    I was happy with the eye exam itself. However, I ordered 2 pairs of glasses to get the deal, and after they made them wrong the second time, they then said they needed to charge me $186 more to make them correctly. When I said no and asked for my refund, they refused to give me the full refund, and so I’m out $138 for the $69 exam. Customer service was terrible, and no one could figure out why they couldn’t get the refund right.

    I recently experienced the worst customer service at America's Best eyeglasses located in Laurel MD, after 3 trips. The first appointment my prescription was put in wrong, I wasn’t aware of it until I received a call that my glasses were in, upon arrival I was disappointment. I had blurred vision, and one pair of the two sets of glasses were not even mine. I then had to make another appointment for eye exam, the correct prescription was ordered for my glasses. Received another phone call that the glasses ready. After leaving the location I found out that they were still not what I ordered.,

    I have been wearing prescription eyeglasses for about 25 years and have never had an issue with any place except for America's Best. My lens fell out 3 times!. One time I lost the glass, so had to go back to the store to have it replaced. My husband ordered a small frame. When he went to pick up the eyeglasses, the frame was a big yellow plastic. Not even close to what he ordered. He was told that they didn't have the frame he ordered! so they just gave him whatever. He reordered a similar frame and had to wait to have that done. Not to mention a wasted trip back to America's Best. I have absolutely nothing positive to say about this company. Not work the time, money or trip.

    I went to America's Best on 38 Street in IN Indianapolis for my contact lens classes on April 7-appt at 3:15pm. I got there on time but I was told the other person was on lunch and I had to wait for another 30 mins or re schedule. LIKE SERIOUSLY???? How do I leave my house, come for an appointment and be told to reschedule? I decided to wait those 30mins but still the girls looked busy and didn't care I was there. The girls at the front desk do not care about patients at all, never got to attend my class even after I paid for my contact lenses. Up to now, nothing has been said about my lenses!!! HORRIBLE patient care.

    I have used America's Best for the last two years, the eyeglass prescription issued by the optometrist have been wrong. I experience this when I go to pick up my glasses. I have had to go to a third visit to get a correct prescription. I proved this by going to an independent optometrist and getting different results in what America's Best prescribed. Needless to say, this will be my last time using this company.

    I went to America's best because they were cheaper than insurance. They offered two pairs. The staff were rude and unprofessional. I am beginning to think I did not see a optometrist or doctor. I think that they brought in someone with a white coat from the street. Then when I left they unsealed and warned my glasses would be horrible unless I gave them $60 more. I got my glasses they were terrible. I could not see anything. Called the store. They said only cost of frames $45. I paid a total of $150 not $99. They stated that even though I proved the script was wrong would not give the remaining $90 back.

    I called corporate. They finally agreed to it. They said I had to go to the store physically with my card. Their system only allowed physical location. I had no transportation. I was promised a check. This started on 03/05 no check. First a check takes three weeks then nothing. I finally got the district manager who promised a date and to call if not received. No check and no manager. Then the check machine is broken and will call when fixed. Nothing. BEWARE. SCAM.

    If I could choose -10 I would. they made my lens wrong. I saw double vision out of it. When I went back just simply to have it redone I was told I was "aggressive" even tho I never raised my voice nor did I make any personal attacks of the manager. This location is at 2nd street in el cajon. I got a refund and will never return. Stupidest management style I have ever seen. So much "victimhood" is the immediate response rather than taking care of the customer. Beware of "Ebony" the manager. The assistant manager talks so much that she is the reason the lens was ordered wrong in the first place but all is blamed on me for being "aggressive". Not sure what that means but that is how management is handled these days. Attack the customer. Go elsewhere.

    I visited America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses – The District South Jordan, located at 11534 S District Main Drive, South Jordan, UT, 84095, for an eye exam scheduled at 1:00 PM. Due to traffic, I arrived 9 minutes late. Despite the minimal delay, I was told I could not be seen because it was already lunchtime and there was no flexibility for late arrivals. This lack of flexibility was disappointing, as unexpected delays happen. I ended up wasting my time and couldn’t get the exam done. It would be helpful if a healthcare establishment could show a bit more understanding for such a small delay.

    I will NEVER order from America's Best again. I ordered a new pair of glasses online on 03/14/2026. I was told by the representative that the glasses could be shipped to a local store. I went ahead and placed the order. I received an email on 03-17/2026, that my glasses would be arriving on 03/18/2026. However, just an hour later on 03/17/2026, I received an email that my order had been cancelled. I immediately called customer service and I was told that the order was cancelled because the store was not an America's Best location. I confirmed the address with the customer service representative and indeed it was the correct location.

    After realizing their mistake, the representative was very shallow and tried to get me off the phone. When I asked to speak with a manager, he instead connected me with a supervisor and I was on hold for over an HOUR! The supervisor stated I could complete the order all over again. I refused. As of this date, I have not received a refund, Even thought hey stated it was just a hold. I will NEVER place an order with them again. NEVER! Unprofessional and deplorable service.

    Bartlett location Hwy 64 Wolfchase area. If I could give this place no stars I would. America's Best extortionist in town maybe. This place is a scam, save your money, go somewhere else or they'll hold your prescription hostage for more money! Despite having paid in full for my eyeglasses and contacts exam, after a trial pair of contacts that did not work. They are impossible to reach to get a follow-up. After a month I made a regular eye exam just to get in to see them. They tell me it's been "3 months" you will need to pay for another exam; out of pocket of course since insurance only covers one visit a year, to get my contacts which I already paid for.

    The staff demonstrated a blatant lack of competence, failing to honor the basic aspects of customer service. Repeated attempts to contact the office via phone have been met with silence, as my calls and messages remain unanswered. This unresponsiveness only exacerbates the fact that I didn't have what I paid for. I found it particularly egregious that their team attempted to strong-arm me into paying for an additional eye exam to receive the product I have already paid for. This tactic is not only unethical but also deeply unprofessional, suggesting a disregard for your customers' time, money, and overall satisfaction.

    As a consumer, I expect transparency, prompt communication, and ethical business practices. Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been the opposite. Not surprising since their BBB complaint is at 33%, I just added another. Save yourself, go to Costco, Target, or a real eye doctor don't waste your time here. Unless you're willing to bank roll $800 plus for a pair of glasses and no contacts. Also fyi the 2 pair of glasses they advertise is a joke, a subscription based lie.

    America's Best eye glasses. The reason they have an owl spokes animal is they don’t give a HOOT. Their glasses are flimsy and do not have a trained staff. They couldn’t even replace my lens which popped out. I had to come back the next day. How you spell junk > America’s Best.

    Well the results are in! America's best should a have a class action suit filed against them for selling the most inferior product! Whatever process they use for there scratch coatings and anti-glare are the biggest scam in the eyeglass industry! I bought a pair of glasses from Walmart and cleaned them the same way I did the junk I got from America's Best and no scratches, in twice the amount of time when America's Best garbage began failing. America's Best is the BIGGEST group of thieves besides politicians!

    Just now New. If I could leave zero Stars I would. They have zero communication at all. Had an appointment set up for weeks then 2 days before they call and tell me that I'm going to be seeing a remote eye doctor. Get the hell out of here. There's no way I'd be spending money or using my insurance to go there to see a remote eye doctor. These people are ridiculous... Sad.... Who goes to the eye doctor to see the eye doctor, Then when you're at the eye doctor's office they tell you you have to see a remote eye doctor come on... Either shut down or get some doctors in there. What the hell...

    Terrible, waited 3 hours and had a virtual eye exam. The quality of the glass included in the exam were cheap so you need to upgrade to a better frame the exam and pay hundreds more. Not sure if I’ll ever see the glasses

    I’m extremely disappointed with the way this office handles appointments. My son and I had our appointments scheduled, and they were cancelled not once, but multiple times—always the day after they were originally set. Each time we made arrangements, took time off, and planned around these visits, only to find out they had been cancelled. It’s incredibly frustrating and unprofessional to repeatedly cancel on patients with such short notice, especially when families are trying to coordinate schedules for both a parent and a child. Reliability and respect for patients’ time should be a basic expectation for any office. After experiencing this several times, it’s hard to trust that future appointments will actually happen as scheduled. I hope the office seriously reviews its scheduling practices, because this level of inconsistency is unacceptable and very disappointing.

    I am a returning customer to this location and was hoping to have an eye exam and order new glasses today. I arrived this morning as a walk-in, since your location advertises that walk-ins are accepted. However, when I arrived, the front desk representative informed me that the schedule was already full for the day and that no walk-ins were being accepted. This was confusing and frustrating, especially since the same situation occurred at the Millennium location as well.

    If walk-ins are advertised as an option, it is unclear why customers are turned away upon arrival because the schedule is full. As a customer, I rely on the information provided when planning my visit—particularly when taking time off work to do so. I would appreciate clarification on your walk-in policy and whether it is actually available to customers. At this point, I’m very disappointed with the experience and hope this issue can be addressed so that other customers do not encounter the same situation.

    America's Best is the worst ever. I paid for an exam and I just want my prescription and they won't give it to me now that I'm not there. I moved and I called back asking for my prescription or my exam. We have prescription but they tell me I have to take another one because it wasn't finalized. You know. I went there. They looked at my eyes. They gave me a sample sample contact no and it'll be fine like what else do they need from me? I just want my prescription and they will not give it to me. They're literally trying to blackmail me or extort me so I have to go there and won't it won't just give me a freaking prescription like I've already paid for it. Where is it? They're the worst ever.

    While the lady who initially helped us pick out the glasses for me and my child was very nice. My glasses have still not been received. When my child’s glasses came (days after mine's supposedly arrived at the store) I was met with resistance about fitting the glasses to my child’s face. As a result my child’s glasses are not properly adjusted and continue to need to be pushed up. I’m also almost positive they did not bill my insurance but charged me instead. When you call the store they leave you on hold for long periods of time and I must did not spend well over 200 dollar on a pair of glasses to not be fitted correctly/still not received after being at the store for 3+ days.

    NOT HAPPY. Have been waiting 4 weeks for pair of glasses. 1 sun 1 clear. Sunglasses came in in 2 weeks but Due to lenses the frame stretched much wider than my head. Had to reorder. Clear never came.

    Bad service waiting time long. It has been over a month and still no glasses. I read the overall review. Lots of complaints about quality and waiting time. I see they use Trustpilot. That tells me a lot of bad experiences and trustpilot deletes and manipulates the truth. I do trust or like anyone who uses trustpilot. So wherever you see trustpilot let tell you beware not the business

    She gave me a few days to try on some progressive lenses; if I didn't like them, I could return them. But when I went back, the manager told me that wasn't possible. I explained that I had already spoken with his assistant, but he said that he was the manager and didn't need to ask anyone else about the decision he was making. If he had told me in a more cordial way, I would have understood, but that wasn't the case. In my opinion, the title of manager was far too big for him.

    Overly priced eyeglasses, not worth a crap. My husband, daughter and myself went to the one in Terrell and spent almost $1,500 dollars on 6 pairs of glasses. Mine cost the most since my eye sight is very poor. They are poorly made, got scratch resistant but didn’t work. I see worse with these glasses than I have ever. I am 50 and been getting glasses for 40 plus years. I will go back to Walmart in Kaufman to get my glasses. Avoid this place horrible glasses and lenses.

    Customer service is terrible. I placed an online order. One of the frames was defective. I went to a local America's Best. They tried to fix, but determined they couldn't fix. They don't have access to online ordering, so referred me back to the website to get the return underway. That process was difficult and I was told I would need to follow up with them to confirm credit was given. They received the return on Feb 6th but stated the return department must conduct "an investigation" before issuing a credit. They refused to let me speak to someone in the return department.

    I called to inquire about the eye exam with two pairs of progressive eyeglasses. The ad price was approximately $200. Immediately the sales assistance said I would probably need bigger frames than that. And they would probably cost between $350-$500. Didn’t make sense that in the ad they would list the package deal for $200 for two pairs, knowing that you would need larger frames. “Click bait and switch”. It was recommended that I took a drive down before the exam to look at the frames available and get a more accurate price. When I arrived the receptionist after I explained why I was there told me to go look at frames. I replied no. I needed the sales associate assistance because it was explained to me over the phone that I would need larger frames than what was listed in the ad therefore, I would need the advice of the sales associate so there was no point in me looking at frames on my own.

    The sales associate was not busy with anyone. There was no one else in the store. When I mentioned that I wasn’t going to go look at frames without the help of the assistant the receptionist accused me of being rude and told me maybe I should come back another day with a better attitude. I believe she was very unprofessional, curt, unpleasant and rude. However, I’m thankful for that as I have found another company that greeted me cheerfully and with respect and I would rather do business with a company that treats you with respect and is willing to step up and help. Would recommend not to do business with this company.

    This company should be call America’s Worst! I tried 2 different stores locations and this is the WORST customer service I ever experienced. They never call back when contacts are ready, they treat customers like garbage. Just a weird company trying to use the work “America” to get Americans to come in and use their services.     From beginning to end all associates were not trained properly, didnt have full knowledge of what they were doing for job description. The problem accelerated when lobby sales associate made multiple mistakes overcharging me for full service, not even offering or upselling membership discounts, (the only reason I had made the appt.) I paid over $375.00 upfront, and still owed money back after discounts were finally given. ($336.00 posted for online picture)

    The General manager refused to get this figured out in a calming manner, she was rude from the start, treated me very disrespectfully after I had already paid $375.00 cash upfront. She refused to refund any differential credit from all these mistakes being made on all of their behalfs, (including herself,) besides attempting to charge my card a second time for another $256.00 for a second pair of glasses at full price when they should have been discounted as advertised, another 40% for designer glasses, plus my partial refund from the other mistakes that were made.

    In a nutshell I was about to be charged and pay over $700.00 for services rendered, two pairs of glasses with one box of contacts. I ordered online the exact way that should have been wrung up at the location and total was $336 and some change with membership discounts. With that being said my point was proven clearly, and I was correct with my refund. The General manager still refused to listen to me and get this figured out in a timely manner, and continued treat me like I was the idiot, made me feel like a piece garbage. She told her associate to get me my full refund, yelling at me while I was walking out of the store and acting like I was the problem.

    The problem started when her associate made multiple mistakes and overcharged me, which not my fault and yet I was treated unfairly? After I was still due a refund? Which she continued to argue loudly, and refused to comply with, attempting to still overcharge me a second time for a second pair of glasses at full price? Makes no sense. She was rude and doesn't have any business running a store with 0 customer service skills whatsoever! I wasted valuable time that I will never get back, besides paying cash money upfront and still walking out with nothing, no glasses, no contacts no membership, nothing. The only reason the appointment was made in the first place to get 3 year membership renewal and discounts on services and products.

    No apology was given for mistakes being made on their behalf, I was never refunded the money I was owed still being overcharged. Needless to say I left the store a very dissatisfied, unhappy, excellent paying customer who has done business with them for over 18 years or more. Thousands of dollars invested. I will never return to this location for any business. The GM should be fired after experiencing what I have experienced. She has horrible service skills with obvious training skills that are needed for her store sales associates which weren't present.

    Our family of three all wear glasses, and unfortunately our experiences here have been consistently disappointing. We first brought our son in for glasses due to a lazy eye. He only received one pair, and as new customers we weren’t told about any specials or deals. Later, my fiancé went in and ended up paying almost $500 for two pairs — one regular and one transition pair. The pricing felt heavily padded, and the transitions lenses were so slow to darken that he eventually had to switch to sunglasses. Even after the issue, there was no adjustment or accommodation on the cost.

    I recently went in for my own mandatory exam. I’ve worn glasses for years and was told I only had a slight astigmatism. I chose the advertised 2‑pair deal for $95, which was supposed to include the exam. Instead, I was charged over $200 and received two pairs that weren’t even equal in value. One pair had a prescription lens for my nearsightedness, and the second pair was just for nighttime wear — meaning only one lens was actually prescription.

    When I picked them up, the service was extremely rushed. They handed me the glasses in a basic plastic case with no wipes, no cleaner, no paperwork, and no explanation. Now that I’m wearing them, everything is blurry, and my right eye has double vision in both pairs. I’m concerned the prescription is wrong. I’m not even sure if the “one free visit” policy applies, so now I have to call and find out. Overall, while the location is convenient, the professionalism and transparency are lacking. Based on our family’s experience, I would not recommend trusting them with something as important as your eyesight.
