1st I'm not a crank; never did this before. 2nd I'm not stupid. I even went to college. I rated SeatGeek 1 star because there's no space for zero. I ordered two tix for Brewers 6/15 $57 each. The problems? Never notified about tickets after many many days. So I may have ordered 2x. I told them repeatedly I wanted 2 TIX not 4. The extra $78 was for nothing. Pure theft. They have two web pages. Each referring you to the other. Neither of any help. There's contact email address refers you back to the useless webpages. Of no use & no phone. They charged full price; $63 not $57. 24 hour guarantee? They came maybe 11 before, not 24. I have an hour and a half drive to the stadium. I told them over and over.
I finally got a phone number from Ballpark site and got Vivid tickets (same as SeatGeek it turns out). They did have a phone number. It was unassigned ie nonexistent. I called twice. I was dealing with this for hours a day over several days. Can't really express myself here. Imagine yourself as angry as you've ever been. Then multiply it. Many may have had good experienced. I'm warning the newbies. Use the box office. Bite the bullet.

Bought tickets in May 2021 for an event in August 2021. I choose the section and row for said event. In June I noticed that the app said I would not receive my tickets until Jan 2022. I emailed twice with no response. In July I notice that my tickets have been renamed to parking passes! I email And get no response. I could not find their number on the app so I Google and find them. During the call the representative confirmed that my tickets are parking passes. I explain that I did not buy parking passes. He confirms that there are seats associated but that they are not seat tickets but parking passes and he’ll have to check with the inventory team to see if they have tickets for my event. He told me to ignore the app where it says I won’t have my tickets till January. I’ll have to wait till the day of my event to get my tickets/parking passes.
Considering the issues already stated, he refused to transfer me to a supervisor and refused a refund. I’m expected to hope I actually get tickets. He also stated that SeatGeek can’t release tickets because there’s no barcode yet. That is a lie of course because I bought new tickets from Ticketmaster for the same event and there’s barcodes on those. This was my first experience with seatgeek and my last! I bought tickets. They’re Mine and they’re holding them hostage, if they even have them. I couldn’t sell them if I wanted to. They lied in the original posting and they scammed me. Hoping my credit card company can dispute this.

Could not even get a refund on a concert that was rescheduled a year and a 1/2 out that I could not go to. They would not sell my tickets for the price I asked and then I got absolutely no help with their customer service. I got screwed out of over a $100. Will never use them again.

Worst company ever. I tried to purchase tickets for an event. Web portal kept popping up saying "OH NO. Something went wrong." Find other tickets for this event. The charges went through anyways. One in the amount of $624.84 and the other for $639.06. I screened shot the error from their website as proof of purchase not going through. Their response was 'We sorry. Re-sell on our website". Even Though it was an IT issue on their end I still was not refunded this money. I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company and try to resell tickets. Do not buy tickets from them. Unscrupulous company.

Updated on 06/21/2021: I bought tickets to a hockey game that was cancelled. SeatGeek refuses to accept that this is true and will not refund my money. I have been contacting them for 53 days. It has been over a month since they last responded to my emails. I filed a claim with our credit card company and interestngly enough they found the time to respond right away to them that "their goods were as described and received in good condition." Not being able to go to a game that was cancelled but still having to pay does not seem to fit this description. I'm still fighting to get my money back for goods not delivered. It is very difficult though when the customer service won't acknowledge the problem. Do not ever use this company.

I was looking for ticket to a sporting event in a city on an upcoming trip. Was looking over different websites and stopped on SeatGeek. Their site is easy and user-friendly. Even better they offer seat views from each area to help make your choice easier. I found an area and clocked to add my card and purchase the seats. When receiving the email from them about my purchase I realize the date of the event was wrong. I reviewed the website for customer service phone number to call and explain my mistake. Of course, most companies make it difficult to find a human being and number to contact for service. So, the option was submit an email and they will gladly get back to you. After not receiving an email back later, I Google contact phone number. I call in order to get help in fixing my easy mistake and assistance to order the proper tickets which are way more expensive than these here I bought.
After a 26 minutes hold time, I make contact with their rep who starts to assist me. The short story is I am turned away saying, "We do not give the money back, that's our policy." I asked if they were serious about this? I figured this is a cut and dry case of wrong date and really all I am looking for is credit since I now must purchase the correct tickets for the correct date. I start to explain my displease kindly and not yelling or using foul language at all, and she hangs up on me. Look, I understand rules can be broken or assistance can be offered. I am a businessman in customer service where I deal in high end cars. I often (whether customer is right or wrong ) give people their money back because it's the right thing to do in make my business gain more happy customers. 3
We use their service at times to entertain our high end clients, but no longer. I am in charge of ordering tickets, but I will never again use them. I only wished I had read the review first before making this purchase. Everything in this world is a relationship business and easy word of mouth goes along time. It takes a lot of money to conquest a new customer. SeatGeek, here is yet another example of how your business model is not working and if the 86 dollars I paid you makes your business that much better. All the best! WE will never be back to spend another dollar.

I was on their site for Springsteen on Broadway tickets since Tuesday uninterrupted from my browser. At noon today when they went on sale my screen automatically said I was being put in the queue, then a few minutes later I was in line. It's 1:23 pm and my in-line bar hasn't moved I have no idea if I'm still in line because it says do not refresh. I can see on the other scalper sites people already asking up to $7304 for tickets. So They must be letting the profiteers in first somehow. No way they are doing this fairly. I don't believe it and it's annoying not getting an update saying you are still in line. I'm starting to miss the days of waiting out front and pushing and elbowing.

Bought tickets to a Red Sox game on 3/10/21. Went into the app to see if my tickets were there and it said the game was canceled. The game is not canceled, I could go right back into a different screen and buy the tickets for 1.5 times what I had already paid. Received no notification of any kind regarding the “cancelled” game. Sent an email on 05/15/2021 and received a form style reply on 05/19/21 asking me to go to the help center on their website. The email also said if my issue was not resolved after searching within the help center, which I had already done thoroughly, to reply to their email. I replied immediately. It is six days later and no reply from SeatGeek. Our event is in three days and all we want is the tickets that we already paid for. The game is not canceled!
They did this to us a month ago with Rockies tickets also. I did buy new seats for an additional cost That time, but not ok getting ripped off twice. To make things worse, even though the website says that refunds will be back to the original form of payment if there’s a cancellation, they kept our money and gave us a credit for a future event. Seriously? This is about nothing more than trying to bleed every last dime they can out of us. COVID is not an excuse for being a shady, thieving operation, SeatGeek. I had not received my tickets but everything online said they can sometimes come the day of, so I waited. Once there was about 2 hours until my game, I emailed. I attempted to "chat" on the website and everyone was offline. I called. I waited for 30 minutes and didn't get to speak to anyone. I did everything the site said. I searched every term they suggested, in my spam/junk/deleted. I did not receive them.
I had no way of contacting the seller. No one on Seatgeek has even responded to me or my 6+ emails. I missed the game, I drove there and could not get in without my tickets. SeatGeek says all over their website that you may receive tickets 24 hours before and even the day of the event so I was not concerned. Then the night before, I emailed SeatGeek on a standard form that keeps popping up as there are absolutely no phone numbers to contact anyone. Never got an email response. Then, I dug really deep and got a phone # and waited on hold for over an hour. The person that finally took the call had me check emails, apps, etc., and the tickets were not there. Now, I was still home and it was 1/2 before game time and I told him that I would like a refund or credit for another game. He told me that he could not do either of those. I hung up and handled it through AMEX. Lesson learned.

Terrible experience! I bought 4 tickets for Rockets/Warriors game in Houston two months ahead of time. I live in Indiana and we bought round trip flights. They guaranteed we’d get our tickets in time for the event so don’t be worried if you haven’t gotten them 24 hours beforehand. Well we flew down and as the hours drew closer with no tickets I called 3 times and was on hold waiting to speak with someone for over an hour each time. They couldn’t get me the tickets I bought and also couldn’t get similar ones because it was now two hours before the game. That game was the whole reason we flew to Houston. I asked for refund and to pay for my flights or something and they refused to do more than 120% of what I paid for the tickets. It wasn’t anywhere close to what we spent to fly down there for 4 people. I will never use SeatGeek again because they can’t actually guarantee anything. Made a purchase of 2 UFC tickets coming up in May. Despite SeatGeek’s “buyer guarantee,” there have been extensive reviews of people either never receiving a full refund on cancelled/postponed events or ever even receiving their tickets. The last thing I want to do is fly to Texas from CA to an event that I may not even be getting into. And waiting to get the tickets within 24 hours or day of the event is completely absurd.
I reached out via email inquiring about my tickets as I have yet to receive them and I’m still waiting for a response. I’m not willing to risk surprising my boyfriend tickets to this event, planning this trip, booking flights, hotel, etc. before even receiving the tickets. It’s not unreasonable to ask for tickets I paid for. If I don’t receive my tickets in the next couple days I will be escalating this matter and demanding a full refund.
Hi Monique,
Thanks for reaching out, I'd be happy to look into this order with you.
Your order for the upcoming UFC 262 Oliveira vs. Chandler match is confirmed and awaiting delivery. These tickets are Mobile Transfer tickets, which means they'll be delivered to your email address by the seller when available. I see that this event is on a "delayed release" which means tickets will be sent out to ticket holders 48 hours before the event begins.
That means you can expect an email with all of your ticket transfer information on 05/13, and we'll give you a heads up when we know the transfer has been sent.
In the meantime, I want to remind you that you are always protected by SeatGeek's Buyer Guarantee. This means that in the rare event that your tickets have any issues, we have options to help save the day! Depending on availability and your preference, we can find replacement tickets or refund you above and beyond your original purchase amount.

I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions--

I ordered two sets of four SEC Championship mobile tickets from Seatgeek, the first set of four came instantly as expected and promised the other four hit endless delays. Meanwhile my invited guests could not book air and hotel while waiting for tickets to come. We had endless emails (complete documentation) and many calls with unfulfilled promises So plans were aborted and friends uninvited. The explanation by Seatgeek was that acting simply as middlemen they could not control their ticket source, Ticketmaster. Cancellation of the unfulfilled order was refused, and a disputed charge with AMEX ensued. Should the dispute with AMEX fail, I intend to look into further actions through my company’s Council as a matter of principal.
If you choose to do business with this group I suggest you only risk an amount you are comfortable losing. I lost a few thousand dollars, disappointed friends who wanted to join me as guests for the game, and ended up spending miserable weeks keeping my friends in flux about the game I had invited them to. In my opinion, this is a poor business and at no point did they live up to any promises made. I have bought multiple hundreds of tickets to national championships, bowl games and SEC playoffs with no problems. This is my first time getting burned. I fully expect the company reputation defenders to try to refute my assertions, express insincere concern over my discontent, and then suggest we talk; standard gobbledegook response to bad press. Do not be fooled. I also noticed a HUGE discrepancy in the review ratings on their website versus other review venues, you can check to see if you see the same differences.

Original Review: I live in Canada and travelled to Georgia to a concert that was cancelled for a year. Surprisingly?, I of course cannot attend a year later but they refuse to return monies...telling me I can try and sell my tickets on their site. And that event was never cancelled..only postponed!.. Anyone purchasing tickets from this agency qualifies as “fool and his money are soon parted."
Hi Andy,
Thanks for reaching out today, I'd be happy to help you with this!
I took a look at your order for Andre Rieu and see that this event was actually postponed to a future date. This event was rescheduled to 3/8/2021, which you can also see noted in your SeatGeek ticket tab.
As a secondary ticket marketplace, we have to abide by the ticket polices set by the Box Office. In this case, they are not currently accepting ticket returns for refunds, so likewise we also cannot currently offer refunds. As I mentioned, your tickets will be good for the new date, so all you'll need to do is update your calendar and show up for the new date.
That means you still have a few options, though! If you cannot make the new date, or if you’re no longer interested in attending, you have every right to list these tickets for resale. I’d be happy to walk you through that process if you like. If the event status changes to “cancelled”, we’ll reach out via email with the new steps to get this order refunded for you.
I know we're all looking forward to when we can safely enjoy live events together again. In the meantime, please rest assured that you are protected by our Buyer Guarantee.

I bought game 7 tickets to the World Series through SeatGeek for the Dodgers vs Rays. The good news the Dodgers, my hometown team won. The bad news I could not go see them in person. I read SeatGeeks guarantee if there was not a game 7 they would refund me my money. A week goes by, no refund. Two weeks go by, still no refund. So I email SeatGeek who emailed me verbatim "you will receive the email within 3 to 4 weeks since this is the process to follow for all events canceled due to COVID issues." To my knowledge that while Justin Turner did have a positive COVID test game 7 did not occur because the Dodgers had won the World Series and thus was impossible to happen. And the 3 to 4 weeks was just to receive the option for a refund.
Now over a month, they sent me options to obtain a 140% refund or a full refund. After choosing my full refund I am now told it will take an additional 30-45 days to receive my refund. I am an ER nurse and I am aware of how COVID have ravaged a litany of businesses' finances. But this is beyond horrible business practices and I urge anyone to think twice before ever using this platform to purchase tickets.
Hi Regionald,
Thanks for reaching out on this, and sorry to hear that you've had a frustrating experience with us. I was very happy to see that your refund for this cancelled event has already been initiated, and that it will be in your account within the next few days!
Under normal circumstances, all refunds are sent within a week, but the sheer number of event cancellations has greatly impacted our processing timeframes. As circumstances improve, I know we're all looking forward to getting back to normal.
We are working as rapidly as we can to ensure each affected user is taken care of, so we truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this unusual waiting period. Unlike a simple credit card transaction, refunds are a manual reversal of funds and thus subject to external factors like bank hours and processing periods.
Lastly, I wanted to personally thank you for your efforts as an ER nurse. We are all depending on you and your coworkers, and your service is both commendable and heroic.

Hi Dorie,
Thank you for taking the time to write in. I've reviewed your case and found that your tickets were available in your SeatGeek account within a minute of your purchase, a full day before the event took place. While it does look like you had some trouble logging into your account and needed to reset your forgotten password, I do not see any issues on our end that would have prevented you from accessing the tickets. Because of this, we could not issue a refund for the properly delivered tickets.
I am really happy that you were able to receive assistance from the Box Office to print out the tickets and that you could get in before halfway. If we had had more time to work with you the day before the event, rather than the morning of, I am confident that we could have assisted you in navigated your inbox to reset your password. If you are still unable to access your account, please do let us know so that we can make sure you have reliable access.

I understand that there is an astronomical amount of work and money involved in refunding all the tickets to events that have been cancelled or "postponed" due to Covid but I strongly feel that as this type of business they need to be prepared (possibly insured?) to refund tickets any time events are cancelled or postponed, not just during a pandemic. Long story short I finally get an email stating the acknowledge the concert is canceled and I will get a credit towards my account. I call and ask them to change it to a direct return of my money which they do but will now take 30 - 45 days. It's now October. I've been out $1000 for 8 months now. This should be illegal to keep people's money this long for services not rendered. Will never purchase through them again.
Hi Brooke,
After reviewing your order I'm happy to see we were able to get you fully refunded. I definitely understand the frustration with the timeline, it's been a difficult year and it's affecting the timeframe of many processes--Both on our end and with the venues that ultimately decide how concerts will proceed.
It looks like we received official word of your event cancellation on 10/6/2020, which is when we were able to offer refund options. Up until a venue cancels an event, the Box Office usually refuses to refund ticket holders since the original tickets are still valid. As a secondary marketplace, we have to follow their policy.
Right now, we're experiencing slow downs in our payment processors, so all cash refunds are taking between 30-45 days to reach accounts. It is our sincere hope that we will be able to return to our previous timeline soon!
If you have any remaining questions, you can reach out to us at hi@seatgeek.com.

SeatGeek is the worst ticket reseller that I've ever used. I purchased tickets to a Billy Joel concert that was scheduled for June of 2020. Due to the pandemic that concert wasn't canceled, it was rescheduled to December 20, 2020. This wasn't ideal as our vacation plans were schedule for June and not December however, we thought we could make it work. Unbelievably, this event was just rescheduled to February of 2022. What? You have to be kidding me? I immediately requested a refund but was told I couldn't have one because it was reschedule.
Rescheduling an event for two years after when it was supposed to happen isn't rescheduling, it's canceling without return of money. In my opinion, this is a dishonest way to do business. My recommendation is to avoid SeatGeek at all cost. There are many other companies out there that provide refunds to their customers. Stubhub is one of them. I had Broadway tickets that I purchased from Stubhub and they immediately returned my money. Stay away from SeatGeek!
Hi Mark,
I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. I'd like to explain the situation a little farther.
In the case of the postponed Billy Joel concert, the event organizers have currently chosen to postpone to a far out date: Feb 2022. I believe their hope is to avoid making any other changes, especially since everyone is unsure how to plan for the future given our current circumstances.
We understand that this puts fans in a frustrating situation. As a secondary ticket marketplace, we have to abide by the ticket polices set by the Box Office. In this case, they are not currently accepting ticket returns for refunds, so likewise we also cannot currently offer refunds.
That means you still have a few options, though! If you cannot make the new date, or if you’re no longer interested in attending, you have every right to list these tickets for resale. With a popular event like this, and one scheduled so far out that it'll likely be unaffected by the current pandemic, you have a great shot of recouping your money. I’d be happy to walk you through that process if you like. If the event status changes to “cancelled” at any point, we’ll reach out via email with the new steps to get this order refunded for you.
I know we're all looking forward to when we can safely enjoy live events together again. In the meantime, please rest assured that you are protected by our Buyer Guarantee.

We received an email on 6/30/20 promising a full refund in 2-3 weeks and were told we had to 'do nothing' as the purchase price would be refunded to the credit card on file because the event was canceled. It is now August 27th and 5 emails later we are being told 30-45 more days until we receive our refund well over $1,000. This company lies and does not honor their written contractual guarantee. Do not trust them!!!
Hi Karen,
After taking a look at your case I am happy to see that this order has been fully refunded. After we received official cancellations from the MLB (at the end of June) we reached out to let you know that you should expect an email regarding refund options.
We then followed up via email within 2-3 weeks to let you know that your order had been refunded with an account credit worth 110% of your purchase. In that email, we explained that you could make changes to your refund method by getting in touch with our customer support team. It looks like that's exactly what you did, and following a conversation with our team we were able to update your refund election to a method that worked better for you.
We are working as rapidly as we can to ensure each affected user is taken care of, so we truly appreciated your patience and understanding during the waiting period. Due to factors outside of our control, a cash refund can currently take up to 45 days to show up in your bank account. We hope we return to our typical timeframe soon.
If there's anything else we can help you out with, please reach out to us via email at hi@seatgeek.com. Our support team is available every single day between 10AM-10PM EST.

I was denied refund for concert tickets because it was postponed & not cancelled. It is a shame that SeatGeek is not providing refunds for concerts that have been postponed out a year or more. There is no way to know if I will be able to attend the rescheduled concert date in a year, or sell my tickets on my own (as they suggest), or be able to collect the equivalent amount for full price that I spent on the tickets. I think they are taking advantage of the customers, the very people who keep their business afloat, during a vulnerable and unprecedented time with the corona pandemic at hand. I received refunds for flights, hotels, Vegas shows, restaurant reservations, and other postponed concerts through TicketMaster.
This tells me that SeatGeek is one of the selfish few who will keep my money, even in light of the financial hardships that we are all facing with the closure of businesses and employees sitting at home with no source of income. It is a direct reflection of how little they value their customers, how little they care for their customers' satisfaction, and their total disregard for the financial well-being of their fellow mankind. I have read many other reviews and complaints online regarding the refusal to refund tickets and I can assure you (and certainly hope) that future business will suffer, as the customers who have been loyal to them will seek other ways to procure event tickets in the future. Sadly disappointed.

I do not recommend SeatGeek ticket service. I have been waiting for a $1,100 refund on tickets paid for and never received on an event that was ultimately cancelled. I have only received emails from their “no-reply” url giving me 7 days to select optional tickets. No offer to make good on their money back guarantee or a person to talk to. Use Ticketmaster or StubHub to protect your investment.

Seat Geek did eventually refund my purchase but it took months. I honestly cannot recommend them over other ticketing sites as the time and effort it took me to finally get in touch with someone was unacceptable. Not having a customer service phone number to actually speak to someone is frustrating and is not something I would want to deal with again. While I appreciate them finally doing the right thing, I cannot say I would ever want to risk going through something like this again with their company.
Original Review: July 10, 2020
SeatGeek is the worst ticketing site ever. We are in the middle of a pandemic and many events are being cancelled. I requested a refund in full and instead got a credit that is valid for 12 months. I am an at risk person and the likelihood of being able to safely attend a concert within the next year is pretty low. I have been unable to speak to a representative as there is no phone number or email available to contact. I specifically asked for a refund and without any communication they send a credit. This is absolutely unacceptable.
While I understand the pandemic has made it hard for both buyer and seller, they should offer full refunds unless the customer is ok with a credit. I’m mortified that I’m going to lose nearly $700 as there is no guarantee it will be safe to return to large events within 12 months. You need to do better SeatGeek - customers safety should always come first. I will NEVER use them again for my ticketing purchases. What a mistake! Stay away from them as there are so many more reliable ticketing sites out there.

My out of town event was cancelled due to the Coronavirus. I wanted a refund for my cancelled event, instead I received a credit that expires in a year. I don't live in a major sports market and I don't believe I'll be going to any events for the foreseeable future. Here is the timeline: 6/12 - I received an email that my event was cancelled. 6/22 - I opened a support case to get a refund instead of a credit. 6/25 - I received an email reply that stated that since I didn't respond within 7 days that I could not get a refund.
6/25 - I called and spoke with a rep who repeated the 7 day limit on refunds. I asked about the reason for 7 days and she mentioned that's what the seller wanted. She was going to check with her team and get back to me, the call ended. 6/25 - I called back and spoke with another rep and had a similar conversation. I asked why 7 days instead of some other number. She said a survey was sent to customers and that's what the customers wanted. She said she would check with her team and get back to me. 7/7 - I have not heard anything further.

Hi Cosimo,

Hi Werner,
There's no denying it: fees are the worst part of buying tickets. However, they are necessary since these fees help SeatGeek keep the lights on, pay the sellers that list tickets on our marketplace, and continue to provide a great product for finding live events.
Fees can vary greatly from listing to listing, based on the event and the type of ticket that you’re receiving, but we always try to be as transparent as possible. You can view listings with or without the fees included by toggling the "Prices with Fees" filter while viewing an event on the SeatGeek website, or by tapping "Filters" when viewing an event in the SeatGeek app.
You always will see a breakdown of the delivery and service fees for your order before it's submitted. This will give you time to review the full sum of your order.
I hope that helps explain SeatGeek fees a little further, but you can also find more information in our Help Center or by speaking with our team at hi@seatgeek.com.

I have been completely let down and misled by this company, which makes me questions their legitimacy. What if I want to resell the tickets that I bought? Nowhere on their site did SeatGeek inform me that I would not have the tickets when I was purchasing them. It said, I would receive the tickets 3 days, after the purchase - Not true.
Anyway, the show was cancelled due to Covid-19 and part of SeatGeek's cancellation policy guarantees you a full refund. Well it seems SeatGeek have gone quiet on me. Like many others, I am unlikely to receive a refund unless I take the legal route. I paid $375 for two tickets and received nothing. They said "our policy you signed is no refunds unless band cancels"....I DID NOT BUY THESE TICKETS FOR A CONCERT TWO YEARS LATER! They should refund this **. Basically they should cancel the concert and create a brand new one, but no, they just are keeping the millions hoping maybe we all die before the concerts. I hate these people so much now and I am out $3000. Where will you be in 18 months from now? Who the hell knows! **...AX did nothing, they suck too.

Spend almost $400 on 2 tickets to an NBA game that was suppose to take place in Atlanta mid March. Was going to take my son flying in from NY. Because of Covid 19 the game was cancelled. I have made numerous attempts to get my money back. All I get are belittling email responses that the game has been rescheduled. However, I have asked twice for the date and time of this rescheduled event with no information provided. As apparently that they have information that both the state of Georgia and the NBA itself do not have! The NBA is nowhere near restarting the season. The current plan is that maybe the teams would be, if their home state’s permit, allowed limited team practice starting May 1st. Meaning not as a team but individually. Then the NBA stated a two week mini training camp for readiness. Then still likely not fans at games.
Seatgeek knows darn well this game will NEVER be rescheduled. In addition I told them that I was on a temporary assignment in Atlanta and leaving in May of this year. So I was told I could re-sell my non-tickets for a non-scheduled event myself. Or I can Plan on attending this “fictional” re-scheduled event and pay an additional $1500 to travel back with my son to attend this non Event. In these very trying times I feel what they are doing is criminal and so very pitiful. Please never ever never ever use this horrible company. Their 100% money back guarantee is a total lie and joke! Again please never use this company if for no other reason that they took advantage of many people during the worse of times.

The tickets were expensive and with us travelling on the South African Rand, they cost even more. The dates have come and gone, and despite repeated attempts to reach SeatGeek to request a refund, there has been nothing forthcoming. Every single vendor, hotel, airline company concerning our trip has either given us a voucher or a refund. Why is Seatgeek hanging onto everyone's money without refunding or communication - Covid could go on for a year, but in any event - there should be a guarantee to their customers to get a refund for what they haven't received? We cannot afford to lose this money. They are holding everyone to ransom by staying quiet and using automated responses instead of being honest.

Anyways Seat geek replied back saying that the event was postponed Because there was no official statement that the event was cancelled and that they can not refund me and that my only option was to sell my tickets. I don’t understand how they keep telling me there’s no statement the event is cancelled when It is obviously cancelled!!! And there is no one in their right mind going to buy re-sold tickets to an event with no date and in the middle of a pandemic!!!! Do not purchase any tickets from this app. You will not get a refund unless the event you purchased for is cancelled. I purchased tickets to an MLB game then the coronavirus happened. My app still says I have active tickets to that game. The tickets have not been released to me and the game was supposed to be on 3/27. According to SeatGeek, the new 2020 schedule is out for the baseball team. When I go to look for that team’s schedule on the team website, all the games say TBD. I reached out to SeatGeek explaining my predicament and how if their announcements were accurate, we absolutely cannot attend that event due to my guy being gone for military training and us not living anywhere near the stadium. They basically said I’m SOL.
I got tickets basically sitting on the home team dugout for $150. The game (according to the schedule they’ve posted {which is NOT posted anywhere else}) is now ‘rescheduled’ for a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Not only will I not be able to sell these tickets, but I’ll be out $150 because they aren’t willing to work with buyers because it’s not their responsibility. Their job is to help sellers and collect a fee. Once the transaction of money is complete, they’re out of the deal. They get their money, they’re gone.
It is absolutely ridiculous that they are not willing to improve their customer service during this unforeseen pandemic. People are getting screwed but hey, they got their cut so ✌????. Moral of the story - check on multiple sources that the event you’re interested in is actually scheduled for the day SeatGeek has released because if you don’t verify the date and it gets changed, you’re literally SOL. And they will tell you that.

This was especially true during the MLSchampionship game when I had to pay an insanely high ticket fee. I understand that's how you make money but the fees limit my ability to give to as many games as I'd like to and it also pushes me towards acquiring tickets through alternative methods like OfferUp and other in person transactions so I can avoid high fees.

My husband purchased two front row seat tickets for the Wake Forest vs Notre Dame basketball game on February 29th and he was ecstatic because there were still front row seats available for the game. Once we got here...we found out why!! As we were walking down to our seats, front row behind the net...the attendant looked at us and said "I'm sorry. You are really going to hate these seats". My husband and I looked at him a little confused and asked why. He then proceeded to tell us that the cheerleaders are stationed directly in front of us at every single home game and he was exactly right. Not only were they stationed right in front of us, but they also use the railing right in front of you for mapping out their routines to where the board is legitimately one foot from your face. Why they even have these seats as an option for someone to purchase is beyond me.
We went from being extremely excited to have front row seats to moving up to the far upper level where we were able to find an empty seat. Mind you, we paid $55 per ticket for our original seat only to end up in a seat that would have cost around $10 per ticket. During the game when trying to see what our options were, I reached out via online chat with SeatGeek. Since the seller did not notate that these tickets had an OBSTRUCTED VIEW, he kindly opened a ticket for me and for his team to investigate the issue in accordance with their Buyer Guarantee.
To which, they then advise that they do NOT consider moving objects as part of their Obstructed View definitions, even though the cheerleaders are stationed there at EVERY SINGLE GAME!! How that does not fall within their obstructed view and buyer guarantee is beyond me. Needless to say, it resulted in them apologizing to us for the dissatisfaction and that was all...so the time spent on this was worthless and we will never purchase tickets from them. I only hope that others can learn from this and if we would have known that was where the cheerleaders would be, we would have purchased other tickets. Pretty poor on their part as well as the venue and seller.

Once I called in to figure out what was happening the customer service representative was very helpful and made sure I got tickets but it's a weird process. They should approve all tickets before their allowed to sell, so the buyer doesnt have to wait for the seller, they should already be in SeatGeek possession.

Hi Arthur,
When the seller of your order listed the tickets, they were under the impression they would be getting mobile transfer tickets. This is why they were listed as such. Once the seller found out the tickets they would be getting are hard stock tickets, we updated you promptly of this change. Sellers have various relationships with promoter, teams, and venues. This is why the tickets the seller got for this event were hard stock.
There is no scam as you will be getting tickets for the event you selected and they will arrive well before the event. Our team has already supplied you with a tracking number so you will be able to follow the delivery of those tickets.
Our policy is that all sales are final. If you get the correct tickets in time of the event we cannot refund the order. The delivery method listed was listed in good faith as the method the seller believe they would get the tickets, we made sure to update you as soon as they were updated to the change. No other changes were made to your order.

My husband and I decided last minute to go to a hockey game and figured we could buy tickets once we got there through an App. We arrived a few minutes into the game and found the SeatGeek app which had Instant Download so we found our tickets and purchased them, spending $192. It said our tickets were purchased but when it came time to download them, the app kept telling me I was using the wrong password, the password I knew was correct because I had created it 5 minutes earlier when I downloaded the app. After about 20 minutes of trying to figure out how to get the tickets I finally found a chat I could get on, so I logged on and talked to a girl, I explained the situation and she said she would email the tickets directly to me.
At that point my connection was lost so when I got it back I checked my email and only found she had sent a link to change my password, so I get on yet another chat and explained the situation to a guy who just kept asking why my password was not working and I kept telling him I did not know but that I had just paid $192 for tickets and I could not access them and at that point I told him the game was already half over so I wanted a refund. He told me he respected my decision but I would not get a refund. I ended the chat telling him I better get my money back, that I still did not have the tickets even though it said Instant Download.
4 hrs after the game had started (it was already over at this point) I got a call from a woman telling me she will email me the tickets and I yelled at her that the game is over and I want my money refunded. Her response was to tell me she would figure out a solution and call me back and I again said the solution is for my money to be refunded. I received 2 more emails the following day telling me they will email my tickets once I give them the last 4 digits of the card I used. They KNOW I have never received the tickets but yet don't want to give me a refund.
I have filed a claim with my bank, I did this as I was on the second chat and knew I wasn't getting anywhere, I explained the situation to them so hopefully they will get me my refund. One of the emails made a comment about the fact that we bought the tickets after the game had already started...I'm pretty sure we are not the first people to ever buy tickets a few minutes into a game! I will NEVER use this App again and will tell everyone and anyone to do the same.
Hi Cynthia,
Very sorry to hear you did not get a prompt reply, generally we try to respond right away and assure you can see the event. I can see here the main issue was not being able to access the account, which we did try to resolve but as the event had started was not the quickest course of action.

Seat Geek claims to exist for the purpose of getting more fans/people to events, but when you charge $114 in service fees, most people will back out. Hey Marshall,
We try our hardest to keep tickets within our platform to avoid additional third party transfers. However, sometimes certain events or venues will require a specific app be used to send tickets. When this happens we have to have our sellers fulfill tickets outside of SeatGeek.

Hi Don,
We do offer tickets on the secondary marketplace, meaning these tickets are being resold. So our sellers will set the price for the tickets based on what they feel they are worth. At times this will be above the box office cost of a ticket, other times these prices can fall below to box office price.
You can always check the box office to see if tickets are available and what they are going for if they are prior to looking at our platform, that way you know if you're able to get a good deal or not!

In October we ordered and paid in full to SeatGeek 4 full tournament tickets for the Men's Pac12 basketball tournament in Las Vegas, March 11-14. A few days ago we received 4 tickets in the mail for only session one. There are 11 games so no tickets for 9 games. We do not live in Las Vegas so months ago we purchased airfare and lodging, time was taken off work and schedules were arranged. We were so excited to go on this trip and so when we contacted SeatGeek about not getting all our tickets we expected them to get us the remainder of our tickets. Unbelievably they offered to refund us our money for the tickets. They said that even though what we purchased and what was advertised as "All-Tournament tickets" it was a programming error and it should have been advertised only "Session One".
We will NEVER EVER deal with SeatGeek again and will do our best to let everyone we know how they took our money for 4 months and then never came through with what we paid for and cost us hundreds of dollars for their mistake. Please do not use this company and encourage those people you love to do the same.
Hi Seth,
I do understand your intention was to purchase full strip tickets for the tournament. We make sure we display our listings as what they are, so the tickets you purchased were under the event header `Pac 12 Basketball Tournament Session 1` which is why you only got tickets to that session. If you want to purchase tickets to all the games you would want to be sure to select the listings for `full strip` which includes all the games over the weekend.
We made an exception on our all sales are final policy and offered you a refund to return the tickets. We did that as you did not want tickets for just one game and our hope was by making this exception and getting you a refund you'd be able to purchase the full strip tickets you had intended to purchase when you selected the session 1 tickets. The additional courtesy offer of $75 was to help you in purchasing the tickets you had intended to buy.
There was no technical error or glitch in our system, the even header said session 1 and the seller provided you the correct tickets. Be sure when purchasing tickets on any platform in the future to look for full strip tickets and not ones labeled with specific sessions.

I've used SeatGeek on and off for a couple years. Initially this was a very easy to use platform and things worked quite well. This year however, my last two ticket orders have been botched and the support offered has been awful. Most recently, I ordered tickets to an event a week in advance. I was given the shipping confirmation immediately, but the tickets didn't arrive on the date noted in the shipping confirmation. After two days of SeatGeek support making excuses, I was told 24 hours before the event that the seller is worried the tickets won't arrive in time so I can take time off work and travel to a hotel to go pick them up. Unreal!!! What is the point of this platform in that case?
I asked for a refund so I can buy tickets from someone more responsive, but SeatGeek "cannot offer refunds once an order is placed" I was told. If you're going to sell items online, you have to be able to reverse transactions. Then SeatGeek support told me I can buy new tickets, then take time off work to go pick up the original tickets and sell those one on their platform too. Are you kidding me? Unreal experience... I will not be using this platform again.
Hi Jay,
While we do understand the inconvenience of not having the tickets shipped directly to you, sometimes venues will put a delay on the tickets they issue to sellers. The reason the seller needed to do local pickup is we didn't want to risk shipping them close to the event and you not getting the tickets.
The good news is that you shouldn't have to take any additional time off work to get the tickets. They will be available the day of the event and the pickup location we provided to you is only an 8 minute walk from the stadium! So while it's a little extra walking, there is no need to take time off work.

Hi Bob,
We do realize it can be an inconvenience when an artist or team needs to postpone their event. This is not something we have control over and that decision is made by the promoter or team. In these cases if the tickets purchased are still valid for the new date, then we need to honor the sale.
Our policy is that all sales are final. This is due to the fact that with the secondary marketplace we are matching buyers with sellers, so we can't take that sale away from a seller unless the tickets will no longer be honored.

Overall the experience was fairly easy, the process was quick and as I already had a TicketMaster account, both purchases were really easy to transfer. However the fact the tickets were being transferred wasn't clear until after I'd made a purchase. In addition, I was extremely shocked at the level of fees. One order had almost $30 for one ticket in fees and the other was $42 PER TICKET in fees. None of which were transparently communicated in advance of going to the checkout. Finally, I bought two different sets of tickets and it was frustrating I had to do them as completely separate checkout processes.

On 10 January 2020 I purchased tickets to a concert scheduled for 7 February 2020. I received several emails stating that my purchase was “confirmed” and that the tickets would be delivered via the App the day prior to the show. When I opened the App, the confirmed tickets were identified in the tickets portion of the App. On the day of the show, 7 February at 5:55pm, 2 hours prior to the start while I was at the venue, I received a phone call from SeatGeek that I did not hear. They left a voice mail and followed up with an email stating that the tickets were not released, but I would be reimbursed 120%.
I called SeatGeek to try and understand what was happening and I was placed on hold for 17 minutes. When the representative came back on I asked to speak to a manager. I was placed on hold again for another 22 minutes before being told they were closing for the night and could not assist. The representative promised to have a manager call me the next day. No one ever called. It is now 5 days post incident and I have yet to speak to anyone or receive my refund. In conclusion, my tickets are pulled 2 hours before the start of the show, customer service does not follow through, and I have to do the legwork to get my refund. Buyer Beware.
Hi William,
Thank you for reaching out.
We're truly sorry for any inconvenience regarding this issue. We did have an update that our team followed up with you regarding this issue. To expedite the process, we have alerted our team to followup on this again. You hopefully received a call from a manager shortly after that.
We did process the refund back on 2/11 for 120% due to this, as per our guarantee.
Again, we apologize for any inconvenience here and we look forward to taking care of this for you.

If I would have KNOWN before I purchase the tickets that I would have to have a smartphone; I would NOT have bought the tickets. I did not know this until after the fact. I do believe this. It is VERY discriminating to older folks who are not very computer literate! Of course my kids agree that I should get with the program & get a smartphone but I am stubborn & will not. Rocky was the best and put up with me & helped to solve the issue; But I do believe you should be upfront about the scan only ticket you are selling. It may have been there in your website and I just did not see it. I will definitely make sure that is not the case from now on. Thanks to Rocky. I can see Blake Shelton & his crew.

Buying and getting the tickets was very easy, and the quality was great. The only thing I would recommend to the site is to have different options for currency - not all just USD. I bought my tickets and was surprised when my Visa was charged more than what I expected. It would just be nice to know up front in my currency what I will be paying.
Hi Haley,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review with us. I certainly understand where you're coming from here, and I've passed along this feedback to our team to see if we can consider this in future iterations of SeatGeek services.
Right now, SeatGeek is a US based company that only has options to display in USD. We do not currently have a way to account for conversion rates, or handle most international payments. Until any changes are announced, please be aware that you will always see prices in USD for every event on the SeatGeek platform.
I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions--

Tickets didn’t say they were standing room only until AFTER I purchased them which I was NOT happy about! If I knew this I wouldn’t have bought them. This is dishonest and I’m not sure if I’ll go through SeatGeek again.
Hi James,
We always try to accurately display if tickets will be standing room only or not. It seems like for this listing that note was not included. We apologize for that as we want people to know prior to attending an event if they. are going to have a seat or need to stand.
I will be sending a private message to you to try and resolve this. Hope you still had a great time at the game!

I have used SeatGeek a couple times and have always received my tickets in a timely and accurate manner. This time was just like the rest, except there was no way to see where the seats were located. I ended up having to go to the venue site and act as if I was going to purchase tickets in order to see the venue layout and make a guess as to where my seats would be. We ended up further back than I anticipated in seats without backs.

My concern was not resolved. I purchased two tickets for the first Lakers game since Kobe Bryant’s death. It was going to be the Memorial game and tickets were selling at premium prices. I paid $1463 for tickets that would normally sell for $200. However the game was postponed until a later date. I was told there is no refund and I could try and resell them. Now they won’t sell for more than $200 and I’m out over $2500. I will not be using SeatGeek in the future.

My tickets were purchased on approx Nov 11th for Elton John & they were a birthday present for my wife. We went to dinner then went to go into TD Garden in Boston to see the event only to learn that our tickets were not valid. We were very disappointed to say the least. We couldn't afford any other tickets and ended up not seeing the concert. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. I immediately called my bank and was credited the full amount while they conducted their investigation.
Fast forward to yesterday 1/31/2020 & we received notification from our bank that they were reversing the charges & now debiting the full amount from our account due to Seat Geek proving they delivered tickets & the transaction was a good transaction (they cannot prove the tickets were valid or invalid). They said the only way to rectify was to call Seat Geek directly & that's what I did. I ended up speaking with Rocky & he listened to what happened and then spoke with his advisors. I shared proof of what transpired with the app, the printed tickets and what our bank did. He fixed the problem immediately (within 45 mins) and we are anticipating a full refund +. Thank you Rocky!

I purchased pretty pricey tickets through this website over a month in advance of the concert I had intended to go to for my boyfriend's Christmas present. SeatGeek had instructed me to print my tickets out which I did and come the night of the concert my boyfriend and I show up ready and excited to go. Both tickets scanned invalid, so we were directed to the box office where we were told that we would not be admitted to the concert due to fraudulent tickets. My only option was to call the Seatgeek support line where they then informed me they could not get me actual replacement tickets for the concert but that the only option was a refund. I had the employee verify the amount I would be receiving back and was told that I'd be given a 120% refund but I have yet to receive any such refund and this was about a week ago.
I do not recommend using this website nor will Seatgeek ever receive my business again. I would not call this site trustworthy and I would have rather paid the extra $20-30 to buy tickets off a different site that I know I can trust than to have had to go through that and discover what I thought was an awesome Christmas present ended up being a waste of time money and a lot of disappointment.
Hi Rachel,
We are very sorry this happened.
I did check the status of your refund. We issue that on 1/24 and it can take up to 5 business days for it to show on your card for 100% of the refund. So that should be on your account now, if it is not please let us know and we can see what is causing the delay.
The additional 20% is sent through PayPal, so that can take upwards of 10 business days as we send those out in batches but will be sent soon.

I purchased tickets for Hamilton in Aug for Jan 28 performance. I paid $337 a ticket and $83 in fees. I know that was crazy and I should have realized it. Tickets were to be sent FedEx Jan 24. Never received. Called SeatGeek. They called vendor and said ticket will be at box office night of performance and they would upgrade our seats. When I picked up tickets they were $207 per ticket, that was $130 more per ticket and then there were fees. I felt I was scalped. I know everyone wants to make a profit but $400 for one event is crazy. When I called they told me there was nothing they could do. Done. I am too done. I learned never order tickets too early and never use SeatGeek!!!!
Hi Elizabeth,
Thank you for taking the time to write in. I hope you had a great time at the show, and I'd be happy to explain what's going on with the price difference you're seeing.
Much of the inventory listed on SeatGeek originates from the secondary market, which means the tickets were purchased at the venue box office and are now being resold. We allow sellers to price their tickets based on market price. This is why you will often see a discrepancy between the face value of the tickets and their price when listed for resale.
Sellers generally price their tickets according to demand, or according to what they predict demand will be. Consequently, tickets might be listed for more than face value if an event is sold out, or if tickets to an event are in unusually high demand. On the other hand, they might be listed at lower than face value if the seller anticipates little demand, or if they have a lot of inventory they have not sold close to an event date.
Bottom line? If you're looking to buy tickets it's always a good idea to check the box office first. If you're using SeatGeek, I recommend making use of our tools to know when you're getting a good deal: We have a Deal Score that ranks prices compared to historical prices, availability of tickets, and other factors, and we have a Price Match Guarantee to help our users get the best price compared to other secondary marketplaces.
Hopefully that helps, but please let me know if you have any further questions!
Also, check out our Help Center for more information on the tools I mentioned above. (https://support.seatgeek.com/hc/en-us/articles/360033424894)

Doing the above is very very easy and simple on Ticketmaster, they just charge it back to the card you used to purchase and apparently here I have to provide front and back pics of my driver's license for it to be verified which is just a little different than other places I’ve done this before. Not a big deal but I just want this to be out there as soon as possible so I have a better chance of selling the tickets because my wife does not like the seats because of how high in State Farm Arena they are.
Hi Rick,
Thanks for writing in about this. Totally valid to be a bit frustrated with the extra steps you had to go through to list your payout method on SeatGeek.
Payout accounts are subject to the same government regulations as a traditional bank account and can sometimes require additional identity verification. For further information, you can always reach out to our payments team at verify@seatgeek.com.
That team follows up after verification has been completed, which usually happens pretty quickly during business hours (9am-8pm EST, Monday-Friday). On weekends and holidays, they'll be in touch the following business day.

Buyer Beware! My first ticket purchase through Seat Geek is my last. On May 2, 2019, I bought 2 tickets to the Nov. 9, 2019, USC v. ASU football game. The tickets were located in Section 26, Row 39. On the day of the game I was informed “that the original purchased tickets...are no longer available, but the seller is offering upgraded tickets under Section 26 row 20.” Having driven from Los Angeles to Tempe to attend the game, there was no acceptable practical alternative but to accept the upgrade.
Upon entry into the stadium and absent any further notification, I discovered the row was changed again, from row 20 to row 17. The original seats had been selected because of their location: shade from the overhang and mobility issues with stairs. The “upgraded” seats were in the hot Arizona sun and involved 22 extra stairs. The SeatGeek Guarantee is skillfully crafted and misleading.
As I discovered, number 3 of the guarantee: “The tickets you receive will be the same as those you ordered.” Same does not mean the tickets you ordered. Number 4 of the guarantee gives cover to SeatGeek: “If any of these things do not occur, you will be provided with comparable or better tickets to the event or offered a refund.” In short, there’s no guarantee that the tickets you ordered will be the tickets you receive. Buyer Beware!

I received a promotional email from SeatGeek about an event that I had wanted to attend but was too expensive when I had initially looked. I clicked on the link and it brought me straight to the app interface with the full stadium in view and showing only 4 available groups of tickets. I tried several different numbers of tickets just to see if it was the number of tickets I was looking for causing the lack of available tickets. Each time I changed it, either 3 or 4 options showed up. One of the options was much less expensive and indicated that it was near the front of the endzone. It is not abnormal for this location to be less expensive for a soccer game, so that seemed reasonable (and maybe even a good deal) so based on the lack of available options, I clicked on it and purchased it.
Upon completing the purchase, a pop-up showed a note along of the lines of "invite your friends, nearby seats available" and showed several tickets with less expensive price tags in the same section. That got me to question whether there was truly a shortage of tickets available as the initial app screen had indicated. I went back to the screen and all of a sudden there are hundreds of available tickets showing up, cheaper than the ones I purchased, but with no indication of an actual seat. I had seen this type of thing on seatgeek and other sites before and I know that it normally means general admission. I went to check the venue and team's website and sure enough, the seats that were indicated to be reserved seats on seatgeek's app were actually just in the general admission supporters section.
I was furious for two reasons, the first being that the app did not show the available, less expensive tickets in the first place and second that they showed these tickets as implied reserved seating with no indication of them being general admission. I spent over an hour with a bot going around and around and basically having it agree that it was general admission while also blaming the venue for providing them with the information on the site. I know that is not true because quite literally ALL of the other tickets listed as available in this and the adjacent sections (that showed up magically after I purchased the more expensive tickets) were shown with no specific seat or row on the website and no score, indicating a general admission ticket.
So I know that they had the information available and I frankly don't believe it is my problem whether the seller or the venue provided the bogus information. As a broker, it is on them to enforce the rules in both directions (both to the buyer and the seller). The tickets were not labeled as general admission and in fact were shown as a specific location on the seat geek interface. Both of these are misrepresentations of the product that I believed I was purchasing.

My experience was very pleasant, the tickets came quickly the following night in time for the event, and the tickets worked fine. They were not fakes or copies. I was worried that they would be bogus because they had the original purchaser's name on it and I thought that seemed fishy but it was ok. The only complaint I had was with the processing fees -- almost as much as the cost of the ticket! Compare $40 with $30 extra fees. Disappointing, but I guess that's just what happens when you miss the original ticket sale!

I really love the price rating system. It's makes finding good tickets really simple. I don't like the fact that the prices with fees if off by default. I think most people would want that on. Also it can be a little challenging getting tickets because you never really know how they'll be delivered but I guess you'd get that with any second hand system.

Was looking for tickets for a game, and was able to find and purchase them quickly. I had an issue with the website. When I was looking at all of the tickets available the stadium's seating chart was not loading. Usually you can see where the tickets are located within the stadium and click a section to filter tickets, which makes shopping much easier. I had to pull up a seating chart online, so it wasn't a huge issue.
