    If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst experience. The representative was beyond rude. They lied about the date the emails were sent to me. I was approved for a replacement but when I went to click on the replacement it said there was a problem which is why I contacted in the first place. When I would respond they took 3-5 minutes to respond back. Then when it was all over she said the only thing they could do is offer a refund. I won't see the refund because they need a copy of the receipt and other information I don't have. Lesson learned.

    Outstanding handling of a TV that screen went black after 3 yrs. The correspondence was quick and thorough. The requests for validation were clear and easy to accommodate.     I have protection on the e-tricycle. I have faulty brakes which makes it dangerous to ride. I was told that I could have local repair shop fix it, and receive a Walmart gift card. There are no local shops in my area. So they were going to send me new brakes. I’m still waiting.

    I purchase Allstate Protection Plans for almost everything that is over $100. It was only recently that I had to file a claim. The process was impressively straightforward! Allstate emailed me a shipping label, and once I boxed up my item and dropped it off at FedEx, they kept me informed every step of the way. They notified me once they received the item and provided an ETA for its return. Unfortunately, when the item came back, it still wasn't functioning.     Sent phone in with 25 days left on the warranty! It came back face peeling off so was told to send it back! 3 weeks went by and couldn't find a time I could do without beings I'm disabled and in poor health! My phone is my lifeline! Then couldn't print the return label! When I called they said they would send me another return label but it never worked! Tried again and I printed it and when I could after hospital stay I sent it off only to return home and phone was there! I realized the return label was to myself! Called in and was told they denied me because I took too long so now stuck with worse phone I first sent in! I got it back with face peeling off! Now stuck with bad phone!     Paid $292 for a warranty, I have been begging them to come fix my lg refrigerator that has been leaking all over my floor and ruining it for months and months. They finally agreed to come look at it. First time I took off work they ordered the wrong parts that had to do with the water hook up, even after I wrote in my claim it is not hooked up to water, then I told them over the phone multiple times it's not hooked up to water.

    They reordered parts. I took off work again, been waiting a few hours and no one showed up. I called and they said I did not have an appointment today, which I have attached to this review clearly stating I have an appointment today. Now they have to reschedule the attached appointment I did not have and I have to take off work again for the third time while my floor continues to be ruined. Stay away from LG appliances and especially Allstate. I decided to take a loss and purchase a home warranty instead because those are real and don't scam you like Allstate.

    I bought Allstate Protection Plans after purchasing a Wi-Fi router and shortly after, faced an issue with it. The process of dealing with the warranty was initially frustrating. Allstate and the manufacturer seemed to be bouncing back the responsibility. Allstate argued that it was the manufacturer's issue since it should still be under the manufacturer’s warranty, while the manufacturer refused to honor it, claiming the item was used—even though it wasn't.

    Eventually, after several tireless calls, Allstate agreed to cover it. They instructed me to box the router back up and send it to them, so at least there's a resolution in sight.     I wanted to keep the television because, at my age, you don't like moving stuff around. So, I tried everything they told me to try to keep the television, but it just simply would not function. I ended up working with Walmart, who was kind enough to exchange the TV even after purchasing additional recommended items that did not solve the original problems. My frustration lies not in the TV not working, but rather with the manufacturers and warranty services shirking responsibility or, in Allstate's case, being slow to respond. Meanwhile, Walmart has shown exceptional customer service, managing to listen to my concerns and facilitate a smoother exchange process for the TV itself.

    I'm not upset with Allstate. I used to have their car insurance. But I am now only seeking reimbursements from Allstate for the costs incurred in transporting the TV for the replacement and the unused portion of the exchange policy. The customer service people are very nice. The young lady told me that I should be able to get reimbursed and for me to ask for both, and to send the receipt for the young man who took the TV out to Walmart for me. So, I was just hoping to hear back to get some of my money refunded because I'm on a fixed income. But the communication with Allstate has been lackluster, as the response and follow-up on claims are inadequate. The period companies like this take to handle claims only deters customers from continuing to enjoy their products and services without feeling forgotten or ignored.

    I purchased a tablet and the protection plan with Allstate but unfortunately, my experience with them has been less than satisfactory. Not long after purchasing the tablet, the screen cracked, and I filed a claim within two weeks. Initially, I was told to expect an email within five business days to choose a replacement tablet, but I never received it.

    I reached out again and was refunded $45, although the tablet itself cost $69. Unfortunately, communication has been limited since it's mainly through text, with no option to speak to a representative directly. The refund wasn't sufficient to replace the tablet, and after sending them my receipt, I was informed that they had processed the wrong claim. They acknowledged the mistake and offered to open another claim to send me a new tablet.

    However, as of now, several days and emails later, I have yet to receive any follow-up or the promised replacement. Despite their assurance of timely emails, there has been a significant delay, and I'm still without a replacement tablet. Considering the poor response and lack of resolution, I would rate my satisfaction extremely low. This experience has left me quite frustrated, as it's been ongoing since May, and we are now well into July. Something needs to give because it was over $100 for everything.

    While they are offering to replace my air conditioner I have covered, the problem is the way they are doing it. I have a 10,000 btu ac and when it broke I filed a claim which was approved. They sent me 3 other acs to pick from. 2 of them they sent were 6k btu air conditioner and 1 was an 8k btu. Which is way smaller than 10k. Then I said ok Imma pick the 8k one 'cause I needed it now. The webpage they sent me was outdated. So I couldn't pick it. I tried calling their number 6 different times and it will not let you talk to someone regardless of what they say. If you choose what's happening they will hang up or the computer will just go silent. The people you chat with on the pop up chat literally do nothing except say email the company. But every reply to 1 email takes 24 to 48 hours. They will not call you or let you call them. There is no reason for any reply to take 24 to 48 hours except if it's a sorry pathetic company.

    On bought a 5 year protection on a couch I bought from Wayfair. Paid $200 for the Warranty. Called Allstate Protection to file claim. They sent a text link to my phone to set up the claim with a customer service rep. By text which I thought was convenient. Then after texting with the customer service rep. They don't handle certain claims. "REALLY" so they include another number to send you to. So after calling that number, the bot gets you info and says they will text you info to file your claim. Guess what, no text. Very flawed Warranty company with lots of hoops but no real service. Folks, save your money. Just go with the manufacturer Warranty instead. It may not be the best but you still get coverage and it does cost you anything. If you go with the Allstate Warranty, you get a no luck Warranty.

    Here’s what I was required to provide just to start my warranty claim:

    1. A valid item receipt. The receipt or invoice must include ALL the following:

    I purchased a Square Trade (Allstate) protection plan for a $2500 ice maker (outdoor kitchen). This was a 5-year plan for around $400. The ice maker stopped working at about one year, and I did my best to trouble-shoot. I hired (3) different appliance techs, and purchased (3) different water control valves (per their guidance)....and nothing worked. Water just kept flowing from the back of the tray. I then contacted Square Trade. Wow. I was passed along (4) times to a so-called specialist, who made me repeat the same information to a specialist, etc.. I asked to speak to a supervisor after about an hour and that went nowhere. I filled out the claim form online, submitted my case, and included invoices of my attempted repairs.

    I actually called the tech department of the manufacturer of the ice maker, and this guy told me my problem could not be fixed. It was a defective unit at this point. I provided this information to Square Trade, and that went nowhere. I contacted them again via email...and that has gone nowhere. This is no way to run a company who is supposed to provide protection via a contract with consumers. I now own an ice maker ($2500) that doesn't work, along with coverage ($400) that also doesn't work. 0 for 2.

    I do not recommend Allstate at all. In my experience, it has been a complete waste of money and, more importantly, a huge waste of time. They don’t read your emails or understand the actual problem you’re facing. Nobody follows up or tries to resolve your issue.     Not a great experience, but not a bad one either. So I'll start with the bad. Initially purchasing this product (warranty plan) I was under the impression that if something went wrong I'd be receiving an identical product exactly like the one I purchased. But that's not the case. I was given 2 options. Fix it at my cost up front which could take weeks and then submit the receipts for reimbursement (no way I paid for a replacement warranty) or to choose from the options given. The options I was given were significantly less in value and no where near the same as what I bought, but would take 2-3 business days to receive the new water dispenser so I reluctantly chose that route. Then when I picked the one closest to the value that I had, then I received an email saying they switched my claim to reimbursement only because now the option I chose was conveniently no longer in stock (go figure).

    After waiting a few days, I then had to sign some affidavit confirming what I had already said in my claim (really stupid and delayed the process even longer) which I did. Now I'd be given 2 options a Walmart gift card (2-3 business days) or a check (7-10 business days). Started this process on june 27th so it's already been about a week at this point of waiting. So I chose the gift card.

    Finally today I got the e gift card and go online to find a replacement bottom loader water dispenser. And low and behold my exact water dispenser with coffee maker was available. But now it's a little more expensive then when I bought it. So basically because the price went up for the exact same item I had, that wasn't an option to replace it with what I actually bought. So now I was forced to buy something from what was available that was comparable and spend more for it.

    Come to also find out, this is a one time replacement/reimbursement warranty. So the 3 years I purchased that had over and a half year left on it, is now completely done. And I now had to purchase a new 3 year warranty when most of these dispensers only last about 2 years before they stop working. So all in all I'm not very happy with this experience. Glad I was able to get some help with the replacement, but the warranty process and how they actually replace/reimburse you seems like a scam as I feel that the replacement should be exactly what I initially purchased regardless of cost. Especially if that item is available.

    It has been a month since I filed a claim and my item has still not been repaired. The repair tech first visited a week after it was reported. Looked at it, mentioned it needed parts & that they would order. Two weeks later I haven’t heard anything. Got on the phone with customer service - told they would mark my case as urgent & have an answer in 48 hours. 72 hours later nothing. Called again. Told the same thing. Local repair company called and said the parts needed to be orders by Allstate. Called Allstate again and they told me, "Oh we will send you an email. We need the measurement on the parts."

    When the repair company was out here they should have measured the parts. This should not be my responsibility if I’m paying for a warranty. I was not sure how to measure accurately do & was also not provided instructions or advised on how to do it. Sent them measurements & received the incorrect item. I have now spent time to remove the part & research the correct way to measure. I will be repairing it on my own. It is ridiculous that my item has been broken for a month and it's not repaired.

Unfortunately the paperwork was filed incorrectly by AT&T and I never received the phone so the purchase of the phone never happened.     I got Allstate because I always buy the protection plan for my kids and my granddaughters. It's good. It'll help you out with certain things. I recently filed a claim for an Oculus 3, which I bought for my son for Christmas.

    My son was playing the game and he always wears the arm strap. So that the joystick doesn't go flying across the room. He's really good about using that. When he was playing, the string of the joystick came off. And the joystick flew against the wall.

    He couldn't get it to work after that. And so, he asked me if I bought the warranty and I said yes.

    Well, I looked for where I had it registered. I pulled it up. I put in what had happened, and then I submitted it.

    I got an email back asking me to mail the product to the company. And so, I did. They said it usually takes two to five business days. And so, I was okay with that.

    Since I've gotten the replacement or the plans for any product that's electronic or something that's fairly expensive, I've never ever had a problem. I've always had good responses, and I have always had things come back in a timely manner.

    But when I was checking on the tracking, it had a little caption saying my item's been delivered. And it was received by M. Hooper. But there's nobody here by that name, and I haven't got the product. This was the first time. And so, that worried me.

    So, I called all the numbers that I thought were available and I wasn't getting any help. I emailed SquareTrade, because that's where it goes. And I said I have a situation. I explained what happened. This is a very expensive product, and I need to make sure that I get that back.

    I didn't hear anything that very same day. But the next day, I got an email from SquareTrade saying that they were sorry for the confusion. But my item was still at the shop being repaired. And it hasn't been sent back home to me because they're waiting on a part.

    I've kept track of it since it's been there. And I got an email yesterday or I pulled up the tracking. It said my item will be here by Wednesday between 8:00 and 2:00, I believe. So, that's today.

    I'm very dissatisfied with this one-time incident. So, I always tell others to buy the protection plan to make sure they have the protection.

    I got Allstate because I have a small child, and I figured it'd be a good idea to go ahead and get the protection plan because I have a small child. Well, I say small, but he's a rambunctious teenager. They explained it, for the most part, at the location. I bought it at Big Lots.

    This was the first one filing a claim at Allstate. It was for a recliner. I did it all online, and I had to upload a video and some pictures. And it was pretty smooth and simple, actually.

    I purchased a lot of protection plans from Allstate. I'm very pissed with Allstate because I have some damage to some bar stools that I bought. I paid over $400 and they won't replace them.

    I got the chairs upholstered because my pet soiled the chairs. I couldn't get the stains and the smell out. And I had to dispose of them. So, I let them know. And they said they don't cover a smell. But what about the stains? They shouldn’t take the money for the warranty if they're not gonna replace the item.

I got notice that they were going to FedEx the part needed to repair it, it will arrive on Tuesday, and the repair person will come out Thursday. Come Wednesday, the part still hasn’t arrived so called up Allstate to let them know there’s no use sending a repairman if the part needed isn’t here yet. Thursday comes and the repair person shows up anyway ‘cause he never got the message. It didn't get delivered until Friday afternoon.     When I paid for the added warranty coverage for my new tv, I was not informed about the lack of physical coverage. I hung my tv on the wall from day one and I had help hanging it. I was very careful unpacking the tv and hanging it on the wall. Then one day, about 3 months after receiving the tv, I turn it on and there is a black spot in the lower right side of the screen with several lines going out of the black spot running vertically to the top of the tv. I file a warranty claim with the manufacturer and was denied and did the same with Allstate and was denied. All I was asking was a replacement tv, but because I was denied, I am now paying for a tv I can’t watch. Therefore, I will not recommend to anyone to buy the extended warranty and you need to make it clear that you don’t cover physical damage.

    I’ve got two electric Razor scooters. They were bought the exact same day and the exact same time as a gift for my 15-year-old and my 8-year-old boys. When I got to the cash register, they told me that I can buy a three-year extended warranty for 20 something dollars.     I had some challenges filing a claim for my laptop because there was a lot of back and forth with Allstate and Costo. Allstate said it was still under the manufacturer’s warranty and directed me to Costco. On the other hand, Costo said the warranty had expired, they couldn’t cover it, and they gave me a copy of the receipt as proof that I had the protection plan on it. And it’s a good thing Costco was able to get ahold of an Allstate agent who verified the receipt and walked me through filing the claim on the Allstate portal. He sent me a FedEx shipping return label, I just shipped the laptop last Saturday, and that’s where I am at right now.

    I filed a claim for my vacuum because the charger broke. I was going to call Allstate again because the replacement vacuum cleaner they sent me is not good. I’ve had problems with it. It doesn’t suction, doesn’t pick anything up, and doesn’t charge well.

    Travis was the person who handled the replacement. I want the exact same vacuum I originally had. The original vacuum worked great. The only issue was the broken charger.

    My TV would turn on, but the screen is black. I provided the TV’s serial number when I filed my claim online. It was easy filing a claim but also time-consuming because Allstate took too long to respond.

    I had to send them a video of me turning the TV on and off to prove I wasn’t lying about it. They were supposed to respond within 24 hours, but it took them about six days. Then Allstate asked for a picture of the TV plugged in.

    At first, Allstate was okay. But then they kept giving me the runaround. The lady who first assisted me was real nice. They said it would take one day for them to decide. And then they said they had to send it to another department and they will make the decision.

    The third time I called, they said they decided. And then they sent me an email that I had to return. I returned it, and then I called them again. I thought it said it was gonna take take two days. And three days passed, nothing.

    So, I called them again and they said we have to resubmit it again. I thought the had all the information. But after all that, they did send me the refund. It took two weeks.

    I have a protection plan on a microwave oven. It was weird because microwaves last for a long time. This thing just stopped working. And I called them, the person that I talked to asked me for some information. I gave it to him.

    He said they received the information and that it'll take within one day. Couple of days passed, and I called back. The same thing happened, that I had to tell them all over again even though they gave me some kind of a case number.

    I had to explain, which I don't understand. If they give you a case number, it should be on their screen, chart, and computer. I have to explain everything every time I call, which makes no sense.

    I finally sent them an email to ask what happened. They said that it was only gonna take one day. I talked to five different people, and every time, they just say it'll take one day. After the email, they sent the voucher to buy it again because I bought it at Sam's.

    Then they sent me an email saying that they had sent the voucher. Well, I haven't gotten anything. Maybe that's why they do, they don't get back to you, and they thought I wasn't gonna pursue it.

    After everything, it took two weeks or two and a half weeks. But I'm glad that they did send me the voucher, otherwise I would still be calling.

    The customer service, probably they just tell you what they're told to do. And actually, their servers shouldn't say that. If they know it's gonna take longer, they should say they’re gonna decide and then let you know.

    I don't understand what they have to decide on if you have all the information, the receipt and everything that's within the time that it’s covered.

    I knew a lot of people had trouble with those 80-volt batteries for outdoor tools, so I purchased a protection plan for mine. Allstate Protection Plans was offered right there on the site, and the price was great. It actually worked out in the end, but doing business with them took way, way too many questions and way too much time.

    From the time I filed the claim until it was finally paid, it was months and months of doing things over and over and over again. I turned in my receipt and talked on the phone several times, and it still took months. I had already gone out and purchased another battery long before they ever paid me for the one that was no good. I wouldn’t really do business with them in the future just because it was too complicated.

    I called the company I bought the dishwasher from, and they sent referrals to have it fixed with my warranty plan. And then Allstate sent me a box that was supposed to fix it. And then they sent out a repairman to put it in. And he couldn't put it in because it was the wrong part. Nobody called me to see what was going on. They just assumed that with error number 7 and they blankly sent out a part. They figured it was gonna fix the dishwasher. But it was the wrong part.

    The guy came down, tore everything apart, pulled the dishwasher out, and it wasn't the part that he needed. So he had to put everything back together again and then leave. And now he's off on two weeks of maneuvers on National Guard because he had to do that. I don't know why they don't have backup people when someone can't follow through and do the job in a timely manner, so they can call someone else to do it. That's ridiculous. I'm not very happy with them. If I could get rid of them, I would. I tell everybody to find a different place to go buy the warranty service from.

    As a precaution against potential problems, I purchased a plan for my dryer from Allstate. I recently submitted a claim when it displayed an error code that would not clear. The proposed resolution was to send a technician to replace the heating coil, which is not what the error code is reporting.

    It has now been about two weeks since the claim was submitted, and getting service has been frustrating. An appointment was initially scheduled without clarifying with the service provider.     Cellphone stopped working. Called customer service and was told to take it to a repair shop to have it looked at and repaired. Told your customer representative that the phone was unrepairable but he insisted that I take it into a shop delaying the inevitable phone replacement by about a week. The repair shop told me the phone could not be repaired and I called back customer service with this information. He then processed a phone replacement and was told that it would be 5 days for a replacement phone to arrive. Was without a phone for seven days which was not acceptable due to the stubbornness of your representative. He stalled the replacement for some unknown reason and you should change your procedure so a replacement phone could be sent out at once and not cause a hardship. I am not happy at all on how this matter was handled.

    I got an Allstate protection plan for my eyeglasses in the store. I’m 78 years old and I haven’t had any computer training, and everything had to be done on computers. So, I had to get somebody to help me, but even that somebody who knew a little about it took forever to get through and get the application process done.     I bought a tent from Walmart. I usually don't get a plan, but it being a tent, out with the Boy Scouts in the wilderness, anything can happen. Allstate was only a few dollars more, so I went for it this time.

    I took the tent out for a camp trip. When I put it up, the zipper broke and got ripped off, and it leaked like a sieve. I had to have a blanket because it was falling all over me.

    Filing a claim was fairly easy. I just had to find an old email where I bought the plan online, and then I followed the steps there.

    The process was relatively quick. Allstate said they could repair it, but I don't think they’d get that something repaired, so they just offered me $59. It was a few dollars less than I paid for but it was worth it for me to have that and not have to deal with it, and put that money towards something else.

    I was pretty satisfied with how it was handled. In fact, I did buy another tent and put the protection plan on that one as well. If it's only $3 more, go for it, because it definitely helped me out.

    I have several plans from Allstate and purchased one on ebay along with my Samsung Galaxy 7 Watch. A few months later and it's got all kinda of issues. Samsung isn't even. Able to figure it out so I file a claim with Allstate. They tell me to go to Samsung, I tell them I already did, they just repeated go to Samsung like I was taking to a wall, I keep telling them I already did until one CSR finally listens. We troubleshoot for 2-3 hours, finally offers a "Payment" of $20 less than the cost to replace. Whatever, I accept it. They go through all the terms, I sign and accept, they mail a check, I cash it, 2 days later I get a charge back because Allstate canceled the check and just sent a random email that went to spam because it was such a generic looking email. They provide no explanation. I now owe my bank $200 from this $150 after fees from the canceled check.

    I finally get an "explanation " that is was canceled because the receipt I sent didn't have enough information, they tell me what information they need. But the receipt they say isn't good enough had all the info they are requesting. I went ahead and sent new receipt pictures with all required information and they will not respond. They have closed my warranty saying it's satisfied and will not make things right or even respond to me at all. This seems highly unethical and I am going to be looking into if I can take any legal action. I am -$200 at my bank because they accepted the recipts then rejected them after already mailing me a claim check. Can anyone advise me on anything I can do to hold them accountable?

    I have an Allstate Protection Plan which I purchased through Home Depot when I bought a new refrigerator. Plan was great until I had to use it. I registered through the portal and the only way to submit a claim is through the portal. However, the portal won't take my receipt submission. I've tried contacting them through chat and text and phone and nobody will help me. Plan is useless because I can't submit my claim. A waste of money. I do not recommend the Allstate Protection Plan.

    I have purchased many of the ALLSTATE Protection plans for TVs I have purchased at COSTCO. Recently, the 77" LG TV I purchased from COSTO with the ALLSTATE Protection plan failed due to a defective screen (the screen was turning off intermittently). After many rounds with the ALLSTATE customer service people (all of whom were working out of India and were very difficult to understand) to try to debug the issues they agreed to send a tech out. The tech didn't show on the first day but arrived on the second day. Two PCBA's were send in advance of his visit to my home. He used his remote control when he arrived for a few seconds on the TV and immediately said it was a bad screen. (I told him I told the ALLSTATE CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE THIS many times because the LG self diagnostics test showed this to be the issue.)

    So this was 34 days ago. AllState said they would now replace the TV. This is where the real shenanigans started. I live in an area of San Diego where US Postal does not delivery to the HOME ADDRESS. So when AllState said that they could only us USPOSTAL to deliver the TV, I told them that they would need another carrier to do so. They balked and said that was impossible. So they told me to give them the PO Box address I had and they would send me the tracking number in advance of the shipment.

    After days I heard nothing and followed up. They said it was not possible for them to ship a 77" TV to a PO Box (not kidding I had told them this). Said there was nothing to do and they could not replace the TV. No options. This is a $2,400 TV by the way. So I called COSTCO to get them involved. They called ALLSTATE (RUDY WAS AWESOME FROM COSTCO) and he got ALLSTATE to agree to ship the TV out to my PHYSICAL ADDRESS using UPS or FEDEX. Problem solved. He said I would get the tracking information later in the day (that was this past Friday). The next day I receive this email from ALLSTATE below: Claim #: **.

    I called them immediately to ask how they can ship via this carrier called NSD (have no idea who this is?) for a "DOORSTEP" delivery with "adult signature required" when the address they have used is a US POST OFFICE BOX??? I had JUST been over this with them and COSTCO the previous week and they had agreed to ship to the physical address with either UPS or FEDEX. They had done nothing they committed to. So I contacted them and they told me I was right and wow they would need to pull back that shipment and escalate this again to somebody who could help.

    I called COSTCO again and spent an hour with COSTCO and ALLSTATE INDIA on the phone. In the end they said nothing could be done. If I did not have an address which US POSTAL could deliver to then I was out of luck. I was left wondering how a US POSTAL TRUCK (the mailman) would even handle the box that this 77" TV comes in??? IT IS HUGE? How would he carry it? How would he fit it on his truck? So I checked with the Post Office... and they indeed came back to me saying:

    "USPS Package Size & Weight Limits

    Maximum Length: 108 inches (for most services)
    Maximum Combined Length + Girth: 130 inches

    Maximum Weight: 70 lbs (for standard services)

    A 77" TV (boxed) usually exceeds both the size and sometimes the weight limits, especially when factoring in:

    Protective foam and packaging

    Dimensions that often exceed 70 inches in length and 20+ inches in depth, pushing total girth and length over the limit"

    So I guess the ALLSTATE INDIA WARRANTY people were lying to me about this too??? It REALLY seems to me that they DO NOT want to replace this LG TV because it is too expensive. So they are blocking on every alternative. When I call COSTCO now to try to get them back involved they say that this is between me and ALLSTATE and that "COSTCO DO NOT PROVIDE THE WARRANTY SERVICE" so there is nothing that COSTCO can do? I then think to myself... wait a moment. I PURCHASED this ALLSTATE EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM COSTCO? How is this different from any other product or service I would BUY/PURCHASE from COSTCO??

    I am now giving up and will lose the $2,400 and have to buy a new TV on my own dime... but boy have I learned a lesson about Warranties and how worthless they are. And I learned about COSTCO and their warranty partners... You can buy them and pay for them... just don't expect to cash in on them if you need to because they do not back it up.

    I’ve been without my refrigerator for three weeks and have two repair appointments cancelled on the day of. Allstate coverage has been a nightmare. I bought an LG refrigerator at Home Depot and purchased the extended warranty. The fridge $2500 fridge died in year four. We call Allstate. They say “someone will come out tomorrow between 8am and 5pm”. Nope. No one came. We get an email. “Your new appointment is in 2 weeks so I wait two weeks and then all day” and no one came.

    Fridge just sitting jn the kitchen basically bricked for weeks! New email. Some will come next week! We say no! We want to replace this. This is unacceptable. If I knew that it would take weeks to get it fixed, I NEVER would have purchased this “warranty”. They say, "Ok! We will call you in 24 hours about replacement." Nope. They didn’t. Allstate is great at collecting my money and then running us in circles to try to receive what I paid for.

    I have a PlayStation Portable, Collector's Edition. I had to file a claim for it because the left joystick on it got locked up. Allstate sent me a box and I put everything I needed to put in there. They gave me a free shipping label as well. I put it on the box and shipped it out. I kept an eye on it as it went through the process. I was following them online, like their process of looking for parts. They said it should take two to three days for them to do the repair. I was amazed by that. I worked in the video game industry and it was just take it apart, unsolder the left joystick, put a new one in there, solder it in there, and screw it all back together.

    This claim was taken care of in a timely manner. In three weeks to a month, I got my PlayStation Portable back. It works perfectly now. I bought another one, and I've got insurance on it, too. Walmart has Allstate and I tell all my friends, "If you purchase something from Walmart, make sure you get the insurance on it. Even if it's the radio or something stupid, buy the insurance on it because it might break on you.“ I bought a mixer five years ago and broke it at Thanksgiving.     We purchased Allstate Protection Plans for our two tablets, TV, and computer. Filing a claim with them was pretty straightforward. I first filed a claim online, and then I got an email back with a claim number and a detailed explanation of what they were going to do. Then we sent the product back to them. They returned the product all repaired within the week.

    The other claim was done over the phone. It was the same thing as the online claim. They tried to troubleshoot the issue over the phone and it didn't work, and so we went ahead and got a return address.     Dishonest company. I bought a used printer on eBay and bought the Square tease warranty. The printer broke after a few weeks. SquareTrade gave me the runaround for a couple weeks, then asked for a print sample. I sent a sample of a spreadsheet I printed. They cancelled the warranty saying I was using it for a business. They offered to “prorate” the time that had passed and refund me the balance I had paid them. When I threatened a small claims action, they agreed to refund the purchase price of the warranty. These folks are dishonest.

When my TV failed, they offered me a cheap, outdated Insignia model—which I accepted and then returned due to its poor quality. Shockingly, they tried to send me the exact same model again. Other options they provided were older, HD-only TVs that weren’t even close to the 4K model I originally had. When I tried to explain this, they talked over me, twisted my words, and made me feel like I was the problem.

    I asked for a reasonable cash settlement, but they refused while dangling the same TV I’d already returned.     Dealing with Allstate Protection Plans has been an absolute nightmare. Filing a claim feels like going through 100 unnecessary steps—each more frustrating than the last. Every time I call, I’m told something completely different, as if no one has a clue what the actual process is. There’s zero consistency, and it’s incredibly time-consuming.     I am a field service engineer specializing in root cause diagnostics and I was denied a claim for a mechanical failure (banging and a leak) because they found bugs in the washer even though it's a known failure point for the springs to fail. It was even previously serviced by the manufacturer for the same issue loose bolts and bad springs. But they still attributed to bugs how can a bug undo bolts and cause a leak that was probably caused by the loose bolts?

    Do not go through Allstate for Apple Products. Everything you have heard that is negative is valid. I have led customer service teams and call centers for years. Clearly, they make it as difficult as possible to file a claim. They are referencing info on my receipt (once I finally got to a human), but can't find my protection plan in the system. This is with the receipt with the plan ID# in their possession. I also had to state the 20-digit receipt number 4 times and enter it manually during one phone call.

    I buy a lot of stuff on Walmart and I get the Allstate insurance with it. I filed a claim for my recliner but the website doesn’t help at all. You have to scroll down and try to find that item and try to put in the issue, you still have problems. There's no resolution. The website is not conducive at all. It took a while for the chair claim to be rectified when it shouldn't have been.

    If they take my money, then it shouldn't have taken as long as it had taken, because I have lupus and I have flare-ups. That's why I use the chair. But even before I filed the claim for the chair, I put in two claims for handbags. And I still haven't even rectified just yet. And you have to send over the pictures and all of that. And then nothing happens. I don't like how the website is set up because it's not conducive to what we pay for.

    When I called in, they kept redirecting me. So, when I called Walmart, there was only one person who gave me a phone number to actually call. And then I called. And then we started emailing and calling and it finally got a resolution. But it shouldn't have taken my son to get involved in trying to get the situation rectified.

    They ended up having to send a refund because the chairs that they were sending me had nothing to do with the chair that I have now. They were sending similar chairs but didn't have the same dynamics as the chair that I had. And they wanted to send me the Wayfair, Amazon. And then when I picked out the same chair, it went over $339. I told them my son went to Walmart and found one. They sent me a Walmart card so we can get the chair. We received it quickly.

    If I could give zero or negative stars I would, I purchased a protection plan for both of my new tvs and it said clearly in the policy that both tvs were covered from any kind of damage, while trying to file a claim on one that was damaged and supposedly covered it was denied all 3 times that I tried. The first 2 online and the last one over the phone saying that my policy didn't cover that kind of damage when the policy in my email clearly says it did, do not purchase these plans, it is a waste of time and money, they will not cover anything they don't want to cover and will just just take your money.

    My sister got me an item and bought they insurance. I missed placed the receipt and found it months down the line then when I report something and try to be a stand up person they denied my claim after telling them I couldn’t find the receipt.     I would have given you a 5 star except for the process. The customer should not have to keep calling to get from one action to the next action. There should be someone that could respond to you and be kept in the loop to assist. It took about 3 weeks to complete. However, in the end Allstate took care of my problem. Thank you.

    I bought a rocking chair from Walmart for the arrival of my grandson April 2025. The chair was used a few weeks upon his arrival 1 month ago. The rocking chair was showing signs of deflecting and began falling backwards. We filed a complaint, I received a denial back due to pre existing??? Then when I was talking to customer service they said, it was damage on arrival. I was in shock the audacity for somebody in Allstate to say something like that. There’s only one claim filed. No pre-existing claim was filed. There was no pre-existing. There was no damage on arrival. I am going back back-and-forth and they keep just sending denials like United Healthcare.. I am not giving up. I’m gonna go to the Better Business Bureau. There’s gonna be more reviews on this.

    I cannot believe that these calls are supposed to be monitored and they’re still denying it. We have sent pictures with that chair leaning all the way back receipts. I paid for warranty & this is happening!! It is especially troubling that this company provided warranty refuses to offer any resolution to replace what I paid for. The warranty is still covered til 2026. The defect happened under this coverage & yet no valid explanation has been given only denial. This kind of service is unacceptable. I want my full refund for the protection plan I paid for.

    I always purchase an Allstate protection plan when offered the opportunity at check out. It provides great added peace of mind to know that you have them standing behind your item.     RIDICULOUS that you have to go through 3 or 4 different organizations to get warrant done on lift/recliner. After a number of days, finally a service rep (Danny) came out and told us that motors needed to be ordered (5-9-25) and would put a rush on the order. No one could find info on request for parts and/or when they will be in. Because of my wife's health issues, she needs to sleep in this chair. She has had to sleep setting up. Communication on with text (terrible). Could not talk with a person. This warranty and procedures are terrible! If I could rate service, it would be sooo far down you would need a shovel just to find it.

    I started my claim on April 17th for a meta quest 3 and it is now May 14th and I am still waiting to have a replacement sent to me. I was told that my item could not be repaired and would need to be replaced. My item was sent back and received with no problem they looked it over and told me that they could not repair it and it needed to be replaced. I was told about 3 weeks ago that a replacement was being ordered and it would be sent out in 1-2 days. It is now 3 weeks later and when I contact them I am being told again oh my products will be ordered in 1 to 2 days over and over every time I have contacted them, which has been many times, within the past 3 weeks. Apparently my item has still not been ordered to be shipped out.

    I don't understand what is taking so long just to order a product and send it out to me. They had no problem taking my money when I paid for the replacement plan, and no problem at all receiving my product but for some reason it's a huge issue to get my replacement sent back and I keep running around in circles getting the same answer or will let you know in one to two days once it's been ordered multiple times now. This is totally unfair when I have been waiting 3 weeks for an item that can very easily be ordered and sent out.

    Every time I contact them I am getting the same exact answer and nobody can tell me anything different other than oh it will take one to two days to order. I don't understand why in 3 weeks it could not have been ordered and already sent back to me. I am very dissatisfied and very frustrated with the claims process considering on their website it says that they have a 5-day service guarantee. I'm really not understanding what is going on and I'm very, very upset since this could have been handled and taken care of much easier had I gone through a different company.. I attached a copy of the service guarantee so everyone can understand what my frustration is. This is not what I have been experiencing and if this is what they're guaranteeing I'm not understanding why a month later I'm still waiting for a product that I clearly should have had considering that our repair did not even need to be done and all I'm getting is a replacement.

    I purchased a portable air mattress and used it once. I stored it properly, but when I went to use it again, it wouldn’t hold air. It wasn't abused. It was used one time, and folded, deflated properly, and put back in the box. It kept leaking air, not a fast leak, but overnight it would deflate completely if someone slept on it.

    I had lost my receipt. I first checked my Visa account to confirm the purchase and it showed the warranty, so I submitted that. They still wanted the actual receipt, so I contacted Walmart. I went in with my card, and they were able to produce the receipt. After I had a copy of the receipt, I submitted it and everything went well.

    I was completely satisfied. I thought it might be a hassle without the receipt, but once I got it, everything went smoothly. In the future, if I purchase a warranty, I’ll make sure to keep the receipt.

    I got this insurance, which honestly feels like a waste of money. I had to order the part myself because they couldn't even send it to me. It's just a detergent tray. I don't need someone coming to my house to install it. It simply slides in and out. They emailed me saying they didn’t have the part and I needed to schedule a technician to come out. I ordered the part and It cost $35. It's more hassle to deal with them. Now, I need to go back and see if I can get a refund.

    This process is so aggravating. My time is worth more than $35. I’ve got a lot more going on in my life than to sit on the phone with Allstate, SquareTrade, or whatever they call themselves. I don’t have time to go back and forth with customer service asking for this or that. It’s a waste of my time.

    With all the technology in appliances now, they’re always pushing extra coverage. It’s the same with buying a new car, they try to sell you an extended warranty because of all the electronic components, saying certain things won’t be covered if something happens. If it goes out, then that means it's poorly made. That’s my opinion, but it feels like everything is a racket these days.

    I'm not impressed with this insurance, or the amount of work that I have to do. “Oh, you gotta take photos.” Fine. But then they tell me to call back. I'm not calling you to sit on the phone for another 15-20 minutes while reading a script. I get that people are doing their job, but the process needs to change when you get these stores selling Allstate Warranties for buying appliances. but if my washer or dryer broke right now, I’d have to go through their whole process because they don’t just take my word for it.

    It’s supposed to be an easy process, but it’s not when I’ve got a million things to do. I don’t have time to be on the phone. I have work, I’m helping take care of my grandbabies, and I’m dealing with my own health issues. My body’s flared up, so I’m a little agitated. And then they expect me to keep running up and down the stairs? I don’t have time for that.

    They emailed me saying that I had to call a service provider and handle all of this. I'm paying, and you're putting all the work back on me. Why don't you call the service provider and coordinate a schedule? You're putting the burden on me to go and find a service provider.

    I need to go back and ask them for a refund, which will probably be pro-rated, and it’ll take a year to get it back. They take your money, but it takes forever to get back. Then they ask, “What are you requesting? How can we make it better?’ I don’t even want to talk to them like that. They charged me upfront. I paid around $300, maybe $500. But for that price, I could buy a new washing machine if mine went out.

    I bought the warranty because that’s what they sold me. In the store, they made it seem like, “If you have any issues with your appliances, it’s an easy process to handle.” I bought a washer, dryer, and refrigerator, and I thought, Okay, I’ll get it since I don’t spend that much on appliances. I’m sure that’s what everyone thinks. “I spend so much on appliances, I might get insurance.” That’s what they play on. They also talk about technology, but I feel like, if it doesn’t work, it’s poor quality.
