Got an activated badge, lost 50% of the experience. I was really excited for the badges and thought it was going to be inactivated with all the goodies and ready to be used for lotteries. BUT when I got it there was only a badge and already activated, not even the lanyard on it. NEVER BUY NYCC BADGES FROM STUBHUB, THEY ARE A SCAM.

I have listed a ticket for a 2 day festival which I had tickets for SATURDAY ONLY. When you search for the event, it said SEP 28th so I listed under that. After a few hours, I sold my ticket and then got an email saying the sale was cancelled and I had to pay a fine.
2- In the end the event was cancelled. Now this "fine" they charged it to "make it right for the buyer to buy the correct ticket" should not even exist. They are probably returning his money for an event that ended up cancelled so why am I paying a fine?
Very frustrating. I already had a problem once with StubHub when someone hacked into my account and when I got to the concert, there was a person in my seat. Now this is the last straw. NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT USE, these are just "legal scalpers" charging people for nonsense fees.

Bears vs Raiders game in London - tickets canceled 2 weeks before the event. Family of 8 traveling to London for the game. We purchased 2 sets of tickets, 1 row above the other, well in advance. Received an email stating that the seller of 4 of the tickets (the ones I purchased) is offering an upgrade to another section. I stated that if they were able to move all 8 of us, I'd be interested but otherwise not. After a few other communications, I stated the following: "Wait... Are you saying that I no longer have my tickets in 249?!?! If we can't be moved together, I want to keep my current tickets so that we are next to our friends."
The following morning, I received an email stating that my tickets had been cancelled. No answer to my question via email or phone. Nothing clearly stating, you can upgrade or your tickets will be cancelled, no attempt to acquire tickets close to where the rest of my group was... Nothing. I called via phone and explained the situation. They stated that since they had cancelled the order, there was nothing else they can do at this time.
I repurchased tickets through StubHub (only because they were willing to waive the fees) that were same quality (1 section over) but more expensive now that it was closer to the game day. I will not use their services again. In general, I spoke to a service rep, then a manager and both had a dismissive, 'sorry, nothing we can do" response. We are spending a good chunk of money to come to this game in London and to have this come up, has already tainted our trip. We will now have to ask other people to take our seats so that we can attempt to sit with the rest of our party.

In attempting to buy Broadway theater tickets through their site, I mistakenly purchased the wrong show (Matinee rather than evening). Upon seeing my mistake I immediately contacted StubHub's customer service within 5 minutes of the transaction and asked if/how we could cancel the transaction, so I could purchase the correct showing. I was told there is no canceling of transactions once they are consummated (despite the fact that it states on the website, that purchasers may not receive their money for up to 5 business days after a sale).
As a consumer, you're only recourse is to relist the tickets and try to sell them yourself (on their site) and of course eating the $99 in processing fees I just paid...in the hopes that someone will purchase them from me. So, If no one does, I'm now out a total of $450 for tickets I cannot use! This seems outside the guidelines all businesses in this country must follow in regards to retail transactions, that there is sufficient time to rescind or cancel a transaction for a full refund if services are not rendered?!

I bought a college football parking pass from StubHub only to find that the parking pass I received, did not allow tailgating in the lot. At my time of purchase, there was NO ticket details on the StubHub website indicating that this was a no tailgating parking pass. Who goes to a football game and doesn't tailgate? Had the site stated that this parking pass did not allow tailgating, I would not have bought it. Then I was told that a supervisor from StubHub would call me back to discuss the the situation within 3 hours of my initial call... no callback. The StubHub customer service is awful. I will never purchase from StubHub again.

My wife and I bought tickets through TicketMaster to see the Rolling Stones at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Sadly, a conflict came up and we had to sell our $600 tickets and chose StubHub to do so. The sale & purchase went fine, but the day after the concert StubHub informed my wife that the purchaser of our tickets was not able to get into the event. The papers wrote an article that there was a systematic attack and several fans were also turned away. We provided proof of sale from Ticketmaster including credit card receipts and copies of the tickets with bar-codes to StubHub.
StubHub sent us through the hell with harassing emails and threats even after receiving valid proof. We also sent them the article to which they acknowledged that they were aware that several other victims came forward. After hours of back and forth with Stubhub, Tickmaster, our credit card company and the Rose Bowl StubHub charged our credit card - taking back the $600 dollars their customer paid us. Unless you have money to burn, buy elsewhere.

If you decide to go through Stubhub, BE VERY CAREFUL. Their software is horrible and slow and does not update you at all. The software made me end up with two extra tickets because they weren't showing up as purchased by me. Then when trying to sell the tickets, the transfer didn't go through properly and the same ticket ended up being used twice. I lost $775 total to this company when I should have only spent $230. I Purchased two tickets to the production of Hamilton in Providence Rhode Island. I was told by StubHub tickets would be delivered to me within a week of the performance. For five days before the performance I got a note saying there was a problem and the tickets would be at the Will Call window at the theater. I got to the theater. There were no tickets under my name. But the woman at the Will Call window said they had two tickets they could substitute so I took those tickets. The tickets I bought on StubHub cost over $500 each. The tickets that the woman at the window gave me cost $200.
I called StubHub him and told him of the problem and the person put me on hold for about 10 minutes, came back and said I would be issued a rebate within two weeks. A month later have not received the rebate. I called again and was told that the ticket seller to provide them with verifiable proof that the tickets were in fact the Will Call window and as a result there would be no rebate. I asked to talk to a supervisor and was told that a supervisor would call me back usually within 24 hours. That was a week ago. I think this place it’s not a total scam at least has no sense of customer service and apparently doesn’t need customer loyalty.

What they are not showing you is a huge fence to the right, obstructing left field corner. Called customer service as soon as I purchased and they refused to refund, or let me speak to a Manager. I said, "I rather work it with you," and asked to speak to a Manager. She said she will try but no assurance to have a manager call back. I said, "The only other option is to dispute with bank." She welcomed it and laugh saying, "Well then you can never use StubHub again." Also when you email their customer service email you get an auto reply saying that there's no one checking the email box. So no manager to speak to, and no email to write to. Stubhub makes their website look like a booking platform but it is not. They are set up to scam people and sell tickets for twice their price off the direct. I was unable to attend the event after the concert was rescheduled, and since StubHub collects fees from the buyer & seller, there was no way to resell the tickets at a fair price in order to recoup the money lost. Stubhub also does not offer buyer protection to protect your customers from situations like this. You took $77 in fees to buy the 2 tickets, that I paid $254 for. Recommended resell price was $61 and after fees I would have only received $103. That would have been over $100 in fees you collected just from me for the same event. I was one of only 1,628 in this same boat. I'm sure this is a common occurrence with your company. Lesson learned. Do not purchase tickets from a resell website. Thank you.
You should really consider offering customer the ability to resell tickets for rescheduled events minus the fees. No need to add insult to injury. I understand it is out of Stubhub's control when events are rescheduled, but it was also out the the control of your customers as well. Showing some understanding and customer appreciation would go a long way to building customer loyalty.

StubHub is not a buyer's friend so beware! I purchased concert tickets through StubHub for 9/21/20 for a Vegas trip. Little did I know that these tickets were from a 3rd party seller on Ticketmaster. I received tickets for 9/28/20, the wrong date!!! I contacted StubHub and was instructed to transfer the tickets back to StubHub from Ticketmaster which I did immediately. The tickets were claimed by StubHub but now they say they can't find the tickets. After providing several pieces of proof and also being a customer for more than 5 years with several major purchases, they still want to charge me for the incorrect tickets.
Their customer service agents follow a script, have no power to solve problems and just act as gatekeepers. Ticketmaster and StubHub do not play nice together. Be careful to place close attention to where your tickets are coming from. StubHub will not help you if there are any issues. Let’s just I didn’t want to give them one star because they did not deserve it. Their customer service sucks and I’m very big on customer service. I have been in that field for a long time and the customer is always right. I purchased tickets to and I received a confirmation page when I paid for the tickets. I never received the actual tickets. So when I got to the show I went to the box office to redeem my tickets and I was told they had no record of them. So I was told to contact StubHub they couldn’t help me. I called and I waited on the line for 45 minutes the show had started. So it gave me the option to receive a callback and I won’t lose my place in line. I went ahead and purchased the tickets again at the box office because I was dropped off so I had no choice but to watch the show.
Finally spoke with StubHub customer service manager Chris M and he stated he cannot refund me anything. It shows the tickets was sent to an invalid email and I just have to take a loss for those tickets. I spent $160 on the first set and $130 on the second set of tickets. He told me I can write the CEO of the company in CA. This is unacceptable and I will never do business with them ever again. I will continue to give my business to Ticketmaster. Just a heads up for anyone artist, celebrities or anyone needing a venue or ticket redemption service DO NOT ever use Stubhub they do not care incidents or accidents that might or has occurred. Purchased great tickets to a concert, and as anyone who has used this horrid company before knows, you have to go through 27 steps and applications to actually access your ticket. When I finally completed all 27 and reached the stage to access my tickets, they were GONE. After a very long story, turns out because StubHub isn't the seller of the ticket, the company "AXS" who sold the ticket to transfer to me, is allowed to revoke the tickets at any time before I click the "Accept" button, even though the money was paid in full. So now I'm down over 2,000 euros and have no tickets.

As we were walking away from the entrance to place a call we saw at least a dozen others who had the same issue. After 40 minutes on hold and talking to a rep from StubHub they were able to rectify and get us new tickets (no upgrade). StubHub is a scam. Don't assume your tickets will work. Absolutely appalling customer service. Turned up to an event in Sweden I'd purchased tickets to. They did not work as someone had gone in with the same barcode. Called StubHub on the night, but ended up sorting out tickets myself as it was getting convoluted. In trying to get a refund, I have had in excess of 20 contacts with them via telephone, email and online chat, have gone back to the Swedish Stadium to obtain evidence of denial of entry and wasted hours and hours. Each time I spoke to someone at Stubhub (usually after long periods on hold), they said the delay was "much longer than usual, but the team who looks at this doesn't have a contact number".
The final straw, 3 months after the event, was an email in Spanish(!) from a help desk requesting a copy of the stadium evidence which I have already supplied 5 times via email and direct upload. StubHub is a disgraceful scam, and I cannot believe the scale this business has achieved which such appalling customer service. To stuff up and sell me a duplicate ticket is one thing. Have used StubHub for years as we see a ton of shows. I always thought their 100 Fan Guarantee meant something but I was wrong. On May 4 I purchased 4 tickets for $432 for the Aug 8th Billy Joel concert at Coors Field in Denver. It was a birthday surprise for my 13 year old son. Upon entry my tickets in my ticket master app did not contain a barcode. I was sent to customer service where I learned my tickets had been (not through me) transferred back to the seller and without a barcode they were invalid. Upon contacting StubHub customer service I was told that I had accepted my tickets in their app and it was out of their control?! I had to purchase on site $800 worth of tickets to attend.
My second call back was somewhat better as I was told she would file a claim. Today 8/12/19 I was told that my claim had been denied as I accepted the mobile tickets which were invalid. I then called Coors Field customer service and their manager was able to trace the tickets which had been retransferred twice back to the original owner. The Coors Field manager did send a letter in regards to my tickets being invalid as they were transferred back to the original owner. Upon relaying this letter to Jordan my StubHub claim associate along with a receipt for my new tickets, he told me how appreciative he was, and how he needed to investigate further and that I should perhaps call Ticketmaster and ask them what happened which I already did.
He really stressed appreciate over & over as if he is helpless and his appreciation of doing his work somehow makes losing $432 feel better. They have had my $432 since May and sent me invalid tickets and I have been continually shrugged off or postponed. I told Jordon I should be receiving a refund immediately but he really stressed the appreciation of me giving him more information and that he again needed to investigate. I have spent HOURS dealing with StubHub and Ticketmaster and tracking down the Coors Field manager who was so helpful and kind. Still no refund!?
I was told if I filed a complaint with my credit card company that my StubHub account would be suspended. Hello?! Why would I be using them again if they don’t issue me a refund on invalid tickets?! What I think is complete bs is that I’m pretty sure both StubHub & Ticketmaster are able to see the history of my ticket. They both said "Looks like your ticket was transferred back", but then their reps put you on hold forever and come back with the "but you clicked on accept tickets." Well, yes!? Bought tickets, got charged, got told tickets were transferred to me, I did not find them. 1 day later I called, they told me they had checked with the seller and made me check my emails and call them back, kept me on hold for 20 min at 2nd call while talking to seller, then told me that the seller himself had just bought them to sell on but had not received them. They have an insurance to refund me or give me new tickets, but they insisted that they sort out why the seller who bought the tickets through their platform did not get his tickets. They would make his seller send me directly, but they could not reach him. It is 7h after my first call that I asked to send me a refund as they were not able to give me this or other tickets.
Unfortunately I did not get to go to the concert now and had to cancel the babysitter. Most disappointing is that they write I have the tickets although they dont. Also my seller who they did not name first wrongly told them apparently that he had sent me the tickets. It is a platform for fraudsters. They know and seem to be ok with that. If you dont have idle cash to lose and really want to go to a concert - buy elsewhere. Very very frustrating. Very disappointed.

I have been buying baseball and hockey tickets on Stubhub for over 10 years and have never had a problem. The tickets were always described as "instant download" and within minutes were emailed to me as a PDF file and I was able to print them and use for entrance. However this year I noticed the tickets were listed as "mobile ticket-instant".
I recently attempted to purchase tickets to an MLB game. Thinking "mobile ticket-instant" means either mobile or instant download, I proceeded to checkout where I read "straight to the Stubhub app - and your Stubhub account - on your phone within minutes." What's that mean? Do the tickets go to my phone? Are they also on my account available to be printed? Are they still downloaded to my computer? The help section says some mobile tickets can not be printed, but what about "mobile tickets-instant".
Fortunately I was able to chat with a CSR before I made the purchase. The rep said that due to Stubhub's agreement with MLB, all tickets are now mobile phone only. You must have a smartphone to get them and they are not able to be printed. So those of us like myself who do not have smartphones are out of luck. I'm not sure who drove this decision, MLB or Stubhub. But what got me was the lack of information on Stubhub's website. Unlike other ticket sites I visited after this experience, nowhere on Stubhub's site does it state that you must have a smartphone to use these tickets. And despite being a long term customer I received no notice from Stubhub that the ticket delivery method was changing. (I did not purchase any tickets from them last year, however I had in 2017 and my account was still active.)
I'm amazed that Stubhub/MLB could make such a change and completely disregard the 20% of us without smartphones, but Stubhub not only implemented the change without notice, they use misleading terminology that could easily lead someone to believe the tickets are also available for download and printing. I really think they hope people without smartphones still purchase the tickets and then find out the hard way you can't use them. So this is a warning to folks. Unless the tickets say "mobile or print" (like NHL tix) you MUST have a smartphone as you can not print mobile tickets.

If there was a way to give zero stars to StubHub, I would. Never do business with them. I listed a ticket that was available as an eticket through Ticketmaster. They took all this info and the ticket was listed. I was not in cell coverage area for some hours afterwards. They claim my ticket was sold and since I didn't transfer my ticket, they sold the buyer another ticket and charged me for the difference between the selling price of my ticket and the price of the ticket they did sell to the buyer. WTF? They sold someone else's ticket instead, got paid in full for that ticket, remitted something less to that seller, and then charged me for the difference what I listed my ticket for and what they "had" to pay to get the buyer a ticket.
So they're making money from both the actual seller and me (the seller who didn't actually sell my ticket because I wasn't aware that it had sold or aware that some further action is required even after I list an eticket for sale). How they're allowed to stay in business by scamming two sellers and one buyer is beyond me. Buyer/Seller beware, never do business with StubHub.

I purchased two tickets to see Hamilton in San Francisco today. I purchased the tickets three weeks ago but never received them. StubHub’s customer service department continually lied, stalled, and even hung up on me over the last three days. They gave me one excuse after another, and guaranteed they would give me replacement tickets for today’s performance. They did not do this, either because the performance was sold out. We drove over 200 miles today only to stand outside the theater that we had purchased tickets for, but did not get to see the show. In the last three days I have spent easily 10 hours trying to get StubHub to provide me with the tickets I had paid for weeks ago. I will not trust them again. I refreshed email over and over until 7:30 when the concert started. At that time I had to make a decision to buy tickets through Ticketmaster, which was a seamless experience.
I called to see if they would refund the tickets, reviews all over the web said they would come up with an excuse not to, and of course they didn’t. Their excuse was that they sent the “your tickets are ready” email at 6:38 p.m. that is exactly 1 hour from the time my email shows them arriving. I have the email clearly showing that the email came at 7:38 p.m.
StubHub just keeps repeating they sent it at 6:38 while I’m staring at an email that shows it came at 7:38. This is a personal email so there isn’t any firewalls that would have delayed it. It wasn’t that much money. It’s just the fact that they don’t stand behind their product and blatantly lie to avoid taking responsibility. I highly recommend never using this company. The tickets were "General Admission" so I chose the "Pit General Admission" option on the listing site as this was the first "GA" option I saw (unaware that there were multiple). The tickets sold, I e-mailed the buyer the tickets right away, and that was that. I get a call from StubHub that the tickets I listed were "Lawn GA" not "Pit GA" which was an honest mistake on my part as I did not know there was a difference.
I apologized to both StubHub and the buyer personally, but was told I would be charged a fee for listing "fake" tickets. The fee? $109! Are you joking? The tickets didn't even cost that much! I spoke with StubHub's customer service and they were not willing to budge at all. Where is the seller protection? Where is the customer service? I'm not a bot, I'm not someone who buys and sells tickets constantly. I work full-time and am a full-time student. $110 is a LOT of money to me - now it's down the drain. It was my first time to purchase concert tickets last March because it was for BLACKPINK. I bought 2 tickets for me and my friend for Blackpink Melbourne - General Admission June 13, 2019 and paid the full amount of $1167.76 including shipping fee to NZ. I got an email stating that I will receive the tickets June 7. It was fine with me and was very happy and excited. Last June 5, StubHub contacted me to offer a change in the category of the tickets I bought for the reason that “seller has communicated that the tickets selected are no longer available”. From General Admission, StubHub offered to change it to Lower tier, section 7 row G (right side of the stage and is already almost side view) and was much cheaper. Since I had no choice and was panicking already as the concert was already near, I decided to accept the offer.
On June 6, StubHub replied that Lower tier, section 7 no longer available, as the seller sold it elsewhere (What the heck?!!!!). They then offered me another ticket from another seller - Section 12 row J side view, (left side of stage) with AUD 150 partial refund. Was very frustrated and annoyed but still decided to accept the offer as we were already running out of time. Our flight was on June 10 and we needed to get the tickets before we fly to Australia from NZ. Stubhub then replied: “Thank you so much for the acceptance, the new tickets will be electronic, and they will uploaded by the new seller. We also have proceeded partial refund of AUD 150, to the same method of payment when you finalized the the purchase.” - I DID NOT GET THE REFUND UNTIL NOW.
On the same day (June 6) StubHub sent me another email stating: “We will contact you shortly to let you know that we have returned $106.25 for the ticket(s) of type General Admission corresponding to the event BLACKPINK Melbourne that you bought from StubHub. You will receive this amount in your account within the next few days.” - I STILL DID NOT RECEIVE THIS REFUND UP UNTIL NOW.
Because StubHub changed the paper tickets to e-tickets, they sent another email on June 6 stating: “We will contact you shortly to let you know that we have returned $46.92 for the ticket(s) of type General Admission corresponding to the event BLACKPINK Melbourne that you bought from StubHub. You will receive this amount in your account within the next few days.” - I DID NOT RECEIVE THIS AMOUNT TOO UP UNTIL NOW. StubHub finally sent 2 E-tickets on June 6 (with TICKETEK logo. Should have just bought it from Ticketek directly) for the Section 12 row J side view. Each ticket was only 203.50 Aud as shown on the tickets.
Last June 21, I sent an email again to StubHub to follow up the refund. Luciano from StubHub replied stating: “Regarding your query, we will investigate it with the finance department. We will be contacting you as soon as we have news.” But it has been more than a month and still no refund and no update from them. Today, I sent them another email to follow-up the refund because I needed the money badly and am still waiting for their reply. My experience with StubHub is just the worst. Very poor service. I am very frustrated and will HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND it to my friend or other people. If you want to be ripped off, buy from them. If anyone from StubHub reading this, I need my refund asap.

These were bought on TicketMaster and I have sent in the receipt and now I am waiting for the venue to open again so that I can get a scan report. However none of this makes a difference because if the buyer is a scalper and has sold the tickets they bought from me multiple times then the scan report will show that it has been scanned many times which "proves" to them that I sold invalid tickets. So the buyer then gets their money back and they get to keep the money they made from selling those tickets multiple times! Ridiculous.

We tried to contact StubHub, they just assured me, that the tickets are certainly valid, anyway, we have "fan guarantee". Later today, I contacted them with more details, that probably we cannot attend it and StubHub again assured me, that it will be OK... bla bla bla.
So finally we went to the event and after security control, when we wanted to enter to the "stadium", they wanted to see our ID cards and did not allow the entrance, as there is different name on ticket and as they respect anti-fraud re-sell, I write now this review instead of enjoying the Ed Sheeran concert... I paid them 4,500 euros for a ticket to the 2019 Champions League final, the biggest event of my 63-year-old old life. They followed up the next 3 weeks with emails, saying things like “only a week to go, are you getting excited!” Then, just three days before I was flying from Bangkok to Madrid, when everything was booked, they phoned to say I wasn’t going to get the ticket after all. The prices had soared to even crazier levels and the ticket holder had opted to sell it for more elsewhere. I was distraught and yelled down the phone “for god’s sake get me another ticket. I’ve booked my flights and hotels!” The girl replied: “We can’t, I’m sorry.” And that was it, conversation over.
The flights and accom were non-refundable so I went over anyway, spent the whole 3 days before the game running around Madrid pestering ticket touts and anyone who would listen to try to get one ticket but by then the cheapest were fetching 9-10,000 euros, way out of my league. Long story short, Stubhub honored their pledge to refund my money and later sent me 1,500 euros as compensation, provided I promised in writing not to sue them. An American businessman friend said they’d never be allowed to get away with this in the US – they’d have had to spend whatever it took to find me another ticket.
The compo they sent me covered my flights/expenses but it’s hard to explain the absolute distress this whole episode caused me – flying halfway across the world, only to find I was one of several thousands, tearing around begging for a ticket. I finally tried my luck outside the stadium and got to 100 metres from the ground, where police on horses swept us all away and out of sight. It was truly ghastly. Why the rant? These people lied in their follow-up email, saying they had done all they could to find me another ticket. Even worse, their entire business practice is based on promising tickets they don’t have in their possession. THAT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL.
I don’t mind reselling websites onselling tickets for whatever price the ticket-holder wants to charge – I really don’t. But it is disgusting that they can willfully offer tickets they don’t actually have and can’t guarantee delivering. They should only be allowed to sell what they have in their hands. Yes, they compensated me – but it doesn’t go anywhere close to making up for the enormous stress they caused me and a trip of my life that became a nightmare. The law should stop websites like this from operating. I’m sure they’re not bad people but be very wary about buying from them if the event is popular and prices are rising.

The icing on the cake is that if you were to buy 4 tickets for instance, they will charge you 4 SEPARATE TIMES FOR SHIPPING! EVEN THOUGH IT IS COMING IN ONE ENVELOPE! The problem with the StubHub model is that all responsibility is owned by the buyer for "acts of God" even though StubHub makes a hefty commission on each transaction.
In fact, until I argued with customer service, they intended to charge me a service fee to resell the tickets I can't use. Then they "magnanimously" agreed to waive the service fee when I made a stink. Still, there's no way that I'm going to recoup the cost of my tickets (two at $30 a piece) plus the $16 service fee. The venue ended up seating us in Row Y towards the back of the theater. I called Stubhub to complain and to try to reach some resolution because I would never have ordered seats so far back in the theater. They would only offer a $17 refund.
I asked about their FanProtect Guarantee, which guarantees that you will receive the tickets you ordered or something comparable/better. The rep said that I did receive the tickets I ordered, I simply didn't receive the actual seats that I ordered. Apparently there is a difference. I'm not unreasonable - I know that glitches can happen and I did get to see the show. However, $17 off for 2 tickets did not seem like fair compensation.
Anyway, I tried to escalate this to a manager but she told me no managers were available and that they would just tell me the same thing anyway. In addition, Stubhub continued to list seats in the same non-existent section for the 3 Kinky Boots shows that occurred after the showing I attended. They literally had dozens of seats listed in that same section and barely anything else in any other legitimate/existing sections. This seems kind of sketchy, like someone knew there was a glitch in the ticketing system and was exploiting it. Stubhub should have removed the listings after I and probably many other people complained.
I have never filed a credit card dispute because I have always been able to go up the chain of command at a company's customer service in order to fix problems. However, this option doesn't seem to be available at Stubhub as the only people I can talk to are powerless customer service agents. It is disgusting to see that this happened only after the Raptors won game 4 and StubHub apparently had no issue with my account until the tickets tripled in value.
This was not an issue with my bank as I have done several high volume payments before and my bank/card never bounces or has problems with transactions. I had even contacted my bank after my live chat with StubHub and they alerted me that there was no concern for fraud on their end and this was an issue with the StubHub security team. I am unsure if StubHub is attempting to scam clients in games where ticket prices are volatile and relist tickets for a higher price because I have literally no understanding of why they would "temporarily lock" my account and then instantly re-sell the tickets at three times the price. I hope people see this and make better decisions before buying high-value tickets to playoff sports outings and events.

Realized they gave wrong ticket and reached out immediately to SH. Told me only option was to resell through them. Jumped through hoops REPEATEDLY and kept getting locked out of my account. Used chat, called repeatedly. No resolution. husband tried the same things. Each time the rep assured us all was resolved and it wasn't. Sold the ticket FINALLY 30 minutes before event for a $440 LOSS. They are too big and do not know what they are doing. Could not be more disappointed in a company. I typically ONLY write good reviews, but they are so awful, it was worth the time to warn other consumers.

** company takes. They start off with a ludicrous 45% of the ticket value penalty, BUT the penalty may also be the difference of cost to replace the right tickets for the seller - WHICHEVER IS GREATER. That’s the part that really pisses me off, this company gives such little importance to their customers that they literally try to charge you the greatest amount, rather than the lesser.
What’s more bothersome is that instead of making a standard price for admin expenses, they put a percentage. So if you sell $20 tickets your loss is minimal, but if you sell $5000 your loss is huge, since you get charged a percentage even if they used up the same resources for both sales. Clearly this company has no care for customer satisfaction, they are in the business of quantity, not quality. Boycott StubHub.

I listed my tickets for Twenty Pilots. Finally had a buyer this morning, the day of the concert, and I immediately transferred the tickets. I waited all day for the person to accept the tickets. Ticketmaster said it was waiting for the buyer to accept the transfer. StubHub said it was pending transfer. I checked multiple times throughout the day to see if the buyer accepted the transfer. An hour and a half before the concert started, I get an email from StubHub that they cancelled the sale and charged me $64! I called to ask why. I sent screenshots that I clearly transferred the tickets this morning. After looking at their “mobile emails” (which I could not see) they claim that I made a typo in the transfer email. Their buyer called twice to inquire where my transfer was.
For 2 hours, StubHub never sent me an email to tell me she didn’t get the transfer. Yet they had no problem sending me an email to say my transaction was canceled. Their excuse was that they called my number and got no answer. It was my home phone and I’m at work! They claim they get a quicker response by phone. BS. It’s their way of ripping both the buyer and seller to obtain cancelled transaction fees. I’ve put in a dispute to my bank. Now I’m out two tickets plus $64 in cancellation and I’m sure the buyer is rightly upset as well. Do not use this horrible service. It was my first time trying to sell tickets and I will never use them again.

Then a day or 2 before, StubHub contacted me that the tickets "were no longer available". StubHub needs to do better in ensuring that sellers aren't double selling for higher prices! They gave me a refund but that doesn't help my experience! They offered to find me tickets but the event was sold out! I ended up getting worse seats and for more money at the last minute through Ticketmaster resales. There is too much room for scalper scams!

I have been in contact back and forth with StubHub for about a month and have been getting different bits of information every time. The most I am being provided is a reference number - something that means nothing and cannot be traced by my bank. I did it because my wife badly wanted to see the show. I chose the seats and paid for it. I receive tickets with different seats, but I only realize that when I get to venue. And to make it worse, one of the seats was an accessibility platform with no seat. After negotiating with staff at venue, they literally bring me a high chair to sit on. Needless to say, I felt odd and uncomfortable, and my wife did not appreciate the experience. We ended up walking out of the venue.
I warned StubHub of the scamming seller, and while they acknowledged that I was scammed, they could only refund me one seat, and would do nothing to follow through on the scammer because they have strict selling policies that they live by. Needless to say, I will never do business with them. Integrity is not a value they live by. And they decided to make an honest buyer pay, and a scammer stay. Wasted hours trying and I got nowhere. Then the last 2 seats sold I I went in to upload the last 2 seats. I 100% choose the remaining 2 seats and uploaded the original pdf with the four tickets as required. Today I was charged back the sale amount and $225 additional penalty stating I uploaded the same 2 seats from first sale. When I called and went round and round with William he just kept telling me I uploaded the same seats twice.
I KNOW this is not right. Again I followed their direction and the original pdf upload had 4 seats so if I selected the correct 2 seats in both sales the StubHub has an upload issue because they just keep blaming me saying I uploaded the same seats tickets both times saying they see them in both orders. Both orders had the 4 original tickets in the pdf and both orders had the correct SOLD seats selected so they have an issue on their end when they transfer the 2/ sets of tickets and just keep saying I uploaded the same 2 seats both times. I am not taking the blame for their system error so will be taking further action as this is NOT right and I wonder how many times they have done this. I am very disappointed in this company. I went to sell paper tickets the other day and a customer cancelled the purchase because I didn’t sell them in one day. I went on a trip and was sending them one day later with ample time for the person to receive the tickets and I was charged. Then I listed them again and I chose pdf option because paper tickets was not available this time and I didn’t notice. The person bought the tickets and I went get the shipping label and it said upload tickets. I went to upload them and I was not allowed to copy them for the pdf. I called StubHub to see if the buyer would be okay to have them shipped overnight and StubHub said they would ship them overnight. The person cancelled the ticket purchase again. I called StubHub and they went on and on about how I listed them incorrectly. But nowhere on their website does it say that paper ticket options are erased as an option.
The man I spoke with, Miles, was very rude and said I listed them wrong. He said they do not ship overnight anywhere. It would be a courtesy. Which is not true because I’ve UPS tickets in one day with them before and it never said anything about that being a courtesy, it’s a standard practice. Then I said why did the man I spoke with earlier say he could send them on the weekend. And he said, "No. We don’t send anything over the weekend." So they told me two different answers and I got charged 24$ and 32$ for both listings. I asked where on the website it says they don’t deliver over the weekend and he said in the seller's policy but I haven’t found any information on that. And then he hung up on me after sternly insinuating how I did all this wrong.
I tried to explain I’m new to StubHub and selected what I thought was best given my options. There was no better information on their website over their policy. The man hanging up on me while I was politely asking questions about the process and asking for help finding these policies online so I could avoid things like this in the future was so rude. I was completely baffled by the horrible customer service and how they were blatantly trying to blame me for it all when I was merely trying to find better information to avoid being charged further.

On 8/28/2018, I sold 4 tickets on StubHub. After the sale, I call to ensure Stubhub received my Direct Deposit info. Later, I receive an email stating my sale was cancelled. Several calls and emails to StubHub. No response, except their generic auto receipt email. My $800 sale was cancelled. After cancelling, they charged me an additional 40%. I am still in dispute with my credit card company regarding that charge. So, I file StubHub under 'another morally bankrupt and eventually irrelevant tech company' and made a mental note. If I dealt with them again, keep the bar low and document everything.
Spoiler alert: this is not a feel good story with a happy ending. I re-list those same tickets on SH and they eventually sell for hundreds less. After losing the more profitable sale, the additional 40% they stole without merit, and selling the same tickets for hundreds less, their error cost me over $500. The bar got lower. Lower. Nope, even lower. A little lower. There ya go.
It's 5 months later and I sell 4 different tickets on SH for a show on 1/19/2019. It's 10 days after the concert and I receive an email from SH. The buyer of my tickets claim they were invalid. Still not stressing. The tickets were purchased direct from Ticketmaster and I was willing to provide anything I could. Still, naively assuming this is a streamlined process created by StubHub to allow sellers an opportunity to protect their purchase.
But here’s the truth. Once you receive an 'invalid ticket' email from SH, they graciously (this space reserved for eye rolling) allow sellers 48 hours to provide a mountain of documentation. Many sellers do provide this documentation and can still be charged 150% of the ticket sale price. The hardest document, by far, is the ‘Scan Directive’. This request by StubHub is not authorized for the general public and most venues will not provide it. In addition, Ticketmaster requires 1-3 days-ish (heavy on the 'ish') before responding. You also need to check your email incisively as your 48 hour clock begins immediately - don't forget to search your spam! Personally, I received my StubHub email at 5:30 P.M.
Back to my personal nightmare. So I email documents to 'Patrick' with no last name, from StubHub's 'Marketplace Investigations'. Everything was sent within 48 hours. The only exception was the aforementioned 'scan directive'. The venue does not have a copy of the report and directed me to Ticketmaster. TM sent an email with a response time of 2-3 days. I sent several emails to Ticketmaster with numerous email addresses, made phone calls, tried social media... Hoping to alleviate this 2-3 day wait, but got nowhere.
Still not stressing. StubHub would know the response time for Ticketmaster, where most of their sales originate, right? They obviously have a strategy in place to ensure sellers aren't scammed by every buyer who makes a false claim, right? How else could a virtual marketplace, who only provide a service, justify taking around 25% of each ticket sale?
While waiting on hold with Ticketmaster, I receive an email from StubHub. The email was addressed to me but intended for the con-artist buyer-of-my-tickets, who initiated the false claim. Patrick, with no last name, from StubHub's Marketplace Investigations, tells the buyer that he was refunded for his purchase and was notified that I would not be paid. A StubHub buyer doesn't need to provide ANY documentation, photos... Even 10 days after the concert, this buyer makes a false online claim and it was assumed he/she was the victim. 'We do hold our sellers 100% liable and this seller was not paid for your order and is, also, subject to additional penalties.'
I was livid! After more research, I found many other StubHub buyers who used this false claim tactic to attend concerts for free. Most received a refund and additional incentives. I vowed to stop these con artists and ensure they didn't have the opportunity to steal from my family or anyone else's. Keep in mind, we're not talking about pocket change. The costs incurred from 150% of a ticket sale has wreaked havoc on sellers finances, not to mention create credit card debt and interest which is all incurred due to fraud and greed.
I familiarized myself with StubHub's Sellers FanProtect Policies. The policies state StubHub Sellers are issued a guarantee and an investigation where a sellers history plays a role. Personally, I had 40 sales without one claim. This did not seem to matter. Nothing I said mattered and nothing I provided would have changed their decision. Unfortunately, I was never able to provide a scan directive. This is not something Ticketmaster will provide. They will only verify whether or not the tickets were scanned. I was able to verify that 2 tickets were scanned and several minutes later, the other 2 were scanned. The buyer used all 4 tickets.
So it's 48 hours after the initial email, Patrick notified me that he was withdrawing 150% of the ticket sales price from my bank account. He would consider re-opening the investigation over the next 30 days. "As a courtesy sellers are given 2 business days to responded with the requested documentation..." It's clear that StubHub has no incentive to adapt consumer fairness to their seller policies. StubHub receives an additional 50% of the ticket sales if they side with the buyers. They are judge, jury, and executioner. How convenient... for them!
I recently opened a case for Arbitration, started blogging about my experience, have sought legal counsel, and contacted local news media. I invite anyone else in a similar situation to do the same. Stand up for what is fair and just or they will continue these practices. I will continue to update as the matter progresses and an open to additional suggestions. You can also open a free case by contacting the American Arbitration Association. Nothing is going to change if consumers continue to allow these deceptive practices. We have to believe there is strength in numbers and advocating for truth.

I recently just purchased a BLACKPINK world tour ticket stated as "VIPSNDCHCK" on STUBHUB, and this description looks like a VIP ticket with Sound Check, HOWEVER, IT IS NOT! What I received is just a general ticket with only Sound Check, and is not a VIP ticket! There are three kinds of Floor tickets: GA, GA with Sound Check, and GA with VIP & Sound Check. And the VIP ticket shall include Sound Check, Floor ticket, Send Off after the concert, and Souvenir.
Why I bought a VIP SOUNDCHECK Ticket but receive the SOUNDCHECK ONLY ticket? The other SOUNDCHECK ONLY tickets sold on STUBHUB are more than $100 CHEAPER than mine! I am not a fool, no one would buy a much more expensive ticket if there was a cheaper one!! Seriously? Is such a big company cheating customers like this? When I called the customer service, they just said "I am very sorry that you receive the wrong ticket, but you can relist it on our website." WTF, it is just like a fraud!! Sell a General ticket and list as VIP ticket for a much higher price. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM IT!

I used StubHub's "picture view from seats" before selecting them, which may have accurately represented the angle of a huge area of seats, but left out several details. When I arrived the seats were at the highest point, last row you could sit, IN THE WHEELCHAIR SECTION, BEHIND PLEXIGLASS!!! Unreal. So embarrassing to tell my girlfriend I bought us tickets for her birthday and to wind up there.

I called and they claimed that "something did not seem right" with my order and that I would have to go back online and try to purchase the tickets again. My StubHub account was frozen "for my protection". Nothing was wrong with my transaction! I received the email and the card went through. I purchased tickets for the BTS concert on May 11th 2019. When the seller sent me the Email to send the tickets to my Ticketmaster account I kept receiving an error message saying, "OOPS SOMETHING WENT WRONG." Ticketmaster simple told me since it was a StubHub purchase they could not help. I pointed out that the error page was a Ticketmaster issue and was told since not enough people have complained about it, it was not important enough to look into.
In comes StubHub customer service, literally for days they tried everything to correct the problem. They had the seller send me the ticket email numerous times, they called me daily to see if I had any success. They called Ticketmaster on my behalf, they went so far above and beyond that I was truly amazed. Never in my life has any company gone out of their way as StubHub did for me. They even planned to make sure I had tickets no matter what. The communication was not only by phone but followed up each time by email. UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Now for my back story, only a couple people I spoke with from the service team knew that I am waiting for a double lung transplant and that this may be the very last concert I can attend with my daughter. I myself am a huge BTS fan so having this moment with my daughter meant more than everything to me. I hope and pray that I will have another opportunity to see BTS in the future, and I will never buy any ticket from anyone except STUBHUB. When I inquired about the difference, StuHub said the e-mail from them was an error, and that what the order stated when I placed it was the correct price that was eventually invoiced and on my credit card. Purchased 2 tickets to Avey Tare in Chicago - April 6th. I purchased them a week ago and StubHub says they guarantee the tickets. The "ticket due date" wasn't until April 5th....one day before the event, which doesn't allow you time to get them, if the seller falls through because it was sold out. StubHub will do NOTHING until the due date has passed so now it is "DAY OF" event. Still no tickets. StubHub KNEW that the ticket seller was not going to sell, and kept telling me to give them more time....more time that I could have been spending getting real tickets. They finally admitted that they were trying to buy time to find other tickets, and couldn't. So they wasted a week of my time on fake tickets they didn't even have, take no responsibility because they say they are just brokering between buyer and seller.
They can have sellers that decide not to sell at the last minute because they got a better offer elsewhere or maybe they never even had tickets and were hoping to find some to sell higher.... They don't vet out their sellers to make sure they are legit. They don't ask for proof that the seller actually has tickets, and they don't take any possession of the tickets to protect the buyer from the seller changing their mind at the last minute or never having the tickets in the first place. Total scam. They should let you know that your chances that you actually purchased tickets and will get them is very small. Doesn't help that they say they will refund you... They failed on their guarantee to get me to the event or find alternative tickets. A refund doesn't get me to the event, when they cancel on the day of the event, and provide no options.

Okay, so a lot of these reviews are extremely negative and I was wary of this site, but I'm so happy that I decided to take the chance. First of all, I was totally scammed. I bought tickets that were wheelchair only and this was written NOWHERE on the site - honestly I was lucky that I'm extremely vigilant and I noticed the small characters under the barcode on the ticket.
I called the venue to ask if I could come with my tickets and I was obviously told no. So, I called StubHub's customer service and WOW. After verifying my purchase, and admitting that there was no mention of wheelchair accessibility, they replaced my tickets with equally great seats that were *twice* the price of what I spent at no additional cost! All the while, the customer service rep was so sweet and understanding. I definitely would recommend this site to anyone - their FanProtect guarantee is legit!

They only offered a refund, not replacement tickets. After asking for a supervisor they gave me new tickets (seats were worse). I accepted, then called back because after thinking about it, what is stopping the new seller from having their tickets revoked. I did not want to send my teenage son to the door with tickets that seem to magically disappear for the app.
At this point didn't trust StubHub and feels like a total scam. And I have spent a total of 3 hours over the last week on the phone with them 70% of that on hold. I called back to ask for a refund, just don't want to deal with this company anymore. I was told no refund is possible and since I agreed to take the inferior seats there was nothing they could do. When I asked if they could give better seats for the inconvenience, they said NO. Then spoke to a supervisor who has zero customer service skills, she put me on hold for another 20-30 mins to review my previous customer service call to see if I agreed to the the new tickets. They should spend the time vetting the sellers, instead of listening to tape of previous customer service calls.
The supervisor refused to let me speak to her superior and gave me a snail mail address for complaints. So in this day and age of electronic everything (including tickets that appear and disappear) the only way to file a complaint at StubHub is: 199 Freemont Street, San Francisco, CA 94105. After spending 45 minutes on the phone I was only able to get 2/4 tickets. Today, the same thing happened with the other four tickets (except this time I was informed by email) and I was only able to receive another 2/4 tickets. After a 57 minute phone call I finally had 6/8 tickets but they were scattered throughout the arena (NOT what I purchased).
I called back yet again to ask where the other tickets were and why I hadn’t received them, only to be put on hold for 27 minutes (sidenote, this person sounded like they were at a live sporting event and I could hardly hear over the yelling/cheering. I bought two tickets for Elton John, in the 4th row. I paid over $1,000 each for these tickets. When I got to the venue, I was told they were fraudulent tickets, and had been resold over 8 times that they knew of. The woman at the venue wrote "VOID" over my barcode and said there was nothing she could do. She said it happens every day. People are buying tickets from the venue, and reselling tickets again and again, and the first person to the venue with those tickets is the only one to be admitted to the show. Wow! I'd purchased one ticket from StubHub in the past, and had not had that experience.
I called StubHub right away, and they said they were sorry, and told me "this only happens about once a day." ONLY?!? Now I wasn't going to get to see the show, which was a farewell tour that would never happen again. After 19 minutes on the phone with Nick, a manager, I was assured that I would have a full refund within 48 hours, after they conducted an investigation into the matter. I don't know what the investigation had to do with me, but there was nothing I could do.
I contacted StubHub after the 48 hours had passed and I hadn't received my refund. Another employee told me that I should have never have been promised my money back within 48 hours. What?!? He told me that their investigation was complete, and I would be receiving my money within 5 days. So, after 8 days, I received my refund. I wonder how much interest StubHub made on my $2,000? Also fishy is the fact that StubHub is the "official" partner of Ticketmaster now. They need to figure out how to sell tickets only once! Stay away from this company, and every other seller of 2nd hand tickets!

I purchased 2 tickets to a futbol game over 5 months in advance. I planned my vacation around this purchase. When purchasing the tickets it took less than a few minutes so I had no idea what a nightmare was coming. I received confirmation numbers and could look at my account and purchase at will. I was able to set up delivery to my hotel and thought all was good. Then was notified by mail 2 months out that I needed a stadium pass that they do not sell in order for the seller to ship my tickets and if I didn’t have this pass I would forfeit my tickets and money. I knew I didn’t need it and after many phone calls was told I was wrong that it was policy.
I purchased the stadium passes from a separate ticket agency located in the country I had them delivered to the hotel. Once I got these stadium passes someone from Stub Hub international contacted me said that I was right that I did not need the pass and refunded my money. So again I thought I was back on track. Next a few weeks out I received another email making sure my hotel address was good and for me to confirm with the hotel that they will accept the tickets. I did all this. 3 days before the event I get a standard email saying my tickets purchased were canceled and I was refunded. No explanation.
I call service rep who says they can’t do anything and the stub hub guarantees can’t be followed because they already canceled the order. After going round and round I speak to a manager. He informs me that the prices now have gone up and I can just repurchase tickets My take is the seller realized a few days away from the game they could get more for the tickets and pulled out. Again the guarantee doesn’t apply. Lol my favorite part is they gave me a credit for future purchase. Like that will happen. Stay away. Customer service was awful from start to finish. And the so called guarantee is a joke.

On February 12, 2019, I purchased tickets for the February 23rd show of Aladdin in San Diego as a Valentine's Day present for my wife. The seats were in the orchestra section and, after adding in the inflated service fee and delivery charges, cost about $150 each. I paid for and downloaded the tickets. Eleven days later, and about five hours before the show, I received an email from Stub Hub customer service telling me the tickets I had purchased were "unavailable." No explanation was given, and no telephone number was provided to call. Instead, the email stated I would receive a link to "even better seats" as part of Stub Hub's fan guarantee. I waited several hours but the promised email did not arrive. Each time I checked online using the access code I was given, I reached a message stating my replacement tickets were still not yet available.
After searching, I was able to locate a telephone number for Stub Hub customer service, which I called about two hours before the show. The customer service rep blamed the sellers of the tickets, claiming the sellers of both my original and replacement tickets had failed to deliver them. The customer service rep was unable to satisfactorily explain how tickets I had downloaded eleven days earlier were now "unavailable." All he could say was that it appeared the tickets had been sold to multiple purchasers. Since the replacement tickets I had been promised were also "unavailable" all Stub Hub could offer me (now less than two hours before the show) were less desirable seats in the balcony.
After conferring with my wife, we decided to cancel the order. I was told I would receive a refund within five days, but haven't seen it yet. I told the customer service rep that Stub Hub had ruined the romantic evening my wife and I had planned, and that I will never purchased tickets from Stub Hub again.

After spending 5 minutes sorting through this, I finally just told them that I was buying a ticket and got routed through to a rude "customer service" representative who simply hung up on me when he realized I wasn't buying a ticket and was quite angry about my whole StubHub experience. For this "service", I paid $80 in StubHub fees out of the total $300 cost of the tickets that I had ordered and that StubHub sent via UPS to the old address that I cannot change. The staff attempted to scan the tickets from 3 different scanners, and subsequently referred me to the Box Office for support. When I arrived at the Box Office I was told that they were unable to retrieve the ticket information from what Stub Hub provided via the app, (QR Codes instead of barcodes), and that according to their seating chart, the seats were already checked into. I called the customer services immediately, but they advised they could not cancel the order even though it was 5 minutes prior because the money is with the seller, it turns out this was a complete lie. This meant I had to pay the admin fees and I was forced to re-list my tickets, luckily enough I re-sold these tickets, as such I will never see the tickets as they changed the address on my original order to that of my new buyer...
The hugely disappointing fact is they are not transferring the money owed to me until 5 after the event. This means that they still have my money and also my buyer's money for 5 months, this is completely unjustified. I understand that the original person listing the tickets shouldn't be paid until the event to ensure validity of the tickets... But in my circumstance it is unacceptable for them to hold onto this money. The sheer arrogance of the company and inflexibility is truly shocking. I ordered tickets "Tickets" on StubHub. NOT ELECTRONIC TICKETS OR ELECTRONIC DOWNLOADS. I specifically always select TICKETS to be delivered by UPS. Well my 2 tickets arrived and they are black and white copies of a PDF 8.5 x 11 inch black and white copies of tickets. I contacted StubHub who informed me these tickets are valid. I told them I ordered tickets not a PDF to specifically avoid PDF type tickets. I told them their own website states "When selling tickets on StubHub, you need to deliver them to the buyer the same way they're received from the primary issuer." Last time I checked PDFs are not mailed to anyone!! I am holding black and white copies of PDF tickets of which I did not order.
The tickets that were delivered to me from the seller violates StubHub's own policy. I have made 4 calls to StubHub regarding this issue. Three of the people I spoke to said they would contact the seller & days have past and no one has spoken to the seller. During my third call StubHub asked me to email them pictures of my bogus tickets and they were going to escalate it to some other department for validation. No one has ever got back to me ever on this matter. On my 4th call I asked them what was the outcome of my concerns they had escalated? Well you guessed it. They told me my black and white copies of the PDF are valid!!! I told them my tickets are copies and nothing prevents the holder of the originals from entering the venue. They then tell me about their fan Guarantee!!! If I can't get in just call them and they will provide me with other tickets. The event is Sold Out!
I told StubHub, "Let's be proactive. I am calling you now to avoid a problem the day of the show at the venue." They said no I will get in with my copies. On the PDF it reads one entry per this bar code. I then simply asked them to return my money and I would purchase additional "tickets" on their site for this show. StubHub said no! Now friends the venue is a 3 and half hour drive from my home. What should be a fun event is nothing but a worry to me. I am holding two of four identical bar coded tickets. Who will the winner be that night. Rather than have a pleasant evening maybe grab some dinner before the show I feel like I have to be the first guy in line to guarantee I get in.
Remember I did not even order this type of ticket yet a Black and White PDF is what I received and StubHub said it's okay with them. They make up the rules as they go. They don't care if my ticket is valid or even a duplicate as it is. I want to resolve the issue and they don't. They don't care about their clients and I have used them for a number of years! I want to start by saying I have never written a negative review for any company, service, product, etc., and I’ve been trying very hard to hold back on writing one for StubHub. But, at this point I am BEYOND frustrated with their customer service. For more than a month now I have been going back and forth and back and forth over a $300 refund I am owed. On January 4, I was told that the refund was confirmed, and that I should expect to see it refunded to my PayPal account within 5 business days. More than a week passed and I still didn’t see anything in PayPal – and from there have been given the runaround for weeks. Every time I call, they “escalate” it and the person I finally land with tells me they can’t help me over the phone (including being able to provide me with a transaction number so that PayPal can help try to track it) and that I need to wait to speak with someone through email.
Then, every time I get an email it’s just a confirmation number of my refund and telling me it was processed on the 4th. No help whatsoever. Then, after weeks of going around and around and being told that perhaps it’s PayPal holding my funds (though, again they can’t provide me with a transaction number so that PayPal can check) today I get an email telling me that actually the money was NEVER refunded on their end and that they’re looking into it. I can’t help but wonder if this is a tactic by StubHub to avoid refunding a customer. Like, hoping that after me fighting this for so long that I’ll eventually give up. Worst customer service I have EVER experienced, hands down.

I've been in an ongoing battle with StubHub for the past 3 months with this company. In an attempt to make a long story short-ish; I sold 1 of my 4 NFL tickets through StubHub. The other 3 sold on Ticket Exchange, and the StubHub app wouldn't let me remove the listing. Within 30 seconds of selling on Ticket Exchange, I then received notice that it sold on StubHub. They had been sitting for days before this point, and ironically they sell on 2 sites within 30 seconds. Whether this happens to be a coincidence or not isn't for me to say.
I then called "Customer service" right away to tell them of my issue and that it's not possible for me to provide the tickets. I was then informed that there would be a 40% fee so they can replace the tickets with comparable ones. On the sale of these 3 tickets, I would've made a total of $364.50. StubHub in turn took that money to buy other tickets to replace mine (so no monetary loss to them). Even though I was told their policy is a 40% fee for not being able to provide the tickets, they in turn send me a charge in the amount of $413.85 in fees, and blocked the $121.50 that I would've made on the sale of my other ticket.
I tried numerous times to call and get any sort of information, but no one would give me straight answers. I requested to talk to anyone that could give me an answer of where these numbers are coming from, and the best I got was "someone might call you." I never received a call, only harassing emails about how they have not heard from me regarding the amount due, and they'll send me to collections if I don't pay. So after 6 calling attempts to find out any sort of information, I had to pay double what I would've made because they threatened to send me to collections if I didn't pay immediately. Meanwhile StubHub purchased replacement tickets with the new buyer's money, charges me more than 100% of the amount of my tickets, and blocks my payment on an actual sale! It was an unbelievably terrible experience, and a complete SCAM! This company should be regulated better or just SHUT DOWN!

The box office made an announcement that lots of fraud is happening with third party sellers. People sell the same tickets over and over again or tickets were not real from the beginning. If there was a true valid ticket and it was sold numerous times, the first person to arrive at concert will get in the venue when scanned. All others will show invalid for the seats. Our credit card company issued credit and now StubHub is disputing trying to charge it back to us.

This company should be party to a class action lawsuit in my opinion. Be VERY careful listing your tickets with them. We attempted to list our tickets and after the final step no tickets showed, so we re-entered them thinking they had not successfully listed. Apparently they had sold so fast that they didn’t show. Seeing nothing listed we relisted them. They sold again. We were held financially responsible for them and they charged us $600 extra! The system should alert you and say “Hey! These tickets already sold from this seller!” StubHub has a responsibility to design a system that protects sellers from this. The manager hung up on me. So frustrating. We will never use this company again.

Last week I got the urge to go to the Elton John concert literally just days before his Portland concert. StubHub was the only source I could find. Bought two pretty good tickets. When we arrived at the gate we were told the tickets had already been scanned and were no good. We were directed to the Ticketmaster ticket office where they confirmed the tickets had been already scanned. They gave us a toll free number to StubHub customer service. The service agent that answered our call took our information and then immediately passed us onto a fraud agent. He was able to confirm our tickets where invalid. He suggested we get back into line and he was going to forward us new tickets, which he did.
He then stayed on the phone with us until we had been scanned in and on our way to our seats... and the seats were awesome! Better than what we had paid for, and more money but I wasn’t charged any additional. I of course had to “visit” our original seats which was filled with some tweakers that looked a little worried when I told em the Stubhub cops where looking for the people the tried to defraud them and me and it was gonna cost someone the price of my upgraded seats. Thank you very much! Overall they did what was necessary to make sure we made it into the concert and had good seats... Thank you.

This was my first time trying to sell tickets on Stub Hub. I had priced my tickets at a certain amount. After editing the sale apparently I made an error. One of the three tickets sold for the mistaken price. I called to try and correct the error but they could not and told me I would be charged 40% or more in fees because of a mistake. So please DO NOT MAKE AN ERROR. YOU WILL BE CHARGED DOUBLE!!! They leave no room for error.

My first StubHub experience went terribly, inconceivably wrong. I decided to blow my annual entertainment budget on 3 Elton John concert tickets this a.m., StubHub confirmed the order so off I went on my merry way. Hours later, during my lunch break, I happen to check email and find these words in an email from you, "Hi **, We found an issue after receiving the following order from your account. For your protection, we've cancelled this order and temporarily locked your account. Please contact us and we'll help you fix this."
What? WHAT?!? I frantically dialed the customer service number, where I spend the next 50 minutes talking with three different agents trying to figure out the problem (I never was told). The first two agents played the "let's put her on hold for a very, VERY long time and just see if she'll go away." So I was forced to hang up and call you a total of THREE TIMES before finding someone who would actually provide me customer service. Throughout my lengthy hold times, I get a 2nd email saying this, "Hi **, Thank you for choosing StubHub. I apologize for any inconvenience in placing your order. Our system thought there was an issue with your account and, for your protection, prevented the transaction from completing. We have updated our system; however, you will need to place a new order."
PLACE A NEW ORDER?!? I'm sure you all can imagine how this went... I log in to StubHub and look at available tickets. The ones I bought this a.m. are no longer available and the next cheapest (if you can call these cheap) are conveniently $25 more PER TICKET. On top of that, the service charge has suspiciously gone from the $24 I paid this morning to $50.81 PER TICKET. And agent #3 is more than happy to help me get those purchased now that YOUR system no longer thinks there's an issue. Quite a financially advantageous "system issue" you've got going and some very deplorable business practices you're engaged in, StubHub.

Last fall, I took my gf to NYC to see a show. Bought the tickets through StubHub because it was sold out. Traveling from Baltimore, we went up for the weekend. Hotel, dinners, etc ran about $1,000. Tickets were another $400. Got to the show and our tickets wouldn't scan. The box office said they were apparently double sold, and that it happens a lot with StubHub. StubHub gave me a refund and a credit of 20%, but the show was sold out, so our weekend was wasted.
I used that 20% credit to buy her Justin Timberlake tickets for Christmas. Spent $800 on 2 seats. Went to the venue, had dinner, a few drinks, stood in the security line, and guess what? Yup. Tickets had already been scanned by someone else. Double sold AGAIN. Fortunately, the show was not sold out and I was able to purchase tickets at the box office. I got seats one section over for $150 per ticket. Lol. StubHub once again refunded my money and issued a 20% credit on top of it. This time however, I want my hotel paid for too. If anyone wants a 20% credit for StubHub tickets, call me. I'll sell it to you for half price, along with some swamp land in Florida. DON'T EVER USE THIS SITE, unless you want to hold your breath standing in the security line to your event. Fortunately for me, I made out the second time with better seats for much less money, plus a credit, but chances are it won't work out that way again.

Week of 1/1 we posted (4) United Club Chicago Bear Playoff tickets on StubHub for $450 a piece. Several days later, we never received any notification from StubHub on status of tickets and our listing disappeared. We unknowingly went to the game and thus were turned away since our tickets had been re-sold online via the "Barcode", rendering our actual paper tickets invalid. When I contacted StubHub, they denied any wrongdoing. Sariah from StubHub's Trust and safety team, explained our account was never hacked, and the listing for our tickets were taken down "one ticket at a time" and resold on Ticketmaster. She instructed me to deal with Ticketmaster direct, since they were the vendor whom sold the tickets and StubHub's hands were tied. I said I do not have an account with Ticketmaster and they would not be able to help.
She was unapologetic and irritated, and refused to give me the contact information of her supervisor. So I called Ticketmaster and surprise, surprise; they told me there was nothing they could do, given I posted my tickets on StubHub and StubHub should've notified me if the tickets were taken down. What is lost in all of this bureaucratic game of ping pong between two major companies, is we are out $2,000 did not get a chance to attend the game. We have already invested nearly 15 hours without a response or proper customer service handling. I am seeking legal action as I have exhausted all my alternatives of resolution. How can you post a ticket online, and be exposed to theft via your "barcode" without recourse? Does this not smack of a huge vulnerability in StubHub's security system?

When I called StubHub they refused to give a refund, didn't offer even partial refund or talk to supervisor. Unbelievable.

I purchased tickets to an event. I had no idea where I would or could park. I seen that StubHub was advertising for parking for event, didn't say 3rd party seller and said it was 0.05 miles from parking spot to event. I purchased tickets for a total of $24.95 + fees of $7.25 = $32.21. The ONLY INFO provided was that it was 0.05 miles to venue. I HAD TO PURCHASE IN ORDER TO GET PARKING DETAILS. Once I received details I noticed that it said SP+ parking operated lot. Further only allowing my vehicle to be parked from 5 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. So I went to SP+ parking site and find had I went directly to their purchase site that from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. (said daily parking 18 hrs) would have been only $11.25 + $5 into weekend and 24hrs would be $25 for 24hrs weekend rate.
I would have been better off not dealing with StubHub and searched for parking myself and or just went to the parking lot at 5 p.m. The Only option given was to resell as a seller but there would be no refund. Rep could not answer how someone is able to sell a spot that is in a paid public parking facility. She further stated that it is for profit and StubHub makes no money from the sale... It makes me sick. NO MORE BUSINESS FROM ME!

We had a very negative experience with StubHub. We purchased a very expensive ticket for the Premier League for my son and his 21st birthday. A dream present for him. When he got to the match, the seat was completely different to the one we purchased. StubHub admitted it was their mistake. And yet, despite their Fan Protect 100% guarantee, we had to fight for a month with them to get a fraction of the refund. Terrible service. Misleading advertising. I’d never use them again.

It showed Front Row courtside just as I was looking for. I viewed Row 2. It showed a 2nd row seat with seats in front of it. When we arrived at the venue we were seated behind another row listed as Row 1 with seats directly in front of us. We had 0 elevation and it was extremely hard to see. When I called StubHub they ramble and ramble and do nothing. What a waste of a company. I may dispute the charge but will reach out again to the senior leadership team. Such a fraudulent sale. They should be ashamed. Indiana Pacers and Bankers Life Fieldhouse was the venue. Proceed with caution.

STUBHUB IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER! DON'T DEAL WITH THEM! I tried to preorder Kelly Clarkson tickets and somehow got taken to the StubHub website. I accidentally purchased the tickets for Fresno which should of been for LA for over $200! I tried to get a refund for the mistake but StubHub refused to work with me or give me a refund. I opened up a complaint with my credit card company and they refused to give me a refund as well. Here is the thing StubHub refuses to give me my tickets until the day before the concert. Since Fresno is not close It is unacceptable that I get the tickets the night before. They are basically unusable. This is ridiculous. I paid for the tickets. Give me the tickets! This is such a rip off! Never do business with them. Their customer service says they want to help but they don't! It is all a scam! A VERY DISGRUNTLED CUSTOMER.

I was searching for seats at a Queen concert in July in Wash DC. Clicked on several seat locations back and forth, picked 4 in a good section, saw almost $700 in my cart, loaded my AmEx card info, hit OK and Voila, the site said, "Your Cirque du Soleil tickets are all mine!" Just a few problems here: I didn’t buy those tickets and the performance started in 45 minutes and I live 4 hours from DC. I feel these were dumped on me fraudulently. I called StubHub literally seconds after seeing this and they said tough luck, they wouldn’t help.
I use computers all day long and know this site flipped for some reason on me. Rep even asked if I had a screenshot of my cart before I clicked OK and of course I didn’t. Never thought that was needed on a reputable website or with a reputable company. The fact he even asked me this makes me believe this wasn’t the first time they have done this. It is in dispute now with American Express fraud folks. Stay away from this scam, because they will hide behind “Sorry we don’t own the tickets, we just sell them for others” (and dump them fraudulenty also on suckers like me).

When calling customer service, they said the seller should have left us voicemail about some "issue" with the tickets. Finally the day before the game they confirmed the “trusted” seller had received the returned tickets but was under no further obligation to give me the tickets I’d paid for. They didn’t have to remail, and I even offered to collect them but was refused. This is a complete scam - because of 1 mix-up at the hotel reception the seller can refuse to give me my tickets and Stubhub were no help at all. Attempts to resolve with customer service were useless as they were unwilling to reverse the fee nor even reduce the fee even though no transaction occurred on Stubhub. I was selling tickets to the SEC championship game on StubHub. While monitoring the prices I decided to lower the price of my tickets. It's simple, you go to your account. Lower the price of the tickets and re-post. Within a period of minutes, the time it took me to log into the site and re-post the original tickets sold and the re-posted tickets sold. They are telling me their system doesn't track the sell of seats and that I am responsible for the double sell of the same seats. The facts as I see them: They do track sells because I was sent an email that indicated an error had occurred. They will not let you speak with anyone. I requested to speak with someone multiple times. They will not tell how much they paid for the replacement tickets or why wasn't the buyer notified that they seats had been sold and purchase other seats on the site.
They want to scam me out of $1895.00. I know the seats around my section were going for $640 to $675 per seat. So for the four seats that were sold twice the buyer paid around $2500.00. StubHub took their $2500.00 plus they charged my American Express $1895.00. So, they got around $4400.00 for the tickets. Does anyone else think that is wrong. I still contend that there is a glitch in the system?

Show was dated on Dec. 12, 2018.
