The hassle and reimbursement less than a replacement costs seems to indicate that Allstate square trade is a scam. A new Walmart product of lesser quality costs significantly more. A replacement product was promised from Hamilton Beach. The square trade said it was not available.

Easy to applied and received tv in standard time. No long wait. It was complicated at all. Easy to talk to customer service, very friendly, keep in touch through email. Would recommend this for insurance purposes. Fast and easy and the way to go. Never had a easy to use. I would use them again in my next purchase. It's always better to get insurance. Best idea ever.

Purchased a policy protecting headphones bought from Walmart. Headphones broke. Filed claim. Was told to contact company. Walmart refused to help pointing me back to protection plan. Allstate said to contact manufacturer. Because the headphones were made in China, which so much is nowadays, I couldn't reach any manufacturer. No reason to buy protection plan if AllState won't back their policy. I'm out the price of the headphones and the price of the protection plan.

So glad I bought the extended accident warranty. I dropped my tablet accidentally and broke the screen. Very easy to file the claim, it was received by the warranty service provider quickly and returned to me within 5 business days! Excellent service and experience.

The online app was not working and I spent over an hour talking to online text and going back and forth until they finally gave me a phone number to call. Once I talked to a real person everything went very smoothly and quickly and I was very happy with the end results. I was able to get a full refund for my damaged product.

My TV began acting up so I put in a claim with Allstate and they found a technician to come out and repair it. The technician tried everything and was unsuccessful in repairing the problem. So Allstate agreed to replace the TV. It wasn't with the same make and model, but I was able to choose from 3 great TVs and chose one that was more up to date. And the TV was brand new and was delivered quickly. Thanks to Allstate protection, we now have a new TV.

I was hesitant to buy a protection plan for one of my electronics which was a Xbox controller. When I called to get this replaced, and after being transferred by Walmart, the CSR that I spoke with, I felt had listened and solved my problem there on the phone. He gave me a credit back, for my purchase. I first thought, how absurd this insurance company is to not take the product back and work on getting it repaired/replaced. (I'm a little slow.) After I hung up the phone it "clicked". The CSR told me to keep the product. He eliminated me having to deal with the hassle of returning it or mailing it back & forth, only to wait for an outcome of the claim being approved or denied. (Ugh. Days, weeks, months?) I could just go get it when my refund was processed. (Which was super fast.) Truly I'm a satisfied customer. And that seems to be a phrase not often heard anymore. So, I thank you.

The fridge filter broke and I had a little flood in the fridge. People who took my call were really nice and listened to me very well. They were very sympathetic, too. I like having Allstate Protection Plans. I have them for multiple items from Amazon, Walmart and other places. Sometimes, filing a claim goes easy and there's less involved than other times. It doesn't make sense though that it's not the same every time. Allstate wanted me to submit stuff for the receipt for an online purchase that they were already aware of that I made. They don't require that on other insurance things and you just can tell them. Also, sometimes there's waiting time for hearing back on an item. I should have heard back on an item recently that I already submitted stuff for. It's taking longer than necessary and I'm wondering what's going on with that. But it's not a problem.

Scheduled and confirmed app for 10/9 from 12 to 5. The tech was a no show. Got a call at 4:30 from someone saying the tech had car trouble and would not be coming today. They rescheduled for sat 12/10 at 4:00. Tech did not show up until 6:00 PM. Was not sure how to replace part. Also one part which appeared to be the part needed was damaged. Now 8 o’clock o. Sat night and tv not back together so regardless what happens from here this was a bad experience.

We bought my fiancé’s daughter an iPad for Christmas. She dropped the iPad and someone stepped on it. The screen was so bad. I found that we had a protection plan so I went online and followed everything. Allstate sent me the box to send the iPad back. I sent it in then it came back and everything was fine. The timeframe was really fast. Allstate is efficient and I'm very happy. I would definitely purchase the plan again.

Claims is out of country, can not understand reps cause English is broken, was a very bad process that took over a hour, had to call they 6 different times to get claim processed. Take it from this. Avoid the purchase of this warranty. They try everything possible to avoid the process of claim with so many questions and each rep is different, like, "What is the IME number of your IPHONE," or "Your address is not listed in database or does not exist, you name it & stay calm" which will be hard. Next thing was, "Take phone to a Apple repair center 2 hours away. Pay the bill (From estimate) of $549 and send us bill and we will reimburse you in two business days for a phone that was refurbished for $275," You got to be kidding me!!!!

In order to use my protection plan, I needed to find the receipt and my membership number to the store where I bought my cellphone from. I needed to wait on hold for hours and days and try to talk to the right person. Nobody was helpful. I went from call center to call center in Bangladesh, India, and Mauritius. Nobody could quite comprehend the issue that I was going through.
It took over two months for the final resolution. I had to keep calling to try and figure out where the refund was going to be. Every time I called, they would tell me to set up my account with them even though I already set up an account. They were not finding a record of it and that I should start over. I’ve never dealt with anything so chaotic. It seemed like somebody misfiled something in the beginning. They kept thinking that my protection plan was for something else and I would have to send them the receipt again.
The protection plan was $20 for the cellphone and it had it clearly on the receipt. Whenever they finally did punch in the numbers I gave them, they're like, “Oh, I see it is for the cell phone.” I figured Allstate is a good protection plan for people who are proactive because if it was anybody else but me, that person might have given up. There were so many steps to it.
The problem was I was speaking to people and there was a massive language barrier. No matter how much I explained it to them, they went back to their script. I sent the email probably 50 times and they still said they did not have it. Days later, I still didn't hear back. I finally called again and I had to open a whole new case. I was like, "This is probably how it works. Most people will not go through this. And so most people are probably not going to utilize it.” It's just 20 bucks and you think you have a production plan. The chances of you using it are probably low and the chances of you actually fulfilling the whole process of the protection plan is chaotic.
I finally got the check and it took every ounce of patience left in my body to do so. There were moments along the process where I was like, “Is this even worth it? Let's just go get a new phone. My time is more valuable than sitting on hold for four days straight.” The worst part is I’d tell them one thing and then they would put me on hold then be for 30 minutes. I sat in silence. I kept asking, “Is there any way possible you can not put music on when you put it on hold?” It was driving me into a madhouse. Also, they didn't actually cover a replacement. They covered a refurbished phone and that was what I got. It only lasted another month and died. It's still under the warranty and I just don't have the heart to do it again.

The hoverboard stopped charging. I submitted a claim online and then picked my option of how I wanted the hoverboard to be repaired. It was very simple. I did the refund on it. The process was very self-explanatory. It was a lot simpler than I thought it was going to be.

Each day was something different. 1st bill of sale, 2nd bill of sale without tax, 3rd day pictures of chair. 4th copy of warranty. I have asked for a copy of the warranty, your company (Square trade) has never sent one. Once the worker came, he fixed it quickly and it has worked since.

I made a claim online and it was real easy. They told me, “Oh, okay. Well, we're gonna pay you this way.” But I kept forgetting to use the thing. Now, a couple of weeks have gone by since it was paid out, and I'm like, “Oh my gosh. How do I use this thing?” Or “Where's my money? Where did it go? I don't know where the money is.” So that was the only thing that wasn't totally clear. Then I figured that the gift card was inside my wallet. But I expected it to go to the gift card that's on my account at Walmart, and it was not. But having the gift card on my account would be better than having a whole new gift card. It took me a minute to use it at the terminal because the instructions on there are not accurate.

It is always a pleasure to work with Allstate on insurance coverage for my electronics and household items. The claims process is very easy, and the issue is resolved in a timely manner. Would highly recommend Allstate coverage. Most claims can be processed online which is very convenient but if you have to contact them directly the staff is always very friendly, and the process is still seamless to file a claim.

The claim that I was working on was with a Nintendo Switch. I was a little upset about it because I sent the product in the very first time because it had some liquid damage. I filed the claim, they sent me the shipping label, and so I sent it in. Then I got a confirmation that it had been received. They were working on it. Then I got a confirmation email that they were sending it back and that it had been repaired. I got it back but it wasn't repaired. So, I sent it back a second time and got the FedEx label, sent it in again, and returned it, and they sent another email, “Hey, we fixed it, we're sending it back.” I get it back the second time and it still was not repaired. This was weeks of going on. I sent it back the third time. I called after the third time that I sent it in, and they said that they would issue a refund. So now, I'm waiting for that refund.

Yes, yes, YES! I bought a Dyson refurbished from Walmart, along with a 3 year extended warranty. 1 year into ownership, and the battery didn't seem to hold a charge for as long, from the time we bought it. I contacted Walmart, who put me in touch with Allstate, the warranty company. And within days, after we sent our vacuum to get it looked at. It was repaired, all within 3-4 days. I'm amazed at how simple it was to initially contact them, then to send it along with their shipping instructions and prepaid postage. Open communications were from them about their progress from receipt of the vacuum, to repair, to its shipping return... ALL without any of my concerns or promptings. I couldn't be more pleased!

I had a three-piece furniture set that was all torn up. I sent all the pictures in, and they said that they couldn't send somebody out to repair it. So they just refunded me, which was $999. But I can't replace the furniture with that. I would have rather had somebody come out to see if it can be fixed. But it didn't go that way. Allstate gave me a $500 eGift card to be able to shop on Wayfair, which was ridiculous. I don't want to buy furniture from Wayfair.
I spoke to a gentleman at Allstatethe next day and told him, "Wait a minute. I only got the 500 and I thought it was my total 999 you guys were refunding me." He said, "Oh, yes. For some reason, it didn't go through. We'll submit it again." Then I got an email later that day stating all gift cards were unavailable. So they would be mailing me a check. It took a while, but they did send it for the remaining balance. I am kind of dissatisfied due to the fact that they should have sent me the whole amount, and I could have bought a set at another furniture store.

It’s been 10 days since I placed the order for a gaming console on eBay in which I cancelled the order 16 minutes afterwards. Allstate refused to cancel the order for the protection plan even after the gaming console order was refunded. I’ve tried to contact Allstate 5 times, but with no response. Even though I paid for the worthless protection plan I never received it. The fact that EBay doesn’t cover this item with their buyer guarantee indicates that EBay is a complicit enabler in this money grab scam. This ordeal that wreaks of fraud has been a learning experience for me. I’ve been a buyer and seller on EBay since 2010 and this is by far my worst experience.

I never got my 100 dollars back after paying out of pocket for an insured phone. I thought insurance was to cover it if it breaks, not after it gets fixed and paid for, that's why I paid the extra money.

I was informed that I was going to be reimbursed my purchase price of $180. I have an email saying that you are only reimbursing me for $49. I cannot get to the the return postage page. It just shows me a blank page then. I'm getting quite irritated with the fact that I purchased a protection plan and I'm not protected and I'm getting the runaround when it concerns my freaking phone.

We bought a recliner/lift chair to assist me with mobility issues. I started noticing right arm was loose. Hubby saw it was broken clear to bottom of the chair. Protection plan - they said they'd send refund. We got an e-gift to Wayfair for less than half which is not enough to replace the chair. I am VERY dissatisfied. Even $600 eCheck to Wayfair doesn't cut it - quality is horrible.

We bought the TV in January for the Super Bowl and it was already giving us manufacturer issues. There's a line that was going through the TV and it wouldn't go away. It would disappear and it would come back. So I decided to file a claim to Allstate. Mike, the rep, put it in and got everything going. Then he said that they would send an email and to take some pictures of the TV. I sent all the information and didn’t get a response. I sent the claim back in March and I called again in October because now, the TV just didn't want to turn on at that point. You could hear it, but you couldn't see a picture.
I had to file another claim because Allstate closed it. So, I had to call back and I was extremely frustrated because they said they never received the email when I have the email and the confirmation of the attachments. Then, they said they never received the claim and I was a little bewildered about that. So, I was upset. I talked to a supervisor and she was able to take care of me. She told me that they were gonna send me an email regarding a replacement for the TV. A month passed by and I got it in November.
About a couple of days ago, I had to call back again to find out the status of the replacement of the television. I talked to another gentleman and he helped me out and stayed on the phone with me while I got the email and explained to me this and this. So now that we filed the claim, we went through the Fast Cash thing so my husband could go pick out another television. We haven't received the check yet, because I just got an email saying that it was mailed out to me. It would take about five to seven business days, which is fine. So once we get that, then I'm literally just gonna hand it to my husband and tell him to get his TV and be done with it. But other than that, it has been resolved for the most part. But it was just the process, the frustration. We're in November. So, it’s about nine months. I could have had a baby by then.

We have wasted many hours dealing with the terrible customer claims and service with ZERO satisfaction. NINE times we have gone through the fraud of this "(haha) protection plan" which will not respond moreless repair or replace anything. Horrid service and a worse website and it is NOT by accident.

Allstate Protection Plans sent a repair person for the dishwasher. On the third attempt, they figured the machine was dead. Allstate reimbursed the price of the machine. We're in the market of purchasing a new one. I was satisfied with the service. However, it was unusual going into the internet to try fill up the claim then they said it was not available on the internet and to call them. When I called, they told me to go back to the internet. Sometimes it's easier to talk than to write the explanation. But it was resolved and I was impressed.
I had a problem with this machine during the first two years. It was a lemon from the get-go. When I was calling through the Costco, it was a lot longer time to schedule. Costco would provide through other means an appointment then I would wait but nobody showed up. Apparently, the other guys didn't get that notification. On the previous few attempts through the Costco, it was a lot more painful versus this time. We have a family of seven so without the dishwasher, it's an issue. This time, I made the call Tuesday and following Monday, a person was already here. Allstate's response was quick.

Allstate Protection Plans is a great option. If anything goes wrong, you get a replacement or get reimbursed for something equal to the value of the product. If you don’t get the full amount, at least you get something where you can put a little bit of money with it to replace whatever went wrong.
I filed two claims at the same time. One was for the subwoofer speaker that I purchased from Walmart. It was turning on, but the speaker was not working. The other one was for the Noco battery jumper cable where you could self-jump off your vehicle without having to use another vehicle. It was not taking a charge anymore. I did the claim from the Walmart app. I clicked into that, went to protection plans and logged into the Allstate website. Sometimes you have to add more information where you type in, especially what you're experiencing with the product. The times I did it in the past, it’d take you to the next screen and ask you what you'd like to receive. It gives you a value for the product and asks you would you rather get a check in the bill or get a gift card for the amount to use at Walmart. Sometimes you have to send the product in, sometimes you don’t. Sometimes they'll arrange for someone to come out and check it out.

I had a robotic vacuum and it started making gearing noise and not working properly. Submitting the claim with Allstate was very easy but the vacuum was not serviceable, so we just ended up with a refund of the $99. Also, the response back between whether they'd choose to pay out or repair the vacuum took a little longer than I expected. But that may be because the manufacturers didn’t respond to Allstate. All in all, the warranty service performed as I expected and hoped. I highly recommend it.

My refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. I submitted a claim online, and the process was straightforward. However, I've not been too thrilled about the whole process because I still don't have a working refrigerator. Allstate kicked it over to LG because there was a known issue with LG refrigerators. LG did a repair, and that failed. The earliest they can come is next week. So, a month without a refrigerator.

The upright freezer stopped working. I submitted a claim and it went very easily. But it was a little confusing trying to get ahold of someone between the website and the phone. The internet would tell me to call and when I would call, it said to use the internet. When I finally got through to someone, though, it was great. The rep was very professional and cordial. They reimbursed me for the purchase and they sent a check, which was really quick.

The power source went out of the TV and the claim submission process was really easy. I called it in and they were patient with me. I sent a few pictures and gave them details about when it happened and what exactly happened. They really listened and didn't give me a hard time. I'm not very happy with Allstate. When I first contacted them, they could not see where I had purchased the protection plan. They couldn't find it off the receipt. I sent them a copy of the invoice from Menards. The next day, they finally found where I had purchased the protection plan. However, I have called so many times to get correct answers, which I could not get. I talked to Shania. She was a good girl. She told me what I needed to do and confirmed that the claim has been approved, and I had to pay it out of pocket for the technician to come out and look at the refrigerator to determine what was wrong with the refrigerator. She told me if it was more than 80%, don't let them repair it. That's exactly what happened.
As the refrigerator guy was here, I called them again because he wanted to let them know that this particular part would not be available until March of 2023. I had to go around and around to try to get somebody to talk to him to let them know that this is not being repaired. I paid him $171. I had to send that receipt in too. Then they couldn't find that receipt, so I had to send it again. I can't even get into the claim now. I talked to a supervisor. I was supposed to have a Menards gift card so I could go out and purchase another refrigerator. That hasn't happened. You have to go through the same process. If you've got a claim number, you shouldn't have to go through the same process then ask you where you purchased the refrigerator. They should be able to look at that claim and understand what it is. I'm without a refrigerator and have been since October the 21st. I'm tired of hollering and trying to get it taken care of. I'm in the process of sending out something to the CEO on the poor processes.

Filing a claim was easy. Lucky I had a box and shipping materials to send out laptop. Fast return had me excited not being without my laptop for too long. Sadly I was disappointed when I pulled laptop out of shipping materials. Cosmetics damages were repaired. Palm rest and bottom cover were bent back to descent shape with scuffed edges. Cracked screen was replaced while outer shell of screen was also bent back to accept replacement screen. Although there is still a largely noticeable dent towards upper corner. The web cam has a slight glitch. That glitch consisting of cam privacy.
When disabling web cam via button on keyboard, there is a white Sutter that covers cam. It remains open despite of disabling web cam. Shutter partially closes for a split second and remains open despite of web cam being disabled. I am aware the product is functional to an extent. Corrupt hard drive was replaced with less performance than what was factory installed by HP. I simply had high expectations or repairs.

After running a diagnostics test from home and resetting my television set, the problem (lines running vertical and horizontal during action sequences) was not resolved. After making sure the TV system was up to date, I was assured a replacement option for my TV. So far, I am pleased with this service provided. A replacement option is still pending.

I wish I could give them zero stars. I sent in my daughter's headphones because she dropped and broke them. They denied the claim because before we sent it in, she used tape to try and hold it together. Apparently to this company, tape is considered an "unauthorized repair"... WT entire F. Now I've got to try and fight this in arbitration strictly on GP. I will not let this go until they make it right.

I sent an Xbox Elite Series two controller in because one of the buttons no longer functioned correctly. So far it’s been working fine since I got it back and some minor cosmetic issues were also fixed. The controller has a rumble pack which causes it to vibrate and it seems to go off more often but overall, it came back in working condition and I’m pleased the original problem is resolved.

We called and said what the problem with the controller was. They sent us a message saying they were gonna call us back in less than two minutes. When they called, they asked for my information about the controller, where I bought it from, and the shipping label of it. The guy who helped us was really kind. They told us they were gonna send us a gift card so we can get the controller replaced. I definitely recommend Allstate.

My TV has been acting sluggish. When I turn it on, it doesn't want to turn on. The claim process went decently aside from having to keep repeating myself 20 times. I've been calling and calling. The first time, the rep wanted to do a 72-hour watch on it but I've already been through the process. I had taken a video and already wiped the TV clean. They wanted me to redo everything. So, I had to call them back the next day. Now, Allstate is gonna send somebody to change a couple of parts. If they fix it, that's great. If they don't, then I don't know what happens next. I don't feel like complaining again. I've been calling for the last year and a half about my TV and nothing has gotten done.

Contacted your company back to only tell me they cannot reach the vendor. I would need to reschedule. I took off work. Parts are here. However, the inner wall is full of ice and is bowing out. Safety appears not to be this company's concern. Shame on your horrible service. I am actually typing this while still sitting on hold to speak to a supervisor. 35 minutes.

I am extremely frustrated with my experience so far. After submitting a claim request for a TV repair, I was contacted by phone by SquareTrade for a pre appointment check which was very professional. However, the follow up in-person appointment had a 5 HOUR window and the repair technician DID NOT SHOW UP! I contacted Squaretrade who appears to be handling this on behalf of Allstate and I still have not gotten any definitive response after several days besides that they are trying to contact the technician.

My most recent claim with Allstate was for my laptop. The laptop was purchased from Walmart. It was slow, not turning on, not following through with commands, and the cursor board wasn't responding. The claim process didn't go well. I tried to call to register the product and they said to do it online. But then, the online loop just circles you around and it never allows you to input any information on the product. I had to get online tech support to help. I had to give that person all of the information for them to register the product, which really presented as a tactic to not get the product registered and to not have any claims against it. Other than that, it shouldn't have been where I needed to get some assistance to do something so simple as to upload two sets of numbers.

I bought a 75" TV and pad for protection plan because I spent so much money on the TV wanted to protect my investment. The edging was always iffy. It was loose especially on the side that just became a huge issue. The TV got loose from edging and popped out. A white line on the TV screen appeared. I showed my husband and he saw that the TV screen was not in the edging. He tried to pop it back in and the whole screen shattered. I filed a claim. It was rejected. Called number provided? Out of service. Tried to file a new claim said I am not able to and to call - please remember line is not in service. No agent available. No call. No email address to contact. I am pissed and feel ripped off. I also did not get an email on rejected claim. RIPOFF.

I purchased a protection plan for my Bose QC2 earbuds. The third day I had the thing, I dropped it. I was walking along the tile floor and the case lid broke off. Part of the plan included accidental drops and spills. I filed a claim and it was approved. They said, “Send in your earbuds along with the case.” So I did and I got an email back saying, ‘We can't repair your item. We're sending you a check for the full amount.” I was disappointed because it was the lid that broke. The earbuds were fine. The earbuds themselves cost about $300, but the company sells a replacement case for 100 bucks. I thought that Allstate would have said, “You can get a new case and send it back, and we've saved the company a bunch of dollars.” But instead, they cut me a check for 300 bucks. The turnaround was less than a week. It was really nice but I just really wanted a replacement case.

Our Ninja food processor was not working. Whenever I was starting it on, there was a burning smell. I raised the claim with Allstate and it was approved within 15 minutes. It was very quick and easy. The chain of our children's bike came off and the pedals just stopped turning. We filed a claim with Allstate. Their customer service was amazing. I'm not happy at all with Allstate. They are supposed to be covering my warranty on my couch and loveseat. When I contacted them and told them that the stitching is coming out of the one arm on the chair on the loveseat, they were not happy. They were rude and informed me that because it's still under factory warranty, that Allstate doesn't kick in until a year after, and for me to contact the store. It just wasn't in a nice fashion and then they closed my claim. When I contacted Big Lots, I was told that I have to return the couch in order to have it fixed or repaired or replaced at my cost.

I have two claims with Allstate. One was a lawn mower and one was a Dyson vacuum cleaner. The mower just wouldn't start. As for the vacuum, it wouldn't stay running. It was a battery vacuum and after about two minutes, it would shut off. I called Allstate and it was difficult to get through. They ran me through a bunch of things. I had to take a picture of the receipt and send them to it. It took a good 40 minutes to get the claim processed and finally talk to somebody. That was pretty much the experience for both claims and that wasn't enjoyable. Had it been 15 minutes with a call, that would have been fine. They wanted me to do it online and I have not found that to be incredibly helpful in the past. I like talking to a human being so that was challenging with Allstate.
Overall, it wasn't the worst experience but it wasn't where it needs to be with customer service. Customer service in the last couple years has gone way down no matter who I call. It just seems like I can't get anybody on the phone. In the end, my vacuum cleaner is on its way back and Allstate supposedly fixed it. As for my mower, they said it wasn't something that was covered. It was a clogged carburetor and my gas was bad. I can understand that.

I have three items insured with Allstate. This was my first time filing a claim. When I went online, my order wasn’t on the website. I had other things on my claim. I had to put in my order number for it to show that I bought the protection plan. But it wasn’t their fault.

I have my cellphone coverage through Allstate. I'm good with it. I've got one claim going on now. I dropped my phone and cracked my screen. They're waiting on me to send my phone in before they send me a replacement. The other option was that I could take it to a retailer and pay for the repair for my screen then mail them the receipt.

My experience with them went very well. The customer service was good and I appreciated that and their follow-through. The last time I contacted them, there was an issue with the charger or the port on the computer of my daughter. They told me the quickest way was to buy a charger and if it works, they'll reimburse me the money. The check came pretty quickly. The service was worth it. I purchased it for the laptop of my daughter. This is the second time I had to get it looked at. The first time was pretty much the same thing. They sent a box out, I sent it in. Within a week, I knew what was wrong with it and what they were doing. They sent it back and the laptop was fixed.

Whenever I'm playing a game, my XBox would stop reading the disc. The problem has been progressively getting worse to the point where it shuts down the Xbox. I tried to do the claim online but the system was not giving me the option I needed. Once I called in, I had no problem. The rep I spoke with was good. Allstate is a good insurance. The only thing that would make it better would be a physical place to bring my device rather than mailing it in and being without it for two weeks.

For the past 2 months this company has been giving me the run around. I have giving them all they had asked for. My tv started out with a line on the bottom of the tv. They asked for pictures and videos. The csr barely speak English. They do mainly all of the communication via email. I kept asking for someone to call me they will not. Every time I will call they treated me like it was the first time I was calling they kept asking for more pictures and more videos I have emails to prove all of this. Finally my tv stopped working they wanted to do a diagnostic on a non working tv, they wanted more videos with the tv on.
After I told them and showed them the tv doesn’t work. The tv is mounted has been since I bought it. No small children or animals in the house. I am barely home. At this point I had enough. I kept asking what else do you want. Since I was rude to them they decided that I self inflicted a physical damage to the tv and they aren’t paying me for a new tv. I called a lawyer today to sued them for wasting my time and the aggravation they put me thru for 2 months. Never ever buy this warranty protection again. You will avoid the frustration and time wasted. Is not like they going to cover you for anything. They had no issue taking my money when I bought the warranty but had a lot of issues paying up.

Updated on 10/12/2022: I wrote a review on 10/6/22 regarding poor service from this company. The next day I received a note that someone would contact me regarding the problem. Today 10/11 I received an email stating they tried to verify my repair receipt but the phone number was invalid. Turns out they called someplace called Fix4Less....I never heard of this company before. I promptly resubmitted all my documents again for the 4th time. Allstate is terrible and I will never purchase a Allstate-SquareTrade protection for any of my electronics again! Be aware.
Original Review: My HP All in one PC needed repairs. I asked for a local company to do the repairs instead of shipping it across the country. When I submitted my repair receipt for reimbursement, they wrote back that the receipt appears altered.... I don't know why, it's clear has a date and the name of the company. Now when I write to the Square Trade I can't get an answer as to why it was rejected. Each time I get a reply it's from someone who states the basics of how to get a repair. I chatted with a rep and that person can't find a record. He gave me a phone number to call but can only get a message to use the website. Terrible website, terrible customer service. I don't think they want to pay the claim. SquareTrade used to be a good company - No Longer!!! I will never purchase another warranty from them!!!

They approved my claims, sent me e-gift cards and when I went to the store, the gift cards did not work. How embarrassing. When I contacted them, twice, because no one responded after the first agent said they would refer the matter higher, they sent me an email asking for my receipts, pictures and other things I no longer had because my claim was approved.
I let them know that after the approval, I got rid of the items and that my receipt was of course on their website, it’s how I filed the claim. I told them I expected they would reissue new gift cards. They sent me back the exact same email I received the first time, word for word, asking for my receipt and pictures of the item. They are probably not going to handle this. And I’m not happy because I have a lot of warranties through them, but I’m pretty sure I won’t be doing that in the future.

I purchased a Gaming Chair from Amazon.com. They offered an extended warranty thru Allstate Protection Plans (DBA Square Trade Inc), for $ 29.95, which I purchased. Two years into the three year coverage, the hydraulic lift cylinder failed. I accessed the online claim site and filed a claim. They responded by email requesting photos of the damage. I answered back that I could not photograph the damage because it was an internal failure. Again they requested photos, again I answered that I could not photograph the damage because it was an internal failure. At this point I called the SquareTrade toll free phone number (which I should have done in the first place). After a 5 minute phone conversation, they issued me a full refund on the purchase price of the chair. I am pleased with the outcome.

So I had 2 claims .1 was for a Galaxy Buds PRO and the other was for Galaxy Buds Plus. I got my replacement today and they were both Galaxy Buds Live. WRONG HEADBUDS. Then I try 1 pair out and the left head bud doesn’t work. The right one works semi. Then I try out the other pair and the left bud doesn't work and the right one works okay. So I need some explanation and my earbuds replaced.

This place is a racket. They seem to do whatever they can to avoid remitting payment on their protection plans. I purchased a protection plan for an expressomaker. The product needed repair after the expiration of the factory warranty period and while the protection plan was active. They indicated that I needed to find (my time and effort) a 'local repair center' to repair the item, and I would be reimbursed 'within one business day' after submitting my repair receipt. It has now been over a month, and I still have not received reimbursement in spite of contacting SquareTrade over 7 times. The latest excuse is that the repair needed to be 'verified', even though I provided a receipt (showing my payment of the charge to the repair shop). Life is too short to deal with untrustworthy businesses.

I did speak with a technician named Oscar who was very nice and helpful and supposedly I should have had a service person come out to fix it. The part was mailed to me over a week ago and yet no flow up. I will never again buy an extended warranty with any company.

How could a tablet be compared to a 50" tv? Why is that my claim was done for 2 tablets and all the info that I gave was about tablets that my tablets were sent back because they weren't a 50"? Bought a rug at NFM along with a $750 Allstate Protection plan. A month after delivery, the dog had an accident and stained the rug. We called Allstate, they sent a cleaner which we tried to no avail. They sent a professional cleaner who stated it could not be cleaned. Allstate has no denied the claim. Been at this for 7 weeks and nothing but the run around. Next step is to file a grievance with BBB and NFM and then we plan to cancel our Homeowners insurance with said company. Absolutely cannot recommend this company and those retailers who offer them up should move toward a new benefit.

Bought 3 used iPhone 8 for my little kid siblings last year and they all crack their screen. Allstate Protection Plan don't cover it. Now I'm out of 3 phones. They have to use cracked. One doesn't boot up no more which they don't cover also.

The claims process is easy once an account is set up. I sent the laptop with the mailing label that Allstate/SquareTrade provided. Got an email saying they received it on 8/10. On the website, it is stated most repairs completed in 2-5 bus days. We record the repaired laptop 8/26, so it took a few more than 5 bus days to fix, but all in all, very timely. My biggest complaint is there is little communication after email saying they received the laptop. There is no customer service phone number provided. You must chat with a bot, then an assumed person. Sometimes frustratingly.

My tv lost picture but had audio. I submitted a claim with the cash register receipt provided by Sam's Club. I was informed the receipt was inadequate.. I went to the store and was provided a receipt in a different format. Upon submitting that receipt I was instructed, by phone to perform a series of tests taking 48 minutes. Then instructed to send photos of the serial number, the screen in the off position and an additional photo of the screen on the on position. The claim was paid but for an amount of $28.61 less than the purchase price. I called and inquired why and was told “we saved you the cost of returning the TV”. I told the agent that information is not disclosed in any of the written warranty information.

I was given a repair shop to go to for my phone repairs and was told that I would have to pay for the repairs and after doing so send in my receipt for reimbursement. After sending in my receipt, I was told that the repair shop that I was told to go to wasn't a authorized repair shop. A complete and total waste of money.

I got my battery replaced. At first everything was fine. After a couple days started having the same problems, freezing up, battery dying fast, so I got back in contact with them. The lady I talked to was clueless and no help. She telling me they reimbursing me. I'm trying to tell her that's not what I'm interested in then she telling me to take it back where I got it fixed. By this time I'm frustrated. The phone is not a year old. I travel for work. I need a phone that work. I'm to the point of buying another phone.

We had a difficult time in understanding the language of the foreign customer service representative but they sent a check for almost all the original price of the unit. We were able to use those funds to purchase a replacement that was a better upgrade for only about $40 more than the broken unit. We purchased more insurance from them.

Square Trade was responsive and timely. They only requested 2 photos of my recliner that has a broken mechanism, and being unable to repair, they reimbursed us the full purchase price of the recliner. I will try to find a company to repair it, as it's a matching set.

My laptop would not turn on. I contacted The Allstate Protection Plan for assistance. They approved my claim for repair. I then sent my laptop in for repair. Within ten days it was repaired and sent back to me. I would recommend this plan to everyone. It is worth the money.

I'm very please with the outcome, at the beginning of the claim it was a little frustrating, but after spoke with supervisor problem solved. At the beginning was told to take my phone to a U Break store, and then when I had the letter saying that it was fixable, I call customer service, the person told me I need it to send it to them that's when I requested speak with a supervisor.

I'll keep it short - I have a certified refurbished laptop purchased from eBay in January of this year. It has an Allstate Protection Plan through January of 2024. One of the USB ports broke and I cannot use it, so I had to send it in for repair. I was told 2-5 days after they received it I should expect it back. They've had it 4 days now - and I've been without it for 6. No update from them beyond that they'd received it 4 days ago. I chat today and I'm told they need parts to repair and they won't arrive until Aug 29. If it takes 2-5 days to repair at that time I can expect it back somewhere around Sept 2-6, which will mean I'll have been without it for 2 1/2-3 weeks. This is my laptop, which I use for work and personal stuff every day. That's unacceptable - they need to stock adequate replacement parts, replacement units, or pay for a replacement. It's not complicated. Buyer beware.

This Company needs to be regulated by fined by the insurance department to include litigation for giving ridiculous hassle to anyone that has a claim! One of the worst companies to deal with so don't waste your time with anything that has Allstate is involved!

So prompt, so generous with record response time. I took a chance at buying this warranty thinking it was a waste of money. There was a noise in the lift that caused my husband fees of getting stuck in his chair. I remembered that I purchased the warranty and so I decided to file a claim. They were so prompt and supported my concerns and provided a replacement! I will buy a warranty again. Thanks for restoring my confidence.

Allstate treated me okay when I did a claim though I lost a little bit more than I thought I might have. They subtracted the cost of the program off of the refund of the product but overall, it went well. I'd probably get a protection plan again in certain situations. Allstate followed up, followed through and did good record-keeping. It was important to me that they’ve got a running record of what's been discussed and what's been talked about when you call back. There were no plot twists and that was important to me.

I had taken my Apple Watch off when I was trying to get to the oil filter on my truck. I turned off my car when I was up and under it, and I set it down on the ground. When I backed up after I finished everything, I didn’t pick it up before I got off from under my car and I ran over it. The whole thing got crushed on my wheel and I had to get that fixed because it wasn’t working. Allstate fixed it and it looks brand new. It worked out.

The TV stopped working and I went online and submitted a claim. The guy called me and we went through some stuff to try to make it work but it didn’t work. Allstate said, “Throw it out.” So, it went good. The new one cost more than the old one did.

Allstate asked me to send the gimbal for repair. They checked it and decided that they wouldn't be able to fix it. I was afraid that Allstate wouldn't live up to their word, but they did. So, I’m glad it worked out. They refunded me the money for the product. It did not include the $82 that I paid for the coverage, but I was refunded the amount for the product that I purchased. So, I just got a check I need to deposit. At least it gives me the opportunity to buy another one. It was very straightforward. Kudos to Allstate.

I kept submitting the receipts. I kept sending emails. I never got answers back from Allstate. It was dragged a long time. It was a repair. It's a warranty but I don’t know if it’s a replacement. Allstate just told me to take it in. They said if it wasn’t under 256, not to get a repair, but if it was under 256, get a repair. So they did a test on it and said that both of my AirPods were burned out. And the test came out negative so they suggested that it needed replacement.
I called Allstate and told them what was going on. They said, “You need to submit this and then you have to pay from your pocket and we'll get back to you.” And I paid from my pocket. I submitted everything. And that same day that I went there, they replaced my AirPods and took the other one back. I started submitting receipts from that point on. They kept saying that they couldn't read them. They couldn’t open them. I called back again. I waited for almost a week and the lady told me that they couldn't open it. I asked, ‘When were you guys gonna let me know?” And she said, “Somebody was supposed to reach.” I said nobody reached out to me.” I asked to what email do I send it to. She said, “The same email they sent you, the first one.”
I said, “Ma'am, can you send me an email so I can send attachments, send it to you, and see if you can open it up and see it before we hang up?” She said it would take 15 minutes and she couldn’t be on the line with me. So I said, “Fine. No problem.” She sent me the email. It took one second to get the email from her while I was talking to her on the phone. I resubmitted. At the same time, I asked her if she received it. She said, “I can’t look at that right now. It takes about 15 minutes.” I sent her four to six times that day. And later on, the person emailed me and says, “We can’t open it.” That was about it. So I said, “I submitted six different times. Can you open any of them?” I didn't get an answer again.
I waited about for five days, yet still, nobody answered me. After that, I called again and the lady said, “We can’t open it.” I said, “We have a problem because I have submitted it six different ways and nobody's called me and let know or emailed me.” And she said, “We can't open it.” I’m done. I got upset. Told her I needed to talk to a manager. They sent me to a supervisor. She was a very nice lady and I explained to her just like I explained it here. She went in there, opened it up and said, “You know what? I'm able to see one and I have no problem with it. I will submit your claim right now and send you a check within five to seven business days.” I said, “Okay. No problem.” Once we did that, she said, "Anything else I can help you?” I said, “No, that’s about it.” I got the check five days later after talking to her.

Allstate used to be SquareTrade and I've had a lot of SquareTrade policies over the years. I'm really happy with them every time I get them. I used Allstate when the screen of my Dell XPS 13 was damaged. They needed to replace that, which they did and everything looks great. They rummaged the system, which was a known thing to do. But what they did is they left it in a state of the first name of the owner instead of leaving it in a default Windows start to login thing, where you can build your own private profile.
Going forward, I suggest that instead of leaving it just an owner if you're going to rummage it, leave it in a state where the customer can go through and set up their own login again. Other than that, everything looked good when we got the computer back. I'm happy with the claim. Allstate was good to use. The process took a week overall. It was two days for them to get the computer, two days for them to ship it back, and a couple of days to fix it.

I called Allstate and a representative asked some questions. They tried to do some troubleshooting such as listening for the sounds and unplugging and replugging the washing machine. She was able to hear so they filed a claim. They asked me to record a video so I did and I took some pictures as well then submitted that. There was some email communication and they rendered a decision and they gave me my money back. I purchased the new washing machine from Costco and it arrived today. I bought another warranty with Allstate for my new washing machine.
Allstate made an assessment and they made a good decision. They are by the people and they believe in the consumers so I felt supported. Sometimes when you deal with businesses, you feel like you're just a small person and you don't matter. But Allstate came from a consumer perspective to know and understand. They've been doing this for a long time and they probably know about machines and life. I was very satisfied.

Electronics sometimes don't work and I've had the experience of them going out. Having insurance is good. You're investing in what you're purchasing. It's extending the warranty even though it already came with the warranty. Luckily for me, I was still within the timeframe to get the help that I did when I did a claim for my TV. It really worked out.
My TV wasn't working and was having issues updating. It just turned on and on by itself. It would have the apps on there but it wouldn't let you use them. It just kept getting frozen. We kept trying to update it and go through the download process, but it just wouldn't do anything. I did a claim and the process went well. The technicians were great. They tried to troubleshoot and then tried to fix the TV, but it wasn't repairable. Allstate did a refund based on the age of the TV.
Allstate went above and beyond to try to make sure that I either get the replacement or get the refund. I was happy with it. It was great to use the money that it cost me to pay for the warranty because sometimes you never use it or you may even forget you have it then you lose out. You then have to spend another $200 or $300 on the TV. But Allstate really worked out and I was happy with saving money.

I have the protection plan for two tablets. At first, the screen was messing up and now they won't charge. For one of the tablets, they said it's still under the manufacturer's warranty. I talked to people about them but I never heard anything back. For the second one, they sent me a check in the mail for how much I paid for it. So, that's good.
The person who actually helped me was awesome. I was transferred five times and they were like, "Okay, well, let me get you to the right department.” That's what each one said. So I'm like, “Okay, this last person is gonna tell me the same thing.” But no, he actually helped me. So I’m like, “Well, I guess I'm finally in the right department.” Other than that, I would definitely recommend Allstate because they sent me a check for how much I paid for that other tablet.

I have a protection plan for a remote-controlled Batmobile and the front wheel hit a bump and broke off. We filed a claim and it went very well. I had not registered it so I had to do that. I took pictures of my receipts and explained what happened. The rep was pleasant and helpful. She said they were going to cover it for me and they sent me a check. Just yesterday, I cashed it. They stood behind their warranty.

We bought a Vizio 555-g4 tv in August of 2019 with the 3 year warranty. Didn't even think about it till this past week when our 55" died suddenly. Fortunately, while we we looking through the owner's manual, we ran across our Walmart Purchase warranty and we had like a month left on our warranty. We called them and in about 5 days or so, we received the full amount of purchase because it was determined that it was pointless to try and refurbish it. There were some glitches due to miscommunication on both sides...nothing serious. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with very helpful and friendly staff. And I am buying the 5 year warranty with our new 55" Vizio.

They need to fix the website. So that way, somebody has a choice if they want to go to a repair shop, or if they want a replacement. They wanted me to take my expensive phone to a local dealer to have it fixed and I knew it wasn't fixable. I demanded a replacement so I was able to get one. But if somebody didn't know their rights or how to navigate that, they'd probably end up at a repair shop wasting time.

I love Allstate. Their customer service was good. The tech support person was really helpful, but he didn't get too far in helping me fix my laptop. It seemed my laptop wasn't turning on, but when tech support called me, I turned it back on and realized that the brightness was down all the way. The sun was hitting it in a way that I could see the screensaver a little. I felt really dumb, but I'm happy that I didn't have to send my laptop and have somebody else figure that out.

When it comes to electronics, having a protection plan is very important. The first time we used Allstate was really good. We submitted everything and they tried to get somebody to fix the TV but it wasn't fixable. So, they ended up sending us a check for the replacement. That was years ago, when they first started coming out with the flat screens. This last claim we had was for a kids' ride-on and it was a bit harder ‘cause it was an item that they deemed repairable and it isn't. Those are hard to find anybody to work on, and they ended up reimbursing us.

The CAT bulldozer stopped working completely. At first, it was the power button, and I got a replacement part for that, but it still wouldn't power on. I charged it overnight, and that wouldn't power it on at all. I provided Allstate with the proof of purchase, and videos and pictures of the bulldozer not working. It took a while, but once I called them, they submitted all that information. Within a few days, they told me, “Okay, it looks like there's no replacement for it. But we can send you a replacement check,” and I could get anything I wanted. I got an e-gift card to Walmart. I'm glad I got the protection plan, and I’ll tell people, for sure, to add it to their purchase.

I bought a Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy A03s and the day after I purchased the phone, it fell out my hand and cracked. During the initial claim process, the reps told me they were gonna send the stuff on email. The lady didn't make it clear how the claim would be done through email. Also, the phone was working when they gave me information for the email but my screen went out completely so I couldn't see the email anymore. I called them back and they were gonna send me an envelope to put the phone in. They're gonna ship it to me and I'm gonna ship it back to them.
They said the process is gonna take 7 to 10 days. I told them no it would be too long because I had already been out of a phone for a week and a half. I told them that I wanted to file a complaint with SquareTrade and they told me, “Let me let you talk to the supervisor and see if my supervisor can help you out before we take that step.” I said, “I don't have any problem with your representatives. It’s just that the timeframe. I’m on a 30-day Straight Talk card that I paid $55 for. The time is just going on, and I don't even have the phone.” So he said, “How about we just give you a reimbursement check? And that'll be there in three to five days.” I said, “Okay.” and that’s what they did.

The claims went fine and I had a good experience, overall. I filed a claim on my bookshelf, my coffee table, and my sofa. For the bookshelf, Allstate sent me a kit in the mail to clean it up. Then, they reimbursed me for the coffee table and the sofa is not really covered underneath my claim, but that's something else I'm trying to figure out on my own. I felt good about the process. It was very accessible. I had a better experience with them than with the other insurance company I'm with.

Our laptop kept on shutting off, and for some reason, when we did the diagnostics, it wouldn’t recognize the GPU. We went online and filed a claim then it gave us a phone number to call. The agents have been nice, and I get email updates every step of the way. The only thing is, this is the second time we've filed a claim on it. The first time, they just reset the operating system, and it took 10 days to get that done. Now, they’re gonna do a repair and they emailed me a shipping label, but we'll have to wait another 10 days to get the thing done when they could have done it the first time. Still, Allstate is a great company.

Allstate was a great help with my window unit claim. In this heat and the way things are going today, they were very supportive and they were great about everything. Their response on the replacement was very quick and then, they sent a check. I was able to run out and buy another one. I appreciated that there was nothing complicated about it. To be on the safe side, I recommend that people buy Allstate if they're gonna buy an electronic.

I had an electronic device that broke due to an accident. It was a little frustrating at first because Allstate told me to get ahold of Microsoft because it was a Microsoft product and that it should be covered through their warranty, and then to send this and do this. I was like, "Is there any way around that?" I was told, "No. And if those aren't acceptable, then we won't help you."
I called back because Microsoft said no, and explained to Allstate the situation. The guy said the first person I had talked to should have told me my options. He was more helpful than the first guy. I got an email confirmation two or three hours later reimbursing me of what the plan was willing to be reimbursed by. I then got the digital gift card the next day. So, it only took like a day all in all.

I sent some emails for the laptop and got a shipping label, and sent it off. I got emails when it got there as well as now that it’s being sent back. Allstate said they fixed it so, everything’s gone fine.
