    The process to get reimbursed for my cellphone repair through SquareTrade has been incredibly tedious and frustrating. I had to call multiple times—at least three times I was assured that I would receive a check or some form of reimbursement, only to hear nothing each time. After weeks of waiting and calling again, I kept receiving the same empty promises. Finally I received an email for a virtual prepaid MasterCard. However, when I tried to redeem it, I encountered an error message: "Oops. There's an error on our side. Please try again soon." Several days later a tried again and finally I got access to my money.

    This entire experience has been beyond frustrating. Frankly, I cancelled my insurance and am looking elsewhere. The fact that I was repeatedly told I would be reimbursed, but then left in the dark for weeks, is unacceptable. If I hadn't called back, would I ever have been contacted? Is this a strategy to avoid paying claims? How many people forget or can't be bothered to call back, allowing you to avoid paying them? It's just ridiculous.

    In the beginning, I encountered some challenges with the repairs, but by the end of the day, I was contacted by Ruthann, an Allstate representative. She was exceptional and addressed all of my concerns and issues thoroughly. The level of service she provided gave me a new appreciation for how Allstate handles client concerns. I was pleasantly surprised by how efficiently they resolved my case.

    Due to the fact that I had to send my laptop in for repairs four times for the same issue, Allstate generously issued a full refund for the malfunctioning device. Based on this experience, I will continue to purchase Allstate Protection Plans for all my future electronics. I highly recommend their protection plans to others as well.

    Horrible service. Their technicians do not know what they are doing there. I had to send out my laptop 4 times so I could finally use it again. Their technicians don’t test their own repairs and just send out the item back to a customer. Very poor service from technicians!

At first my claim was approved and they sent the replacement photo and it was pink (and I’m a guy) so I don’t like pink, so I rejected it. By this time almost 2 months later, I had emailed until I finally got offered the money in an online gift card.

    So my Robot Vacuum stopped working while it was under Warranty so I sent it to them. They sent it back without repair because it had animal debris in it (hair?) which was a “bio-hazard”, they said. Seriously? It runs on the FLOOR! What is it going to have in it? Diamonds and Pearls???? Never again.

    1. You sent a stranger in plain clothes and unmarked car with a hand held spot cleaner to my house as part of the claim process. I almost did not let him in. I work from home and am alone most of the day. 2. There was no follow up after the repair man was unable to get the stain out of carpet. 3. I called to follow up and inquire about my full refund. On the phone, the representative told me to watch for an electronic affidavit, sign and send back to receive full cash refund via e-gift card. There was no indication this was going to be a Wayfair gift card and there was no option to receive a check offered.

    4. Received gift card and was surprised when I saw it was for Wayfair. I immediately called to change. I was told it was too late because I accepted the claim. I understand completely, however, the claim was accepted based on the conversation with the representative and email sent - neither mentioned or indicated it was a store specific gift card. 5. Have attempted to call and speak to higher level managers and was offered $50 then $95 for the ‘inconvenience.’ The inconvenience is you did not properly handle the claim and are refusing to give me my money.

    Steering handle fell off one of my scooters and threads were stripped so it couldn't be screwed back in. Claim denied. What would the plan cover then? I've purchased a number of Allstate protection plans from Walmart, several still active. What good are they? About to buy an ebike, why buy from Walmart if I want a 4 year protection plan and it wouldn't cover replacing broken handlebars?

    I purchased a warranty for my phone, which was supposed to provide up to three replacement phones. However, the company still needs to fulfill this promise. They have made it extremely difficult for me to get my phone repaired and denied my claim. I have escalated the issue and am currently waiting for a resolution. I advise others to avoid this company and opt for Asurion, as I have never had any problems with them. This company only wants to take money and provide the bare minimum service.

    Contacted them for a failed battery in a laptop I purchased. The device is no longer under warranty, but Allstate kept sending me emails stating the device was under the manufacturer's warranty and to take it back to them. I contacted Allstate to let them know it is a 2017 laptop and not covered anymore, they kept sticking to their guns and said to take it back to Apple. This is just a scam to get money and never pay, even their support chat can barely handle the English language and just cut and paste responses. Do yourself a favor and do not use the Allstate PS when purchasing online, it is a waste of money and time.

    Claims process was quick and efficient. Ultimately it was decided that I would receive a replacement TV. The policy states that the replacement will be “As similar as possible to the original item”. However, the replacement is a much lower, cheaper model than the original TV that was replaced, about half the MSRP.

    Avoid. I believe their website is set up to decline you. I say this because they never tell you what is covered, perhaps nothing is but every time I go to them with a problem it's not covered. I have heard your product is still under your manufacturer's warranty for one year but they sold me their warranty for one year. This time my daughter's iPhone got wet in a rain storm. This iPhone is an 11, it is suppose to be waterproof up to 2 meters for 30 minutes. This I explained was from a downpour while it was in her pocket. They said they don't cover manufacturer's defects. What do they cover? Not very much. I am very skeptical of any positive reviews. I think buying this is a fool's folly.

    I have called 7 times now. Goes to a Jamacia call center. They took the 100$ deductible and sent a 3.99$ gift card for a 600$ item. Every time I call, I'm told someone will fix this. Nothing. Horrible customer service.

    Horrible service. I got my screen and battery replaced on my iPhone 12 Pro Max for 275 dollars at a recommended “authorized” repair facility. They then used a wish supplied LCD screen when the screen should be oled. Same with the battery being off brand. I now have two service indicators for the parts are not recognized. The repayment from Allstate insurance is a Target gift card. I didn’t use a gift card for the repair. I paid cash. I didn’t agree to a gift card at all. My insurance is paid with cash not a gift card. I’d accept a check to cash for legal tender not stuck at a store through a gift card. I’ll be canceling my service as soon as possible.

    The compressor began failing with full charge. Then stopped working altogether. Then the charger began to fail intermittently until complete failure. That includes the USB charger as well. I submitted my claim online. Was able to determine which descriptions applied. I was able to save and return later to review and complete my claim. After receiving the acknowledgement from SquareTrade that my claim was submitted a few hours later I had my reply explaining the next steps. By the end of the second day my claim was approved. I do have to say that it was a very easy process.

    It's going to be almost a month to get a replacement. I chatted with customer service Friday. They said I should be receiving an email with on Monday with the tracking number for my replacement and it's Wednesday and haven't received anything. I'm really disappointed with all of this. Not really good customer service either.

    I hope to never have to get another warranty from this company again. My son spilled milk on my couch. They sent a technician to clean my couch. I have attached a picture of the technician and cleaning supplies. He has a spray bottle and a rag. Also he informed me that I had to buy additional items to keep my sectional together. I spoke to several Supervisors and the last one Mischel told me he was being nice offering $50 and I should cancel my policy. If this is the experience you would like go to Allstate Square Trade. I will be seeking legal action for my time wasted repeatedly.

    After 2 weeks of no resolution, I was offered a full refund today for my washer or a replacement. My issue is resolved.

    I purchased the plan at Home Depot when I purchased a Whirlpool washer. Less than 2 years old, after running a cycle 2 weeks ago, 3 lights are blinking and the machine will not start. I contacted Allstate, went through their reset instructions which did not solve the problem, then a claim was filed on 6/19, a part was overnighted to my house, and an appt with a tech scheduled for 6/25. The tech did not arrive on 6/25, when I contacted him, he was in another neighboring state and reported he did not cross the state line.

    I contacted Allstate, was told my case was being sent and expedited for a resolution. 2 days later, I was informed that I needed to find my own tech, pay for it and would be reimbursed. My tech arrived today, only to discover that the part they overnighted me was the wrong part! I have spoken with Allstate again today, been told again today my case was being sent and expedited and I am going on 2 full weeks of no resolution and not having a working washer. This plan has been a joke & not what we were sold on at Home Depot.

    I had a terrible experience the last time I called Allstate. They treated me very harshly and I don't plan to purchase a protection plan again from them. I purchased a protection plan for my children's stroller. The manufacturer is Pamo Babe and they’re based in China so, I don’t know how I’m supposed to contact them over the phone. I just emailed them and they haven't contacted me back. So, contacting Allstate about the situation would be a good idea. The gentleman stated that I needed to go back to the manufacturer and let them know and to wait for their email because the stroller was already within its first year of warranty. I let him know that I purchased an additional protection plan because I wanted to make sure that I have protection over any issues if it's within its first year and if some sort of issue was going on.

    It was very rude from the beginning because he asked me if I filed a claim online. Then, he told me to hang up and file a claim too, which was strange because I was already on the phone with him. I gave him all of my details and at that time, I was running on data. I didn't have Wi-Fi and I couldn't open up the web page while I was on the phone. So, I wasn't able to do it properly. Because of this mistreatment, I ended up asking for his supervisor.

    It was odd for a customer service representative to tell me twice that I needed to contact someone else when I was asking for their help. When I spoke to the supervisor, the supervisor doubled down on what he was saying and said that that's the procedure that they're supposed to handle, which I understand. They're supposed to ask the customer if they have filled out anything online and maybe route them over for their convenience. I get that. But if I'm on the phone with you and I've let you know I've already tried to contact the manufacturer, I expected more help. It got to the point where I asked for the supervisor's supervisor and I waited on hold. But I never got back in touch with anyone.

    I took an Allstate insurance plan from Costco when I purchased my refrigerator. I made a claim about a month ago. Someone came to repair it, and I have the same problem again. They're coming tomorrow. I've called the manufacturer four times since last October until May the 2nd. They came four times. The fifth time is last month, and then sixth time is this month for the same problem. Food is freezing in the drawers. I had to throw them. They keep coming and replacing the back panel and they say, "Now, it's good." And then a month and a half later, we have the same problem.

    I took pictures. I put a small Pyrex with water in it in one of the doors. I put it at 6 o'clock at night and the next morning, it was frozen completely and it's a block of ice. When I made the claim, Allstate told me that they have to come two times to repair. Then after that, they're gonna try to find a solution. They're surprised that I'm having this problem, and they keep coming for the same problem. It's frustrating because every time, I have to take a day off from my work.

    I had three claims with Allstate. One was for TV and it went really well. The second one was for a laptop and it went really, really bad. They told me that it had water but I told them that it was never in the water. They wouldn't listen to me and they wouldn't give me the laptop. The third one was for a TV and it went okay. The only thing is that you have to keep talking to people again and again, instead of just talking to one person. I didn't like that I have a Sony but they gave me a Samsung. It was okay because I like Samsung. But they should have given me the choice of having a Sony if I had a Sony before.

    I was very disappointed with the laptop. So I called up American Home Shield. I'm really happy with American Home Shield but they never told me it was gonna be another company when they said I was gonna be insured for my electronics. So they gave me a credit, which was nice. I wanted to get off of Allstate but I couldn't. You have to have it for a year. It was kind of stupid the way the customer service works there. I had to keep saying what was wrong with the TV for three times. At one point, the voicemail said that I could put my claim online. So I asked them how do I get online but they said, "Oh, no. You can't do it. Your type of problem, we have to go through us." But the company that I got it through was really good. They sent somebody out and replaced it. You get what you had before or at least close to it. You don't have to repeat everything 200 times. That was why I took the electronics insurance, but I didn't know it was gonna be through something else.

    Very polite staff, but their "technicians" don't make any effort to actually diagnose the problem and their system doesn't allow for problems to get fixed and instead customers must suffer through bureaucratic hell. Don't buy their plans. In my case, I bought a warranty for my LG washer which experienced a leak. I'm handy so I took the top lid off of the washer and confirmed that the leak was NOT coming from the detergent tray, the top bellows, the door seal, and the water intake valves. I opened a claim and patiently explained to the agent that the leak was coming from the bottom of the washer and that the parts that needed sent were the ones around the drain. Guy was polite and helpful and my claim was filed and a repair was scheduled for a week later. Two days later the parts arrived. They were a door seal and two intake valves - the exact parts that I told them were NOT the right ones.

    I called them back and explained the wrong parts were sent. Very helpful person who said they were escalating. Didn't hear a thing for three days. I called them back the day before the service and explained that the correct parts had still not arrived. Lady was condescending and dismissive this time. Next day the tech arrived from Goodman Home Solutions. Real sharp guy, he was here 5 minutes and confirmed that what I said was right and that the wrong parts were sent. Now SquareTrade opens a NEW claim and reschedules my service for TWO WEEKS later. No ability to escalate my claim. Very polite people, lots of apologies, no ability to talk to a manager or get my service escalated.

    My washer will have been broken for almost a month by the time this is fixed, if it even gets fixed. I have no confidence in SquareTrade. I have wasted so much time on the phone with these folks and while they are all very polite, their process is flawed and broken. Save your money. When you have appliance troubles contact a local appliance repairman. You will get service faster and better work will be done. AVOID SQUARETRADE!

    We've done protection plans before with appliances, but this is the first time we've needed it. I recently did a claim for our washer and dryer, and it was a super easy process. I got an error code on the dryer. So, I tried to Youtube it and see if it's something I can diagnose myself. I unplugged it, plugged it back in, turned the breaker on, and I was still getting the error code.

    I called Allstate and explained it to them. They walked me through the things to try, and I was able to confirm. They looked it up and said, “Yeah.” They didn't have a local repair guy in my area or someone that they had contracted with, so they said, “Use whomever you'd like in your area. I called a repairman, and the guy came out and fixed it.

    The claim was initially approved by ST and the item was deemed 'unrepairable'. As the claim proceeded, the ST/Allstate 'back office' team flatly rejected the claim with the 'sole' comment - 'too many claims'. I shared the whole situation with COSTCO (purchase vendor) and their team tried hard to convince ST to reconsider - with the same result - rejection. It is important to note - even the COSTCO team agreed that 'too many claims' has no merit as each claim is reviewed on its own. Overall this experience with ST was a total disappointment.

    When I purchased the 3 year warranty, which says it starts the day of purchase I thought I would have the piece of mind that my problem would be taken care of by the warranty I purchased. However, that was not the case. Even though it starts on the date of purchase. I was told that since it was less than a year I would have to deal with the manufacturer. So in my eyes Allstate is passing the buck. First, question why am I having to pay for a warranty covering the first year after the purchase if Allstate is not going to honor it. So now I am dealing with the manufacturer, who is trying to wear me down so I give up. I won't give up.

    So after many back and forth emails, they are requiring me to send the unit back to them at my cost. So this ice maker has cost be $250.00 for initial purchase, $35.00 for a warranty that they company who issued it won't honor it, and $100.85 for shipping the product back to the manufacturer. So, so far the total cost of an ice maker that only worked for 6 months is $ 385.85. So what do I have now? NOTHING! Except out of $385.85. I also know that nothing will come of this review to resolve my problem or loss.

    Your policy is to replace my defective TV with a current comparable TV. The replacement was not comparable- it had no audio sound Jax, the picture quality is not close to comparable, delivery was via WalMart and came without any heads-up that it was coming. It was serendipitous that I was home when delivery came as it was pouring rain at the time. Your policy also had me jumping through hoops to prove my old TV was in fact defective. This public response is simply an act to make it seem like the company cares.

    Original Review: Called to discuss a claim for my bed frame that was denied. 5 different service reps and 2 supervisors. Impossible to communicate with them since they kept repeating the same thing: "I understand your concern. There's nothing we can do." Even the supervisors have no power to assist in refuting denied claims. They simply said the back-end office reviews claims, and the supervisors are unable to communicate with them. No help received. Save your $50 and put it towards your next purchase. SquareTrade will not honor their contracts.

    Purchased the plan for a couch that eventually had the springs in one cushion break. Tried multiple times to create an account on their website to file a claim, but every time it said that the email and password did not match for the account, even though I had just created it and literally copy/pasted the password. I then tried to chat with an individual by their chat option because they don't give a phone number on their website. I was told they were having problems with their website and to try later. Tried multiple times over multiple weeks only to get the same issue, so I eventually tried chatting again and was finally offered a phone number. By the time I was able to file a claim over the phone I was told my claim was instantly denied because the 30 day requirement was already passed. Scam artists.

    I purchased a Dell computer with a two year warranty by Allstate / Square Trade. One year into the warranty the computer stopped booting up. I opened the claim and sent the computer in. They soon sent me an email stating the computer had physical damage and could not be warrantied. They attached a picture showing the bottom of my computer being bulged up. The computer absolutely did not look like that when I shipped it out. Looking at the picture it seemed that the battery may have swelled up and caused it to bulge during shipping. This I would think would be covered under the warranty. It is a common problem and I seen it happen before on a work computer.

    They immediately shipped it back without being fixed. The so called damage they sent a picture of was not even present when I got the computer back. One question I had was it even my computer they sent the picture of. I tried to refile the claim to send it back and they refused. They stated physical damage was present and there is nothing they can do. No matter how much I argued and even explained that one, a swelling battery would do this and two this is not even present in my computer that was returned to me. There is no physical damage to this PC present. Did not matter. They told once damage was documented there was nothing they could do? So now I have a useless paperweight. I have already filled a claim with the Better Business Bureau.

    After calling LG and waiting 48hrs as instructed it was apparent that our dishwasher was not going to repair itself. I then called Square Trade to utilize our 5-year warranty plan. Square Trade was very efficient and assigned a claim number, ordered some parts and assigned an appliance repair shop 1.5 miles away. The parts came in the next day, and I called the assigned repair shop to advise them of the arrival of parts. They could get the repair done on the assigned day and could not tell me of when the repair might take place. Since I had a similar experience with this repair shop on our LG refrigerator, I called Square Trade and suggested a local repair shop in Omaha (about 20 minutes away). Square Trade immediately reassigned my repair to this shop, and they were able to have a technician perform the repairs that same afternoon.     Allstate doesn’t stand behind protection agreement 2024. Purchased an LG Dryer from Home Depot along with a 5 year Protection plan which was serviced by Allstate / Square Trade. Contacted Allstate/Square trade requesting service for my dryer and was informed:

    1. They did not have service people in the Annapolis Area.
    2. I needed to find my own service provider for the dryer, send the repair receipt to Squaretrade and they would reimburse.
    3. Protection agreement stated they send a service provider and they pay the bill and if appt isn’t scheduled within 3 days home owner receives a 50$ gift card for Home Depot. Neither has happened with 2 weeks passing.

    4. Latest From SquareTrade if I sign their affidavit it they will send me full price I paid for dryer and I can buy a new one. BUT in doing this the pro plan I purchased for 195.00 becomes null and void! They also don’t reimburse for delivery and removal of broken appliance.

    Allstate/Square trade is breaking the protection Plan agreement and also trying to put the loss of the plan on the purchaser because they don’t want to do their job and get my appliance serviced. I have written BBB of CA, gone back and forth with Allstate. Now I am having to take them to small claims court over said matter all for $250.00!!! My Dryer can be easily fixed by a service provider such as Sears home Services which I told SquareTrade but they won’t handle the repair unless I make the call and pay for repair first. Bad business practices. Allstate/SquareTrade not trustworthy. Do not purchase.

    Upon purchase of a 50 inch ONN TV at my local Wal-mart I was told that screen cracking would be covered on the plan I purchased, so when I took the tv home and it was cracked out the box I didn't sweat it much. Lo and behold my oil field job gets me too busy to return it within the store's 30 day window and when I go to file a claim later on I'm simply told that my type of damage isn't covered and I'm out over 200 dollars.

    This is a scam. I would never recommend this to anybody. I purchased a television and got the protection plan and each company the manufacturer the company I purchased a television from and the protection plan keeps put it in on each other. No one wants to take fault and I’m out of $500 because I received a broken TV. Worst experience I’ve had with customer service. I would not recommend this to anyone.

    My experience was absolutely abdominal from start to finish. The rep on the phone kept repeating herself, making me think she didn't know her stuff. Then I had to go thru the hassle of purchasing my replacement battery, and submitting what was asked for by rep on phone and in email for reimbursement by check as I did not want a walmart card. Then told 6-14 days for reimbursement check to come by mail. After 3 weeks I called and my claim had never been processed so I was to wait another 6 days which of course was 2 weeks in coming. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with your process and customer service!!!!

    I must say the whole experience of the protection plan for the PS5 has been horrible as well as the way it was handled. This relates to the experience of when I first sent the device in and it was reported that it was repaired/fixed but it was not. Then the second time I sent it in for repairs it was advised that no issues could be found. I had to file a complaint to get any status, thus when the device was sent back the issue was never addressed, which was the reason it was sent in for repair. Finally, I had to send the device in a third time in order to get a refund for the original purchase amount and the cost of the purchase plan due to the way the claim and process was handled.

    I purchased a 3 year warranty.. My experience has been horrible.. I had my ice maker for about a year.. I filed my claim on April 9, 2024.. I received an email that said.. I will receive an email when a replacement has been found.. Give 2-3 business days... So 2 weeks went by.. No email... I reached out to Square Trade.. Another week or so went by... I emailed them again... Then I received an email with potential options for replacement... I made my decision within minutes of receiving the email.. & responded back.. with my choice..

    I received an email that said my ice maker had shipped a week later.. But NO TRACKING NUMBER!!! I waited about 2 weeks.. Still NO ICE MAKER.. I then reach out to Square Trade again... Telling them I feel they are a scam with no intentions on replacing my ice maker & I feel as if they think I was just going to get frustrated & go buy another while they didn't make good of my 3 year warranty... I then received an email with a number to call & speak to a representative... So the representative couldn't give me a tracking number.. Claim a request had to be submitted for it... She wouldn't even put me through to the department that handles the tracking.. So I ask to speak to her supervisor... He says the same thing.. But offers me a refund... I accept the terms.. Sign the affidavit requesting a refund.. I also was sent an email saying my refund was approved & to allow 5 business days to receive it in the mail..

    Well needless to say.. today makes the 7th business day & no check yet!! It's been almost 2 MONTHS for something that should have taken a couple of weeks.. Smh.. At this point I'm going to get my ice maker or my money back.. Even if I have to get a lawyer... I don't know how many people this has happened to.. But I'm sure I'm not the ONLY one... I have all my emails saved for evidence..

    I won’t buy insurance next time. I would rather pay for the repairs out of pocket and deal face to face with a computer repair shop. Slow confusing service. Aggravating technical requirements to send 11 different image files in separate emails. Needless runaround. They wanted to just replace the charger when the laptop has fried two chargers already. I had to plead with them to actually accept the computer for repair. They asked for images of the computer turned on after I told first rep the thing was sparking and smoking.

    I’ve dealt with at least four different reps. No regard for consumer safety. It's like they wanted me to do the work of a technician. It took a week of messages back and forth for them to even accept my unit for repair and I have to wait on them to send me a box to send it by mail to an unknown service provider God only knows where. Shame on Costco for putting customers through this and shame on Allstate. Also letter says that they won’t cover liquid damage when I have drops and spills coverage. Bait and switch. And they want me to sign a new contract with them accepting vague services with no guarantees.

    I bought a oversized motorized recliner from Nebraska Furniture mart, it cost $1200 and I purchased a 5 year protection plan. The chair died in the fully reclined position in under 18 months.     Purchased a 75" Samsung TV from Costco and purchased the Allstate coverage at the same time. About two months after the Samsung factory warranty ran out the picture quit. Costco concierge service walked me thru the factory resets to no avail. Costco reminded me of the Allstate coverage I had purchased and forwarded Allstate’s number and the purchase receipt for the TV. A claim was filed and a claim number issued.     Poor warranty and very disappointed with the TV warranty this time. They used to be great. It's been 4 days and I'm still haven't got a replacement TV. My wife is handicapped and can't get out of bed so she has to sit there with no TV to watch because Allstate wants to send me a cheap TV when I ordered a brand name TV and they want to replace it with the cheap one but no name brand on when I bought a brand name Philips. I don't understand why they just can't get me a gift card from Walmart so I can just go and get another TV at my local Walmart which would make more sense. I don't feel comfortable having a TV shipped.

    I purchased Allstate for a greenhouse that I bought. Then, I had a claim and I was told that my claim was accepted and that I would be sent out a replacement part or a replacement greenhouse, depending. But a couple of days later, I was sent another email that said they needed pictures so I did. Then, a couple of days later, I received another email that said my claim was denied and that I would be getting nothing. The issue was the material in the windows was very brittle and just in a regular wind blew out. I could understand them not covering that but the one side seam completely split from the bottom to the top. But I was just told that that was the end of it and I wasn't given a contact person. I'd tell others to not get Allstate Protection Plans. It was 30 bucks and it was 30 bucks wasted.

    My experience with Allstate has been good. My game was cutting off randomly and I couldn't figure out what was going on. So, I had to put in a claim to have my PlayStation 5 fixed. I went online through my Walmart app, and it guided me on how to put the claim in. I had to upload a picture of my receipt to the website. It was easy and didn't take that long because I could upload it by just using my phone. Once I put the claim in, it was approved and Allstate sent me an email with the label. I had to provide my own box with the tape and all the packaging materials. So, they just told me what I needed to do. I needed to go about printing the label and where I could take it.     Anything high value item, I buy Allstate Protection Plans. Filing a claim and getting it, easy. I had a claim on my laptop screen. I bought the laptop for $650. I put the claim, and they asked me to take to the licensed laptop repair shop. I went there and they gave me a quote of $614. I told them that I bought the laptop for 650. But right now, if I bought the same version laptop, I could get it for 550. But they are ready to pay the repair cost rather than just provide me with a new laptop. They did not allow me to purchase a new laptop. It didn't make sense when they ask me to get it repaired rather than just pay for the new item. Other than that, I would recommend them.

    Our KitchenAid fridge was above 40 degrees again. You had me unplug fridge and let the ice buildup melt. We did and turned it back on and ice quickly formed again. Your agent said it was a sealed system problem and contact KitchenAid on 5/20/24. I said I didn't think that was the problem because you had told me that was the problem in the 2 previous times this has happened. I was told to get Quinco to come out on 5/24/24 to diagnose the problem. Quinco charged $134 dollars which you quickly reimbursed. They found that it wasn't a sealed system problem but the drain in the bottom was clogged with foam from the manufacturing of the fridge and it was not repairable.

    I got a email acknowledging this on 5/24/24 which said: "We are sorry to hear your item could not be repaired and we will proceed with offering an alternative resolution to resolve your claim." Since I had not heard anything further and the fridge is back above 40 already, I called you today 5/31/24. You gave me a new claim number and send it to the replacement team telling me I would get the offer to get reimbursed for what I paid or get a replacement offer in one business day. Agent thanked me for calling in and didn't know why this wasn't sent to the replacement team on 5/24/24 as was mentioned in the email of that day. So now we're expecting the offer to be sent to us on 6/3/24 some 9 days later than it should have been and we will again lose food because fridge is already above 40. We await the offer on 6/3/24.

    My Robot vacuum was shipped in for warranty repair. In the return shipping to me it was damaged by FEDEX. I attempted to file a Damaged package claim and was told the shipper is required to file the claim. Allstate had me ship the now water damaged item back to them then canceled my warranty claiming the item was no longer covered because of the water damage. I attempted to explain that they needed to start a claim with FedEx for the damaged package. They have refused to start the claim. FedEx is insisting that a claim be started by Allstate since they are the shipper of the package. I have been getting the run around from these two companies for over a month and am still out my $200 vacuum. There is absolutely no reason for all of this. I have photos of the package and have documented everything for the case. FedEx agrees it's a damaged package but needs Allstate to start the claim.

    I had a reconditioned computer that I got off of eBay which came with a free Allstate coverage for a year. When it had an issue, I reached out to the guy that sold it to me because it had been six months. He told me to talk to Allstate and see what they would say. I called Allstate and they said I had to go back to eBay and get some number. So that took a while because it was a hard thing to get into. I called eBay and they gave me some number. They told me to give that to Allstate, so when I went back, I gave that to Allstate.

    I got ahold of some young guy and he had to talk to his boss. It was a long process. But he walked me through some stuff on the phone. He asked me if it was all right to delete everything and then start over. He reset the whole computer then I had to reprogram everything back in. Then it got all messed up and I just throwed it away. It wasn't worth the aggravation. I'm 81 years old and I don't know about all this stuff. For $200, I'll go buy a new one.

    We paid for a Square trade plan for our Samsung 75-inch TV, 18 months after we bought the TV it failed and since our plan was for four years, we called Allstate Square Trade and expected to receive another Samsung 75-inch TV. What they sent us was not what we paid for when we bought the agreement, what they sent without us having a choice was an LG 75-inch TV and we Hate it. So when you purchase your Square Trade agreement for a certain brand, don’t be fooled into thinking that that is the same brand you will receive if you ever have to file a claim.

    I used the Remus gaming headset for work and it went out on me. People were hearing me, but it was static. So, I filed a claim a couple of months ago. I'm not tech-savvy and I didn't know that I had to follow up on an email. The second time around, they said it would take two to three business days. It'd been seven days at some point and I asked Allstate what was going on. One day, the rep would say, "Well, there was a tracking number. It just never got sent to you. It would be sent to you within 24 hours." But within 24 hours, I got an email that it would be an additional two to three business days. So I got upset.

    There was an issue talking to a supervisor for both days. The first time, I had to pull teeth to get to talk to a manager. Then the second time, when I finally got it fixed, the guy would not give me the manager for nothing. I asked for a supervisor, but they didn't give me anything. I had to keep repeating myself over and over. I told them, "I asked for a supervisor for a reason. It's not like you can't help me. I'm telling you, you can't help me because I've been down that route." Two to three business days is not cutting out for me. I thought I was gonna get my money's worth and just didn't.

    The first time that I talked to somebody, they were unprofessional in how they talked to me and how they wouldn't give me the supervisor right away. On the second day, the guy didn't give me the supervisor right away, but he was a little bit more professional in how he talked to me, even though I was upset. He was still calm and collected the whole time. I ended up not getting my headphones. Allstate gave me a refund. It was a Walmart gift card. Overall, I would recommend Allstate for the most part because they are affordable insurance and it seems like they would get their job right. There's just miscommunication sometimes.

    OS problem, had Windows11 on it (came with W11). Your tech monkeys "fixed" it by loading W10. Then they did a lousy job repackaging it (I sent it in the original box, with its custom packing, which they chopped up and stuffed back into the box). Your shipping company then must have tossed it around like a basketball (google that to see how lousy these UPS/FEDEX drivers can be.) It was returned to me with a broken front to the case, which cannot be replaced (not available) so I'll always be reminded of Allstate's lousy service every time I look at it. Why don't you offer the option of local service upfront, to avoid the shipping and permanent damage that ensues from shippers who don't care about the quality of their service? Why? Why?? Why???

    My screen on the iPhone 11 hasn't been working the greatest and Allstate told me that it was still under warranty with Apple and to go to Apple first. But it’s too old and it was refurbished. So, it was not under warranty at all. So, I don't know why Allstate tried to tell me to go to Apple first. I told them Apple just kicked me back to them and they were unwilling to do anything up front. I would have to just pay out of pocket to fix it and then get reimbursed with Walmart gift cards. I sent it back for "repair" again and it was returned with the same error. I called for a follow up and the claim was denied stating this type or repair isn't covered under warranty and they can done all they can do.     We only had the TV for a month and there was no sound. I sent in a claim to Allstate and I had to call Vizio to let them know that. Why should I have to do it when that's Allstate's job? I pay them to do that. They wanted me to do everything, like call them, let them know what was going on, and then give a call back to them, taking down their name and phone number. When I connected with somebody else, they didn't put it down in the system that that box was already opened when we purchased the box. So they let it go. But they were really arguing with me. At the end of the day, they did what they had to do. But the problem was the attitude that we got.

    The claims process with Allstate is very well. Whatever item that was broken, I returned it and it got back, without paying an additional fee. I requested for something recently in regards to the Nintendo Switch but I didn't get any answer about it. But I have gotten one of my claims back to me. For the washing machine, I requested a refund for the missing piece. I requested to get a replacement but Allstate gave me a credit reward instead. I was hoping I would probably get the item back but I couldn't do that. The customer service is always good. One of my major issues is engaging in a conversation with somebody over the phone and not interpreting what I'm trying to tell them. But I never had that type of issue with them.

    We have Allstate for several computers and a telephone. We had a claim on one of the computers when one of the kids unfortunately had a coughing spell and spilled their drink. They gave us a credit to get it replaced but on the replacement that we received, one of the keyboards wasn't working any longer after only having it for a couple of months. The keys were getting stuck. We just filed that one and that's being replaced. I filed the claims online and the website was pretty decent. The only feedback I gave them on that was that they should make it a little more friendlier for the elderly population, because you do have to navigate through the page to find the button to start the claim. Other than that, I love to have the extended warranty on any of the products that I purchased because you never know what happens.

When some of the buttons on the controller weren't working properly, we were able to send it in and they were able to fix it then send it back to us. I first started the claim online, then I had to call them and I gave them all of my information as well as what was wrong with the product.     The locking mechanism on my patio umbrella quit working. When it was extended out, it would periodically drop down. I got the umbrella through Amazon so I contacted them. I got an email saying Allstate would be in contact with me the next day but I never got that. It took Allstate a while to get back to me and I had to pursue it further.     I don't have a good experience with Allstate. They're ripping people off. I bought a power wash machine for almost $400. When I bought the protection plan for it, I thought when I'd have a problem, they'd give me another unit or let me buy another one. I took the product to Walmart but they told me it was not them and to go with the third party. I asked, "Who's the third party? I bought it here." They said, "Go talk to Allstate, and they will either give you the money for it or send you another product."

    I called that number, talked to them for over 40 minutes and in the end they said they were gonna send me an email, take the product somewhere authorized to get it diagnosed, pay $100 for the diagnose fee and let them know what the product needed. This is not a warranty. When you buy the plan, the salesman at the store, gives you a really good picture. But now that I have a problem, no one is there to help me out the way that they explained it. I do a lot of things here and there and don't know where I should take this product. They should make an appointment for me, have someone come pick up this item and do whatever needs to be done.

    The experience of when I called was good but I don’t like what happened with what the insurance is doing now, I’ve had to use the insurance a couple of times and both times I filed a claim online and was able to take it back to Walmart and exchange it for something else, now Allstate is giving me 3 choices. None of which I wanted but was closer to what I had, I understand that Allstate can’t give the full value of what it was but they can give a store credit so I (customer) can get something that they want, even if they have to pay more, I don’t know if I’ll purchase the protection plan again and it takes too long. Allstate hasn’t even put in my order and it’s been 1 week, when I filed a claim before I had my new machine in a couple days.

    My iPhone 11Pro wouldn’t power on after dropping it in the shower. I went to the Apple Store to get it checked out. They looked at the phone and said “it can’t be replaced because of water damaged by looking at the front camera." I forgot to get paperwork for this at the time. I contacted Allstate to file a claim. They immediately asked for this paperwork and suggested a local shop closest to my zip code. After getting official diagnosis paperwork for the water damage a replacement iPhone was shipped in two days and gave them a the damaged one. The only complaint I have during this process is the step by step procedures to get it done. It took about three days or a few phone calls to get things clarified. Once things are such as account numbers and initial coverage dates things went smooth but did require some patience.

    I had trouble at first because of my email on record had got hacked and I called them to try and get my email changed to my new email address. It took several phone calls to get that resolved.     My claim took longer than expected. I did the initial claim online, and received a claim number. The website said to take the phone to a specific local repair center. I took it there with my claim number, but the rotator center said they couldn't see my claim in their database. I used the Allstate "chat" feature and was on it for an hour before I was told that they couldn't accept the attached docs in the chat. So, I uploaded the correct documents online to verify my phone purchase, but the first representative said they didn't have the price I paid, or the date of purchase.

    But the documents did have everything needed:
    1: Date of purchase
    2: Retailer
    3: Product model number

    4: Price paid for phone

    I called Allstate and was disconnected from agent when he put me on hold. I then called again and finally got some help. The agent said my docs looked good but that I would have to wait another 24 hours for the final approval. After 2 days, my claim was finally authorized for repair. The repair center "CPR Repair" In King of Prussia was awesome, however. They got my phone fixed in about 90 minutes and it looks great and operates perfectly. I wish Allstate had a faster resolution time and more helpful representatives than the first one I spoke with.

    Samsung Washer WA52AQ5500AV. Purchased at Nebraska Furniture Mart. I purchased this plan in case anything happened that would need to be addressed. I started the claim, it was a waste of time from the start. My washer is making noise as it spins. Started 4 days ago. I've had the washer 2 years 4 months. No damage. Not loud, just whining. Explained it to the CSA multiple times. Was told to take a video of the problem. And we could troubleshoot the issue. I ask WHY am I doing the work, when I purchased this plan from Allstate/Square Trade for a authorized repairmen to come and determine what the issue is. Again, need to take the video for them to identify the issue. The CSA is not state side, nor was the chat agent I tried to talk to. Which could have contributed to the issue of communication. I feel like I wasted my money for this protection plan. Will never purchase anything backed by Square Trade again.

    Horrific company - if you have an alternate choice - choose that! Have spoken to a total of 7 different people after 4 hours of online chat because you can't get a phone number to talk to anyone until after you jump through stupid insignificant hoops. ALL of them had different information - not one person - had same info including supervisors. Everything is to be done on your own including the diagnosing! I paid to have an easy experience in a frustrating event of an appliance not working instead the easiest thing so far is the washing machine is broke. The representatives are useless and incompetent. I may be stuck with them but I will sooner go without an appliance than ever deal with these imbeciles.

    Purchased a warranty on our LG tv when we purchased it from Sam's Club less than 2 years ago. The picture won't come on. I called SquareTrade to start the claim. I submitted my pictures and videos. They sent the parts to my house two days later. They sent me a link to schedule a repair appointment and it did nothing. I called SquareTrade back and they manually made the repair appointment for Friday from 1pm-5pm. I received an email about my appointment confirmation.

    When I clicked on it the appointment confirmation it showed 8am-12pm which was not the appointment timeframe that I requested. I have tried for 2 days to get in touch with the technician. SquareTrade gave me the technician's phone number and literally every number I push at the prompts just lets me leave a message. They have a phone number on their message that says you can text it. I have tried texting and leaving messages...no one returns phone calls. I have yet to speak to an actual person at the technician's office or the technician.

    I received an email from SquareTrade yesterday and when I clicked on the link it said "Important: Please contact the technician to re-confirm the appointment The technician may also contact you in case of any updates". Again...same phone number that no one answers and no one returns voicemails. So I called SquareTrade again and asked them to confirm my appointment. SquareTrade said they would email me.

It is extremely frustrating considering I took the morning off of work. I called SquareTrade and told them the tech was a no show for my 4 hour window this morning and they said "give the technician until the end of the day and if they haven't came then call us back". Ok cool so now this has turned into an entire day off of work with the possibility that a technician will show up. I have a broken tv, two packages of parts to fix it and no technician.     If I could give them negative stars I would. I Have a claim. I’ve been discriminated against. I am disabled and have a hard time speaking at times. My husband is deployed and has been worrying about us nonstop since Saturday the 4th. Our refrigerator went out still in 5-year warranty. They want me to place a call to have someone out to fix it. Mind you they were supposed to try and call me first to schedule. They had 48 hours and nothing!! We’ve lost hundreds in food. Cannot afford to replace so we had to resort to the base pantry!! And I’ve never been so humiliated in my life.

    Again I cannot really speak and I was going to do my best when they called about the appt but I’m better with email and text. I asked the gentleman for help.     I spent $75 on a cellphone bluetooth that within 3 months, broke. I bought a warranty. Filed the claim and they said we will follow up in a few days. 1st ridiculous email offered me 3 MOTORCYCLE HELMETS with built in bluetooths. I emailed back saying this would be ILLEGAL for me to drive my car with this motorcycle helmet with the built in bluetooth because I would not be able to hear traffic, it would block my vision, etc, etc... And I also sent them 3 comparable bluetooths from Amazon (their source) starting at $50 (same as their options) $74 (same as my cost) and $94 best quality. I also opted for my money back, seeing it is a warranty.

    I hadn’t heard back and I received this email asking for the How’d We Do option I am replying to. It also said, if we missed the mark, to call. I called yesterday and spoke with someone, explained everything, then he spoke to a Manager then said that they would get back to me in a few days. Well today, they got back to me, sent me another email with their means to handling the situation. This time it was gaming headphones, all wired, so please tell me how am I supposed to plug into my – whatever I am listening to—while I am driving my car, going to the bank, taking the kids to school… The point, how do I answer calls and listen to news while plugged into?? Yep, explain that one to me Lucy!! And to top it off, today’s email was "We did such a great job and ordered your replacement." Even though I didn't make the decision yet.

    The mechanical process of filing the claim with Allstate for the headphones was easy but getting indemnified was difficult. I submitted the information and they acknowledged it. They offered three alternative products that were nothing like what my original headphone was like. One thing wasn't even bluetooth and it required one to plug it into a computer. The other was a giant gaming headset. They were not at all like kind or quality and they were all on Amazon.

    I went to Amazon and found something that was similar and also in a similar price range to what they had offered to me. It was another LG product. But they said, “Sorry. We can't consider that. You have to choose among these three or we'll give you a cash reimbursement.” I opted to get a check but my preference would have been that they replaced the headphone and what they offered me was pure laziness. The other negative thing is that you can't call someone and when you interact via chat, even though you authenticated, they ask you the same thing over and over again that clearly is already part of your claim. It's very frustrating and hard to deal with.

    I got a Walmart protection plan covered by Allstate and when I got bad breaks on my new electric bike, they told me to go to Pexmor. But Pexmor said they were not going to cover it and they told me to call Allstate. I explained to Allstate that the Pexmor bicycle coverage is over in one year and that they don't cover the bicycles that we buy directly from Walmart. They got to be bought directly from Pexmor. Since Pexmor sold the bikes to Walmart, then Walmart is responsible.

    But Allstate did nothing and I'm about to call them again. I got to keep telling them that I bought a protection plan for $52 something and I can't get my brakes fixed. I was expecting them to at least take pictures of the brakes and cover it. But it's been a difficult process. After this one, I'm going to resell the bike, get another one, and get another extra bicycle under another different protection plan. I know that Allstate does a good job and this is not their fault. But they should take responsibility of the protection plans instead of having the dispute with Pexmor.

    Worst experience ever. They told don’t you tell their insurance is a one time use so don’t waste your money. Tried to have my couch repaired during my active period and though I had active insurance/2023-2028, representative told me I was denied because I was filing a claim a second time within in the 5 yr period. I’m sorry but a one time use is not insurance. A tear in my couch from an accident was reported as “negligence and abuse”. Awful word choice to a customer that tries to take care of their furniture and extremely insulting regardless of the situation. Don’t buy their insurance!

    I called the Allstate claim team to follow up on the deductible that I was told for a recent claim. When I filed the claim, it was shown that the deductible would be $89, though when I submitted receipts for the claim I was then told that it would be $199. My policy does call for a $199 deductible, which is why I was initially confused about the $89 deductible listed, though it says deductibles may vary from claim to claim so I didn’t think much of it. Each of the 2 representatives and 1 supervisor were confused about what I was explaining and though I don’t think there was an explicit answer given, I was able to get the difference issued since no one seemed to be able to say why I was told different amounts in the first place. The claims process was very smooth up until this discrepancy, so I’m hoping that if I do have to file future claims, I’m able to navigate them more smoothly than I was this one.

    I purchased a Keurig coffee maker from Walmart and got the extended warranty through Allstate. The Keurig failed within the warranty period and I filed a claim, which was accepted, however, I get an email from Allstate giving me 3 options for a replacement. 1 is a Nescafe machine, 1 is a machine made by Famiworths, which I've never heard of but appears to be a Chinese Keurig knock-off, and the last is a travel bag for a Keurig, not even something that, you know, actually makes coffee!!     Purchased a Gazebo with the protection plan and when it was time to make a claim the claim was denied due to weather. Keep in mind that this is an outdoor furniture. Why sell a protection plan for an outdoor furniture when they know that it will get damaged due to weather. This is a easy way they can make money because they already know that the claim will be denied. This is a scam.

    I did a claim for a bag with Allstate. The wheel was shredded, screws were coming out of the handle and the zippers were messing up. It was fairly easy to do it the second time. I tried to go through the first time, but they said it was under a warranty and I would have to send it back to the manufacturer.     Purchased a ride on truck for grandchildren for Christmas in November 2023, gave as a Christmas present. Kids do not live close, so since December, they have only ridden about 4-5 times. Started having issues with the truck not running. We had purchased the 3 year protection plan. I started working with Allstate/Squaretrade about 2 weeks ago, and we still do not have a resolution. First, it is nearly impossible to get someone on chat, then when I finally called, I was given an option to find a local repair person. I explained that I live in a very rural area, and this would probably not be a good solution, but was told that was where I needed to start. So, I did, and as I thought, the closest repair shop is 4 hours away.

    Allstate wanted me to pay someone to drive 4 hours one way to fix a ride on car. I then started the process to contact someone for another route for our claim, but this time after waiting on chat for 15 minutes, finally called, and was told I needed to call back in an hour for a supervisor to help me. This entire process has been a mess, and I have yet to have a resolution.

    Multiple movies and tv shows are too dark to view action on a nighttime scene or shadows. I reset my Samsung tv as per your instructions and the problem is not as bad now but still not what I consider a great picture. No more Samsung, that is all. That is all

    My refrigerator quit working and I have a warranty with the company. Contacted them and they referred me to the manufacturer for repair but told me I could file a claim for lost food. Filed the claim and they approved the maximum of $300 in the form of an e gift card. When I received the gift card it was for Home Depot. Home Depot doesn't sell food so I contacted them and they said they would issue a check for the food, it was their mistake. Three weeks go by and nothing so I contacted them again and they say they are not reissuing the reimbursement. It is completely ridiculous that they would issue reimbursement for food in the form of a Home Depot gift card.

    So we went through the process of claim for our 50" Philips TV, was told they would send us a list of options. When we got the email, there was ONE option. An ON bottom of the barrel tv, that I researched, that was not close to the same and was well over 100 dollars cheaper. What is with the games, why not replace it with the same Make and model, I mean that's what we paid the warranty for right? To get the same item if God forbid it fails? In all, I do not recommend getting this insurance or any tv with this insurance, unless you want to be screwed if your TV fails. STAY AWAY.

    Allstate is the worst company for insurance for any products. You pay for insurance cover and then when the time come for replacement or reimbursement they give you the run around. I had a 15x15 outdoor water slide and they wanted me to take it to a nearest shop and get it repair. This slide weigh at least 60lbs, and then customer service stated I can have someone to come out to repair the slide and they will refund me within 2 business days. I informed representative what’s the minimum amount because for someone to come out it will cost at least 150.00 just to look at the slide. I’m getting an attorney because I had a contract that I paid when making my purchase. I had water slide for three years and I have 5 year protection plan.

    After I stated I need their address to corporate for my attorney to send a letter. The representative came back and said they made an agreement to requirement be for the total amount of slide and she email an affidavit letter to sign. Why do I have to sign affidavit letter for a contract I already have from Allstate when I purchase my waterslide. No thank you. This company is a scam artist. NEVER PAY FOR INSURANCE WITH THIS COMPANY.. WORST COMPANY EVER…

    The Scooter broke down not even a year of using it. I filled a claim to get it repaired but I need help because I have an Issue with the page that y'all sent me, so. I wrote a email like a week ago and I'm still waiting for that help. Not only that but the service had been very inconvenient and not easy by any mean. I'm not mad at the poor service, just disappointed. I'm not gonna keep going, y'all wasted my time enough, and yes. I need that money back.

    I was very pleased with the entire claim process. Filing a claim on-line was simple and quick. Getting through to speak with a claim representative was also quick and easy with very little wait. A repair technician was scheduled quickly and determined that the screen was defective. Within a couple of days, it was determined that my original purchase price would be refunded instead of trying to repair. Email communications throughout the entire process was very good.     Don't buy any Allstate Protection Pan, it's a scam! I bought the protection plan for the e-bike I purchased from Walmart online, and ALLSTATE keeps giving me hard time giving me all non-solution ways to ask me to find my own repair stores and once none of the repair stores I tried to find myself cannot repair, they ask all the stores to write a prove letter why they cannot repair! They didn't even sell me the item why they need to prove to them they cannot repair? Plus, they do provide contact numbers and technicians' names. ALLSTATE can call to verify but ALLSTATE cannot take this phone call method, they have to have written offical letters with company letter heads!

    This is ridiculous. They are just trying to get away from the claims and putting the customers like me in such hardship! Because of this product, I have been going around the town for the past 2 months by myself trying to find a single store can do the work but none of them can do it! Now AllSTATE wants them to write proof of not able to fix LETTERS???? WHY!?
