Pretty much everything everyone else is saying about StubHub is true! Back in Jan or Feb 2020 I bought several tickets to Bonnaroo - which of course was cancelled because of Covid-19. It was over $2000! At first they were like - Oh it's only postponed, so you can hang on to them and they'll be good for Bonnaroo 2021 or you can re-list them...No Refund. So, I re-listed them...Sold them (for less than what I paid but what can you do?).
Now, That means StubHub was paid twice at this point once when I bought the tickets and again when these other people bought them - Then of course Bonnaroo was cancelled AGAIN! Was I given a refund - No! I was offered 120% credit for my original purchase towards tickets to other **...That was like $3000 worth of CREDIT on StubHub! But, I think there was enough of an uproar with people that the beginning of last month (Sept. 2021) They said finally - OK. You guys can choose to either keep your 120% credit or request a refund in the original amount. To which I immediately selected "Give me my ** money back!" They said - "Refunds will take around 30 DAYS to process!"
Well...I still haven't received my refund and I am getting increasingly concerned that I probably won't - EVER!!! They are liars! And thieves! Someone on Reddit was talking about a Class Action Lawsuit - I don't think that is a bad idea! Companies making money hand over fist should NOT be allowed to treat customers this way! And I know I had tickets from Ticket Master that were refunded in a timely manner- Vividseats I have some issue with as well but StubHub is the WORST! So, I don't know, do your research before going to a 3rd party ticket site - And be very leery of StubHub!

I bought six tickets to a college football game a month in advance. As game day approached, the electronic tickets were not showing up. It turns out that StubHub allows ticket sellers to wait until game day to turn in their tickets. Our ticket seller never turned in our tickets, so we were left holding the bag, with no tickets to the game, and no time to recover. This policy is clearly 100% in favor of the ticket seller, and puts the ticket buyer in a precarious position. Allowing ticket sellers to wait until the day of the event leaves no fallback position for the ticket buyer. And if you buy alternate tickets, and then the seller comes through on event day, you are left with two sets of tickets and no time to try to recover your money.
With such anti-buyer policies, I don't know how Stubhub can operate as a business. Also, the now famous lack of customer service was very clear. I called their contact center multiple times, sitting on hold for over three hours on two occasions before giving up. When I finally reached a human being, I was told of this policy, and that there was nothing that could be done. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that the contact center had no supervisors. There are lots of other ticket resellers out there. Take your money elsewhere. Avoid Stubhub like the plague.

Purchased tickets in April 2021 as a gift to the Grandkids. Told tickets would be sent 26 Sept. Guaranteed for 28 Sept concert. On date of concert, still had not arrived. Multiple calls and many hours on hold later, beginning at 7am. Guaranteed tickets would arrive at 10 am with follow up call to confirm receipt at 10:30. Then when that did not happen, was assured arrival at 2. Again at 4. Wasted day on phone to be told tickets no longer available, so sorry. I purchased from another site instead and will do so from now on. Have used StubHub for years but will not do business with site that lets their agents shop my already purchased items for higher bid elsewhere. Can verify all to whoever's wants to know. DONE with StubHub.

I purchased 4 Floor tickets for an event and when I received the tickets they were the top balcony seats. I called StubHub and told them to find replacement which I saw available online but somehow they cancelled my order and said none available so now I am stuck. When I was a seller once, I listed the tickets in error and they charged me thousands to find replacement tickets for the buyer. I think they keep the money and never really replace anything for the buyer. SCAM. I have all the documentation if anyone wants to see the truth.

So 3 hours before show time I was told that I would get a credit on my Stub Hub account, not a refund on my credit card, and that I could try to buy tickets for the event, if any were left, or to a future event. The situation only got worse. Never got the credit, so I had to pay double. Probably the most inconsiderate and shabbily run company I have ever dealt with. Don't make the same mistake I did when planning an important event.

We bought tickets to an event, downloaded tickets with no problems. Went to attend event and ticket did not work, scanner stated ticket already scanned. When tried to contact StubHub it was a 3 hour wait time to talk to someone, which event would have been over! Thank goodness someone at the gate was able to help me with getting my ticket figured out and got in. We traveled far distance to attend the event and the tickets were expensive. Think twice of other options for you!

I ordered tickets for an event that was taking place on 9/4, and was according to Stubhub going to receive the tickets 9/3. On 9/2 I get an email saying my tickets for the 9/4 show won't get delivered until 9/7 which is 3 days after event. So the morning of 9/4 I fly from Texas to Colorado without the tickets I purchased for the event. For the last almost 3 weeks I've been trying to get through to Stubhub without luck. For years I've been using Stubhub to buy and sell tickets and have never had a problem until now. Not planning on using Stubhub's service, nor will be recommending it anymore.

I have used StubHub previously without issues. I told my daughter when she turned 7, I would take her to her firsts concert of her choice. So when I trusted stubhub with our ticket purchase on Feb. 14, 2020 before the world fell apart, little did I know I just paid out $388.03 that I would never see again. They first offered through email a 125% credit. Later, they emailed stating continue with the credit or refund. I followed all of the steps provided to request the refund. I waited 2 hours on the phone x 2 with them and both times the agent states the refund was issued on May 29, 2021 at 9:46am back to the same card. I have checked the statements of any card that may have been used, although I know which one it was and there is NO CREDIT. I am told I have to go to the bank and bank has to dispute however my bank says it is on their end, they do not see an attempt to refund me so they cannot dispute this.
I asked for the supervisor and the lady was so short and rude with me stating there is nothing she can do as it shows the refund was successful. I hate that I have had this experience and now hesitate to purchase through any ticket dealer at this point but they have lost my business forever and I am hoping if you read this, they don't get yours either as they have sent me in circles. I have all statements, emails, etc. to prove them wrong and will continue to do so until I am successful. However, business is forever lost with them.

I purchased three tickets for Alabama/Florida on 8/23/21. The day before the game I received an email from the seller that she had just been notified of the sale and they were already sold. This was $1000 worth of tickets. Stubhub has used my money for almost a month. I sat on hold 4 times that day for over an hour with nothing but their annoying music on hold. I've now written 17 songs to their repetitive tune. It's gameday and my account states that I have been offered substitutions. I have zero emails or calls from Stubhub. I had to pack up and just go home as the game is now underway. I guess small claims court is where I'm heading with this next week.

This site allowed me to place a parking pass for sale for which they later determined would not work. They determined that AFTER it was sold and delivered. They then stated that I needed to pay the full balance ($600). I needed to pay the full balance even though the buyer was going to be refunded. This was all after being on hold for a combined total of 5 hours. So the buyer is being refunded and then I have to pay Stub Hub $600 for absolutely nothing? It was still a day before the event, and of course they would not contact the buyer for me. This site is an absolute joke. The customer service is an absolute joke. I would recommend to never use this site to sell or buy anything.

Purchased tickets on StubHub for my Boss & his 3 clients. Owner of tickets transferred the tickets to Ticketmaster the day before the event. Never received email from either that the event was postponed. StubHub claimed they did send an email but it wasn't in the Inbox/Junk/Deleted Items so it's my word against theirs. There was nothing posted on the event page on StubHub about the event being postponed either. Ticketmaster claimed they weren't obligated to inform us as that was StubHub's responsibility. My boss took his clients to this event only to find out the hard & embarrassing way that the event was cancelled. Thankfully, he also looked at the site that day to confirm the info & also never saw any mention of the event being postponed until 2022 so I wasn't fired over this.
Requested a refund. The Customer Service Rep who I had to stay on hold for for over 2 hours was the NASTIEST CUSTOMER SERVICE REP EVER. Basically told me "too bad, we sent you an email". When I said I'd call my credit card company to dispute this charge she said "Go ahead, because StubHub will then freeze your account until it's resolved and in the end StubHub will win anyway". This company makes a FORTUNE off of their customers. The least they could have done was offer a partial refund. Truly disgusting Customer Service and policy.

The platform has tabs to show pending sales, sales, completed sales, etc. My tickets were nowhere to be found. I tried to call and contact StubHub assistance in a variety of ways and could never reach anyone or have anyone assist me. The event occurred and my tickets were not sold. I placed an order (**) for Luke Combs tickets in Kidd Brewer Stadium, Boone, NC. I placed this order in March 2021. Later, the concert was postponed to September 4th yet, I never received an email to collect the tickets. I called twice in the two weeks leading up to the concert and spent more than three hours on the phone each time and got no resolution. I was assured both times that the problem was being passed onto the next tier to be worked and that I would hear back from someone.
That never happened. The day of the concert came and went and no help from Stubhub, no calls, no tickets. So, I'm out over $600 now because of a failure on Stubhub's part to handle their problem calls seriously. I am highly disappointed that such a used business has such terrible customer service and a complete lack of care for their customers. I will not be using Stubhub in the future and I will do my best to ensure that no one I know uses them, either.

DO NOT USE STUB HUB!! The website is confusing and difficult to navigate. You can easily make a mistake and not even know you did. Once the purchase is made you are out of luck if you made a mistake or your situation changed. They have a no return or exchange policy, so beware. Their customer service is terrible, long wait times over 2 to 4 hours, to only be told there is nothing they can do. It was obnoxious. They were reading the company line off a piece of paper. A real waste of time. The seller has up to midnight the day before the event to get you the tickets. Very stressful. Everything is done online or on your phone. What if your phone dies prior to the event or gets lost? Basically, they screw you every chance they get while walking to the bank with your money. Second night comes and my ticket is no longer showing up on app as current but as a previous event and will not show a barcode. Sit on hold for 3 hours and finally a representative emailed barcode that she guarantees will work. Get all the way through line and security just to have the new barcode not work. Sit on hold for 3 more hours, meanwhile missing concert, and they say there's no way to get me in that night and they'll only be able to give me a single day ticket for the last day of event. They also said they wouldn't be able to issue any sort of refund because the price of original 3 day ticket was "comparable" to price of my 1 day replacement ticket.
I also ordered a 2 day ticket to an event that was moved due to Caldor fire. The new venue is honoring all tickets to original venue but stubhub said my tickets were no longer valid and they'll be refunding my money. I have to buy the tickets all over again day before event at twice the price I originally paid. They offer to allow me to sell with no "sellers" fee and they do not refund the "buyers" fee that I paid. If my tickets sell, I can purchase new tickets and a second "buyers" fee. That's 2 "buyers" fee paid by me for going to one game. Keep in mind that the purchasers of my sold tickets will pay a new "buyers" fee for the same set of tickets that this fee was already paid on. This is unethical that it is not refunded to allow the sale as I could not go to the game. DON'T DO IT! No matter how bad you need to sell tickets, DON'T GO THROUGH THESE PEOPLE. THEY'LL STEAL YOUR MONEY. I added two tickets to Garth Brooks. Went in and edited those tickets. Five minutes went by (I can verify because StubHub customer service told me the exact times that this happened) and nothing, so I added the two tickets again. Went back into my account and only saw that entry, went into tickets for sale and only saw that entry. Went into my account hours later and those two tickets had been sold twice!
Apparently, the first entry I put in "reappeared". Called customer service and they said they were charging my credit card the $200 because I couldn't provide the tickets to the second person, and they wouldn't cancel the second person's purchase. So, not only did the person who bought the tickets that already sold because the entry was duplicated lose $200+fees, I lost $200+fees. StubHub made ~$500 from NOTHING BUT AN ERROR IN THEIR SYSTEM. It's not difficult to code a program to recognize if the same seats were entered twice and reject that second entry.
Instead, they're making out like bandits by their system not posting an edit for well over 5 minutes and instead made it completely disappear for 10 minutes or more (remember, only ONE entry was listed in the tickets for sale after I added what was apparently the second entry, which was five minutes after the first entry, so their system literally removed the first entry and added the update back in AT LEAST 10 minutes later!).
I ESSENTIALLY PAID MONEY TO GIVE MY TICKETS AWAY!! I paid $189.90 for two tickets, sold them for $200 and PAID STUBHUB $200 for them selling my tickets TWICE! I PAID STUBHUB $200 TO GIVE MY TICKETS AWAY TO SOMEONE I DON'T EVEN KNOW. They're thieves!!! If someone asks you for your credit card to sell something, RUN! They plan on charging your credit card!

I can't seem to get this resolved, as no one ever answers and there's no other way to contact them. I should have read the reviews first.... that may have saved me 712.06 and all the time I have invested in trying to get my tickets. I have been on hold right now for 2:14, that's crazy. Stay away!!!!

Very disappointed, ordered 2 tickets, supposed to get them both for July 29 for an event planned for July 30. They decided to send me my wristband by UPS knowing that I had a PO BOX in my account and that it couldn’t work with this address. No warning of any sort whatsoever. Ended up having one order marked as received the 29 (although I didn’t receive anything) and the other one sent back to the sender.
After 4 hours on hold, their agent ended up telling me that they couldn’t do anything for me, that I shouldn’t have had my mail go to my PO BOX, so no refund but I had no warning when entering my address. $350 lost for nothing. Stubhub doesn’t even have an email service for support, they will put you on hold forever (min 3h) to end up doing nothing. Very sad that a business acts this way. They could have just sent me a QR code that I would show on my phone, and it would have worked.

I had bought 3 tickets across 2 transactions. I had the 1 ticket in my AXS account but the other 2 would never show up. I had one time where I waited for 1.5 hours and the representative said she spoke to upper management and it was clear I just needed to create my AXS account? WTF??? I already had it with the other ticket in there. They were WORTHLESS. If I can ever avoid buying through this service I certainly will. Please don't let them get any bigger. Give us choices. Oh yah. Like it is says above on ConsumerAffairs site Stub Hub has policies they hide behind to screw people and my latest experience after not selling for many months will be my last. Too long to recount but need to trust me on this. They take any opportunity to take your money hiding behind technicalities and the complaints about terrible customer service and 3 hour+ waiting times on phone are true. And you need only a faint pulse to qualify to work there. Stay away. Sincerely, not a crackpot reviewer.

I bought 3 tickets to the Dave Matthews Concert for July 27th. The tickets never came. Here I am 3 hours before the concert - which I drove out of town to see - with nothing. I called customer service yesterday (3 hour wait) and the guy said that the seller hadn't released the tickets, they'd find me new tickets and call me the next morning. No call. No email. Another 3 plus hour wait calling customer service. Talk to a girl, she said that there are no tickets that they can give us so she's going to refund the money. I asked her how long that would take and the call dropped. I spent $542.20 since to bring my wife and nine year old son. We waited for months excited as hell. I schedule off work, book two nights in Atlanta, food, gas, 6 plus hours waiting on hold for customer service and I get a refund for only my tickets. This is a disaster. This company offers no email, no call back number, nothing. Disgraceful. I will never use this company again.

I purchased tickets through StubHub for a concert to surprise my husband. A few days before the concert it got postponed and StubHub weren't the ones to notify me of that. It has been a nightmare trying to get any answers or resolution from StubHub. I've called many times and this time, I've been on hold for an hour and 28 minutes trying to get help to get back into my account to see what to do next with my "tickets." I was able to talk to someone before. She said the concert was postponed and not canceled so no refunds. Basically, StubHub will keep it in a postponed status so as not to have to give refunds. And the refund policy is that they supposedly will give more than 100% of what I paid as a credit to be used with them for another event. This is a terrible mess. How are they even able to do business?! I'm so mad at myself for purchasing my tickets through them. Never ever again.

The seats I got to sit in were 250 dollar seats and I only paid 180 for 2 so that was a big win for me and my wife. We sat in the aisle seats but seats 15 and 16 and they were awesome seats. I don't know how often this happens but thank you for the awesome experience in great seats with an awesome view.

I purchased tickets through StubHub over a year ago but the concert was repeatedly postponed. Wasn’t able to make the new concert date or get a refund for the tickets purchased even though the postponed date was a year later. Was only allowed the option to resell the tickets for $400 less than what I paid for them!!! They wouldn’t release the tickets to me until the day of the concert because they don’t want you to be able to sell them privately. I tried emailing them multiple times and nobody ever got back to me. I tried calling multiple times and never got through. Their CS line says hold times are greater than 3 hours and they won’t deal with your problem unless it’s the day of your concert. And they were!
I finally got ahold of someone after 3.5 hours and when I explained that I couldn’t list the tickets for the price I paid for them he offered to transfer me to the sales dept to help me. Then he put me on hold for another 30 mins before they disconnected the line… This company leaves you with no options or support. The only part of this company that works without a problem is the part that takes your money.

StubHub is a rip off. I don't know how this company is not shut down. First off after you buy tickets they tell you to watch your email for transfer of tickets however they never send them. This company deals with people reselling tickets and transferring them by email. My experience turned out to be a complete loss. I paid card, was charged, money was taken out. Email told me that the original owner was notified and watch for transfer. It never came. 2nd of all when you call the number to customer service it's a recording saying they're open from 830 to 430 Mon thru Fri. I called at 9 am 1 pm and 4pm got a recording telling me the hours 3 times.
So in the end you get a big F. You lost money and no tickets. No one to help. May as well not bother just buy direct from the venue or Live Nation. At least your money would go to an actual ticket. I get it. NO one anticipated COVID, and how far its tentacles reached. Thought it would be nice buying tickets to hear James Taylor at Tanglewood July 4th 2021 weekend. Unfortunately, concert was rescheduled to 2022; since I have no clue what I wanted to do in 2022 and neither did the other 3 folks I was going with we decided not to continue and ask for our money back. What was I thinking?
So here it is in summary form after being on hold for half an hour with co. reps: They will not refund the money. I will need to relist the tickets to see if someone else is interested in purchasing them. Once someone purchases the tickets it is my responsibility to ship the ticket to the new buyer. Oh yeah, by the way the tickets are being shipped to me in June of next year. I have approx 1 month to receive them and email them to the buyer(s). So I guess if I wanted to go on vacation in June of 2022 I can't, since I don't know when I will be getting the ticket and they will need to mail it out in time. And of course if all my tickets don't sell I lose the money. :)
All of this while the customer service guy tells me they are trying to be fair to both the buyers and sellers. At the rate they are going who knows if they will even be in business next year, don't buy tickets or anything else from these people! This is the first negative review I've written and hopefully my last. Don't like to waste my time doing this sort of thing but felt I had to this time. Lesson learned.

BEWARE!!!! MAKING A PURCHASE FROM STUBHUB DOES NOT MEAN YOU GO TO A GAME. They can take it back hours later and cancel the purchase just before the game you planned to attend. It is such a terrible business and they don't care. We bought tickets from STUBHUB this morning for our family of 4 to go to the Atlanta Hawks playoff basketball game. The sale went through on the agreed upon price and they took our money for the assigned seats in the Terrace level. I stopped looking for other tickets and my family all got ready for the game tonight. My husband even got off work early. As we were leaving to go to the game, StubHub sends us a notice that lets us know 2hrs before the game that the tickets we bought and paid for are now not available.
There are no other tickets available together in the stadium except in the most upper deck at the same price. They just said "Sorry, it happens" and stated that BUYING A TICKET FROM THEM DOES NOT MEAN YOU GET THE TICKET OR GET TO GO TO THE GAME. If the seller also sells the tickets on another site (like Ticketmaster), STUBHUB has no way of knowing this but holds your money and leads you to believe you have the tickets which you bought. How do these companies not have a way to guarantee their tickets or monitor if the seller even has the tickets or is still selling them??? You can buy the tickets, make plans, and then find out right before the game the tickets you bought aren't there????
What???? They sell tickets they have no access to and cannot guarantee anything- A PURCHASE MEANS NOTHING!!!. I spent hours on the phone with customer service and their response is just "Sorry". This is such a terrible business model. Please use another way to purchase tickets as Stubhub is a mess - they can only take your money but can't deliver tickets. Even after they take your money, a purchase means nothing. We still haven't even been refunded our money and our plans are ruined. How can they not let you know in a timely manner the purchase made from them was not a purchase???? Their business is to sell tickets but they can't actually deliver what you purchase. We could have gotten tickets elsewhere if if we knew right away, but STUBHUB CAN"T MONITOR THEIR OWN TICKETS. We are all so disappointed. WHAT A SHAM!!!!

I had a horrible experience with Stubhub's customer service. I would be very wary of buying anything from Stubhub if you think there's even a remote possibility that you'll have to engage their customer service team to resolve any issue. I'd purchased tickets for a show for $650 back before the pandemic, and when the pandemic caused the show to be cancelled, Stubhub came out with a promotion to allow you to either get a full refund or take a credit of 120%. I decided to take the 120% so that I could do fun outdoors activities with my kids (120% of $650 is a lot of money!). The emails they sent out gave instructions on how to accept the offer, but when I logged in those options weren't available to me. So, I called Customer Service...
Several attempts to call failed because I didn't have the time to wait on the long holds (wasn't expecting to wait more than 15min), so I went digging for a customer service email option or even a virtual chat....nothing.... Finally, when an email came out saying the end of the promotion was a few days away, I decided to find a couple hours and just do the hold game. Sure enough, after being on hold for 54min, I finally spoke to a human being. She was perfectly nice, but she told me she couldn't resolve the issue and that she'd need to pass my case on to the technical team. When I hadn't heard anything in a couple days, I called back, but again the wait times on hold were too long and I didn't get through. Finally, I ended up getting an email saying my money was being refunded, so I called and sat on hold again, until I finally got through to someone.
I then spent longer on the phone with a CS agent who literally kept repeating the same words over and over indicating that the promotion was over (despite my attempts to take advantage of the promotion before it ended) and that they would not honor it. I politely asked to speak with a supervisor after she said she couldn't help me, but she placed me on hold for another several minutes and came back and said there were no supervisors available due to the high volume of calls. I spoke with her more (very politely)...kind of to see how long I could get her to talk to me....
It was a game for me at that point since I was never going to get to take advantage of this promotion. I kind of enjoyed just being very polite and seeing if I could get her to see it from my perspective, but she kept reading from a script or something that said "the promotion is over". Eventually, I asked to speak to a supervisor again, and she said "okay" and put me on hold....I was on hold for 15 more minutes, and then they hung up on me.
In all, I estimate I spent about 4 hours trying to resolve this issue, but had no luck despite my very reasonable request and situation. I always believe, having a calm demeanor, showing people on the other end of the phone respect, and being polite is the best way to handle these types of situations, but in this case....with Stubhub, there is no hope of good customer service.

I was supposed to get my $800 tickets to the Mets game on Friday May 7 for a game on Saturday May 8 in order to celebrate Mother's Day with my family. This was the time clearly stated on the website when I bought the tickets. By 11am on Saturday, I still had not received the tickets. I called but they kept me on hold for over an hour. By the time they finally picked up, the tickets arrived in my email. This was at 12pm for a 7pm game. This would normally be fine except that you have to get a Covid test in order to be allowed into the stadium. This did not leave my family enough time to get the Covid tests and make it to the stadium. Their terms + conditions clearly state that the seller needs to deliver the tickets by the time stated they would be available.
Now I am stuck with $800 tickets unless I can quickly get these rapid tests. The customer service agent kept changing her story and saying that as long as they arrive by 10am, they cannot issue a refund. I explained to her that they arrived at 12:07pm EST and she was looking at PST time. Then she changed her story to say that if I had called BEFORE the tickets had been delivered, they would have issued a refund. But I told her that they were the ones that did not pick up the phones. So this all added up, and I paid a lot for tickets which I assumed was due to limited capacity. I think this is the most terrible business practice I’ve heard of. So the buyer gets the tickets in hand and is charged for those tickets and has paid for those tickets while the seller gets zero benefit. I bought 2 tickets then found better ones so sold my original tickets so I wouldn’t be on the hook for over $1400.00 total. My event isn’t until September. So buyer gets tickets, y’all get paid but you hold off paying me until AFTER the event. Very shady. Now I have to pay all the tickets off on my credit card.
Also when I set up to sale I got about $200 less than what I paid. I set the ticket amount but I guess your company took the extra $200 as a fee when y’all basically do nothing. The buyer and seller search for the tickets, y’all are just the middle man and a pitiful excuse for one at that. In the future I will sell on my own. Seems to be a trend here as far as reviews go but it need to be understood what StubHub did to their customers. They offered a 100% cash back policy in case event is cancelled. They then changed their policy AFTER the sale to a 120% credit for a future purchase. This is Illegal in every state in the USA. The hard part is getting StubHub to follow the law. They have a “FANPROTECT” policy that is burying them in with all the Attorney Generals currently negotiating with them. Poor Stubhub is actually being forced to follow their own policy And adhere to the laws we all live under. It’s crazy I know.
I would also like to call out the former StubHub President Sukhinder Singh Cassidy for stealing money from every woman in the country that is currently struggling through a pandemic and unable to pay their own bills while she got a golden parachute to retire early on the backs of consumers that got no refund. I also hope that Karma comes around and teaches that her a little bit about morality.
I purchased $1700 dollars worth of Billie Eilish tickets I cannot use and have a 120% credit that expires on in 8 months and I have chronic disease. Thanks for nothing Stubhub. I’ve called and tried tirelessly to get them to refund me but it’s nothing but roadblocks. We had literally just used her password to access her account. Suddenly the password was incorrect. We tried resetting, but she never gets the email that they say they're sending to complete the reset. (I tried the reset from my own account and I get the email immediately.) And of course, the voucher code is now registering as having already been used. What company would not give you a refund but offer you more money in a coupon, this is just unacceptable. They are counting on you not being able to use this coupon as there won't be a vaccine for covid-19 until at least the second half of 2021 so they are stalling hoping to keep my money and the coupon also.
This is so morally Wrong by any standard. I filed a dispute which my bank charged back because StubHub changed their policy in the middle of the pandemic. Now by doing this StubHub has not deactivated my account so I have no money nor the coupon. I could possibly understand 30 days, hell even 60 days, to receive the money back from the sellers and refund it back to the purchaser, but 4 months is absolutely ridiculous, lazy, and complete disregard towards the customer.
Oh and when asked if there is a way to expedite that process since a friend of ours has a family member who is sick and he needs that money back, the response was, "No, if we try to expedite it, it will restart the process all over again and you’ll have to wait another 4 months." They would not let me exchange for 4 tickets next to each other (with still buying the extra tickets if course.) Not crazy but a pretty big pain considering my payment hasn't even been processed for the first two tickets yet.
It gets worse. My concert I bought tickets in Jan, that is supposed to play in August that year. Gets pushed back to July the year after. This concern was with my dad as a last hooray before I moved out of the state. (I live an hour or so from my parents now and thought I'd be fun.) Because the concert was rescheduled a year away but not cancelled, they did not refund my tickets. That's cool, I only wanted a credit for my tickets so I could go to a different concert instead. Nope. Not that either. I'm stuck with my tickets and my only option is to sell them on their website if I want to no longer go! Their guarantee says that if the artist does not play, you'll get a credit or refund for the ticket, which is why I used this website. The fine print says that "not playing" does not extend to any concert rescheduled, no matter how far away.
When talking to customer service, they tried to make me feel better by telling me a story about how they refused a credit for someone that bought Adel tickets whose concert was rescheduled two years out, and I shouldn't feel bad because mine was only one year away. Also, I don't expect much with customer service, but I was on hold for 30 min, to be told the manager I needed to speak with will call me back within 48 hours. I knew legally that I purchased my tickets under the old policy and rightfully deserved a REFUND for the event cancellation I had purchased, rather than the 120% “credit” voucher they said they would automatically place on my account to use later.
After hours and hours of being on hold waiting to speak to a customer care desk to request my money back, I was informed it was correct I was eligible for a refund, BUT it would take over 120 days to process. StubHub refuses to refund, says they'll contact the seller and, "ask again." When pressed on what happens if the seller doesn't respond, they say, "We'll try to find you comparable tickets." Um...NO! Those were VIP seats next to friends of ours. There are no "comparable" tickets. You people are lucky you're a virtual middle man, because I'd whoop yours, and the scalper's ** then and there for not handing me the tickets when I just forked over $436.27. Don't use this company. I have been a loyal customer of StubHub for many years. Due to coronavirus and StubHub not providing a refund timely for tickets purchase, I lodged a dispute with my credit card company. Now, months later, I was trying to reset my password on StubHub to buy tickets for another event and come to find out, StubHub deactivates your account when you do a dispute and they will ONLY reactivate your account if you drop the dispute. The customer should not be penalized for a global pandemic and an account should not be deactivated due to a single dispute that was not my fault. You’re basically turning away customers. I wanted to reset my password to look at my past orders/tickets and to purchase tickets for the future for the upcoming football season. I can no longer support a business that holds its customers hostage unless I drop a dispute for needing my money back in a time of global crisis. Super poor customer service.

Stubhub Seller Abused. I listed for sale over $2000 worth concert tickets on Stubhub for several of an undisclosed bands 2020 summer concerts and they were all completely pre-sold all by April. When you buy tickets from the undisclosed bands “fan club”, they don’t send them to you until usually about two weeks before the show dates, so when they are listed, the tickets are not in hand. If you are a seller on Stubhub they make you provide them your bank account number and a credit card number, which I can understand just in case somebody sells them bogus tickets.
In early May 2020 the band decided they were going to reschedule the summer 2020 tour due to the corona virus and replace with the same dates in 2021. They gave the buyers the option of keeping the tickets to use them the following year or take a full refund as long as they requested it before June 3, 2020. Just the way it should be. I would NEVER want to tie up my money and hold on to tickets for 14-16 months for any reason, not to mention the possibility of the same thing happening all over again if they don’t have a cure for the virus the next year.
I called StubHub and explained that I no longer wanted to sell the tickets because I had to wait such a long time to get my money back and that the band offered to give me my money back as long as I let them know before June 3. 2020. The Stubhub representative told me they would not allow me to cancel the sale even if the buyers agreed to cancel and if I did not supply them the tickets they would charge me the full amount of the sales price onto my credit card and there was nothing I could do about it. Stubhub = Total Scumbags.

Even though they have received the buyer's money they won’t pay me until the event takes place and they won’t cancel the sale so I can get the ticket back and receive a refund from Ticketmaster. They’re acting as if they're doing you a favor by giving you an additional 20%. However they must have forgotten about the added fees at purchase.
I called the company, very unprofessional rep wouldn’t put a manager on the phone even though I asked several times over. Then finally I was put on hold so he could get a manager. Then I was told one would call me back because she was busy. Unreal!! She did and stated company has changed policy and no longer doing refunds. Unacceptable!! What gives you the right to force me into accepting a coupon?! There’s nothing there I care to see or attend. She didn’t care. Only reason I was even going was to take my ten year old because he’s a huge Bon Jovi fan!!! Fair to say they will never Ever see another dime from me!! Contacted my cc company. Updated on 09/25/2020: Attachment to earlier review: It is now 9-25-20, seven months of being promised a refund after MLB season was cancelled...cannot travel because of CoVid of course. Will continue to pursue. StubHub’s founders lack integrity and are disreputable.
Original Review: DO NOT USE STUBHUB TO PURCHASE. REFUNDS ARE REFUSED, EVEN DURING PANDEMIC. My husband and I bought MLB tix to a planned vacation Denver game. Because of heart disease and cancer, and the risk of Covid, we cannot travel in the foreseeable future. It is common knowledge the MLB season has been postponed, and IF they begin again, fans will not be present. I requested a refund 3/18, and again 5/11. StubHub refused a refund until MLB announces the season is Cancelled, even in a pandemic. This practice is unscrupulous, disreputable, and just plain bad business practice.

If it were possible, I would rate StubHub with zero stars: In either late February or very early March 2020 I purchased a ticket for an event in mid-March that was about 60+ miles away; that event was canceled (not rescheduled, canceled) due to the pandemic. The cost of the ticket was approx 3X its face value, that should have been my first clue. Shortly after the concert was canceled by the venue because of the pandemic (never rescheduled, it was canceled entirely) StubHub sent an email saying that depending on my choice they would either refund the money because of the virus cancellation (the ticket now being utterly worthless because of the cancellation; again, not rescheduled, canceled) or offer a 120% credit towards another purchase from them; they said to please be patient and wait for them to contact me by email within two to three weeks and I would then be able to make my choice.
Two weeks later I received an email from them stating that they had changed their policy and were only going to issue their 120% credit, that they had decided that they would not be giving any refunds. After that, nothing. After the full three weeks had passed I tried five different times to contact them and received no response. I asked PayPal to help get my money back but they ruled that because the ticket ("product" was the term they used) was delivered, they were denying my claim, i.e. siding with StubHub.
Two lessons for me: First, never again will I purchase anything from StubHub because they reneged on a promise in the middle of their requested waiting period, plus, their prices are three times what I would have paid if I had just gone ahead and driven the 120 mile round-trip and purchased my ticket at the box office. My bad, but never again. StubHub is now on my list of shunned businesses because all I received for paying three times the actual admission price was an unusable ticket and broken promises. In other words, I paid full price for a service that I never received because of an "Act of God," while they get to break their commitment and still keep all the money; the only loss is to the customer, all of the gain is theirs to keep.
Learn from my poor judgement and save your money. I strongly recommend that you deal directly with the box office, or have a trusted friend do it for you; in my opinion you could pay the friend the same excess and get better service than you would from StubHub. Secondly, although PayPal is an honest company, think twice before using them to purchase concert tickets because apparently once you have the ticket, no matter what "Act of God" occurs, they are not going to help you get your money back from the seller even if that seller reneges on their own guarantee.
The difference is, I'm disappointed with PayPal and will from now on severely limit my use of them for any credit purchases now that I'm aware of their limitations; StubHub I will never use again; it is my understanding that the concert venue has taken steps to make sure that online purchasers are not automatically sent to StubHub as I was by the venue's software for any ticket purchasers to any of their events in the future. PayPal I will continue to use as a last resort for credit purchases; StubHub is on my personal "banned" list, and I will be telling anyone who will listen to avoid dealing with them. You really don't want that company anywhere near your wallet.

I purchased two tickets for a Kaskade concert in the earlier part of March. The concert is for April 4th 2020. All the sudden this covid 19 situation arises where they won’t allow get togethers larger than 50 people. I call because I want to cancel my tickets because who knows how long we will have to refrain from any types of events like this. This is where you begin to feel hopeless. It turns out the concert will be rescheduled for August 2020. According to their policy there will be no refunds unless the concert was cancelled. Yet we’re having a pandemic and StubHub isn’t willing to accommodate the stay at home order issued by the government. I am terrified and scared that my girlfriends lives will be at risk regardless of when the concert will be rescheduled.
I work in a hospital and am in high risk of spreading something to someone if I decide to not refrain from going out especially to a concert. I still don’t understand how this is not a valid reason for a refund. Currently I am only going to work and back. The only way I can get a refund is if I resell them on their website. On top of that, I won’t even get all my money back because stubhub charges a reselling fee. How can I now sell tickets when no one wants to go out or are even allowed to attend events? I feel trapped with no options. I don’t want to be a part of possibly spreading this virus. I’m uncomfortable knowing that they are able to process refunds but are ultimately deciding not to.
Even after talking to a representative and two supervisors they are making it seem impossible to help me. From the moment you purchase your tickets, you're trapped! You have absolutely no control over anything afterwards. No control over who is sending the tickets. No control over getting money back. No control over postponed events that could take a year! No control on price gouging when purchasing tickets. I’ve seen so many reviews of first time buyers getting taken advantage of in the same way. Please think twice before ordering tickets from this site.

I called them and asked for a refund. They said the show wasn't canceled just postponed. They said if the show is postponed I have the choice of either selling the tickets or since I live in Nashville once the date is set I could possibly get a refund. I explained I had no tickets and no show. Well the very next day I get an email from them saying the tickets were sent. But I never got the tickets. Called them again. They said they would check into it because they sent the money to the seller. So now I have no tickets and no money. I purchased tickets to several Cubs Spring Training games through Stubhub in December. On one purchase, there was no notification that the tickets would be sent to my home - I didn't find this out until AFTER the purchase. However, since spring training is in AZ, we would not be home when the tickets arrived. Stubhub CS said I had to wait several months to try to address the issue. I called them back after about a month and they reached out to the seller. After a LOT of going back and forth, the tickets were to be shipped to a FedEx location near the hotel. Right before we were to leave for vacation, I was informed that the tickets would be mobile instead (I was happy about this so it all worked out in the end, but the STRESS of not knowing where the tickets would end up was not worth the purchase!).
On the second set of tickets, I was informed that they would be delivered on March 2nd - the ballgame is on March 3rd. I contacted Stubhub to let them know I didn't have the tickets yet, they said the seller had until March 2nd to deliver them. I called them again on March 2nd after midnight as the tickets never arrived. Now, Stubhub tells me the seller had until 10a to deliver the tickets! They NEVER said that to me before! We were to leave for the game between 10:30a-11:00a. Well, 10a came and went and no tickets arrived. I contacted Stubhub AGAIN....they said they will see what they could do. However, the night before, they texted me..."we are watching these tickets like a hawk"....yeah, I guess the hawk left the building.
Finally, at 12:09p local time, an email arrived with a link to replacement tickets, along with billing information on the bottom. Stubhub said I wasn't to be billed for these replacement tickets. We drove to the game just in time to see the start of the game (I'm disabled so "moving fast" is not an option). Now, today 3/10 I contacted Stubhub to confer about the billing at the end of the email and was told to ignore it as it's to show what the ticket price is, but not that I'm being billed for it. Yet, on the email it literally states "The price may reflect the face value, not the price you paid"...and it shows BILLING INFO, lists the pricing and order fees, along with total AND payment info (i.e. Paypal). I discussed this with Stubhub via chat and when the CS thought I had a full understanding, she disconnected the chat with me even though I had a few more questions. Two nights before the event, StubHub notified me that they had sold 1 ticket. I telephoned them to say that I had not selected that I would sell 1, and was told that they had sold 1, and I had 3 left. Given that my selection of "don't leave me one" meant that no one could buy a pair (because that would me one), then I was left in the situation where I could only sell 3, which is an odd number to sell for an event. I explained to the supervisor that this really left me in a predicament and that I had not signed up to sell one ticket, to which she offered no solution.
The next day, I decided I was fighting a losing battle, so I transferred the one ticket to the Buyer. That night, I received an email from StubHub saying they had cancelled the sale. And they had charged my credit card $165 for doing so! So once again, I telephoned customer service, endured another long wait for an individual, and inquired about why they had done this. The agent agreed to credit me for the $165 charge, but said I would have to wait 6-12 hours for the customer to return the ticket to me. The concert began in approximately 22 hours at this point! It’s good to know you can always get tickets at all price levels - to an event even at the last minute - my only complaint is the service charge which just keeps going up and up - some more competitors might fix that or at least slow down the service charge increases

StubHub is a reliable secondary market for tickets to all events. The descriptions of the tickets are accurate, delivery of tickets is as advertised and the prices are often lower than other secondary market sites. As far as selling tickets on Stubhub, the process is very simple and dependable. Tickets are listed and when sold the money is deposited into the account the seller has set up through the website. I have been very satisfied with Stubhub over the years and they are always my first choice when searching for concert or sporting event tickets.

Ordered tickets to a Broadway theatre production and specific seats were indicated when purchasing. However, when I got to the venue, the seats on my tickets were nowhere near the area indicated previously. I ended up at the very back of the theater section, instead of about 2/3 of the way back as shown on the seating map. My indicated seating also was more centered in the theater and I ended up far to one side instead. I contacted customer service and they only offered to refund part of my ticket fee, which pretty insignificant, considering the price I paid was for significantly better seating. The inferior, lower value seating location seriously affected my enjoyment of the play and I will never use StubHub again.

Wanted to go see Bill Maher in Phoenix. Stubhub seemed to have the best prices, what a laugh! Paid $78/ for 2 tickets, and was charged an additional $51.66 for undisclosed fees. Total-$211.26. When I received tickets the face value was $63/ea. And the location was last row in the so-called club level. At no time was I made aware of the actual ticket price of the tickets, or I would not have purchased them. Also the seating chart was misleading. It looked like the tickets were close to the stage. Called, Poor customer service, would not recognize problem in their advertising and would take no responsibility. Last time I will order from this company, their policies rip off the consumer.

StubHub allows people to inflate prices if tickets. In April of 2019, Eric Church tickets went on sale in Dallas. My mother bought me and my wife tickets for Christmas. She paid nearly $400 for seats on the very last row of the last section of the top upper deck. These tickets sold for less than $30 each the week of the show. There has to be realistic regulations.

I purchased 2 floor tickets for Kiss final tour. When my daughter presented tickets to enter the event they were refused stating the tickets had been refunded. I contacted StubHub and had to settle for nosebleed tickets at additional cost. I was informed they would investigate and call me to refund the original purchase. They didn't know why it happened but would be in touch 24/48 hours So 72 hrs later I call again and sent to voicemail. Later I receive an email stating they were going to refund me but the amount was 40 dollars less than the cost.
I again called asking to receive a call back instead another email stating as a "courtesy" they will refund the full amount. UNBELIEVABLE... Not only did their failure to perform ruin her first concert causing her to MISS 45 MINS of the show and instead of premium seats stuck with the worst seats in the arena They couldn't take a moment to call as they promised then had the Gall to say as a courtesy they will refund the full purchase price. I would rather have 5 mins with the idiot in a room as a courtesy and they can keep the hundreds they charged.
I can tell you as a business owner when a snafu such as this were to happen I would certainly have made things whole for my customer. Especially given the fact that it caused the young lady to miss 1/3 of the show and had to pay full price twice for really bs level seats when she had premium floor seats to start. I think they could have done much better with a small level of effort. Just a heads up this will be how stubhub will backhand you.

I sold tickets on 4 January 2020 to an Elton John concert, dinner & show, for 31 January 2020. The buyer had paid for the tickets before I was asked to dispatch them. I dispatched the tickets to the buyer promptly the next day. The concert was held as scheduled and the buyer did attend. I know this as I had tickets for myself also and checked that the buyer was there. The concert finished about 30 mins early due to rain, after about 100 minutes. The promoters, without any obligation or requirement to do so, have offered free admission to other concerts to all ticket holders.
StubHub’s payment policy is that they will pay me within 15 days, on the 2nd or 4th Mondays after the event. On that basis, my payment was due on Monday 10 February. It is now 17 February, I have not received payment, instead I'm getting emails saying they are looking into it and that their specialized agents will contact me, but no one from the specialized department has yet contacted me. I will never use StubHub again for buying or selling tickets.

I purchased 2 tickets from StubHub to attend a Nashville Predators New York Islanders game & apparently the tickets were coming from 2 separate sellers. Upon arrival at the arena I’d realized I only received one ticket & the other the other seller had not yet released, so customer service at the arena told me to contact StubHub since I’d purchased the ticket through a 3rd party. So I get them on the phone the representative & myself go back & forth trying to get it resolved for over 40 minutes, he was unable to get me the second ticket because apparently I should have never even been able to purchase 2 tickets because the seats I wanted were only to be sold as a set of 3, so after standing in the lobby while missing the first period & intermission he told me he issued me a refund & some form of a credit towards my next purchase with them, which will NEVER happen.
Fast forward 3 days later. I check my bank account to see if it’s processed or pending to find no sight of anything. So naturally I contact customer service again to have a completely different conversation & told by this representative that I can not & will not be issued a refund, after going back & forth for another 35 minutes & that I’m personally at fault for the inconvenience. I did not attend the game because I never received my second ticket even spent $24 on parking. Even drove an hour out of my way to get to the arena, to be lied to by a rep that I was going to receive a refund for my purchase, & then call back 2 days later to be told I will not receive a refund and am personally at fault. The Csr department is apparently ran by incompetent professional deceivers, I would NEVER recommend spending a penny with or in this company, they do not appreciate or value their customers whatsoever. They don’t even deserve a single star but I must click at least one.

Bought tickets to a high profile basketball game only to show up to the game and find fans in my seat. Stubhub offered graciously to refund my money via the Fan Protect Guarantee, which was expected as I couldn’t sit in the seat I legitimately purchased. Next Stubhub offered me a $117 credit on a future sale. I expressed to Stubhub as customer that both sells and buys close to $10K in tickets annually, this $117 credit was low and ridiculous, especially given I had paid over $1K to travel to the game. Customer Service at Stubhub sucks and I will gladly be taking my business elsewhere.

When I went to the concert, my other two tickets were "cancelled." I asked the venue to check, and the tickets hadn't been used by anyone else to enter, but they were not accepted because apparently this is a thing stubhub does. This hardly seems legal and I am working to get my money back, but stubhub is being stubborn and acting like I am in the wrong for trying to use their service at all. I ended up having to buy more tickets at the door, and stubhub ended up cancelling the order on the tickets I sold on their site. All in all, I ended up losing ~$100 by ever using their site. I would have been much better off just giving away the tickets to people on the street outside the venue. ** Stubhub.

I’ve bought tickets multiple times that were advertised as lower level that were not lower level. You should check multiple sites including the venue website. Stubhub may say “lower level” very loosely. The more infuriating part was being hung up by one their “managers”. I was being friendly on the phone too. The venue website, competitor websites, and everything I could find online said that the section was upper level. The manager said the venue allowed them to sell this ticket, so if I had an issue, I should take it up with them.

I have recently bought 3 tickets from StubHub. I paid $20 service fee for every ticket. Total of $60. But I can't understand what I have paid for. Their website doesn't allow me to print the order. Their representative is not able to help me and encourage me to learn something new. So, in general, I have to spent half of my day learning how to get tickets from StubHub when I paid for their services. Therefore, why do I have to pay for your service if you don't provide any of that What I don't like most is that I can access my mobile tickets THE DAY BEFORE THE CONCERT. This is the most inconvenient way. Their fees have to be clear and not vague. The information when you purchase a ticket is rather misleading. Eventually I purchased NOTHING right now. The only confirmation I have is their email. I can't see the tickets. I can't print the order, and I paid this website $60 for their services.

I bought 2 concert tickets in April 2018 for a concert in Tampa in November 2018. We could not attend and sold the tickets back on StubHub a few days prior to the show. We received an email confirming that they were sold and the sales amount appeared back in our bank account a few days later. Fast forward to January 2019, I get an email from a COLLECTION AGENCY claiming that I owe $698 for an outstanding balance to StubHub. I called StubHub's customer service and was told that there were two postings for the same e-tickets that both sold despite showing only one listing on my account page on the website. These tickets were apparently for a November 2019 show. I had no idea that there were multiple listings as there was no indication of such according to my account.
StubHub claims that there were emails sent claiming such among the (literally hundreds) of spam, solicitation emails sent to my spam folder. Sure enough, these emails started appearing this past fall, well after the initial transaction a year prior. The "supervisor" with whom I spoke said that my outstanding debt had been sold to collections and that there was nothing left to do but pay the nearly $700 dollars to save my credit score. I will be contacting an attorney as well as the Better Business Bureau with my complaint.
