    I bought a Samsung tablet A9+ for my son and decided, since it was for him, to buy insurance for it. I ordered Allstate online. I was able to navigate through the website easily. I clicked on it and added the plan, and I picked it up at the store.

    I filed my claim online on my smartphone. I thought it was going to be hard, but after going through it, it was easy. I advised them that the tablet had a broken screen, and they sent me a return label. I printed that, got a box, stuffed it in with bubble wrap, put the label and took it to the shipping center. I didn’t have any issues with service. They replaced the screen and returned it pretty quickly.

    It’s good to have the protection because I didn’t know it was going to happen. I always buy protection, but I never use it. This was the first time, so I was glad that I had it. It’s definitely affordable. It’s not that expensive.

    I have over 15 protection plans through Walmart, so whenever I buy stuff, they always ask if I want a protection plan. I always add protection because kids mess up stuff, or anything can go wrong, especially with electronics. I also buy stuff ahead of time for gifts, or when I see a sale, so the extra protection helps if something goes wrong outside the store return window.

    I’ve had to file a claim with Allstate a couple of times this year, and it was good. Sometimes, electronic stuff I buy from Walmart from these third parties goes wrong, like batteries die down or stop running properly. My last experience with Allstate was that they tried to offer me a replacement, but it was downsizing what I got. So, I told them that wouldn't work. They ended up letting me get what I wanted.

    When I filed a claim, they answered their phone, stayed on the line, and helped me through the process. The only issue I had was that the link that they sent me to make another option wouldn't open clearly on my phone. So, it ended up pushing on the wrong link.

    Allstate has been good overall. Some smaller things I haven’t returned or filed claims for because I don’t have the time or patience, like PS4 controllers or small ride-on toys. But for the bigger things that I know my kids use, I go ahead and use the protection. I’ve filed claims both electronically and verbally, and both ways work nicely. I've had to speak to a person because sometimes the manufacturer is not listed in the drop-down box, and they help me since they can see my plans because I'm registered.

    I filled a claim, they tried to resolve the issue, but the post that was send was not the correct one for the model, so they refunded my purchase price so now I can but a new one.     I filed a claim with Allstate for my 77-inch LG TV. I started doing it online but mostly I handled it over the phone after a few calls.

    I talked to four or five different people during the claim process. Everyone was nice except one woman, who gave me a hard time because I said my name and she wouldn’t give me any information until I explained what my short name was. I’d already completed the claim with someone else, so having to redo it was a bit confusing and frustrating.

    Everything was in my wife’s email because we bought the TV through Costco using her card. I picked out the TV and handled all that stuff. I had them switch it to my email. That caused a little confusion at first, but after that, the process was smooth and simple, and I was happy with it.

    I was having trouble submitting a claim for my sound bar at first. I had started pulling it out and then I stopped. When I went back to start again, I couldn’t find it.     Updated on 05/14/2025: They called me after my first complaint. After that conversation, the outcome was to have someone come out and replace the mechanism in my chair. They told me I would receive a call to confirm an appointment and I did get a text. So I called and they tell me they are doing another inspection, not a repair. Now remember I was told “I would have someone come and replace the mechanism.” So now they want to inspect again before they do anything else. At this point, I have requested a refund for both the warranties I have purchased because they do not stand behind their product. As of this post, they are still insisting on another inspection.

    Original Review: To start with setting the appointment is not easy but once set there is a video call that pictures are taken then someone comes out. Checks the item. Has to get approval from Square trade. Email comes to me telling me it has been approved then 3 days later saying it was denied. I call back and they say it was reapproved and I received a e-mail that I should get a email within 2 days when parts will be delivered. So far 4 days later I have not received anything about parts or anything else for that matter.

    I have a couple of items I bought online, including a sweeper and a Dyson straightener, for which I purchased protection plans from Allstate. When I added them to my cart, a little pop-up came up about the warranty. The items were expensive, so I wanted to make sure they were covered. I’ve filed claims before and have had good luck. They’ve taken care of it within a week or two. One item wasn’t replaced because they couldn’t find it, so they sent me cash for it. I also sent the sweeper to be checked, and they said they cleaned it out. I wasn’t really sure they did because it didn’t look like it was cleaned out or anything. I wasn’t really happy with that. Right now, it seems to be working, but it didn’t look like they did anything.

    I usually file claims online because it’s hard to find a phone number. One time, I was able to, but it took me a while to dig up a number. It’s not very easy to call. Filing a claim is easy—click this, click that—and they get back in touch right away.

    Overall, I do the warranties and have had no issue getting help for them. I’m okay with Allstate and would recommend them. For the price, I paid $25 for three years of coverage. It could be a little lower, but it’s not unreasonable.

    We purchased an Allstate protection plan for our refrigerator, and when the icemaker quit working, filing the claim was actually fairly easy. We’d never done it before, but it was not difficult.

    I initially filed the claim online, and then they said I had to call them. They had me try a few things to see if I could resolve it, but when that didn’t work, I called back and told them it did not fix it. They told me to contact somebody who could fix it, and as long as the repair was less than the purchase price, they would pay for it.     I purchased Allstate for all the electronics in my house, and the last thing I wanted to use it for was a LG TV. I put in the claim on Sunday, and the only thing I didn’t like is I did not get a response from the claim until four days later. That was ridiculous.

    When I talked to the person over the phone, they told me that I had to start over. I told them I was not going to do that and I needed to speak to a supervisor. She then came back and assisted me, suggesting that I turn off my TV. But, I already had it unplugged for the whole week that it has been off. And then, I plugged it back in and it started working. I was given the option of a credit of my purchase price to a Walmart e-gift card or replacement with a comparable item. I chose replacement. I was given 3 options and unfortunately none of them met the same specifications of the model I was trying to replace, so I was given the e-gift card option again.     I have never had such a hard time filing a claim. No follow up and was given the run around for days on end. All correspondence was via email and it felt like an automated experience. So dissatisfied and would never recommend Allstate ever again. The level of professionalism was less than excellent. The only response I would get is that I would hear something within 1 business day and than another. Was less than satisfied and felt like I was a bother to them. Famous Tate was the only shining star. Famous Tate was the only reason my issue was resolved.

    Allstate's website sucks. Their app sucks. I can't file a claim. They're requesting that I have the serial number to a device that I can't even power on so I can file a claim and that's ridiculous. So, I'm not satisfied with the service that I'm paying for to have covered on my device. I'm stuck with a protection plan that I can't even file a claim on. I've submitted all the receipts and everything and that's not good enough. I still have no resolution for the claim that I'm still trying to file, even though they have taken the information that I was required to submit and I submitted it successfully and they still can't do anything. So, I'm not pleased and I'm not satisfied with the service that I've gotten or the coverage that I have.

    Dishwasher was purchased in March, 2024. In Nov 2024 it was repaired under manufacturer warranty. Drain was the replaced. In April 2025, dishwasher had same issue. No longer under manufacturer warranty but under extended warranty as it was one year and one month old. I reported it and requested repairman. Woman I talked to was able to clear drain remotely, but because of smell from drain I requested drain be replaced. Part was sent to me. Your repairman came one week ago today, took all the screws out but could not remove dishwasher. He said he would get someone to help him. Then I was sent email saying I had to get it out myself. He also took replacement part with him. I have made multiple calls to you and have been sent same email refusing to help me. Meanwhile, my dishwasher is unusable and parts were left on my kitchen counter. I purchased extended warranty when I bought this dishwasher and it is your responsibility to repair or replace it. At this point, repairing is probably not an option.

    Updated on 5/7/2025: I filed a complaint about the service I was receiving for both my dryer and wall oven repair last week. I received a call and was told my complaints were being investigated and I am to receive $195 to reimburse the cost of the protection plan for my troubles. The invoice for moving my dryer unnecessarily was $150. The dryer was successfully serviced this week. But I am still trying to get a technician to repair my wall oven. A second appointment was scheduled for tomorrow with a technician who understood the wall oven has to be removed from the wall. I was advised by Allstate/Square Space to check with him to be sure he could do it. I immediately tried to make that call yesterday after being advised to do so and got a recording saying to leave my name - and then a message that the mailbox was full.

    It took several calls today to get through and to have the technician tell me he can't do it. When I said my husband could help remove the oven he said that would not work and at any rate he was not going to be in Baltimore tomorrow (this is after I have received confirmation of the appointment and organized our schedules to be here). So - if I had paid someone to take the oven out of the wall to be ready for him tomorrow he would not have shown up and I would have an oven sitting in the middle of my kitchen for days until he could come. He said he was calling Allstate to advise of this and to have them re-assign someone to the case.

    I called Allstate (again) and the customer service person on the phone ended up telling me he can't schedule anything now - all he can do is expedite my complaint and turn it over to another team to schedule the appointment. So after many calls over 2 weeks I don't even have an appointment at this point. The customer service person who called yesterday had assured me that my case had reached the highest level and she was sure things would be sorted out. Also she sent an email and said if I reply to that email she would take care of any further issues right away. I wrote her shortly after she and I spoke yesterday to let her know I was having trouble getting in touch with the company that was to repair the oven and have heard nothing back more than 24 hours later.

    Original review: I remodeled a condo and purchased a new double wall oven, stove/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. For all appliances I purchesed the extended warranties - which were through Allstate. My experience with repairs has been a nightmare. The washer and dryer are stacked and in a closet. I was told I had to have them out of the closet to provide access to the back for the service person to be able to provide service. I paid two men to take the unit out the morning of the appointment, which had been confirmed the day before. I waited all day and around 3pm someone called and said I was "next" on his call list. He called again around 3:30 and said he was looking for parking. I told him numerous places he could park.

    He then admitted he was 10 minutes away and as I was talking to him he hung up. He never called back. I called Allstate and was told they were "sorry." I had to have the washer/dryer moved back (at my expense) because they were blocking my hallway. The next day I spent at least 2 hours calling both Allstate and the contracted company, Home Technology Solutions, to submit official complaints and to figure out a way forward. I was connected by text only to Home Technology. They assured me that the next person assigned would take care of taking the unit out of the closet. I then received an email that a different contractor was assigned the dryer. I contacted that company and they had no idea the unit was in a closet and said they cannot take it out.

    A different company (also contracted by Allstate) is supposed to fix my wall oven, which has had problems since purchase. During the original warranty an Allstate technician came out and said it "was fine" and did very little to try to diagnose the problem. Since then I had an electrician look at it to confirm that it was not an electrical issue and to also document that the temperature fluctuates in the oven. I am now trying to get it repaired. A technician came out for the oven and a small problem with my refrigerator. He said a part was needed for the oven and that when he came back to fix it the oven would have to come out of the wall. He said they "could do it" but would prefer me too. I indicated I couldn't.

    When the appointment for the next visit was sent, I called to confirm it. I am now told they don't have the manpower to take the oven out of the wall and suggested I call Allstate and explain to them what is happening. I have tried and tried to get through and it is virtually impossible. I think Allstate and their contractors are just trying to exhaust customers so that ultimately they hire private technicians to fix their appliances.

    Got protection for a fishing rod purchased at Walmart. The rod broke after a year and half while fishing, obviously a manufacturing defect (weak spot under eyelet). Allstate refused to honor the coverage stating "the damage is not covered under your plan". So it's basically a scam where you pay them and then they say that whatever damage you have is not covered.

    I am having a HORRIBLE experience with All State square trade protection plan purchased on a Home Depot appliance. The red tape to talk to anyone takes forever, they keep sending the wrong parts or wrong model number for my dishwasher repair.     Bought the chair for $569.99 and the warranty for 69.99 total cost with tax $681.58. Made a claim to Allstate twice. 1st was denied because as they said I didn't bought enough warranty (The one I got covered from $300 to $799.99. I spent a staggering seven hours on the phone – from 9 am to 4 pm – trying to get a resolution for my nine-year-old son's Meta Oculus Quest 2. After what felt like an eternity, I was finally told that a refund would be issued. Relief washed over me, thinking the ordeal was over. However, that relief was short-lived. I was then transferred to yet another representative, who informed me that instead of a straightforward refund, I would now have to wait an additional 6 to 10 business days.

    They did cover our claim but be aware of the fine print. 2-3 days applies more to ordering the replacement parts and not having it usable again. The first parts took about a week to arrive and then they were completely wrong parts. When the correct parts arrived 2 weeks later our dishwasher was not fixable. It was at this time that we found out that they don’t replace your actual product, they refund what you spent on your product.

    We bought our dishwasher on sale and had a sign up bonus for a credit card. They sent us a gift card for the discounted price. I understand not reimbursing the sale price but the credit card promotional discount seems shady to me. They are not overly helpful on the phone and I was told different things by different people. Some thought I would get the full reimbursement and others didn’t. The customer service is seriously lacking and communication is poor. I am not sure I will use them again. There was no consideration of the time it took to get to this point or the miscommunications.

    Bought a protection plan from Home Depot who use Allstate Square Trade. For my microwave purchase. 2 yrs later microwave stopped working and notified square trade.     This was an incredibly horrible experience. I had a faulty hard drive, within the replacement period, and was looking to have it replaced under the warranty. They provided a myriad of different reasons they couldn't give the replacement, ranging from "a similar device is not available" to "it's not within your coverage limit". There is no coverage limit on the warranty I had. They were just choosing the lowest value possible for the claim. When I pointed this out, they shared the "terms" they were following which did not match the terms & conditions I initially received. Overall it took an online claim and 3 phone calls to complete the warranty process, only to get a dollar amount which does not cover the replacement. I do not recommend anyone get this warranty.

All the rest of transaction done through very easy, filling out claim form, provide pictures which uploaded via claim form.     We turned my son’s TV on, and we could hear it, but we couldn't see anything. It's hanging on a wall in a bracket. Not one of those brackets that are easy to take off. So it's not like it fell. Allstate had us do a video and show that there were no cracks on it.

    And then they said, normally, they'll get a repair person to come out here. But because it wasn't a very expensive TV, they decided to replace it after a couple videos, pictures and anything that they asked for. We had the replacement within three days, even if he said it would take two weeks.

    I'm glad that I have Allstate Protection especially for anything over $200 plus. I don't even think this TV was that much but the protection plan was affordable. The agent that I worked with who finished all this up for me was fantastic.

    It took about two calls to get a resolution when I submitted a claim for my television. It just powered off and wouldn’t turn on. It was hooked up to a circuit breaker and I don’t know why it zapped out and wouldn’t turn back on.

    I had to call Allstate once and submit a bunch of paperwork and pictures, but I didn’t hear anything back. So I had to call again and start the process over. The second time, it all went through.

    I had ordered a phone from HSN that got put in the wash with the sheets. I called HSN because I couldn’t turn it on or do anything, and they said to file with Allstate. They gave me the order number and other details. Online, where I filed for stuff, it seemed user-friendly.

    I called Allstate to find out about them replacing it. Later, I got an email that said they are working to source a replacement and that it would take two to three business days once they found it. I may reach out to them now because it’s been more than two weeks and nobody's gotten back with me. I don't have anything, so that’s not very good.

    It was actually really easy to submit the claim to Allstate Protection Plan. They don’t have the item in stock, so they’re going to give me a check or a gift card, and I prefer the check, and they said they’re going to reimburse my money in two days.

    However, I did have to search for information through the internet and the website because nobody called me back. Nobody asked me anything, and I have to send an email every time. The item isn't working anymore. The same thing happened with one I bought last year, and now this second one I bought with my insurance doesn't work either. I don't know why or what happened.     The pricing for the Allstate Protection Plan was actually pretty good, so I got it when it was offered to me for a printer I bought. Eventually, the printer had some type of issue where it wasn’t connecting to the Wi-Fi. Epson told me it was already out of the manufacturer’s warranty, so that’s when I contacted the insurance.

    At first, they offered for me to take it to a service and pay out of pocket, but the representative was able to speak to a supervisor and they were supposed to send out a check instead. However, I never received the check, so I had to contact them again to let them know. They’re supposed to be looking into sending out another one now, but I still haven't received it.

I had a very mixed experience since the person I filed the claim with filed the claim under the wrong appliance. So that screwed everything up. I didn't get the service date and I had to cancel and reschedule, so my oven was out of commission for a longer time. The part also wasn't ordered. And when the part was ordered, they sent the wrong part. It was not a great experience.

    We weren't able to use the Allstate warranty for the TV because we still have the manufacturer's warranty. Also, the closest place was three to four hours away.     The plan is pretty easy to use but you need to be aware that the plan you purchase is only worth the product price and does not include the taxes. So if the item is $200 before taxes your replacement cannot exceed $200 to include taxes and shipping fees. It also made me trying to find a comparable replacement difficult. However, since the replacements choices didn't have the same specifications I was able to get an e-gift card. Now the only reason I got the gift card was because they were trying to replace my office chair with chairs that were half the price and I was not having that. They will not just offer you a gift card.

    It took some length of time about 4 months to finalize my claim. I have never made a claim on an appliance so I have no frame of reference.     They don't tell you that the Allstate warranty kicks in after the manufacturer warranty. It kicks in after whatever the manufacturer has which in my case is a year. So I bought the Allstate insurance FOR NOTHING. Allstate completely doesn't help and directs you to whoever is the manufacturer, so what's the point in buying it??     The Allstate protection plan has created an experience that results in an outcome that is not in good faith. The executed warranty plan now offers "comparable features only". Yet, their contract states to replace my product with comparable features AND functionality to the original item. They are offering to replace a bad "outdoor" TV with indoor tv models (as comparable features only). They have outdoor replacement models available but somehow that's an 'upgrade function'? Even though that's what I purchased and paid a warranty for (in good faith)!!

    West Elm uses a third party company for their protection plans. The company they use is Allstate Protection Plan/SquareTrade. I purchased a piece of furniture on April 9th. Paid $2081 that included $209 for the Extended Warranty. I called to cancel the order on April 10th, West Elm said they will refund and cancel the shipment, but I would have to call Allstate to cancel the warranty before they can refund me. Odd, but ok.

    Over a week later of daily calls, and emails and Allstate saying "they cannot find my plan" I realized I was getting the script talk and refused to deal with these people anymore. The sofa was never delivered, a plan was never found, and I'm out $2081.... Not Today,!!! I canceled everything with my American Express and now they can figure it out themselves.     When I first submitted a claim I asked for replacement metal post and top rails for my pool, because of rusting that occurred. They were available in a kit for just a little while on a website, however they weren’t available very long as I found out.     The first time they tried to fix my headphones under the warranty they were nice and speedy… However, the device was still the same… Broken - would not charge. The second time they “fixed” my headset they just sent it back… Yup, still broken but now dirty. They then cancelled my warranty with NO notification. I had to call and complain. After a lengthy discussion they said they could not spend more than the device was worth to fix it…. Ok. Then what? They took a while but ended up refunding me the price of the the device without tax.     This whole process has been drawn out and frustrating. It started out with me being unable to put in a claim because Allstate couldn’t find my product registration. I had to call and get the protection plan activated because for some reason I could not understand, it wasn’t activated properly. Clearly there are systemic issues between Costco and Allstate. I was then told that I’d get an email in 2-3 business days. I week later, nothing… I had to call again to find out that someone dropped the ball and hadn’t sent me the email. Another 2-3 days pass by and I get the email. I respond only to have the email returned as undeliverable. This happened several times. More days go by before I have to call again. I get on the line with a young lady who helped me troubleshoot. I had already done what she suggested to no avail. She then told me that she would have parts mailed to me. This was two weeks ago.

    After more email back and forth I set up a day for the tech to visit. Nothing was available that week so I had to set it up for this week. I was told that a tech would reach out to me with a window of time. By now it’s been three weeks and I’m over this. A tech did call and we spoke about the visit, questioning me about why the appointment was set so far off. I told him that’s what the rep told me was available. He actually said he could see me later in the week. The only problem was the parts. I just now, today, got the parts (April 15, 2025) because FedEx needed a signature for the package. It’s almost been a month since my issue started.

    A tech is visiting this Friday. Finally… I am curious to see if he’ll be able to fix it. I truly have to say that this whole process has been way too drawn out, unnecessarily convoluted, and extremely frustrating. I felt like I had to go through too many hoops to get to where I am. It feels like I had to pull teeth to get Allstate to honor the warranty.

    I sent in my Bose player with my 8' cord attached & attached it with duct tape. It was repaired correctly by CJR and returned w no elec cord.     I bought five streaming devices last year that plug into your TV using an HDMI cable and a power cable, and then connect to your internet so you can watch TV through the box. They’re kind of like a Fire Stick, but not quite the same. They worked fine when I first got them and were set up on different TVs. After the manufacturing warranty went out, they started going out one at a time.

    They all got stuck in boot mode. When you turn them on, they stay in boot mode and just keep loading up. The first one never came out of boot mode, but I was fine at first since I had four more and a protection plan. Then the other ones started going out too until all five were stuck in boot mode. When they’re in boot mode, there’s nothing you can do to get them right. There’s no update for them.

    The only thing that gets me is that the boxes should last longer than that. I’ve got some that I’ve had since I first started dealing with them that have lasted much longer.

    Submitting a claim with Allstate is simple, but when you call in and you wanna talk to somebody, you have to get through all the prompts, and that’s the hardest thing about it. It takes a while because if you hit the wrong button, you gotta go back and start all over again. When I finally got in touch with a guy who was really good and nice, he started the claims and got all of them going. I gave him the model and serial numbers, and then he told me I would have to go back in and finish them up online. When I went back into my protection plan account, the website gave me a number to call. So I had to call that number and give them the model and serial numbers again.

    Allstate is good, and if you need to buy a protection plan, it’s worth it. I’ve had protection plans before, and this one is a whole lot better than what I’ve experienced elsewhere. I’ve purchased stuff before and had a protection plan on it, and the process I went through was so bad that I didn’t even file the claim. I just took the loss.

    But the process could be a little better if you could talk to someone at the beginning and start your claim online without having to go through so many steps. Another thing was when they asked for all my information. I went to eBay and pulled up my receipt. The receipt had all the information on it. Then I would get a message saying they needed the seller’s information. “It’s on the receipt.” That’s what comes to my mind. “Are you looking at it? It’s right there.” I even wrote “Seller’s information” on the receipt and drew an arrow to it before scanning and sending it in again.

    After sending in the receipts and information, they asked me to do more things, like whether I was looking at the devices right now or can I take pictures and send what the boxes are doing. At that point, it was starting to get frustrating. I understand needing these things, but I bought the protection plan for a reason, so if something does happen with my TV and other stuff in 90 days, I’m covered. That’s what I bought it for. It began to feel like a bit of a hassle having to keep going back and sending more information.

    It would help if you could call someone on the phone because some folks don’t know what to do, and not everybody uses computers. But once you get someone, they are good. The tier 1 person I spoke with was knowledgeable and did what he was supposed to do at his level. It’s really just the process of going through all the steps. You send in everything you’re supposed to, and then you turn around and get told that something else is needed.

    Allstate was offered when we bought items. I got it for my headphones because there's always something going bad with them, especially the brand we got. The one that we bought was the Onn one. We got those kinds of headphones before and they broke. I was like, "I'll just get a protection plan." Plus, the people said, "Yeah. If it's for a little kid, you should get a protection plan."

    I called Allstate for claim when the volume on the headphones wouldn't work. Even though we turned it off and on and charged it, we still couldn’t hear anything. I initially tried to go online and do the claim. I was asked for the model number. That faded out due to us using the headphones. I couldn’t really see it. I was also asked if I had the box for it. I didn’t keep that. I just threw it in the trash. I had to call Allstate because the website wouldn't let me go any further. It took me a while to get somebody.

    The first person I spoke with didn't really help me. I was told I was gonna have to call the Onn manufacturer or the people that make the Onn headphones. The rep gave me the number and transferred me. When I called the number, it spoke in French and it really didn't say anything. It just said to contact Allstate warranty support and then hung up on me.

    I called Allstate warranty back and I got hooked up to another guy. I told him what happened and he was very helpful. He just said, "That's not good. Okay, let's try to figure this out and get something done." It took him less than 10 minutes. He got all my information and put it in a computer. He was gonna submit the request and I should receive something in the mail to pick out headphones. We haven't received anything yet.

    Sometimes, Allstate is good. I haven't had any problems with buying it. But sometimes my husband would say, "You shouldn't have bought the warranty. You knew it would have been all right." I go, "Sometimes you say that, and then we should have bought the warranty." Overall, it's good and bad at the same time. But I buy the protection if the item is for a kid.

    I had an experience a couple of weeks ago. I bought a FlexBrew Coffee Pot from Walmart that I loved. It was great because it had the pods and I can make a pot of coffee if I wanted. I was pretty upset when it started malfunctioning, but I was glad I had the protection plan on it. I called Allstate first, and the young man told me to package it up and take it to Walmart to get it exchanged or get my money back. I did that and went to Walmart customer service. The young lady said they don't do that because it’s past the 90-day return policy. She asked her manager and then the store manager, and both of them said they don’t do it and I had to call Hamilton Beach.

    I came home all irritated and called Hamilton Beach. After I gave all the information to the young lady there, I never heard anything back. I called a week later, and she said they’ll take care of it. I went through four people saying the same thing, and nothing happened. At first, I thought Allstate was to blame and thought the insurance things don't really work, but the struggle was with Hamilton Beach.

    Allstate finally stepped up to the plate and sent me a $79 gift card for Walmart to get another coffee pot. I talked to a very helpful young man who explained to me that their plan picks up after the one-year warranty with Hamilton Beach. I told him I just went round and round with them and nothing happened. He said he’ll just override everything and pay me back. He sent me the mailing form for FedEx so I could return the coffee pot. I brought it to FedEx and dropped it off. The next day or evening, I got the gift card. I’m not mad at Allstate anymore, and I have a different opinion of them now.

    I ordered a vacuum cleaner on Walmart’s website and it gave an option underneath the purchasing icon that for so much money, I could add a year or two of coverage.     When I filed a claim, they replaced the vacuum with another one. I could pick from two different styles of vacuums. One was a different name brand, but it looked similar. For the one I got, I could tell the parts and the quality didn't feel quite as good. But I was just grateful for a replacement. Also, looking at the price, the vacuum that I bought was on sale. If they were looking at matching the price I paid, then it probably was somewhat comparable.

    I bought a Lift Chair on eBay with an attached offer for a protection plan from SquareTrade. Along with my chair, the protection plan was purchased. My chair broke and I filed a claim with square trade for a repair. I provided the receipt, the purchase date and the warranty information. However the response I received was, "I'm sorry but we sold you the wrong warranty for your chair". My response was aaand! And he said that they cannot honor that warranty and he will refund, by check, my warranty payment. I asked, what about my broken chair and he said my claim is denied and nothing else will be done. I should hope no one else have to go through this or have gone through this. This is simply UNFAIR PRACTICE!!! I had to buy a new Lift Chair and no warranty was offered this time.     My claim was for my Whirlpool washer. I did a load of laundry, and it wouldn't shut off. The lights were all off, but you could hear a drain pump running.

    The repair guy who came out said it’s pretty common with these, and I will need a new board to fix it, which will cost over $600, more than I paid for the washing machine. I had to pay the technician $100 and some out of my own pocket for them to tell me that my washing machine was junk. I didn't buy another one of them.

    About the customer service, the only thing that I didn't like is there was a lot of texting. I have a flip phone, so that was a pain in the ass to do. I prefer to do it either in a person-to-person conversation or on the computer, where I was able to do some chat, which wasn't bad.

    I'm getting paid for the reimbursement for my washer. They said I would get paid for my diagnostics, but it doesn’t look like it. At least they gave me something. I was dubious when I first started working with this, thinking this is gonna be one of these things I'm gonna have to haggle with.

    I tried to figure it out the first few times when I made the claim for my cellphone, and it wasn't too good. I talked to somebody in chat and they said it was with Allstate, but I'm not sure that it was. He was very short and difficult to talk to. But this last guy that I talked to on the phone actually called in and waited. He knew exactly what he was talking about and what he was doing. It was very quick, easy, and very painless.

    I didn't have my receipt and a lot of things I needed to have. Thankfully, I did register. The product was with them and I had sent a picture of my receipt to them. That was very helpful. I love that feature about it. They tell you to register the receipt so that it's on file with them. In case you lose it, it's right there. You don't have to worry about it. That was perfect. That was awesome, because I, of course, lost the receipt.

    I end up breaking my phone often, so I was surprised when my phone lasted about a year. I got two two-year plans for my phone and my screen is unusable now. Having the warranty helps a lot because now they're gonna reimburse me for the full amount that I paid for it as long as I send in the phone. I'll be able to get a new phone.     The television wouldn't turn on. We went to turn it on as usual, and we could hear it click, but the screen was just black. It did have a manufacturer warranty on it, so they were able to see what items were available, and they reshipped us another television. There was only one other option that fit what I had, so we had to go with that option. I did want another Roku TV, but it works. It's still a 70-inch and it's a nice TV, so we're satisfied.

    Submitting the claim was simple and efficient. They tried to troubleshoot at first, and when that wasn't working, they just went over what my warranty was. They had us send pictures and videos of the item, and that was it. It was fast. The TV arrived faster than expected too. We were not home, and the driver called. I'm glad they called and they did not just leave it. I had a family member come over, and they were able to let them in and leave the item for us. The only thing I didn't like is that I couldn't get a warranty on this TV.

    I've filed two claims with Allstate for my Walmart items. Both times, they took care of the issue immediately and I appreciated that. I got the policy for my electronics because Walmart has a really screwed-up return policy. Sometimes it only has a warranty for one year or three months. I plan on having these items longer than that, so I always protect my purchases. I did everything through the online app and it was wonderful. They're very fast and efficient.

When I first tried to do claims, they kept telling me that because my product was less than a year, I had to deal with the manufacturer. That’s where the problems were. But when I called back, Allstate just ended up processing it as they saw that I was getting the runaround.

    The television was an important purchase, and it just recently happened. We needed the protection plan that we paid for. We thought it was gonna help but it didn't. We canceled it out because it didn't cover the television, so there was no need. The manufacturer would not cover the item, and they said to see if our additional protection plan would cover it, but that did not happen. That one was extremely disappointing.

    Getting the protection plan and then not being able to use it was much of a waste to me in time and money. The process went fine though. It didn't take away from using the protection plan. It's just that that particular item wasn't covered. I've used the protection plan many times on different items, and and I didn't have any issue with it.

    A lot of times you deal with insurance company and they give you the runaround. You gotta have pictures and all this other foolishness. But Allstate was not like that. I got the protection plan for an electric lawn mower, and they handled everything so quickly. I was able to do everything online. As soon as I submitted it, they sent something back and said, "Well, look, you keep it. It's not worth sending it back to us for repair. And this is what we're gonna pay you. We'll send you a confirmation," and they did. I'm just waiting for the check now. They were very efficient. It was great. It was painless.

    I originally gave a bad review, but have since changed my mind. I had three repairmen from two different companies in a month for the same issue and still had the problem. I was frustrated with the repairman. Allstate came through and replaced my washer. Once that decision was made it was taken care of in a week. I am happy with the results.

    I got the Allstate plan for an LG washer and it was not spinning properly. I initially filed the claim online, and then I called them. First, they mailed a set of shocks and a new control panel and then sent a repairman. I believed the issue was the control panel, but the guy just changed the shocks and left. He said it would take too long to do the rest and he didn't think that was the problem.

    I still had the same issue, so I called again and they sent out another repairman who wanted to change the same parts that the first guy changed. I told him the first guy already changed them and I'm still having the same problem, so he said he ordered the same parts that the first guy changed. I don't have much faith that it's going to be repaired correctly. I kept telling him, but he said I was wrong.

    The second guy was actually from LG, but he was no better than the first. He didn't do anything. He didn't take the machine apart or even look at it. At this point, I wouldn't buy the protection plan. This was my first experience using it and I'm not real happy.

    I also wish that everybody didn't outsource their customer service to foreign countries because I have trouble sometimes understanding what they're saying.

    I had Allstate protection plan that I used when my unit went bad. I bought a new dehumidifier so I purchased a plan for that as well. So far, it hasn't gone too smoothly. I'm trying to get things straightened out. On their website, you have to use the chat thing. With their chatbot, you sit and wait. It took 30 minutes to get somebody today. I sat there and explained everything to them. They gave me the same answer that the person gave me two days ago, "No. We only charged you once." I said, "No. The credit card is confirmed. I just got off the phone with them. I got billed twice. I'm just trying to get you to take the one off."

    The first person told me, "Well, you can call your credit card company and dispute the charge." The person today told me, "No. You haven't been charged twice." I was not lying and they finally said they were gonna send me an email and I would need to send them proof that I had been billed twice. I took a picture of the credit card as it is right now because the statement hadn't closed. The picture would show them where it's right there, one on top of the other, both of them are billed on the same day and with the same price. I sent it, but I haven't heard anything back yet.

    Allstate is a good product and I enjoy the coverage of the plan. I like how it worked on the one unit when it went bad. That's why I purchased another one. But it's a little bit frustrating what I'm going through right now to try and give Allstate more business but I can't get ahold of somebody. I gotta use the chat thing and it doesn't go well. I'm having to jump through hoops to prove to Allstate that I'm not lying and that I got billed twice no matter what their system says.

    Allstate has gotta do a better job of being available if a problem comes up. I noticed that both times when I tried to contact somebody on that chatbot, I couldn't even pronounce the names. They must be using people in another country. I tried to spell things out in really simple and plain form. But there was something going on where they just didn't grasp what I was telling them.

    I ended up calling the credit card company to put in a dispute since Allstate kept telling me, "There's nothing we can do for you. It's not billed twice." I'm hoping someone will have enough sense to look at that email and say, "Wait a minute. There it is. There's two of them right there." I don't why Allstate’s system doesn't show it, but it is there. I just want them to do the right thing and refund the money that I overpaid.

    Please People Be Very Very Careful with this Guarantee thing, especially with these insurance companies like in my case Allstate Protection Plans since they are only looking for easy money but they are not interested in enforcing the guarantees for which we pay hoping that if something happens it will be resolved for us and this Allstate company does not want to help me with my claim for an ice maker in my Samsung refrigerator that does not work and they indicated that I should unplug my refrigerator and plug it back in in 24 hours because they are not going to send any technician since they are quite expensive for them.

    Allstate Protection was recommended by another photographer. I have a Sigma 18-50 millimeter lens that I filed a claim for recently. I was doing a photoshoot for a younger child. And I was getting in close and she bumped on the lens. The damage was not too bad. It's on the front of the lens, where there's a little strip. It just has a crinkle on it but it affects the picture.

    The two chairs we bought from Menards came with chargers on the handle. One was in a box and one was a floor model. I recall sitting in the floor model and putting my phone there to see if everything worked with the charger and releasing the handle to lounge. Unfortunately, the one in the box is the one that is a problem.

    I told Allstate what happened and got this long-written note saying we should contact the manufacturer. I said, “Listen. We are senior citizens. I bought a protection plan.” I told them to do something or refund my money for the plan because I’m not happy at all.

    I dealt with Allstate to repair my phone and they didn't do anything. At first, I was very frustrated with them. I started the claim and then I cancelled it. But I ended up talking to them again, so I resubmitted the claim. They were perfect that way and helpful with the three different people I dealt with.

    But then the shop we went to didn't fix the phone correctly. So I reached out with Allstate again and they were awesome. This one guy did everything and we were allowed to go to another repair service person who used original parts. So we told Allstate to put this guy on the list because he's honest and uses original parts.

    Essentially, my AirPods ended up having static at a point then fuzzy and not working. The audio started lessening. On my warranty, it said that they would replace any damage to my AirPods as long as it wasn't lost, so I filed a claim.     I was given incorrect information from the time I started the claim. No one seem to know what they were doing. Ended up having to go back to Samsung to get to use the warranty.     When I buy my kids’ items from Walmart, I usually go through Allstate for the protection plan. Filing a claim is easy and simple. I do it online and they get back to me pretty quickly.

    My earphones broke. I'm talking by Bluetooth, and it stops and goes to the phone again. When I filed the claim with Allstate, the guys that I talk to were really nice. They sent me a sticker to put in the box so I don’t have to pay for anything. When I was sending the unit, I did something wrong. I put the charger and everything inside the original box but I forgot to put the earphones.

    I called the same day I sent it and told them about it. And they told me that they will wait until they receive it. Once they receive it, they will send me an email. I called the claims phone number and they told me they made a letter. They did it very well. However, they’re taking too long to send it back. They were going to repair it. They have it for at least 15 days. I’m talking to different people in this process. It’s never the same person who answers the phone and I would have to retell the whole story.

    The people that answer this phone are really nice. And they try to do everything. But the system is too slow. The people at the earphones repair don't understand very well. They take too long to find out if they sent it, even the supervisor did not do anything different.

    My Samsung TV went out and I knew I had a warranty. I got it at the store. But it's been going on since February 18th. I'm waiting on a refund. It's a lengthy process. It's totally unacceptable how long I've been waiting to get some feedback on my TV. They want me to pay the monthly payment every month with the warranty. It should be vice versa.     I filed a claim with Allstate for the five-burner gas grill that I bought through Walmart. The grill was two years old and the quality was not what I expected. I don't know how their warranties work, but they apparently don't really do repairs. I was expecting to get some replacement parts, but they just fully refunded the price. They do not refund taxes or the price that you paid for the plan, just the basic price for the grill was refunded.

    My son liked one that they gave us the option for, but they ended up not being able to get it in. They just gave us a gift card for it, and it was for the same amount. We did purchase the replacement.

    The claim was incredibly easy, although I had difficulty when I was filing it the first time. I had clicked another button when I didn’t mean to, which sent the claim backwards, saying it wasn’t covered.

    I ended up calling in, and we spoke to somebody and got it figured out over the phone. It is a manufacturer’s issue, and she agreed a hundred percent. She went through and said it’s not a big deal and that they’ll get it fixed out.

    My flat screen went black and Allstate sent me another one. That also went black, so they sent me a third one. The process took about two and a half weeks, but it was okay and I didn't have a problem submitting the claim.

    We did have a little hiccup and that was the Indian guy sending the label and not explaining that their name was going to be on the label. The labeling held it up. The Indian guy sent the label and it had my information, but his name. So I had to call back a couple of times to figure out what happened until somebody it explained to me. They could work on how they do the labeling and just explain it better. It might be a language barrier.

    I've submitted my claim, which I started in fall of 2024. Completed the repairs in December of 2024 and submitted the paperwork required for reimbursement. I've called 3 times and I'm still waiting to get my money. When I called on 3/29/25 the representative opened a special priority ticket and said I would get called in 24 hours. It has been 48 hours and no call.

    I will never purchase an appliance warranty from Allstate Protection Plans ever again. I have been waiting for my Home Depot gift card for 2 weeks amid multiple phone calls. And that's another thing, they won't send me a check for the amount, they will only send me a gift card. At this point I want to buy from a different retailer. One with a much better protection plan.

    I purchased a warranty for a water heater at Home Depot. It clearly states in the warranty that they will replace the item, and pay for the installation of a new unit. My tank was replaced, but after submitting an invoice for the installation, they wanted to give me a gift card to Home Depot for over $600. I was approved by a supervisor to receive the reimbursement by check, (since I paid it) and put that in writing as directed by the supervisor. I was told to sign the affidavit they would send me after that, but he had put it in the system also to allow the check reimbursement. They sent an E-gift card anyway, and now say that they cannot change the payment. (Odd how the card cannot be voided - they must not have that kind of technology). Now, I will have to use it ONLY at HD and I’m out over $600 cash. I will never buy from HD or Squaretrade/Allstate ever again.

    I have several Allstate-SquareTrade plans for items I bought on eBay,. Recently I started a claim for a stereo receiver. It's about a 1-1/2 year ago purchase-They had me send it in to see if could be repaired, via their label. They could not fix it, said they do not return items that cannot be repaired and issued me a check-mailed it to me, got it today (: for the amount I originally paid for the stereo receiver. Not bad!

    I bought an Allstate/SquareTrade protection plan for my electronics, thinking it would give me peace of mind, but it turned out to be a complete nightmare. The claims process is beyond frustrating. When you call, they tell you to file the claim online. But when you try filing online, they say you need to call. If you call again, they suggest using live chat, and when you try the chat, they send you back to the phone line. It feels like they are trying to make you give up!

    Even if you manage to start a claim, they do not make it easy. Instead of offering a refund, they ask you to ship the device for repairs—meaning you have to pack it up, pay for shipping, and wait around. Then, you are expected to upload the repair receipt, and only if it is approved will you get reimbursed. It is a massive waste of time and effort. I finally canceled the plan, and to make matters worse, they only gave me a prorated refund instead of a full one. I would never recommend this protection plan to anyone. If you are considering it, save yourself the headache and stay far away!

    I purchased the protection plan for my Vizio TV, which conked out in less than two years. When it came time to choose my “replacement” TV, I was offered only three options, none of which came to a Vizio. When I called customer service, they said that they change out of the possibilities every 24-48 hours, which is true. However, the possibilities were limited to just three TVs, again nothing similar to a Vizio. They gave me no other choices so I had to select one. Then, not to be able to purchase an extended warranty tells me that the TVs were not of great value or quality. Very disappointed and would not recommend purchasing their warranty for any item.

    We purchased an extended warranty for a GE stove from Home Depot. For the second time, we had a gas leak with the stove. The first one happened within the first year, so it was covered by GE. They were here the next day and very professional. A year and a half later, we contacted the warranty company because we smelled gas. There was another gas leak with the stove. This was on a Saturday, and it was not until the next Wednesday that a technician came to check out the leak. They seem very confused as to what was going on. They said in one or two business days they would let us know, one way, or the other, whether to replace or repair the stove.

    Six days later., We got an email stating that the problem was not with the stove. It was the gas line. It was not under warranty. Problem is, you never get anyone who speaks English. Everyone is there reading a script. They promise you that they put you at the front of the line. You’re wasting your money if you choose Home Depot‘s warranty. No more big purchases with Home Depot. Go with someone reputable who will service what they sell.

    My momma always tells me to get a warranty, and I'm used to getting insurance and warranties on things. The original price of Allstate is definitely worth it. I purchased a protection plan for a ceiling fan. It works fine but the remote stopped working. I can hit the switch on the wall, and the light comes on, but I need the remote to work in order for the fan to come on and for it to change the colored lights.

    I had to make sure that I had purchased the warranty for it. I looked into Wayfair and found out I did. I looked through my emails and found the email from Allstate. It matched the order number and the item number, then I started the claim online. Their website is easy to use, then it was a back-and-forth email, like if they told me my pictures weren't clear enough. I had to keep going back in and checking my email and the update status of the claim.

    They gave me a gift card to refund my entire item, which is unfortunate. I just needed the remote to work. The fan is perfect and the light works. I'm gonna have to get an electrician to buy a new ceiling fan and to change that. It’s also got LED lights and my daughter loves this light, that's why I can't change it. But now she can't see the lights.

    Allstate’s price for the protection plans is good and submitting a claim on the website was easy. I didn’t have a problem getting my microwave warranty, but with the monitor, I'm having a lot of difficulty. Allstate said I needed a receipt for the monitor. I told the rep I could not find the receipt, but I received the email stating that the receipt was found and attached to my account. There are two solutions I can pick to resolve this, but every time I go to pick a solution, it tells me to send in a picture of the receipt. I'm going around in circles and couldn't go any further.

    I talked to somebody on the phone and he kept saying the same thing. I was like, "I don't have the receipt, but you have my account. It shouldn't be a problem." I even called Walmart to see if they could send me a receipt, but couldn't do it that way either. Allstate was doing their best to help, though. I had the same issue previously and they said they were just gonna start the request from when I contacted them about two weeks ago because my warranty isn't up until September or October of this year.

    When you go to Walmart, buy the Allstate Warranty. It's worth whatever little bit of money you spend on it. I buy the protection plan for anything I buy from Walmart. I bought two electric blankets and when you turn the blankets on, they're so hot even when they're on low that you can't even get under them.

    First, I went to Walmart and they said they wouldn't do anything because it was still under the warranty of the people that made those. I proceeded to call the number that I had for them and it was an out-of-country call. I guess they were made in Japan. Then we got busy with some surgery that had to be done, and I didn't get to call back until after the first of the year.

    When I called back, I called Allstate and explained the problem to them, and they took excellent care of me. They refunded my money. I had an option of a debit card or store credit, or they could send it to me in my email. That's what I took on it. I just took that and went to Walmart with it and they scanned the code and we were done.

    We have a Shark robot vacuum cleaner that stopped working. I submitted a claim to Allstate. The first time I called them, I talked to somebody. The second time, it was like a computer tech who told me he would email me a list of repairmen to take my vacuum cleaner to, to get it fixed, and then pay for it, and then send them the bill. And they'll reimburse me for it. It was ridiculous. They never sent me a list of any of them here and I never heard back from them. So it was just pointless.

    I am dissatisfied overall. I have Allstate for everything. They’re my car and house insurance. When I buy something from Walmart, I generally buy the warranty. That way if something does happen, they can fix it. But this time, they didn't fix my vacuum cleaner and it’s still broken. So, I just went and bought me a handheld vacuum vacuum but I did not buy the warranty on that 'cause Allstate didn't cover the first one.

    Allstate is wonderful. I got car insurance and I got phone protection with them. We had a little hiccup when they needed a receipt and I didn't have one. That took a little bit, but we finally got that handled. I got my phone in 24 hours. Then there are 10 days that they say is the policy to send me a check, which they did. However, part of my frustration is their policy of going through the initial deal with chatbots. I’ve got to get to a live body but that's how they’re set up. I can understand that if the next step in the process is okay, but I couldn't get to the next step. They may be a live body just being that way, or one of those computers or AI. I can't calculate if it's a human and it's like dealing with two different companies.

    You can't get to a live body. Those chatbots are terrible, and if you don't answer their question perfectly, they hang up on you. They're dumb and dirty and I can't say enough bad things about them. If you're lucky, if you call the number, you can get a live body. I also don't know if they’re actual people or if they're just chatbots. But other than that, you had to go to the chatbot or chat people. I can't do that stuff, using my keyboard to try to find out what's wrong. There was no other option. I kept on trying different numbers that I had, online and in place. I finally got a totally different number that took care of me. They could do on the first contact to say, “I need to send you to our automated system." It's just, "Call that number," and you don't get anything.

    On the opposite end, the live people got me and my phone out of there in 48 hours. It was like day and night. I just bought a smartwatch and I'm going to buy their insurance. They’re good and I know how the system works now. I also got a couple of emails from them saying, "We value your business. How can we do better?" But I don't know if somebody's telling them what they need to know. The deal is you try to type in a box saying what you think they did good or bad. I'm not gonna fill it out. It won't do the things I need to do.

    Usually, when I purchase electronics, I get a protection plan because you never know what happens. And I've lived life long enough to know better to be safe than sorry. I filed a claim for a faulty controller that got like stick drift. It malfunctioned. And then we also did one for an earbud because it came apart. They were AirPods but the cord ones. My son needs his AirPods because when he works, he listens to music. And he does some hard factory work and he's on his feet a lot.

    I had a good experience with both of them. At first, I was a little frustrated because they wanted to only offer me a cord controller but we bought a wireless one. They ended up sending us a wireless controller. The cord ones are a little bit cheaper and they're not as good. It is morally right if they make up for the one you actually purchased. The claim was really fast, and they came through. At first, I was a little worried, but it worked out. When the kids are happy, mom's happy.

    The protection plans prices are reasonable but some are not. Some of them are $10 to $15, depending on what the item is and how many years you get. I feel the customers need to reevaluate the price. I'm a frequent Walmart customer who always buys the protection plans so, we may never need to buy and they might make money off of us just getting the plan and never needing to be used. Other than that, Allstate Protection Plans did what I asked and I was grateful for that.

    Having a protection plan seemed like a good idea, and Allstate is a trusted brand, so I went with it. The chair was broke, honestly. It’s an office-style gaming chair. The piston wouldn’t go up and down, then the base broke, and it started tilting all around at the same time.

    At first, they gave me the turnaround for about a month trying to find a company to come look at it. Then the company they found said it would take six weeks from my initial claim to come out and check it. I called and emailed them back to say that wouldn’t work. It took another two weeks, and I started this in February, it’s been over a month now. Yesterday, they finally made an offer and told me that my chair is out of stock, and they can’t get another one.

    They offered two other options from Amazon, but neither was as good as my son’s chair. The one I originally bought is actually still in stock on Amazon. They sent me links, so I sent one back showing it was available, and I haven’t heard back since.

    They told me I had to wait. I told them I’d never buy another Allstate plan again because it’s been nothing but a turnaround. Yesterday was the first time I got anything. Instead of sending company that five or six hours away. They must say that I might get another chair. They’re based in Orlando, not even in the same state. It’s about five or six hours away, which is why it was taking so long for them to come out and look at it.

    The webpage was a bit odd and wouldn’t let you go back. I accidentally hit enter before I was ready, and it was submitted. Otherwise, it was fine, but that’s what messed everything up. It made my claim look weird when it got submitted.

    Allstate Protection is an absolute must have to cover any of your products. I had a five-year warranty on my lift chair which I almost totally forgotten and thought I had run out of time when the arm had detached from the side of the chair. It’s a good thing I still had time on it, and it was the simplest claim process I have gone through in a while. I do stuff with automotive and the home, and it was the easiest and it was quick. Allstate replied back with two options for the chair, and they told me if I didn't like it, I could send them another option, so I did. I wanted to see if I could get something a little bit more width to the seat so I sent it back, and they said they’d just send me an electronic gift card for the amount that I paid for the chair and could purchase it through Amazon. I chose the electronic gift card, went on Amazon, and bought a new chair. It was unbelievably easy.
