TICKETMASTER IS A RIP OFF!!! Call the venue first. Bought tickets and supposedly were the last two tickets. After getting to the concert, found there were plenty of seats left. We were charged 3 times the price, seats were a row off from the map they showed (putting us to where our backs were to the stage) and then the Ticketmaster app kept closing on the day of the show. Was a pain in the butt to access our tickets. Talked to the people next to us just to find the similar situation. They paid four times the price for their tickets. We came to the conclusion that Ticketmaster makes you think that you purchased the last tickets so as to charge you a higher price. Making you believe that you were lucky to get them. Don't know how they get away with this but they obviously do. AVOID THEM IF POSSIBLE!!!

But they won't refund the money. I can get credit for future tickets (yeah right). But, I haven't bought other tickets in more than 10 years. So basically they are stealing my money. They kept my money, interest free, for 19 months and now they won't refund it.

My first experience was last year when getting tickets for the MOTS Tour BTS was going to be having and I managed to get floor seats an hour into sales luckily. For obvious reasons the tour was canceled altogether this year however, they decided to do 4 shows in LA for the Permissions to Dance Stage Concerts. This past week has been a nightmare fueled by Ticketmaster and their lack of care for actual fans wanting these tickets especially after keep hold of tickets from MOTS for over a year.

I was supposed to have this “early access” to tickets for being a past purchaser and to have priority in getting tickets for these new concert dates. On Wednesday evening I was attempting to get into the waiting room for presale and it would not allow me for at least 10 minutes because it said it was a verified sale. (I got an email and a code for this sale.) I finally got in after refreshing tons of time and managed to get in 18 minutes before sales began. Moving along into my ticketing experience I could NOT purchase any tickets on this presale day without getting an “error 007 code” and this ultimately ruined my chances.

Reasons why you should downvote Ticketmaster
    1. They did not care about the fans of this event, nor did they bother to let us know about a secret presale for “seasonal ticket holders of Sofi stadium” where they released VIP/Floor tickets. (They said they did not have VIP available for verified fan presale.)
    2. They did not favor PAST TICKET PURCHASERS FOR MOTS TOUR as they said they would/implied. They gave us limited tickets while on Thursday they released half the stadium with VIP/Floor and other sections. (They said there were no VIP packages for Wednesday.)
    3. Tons of kicking from queues and checkouts along with error codes and so forth. You name it.

    4. They claim they were sold out after 10/08 verified presale however, opened waiting rooms and had random tickets magically appear and say “reserved seating” on the side tab. Big scams.

There's probably more I could address here but I think that’s all for now. (:

A venue change was made requiring a health check/vac card proof. This was not the how the original venue was set up (thus creating a change in venue). We do not believe in the new ** regime nor would we have purchased these tickets if it had originally been posted as such. As my original request for a refund was declined stating that there was no cancelation or venue change, we will also be foregoing any future concerts using Ticketmaster as well as passing it on to all our fellow concert goers that this happened to us and to go elsewhere for their concert needs.

Then when I went to post our tickets to sell, they not only want to take additional fees out of the ticket cost (which should have already been charged when they were originally purchased) but they want your checking info for the deposit if your tickets sell as well as my card information in case the venue gets canceled or rescheduled to refund the buyer. This seems very shifty to me. So my family will be eating the cost. You cannot get ahold of Ticketmaster except for email. Their phone number tells you to email them, then there is also no way via their site to leave a review. So pass it on, they are finding ways to not refund when "small" details change for venues. After purchase, tickets arrive via text and suddenly, there is a notice that we spent $2100 for an OBSTRUCTED VIEW! WTF? Are you kidding me??? Talk about bait & switch! Talk about fraud & misrepresentation!!

I immediately started calling TicketMaster &, in a nutshell, here’s what they said was the ONLY solution: The TM agents want me to go to the Apple Store and buy a $2100 gift card; call them back; and the agents can the exchange our tickets using the Apple card! WTF? Is this a joke? Since the tickets are already paid for—and, admittedly, they can exchange the tickets, then why must I go to the Apple store and buy a $2100 gift card?

This morning, another TM agent called me to ask if I got the Apple gift card. I said, no, I can’t do the Apple gift card until they refund my money! Agent replies: it will take 7-10 days to get a refund! WTF??? Ticketmaster has intentionally defrauded me & mine. This is beyond outrageous! $2100 for 4 obstructed view seats without warning?? As I stated, I went to a Ticketmaster site to purchase my tickets. Then after the event was cancelled I receive an email from a third party company called Tickets on Sale. Receiving an email from your company stating that I am being giving a credit for a cancelled event and not given the option to receive a refund is unacceptable. I have no interest in a credit from Ticket on Sale (third party contractor).

Ticket Master purchase was made on July 15th, 2021. Event was cancelled on July 16th, 2021. The timing of the cancellation and your company's response that no refunds would be issued was not conducted in good faith. TicketMaster is allowing these 3rd party resellers to present themselves as Ticketmaster; and then Ticketmaster takes the stance that they are not involved. This is also a poor reflection of the Ticketmaster company and how they conduct business.

One star is too much for this experience. I purchased tickets for the Eagles in June as soon as they went on sale and spent 299 per ticket. We were told by Ticketmaster via email two weeks ago masks would be required. Then, on Friday, not 10 days before the event, I received an email stating that full vaccinations were required at least 14 days before the event. My son and daughter are not fully vaccinated because it's not mandatory, and now it's too late for them to get fully vaccinated. They will have to take off work to get a Covid-19 test the day before the concert because I've been told all sales are final. We either don't go and lose a 1000 dollars, or jump through hoops at the last minute. How is it right to do this right before an event, with no time to sell tickets or even get a vaccine?!

I am no longer looking forward to the concert where I will have to sit fully vaccinated for three hours with a mask on my face. I would never have purchased tickets under these conditions. In addition, I went on the website for the concert venue, Capital Center, yesterday (8/20) and discovered there are even more requirements such as having a Clear App loaded on your phone that Ticketmaster failed to divulge in any email. Basically, Ticketmaster gets your money and they don't care about anything else. Try to reach a human by phone: impossible. In fact, I was hung up on while on hold. Try to reach a human by email: impossible.

I wish I had never purchased these tickets. It's shameful the way fans have been treated by those connected with this concert, and I include the band as well. It's been basically a bait and switch. Once a ticket has been purchased you enter into a contract, and Ticketmaster has reneged on the contract by changing the conditions of that contract but forcing me to remain within it.

So many times you will take a loss on the ticket. But Ticketmaster doesn’t take a loss. They charge the buyer a massive fee. These game 5 tickets started selling below face value. Not to mention when I tried to buy floor seats at 10 am when. The Queue opened there were no tickets available. But magically the day before the game standard tickets were back on sale for less than the original face value.

Ticketmaster is running a scam and professional sports teams are allowing it. Give me my paper ticket. Stop controlling my cash and price gouging the consumer. Then if you are lucky to sell the ticket and not take a massive list. Ticketmaster will take their time paying you back. I waited over a month at one point. Last but not least you CAN’T call Ticketmaster. It’s all online and if you don’t like the answer you get they will just disconnect the chat. It’s a monopoly, we need a class action suit.

After two weeks I contacted again via chat and was told I would have to resale. No refund will be given. Tickmaster will keep the transaction fee it charged me and will charge me for resale, if sold that customer will pay for ticket transaction as well. Not fair at all. No accountability for its website malfunction. Looks like I'm not the only it's happened to. I checked account which means their system continued to charge first attempt after sending error message. Last Friday I was attempting to purchase tickets to a Saturday soccer game and after entering my cc info I received an error message stating they were unable to process my card and to try again. I did so and I received the same error message two more times. On the fourth attempt, the payment went through and I received an email confirming the purchase. On Saturday I received a message from my bank. The other three attempts I had made and received error messages on had also gone through. I was charged for eight tickets. Interestingly, I never received email confirmations for the other three "purchases" only for the one that went through legitimately. I attempted to email and call but was unable to get through.

On Tuesday I finally reached a rep and was told I could not be refunded because the event was over. I explained that the error message said my transaction did not go through, which is why I continued to attempt to purchase tickets. So, instead of dealing with the issue, that their website has a glitch, or that they are straight up scamming, they blame me for not getting in touch soon enough. I was told they would call me back on Friday. I doubt that they will offer to refund my money. Regardless, I will never use Ticketmaster again. To be continued...

I purchased tickets in October of 2019 for a concert in March 2020. At the time of purchase, their policy was to offer refunds for rescheduled or canceled shows. When March 2020 arrived, covid was in full effect and the concert was rescheduled for Nov 2020. I called for a refund and was told by the agent it was approved but can take up to 30 days. After the 30 days had past, still no refund. The first agent told me the show had not been canceled and it was my own fault I missed it. I asked for a supervisor who informed me the show had indeed been rescheduled, but she went on to essentially tell me that I was an idiot for thinking I could get a refund (even after the original agent a month earlier told me that) because their policy was only to refund cancelled events.

After the supervisor berated me and hung up, I looked up the policy and found in March 2020 it had been amended; and all changes were retroactive to the time I purchased the tickets! They can't be trusted at all if they can retroactively alter the contract you agree to at the time of purchase!! Well, Nov 2020 came and the event was again rescheduled for March 2021.

It's been almost a year, the concert still postponed and TicketMaster refuse to refund my money. They said the refund window is over but there was never a window to request refund. I tried to get a refund by April 2020 (concert was supposed to be in June 2020) because I already knew with Covid everything was closed and they refuse to refund me. It's a shame.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought tickets for an event that was supposed to be held on June. It is October and Ticketmaster refuses to refund the ticket. They are not responding phone calls, chat is unavailable and when you try to email them there is no proper reply. I understand there is a pandemic going on but it is over four month from the day the event was supposed to be held they should give customers the choice for a refund.

I purchased ticket for concert that got canceled due to pandemic. Was told I would get refund on used credit card in 30 days. 60 days later no refund. Emailed to ask what’s up and received email stating I would see refund on next credit card billing. Two credit card billings later, still no refund. No one to talk to. Website says you need to go into your account and click contact in bottom right-hand corner. There is no contact there to click. So I emailed fan base and they just tell me I have to go into my account and click on contact in bottom right-hand corner. I told them there is nothing there or anywhere on my account. They just repeated themselves. With no contact there is no means to email, chat, or call. Bottom line, I got ripped off $77.58. Beware! This pandemic gives them free reins to rip people off with nowhere to go!

Purchased ticket to event My Songs - Sting at Caesars Palace on event for Aug 26, 2020. When checking the status on the ticket, I found that it was rescheduled for May 12, 2021. After contacting them, they said I miss the windows for the refund. They said they sent out an email. I have verified with my mail exchange and search my email account and not email was received. Ticketmaster Fan Support could not resend or verified when the email was sent. Just that it showed in their system that it was sent. On the second call to them, trying to get this resolved or possible change dates, since I was unable to attend the rescheduled date.

Reading this from their website: If an event is rescheduled, your tickets are still valid for the new date and no further action is required. If you can’t make the new date, in many cases event organizers will provide you the option to request a refund, or they may be offering you the option to choose a refund or a credit. We will send you a notification email as soon as the event organizer updates the status of the event. The email will also specify the timeframe the event organizer is making refund and/or credit options available; either 30 days from when you received your notification email or up until two weeks prior to the rescheduled date. Ticketmaster Fan Support agent informed me they don't do refunds. We purchased the ticket insurance, but was told the only way I could use that is if we were sick or dead. I would have to contact the insurance provider for this.

I asked about move the date to another date I could attend. The agent informed me that they would need approval for that and they would send me an email if approved and would call me to reschedule seating assignment. She also said they would waive the reschedule fee since of all the trouble I was having. Got the email approving the exchange that evening. I contact them the next day to do the exchange. The Ticketmaster Fan Support Agent said it was denied. I informed the new I was speaking of the entire issue I was having and that I received the approved email from them. The agent placed me on hold and came back and informed me it was approved and the agent I spoke to yesterday should of handled this exchange since no approval was needed. He said they would be a exchange fee and the mobile ticket app would not work with this ticket so I would have to pick them up at the box office.

To do this exchange for an addition 20.00 for both ticket and 12.00 to pick up the ticket at the box office event. Ticket Master organization in a whole is untrustworthy and doesn't care about customer service at all. They post their FAQ on their website, but don't follow them. This is false advertisement and unjust business practices. I would recommend to use any other ticketing service that TicketMaster. They are only masters of deception and untruthfulness.

Subsequently the concert was cancelled due to Covid-19 and rescheduled for August 2021. I asked for a refund. This was refused and I was told I would have to wait 15 months until after the new date, August 2021 for my refund. Ticketmaster and Promotor Andre Rieu also know that there will a lot less people that will actually be able to attend if the new 2/27/2021 date ever actually happen and in the meantime they are keeping everybody's money for events like this that may or may not happen. It's as much Andre Rieu choice to refund or not refund as it is Ticketmaster's. If he is so good - why is he afraid to refund and resell the tickets again closer to the POSTPONED Feb 2021 date? WARNING DON'T PURCHASE ANY TICKETS FROM TICKETMASTER.

Spent £100 on tickets for an event on 26 June 2020, which was just canceled due to the pandemic and rescheduled to FEBRUARY 2021. We can no longer attend on the new date and due to their policy we can not get a refund for the tickets, but instead this scammy company says to sell them on a marketplace so they don't lose a dime. That would be fine if the rules didn't state that you get your money AFTER THE SHOW, which in our case is now in Feb. What if the tickets don't sell? Even if they do sell we won't get the money for ELEVEN MONTHS. Absolute rubbish business model especially dealing with events effected due to the pandemic; we'll never give them a cent again and will be telling everyone we know to do the same.

We are not frequent event-goers. So, when we decided to take the family to the 2020 NCAA basketball tournament, we purchased our tickets through Ticketmaster because the website was relatively easy to use and Ticketmaster is a well known vendor. As the event was cancelled (COVID), we understood that refunds may or may not happen (it's a tough time for everyone), but were hopeful as we'd spent $900.

As it turns out, even though we have a receipt and Order # from Ticketmaster, we were actually purchasing through a reseller operating on the Ticketmaster platform. Ticketmaster was very quick to state that the reseller would be refunded, not us, and that UNFORTUNATELY they could not provide the reseller's contact information to us. That's just incredibly poor business operation. We will never use Ticketmaster again and strongly caution others to think twice as well.

Ticketmaster is withholding close to $500 in funds of ours that we are owed back. We learned on the phone that they are withholding payments from hundreds of customers that are in the same position. We had purchased Pearl Jam tickets for the show at Quebec City Videotron Center when they were first released. A few weeks later, due to work reasons, we cancelled our trip to Quebec which meant that we would be unable to attend the concert so we posted the tickets for resale via my Ticketmaster account in February of 2020. Our tickets were officially sold on March 3, 2020 as my husband received an email to confirm this saying our funds would be in our bank account within 5-7 days. Our resale of the tickets had nothing to do with coronavirus as the outbreak was not happening in Canada yet, nor was the Pearl Jam tour postponed when the tickets were posted for resale in February or resold on March 3.

3 weeks later, we still have not received our refund so we called to inquire why we haven't received the refund. We spoke with 4 people (including 2 supervisors) who told us that our refund is on hold despite the fact that our tickets are sold because the tour has since been postponed. As mentioned, we sold the tickets before any of this was happening. We also purchased insurance for our tickets at the time of purchase.

He informed us that many people are having their funds withheld. We understand that people still holding tickets wouldn't be refunded in case it will be postponed. However, we posted and sold our tickets before any of this, therefore, Ticketmaster has collected and is holding onto funds from two parties for the same set of tickets. We don't own tickets, nor do we have our money back. It could be weeks or months before coronavirus gets settled and we would like to have our $500 now. Ticketmaster is holding double funds for likely thousands of transactions. They are taking advantage of consumers during this difficult time and it's disgusting.

I recently purchased tickets for the 2020 Calgary Stampede which I'd planned to visit during an RV trip across the U.S. and Canada. But I am 79 years old (a high-risk category for the coronavirus) and have been advised not to travel by the U.S. Government. Further, the U.S.-Canadian border is presently closed to tourists. Accordingly, and sadly, I have cancelled my planned trip. Ticketmaster.ca however refuses to cancel my ticket reservations and refund my payment. They try to lay the blame on the Stampede organizers. This is unfair and inappropriate. We are dealing with an act of God. Standard policies about the event organizer don't fit this situation. It calls for forward-thinking and special exceptions in view of the current pandemic.

Why not simply CANCEL shows and REFUND back to fans during a world crisis? Those promoters/organizers that were thoughtful enough to simply CANCEL/REFUND back money are TRULY helping their fans right now!!!! SIMPLY REFUNDING or give fans FREELY the option is most needed... Nothing is more important!... FANS/and myself are ALL BEING AFFECTED by the Covid 19.... And even being laid-off from their jobs!!!

We had a trip planned to multiple cities in early April, with multiple shows, hotels and flights. We were able to cancel all of them and receive refunds. Every one is then made adjustments during covid to be compassionate, even when it wasn’t their normal policy to do so. Everyone, except Ticketmaster. In a time where people have uncertainty and fear of being laid off or being able to pay their bills, ticketmaster is sticking to their policies and loopholes to not give refunds. They’re deciding to show an event as postponed without a future date. Brutal.

    Sincerely,

Terrible company to deal with. Call to get a refund for tickets for a upcoming event in 2 weeks in Vegas. They would not refund the tickets even with purchasing the additional insurance. Because the event has neither been canceled or postponed date provided. No Refund would be issued even with the Covid-19 shutting down the venue, airlines and hotels.

We purchased tickets to the Alabama Concert for October 2019 in January 2019. The event was first postponed because the lead singer was sick. Then on Feb 1st 2020 it was cancelled. I received an email from Ticketmaster on Feb 1st 2020 saying they had refunded our money and it would post within 7-10 business days. It is March 13th 2020. I talked with my credit card company yesterday and it has not been refunded. I can't get ahold of anyone by email. Ticketmaster is not responding to emails because of the coronavirus. I had emailed them before because I could not remember which card I used and asked for the last 4 numbers. They wrote me back, said they could not tell me and it HAD been refunded.

Yesterday, after I received the email saying that they could not respond by email, I tried calling 5 times and got a fast busy signal. I tried chat and it was down. Today, I was able to chat with someone under our Lauran Daigle Tickets and Yolanda could not or would not help me, but she said that she did not see any refunds in my file. So the first person lied to me. Or Yolanda did. Who knows. I am owed over $130 and I cannot get help. I was told I would have to call. The busy signal is normal today, but I cannot get through and I am beyond frustrated. They refund, Supposedly, when a concert is cancelled. I have an email saying they were refunding. Now Lauran Daigle has been cancelled. I will never purchase through Ticketmaster again!

My elderly mom loves Cher so I surprised her with tickets. I called Ticketmaster and explained that I needed the seats in an area that wouldn’t be difficult for mom to get to/from the ladies room if needed. Ticketmaster customer service rep was very helpful in finding me two accommodating seats. The rep actually called me back to offer an even better location (someone resold their tickets). Would most definitely recommend Ticketmaster as their customer service is fantastic!

I've been using Ticketmaster for years. I like how now they offer various ways to learn about upcoming shows. When you purchase tickets you can select the best available and see if there are tickets. I also like how they have the venue map so you can see which seats are still unsold. You can also resell your ticket if you are unable to attend. This may vary from venue to venue. Overall like the clear breakdown of pricing and the ability to print my tickets at home or use the app when at the show or event.
