    I purchased a protection plan for an electric recliner that lifts. I filed a claim because the mechanism for the hand device was broken. It was easy filing the claim. They were prompt about it and easy to talk to. They had a guy get ahold of me, and then looked at the problem. It would've cost more to fix than it was to replace. They asked if I wanted it replaced or wanted the cashback and I told them the cashback. It took two weeks to get it.

    I downloaded the most recent updates for the laptop, and when I turned it back on, it would not start. I clicked the link that was provided with the receipt, and I filed the claim. It was fast and easy. But I didn't go through with it because I realized that Walmart would offer me a full refund if I brought it back in the very next day. So, I didn't feel the need to go through the process of sending the laptop to Allstate for them to look at it. I just made a return. But I always get the Allstate protection plan when I buy technology because I knew, for situations like the one I had with the laptop, I didn't wanna have to go through the headache of explaining to Walmart if they didn't have a proper return policy. They've worked well for me.

    There was a problem with the left stick of my Xbox Series 2 Elite controller. It wasn't completely registering when I was pushing it in, and a few other buttons weren't working properly. I did a claim online, and it was fine and fast. Allstate had me send the controller in so it could be fixed regarding my issues. When it came back, a few parts of it were fixed, but my main issue with the stick got a little worse.

    I was supposed to send it back in, but it was around Christmas time and it was extremely busy for me. By the time I checked the thing that I had to print out to send the controller back out, it stated I had to send it by the 23rd, and I forgot to call 'cause it's been busy lately. Allstate is worth it depending on if you are willing to go through sending it in to get it fixed, instead of straight-up getting a replacement, and if you have the time for that.

    I had to file a claim to Allstate for a phone screen that was broken. It was slightly difficult at first because it was my first time doing it and I didn't really understand it too much, but I was able to figure it out.     I sent in a claim for my Samsung 55-inch smart LED TV. When you connected to the Wi-Fi, it would lose connection. I moved the TV closer to the modem. But I still had the same problem. I moved another TV in my bedroom to replace it and there was no problems with it. So the TV itself was having problems getting Wi-Fi signal. But the main reason why I called Allstate was because there was no sound. I did everything what they told me to but there was still no sound. I ended up tossing the TV away. But the claims process was very easy. My warranty expired two weeks after this happened to my TV but a supervisor was able to authorize the warranty for it. So I was very happy. It was very easy to work with. It was cheap, too. I paid $30 for an extra three-year coverage. I'll be purchasing this plan again if I buy the TV in the future.

    Allstate told me that they were going to cover my MillerBuilt blower for a year. Their reps were pretty helpful, but they pretty much told me that they couldn't help me when I had an issue. They told me to take it to the warranty place because the Allstate couldn't do anything about it. I didn't know that when I bought the protection plan that I was going to end up having to go through the warranty that I had anyway and I wouldn't have bought the protection plan if I had known that. Allstate also told me that if I took the blower to the warranty place it would be free, but it wasn't.

    So, I pretty much bought the protection plan for nothing and I ended up having to pay for a brand-new blower that never worked from the time I bought it. I had to take it to a warranty place and they had to adjust the carburetor, which was not my problem in the first place because it was brand spanking new. I bought the blower from Walmart and MillerBuilt told me that because I didn't buy it from them, that they were going to charge me $56. Despite that, I would still tell my friends to get the Allstate protection plan.

    I used the electronic warranty for a hoverboard for my granddaughter (the part on it where the charger plugged in broke), and the claims process was a bit confusing at first. It was well over the manufacturer's warranty, but when I first called, Allstate said, "Well, it might still be under warranty with the company." It seemed like I had to do a lot of the footwork to get it going.

    I had gone into my Walmart app to get the TC number so the rep could look 'cause he couldn't find it. I had the TC number, then he found it. It got straightened out and the guy was very nice. There was no problem there, but it was a slow process and it gets a little frustrating. I told the guy, "We pay for these for a reason." It seems like it's an act of Congress to get it to go through, but overall, it wasn't terrible. Allstate ended up sending me a check back for the hoverboard. All I wanted was to get my granddaughter another one, so I had already gone and replaced it, then Allstate sent me $40 something in a check.

    I've dealt with Allstate in other facets as an insurance, and they were good. But they've gone into this warranty business, they've bought out several of the other companies and made themselves a big-time player with little consideration to the consumers. Allstate Protection Plans paid the claim in a timely manner. But they did not do the claim as I asked, and no explanation as to why they didn't.

    None of my information from the facility I purchased the eyeglasses from coincided with what Allstate showed. It took the lady two hours to figure out what was going on and get everything situated to where I could make my claim. It was a bunch of mismatched information. I would never purchase another Allstate policy like that. Because the final straw was, it was through Sam's Club Optical, and I asked it to be put on to a Sam's card to where I could get another pair of glasses. They sent me a check. They couldn't even understand plain English. They did what they wanted to do.

    I've worn glasses for many years and they tend to get scratched. So, I went ahead and picked up a protection plan. They got scratched but the frames broke and that was what caused the scratched lens. Instead of taking my glasses, replacing the one lens and put them into a new frame, Allstate put everything back on me. I can deal with the little scratches up on top. And I took some gorilla glue for metal, filed the area clean, and attached gorilla glue. I've got a pair of glasses still.

    It wasn't a very good experience with Allstate. I purchased the plan on a Samsung washer that was pretty expensive from Costco and I had to jump through hoops just to get somebody from a foreign country to talk to me that couldn't understand a person in America. It took us almost two weeks to get anywhere with the claim. The person from Allstate said they'd send me the part and when the part comes in, they'd call a company in Midland, Michigan that will come and put the part in. That took two weeks. Then, it was the wrong part because they were trying to fix it over the phone instead of having a service guy come and diagnose everything. We had to go back and forth to Costco and then we found one person at Costco who was tremendous. If it wasn't for him, it was just not good. But I'll never buy anything from Costco as long as Allstate has their warranty because it was the worst experience I've ever had.

    I bought an extended warranty with Allstate for a dishwasher and 14 months later the dishwasher failed. I spent what I thought was an inordinate amount of time jumping through hoops to complete the claim process with multiple steps requested only to have the claim rejected based on my receipt from the appliance store not having enough specific info. I hunted down all the info from multiple sources I obtained from my files and emails and resubmitted. That didn't fly for them so I drove 30 minutes to the appliance store and they gladly created an acceptable receipt. I drove home and submitted it only to have it rejected 2 hours later based on the limit of my policy being 750 dollar purchase price but since I paid 800 they didn't have to honor the warranty. Not sure why they would sell me a policy that wasn't valid, but also it doesn't seem right that the validity of the warranty depends not on make and model of the unit but how much I paid for it. Be careful.

    My repair cost more than I paid for the phone but can't tell Allstate this because you won't get reimbursed at all if you do. What's the point of buy a protection plan that only cover 67% of the repair. Truthfully it's better than nothing but still having to basically come up with a doctored invoice and receipt makes it such a big pain in the **. I'm glad I bought the protection plan but wish they were more clear about the specifics of this plan.

    The process is absolutely stupid. It's purposely made more difficult so you'll just give up filing a claim. Still waiting more than 2 weeks for a check. The biggest kick in the teeth is the fact that they shorted me $7.99. I get the fact that they keep their part, but my total amount paid was $105.72 plus the $7.99 Squaretrade. They deducted $7.99 from the $105.72.... Double dipping. Horrible horrible company to deal with. Never again, never! Some refund is better than nothing, I'm sure they're aware of that so no one complains. Good luck finding an English speaking person to talk with. I'm sure purposely as well. Cheap labor, more hoops to jump through for a partial refund. What a big joke.

    AllState did great approving my claim...However, they say that you have a choice whether to receive gift cards or check... This is not true. They did not give me an option and now I am being forced to buy from the place that I bought for to begin with which their products are garbage. We tried to work with them on changing the gift cards out but all they say is that they cannot do anything.     When I filed the claim on my TV, I was told I would be given several options to choose from and if I did not find them acceptable they would refund the amount I paid for the TV. After I reviewed the choices I sent an email asking if there were any more options, that none of the TVs were comparable. I was told to keep checking and that there would be more options available, I continued to check but the options did not show up. I asked for the cash value and would purchase a new TV independently. I was told this option was not available and I needed to select one of the options, only now there was only one option left.

    I paid 349.00 dollars for my TV and you wanted to replace the TV with a $250.00 off-brand TV. I had no choice but to accept your offer but that does not mean. I will not continue to post a bad review across all social platforms about your Warranty. I was willing to buy another warranty on a new TV but that was not an option either. I will never purchase another Protection Plan Warranty from Allstate.

    Both controllers were broken and I filed first claim and they told me to buy a new controller and send in the receipt for reimbursement which I did, so I went ahead and bought the other controller "which required sending in the broken controller to buy the new one" and I go to file the 2nd claim and it said for me to call, so I call to be told if I don't have the 2nd controller they won't honor the warranty, I honestly feel cheated, so you're good for 1 thing being covered. After that they try to find a way to not pay.

    All was great, except the communication regarding where and when (date/time) it would be delivered. They took care of me promptly and thoroughly, and I appreciate that they made good on the claim. I was told an adult would have to sign for it at delivery, and I could choose date/time.     What makes me buy the protection plans is because I have a five-year-old toddler. Nothing survives as long as it should in my house because we're rough on stuff over here. I've utilized Allstate a lot. Every time I've had to file a claim, it's always been pretty easy. There's only been one time so far where there was something wrong with their system. I got upset when they were telling me what was going on and they initially were like, “Yeah, we can't do that.” But the manager was able to explain to me that the lower-down didn't know that there was a problem with the system at that moment that they were working to correct.     My laptop started not working all of a sudden, and it gave a Microsoft error message that it needed something. I took it to a computer repair place, and they said that the processor was not working properly. It was only operating at 30%. The tech gave me the diagnostic report and said there was no way to recover the data. I was very disappointed. I had that computer for eight years and the last time I did a backup was a year ago because I've never had a problem until that day. I started the claims process with Allstate and filled out the information that was required online. Someone called me after that, and we went through it, but it turns out, fortunately, I did not have to end up getting my laptop replaced.

    The help desk guy was marvelous. I needed to get a special key type password to put in there, and he was able to walk me through to getting that through my Microsoft account. The computer came on, and he asked me for access so he can look at the computer to see if there was anything wrong with it. The processor is not as good as it was eight years ago, but he walked me through and did some diagnostics on the computer. I haven't had trouble since, and I'm hoping it stays that way. It was a wonderful experience. I was very impressed.

    I bought swing arms for a Chrysler Crossfire and when I ordered the parts online, the Allstate plan was offered and I selected it. I got a plan for each part I bought. I filed a claim on those parts because the car had an accident. I called Allstate to see if the parts were covered and their reps were excellent. But they said that they weren't covering an accident, so the plans did not help me. For each plan, I paid about half the cost of the part it covers. That was a bad financial decision and it cost too much.

    Had warranty on a Onn TV. Second one I had an issue with. Same make and model. Make a long story short. They had me buy a new remote and the issue was after 30 min the TV would overheat (Fire Hazard). The motherboard needed replaced but, they wouldn't send a technician out to fix it because they said it would do it when the tech would turn the TV on because it does not overheat right away and they will not have a technician wait lol!     I have been using electronic computer style typewriters with very small capacity memories, which then merged into actual computers with large storage capacities, since 1986. As a hobby, and to add to my skills, I have bought, used, repaired, restored, and resold Apple computers since 1998, as well as used PCs of various kinds to understand their operating systems better, and to use them for work related jobs that Apple was closed out from. As usual, I applied all the check system evaluations before calling. My Apple 13" MBP was definitely not charging, and I explained this to the first "rep" I spoke with. That conversation did not go anywhere- apparently there is a language barrier on their part, and an assumption that I am not techy enough to figure out how to.

    I ended up speaking with 3 more agents over the course of nearly 4 hours in one day. Finally, the last agent, who spoke very good English, seemed to understand that AllState would need to repair or replace my computer battery without further ado. I wish that I had their name so I could give them the credit for quickly sending me a return shipping label via FedEx. Within a week my computer was returned in its originally perfect state, with a NEW BATTERY!!!

    I would like to make a couple of suggestions, if I may. I have been in business in many arenas for over 60 years. The first, most important lesson to learn in order to provide superior customer service is to listen, and understand, what is being communicated. I have found over many years that reps jump to conclusions too quickly. Apparently the first three reps wanted to wrap up our conversation by trying to send me to a "repair" person, and that was really unnecessary. Had they listened they would have established the fact that I knew more than all of them combined what needed to be done. Second, all customer service reps of foreign nationalities, without prejudice, need to read the English dictionary and improve their language speaking and skills. Thank you for letting share.

    This was absolutely the worst customer service experience that I have been privy to. The mis-communication and lack of communication was horrific! I have many products under warranty with Allstate; never was there an issue regarding claims. The short version and resolution: the tv that was furnished as a replacement even though I rejected the resolution does not match the specifications of my 2019 that was being replaced. The refresh speed is slower and the picture is horrible. I work in technology; so I am well aware of the discrepancies. I also informed them that I coould not be home to receive the delivery as it required a signature. I had to take the day off of work costing me the same rate if pay as the cost of the crappy tv. I was told the Fedex needed a signature; guess what no signature needed! What an awful experience!

    Our 43" Tivio TV required a repair. I looked at the warranty and examined the TV. I took pictures of the entire front, and sides, a close-up of the screen damage, and a back panel for SN and other TV identifiers. I took the time to explain what had happened, only to be told I damaged or cracked the TV Panel. As I explained to the Representative, we watched TV in the morning before heading out for shopping. Upon our return we turned the TV on, only to see the screen seemed to be cracked, not a physical screen crack, but a cell crack. I was transferred to a Tivio Rep who asked me similar questions and asked for any pictures.

    3 days later, I had a message saying I damaged the TV and that any repairs would not be considered. I contacted Allstate and explained everything and they in turn asked for the photos. They told me a decision would be made in a few days. A few days went by, and they also left me a message saying I broke the TV, which made the warranty invalid. I understand how some people might want to get something repaired if they broke it, but we never touched, dropped, or mishandled the TV, so we were dumbfounded. Regardless, we quickly boxed the Tivio TV up, purchased a new Samsung, and got another extended warranty via Costco.

    I have had the worst experience with Allstate protection. I made a claim on November 26, Allstate canceled my order on the 10th shipping day which was on a Friday. Then they did not order a new one until the following Monday. Everyone that I talked to could not help me, couldn't give me any information regarding tracking or the order number. The only person that sort of helped me was the last women I spoke to Ariel she said that she will consistently look at my account and send me updates when she can. I would not recommend to purchase the warranty plan here just because of how slow this process is along with the staff. I am currently still waiting, I was told I was not going to receive my replacement tv until after Christmas, 1 month it will take for a replacement. Ridiculous!

    In January of '22 I purchased a LG C1 (I now know this is the model) television from Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas. They sold me an insurance policy - repair or replace- at the store to cover my investment. After expressing concern about these policies just being a money grab, Thomas informed me it was a policy from Allstate and that they were reputable. As this was an expensive purchase for me, I added the policy for an additional $249.00. Thomas told me the price I paid for the policy was based on the price of the item being covered and this was a higher end TV.

    In November of '23 the TV started turning itself off while we were watching it. I called Allstate and they promptly sent out a repair technician who made an attempt at fixing the problem. The 'fix" did not work and I was advised by the tech that Allstate would either replace my TV or send me a check for the purchase price. All of which is stated in the policy agreement. The next day, I got an e-mail advising that Allstate was going to replace my TV and to take the link to accept this solution. There was only one option on the next page, that I assumed was the updated descriptor of the current model year, equivalent to the TV I purchased almost two years prior, which is the promise in the agreement. Trusting Allstate, I accepted the offer of replacing my TV.

    I then found out I was wrong! They were replacing "a" TV but attempting to replace my ’65 TV that I paid almost $1,800 (retail) for with a much lesser model that was two levels below my current model, retailing at $600. I declined the delivery and when I called Allstate to point this error out, I found out it wasn't an error, it was an intentional act on their part to which their rep advised this downgrade was okay – stating I accepted the offer. I advised him that I trusted the company’s integrity and assumed they were doing exactly what their policy stated they would do by replacing my current TV with like kind and quality in a current model. I never dreamed Allstate would practice deceptive tactics.

    They are taking advantage of senior citizens and consumers that are less knowledgeable in electronics by sending lesser value replacements in lieu of the promise to replace what you purchased. This is FRAUD! Their agreement states they will replace your existing electronic or refund you full purchase price. The only part of their promise they attempted to keep was the size of the TV. How many other policyholders have been defrauded by Allstate?

    I recently had to put a claim in because I spilled some black coffee on my computer. I took it in to get looked at and get an opinion. Allstate said I'd need a whole new board and to get the board would have cost $1,300. At first, they said that was what I needed to do. So I was thinking they could pay me and I'll get a different computer at that price because my computer value was 1,499. I went after them again. It was interesting that Allstate gave me different answers such that they were gonna have to try to get the parts or have to take my computer back to where I had it looked at and have them order the parts. Then when I just didn't think that was a good idea and I called back, someone had decided that they would give me a refund. I didn't have to push too hard but it was just weird that I got two different answers. But I was glad with the second answer they gave me.

    I was glad to find out that I had this policy that covers spills. It was the first time I've ever spilled anything on a computer. It saved me $1,400 and I was able to get a new computer. Allstate did a refund without giving me too much hassle and my check came quickly. Initially too, they told me that I would have to ship my computer to them. And then I called them back and said I didn't like that idea. I asked if I could take it to some place in my area and they said I could do that and make sure it's a reputable place. So they were open to suggestions for doing something different.

    When I bought the new computer, they didn't give this plan with it because I bought another one at Costco. But I purchased a policy with Allstate that covers spills and damages. A lot of them don't cover spills. And you just never know when that could happen. If something like that happens on a keyboard, you might as well call it quits. The price is reasonable. I paid this time 99 for two extra years of coverage.

    The insurance was only $5; however, it's basically useless. Just how long are we expected to wait for a replacement. It's better to buy a controller at Best Buy. When it breaks, which they always do, you simply return it to the store for a replacement. I truly doubt that we will ever get the replacement. Can you imagine, the language says that once we find a replacement, it will take 2 - 3 business days to send it out to you. Just how long will they look for the replacement?

    My only issue with the warranty was that I couldn't get the air conditioner fixed which was what I really wanted and that they issued me for refund on a card that has so many restrictions on it and you have to use it or lose it and I just don't agree with those types of terms.     When purchase the plan at Home Depot no one ever mentioned you can only be reimbursed with a gift card. I had to wait a week to get the washer serviced.     I have a robot vacuum. I heard people are having problems here and there. I purchased a protection plan from Allstate when I purchased the item. I made a claim when the item wouldn't charge at all. The claims process was bumpy. They said, "What do you wanna do?" "I'd like you to replace it." They sent an email and looking and checking my email, they said they're not gonna replace it, they're gonna send me a gift card. So, I said, "Okay. Why did you ask me?" They said, "Oh, they couldn't find one that to replace." It's a robot vacuum. They can. There are tons.

    I wanted them to replace it because I felt like it was advantageous to me. I bought the insurance and the prices on everything have gone up. So, I wanted them to replace it instead of just giving me a gift certificate and have me have to go out and shop for it. They sent me an E-card and I still don't have a vacuum. I'm busy. Now, I gotta go shop for a vacuum. So, it's not really over. Everybody was fine. It's just the policy. I asked to talk to a manager, and he said, "We don't replace vacuums. We don't. I don't understand why they have an email going to you asking you what you would like done because we don't do that ever. Never." He's a nice enough person. I don't think that he was lying to me.     I found out on most of my products I never have to use Allstate Protection Plans 90% of the time because the products are good. I purchased it on certain things that go outside like game cameras and things that take a rougher environment. The two times I used them, they were good. But they need to have some way to connect them with the product I purchased them with. When I buy a plan, they don't put on the plan what item is on it. I have to tag everything together and that's the drawback of Allstate. Even when I buy it from the store, if I don't staple for it all together or write everything on the pamphlet and put the receipt together, I'm screwed. It's a big process. And I gotta put it all in my file cabinet. It's awful.

    I found that if I don't do it right then and there and correctly, I would not know what product it goes with. And when I'm shopping on Amazon and I may purchase three or four of them together, how could I tell which one went where? It shows the amount of money that it goes between the spread of amount of money that I purchased it. But it doesn't make sense. It's awful and it's frustrating sometimes. So, I couldn't print all this stuff out and put it on my printer and be able to go back to it easily and find out what goes where. I've done it for a while and I figured it out, but I would staple it all together and put it in my file cabinet with my paperwork for my item with Allstate. There was no secret number that went with what I bought with it in the early days.

    The last thing I did was I had to return a printer. I called Allstate and told them about the issue I had. They sent me a voucher through my email to get another printer and told me to do whatever I wanted to with the printer I had. They didn't want me to send the thing back to them. Cost them too much money. I had to come out of pocket just a bit, but not much.

    At first, I wasn't getting a protection plan, but I was noticing that all of the things that I bought are not through Walmart and they don't always work. I spent over $300 on a motorized little car and they said to charge the car and I did. After my son rode for an hour, the car would never charge again. I bought a battery and I spent close to $400 on this car. Since then, even if it's a $12 toy, if it says $2 insurance, I buy it.

    I had a claim with Allstate for a scooter that I purchased. First, they got my demographic information and then they tried to find a repair shop in my area. It was all in one day. It didn't take that long when they got back to me. They contacted the repair shop and the repair shop was saying that it would cost more to repair the scooter than what it was worth so they just refunded my money. It made me feel like I need to insure all these crappy little toys. The only thing was there was no way to speak to a live agent. It's always a chat. But they should give you both options. Other than that, it's great to get those insurance plans on those toys.

    I got a protection plan from Allstate Protection for an awning. I got it online and there was a follow-up email when I applied for it, and then there was a notation on my account for their item. I filed a claim and they only make you do it online and it was cumbersome to do such. They did take care of it. It took several telephone calls and emails, but there seems to be this hesitancy to talk to people live on the front end. So, they keep trying to send you through a web portal that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I found that to be frustrating. The insurance seemed a little expensive, but it worked out. I was successful in my venture of replacement. It did take some time, but it was replaced with a dollar amount where I could buy another one. It was interesting that they wouldn't just send me the exact item. They gave me money to buy my own, but it was just an extra step.

    We needed to have our TV replaced because it broke and Allstate insisted that I needed to take it somewhere to get the TV repaired. We live remotely and the closest place was over an hour away. And in the beginning, they pretty much refused to allow me any other options telling me that somebody would come to our house to repair it. So, it took over a month for me to call all these different places that they requested that I call just to be told that they couldn't help me. Then finally, I was able to call back and they allowed me to have a TV mailed to me, which then took another three weeks to get done.

    So, it was hard to get a replacement TV and we barely got one. The claims process was complicated because you file a claim then you have to call them. Overall, I made six calls just to get it resolved. Also, I loved our old TV better than the stupid TV they gave us. We've already had issues with it and I don't know if it's refurbished. But we're just stuck with it now.

But he was able to resolve it in an instant by saying he'd send out a new TV. He said it'd take a week or two, and I had no problem with that since I wasn't in a rush. But two hours after I hung up the phone with him, I got a text message from Allstate stating that my TV was on its way. He somehow got it expedited to have it come the next day at 10 o'clock in the morning. That's top-notch service and I appreciate what he did. The only thing is, my old TV was a Samsung and they gave me a different one.

    I also bought a $65 microwave from Walmart and we had issues with it. My daughter had to push the "make popcorn" in it twice and if my kids would make frozen dinner, it'd stay on the back of the box for 5 minutes and would still be frozen. Walmart didn't want to do anything about it and they just told me to call Allstate because it was past the 30 days. All I was asking for was store credit so I could get a new one. But when I called Allstate, they took care of it right away and sent me the money back instantly. It happened in a matter of 24 hours because they sent me an e-certificate.

    All in all, Allstate has been phenomenal and the only thing they could improve on is the waiting. Also, when using their app, you'd have to put everything in in order to get someone to even contact you and do something about your concern. If I was to file a claim on the app, I would put in every detail I could. But then they'd ask 1001 questions, which would involve everything I would have already done.

    I purchased a mattress at Big Lots and the protection plan 1 year ago. In one year the mattress is sagging and causing major back pain. I'm consistently being told by customer service my protection plan covers the free mattress protector they send you-- not the mattress. I would not pay 99 dollars for a free mattress protector. You can buy a mattress protector for less. Then they say you have to report the claim within 30 days. 30 days of what? A mattress doesn't sag in 30 days. I talked to Big Lots Management and they told my protection plan is an extended warranty that covers the mattress. I've talked to both companies several times and keep getting the same results.

    Meantime I'm sleeping on a 1300 dollar sagging mattress that's a year old. I've have this plan on my tv and mattress. Thank God the tv is good. I'll never buy this plan or from Big Lots again. To add insult to injury, several customer service reps tried to refund the 99 dollars to avoid responsibility. I don't want that refund; I want to get some sleep. SMH.

    I had serious hard drive problems with my iMac 27", a computer that is key to our video editing. I decided to have it repaired. Luckily, I recalled I had a Square Trade policy, however figured it had expired. It hadn't. Still had a month to go. I contacted Square Trade. They verified the iMac was still in coverage and recommended I take to an Apple authorized service provider. The Austin Genius Bar said the drive passed basic test, however had a kernel loss problem. They recommended we have the mechanical drive replaced by an SSD drive, however the Apple Store couldn't make the switch. We ended up at another Apple authorized provider, MacTronics in Austin.     The team that came and eventually repaired my 82" Samsung TV for Cone Appliance (Scott and Scott) were excellent. The process to get to the actual repair took a bit of time and included multiple calls to multiple entities. Here is my experience: I bought a Samsung 82" TV from Costco 2 years ago with a 5 year Allstate protection plan. Recently my TV Picture went completely out. No power to the TV. Doing my own troubleshooting it was apparent that the power board must have gone bad. I called the Allstate customer service Number to start a claim.

    Their system was down for approx 4 hours so they could not submit my claim until my 3rd call to them when their system was back online. Basically they filed a claim with Samsung and instructed me to now call Samsung Service. Upon reaching Samsung service they advised me that it would take a week for someone to come to look at my TV. After Samsung gave me their claim number, they told me Cone Appliance would be reaching out to me to confirm the repair appointment. I then had to call Cone Appliance to explain the them what the issue was with my TV.

    The dispatcher at Cone Appliance listened and informed me that she would order a new power board for my TV so the repair techs would have the part when they arrived for my repair appointment. When the repair techs arrived they quickly determined that it was the power board, but they did not have a power board with them as apparently the board was not previously ordered as expected. They had to come back 2 days later to replace the power board... When they returned they replaced the power board in less than 15 minutes and my TV worked fine. It took a while to get there but I am happy that the board replacement did the trick.

    We had this same chair before and loved it. But the bonded leather just disintegrated over time. We went to buy the same chairs & explained to the salesman at NFM about the last chairs. He assured us if we bought the Allstate Protection Plan we'd be covered if that happened again. Also covered against spill, tears, animal destruction, etc... So the leather on the back of one of our year-old chairs is starting to do the same thing the last ones did. No problem, we thought, because we bought the protection plan.

    But turns out, they won't cover this because it's not a "burn, spill, or tear". So the one thing we asked about when we were sold this protection plan, isn't covered. That is an unacceptable way to do business. There should be some liability responsibility somewhere. We actually bought two of these chairs and wasted our money on 2 Protection plans that now seem to cover nothing.

The call could take all day with no time estimate given. This is unacceptable. Similar appointment was given on 11/7/2023 between 8 - 12 pm and never received a call from them. Ended up calling SquareTrade then Samsung to find out no part was available and in backorder. I feel this is a gimmick to buy time, while the customer is without the main TV. Again unacceptable!     I have a plan for a Samsung 60-inch television. When I purchased it, it came with a two-year factory warranty from Samsung. I purchased a three-year extended warranty through Allstate. Exactly one year and five days after the purchase, the TV went to a black screen. I dealt with Samsung for seven weeks and they kept running me around and telling me that the TV did not come with a two-year warranty. They insisted that I got a one-year warranty from Samsung, and the second year is through a third party called Assurant. Samsung kept submitting a work order for a repair, and no one in my area was willing to work on the TV through Assurant Insurance. Everybody told me, if Samsung is going to pay for the repairs, they'd be more than happy to fix it. But if it's through Assurant, they wanted no part of it.

    I called Allstate to ask if I had to wait until the two-years was up before I could inform them of what was going on. The rep was great. He made a three-way call between me and Assurant, and tried to help me, which I really appreciated. And when the call was finally done, the Allstate rep told me that if I didn't get satisfaction with Assurant, call them back. He was very helpful. Three weeks ago, I got a check in the mail from Assurant, so there wasn't any need to call Allstate back.

    Less than 3 years and I had 3 different service calls (LG Washer), after the 3rd visit the tech said it's no good and need a new one (he was in house for less than 10 min). He took the parts that were sent and informed me I would hear something within 1-2 business days (I called 4 business days later). 3 weeks later and I have had to call 3 different times to get an update and finally was told they will send a 'Payment' to reimburse me (had to call a 4th time to find out how much).     Now I have to spend extra money on a new washer, pay for another warranty, take a day off work so I can make all this happen, and I'm waiting 5-7 more business days for a 'Payment'. SLOW process that had me going from website to sending emails to calling multiple numbers to talk to the warranty service, service tech, service tech coordinator, and kept being told 1-2 business days which was a lie. He did great telling us about it but it doesn't match up with what Allstate covers. So, that needs to be fixed. Allstate should have an updated information. Also, the coverage wasn’t detailed. The dogs tore up the pillows as well and that was a big ordeal. So, it was annoying. But otherwise, dealing with the customer service team was okay. I'm glad I'm done and over with the claim. Hopefully, my dogs won't do it again.

    I have multiple items with Allstate Protection. One of my recent ones is a game system. I got the plan for it to make sure that it can be replaced if it malfunctions within the first few years because most electronics do. I went online and filed a claim. They asked me some information about what was going on with the device. After that, they let me know my options. Recently, my Switch went down, and instead of them just giving me a refund for it, they told me I had to send it in. I didn't like that they were not sending me anything to send it in.

    My concerns for other people and even for myself, is if I don't have it at the time to send a box with technology in it to them to get fixed, which would cost me money, that means I won't be getting it fixed off the warranty. They keep the claim open until they feel like you're supposed to send it. I'm having a little difficulty with that one right now, but most of the claims have been easy. They just tell you the refund amount and give it to you at the store. Most of my purchases are at Walmart. So, they give me a Walmart card, and then it goes from there.

    When I was having trouble with my Switch, I contacted services. It frustrated me that day, and I haven't called back yet. I also sent an email, but I haven't gotten anything. The website is great. It would just be nice to have someone to chat with more. Also, if you wanna stop a claim, it has no option to stop the claim. It gives you an option to cancel the warranty, but if you wanna just stop a claim at that time, it's a little hasty for me to pay for me to send it in for them to see what's wrong with it, and then tell me if it's feasible enough or they're gonna send me back my money. Allstate is very beneficial. It's necessary. I love the amount because I got a fair price for the amount of years. I really enjoy and I'm gonna keep buying my protection plans especially from Allstate. I have multiple positive things to say about them.

    Allstate's website is easy to navigate. But I bought a television and they don't cover it. It doesn't go for a broken screen or it's only mechanical details. It would be great if within so long if it breaks, they could cover it. But the first time was good. It was for a laptop. The screen broke and Allstate fixed it. I was glad about that. They do up to about two to three times.

    We started out having a problem with the bottom freezer with ice buildup. The first time Allstate made an appointment for someone to come out, the company never showed up. When I called about that problem, the guy told us that we needed to defrost the freezer first. We took out all the food, defrosted it, followed the instructions, and cleaned it out. When we plugged it back up and were waiting on it to cool off, it stopped working. When a tech came out, they determined the power cord was burned. Allstate mailed a check for the reimbursement. The whole process took a month. We had a good experience.

    My JBL speaker wasn't charging properly and I could tell it was messed up 'cause it was cracking. I mailed it out to get it repaired but they sent me a gift card instead. I don't want the gift card. They're reimbursing me the 139 when it's a $240 speaker. I'd rather have the speaker and just get it repaired myself somewhere else. They sent me a prepaid shipping label, which is fine, but I had to get my own box. If I paid $139 for the speaker, then it's fine for them to give me a 139 gift card and I can get another speaker of the same value. But I can't get the same speaker. Other than that, their rep was great and she did awesomely. She guided me through the process.

    I recently made a claim through the Walmart app that sent me to Allstate, which they have a contract with. I answered a few questions about what was wrong with my device and then it said, "All right, your device qualifies." Then it came in a week later. This time, it was easy. Other times, I had a rough time making a claim with them because they said the device was still covered by the manufacturer's warranty. But, the manufacturer didn't wanna pay it off because they said, "We're not responsible for whatever it was damaged for." I had to go back to Allstate and explain to them what was wrong with it, and then the call would cut off. I had to start all over with someone else. But besides that, I haven't had any issues with them. Everything was straightforward. They were helpful.

    The cooktop would turn on by itself, or it would turn off the burner I'm cooking on when I hadn't touched it or asked it to turn it off, or sometimes it could change the temperature. I went back to my eBay account where I had purchased it and it directed me as to how to do the claim. I had to send in a copy of my sales ticket then it sent me to another website. I called the other website and it opened up into an information page. I followed the directions on the information page and spoke to somebody. They told me to contact the manufacturer because it should have still been under warranty. It was only a couple of months old. This was a paint. I contacted the manufacturer and the only time I ever got a response from them was 4:00 in the morning.

    The next night, I sent them an email. Within 30 minutes, I had a response. They wanted me to tell them what was happening and what I had done. Then the next contact said, "Stop using it immediately." I came out in the middle of the night to get a drink and all my burners were on. They were flaming red. It freaked me out. I even tried to lock it because there's a mechanism where you can push one of the sensors and it should lock the whole panel. The lock didn't even work. They wanted me to send them pictures of what the controls were doing. I sent them pictures and like I told them in the email, I said, "It's hard to send you pictures of something that does what it wants, when it wants." Sometimes it'll do it, sometimes it won't.

    They asked me to have somebody come out and look at it, and I would pay for it then send them the bill. They said they would authorize $35. I said, "You're not getting anybody in this country to come out for $35." That was the first problem. I called a bunch of people and nobody had any information on this cooktop. I called electrical people because they wanted me to have somebody electrical come out. Then I started calling appliance people and the appliance people had never heard of this unit and didn't know where they would be able to get parts to fix it. Nobody wanted to come look at it. I told them that. Then they offered to send me 80 bucks and close the claim. I said, "No. I paid a lot more than $80 for this unit and I'm gonna have to buy another one." They're now over $250. They didn't even respond after that.

    I went ahead and contacted Allstate again because I've done everything everybody asked me and I was still stuck. They said they were gonna pay what the claim was for and sent me $236 on a prepaid Mastercard. I have spent more than that buying another stovetop. But I'm good. The process was awesome and I understood why they had to send me to the manufacturer. I had a problem finding a 36-inch cooktop though and I ended up having to wait a little bit. I went directly to Allstate and bought a protection plan for my new unit because the people I bought it from on eBay did not offer an Allstate protection plan. I'm selling iPhones on eBay and some of them have a manufacturer's warranty left while some of them only have a partial manufacturer warranty left. I would like to be able to offer people a full warranty. I would like to know how we can offer Allstate to our customers.

    I bought insurance for a Fitbit purchased on Amazon, because the price was so good I was unsure whether I should believe that it was a new item, as advertised.

    I’m so glad I did! It quit working after just 2 months and Fitbit said it wasn’t covered by their warranty.     I had a claim for the recliner. When I took off the throw blanket from the recliner, I noticed it was coming apart from where it was sewn. It was like the material was old and it started unraveling. We took a picture and sent it to Allstate. I also submitted the receipt and the warranty that I bought. After an hour, I got a thing stating that they had received the claim and that they were gonna look it over. Then they said because it was a big item and I couldn't send it back, they were just gonna refund me the money I had paid. I haven't used it yet but I kept the e-card from Big Lots with the number on it and I can use it when I go into the store. But I would've liked the hard card. Allstate should think about other elderly people like my age who are not computer savvy.

    I purchased a Samsung 70” TV, along with an extended warranty from Sam’s Club on 10/30/2020. On 10/06/2023 the TV stopped working. I filled a claim under the extended warranty on 10//07. I was given a claim number and told a repair service would contact me within two business days. They never did. I called them twice but was only able to leave a message. They never called back. Little did I know this service had a consumer rating of 1.7! Once again I contacted Square Trade and was given another repair service. They were much better, they called me. Today my TV was repaired, 18 days after filing the claim. Make your own decision, but I would never buy another extended warranty with Square Trade.

    It was easy process to get the claim complete. I thought I would be declined and refused like every other company but Allstate had friendly people who are sympathetic and hassle free process. More companies should operate like this and understand that we pay a fee to feel secure and when we need items replaced it should be done without feeling an additional burden. I will use Allstate again.
