    Very poor. Did not cover one cent. Not worth the money. One day out of warranty (30 day). It was hanging on the wall. Never fell off, just hanging there. They would not cover it. Bought at Walmart. One day over their warranty. MFG said screen was broken. Would not do anything. $ 500.00 tv lasted 31 day hanging on the wall.

    I was pleased with how easy it was to file the claim and get the technician scheduled. But we were having the same issue we had 6 months prior. I told the rep what was going on and she sent all of the wrong parts. So the tech came and now since we need different parts than what was ordered, he has to get the parts and come back for a 2nd visit.

    My dishwasher broke - the upper shelf had several parts that snapped off so the shelf could no longer be used. Repairman was sent before the necessary parts had been received. 12 days later I still am waiting for any contact or a new appointment to be scheduled. It seems a bit too long to have to wait! I would love to have a dishwasher that works again.

    For years I've paid for Protection Plans and never had a need to use them. In Jan 2024 my TV screen went bad. 4 days after submitting my claim, a replacement TV was mailed.     In 2020 my sister purchased me a night owl security system from Sam's Club, along with a warranty plan from Square Trade for three years, after the manufacturer warranty expires. My night owl security system stopped working in November 2023, However, in my sister's Square trade Allstate account the security system warranty was expired and she was unable to transfer it to me or make a claim.

    After contacting their chat support I found out they cover the same 1st year that the manufacture warranty covers, but Allstate square trade does not allow claims if the manufacture warranty is still in effect and will cover the claim, so the first year of your Square trade warranty is completely pointless. So I purchased a 3 year warranty that truly only covers two years and not three years after the manufacture warranty expires. The purchase was for a $400 night owl security camera system with a $40 square trade warranty for 3 years after the manufacturer warranty expires, which is what it says on the warranty pamphlet, but Allstate square trade is not honoring that and is saying coverage started day of purchase, this is very misleading.

    I filed a claim last month from my phone. I gave all information your company asked for. I've been patiently waiting to hear back from the department responsible for sending out the replacement.     Took 8 days and numerous calls to get replacement television with no return correspondence. Although each time I called I was told they would get back to me. I was told I would be notified to set up delivery but every attempt for delivery I was sent a text to arriving soon and 15 minutes later tv being delivered after telling you no one was home. Finally someone was home to accept delivery with same type of notification, arriving soon and 5 minutes later they delivered. Totally unacceptable way to do delivery in my opinion.

    I called and let you know my TV was not turning on and waited 2 days to get an offer for a cheap TV. I had to call in to a supervisor 3 times to get a refund. Not the way to treat a customer. I was told to wait 3 times for another deal and every time was told to take the cheap TV and be happy. That was not going to work, I was running the TV 24 hours a day because if I turned it off it would not come back on. Finally after lots of pushback I was offered a refund. It was a fire hazard.

    I had called in months ago. They asked me to send them a copy of my bill of sale. Which I did three or four times as it was an online order from Costco. I sent them the warranty that I had bought at the important time also. After not hearing anything for over two months I had given up. Then I decided to pursue my problem with my stove again.

    I phoned in. Had a very nice conversation with a young lady who got to the bottom of my problem, ordered the part for me and set up an appointment with the repair company on my stove. Everything was set then I get an email saying that the part had been cancelled and they were going to send out somebody to diagnose the problem.     I always get the added protection when offered, and have had pleasant experiences in the past. This time unfortunately it was a mess. I had a coffee pot that stopped working and in the end they decided to send me a replacement. Which was great. The last email I got was stating that this is what they were doing and they would send a follow up email when shipped with tracking number.

    Week or so went by with no contact, I reached out to them asking where it was or an update. They responded that it was delivered a week prior and gave me the FedEx tracking number. Searching that number it was delivered to Louisiana and I live in Utah. I then called and was transferred multiple times then told it was not their issue. I needed to contact FedEx. Spent forever on hold with FedEx trying to explain the issue. And they said it is not their fault. It was Allstate. Passed around again. Forever on hold to finally have someone from Allstate issue me a virtual gift card so I could purchase my replacement coffee pot.

    A Keurig Coffee Maker I originally purchased from WalMart gave out but I had purchased the protection plan. I made the claim to Allstate and it was approved. They said they couldn't find an exact replacement so offered two non-Keurig options. I picked one. I then looked for a Keurig brand and WalMart still sold the EXACT same model. Yes, it was more expensive than Allstate's offering. I waited, and waited, and waited. Two weeks went by and the replacement Non-Keurig finally showed up. Allstate apparently didn't like my WalMart EXACT duplicate and refused to send it. Allstate also didn't do business for the very firm that sold the protection plan in the first place. Take that WalMart.

    Updated on 01/31/2024: So Square Trade called me today, and told me my claim wasn't covered. Charlotte told me their warranty only covers electrical or mechanical failures on the headlights. They insure this item for these failures only, when the item doesn't even have mechanical or electrical components. The headlight is a hollow, empty plastic "jug". We supply the lightbulb. But they want to steal my, and how many countless others', money on this. They offer warranty of this type of headlights of countless makes and models on Ebay. How many others are going to join a class action lawsuit on this? The only mechanics involved in this matter, for a mechanical claim, is the construction mechanics. They failed, and let water in. Period. And for this reason, and this reason ONLY, is my claim denied. Yet it IS a mechanical failure. Construction Mechanics. Thank you, Daniel **.

    Original Review: I bought a set of head lights for my truck off eBay. I bought the SquareTrade 2 year warranty through Allstate. One went bad, and water was collecting on the inside of the lens. I tried to get it replaced with Allstate, and they told me it SHOULD still be under manufacturer's warranty, and to contact them. If I didn't get help from them, perhaps they could still help me. I tried repeatedly, and got NO response. So I contacted Allstate, and told them, and got no response. The posting on ebay says the manufacturer is Speed Daddy, which is also the seller.     I bought a 600 dollars insurance coverage for a couch I bought From wayfair. I have had spill and they have refuse me to file a claim and that was part of my insurance coverage. The customer service are all liars and unprofessional. Over a month now and they keep telling stories even after I sent them pictures of several spill on the couch. They also lied that it doesn’t cover spill but the forgot I have a copy of the coverage. They should come get rid of the couch and stop being a rip off.

    Our TV went out. We filled out a claim with Allstate Protection Plans and had to get our receipt, which we had, and that was it. Allstate sent us one. They gave us two choices. One was the TV that we had before. But that didn't last two years, so we went with the other one. Now, that one has spots on the screen, and not working.     This was the second time I had to have my the game system repaired. The first time I had to go through the manufacturer's warranty, but that did not fix the problem.     I've had a laptop repair claim in for 3+ weeks without any resolution or useful information. The laptop has been in the repair facility for over 2 weeks now. I've been in contact with support many times for this claim. All they keep saying is that my issue has been escalated and I will hear back in 1-2 days. Except, I don't hear back. When I call back after 2 days, I get the same repeated runaround for 4 times now. I really need the laptop back ASAP for my son at college.     I bought a printer at Office Depot & I bought the Allstate SquareTrade insurance/protection plan. I started having issue where it didn't print. I have a small business with multiple printers, so I tried troubleshooting, new ink, everything. Clearly something was happening! I filed a claim with All State to have it serviced, which I had 5 months left on insurance. When I shipped my printer, they told me it was repaired, but clearly it wasn't. I was convinced they forgot to fix it! So I send it back a 2nd time. Again, they return it & claim it's fixed, but it's not!! Mind you, this is a really heavy printer. I'm only 4'10 & had multiple surgeries. My office is also on the 2nd floor, so this was a huge struggle.

    By the 3rd shipment back to Square trade I was pretty upset. I really didn't believe they'd help me again. So this time, I rigged the printer where I added a piece of paper signed by me, to see if they even opened it actually tested it. They shipped the printer back & said it was fixed, but when I opened it up, the paper was inside untouched!! They lied!! Like, HOW? How could this possibly happen 3 times!!! So I tried to file a claim for the 4th time, but guess what? They told me My plan has expired!!! How is any of this acceptable? Or OK. Don't buy the protection. Don't buy the insurance. They are cons! I've tried to complain multiple times & send letters with no response. It pains me that I have not been able to afford to buy a new printer, while this billion dollar company can brush me off.

    My experience with Allstate was very good. The pump on our dishwasher started rubbing against the floor and it was making a big vibration sound.     My grandson cracked the screen on his tablet. I called Allstate, got the claim set up, and sent the tablet to them. When I got it back, it was well packaged. They fixed the screen perfectly. But when I turned it on, nothing's working. They messed with the hardware inside where I can't get into it now. It's not accepting my passwords. It's not accepting my email address or my grandson's. I called Allstate yesterday and tried to explain it. At first, it showed the tablet wasn't even shipped. I thought I may have gotten somebody else's. Then the manager got on there and told me I have to call the manufacturer to get it reset. The people I have talked to have been wonderful. I understand this policy has gotta be followed. But when they leave a customer like they did telling me to call the manufacturer and get them to reset, I should get it back the same way I sent it to then - workable.

    For the second tablet, I was putting that into a nerf case but I pushed too hard on the screen and broke the screen. The manager got on there with me. I sent the copies of the receipts. They were supposed to send me a rebate so I can get a new tablet from Walmart. The only thing I'm disgusted with is I bought it not even 15 days ago and when I took it back to Walmart, they wouldn't do anything with it. I'm upset about losing the money out for the insurance. I didn't even get a full year out of the insurance.

    Target had the worst customer service. I promise I would never go back to Target and I haven't. Nobody knew who to call. I said, "We're in the process of moving. So all my stuff is in boxes."     I got a laptop covered with Allstate and I submitted a claim when it stopped working. When you would open it up, the screen wouldn't come back on and you would physically have to power it all the way back down to turn it back on. It was pretty simple to file a claim. I had to speak with a lady for a couple of hours to try to reboot the computer at home and that didn't work. She made it very simple for me to speak with her on my days that I had off and times that I had off. In the end, it took them a week to resolve my claim because they tried to repair the laptop at the shop first. I sent them the laptop and they kept it. Then, they gave me a gift card in the amount of the purchase of the laptop. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to get a replacement because I got my laptop on Black Friday sale and I was given $170. So right now, the same laptop is upwards of 300. I did compensate a little bit, but that's okay.

    An Allstate policy is valuable on certain products. I buy it on everything, like my laptops, my electronics, and my household appliances. Their price is pretty reasonable. Sometimes, it can be a little difficult signing back in their website but that's because I don't use it all the time. Previously, I filed a claim on my air fryer because the door stopped working. Allstate also reimbursed me for the price of the air fryer and that was enough to purchase another one. I didn't even have to call anybody and I assumed that was a common error in those air fryers because they didn't ask me too many questions. They also resolved my claim within a couple of hours.

    I sent in a claim for my Samsung 55-inch smart LED TV. When you connected to the Wi-Fi, it would lose connection. I moved the TV closer to the modem. But I still had the same problem.     Allstate told me that they were going to cover my MillerBuilt blower for a year. Their reps were pretty helpful, but they pretty much told me that they couldn't help me when I had an issue. They told me to take it to the warranty place because the Allstate couldn't do anything about it. I didn't know that when I bought the protection plan that I was going to end up having to go through the warranty that I had anyway and I wouldn't have bought the protection plan if I had known that. Allstate also told me that if I took the blower to the warranty place it would be free, but it wasn't.

    So, I pretty much bought the protection plan for nothing and I ended up having to pay for a brand-new blower that never worked from the time I bought it. I had to take it to a warranty place and they had to adjust the carburetor, which was not my problem in the first place because it was brand spanking new. I bought the blower from Walmart and MillerBuilt told me that because I didn't buy it from them, that they were going to charge me $56. Despite that, I would still tell my friends to get the Allstate protection plan.

    I used the electronic warranty for a hoverboard for my granddaughter (the part on it where the charger plugged in broke), and the claims process was a bit confusing at first. It was well over the manufacturer's warranty, but when I first called, Allstate said, "Well, it might still be under warranty with the company." It seemed like I had to do a lot of the footwork to get it going.

    I had gone into my Walmart app to get the TC number so the rep could look 'cause he couldn't find it. I had the TC number, then he found it. It got straightened out and the guy was very nice. There was no problem there, but it was a slow process and it gets a little frustrating. I told the guy, "We pay for these for a reason." It seems like it's an act of Congress to get it to go through, but overall, it wasn't terrible. Allstate ended up sending me a check back for the hoverboard. All I wanted was to get my granddaughter another one, so I had already gone and replaced it, then Allstate sent me $40 something in a check.

    I've dealt with Allstate in other facets as an insurance, and they were good. But they've gone into this warranty business, they've bought out several of the other companies and made themselves a big-time player with little consideration to the consumers. Allstate Protection Plans paid the claim in a timely manner. But they did not do the claim as I asked, and no explanation as to why they didn't.

    None of my information from the facility I purchased the eyeglasses from coincided with what Allstate showed. It took the lady two hours to figure out what was going on and get everything situated to where I could make my claim. It was a bunch of mismatched information. I would never purchase another Allstate policy like that. Because the final straw was, it was through Sam's Club Optical, and I asked it to be put on to a Sam's card to where I could get another pair of glasses. They sent me a check. They couldn't even understand plain English. They did what they wanted to do.

    I've worn glasses for many years and they tend to get scratched. So, I went ahead and picked up a protection plan. They got scratched but the frames broke and that was what caused the scratched lens. Instead of taking my glasses, replacing the one lens and put them into a new frame, Allstate put everything back on me. I can deal with the little scratches up on top. And I took some gorilla glue for metal, filed the area clean, and attached gorilla glue. I've got a pair of glasses still.

    It wasn't a very good experience with Allstate. I purchased the plan on a Samsung washer that was pretty expensive from Costco and I had to jump through hoops just to get somebody from a foreign country to talk to me that couldn't understand a person in America. It took us almost two weeks to get anywhere with the claim. The person from Allstate said they'd send me the part and when the part comes in, they'd call a company in Midland, Michigan that will come and put the part in. That took two weeks. Then, it was the wrong part because they were trying to fix it over the phone instead of having a service guy come and diagnose everything. We had to go back and forth to Costco and then we found one person at Costco who was tremendous. If it wasn't for him, it was just not good. But I'll never buy anything from Costco as long as Allstate has their warranty because it was the worst experience I've ever had.

    I bought an extended warranty with Allstate for a dishwasher and 14 months later the dishwasher failed. I spent what I thought was an inordinate amount of time jumping through hoops to complete the claim process with multiple steps requested only to have the claim rejected based on my receipt from the appliance store not having enough specific info. I hunted down all the info from multiple sources I obtained from my files and emails and resubmitted. That didn't fly for them so I drove 30 minutes to the appliance store and they gladly created an acceptable receipt. I drove home and submitted it only to have it rejected 2 hours later based on the limit of my policy being 750 dollar purchase price but since I paid 800 they didn't have to honor the warranty. Not sure why they would sell me a policy that wasn't valid, but also it doesn't seem right that the validity of the warranty depends not on make and model of the unit but how much I paid for it. Be careful.

    My repair cost more than I paid for the phone but can't tell Allstate this because you won't get reimbursed at all if you do. What's the point of buy a protection plan that only cover 67% of the repair.     The process is absolutely stupid. It's purposely made more difficult so you'll just give up filing a claim. Still waiting more than 2 weeks for a check. The biggest kick in the teeth is the fact that they shorted me $7.99. I get the fact that they keep their part, but my total amount paid was $105.72 plus the $7.99 Squaretrade. They deducted $7.99 from the $105.72.... Double dipping. Horrible horrible company to deal with. Never again, never! Some refund is better than nothing, I'm sure they're aware of that so no one complains. Good luck finding an English speaking person to talk with. I'm sure purposely as well.     AllState did great approving my claim...However, they say that you have a choice whether to receive gift cards or check... This is not true. They did not give me an option and now I am being forced to buy from the place that I bought for to begin with which their products are garbage. We tried to work with them on changing the gift cards out but all they say is that they cannot do anything.     When I filed the claim on my TV, I was told I would be given several options to choose from and if I did not find them acceptable they would refund the amount I paid for the TV. After I reviewed the choices I sent an email asking if there were any more options, that none of the TVs were comparable. I was told to keep checking and that there would be more options available, I continued to check but the options did not show up. I asked for the cash value and would purchase a new TV independently. I was told this option was not available and I needed to select one of the options, only now there was only one option left.

    I paid 349.00 dollars for my TV and you wanted to replace the TV with a $250.00 off-brand TV. I had no choice but to accept your offer but that does not mean. I will not continue to post a bad review across all social platforms about your Warranty. I was willing to buy another warranty on a new TV but that was not an option either. I will never purchase another Protection Plan Warranty from Allstate.

    Both controllers were broken and I filed first claim and they told me to buy a new controller and send in the receipt for reimbursement which I did, so I went ahead and bought the other controller "which required sending in the broken controller to buy the new one" and I go to file the 2nd claim and it said for me to call, so I call to be told if I don't have the 2nd controller they won't honor the warranty, I honestly feel cheated, so you're good for 1 thing being covered. After that they try to find a way to not pay.

    All was great, except the communication regarding where and when (date/time) it would be delivered. They took care of me promptly and thoroughly, and I appreciate that they made good on the claim. I was told an adult would have to sign for it at delivery, and I could choose date/time. I contacted again, and after talking to a couple different people, I was told the day.

    What makes me buy the protection plans is because I have a five-year-old toddler. Nothing survives as long as it should in my house because we're rough on stuff over here. I've utilized Allstate a lot. Every time I've had to file a claim, it's always been pretty easy. There's only been one time so far where there was something wrong with their system. I got upset when they were telling me what was going on and they initially were like, “Yeah, we can't do that.” But the manager was able to explain to me that the lower-down didn't know that there was a problem with the system at that moment that they were working to correct. They immediately did what they could to correct the situation and make up for it so I don't even consider that to be a bad experience. Also, the protection plans in comparison to the items are generally fair and appropriate for the item.     My laptop started not working all of a sudden, and it gave a Microsoft error message that it needed something. I took it to a computer repair place, and they said that the processor was not working properly. It was only operating at 30%. The tech gave me the diagnostic report and said there was no way to recover the data. I was very disappointed. I had that computer for eight years and the last time I did a backup was a year ago because I've never had a problem until that day. I started the claims process with Allstate and filled out the information that was required online. Someone called me after that, and we went through it, but it turns out, fortunately, I did not have to end up getting my laptop replaced.

    The help desk guy was marvelous. I needed to get a special key type password to put in there, and he was able to walk me through to getting that through my Microsoft account. The computer came on, and he asked me for access so he can look at the computer to see if there was anything wrong with it. The processor is not as good as it was eight years ago, but he walked me through and did some diagnostics on the computer. I haven't had trouble since, and I'm hoping it stays that way. It was a wonderful experience. I was very impressed.

    I bought swing arms for a Chrysler Crossfire and when I ordered the parts online, the Allstate plan was offered and I selected it. I got a plan for each part I bought. I filed a claim on those parts because the car had an accident. I called Allstate to see if the parts were covered and their reps were excellent. But they said that they weren't covering an accident, so the plans did not help me. For each plan, I paid about half the cost of the part it covers. That was a bad financial decision and it cost too much.

    Had warranty on a Onn TV. Second one I had an issue with. Same make and model. Make a long story short. They had me buy a new remote and the issue was after 30 min the TV would overheat (Fire Hazard). The motherboard needed replaced but, they wouldn't send a technician out to fix it because they said it would do it when the tech would turn the TV on because it does not overheat right away and they will not have a technician wait lol!     I have been using electronic computer style typewriters with very small capacity memories, which then merged into actual computers with large storage capacities, since 1986. As a hobby, and to add to my skills, I have bought, used, repaired, restored, and resold Apple computers since 1998, as well as used PCs of various kinds to understand their operating systems better, and to use them for work related jobs that Apple was closed out from. As usual, I applied all the check system evaluations before calling. My Apple 13" MBP was definitely not charging, and I explained this to the first "rep" I spoke with. That conversation did not go anywhere- apparently there is a language barrier on their part, and an assumption that I am not techy enough to figure out how to.

    I ended up speaking with 3 more agents over the course of nearly 4 hours in one day. Finally, the last agent, who spoke very good English, seemed to understand that AllState would need to repair or replace my computer battery without further ado. I wish that I had their name so I could give them the credit for quickly sending me a return shipping label via FedEx. Within a week my computer was returned in its originally perfect state, with a NEW BATTERY!!!

    I would like to make a couple of suggestions, if I may. I have been in business in many arenas for over 60 years. The first, most important lesson to learn in order to provide superior customer service is to listen, and understand, what is being communicated. I have found over many years that reps jump to conclusions too quickly. Apparently the first three reps wanted to wrap up our conversation by trying to send me to a "repair" person, and that was really unnecessary. Had they listened they would have established the fact that I knew more than all of them combined what needed to be done. Second, all customer service reps of foreign nationalities, without prejudice, need to read the English dictionary and improve their language speaking and skills. Thank you for letting share.

    This was absolutely the worst customer service experience that I have been privy to. The mis-communication and lack of communication was horrific! I have many products under warranty with Allstate; never was there an issue regarding claims. The short version and resolution: the tv that was furnished as a replacement even though I rejected the resolution does not match the specifications of my 2019 that was being replaced. The refresh speed is slower and the picture is horrible. I work in technology; so I am well aware of the discrepancies. I also informed them that I coould not be home to receive the delivery as it required a signature. I had to take the day off of work costing me the same rate if pay as the cost of the crappy tv. I was told the Fedex needed a signature; guess what no signature needed! What an awful experience!

    Our 43" Tivio TV required a repair. I looked at the warranty and examined the TV. I took pictures of the entire front, and sides, a close-up of the screen damage, and a back panel for SN and other TV identifiers. I took the time to explain what had happened, only to be told I damaged or cracked the TV Panel. As I explained to the Representative, we watched TV in the morning before heading out for shopping. Upon our return we turned the TV on, only to see the screen seemed to be cracked, not a physical screen crack, but a cell crack. I was transferred to a Tivio Rep who asked me similar questions and asked for any pictures.

    3 days later, I had a message saying I damaged the TV and that any repairs would not be considered. I contacted Allstate and explained everything and they in turn asked for the photos. They told me a decision would be made in a few days. A few days went by, and they also left me a message saying I broke the TV, which made the warranty invalid. I understand how some people might want to get something repaired if they broke it, but we never touched, dropped, or mishandled the TV, so we were dumbfounded. Regardless, we quickly boxed the Tivio TV up, purchased a new Samsung, and got another extended warranty via Costco.

    I have had the worst experience with Allstate protection. I made a claim on November 26, Allstate canceled my order on the 10th shipping day which was on a Friday. Then they did not order a new one until the following Monday. Everyone that I talked to could not help me, couldn't give me any information regarding tracking or the order number. The only person that sort of helped me was the last women I spoke to Ariel she said that she will consistently look at my account and send me updates when she can. I would not recommend to purchase the warranty plan here just because of how slow this process is along with the staff. I am currently still waiting, I was told I was not going to receive my replacement tv until after Christmas, 1 month it will take for a replacement. Ridiculous!

    They made me wait 3 weeks to “fix” my washer but never did. They sent parts that the technicians never even tried to use or do anything with. Sent another technician from another company who said they can’t touch the parts and had to send them back and reorder through their company. Then finally all of a sudden they decided to refund me for the 2yr old washer and not the warranty. I am on an island and there are almost no washers available.     In January of '22 I purchased a LG C1 (I now know this is the model) television from Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas. They sold me an insurance policy - repair or replace- at the store to cover my investment. After expressing concern about these policies just being a money grab, Thomas informed me it was a policy from Allstate and that they were reputable. As this was an expensive purchase for me, I added the policy for an additional $249.00. Thomas told me the price I paid for the policy was based on the price of the item being covered and this was a higher end TV.

    In November of '23 the TV started turning itself off while we were watching it. I called Allstate and they promptly sent out a repair technician who made an attempt at fixing the problem. The 'fix" did not work and I was advised by the tech that Allstate would either replace my TV or send me a check for the purchase price. All of which is stated in the policy agreement. The next day, I got an e-mail advising that Allstate was going to replace my TV and to take the link to accept this solution. There was only one option on the next page, that I assumed was the updated descriptor of the current model year, equivalent to the TV I purchased almost two years prior, which is the promise in the agreement. Trusting Allstate, I accepted the offer of replacing my TV.

    I then found out I was wrong! They were replacing "a" TV but attempting to replace my ’65 TV that I paid almost $1,800 (retail) for with a much lesser model that was two levels below my current model, retailing at $600. I declined the delivery and when I called Allstate to point this error out, I found out it wasn't an error, it was an intentional act on their part to which their rep advised this downgrade was okay – stating I accepted the offer. I advised him that I trusted the company’s integrity and assumed they were doing exactly what their policy stated they would do by replacing my current TV with like kind and quality in a current model. I never dreamed Allstate would practice deceptive tactics.

    They are taking advantage of senior citizens and consumers that are less knowledgeable in electronics by sending lesser value replacements in lieu of the promise to replace what you purchased. This is FRAUD! Their agreement states they will replace your existing electronic or refund you full purchase price. The only part of their promise they attempted to keep was the size of the TV. How many other policyholders have been defrauded by Allstate?

    I recently had to put a claim in because I spilled some black coffee on my computer. I took it in to get looked at and get an opinion. Allstate said I'd need a whole new board and to get the board would have cost $1,300. At first, they said that was what I needed to do. So I was thinking they could pay me and I'll get a different computer at that price because my computer value was 1,499. I went after them again. It was interesting that Allstate gave me different answers such that they were gonna have to try to get the parts or have to take my computer back to where I had it looked at and have them order the parts. Then when I just didn't think that was a good idea and I called back, someone had decided that they would give me a refund. I didn't have to push too hard but it was just weird that I got two different answers. But I was glad with the second answer they gave me.

    I was glad to find out that I had this policy that covers spills. It was the first time I've ever spilled anything on a computer. It saved me $1,400 and I was able to get a new computer. Allstate did a refund without giving me too much hassle and my check came quickly. Initially too, they told me that I would have to ship my computer to them. And then I called them back and said I didn't like that idea. I asked if I could take it to some place in my area and they said I could do that and make sure it's a reputable place. So they were open to suggestions for doing something different.

    When I bought the new computer, they didn't give this plan with it because I bought another one at Costco. But I purchased a policy with Allstate that covers spills and damages. A lot of them don't cover spills. And you just never know when that could happen. If something like that happens on a keyboard, you might as well call it quits. The price is reasonable. I paid this time 99 for two extra years of coverage.

    I was impressed with the timeline and the way my claim was handled. My TV went completely out and after the representative did some trouble shooting, he determined it needed to be replaced (I had no picture or sound). He was very nice and explained the entire process. I received a new TV sooner than expected and am satisfied with the replacement (and this was a few days before the holiday). It was so nice not to have to go through a hassle to get this taken care of. I would definitely recommend the Allstate protection plan to anyone. It's a lot easier than returning something to Wal-Mart, which is where I bought it.

    I bought the insurance because I have gone through too many phones in the past. I was surprised that they covered cracked screens and all! Once I opened my claim it was fast and easy! I simply went to an Apple Store and they assessed what was wrong with it and gave me the option to purchase a new one. So I purchased a new one and Allstate gave me rebate within a week!

    Refused to make good on warranty. Would not offer any reasonable solutions such as repairing, replacing or refunding. ** call center. Will never purchase anything else Allstate or Squaretrade or whatever other shady name they want to use.

I can find a more competent repair facility than you who can actually repair my Surface and not lie about the mainboard being bad. Under California Consumer protection law you must give me the option of retrieving my computer back

    The zipper broke off on my cushion. I contacted Wayfair and filed a claim with Allstate Ins. After a lengthy process, I was told by Allstate that they will send a repairman to my house to try and fix the zipper and if it can't be fixed they will replace it. This is ridiculous. I paid over $100 for this insurance and I expected to have the cushion cover replaced not have some stranger come into MY house and try to fix a zipper while sitting on my couch. This is **. PS: the tech never showed up when scheduled.

    My Fitbit Charge5 had a black screen and I called Fitbit customer service, but they were unable to get it working. So, I entered my claim online and in a couple days, my new Fitbit CHarge5 was on its way to me. The only recommendation I would make, is to list the carrier when the tracking information is emailed. If you are not familiar with carriers' tracking numbers, you would not know who to check with.

    I purchased this policy at Costco where they stated it was a worthy product to invest in. I've found out over multiple phone calls to to Allstate that what I thought was coverage isn't actually the case. This was an experience of learning these 3rd party insurance policies are just a scam.
