was told they will not bill the insurance company and I would have to pay the $59.95 for the exam. Why should I pay when I have insurance, I was told "no pay no prescription". So I left.
Called the store to check where the miscommunication was from, the person who answers the phone said he would call me back (trouble logging in he said), still waiting for the return call. Emailed corporate was told Davis has many different policies and the store manager will contact me. Now, My time is valuable, I had to leave work early for this appointment. I just want the eye exam and can shop another day for glasses when I have more time. I am a repeat customer, and this is just bad business. Sneaky, fraud. Now I want to verify they are not going to bill the insurance company and not go after me for this.

I ordered my son 2 glasses a little over a week ago. I paid a fee of $11 for expedited (1 or 2 days). I received an email asking for the prescription that I filled in to the order online. I emailed the prescription to their support team. Then I called them yesterday and I was transferred to multiple agents. Some simply hung up the phone. Others told me that they cannot find my son in their system. After the third time I asked to speak to a manager. She was NO help. I Still have no information on the glasses I purchased for my son. Except for the "thank you for your order'' and "email your prescription message." So they can see my order because they sent me an email requesting a prescription I already sent but they can't pull it up when I called. At this point I just want my refund so I can go to Walmart. Because my son can't see too well at school. Ordering from America's Best was a mistake I will never make again.
