    I opted to purchase an Allstate Protection Plan for my Opal ice maker, partly because my sister had recommended it. I purchased the plan online while ordering the ice maker through Walmart. Unfortunately, after just a year, my ice maker went out, which was frustrating since the original price would have been $500 if not on sale.

    When the issue arose, I filed a claim with Allstate. While the process took a while and involved some back-and-forth with customer service, I managed to get to one representative who helped me through it. They were supposed to send me a check because they couldn't find a replacement ice maker, but I haven’t received it yet and I'm currently waiting for it in the mail.

    Overall, I'd rate my experience with Allstate at about 4 stars. The process had its hiccups, but they were manageable.

    We went to turn on the tv, we heard it click, but the screen was black. It had a manufacturer warranty on it, so Allstate Protection Plans was able to see what items were available, and they reshipped us another tv. It's still a 70-inch and it's a nice TV, so we're satisfied. They tried to troubleshoot at first, and when that didn't work, they went over what my warranty was. They had us send pictures and videos of the item, and that was it. It was simple and fast. We were not home, and the driver called and I'm glad they called and not just left the tv. I had a family member come over, and they were able to let them in and leave the item for us. It came faster than expected.

    I originally gave a bad review, but have since changed my mind. I had three repairmen from two different companies in a month for the same issue and still had the problem. I was frustrated with the repairman. Allstate came through and replaced my washer. Once that decision was made it was taken care of in a week. I am happy with the results.

    The washing machine would not spin properly and to start the claim process, I filled it out online and followed up with a call. Allstate sent a repairman from an appliance company after mailing the parts needed for repair. Surprisingly, the repairman replaced one part and left, saying the other parts weren't necessary - despite this, the problem persisted. I felt stuck and contacted them again, leading them to send another repairman, this time from LG. He insisted on changing the same parts, despite my attempts to clarify they were already swapped, and dismissed my input regarding what I'd observed. Disappointingly, this resulted in no progress and continued spats of service failure, now with an added leakage issue.

    When seeking customer service support, I encountered struggles understanding representatives outsourced overseas, which added to the challenge. Despite my prior positive views on the affordability of the plan, this initial interaction with their claim service let me down. I felt unheard and unchanged, magnifying the difficulty of rectifying the problem. This is my first experience using Allstate’s protection plan and I'm not happy. Reflecting on whether I would recommend this protection plan to others, I truly cannot endorse it at this point due to my lack of favorable experience and service satisfaction, urging caution before proceeding.

    Please People Be Very Very Careful with this Guarantee thing, especially with these insurance companies like in my case Allstate Protection Plans since they are only looking for easy money but they are not interested in enforcing the guarantees for which we pay hoping that if something happens it will be resolved for us and this Allstate company does not want to help me with my claim for an ice maker in my Samsung refrigerator that does not work and they indicated that I should unplug my refrigerator and plug it back in in 24 hours because they are not going to send any technician since they are quite expensive for them.

    I made the choice to purchase an Allstate Protection Plan due to the added security it promised for my new chairs. My husband and I bought the chairs from Menards, one was purchased in a box, and the other as a floor model. However, when we got home, the chair from the box revealed issues that the floor model didn't have.

    We were switching over to Mint Mobile when we came across Allstate. We got a protection plan for my boyfriend's phone and we also ended up getting a plan for the TV that we bought at Costco.     Wen my boyfriend needed help with his phone, I started submitting a claim with Allstate then I felt quite frustrated. We told Allstate to include him in their list because of the honest work he did. It was also good that they didn't charge us the $66 deductible again when we went to the other guy to get the phone fixed, which was good.

    This company is the most frustrating company I think I have ever worked with. Almost 3 weeks now since I've called in to file a claim on a washing machine and still no resolution. Missed appointments, technicians that could care less about you and your situation, and the same old song and dance when you call in (for the 7th time) trying to resolve.     I bought a five-burner gas grill through Walmart and took an Allstate warranty on. The grill is about two years old and the quality of it is not what I expected. I filed a claim with Allstate and I don't know how their warranties work, but apparently they don't do repairs. I was expecting to get some replacement parts, but they just fully refunded the price. They do not refund taxes or the price that you paid for the plan, only the basic price for the grill was refunded. This is the first time I used Allstate and the process worked well.     I purchased a warranty for a water heater at Home Depot. It clearly states in the warranty that they will replace the item, and pay for the installation of a new unit. My tank was replaced, but after submitting an invoice for the installation, they wanted to give me a gift card to Home Depot for over $600. I was approved by a supervisor to receive the reimbursement by check, (since I paid it) and put that in writing as directed by the supervisor. I was told to sign the affidavit they would send me after that, but he had put it in the system also to allow the check reimbursement. They sent an E-gift card anyway, and now say that they cannot change the payment. (Odd how the card cannot be voided - they must not have that kind of technology). Now, I will have to use it ONLY at HD and I’m out over $600 cash. I will never buy from HD or Squaretrade/Allstate ever again.

    I bought an Allstate/SquareTrade protection plan for my electronics, thinking it would give me peace of mind, but it turned out to be a complete nightmare. The claims process is beyond frustrating. When you call, they tell you to file the claim online. But when you try filing online, they say you need to call. If you call again, they suggest using live chat, and when you try the chat, they send you back to the phone line. It feels like they are trying to make you give up!

    Even if you manage to start a claim, they do not make it easy. Instead of offering a refund, they ask you to ship the device for repairs—meaning you have to pack it up, pay for shipping, and wait around. Then, you are expected to upload the repair receipt, and only if it is approved will you get reimbursed. It is a massive waste of time and effort. I finally canceled the plan, and to make matters worse, they only gave me a prorated refund instead of a full one. I would never recommend this protection plan to anyone. If you are considering it, save yourself the headache and stay far away!

    I purchased the protection plan for my Vizio TV, which conked out in less than two years. When it came time to choose my “replacement” TV, I was offered only three options, none of which came to a Vizio. When I called customer service, they said that they change out of the possibilities every 24-48 hours, which is true. However, the possibilities were limited to just three TVs, again nothing similar to a Vizio. They gave me no other choices so I had to select one. Then, not to be able to purchase an extended warranty tells me that the TVs were not of great value or quality. Very disappointed and would not recommend purchasing their warranty for any item.

    We purchased an extended warranty for a GE stove from Home Depot. For the second time, we had a gas leak with the stove. The first one happened within the first year, so it was covered by GE. They were here the next day and very professional. A year and a half later, we contacted the warranty company because we smelled gas. There was another gas leak with the stove. This was on a Saturday, and it was not until the next Wednesday that a technician came to check out the leak. They seem very confused as to what was going on. They said in one or two business days they would let us know, one way, or the other, whether to replace or repair the stove.

    Six days later., We got an email stating that the problem was not with the stove. It was the gas line. It was not under warranty. Problem is, you never get anyone who speaks English. Everyone is there reading a script. They promise you that they put you at the front of the line. You’re wasting your money if you choose Home Depot‘s warranty. No more big purchases with Home Depot. Go with someone reputable who will service what they sell.

    My momma always tells me to get a warranty, and I'm used to getting insurance and warranties on things. The original price of Allstate is definitely worth it. I purchased a protection plan for a ceiling fan. It works fine but the remote stopped working. I can hit the switch on the wall, and the light comes on, but I need the remote to work in order for the fan to come on and for it to change the colored lights.

    I had to make sure that I had purchased the warranty for it. I looked into Wayfair and found out I did. I looked through my emails and found the email from Allstate. It matched the order number and the item number, then I started the claim online. Their website is easy to use, then it was a back-and-forth email, like if they told me my pictures weren't clear enough. I had to keep going back in and checking my email and the update status of the claim.

    They gave me a gift card to refund my entire item, which is unfortunate. I just needed the remote to work. The fan is perfect and the light works. I'm gonna have to get an electrician to buy a new ceiling fan and to change that. It’s also got LED lights and my daughter loves this light, that's why I can't change it. But now she can't see the lights.

    Allstate’s price for the protection plans is good and submitting a claim on the website was easy. I didn’t have a problem getting my microwave warranty, but with the monitor, I'm having a lot of difficulty. Allstate said I needed a receipt for the monitor. I told the rep I could not find the receipt, but I received the email stating that the receipt was found and attached to my account. There are two solutions I can pick to resolve this, but every time I go to pick a solution, it tells me to send in a picture of the receipt. I'm going around in circles and couldn't go any further.

    I talked to somebody on the phone and he kept saying the same thing. I was like, "I don't have the receipt, but you have my account. It shouldn't be a problem." I even called Walmart to see if they could send me a receipt, but couldn't do it that way either. Allstate was doing their best to help, though. I had the same issue previously and they said they were just gonna start the request from when I contacted them about two weeks ago because my warranty isn't up until September or October of this year.

    When you go to Walmart, buy the Allstate Warranty. It's worth whatever little bit of money you spend on it. I buy the protection plan for anything I buy from Walmart. I bought two electric blankets and when you turn the blankets on, they're so hot even when they're on low that you can't even get under them.

    First, I went to Walmart and they said they wouldn't do anything because it was still under the warranty of the people that made those. I proceeded to call the number that I had for them and it was an out-of-country call. I guess they were made in Japan. Then we got busy with some surgery that had to be done, and I didn't get to call back until after the first of the year.

    When I called back, I called Allstate and explained the problem to them, and they took excellent care of me. They refunded my money. I had an option of a debit card or store credit, or they could send it to me in my email. That's what I took on it. I just took that and went to Walmart with it and they scanned the code and we were done.

    We have a Shark robot vacuum cleaner that stopped working. I submitted a claim to Allstate. The first time I called them, I talked to somebody. The second time, it was like a computer tech who told me he would email me a list of repairmen to take my vacuum cleaner to, to get it fixed, and then pay for it, and then send them the bill. And they'll reimburse me for it. It was ridiculous. They never sent me a list of any of them here and I never heard back from them. So it was just pointless.

    I am dissatisfied overall. I have Allstate for everything. They’re my car and house insurance. When I buy something from Walmart, I generally buy the warranty. That way if something does happen, they can fix it. But this time, they didn't fix my vacuum cleaner and it’s still broken. So, I just went and bought me a handheld vacuum vacuum but I did not buy the warranty on that 'cause Allstate didn't cover the first one.

I can understand that if the next step in the process is okay, but I couldn't get to the next step. They may be a live body just being that way, or one of those computers or AI. I can't calculate if it's a human and it's like dealing with two different companies.

    You can't get to a live body. Those chatbots are terrible, and if you don't answer their question perfectly, they hang up on you. They're dumb and dirty and I can't say enough bad things about them. If you're lucky, if you call the number, you can get a live body. I also don't know if they’re actual people or if they're just chatbots. But other than that, you had to go to the chatbot or chat people. I can't do that stuff, using my keyboard to try to find out what's wrong. There was no other option. I kept on trying different numbers that I had, online and in place. I finally got a totally different number that took care of me. They could do on the first contact to say, “I need to send you to our automated system." It's just, "Call that number," and you don't get anything.

    On the opposite end, the live people got me and my phone out of there in 48 hours. It was like day and night. I just bought a smartwatch and I'm going to buy their insurance. They’re good and I know how the system works now. I also got a couple of emails from them saying, "We value your business. How can we do better?" But I don't know if somebody's telling them what they need to know. The deal is you try to type in a box saying what you think they did good or bad. I'm not gonna fill it out. It won't do the things I need to do.

    Usually, when I purchase electronics, I get a protection plan because you never know what happens. And I've lived life long enough to know better to be safe than sorry. I filed a claim for a faulty controller that got like stick drift. It malfunctioned. And then we also did one for an earbud because it came apart. They were AirPods but the cord ones. My son needs his AirPods because when he works, he listens to music. And he does some hard factory work and he's on his feet a lot.

    I had a good experience with both of them. At first, I was a little frustrated because they wanted to only offer me a cord controller but we bought a wireless one. They ended up sending us a wireless controller. The cord ones are a little bit cheaper and they're not as good. It is morally right if they make up for the one you actually purchased. The claim was really fast, and they came through. At first, I was a little worried, but it worked out. When the kids are happy, mom's happy.

    The protection plans prices are reasonable but some are not. Some of them are $10 to $15, depending on what the item is and how many years you get. I feel the customers need to reevaluate the price. I'm a frequent Walmart customer who always buys the protection plans so, we may never need to buy and they might make money off of us just getting the plan and never needing to be used. Other than that, Allstate Protection Plans did what I asked and I was grateful for that.

    Having a protection plan seemed like a good idea, and Allstate is a trusted brand, so I went with it. The chair was broke, honestly. It’s an office-style gaming chair. The piston wouldn’t go up and down, then the base broke, and it started tilting all around at the same time.

    At first, they gave me the turnaround for about a month trying to find a company to come look at it. Then the company they found said it would take six weeks from my initial claim to come out and check it. I called and emailed them back to say that wouldn’t work. It took another two weeks, and I started this in February, it’s been over a month now. Yesterday, they finally made an offer and told me that my chair is out of stock, and they can’t get another one.

    They offered two other options from Amazon, but neither was as good as my son’s chair. The one I originally bought is actually still in stock on Amazon. They sent me links, so I sent one back showing it was available, and I haven’t heard back since.

    They told me I had to wait. I told them I’d never buy another Allstate plan again because it’s been nothing but a turnaround. Yesterday was the first time I got anything. Instead of sending company that five or six hours away. They must say that I might get another chair. They’re based in Orlando, not even in the same state. It’s about five or six hours away, which is why it was taking so long for them to come out and look at it.

    The webpage was a bit odd and wouldn’t let you go back. I accidentally hit enter before I was ready, and it was submitted. Otherwise, it was fine, but that’s what messed everything up. It made my claim look weird when it got submitted.

The lenses got scratched, so we questioned the people at Sam’s Club and the guy was very helpful, giving us the brochure and a copy of our receipt. He said to contact Allstate, and that everything will be done online.

    My only headache is that the pamphlet didn’t have the telephone number that I had to call to do the claim. It talked about TVs and stereos and heavy electronics, and one phrase about glasses. But once I got the number, it was a piece of cake. We got money to purchase another pair of glasses through a Sam’s store credit.

    I’m an appliance repair person. I pick appliances for a living – If my customer buys one from eBay or Amazon, usually, there is an opportunity to sign up for an Allstate Protection Plan or three or four others I’m familiar with. If there’s a problem, I give them their money back or offer to fix it if I can get a comparable price used part.

    Over the years, I’ve sold 50 or 60 Allstate plans but I’ve only had one claim and one reimbursal. I had one part that came in that was bad, and I got reimbursed for the part and got reimbursed for the plan that I paid for.

    I purchased a Eufy smart door lock on eBay with a two-year warranty, and the fingerprint sensor didn't work on it. When I went back to Eufy, they said that, as it is considered reconditioned, they only did 90 days, and the additional warranty would be through Allstate.

    It took three weeks to get the claim started and going because of a mix-up with my eBay account. It was very frustrating, but I found somebody who, when I called in, was able to help me and get things coordinated. That’s when they said they were sending the payment, which I haven't received. It’s somewhere around $119. I'm assuming it was sent via mail, but it’s been three weeks.

    Other than that, everything was good. They were very friendly and helpful. It wasn't their fault that there was some confusion, which they helped resolve. The fact that it was only 90 days from the manufacturer and Allstate got the extra year and nine months is nice – I'm very happy about that. I didn't see anything out of pocket for it, so it must have been built into the cost, which would be excellent, too.

    The microwave wasn't heating up the food. I submitted the claim with Allstate Protection Plans and it wasn't complicated. All I had to do was log in and go to all the things that I had up there with Allstate. You basically just tell them your problem, when did it happen, and when did it start. All the information is there already, which is much more updated now from when I did my refrigerator. Back then I had to put the date in and keep switching back and forth. But now, everything is already there.

    They told me that the process would take two days, but it was like a day and a half, not even a whole 48 hours. In the end, I got a virtual gift card for the amount that I paid for the microwave.     I purchased a laser printer with an extended protection plan from Allstate. When I first got the printer, it kept saying the paper tray was empty over and over. After going back and forth trying to fix it, I finally asked them to send a replacement under warranty and they sent me a second printer.

    And sure enough, the second printer did the same thing. I contacted Brother again and was told the problem was with the sensors in the paper tray. After dealing with this for over a year, I finally filed a claim.

    I bought the printer from OfficeMax, which is now part of Office Depot, so it wasn’t clear who to contact. Then they said they didn’t handle the warranty and sent me to another place, which also said it had nothing to do with them. It literally took me hours to finally reach someone who confirmed that the three-year extended warranty I purchased was actually covered by Allstate. I ended up dealing with Allstate directly.

    At first, they were very reluctant to provide any warranty service. I explained the situation and even got a little snippy with the representative. The printer has been a constant headache. It works sometimes, and sometimes it doesn’t. About 20 minutes later, she called me back and said she's going to take care of this and we’ll put in a claim for the entire printer. That completely surprised me and changed my mind about Allstate. After that they sent me a check for the full cost of the printer for $500.

    These days, you never know what you’re going to get when you buy something, especially when spending $500 on a printer, plus tax. Brother has been around for years, but you never know if you’ll get a good one.

    I would repeat my experience and say that at first, it felt like pulling teeth to get anyone to respond until I got a little snippy. But I have to give credit to the representative, she went to her boss during the 20-minute interval before calling me back. I have to give her kudos for being so straightforward.

    I filed a claim on a TCL TV through Allstate Protection Plans when the screen stopped showing a picture. The process was easy. I started the claim online and they wanted a copy of the receipt, but they already had it. I bought the TV through Walmart, and since I purchased the policy through them, they sent the information directly to Allstate.

    The claims representative was good. They’re fast, quick and easy and I don’t have any complaints. They helped me through troubleshooting steps. I connected it to the wall and tried tuning into a station. When that didn’t work, I attempted streaming from another source separate from the cable. I did all of that, but still didn’t get any picture.

    I purchased the protection plan for a GE washing machine that I bought at Costco. My daughter used it and it sat there. Another daughter came home from school and she tried to turn it on and said, “Why is it not turning on?” I never buy warranties ever, as a rule. But the place where the washing machine was, it was a pain in the neck to pull it out and put it back in. And I was like, “You know what? I’m going to do it this time.” So, I looked back in my invoice from Costco and did a search for the washing machine and I found the trail.

    The rep I talked to over the phone was great, primarily. I had a couple interactions at first, and then I had one that put me off a little bit because she was like, “Well, you weren’t supposed to buy a new machine. You’re supposed to call us back. And we’re not going to cover on your new machine.” That did not sound right. She very much felt like a gatekeeper, but she might have been just doing her job. At which point, I asked, “Can I talk to your boss?” At which point, she let me talk to her boss. And she was like, “Oh, no, we are going to get this handled for you.”

    The first couple of people I talked to were so helpful and kind. The first thing I did was I took my phone and I saw the code on my machine. So, I called GE because there was a hot link to call them. I called them and scheduled for them to come out and they were going to be able to come out very quickly. So, I was like, “All right. Well, I’m going to keep that.”

    So, when I called Allstate, I already had that appointment. And the person on the phone said, “Normally we send our people out. But if you already have an appointment and we can’t send somebody out for another week, why don’t you keep that appointment if you’re okay with paying up-front? And then we’ll reimburse you.” And I said, “That’s wonderful, love it.”

    So that is what we did. But then the GE guy came out and was like, “I’m not unstacking them. And it’s going to cost you $700 for the parts alone. And you are going to have to call somebody to unstack it and pay them.” So, it ended up that it was really not monetarily smart to get it fixed.

    He said he would order parts if I wanted him to. And I said,” Okay, I’ll put a deposit on the parts. But I need to reach out to Allstate and see what they say.” So, at that point, he ordered it. Then he gave me an invoice of what it was going to cost on his part to order the parts and to get it fixed.

    I very easily could have misinterpreted what was being communicated, and I did not know that Allstate was going to try to find me a new machine if we needed to have it replaced. I just thought they would pay for a new machine. They said that they would give me the amount back, and that it has been approved.

    I found a machine from a local company who was the one that came out. He was going to come out and unstack it for me. But he’s like, “Oh, you know, if I unstack it and they fix it and we end up having a problem or we scratch your floors, I don’t want to get involved in that.” So, I said, “I completely understand. What about you have a machine like this?”

    And he said, “We actually have this year’s model of that machine, because your machine has been discontinued.” So, I said, “So I have the same footprint,” which was what I was concerned about because I didn’t want to have to hire somebody to move the gas line, move the water line, etc. So I said we would just have to do it. In the end, it was perfect. Nothing ever works out that way. You don’t want to have to get a new stacking kit if you don’t need it. I called him on Tuesday, and he said that they could deliver on Friday.

    I have no complaints whatsoever, and, truthfully, I was going get the coverage again for the new machine. It was so nice to have the option to use my own supplier. Allstate ended up being so flexible. In a time when you’re down a washing machine, it’s not the end of the world, but it complicates things. Everybody was smooth and kind.

    I had to send a laptop. They didn't even send me a return label. I just had to make so many phone calls. It was aggravating.

    It's valuable, depending on what you get the warranty for. Like large ticket items, it's very smart to do that. I'm finding some things that may have cost me 60 to 70 bucks, I have to go through a lot sometimes. But they don't last long, so that's the problem. But it's okay, they've been pretty expedient in getting things done. Overall, it's been good. It depends on who you get.

    I purchased a washer-dryer combo back in 2023. Fast forward to March 2025, the dryer is not heating at all, and on certain functions, like timed dry, it does not spin at all. I filed a claim, all the parts they felt was needed based on my call was delivered before the technician arrived. The technician finally arrived on Saturday, March 15, 2025 and did nothing. He said it was not heating due to it not getting enough electricity. The same electricity that the entire house runs on, (go figure). He never said anything about the other problem of the other functions not working. I was not home and when my mom finally called me, he had left. I then reached out to the company the technician worked for. After speaking to 3 different agents, one finally said, how do you know our technician broke it, and can you prove it. Wish I had recorded that conversation.

    Since I was getting nowhere with them, I reached out to Allstate, no better outcome though. They went off of what the technician said, which made no sense. So now I am stuck with a dryer that does not work at all. At least before the technician came it was doing a little something. Now I just need them to send someone to bet my dryer going again, is that too much to ask. What's the use of paying for warranty if "they don't cover the issue." This is the message I received after telling them the technician broke my dryer. (After review, it was determined the described problem with your appliance is an intermittent issue. The warranty terms and conditions cover only mechanical and electrical failures that can be replicated at the time of repair. Because no problem was established with your appliance, we will not be able to approve this claim.)

    Worst experience. Unrelated questions. They are so courteous while getting the customers signed up for the plans but when it comes to claims they are the worst. Just stalling the time by asking unrelated questions, asking to upload evidences multiple places multiple times thereby confusing the customer and they expect the customer to be on top of answering their questionnaire because they think customers are jobless, have total free time to respond to their endless questions. Finally, they say "oh this cannot be addressed because you delayed answering our questions". Worst service. Never going back. I usually never signed for this kind of stuffs but for some reason I got fooled this time.

    This insurance product in my experience was such a scam and fraudulent. I bought a $500 5-year warranty through them on a couch I purchased two years ago. It was a $4500 couch so wanted to make sure it was protected. The couch had some framework that was faulty and we noticed trying to pop out of the back. We tried to start a claim and All State for some reason had an account for us set up to the WRONG email there for it took a week or two to get the account properly established and the claim number under the right email address to continue the process.

    Then they DENIED my claim because it was outside a 30-day window? (in which was NEVER DISCUSSED with us the multiple times we tried to get this sorted out). We tried to file a claim quickly but had roadblocks in being able to do so because of their system and lack of communication. They said there was NOTHING they could do whatsoever to make things right. The worst experience and just another example of why people think insurance is nothing but a scam. You can’t even trust that they will do what you PAID them to cover. Such a joke and these people should be ashamed of themselves.

    BUYER BEWARE! I bought a Samsung on TV because of all the great reviews, Samsung was the only choice as far as I was concerned. I was told by many friends and many professionals saying that Samsung was the best out there. I bought my TV from what I thought was the “AWESOME” Nebraska Furniture Mart. During the purchase the sales Associate (which was amazing) offered us an extended service contract. I thought this was a “no brainer”. Fast forward to when the TV was delivered. It was damaged, NFM ended up replacing the TV because the “ALLSTATE” warranty I bought did not cover the damage. I finally got my TV, and it was perfect. We loved it and were happy with the purchase.

    Fast forward to February 2025. I got home and the glass on front of the TV was on the ground shattered. You could imagine my shock and surprise. I made a claim on my “SQUARE TRADE ALSTATE” extended service contract”. They denied my claim without talking to me nor seeing any pictures!! I was “told” the warranty would cover anything. After 3 emails they offered to refund the cost of the warranty. I told them this was unacceptable and that I would be turning to social media so anyone that reads my review will be aware that NFM and SQUARE TRADE BY ALLSTATE are deceitful and will do anything to not pay a claim. They refused to pay the full amount for the TV so here I am letting the world know! BE AWARE!

    We bought a plan for our pool, an outdoor item. The pool frame has rusted and two legs fell off. They will not cover it. “We cannot approve claims in which the damage to the item is caused due to rust or any weather conditions.” We have had them before and they have covered it, as we’ve had the issue with our first pool (why we bought the plan again.) We also bought the “accidental” policy….so it should cover anything, but apparently an outdoor item can’t have anything related to being outside be wrong with it. I feel like there should not be a warranty offered on an outdoor product, if they won’t cover anything that has to do with outdoor elements, especially with an accidental policy. I guess you’re not in good hands with Allstate.

    This is one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had, if not the worst. I bought an item on eBay and upon checkout, was offered a protection plan. However, the vendor never sent the item, and canceled the order without asking me. So you'd think that it would be a simple thing to get a refund for the void protection plan for an item that I have never possessed.

    But you would be wrong. I have spent weeks and hours and hours going back and forth between Allstate and eBay. eBay says to contact Allstate. Allstate says to contact eBay. No one makes the case that I am not entitled to a refund. But no one will step up and provide one. As a result of this, I have lost faith in both Allstate and eBay. eBay says that if something goes wrong and you don't get what you pay for, they will step in to help. Nope! I have communicated with a dozen of their reps in addition to calling and emailing Allstate and going to their website.

    There is NO support if something goes wrong. Just remember that. This plan is a GAMBLE. There is no support at all if something goes wrong. If something goes wrong then you are stuck paying for a void plan that has no value because no one can make a damage claim about an item that they have never possessed and have never paid for. If Allstate would simply respond to messages on eBay, they could have given me what I needed. Because at first, I had wanted a refund so that I could buy a plan for the item that I actually got.

    But no one at Allstate provides any support for this. On the phone they told me to email them, and on email they told me to call. eBay blames Allstate, Allstate blames eBay. They are both partners in this racket. And at this point, I certainly do not want a so-called protection plan from Allstate, nor do I want to do business with eBay. What Allstate has done here in simply collecting risk-free profit from me is insurance fraud, plain and simple, and so I have reported it as such.

    My claim was started February 11 (today is March 4) and the PC is still not repaired, with no estimated time to fix. All your literature states 2-5 business days for most fixes. If you're not going to fix it in that time period, you should notify customers with the expected fix time. Also, why do you make it so difficult to get a claim update? 99% of other companies include a simple link to the claim update every time they email with the status. Also, having the MFA go to an email while I'm on email using the phone is way more complicated than having it texted to my phone. You should have an option to be notified by text. Lastly, why do you keep asking for reviews before you've fixed my PC. Fix it first, then send out the survey.... AFTER THE JOB IS DONE. This was the second survey request I received!

    The Technician stopped the screws that hold the door panel so a week or 2 after he left it fell off. I can't believe he didn't know they were stripped. Then calling Allstate again they scheduled another repair and sent me parts. In the meantime I believe I fixed the problem by simply installing larger screws. I've now called Allstate twice trying to return the parts they sent me. They promised to email me shipping labels but still nothing. I'm getting ready to just throw them away.

    Allstate needs to improve the claims process because it was very difficult at first. I went to Walmart three times until they gave me an 800-number for Allstate. The people who helped me get the protection plan in place were all very nice, we just couldn't get the foot up in the saddle for me. It took hours but when they finally sent me the label, I went up to FedEx, and they set things up for me. I sent my laptop in for repair, and I was under the impression they were fixing it, but they sent me a new one in a different color and a smaller screen. They didn't tell me they were sending a different one, but they did replace it, it works fine, and I'm happy about that. They could have informed me they were gonna replace it, but I appreciate the service and getting a new computer.

    I did a claim for a pair of glasses that had scratches on the lens. We called the number on the brochure that we were given when we purchased it. The initial call was to understand what the steps were 'cause they weren't clear to us. Then we were instructed to file a claim on the website and we had to upload a copy of the invoice showing where we purchased the glasses and the plan.

    I purchased a Whirlpool washer less than two years ago, and it's been a terrible experience. The machine is faulty and not functioning properly. I went into Staples to have the laptop check out (Feb/11/25) for it would not hold a charge nor would the Laptop boot up.     I recently had an experience with Allstate Protection Plans regarding a refrigerator issue. The door wasn't closing properly, and while it's now fixed, getting there was quite challenging. I purchased the refrigerator through Costco and had a protection plan confirmation email. When I called Allstate, they initially couldn't find my coverage for the refrigerator based on the model and serial number. I sent them a picture of the sticker, which they asked for, and they said, "We'll call Costco and we'll get back to you." They never got back to me. I called them again and they asked me to call Costco. I explained the thing to Costco and they said they'll take care of it. Again, I didn't hear back from anybody.

    I called about it again three days later, then Allstate confirmed my policy and arranged for a technician to visit. Before the technician's visit, I had to take pictures of what was wrong with my refrigerator. They were gonna send me the part so that the guy would have the part with him. I got five emails saying the part was coming. Four of the part shipments came and there was a fifth one that was still on the way. The repairman called and asked me to give him the tracking number. He said, "We probably don't need the fifth part anyway." The repairman who finally came was efficient, completing the repair in about 15-20 minutes, and I was satisfied with his work.

    However, there were still issues post-repair with label confusion for returning excess parts. I told the repairman, "I got this other thing that's coming in the mail." He said, "They'll get back to you when you get it and you can send it back." Again, nobody got back to me. I called Allstate and said, "I got this thing here. It's in a bag or a box. I don't know what it is." They said, "We'll send you a label for it." The next day, I got four labels, so I sent them another email, "I got one box and four labels. Which one should I use? If I don't hear back from you, I'm just gonna pick one and send it to you." I got a reply to that email two days after and it said, "Don't worry about it. If you have more than one part, you can just put them all in one box and use one label on it." They completely didn't understand the fact I had more labels than pieces. I just ignored the thing, picked a label and sent it back and I haven't heard anything.

    Overall, while the actual repair service was excellent, the administrative hurdles and lack of proactive communication made the process more cumbersome than it should have been. I would rate my overall experience a 3 out of 5, though the repair itself was flawless.

In terms of resolving the claim, Allstate decided to refund the cost of the television set, and I'm currently waiting for the check to arrive in the mail. I would rate my experience with the claims process as a 3 to 4. If asked by a friend or family member about this protection plan, I'd say if it's inexpensive, like in my case where it was included with the purchase of the television, it's worth considering. Typically, I do not buy extended warranties, but since this one came with the TV at no extra cost, it turned out to be beneficial.

    I purchased a 43-inch TV and got a protection plan directly through the store. Unfortunately, my TV stopped working, so I needed to file a claim. Initially, I went back and forth, being told by the store to call the protection plan service, which was quite frustrating.     I recently had an experience with Allstate regarding a protection plan for an ice maker I purchased a few years ago as a gift for my daughter. The icemaker would have the whole little tray up to freeze it. But after it was partially frozen, it would just dump and drain the water. It would go back up and try to freeze another bunch over it.     I work with kids and order a lot from Amazon and I try to put coverage on it. The most they can do was either reimburse me for getting it fixed or just give me $55 back off of the product. I’ve ordered walkie-talkies and hoverboards and filed a claim on it. I paid more for it but it's better to get something back than nothing. Filing a claim was super easy and simple. I enjoyed it. It was a lot faster and you don't have to talk to anybody. You just do everything online. Then, they sent me a check in the mail. I’d refer people to Allstate to make sure they get a warranty on the product, and make sure they can do it online or they can call somebody to take care of their claims.

    I registered on the site and paid the fee. I discovered on my product (smartwatch) receipt that there were 15 days between the time I paid for the watch and the shipping date. There was NO PLACE on the website to call, text, or email customer support, no related info in the FAQs and proof of payment or plan did not display. - I waited a day, found a phone number on the internet, and was sent a chat link. Despite providing the proof of purchase, receipt, etc., the agent had questions. So I decided I would have the same issues if I filed a claim. I have decided to cancel the plan. - I was eventually told my watch would be covered, but I don't like the customer service or lack thereof.
