I purchased tickets through the venue vendor for the national volleyball tournament in Minneapolis. We fully intended to go. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to go. I waited until after the regional finals were completed to post the tickets on StubHub. I selected the flash ticket sale on the website because I have never had actual tickets that I could not electronically transfer. There was no description of what a flash sale ticket was. If I had chosen the hard ticket option, I wouldn't have been able to sell them. My tickets sold on the Wednesday prior to the event. I filled out all the paperwork as provided to me by StubHub.
I received an email later from Stubhub that said that the buyer had not yet received her tickets. I called the 800 number that they provided and the person from Stubhub said that I was stupid and I should have known that I was unable to transfer these as a flash transfer. How would I know that there was no description of what a flash transfer was and why I wouldn't be able to do that on the website. So I told her it was no problem that I would just overnight these to the buyer. I had the email of the buyer and reached out to her to sell these tickets. She sent me her address and I spent ANOTHER $80 to overnight these tickets to her so that she would receive them prior to 10:30 a.m. the next morning.
I ran out like a madman to get them to the UPS store before the deadline and I after I returned I got another email from StubHub that said that they had canceled my sale and that I was being fined $400.00 in addition to not being paid for my tickets. These tickets were over $600 each plus shipping. So now I am out $1700, considering the cost of my tickets, the fines and cost of overnight shipping. After the game on December 13th, the purchaser sends me an email requesting that I call her, which I do.
She tells me that StubHub send her an email canceling my order and selling her ANOTHER set of tickets (sale number 5 to her because all of the other tickets had the same problem mine did, they couldn't be flash transferred). She received a phone call from StubHub telling this buyer that I was a scam artist and was committing fraud on their site as I never had tickets to begin with, which was a lie and slander against me. She then received her sixth set of tickets because number five also couldn't be flash transferred and before she left for the tournament, my tickets were delivered to her overnight. She said she sold them at the tournament for me. I will NEVER do business with StubHub again.
Think of the windfall they received just from this one transaction. They received a $400 fine x 6 for all these sales transactions being canceled for their lack of ability to communicate and instead of sales commissions for the tickets. The original amount received would have been 6 x $120. Instead they received 6 x $400. Plus the lady who received my tickets told me that everyone around her at the tournament had the same problem with the flash sale because StubHub did not explain that hard tickets could not be electronically transferred for this event. What a mess. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER do business with STUBHUB!!!

I bought my boyfriend Toronto Maple Leafs tickets - Sec 120, Row 2. This was for his birthday. To be honest, I was extremely nervous purchasing these tickets because they're SO EXPENSIVE, almost double the retail price and there were a ton of negative reviews and I was afraid I'd get fake tickets and get denied at the door. My best friend purchased tickets from StubHub before and told me they're pretty legit and never had a problem. I took a huge gamble on these and bought the tickets for $500 each. The day of the game, I was literally shaking in fear and prayed the tickets were real and they would scan properly and thank God THEY DID!
My boyfriend had the best time at the game. We were so close to the rink and the player's bench, we even fist pumped each player as they were going in and out of the rink. Thank you seller/StubHub. We had such an incredible experience! For anyone thinking of buying tickets from StubHub I would still be a little bit careful only because there are sellers out there that scam people which is unfortunate. But the good thing is StubHub provides their customers with the Fan Protection plan meaning if you ever run into any trouble with your tickets they can either find you a replacement OR a refund. So there's that to consider. Good luck!

My daughter gave me a $100 StubHub gift card in December of 2017. I tried to enter the code and PIN into my online profile, but it would not accept it. I started calling StubHub to resolve it and since last March I have spent over 4 hours on the phone with them. I still can't use it. Now they claim that they have figured it out, it's December 21st 2018. Still no results. I have lost tickets I wanted 3 times now. This company does not give a damn. If it doesn't show up in 24 hours I'm going to throw it away because I can't stand the grief of realizing they ripped off my daughter and I. Terrible!

I have used StubHub for ten years selling NFL tickets (almost 100 games) always in pairs. This week I found that Stubhub split off one of the tickets, leaving the other unsold. The associate I spoke with admitted error and assured me they would reimburse. Next day however another individual gave a circular argument insisting it was my fault. Maybe for the best as I had grown tired of their extortionate fees and am ready to move on. If you are a seller look elsewhere. These people do not value loyalty. Can you not give zero stars?

I listed tickets in a section listed on my tickets. The website accidentally listed them as box seats even though I put them in the right way. Right Section and Row. The seats with that section and row are not even offered in box seats. They had a search engine issue but wanted to charge me 40% fee and cancel sale saying I listed wrong. It was a website error and they won't admit it. Never selling here again. Lost tons of money!!!

We listed our NCAA tickets on Stubhub and were offered two options - paper tickets or Flash Seats. Although I had paper tickets the time to sell part was past so I researched Flash Seats. I located the venue and found that you could convert paper to flash seats at Target Center which was where the event was. I listed the tickets as flash seats. My tickets sold and I went to transfer via flash seats. When I did this my transaction was denied and I soon found out NCAA restricts flash seat conversions.
Ok so I call StubHub and ask how I can get the tickets to the buyer. Historically they had a drop site downtown for paper tickets similar to Will call so they could verify the tickets were picked up and voila you get paid. They said they no longer do that and since I couldn’t deliver the tickets they would cancel the sale - no problem. The transaction was very cordial and polite. 24 hours later I get a charge on my credit card for $396 for a canceled sale. They said they had to buy the person other tickets but other tickets were available for much cheaper.
I inquired and found out you are charged the cost to buy the new tickets or 40% of the list price whichever is GREATER. This was an honest mistake and I was willing to do whatever it took to get the tickets to the buyer. This is a scam - of course they got rid of their drop locations because they make more money this way. Nowhere was this enormous penalty disclosed (well I have been told it is in the fine print). It certainly wasn’t disclosed over the phone when they told me no big deal we will just cancel the sale. I have canceled my account and will never use them - there are lots of ticketing resale vendors.

I will never use StubHub again to sell tickets. Their system is very confusing when trying to sell tickets for "open sessions" and despite contacting their live chat agents two times the day that I posted, I received an email from them AFTER the event stating that there was an error in my posting and they were taking back my payment! Even though their own agents didn't catch any error. They were awful to work with. Despite their fees, there is no support or acknowledgment of their error.

I have now decided to just go with TickPick fewer fees for buyers and don't want to deal with StubHub unethical way of running a business. I did not get an email on the change of fees or it is also not listed on their website.

In fall 2018, we purchased $436 tickets for an event at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, GA. Upon arrival we discovered that our view of the stage was completely blocked by sound equipment. The Fox box office told us that the original purchasers of the tickets were informed of the issue at the time of purchase. The tickets were then resold to us via StubHub at premium rates. We left the theater and called StubHub immediately. We clearly explained the fraud perpetrated by the seller. StubHub refused any responsibility because “blocked view” wasn’t printed in the tickets. We lost the cost of the tickets, the concert opportunity, and confidence in StubHub.

Sold tickets for the first time on StubHub via a mobile upload. For some reason - software or buyer error - the tickets didn't work & they charged us $48 for a $108 sale. Relisted the tickets as instant download, they sold again & worked just fine. So seller beware, it's probably buried somewhere in their user agreement that they can charge you 40-100% of the sale if the buyer has a problem with the tickets, regardless of whether the tickets prove to be totally valid. Was also hung up on the first time I tried to reach customer service - not a user friendly/customer supportive service.

I purchase Starlight tickets for the Phantom of the Opera in San Antonio, Texas. The tickets I purchased were suppose to be Row 1. What I got was Row 3. Definitely not what they advertised or what I received. I spent $600 for these tickets. Starlight seats come with VALET parking per each ticket. I received one valet parking on one ticket. On the other ticket you can clearly see that portion of the ticket torn off. That is a BIG problem since we will be arriving in two separate vehicles. Not impressed with the service!!! I sold tickets on StubHub and received payment. StubHub contacted me a week after the event and said the buyer's tickets were invalid and when the buyer went to their seats they were taken. StubHub asked me to provide my receipt and a scan report from the venue, which I did. And that was the end of the investigation and they charged me $567.
I spoke with the corporate office, sent a detailed email and reported it to the Better Business Bureau. StubHub responds with "User Agreement" and "Policy" and basically accuses me of being fraudulent. It's offensive and untrue. They didn't even consider that the buyer was guilty. Not to mention that StubHub gets paid a percentage not only for the initial sale of the tickets but also charges an additional fee (50% of the StubHub order) for something that is NOT my fault. I will NEVER use StubHub again and I will tell everyone I know not to use them as well. This is a scam. A way for StubHub to make more money. I can't believe StubHub gets away with this... unbelievable.

I bought two sets of tickets, 2 & 2 from StubHub for $100 ea. $400 total. Because they require you to "Accept the tickets" as like a double opt-in, I did not receive the actual tickets until the day of the event. So StubHub took my $400, I knew I couldn't attend so I listed all of the tickets for sale on their site. No one could bid or buy on them because I had not accepted them (but I had paid for them), so I kept dropping the price. Once I accepted the tickets day-of they were sold immediately for 1/2 of what I had paid. Loss of $100.
The other 2 tickets, I decided not to accept them because I didn't want to take a bath on those too. But StubHub informed me that because they sent an accept email, despite allowing me to list them for sale but not accept bids... that I am out that $200. A total loss of $300 for an event I did not attend. They are collecting from everyone upfront, and making people like me struggle with their confusing accepting process and keeping all the money people have been scammed out of. Customer service offered me a 10% coupon/$20 on the total loss. What an absolute horrible experience. NEVER AGAIN!

I bought tickets for my kids and myself for the ACC Championship Game. Get to the gate, tickets are ‘invalid’. Call them immediately and have to go through their process. They can’t get others, and after an argument, agree to send me a full refund. They follow up with an email confirming same. Next day, I get confirmation of a credit to my account, HOWEVER, it is for less than 50% of the cost with no explanation. I had called twice yesterday to see why. The first person after going through the process/discussion, says someone in the ‘claim’ department would have to call me back later. After no response from them, I call back. Same runaround, nothing but passing the buck and avoidance of answering questions. Finally, get a ‘manager’ on the phone. He gives me some excuse about needing to investigate the incident.
Keep in mind that they have already given me written notice that they will give me a 100% refund, and nowhere in that notice does it say there is any further investigation. He then says he has to be fair to their customer, the seller, who provided the invalid/fraudulent tickets. That is ridiculous to me, as I too am the customer, and I was the one that was deprived of the goods they were sold with a 100% ‘guarantee’. Oh, and by the way, we know we told you that the claim department would be calling you back shortly, but they don’t work weekends! The ticket experience was awful enough, but dealing with their company representatives is even worse. Beware if you choose to use these people in the future. I have learned my lesson...

On Saturday 11/24/2018, an attempt to purchase four Lakers vs. Boston Celtics tickets by myself and three family members. To begin the process of purchasing the tickets which totaled over 1900 took over 2 hours of attempting to purchase. The longer process begin with the system kept kicking us out when we got to the final step to purchase, two when we got past that step the system was stating the tickets were no longer available to purchase. At this point we decided to call StubHub customer service to see if we could get this issue resolved. Lo and behold the customer Representative was having an issue as well. A different one. At this point we're on the phone another hour attempting to purchase these tickets. Once the Representative was able to get into his system and locate the tickets we were trying to purchase the price amount had changed.
In attempt to keep the price the same we had to literally pleas with the representative. After another 30 mins of being on hold he final came back and stated that he could change the service back to the original price. For the long inconvenience it was asked per a family member could the service fee not the ticket amount be waived. His response was no. A superior was asked for, his response to this request was that "I can get you one but, he will tell you the same the answer." We found it very odd that this representative could answer on the behalf of his authority.
Again, we were put on hold waiting for a supervisor, the Representative returned and stated one was not available and did we want to proceed with our purchase of over 1900.00. At this point we are frustrated, once the purchase was made, it just so happened a Superior was "NOW" AVAILABLE. Needless to state the supervisor response to this entire issue was the same as the Representative. In the end we did not get anything accomplished and we walked away being very dissatisfied with the service provided to us. This will be the last time that my family or I will support and purchase ANYTHING from StubHub. We are making this a point to have our issue go VIRAL!! And to get this problem!! Made away of!

For my 50th birthday my wife and I purchased tickets to Hamilton in Chicago through StubHub. It was a much-needed getaway after some recent challenges with our kids and lots of hard work at our jobs. In addition to the considerable expense of the tickets, we flew a long distance and made hotel/dinner arrangements, with the show being the featured event of the weekend. We got to the show with our %100 guaranteed tickets and found people in our seats. We were told that their tickets were valid as well, and they arrived first, so we were out of luck.
The helpful staff at the theater tried to assist but they were sold out. Since that time I have, very patiently, tried to work out a resolution with StubHub. While they did refund our tickets, that is simply not good enough. This was beyond disappointing or inconvenient. It completely ruined our trip, and honestly was damaging personally and emotionally to both of us. StubHub refuses to provide Hamilton tickets, even to closer venues like NYC or Boston, or to compensate us in any way for our expenses. It is clear they place no value on the experience of the customer. From my e-receipt confirming my ticket purchase:
"Service that stays with you all the way to your seat". "Things happen. We're here to help. Available by phone at 866-788-2482 or 24/7 online chat." "Though highly unlikely, if you have any problems with the tickets or the venue, give us a call right away." "Remember, you're fully covered by our FanProtect Guarantee." Well, based on my experience, I never got to my seat, they were not at all helpful, I did call them right away, and their "FanProtect Guarantee is garbage. Needless to say, I will never purchase anything through StubHub again, and I am finding any and every way to give them negative reviews, in hopes that I can prevent at least a small amount of sales for this irresponsible, unethical company.

I sold a couple of paper tickets for a concert about a week before the concert because two of my friend were not able to go and I needed to get rid of the tickets. StubHub gave me the UPS label to print use for shipping which I did right away for overnight delivery. The day after the tickets were delivered, StubHub called me and told me the buyer had misplaced the tickets and asked me to see if I could get reprints made. I reached out to see if reprints could be made and was told the reprints would be made available at the venue and that I just needed to pick them up at will call and show ID. I notified StubHub that I could get the reprints for the buyer. They then told me the buyer had not actually lost the tickets but had them sent to the wrong address and they told him to try to locate them.
Then I was contacted again by StubHub 2 days before the show, at which time they told me they could not arrange for me to meet the buyer to provide him with the reprints as it was against their policy. The concert came and went and I never picked up the reprinted tickets. About a week after the show StubHub contacted me saying the buyer had gone to the show and the tickets did not work. Apparently the buyer had been able to locate the tickets but they did not work as they were canceled when the reprints were made.
No matter how much I talked with StubHub they would not take any blame for the issue - I lost the sale of the tickets as well as StubHub penalized me approximately $250. According to them it was my fault for actually getting the reprints and causing the original tickets for getting canceled. I lost about $750 total. Whether the sale works or not, StubHub makes their money. The buyer missed the show. I lost a ton of money, and StubHub profited. I closed my account and will never do business with them again.

I decided to sell them on Ticketmaster where I was able to be notified about a potential buyer and do my end of the bargain to transfer the ticket to them just like I did. 20 days later I check my bank account and I’ve been charged 121.50 dollars from StubHub. I was only selling my ticket for 80.
Never received The 80 from the buyer who was turned away at the concert because Ticketmaster was professional enough to notify me of the potential buyer. So I never stole any money but StubHub definitely stole from me. The reps told me they put a hold on the funds but my question is why they didn’t put a hold on the ticket for us to agree. And I never received a notification. Only email. I downloaded the app to check activity on that app. Although I should’ve checked my email, StubHub should take notes. So then I get contacted by Matt through claim support and get charged $300 when the ticket was only worth $100!!! I 100% can ASSURE that it was a valid ticket. I bought it straight from Ticketmaster and I provided my confirmation receipt for it. StubHub's system is extremely faulty. After typing that into the box, I clicked back on the page, never saving that price. Ten minutes later I receive an email saying my tickets sold and that my payout was for much less than what I had them posted for. They sold for the price that I never saved.
After contacting customer service, I was told that "the prices change whether you click save or not." When I asked why there was a save button if the price saves either way, I got nothing but attitude from them. There were several excuses, none of them making sense as to why that price would save without clicking save and no confirmation. Never in my life have I dealt with such awful customer service. I waited 6 hours for the seller to transfer tickets and then called StubHub and asked if I could purchase instant download tickets instead. They said I would have to wait until 10 am the next day - the day of the event - and give StubHub the chance to find comparable seats first.
This is counter to the terms they advertise (tickets that day) and horrendous customer service. In addition to the many online stories that suggest mobile transfer is often scammed, I believe this approach sets up sellers to hunt for the highest prices for a ticket, holding out on delivery for a day. This was an entirely fixable, slow motion disaster by StubHub that they refused to resolve.

I called customer service and was told that the uploaded tickets I listed were not in the right format and they had to replace the buyer's tickets and charged me the difference for the new tickets they sold to the buyer! Why not just cancel the original sale transaction and refund the buyer their money if the ticket was not the correct format??! SCAM!!! SO not only did I lose the 170.00 for the sale but also was charged from my personal account $139.00!! Spoke with agent and supervisor who sounded like robots with no understanding or compassion! A couple weeks later I tried to download them but was able to because they had expired and were no longer valid. A phone number for the Detroit Redwings was given to call. I called and they said to call Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster said they had no record of my tickets and to call StubHub. I was then on the phone for 2 hours where I was given a variety of excuses, most of which were made up I'm sure. None of which made any sense. At the end of it I still don't have access to my tickets. Nowhere on the login does it tell me that my tickets will be available 24 hours in advance. It only tells me that they have expired or are no longer valid. Poor customer service and management. Worst service ever!

After 8 calls and many promises that the tickets would be delivered to my email, I had to file a chargeback with my credit card company. So far I have not received my funds and still no email to retrieve my tickets. I wish I had read these reviews before using their service. Save yourself the trouble and buy the tickets directly from the venue. Sometimes you pay more, sometimes you pay less but at least you get what you paid for. And the best part you do not have to call 8 times or file chargebacks because they refuse to refund you in a timely manner.

Wow. I wish I could give a zero star. I sold a ticket to a show, got the name switched over for will call and got paid from Stubhub. After switching the ticket over, I received an email that stubhub was canceling the order and charging me. So now, I'm out a ticket and the money. I provided correspondence that the ticket had been switched over and the buyer and seller had written confirmation that the ticket was switched and he was happy! They told me not to contact the buyer and that I broke their rules. THEN THE REP HUNG UP ON ME. So now I'm screwed and don't understand how I "broke their rules" - also if sellers aren't to contact buyers, why do they provide sellers with buyer contact information? I did everything right and got royally screwed. So upset. I hope people see that StubHub is a super scam and will go elsewhere for tickets.

StubHub could be a strong company if both buyers and sellers were protected against fraud. Instead, the burden of liability placed on sellers - with limit of only 48hrs to investigate and resolve any fraud claim (such as a claim that a ticket didn’t work), irrespective of whether seller at fault. Inexplicably, StubHub fails to recognize their long term viability hinges on their ability to serve two clients - both buyer and seller.
Thus sellers beware! You can easily end up on hook for both the price of your tickets and punitive damages. In my case, I resold 3 tickets I’d purchased on a reputable site. Weeks after the show, StubHub informed me the buyer claimed tickets did not work & I had 48 hrs to resolve! Didn’t matter that I was out of state, at a funeral and unable to personally investigate. StubHub refused one week extension, instead charging my credit card ~$1,000 (including $500 service fee for their trouble). At best, unprofessional and unethical business practices... Possibly illegal?

Never use StubHub... I purchased two tickets on StubHub to attend an EPL game. Upon arriving to the UK, I learned the tickets were sent to an address that wasn’t correct (even though it was registered mail and signed for by someone) as there was one letter wrong on the address. After numerous phone calls (which was a pain because I purchased the tickets on the international website but they don’t have an inbound number) and emails to StubHub they outlined it was my fault for having one letter wrong in the address and didn’t provide any alternatives, information or a refund (which by my reading of their own policy goes against it). Pretty much they outlined it was bad luck! The end result was that I paid for the tickets ($400+) and didn’t get to go to the game which was obviously very disappointing as I traveled to London just for this game!

I used Stubhub.co.uk for the first time to book tickets for my boyfriend's birthday to see Andrea Bocelli concert at the O2. When I received the electronic tickets I was concerned they were fakes as they did not look like typical O2 tickets and called StubHub to confirm. They assured me these were genuine tickets from Amex VIP and sold by an established seller. You can imagine my surprise when we turned up at the venue to be told that another couple had used the same tickets and that these had clearly been sold at least twice thereby voiding ours!
I had to purchase new tickets from the O2 and was seated in a 'crisis box' along with other victims of this type of fraudulent behavior. Apparently this is common especially for sold-out events - how can this be allowed to happen? I have filed this with incident with action against fraud and obtain a crime reference number - hopefully StubHub's fan guarantee will compensate me in full. Sellers like that should be struck off their list. This was the first and last time I will use this service. Always buy direct from the official vendor!

In reality, they didn't have any tickets and didn't deliver them at all. Moreover, they were reassuring me all the months of sending me the tickets in time, which lead us to organize a trip from Prague to Amsterdam where the concert was held. Now… I WAS about to leave a negative review on Google about my experience but reading other people’s negative experiences on Google, I saw that StubHub had been reaching out to customers and asking them to contact them via Facebook and Twitter to resolve the issue, so that’s what I did. I instant messaged StubHub on Facebook and I received a response less than 5 minutes later. I told them my situation and how the customer rep I spoke to on the phone wouldn’t help me with my order and they told me not to worry, they would apply the 10% off NBA promo code as well as my gift card and refund me the difference in charges back to my credit card. THANK YOU STUBHUB!!! I almost lost all faith in you but now I am at ease. This time I received GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Original Review: Nov. 2, 2018
I saw on the StubHub website that they were advertising a 10% off promo for NBA games so I decided to finally pull the trigger on a NBA ticket purchase. I downloaded the StubHub app, added the clutch-10 promo code at checkout, it said $20 off, I saved and checked the box to include it. Also added my $200 StubHub gift card that I received as a gift, checked that box and saved it onto my order and submitted my payment. 2 days later I check my credit card statement and I see that StubHub has charged the whole ticket purchase onto my credit card and neither the 10% off promo or my gift card balance was applied to the order.
I call the customer service phone number to let them know of my situation and the rep basically told me I was a liar and that I never added the promo code or my gift card to my order and I was out of luck, they couldn't do anything about it, all sales final. They offered to list my ticket for sale so I could get my money back with the service fees waived. They wanted me to list the tickets for $70 cheaper than what I paid total for them. I told the rep I would be LOSING money if I sold them for that price and that he just stated 10 seconds earlier that I would get my money back if I sold them on their website. You've got to be kidding me.

I had purchased tickets to a concert on September 24, 2018 but when I saw better tickets on StubHub for another date I bought them and attempted to sell my original ones online. I posted them to a few sites and when they sold on a competitor's site and took them off all of the other sites. I double checked StubHub later (to make sure I hadn't missed any of the sites) and there were no tickets listed under the "selling" section.
Months later I received a phone call and email that I needed to upload my sold tickets (a few days before the concert date but months after they supposedly “sold”). I contacted StubHub to clear up any confusion. Not only had I removed my tickets, but I also had no idea that they had ever sold there. He told me that he would be charging me 40 percent of the ticket price as a penalty but that he would contact a manager to clear up the matter. He never did. I called back and was told the same thing again. Someone left a message but debited my account before ever speaking to me. A difference in price, or the standard fee that StubHub would receive on my sold tickets would have been reasonable. StubHub had the opportunity to sell cheaper tickets, get the standard cut, then charge me almost ½ the price of my tickets.
StubHub makes more money off customers through manipulative or deliberately deceptive practices than they do through legitimate business practices. StubHub makes it deliberately difficult for users in order to make it easier to collect additional money from them. (I got no reminder emails that the tickets had sold until a week before the event. I still have not seen the selling email. Perhaps I overlooked it but I’m not certain it exists.) There are a VARIETY of buying and selling sites other than StubHub. Stub Hub may have better advertising, or a closer connection with Ticketmaster, but they are not the only reselling site. People need to be made better aware of this so that StubHub cannot continue this way.
StubHub does not value their customers. (As a repeat buyer and first time seller, I was not respected, valued or treated courteously. At no time was any effort made to work with me on my issue.) Money was debited from my account without ever having a follow-up conversation. Since these tickets were sold out instantly on the venue site, but available in great quantity on the StubHub website, your practices are already suspect. There are SO MANY other reselling sites. Don't use this one.

On the date that the tickets were promised to have arrived and still no tickets, contacted StubHub customer service who confirmed that there was no tickets shipped. Offered a better ticket for the same price of the original sale. Why would I do that since I could purchase a ticket in the same row and same section AND save over $200 PER ticket?
The tickets purchased were already great seats! Told customer service we wanted a refund instead. The agent said no problem. Now, we wait to see if the credit card of the person who made the purchase is actually refunded in 3-5 days like she said. StubHub should monitor their program better and the “person” who we were purchasing the tickets from should not be able to sell through them any longer.

I thought that this was simple/somewhat fair fix to a mistake made by StubHub. I accidentally listed tickets incorrectly on StubHub (listed them as a 2 day pass instead of just 1 day). Totally my bad, but an honest mistake. Someone purchased them, and then realized I listed them wrong. StubHub called me, we canceled her order IMMEDIATELY, and she was never charged for the tickets. StubHub told me I might be charged 40% of the total listing price as a penalty (INSANE), which worked out to about $55. I was really upset - that is a huge cost for what seemed like a small mistake. However, when all was said and done, I ended up being charged $153!!!! ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY THREE DOLLARS. What?
When I called to find out why, they told me they had to buy her the 2 day pass, even though she never paid me for the tickets & we handled everything before any transactions ever went through. I have proof from the Director of ticketing that my tickets were never scanned, they are simply taking the buyer's side. I used StubHub 3 times. First time was for BTS in Seoul. I was still in China so it was a slight hassle. I was quite worried that I would not get my tickets in time 'cause I had to go to Seoul. (The hard copies will only be sent to the original buyer a week ahead to lessen the chances to resell, so that's why). In the end I got a mail, asking to provide the address in Roman characters as I put it in Chinese. Afterwards, they recommended me to pick them up at a point near the venue because of Chinese customs taking often too long. Well, that's what I did. No issues at all and got my shipping fee back in a few days. Second time, for BTS in Seoul again, also just picked up my tickets, as it was the following day already.
Third time was a mess. Tickets for the BTS exhibition (I think you can guess by now I'm a fan of BTS). Basically, you had to show your ID and confirmation to get the actual tickets. I got the ID scan as well as the confirmation, but staff refused to give me the ticket, 'cause reselling is forbidden. Messaged StubHub, and they said I needed proof of rejection. Staff didn't want to help me, because what I did was wrong. (Fair, but too many tickets were scalped so I couldn't get one in the proper way). I told StubHub I couldn't get a proof of refusal, but they kept saying I had to in order to get the money back. They said an e-mail of a refusal of giving a proof of rejection was enough.
Well, if they don't want to help me at all, they would just ignore me anyway, is what I was thinking. I was on holiday, didn't want to spend too much time at that moment trying to get it, but before I was home and tried to e-mail them, I got my money back already. I guess Stub realized I spent over €800 on their site, so why would I suddenly make up a story about not getting in at a €22 event, rather than a €400 event. In the end, they even gave me a €22 voucher for further purchases. So although it was a hassle the last time, I'm very satisfied!

After not receiving an email I called the next day to see what the issue was and once again was told that my tickets would be delivered shortly, which they were not. I called back the next day again and after about 45 minutes they told me my tickets were no longer available but that they would provide me with replacement tickets of similar value.
At this point the tickets had gone up in price and their "same value" tickets were not even close to the same tickets that I had purchased. They kept offering tickets that they were calling comparable, which they were not. My original tickets were one section right of the 50-yard line and 8 rows back and the comparable tickets they were offering were obstructed view tickets in the same section or tickets 3 sections right of the 50-yard line and 25 rows back.
After an hour and half of arguing with them and getting nowhere I asked for a refund of my money, which I still don't know who they could have charged me in the first place if they had not secured tickets for me at the time of purchase. I ended up buying tickets on a different website and had to pay more since they were not truthful with me on the day that I first tried to "buy" tickets and did not tell me the tickets were not available. I purchased tickets to an Ed Sheeran concert back in April that is taking place tomorrow. I paid for and transferred the tickets to my Ticketmaster account in April. On Monday of this week I received an e-mail saying my tickets were “unavailable” but not to worry because replacement tickets of equal value were found. I was asked to transfer the original tickets out and accept the new ones. I did not want to do this so I called StubHub. The rep on the phone told me the tickets were entered in the computer wrong and they were invalid. I needed to accept the new tickets and return the old ones. I was still uneasy and hesitated. I received 5 voicemails the next day with threatening messages from StubHub.
One stated that they were going to charge my credit card for the new tickets as well as the existing if I did not return the originals. I called StubHub again to ask why it was such a big deal to return the originals if they were invalid. The rep asked for my Ticketmaster login info so she “could do it for me”. I immediately declined. I was then sent multiple emails and calls harassing me to return the tickets I paid for. Finally exhausted, I returned the original tickets to find out the replacement tickets are of a significantly cheaper value. I’m talking over $120 cheaper before tax or fees. StubHub claims they are a 3rd party company so they cannot guarantee my tickets or their quality. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

I bought tickets in August for an Italian Series A football match in October. I had to provide passport numbers for who would be attending and a mailing address in Italy. I did all that and received confirmation of purchase. I planned a vacation and surprise birthday present for my daughter around seeing that match. StubHub out of the blue today canceled my purchase. They said it was because they couldn't contact me. They obviously had my email to send the cancellation notice!
They said I could reinstate purchase if I contacted them. I did so within 3 hours. Initially 3 replies to email address in their notification came back as undeliverable. Then it took several tries over an hour to get an agent on the chat line. The online chat support said there was a "technical problem", a refund was coming and there was nothing they could fix. Tickets are now going for 2-3 times what I paid so I'm assuming they dropped me so they could make a bigger profit. This was a total scam! From the other posts I see that this is not an isolated incident. I would advise everyone to steer clear of this company because of their shady business practices.

Bought 2 tickets to a football game. Card was charged and I was told the exact seats. Got an email saying the seller would email instructions on how to download them. Never got it. A phone call and 2 emails later, StubHub says the seller can’t be contacted, my order is cancelled and my card credited. Customer service says “it’s in the terms and conditions” but they lead you to believe upfront that they’ll provide equal or better tickets. The kicker was, the day after they canceled my order, I got a marketing email from StubHub offering tickets to that same game! Fool me once, shame on you. StubHub won’t get another chance to fool me twice.

On July 27, 2018 I purchased 4 tickets for an Alison Krauss Anniversary Concert held at the Tennessee Theater. An investment of $823 to surprise two husbands & celebrate two anniversaries. My credit card was charged. I was emailed exact seat numbers & row. Then, 5 days before the concert, Stub Hub called me to tell me the ticket vendor who I purchased my tickets from was unable to get the tickets from the Tennessee Theater. So they will be reimbursing my money.
There were no tickets available to give my party of 4. So... although I planned & purchased my gift tickets the first couple of days ticket sales began, we are without tickets for the Anniversary gifts for our husbands. Stub Hub's "100% Guaranteed...Because 99% Guaranteed just sounds sketchy" slogan is exactly THAT... Sketchy! Buyer Beware! Who the hell wants a refund the day before a concert! These guys are jokers. I am flying across the world for this concert and they won't give me a refund. Other sites have instant download options for this concert but I have to wait until the last minute to know if I am going or not. Other sites are cheaper too! I really regret going with Stubhub. Purchased a StubHub e-gift card as a birthday present for my little sister last night. Paid online, received my confirmation email from StubHub, received alert from my credit card company that I had been charged for the purchase. All good, right? No, not all good. In fact, it has been a total disaster thanks to StubHub. Awoke this morning to find an auto-generated email from StubHub saying they canceled my order. No explanation nor forewarning.
Have had a StubHub account for years and it contains all of my current contact information, but StubHub never bothered to reach out and confirm that I had, in fact, authorized a legitimate purchase before they canceled it (after I had already been billed for the transaction). The automated cancellation email from StubHub provided no contact number, no reason for the cancellation (other than a blanket reference to "security") and no indication of how long it will take for my money to be refunded to my credit card. Meanwhile, I am out the money and I have no gift card to show for it.
After I finally tracked down a contact number through my own research (i.e., Google search) and phoned StubHub, the situation simply went from bad to worse. One rep just refers you to another rep, another number to call. You call the other number and they refer you back to the original number you called. I was told four (4) hours ago that someone from StubHub would contact me about the issue. As you can probably guess, I am still waiting for that call. Safe to assume I'll never hear from StubHub as they seem incapable of dialing a phone.
Anyway, total runaround from StubHub. Customer service is abysmal and borderline nonexistent. Reps are clueless. They can apologize for the inconvenience STUBHUB HAS CAUSED and that's pretty much the extent of their "assistance." I will file a dispute with my credit card company since I don't think StubHub can be trusted to return my money since they have failed to provide an ETA regarding a full refund. Never again with StubHub. They do not take responsibility nor assume accountability for the problems they create. BUYER BEWARE!

I was nice and asked to speak to a manager, but all the employees at StubHub do is read from a book and repeat the same thing over and over.
So basically, my only options were to go to the soccer game, which I don't even like soccer, try to sell my tickets (which no one is going to buy over $100 worth of soccer tickets to a game that isn't sold out) or lose my money... which I did. Tried to dispute the charge with my bank, however StubHub denied my claim, stating that "they tried to help me sell my tickets". Seriously, will never purchase from this site again. When StubHub was notified via telephone, they indicated if the school itself considered these obstructed view tickets, then a refund would in fact be issued. Not sure how much more verification you need if the information is clearly listed on the University of NE athletics page. I requested an immediate refund so I could purchase tickets in a different area and was told I'd be contacted once the case if reviewed. They said to send them back and they gave me four tickets in a better spot that cost about $700 per ticket which they did not make me pay for. So far, so good. The tickets were due to arrive by UPS on 8/28.
On 8/29, I called CS and was told the seller reneged and they were refunding my money since no groups of four were left. I said I want tickets not money, and I checked different days and found them. After numerous calls and different people, I was finally allowed to get a swap for tickets on 9/6 that were not as good as either sets of tickets which I tried to buy. There were four tickets available on 9/6 in an almost identical location and price as the replacement tickets (the ones that were reneged upon), but I was told over and over that StubHub's policy is to only replace tickets if available the same day.

I would give StubHub negative stars if that was an option. They are an online scam that charges extraordinarily high surcharge fees for any activities. This review is based on my attempt to resell a ticket on their website which I had initially purchased from them. I had bought 3 soccer game tickets for my daughter, husband and me. My daughter is a sophomore soccer player and my husband a soccer coach so this event was intended to be a birthday gift to these August babies. It turns out that we had a conflict so I tried to resell the tickets back on StubHub.
First, they suggested that I sell the tickets at $100 each. I initially paid $388 for each Coaches Club ticket so that suggestion was absurd and a poor attempt at online robbery. I decided to sell them at $325 but I would receive less than that given the additional surcharge StubHub charges for the resale. I unexpectedly sold only 1 ticket and was concerned that we would be left with only 1 ticket so I took the last 2 tickets off the market at the last minute and we rearranged our personal schedules to attend the game. When we went to the stadium, the agent scanned the ticket from my phone and I even asked my husband how do they know which ticket to not scan? A week later, a rude StubHub representative called me to tell me that it was my fault for not scanning the correct ticket so they are charging me for the full ticket and an ADDITIONAL $70 penalty fee. In essence, I paid $500 for a ticket that was not used by my daughter.
I asked to speak with a StubHub manager, and she told me that there was not one available. I then told the StubHub representative that their online system is very flawed if they did not disable the ticket I sold and they allowed more than one person to have the same seat scanned. It is not my fault that the stadium agent scanned the wrong ticket from my phone.
My lesson is to never use StubHub ever again, and I want to publicize what an online scam they are. The representative refused to tell me her name, and she was arguing with me online. She was being extremely vindictive and it is not fair to a retail consumer like me to be yelled at online and then robbed from my account since they have access to my personal information including my credit card. This is online robbery that must be investigated as soon as possible, and there must be a stop to this. I will dispute this charge and refuse to pay for a mistake that is not mine.

I sold two Hollywood Bowl tickets that I personally purchased at their box office, photographed them and uploaded them as mobile tickets. They sold. I never received payment and then 5 days later was informed the tickets were bad and that I'd be charged. As they require you to disclose your account information, this money has been auto-debited out of my account. In the meantime, I've asked Hollywood Bowl to research the barcodes on the tickets -- whether they were in fact used. This is my first time using StubHub as a buyer or seller but likely my last. Unless Hollywood Bowl tracks this kind of thing, I apparently have no recourse. I don't know what keeps people from "gaming" the system but I know those were good tickets!

Hamilton Tickets New York. Purchased tickets for the first mezzanine. Asked if this was the first row and she said yes. Also asked if she’d been to that theater Richard Rodgers in New York City and she said no. Apparently they have call centers and she was not familiar with the seating chart. I had the last row in the mezzanine. I had to sit it on the edge of my seat for 2 1/2 hours of the play. I am 74 years old and that’s not the way to enjoy. I could not see the stage. I requested some reimbursement for that situation and they said they reviewed the phone call even though I confirm that she stated these were the front row of the mezzanine. By my saying I agreed to the purchase. That’s the way they have their out.
They offered a 20% discount at any future purchases of tickets for one year. I do not go to plays in town or out of town. This was a visit with my son. It was terrible. I called, explained my feelings about it and explain that it was misrepresented on the phone and they get you by saying you agree not knowing that it was given incorrectly. I would advise you to listen very carefully to your ticket selection and to not agree unless you are absolutely sure of the location. I will never use them again.

I was visiting in Cincinnati and bought eTickets via StubHub that were supposed to be emailed to me by the date I bought them for a FC Cincinnati game the next day. I opened a chat with StubHub and they immediately got in touch with me and tried to contact the seller who did not answer. They assured me if I didn’t have the tickets in my inbox by noon the next day (day of game) I would get a full refund or equally acceptable tickets provided by them from their guarantee. I was worried and nervous. Still no tickets by noon the next day so I opened another online chat and immediately, the StubHub rep apologized to me, could not get in contact with the seller of the tickets (he/she would not answer the calls), and so the StubHub rep offered me 2 options - a full refund, or comparable tickets.
Since I wanted to go to the game I first asked to see the comparable tickets. Within minutes I was offered center field, better-valued tickets than I had purchased (I had bought 3rd-row sideline, these were center field, row 31 - about a 10 dollar difference in price). I took these and these were delivered instantly to my inbox. Throughout the conversation I was always given many apologies from the StubHub group. I would give this a 5 had my original seller not fallen through as I still had to go through the stress of ‘no tickets’ originally. But I wanted to write the review to provide proof that there are no issues with the 100% guarantee! Thanks StubHub.

I recently used StubHub for the first time to list two tickets that I was desperately trying to sell. When I had no hits, I even tried using Vivid Seats. I didn't end up selling the tickets so I ended up going to the game. A day after, I noticed a charge on my credit card bill from StubHub. Confused, I called them and they told me that the tickets had sold - I checked online and indeed they had. Unbeknownst to me, they had sold two weeks prior to the game. I HAD NO IDEA! I never received an email from StubHub, although they said they emailed me. They mentioned that they tried to reach out but I never once received an email or a call - my email, phone number, and even my personal address is on there. I felt terrible for the person who had bought the tickets, and if I had known that the tickets sold, I would have definitely transferred the tickets immediately.
StubHub went on to say that it was my fault for not monitoring the site - even though I had logged on and did not receive any notification or alert that my tickets sold. I spoke with SAMANTHA and CURTIS on August 1st, 2018. Both were very rude, and had attitude problems, and needless to say - very unhelpful. They told me it was my fault and that they would not reimburse me for the charge, even though I did not receive any email or any alert from them that my tickets sold. Needless to say, I will not be using StubHub again. ZERO STARS. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AS A FIRST TIME CUSTOMER.

They did not pay me the amount for 2 tickets I sold, and the only explanation I receive was that I had a penalty of previous cancelled sell, for which I was never notified. The cancelled sell I had to cancel it via mail because their international website had a glitch that did not allow me to pause or stop the advertising of the tickets. To my email they only told that they will find different tickets for the customer, but that was all the communication.
Two months later I was waiting for the payment of the tickets I sold, but they just said you will not receive payment because previous penalization, but to the date I have no notification of any penalties or the amount I supposedly owe. So, they just charged me x amount of money the day they have to pay me other sell, for the exact amount they have to pay me that day. All of this, without a single notification. Do not use them, the is another company that have lower prices for buyers and pays the sellers without delay after the even so VIA GO GO there instead for selling or buying.

I uploaded 2 .jpg tickets to Zac Brown concert at Citi Field Flushing New York the morning of the event and 9 hours before the event was to start. I have several emails and acknowledgment from StubHub that my tickets were accepted later on that they were sold and later on that the tickets were given to the buyer. Approximately 10 hours later and 30 minutes after the event that started I received a cancellation from StubHub stating my ticket images were improperly uploaded?
I was not offered any compensation. I contacted customer service after waiting an hour on hold and was told there was nothing I could do is that the fine print clearly stated they had to be uploaded a certain way. I informed the customer service rep that my images were accepted hours later they were purchased and hours later they were transferred to the buyer. Had I known this in the morning I could have easily uploaded the correct version or whatever version they were looking for?
Any other public site that requires images to be uploaded will reject them if they're not proper. Not only am I stuck with two tickets that cost me $577 I'm out to 300 plus dollars they were sold for on StubHub and offered no compensation. I could have easily corrected the problem long before the event started or sold them elsewhere. Not only am I left holding the bag but I was told by the customer service rep that the buyers were left stranded outside the event and unable to get in with their printed copies.
This is a company that specializes in re-sales of Concert and Event tickets and there is no better method to verify proper ticket upload? If I were to upload a picture to print at the local Walgreens, it would kick it back if it was improper so you can't tell me they don't have software for this when this is all that they do? Here I am now two hours after the event started, left with nothing, no apology and "too bad you can't even speak to a supervisor " and then I was hung up on. How could you possibly run a business like this?

I spoke to a supervisor who came out guns blazing before I could even explain the issue. She told me the USD pricing is noted on the front page when you're first looking at tickets. I confirmed this and said, "Yes it is, but in small writing." Why is it not on the receipt? She could not answer that. And when I explained how shocked I was to see an extra $100 charge on my credit card because they neglect to put USD on their receipts or warn customers of the exchange costs, she was fake and told me, "I'm sorry you can't read." She offered no help, no refund. I will never purchase tickets from this site ever again.

An absolute nightmare. StubHub has a terrible website function and has cost me hundreds of dollars in lost work time and ticket sales owing to poor customer service and glitches in their system. I would absolutely never list tickets here again. I had several NFL tickets to sell for the 2018 season. At first the site erred in listing only ONE ticket for sale, although I had listed two tickets for six games, using the electronic bar codes. I discovered that error purely by accident, but it cost me money in lost sales. They told me to relist. I did, and then they removed the listings as ALREADY LISTED.
We tried again. It appeared the tickets were listed. Except they were not. No, after two weeks StubHub arbitrarily UNLISTED the tickets, and DID NOT INFORM ME OF THIS. Yet more money lost. I called to try to resolve the problem. No luck. The StubHub customer service rep was snippy, nasty, and condescending. And, ultimately, she could not solve the problem. She was going to punt it up to their "technical support" team to resolve "within 24 hours." NFL tickets cost thousands of dollars. Because of the absolute incompetency of StubHub, I lost many opportunities for sales, and spent an entire morning--actually more than one--trying to resolve the problem. And they couldn't even SOLVE THEIR OWN TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY! LIst ANYWHERE but StubHub. And DEBACLE in online ticket sales.

There is no reason for "service" fees to be so high. I spoke with an agent and he basically said if the ticket is in demand, the fees are higher. So it's a nice big fat cash grab for StubHub. They are obviously extremely greedy. They know suckers will pay if the act is in demand. I was close to cancelling, but I promised my son we'd see the show. I'm done with StubHub.

I tried StubHub to buy tickets for concerts for me and my family. I thought it worked well and I had great experiences. That was ten years ago. Fast forward to today: I was "window shopping" for tickets for a concert in another state as a surprise for my son. The two day concerts, same venue and band, were not sold out on the band's site. So I was looking around to see what was available. I X-ed out of the StubHub website and immediately saw an email from StubHub "Congrats! You purchased the tickets?" WHAT?! So I immediately live chatted SH Customer Service. The rep asked me how I was looking -- using phone app? Computer? She said "depending on how you were looking at the website, I can help you".
I figured they must have issues with their apps, but I was honest and told the truth: I had been looking at the site on my home computer/desktop. But I had NO idea how something I had been only looking at became a PURCHASED item? (I was not even sure at that point my son could go). She then said "So here's what I can do! I can re-list those for you!" I went around and around with her... questioned why she asked me what method I was looking at the website… Nada. No use. Nothing they could do and nothing I could do. I was stuck with the tickets that I was not even sure I could use and that I KNOW I did NOT PURCHASE. Confused, I accepted the fact that I had the tickets and I told my son-- who was beyond excited.
So, night two of the said concert and I texted my son to send me a picture of him and his friends at the show. He texted back that he was having a blast but "the tickets he received in the mail did not work". I asked him what he meant and how he got into the show. He told me that upon being scanned the tickets read on the scanner "STOP. VOID! SHORT BAR CODE". 1. I was mad that he had not told me that so I could call StubHub and raise holy heck (the tickets were over $100 EACH) and 2. I was so angry that I had not even WANTED these tickets and now there was a major problem with them and my son had to get in without being able to see them!
I immediately live chatted STUBHUB because it was almost midnight Sunday and offices were closed. The rep said they would need to talk to me on the phone. She said someone would call me within 24 hours. 24 hours came and went. I was determined to see how long it would take for someone to call me back. It is now Tuesday and I just received an email asking me to complete a form saying the tickets I received were not able to be used. I am beyond disappointed. My experiences back in 2009, 2011, etc were so good and now this happened and... reading here all the other similar stories, it makes me sad and angry. But, smarter too! I won't use StubHub again. Too risky and not a good enough site. BUYER BEWARE!!!

DO NOT ORDER FROM STUBHUB!!! It's my fault for confirming the order when I had doubts while placing it, I own my part but the way the tickets were worded read Parking Passes Only Willie Nelson Tickets, the price would be the cost of both and it listed 1 under tickets that read GA (did not read Parking). I assumed it was for General Admission. The seller knew what they were doing when posting the tickets! StubHub does not do refunds or cancellation of orders so my complaints fell on deaf ears but to top it off by adding insult to injury the manager (NOT IN THE USA) who took over the call told me she wouldn’t have made that mistake because she is careful with her money. Thank you StubHub for taking my money and insulting my intelligence! Your seller knew what they were doing when posting the tickets as they did. This will be my last time using this service and I will make sure to warn people about placing orders with your company.
The site is not transparent, sellers can mislead with wording and the “Chat Now” button on their email goes to a Q&A page, not live chat, with no contact info for StubHub! It takes digging into the site to find a phone number to call and you are transferred to another country where they apologize and tell you how sorry they are and understand the issue but they won't help. READ THE FINE PRINT, DO NOT USE!

I purchased some tickets for a concert at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto. Obviously, they were re-sale tickets of some kind and had the original purchaser's name on them but apparently that is not unusual. As the security person scanned the tickets at the venue's gate, the scanner alerted us that these were fake tickets or at least invalid! You can imagine the irritation and disappointment. So why am I giving StubHub a positive review? Simply because of their "FanProtect" 100% money back guarantee.
The following day I called them and after a brief questioning period, conducted by a very polite and attentive StubHub representative, they fully refunded my money with no hassle. I was impressed with their customer service and the fact they clearly take that money back guarantee and their reputation seriously. Realistically, this is the risk you take with re-sale tickets but I can honestly say that StubHub may not guarantee the validity of your tickets but they do guarantee your money. I should also say I used them at least once before this incident and had no problem with the tickets on that occasion. If you are leery about StubHub tickets, maybe just bring some extra cash and look for a scalper in case your tickets are rejected. That way you can at least see the show and rest easy because StubHub will refund you.

I had to dig to find a phone number to call and straighten it out, prove that the tickets were delivered, (which the Stub Hub representative confirmed with UPS), and then updated my account to show them delivered. Now, I wait another 3-7 days before the money is in my account. Makes me think they are playing the "float" with the buyers money before they release it to the seller. Please think twice before you sell tickets with StubHub. I am working on a lawsuit and would like to make it a class action lawsuit for the thousands of people who have tried to sell tickets and been charged hidden/ridiculous fees. My mother fell ill on the day of an event that she was attending and asked if I could help sell her tickets. I put her tickets up on StubHub with an option to mobile upload them. The instructions tell you to capture a photo of the entire ticket and then upload them directly on the site, which is what I did. The site said the tickets uploaded successfully. Within 30 minutes I received an e-mail that my tickets were sold. I called StubHub customer care directly to be sure that the tickets uploaded properly and were going to be valid for use.
I was told that the mobile upload option doesn't work like that (even though the site clearly gave me instructions and allowed me to upload the tickets). So I told the representative to cancel the transaction because I only have hard copies of the tickets. I asked what my options were and she said that I could try taking them to will call but they needed to contact the buyer first to get approval. After an hour on the phone with customer support, I was told that they couldn't do anything to help me and they would be charging me 40% of my list price for tickets that weren't even sold. I demanded a manager and was denied very rudely and then hung up on. I called back and spoke to a representative named Kathy who said she was communicating with a manager to get my problem resolved.
They proceeded to tell me that I never uploaded the tickets, which was false because I took screen shots. After 2 1/2 hours of being put on hold and rude representatives, I was finally told that the issue was resolved and given a service request number which was supposed to have all of the notes, stating that I wouldn't have to pay the fee.
Two days later, I received an email stating that I had to pay them $810 + $405 in fees because the buyer could not get into the venue. WHAT??!! I never sold the tickets. The transaction was cancelled!!! I spoke to someone named Matt in Marketplace investigations who was very rude! Did nothing to try to help even though I gave him the service request number. He even confirmed that he saw notes that I wasn't supposed to be charged, but said the other manager was wrong and I am going to be charged anyway. I will be getting an attorney. DO NOT trust this company or service. They are deceitful, money hungry, and have terrible customer service! You will regret doing business with StubHub!

A few day later I see in my email the ticket sold within hours when it was not even suppose to be on StubHub. Called and chatted with several agents and they all were very rude and did not want to rectify the problem. Basically said they could waive the fee but it is what it is and they are charging me $600 because the listing was posted. One of the guys asked me to list his four seats for the Fourth of July as he was unable to attend. I listed his tickets on June 12, 2018. This was first time I had ever tried to sell tickets on StubHub. Heath keeps his tickets in a bank in a deposit box in Nacogdoches, TX. I live in Henderson, TX. 45 miles away. They said I did not send barcodes for the tickets. On June 14, 2018 they said I relisted the tickets. If I did, it was inadvertent. I was unable to give them the barcodes because I didn't have possession of the tickets. On June 26, I received an email stating that the tickets had sold and they had the barcodes. Keep in mind, they are still in safety deposit box some 45 miles from me. July 1, 2018 I received another email saying my tickets had sold and they needed barcodes. I thought they were talking about the first sale.
I phoned Heath and he said he would go to the bank and send me barcodes. July 2, 2018 he sent me email with pictures of the tickets. I tried to enter them on StubHub and was informed that the tickets had already been sold and that I would be charged 40% for not being able to deliver the tickets. I told them I was not trying to defraud them, just wasn't sure of what to do. 10 seconds after hanging up my American Express card was charged $356.40. 10 days later I have still not received payment for the tickets, $651.60.
I have tried 3 times to get them to refund the 40% and to pay me for sale of tickets. They are saying I gave them bar codes on the June 26th, yet I didn't see tickets until July 2. I have canceled my StubHub account and will never use them again. #1 Why would I want to list the tickets twice? #2 Why would their system allow someone to list tickets twice? #3 Why would they sell the same tickets twice? Sounds like something dishonest is going on in their business model.

If I could give zero stars I would & like a few others, set up this account for no other reason than to explain the horrible experience I had with StubHub. Back in May, I was trying to purchase James Taylor tickets (4) as a birthday present for my sister. After looking at many different sites, including the one my friend used last year for the same tickets, I decided to go with StubHub because of their name alone. Didn't know of the other company & was a little nervous using them. My mistake! The first problem was I had to make 2 separate purchases for lawn seats (1 ticket, 3 tickets). I paid for them both & was sent a confirmation email on both orders stating that the tickets would be in hand by Friday, June 29th. In my opinion, with the concert being July 3rd, that was cutting it close.
The morning of the 29th, I received an email from StubHub, stating that the 1 ticket order was on its way & I'd have it via UPS by 8:00 pm that evening. No tracking #, no information on the other 3 tickets but since that was a separate transaction, I figured I'd get another email. By mid-afternoon, I had not received an email about the other tickets so I went onto their chat. Spoke to someone who assured me that they would be there, but if not, they would look on site to find other tickets. But ONLY after reaching out to the seller to see what was going on.
Saturday, late morning, nothing. No tickets, no emails, no information from StubHub. I got back on chat & spoke to a person who said that yes, they were still trying to reach the seller. I pointed out the very obvious fact that IF the seller had fulfilled his obligation, I'd have my tickets. However, since that day had come & went, it was obvious I wasn't going to receive them, could they please replace the tickets. Because, according to their "fan guarantee" one thing they say is "We go out of our way to find replacement tickets if there is an issue with your order." - Yeah, THAT isn't true!! I hopped onto their site only to see that yes, there WERE tickets still available. However, they don't want you to have them because then THEY are out $$. So what did they do? They waited till Sunday - no tickets, have to offer a refund.
So 2 people who had to take (unpaid) days off tomorrow AND my sister's birthday present? Who cares, they aren't losing money. So yes, it's going to be my mission to get this out to as many people as possible because StubHub, in my humble opinion, sucks. No customer service to speak of. And no, I don't feel like telling me "we understand your frustration & will refund your money" is good customer service. "We understand your frustration & let us offer you these tickets" would have been fine with me.

When you purchase tickets on StubHub you can click on various options and an arrow displaying the price hovers above the section you are purchasing. So I purchased tickets and several days later received tickets in a completely different section than was displayed on the screen. I called StubHub and the first person I talked to said she saw that this happened and assured me they would fix the situation. Later I received a second call stating they would not fix anything and the tix I received were the tix I purchased. I filled out a Better Business Bureau complaint and then received calls from the executive team with whom I played phone tag for two weeks.
They then told me they would put my tickets up for sale and give me a $200 credit on my account. Sounds great, only the tickets will likely NOT sell since there are so many other better seats available. So I would have NO guarantee that my tix would sell. The total of my purchase was $424. So if they didn't sell, I would be out $224 AND still have to purchase additional tix. The person I spoke with was getting frustrated because I'm not willing to let a company that rips people off for millions per year make me think they're giving me some great deal. Consumers beware! I made this account solely so I can share my appalling experience with Stubhub. I purchased some concert tickets and ended up having one extra. I thought might as well sell this and make a few extra dollars. To my dismay, I found out the venue would be doing a delay release (4 hours before the event). I was in contact with Stubhub through the hours leading up to the concert. They assured me that they were having the same issue with other customers and that they were aware of the venue’s policy. Two hours before the concert I received an email notifying me that the order was canceled despite having spoken with a Stubhub employee 20 minutes before the cancelation who also assured me “they would take care of it”.
One week later I received another email saying that I owed Stubhub a cancellation fee. I immediately contacted Stubhub and asked them why I was charged when they knew the venue was the issue. They explained it was because I did not deliver the tickets on time. I repeated back to them that they knew (because they had on file) the venue delivered them late. If it were up to me, I would have uploaded those tickets as soon as I was able. However, this was out of my control.
Stubhub decided to do a 50% price reduction on my fee as a “courtesy”. I explained to them that since there was proof of the venue being the issue, they should waive the entire fee because even a 50% reduction is far too much. Especially considering it was not in any way my fault. After having multiple conversations about this issue, I realized that all Stubhub employees respond with the same robotic answer. There is no reasoning with this company. They take their profits from the buyer and seller, and do not care about anything else. Stubhub does not care about their customers.

I had to select a star, otherwise I’d give zero!!! Horrible company. Purchased tickets ($1,000) was told it would be in my third party account! I had to download a third party app, Red flag #1! Confirmation email from StubHub said tickets would be in my third party account same day. Anxiously awaited as I was already nervous about the whole transaction. Of course my money was taken immediately but no tickets. Next day checked. Still no tickets! Called StubHub customer service line and they told me even though my email gave a date my tickets would be available (again, third party app!) that the seller had 24 more hours to deliver! What? Where in my email does it state that?!
Representative said it doesn’t state that but there is nothing they can do until after 24 hours after mentioned delivery date? How does this make me feel comfortable? StubHub took my money faster than my confirmation email arrived! I called after mentioned date but within 24 hours to get a refund. No longer able to make the event. StubHub said there is nothing they can do. Wow, I feel terrific! Great job StubHub... Great customer service. Rep had the audacity to ask if I would like StubHub to sell my tickets???? Seriously? **! Definitely do not recommend!!! Wish I had read the reviews before using StubHub! All 1 Star ratings... All dissatisfied customers. Shame on you STUBHUB!!!

I had my first experience of trying to sell some tickets last minute on StubHub. They give you three options, phone, mobile tickets, PDF. I had hard tickets to sell and there was no indication there was a problem with selling hard tickets. I took a picture of each of them separately, listing went through and someone bought them only to find out that they were not approved at the venue. I then lost my money on the sale and was charged a $175 seller fee for my mistake. How hard is it to just put "You cannot sell hard tickets this close to the date of the venue." How about keep your normal Hard ticket option and just put a landing page there. It would be so easy to add a sentence to the listing page to warn sellers. Put UPS or LAST Minute Services on that page. So easy but yet they made out just fine, gouging me for $175!

Buyer beware of StubHub! Please do not purchase from them! I recently purchased 4 floor tickets for a music festival, but they shipped me incorrect tickets (non-floor seats) less than 3 days before the show. After several customer service calls, my options were to 1) refund & cancel the tickets for the sold-out show or 2) accept my worse tickets with the price that I paid for floor seats. Not to mention the flights and hotels that I already purchased for the show. I was a long-time StubHub user but will never be using them again! Please beware that their “FanProtect Guarantee” does not protect you from receiving the wrong tickets! The saddest part is that StubHub is owned by eBay, which did $2.2 Billion in PROFIT in 2017. But they were unwilling to spend any money on a 12-year customer to fix their mistake.

Buyer Beware! If they get a better offer they cancel your tickets that you ordered and paid for 2 months ago. My daughter purchased Pearl Jam tickets 2 months ago in Boston to get great seats for her boyfriend's birthday back in May, she purchased Section A4 Row 22 and paid over $3,000 for them. This morning I received a call from StubHub saying the tickets are no longer valid. They didn't do anything to help relocate other than what they had available on their Website which was off to the side which was not acceptable. They did nothing I mean nothing to help her out, their attitude is, "Oh well. The seller reneged."
So now after buying Airline Tickets for this Concert in Boston with front & center tickets gone needless to say I would not recommend purchasing tickets on this site. Imagine giving these phenomenal tickets for a Birthday gift to someone special only to receive a call from StubHub 2 months later to say your tickets are no longer valid, did I mention these tickets were paid in full. Over $3,000 I guess they got a better offer. My daughter is extremely upset as the Birthday experience is now ruined. Not who I will do business with again. This could happen to you. I have had more luck with Vividseats.com.

I sold tickets to the Washington Capitals Stanley Cup game on StubHub on May 5th. On May 8th, my two boys told me they really wanted to go so I notified StubHub I did not want to deliver the tickets. Prices were significantly lower then. For 3 weeks StubHub delayed taking action despite repeated phone calls from me (they were waiting to see if the Caps would even be in the Stanley Cup). Once the Capitals won in the earlier rounds, prices went way up and StubHub finally replaced the tickets to the buyer.
Because of the delays, StubHub agreed to charge me "only" 40% of the original sale (or a fee of $1600). I called, again, to complain about this exorbitant amount and the supervisor offered to charge me only half of that ($800). The StubHub supervisor suggested I relist the tickets on StubHub given the high prices and then buy cheaper seats for my sons, in order to be able to make the $800 back in profit from selling the seats. HOWEVER, the CAPS WON!! There was no game 6 -- no home game #3 -- and no tickets as the game does not exist. Yet StubHub is still charging me an $800 fee. I am a retired single mom and called them yet again to see if they could waive this appalling charge. They refuse to waive the fee despite the fact there was no game! I have zero recourse and NEED YOUR HELP to get that money back.

Buyer beware!!! This is the first and last time I will ever use StubHub. I purchased tickets to Hamilton in NYC. The ticket prices were high, which is typical, but in comparison to Ticketmaster, the StubHub website shows you the view from the seats you are looking at. I was going back and forth between the two sites, I found comparable tickets on both sites, but the ones on Stub Hub were about $10 cheaper. I added them to my cart, and the next thing I knew they were purchased and there was a $125 Service Fee Per Ticket. You cannot review your purchase before you click to purchase, and the service fees appeared after I let them have my credit card information.
I called Customer Service to ask what the fee was for, which is basically their profit after the seller sells their tickets and re-coups their money. They keep the tickets in the site for you to download when you are ready, so there is no "service" there is no UPS delivery or mail so basically I just paid $500 more for tickets than I had to. They were completely unsympathetic when I called them and I will never use them again.

SELLERS BEWARE!!! This was the first time and last time that I use StubHub. I sold some tickets on their website (3 tickets to be accurate) and I get an email a week later saying that one of my tickets was invalid, and that they were trying to charge me triple the amount that I had sold it for. I called their investigation team and we had a conference call where we called the original supplier of the ticket and they confirmed that the ticket was scanned successfully and that it was later re-scanned (a few mins later) and then buyer claimed they couldn't get in when the buyer duplicated the ticket and tried to get someone else in. So now I'm being charged for someone else committing fraud.
So StubHub decides to charge the seller for something that the buyer did. When I asked if I went and bought a ticket from their website and made a 2nd copy and hand it to a friend to get in and then claim I couldn't get in, then they would refund my money and they couldn't answer me. I told them that I would make sure to tell everyone I know to buy tickets from them and make a 2nd copy. That way a buddy gets in for free and so do you and you get your money refunded back. They responded with, "No we don't want you telling people that." In other words yes that would work. I am disgusted with the way this company conducts business and will never be using them again. They ended with that is the risk you take by selling your ticket in an 2nd type marketplace.

I was on StubHub on my work computer on my break buying tickets to CMA fest, found the tickets I wanted and put them in my cart. Went to check out and the site would not let me sign into my account to buy the tickets I wanted because my password was incorrect. It would not let me change my password from my work computer so I got the email on my phone that prompted me to change my password, changed the password which allowed me into my account, right to the check out page (302 pm), great. Clicked order, get to the confirmation page and the ticket is now a different section and price (the ticket I had in my cart were more expensive but I didn't care because I wanted to sit with my friends. I immediately called StubHub (303 pm) and got a guy who told me there was nothing he could do because they are a "marketplace".
I asked to speak with a supervisor who told me the same thing - there is nothing she could do. But after I explained my story again she said she would "pull some strings" and have the technical team look into it for me. WHILE STILL ON THE PHONE WITH THIS LADY I get an email from StubHub (320 pm) - "we are really sorry there was a problem with your order. We want to make it better. If you relist your tickets we'll waive your fees." HA what?! I'm still on the phone with the supervisor. (If I decide to sell my tickets StubHub would still get the service fee from the next buyer for their website's mistake PLUS I now need to buy another ticket and HOPE the ticket I don't want sells...)
The lady come back on the phone (323 pm) and tells me the tech department did not see a problem with the order and she will gladly list my ticket for sale for me. I then asked her if she thinks I'm a liar, she wouldn't answer the question but kept telling me how easy selling the ticket was going to be. I told her the concert is tomorrow and there are many tickets for sale. She kept ignoring me and just kept telling me I can sell the tickets for what I paid for (which would make it the most expensive ticket by over a hundred dollars in that area). I kept trying to plead my case and was getting nowhere so I finally caved and said to allow her to list my ticket.
She comes back on the phone and stated she needed my bank account information because when selling tickets you need a bank account or prepaid credit card on file, so of course I asked why and she stated, “Because you are the seller and need to guarantee the ticket is real”. So I said I just bought the ticket and it's at will call... She said there was no way around it because the computer wouldn't let her list it without a card on file. So I gave her my account number. Now my tickets are on sale for $637 (what I paid for them after fees and taxes) which again makes it the most expensive ticket it the area (Before tax and fees the ticket was 529).
I told her I was not happy and the concert is tomorrow - her response was, “There was 5000 people looking at this event now so your chances of selling the tickets are high”. Then she stated she will ask the tech department to do a more extensive review of the sale but it can take 72 hours. I again explained the concert is tomorrow. She told me there was nothing else she could do for me. I will never use StubHub to buy tickets again and can't believe they get away with things like this. They are crooks.

A couple of year ago I bought a ticket to an NFL playoff game. I put the ticket up for sale later on StubHub. I was eventually able to sell the ticket to someone outside of StubHub, so I immediately cancelled my listing on StubHub. A few days later, I get an email from StubHub saying someone bought my ticket. I found this very surprising since I had already cancelled my listing on their site. I called StubHub to find out what was going on. They told me that since the tickets were no longer available, I owed them the ticket price plus a ridiculous fee on top of that.
I told them I had cancelled the listing days earlier. The rep said they had no record of the cancellation, but luckily I had the insight to take screenshots of my cancellation so I sent the screenshot to her and she told me that they would "investigate" it. I get a call 2 hours later after their technical team did see that I indeed cancelled my listing so I was off the hook. Even though things turned out well, after this experience, which was my first experience with StubHub, I'll never use them again. They are either disorganized or unethical in their practices. Even though it was a hassle and mild inconvenience for me, I think how much of an inconvenience it must have been for the person who bought my ticket not knowing it was no longer available. But when I went to get my refund I was told StubHub did not upload all the information that was needed for a refund via their side to Stetson and that they were unable to locate my tickets. We still left for we all had work the next morning. When talking to a member of StubHub I was told I would be unable to get my refund for the game wasn't completely cancelled.
I understand that however, if they had uploaded all the information that they were supposed to the system I would be able to get a refund. So I am very disappointed with this system for they are sneaky not to show all their paperwork so that they can corruptly take your money. I will never be buying from StubHub ever again. This is because the listing was not clearly listed. I tried to cancel the order immediately, but StubHub would not let me, instead asking me to try to sell them on their site where they would be able to charge someone another $21 fee if someone purchased them.
Needless to say, I did not sell the tickets (even though the agent claimed that there would be high probability that I would), and StubHub would not reimburse me, so I'm out $81. I really feel like I got scammed by the seller of the parking passes, and StubHub. And immediately after printing them we realized that they were wheelchair accessible seats and that we could be refused entry if we weren’t disabled. We contacted StubHub immediately and were basically told that we should have read the description and they could not refund them. The only thing we can do is try to resell them but it would be hard since they are wheelchair accessible. What they should have done is make that right and refund the tickets because it was an obvious human error.
Now our only choice is to try and resell them in the same fashion and hope someone else either is actually in need of wheelchair access ticketed or that they make the same mistake? This feels very unethical to me but now I need to recover the most money for my daughter’s birthday gift or she gets nothing. I posted a similar post as this on a forum on StubHub and it was removed and I was sent a private message that they can’t refund them because the seller would be penalized. I bought 2 concert tickets through StubHub, and was directed to retrieve my tickets using Flash Seats. I created a Flash Seats account and the seller that StubHub represented transferred the tickets to my account. Everything seemed to work fine.
Two weeks later, I received an email from Flash Seats that my tickets had been transferred. I logged into my Flash Seats account and saw my tickets had been transferred to Flash Seats' Support without my knowledge or consent. I contacted Flash Seats' Help Desk but they could not explain why my tickets had taken. I was told my concern had been escalated and someone would call me. Over the next 3 weeks I called 6 times and had to restate the problem each time. I asked to talk to supervisors.
The last call this week I talked to a supervisor in Dallas named Ed that told me the original seller had asked for the tickets back so they had been taken from me even though I had paid for them. Ed said the tickets had been fraudulently sold, but refused to send me any documentation that I could give to StubHub. Also, Ed refused to transfer me to his supervisor and told me to call the event venue. I tried that too, but they wouldn't tell me anything.
StubHub refused to pursue my complaint because the tickets had initially been transferred to me... even though the seller was fraudulent. I reminded them of their 100% guarantee, but they refused to honor it and said it was up to Flash Seats. They contract with Flash Seats to distribute tickets so StubHub needs to honor their guarantee. Fortunately, I used a credit card and will be reimbursed because I didn't receive what I had paid for. I'll try to get tickets elsewhere and will never use either StubHub or Flash Seats again. I tell everyone I know not to buy tickets through them.

I've used StubHub for years for concert tickets, sporting events, and other things. I've ran into issues only a few times and when I contacted StubHub their customer service response was immediate and always above and beyond my expectations. The last issue I had was attending a Kings hockey game where my tickets did scan to get into Staples Center but some season ticket holders ended up showing up claiming they never listed the seats I bought off StubHub. This led to a big fight between myself, the season ticket holders, and security but once everything was settled down we contacted StubHub and we were reimbursed for the tickets with no hassle and were given new seats for no cost at Staples (this may have been through the box office, but I think StubHub did help with this as well).
It's worth paying the extra fees in order to make sure you have a good experience and good customer service in my opinion after dealing with that. Dealt with Vivid Seats on my last event and I was very sad I choose them over StubHub after I had an issue with their tickets and services. Thank you StubHub for making things right.

Let me start by saying StubHub is a NO REFUND, if you buy it you OWN it type of company so BE CAREFUL!!! StubHub does not HELP the buyer at all, they continue to use the word "We HELP our buyers" but all they do is re-list your tickets. For example, if you buy something on eBay that was the wrong product - eBay will allow you a refund to the seller within a certain amount of business days, and if the seller doesn't refund you then eBay will take action against the seller. StubHub however will say, "Sorry you purchased the wrong product, all we can do now is allow you to become the seller of that product by listing the tickets on our site again and hope they sell before the concert date or else you lose out on your money or go to that concert."
There is a HUGE market of opportunity here for StubHub to step in and allow the buyer who if they bought the wrong product to have a chance to get a refund but instead StubHub is a NO REFUND policy to buyers. If the seller emails you or mails out the tickets for you, as soon as you receive it then it's your responsibility. Regardless if you bought the wrong product or not, they will NOT help you. All they will do is allow you to re-list it on their site, in which doesn't make sense because that's exactly what the original owner did in the first place. They guarantee you that if you buy anything on their site you own that product, no refunds.

Two tickets = $$238 Ticketek logo on top. We received the bill from Stub-Hub for $552.24. In reality we paid $276 for tickets marked at $119, this includes a fee or $40+ per ticket. In essence 100%+ increase. Do they buy tickets from Ticketek initially and then sell them at whatever price they feel they can get. Is this a scam? Is this legal? Once More a warning to the unwary. I listed 2 tickets for sale on their website for $295 each. After a week or so I reduced the price to $275 each. The next day to my surprise, they sold for $209 and change!!! I contacted StubHub to ask what happened, they said there is nothing they could do, supposedly someone changed the price to 209 after I reduced the price to $275.
I was the lowest priced tickets by $25 when I listed them for $275, why would I undercut my own price?? They said I could cancel the trade and would be charged the GREATER of 40% ($167.20) or the price of replacing the tickets whichever is higher. Well replacing the tickets right now would cost $300 each so looks like for me to cancel it would cost me $600!!! They did refund the $41 selling fee to go towards another purchase with them but that doesn't fully make up for the $132 I lost. A StubHub ad on their website says “where do you want to sit.” Thanks to StubHub, I got to sit in the lobby! After later calling customer service, they offered to refund my money. Duh!!! I did not get what I paid for, so that is bare minimum. Then, the rep offered a $50 StubHub credit. To put it into perspective, for 2 tickets to the show we spent $375 on StubHub! I could have bought a more reliable ticket off the street or on Craigslist.
To add insult to injury, I was charged a whopping $69 in service fees, yet StubHub was so careless as to not even make sure I received the right ticket. However, since it was too late (1 hour before the match), the agent of StubHub said they would not guarantee that I could get the ticket and at the end I couldn't attend the match and I lost 225$ and they say they are not responsible for this. I was offered to return tickets for refund and then to purchase new tickets (of course limited selection without being able to get tickets together at that time) or could receive 25% credit on future order within one year. I feel obliged to write a review after last night's concert. Let me start by saying I read all the reviews, good and bad, about StubHub and was hesitant to buy tickets from the site. Just to put into context, I am a MAJOR kpop fan and Jay Park is my favorite artist, so there was no way I was missing this concert! The tickets sold out on event in, the official sales outlet, within minutes and I was left devastated. Then 1 month later on StubHub they were up for 4 times the amount of the original... I uhhmed and ahhed but went ahead. I went for the instant download option as I had seen reviews of people that didn't get tickets in time. Even as I was queuing, I thought, I just hope I get in. And I did! Both me and my friend saw Jay Park in all his glory front row and had the best night ever :).
So I have to hand it to them, they allowed me to see my favorite artist and I got my hands on precious tickets and made unforgettable memories. Yes, this should be illegal. But desperate fans will pay whatever, I never thought I'd fit that category but there you go. And honestly, I wouldn't buy again from them. I would go to the official ticket sales of the event and go from there. Set time aside to book the real tickets (so they don't sell out!). You have more assurance that way with possible cancellations and rescheduling that you WILL get your money back. These 3rd parties aren't obliged to do anything if the event is canceled. I hope my 2 cents helped.

I eventually got an email from StubHub saying that my ticket had sold and to send it to the buyer's address. I did and then received a confirmation email that the buyer had gotten my ticket and that I would be paid. The money was put into my account and then 3 days later I get another email from StubHub saying that my order has been canceled by the buyer for "listing incorrect information" and that the money would be taken out of my account and I would be charged an additional 126 dollars.
Altogether 269 dollars was taken out of my account because apparently, I did not put "side view" on my ticket listing even though it was extremely obvious from the map that the ticket was on the side. I had no idea I had to put side view and finding that option is not right in front of you when you list your tickets. I also thought it was obvious from that map that is provided for the buyer. I contacted customer service and they said there was nothing they could do for me. I then got another email from StubHub saying that the original amount I was going to be paid for selling my ticket would be put back into my account. They never put the money back in my account and I have no idea why they sent that email if my sale had already been canceled.
Overall I had a horrible experience with StubHub and I feel like I was scammed by the person who bought my ticket as well as StubHub. I did nothing wrong and listed the correct row, section, and seat number and still had to pay the price because people apparently can't look at the map to see exactly where their seat will be even though it's right in front of them and StubHub doesn't care to help the seller as long as they get their money.

I sold tickets on StubHub for a concert in Vegas last October. After the tragic shooting that occurred, the band postponed the concert. It just didn't feel right to them to play so soon after the tragedy: Suddenly I had a charge on my bank account from StubHub. There was no prior notification or correspondence they would be charging me back. I immediately called them, and also contacted the original source from which I purchased the tickets. I figured if the concert was cancelled I could get a refund. I could not get a refund because I had sold the tickets through a third party. Also, the concert was postponed and not officially cancelled so the tickets are valid for a future date. StubHub's terms state that if an event is postponed it is still the buyers duty to determine if they can attend the event, or to otherwise sell the tickets. The seller is at no fault. I contacted StubHub and they immediately and they concurred and reversed the charge.
Suddenly at the end of December I get an email from StubHub that I owe them money and they have been unable to charge the account on file, and further threaten collections. Again I call them right away. The gentleman was helpful and friendly and said he would open an investigation. He assured me I would hear back from someone. I was worried about the threat of collections and he said that it would be fine and I'd hear back in a reasonable enough time that it would never get that far.
Lo and behold the end of January comes. I've heard nothing from anyone and on the 31st I receive another scathing email. Once again I am in the phone. This time the lady is telling me I need to provide proof that the event was rescheduled. The band reached dated in February and March. I sent documentation to StubHub within minutes. One piece of documentation clearly states that the postponed event was rescheduled and the original tickets can be used for one of the rescheduled dates. Twenty four hours later I receive an email reply stating that the debt stands and is non-negotiable because the event was cancelled. I don't even know what more I can provide these morons. I now have so much wasted time and energy, and now I'm a ball of nerves. I feel like I'm being bullied and have absolutely no recourse.
