Stubhub has policies in place that will harm both seller and buyer. Please beware because if you have an issue their customer service will not help, that's if you can reach them through their "3 hour wait time" which exists all the time. Joke of a company.

I had a horrible experience with Stubhub's customer service. I would be very wary of buying anything from Stubhub if you think there's even a remote possibility that you'll have to engage their customer service team to resolve any issue. I'd purchased tickets for a show for $650 back before the pandemic, and when the pandemic caused the show to be cancelled, Stubhub came out with a promotion to allow you to either get a full refund or take a credit of 120%. I decided to take the 120% so that I could do fun outdoors activities with my kids (120% of $650 is a lot of money!). The emails they sent out gave instructions on how to accept the offer, but when I logged in those options weren't available to me. So, I called Customer Service...

Several attempts to call failed because I didn't have the time to wait on the long holds (wasn't expecting to wait more than 15min), so I went digging for a customer service email option or even a virtual chat....nothing.... Finally, when an email came out saying the end of the promotion was a few days away, I decided to find a couple hours and just do the hold game. Sure enough, after being on hold for 54min, I finally spoke to a human being. She was perfectly nice, but she told me she couldn't resolve the issue and that she'd need to pass my case on to the technical team. When I hadn't heard anything in a couple days, I called back, but again the wait times on hold were too long and I didn't get through. Finally, I ended up getting an email saying my money was being refunded, so I called and sat on hold again, until I finally got through to someone.

I then spent longer on the phone with a CS agent who literally kept repeating the same words over and over indicating that the promotion was over (despite my attempts to take advantage of the promotion before it ended) and that they would not honor it. I politely asked to speak with a supervisor after she said she couldn't help me, but she placed me on hold for another several minutes and came back and said there were no supervisors available due to the high volume of calls. I spoke with her more (very politely)...kind of to see how long I could get her to talk to me....

It was a game for me at that point since I was never going to get to take advantage of this promotion. I kind of enjoyed just being very polite and seeing if I could get her to see it from my perspective, but she kept reading from a script or something that said "the promotion is over". Eventually, I asked to speak to a supervisor again, and she said "okay" and put me on hold....I was on hold for 15 more minutes, and then they hung up on me.

In all, I estimate I spent about 4 hours trying to resolve this issue, but had no luck despite my very reasonable request and situation. I always believe, having a calm demeanor, showing people on the other end of the phone respect, and being polite is the best way to handle these types of situations, but in this case....with Stubhub, there is no hope of good customer service.

I was supposed to get my $800 tickets to the Mets game on Friday May 7 for a game on Saturday May 8 in order to celebrate Mother's Day with my family. This was the time clearly stated on the website when I bought the tickets. By 11am on Saturday, I still had not received the tickets. I called but they kept me on hold for over an hour. By the time they finally picked up, the tickets arrived in my email. This was at 12pm for a 7pm game. This would normally be fine except that you have to get a Covid test in order to be allowed into the stadium. This did not leave my family enough time to get the Covid tests and make it to the stadium. Their terms + conditions clearly state that the seller needs to deliver the tickets by the time stated they would be available.

Now I am stuck with $800 tickets unless I can quickly get these rapid tests. The customer service agent kept changing her story and saying that as long as they arrive by 10am, they cannot issue a refund. I explained to her that they arrived at 12:07pm EST and she was looking at PST time. Then she changed her story to say that if I had called BEFORE the tickets had been delivered, they would have issued a refund. But I told her that they were the ones that did not pick up the phones. It was honestly beyond upsetting. I will never use them again.

I would definitely put zero stars if possible. My husband and I were completely scammed by Stubhub. We purchased 2 Dodger tickets and a parking ticket through them. Only ONE said parking pass only. The other 2 specified lot and row for “seats” and nowhere did it say it was a parking pass. All it said was “seats will be shown after checkout”. Of course After checking out They sent 3 parking passes. After hours on the phone with “The highest manager in customer service” Which had absolutely no manners, the worst attitude, and she didn’t even apologize. Just kept going on and on and on with the same excuse saying over and over saying why they couldn’t issue a refund. Her exact words were “I can try to have this case relooked but to be honest it’ll be the same outcome.” Stubhub never refunded us, nor did she do anything further. We of course will NEVER buy from Stubhub again and as a consumer will not recommend to ANYONE who wants decent customer service.

I purchased 4 tickets to Hamilton. It cost 1,843.15. The tickets were for August 15, 2021. The event was rescheduled for February 2023. I was told that if I were unable to go that I could sell my tickets and they would waive the fee. However, I will not receive my money until AFTER the performance. I will have to wait two years to get my money back. I bought the tickets for my 8 year old daughter because she is obsessed with Hamilton. I have no idea if she will still like it in 2 years. I bought tickets for her grandparents so they could see her at her first show. I don't even know if they will be able to attend a show in two years since they are elderly. I called and spoke with a customer service at Stubhub on April 6, 2021. She said they would not refund my money. I reminded her that the website claims that the tickets are 100% guaranteed. She said that only applies if the event is cancelled.

In a million years I never thought that the show would be rescheduled two years later. That is absurd. I bought the tickets March 24, 2021. I understand that we are in a pandemic, but nothing has changed in the few weeks since I bought the tickets. There is no reason that the show should be rescheduled. I strongly feel that StubHub should reimburse me the money and resell the tickets to someone who wants to go to a show in February 2023. I hope someone brings a class action suit against Stubhub. I can't be the only person who is upset at having to wait two years to get their money refunded.

I purchased approx $1,200 worth of Twins Tickets on StubHub on 3/12/21. They sold them with a label indicating it would be limited capacity due to Covid etc, which I knew about because our local news outlets had already mentioned Twins would allow limited fans. So this all added up, and I paid a lot for tickets which I assumed was due to limited capacity. Then, several days later I received a notice my event has been cancelled, and I would not get a refund, but rather a 'credit'. But I don't want a credit, I only wanted the Twins Tickets for those specific 2 games. So I called MN Twins Ticket sales to find out why they are cancelled. They said they aren't cancelled, the games are happening, but StubHub was selling these unauthorized because the Twins have to decide which seats to allow due to Covid.

I talked to the Exec Resolution person and she was steadfast in her approach that I would NOT get a refund and I would have a credit. They can keep it, I'll never use them again, I'll have to buy my tickets direct from Twins Tickets and try to recover my fund through legal means. They used their 'cancel' policy on me when the truth is, they sold fraudulent tickets and are taking no accountability for that. I have contacted a lawyer, filed with the BBB and writing a review here. Also, they are STILL selling these tickets right now, even though they know they are fraud. Unbelievable and gross. They are consumer bullies. Trying to stand up to them!

"Every order is 100% guaranteed"- Except if you ask for a refund on an event that HAS YET to happen, don't count on your order being guaranteed, a refund will Not be issued. I purchased tickets with them May of 2020 for a concert in September 2020, not knowing the world would shut down because of COVID19. The event never happened (of course understandably) and I've contacted them several times for a refund, and they refuse to give me one. They tell me to just wait. Wait for what? For the event to be scheduled for another day that I possibly won't even be able to attend??? I purchased these tickets for THAT day, THAT location, not anything else.

StubHub should be issuing refunds to people for events that were cancelled/are getting cancelled due to COVID19. Not to mention the fact I doubt I will even feel comfortable attending the event (due to health reasons) now after the COVID19 pandemic. I will never ever ever EVER do business with Stubhub again for their lack of understanding towards their customers. People have lost their jobs, are struggling to feed their family, or make ends meet- and do you get money back for an event that DIDNT happen? NOPE! Not with Stubhub! I think this is the most terrible business practice I’ve heard of. So the buyer gets the tickets in hand and is charged for those tickets and has paid for those tickets while the seller gets zero benefit. I bought 2 tickets then found better ones so sold my original tickets so I wouldn’t be on the hook for over $1400.00 total. My event isn’t until September. So buyer gets tickets, y’all get paid but you hold off paying me until AFTER the event. Very shady. Now I have to pay all the tickets off on my credit card.

Also when I set up to sale I got about $200 less than what I paid. I set the ticket amount but I guess your company took the extra $200 as a fee when y’all basically do nothing. The buyer and seller search for the tickets, y’all are just the middle man and a pitiful excuse for one at that. In the future I will sell on my own. The reason I even used you is because my parents and my uncle buy tickets from you guys to almost every Maverick, Stars and concerts. I have told them about this and they were in shock and will not be using your services anymore. Believe me I’m going to make sure everyone knows how you practice business and don’t mind releasing tickets to seller and taking your cut while if you are a seller you get totally screwed over. I’m so glad we have social media to alert others in our community about bad business so others don’t get burned too!!!

Seems to be a trend here as far as reviews go but it need to be understood what StubHub did to their customers. They offered a 100% cash back policy in case event is cancelled. They then changed their policy AFTER the sale to a 120% credit for a future purchase. This is Illegal in every state in the USA. The hard part is getting StubHub to follow the law. They have a “FANPROTECT” policy that is burying them in with all the Attorney Generals currently negotiating with them. Poor Stubhub is actually being forced to follow their own policy And adhere to the laws we all live under. It’s crazy I know.

I would also like to call out the former StubHub President Sukhinder Singh Cassidy for stealing money from every woman in the country that is currently struggling through a pandemic and unable to pay their own bills while she got a golden parachute to retire early on the backs of consumers that got no refund. I also hope that Karma comes around and teaches that her a little bit about morality.

I purchased $1700 dollars worth of Billie Eilish tickets I cannot use and have a 120% credit that expires on in 8 months and I have chronic disease. Thanks for nothing Stubhub. Needless to say, holding the bag for more than $350 of useless tickets is an expensive lesson. Undoubtedly, this was a rare event, but an instructive one about StubHub’s lack of commitment to customer service.

They say I can resell it to make my money back(and they can make more money off the ticket, greedy bastards) but who in their right mind would pay $200 for a ticket that is all over ticket master for $75? I bought tickets to Country Thunder 2020 last Christmas. It was to be held in March. Then it was moved to October because of Covid. I could not attend so I listed my tix for 50% what I paid on StubHub. They do not pay the seller until the event is held. So the event was cancelled for 2020, and tickets are now good for 2021. Before I had a chance to remove my listing someone wanted them for October, I obviously cannot provide tix for October 2020 since the event isn’t happening this year.

So I clicked on the only reasonable option - I cannot provide the tickets. StubHub turned around and charged me $240 from my checking acct. When I called them and explained there isn’t an event this year they said I should have sold the tix anyways and they would have refunded or given a “coupon” to the buyer later... Meanwhile I would not have been paid until some event that person got tickets for actually ever occurred. They agreed it was bad logic but said too bad basically. I had a fit after 37 minutes on the phone and they promised to call me back within 48 hours. Which they didn’t. They called three days later, a Sunday night at 8:30 to be exact to again say too bad! They are raping people of tickets and fees for events not happening. Absolutely crazy!!!

I purchased Rufus du Sol tickets, due to covid the concert was postponed and later cancelled. Upon my purchase and notice of postponement all communications indicated that if a concert was cancelled you could accept a full refund or a voucher of 120% of the ticket price. They changed that when my concert was canceled- I now have neither a refund nor a voucher (which I probably wouldn't use since it expires next year and who knows what is going to happen.) I disputed the charge and they told the bank they gave me a voucher which they didn't. Bottom line, I don't go to concerts often, I wanted to see this group and I should be issued a refund since I paid for a service that didn't happen. That's just business ethics - I guess I will be coming out of this in debt of my purchase but if I can discourage anyone from future purchases, I hope this is helpful. MLB cancelled the games end of May. StubHub wouldn't cancel the tickets until July. I was then told I couldn't get the refund for another 120 days. I contacted the Oregon DOJ who commenced to open an investigation. Long story short it is 2 weeks before this becomes a year old. StubHub graciously decides to refund half of the full price of the tickets. After 4 phone calls to Stuhub they still claim they refunded the whole amount. I then filed a dispute with my credit card company. Then as if by magic StubHub decided to credit me the other half that still owed me. 2 weeks short of a year StubHub sat on, and I'm sure reinvested my $1,150.00. I'm now going to pursue a money laundering charge against these crooks.

Original Review: I purchased 4 MLB Giants tickets December 5, 2019 totaling $1,155.50. The games were for June 27, and 28 2020. I have called 8 times for a refund. StubHub says the MLB has not canceled the games. The Giants ticket office sent me in writing the games were cancelled and all tickets have been refunded. StubHub is lying in an attempt to keep my money while also taking the Giants refund from the original buyer. StubHub is a scam.

This whole experience has been a mess. I will never use them again. First, I bought two tickets for a concert. I had a buddy say he wants to go less than 12 hours later and I wanted to add two more tickets... They would not let me exchange for 4 tickets next to each other (with still buying the extra tickets if course.) Not crazy but a pretty big pain considering my payment hasn't even been processed for the first two tickets yet.

It gets worse. My concert I bought tickets in Jan, that is supposed to play in August that year. Gets pushed back to July the year after. This concern was with my dad as a last hooray before I moved out of the state. (I live an hour or so from my parents now and thought I'd be fun.) Because the concert was rescheduled a year away but not cancelled, they did not refund my tickets. That's cool, I only wanted a credit for my tickets so I could go to a different concert instead. Nope. Not that either. I'm stuck with my tickets and my only option is to sell them on their website if I want to no longer go! Their guarantee says that if the artist does not play, you'll get a credit or refund for the ticket, which is why I used this website. The fine print says that "not playing" does not extend to any concert rescheduled, no matter how far away.

When talking to customer service, they tried to make me feel better by telling me a story about how they refused a credit for someone that bought Adel tickets whose concert was rescheduled two years out, and I shouldn't feel bad because mine was only one year away. Also, I don't expect much with customer service, but I was on hold for 30 min, to be told the manager I needed to speak with will call me back within 48 hours. Would have been nice to fix the problem after being on hold or just out my number queue from the start and not be sitting there. Whole thing has been a nightmare. I'd never use this company again.

Stubhub changed their policy in the middle of the Covid19 pandemic in order to hold on to consumers money during Covid19 after many events were CANCELED. I knew legally that I purchased my tickets under the old policy and rightfully deserved a REFUND for the event cancellation I had purchased, rather than the 120% “credit” voucher they said they would automatically place on my account to use later.

After hours and hours of being on hold waiting to speak to a customer care desk to request my money back, I was informed it was correct I was eligible for a refund, BUT it would take over 120 days to process. Stubhub will keep my money for well over five months from when the event was formally canceled by the venue and MLB. This was a very questionable practice on the part of Stubhub, consumers were not told and no disclosure given that a consumer had an option of refund verses 120% credit. I've requested my money back, but won’t get it until September or October 2020 for an event that was canceled in April 2020.

When you buy tickets from the undisclosed bands “fan club”, they don’t send them to you until usually about two weeks before the show dates, so when they are listed, the tickets are not in hand. If you are a seller on Stubhub they make you provide them your bank account number and a credit card number, which I can understand just in case somebody sells them bogus tickets.

In early May 2020 the band decided they were going to reschedule the summer 2020 tour due to the corona virus and replace with the same dates in 2021. They gave the buyers the option of keeping the tickets to use them the following year or take a full refund as long as they requested it before June 3, 2020. Just the way it should be. I would NEVER want to tie up my money and hold on to tickets for 14-16 months for any reason, not to mention the possibility of the same thing happening all over again if they don’t have a cure for the virus the next year.

I called StubHub and explained that I no longer wanted to sell the tickets because I had to wait such a long time to get my money back and that the band offered to give me my money back as long as I let them know before June 3. 2020. The Stubhub representative told me they would not allow me to cancel the sale even if the buyers agreed to cancel and if I did not supply them the tickets they would charge me the full amount of the sales price onto my credit card and there was nothing I could do about it. Because of heart disease and cancer, and the risk of Covid, we cannot travel in the foreseeable future. It is common knowledge the MLB season has been postponed, and IF they begin again, fans will not be present. I requested a refund 3/18, and again 5/11. StubHub refused a refund until MLB announces the season is Cancelled, even in a pandemic. This practice is unscrupulous, disreputable, and just plain bad business practice.

If it were possible, I would rate StubHub with zero stars: In either late February or very early March 2020 I purchased a ticket for an event in mid-March that was about 60+ miles away; that event was canceled (not rescheduled, canceled) due to the pandemic. The cost of the ticket was approx 3X its face value, that should have been my first clue. Shortly after the concert was canceled by the venue because of the pandemic (never rescheduled, it was canceled entirely) StubHub sent an email saying that depending on my choice they would either refund the money because of the virus cancellation (the ticket now being utterly worthless because of the cancellation; again, not rescheduled, canceled) or offer a 120% credit towards another purchase from them; they said to please be patient and wait for them to contact me by email within two to three weeks and I would then be able to make my choice.

Two weeks later I received an email from them stating that they had changed their policy and were only going to issue their 120% credit, that they had decided that they would not be giving any refunds. After that, nothing. After the full three weeks had passed I tried five different times to contact them and received no response. I asked PayPal to help get my money back but they ruled that because the ticket ("product" was the term they used) was delivered, they were denying my claim, i.e. siding with StubHub.

Two lessons for me: First, never again will I purchase anything from StubHub because they reneged on a promise in the middle of their requested waiting period, plus, their prices are three times what I would have paid if I had just gone ahead and driven the 120 mile round-trip and purchased my ticket at the box office. My bad, but never again. StubHub is now on my list of shunned businesses because all I received for paying three times the actual admission price was an unusable ticket and broken promises. In other words, I paid full price for a service that I never received because of an "Act of God," while they get to break their commitment and still keep all the money; the only loss is to the customer, all of the gain is theirs to keep.

Learn from my poor judgement and save your money. I strongly recommend that you deal directly with the box office, or have a trusted friend do it for you; in my opinion you could pay the friend the same excess and get better service than you would from StubHub. Secondly, although PayPal is an honest company, think twice before using them to purchase concert tickets because apparently once you have the ticket, no matter what "Act of God" occurs, they are not going to help you get your money back from the seller even if that seller reneges on their own guarantee.

The difference is, I'm disappointed with PayPal and will from now on severely limit my use of them for any credit purchases now that I'm aware of their limitations; StubHub I will never use again; it is my understanding that the concert venue has taken steps to make sure that online purchasers are not automatically sent to StubHub as I was by the venue's software for any ticket purchasers to any of their events in the future. PayPal I will continue to use as a last resort for credit purchases; StubHub is on my personal "banned" list, and I will be telling anyone who will listen to avoid dealing with them. You really don't want that company anywhere near your wallet.

I have contacted this company numerous times. They refuse to refund money when they can go back and get money from seller. After doing their middle man work, they take care of their sellers, and stick it to their buyers. Many people are having trouble getting money refunded if the event is listed as postponed. On Riverdance site, they will not tour until next year. Buyers beware. Don’t deal with this company. Even on canceled events they don’t want to dish out cash but keep pushing a credit for buyers.

I purchased two tickets for a Kaskade concert in the earlier part of March. The concert is for April 4th 2020. All the sudden this covid 19 situation arises where they won’t allow get togethers larger than 50 people. I call because I want to cancel my tickets because who knows how long we will have to refrain from any types of events like this. This is where you begin to feel hopeless. It turns out the concert will be rescheduled for August 2020. According to their policy there will be no refunds unless the concert was cancelled. Yet we’re having a pandemic and StubHub isn’t willing to accommodate the stay at home order issued by the government. I am terrified and scared that my girlfriends lives will be at risk regardless of when the concert will be rescheduled.

I work in a hospital and am in high risk of spreading something to someone if I decide to not refrain from going out especially to a concert. I still don’t understand how this is not a valid reason for a refund. Currently I am only going to work and back. The only way I can get a refund is if I resell them on their website. On top of that, I won’t even get all my money back because stubhub charges a reselling fee. How can I now sell tickets when no one wants to go out or are even allowed to attend events? I feel trapped with no options. I don’t want to be a part of possibly spreading this virus. I’m uncomfortable knowing that they are able to process refunds but are ultimately deciding not to.

Even after talking to a representative and two supervisors they are making it seem impossible to help me. From the moment you purchase your tickets, you're trapped! You have absolutely no control over anything afterwards. No control over who is sending the tickets. No control over getting money back. No control over postponed events that could take a year! No control on price gouging when purchasing tickets. I’ve seen so many reviews of first time buyers getting taken advantage of in the same way. Please think twice before ordering tickets from this site.

Individual businesses and entire industries (for example, the airline industry) have made adjustments to accommodate consumers. But not StubHub. I called them and asked for a refund. They said the show wasn't canceled just postponed. They said if the show is postponed I have the choice of either selling the tickets or since I live in Nashville once the date is set I could possibly get a refund. I explained I had no tickets and no show. Well the very next day I get an email from them saying the tickets were sent. But I never got the tickets. Called them again. They said they would check into it because they sent the money to the seller. So now I have no tickets and no money. Looking at Alan's website, he's rescheduled his fall and there is no plan to stop in Nashville.

I received an email from the claims dept that said the seller will send the tickets when the date is re set. WTF. This is a perpetual postponement. So that person is sitting good. What kind of business model says you give the money and never see the product. I contacted the Ryman and all I got was an email saying they were trying to reschedule the show. Pat answer I'm sure. It's not that hard to look at Alan's tour online and see he's doing Atlanta and couple other spots then heading to Europe. I've been in the business, worked tours, and booked dates for myself as well as others with agents. I know this is stalling because they don't want to return any money. Lesson learned. I tried several times to ask StubHub about being able to return tickets for March 10 event. I was told only choice I had was to sell online. I set up payment to PayPal. The tickets sold March 9 at quite a loss after all the fees were deducted. I was told I would receive $95 5 days after the event. On March 13, I received an email saying I had failed to set up payment source. So I went to my dashboard and there was PayPal all set up correctly (I use PayPal in my business on a daily basis).

I resubmitted and asked to be told if all was well. On March 16, I received another email stating I had failed to confirm a payment option. Once again I went to site. This time I added another payment option. I chatted with StubHub rep who told me they were having problems with PayPal. But they would resubmit and I'd receive money immediately. This morning still no money and this time a rep told me it would be another 8 days before I saw any money because they had no way to resubmit for payment on the same day. Ironically, on March 11, all spring training games were cancelled and we would have received a full refund.

I purchased tickets to several Cubs Spring Training games through Stubhub in December. On one purchase, there was no notification that the tickets would be sent to my home - I didn't find this out until AFTER the purchase. However, since spring training is in AZ, we would not be home when the tickets arrived. Stubhub CS said I had to wait several months to try to address the issue. I called them back after about a month and they reached out to the seller. After a LOT of going back and forth, the tickets were to be shipped to a FedEx location near the hotel. Right before we were to leave for vacation, I was informed that the tickets would be mobile instead (I was happy about this so it all worked out in the end, but the STRESS of not knowing where the tickets would end up was not worth the purchase!).

On the second set of tickets, I was informed that they would be delivered on March 2nd - the ballgame is on March 3rd. I contacted Stubhub to let them know I didn't have the tickets yet, they said the seller had until March 2nd to deliver them. I called them again on March 2nd after midnight as the tickets never arrived. Now, Stubhub tells me the seller had until 10a to deliver the tickets! They NEVER said that to me before! We were to leave for the game between 10:30a-11:00a. Well, 10a came and went and no tickets arrived. I contacted Stubhub AGAIN....they said they will see what they could do. However, the night before, they texted me..."we are watching these tickets like a hawk"....yeah, I guess the hawk left the building.

Finally, at 12:09p local time, an email arrived with a link to replacement tickets, along with billing information on the bottom. Stubhub said I wasn't to be billed for these replacement tickets. We drove to the game just in time to see the start of the game (I'm disabled so "moving fast" is not an option). Now, today 3/10 I contacted Stubhub to confer about the billing at the end of the email and was told to ignore it as it's to show what the ticket price is, but not that I'm being billed for it. Yet, on the email it literally states "The price may reflect the face value, not the price you paid"...and it shows BILLING INFO, lists the pricing and order fees, along with total AND payment info (i.e. Paypal). I discussed this with Stubhub via chat and when the CS thought I had a full understanding, she disconnected the chat with me even though I had a few more questions. I will NOT do business with Stubhub in the future! This was a HUGE, STRESSFUL MESS!!!

I listed 4 tickets for a concert on Stubhub, and selected the option "sell all, just don't leave me with one", meaning you can sell them in pairs, 3/1, or all 4 together, but don't leave me any. Two nights before the event, StubHub notified me that they had sold 1 ticket. I telephoned them to say that I had not selected that I would sell 1, and was told that they had sold 1, and I had 3 left. Given that my selection of "don't leave me one" meant that no one could buy a pair (because that would me one), then I was left in the situation where I could only sell 3, which is an odd number to sell for an event. I explained to the supervisor that this really left me in a predicament and that I had not signed up to sell one ticket, to which she offered no solution.

The next day, I decided I was fighting a losing battle, so I transferred the one ticket to the Buyer. That night, I received an email from StubHub saying they had cancelled the sale. And they had charged my credit card $165 for doing so! So once again, I telephoned customer service, endured another long wait for an individual, and inquired about why they had done this. The agent agreed to credit me for the $165 charge, but said I would have to wait 6-12 hours for the customer to return the ticket to me. The concert began in approximately 22 hours at this point! StubHub's customer service was not only horrible, but the outcome cost me many hundreds of dollars. There are other sites that are reputable - stay away from this one!

Ordered tickets to a Broadway theatre production and specific seats were indicated when purchasing. However, when I got to the venue, the seats on my tickets were nowhere near the area indicated previously. I ended up at the very back of the theater section, instead of about 2/3 of the way back as shown on the seating map. My indicated seating also was more centered in the theater and I ended up far to one side instead. I contacted customer service and they only offered to refund part of my ticket fee, which pretty insignificant, considering the price I paid was for significantly better seating. The inferior, lower value seating location seriously affected my enjoyment of the play and I will never use StubHub again.

StubHub is a reliable secondary market for tickets to all events. The descriptions of the tickets are accurate, delivery of tickets is as advertised and the prices are often lower than other secondary market sites. As far as selling tickets on Stubhub, the process is very simple and dependable. Tickets are listed and when sold the money is deposited into the account the seller has set up through the website. I have been very satisfied with Stubhub over the years and they are always my first choice when searching for concert or sporting event tickets.

They didn't know why it happened but would be in touch 24/48 hours So 72 hrs later I call again and sent to voicemail. Later I receive an email stating they were going to refund me but the amount was 40 dollars less than the cost.

I again called asking to receive a call back instead another email stating as a "courtesy" they will refund the full amount. UNBELIEVABLE... Not only did their failure to perform ruin her first concert causing her to MISS 45 MINS of the show and instead of premium seats stuck with the worst seats in the arena They couldn't take a moment to call as they promised then had the Gall to say as a courtesy they will refund the full purchase price. I would rather have 5 mins with the idiot in a room as a courtesy and they can keep the hundreds they charged.

I can tell you as a business owner when a snafu such as this were to happen I would certainly have made things whole for my customer. Especially given the fact that it caused the young lady to miss 1/3 of the show and had to pay full price twice for really bs level seats when she had premium floor seats to start. Upon arrival at the arena I’d realized I only received one ticket & the other the other seller had not yet released, so customer service at the arena told me to contact StubHub since I’d purchased the ticket through a 3rd party. So I get them on the phone the representative & myself go back & forth trying to get it resolved for over 40 minutes, he was unable to get me the second ticket because apparently I should have never even been able to purchase 2 tickets because the seats I wanted were only to be sold as a set of 3, so after standing in the lobby while missing the first period & intermission he told me he issued me a refund & some form of a credit towards my next purchase with them, which will NEVER happen.

Fast forward 3 days later. I check my bank account to see if it’s processed or pending to find no sight of anything. So naturally I contact customer service again to have a completely different conversation & told by this representative that I can not & will not be issued a refund, after going back & forth for another 35 minutes & that I’m personally at fault for the inconvenience. I did not attend the game because I never received my second ticket even spent $24 on parking. Even drove an hour out of my way to get to the arena, to be lied to by a rep that I was going to receive a refund for my purchase, & then call back 2 days later to be told I will not receive a refund and am personally at fault. They stated the tickets were not sellable on their site, but a third party could be used. I have a Stubhub account, so contacted them for their assistance. Miles assisted in getting the two tickets transferred from Ticketmaster to Stubhub and stuck with us the entire way until they appeared on the Stubhub site. Bought and paid for 3 tickets to Hamilton musical in SF. I was told to wait for tickets' delivery information 2 day prior to the show. We were looking forward to the show on our vacation but three days before the show date, I received an email from Stubhub saying that they’re unable to deliver the tickets I ordered. I was very disappointed; I didn’t realize that the purchase was not guaranteed.

Why would Stubhub charge my credit card and held on to the money if the tickets were not yet available? I think they should make it clear at the point of sale that the tickets are not guaranteed so that the customer can decide if they want to take the risk. Also, they should informed me as soon as they realized they can’t deliver the tickets so that I can make alternative plans. They did issue a full refund but only after I called in to ask the reason for the delay. Stubhub didn’t include their customer service contact information in their email or on website help center. I had to googled for their phone number. I have to say I was a little nervous at first if I could get my refund. All in all not a very good experience!

They said they recommended a price based on what they said were documented “sales” on their site. Tickets sold in less than 1 minute. I bought four tickets to Dane Cook together. They sent four tickets seated together seats 8,9,10,11. Seats 9 and 11 were for a show that was 2 months earlier. I didn’t notice this until an hour prior to the show. I made a call and after 45 minutes spent on the phone they promised they would email me the correct tickets within 15 minutes. It’s now showtime and I’m still standing outside the gates in the cold. I sent my parents into the show and my wife and I waited for the tickets.

We both called and spoke to two different people. The one my wife spoke with said she was cancelling all tickets and refunding them bc it was sold out and there was nothing she could do. The person I was talking with said they were working on it and trying to fix the problem and get me the tickets. I made them wait on the phone until I had the tickets in my email.

Overall, this took almost two hours on the phone! I missed both opening acts and 10 minutes of Dane Cook. I waited a few days to let it settle and I still was not happy so I called to talk to stubhub customer service. Customer service was less than helpful. Eventually after talking to a manager I received a refund on my stubhub fees and shipping but it still didn’t feel right (43 minute call itself). After all of this I would recommend going through another vendor. The fees are super high and the quality assurance is just not there.

A side note is that the automated call back system that “guarantees you don’t lose your spot in line” is BS. I put my number in and waited the 17 minutes + and extra 10, then made the call back. I waited the 20 minutes and then talked to an agent. I did receive the callback but it was more like 55 minutes later and I definitely had lost my spot in line. So if your in a hurry to get in somewhere DO NOT use the callback system.

I often get mixed up on row and sections so I asked the two guys in our seats if they could show us their tickets because I thought they may be in our seats. They showed me their tickets and they were my exact tickets I had on my phone from StubHub. They just had the actual physical copy. All of us were baffled. Luckily they were bench seats so the two gentleman and people next to them were super good about it and we all squished together.

I will say StubHub did say they performed an investigation after I told them about it but said they couldnt reimburse because the ticket numbers never showed as being scanned more than once. Well I found one of the guys on Facebook and asked him if they were able to get in the venue fine with their tickets and they said they had some sort of field pass to get in the field before the game started so they used that to get in and then they thought they'd have to scan their tickets later but never did since they were already inside. So in StubHub's defense I think they tried to get to the bottom of it but it comes down to the fact I had bought some expensive tickets and didnt have a seat. And if those guys wouldnt have used their field passes we probably wouldnt have been able to get in the game at all.

Regular GA was $50, and "Pit GA" was $150. When I was purchasing the tickets at $150/each, I assumed it was for the Pit, and apparently they just jacked up the price to make it look like they were. So I lost $200 for no reason. I questioned them, they said there was nothing they could do except waive fees if I resold them.

Then, the same show was rescheduled due to flooding (I'm in Houston). ALL other vendors who sold tickets to the show honored refunds if you were unable to make the reschedule date. I contacted chat support after noticing my ticket and fee prices constantly fluctuating. The agent lied and told me the seller changed the price plus or minus 2 to 3 dollars 12 times in a matter of minutes, all with coincidental fee price changes that matched the ticket price changes. The company shifts a few dollars from the ticket prices or fees to try and make it seem like the buyer is getting a better deal but it's just the placement of the charge.

I asked the agent about my 30% fee and she told me that the company doesn't charge that much, it only charges 10 to 15. I told her that's what's in my cart right now and she called me a liar. I told her again that's what's in my cart and she called me a liar again. I asked if I bought the tickets right now and if I was charged more than 15% if she would refund me the difference. The idiot told me she can't give me a refund because I hadn't bought them yet. I repeated that I can click pay right now at this very second. But if I do will she refund me. She told me no because the company doesn't charge more than 15% and because she can't refund me if I haven't bought it yet. What a total idiot! She proceeded to disconnect the chat.

I reconnected with someone else and sent the previous transcript. That agent told me that the previous one was wrong and the fee can be more than 15%. She refused to actually address her colleague calling me a liar over this matter. The second agent told me that had I clicked pay with the first agent she would have refunded me the difference between 30 and 15%. I explained that I told the first agent I am ready to pay but she disconnected me. The second agent informed me that because the first agent disconnected me before I hit pay and because I had to reconnect a second time to get an answer, that now I know the first agent was wrong and I will not get a refund.

I asked why it is fair to punish me for the first agent's lack of professionalism with disconnecting me after calling me a liar and the second agent told me I didn't have to contact a second time and could have just bought and tried to sort it out later. Another idiot with fake logic working for the company. She then told me she is too busy to talk to me further and disconnected.

I called in and asked for a supervisor. The agent disconnected me.

I called and spoke to another agent which repeated the same brain dead logic as the second agent.

They stated they could do nothing else and not refund our money as when the tickets were purchased, there was a note in the "Disclaimers" that said this was needed. Given how big of a deal this is, there was not a single email until the week before telling us to do this and when it could not be done, no fault of our own, Stubhub's reply was that they were a separate entity and could not refund us the money.

I did not give my permission as it was not fair to go back on their word that it would be refunded. They did offer me the choice of sending back the ticket and then they would not charge me.

Unfortunately at that point there were no other tickets available so that would mean I could not go to the show. Spent 600 hundred to 700 dollars for my anniversary not able to see show. Then they say they would not refund my money because it's a third party seller. Reschedule for a Monday night in December, no comp for ** up my anniversary. Definitely would not recommend Stub Hub to anyone. Out several hundred dollars, no show, work 2 job, almost impossible for me to go to a concert on Monday night. Now they recommend tickets are worth less than half what I gave. They suck. Never use Stub Hub again.

StubHub charges existing, repeat customers more in service fees than someone without an account. Unfair business practices. I have an account, my son doesn’t. We both searched for MLS tickets at the same time, happen to choose the same seats and my tickets were $36 more! I called customer service & they blew me off & said, "Yes, it happens all the time." Seriously.

I listed 2 of my 2019 season tickets football tickets through Clemson's Athletic site for the Clemson vs Charlotte game, they sold in 4 minutes. My listing email shows the correct seat listing but then StubHub allows the purchaser to cancel the sale because the purchaser claims the tickets are not what they bought, so now it is too late to sell my tickets but then to make matters more unfair, StubHub says they are going to charge my credit card a penalty for listing bogus tickets. I chatted with customer service immediately but 3 weeks later, I still have not received the follow up that was promised. Sellers beware. You can be scammed on StubHub. It is not a safe sellers environment.

I placed a ticket of mine for a music festival on both TickPick and StubHub hoping that I'd get a potential buyer. My ticket was listed @ $1000 for it being a VIP ticket. It got bought out on both sites within an hour of each other while I was at work so I couldn’t cancel the other order. StubHub doesn’t allow you to first confirm the sale before the transaction occurs so now I'm stuck with at least a $400 cancelation fee/upwards of $1000.

They don’t give you any warning or confirmation before they take the money out of your account and they don’t tell you whether or not the buyer chooses to cancel the order or they buy a replacement ticket. There’s absolutely no line of communication or cooperation. Essentially, if I have $200 left in my account. They will pull all of it out of my account with no warning and then send it to a collection agency if I am unable to pay within 40 days. They only care about the buyer simply because the more sellers that this happens to, the more money they make.

I was recently alerted to some tickets that were bought through this organization without my authorization. A representative who was not helpful would not refund my money. The tickets were purchased through a website that had been compromised without my knowledge. After explaining my situation my and finding out they had saved my personal information with payment info and allowed someone else to make the purchase. They still would not stop the sale. Even thought the event was not until March of 2020. They do not even have the tickets to send out yet...but are still allowing the sale to go forward. What a scam.

I am out $464.80 for tickets I will not even use. They at least would change the address for me to receive the tickets but would not send them until February of 2020 giving me no time to resell them.... What a horrible company and and fraudulent activity. Never use them. I have no recourse. They were attaching my card..even tried to stop the charges but they waited and sent the charge through my PayPal account. How does this even happen.

My wife and I purchased tickets for the boxing match GGG vs Derevyanchenko. When we presented our tickets at the venue, we were told that the tickets were duplicated and used 50 minutes prior and we were not allowed in. We were told to call StubHub. We called StubHub and were put on for 30 minutes, then transferred and put on hold some more. They offered only a refund for the ticket price, and could not get us replacement tickets. My wife and I spent a lot of money to travel to the venue, and none of that will be refunded to us. Stubhub is a 3rd party site where shady things like this happen. This was my first and LAST time ever using StubHub. Buyer beware, don't use StubHub.

I Purchased a parking pass that was advertised as being a part of the venue. After purchasing the tickets and receiving them they were actually 1 mile away from the venue and not affiliated with the venue at all. When I contacted StubHub to point out how the tickets were falsely advertised they basically said they couldn’t refund my money and then I could resell them on their market. They’re allowing the consumers to be tricked by other people who are falsely advertising tickets.

If you ever have an issue with StubHub don’t even bother to call the looneys in Customer Service. They won’t even listen to your complaint because they are too busy talking and yelling. We called to complaint about an issue were they had stolen money from my daughter's checking account. The person we talked with was totally insane. We asked for the manager but he must have been the person that trained the First Lady because was worse. Will another site next time. Next.
