StubHub sold me tickets on the glass for the October 9th Vancouver Canucks vs. Calgary Flames game. When I tried to enter the arena, I was told the tickets were fraudulent. I then spent 45 minutes trying to resolve the issue with StubHub and missed the entire first period. They offered me replacement tickets (at the same price) that were HORRIBLE and in row 20, not in row 1 on the glass. When I contacted them the next day, they absolutely refused to offer me a partial refund. Do not use this ticket side. They list fraudulent tickets and their customer service is HORRIBLE.

I bought $500 tickets. I never got my tickets. I got an email for them that it had been cancelled so I made other arrangements. When I finally called to ask my refund was they said oh it was just temporary cancelled and that we should receive my tickets.! 2 days later & The event is in 20 hours and I have to leave several hours early so I still have no tickets and they would do nothing about it and said, "Don’t worry, just go to the event. You’ll get your ticket at some point. If you don’t, then you get a refund." It is completely lame. Only miscommunication where I was able to buy more tickets to cover the cancellation but now I’ve got double tickets from this mess so I would recommend Highly never to use this company ever again. THEY DO NOT CARE NOR HELP ME OUT!!!

Updated on 11/10/2025: Worst company I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. I spent about $1000 for tickets to see Billy Joel. 2 days later his concert is postponed for 14 months. Then his concert is canceled. StubHub still has not refunded my money or issued a credit for the tickets. It has been almost 6 months. Despite contacting them via phone, chat and email over and over again, all they will say is they will escalate the matter and to wait 30-90 days. I will never buy tickets from StubHub again. They are a bunch of thieves.
Original Review: Do not purchase tickets through StubHub when there are other options. I purchased Billy Joel tickets for our daughter's 18th birthday. I bought the tickets on 3/8/25. On 3/12/25, I received an email that the concert was postponed until 7/3/26, YES, YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY - MORE THAN A YEAR LATER, due to Billy Joel's illness widely reported in the news. We didn't want to wait a year and already had plans for the 4th of July weekend so I filed a dispute with PayPal. When I found out there were no refunds at StubHub unless a concert was canceled, I did not go any further with my dispute. PayPal closed my dispute on April 1st. On 5/23/25, StubHub advised that the concert had been canceled and they would be issuing refunds. I have been trying to get my refund for 4.5 months now. I've emailed proof that the chargeback was released on multiple occasions. I've sent emails on numerous occasions.
I've chatted online with customer service. I've called customer service. My most recent call to them was today, 10/9/25. After explaining the situation and being put on hold numerous times, I received an email that my refund was in my StubHub wallet. When you go to the wallet, a code is required. The representative did not have a code, could not get a code and told me it would take up to 90 days for a resolution. These people have had around $1000 of my money for 7 months. How many more "90 days" do I have to wait? This is the most ridiculous crap I think I have ever encountered. They won't let you speak to someone higher up. I think after all this time, I need my total refund, plus additional money based on how long it has taken and I still do not have my money. Take your business somewhere else. Their fees are exorbitant and their refunds appear to be non-existent.

Got caught up in a classic bait and switch from a ticket seller on this platform. I ordered one set of tickets, but received a different set that weren't the same quality. My problem is that StubHub sided with the seller based on a cryptic set of "rules" governing what is a reasonable substitution. The rules take nothing into consideration about the physical character venue or the objectives of the ticket buyer, only the proximity of the seats to the stage. After much not-very-customer-service-oriented discussion with a unempowered StubHub agent, I was offered (and accepted) a refund, only to have the offer rescinded a day later due to what StubHub described as a breach of "protocol" by the customer service agent. SInce all this happened within 24 hours of the event, I was unable to react to StubHub's change of decision and missed the event. So distressing. Won't buy from them again.

My buddy and I bought tickets from StubHub for a concert in Cleveland that were already nearly double face value plus obnoxious fees, but they guaranteed them. Both of us took off work. Went out to eat then once we got to the show they never sent us the tickets and said they didn't have any other to send us but only offered us tickets that we had to pay over four times face value. They are a scam! Don't trust them!

I purchased tickets for a sold out event months in advance for $150. A few days before the event, the venue sent me an email stating I could get additional tickets at face value. I did not do this because of StubHub's "guarantee." The day of the event, I go to the venue and the seller does not delivery the tickets on time. Stub Hub tells me that I can get replacement tickets. I then click that option and I am told that I am not able to get that option and have to get refunded. I get refunded and then go on stub hub and buy tickets for $350. I had to pay an extra $200 for the exact same tickets. They were both GA standing tickets. Stub Hub refuses to refund me and actually made a larger commission because I purchased the more expensive tickets. I will never use Stub Hub again.

Worst company ever. Booked parking for my venue from their app. They sent me tickets for another parking lot, which is 15 min walking distance. I talked to customer service and explained the situation. I told them that we have people with us who cannot walk that distance. They told me I have to wait until the tickets are issued to even look at the problem. Their email says the tickets will be issued 1 hour before the venue. I told them I’ll dispute on my credit card, and they told me they would lock my account if I disputed the charge. Shadiest company ever. Terrible customer service. StubHub allows fraudulent sellers to see on its platform. I bought a parking pass for a Cal Berkeley football game. The pass arrived two hours before game and was located 6-7 miles from stadium. The area was in a terrible, unsafe location in Oakland. CA, STUBHUB DID NOTHING TO REFUND THE PARKING PASS. I had to pay for street parking next to stadium. They advertised close parking lot, it was nothing but that. See photo, this address is nowhere near the Cal Stadium.

⚠️ Beware if you are reselling tickets on StubHub! I purchased a concert ticket in April 2025 for a show scheduled in September 2025. Later, I decided to relist the ticket in April on the same day through StubHub. When I called customer service, the representative told me I’d have to wait until after the event to see if my ticket sold. When I checked the stadium’s seating chart, my original seat appeared shaded in gray, which usually indicates it’s been sold. I followed up with StubHub in late September and was told I’d receive a refund within 5–7 business days.
Today, after calling again, I was informed that I would not be getting a refund at all because StubHub claims my ticket was never sold. I received no email or letter notification about this. This experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. They pocket my money.... They did not offer a partial credit or anything. Be cautious when using StubHub to resell your tickets — make sure to track all details and verify sales directly with the venue if possible.

StubHub failed to deliver a valid ticket and then provided contradictory and misleading information, violating its FanProtect® Guarantee and engaging in deceptive trade practices that deprived me of both the product and the opportunity to secure alternatives. I contacted StubHub repeatedly on game day and was told the seller defaulted and that FanProtect® had been triggered. Despite this acknowledgment, StubHub stalled until after kickoff.
Chronology:
Sept 21, 2025: Purchased ticket for $540.50 via StubHub under the FanProtect® Guarantee.Sept 28, 2025 (9:56 AM PST): Contacted StubHub after no ticket delivery. Call records confirm escalation.
12:10 PM: StubHub emailed that the seller could not deliver, and FanProtect® was triggered.
12:19–12:24 PM: StubHub sent “ticket ready” and Ticketmaster sent “View Your Tickets” emails, but no ticket appeared in my account.
12:56 PM: Re-contacted StubHub by chat and phone; still no replacement provided.
1:25 PM: Game began; no access, no refund, no replacement.
Post-event: StubHub continued sending “ticket ready” emails after the event had already started. Oct 7, 2025: Follow-up chat shows StubHub now falsely asserting that I “accepted” the ticket — directly contradicting prior written acknowledgments that the seller defaulted.
Consequences: This conduct deprived me of the benefit of the bargain, caused direct financial loss, and rendered the FanProtect® Guarantee meaningless. The event was part of a once-in-a-lifetime 50th birthday trip with 15 friends — all of whom attended while I was left outside the stadium. Travel and lodging costs exceeded $3,300. StubHub’s contradictory responses, refusal to escalate, and false claim that I “accepted” tickets are evidence of systemic misrepresentation and bad-faith business practice.
Pattern: My experience matches thousands of BBB complaints describing the same sequence: FanProtect® invoked shortly before or after events begin, contradictory “ticket ready” messages, and prolonged internal reviews that deny timely refund or remedy. This suggests a deliberate delay strategy that misleads consumers and frustrates recourse.
Legal and regulatory concerns: StubHub’s actions may constitute: Deceptive trade practices under Section 5 of the FTC Act (15 U.S.C. §45); Breach of its own FanProtect® Guarantee, a consumer-facing contractual obligation; False advertising and unfair delay practices causing monetary and consequential harm.
Requested FTC action:
Investigate StubHub, Inc. for deceptive or unfair business practices in the administration of its FanProtect® Guarantee.Require restitution for the $540.50 purchase price and consequential losses exceeding $3,300 (airfare, hotel, transport).
Obtain injunctive relief mandating timely notice of seller default and prohibiting contradictory “ticket ready” messages after events begin.
Require disclosure of internal policies that delay replacement or refund until within one hour of event start time.
Attachments (evidence):
Exhibit 1: Order confirmation & FanProtect® terms.Exhibit 2: StubHub “seller default” and “ticket ready” emails (Sept 28).
Exhibit 3: Ticketmaster “View Your Tickets” email (no ticket visible).
Exhibit 4: Phone log and survey timestamp (9:56 AM call).
Exhibit 5–9: StubHub chat transcripts (game day and follow-up).
Exhibit 10: Oct 8, 2025 chat transcript — StubHub contradicts prior admissions (“seller defaulted” vs. “tickets accepted”).Exhibit 11: BBB complaint filed Sept 29, 2025 (pending).
Exhibit 12: Proof of travel and lodging expenses.
Conclusion:StubHub’s conduct demonstrates an institutionalized pattern of deception and delay. The FanProtect® Guarantee is being used as a marketing tool rather than an enforceable promise. Consumers are systematically deprived of remedies until after events occur, resulting in financial loss and loss of use. This matter warrants immediate FTC investigation and potential enforcement action.

I bought tickets to a concert 4 months beforehand and realized that I had accidentally bought wheelchair row tickets in my rush to get them. There was no confirmation or warning that these were not regular seats before checkout. StubHub would not accept any returns or exchanges, and my only recourse was to try and resell the tickets. They sold a few weeks later, and there was a note that my tickets would be delivered to me so I could transfer to the buyer at 4:00 the day of the concert. But I was fined because I didn't send the tickets to the buyer before 3:00 the day of the concert. Makes no sense. Customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. The AI chatbot is useless, and it's very difficult to talk to an actual person. I'll just use Ticketmaster from now on, at least they accept returns within 24 hours.

StubHub is very close to being qualified as a scam. My story goes like this. I bought a ticket last Sunday (only because I didn’t know how bad the customer service could be and how bad everything is there). The price was very comparable to Ticketmaster’s, and the seats were better. However, what first surprised me was that I didn’t get the tickets right away. I got an email saying they might arrive up to two hours before the concert, which was scheduled to happen in eight days.
The next morning, I did get a ticket, and surprisingly, it was from Ticketmaster, but it was waaay worse than what I had actually bought. So I immediately contacted their customer service, went through the robot system, and finally reached a real person. I explained the problem, and they said, “Yeah, okay, it’s a human mistake, we’ll fix it. Don’t worry, you’ll get your tickets in a few days.”
Three days passed, and nothing happened. I contacted them again. They weren’t even aware that I had already reached out, so I had to explain it all again. They said they would elevate my case. I actually just asked for a refund, and they said, “We don’t know if it’s going to happen; it might, but if you find those tickets, we will not give you a refund.” The next day, they changed the ticket again. It was slightly better than the previous option, but still not what I had bought. And that was it. The way they spoke and handled everything was terrible. I actually thought it was a scam, 100%. But after doing more research, I found out they’re not exactly a scam, just very, very close. AVOID!!!

Our ticketed event was canceled, so Stubhub promised tickets for the rescheduled event. The tickets arrived for the wrong date. We called Stubhub 4 times before the show in an attempt to get the tickets reissued. Each time we were promised that we needed to show up on the correct date and that we would have no problem getting in. Of course, this was not true. It is clear that Stubhub representatives have been coached to lie to customers in the hopes that things will work out. The customer service representatives were less than useless. If they had just told us that we couldn’t get in and refunded our tickets, we would have saved the hours we spent on the phone and the time we spent driving to and from the event.

I go to the tickemaster website and create an account; I get a message saying no tickets; I go back to stubhub and notice I need to do something else to claim my ticket - which requires agreeing to long legal agreements in two different tabs (for each ticket); I do that and go back to ticketmaster app; I get some code in an email and then use that; and then ticket master says I have to access my tickets via the Golden State Warriors app !!!; I download the app and create an account....and I finally can get my tickets. I'll likely NEVER buy tickets through StubHub again! They deserve 0 stars but that isn't an option. After purchasing tickets to a basketball game, I never received the tickets; just a confirmation email. So I text the online chat. They tell me that me tickets could not be delivered due to some issue with AXS and they sent me a link to my email. The link had an option to get a replacement ticket or a refund. I look at the replacement ticket options knowing I bought tickets for a 100 level section and they offered me a replacement ticket in the 200 level section. Their online system generates these replacement apparently based on cost but I buy tickets based on location.
Obviously swapping a 100 level ticket for 200 level doesn't do me any justice so I ask for a manager; No manager available on duty. So I'm just left with having to either refund and not attend, get a lesser version of the experience I purchased, or just pay them again for a different ticket. If there was a way to leave negative number these clowns would get it -10000000. I purchased 20 yard line lower bowl tickets to a Nebraska game I’d be traveling 900 miles to go to. 1st problem they don't give you row and seat number until 7-10 day before event. So if there’s a problem you can’t see it until there’s a limited time frame and there’s no transparency to see view of what you’re buying. When I see row and seat number it says it’s obstructed view seat. I contact StubHub right away and they say I can get a refund or exchange tickets for comparable seats. I choose exchange as travel is already booked and nonrefundable at this point. I followed their instructions to return tickets. They say they’ll release the tickets 60-90 minutes before event.
Less than an hour before event they hadn’t don’t anything. They try to exchange at 50 minutes before the game upper deck, end zone, student section tickets for the 20 yard line lower bowl tickets. The tickets they were sending as exchange were far worse than originals. They were never usable as you’d have to go to the Nebraska athletic site to get them and they were never there. Stubhub had also never taken the original obstructed view seats back.
Presented with worse tickets than the original problem ones- I used the original tickets with obstructed view. I then contacted stubhub to complain they never fixed original issue. They said they escalated issue but never contacted me back. I called and they basically said, "We sent you replacement tickets. You accepted. We won’t do anything and we won’t connect you to a supervisor." The day of the event, I got a confusing email very late in the day saying I need to deliver tickets but I never knew they were sold. I assumed they meant the 3 I sold and I doublechecked to make sure those were released and they were. Then I got an email indicating that they are charging me for the tickets I own, so I paid twice for them, once to Hollywood Bowl and One the Stub Hub even though I received no money for them.
This is absolutely ridiculous. If they took someone's money for the tickets and cancelled the sale they can give the money back or replace it with other tickets with the money they already have. It's robbery and should not be allowed to happen. I never remember reading anything about that and if that's a policy that should be in bold print before one lists their tickets. StubHub is a platform that facilitates ticket resales by independent sellers. I had an issue with four tickets I purchased from StubHub and before going to them I went straight to Ticketmaster regarding the problem, I also visited a Ticketmaster booth in person, where I was informed that the tickets had been transferred and subsequently canceled by the original seller. This clearly points to fraudulent behavior by the seller who used StubHub platform to profit at my expense, leaving me without valid tickets for the event. Additionally, I contacted StubHub and then they denied me a refund staying that I had not contacted them, which is not true. I communicated via the platform’s chat system, where I spoke with a representative who informed me that I would be transferred to someone else who could assist me further. I waited for a response that never came.
Due to being in Mexico at the time, I was unable to make a direct phone call and had no option but to rely on the chat function—hoping to get a response from a live agent. I also attempted to call but no one answered. All I am asking for is a refund of the amount I paid for the tickets. While I also incurred travel and accommodation costs—including airfare and a hotel stay—I am not seeking reimbursement for those. I simply want the platform to stand by its responsibility and issue a refund for the invalid tickets. I also hope appropriate action is taken against the seller who committed this clear act of fraud using their platform. Bottom line StubHub is not a reliable source to use for event tickets!

I bought 5 tickets to two shows (for me and friends) to see David Byrne from StubHub. I went to one show and absolutely love that man! I tried to sell the single ticket for the other show through Stub Hub. I tried repeatedly to upload the tickets after I bought them and got a message that they would not be available till the night of the show. Even then, for some reason, I could not access that ticket even on the night of the show when it sold.
Ironically, it sold to someone that night and the buttons that allowed me to transfer ticket would not work. So, I get on chat to get help. After an hour, the chat tried everything possible, including going to Ticket Master account, etc. And neither of us could find the actual ticket to transfer. She kept asking me where the original ticket came from--I bought from StubHub-- I don't know? Finally, the chat told me I should get a refund in three days because of their "Fan Guarantee." I couldn't access my tickets.
This all happened last Tuesday, September 23. Tonight, I get an email stating my account is suspended and I am suspected of fraud and reported to the local authorities-- AND THEY CHARGED ME an additional $135 for not fulfilling my sale!!!!! I cannot express how pissed off and completely disappointed I am. To add insult to injury, they are making me wait 30 days to even get a copy of my chat from last week, which will prove I did as best I could!!

Stubhub robbed us of 550$ worth of tickets to the Sept. 26 Jason Aldean concert in birmingham alabama. They claim to offer a 100 percent guarantee which they failed miserably at keeping their word. My family drove all the way to birmingham from dothan alabama, got a motel room and spent hours on the phone hearing the same lies and excuses over and over again. Haven't had any issues until a seller canceled the transaction. Tickets were in my Ballpark app and StubHub allowed the seller to pull them back. Their FanProtect guarantee states: Your tickets will be the same as or comparable to those you ordered. If any of these things do not occur and you comply with applicable policies and timelines, we will find you comparable or better tickets to the event. Neither of those happened. I had premium tickets and they tried to replace my tickets with nosebleeds.

I am a NYG season ticket holder but don't always need parking so I don't opt in for parking passes. All venue parking onsite is by season ticket holders parking pass. When necessary I have always bought passes from Ticketmaster. Who is a monopoly and overpriced. Once in the past I used StubHub. They had a venue outside the stadium where you would pick up the pass. Inconvenient but I had no problem. Now they allow digital tickets only. So here is the rub that they don't tell you. They have a agreement with the ticket holder they never actually have possession of the digital ticket. So you pay them they alert the holder and they use TICKETMASTER to send you the digital ticket. I paid a ridiculous amount and never received the ticket at all. It was hard to track down their so-called help. In the end I was in traffic at the stadium still did not have the pass and had to pay for offsite parking and be bussed in another 80 dollars.
When I reached the stadium, I reached out to an advisor who did not contact me till after them game. I showed them the ticket master screen shots which showed I had NO access to the tickets. Their response was this... I should have called earlier. The tickets were sent to me the game day at 7am for a 1 pm game. They would have been able to have me pick up the ticket at the ticket office. Which is at the stadium! meaning I need a parking pass to get my parking pass. OR have someone wait while I walk 2 miles back and forth to stadium to park. They claim it was a Ticketmaster problem. They never ever provided me with any proof that the pass was at all real, or that it was sent to me.
I know as a season ticket holder when I send tickets it goes directly to the person from Ticketmaster and I can open it up and use it. At best this is StubHub facilitating a scam by the owner of the pass. At worst they just don't care as long as they have their money and they aren't giving it back. Several emails amount to... "Sucks to be you dude."

We called Stubhub from the venue to get the name, the venue rep even tried to get the last name on the phone from them.... still no name... no VIP, after almost $3,000 for tickets!
Later tried to take advantage of the "100% guaranteed or your money back!"... poo! Even with screenshot of phone call & the rep admitting that the last name was never given, they said "Sorry, we can't help you". The guarantee is USELESS!!! The customer service is USELESS! I will never do business with this company again. They set a deadline of an hour before events for tickets to be delivered. For a 5 pm central time event, the time shows up as 2 pm. What they fail to mention is 1/ when the deadline will be in advance of your purchase and 2/ the time zone of the 2 pm deadline (which is Pacific time). Stubhub stuck out twice. Saturday, September 27, I had 2 tickets for 10 pm CT. I did not receive the tickets by 9 pm CT and they offered 1 replacement ticket. What? Seriously? I wasted 90 minutes of my time driving to the venue and back. Finally got a refund for the event but not the parking pass I had purchased. I then made the erroneous assumption based on a customer service conversation that if I purchased tickets for the show on Sunday, it won't be a problem. Should not have listened as it became a problem. Unresponsive sellers are a huge issue on the platform.
Additionally, the hour deadline for tickets before an event is unacceptable. Does Stubhub not realize that you are asking people to potentially drive an hour one-way only to get to an event and not have tickets, turn around, and drive an hour back? The company needs to ensure that deadlines are met at least 3 hours before an event. And it needs to preclude sellers who can't deliver from selling on their platform. I am done with this horrible company.

I trusted the process but obviously when I got to the gate it was reading as fraudulent! Stayed on the phone with StubHub for more than an hour, and initially they were going to offer me alternative tickets, which is totally fine with me. They come back saying that isn’t any… I go on their website and of course there was… but higher price! So they offered me a refund, in 8 business days! I sold $3,700 worth of tickets on 9/13, and StubHub listed my payout date as 9/22. It is now 9/27 and I still have not seen payment, despite being told by multiple agents and supervisors (through repeated phone calls and chats) that the money was coming “that day.” StubHub has already collected from buyers months ago, so there is no reason to hold seller payments this long. This is not only frustrating, it is unethical and completely unacceptable.
The customer service experience has been a nightmare. Agents contradict supervisors, everyone gives different answers, and the online portal provides nothing but vague, useless information. There is no consistency, no accountability, and no real transparency. Based on my research, this is not an isolated issue but a widespread, systemic problem. On Reddit, forums, and other complaint sites, I see the same story again and again—StubHub delays payments, misleads sellers, and makes it nearly impossible to get straight answers.
This is not just bad customer service—it’s predatory business. StubHub is essentially holding sellers’ money hostage, earning interest on funds that do not belong to them while sellers are left waiting, sometimes for weeks. It amounts to an interest-free loan that sellers are forced into giving. The constant delays, broken promises, and misinformation feel like deliberate tactics to wear people down until they stop fighting.
I have documented everything: recorded calls, screenshots of chats, and every assurance that was broken. I have also contacted the American Arbitration Association to explore every possible legal avenue. StubHub presents itself as a trusted marketplace, but their actions suggest the opposite. They exploit sellers, delay payments without justification, and operate in a way that borders on fraud. I will never use StubHub again for buying or selling, and I strongly urge others to avoid this company if they value their time, money, and sanity. StubHub’s payment practices are deceptive, unethical, and should be investigated immediately.

StubHub guarantees that if you get obstructed view and it's not listed on the ticket you get new seats or a refund. My daughter & I went to Chappell Roan lastnight in New York. She is our FAV artist & we were SO excited! It was another $75 for tolls & parking. We were beyond disappointed to be led to our seats only to find it was a side stage seat with that was extremely obstructed. I NEVER would have purchased them if it stated that or showed the view. We even looked up the view and the seats were not obstructed which is false advertising and fraud. I paid over $600 for them. The entire show took place under the stage due to the rain so we basically sat in the pouring rain listening to our FAV artist but not being able to see thing. I tried to reach out to StubHub numerous times to resolve the issue before the show started. I was told there was nothing they could do, that I had to wait until the next day.
I begged them to give us different seats. They said they couldn't. I could ask for a refund the next day. How does that help me? We wanted to see the show that we were SO excited for! This is inexcusable. Period. I called today because I have tickets to a show in Boston 10/2 & I have not received the tickets yet. I don't want to drive five hours there, spend the night in a hotel to learn that the tickets are no good, I've lost faith and trust in them after last night. I was even more frustrated to learn that if I had just called them last night, they would've given me new tickets when that's what I begged them to do last night three times. There was no number listed & I begged the chat to give me a phone number. I've been a customer of theirs for over a decade and this situation just ended that relationship. I needed their help last night and they chose not to issue new tickets.
I would have have preferred to have gotten general admission to see the stage. I will no longer do business with StubHub. You let me down. But even worse than that, you let down my daughter. Seeing the disappointment in her eyes crushed me. And the fact that you won't resell my Boston tickets for 10/2 and provide a credit for me to get tickets here in NYC because I can't trust that these tickets will be valid shows me that my business is not valuable to you. There is a review below that they traveled, their tickets weren't valid and you gave them a refund. They spent money for a rental car, hotel. This is my point exactly.
After last night I don't trust you. I want my money back for 10/2 or a credit to get tickets here locally in NYC. I'm being told I will get the tickets day of. NO! That's not good enough. We'll see if I even get a refund for last night's show. I was told it could take up to 14 days to review & issue a refund if they find my dispute valid. Shame on you StubHub for not putting your customers first and honoring your promises. Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words.

I was simply trying to check ticket prices for a concert, but the entire experience felt misleading. The platform displays prices for individual tickets without clearly indicating whether they’re resale listings—if it’s mentioned at all, it’s likely buried in fine print. On top of that, they add excessive fees that dramatically inflate the final cost. When searching for multiple tickets, they only show the price per seat, making it difficult to see the total cost until you reach the payment screen. You have to scroll down and expand the price breakdown manually to understand what you're actually being charged. I was using a browser to check prices and thought I was selecting three orchestra tickets priced around $1,500 total. However, the page didn’t load properly, and when I clicked “Next,” it triggered an automatic payment via Apple Pay. I ended up being charged $3,800 without realizing it.
I tried to cancel the payment immediately, but there was no option to do so. StubHub was unresponsive and offered no help. I explored every possible solution short of legal action. I even attempted to resell the tickets, only to discover that the actual market price on Ticketmaster was around $400 per ticket. After a 17-minute hold, the representative repeatedly read from a script explaining that because I “attended the event,” StubHub’s guarantee didn’t apply—despite the fact that I was late only because of their inaccurate information. I wasn’t asking for a refund; I simply wanted to know how such a basic error could happen and how I could trust their listings in the future. I never received an answer. Buyer beware. StubHub is not bad when it "works," but a nightmare that can cost you thousands out of pocket and a horrible experience the same day you're supposed to be having a good time. There’s a chance you will be left stranded in front of your venue, either having to buy other tickets or just not be able to attend.
They are a ticket reseller that do not actually possess the tickets. They will tell you that your purchase is "protected," but you better make sure you keep screenshots of all your chats when you are trying to resolve an issue of your tickets not being delivered. If you don’t get the issue resolved by the time the event has passed, they will use that as their mantra for not honoring their “guarantee”. I used StubHub a few times before the event on September 13th with so-so experience, but I’ve learned my very expensive lesson and will never use them again.
Experience: I purchased tickets for a football game a month prior to the event. I received an email saying I am “guaranteed”, and that you may not get your tickets until the day of the event but “don’t worry, you’re protected”. Never received the promised email and early the morning of the event (around 6 am), I asked StubHub to retransfer the tickets. I received an email from StubHub at 9:55 am saying that the seller had retransferred the tickets and to look for an email from the seller. When I didn’t receive anything, yet again, I started using their chat function at about 10:15 am. BTW, good luck finding a phone number to call and speak with an actual person. Their chat requires you to use a virtual assistant first before finally getting to a “live agent”.
Chat experience: I’m presuming my chat kept disconnecting because of the volume since my phone had full bars and I was sitting in front of the entrance watching people go in while I typed away on my phone. Be careful when chatting and take screenshots. I was informed the day after, when I was finally able to stay connected with “someone”, that there was no record of my attempting to get assistance. StubHub will also use this as their mantra and continually say that they would love to help you but since the event has passed and there is “no record” of issues reported prior to the event for your order, there is nothing they can do. Now, I’m having to dispute the charge with my CC company because I never received the goods or services I paid for.

So I did, along with picture proof. 2 weeks stubhub emails me the result of my dispute and told me I will not receive payment for my sale and they charged my credit card almost $400. This company outsourced its customer service to other countries and takes no accountability for inadequate customer service knowledge, help and false statements. I will NEVER order tickets through StubHub ever again. I bought 2 tickets to Jonas Bros. at Fenway and then just a couple of days later I found out I can't make it on the date so I relisted them. Getting no bites, I kept dropping the price. Finally, they sold; however, I did not get the tickets to transfer them to the buyer until THE DAY OF THE SHOW. Knowing they were coming, I did make the transfer and confirmed it with Redsoxticketing.com and even provided StubHub with the email I received; however, StubHub says I did not load them to the correct listing (apparently when I lowered my price I created a new listing) - and "their hands are tied".
I lost almost $400 and was only expected to get back $85 from both tickets. I filed a complaint via certified mail as they require (another $13), and STILL they say it's not their fault. The only instructions I received was to upload tickets to a certain email address which I did (and Redsoxticketing.com confirmed), so I'm at a loss as to how I get ANY money back. They are thieves!!! I was at a wedding which is why I couldn't attend the concert, so it ruined my time at the wedding because I was too busy having to "chat" with StubHub reps!!! DON'T BUY FROM STUBHUB!!

The tickets were outrageously overpriced with their fees, the “guarantee” they advertise meant absolutely nothing, and their customer service was beyond frustrating—impossible to get a straight answer, and when I finally did, it was useless. I felt completely scammed and left out of pocket for an event I couldn’t even attend because the tickets didn’t work. Save yourself the stress and money—StubHub is unreliable and not worth the risk. Over 1 hour later I received an email from Stubhub stating they had sold my tickets and I had one hour to deliver them. I called to let them know I no longer had the tickets and they had sold on another platform and that I had quickly deleted my listing. In fact, I pointed out that the notification I received was over an hour after the deleted listing. They are adamant that I will be charged the full price for these tickets. So, now I have lost money on my tickets having had to pay for them twice, selling them once! What a scam! Will stubhub not refund the other buyer's money since they do not receive the tickets? Of course they will!

Next day Amex presale showed their prices and it was below $70 CA for the tickets when I paid &467 for 3 tickets in total. They also added service fees that they have not disclosed before the transaction. They declined to provide refund when I requested it the day after the purchase, their staff on live chat were very rude as well. DO NOT USE STUBHUB!! One star review only because zero is not an option. Although we had used StubHub previously to sell tickets we could not use, and were grateful for the service in selling the tickets, our experience in purchasing tickets was just the opposite and ruined the highlight of a once in a lifetime vacation. We bought 2 tickets for the F1 Grand Prix in Monza Italy more than 6 months prior to the race. Once purchased we are not allowed to cancel (not that we wanted to). The ticket seller is not obligated to provide the tickets until 24 hours prior to the event. We were travelling from Canada to Italy for this race, we planned our entire Europe trip around the date for this race. Despite reaching out to Stubhub a couple times prior to the race, they would not (could not) provide confirmed tickets ahead of the stated 24 hours prior to the event.
Just a couple days before the race, as we were getting ready to leave Paris for Milan for the Monza Grand Prix, we received notification that the seller was not able to provide the committed tickets. No other tickets were available. They did refund our money, but that does not account for the thousands of dollars we spent on getting to Italy for the race.
It is deplorable that, we as a buyer, cannot cancel the purchase but the seller is not held responsible to provide the tickets until the last minute. If the seller is advertising the tickets, they presumably have the tickets in hand, otherwise they should not be able to advertise the tickets for sale. If they have the tickets in hand they should be obligated to release the tickets to the buyer immediately upon purchase. My opinion, in my case, I feel the seller either did not yet have the tickets and they were selling them on speculation that they could get the tickets or they had the tickets and were later able to sell them for more than what I originally bought them for (it was a sold out event). Stubhub needs to step up and support their customers.

I've used StubHub many times no issues, last week I arrived at concert and could not find my tickets. I had emails confirming and receipts, the next day, they even emailed me asking how it was. I went to the box office for help they looked it up the order number, my email, my name - nothing, no worries, you can buy 2 more and get a refund tomorrow. I did buy 2 more. I was not missing the concert. I contacted StubHub next day via chat, spoke to 2 people, they could not find my tickets and informed me they would send up for investigation.
I did not hear nothing back so I contacted them again today via chat and he immediately found them by the order number. He told me it's because I paid for them as a guest 1. No, I did not. (I'm always logged in. 2. He could not explain why no one before him could see that and or why no one looked. So I called - that person informed me that since I did not file the day of the concert they won't refund (remember this is the 5th person and 5 days after the concert and the 1st time I've heard this one). I spent the next 9 minutes demanding a supervisor, then sat on hold almost 40 minutes waiting (at this point I don't care about the money, I can't stand thieves and this sounds like a really cool scam, I mean, look they got me for 4 tickets).
Supervisor comes on the phone and reiterates that I was a guest and it's too late- so how do I know I'm a guest, he tells me I should read my emails (ummm yeah you mean the 28 you have sent me since I purchased the tickets I did not get) no, he wants me to read "the 1st one, it tells me I'm a guest" so I read it to him and ask him where it says I'm a guest, he says right there the email says it ummm nope read it to him over and over - asking every time - so he says it tells me right under view order -It says "View your order Use your access code to view your order: QZTTT Keep your access code handy – you'll need it every time you view your order."
I don't see guest there, so he says "No, you have to click on the button and that's where you will find it." So he had me looking for an invisible word and the idiot because I could not find it. It don't make sense to me that I was logged in when I bought them and was still logged in when I arrived at the concert but somehow logged out when I paid - so I personally think this is a scam - all 3 in today's conversation found them by the order number. When I called, I had to input the last 4 of the order number and as soon as I did, the automated system call me by name (but yeah, I'm a guest). I disputed the charge on my credit card and deactivated my account, BEWARE! That 100% pledge means nothing when they hide your tickets.

A week gone by and no tickets, I contact Customer Support again and after explaining everything again, I was told the replacement tickets will arrive closer to the date. Another week gone by, I contact Customer Support again, after explaining everything again for the 3rd time I was told the issue was escalated to the internal team and to rest assure my sale is Fan Guarantee Protection and will have an refund issue 3 hours before the start of the show.
The morning on the day of the show I contacted Customer Support explaining everything for the 4th time, I was told this has been escalated to the internal team and contact them again an hour before start time. If there's no resolution, they'll trigger the refund. 70 minutes before the start of the show, I contacted Customer Support, explaining everything for the 5th time and this time I was told to wait until the start of the show to determine if I can get replacement tickets or a refund. Since the 5th agent escalated the issue to the internal team, they can't issue me a refund. I was fed up from this point on and requested to get a refund so I can purchase new tickets and was declined over & over again. I was able to secure new tickets and after the show, I did not get any sort of notification whether I get new tickets or refund. I contact Customer Support for the 6th time after the show, repeating myself about the issue, this time they trigger an email that they found me replacement tickets. This is now 4:52 pm and my show was at 1 pm.
Stubhub customer support is beyond ridiculous where agents will not bother to look up if there's an existing case open and just give random responses just to end the conversation with the client. I had a terrible experience with Stubhub during which I was taken advantage of by Stubhub and a theatre ticket seller, who did a bait and switch. I bought tickets to Maybe Happy Ending. The seller missed getting me the tickets by the noon deadline on the day of the show. I reached out to Stubhub and asked for a refund because the show was starting at 3 p.m. and the doors were closing by 3. They said the seller requested an additional 1-2 hours to get me tickets, to which I said no, I wanted a refund.
When I finally got the tickets right before the show, the email that delivered them had the correct seats I bought in the text, but the tickets that I downloaded were for worse seats in a different section with almost fully obstructed view. I can't believe that Stubhub does that to its customers. When I reached out to Stubhub to report the fraud all they offered was a 20% discount on a future purchase. They should be refunding me for half the price of the tickets since these tickets were worse/lower value tickets ($49 face value). A friend just told me that she was recently scammed by Stubhub for Hamilton tickets. They sold her tickets that were fake. The key learning is - do not purchase tickets from Stubhub. They don't take accountability, nor do they care about the purchaser and they allow unethical practices.

We brought broadway tickets for my autistic daughter with my military husband before he deployed. I specifically bought front row of our section-because she needed to see (as did my short son). They changed our tickets without so much as a reach out. Our tickets even still read Row A, but when they scanned, they told us to sit elsewhere. Trying to navigate the change last minute, we were running back and forth between where our seats were supposed to be and where they were telling us our seats were… then the show started. An autistic child missing the first 5 minutes of the show was detrimental to our experience, but exacerbated by sitting behind seemingly the tallest man in the entire theatre when they finally did let us in.
When I did reach out to Stubhub they said there was nothing they could do because we didn’t reach out before the show (which would have been impossible since they never told us anything changed) or DURING the show-which clearly, they have never been to a broadway show before-as you are ejected if you are using your phone for any reason. They offered a small voucher, but cared not about the terrible experience, the last one before my husband deploys, and why would I ever use their services again knowing exactly what could happen?!?! I would give zero stars if I could.

I bought a ticket several months before much-anticipated show, paid high dollar for good seat in mezzanine. But StubHub did a bait and switch: at the very last moment (less than hour before venue opened), my seat was “transferred” to the LAST row, the least expensive seat in huge auditorium; and StubHub is not compensating the significant price difference despite their “guarantee”.
Details: the ticket change was sent less than hour before the show as a “transfer” to an unknown Ticket Master seat (no seating chart provided). I was given option to accept transfer or get refund - which would mean not going to a show I had been anticipating for 6 months… AND I got this news while I was in taxi heading to show! So this “Choice”was no choice, it was “take it or leave it.” (Upon being seated, I was shocked to learn I was in the very LAST row - in no way “comparable” to the ticket I paid for).
StubHub offers a guarantee that if switch occurs, the switch will be to comparable seat. BUT the guarantee is null if you accept their “transfer”. In my case, the ticket was switched at last minute, with no way to verify if ticket was comparable. So: no ticket “transfer” details until last minute; no way to verify if new seat is “comparable”; no option other than take it or leave it. If the consumer accepts the mystery “transfer”, then StubHub seat protection guarantee is null & void.
I question who keeps the price difference in these situations - StubHub? I am curious as to how frequently last minute bait & switch ticket transfers - transfers in which consumer does not truly have a “choice” - occur, and who profits? I don’t have the answer, but this business practice seems to merit consumer protection investigation.

I reached out to Stubhub and their representative Erick ** was extremely rude and did not care. For goodness sake, it was literally only $22. They didn't want to refund that, that's fine. But Erick's rudeness was horrible. He was so nonchalant and didn't care. He was just like "Oh well". PLEASE Spend your money elsewhere. At least the actual concert was AMAZING. Erick has ruined me to ever do business with Stubhub again. I am not sure why he's a customer service agent when he is a complete meanie.

I recently used StubHub for the first time and had a very disappointing experience. While browsing tickets, I was shown a pop-up advertisement for “the lowest parking price in the area.” Trusting that claim, I purchased parking through StubHub — only to find out later that the actual event parking was less than half the price. StubHub charged me $50 before fees and taxes (over $65 after fees) for a parking pass that I could have bought at the venue for just $32 (total amount). When I contacted customer service, they insisted that I wasn’t “paying double” since the pre-fee price was $50. But this misses the point: StubHub misrepresented the parking as the lowest available price, when in reality I was overcharged significantly.
This feels like a predatory and misleading practice. As a first-time user, I had expected StubHub to provide buyer protection and transparency, but instead I paid more than double what I should have. I will not be using StubHub again, and I strongly caution other buyers to research venue parking options before trusting StubHub’s “lowest price” claims.

Complaint Regarding StubHub Ticket Purchase for Disney Descendants – Amerant Bank Arena – Sept 6. In July of this year, I purchased four tickets for the Disney Descendants performance at Amerant Bank Arena through StubHub, after being redirected there from Ticketmaster. I did some research before purchasing and found that StubHub claims to guarantee their tickets. Based on this assurance, I went ahead and bought the tickets.
According to the email confirmation I received, the tickets were supposed to be transferred to me by the seller no later than the day of the event, September 6. We arrived at the arena at 6:00 PM, still having not received our tickets. I checked my email repeatedly and contacted StubHub customer service (1-866-788-2482). The representative told me that the seller never transferred the tickets and had not responded to their inquiries. I expressed that I did not want a refund — I wanted the tickets I had paid for, as promised. The rep then informed me that no tickets were available for the event anymore and said they could only issue a refund.
What made this situation especially painful is that my daughters had been looking forward to this event for months. It was devastating to see them in tears, along with many other families in the same situation who had traveled from out of town. The StubHub representative sent a link that was supposed to offer alternative ticket options, but it only led to a refund request page. In the end, we were left without tickets, without the experience we paid for, and deeply disappointed. This experience leads me to believe that StubHub is not a trustworthy platform. It appears they operate as a resale marketplace, and when sellers choose not to deliver, StubHub simply offers a refund — which does nothing to fix the emotional loss or time wasted, especially for children.
A warning to others: StubHub does not truly guarantee tickets if the seller fails to deliver. Ticketmaster redirecting users to StubHub can be misleading and risky. This is not just a financial issue — it's an emotional one when children are involved. I’m taking the time to share this because I want others to be cautious when purchasing tickets from StubHub or through platforms that redirect to it. What happened to us should not happen to any other family.

A few weeks before, per StubHub, was "going to be rescheduled" -- so we had to pay cancellation fees for our flight and cancel hotel. We waited and waited, and no reschedule. We finally verified with the venue that it was permanently cancelled and therefore we should have been reimbursed by StubHub 120% per their stated cancellation policy. Tens of calls and even more emails later, we still do not have resolution or our money back - and we're talking over $2000. I am at a loss of words about the scam that StubHub ran against my family this week. Months ago I bought 5 tickets to the Benson Boone concert in Philly this past Wednesday September 3, 2025 and never received them. I called customer service over 7 times during the two weeks leading up to the concert and even escalated multiple times. Then I was told not to worry I would either get the tickets or a refund. They were tickets for my daughter’s birthday. One and a half hours before the show and we still did not get them. They never arrived.
StubHub kept sending me troubleshooting tickets asking me to accept and then when I got accepted it would go to the “my events” page and nothing was there. It was a disaster and ruined the fun for my daughter’s birthday. The most illegal and unbelievable part is that I paid $1700 for those tickets and NEVER even got a refund. I did not get tickets to the concert nor a refund. They stole our money and just said, "Sorry there isn’t anything we can do because our internal investigation team shows you accepted the tickets."
Please don’t ever use this platform. I’m now in the midst of finding an attorney to file a legal complaint in hopes I can at least get my money back. My family never got the tickets, my daughter's bday celebration was ruined and they stole $1,700. A complete and fraudulent scam! Oh and the best part is I have screenshots and proof that the tickets never came into my account. I can’t believe something like this happened by what I thought was a reputable company. Beware. Do not buy tickets on this platform!!! Ps. The pics I have attached to this review are the messages you get when you accept the tickets. I got this same message for the two weeks leading up to the concert, the night of the concert and even the next day and I have screenshots for all those times.

The system incorrectly marked them as sold and then locked the tickets, leaving me with no options.
When I called for help, neither the representative nor the manager could fix the problem — all they did was apologize. Contacted StubHub. Finally did get the email from StubHub and when I clicked on Get Ticket, it went nowhere and the link disappeared. I chatted online with an agent, and he then told me there were no more tickets available at this venue. So, an hour before the start of the concert, I called my son, who was driving to the concert, that surely there would be available parking when he got there, and to let me know.
I have now applied for a refund of the cost. We will see how long it takes, or if I will ever receive. A full week later, after hearing nothing, we called back only to be told that the “resolution team” had decided our only option was to dispute the charge with our credit card company. That’s it. No help, no replacement tickets, no refund—just a brush-off. When we referenced the FanProtect Guarantee (which is supposed to cover exactly this kind of issue), customer support had nothing to offer. StubHub’s guarantee is worthless. They do not stand by their promises, and their “support” is just a runaround. If you value your money and peace of mind, buy your tickets elsewhere. This company does not protect its customers.

We bought tickets for the Muny Theater in St. Louis on 8/16/2025 for the 8/21/2025 show. On 8/20 I received notification that my tickets were ready. I downloaded the tickets to my Google Wallet as instructed. The tickets looked legit with the QR scan code but when I pulled them up the day of the show they were expired and missing the QR code. I spent a while chatting and also on a phone call and sent screenshots of the tickets without the QR code but they assured me they were good to go. Of course when we went to enter they said there is no QR code so we can't scan you in. I call the next day and was told that I need to call while the show was going on in order to get a refund. So much for their customer satisfaction guarantee. I was told they would escalate the complaint but basically don't hold your breath. I am contesting the charge with my credit card company so we will see. I have used StubHub before but never again.

I strongly advise against purchasing tickets from this company. My experience was a nightmare; they sold me fake tickets. When I arrived at the venue, the staff informed me that my tickets didn’t scan. To make matters worse, StubHub refused to replace them or issue a refund. I had dressed up with so much excitement, only to have my night ruined. It truly became one of the worst evenings I've ever had. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere!

I purchased tickets from StubHub almost a year ago as a Christmas present for my two young daughters. These tickets were supposed to be for a Disney show they have been looking forward to all year. The event is tonight. It starts in two hours, and I still have no tickets. StubHub support told me they would email me back within 20 minutes with a resolution. That was hours ago. I received nothing. Their “FanProtect Guarantee” means nothing in practice — a refund does not undo the damage of ruining an event and a gift that was planned a year in advance.
This is not a minor inconvenience. It is a complete failure to provide the product I paid for, after holding my money for nearly a year. The stress and disappointment StubHub has caused my family is unacceptable. I will never use StubHub again, and I want others to be warned. If you are considering purchasing from them, know that you risk losing not just your money, but also the entire experience you are paying for. StubHub cannot be trusted to deliver tickets as promised. Desired Resolution: Immediate accountability and stronger consumer protections. Families should not be treated this way.

I listed baseball tickets which sold almost immediately. The price was 1/5th of what I had listed them for. I immediately contacted StubHub. They refused to acknowledge it happened on their end, I had received a visual confirmation of my net proceeds, which matched my expectations of the listing but I didn’t retain a screenshot. They requested “proof” and refused to rescind the sale, and just kept saying it was my fault. I know I didn’t enter the wrong amount ($10 instead of $55) and it wasn’t a “keying slip up” on my part, replacing the $55 with $10.
The listing confirmation they send is devoid of the listing or expected proceeds amount. Customer service was unhelpful and kept saying there was nothing they can do - this despite rescinding a sale I had made the week prior because there was an issue with the buyer. So I know they could resolve it if they wanted to. They refused to engage a higher level representative - insisting they were right and everyone had the same training. I’ve sold on their platform for many years - but no more.

Told Stub Hub but customer still tried to use for the other nights so I assume the company didn’t tell them. Now, not only was this person upset, I have not been paid for the one legit night ticket. When I couldn’t fulfill their demands to transfer the tickets that were nonexistent because I sold them elsewhere, they didn’t charge a “fee”, they charged me the full amount for the tickets. For a listing that was CANCELLED. Customer “service” is a bot, then a rep who has no power and can’t see anything, to the promise of a manager calling which never happens.

Avoid StubHub if you can for tickets. I have had multiple issues with them. The first was for a Nate Bargatze show in which I bought tickets 3 months in advance. When I did not receive the tickets the day of the show, I had to contact their customer service. It took them all day to find out that the tickets I purchased were not available. Their solution was to give me tickets for different seating much further away than what I bought with no discount. Then just this week, I did not receive the parking pass I purchased until the morning of the show. The parking pass was miles away from the venue and not as it had been advertised. They did not get back to me until after 6:00pm, which was too late to solve my problem as I had plans to meet friends at 6 pm. Now they will not give me a refund. Avoid StubHub at all costs!!

It is now August 18th and I STILL do not have the tickets and no way to contact the seller OR StubHub (since they don't have customer service). I can't make the concert, and I can't even resell the tix because I don't have them yet. I tried contacting customer service to understand why my ticket was hidden and the response was buyers with some filter turned off could find it. Yeah. No-one found it, meanwhile, tickets for four times the price sold. Fool me once... Three days ago I needed tickets for a Zach Bryan concert. Found two on StubHub day of event. Got to even, tried to pull up the tickets only to receive an email saying "We're sorry, the seller couldn't deliver...You can have a refund in EIGHT days." While I'm AT the event. Thanks StubHub! The "DIAMOND BOX" is pictured as a unique section separated from the Field Box section above it. WRONG!!!! It is just the same section with letters for the rows instead of numbers. To get to the below-grade "club," you have to walk all the way to the top of the section and then back down. Quite a hike. No break in the rows to get from the "DIAMOND BOX" to the area two sections over. The seats in the "DIAMOND BOX" are the same crummy seats as the rest of the stadium. I have purchased tickets that I am not able to access for an upcoming event on August 24th. I spent hundreds of dollars on these events and no one can seem to help me recover this account. I keep being told that someone will call me back and that has never happened. I have never received and email which I was also promised. This is unacceptable and poor customer service and poor business. I need the tickets that I purchased for $500 dollars.
I am not happy with this situation and I have been far too patient, the event I am owed a refund for was in March and it is August and I still have received zero help. Again there are several issues here:
1. I cannot access my account.
2. I need my tickets that I purchased for an upcoming event on August 24th.
3. I need the refund for the tickets I was not able to use in March.
Hundreds of dollars worth of tickets. There is nothing wrong with this email account.

Terrible customer service, they just read standard answers from the book but can't answer your specific questions or resolve anything so once you purchased tickets, you are on your own-they have no control over individuals whose tickets they are selling and no guarantee of anything.
Whoever sells tickets can give you all kinds of promises like free parking, full refund in case you can't attend or need to change your ticket. Once you buy, this person disappears from chat and you can't reach them. After 4 calls ruining my day and no resolution up to an hour before the event, I was forced to buy new tickets at 3 times the price and then received an e-mail offering alternative tix or a refund. BEWARE of doing business with StubHub. I bought concert tickets to see Paul Simon in Seattle and at checkout was asked if I would like to purchase a Parking Pass for the Event. I clicked yes. It was a big rigamarole to actually get the pass after I had paid for it. I was able to print it on the day of the event. I drove 2 hours to the concert venue site, where there is a secure garage, for which I thought I had purchased this pass. The price at the garage was less than I paid, but I thought that was the cost of paying for a convenience I didn't need.
At the garage across the street from the event site, it was pointed out that the Parking Pass I was issued was for a different site. I drove to the site for the prepaid parking pass and I found that the pass was for an empty lot with a small sign nearly a half mile away, over the freeway, in a neighborhood that was mostly abandoned. It was scary and insecure. I communicated initially with the Virtual Agent that said StubHub has a customer satisfaction guarantee if the product they delivered was not satisfactory, and it connected me to a Live Agent.
The live agent said that my misfortune was my problem, and StubHub would not help. When I called StubHub the next day, I was told the same thing. The agent and their supervisor said that Stub Hub actually does not guarantee buyer satisfaction, and implied it was my fault for using them to purchase a parking pass, because they are only a Transfer Agent that does not pay any attention to or guarantee that a parking pass sold as "for an event" is actually a reasonable place to park for the event.
