When the item would malfunction, I went ahead and filed my claim. The whole process was easy, and if you register your receipt, it was really easy. My experience was consistent and fast.

The TV would be on mute but the button wouldn't go off. I went online to put in a claim. I posted a little video to describe what was happening. We sent the TV to them and it's been good ever since. The policy from Allstate is good. It gives me peace of mind because I've owned the TV for four years now.

The products did not hold up and started not feeding the paper well and not scanning properly. I found the time that I purchased, printed the receipt, went to the website and submitted the claim. I was waiting to hear back and didn't get an email. A week after the fact, I went online and could see that the paperwork that I've submitted didn't submit so I submitted it again. Overall, it was fairly simple especially being it the first time I'd ever done anything like that. SquareTrade didn't ask about the product or try and repair it. They just said, "Okay, here's your check. We'll send it to this address."

My son was playing with his tablet and when he was walking with me, I ended up stopping and he didn't. He didn't realize that I stopped. We got to the stairs, and I wanted to turn around and give him his jacket because we were about to go outside. When I grabbed him, he almost fell. Luckily, I caught him but the tablet went down the stairs. On the outside, it shows nothing is wrong with it. It's perfect. The minute we turned it on though, that's when we saw all the lines and cracks. The inside of the screen broke. I went on the Walmart app, and then followed the instructions that told me to file a claim. It was asking me what kind the tablet was. I had to look through the box because what it was showing for the kid's tablet wasn't showing for the option.
I finally found something and clicked on Android. When I finally did all the steps, it told me that my claim was being processed and I should get an email of instructions on what to do. I got the email saying that they couldn't do anything and that they'll just give me my money back even when I explained to them that I didn't want my money back. What I don't get is I pay for the tablet, but then on top of it, I'm paying $30, not including all the taxes. $30 for this insurance for them to give me back my money. When I buy another tablet, there goes another $30 I have to pay each time. I don't like that, and that's what makes me mad. It’s like I'm paying for them to just give me my money back when I could save my 30 extra.
I could spend $40 more to save that 30 that I'm handing them and just get my son another tablet. Clearly, that's what I'm gonna get. The whole purpose of putting insurance on a tablet is because I want another tablet. I don't care if it's new. It could be used. I'm dissatisfied because I didn't get another tablet. My son is autistic and that's what he uses to communicate with us. Even if SquareTrade would’ve taken my old one, just fixed the screen and then sent it back to me, I'll be happy with that too. When the tablet process failed, and they said, “Nope, sorry,” I had to go through his school to tell them I don't have money for another tablet. SquareTrade gave me my money back and I have to buy another tablet, but if he breaks it or something happens to it, they're gonna have to wait again for me to get another tablet.

When the TV went bad, I called them and it was interesting that the gentleman that I talked to was in Mexico City. But I'm okay with it. The process was pretty thorough. We had to go through a whole list of things, which I had no problem with. After all we went through, he said they would replace what I paid for the TV, which was $300 at the time. I was looking for a way to fix it and get it over with. I had no intentions of trying to get another TV or at least a recovery of the money. But the warranty covered it, so it worked out fine. We got a check in the mail within a short time.

I've always relied on a factory warranty. It's so much more of a hassle to deal with the factory though. Walmart offers the SquareTrade warranty. I purchased one a few years back and didn’t need to use it, but I've always figured that I should always have an extended warranty. This last time, my son had a pair of headphones that needed to come in and I was very happy SquareTrade took care of it. Everything was really seamless. They did a great job.
When I started the process, I wasn't clear on when the label was supposed to be sent and I wasn't aware that it was an email. It's my fault though. I initiated the claim in the beginning of March and I waited for a label to be sent to me in the mail. I sent an email, and somebody responded and said that it was part of my original email response. When I looked in there, I noticed I had the mailing label the whole time. My warranty on that product expired on 4/6 and I procrastinated on getting the item that needed to be repaired to SquareTrade's facility the day that the extended warranty on the product expired. They still honored it. I'm sure they would have anyway, because we started the process before the warranty expired.
Repair was phenomenal. The pair of headphones is back the way it's supposed to be and my son loves it. We also got it back in an expedient amount of time, which was five days after the repair was done. My son and I were very happy and I'm glad now that I have the extended warranties on the rest of my products, including three TVs. I will continue to buy SquareTrade warranty when I make any more purchases.

The SquareTrade rep I spoke with through the chat guided me into the steps on what to do because I submitted my pictures, but it didn't go through. She helped me to re-upload it. I used SquareTrade for some things that I purchased from a store that probably would not be under warranty once the 90 days or 30 days was up.

SquareTrade is a worthwhile investment. I called them when the camera on my laptop was broken. I had already spoken to other customer support teams from the computer company and Microsoft. When I spoke to SquareTrade, I had a lot of information for them. They agreed with everything that those companies had said. They said it's a hardware issue and I should send it in. They sent me the label for me to send it back. I just sent it in and they're gonna see if they can fix it or if they need to send a new one. I'm happy I'm not stuck with a problem.

Horrible experience! I will never buy any insurance through this company again! The parts for my tv did not exist so the repair shop did what they could but it still didn't work and because of technicalities. I ended up with a horrible tv that doesn't look good at all, and Squaretrade refuses to do anything about.

When I ordered the phone from the network provider, they told me I could put the warranty on it for a couple dollars a month added to my phone bill and I thought it would be a good idea to have it. When my phone had quit working right, SquareTrade replaced it. They were very prompt and sent the replacement right out. I got it the next day. I just had to put my old one back in the package they sent. It's prepaid postage and I just mailed it back to them. Having the warranty is worthwhile because I have to get a new phone once a year. The phones are $50 and the warranty doesn't cost me that much. It's really paid off for me to have it.

The Fitbit was not tracking anymore. I contacted Fitbit and they were unable to resolve the issue. We tried everything with it and so we filed the claim for a replacement. Then I was sent something in an email to pay and then I could choose the color that I wanted. It shipped out fairly quick, too. I thought I was going to get the box with a new Fitbit but it really wasn't. It was just the monitor and a band. The plan itself was $30, and then it was a $25 deductible. I should have received a new charger with it.

The screen broke on the computer so I called SquareTrade. Then I went online and downloaded a form. I filled it out and then shipped it off to them. Then three days later, I got it back repaired.

The front part of our tablet was scratched by my son. He dropped it or something. So I made a claim and sent it in. there were two weeks or so of turnaround. Now, it's back and working great. SquareTrade has been extremely helpful because our computer stopped working. We sent it to them to be fixed and it was sent back to us completely damaged. So they just replaced the whole thing. It was super easy to get it resolved. So no matter what happened, we were covered and we weren't at a loss if something happened to the computer. So, SquareTrade has been very beneficial, especially with having kids because you never know what they'll do.

Allstate Protection Plans replaced the phone. The charger port went out on it and it wouldn't charge anymore. We called and it was immediately taken care of. I loved the ease of using it. We had the phone in two days and that was amazing. We’ve used Allstate Protection before and we’ve had it for all our cell phones. They have been good and the price is reasonable.

I got SquareTrade on all of my offline purchases. I had a computer which I sent back, they fixed it, and sent it back. I had a printer that went out, they fixed it and sent it back. So, the claims have been good. I have told some of my friends that were making purchases to make sure they get the warranty and that I had SquareTrade on a lot of my things. And when I had to use it, it always came through for me.

The most recent that I used for the claim was with the PlayStation 4. The issue had something to do with the HDMI port and they ended up fixing it. The instructions are pretty clear when I go online to do the claim. They send something that says how to get it to them. The only drawback that I've experienced with them is when they do fix something, I don't recall ever being told like what was wrong and what they fixed. They just fix it and send it back. When I sent in my Apple Watch, it was the same process. They tell you to send it, you send it, they fix it, and it comes back. But I've saved a lot of money with them because the manufacturer’s warranty was already gone when I had claims for the PlayStation and the Apple Watch.

I was cleaning a desk and I hit my watch at the right angle on the desk and the entire screen popped out. Fitbit was saying that I was past the manufacturer's warranty. I purchased the SquareTrade warranty through their website but for some strange reason, they had no record of it. So, I found the information for the SquareTrade warranty and I went through them. It was a very simple process and I was very pleased with it. I got my watch replaced very quickly. It took roughly five business days.

The PlayStation wasn’t brand-new but it wasn’t saving. SquareTrade had to replace the hard drive. The process was great and we got very good communication of what was going on. We shipped out the PlayStation and they said they sent it back. I was very impressed. So, it made us even think more to get it for anything else that we would buy in the future, because the process went so well. It took probably two weeks but it seemed quicker. We've never had a claim in many insurance coverages with SquareTrade but it’s worth something.

They always fix everything that we've needed fixed, or they've always done what they can to help us. The process has been simple and pretty easy. Usually, you just go online and fill out the paperwork. The reps are always nice. Everyone is super helpful enough.

The laptop came out good. My daughter spilled coffee on the keyboard so it wasn't working. Now it is. But on the front screen on the left corner, there was some cover on that screen and a small piece is missing. I didn't reach back to Squaretrade because it is a hassle to send the laptop back and bring it back. But I would encourage everybody to buy a warranty. It's helpful to have it. For extra three years, it's worth it.

I bought three iMini Pens and two of them have gone bad. I used Squaretrade and the lady I talked to was very professional. She took care of me right away. Squaretrade sent me $17 back for them but I can't buy them for less than about $30 now. I bought SquareTrade so when the iMinis go bad, I can get them fixed or replaced but I couldn't do either one of those. I'm gonna lose about $12 on each one of those plus the shipping cost. It's better than getting nothing but it's not enough money to replace what I bought.

The printer was acting crazy and would not work properly. It kept on dropping all my connections with the Wi-Fi, and then the top feeder wouldn't feed. It's just a little over a year old, and I filed a claim. When I bought the protection plan, I didn't have to do anything to register it which was really nice. But the receipt was really hard to understand. I got information on the store receipt and went to that place online and then they sent me to someplace else and then I was with Allstate. I had no idea who I was dealing with. I never bought the protection through Allstate but the claim went through and I got reimbursed. They prorated it so I didn't get a full replacement. But it was okay since I got a year or two use out of the previous printer. The process took about 10 days. Then I went out and bought another printer.

I bought a protection plan for a Hewlett Packard printer from Staples. When the thing that moves to print stopped moving, I put in a claim. For some reason, when you go to the SquareTrade website, it tracks everything. It asked me for a receipt so I called Staples and Staples was able to pull it up through my rewards account. Once I submitted that, the check came in three days. It was very fast. The protection plan is incredibly valuable. I buy them all the time and I usually buy it at the store. I didn’t realize that you could buy it straight and I'm going to go check that out.

I've had a lot of things with SquareTrade, including a television and Bose headsets and speakers. I don't feel that the cost is less expensive, but it's competitive. I've also enjoyed using it. There was never any issue. Everything's been positive.

Squaretrade is good to have. Since my daughter has been playing for so long on her Amazon Fire HD tablet, it had a crack on the back cover and it separated on the tablet and the screen. I had to make the claim and try to fix it before the warranty expired. Everything was easy to do, but it was a little inconvenient since we don’t have a printer that I could use. I had to put the format in my thumb drive, take it to UPS, and print it. If I didn't have to pack everything in a box and try to send it out, it would be perfect to have this warranty. It would also be great if we can just have a QR code and take the item to UPS or FedEx. They can scan the QR code and everything else is on there then it would be handled.

We did a claim on a TV and because it's a known problem with the LG TVs, SquareTrade was not gonna cover it. It was LG’s problem and they wouldn't cover it either. The individual we worked with at SquareTrade was reasonable. However, my case was escalated, and the person that it was escalated to did not handle it right. They all communicated well, but nobody was willing to handle it. It was given back to the lower level person who gave us the information we needed to communicate with LG. That was the nice part of it. We thought, “Okay, it’s gonna be handled,” then LG said it’s because it was out of their year warranty. It wasn’t that much out of their year warranty.
The whole reason we went with SquareTrade was because we have had good success with them years ago. We've had a TV replaced once and we had another one fixed. We thought with the biggest TV we ever bought, we'll get SquareTrade again. That made the most sense to us. When we realized what was going on with our TV claim, we thought, “Okay. Well, they'll send somebody out to fix it” and then, no. Now, where we really needed it with the most expensive TV ever, we didn't get helped. We would not recommend them.

When the $150 memory on my computer went bad, SquareTrade took care of it. However, when I bought the protection plan and as soon as I got it, I didn't know I had to log into the website to set it up. A few years down the road, I finally had to set it up, and it was a pain in the butt to do. Otherwise, once I got it all figured out, it was all good and easy. I did all the stuff for it and sent it in. They got back with me and they sent me a check to replace the memory. It only took two days and it helped out. Now, I've been buying the protection plan on everything I buy. It’s been $15 and $10 on the insurance and I'm covered. It’s well worth it to get it.

My Apple Beats speakers stopped working and the metal part on the outside started turning a rusty color. I logged online and filled out the form. It wasn't very difficult, but I wasn't impressed. The process wasn't that great. I couldn't print out the label. Apart from that, as I answered the questions in the system, it automatically came up that I needed to ship the product out for repair, and then would ship it back. That was simple, but I would prefer if they would have just sent me out a new product rather than me having to take my time out to ship it out and then they repair it.
My husband purchased the protection plan as a gift for me, but I wouldn't purchase it again. Every time we buy something, we've always gotten protection. When I do it with Walmart, we could just send it there, then they either ship back the item or send me a gift card. It's always been very simple. With Squaretrade, I had to pack the product, find a box, try to get the label printed and then go out of my way to ship it out. I understand there are a lot of scammers out there, so a lot of false claims are being put out, but for me, it was frustrating.

The availability of the resolutions is based on several factors, such as the cost of repair versus the purchase amount of the device, whether we can source a comparable item within the limit of liability, and so on. For Mail-In repairs, we guarantee a 5 business day repair from the day your device is received. This resolution allows the customer to fix their item without having to take any extra steps. When the screen on an HP laptop was bleeding, I had a hard time submitting the claim. The company couldn't get me a label. They had to mail it to me. I also had to call three times. Other than that, it went fine. Squaretrade fixed the laptop and returned it very promptly. It came back dirty though.

My breast pump broke down at the beginning of this year, so I had to contact Squaretrade. They couldn't replace my pump. Instead, they just sent me a check of equivalent value. It was amazing. I have a lot of stuff that I had insurance from Squaretrade. I usually get it from the store where I usually get my products from. They explain it briefly at the store, but not in detail. I read the brochure, which doesn't have a lot of information in it, so most of the time, I end up looking it up online. The brochure needs to provide more explanation as to what the insurance entails. I know it's good because I've used it. For other people though, it'll be more beneficial for them to read through what the insurance entails and what exactly it covers.

My daughter dropped the laptop and spilled some Dr. Pepper on the keyboard. I sent in a claim and they fixed the keyboard, which was good. But it's still kind of laggy and the speakers still crackle. When you send in a claim, you should make sure they're very specific on what they have going on with their computer. Because the first time that we sent our computer in, SquareTrade sent us a box with a printout of a sheet that we had to fill out to send with it. This last time, we had to kind of find something to cobble together and send out. Overall, I'm satisfied. But there wasn't really much explanation as to why they didn't fix the speakers and why the hard drive would be so laggy still.

It's nice to have asset protection. I signed up for the insurance through Walmart and when my Samsung J7 Prime phone was broken, I claimed some warranty. It was streamlined and easy to do. I had to have my original receipts and I had to give my information, including my name and address. I had to tell them what happened as well. Once I printed off the shipping label they gave me, I shipped them my old phone. As soon as they received it, I got a confirmation email saying that, “Hey, we received the device. Now, we're going to send you a replacement device.” Within two to three days, they were supposed to send me a replacement device. I got a tracking number from FedEx. I tracked it, watched it, and it said it came. I came home that day to see it, but it was never there.
My dad, who was home at the time, said that no package ever came. No one knocked on the door either. They said my package was delivered to me, but I never received the cell phone. It wasn't on the side door, in the backyard, in the doorway or in the mailbox. It's not even FedEx’s fault that the package didn’t arrive. I imagine someone’s seen the FedEx guy come to the house, and they saw a little square box. Normally, a little square box is a cell phone. I went on to the email that SquareTrade sent me, and I went onto the tracking thing. It said to report any damages or losses. It was unfortunate, but I wasn’t gonna fool around and wait. I got a different phone. I wasn't completely upset because I have a phone, but at the same time, I have a $130 device that someone got for free.

I bought a cassette player with the radio on it and also a CD player. I was really excited when it showed that Walmart had one and I thought it might be better to get the warranty just in case, which I did. But I was disappointed when I called up. They told me they couldn't give me the same one back, so they said they were gonna give me the money instead. I really wanted another one, but they said that it sounded like the cassette player was broken. But the rep who helped me couldn't have been any nicer. He was trying to figure out the best thing for me to do if I should go find somewhere to fix it and then we just decided on the money. I'm pretty satisfied.

Sam's Club asked me if I wanted to get insurance. I said, “Sure. Yeah” because you never know what could happen. They said Allstate covers the TV. I went ahead and got it. I had an issue a couple of weeks ago. I called Allstate and they said I'm supposed to get a check for the TV and they would send it in a week. I never got it yet, but they resolved everything by the way it was supposed to be.

They didn't just say "We'll get the TV and give me this". They said "look, it should be right here, it should be right here".

I have purchased SquareTrade for a laminator and I’ve filed one claim on it. It started making weird noises and not laminating correctly, so I sent it in and they weren't able to fix it. It was too hard to pinpoint what was going on with it, so they gave me a refund, which was exactly what I paid for. But I wasn't able to get in contact directly with the manufacturer. And when I originally reached out to SquareTrade, they said that my item was still under warranty and I could talk to the manufacturer. But there was no way to get ahold of them, so I ended up living with it for a little bit. Then once the year was over, I contacted SquareTrade.

We had a great experience working with you. You made it easy to send back. But Let Me Tell you what happened when you sent it back. 1st of all FedeX did not bring to my door. We are very lucky to find it at the wrong mail box. We live in a mobile home park. Anyone could of grab it. My neighbor seen it and let us know. I was supposed to sign for it!! I did not!! But we did find it!! It's still in the box. If there is anything wrong with it. I'll let you know. Fedex sucks when delivering packages here.????

The bottom half of the screen of my Samsung Galaxy S7 went black. The only downfall of SquareTrade's process was that we had to look back on our credit cards to figure out when we bought the phone. They said that in a couple of months, the warranty would have expired. SquareTrade told me that the issue was the motherboard. But, the parts were gonna cost more than the phone's worth. So, they credited us and I went to buy a new phone. We ended up spending more but we have their insurance on the new phone.
People should always use a credit card or have some kind of account because if I ever went and paid cash, I would be screwed because there's no real way of tracing when I bought it after I left with the receipt. SquareTrade should give a card with their warranty. That way, I can keep that card that has the identification number of whatever device I got insurance on and I can always trace it.

I'm greatly satisfied with SquareTrade. When I filed a claim for one of my televisions, the rep was so helpful and the delivery of the replacement was really fast. It only took about three days. The guy also gave me all the information and when the appliance was going to be delivered. He told me that before I accept the product, I had to look on both sides of the carton if there was some damage. Then, if there was some damage, I shouldn't accept it. He also told me that once I opened it, I should turn it on. And if there was problem, on the two days, I should let him know then they would it send back to the manufacturer and send another one.

The warranties and extended warranties that I've had with SquareTrade have pretty much done what they say they were going to do. They could fix the item, replace it, or give me a refund. If I submit a claim online, it goes through on the same day. I also talk to them on the phone to do that and as long as I can get in contact with a human, it goes quickly. They’re straightforward with what they do and how they do it, too. So for me, everything was awesome and I tell people about them all the time. I'd say that if they’re going to buy something and need an extended warranty on it, or if the seller offers SquareTrade, they should get it if they have the money to get it.

SquareTrade was okay at the beginning. But apparently, my computer could not be fixed, so that was a bummer. I also had to call to find out whether or not my computer was fixed and it took them over a week and a half to get back to me on anything. And by then, I had a feeling that my computer should have already been fixed because I sent it over before. By week two, I was concerned that I didn't get anything about it. Other than that, I received the Walmart gift card. I requested a check to use it at a different store, so it wasn't confined to just Walmart, and I didn't get that either. But I've had my computer fixed there before, so I'm not really upset. And as far as customer service goes, every time I called, my experience with them was pretty good.

Squaretrade has saved my life. I'm not super careful with my laptop. I keep it in my backpack and when I'm at school, my backpack gets tossed around with all the other backpacks. One time, I had to send my laptop in to get the headphone jack fixed. At another time, the screen broke. I had a week off of school, and I didn't need to be doing schoolwork. I sent it in and it was back right in time for me to go back to school, so it was great.
Both times I sent it in, I had to call someone about it. They were always super helpful. Both times went well and were very smooth too. When I got my laptop back, it always worked perfectly fine. My brother has a much more expensive laptop than I did and did not insure it. He should have bought the insurance ‘cause he can’t afford to be getting new laptops every couple of months. His laptop got ruined a couple of months after he got it, so now he has the insurance too.

We bought a TV that came with the SquareTrade bundle and we've had SquareTrade for years on other TVs. We've filed claims and have had great service from them. The process that you go through when you file a claim is a pain but it's worth everything that you go through because they cover it.
Two years ago, we had a lightning strike and the charge came through the cable and blew out a VIZIO TV which was a 50-inch flat screen. It had the SquareTrade protection plan on it and I called them. I know we offshore a lot of stuff but I got very exasperated. I worked for a telephone company for 30 years and when I can't understand somebody, it drives me nuts. But after going through this explanation, taking pictures and doing this and doing that, we got a check for the exact amount that we paid for the TV, less the tax. I was able to go buy another television set to replace it. The same thing happened with this 75-inch VIZIO that we just replaced. They sent us a check for exactly what we paid for it, less the tax, and we went and bought the new one.

I got a protection plan for a 70-inch Vizio TV from Costco because of the size of it. When we bought it, Costco said there was an extended warranty and it was with SquareTrade. It was pretty good and they were fast to respond to the emails, if I email them. I had a TV that broke down and I had a protection plan for that. SquareTrade could not fix that so they gave me a new one. The only thing is I didn't get the same quality of TV which I had before. Other than that, this is the second TV I have with SquareTrade. My previous one was also with them. Having the protection plan is valuable. My experience with SquareTrade was good. The TV started to shadow from the bottom up. The shadow just kept growing and it was about halfway up the screen of the TV so I called SquareTrade. They wanted pictures. After they got those, it was about 24 hours or so, they said that the TV was faulty. They sent a check and off I went. I was impressed. I haven't been happy with SquareTrade. I got an email that said to call this person who would service my TV and I did but that person said they couldn't do the job. I got back to SquareTrade on the email and asked them to provide another person. They did and I called that person. He has a daytime job and he could do the job when he gets off work but it wasn't gonna work. I emailed SquareTrade back and said I need another. They finally gave me a good one and he came out very diligently. But the TV has a problem that the parts weren't sent for.
SquareTrade was gonna send another technician out and the people that they designated didn't have an idea what they were coming out for. I reached back out to the other technician that had put in the parts that SquareTrade sent and he said he was gonna resend his report. Then, SquareTrade contacted me back and said my TV was not gonna be repairable and that they would replace it with a new TV. They gave me a Westinghouse TV for an option and I asked for other options. They said they would have to have another department look up some stuff and get me another option. I almost am not gonna buy things from Costco because I don't want the warranty to come through SquareTrade. It's disappointing. The first time I've ever had them was on a little tablet and it was good but the service has gone down. My experience this time wasn't what I expected.

I did a claim on our game controller and then on the futon couch, ‘cause it had broken, and then on one of the TVs. All of them came from Walmart and I had no idea I had the protection plan on them until I went back and checked over something. They said, “Well, no, if you can't return it, then you can do that ‘cause you got the protection plan.” They were non-replaceable things, so SquareTrade just sent me a refund. It was good overall, really easy to use and quick.

When the internal circuit boards my Vizio 65-inch TV ended up having an issue and it kept power cycling, I called the Costco concierge. They created a claim number then they forwarded everything over to SquareTrade and put me in touch with them. From there, I just called SquareTrade any time I had any questions. When SquareTrade gave me a call, I had to go through the troubleshooting steps before they would finish processing the claim. Once we went through the troubleshooting steps, and they were able to confirm the problem then they put in a request for replacement parts.
Everything only takes one to two business days. However, they couldn't get replacement parts, so they offered me some replacement TVs, which did not meet the specifications of the TV they were replacing. Now, we'd gone to reimbursement. Having SquareTrade is very valuable, considering I had my last TV for 10 years with no problems, and then I finally decided to upgrade to something more modern versus this television that had a problem within its first three years. I'm very grateful that I purchased the protection program.

I submitted a claim on 2/18/21 for my TP-Link router which kept dropping the wi-fi signal. My claim was reviewed and approved within a couple of hours. I was advised that I would receive payment to cover the inoperative router and that it usually takes about 5 days for the payment to process. I received a check in the mail 6 business days later. I've purchased a lot of protection plans from SquareTrade. The most recent item I got it for was for a gaming chair. On the consumer's website, they only showed me one protection plan. In that protection plan, not the entirety of the chair was covered. It was just the wires. When I called in, the gentleman said I didn't buy the other protection plan which covers the whole thing. If I would have known that, I would have bought the other one. When retailers explain the policy, they don't explain it correctly but when SquareTrade employees explain it, they explain it thoroughly.

I had trouble filling out the forms. I called the customer representative and she assisted me by resetting something. It worked and I filled out the form. She was nice. I had some confusion and they took the time to speak to their supervisor to make sure that I could process the transaction. I was one day over the two-year warranty but they gave me a one-time forgiveness thing and I was very thankful for that. Before even submitting the claim, it suggested whether or not I wanted a reimbursement which was cool and I got the reimbursement.

I had a protection plan on the iPhone 6s Plus and I sent it back to SquareTrade. I got that two years ago and when I was trying to put insurance back on it at the store, they wouldn't allow me to do it. They said I would have to do it through SquareTrade, which was something that was monthly, and that was going to be a little more expensive. I also got SquareTrade on a TV, my watch, on another phone I have. I gotta give them some credit and the plan is great because at least you get a second chance to obtain something, and hopefully you can do better with it this time around.
But the unfortunate thing is that if you got something from them and it’s 91 days out, things would start getting rough. For example, I got a 50-inch Philips TV from them that's still in the box and if it goes out again in 91 days, they'd use the same criteria they did for the phone, if it applies the same way to the television, so that means I paid three years worth of warranty but, with the refurbished TV, I could only get 90 days on it unless I decide to go out of my pocket. Other than that, I’m satisfied with SquareTrade and I know it can’t always be the way you want it sometimes. The recovering process was also very easy and I'm happy with them.

The pneumatic piston of the Big Boy’s office chair gave out. It stopped being able to bring it up and it would gradually drop down and be too low. Eventually, it stopped working altogether and that was when we called about the insurance on it. We called the store and they told us to call the number in our little pamphlet they gave us. We got ahold of a representative and he asked us to send them pictures, which was like asking us to cross the Danube, because we're dinosaurs. But we finally managed to get a picture to him. SquareTrade got the picture and the copy of the receipt, and they said they would get back to us in a day or two.
After two weeks, they didn't get back to us and we had to call them. They looked it up and said, “We have everything. Give us a chance to process it.” After that, it took about two days for them to say we were approved. They called us and said everything was approved, and that they would send us an email. As soon as they got everything else approved, we got a check. The whole process took about a month.

I am generally skeptical of insurance plans. My son is hard on electronics so we purchased. After a drop that cracked the hinge and a battery that would not hold a charge I went online to start a claim. There was a problem with their link so I initiated a chat and then started the claim on the phone. The process was exceedingly simple. No hard questions trying to invalidate warranty - they just emailed me the mailing label. I put the package in the mail and quickly received confirmation of its en route status.
Within a couple of days, we received a package in the mail. It was the repaired computer, with a "laptop repair summary" and a "laptop inspection checklist" signed by a technician and a final inspector. Wow - they not only repaired the items I identified but also repaired peripheral items (that I did not know to mention), and explained every one of their repairs in the parts repaired/replaced section. I was blown away - this is how customer service is supposed to be - I am a believer now.

The process with Allstate took me 15 minutes to do online and then, they contacted me and let me know what they were gonna do to send the iPad back. We had an ice storm so it took about a week later than the original date that they were going to return it. But it wasn’t anybody's fault. It was because of the weather. But even with the ice storm, the turnaround time was good. I was pleased with the process. I didn’t have to talk on the phone to anybody. The protection plan is as valuable as the iPad. I usually don’t want to buy a warranty like that but I'm very happy that I bought it.

The TV wouldn’t turn on. The light would just keep blinking. I had the receipt, so I looked it up under the account. I called SquareTrade and the lady walked me through the process. It was pretty easy. She gave me a check for it because it couldn’t be fixed. She said that was the best option for that.

8 Mar 20 bought a new coffee maker from an Ebay merchant for $22. Ticked the box to buy a 2-year warranty from Square Trade for another $2. It stopped working near the end of Jan. So it lasted 10 months, and 3 of those it was in deep storage, so it lasted only 7 months of actual use. 2 Feb I registered a claim with the manufacturer (Bella-Sensio) as it was still under a 1-year warranty. They requested a string of data from me, including a photograph of the bottom of the unit, which I returned the same day. 15 Feb It was clear they blew this off, so I filed a claim with Square Trade-Allstate. Again I had to submit a string of data, which I returned the same day. A rep said they needed 2 hrs to make a decision.
20 Feb I followed up with Square Trade. It was clear to me they had lost the email I submitted, because I was asked again to submit a receipt. (Square Trade is a company actively selling extended warranties in Ebay and Amazon.) I had to explain again that online purchases do not have receipts, that I provided instead a scan of my credit card statement showing the date of purchase, the merchant identity, and the amount I paid, (not to mention the Square Trade warranty purchase next to it). End result was rejection. So after buying a Square Trade warranty for maybe a dozen things over the years, and finally registering a claim, I come to find their service is a scam.

Thrilled it was easy to call. Exceptionally blessed that the technician was kind, patient and well-informed. Couldn't have gone better. Printing the label, shipping, quick service, quick return could not have been better. However, it would have been nice to receive a bit more feedback on what the problem was. Also, I was never assured that my info was 1) kept safe, and, 2) was immediately permanently deleted after the repair was complete (I did receive the old HD back after the repair). While it is a personal computer, my employer IT was -not- thrilled I didn't wipe the HD before sending it in.

I purchased a protection plan for the projector screen. I liked the fact that it was a warranty for what I purchased and it is very valuable because I thought I had to buy another projector. At the time, I didn't even realize I had bought the insurance. But when I got in touch with them, they said they were going to replace it. The claims process was very quick and easy. I just answered a couple questions and I was done. I'd tell others to always buy the insurance. Don’t bypass the button that says, “You don’t want the insurance?”

SquareTrade is worth getting and the process, in my experience, was quick and easy. I submitted a claim because there was an inner lining within the microwave that, every time we use it, it would spark, and then it caught on fire. I called in and I spoke to a rep and he asked what was wrong and then went through the process from there. They asked for a serial number, the model number, what issues and when I noticed the issue. They reimbursed it. They said we could get the store credit or check and we just did it by check.

The keys on the board of the laptop had an issue. I called SquareTrade to submit the claim and it was pretty easy. They fixed it the first time but it was not a complete fix. We sent the laptop in the second time. They asked me to print a label, then I printed and delivered the laptop to FedEx. Later on, FedEx texted me and said that I had a shipment coming and to make sure someone was home. Then, they delivered it to my home. When I opened it, I checked again if the laptop keys were fixed or not, and they fixed it completely. All in all, I was very satisfied with my experience and I like that they made everything very smooth. The protection plan also eased all the concerns for using the laptop.

I got SquareTrade for two items - a desk and a chair. When I was at Staples, they pitched it and it seemed like a really good idea in case something happened, so I bought it. The customer service of SquareTrade was fantastic. The whole procedure was very easy to do, to upload pictures and show them what happened to the damage. I was reimbursed within a week and I highly recommend them. It was the best customer service I've ever received.

I couldn't even get the TV to set up. It wouldn't go past where you do the start with the English. So we went through all the steps of resetting it. AllState even sent me to the tech people on the Onn company. I talked to them and they tried to go all technical stuff. They concluded that it was something malfunctioning in the TV. They found it was better to refund my money because I had gotten it really at a good deal at Walmart. The rep informed me that it would cost extremely a lot having a repairman come to me because he said they charge $100 an hour. They refunded my money and everything was taken care of. They did a very good job doing it. They were very kind about everything. They tried every troubleshooting thing they could to get it to go. I had a good experience. As far as the warranty goes, they did what they were supposed to do and I was pretty satisfied with it. For the price, it’s worth getting.
AllState tried their best to help me. But it was difficult doing the claim online. So I had to call and talk to them. They seemed to not be bothered with any question I asked them. They weren't bothered to deal with me or to make sure that I had everything clear in my mind. When I said I'd like to get the TV repaired instead of my money back, the rep explained how they paid you back. They made everything clear to my understanding.

I purchased a television from Wal-Mart and was asked to purchase the insurance they offered because UT was a television. Thought it was a good idea but it was a mistake. They don't inform you that the insurance is only good for 30 days and it covers nothing.

We submitted a claim because the TV was intermittently blacking out. I contacted Costco and they gave me a number for SquareTrade. I contacted that number. The representative I spoke to started to do a couple of tests on the TV and he started to process a claim. I received an email and they asked me to send some pictures of the problem. After that, I spoke to a supervisor and then he was the one that contacted or set up a service call. Somebody came out and serviced it and he did a report. After the report was complete, they suggested that we get another TV. They sent me an email letting me know that they were going to give us another TV. They sent one that was comparable to the one we had. I selected the one that they told me and then they arranged the delivery time. I would recommend having a protection plan.

My husband bought a cellphone and then he had gotten some earplugs. He got the warranty for them. But the cellphone wasn't working well so he took it back to the store. The personnel there said, “Oh, no. We cannot exchange it for you. You gotta call this other number. You let them know what's going on so they could exchange it for you,” which my husband did. He called them and one of the representatives said, “I'm gonna give you this number, and they could go ahead and replace it for you right there and then at the stores.” So we went back. It was back and forth several times. It was a very bad experience and very upsetting.
Then at first, one of the managers that we spoke to at that time, told my husband, “I can do this for you. But I only need you to bring me the back of the cellphone.” So we came back home but we weren't able to find it. By the time that we went back to the store, that manager was off of her shift. So it was this different manager and she was just denying everything. She was like, “No, there's no way that she could’ve told you that because we can't do that.” I even told her, “No, we were here. This is her name.” I told her how she looks.
She said, “I know who she is. But it's off of her shift already and I don’t know. There's no way that she could have told you this because we can't do that, and she knows that.” We were like, “Wait a minute. We ain’t playing games right here.” Why am I gonna be back and forth from one site to another based on a lie like this? We had a very bad experience with her. They need to have other personnel that will provide good customer service for customers. Supposedly, they were also gonna mail another cellphone but my husband hasn’t received anything.

I lost the documentation to do an online claim. I could not find a telephone number in order to contact Square Trade customer service. In order to get Square Trade to contact me I disputed the charge for my insurance. Square Trade just refunded the money without contacting me. After a couple of days passed, I found a customer service number. All went well after that. I was satisfied and pleased by the quality and ease of the process to get my cell phone repaired.

The first part of the submission of my claim went okay. I was able to find the old email, clicked in. When I began to enter the claim, I put the wrong model. The claim was on a Fitbit and I put the wrong model of Fitbit on there and was unable to change it. So, I chatted with a representative. That representative went into the system and said he changed it. I went through, finished the claim and filed the claim. Then, went back to readdress the claim but it was still on the wrong model and that happened two more times. So that was three different representatives who changed it and then it still was not reflected in the system. But I received the correct model. My expectations were not quite met because it added stress to the process to the point that I decided not to purchase the coverage on the new product. But the representatives were helpful and responsive. I did everything over chat and that was easy enough. It just wasn't very successful.

My Wife dropped and cracked her screen to her Galaxy S8 plus and I filed a claim with Square Trade and they approved my claim within 24 hours. They gave me locations of their repair shops and I got the screen replaced with no deductibles which is common with other insurance plans. Highly recommend

I had an okay experience with them. But they need to let the consumer know more information on what exactly is the warranty for instead of just asking if you want to purchase a warranty. Because when the Xbox controller stopped working, they said it wasn't in the plan coverage. So they sent me back the $5 for the warranty. That was part of what it was for. I recently had a claim for the bread machine. The central pan where the ingredients are put has a pin in the middle and that came loose. The pin went all the way down and it crushed the pan as well. When it's spinning, the whole thing is scratching everything and it's messy and impossible to bake. The machine is working, but not the pan. SquareTrade sent me an email and I replied to that with the survey. I got an instant refund for the price of the machine, which I had to choose if I wanted a check or a Walmart gift card. I got an electronic Walmart gift card. It was nice. I had another problem with the popcorn machine about two or three months ago and it was fast and quick as well.

I don't usually buy a warranty, but when Costco offered an essentially 'free' extended warranty with Square Trade, I signed up. I am glad I did. My LG OLED TV had a bad panel and LG offered to replace the panel, but I would have to pay for the labor. Square Trade extended warranty paid for the labor cost in full. I certainly recommend getting the Square Trade warranty.

I bought a laptop from Office Depot and put the warranty on it. They didn't give me the opportunity to talk to SquareTrade but they gave me a brochure on the warranty options I had. My problem is that this is the second time I've had to send the computer under the same warranty for the same two problems. I don't get why the computer itself wasn't replaced after twice it had to have the hinges repaired and the plastic around the screen had to be replaced a second time. I'm beginning to question the quality of the repair when it was done the first time on the computer.

My son's Razor electric scooter broke down and we started doing the claim, which was no problem. I sent an email and I filled out a form. They gave offers like either cashback or bringing it to a person to have it fixed. I would have appreciated it if they told us who to bring it to but they just said to bring it to somebody. I asked my son which option he wanted and he said the check back and we'd fix it ourselves. Everything went okay but I haven't received the check that was promised yet. Also, the thing is I never got an actual SquareTrade contract, which is something I would prefer, and on the contract, it should state where to go to exercise the warranty. It took me quite a lot of research until I figured out where to exercise the warranty.

I bought a Square Trade warranty on eBay to cover a drone part I bought from an individual on ebay. The drone part was listed as new but appeared to be used and was defective. When I tried to use the ST warranty they rejected my claim and told me I had to go to the manufacturer of the part for a refund. SO WHAT DID I PAY square trade FOR? Then when I tried to close my account they refused and said I had to go to ebay for a refund. When I called ebay they told me I had to go to square trade for my refund. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. Two months ago, I submitted a claim for my TV and it was a hard experience because it's hard to follow up. They said I had to talk to a specialist and I had to call them. I waited for a long time to get a specialist on the line. Then, they kept on asking for more proof. I kept on sending and the claim finally went through. They approved it. They gave me options like fixing it or giving me money for the value on today's market. I picked the latter because I just got a newborn in my house so I don't want anyone to come to my house to fix it.

I have a protection plan for an 18-inch herringbone chain. I was trying to get another herringbone and I saw the difference between what mine looks like and the one that was on display. I hadn't had mine over a year but it was already kinked up and the shine wasn't there. Even when I tried to clean it, it didn't look good. It didn't look like it was a good quality piece of jewelry. I went online and Allstate told me that they will email me a package to mail the claim in. About two weeks later, they emailed me back and said they had made a mistake. They said I should just send the package in and I could download the shipping stuff. I had to wait about two weeks for them to get back in touch with me to let me know that they weren't sending me a package so I could return it to them. But when I sent the necklace back, it was fine. They tried to get the kinks out and the necklace was ready within a week.

SquareTrade is a reputable insurance company. It warranties a lot of technology products, especially used ones. That gives a little bit of comfort in case something should go wrong with the product, you'd be able to call them and see what they wanted to do about it, maybe repair it or replace it, or give a couple of bucks back on a used item. Just like insurance, you want to be protected a little bit. It came with some information and you read it, then print it and put it away, and hope you don't have to use it. In some cases, it gives you real peace of mind.
We bought a new Mr. Coffee about a year and a half ago and it gave up a few days ago. We had to get another one. We pulled out the warranty and called SquareTrade. We were transferred to somebody and they said that they wouldn't want to repair it unless we were insistent on that. But they sent us a prorated amount of 20 bucks for the coffee pot. I told them to just take it and we'd go and buy another one. It was as simple as that. When we bought the new coffee pot, we got a two-year warranty with it instead of just the one-year warranty that came with it just in case something would befall it.
I believe in SquareTrade. I've used their warranty processes on several items over the years. This was one of the rare occasions when we actually had to call them about it and it was a very easy and pleasant experience. The people were just the way you would want somebody to say, “Jeez, we're sorry, this happened,” and offered us a couple solutions, one of which was pack it up and send it back.

We're in Hawaii, so it's very hard to find repair people here that are good and honest. On top of it, we don't have a lot of sources for repair. Manufacturers don’t make things last anymore, so it's nice to have a warranty for additional protection on the product we're buying ‘cause things happen and that'll make them last, and so we got SquareTrade for our LG washer and dryer. We've submitted claims and those were handled greatly. They sent in the parts really fast, and then they worked diligently to find the right repair people that would come out where we're at. Usually, they don't wanna come out on the other side of the island. But they were able to do that for us. They did fantastically.

I bought a bathroom vanity through Wayfair and they offered the service on it. It was broken and they replaced it. They sent me a second one. When it got here, I saw a dent and reported it. Then my granddaughter asked if she could put her dollies in there and I agreed. She then told me to look at it. It was literally cracked from the front of it, right straight through. They used paint to cover it up. I have a feeling it's the manufacturer's fault. Wayfair offered a refund, which was fine, but they wouldn't refund via SquareTrade. I was out the 20 bucks, although that was not SquareTrade’s fault. I've been putting insurance on things for years through them and they're great.

I have a pair of Jbuds that I got for my cell phone. The rep from Walmart asked if I wanted the protection plan that came with it and I got one. My Jbuds were working perfectly fine until I put them in the charging case. One day, they just decided not to work anymore. I went through the receipt, it led me to SquareTrade and the claim went very well. Having a protection plan is very valuable for a product like your earbuds or anything else that’s important to you. When they just stop working like that, you have that plan to back you up.

I hope that I did the right decision to get the money back instead of having my earphone fixed. I had good virtual customer help on the app, and it’s worked great. The choices were whether to fix the product, to get money back or a third option. They explained to me I can get the gift card. Eventually, I have to go online and try to print some things. It's gonna be a code that I can use when I come in to the store. All in all, SquareTrade works well, but they have to explain a little more about the options to know what to choose.

The claim was straightforward. I just clicked through the online process on the website, and it told me to find a local Apple Repair Center. I went through them and then submitted a receipt for reimbursement. It was easy. I took a picture of the receipt with my phone, and then I chose a physical check to be sent to me. I'm waiting for that to come through the mail. It took three days from the time I submitted the claim to the time that I got the email back saying that they'll reimburse me. Meanwhile, the repair process for a pair of Apple AirPods only took overnight.

My Nintendo Joy-Cons moved on their own or they don't push accurately. They just go out. So I got on the computer and clicked the issues with it and then Allstate in turn offered me fast cash. I sent in a claim before and I had to speak with people, and they were going to email me a gift card. It took weeks and it was a major ordeal. It was a headache. So this time, I just did it on the computer, and it was way easier. I was pretty satisfied.

The cost of SquareTrade's protection plan was a reasonable amount. I had glasses that were run over by a car and got totaled. SquareTrade refunded my purchase in about a week so I can buy another pair.

My two year warranty was days from expiring. My Roku started acting up. Then stopped working. I got my warranty out and got hold of the company. They explained I could have a replaced product or check. I explained how I wanted to upgrade. They put the check in my account. They sent a new product, a better version. I am very very pleased.

The Samsung TV I bought on Black Friday was unrepairable. It was a $500 TV that I got for about $130. But because I got it for such a great deal, SquareTrade couldn't honor replacing it. They could replace it with the same size but it would just be a lesser quality TV. I talked to the highest management that I could and all that they could do was refund me the full amount that I paid and left me out of a TV. I couldn't really buy anything for that price at that time. It was pretty bad.
When you go to buy a TV at Walmart and they sell you a warranty, they don't give you the details. They just tell you if the TV can’t be fixed, the warranty will replace it as long as you have the receipt and everything matches up. They don't tell you that because you've purchased this TV on a Black Friday for $100, they won't honor the warranty that you're paying for.

Sent in for repair, came back like new. Within a week my daughter had her computer back. Also her charger was not charging her Chrome book, they sent a whole new charger and it works great. Very happy with the service we received, would recommend to others.

I got a protection plan with Allstate for a bicycle when I purchased it. When my brakes failed, I submitted a claim and the process took a while because no receipt could be found in Walmart. Then, Walmart found it and I submitted it. After that, it didn't take long at all. My interaction with their rep was good as well and the plan is valuable. My bike was fixed independently at a local bike shop and I got a partial reimbursement. I sent in a receipt for that and they paid 95%.

I was very pleased with the way my account was handled. I received a response the day my package was returned to them. I received a message on how my phone would be looked at and if it could be repaired. Within in 2 days I received another message stating I would receive a refund because my phone was not able to be fixed. I would purchase Square Trade again.

The screen on my friend's Galaxy Note 10 was broken. She was on my account with me. We were thinking of having it fixed locally but we couldn’t find a place locally. I called them up to see if there was a local place. They said there wasn’t a local place that would fix the Note, so we decided to send it in. Then my friend got it back and everything's fine with it. Everything worked fine and smoothly. We're happy with it.

Submitting a claim is a fairly simple process. It's all done on my phone, so I don't even have to call anybody, which is wonderful. I purchased pretty much everything through Walmart. I do it all through the Walmart app, which makes it even easier. The Walmart app directs me to the website, and then I can just chat with somebody, and it's like having a text conversation. But sometimes when they have higher volume of calls, their little app conversation thing freezes. But that's not really their fault. They're always right there to restart the chat if I get kicked out of it or it freezes up. Then I could tell them that I was talking to this person and they would transfer me right back over.
With my last claim, I started it and then Christmas happened, and my life kinda got turned upside down. So I didn't send my laptop in. I never completed the claim, and then the warranty expired. I never got it fixed. But that's not their fault. They've always fixed everything. This is the first thing that I let the warranty run out before I got it fixed.

Got a call from a representative, who agreed with me that SquareTrade does cover used engines and transmissions. He apologized and told me exactly what to do to get the coverage. Thanks, but on the same note, the website does not tell you how to get the coverage on vehicle parts nor does it explain how to do it. This needs to be rectified. Thanks for reaching out.

I contact SquareTrade approximately 2 weeks ago to ask if I could get a warranty for an engine and transmission I was about to purchase from eBay. The representative said yes and that I would just need to purchase the warranty prior to 30 days of purchasing the engine and transmission and also that I should wait until I received them before doing so.
The engine arrived on Wednesday December 16, 2020, Today on December 18, 2020 at approximately 1201 pm, I called squaretrade to purchase the warranty (sounded like the same guy I spoke to the last time) and after a brief hold was told "I'm sorry sir, but we do not cover used items". I said I called you 2 weeks ago and you said you would cover the purchase. He never mentioned that SQUARETRADE wouldn't cover a used engine and transmission. He then said, "I'M SORRY SIR, THERE MUST HAVE BEEN SOME MISCOMMUNICATION". WOW!
The only miscommunication was the deceit used when telling me they could cover it and now saying they won't. I've purchased at least 10 squaretrade warranties between myself, my parents and my sister after talking them into it, for several TV's, gaming systems, phones, a guitar and have only had to use them for one issue. So if consumer affairs wants to confirm the validity to my story, by all means ask me for my phone records and get the recorded call from squaretrade for the date and time I mention. I'm done with squaretrade and their deception.

I think the whole team handled everything from the claim to the outcome efficiently and beautifully. Talk to the representatives was just amazing! There's been a couple times where I found out that I purchased the warranty but it didn't cover what actually happened to whatever it was. But usually, the claims process is pretty painless. From start to finish, the claim would be resolved in about a week or two. But before purchasing the warranty, they should be more upfront about what is covered and what isn't covered. I bought the warranty for my kids' game controllers and came to find out that if a knob broke off, it wasn't necessarily covered, but if something internal happened, it was covered. I would have bought it more for one than the other.

Spoke on the phone with Customer service and he was very cordial, he explained to me all that I had to do regarding my 65 inch television. The process was on a timely manner. I would recommend buying the warranty for big ticketed items.

Insurance coverage very misleading when it comes to filing a claim. Nobody wants to help. Nobody explains to you that there's different types of coverage. All they care about is selling you something and once there is a problem they pretty much just tell you sorry about your luck.

Was happy with the prompt service. Only thing I was unhappy with was, all I wanted was a replacement leg. They sent me a check that was not enough to replace the chair as you can't order just one. The check was about $43 short of ordering a set.

The vacuum quit working and my wife did the claim online. The claim went great. They sent us a voucher for Walmart that day. When my wife first filed the claim, she spoke with somebody. They walked her through the claim online. They were very helpful. It is a pretty easy process.
