    I would normally not write a review, but this case is a bit different. I had purchased ticket for my husband and I, but he ended up getting pulled away by his job, last minute… So, I posted tickets for sale, and realized I had paid 3 times the price. I finally sold them, lost over half what I paid for them, and when I got a call from Vivid that they had them sold, I explained that I had already sold them, due to concert happening in less than 2 hours… The customer service lady replied, "Ok, no problem, I’ll communicate this on our side". ALL GOOD…

    Then, after months, I get a charge from vivid seats for 225.00 on my bank app. I call and they refuse to refund that money, even though the employee said, “ok, no problem”… I did pay 3 times regular cost of ticket, due to all fees with this company. So, not only did I lose money on resale, they also, after months, charged my card an additional 225.00, and said, I didn’t read all terms and conditions. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

    I accepted the ticket to be transferred and it say it was transferred though when I go into my app I can't access the ticket. It says "access tickets here" and when I click on it, it says ticket already accepted though there is no ticket on my app.

    Absolutely AWFUL company to work with. Didn’t provide tickets or a refund. My event changed to a few weeks later than the original date. My tickets were showing in the app and working before the original date. Vivid Seats didn’t even alert me that the day had changed. I found out from the venue who stated all tickets would still be valid.

    Fast forward to the date of the event… The app won’t let me access my tickets and throws an error. I call Vivid Seats and was unable to get in touch with anyone. They suggest using their live chat since it’s quicker. I press 1 to have a link texted to me and each time, the link opens the app and no chat opens. The only “help” are the FAQs which don’t apply to my situation. I am then forced to buy tickets at the venue which were HALF of what Vivid Seats charged me. When asked if these were discounted rates, the venue said no. Okay… so I’m being overcharged, not provided a service, AND can’t get in touch with the company? I call again the next day and was able to get in touch with someone. While I’m ON THE CALL making the claim/investigation, Vivid Seats then sends me an email that they were informed the date had changed. They said they were still looking into it and would need to wait 3-5 days.

    The next day, I get an automated email saying my investigation is closed and I’m not owed a refund. I call and use my reference number to get in touch about my investigation… the phone system REFUSES to let me get in touch with someone if it’s using that reference number and says I have to use the online chat link… which again, still doesn’t work. I then call and follow the prompts to sales and immediately get in touch with someone. Crazy how when it comes to them owing me money I can’t find them. But if I want to give them more, they’ll answer!

    Sales then transfers me to support who tells me that they can’t do anything because the date was changed and not canceled. My issue isn’t that the event was rescheduled. THE APP DIDN’T WORK AND ERRORED WHEN OPENING MY TICKETS. They wouldn’t have even known that the date was changed had I not called! I’m then told that I was sent an email where I can download the tickets… It’s nowhere to be found. Only emails that I can find say I need to use the app to view my tickets. I read that to the tech on the phone verbatim. The support tech then sends me an email (using the details from this email I still could not find this original email they were referencing) and the names on the tickets aren’t mine.

    I’m told it’s because they were resold. So when was I going to be told this? The app didn’t show this nor did the emails. I have never worked with a company that gatekeeps support and services like this company. They do not care about providing a service. They just want your money. Check other providers… It’ll be well worth it. Waiting to hear back from my bank in hopes they can reverse the charges.

    Vivid Seats is an absolute scam rip-off. Please use StubHub or Ticketmaster. I purchased tickets for an event and they don't even know the seats I have purchased even though I've been billed for them. I only know the row. There is no chance to resell. The app is terrible. You can do better than using this scam of a ticket site.

    I hereby raise serious concern about our unsuccessful process to attend a concert by the LA Philharmonic on the evening of Feb 17, 2026, despite purchasing and fully paying for two Orchestra section seats on Vivid Seat's online portal on November 18, 2025. Under My Tickets in their app our seats were listed as "Confirmed" since that date, with electronic ticket delivery promised for "at least three days before the event". However, I was contacted two days prior to the event and was told that the "delivery method had changed".

    During the next 48 hours I had four phone calls with Vivid Seats service staff; during each of them they tried to reach the ticket seller while I was placed on hold. Unfortunately, the seller did not respond to any voicemail, text or email messages, up to four hours prior to the event, leaving us no option but to cancel. We have been promised a full refund by the Vivid Seats service staff, which we are presently awaiting. I suspect that the seller had either decided to attend the concert or was holding onto the tickets until the last minute, to potentially secure a higher price (even though we paid many hundred $$ for our tickets three months earlier).

    The key issue is that the entire process is DECEPTIVE and revolves around the needs of the seller, not the buyer. We had been looking forward to this concert for three months, since the date that the tickets were fully paid for. With other online secondary ticket sale companies, ticket transfer occurs at the time of payment and clients are not left "hanging", wondering if their "confirmed" tickets will in fact be actualized. We therefore strongly encourage Vivid Seats to change their processes to meet industry standards, so that once a client pays for tickets in full the tickets are immediately transferred, rather than at a later date. Until this change occurs, we would strongly caution prospective clients to not place any credence that the tickets they purchase on Vivid Seats in good faith will, in fact, be delivered prior to the event.

    This company is probably the most difficult to resell tickets. Bought tickets for the Backstreet Boys concert and received them in a weird link form. Unable to transfer to Ticketmaster or Apple wallet. Contacted support to make sure tickets were real and are able to be resold if I didn’t want them. They confirmed they were real and sent me steps to resell.

    On the day I decided to resell they denied me and it took over almost 2 hours to ask for the reason why and they said the initial seller didn’t allow resale. I told them I spoke to an agent who confirmed I can. They finally agreed to let me sell and it was already time sensitive to sell the tickets. Then they proceed to say I can only sell their vivid… which limited me from selling on other 3rd party platforms.. I felt like the agents were not helpful and even stopped responding to me at one point. They also refuse to activate my posting unless I sent over the tickets. I found this out only cus I contacted the agent again. This was to my surprise because it is not written anywhere in their policy for posting tickets up for sale. That took up 2.5 hours of my time of just even selling giving the concert was in a couple hours.

    When they did post my listing after I sent over the tickets the listing was NOT written the way I wrote it. The price was not what I wrote. And I even got a crappy score on my listing (6.9) which I felt like it was a disadvantage for new sellers like me. They told me the score is a reflection of how many tickets one sold in the past. Obviously no one bought my tickets in the end. I felt like I was scammed out of my time to resell. Now when you ask for chat receipts they need to go thru supervisors to approve it. I definitely don’t recommend Vivid to any other buyers or sellers. They don’t provide fairness for new first time sellers.

    I have not received my tickets even though the emails and app say they have been delivered. The problem is that the app and online links take me to the Playhouse Square website where I need to enter a Playhouse Square ticket code in order to initiate electronic delivery of tickets. Vivid Seats has not provided me with that code, so, I cannot get to the Playhouse Square tickets. I raised my issue with Vivid Seats Chat support on 11/7/2025. It's now 2/13/2026 and I have not heard back from Vivid Seats support and I still do not have access to the tickets I bought on 11/4/2025. Generally Vivid seats has been a good source for me, but this experience has been frustrating.

    TERRIBLE gimmicky experience. Forced app usage. Lied, saying order was cancelled and high demand seats were unavailable. Did not show order online but in app. Customer service number forces app usage, no human. App has different customer sales number that acts as customer service too. That number found my cancelled tickets and reissued the order with $20.00 off. Then tried to sell parking pass. In sum, the experience feels/felt slimy and coerced. CANNOT talk to a person, have to text with a bot forever - FINALLY get a human (I guess) and they are useless. I had to download 2 apps just to find the god damn tickets. Little things like having a visual of where you're sitting is neat because they allow you to look at the venue. That's something that I like. It may be something small, but it helps.     ⭐☆☆☆☆ Misleading parking offer — ended up paying almost $48. I purchased Monster Truck Show tickets through Vivid Seats in early January for the January 31st event at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, RI. The tickets were expensive (about $46–$47 each), but I accepted that. The real problem came after the ticket purchase. About a week and a half later, Vivid Seats emailed me saying, “Save time and money by purchasing your parking in advance,” and labeled it “Amica Mutual Pavilion Parking.” Based on that wording, I reasonably believed this was official on-site venue parking. I paid over $21.

    When I arrived with my two-year-old child in 10-degree weather, the parking pass would not work at the actual Amica Mutual Pavilion lot. When staff asked me to pull up the barcode, the link repeatedly showed ERROR and would not load. I was then told the parking I bought was actually a separate off-site lot about a 15-minute walk from the venue. Walking that distance in freezing weather with a toddler was not realistic or safe. I had no choice but to park at the real venue lot and pay another $26. In total, I paid nearly $48 for parking, when I could have paid $26 if I had parked at the venue from the start.

    To make it worse, the off-site lot normally charges $10 for four hours, and the event was only about two hours long. That means Vivid Seats charged more than double for parking that wasn’t even at the venue. I opened a claim and was told the charge was “valid,” despite the parking being mislabeled and unusable at the venue. Labeling off-site parking as Amica Mutual Pavilion parking is misleading and caused unnecessary stress and wasted money. I strongly recommend avoiding parking purchases through Vivid Seats and buying directly from the venue instead.

    I called to book a ticket as I specifically wanted seats in the middle section of the orchestra. I got a very helpful agent who helped me select and buy a ticket. When I received it several days later it was in the side section. I contacted customer service as obviously the vendor misrepresented the tickets and Vividseats did not check it. However another customer service agent said that as long as the ticket is the correct row it is still a valid sale and that the first representative made a mistake. I requested to open a case as I don't want seats in the side section that were priced like the middle but I did not receive a confirmation of that, I don't know if anyone is looking at it.     On 10/31/25, I bought tickets for a birthday celebration to see Beethoven's Fidelio on 1-25-26 at the Capitol Theatre (SLC). As I selected specific seats (about 5th row, center, mezzanine level) my husband and son helped choose them. I thought I was on the Utah Opera website but possibly the seat choice landed me on Vivid Seats. In the moment, I was happy to have secured the tickets. I was then prompted (six separate emails) to set up an account, download the app, log in for my order # for ticket pickup instructions, informing me through yet another email of my tickets requiring "Special Delivery Services," and an authorized payment of $475.78 (via Paypal).

    Two days before the show an email indicated my tickets were ready in the app, which didn't work, so I downloaded the pdf. Our lousy seats for the show were five rows from the back of the theatre way off to the left. We all agreed, "these aren't the seats we bought." Nothing less than bait and switch, for which I undoubtedly overpaid.

    This company was extremely frustrating to deal with. I was trying to purchase tickets as a birthday gift for this Saturday. This is a once in a lifetime event that falls on someone’s 40th birthday weekend, so timing was very important. I first attempted to purchase through their website and kept getting an error message saying the option was unavailable and to check my billing information. My billing details were correct and I was using a legitimate bank card. I tried different browsers and even used two separate cards with no success.

    After that, I called customer support. The representative attempted to process my payment twice. Each time, I received an order cancellation email first, followed by an order confirmation email saying my tickets were secured. This happened two separate times, which was extremely confusing and stressful. After the first attempt, the rep told me the original section I selected had already sold out. She then searched for comparable seats and matched the price as closely as possible, which I appreciated. However, when she tried again, the same thing happened. Another cancellation followed by another confirmation. At that point, she placed me on hold to speak with her supervisor. When she returned, she told me I should call my bank, even though the issue clearly seemed to be on their end given the repeated contradictory confirmations.

    To make matters worse, they told me to call back tomorrow, completely dismissing the urgency of the situation and why I was politely but firmly trying to secure these tickets for a milestone birthday weekend. Anyone reading this, whether future customers or supervisors, needs to understand where I’m coming from. This was not a casual purchase. This was an important gift tied to a special moment. Now their office is closed and they cannot be reached by phone, leaving me with no solution. Overall, this was a terrible experience. The system was unreliable, communication was confusing, and customer service failed to provide real help. I would not recommend using this company.

    I have twice tried to purchase tickets for comedy shows in Boston. Both times, the tickets sold out from the venue in under a minute. HOWEVER- they claim to be 'available' on Vivid Seats for triple or more the venue price. I am deeply saddened that this is the practice we accept and that people are supporting third-party resellers to bulk purchase blocks. The venue claims it has no knowledge of who/what purchases tickets once they go live, and I am certain neither the venue nor the artists benefit from these fraudulent sales practices. Seeing that I could/would spend $618 per ticket [if purchased through VIvid Seats] to see a show that would actually cost $70 per ticket makes my soul weep (and probably vomit a little, too).

The tickets never came despite getting an email saying they were on the way. When we called to ask, they kept saying that we will get them soon. This was a lie. They sold us “ghost tickets” - aka they never existed. THREE customer service representatives lied to us. No one admitted the truth until 2 HOURS before the show. Then all of the showtimes were sold out, and we couldn’t even see the show. It was a complete disaster - the lack of professionalism and accountability was amazing. The only thing they helped us with is a refund… after spending 15 hours figuring out what happened. It ruined our day.

    On December 19, 2025, I purchased tickets through the Vivid Seats website for the Missouri Botanical Garden “Garden Glow” event (Order #**). The total charge was $126.12. The Vivid Seats website presented itself in a way that created the impression it was the official box office or primary ticket seller. There was no clear or conspicuous disclosure at the point of sale that Vivid Seats is a secondary resale marketplace. After completing the purchase, I discovered that identical tickets purchased directly from the venue were $24 each, while Vivid Seats charged approximately $64 per ticket for general admission.

    After purchase, I was also required to download the Vivid Seats mobile app to access the tickets. I immediately contacted customer service upon realizing the nature of the transaction and requested a refund. The refund was denied, with the company stating the sale was final and refusing to address the misleading presentation of the website or the pricing disparity.

    In addition to the deceptive sales practices, Vivid Seats’ privacy practices raise concerns. When attempting to exercise opt-out rights related to the sale or sharing of personal data, the opt-out mechanism does not list my state of residence (Missouri) at all, despite the company operating nationwide and collecting personal data from Missouri consumers. I have filed complaints with the Missouri Attorney General, the Illinois Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Better Business Bureau regarding these issues. This experience reflects misleading online sales practices, refusal to provide refunds when material information was unclear, and inadequate privacy compliance.
