I have also seen similar complaints from other buyers regarding misleading ticket listings and difficulty resolving disputes, which suggests this is not an isolated issue. Buyers should be extremely cautious when purchasing tickets labeled as “VIP” or “Package” without a clearly defined section and row. I would strongly recommend purchasing tickets directly from official ticketing platforms whenever possible. This matter is currently being escalated through formal consumer protection channels. Very frustrating experience and disappointing customer support.

I purchased tickets through SeatGeek in October 2025 for an event scheduled in April 2026. These tickets were intended for hosting clients of the company I work for. Unfortunately, in January, our client informed us they would no longer be able to attend. As per our company policy, unused tickets must be refunded and the cost must be returned to the company.
I reached out to SeatGeek in January and have contacted them dozens of times since, but have received no solution. SeatGeek refuses to provide the tickets until the day before the event and will not issue a refund. Not providing tickets until the day before the event leaves us no time to resell them and recoup our costs. Their refusal to offer a refund for a purchase under these circumstances is unacceptable and irreprehensible. SeatGeek has an entire platform and could easily resell these tickets within a week, especially since this is a sold-out event. BEWARE—never use SeatGeek. This company should be shut down immediately.

My issue with SeatGeek was not just the ticket problem itself, it was how dismissively the company handled clear evidence afterward. I purchased 4 tickets for the Florida Gators vs. Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball game on February 14, 2026 and spent about $1,000. The seats had a severe sightline obstruction caused by a handrail system, and there was no disclosure of that issue at the time of purchase. I documented the problem with multiple photos and video taken directly from our seated position, and I am uploading some of those photos with this review. The obstruction is obvious. Despite that, SeatGeek dismissed the evidence and relied on the explanation that because the venue did not label the seats as “obstructed view,” SeatGeek would not treat them that way either.
The most frustrating part was the lack of real customer service. I asked for a supervisor call, was told one would be scheduled, and no call ever happened. I had to keep following up just to get responses. Even then, there was no meaningful conversation and no thoughtful effort to address the actual issue shown in the photos and video. SeatGeek also seemed to assume I was only asking for a refund, when my broader concern was the lack of disclosure and the poor handling of a legitimate complaint supported by clear evidence. A single phone call and a more thoughtful response would have gone a long way. Instead, the experience felt delayed, scripted, dismissive, and impersonal. Based on this experience, I will not use SeatGeek again, and I would caution others not to expect meaningful customer service if a problem comes up after purchase.

Buyer beware! Seat Geek is a middleman and DOES NOT poesses the tickets they are selling! You may end up with fradulent tickets, or buying tickets that a vendor doesn't have and you lose money, get no tickets because they do not refund. You are taking a gamble that is not worth it. Your night or vacation plans could be ruined. Read their complaints. You may buy 4 tickets, get there and one of them is fake or doesn't exist. In my case, I bought 8 tickets, but only got six because the "vendor" (i.e. the person who actually has the tickets) did not send them to me and SeatGeek will not help. DO NOT GAMBLE WITH THEM. Terrible, scam site, should be illegal to run a site this way.

Just bought tickets to Springsteen. Hit tickets I wanted then went to pay. Pay then went to view tickets wasn’t what I order.. They are tickets behind stage. Who wants back there. Refuse to cancelled. Told me to resell. So I can take a loss. Can’t even try to do that. No tickets showing.

On 1/16/26 I purchased 10 Sixers tickets for our son and some teammates, wanting to surprise a teammate who was diagnosed with cancer, he’s 14. On 2/19/26, game day, we still had not received the tickets. In the morning, 9:00 EST, I reached out to Seat Geek. Jesus, the rep, told me not to worry, the seller was working on the tickets. At 2:30 PM EST, I messaged him again telling him we were ready to drive 2.5 hours each way, and still didn’t have the tickets. We arrived in Philadelphia, sat down at a restaurant to eat, and at 5:02 PM EST, I messaged him again.
At 5:12 EST, he messaged me saying I was receiving a full refund. We rented a van, drove 5 hours (round trip) and never received our tickets. I have tried to reach Jesus and he has never again responded. I’m so disappointed that our son and his teammates, trying to lift up their sick teammate, had to deal with this. I spent $1,600 between the tickets and parking, and I have now been ignored by Seat Geek. How can any company do business like this??

Went on a last minute second honeymoon to see Chicago in Las Vegas, was delivered tickets by SeatGeek to a chore of the Chicago theater in Illinois. They admit they had had a computer glitch and ultimately after being treated terribly over 3 hours on the phone. Two days of emails back and forth they offered 50% off. If I would hop on a plane and go to Chicago and make time go backwards for the show that it happened 2 hours previously. Otherwise, they would give me a courtesy credit which I could use to a future purchase.
Now that no tickets are available to the show I wanted to go to. But they would only give me the courtesy credit if I went through several steps claiming the tickets that I didn't ask for which. Again, totally crazy and unacceptable. And yes the courtesy credit was for the exact purchase price. It's not like they were trying to be nice. In fact the experience was just the opposite. So don't ruin your special night out by buying tickets through these Jokers

I purchased tickets specifically for an aisle seat. They were considerable more expensive. There were no seat numbers listed at checkout. When I received the tickets they were in the center even though the map showed them on an aisle. Customer service was horrible and just kept saying there was nothing they could do.

I purchased 3 seats to a Baltimore Ravens game and one of the seats did not exist! I’ve been trying for over a month to get my money back and no one will get back to me. My husband had to stand for the entire game. We were asked 7 times to show our tickets missing important plays in the game! It was an awful experience!

Had to use Seat geek for BTS tickets and waited forever in the queue for them to say there were no more tickets. Ended up buying resale for much more money than we wanted. I was scared since we heard many bad things about seat geek, they ended up being true :(. Would’ve put zero stars but I can’t post it without clicking at least one.

Confusing and unnecessarily difficult process. You have to download the app, but they still send them to your email. There’s no need to download the app, but they don’t tell you that. We ended up missing out on our parking for the World Series due to this confusing process. Then when we went to access them, at the ballpark, in line, we could not. We ended up having to pay for parking a second time. Seat Geek refused a refund for a product that we clearly didn’t use (i.e. – entry barcode was never scanned). I will never use them again for any purpose, and if they are the only choice, then I guess I’m not going.

I purchased tickets through SeatGeek for a concert originally scheduled for February, which was later rescheduled to March. According to SeatGeek’s own policies, when an event is rescheduled, customers should have the option to resell their tickets. I fully understand that refunds are not offered, but resale should be allowed. Despite this, SeatGeek has blocked my tickets from being resold. Not only am I unable to list them for resale, but I also cannot transfer them to another person. This directly contradicts the company’s stated policies.
I have contacted customer service multiple times to request the specific purchase policy they claim explains why my tickets cannot be resold. However, I have not received any documentation. Instead, I was repeatedly told to contact customer service again, creating a frustrating and circular process with no resolution. My next step will be to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). I strongly advise others to be cautious when purchasing from a platform that does not honor or clearly explain its own policies. This experience has been extremely disappointing, and I hope SeatGeek takes responsibility and provides transparency and fair treatment to its customers.

I’m disabled and bought an ADA parking pass for the National Championship game in Miami. My parking pass was confirmed 10 days before the game. On the night before the game Seat Geek could not deliver the pass. Instead of trying to get me a new pass? Which they showed were available on their site, they canceled my order! They refused to help me with a new pass because the cost the night before was $250 more than my pass. Their quarantine means nothing. Their customer service is useless. If you can help it, avoid using this site. Believe the awful reviews you see here. They deserve everyone one of them.

SeatGeek has a bad business model. Imagine! SeatGeek withheld my tickets until one day before the event. Presumably, this was to prevent fraud. How can anyone make related plans - reserving a hotel room for example - if they can't be assured they will receive the tickets in the first place? The above happened to me. SeatGeek told me through numerous emails that my tickets had been released to me. After being advised me to check my SPAM folder several times, those tickets were nowhere to be found. Many SeatGeek support personnel assured me they would look into it. They didn't.
Fearing the loss of a $250 hotel room by a SeatGeek-forced cancellation, I finally called SeatGeek. There was a literal 11th-hour resolution to the problem. However, I do appreciate the 53 additional emails from SeatGeek, sent over 30 days, in order to attempt to upsell me on other events, thanks to my new BFF, Natalie. All 53 of these emails will be deleted and blocked. I would have deleted them earlier, but I suspected my tickets could have been attached to one of them. They weren't. Once again, I cannot stress enough what a bad business model SeatGeek follows. Do yourself a solid. Look at some of the OTHER reviews on Trustpilot. Here's a two-word summation of this entire review: STAY ... AWAY!

SeatGeek is 100% a ripoff!!!!! I bought tickets to a basketball game. It ttok them nearly a month to send me an email with a link to download the tickets. When I clicked on the link it did not lead me to the tickets. I tried it several times on my phone and on my computer and I could not get the tickets. I then went on their website for help and I tried the AI chat first. It did not solve the issue. Since they do not have a customer service phone number then sent an email to their customer service. NO RESPONSE.
Over the next few days I sent two more emails to their customer service. NO RESPONSE. They stole $232.50 from me, did not send me tickets, I did not attend the event and they never replied to any my customer service correspondences. They do not care about their customers. I did not attach a receipt to this review because they did not send me one. They charged my credit card without sending me a receipt. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!

I purchased a couple tickets to a hockey game on SeatGeek. The tickets they sent me were for a college basketball game instead. A day or two later I got a sketchy looking email saying SeatGeek made a mistake with my tickets followed by a lot of complicated terms and legal sounding jargon ultimately requesting me to follow external links and fill out forms to authorize this or that to maybe get a promo code refund?... Seemed like a possible scam email, certainly not an apology or remedy to the problem they created.
Once I realized it could be real, I did reply asking for any clarity but did not get any. I spent more than three days trying to get in touch with any real person but had no luck, it's simply not possible. I've replied to the generic email they sent me multiple times saying I'd at least expect a full refund if there's nothing else they can do. I've exhausted every other option in terms of trying to contact their support. Still no refund, no further help, no contact at all. Absolutely awful customer service after they made the mistake.

I will NEVER use SeatGeek again. We purchased season tickets directly through BYU Tickets for the 2025 season. We were incredibly excited about the home game against Stanford on September 6th. However, our experience was completely ruined when we arrived at our seats. There were two people already sitting in our row. We had a party of six, and this left us with only four available seats. When we politely asked them about the issue, the individuals showed us their electronic tickets and email confirmation, which they had purchased through SeatGeek. It appears SeatGeek is responsible for a major mix-up. The email confirmation clearly stated Row 21, but the actual tickets issued were for our seats in Row 20—seats which were never put up for general sale. This caused an awkward confrontation that wasn't the fault of the other fans or ours.
The situation ruined the atmosphere we had looked forward to all off-season. We ended up leaving the game early. While LaVell Edward stadium is great and we love the Cougs, the error in inventory management by SeatGeek and the stress it caused significantly dampened our enthusiasm. We were trying to cram 6 people into 4 seats and my wife and kids were not amused, I'll be lucky to ever get them back to a football game. Furthermore, I have been emailing back and forth with SeatGeek for over 2 months to at least get some compensation for my seats that they sold without being authorized to do it, and they just act confused and it's a different person that sends me each email and they are clueless, or pretend to be. SeatGeek's ticketing process needs a serious review to prevent double-selling of reserved season ticket holder seats. And the customer service is literally the worst I have ever experienced.

I purchased tickets for Sabrina Carpenter the day of this afternoon at noon and my card was charged, but the tickets were never sent to my email. My 15 year old's wish to see the concert didn’t happen. Waste of money on Uber. I will not be purchasing again from their site. Extremely irresponsible and bad business.

By accident, I clicked on a ticket and ordered it with an outrageous price. Other sites are not even charging close to this amount or the exact same area of my seat. The concert is months away and they refuse to credit my account although they can sell my tickets to someone else. The only other option they’re giving me is offering me a promo code to purchase different concert tickets at a later date at the same price for letting me sell them the day before the concert. I will never use this site again because they aren’t even making exception for this extremely costly mistake that could’ve happened to anyone.

Use another site to purchase tickets. SeatGeek is terrible and takes your money and then acts like they have ZERO responsibly if something goes wrong. I purchased a single ticket to a NHL hockey game and the ticket transfer never happened. After countless emails and a huge time suck on my end to prove I never got the tickets, they gave me a promo code. Seems like SeatGeek has spent all their money on advertising and not on developing a solid product. There are plenty of reasons to dislike Ticketmaster but at least the system works!

Would never use SeatGeek again. Purchased tickets 5 months ago, was supposed to get them by today and did not. Tried calling but their phone number is not listed anywhere. Their website lies that the number appears on the order page 7 days before the event - the event is tomorrow but their phone number is not listed in my order. Tried contacting them through chat but all I get is a bot, it's impossible to access a chat agent. So if you have issues with ticket delivery they don't provide any venue to contact them other then a chat bot. Can't believe they are still in business.

Seatgeek has the worst platform and customer support is useless! I needed to transfer tickets to a family member and the site showed the option to either sell or transfer (misleading and fraudulent!). When I clicked on transfer, it went to a page with the header "select event," but there was no event to select. For 5 consecutive days leading up to the venue date, I attempted to communicate with a human at Seatgeek to see what the problem was, and the bot was saying someone would be in contact with me within 24 hours. No human ever responded, and I had to eat the tickets! (I also had the tickets for sale on Seatgeek off and on at a drastically reduced price, because I wasn't getting a response. Since this was a hot venue that sold out within the first few hours of initial sale, I question whether the tickets were ever showing as "for sale," because it appeared there was "no interest!")
Then when a Seatgeek agent finally decided to respond to (after it was too late to utilize the tickets and I ate them!,) it was a runaround and they used delay tactics hoping I would just go away. The ultimate, delayed decision was to deny their fraudulence and negligence in responding in a timely manner! THEY DID ZERO TO MAKE AMENDS!
