    My iMac computer was a refurbished one and everything was working good. Then, it just stopped working. First, Allstate said that I had to go through Walmart because it was under a year. But because it was pre-owned, I didn't have to because they don't do refurbish. After that, I still went with Allstate. The rep helped me but the computer still didn’t work. So, I waited until the date and I called it in. He tried to help me and when he couldn't, he told me to send Allstate my receipt. I did and they sent me my money. I got an e-card for Walmart. The protection plan is convenient and the price is always good for the insurance. I used Allstate a long time ago and that's why I did it. My grandson's PlayStation 4 had gone out and I sent it in to them and they sent it back. My grandson is still using the PlayStation and that's been years. I’m very satisfied with Allstate. People should get the plan.

    I've called Allstate a couple of times. Both experiences have been pretty good. The second time that I called because my husband had either lost or somebody stole his phone. I’m not sure which one, but I was disappointed because that coverage is not on that plan. It's basically for repairs. The agent was very apologetic for not covering lost and stolen items. She requested a refund for my warranty.

    I had to call back because it was taking quite a bit of time for them to send my refund and to make sure that it had been processed. Come find out that something happened with the system. They had to do it all over again. But it only took three to five days. It was a smooth process and that agent helped me very well. What I ended up doing was canceling the protection for that particular phone because we had to go out and purchase another phone. But with my first claim, the agent was very helpful. I just sent them my receipt and they reimbursed me.

    For the amount I spent on the earbuds, Allstate's plan seemed like a reasonable amount of money to add to it. The rep gave me enough detail for something to stick for me to think that it was a good plan. If it's something worth a couple hundred dollars, I would suggest it. Especially if it's something that's gonna be used on a daily basis.

    The tablet's screen still worked, but it was broken. Glass, children, not a good thing. So, I sent the tablet off. I did everything online. The rep said, "If you need to utilize the plan, this is the website, and this is your product number." It was easy, and they sent me an email that had the FedEx printout. So, I took it to FedEx, and they shipped it off. I got it back within a week.

    I ended up having the same tablet before when I didn't think I needed it and I had to repurchase a new one. So, the protection has already been a lifesaver because the coverage itself is only 30 bucks, but the whole tablet is over 100. So, to have to replace a whole tablet and I don't have insurance as opposed to getting the insurance and having the protection on it, it makes it much worth it. If you're gonna get furniture, get it as well. Because if you have pets, that is also a very good important protection plan to have.

    Allstate paid off on the settlement that I claimed for my phone. It broke and there was no place within 100 miles that could repair it, so the agent I spoke with chose to give me my replacement price. But he did his very best to not do it. He would jump through a whole bunch of hoops and it took me a bit more than 45 minutes to get us to the point of agreeing that they'd just give me a replacement price. A few weeks later, I got the check. All in all, the protection plan was valuable enough that I've got it on my new phone. I was also glad I had the insurance, even though I didn't know I had it until after I was informed about it. I was glad that the PureTalk agent had put it on there. Otherwise, I would have been out.

    I got an Allstate plan for a gold chain and a pendant. When their tech offered it to me, she didn't actually explain the contract but they had a brochure that had all the information. It covers everything except if somebody stole the items. I also used an Allstate plan before for a griddle and when I filed a claim, it was difficult because the receipt that I had was an old one. The letters have faded out and it was hard for me to tell them some of the information in there. Other than that, I had a pleasant experience with Allstate.

    Seven months ago, I noticed that the iron started malfunctioning. At first, I thought the electricity in the old home that I was at that was getting it overheated. Then we moved to another house that we bought and when I used the iron again, there was still something wrong with it. It would overheat to the point that I couldn't even grab the handle. I made the claim with Allstate and I said what was going on. They were very helpful and they sent me a reimbursement to be able to purchase a new one. The claims process went very smoothly and I was very impressed. I'm in the rural area and I wasn't expecting it to be that fast. I wish other companies would work that way. At the moment, my washer's lid is rattling really ugly and it's leveled. I made a claim and it's been two months, but the techs have not come out. It's because I'm in the rural area now.

    We got Allstate for a Samsung 45-inch TV. When there was no sound to it, I called Allstate, and they had me go through the different tests to make sure it was something wrong with the TV. Then they said they'd send me a new one. The first one they sent had a cracked screen. I had to call them back, and they told me to send them a picture. I did and they told me they'd replace it. The second one finally made it safely. But Allstate was a pain. They kept insinuating that there was nothing wrong with the TV and I kept telling them there was. They had me reset this and that. They tried to fix it over the phone which took three hours.

    So I bought a refurbished laptop on eBay that came with a SquareTrade protection plan. Basically, I’ve been trying to get this whole thing resolved since Oct 26, 2022. During normal use, the laptop bursts into flames during normal use while surfing the internet and they keep denying me that they won't cover due to the damage under 8 (K) reference in the '"What is not covered'' section of the contract, but after talking to a few sqauretrade supervisors over the phone. Because the damage was caused by mechanical or electrical failure due to the laptop overheating, the laptop should be covered because that’s the thing that caused the fire damage and not an accident. The most helpful supervisor has been David ** who told me I should be covered for this, but the claims review department think differently. It seems like my item is supposed to be covered and, in the end, I'm being run around in circles.

    Started on around March 22, took the Roomba to Walmart and was told I was over the 90-day return policy. Came back home and emailed Allstate and made the claim. They sent me to the manufacturer, who sent me back to Allstate who sent me back to Walmart who sent me to Allstate who wanted me to call the manufacturer again. I can't make anyone understand, I do not want this, I don't want it repaired and I don't want to fight with the darn thing any longer. I have spent hours on the phone with various departments and can't get anyone to help. I have only tried to use this thing three times, once was terrible to figure out, second time a bit better and the third time it would not even leave the base. I do NOT want it. I just want a full refund and a shipping label to return it.

    My 14-month old Canon Pixma printer suddenly began printing out everything absolutely unreadable. The Canon warranty had expired. I first performed all the self maintenance steps and nothing helped. I called Allstate/Square Trade. The tech tried a few more maintenance maneuvers with me and nothing helped.     TV is stuck on one channel, I was thankful I had bought the additional protection plan at the time of purchase at Walmart. Nothing accidental happened with the TV, when I called to file the claim I was told the TV has a software issue and they only cover mechanical & electrical claims. Complete scam of a protection plan!     I have been going back and forth with Squaretrade for a week now. I get different information from each rep I speak to (everyone has the wrong information). I was supposed to send my product in and get a email gift card within 1-2 business days. On Monday you received the item, yet I didn’t get a gift card even after 2 business days. Yesterday I got a call saying there was a glitch in the system and I now have to fill an affidavit form, which I did fill out. Then I got an email saying it was accepted and I will get a email gift card soon. Later I got another email saying the check will be sent to my house.

    I called in and each person I spoke to gave me different information - 1 person said they ran out of gift card, another person said the email was a mistake, another person said they attempted to send a gift card and it didn’t work so now they are sending to my house a check. This is very unfair. I want to receive a email gift card and it shouldn’t be this difficult to handle a customer and especially provide correct information.

    I began to file my claim on 1-4-23 and received a Big Lots gift card for $328.94 on 3-23-23. When I reordered the rocker recliner (same make and model) I had to pay $62. more for it. The plan covers replacement if repair is not possible. It did not cover the entire replacement cost. There was an unreasonable amount of time to get any satisfaction. The process was long and frustrating, it involved repeated phone calls and resubmissions. I think they hoped that I would lose the receipt, because I had to submit a photo of it multiple times.

    For our recent claim with Allstate, our TV wouldn't completely turn off. We had it set up for Alexa and turning it off by voice, and it got to the point where it wouldn't work. No matter how many times you'd reset it, it wasn't working properly. It took Allstate 10 days, but they sent me a check for the amount that I had it insured for with them. I also had a claim for a battery I had for a mower. They were supposed to have sent me a check months and months ago, but they never sent anything. I kept calling about it. Finally, I got ahold of somebody there and they got tired of having me call all the time. Apparently, one of the people that work there decided they were gonna just send me $25 to shut me up.     My recent claim with Allstate was for a phone that was not charging. I had to send it out to Allstate to repair it because there was an issue charging the phone. The claim process was easy. I had to call them to get the claim started and they talked me through it and they told me what to do. They told me they sent me email instructions on how to send the package and they told me to print a shipping label and put it on the package. It was fast.     The battery went bad and Allstate said, "Take it to a repair shop and we will reimburse you." I took it to Best Buy and they asked me to buy a battery as BB does not sell them. I bought a Lenovo battery and had best buy install it. Battery 89.01 install 39.99 I submit everything and they keep saying they are confused so after 2 weeks I finally get a guy in Columbia from their customer service and he after an hour agrees the totals/receipts/and all the documentation is there and they will pay the claim....I get the check and it's only for 89.01.

    I started having issues with the phone. I purchased the phone from eBay and they wouldn't help me. I called PayPal but they wouldn't help me. When I called Allstate, I had issues with them too. I had the runaround from all three of them until Allstate finally helped. It took a while, but I finally got the refund for the phone that I had purchased. When I submitted the claim to Allstate, they told me they didn't have anything. So I had to resubmit the claim and then pretty much start all over again. That was why it took a long time too. They told me I have to take the phone to this place to get it fixed, and then they said, “We can't fix it.” So Allstate agreed to refund the money. I'm glad that they took care of it. I'll definitely use it if I need to in the future for any purchases.

    The glasses were scratched up. When I did the claim the first time at Sam's club where I bought them, something didn't go through. We had to enter a part number for the glasses but there was no number per se on them. So, that caught us off guard. It's nice that the protection plan can help me when I step on the glasses or drop them. I ended up getting a new pair. I don't really like to buy extended warranties, but some things like that really help us out in this world.

    A protection plan is very valuable to have. My clothes spinner was a couple of months out of being out of protection and the lid broke. It can't spin without the lid. Allstate immediately sent me a check for that unit and I bought a new one. It was easy, and I was really impressed. I was also really surprised. I've had other warranties that didn't pay. I would tell friends, "Go ahead and get it. It's worth it." I got it from Walmart. The plan was cheap, and I thought, "Why not?"

    My iPhone got smashed, unfortunately at work and had to start dealing with Allstate/SquareTrade because that’s whom I purchased my insurance through regretfully, I made a couple mistakes on my end like having to get an email switched which took a week and a half to do, and for the past 2 1/2 weeks I’ve been getting the runaround about my phone being sent to me (and I have emails to prove that allstate/Squaretrade sent) when I finally got a tracking number, which I had to contact them myself to get because they never sent me one I find it it’s in Edison New Jersey and it’s been sitting there for days, apparently it got lost.

    That’s what the Postal Service told me, because I ended up calling them because of whoever at Allstate/Square trade told me they needed a case number one and the Postal Service told me they didn’t have it. They told me they also couldn’t give me a case number because the phone was never there, when I called I told Square trade or whoever they wanna be and they basically me to make phone calls to the Postal Service to try to find it, um no! They should be the ones responsible for it until I get the phone, it’s like that in any other way when someone or a company sends merchandise, I got to the point where I went to another carrier and had to get a phone because I went so long without one. I need it for business reasons, so I will be contacting a lawyer to take further action against Allstate/square trade whoever they want to pinpoint it on to deal this.

    I bought a $20 warranty from Sam's, and I've had it two and half years when the pressure washer ended up messing up. The pump wouldn't work, and I was just gonna write it off. It's one of those things that happens and when you buy something, you don't expect it to last forever. My wife then said, "Well, I think you've got a warranty on it." So, I looked at it and it was a three-year warranty. I called Allstate and no questions asked, they credited me a new one. It was super streamlined and awesome.

    Within two days, because I had to get some information as well, the rep got everything ready. She said, "Do you want a check or do you want credit?" I said, "You can just give me the credit because I'm gonna buy another one anyway." It took five to eight days, but it wasn't a big deal because I knew it was coming. I went ahead and purchased another one from Sam's, then deposited the other stuff. I got the warranty as well. I normally don't buy warranties, but because of Allstate and their ability to take care of everything, I've bought warranties since then. The fact that Allstate took care of it so quickly, I was really impressed. I'm highly satisfied, and I have recommend them.

    The warranty came as a bundle pack with my 65" Samsung TV when I got it at Costco, after 3 years the board exploded, so I knew I had bought the warranty, what is weird is that if they have the information in the system why you have to go thru the trouble of removing your TV to get all the specifications, I guess some people called for the wrong equipment. After filing the complaint you have to call them for the next step, and explain over and over the same thing that you documented in the initial report online. I am glad I had a very polite and patient guy to guide me on several steps to make an approximate diagnosis, and after that they sent the parts and a technician lady came home and swapped the components..... and Bingo!! So, besides the initial process everything went smooth and I did not have to pay anything. The whole process took one week.

    Bought glasses with prescription from Sam's Club and added the Allstate Square Trade protection plan. Glasses broke I realized they are covered, went online, file claim. A lady name Barbara from corporate resolution team state that my policy was enter wrong. She was going to fix it. "Give me a few days and I will help you process your claim." Well today is 90 days lady…. Glasses are done and no compensation. Plus a whole bunch call back tomorrow. Lol this company should even be open they are cons artist; this company does not help the consumer, cons the consumer.

    This has been a complete nightmare since the beginning. I had no issue from start getting my claim reviewed and approved. I was sent a e-gift card through my email to replace the damage items that I had insured just to go and try to purchase the item and replace the item. I didn't and find that the money was not available on my gift card. So I contact Allstate and make a complaint and file complaint and find out what's going on. I also then was transferred to Walmart because they claimed that Walmart was responsible as the gift card was the issue. I contacted Walmart then tells me that it's actually Allstate's issue because Allstate failed to activate the gift card that I had received correctly and referred me back to Allstate.

    I contacted Allstate again who then this tells me that it was going to be escalated and I finally hear back from them three days later just to hear them tell me they want a handwritten note and all this other nonsense pictures and a bunch of nonsense because they screwed up. They're trying to refuse. They're trying to avoid paying for the claim I had already been approved for. Walmart stated that it was in fact because the company Allstate did not activate the card that they sent to me correctly so there should have been no issue for refund. Now I'm being dragged through the ringer on a joke of a note over God only knows what but what it seems to be is because they don't want to pay out.

    Don't go through these people. They need to be reprimanded for what they're doing. Something needs to be done. I don't know how many people go through this. I've had another issue with them from the beginning over a flat screen television set that I purchased through Walmart and in short through Walmart through Allstate and never ended up getting my claim processed and they I guess my insurance lapsed and I no longer could do anything about it. That's $500 worth of a broken television set that I purchased insurance for that I never got to use because Allstate is a joke.

They did not pay me all the money of the pool, but I got back 85% of the money I paid for it. That is fantastic. For other stuff, I can pass. But two months ago, I bought a K-cup coffee maker. The second one, I bought in Imons. The first one got broken and the company of the coffee maker did nothing. The second one, I put the insurance because if something went bad now, I am covered.     One of the buttons on my son's controller for video games stopped working. We sent it in and they sent it back to us telling us that they fixed two buttons even though one of them was fine and the one they were supposed to fix was still broken. Plus, the one they said they fixed broke a week later. We called them back and they told us that they closed our claim because once we use it, we can't use it anymore. I explained to them that it's the same buttons that are having those issues. And now, the one that they said they fixed even though they don't have to is broken.     My initial claim of a faulty, non-functioning, ice maker was never addressed. I communicated w/ Allstate indicating that I would prefer that Combs Service, of Brooksville (a family-owned company that I am familiar with) perform the service call.     I got Allstate’s protection plan on an Apple iPad, a Nintendo Switch and an android tablet. I made claims on all three items and they went good. We don't have very good luck with the Nintendo Switches. I did not purchase a protection plan on the first one I bought a few years ago and it quit working and was non-repairable right after the manufacturer warranty went out. So, when I replaced that one for my daughter, I purchased the protection plan. It got used a couple of times on that Switch and the last time, it was deemed as not repairable. So, they gave the e-gift card so we could replace it with a new one.

    Allstate had taken care of a cracked screen on the iPad as well as a charging problem that it had. The android tablet is my eight-year-old daughter's and she dropped it in water. And Allstate sent me a new replacement tablet for that one because I think it was damaged beyond repair. The claims were all done online and it worked perfectly fine. It was simple and straightforward. Once they received the item, I got an email update letting me know that the item was received at the repair facility. Then I got an email update once it was repaired and being sent back with tracking information.

    Allstate's reps were extremely helpful and responsive. I called them for a claim on a little butler cart. The level was not good so I can't really use it and the hardest thing was getting it all together. Allstate said it wasn't worth it for them to replace it, so they gave me a credit for that amount. I sent them pictures and all the information they would want. Then I saw the credit in 48 hours. I went into the claims process with skepticism because I thought they were going to give me a hard time. But they worked on my behalf and took care of it. When I see that they cover products, going forward, I will consider applying for the policy because it was such a good experience. They got your back if something happens, so I like that.

    My son plays rather rough with his controllers. He’s stronger than what he realizes. So, has had some issues with those breaking in the past. The experiences, for the most part were all positive on the outcome. Allstate was able to cover what we needed to have covered. It was a couple bucks short. They said to let them know if there's a difference in the cost. But it was more of a process and I just covered the difference myself. For my son, the protection plan is very valuable when it comes to basic wear and tear because he can be hard on the controller. He hangs on to it too tight versus losing it and dropping it. For the bang for the buck, the protection plan was definitely worth it versus not having it and having to pay the full price out of pocket. Overall, we're happy.

    I have tons of things with warranties through Allstate and have never had any problems with them until the phone. It's been since February 13th and I'm still waiting for the replacement for my Moto G Power. They have given me no tracking information and they keep telling me, "Two or three days, 24 hours later. The phone will be here by end of day. The phone will be here by the end of tomorrow, three days from now." It's been terrible.

    I finally got in touch with people after harassing them for almost three weeks, trying to find out new information about my phone and when it would be here, and they told me to contact Straight Talk. I contacted Straight Talk and Straight Talk told me to just take my receipt and my warranty all the way back up to the Walmart that I bought it from and demand they give me a new phone. It's just been a circle. I've given up on it because I looked at all the reviews for Allstate and there was nothing but bad reviews with people saying the same exact thing.

    The last claim I submitted was for my daughter's washer. The timer went out. The problem is if you buy this warranty and you buy a part, it's up to the seller. If the part is no good when you get it, you have to go back to the seller and not the warranty people. When I did the claim on the first part I bought, the rep asked, "Well, did it work when you bought it?" I said, "No, it didn't." She said, "Well, we can't warranty that."

    Also, when I log into the site, things are not just cut-and-dry. There's not an option for what I need. If I was able to get a hold or chat or email or something to somebody, that would be better. I was trying to talk to somebody about what I need to do because it wasn't clear on the website. They should try to make that easier to do online. It was a long process to get somebody. Other than that, they gave me a refund either on the part or on the warranty too.

    The customer service representatives at Allstate were horrible. I bought a TV through Costco. They wanted me to do their job when Samsung said that the TV needed to be repaired. There were two weeks of back and forth. “Take pictures of this. Take pictures of that. Do this. Do that. Unplug it. Factory reset.” We did everything they requested, and Samsung said it needs to be repaired. It took two weeks of complaining to finally tell the person that I wanted to speak to a manager. The repairman finally called and said, “Oh, I can just imagine what you went through.” I was doing their job instead of doing what Samsung told them to do.

    Allstate could be honest and they could take the advice that when the manufacturer is saying it needs to be repaired, send someone out to repair it. I must have sent them three videos. Then they said, “Well, you need to send us another video.” That was when I finally lost it and said, “You know what? I'm not doing your job. The manufacturer said it needs to be repaired. I'll just take this to social media.” It was amazing how fast I had a repairman schedule. Then the repairman called and said, “Well, do you have the parts?” I was like, “No. Because they told me you were just coming out to decide.” It's over two weeks now that I'm waiting for parts to come in to the repairman. It was beyond frustration.

    I purchased the Allstate plan because it was on two recliners. So, due to their mechanical nature, I thought a three-year coverage would be good. Unfortunately, both recliners malfunctioned, and one of them in a catastrophic manner. I put in the claims, and everything went through just fine.     Our daughter works for Nebraska Furniture Mart, and since she started working there, we simply buy most of our things there. We've purchased several things, and SquareTrade is the option for the extended warranty. Recently, we had an issue with our dishwasher. We did a claim and SquareTrade sent someone out and he fixed it. Within 30 days, it broke again and now they've replaced it. We got the check and we went out and purchased another dishwasher. It was a great experience. SquareTrade was very easy to work with. My only problem is that my floor got ruined because the dishwasher leaked. SquareTrade does not cover that. It just covered the repair of the dishwasher.

    We also have an ice maker claim out right now with SquareTrade. The ice maker was not getting water, so it was not able to produce ice. The guy came out to repair it and SquareTrade sent some parts, but all the parts didn't arrive before he came. He apparently did not know what part was expected to have available to him, so he did not know that he should have also had an ice maker there ready to install. He only had one part when he should have had two to replace, so they have to come back out to do the ice maker. I don't know if there was just a disconnect on this one. Because when I talked to somebody else, they said, "Oh, no, we share all that information. He should have known what parts he should have had." So, my only suggestion would be to let the parts arrive, and then schedule. The parts simply got held up in FedEx. It doesn't happen often, but it happens.

    I filed two claims and I tried doing them online and I had some issues. One of them wasn't showing up at first, the Chromebook and for the air fryer. Based on the reason I put in for the claim, I wasn't getting anything. They said they couldn't process the claim. But I called in for the Chromebook, and it was super easy. They were very informative and professional, yet friendly. They got it done within minutes and told me that I would receive an email with the information to ship the product back by FedEx, which I did, and I got that done either the next day or maybe the following week. So the process was very smooth. They got there, I tracked it and they sent it back. Everything was done within a week. So that was great. Based on how much I paid for that plan versus how much the Chromebook costs, I paid about $40. It was great based on what I got.

    When I was speaking to the gentleman about my son's Chromebook, he told me that it's another department that deals with air fryers, so I was able to get over to them. When I told them what was going on with the air fryer, they told me that they would be able to process a claim for that, and they did. I could either choose to have the money, a gift card or a check. I got back about 80% of what I paid for the air fryer and this was after having it for almost two years. They sent me a check to purchase my new air fryer. So it was great.

    The TV screen would get a big, black blotch on it, and it would spread, and you couldn't see anything. We initially contacted the third party company and after two and a half hours on the phone, they were not the people that needed to be contacted because the Allstate Protection that we had as a five-year warranty on the TV when we bought it was still in effect. The third party company told the Allstate people what the problem was, and then the Allstate's offshore person got on the line with us but she was totally given the wrong information about what the actual problem was. I ended up having to spend another hour or so with her on the phone, explaining exactly what happened.

    It was a situation where it ended up being a software instead of hardware issue, and I ended up fixing the problem itself. I was able to get it to a point where I got to the device maintenance application on the TV itself, and I ran that. I saw that the levels of cache and data on certain apps on the TV were extremely high, so I cleaned that out and the problem went away. By the time the rep from the Allstate Protection program called us, I had already taken care of the issue. What they were going to do was send out a maintenance person who was actually going to address it as a hardware issue, which it was not. However, the person that did call me was extremely helpful. So all in all, I wasn't extremely happy with it. The only positive effect of that was that we were told, and it was confirmed in writing, that we had a five-year warranty on the TV instead of three, which was printed on the box when we bought it.

    The process was a little dodgy because I didn't think that it was handled fairly the way it should have been. I bought an LG TV, which is not the top of the line, but it's not the bottom either. Then, when I went to exercise my warranty, they offered me a Hisense, which in my mind is not the equal of the LG.     At the time, my husband decided to buy a protection plan. It was only 5 bucks, but I'm not purchasing another one. We used the protection plan recently for a weed whacker, and it was difficult when I had to go on to try to upload my information to find the place because they kept wanting everything electronic. A weed whacker's not electronics. I also had to upload the information three times and the system kept saying, "We got your information," and then the next day, I get another email saying, "We need you to upload it again." I even spoke to a person on the chat and she verified that they received the information. In the end, Allstate sent me a check, but it wasn't for the full amount. It was prorated.     The first few days, I tried to make a claim with Allstate but the website kept shutting me down. It kept telling me there was an error. That lasted four days so that was frustrating. When I finally made a claim, it was smooth sailing after that. They walked me through the process, and within a few days, I got my replacement TV.     I had a recent claim for my damaged coffeemaker. They emailed me back saying that it was not possible to fix it. They were gonna keep the coffee maker that ultimately couldn’t get fixed. As soon as I gave them my receipt code on the bottom of the OR when I purchased the item, the process was quick online. That same day when I fill out all the questions and the stuff that I needed to fill out, they gave me the steps to send the damaged coffee maker back. The only thing was when they gave me the QR code or the code, I still had to pay out of pocket to get it sent over.

    Also, I didn't get a notification right away when the item was with them. I was just wondering if they got it or not. I was on edge. But I trusted and checked my emails constantly. When they actually got it, I got an email saying that they weren't gonna be able to fix it. But at least there could have been a heads-up, like, “Hey, we already got the coffee maker. We’ll give you an update in a couple of days.” My nerves wouldn’t have been all over the place then. In the end, Allstate kept in contact with me and it was great. I was given the option to choose between getting a refund or getting a replacement. I wanted a replacement.     I got a protection plan for an icemaker. When I bought it, the idea was that if it broke, I'd be reimbursed. But that wasn't the case and truth. When they asked for the receipt, I sent them a copy of it but I wasn't paid in full. The receipt was for $80, I got paid $50. Also, the price of the icemaker increased. The cost of a new one would have been $100 as opposed to the $80. Aside from that, the local repair people couldn't repair the broken icemaker. The repair would have cost more than the item and they found that out quickly. But after all was said and done, Allstate settled at $50 and to me, that means they didn't honor the agreement.

    We make claims online on the website, then Allstate gives either a credit for the amount in some cases, or they'll ask to ship the item to them. I've done it both ways. They'll either fix it or give me the purchase price. I can also send them an email or a chat, then they get back to me in a day. That's good. Allstate's price varies based on what is being insured, but it's reasonable in most instances. Overall, having a protection plan is quite valuable, but only if it is not too expensive. I've seen protection plans worth $200 for something that is worth $500. That doesn't make sense. I just roll the dice in those scenarios.

    I have Allstate on the phones and I'm glad I do. Typically, my husband and I haven't had phone insurance. We usually just have our old phone as backup and my son always made me get it because he works in the field where it’s a little rougher with stuff construction-wise. This time, my husband and I both ended up with $1,000+ phones and the Allstate protection plan was 120 bucks cheaper than the monthly plan. I was even told by them, technically, if I don't use it, I can return it for a refund if it has never had a claim or anything before the end of the contract.

    I ended up having my phone in my pocket, getting gas, and it fell out of my pocket face down onto the blacktop by the gas station, and cracked my screen. It wasn't even a couple months old. It was a $335 repair. I just deposited a $250 check last week. 85 bucks is a fair deductible because it's an expensive phone but I got back 250. My 120 is paid for two times already and I still have coverage. That's the first thing that happened to my phone in years, because the last time I had something happen, I didn't have insurance then. If you don't need it, fine. But if you do need it, thank God you got it.

    This claim was fairly easy to submit and figure out where to go. I submitted everything and then I ended up with an email back where it said I was approved and told me to go somewhere to get it fixed. I already got it done. So when I responded back and when it's already been fixed, there's a little bit of redundancy on the whole getting it done. But I had the check within the week. I already exceeded the purchase cost in money back in recovering a repair on my phone. But the Wireless Advocates is no longer in Costco, so we won't be able to buy phones at Costco anymore. Hence, I won't be able to buy the Allstate Plan. We just got phones in August and I had my last phone for four years, so I'm hoping to ride this one out for a little while, but I'm still bummed.

    I purchased a SQUARE TRADE Premium Warranty for a refrigerator and somehow they lost my info. I have been calling everyday for over a week and keep getting the runaround and they keep asking me to send more pics of my receipt and pics of my refrigerator with a handwritten not of the date and time the pic was taken. Then I am told everything has to go through email. This makes me feel even more sorry for the elderly who purchase a warranty and have little knowledge on using a computer to complete the process.

    I purchased this refrigerator a Nebraska Furniture Mart and they are no help whatsoever.     We bought multiple controllers and I pulled the receipts out and had them all jumbled together. So, I wasn't sure what receipt went with what box. When I had a claim, I had to call Allstate three times. The first time, the guy said we needed the right receipt. I wasn't sure what receipt it was, so the second time that I called, the girl said that I needed to submit an email with such and such receipt because there was not an open claim or policy. So I went online and went through each receipt and typed them all in. Finally, I found the one that was the receipt specifically for this controller. Then I called back the third time and the gentleman said that I needed to try to reach out to Microsoft. So I did reach out to them and they said there was nothing they could do for it and to call Allstate back.

    I called Allstate back and it was taken care of right then and there. So, this is the second time that we've had this happen. It wasn't explained to me till the second time. But it doesn't matter. The guy that I spoke to was a fellow gamer himself, and so he understood the frustration and disappointment when you start having issues and then you can't play. Then you gotta go to the store and call about the money, et cetera. So Allstate sent over an e-gift card.

    The gentleman told me that if there was a difference in cost, and if we submit the receipt, Allstate will end up giving us the difference somehow. But I told him, “I think the difference is only a couple of bucks. And I don't really care for the convenience and all that stuff. You guys are already doing us a big enough favor.” Granted we're paying for the insurance, but in my opinion, it's a big enough convenience just to get the majority of it back.

    Overall, the people at Allstate have been very patient and informative. But it would be nice if everyone across the board was trained the same way. If there is a drastic difference in cost, the people should know that the customer is being told that you do have the option to submit the receipt or however the process is to be able to get the money back.

    I used to be a manager of a call center and I know it's important that everyone's on the same page so someone is not telling the customer something and then they call back and someone tells them something different, or they're not knowledgeable of the product. But other than that, I've always been extremely satisfied with the entire process at Allstate. Every rep that I've spoken to has been very nice and helpful.

    I've been a customer of Allstate since I was 16. My father had Allstate, so I stuck with them. No matter where I lived, whether it's in the United States or in Canada, I just stuck with Allstate. Our protection plan was for the washer and dryer. Were having problems with the washing machine. It seems to be leaking. So, we filed a claim and it turned out it was not the washing machine.     I have two pumps down in the basement and one of them kicked in but the other wasn't keeping up. We had high water and the alarms went off. I called Allstate and explained the scenario. The first lady I spoke with hardly spoke English and she was very rude and didn't understand what was going on. Then, the manager came on and saved the day. They sent out a check and I was able to buy another pump. Also, they told me I could submit a supplemental order because the pump I had to buy was a few bucks more because of the price of inflation. It was pretty cool but I'm not really worried about it.

    The tablet wouldn't come on anymore. I called up the number that they had on the warranty. They were very helpful and patient with me. I had to hold on until they had something else to do as far as my claim, and whenever they came back, they always apologized. They sent me a free return label so that I could return the tablet. I did then it came back in four days after I had sent it to them. When I opened it up, it still wasn't working. It was doing exactly the same thing. I had it on the charger like they told me to but it didn't work. When I talked to Allstate about it and said that it still didn't work, they offered me a refund.

    I purchased this "protection plan" through eBay for an electronic item. The item was warranted for 90 days. Allstate refused to even look into it, telling me that the item has a 1-year warranty.     Allstate has been great to work with. I purchased a warranty for my TV several years ago. When my TV stopped working I remembered I had insurance with Allstate. I contacted them and they did have me spend some time finding paperwork and original receipt. But after that my warranty claim was accepted and I was reimbursed the original cost of the TV. At the time they said it would take up to 5 days to receive my check, I received it in 3 days. I would recommend Allstate insurance and will purchase insurance in the future.

    I got Allstate for an electric toothbrush that I got at Walmart. We had an Oral-B that broke down pretty fast. So, I said, "Sure. Why not?" We didn't even have the toothbrush for a year and it started having problems with the charge on it, and then it just wasn't charging at all. To submit a claim with Allstate, I had to send the toothbrush in. It was only a day before they got back to me and told me, "We're sorry, we can't fix it. It's non-fixable and we're going to just reimburse you for the item." However, I thought I was getting something in the mail, but it was a digital charge.     Any time I've had issues with anything, Allstate always fixed it, and every time, I've been satisfied. The only thing I would complain about is that there's one TV I couldn't find the receipt for, even though I purchased the plan for it, because I didn't register it, which was all my fault. They couldn't do anything with the claim. Luckily, I ended up finding the receipt. People need to make sure and fill out the information in when they first get the protection plan and also hold on to receipt. ‘cause if they don't, then they're SOL. Any time I buy something with a protection plan on it, I take a picture of my receipt so I can have it for our records.

    I've had two claims recently. The last one was for a TV that was plugged into a surge protector. We had a storm and the lightning fried the main board on the TV. I called the 1-877 number and started the claim that way. I had to give the TC number off of my receipt in order to do the claim, and the reps did a good job. The claim went through the manufacturer's warranty, and Samsung sent somebody to come fix it. There was a factory warranty still under the unit, then after a year, it goes to the warranty that I paid for through Walmart. The time before that claim, Allstate just went ahead and reimbursed me for the TV.

    Allstate is like an electronic extended warranty. All they really are is they provide either a replacement or a fix. It's something that you would buy when you purchased something electronic, maybe even a phone. Sometimes they cover things like bicycles as well. One of the speakers on my headphones detached. I looked on the receipt and called the number that was on it to replace it. Allstate reimbursed me for them. Get the warranty.

    I got Allstate Protection Plan for my Ninja blender. I don't usually purchase insurance for electronics, and the reason why I purchased that one was because I knew it was going to be every single day use. What drew me in was the price of the insurance. I also submitted a claim and it went well. I sent out an email and then they replied requesting information, serial number and what was wrong with the item.

    I went ahead and provided all those information and then they sent me a gift card. It's less than the amount of the blender cost, but they said that once I purchase it, I could email them back the copy of the receipt and they would send me the difference in a gift card form. The blender itself is $99 and they sent me a gift card for $69. I repurchased the same one and I'm in the process of scanning the receipt and sending it in. The card also came in quickly. What took a minute was, after I filed the claim, it took a couple of weeks for them to respond. I thought I had forgotten and I went in and just asked. I had to give again my claim number and see what was going on. But when I chatted online, that day, it was resolved.

    We had our television about three months and when we went downstairs and turned it on, it wouldn't. It didn't get any power. We took a picture of our receipt and did a claim online. We had to talk to a claims person and submit a couple more pictures, then we talked to another claims person. It was a bit of a process, and I would have preferred a reimbursement, but Allstate offered a replacement. I went to show it to my husband and it was gone. Apparently, it was a one time thing and I couldn't get it back, which sucked.

    When we were picking out our replacement, we had three televisions to choose from, Samsung and all these other good ones. The rep told us the selection would be good for 24 hours, that it updates every 24 hours, but it was gone within an hour. Allstate mailed the replacement straight to us, but the brand we got wasn't Samsung, which is what we wanted. It also says that the warranty will transfer over, but I went to set up the warranty online, and it wouldn't accept it. Besides that, my husband said the replacement is easier to work than our old TV.

    I bought a pressure washer and got a warranty for it through eBay. I used the pressure washer for about an hour the first time, then my son came in and said, "Hey, we're losing oil in the washer." I said, "What do you mean we're losing it? Is it leaking?" He said, "I don't see any leaks anywhere." He thought it was bleeding off somewhere into the water. I said, "Okay. Just go ahead and use it again. Just check all again and make sure it's okay." He used it again, then we lost almost all the oil. I'm not using the pressure washer now because, we gotta keep checking oil in it and if we ever lose all the oil and we're using it, then we're gonna burn the motor up.

    My GE Opal ice maker quit making ice and it started making a loud noise. It was just before the holidays and I called Allstate. Filing a claim was a little learning experience and I didn't get a lot of guidance. It was a pain in the butt because I called and they said I had to submit it through email. It was difficult to get a claim number. That took me a week or two. Then, once I got the claim submitted, I called a person and they eventually got back to me a week later, then another person a week later, and another person a week later.

    I needed to get a quote to submit back to Allstate but I reached out to three or four people to come look at it and nobody in my area will come out here. I got the chance to call Allstate back after the holiday craziness and they said I got to reopen the claim. The second time I called, they were amazing. The rep was very helpful and knowledgeable.     I've had good results with Allstate and they are good to work with. The coffeemaker had issues and the claim went great. Thank God, I kept receipts. Without that, it really gets tough to prove. But I don't like it that many times when I get to Allstate, it just has a plan number and it doesn't say what the item should be. That's not asking much at all but they don't do that and that just blows my mind. I have to figure out which one it is. Also, I logged into it last night and realized two of them were old. The item got returned and they did not refund me my money for the Allstate. But other than that, I had real good luck with Allstate. Every time I get a chance to purchase, I do.

    When we were buying the carpets, they sold the Allstate plan really well. They said it covers everything, pets, spills. We have five dogs and we spent 10 grand on carpet. But the process of filing a claim was horrible. We're a little challenged technically. The app that they have for it is hard to use. It didn't seem to work. I finally had to call and insist on speaking with a supervisor to do it for me, because the process online was ridiculous.

    First of all, they didn't have everything listed that was on there. I had to go back, pull last year's files out from my original receipt, and send them receipts of all of our carpets because they didn't have it. That was the first thing I had to do and that took about a week. They have this app. It's called Square that you're supposed to go into to file a claim and you click the item. It would only let you do one item at a time or one claim at a time. The whole claim process would have to be done before you could do the next one.

    Out of the 20 rugs we bought, I had nine then. I was not gonna send them out one at a time and then have them come back and do this for three months. So, I spent hours on the phone getting it set up. I had to tell them, “We are an elderly couple. We both have some disabilities. We need some help in this easy Square app and to get to a human on the phone.” They said, “If you're trying to file a claim, hang up and go to our website.” “No. I wanna speak to someone.” I’d get someone on the phone and they'd say, “You gotta do this.” I said, “I've done that.” It took many phone calls and several hours of time to get it taken care of. A supervisor had to go in and do it herself and get us in touch with someone to come take care of it. Then the tech did a great job. The company they used was really good. However, he took my carpet pads and didn't return them. So, I had to spend money to buy new carpet pads.
