We purchased a protection plan because we wanted make sure that we could get our Xbox One controller replaced in the event that something went wrong. It's the fourth one we've had, and they're notorious for having problems. There seems to be a flaw in the design wherein eventually the little joystick things would have a mind of its own and start doing its own thing. It's called drift and it's a common issue. This is the third one we've done since the first one because Microsoft said, “Okay, we'll replace it.” After the first one they did, ever since then, we've bought the protection plan. It's only a couple bucks and it's totally worth it.
The first time we did a claim, Allstate told us, “It’s still within the year warranty, so contact Microsoft.” We did and Microsoft said, “Well, you could just take it to get repaired.” No one repairs those around here, but luckily, my husband had backup controllers. He said, “Hey, can you see if we can do it again?” So I did it online, and all they wanted to do was have us take it somewhere to get it fixed. There's no one around here that fixes those, and if they did, it might cost more than the controller.
I got on the chat and said, “Hey, we don't have a place around here that can fix them.” The guy I chatted with said, “Okay. It's been accepted. We'll send you a return label. Just ship it back to us.” I thought, “Sweet! Sounds good to me.” It was simple. I printed out the label and sent the controller back. I took it to Fedex yesterday. They scanned it, and within three hours, I had the Target gift card in my email, which is what the guy said would happen. Allstate has quick customer service and they help people out with their problem and solve it. They make the process as easy as possible.

I got Allstate for a prescription eyewear at Sam's Club. I tripped, fell and hit my head on the pavement, and the glasses were scratched. I took them back to Sam's Club but they said they couldn't take scratches out, that I'd have to file a claim with Allstate and have them remade. The claims process was difficult only because Sam's Club printed me a new receipt to use and I had to upload it three times. The third time, I found my original receipt, and that's what Allstate took. They didn't take the reprinted one from Sam's Club, which they said was good. But once I got the right receipt uploaded, it wasn't even a day that Allstate approved the loss. Three days later, I had a check in my hand. It'll cover the lens and I won't need my frames replaced. We're quite pleased with Allstate. We recently switched to them with our homeowners and car insurance too.

I got an Allstate plan for my glasses. When they were knocked off, hit the ground and scratched up, it was easy to do a claim. I had to answer some questions through an email which was simple. Then Allstate sent me my money the next day to replace my glasses so I felt very good about it. I would tell others to get the protection from Allstate. It works.

When my son's eyeglasses fell and hit the surface, the edge of it broke, so the lens fell out and it got scratched as well. I submitted a claim online and Allstate's website was user-friendly. What kills me is I had the receipt, but I still had to look for the manufacturer number and the model number, which are not easily obtained. I had to go back to the store, then they went back and gave it to me. It was seamless and quick after that. Allstate ended up giving me an electronic Sam's card with the reimbursement so I could take it to Sam's, and they would charge that card for it. However, I had to come out of pocket ‘cause they didn't cover the taxes, which is weird, because I paid for the taxes on the original one. I get that part of it though.

I purchased a plan for a tablet for a five-year-old. He dropped it and the screen cracked. When I filed a claim with Allstate, they wanted me to give them my receipt and answer a couple of questions. It was very simple. Then they sent me another email telling me they were gonna replace it for a tablet of equal value. However, it's very hard to find information on your claim and your tracking number. They told me on the 31st that they would mail me a replacement and send me a tracking number in three business days but I still haven't received my replacement or a tracking number. But I had another item I did a repair through them and it was very easy. They sent it back within seven days. That was a good process, too.

When I bought a couple of tablets for my grandchildren, I decided to buy the warranty with them and the price was reasonable. Both of those tablets were damaged and it took me a while to do a claim because I've been so busy and I needed to concentrate. I'm usually not very good with computers as well and when I tried to do a claim a couple of times, I failed. This time around, my son-in-law went on and keyed in the stuff for one of the tablets. Everything was settled on that claim and I got the refund through a gift card to go back to the place where I bought the tablet and purchase something else with it. I also need to file a claim for the other one, and I hope the procedure is as easy as it was this time around. Overall, I'm satisfied, and I would recommend Allstate to a friend because they definitely need a warranty on some of those items.

When I made the initial call to Grand Appliance Repair, I was referred to and forwarded to the extended warranty number. The gentleman that answered my call was very respectful, gathered the correct needed information from me. I did have little trouble understanding him. There was some barrier in his dialect but when I asked to repeat, he politely and calmly did so. At the end of the call, he was instructing me how to capture a video of the problem when appliance was in use. Sending me a link to access and send video back. The appliance would shut off with no sound each time it was started and one time made a grating sound. Told him first I did not know how to capture it shutting off and I didn’t know how to use a link or send video back. My understanding of technology not the best. I said just send a repairman, I don’t care how long I have to wait for a person to come.
He did check with his “team”, came back to the phone and said someone would be out in 5-7 days to diagnose. Received letter from Allstate indicating they thought they could diagnose from what I said to customer service and parts were shipped. Repairman did not use those parts but replaced what he thought was the problem but machine continued to shut down each time he tried. He said either the motor or electrical problem or both. Only two people in this household, machine not abused ever washing clothes. Received a letter indicating reimbursement would be process, not repair. Was sent check and received in 7 days.

My experience with the whole process was easier than I truly expected! I would recommend Allstate Protection to any and everyone who needed it. I submitted my claim and got a response in a matter of hours. The only hiccup I had was with the repair location and I come to realize that I misread my instructions.

"Jack" (I wonder if this was his real name..?) was excellent in being able to handle my claim. He was courteous, helpful, and efficient. Glad I purchased the plan; GE was no help whatsoever in honoring their manufacturer warranty, as I had purchased the ice maker through eBay.

I had a wonderful experience with Allstate. I submitted my claim and heard back within hours. The only problem I had was taking the pictures and getting them sent. The stills didn't show the problem very well so I had to take video off my screen during a broadcast. The video really expose the problem. However it was longer and need to be sent in a different manner because of its length. I finally figure it out and the claim was approved a few hours after they received it. My new TV was received about five days later. The model number was the same as my old model but it was this year's production. I couldn't ask for better treatment!

One of the cup holders began to crack and break off. Part was sent and received in a short time. Cornerstone replaced as soon as our schedule worked out. I wish I had ordered a second replacement as a spare and would like to purchase one if possible. The other one is showing some wear but has not cracked.

It was a very easy process to get help from Allstate regarding the replacement of my recliner. I contacted them on the phone number that was provided and walked through step by step in order to get my recliner fixed or a refund extended. After they sent a repairman it was decided to give a refund. I was contacted by email repeatedly with details. Very pleased.

Paid for insurance to replace lights or have repaired if they went bad for which they did go bad. 9 out of 10. Total cost for the 10 $231.00 and you refund me the cost of the insurance $ 19.99. What a joke!!! I will never use your insurance ever again and I will be posting it on social media.. With the emails to and from you. So people won't be deceived..

Our two-year-old GE Cafe French door refrigerator failed twice within a short time. While I had trouble with malfunctions of the online site, when I was finally able to speak with SquareTrade people on the phone they were wonderful and helpful, and my two claims were quickly resolved. Working directly with people is the best way to resolve Issues! The cost and effort are worth it and result in satisfaction for all concerned. Great service and value. We are human beings—not robots—and need to truly connect with one another to achieve understanding! Now our appliance is fixed and working perfectly!

I was very happy with the repair of my laptop. It was like taking it out of the box for the first time. The repair was nice and fast and I got my laptip back one week of being delivered to Squaretrade. Very happy customer. Very prompt and professional. Process has been very well planned except for when my television was determined not under Allstate warranty but still under the manufactured warranty the process did not notify me that Allstate was not covering yet. After several calls I had to figure out what was going on. Other than this it's been a good experience.

The experience was very frustrating. My pool was leaking for a month and I got stupid responses. Bring the pool in to inspect the damage. I had to take numerous photos and submit them. Finally was given an e-card at Walmart. When you purchase a warranty you expect a repair or a replacement in a timely manner.

Recently my fairly new TV just quit working. Luckily, when I purchased it, I also included a 5-year service plan. I went online, completed the required information, and was quickly connected to a customer rep. She (Ash) was great. She took care of me with the claim process and in a very short time, tests were run and my claim was approved for service. Repair parts were received at my home in 3 days, and once I notified the claims dept that the parts arrived, I had a call later that day from the repair tech and he arrived one hour later. Within 30 minutes he had the new parts installed, and my TV was up and running. Thank You Allstate on a great service experience...!

This has been a horrible experience! Everything seemed to be a loop. You were told to call a number but yet, it directs you to a text. Then nothing comes of it. You pay for a repair, replacement or reimbursement. But Allstate said that I needed to figure out what the issue, buy the parts, make the repairs and then get reimbursed for them. If I was comfortable doing all of that, I would not have bought the warranty to begin with!

Began the Claim Sept. 1, 2024. Claim resolved at the end of Oct 2024. I am truly happy with the final resolution; however, I felt that the claim took longer than it should have. I would still recommend Allstate Protection Plan when purchasing a warranty, especially for a large appliance. I hope my survey helps someone with deciding on whether to purchase a warranty.

I purchased Allstate for a Bosch kitchen range. It was the extended warranty plan offered at the store. I did file a claim. I bought this range last year and I had about six repair calls with Bosch, the manufacturer. Finally, we got to the point where I said to Bosch, "You haven't been able to fix my oven, give me a new one." They said, "Absolutely not. We're done with you. We have nothing to do with you. Don't darken our door." At that point, I called the store and they said, "You've got to deal with the extended warranty."
So, I called Allstate. They scheduled a service call immediately and sent me parts that they thought they might need to repair the problem I was complaining about, and they scheduled a visit. A few days before they came, Bosch called me, and the representative from Bosch said, "We don't know what anybody told you, but that's a lot of nonsense. And you have warranties on all the service calls we've made for you. So, now, we're going to fix your oven."
They scheduled to come out and I called Allstate and said, "Stand down your repair man because I don't think he wanna come and spend time and money if Bosch is gonna fix it." Bosch came and they did things and it's now working. So, I called Allstate back and said, "It's working. Tell me how to send the parts back," and I sent the parts back. So, my experience with Allstate has been fine. They were very supportive.

Communication was pretty good. Emails were sent within a day or two. But I was disappointed that the replacement TV was not the same “kind” as what I previously had. I had OLED LG TV and was only given Samsung QLED as a replacement. I was told it was a comparable TV. To me OLED & QLED are different TVs. I was happy to have the extra warranty. However not being given the same TV choice as a replacement was extremely disappointing.

When we bought a Fitbit through eBay, Allstate was part of the offer and the price was very reasonable. When we filed a claim, I was really impressed with the way Allstate handled it. They have a website which walks you through the whole process of entering the needed information. Everything was paperless. It was very easy and there was a very quick response. They asked some questions how it happened. We told them the instrument just stopped working and we couldn't get it to run. In a very short time, they came to a decision and issued the payment.

The picture on the first TV went out completely. Allstate asked me to take a picture of the front and the back, and I followed all the instruction and sent it to them. They had more questions and I answered all of them. For the second TV, the picture would come and go, then I would see a blue screen. I took a picture and video of it and sent it to them. They asked me to do it one more time which I did.
They replaced the TV and called me to ask if I was happy with everything and if everything was working. The first time when they replaced the other TV, the TV was from Best Buy. It didn't work and had no voice. I called Allstate up and the rep said “Ma'am, put them in the box because if you just got it and it's not working. I don't want you have something to go through trouble.” I then took them to UPS. Allstate told me to take a picture from UPS and the claim number and to send it to them. I did and the next day, they said my new TV was on the way. On both claims, Allstate gave me such a good service. They kept in touch with me and every one of them was so polite on the phone. I was in customer service, and Allstate goes above and beyond. Every individual was trained and did an outstanding job.

I got an Allstate plan for a cellphone. When I filed for a claim, they told me what I needed to do and what I had to send to them including the phone. Then they told me they would send me a virtual Walmart card, and they did it within a week. I'd tell others to go with Allstate. Their price is good.

My microwave broke down and on the 3rd. I went to Walmart on that day on my account and ordered a new one. It was delivered that night but I need to have it replaced. When I spoke with Allstate, they told me to get back to them and that they could handle the situation. Then they said to take it up with Walmart. But I have been dealing with Walmart Mainstay on returning this microwave and they have not acted in good faith at all. They said they would send somebody here to take this big old thing up but they are not in touch with me at all. I was in touch with Mainstay Walmart still on the one-year warranty and they assured me that something would happen in 24 hours. They said I would have a new microwave back today but nothing has happened at all.
I have talked to about 20 different people between Mainstay Walmart, the manager at Walmart, and Allstate. Everybody's been polite. It's just nobody seems to want to take the initiative and nobody is taking any responsibility for giving this thing back to the store and replacing it so I can have a microwave. I'm 66 years old, disabled, and I don't drive and I can't. This thing boxed up is about the size of an ottoman in my living room and there's no way I could get it back to the store. They're telling me they're going to do this and nothing happens. Being a Senior Walmart+ member, this is ridiculous.

I purchased an Allstate protection plan for a printer which I did online through Walmart. When I had to file a claim, it went fine. I filled out a form and told them we had a problem with the unit. They made an offer to compensate me for it rather than fix it. The compensation was fair and I was satisfied.

When I was buying a laptop on eBay, there was an Allstate option to get a protection plan, and I bought the plan for a year. The laptop worked really well for about a year, then towards the end of it, the charging port stopped working and then the computer started crashing even when it was at full charge. The problems started within the year, but by the time I went to file the claim, it had been over that year. When I called Allstate, the representative I was talking to said, "Yeah, I can talk to my manager and we can see if we can make an exception like extend that warranty." He did and it was really helpful.
Allstate had me send the laptop to them and it took about five days for them to receive the package, then they sent me an email confirming that they received it. They're gonna fix my laptop and send it back. I haven't received the laptop back yet, but I had a good experience with Allstate. Filing the claim was really easy, and I really appreciate them extending the warranty.

I bought an electric bike and I also bought a protection plan from Allstate for about three years for this bike. It has a problem with its rear tire. So, I called and asked an officer whether this problem of tire can be protected by the protection plan and he said that the tire is not included in the plan. So, I can only return this electric bike and cancel the protection plan. The manufacturer said that he could send me a new tire, but it requires me to replace it by myself. It's so difficult for me to fix it by myself. It's just a new bike and I don't want to pay money to fix it. I still haven't used it. The manufacturer said that a fast way is to return my electric bike and I can place a new order. I only returned it and I haven't placed a new order.
At the beginning, before buying the electric bike, I talked to an officer. He said, "You can fix the tire and you can set a claim in the protection plan and it will offer you to pay your money back." I think that's great. He said that I also can call the fixer at my home to fix this and Allstate can pay money back. I also sent the claim, but they rejected me and said this can't be included in the protection plan. Overall, I don't know what's included in the protection plan. I just bought it and the worker and I both think I can fix my electric bike for free in the future. I paid this money and they said, "Your problem in electric bike can't be included in the protection plan. So your claim, it'll be rejected." Allstate is terrible.

The TV would not work. It was completely black. It wouldn't turn on or do anything. I first talked to a representative and I had to do a portion of it online. Allstate Protection Plans gave me an option of three. That was a little aggravating on two parts. The online part was fine, but I was instructed to call a technician and had to talk to a technician about everything. I explained everything to the technicians. I had to record a video of what I said so they could make sure that what said was right and I didn't try to just get a free TV out of it. It had to be under eight seconds long for me to be able to send it to them, which was aggravating trying to show them a problem on the TV in that duration. It took me 15 minutes because I took many videos, but they were all too long. I finally had to get to the underneath eight seconds for it to send because other than that, the file was too big. It's hardly enough proof. I don't know if they can change that.
The second thing that was aggravating was when I got the choice of three TVs to choose from, I tried to do it online and select it but it wouldn't take, and I was not sure why. Maybe that one was out of stock and the computer didn't know that. I had to wait a few more days to call back because that was over a weekend. And when I got in touch with somebody, it took a little while with them, too. We ordered the TV that I wanted out of the three. They called back a day after, and said I couldn't get that one because it was out of stock and that I had to pick a different one. It ended up only being one that I could choose instead of the three. That was a little bad. They shouldn't even have the other options. It should have been more streamlined than that. I ended up with the same sort of TV. It was at least the same size, and it worked. I had no problems with it after setting it up.

My glasses got scratched so I filed a claim to Allstate. The claim process was very easy. I would recommend the company. They sent me a check within a week. It was very fast. Allstate did a great job.

I got the protection plan from Allstate for my cellphones and I got a new phone when one of them malfunctioned. It was resetting over and over until it got hot. It was an internal thing. The other is just flashing white and turning on by itself, going through different things. I’m gonna take it and have it repaired and then, Allstate is gonna reimburse me for the cost. The customer service has been great and dealing with them has been perfect.

The smart glasses have a power button on the two temple bars and each one powers individually. Then, they Bluetooth pair together to get stereo sound. The button on the left temple bar didn’t work and originally, I tried to get Lucyd, who is the company that makes the glasses, to back their product. But they wouldn't. I had bought the Allstate plan so I contacted them and let them know that the glasses I had were damaged or weren't working properly. The claims process was a bit cumbersome. Since I bought the plan on eBay when I bought the glasses, they were linked. Allstate knew that I had purchased the glasses through eBay and they asked me to look at three similar glasses to the one I bought and select one. They said they would ship them to me.
I emailed Allstate back and told them that the exact same pair of glasses that I got are still available on eBay. I like the glasses. It's just the one bar that wasn’t working. So I had to choose one of the three and when I got the pair that Allstate sent me from Walmart, it didn't work. So, I had to contact them again and they said they would just give me a refund and send a check. There were three emails and also a phone call before I finally got ahold of the person who took care of the claim. She said it would be one day and they would send me a check. Once Allstate finally got it right, I got the check in two days. So, the total claim was a week.
The experience could be better. Allstate only gave me the three options that I could get from Walmart. They could have said I can go to this spot and purchase the exact same glasses I got for the exact same price. But that's not how they work so that part was frustrating. But overall, they ended up sending me a check for what I paid for the glasses. SquareTrade used to be a standalone and I've insured several things with them and never had any issues. And now, it's Allstate. I would recommend them. They did what they said they would do.

I submitted a claim online with Allstate for my Fitbit. The screen turned bright yellow and I couldn't use it anymore. It was some type of electronic glitch. They replaced it. I paid the $15 deductible and a new one was sent to my house within three days. However, it was difficult to find my claim number and it asked me for another number. It was also difficult to find the initial email from the purchase. I had to remember, "What's the keyword that might make my system pull it up?" Luckily, I still had the box of the original Fitbit. Once I found the information I needed, it was easy to process the claim and I was blown away by the speed in which it was addressed. I even called another Fitbit user and told him, "Next time, buy the insurance."

I got a laptop and I was going to be careful with it. But if I dropped it or it was defective, I needed some measure because I didn't want to eat the whole amount for the repair or replacement. I got the Allstate plan and I submitted a claim when my laptop wouldn't come on one morning. It was blinking a code off of the caps lock key and I knew that was some kind of code for them because that light doesn't usually blink. I told the guy when I called the insurance company and he told me it was probably memory. So he sent me the shipping label then I packed up the laptop and sent it away to FedEx.
I had to take the machine to a FedEx place where FedEx picks up. This happens to be a Dollar General store and they wouldn't give me a receipt for it. I didn't want to give out my phone to people at Dollar General, but I had to give them my phone number and they sent me on a text. FedEx is okay, but the image of the Dollar General is not the same. People run in and steal stuff out of there. So now, I'm dependent on the text message I got as being my receipt. But that's the only thing I didn't like about the process.
Allstate also sent me an email saying it'd be three to five days for them to let me know whether they're going to be able to fix it or whatever would happen next. So they kept me posted and I'm still waiting right now. It took a while to get the label, then I waited a couple of days because I bought another laptop because I couldn't wait. It was going to take 7 to 10 days to get the shipping label. I pay bills over the internet, so I got to have it. And now, I'll have a backup or I can give somebody one if I feel like it.

The first time I used Allstate on a tablet, I had no problem and I got the replacement. But I bought tow tablets and when I used the protection plan on the second one, I had a hellacious time. They kept telling me that it was for the same item, the first one, and it wasn't. Also, I bought the plan online, so I didn't have a receipt. So, I had to go back through Walmart.com, copy everything, go back into Allstate, then paste it all back in there. I had to prove that it was for a different tablet. I had to cut and paste where it showed two tablets being bought on the same receipt. Because both tablets went out within two weeks of each other and I had to claim both of them.
I needed my daughter to help me and once we did that, I got the email then I had the new tablet the next day. But it was a hassle. I need somebody to talk to when I have a problem like that but at the time, I couldn't get through t a person. I have another deal of another one that I need to claim, but I don't want to go in their website because it's a hassle trying to put the claim in because I have nobody to talk to. Allstate needs to have customer service, somebody to talk to. You can't do it through their computerized thing.

Every time I buy something, I get the Allstate Protection Plan. But I had been forgetting that I had the protection plans on most of the things that I have. I lost the TV a year ago and didn't realize that I had a protection plan for it. So it's still in my garage because the warranty had already worn off and there was nothing I could do about that. Then, when the whole cord was shredded on my vacuum and my daughter reminded me that I got the insurance. So I went online and they immediately offered a solution. In the end, they gave me a Walmart card. But we were having complications because they kept trying to send me parts to fix the vacuum and there was no way to fix the cord. I had to talk to someone because I had to explain to them that it couldn't be fixed and it took about a week to get it taken care of.

Was denied coverage due to a software issue, which is not covered in the extended plan. In the meantime, the consumer is forced to pay for another product. Absolutely unacceptable and unreasonable! I filed a claim 2 weeks ago and got scheduled with a local company to fix my washer (C&G Appliances) they have cancelled all 3 of their appointments and always by the end of the day so they have me wasting all day on my house. Now I'm on my 4th appointment for this upcoming 1st of November but I know they'll cancel again. I cannot get a hold of Allstate to file a complaint and I'm left hanging cold regarding my washer. I DON'T trust C&G Appliances and neither Allstate for not following up and honoring their insurance plan I bought through Costco.

Great experience getting my phone repaired through Allstate Protection Plan. So glad I purchased the extra protection. Also, working with CPR in Amityville was a smooth experience! Once I contacted Allstate I was given three repair shop options. They were able to repair my phone the same day, once the parts came in.

I sent my device for repair and packaged it in bubble wrap as instructed. I included my paperwork and charger on top of the bubble wrap. However, I received an email stating that my watch was not in the package I sent. I was directed to call FedEx and file a claim, which I did. FedEx confirmed that my package was delivered as expected, but my watch is still missing. I am out the money spent on the watch and the warranty. Each time I contact the repair service after receiving FedEx's statement, they keep telling me to contact FedEx. However, FedEx did not lose my watch. I did not get any of the packing material back that I sent with my watch despite having asked for it and being assured it would all be returned.
As a result, my watch might have been thrown away or stolen. If I had received my packing material back, I could have taken the watch out of the bubble wrap and sent it back, as they advised me to use less packing material. Instead, I cannot return it for repairs. This has become a frustrating cycle of communication, with FedEx stating that they received the package and that nothing should be missing. I'm exhausted from this situation, and it's clear that they do not understand that they are in possession of my merchandise while I am left without it, likely due to it being lost or stolen while in their possession.

On July 30, a “new” washer was delivered to my house. This was a replacement washer for one I had purchased from Costco 2 years earlier. I had also purchased an extended warranty through Costco with Allstate Protection Plan by Square Trade. For over 2 years my washer was serviced multiple times for the same issues and finally had to be replaced. The washer that was delivered did not work properly. I sent an email back saying it was not working just like the email from Allstate Square Trade said to do the next day, you can see the dates on the email it was delivered on July 30 and I responded on July 31. I spent hours and hours on a weekly basis dealing with rude and unprofessional employees telling me lies and giving me different information and just not wanting to help.
I was supposed to have a new washer delivered on 8/17. No delivery came and I called and was told they would be sending me an email with a new date. Nothing happened and I called again and then I’m told all different stories. Now It’s not their problem, I didn’t report it in time, it’s not under warranty, they don’t have anything to do with it, it’s the manufacturer that’s has to deal with it, it’s the store (Home Depot) so call them… one excuse after another from these employees who didn’t help and ignored my emails…I’m the customer, I purchased the plan and they didn’t deliver. The delivery on July 30 by Allstate (Square Trade) was a nonworking machine from the wrong store. I reported it on July 31. I am due what I paid for. A new, properly working washing machine, from Costco.
You can see in the emails everything I said is true. Then they lied after I filed a BBB and you can see where they now claim Home Depot is saying it was past 48 hours when it was reported, which you can clearly see in the dated emails that is untrue and say I didn't return a call, and untrue and why wouldn't you call me back? So since that I can prove that is false, why are they still not honoring the warranty I paid for?
No customer should have to go through this. This company should be ashamed that a customer was treated like this for so long. This is not how you do business or treat people. I will definitely forward this to Costco and have others do the same so they know this is a company they should not do business with and make sure it is posted in the FB groups.

Updated on 10/23/2024: I finally received the reimbursement check after months of wasted time with your chat department.
Original Review: I needed a repair to my LG refrigerator ice maker and got approval to get my own repair company to come out and fix and Allstate would reimburse me for the repair. I did so, and send all receipts to Allstate and they approved the claim and said they mailed me a check. I did not receive the check in a few weeks, so I go to online chat and they say they will stop payment and resend a new check, I will receive in about 6 business days. This has happened FOUR TIMES NOW (5 months) AND I still to this day HAVE NOT RECEIVED a check in the mail. They can’t even give me proof that a check was even printed or mailed. I guess I will have to sue in small claims court to get my reimbursement check. WHAT A SCAM! I will never buy an Allstate or Squaretrade protection scam plan again. Home Depot should be ashamed to sell a plan from this SCAM of a company.

Don’t ever buy a LG fridge. Our three and a half year old fridge with extended warranty through Allstate quit cooling and the compressor quit. We had to replace our fridge in July at our own expense as they would only send 250 to buy a mini fridge one month later. We were told by an agent a fridge was not a necessity. Now we are almost through October and have never been reimbursed for our 2100 dollars for our fridge, a poor excuse for customer service.

Repair of my phone was handled very well. Was so glad I had purchased another phone and was able to switch over and not be without a working one for almost 2 weeks. I wasn't able to set up the repair on the website. It gave me a number to call. I followed the prompts and got the same message, you are unable to schedule the repair. I finally found the option for a chat, got a live person and they gave me a new number to call. Finally got the label to send in the laptop. This is the second email asking for my opinion on the service but I still don't have the laptop.

The claim process was easy enough. But then, they lied about sending me an email with a virtual Mastercard. I'm an IT professional and know how to check spam filters. 4 devices and no mail, no spam. It was not sent. Then after about 6 more days they informed me they "ran out of gift cards" and I would need to settle for a paper check in the USPS. Well, it's been more than the 5-7 business days and I'm still waiting. Do not purchase from Allstate. I will be filing a claim with the State Insurance Commissioner for breach of contract.

Terrible service. They broke my hard drive in my desktop, then told me that they would reimburse if I can get the data recovered. Then they said no they won’t, they I spoke to another person and a supervisor and they said yes they will. No one know their procedures, I finally got my data recovered and now they said they won’t reimburse me. Never use Allstate NEVER!!

The process from start to finish was very easy. The turnaround time only took a few days. I received my claim check in approximately five days. I would highly recommend Allstate Protection Plan. Picture is not showing and keeps turning on and off and requires me to remove the plug from the wall socket. Unplugged the TV and restarted the TV and it continued to show the same problem. Called Allstate for repair and resolution. Response was very good. Reviewed warranty with me and guided me to the warranty and model and serial numbers for reference.

Using the service was a lot easier than I thought. I had a Walmart app, which I didn't know I have, and I went through that. It had all my information and I submitted the claim, which was really easy. The only part that was weird was they said they were gonna send me an email with an affidavit to sign and I never got the email. Five days or more later, I replied to the email saying I never received it and right after that, they sent it to me. That was the only thing that was not super smooth but it wasn't a big deal.
The claim was for a bike for 6-foot and up people. The rear wheel in the gears were screwed up so I filed the claim, see what would happen, and they went for a full replacement. It said that once you make your decision, you can't go back. But the replacements they offered me were smaller and I didn't wanna click on that and then end up getting something that I didn't know. I asked them about it and they emailed me back saying they couldn't find an exact replacement so they sent me a check for the purchase amount of the bicycle. It was a $300 bike and I got it on sale. The check is $122. I can put that towards another bike or maybe find one on sale again.

Allstate is outstanding. I purchased it for a Friedrich portable single unit dehumidifier. But nobody works on these things. They told me there's nobody in my area that's able to work on it and if I can find somebody, they'll reimburse me $75. But everybody in my area, within 60 miles of the national capital region, doesn't work on dehumidifiers. It requires an additional certification, which is too expensive for them to get relative to what happens. They said it's not worth it because none of the portables has a valve on it which allows them to check it to ensure whether they work on it or not.
Essentially, I buy a unit by the three-year plan and get reimbursed for it. I've told Allstate people, "I'm surprised that you cover these things because there's no way to get them repaired." They're very understanding. The last time, I did not have to send in the broken unit. I took it to the local dump, took pictures of the serial numbers and the picture of the unit at the dump. This time, they wanted it sent to them to confirm whether it was bad or not. It's a heavy unit. It's about 15 pounds. But they paid for shipping.

I got Allstate for my Turtle Beach headphones. These headphones were 60-some dollars. I did not want to spend another $60 to get headphones when I could get a warranty plan and have a replacement for free. You get the warranty, tell them exactly what happened and they will give you what best covers that item. When the right headphone piece snapped all the way off, I logged in to Allstate to file a claim. But the headphones don't have serial numbers and I couldn't find it on the box so I had to skip that part. I typed in in the paragraph box what happened and sent the claim in. Then Allstate sent me an email of three headphone options. I selected which headphone, and they emailed me saying 2 to 10 days it'll be delivered. When my Xbox controller broke, Allstate also sent me my money back to get a new one.

I have an electronic stereo amplifier and it didn't work properly. It was cutting out. I didn't think it was the amp at first. I switched speakers as well as the radio, then once I switched the amp, I realized what it was. I made calls to eBay, but it had gone beyond the point where I could return it. I texted the seller and he told me to go through the insurance. The process through Allstate very good. As a matter of fact, the lady that took care of the situation was very clear with everything that I needed to do. I did that and everything was fine. I thought it was gonna be a long, drawn out, crazy process, like sometimes these things get turned out to be, but it wasn't.
I would give credit to the lady who put the process through. She's very good at her job and she helped me out. I told her that just over a month and a half ago, I suffered a mild stroke. My thinking process is getting better now, but at the time, my thinking and speaking processes and trying to remember certain words were affected. She was very helpful, and she made it very comfortable and easy for me.

I got a protection plan for my son's PlayStation 4. I recently had to file a claim to Allstate and it was good. It was just like an online thing that you have to do to file a claim. So, everything was good. They sent us the tickets to send out the product to get it repaired. We mailed it out with no problems, and we got it repaired within five days, which I was surprised. Some places take longer, but with this one, they repaired it in five days and it was already shipped back to us. The product is working very well now. Allstate has excellent customer service. I would refer family and friends to go with them.

I got a robotic pool vacuum and I bought the plan because it was relatively inexpensive. It's a three-year and it was only like $39. The vacuum worked wonderful all summer and then the last time we went to use it, it wouldn't charge. I initially went to the company that made it, as you're supposed to because it still had that warranty, and they only supplied an email. When I contacted them, my Gmail came back and said, "Well, keep trying." But basically, the email didn't exist.
Then, I went to All State and they were excellent. I filed the claim online and I asked for a person and I got a person to live chat with. They told me to go to the manufacturer and I explained that I had already done that. They asked me to send in my copy of my receipt and they immediately got back to me to let me know that they got that. The next day, I contacted them again and all of a sudden, they sent me a mailing label to send it to Buffalo. The next day, they said it couldn't be repaired and they gave me a $329 Walmart gift card. It was very awesome and I'd tell others to not be hesitant to get it because we're very pleased.

When I filed a claim with Allstate, they said I filed the claim too early. They said I have to wait three months before a purchase for me to file a claim and it hasn't been three months. There's nothing I could do and there's nothing they could do for me at that time. It's not their fault. I wasn't aware of how long you have to have something in order to file a claim. But their prices are good.

I have a lot of electronic equipment. I have a TV in every room and three computers in every room. When my TV went out, I called Allstate all for the first time. The only thing I didn't like was, it took so long. They wanted me to take pictures and the pictures weren't good enough. Then they wanted this, and I sent that. It took forever that way. But I was happy with the outcome. They settled my claim with a new TV. Also, everybody that I had to talk to was very nice. The ones that I had to email with were also nice and they explained everything. I loved everything about it.

I bought a Whirlpool washing machine through Menards and with how things are made nowadays, it's not going to last forever. So, I put a five-year Allstate warranty on it. I filed a claim recently and Dave’s Repair Service is going to take care of it tomorrow. We got water leaking underneath the washing machine and it's in the gear drive. Probably, the gasket went bad on it.
When I submitted my claim, Allstate's website was a pain in the butt. You had to do everything online and you couldn't call anybody right away. Once I got that figured out, I made the phone call to the other company that they use and they called me back. Then they were able to work it out to send me another link which required me to upload two videos of what was going on with the washing machine. So, I had to run the washing machine and show them the noise as well as the water under the floor after a cycle. That seemed like a long process and there were too many hoops to jump through. That could be improved a little better. But other than that, at this point, I haven't had any issues and it's been a good experience.

I filed a claim for my Fitbit watch. At first, it was difficult because I couldn't figure out where to go through. I tried filing up through Fitbit. It took a while to try to figure out how to file the claim. But they finally said, "No, you can't do it through us. You gotta go through Walmart." I called Walmart, and they said, "No, here's the number, call Allstate up." I called Allstate and they took care of it right away. Their customer service was great.

I made one claim with Allstate Protection Plans, and the refrigerator only had to defrost 24 hours the first time and it fixed itself. This time, I couldn't get the ice maker to start. I couldn't get the bin out. It has been unplugged for over a week, which is not happy because I don't have a refrigerator. I went online and it logged me in, and picked my item. I only have the refrigerator there, so it was easy to pick that. I had to call in, the robocall started, and that was where it got convoluted because it was hard to figure out which ones to choose. I thought I already opened a claim, but I haven't until I got it approved when I talk to somebody human, which took me a few times to get the right combinations of codes to get a person.
I tried the text calling. It said, “Let us text you.” When I got to somebody there, they would say, “No, you've got to talk to a human.” It did multiple text calls, shot out for I don't know what reason. I got them in the middle of the night, and it wanted my feedback, and it still wanted my feedback on how my resolution was. But I don't have a resolution yet. Tomorrow, it will be seven days. Allstate told me to unplug it, and the next day, call them back.
I called them back and with all those issues. They said, “Okay. On Thursday.” I said, “Okay. The family is still gonna be on vacation, so it'll just be me.” I couldn't cook anything unless I would not have leftovers. I eat peanut butter and celery because I don't have any bread. I can't do eggs. Can't put a lot of meat in my fridge. I’m limited on my space. My backup refrigerator is only 10 cubic feet so I don't have room to put leftovers. I should have bought another full size one, but I don't have room in my kitchen for two full size refrigerators.
Allstate told me that today, there was supposed to be a service man. But the service man made the appointment, he said it would be next Monday, and the parts are supposed to be here tomorrow so I don't have much choice to wait another four days unless I wanna buy a new fridge. I have bought a smaller fridge, so I have a bit of room rather than pay another two grand for a full size refrigerator. I have a backup refrigerator and a backup freezer because of the first one in April where I had to unplug my refrigerator for two days.

It was easy to submit claims with Allstate Protection Plans online. The screen side right where it screws in to keep the laptop frame connected broke. It popped the frame open if it got dropped too much as well as the sound of a loose metal piece in the frame itself. I haven't got my computer back. So, I don't know if they fixed it right. But Allstate said they fixed it.

My grandson is autistic, which is why I bought the protection plan. Sometimes if things don't go the way he wants them to, he'll just throw something down or he'll drop it because he can't figure out how to do it. And luckily, it worked out. The customer service was very helpful. My son dropped the Nintendo Switch down the stairs one time and also when trying to pull out the kitchen counter. The first claim I had to file was for the controllers on the end and that fixed the problem. Because when he pulled it out the cabinet, one of them broke off. So I got paid for that. I've just done the second claim and I thought it was the same thing. But once we bought the new controllers and got paid back for that, that wasn't the problem. It's the whole game system. So Allstate is supposed to send me an envelope for me to send the whole game system console for them to fix it. And I haven't got that yet in the mail.

I got a Fitbit watch, Versa 4, and with my watches, it was economical to get an Allstate policy. After dropping it many times and it not holding a charge, I submitted the claim after one last drop that broke it. Allstate's claims process was beyond the best. I say this as a claims supervisor for 27 years for the Armed Forces Insurance and I was in charge of the claims process. Their process was fast and efficient. No fuss, no muss. It was something that was simple and it stayed simple. Within a week, I got contact that my claim was submitted and that it was being processed. This was on a daily basis and they also gave me my tracking number. When the replacement got delivered, there was a picture of it on my front door just like Amazon does.

The Allstate plan is really good and I like it. I bought one from Walmart for a TV and I submitted a claim when when it was not working. The voice was there, but there was no picture. Their reps were good, but it took more than two weeks to bring me another TV. They said it took that long because they didn't have the TV and they were ordering it.

I've had Allstate for my homeowner's and car insurance for many years. I also had their protection plan on my paper shredder. When the automatic part wouldn't work, I tried cleaning it out and cleaning it up as well as reversing it, but it would run all the time unless I set it off. I forgot I bought a protection plan for it and threw the shredder away in the garbage, then I said, "Well, I'm gonna give it a try. Hopefully, they won't let me take it back to the store." It was very easy to submit a claim. I did it all online and within just a few minutes, I had a full refund. It said, "Do not take it to the store. Throw it away." I'm glad that happened because I didn't have it anyway.

Allstate has been horrific. Insurance-wise, they were lovely. But with these care plans, no. They're terrible. I've lost a laptop. I've lost a printer. I've been waiting for a cellphone that I sent in for over eight weeks, and it's still not resolved. It could take weeks to get in touch with somebody. I would have to wait for hours. If I even got somebody, it would be a good day. Allstate is the worst service to the point that I'm uncertain if I would buy another plan. I generally have always bought the plans if it's something over $100, or if it's an electronic, which I'm not experienced with. Even for my $49 phone, I bought one. It has been in limbo for 10 weeks. I got a $99 card placed on my desktop of my cell phone and I thought, "They finally responded." But they only refunded one. It was a false thing that was placed on my phone. So, that didn't work.

I purchased 18 plans from this company. I have not able to log into my account any longer. I called the company. Very difficult to reach them and get ahold of someone. Got hung up on a bunch of times. I finally requested to cancel all my warranties since I cannot log into my account. Spent hours working on this and now they will not give me refunds without physical copies of all the receipts for all the companies already filed with the Better Business Bureau. I do not recommend ever doing business with this company. Super unprofessional company. I wouldn't trust them to re-warranty anything.

Claim_**. Allstate proved to me that they do anything falsely to deny a claim no matter what! I purchased my Laptop from eBay, and I decided along with this laptop to purchase a protection for my Laptop with Allstate, a few months later my Laptop all the sudden stopped working for no reasons, not by spilling any liquids or any accidents at all. So I decided to contact Allstate to repair my Laptop, they asked me to ship the Laptop to their center for repair which I did.
Several days later after receiving my Laptop they contacted me claiming my Laptop could not be covered for repair due to (Liquid Damaged).. They Emailed me 3 photos of the inside Laptop with some marks and stains on the top of battery and speaker and because of that they came quickly to this conclusion the system was liquid damaged and they can not honor the repair. I am 100% honestly acknowledging, I never exposed this Laptop to any liquid and inside of it with some marks were exactly how I purchased it from ebay. So I decided after Allstate refused to repair my Laptop, take it to a local PC repair shop and have a second opinion to find out why my Laptop all the sudden stopped working.
After their extensive troubleshooting and inspection on my Laptop, they found no evidence of liquid damage at all, Their conclusion was, this specific gaming Laptop motherboard has a very high rate of failure out of nowhere, they also told me they received numbers of the same model of Laptops in their shop for repair for the same reasons!

Nothing was done. I got in touch where I purchased the phone at and they said it's past my 90 days, they can't do anything about it. I took the phone for an estimate, would cost $$440 to fix. That's way more than when I paid for the phone. Nothing was done. I guess I'll have to live what I have with the black spot on the phone

The reason I gave a 4 is because I felt like I never talked to the same person, otherwise it would have been a 4.50 to a 5. If somehow, one person could have been handling my claims this would have been a flawless experience. I felt I was told different things, but they all were correct in different situations I was told. We have 2 Allstate Protection Plans, 1 for our electronics, and 1 for our washer and dryer. Sadly, we've had to file (ATTEMPT) to file claims on each plan. The first took over 3 weeks to get the service tech scheduled. The second was attempted today. We were told 'We will not be able to file a claim for this issue'! They refuse to send a tech to determine the cause of the issue... just flat out refused to file or help! They were more than happy to collect our plan payment though! Fortunately, we were able to cancel the plan covering our electronic products. Wish we could get our money back on both plans because they are USELESS!

I reported an issue on 9/10 about icemaker not working and freezer not cooling. Here we are a month later and still no resolution. They have changed many parts, and still no fix. Each time I call Allstate, I get different answers and no one really know what the heck to do. Never again would I purchase this protection and will tell others to stay clear.

I just got my Beats Studio earbuds back and the right ear bud was not only fixed at all, but now it completely doesn't work. It has no sound when using phone and playing music. It is not connecting. Only the left ear bud is working. Please just replace the whole set overall! This is a big inconvenience and time!

When I tried to file a claim online, it was denied. Allstate said that it was under a manufacturer warranty, which it was not. I had to take an extra step, reach out to the manufacturer and provide verification to Allstate that it was a six-month warranty and not a one-year warranty. But when I spoke to customer service, it was wonderful. The person I spoke with was Moses and he was delightful. I felt like I had made a good choice in choosing Allstate. But once the claim was filed with Moses, it was transferred to a different department to do the actual replacement of the four-wheeler. Then it was like dealing with an insurance agency. The claim was put through for an electrical failure on a 12-volt ride-on toy. I was offered the replacement brushless motor for the wheels and I was also offered replacement parts. I had to deny those as suitable options and none of the replacement options after that were equal to what I had insured.
The purchase price of the replacement that I received was $10 less than my original purchase, but the quality is 70% less and I was not satisfied with it. The replacement one operates like a 6-volt machine so it goes half the speed of the 12-volt. However, it had the novelty of having a music function which my five-year-old enjoys. I let bygones be bygones because he's enjoying it but if I have another option, I'm gonna go with that.

This is the worst company I've ever had to deal with. I've had to file a claim with them twice in the past 6 months for separate items and was disappointed both times. The first was with my son's gamer chair. One of the five Wheels on the base broke off with him sitting on the chair, and he weighs 90 lbs. When I filed a claim, I was refused and they stated they didn't cover this even though it was obviously a malfunction of the part. There is no way of contacting anybody other than a chat option on the website and that does nothing if you need to speak to any type of management or higher up. The second claim that I had to file was for my computer since it wouldn't power on all of a sudden.
I was finally able to get ahold of them and push through a claim and they told me to mailing my item and they would fix it in a timely manner. They don't know what a time like manner means apparently because it took 5 weeks before my PC was returned. Then when I opened it up I was astounded to find that my item still was unable to power on and there was now obvious damage done to my device. I contacted them to figure it out and they had me follow another claim and resend it back out. I'm currently waiting to see what happens next but and thoroughly discussed it with their services and feel that I should be compensated in some way for the damage they caused.

**★☆☆☆☆ - Do Not Waste Your Money.** We purchased a KitchenAid refrigerator for over $5500 (plus tax) less than two years ago, and opted for the extended warranty through Allstate, which is Home Depot's warranty coverage provider. Not long after, the frame around the main shelf cracked, even though it was clearly defective and not due to any misuse. Despite this, they outright refused to honor the warranty or replace the part. I am absolutely shocked that after spending over $6000 on this appliance, it's already breaking down—and worse, the warranty company won’t cover it. Extremely disappointed and frustrated!

We got an Allstate protection plan for our Keurig coffee maker. We had bought the duo system - one was the single serve and the other was the carafe. We mostly use the single serve, but when I went to use the carafe to brew a whole pot, it would only brew two cups then stop. I tried it four separate times but could not get it to brew a full pot. I had tried running the descaler through it but it would not brew a whole pot.
When I did the claim with Allstate, it was really quick. I just had to fill out questions about the item and explain what was wrong with it. And at first, they said that they might try and send a new one out. But since they didn't have one, they mailed a check for reimbursement. I told my sister that Allstate is worth it if she ever thought she might want a protection plan. On the off chance that something goes wrong, the process is easy. It only took a week and a half between the time I started my claim to the time I got the check and was able to go buy a new machine.

I bought something for a control board in an oven. It was an expensive part so I decided to get a protection plan for it. I submitted a claim for it. The process was a little trying but it worked okay. I had to contact the manufacturer, which didn't make the part anymore. They said that I had to talk to somebody there and get their name, the time I talked to them, and what their reason was for not honoring a one-year warranty. And transmitted all that information to them. They took a few days but decided that it was a claim and sent me a check.

Recently, we bought Allstate for the karaoke machine and also a gazebo for the patio. I did a claim with the gazebo, which got burned during the 4th of July. It was kind of difficult getting through to the customer service but the third time I tried it, it was good. Allstate tried to give me something to get rid of the stains but it didn't work so they refunded me the money.

We bought the AllState protection plan through Walmart for my computer and when I had a claim, the experience was really easy. They communicated when they received the computer and I had the peace of mind that they received it but they didn't communicate when they were sending it back like they said they would. It was kind of a surprise when I got online to check it and it said it would be here that day. The computer was gone for one to two weeks and it came back and it works.

I got Allstate for an office chair. For the year, it covers the chair. But if it goes past a year, it's just parts. Filing a claim has been a bit easier than it was this time around. I called the company, and they said, "Go to the store," and they gave me a gift card and said, "You trade in this chair and you can get a better one." I said, "Okay, cool." They put the cost of that chair towards either I get a replacement or I got a chair at a larger price and I pay the difference, which I did.

Crappy replacements. Had a Vizio and a replaced it with Insignia and is nowhere near as good a TV as the Vizio the 55 in Vizio that it replaced. 55 in Vizio replaced with a crappy and 55-in insignia. The quality is nowhere near the same. The features are nowhere near the same. Why do y'all have us paying these premiums and then replace our stuff with this crap? I'm really thinking about dropping this insurance because I'm not happy with this replacement now one bit. I'm still got to go out and buy a TV after all of this.

I called Allstate to send in a claim for the air conditioner and then my mother had to do the claim online. It was pretty complicated, but it worked. I'm grateful for the replacement. But Allstate needs to provide replacement models that are more comparable to the model that was purchased. Our air conditioner now is fine, but it wasn't as big and it didn't have the features that the other one had. It was definitely a huge downgrade. Instead of big push buttons, it has a little touchscreen, which is a big downfall. I'm blind. Our previous air conditioner had a remote with big buttons, which I was able to feel what I was doing. It also had some voice control capabilities and it was able to cool the house better. Then we went from this to a flat remote with buttons that I can't feel and there's no voice commands.
Our previous air conditioner is no longer sold anymore. But you still wanna find something that will do what that one did. We went from like 14,000 BTU down to 8,000. They could have done 10,000 or 12,000. There was a sale for a 14,000 one that at that time and it had the same features as our old model, just different brand, but Allstate wouldn't spring for that one. But I'm really glad that this program exists because the insides of our air conditioner blew up. We were without it in the middle of a higher 90s heat wave. Even though we didn't get what we had before, we're still grateful that we weren't having to be figuratively baked.

The customer service representative was very polite and helpful going the The steps of my claim. Had me run diagnosis test on the TV. Knowledge about the product was good. After the test he approved my claim and provided me with the next steps in the claim. I received my new television in about week.

I get Allstate when I order any type of electronics off Walmart. It's very convenient and reliable for when electronics breaks. I can either get my money back or a replacement for the item. A week ago, I submitted a claim for the Hisense TV that didn't wanna turn on anymore. I went to the Walmart site, went to my past orders, clicked my protection plan and it directed me to the Allstate website. It was simple. However, I don't think anyone has gotten back to me yet. When they settled my claim for my toddler's tablet, it took less than a week.

I did a claim for the remote control for a Playstation that was giving me some trouble. The process was easy. Allstate took it in, repaired it and sent it back to me. Since I shipped it out mid week, it took a little bit longer because of the weekend. In total, it was four days which wasn't that much. But it's still having the same issues though it's not as bad. I will contact Allstate to see if there's anything else we could do.

The gaming console controller was lagging. If we were using it to go to one direction, it would go the opposite. I did a claim online and it gave us basic details. But there was lack of information from my side. I had to go in and register stuff. It took two days for me. But if I had done what I did from day one, I probably didn't have to go through all that. After that, Allstate asked me to purchase a unit of same or less value price and that was what I did. I submitted the receipt to them and they reimbursed me in less than 24 hours. They were quick.

I purchased a protection plan from Allstate for a tablet for my kid. I like getting the protection because it saves me from spending $80 every single time. If it's okay, I get 80 back. I gotta pay $15 for it, but towards the next protection plan. But at least I'm not spending $90 in total. I went to where I bought the tab to do a claim, and then it said you can go to Protection, and then it said, “File a claim.” I used the app, and then it took me to the internet browser, and then it walked me through the steps on making my account. It was a step by step on how to file the claim. So, it was really helpful. I didn't feel lost.
They were trying to find a tablet that was similar to the one that my kid had gotten around the same price. But things inflate and things go up so they were like, “Oh, well, unfortunately, we cannot find the same exact tablet. But here is the money for the tablet.” They gave it to me as a gift card, and it popped into my email. I was able to use the redemption code and put it in my Walmart app. Then I was able to purchase one that was same brand but the same kids mode type of tablet. Overall, Allstate is very user-friendly and they got really good response time. They didn't have me waiting weeks until I finally heard back from them. It was consistent. It was one to three days that I got an answer.

When I bought the TV from Costco, they had that option to add Allstate Protection. A few weeks back when I was watching, I noticed there were a few lines on the TV. I followed the basic steps like disconnecting and connecting everything but that did not go away. I then went ahead and tried to submit a claim with Allstate. I was told that the issue is covered by the manufacturer so I reached out to Samsung. Someone came and followed the similar steps that I did. They concluded that it was an issue with the panel and they replaced it. Everything has been fine since that day.

I bought the warranty on the eBay app for my Ridstar Q20 Pro Ebike and when I made a claim, Allstate was saying that I'm still under the manufacturer warranty. Since I don't know the manufacturer's details, I didn't know who else to reach out to. I didn't get any reply for the manufacturer details. I even reached out to the seller. When I received the item, the axle had protruded or punctured a hole through the box. I told them that I wasn't sure if it was damaged or not but they told me to send pictures and I did. So, it was fine. But I asked if I can contact them again if there's any issue later on and they said yes. So, I tried doing that but they ceased any type of communication. But even though Allstate told me I have to go through the manufacturer, if I pass that one year, I still have the two-year warranty with Allstate. So, there's that backup plan.

I would recommend Allstate. I recently used them and the claim was resolved quickly. It was smooth sailing. The item that got messed up was a hoverboard. It was in stock and they asked me if I wanted to replace it with another hoverboard. But my girls outgrew it already so instead of Allstate replacing it with something else that wasn't to my liking, they mailed me a check for the item within a week. The transaction was likable. I didn't even send pictures.

My experience was ok. I thought since I purchased a product on Walmart it have the Allstate plan. It wasn't clear what it protected. So when something happened it was covered. If I known I would had got a better plan. I don't mind paying extra. It pushed me back a little. I think it should have 2 or 3 different protection plans that you can choose from at checkout.

The process was fast to get me a replacement. But the process to make the claim was a long time. It was hard to get in touch with someone. The website was difficult to use. When I got the replacement it didn't work. You can't press around the a button when using the keypad. You can't press application on the edge and camera wasn't working. I tried to make another claim. Allstate website said I could not. Screen crack had a crack. I believed it came like this.

When one of my buddies rode it and ripped it, I thought I could use Allstate and replace it but they said that wasn't possible. They only covered the motor and things of that nature. They tried but it was out of their hands.

Allstate is worth having. Electronics tend to go bad so I got Allstate to extend the warranty on them. I've had to put in two claims against the same device instead of having to purchase it again, and Allstate did not have a deductible. However, they no longer accept phone calls. Everything is done through the web which makes it a little challenging. The website is not that friendly.

I got a Yale Nest Lock and I called Allstate about a month ago about having a problem with the Nest Connect. I tried to get them to replace the Nest Connect that plugs into the wall, but they wouldn't replace that, just the lock. I said, "Hey, the lock is good. I don't need a new lock. I need a new device, the little thing that connects to the lock." I also said, "I'm not gonna send in a whole nother lock. Because then I don't have a lock on my door. It doesn't make sense."
Allstate sent me an electronic gift card to use at Sam's Club for the entire price of the lock that I paid for. All in all, the whole process was good. It was frustrating at first, but they gave me all my money back. I still got to keep my lock, and I got to replace the part I needed. I ended up buying the Nest Connect and hooking that up with the lock. It works fine now.

I had to get a new TV. It was still under warranty. I spoke with Allstate and the reps were very good. They sent me pictures of a replacement. I got to choose which one I wanted, and it was delivered here to the house. I was very satisfied. Having an extended warranty worked out for me this time. The only thing is I couldn't get the extended warranty on the new TV since it's a replacement. They wouldn't cover it again.

My air mattress stopped going up. It wasn't inflating. First, I went online with the email that Allstate sent out. Then it sent me over to try the manufacturers first. I reported to the manufacturer, and the manufacturer never said anything back. So, I went back to Allstate and let them know the manufacturer didn't say anything. Allstate's reps were awesome. They were very polite and listened very well. They made sure they handled the business. They refunded me with the E-gift card to Walmart. They used Walmart to purchase another one. If you want warranty coverage, Allstate is the best.

The Allstate policy was offered at Walmart when I purchased the television. I would highly recommend it and I'll always buy the Allstate Protection Plan with every electronics I get now. I filed a claim with them and it was super easy. I got someone on the phone very quickly and they were very helpful. They replaced the television by shipping me another one. It's a lot easier to get a replacement shipped to you and not have to worry about having to pick another one up yourself. It was very convenient.

I purchased warranties under different appliances when I bought them. I'd rather have the warranty for the extended period of time. It’s worth whatever the value of the item is. We recently had to use it for our KitchenAid refrigerator, and it paid off huge. Our refrigerator was about two years old, and the freezer part started frosting over and it was making a very loud noise. We contacted Allstate and they set up the appointment. The guy came out and thought he fixed what it was, then the whole thing shut down. They came back out and replaced another component (the computer board), and everything works great now. Allstate also told us that if it was something that was internal where it was cost prohibitive to fix, they said they'd make it right, but we never got there. Our refrigerator works like new again.

We purchased the protection at Home Depot when we purchased our KitchenAid dishwasher. Two years later our dishwasher stopped working. There was a beeping noise and it wouldn't fill with water. They sent parts and scheduled a technician. They ended up sending the wrong parts and while the tech was here she found additional problems and said that she was going to recommend that the whole thing be replaced. The seams are leaking. They won't cover anything and won't give me an explanation why. My original claim is 100% an electrical or mechanical problem. When you call them they repeat the same lines over and over. To make matters worse the company who they hired to do the work damaged our home denting 3 cabinets which they also will not fix.

Purchased Allstate/SquareTrade (AS/ST) plan for a Best Choice Products Zero-G chair, both through Target. The chair ripped at the seams where the grommets attach. The metal frame came apart at a joint, the metal bolt separated from said metal joint and the chair collapsed and is unusable. AS/ST initially said my item would not be covered because it was under warranty. It wasn't. Target had to send an email explaining as such because AS/ST refused the explanation.
After Target contacted them, they allowed me to file a claim. AS/ST contract states they cover furniture items with STANDARD use - seam separation, broken hardware, separation of joints and welds, structural defects to frames, seat or back construction, broken hinges, damaged mechanical elements - yet THEY DON'T. Sent pics and videos to support claim and told it is a NOT COVERED at every phone call.
Difficult to understand what is being said. They refuse to explain the reasoning why and tell you, point blank, they cannot stay on the phone to talk as though they are limited to a two-minute call per caller - each and every time. They even hang up on you past whatever magical time they are given! Took my $15 to cover NOTHING!!!! The protection plan is as useless as customer service because neither exists.

I purchased an E-Ride bike from Walmart, in addition I purchased the Allstate Protection Plan. After performing the suggested adjustments by their Customer Service, we filed a claim with Allstate and it was approved (#0077564843). Unfortunately, they did not have a repair shop in our area. They recommended having the repair done at a local shop and submitting the bill. After several calls, NO ONE works on these bikes! I contacted customer support several times asking for a repair location and have NOT heard back from them since.

We had a repair person come to look at our refrigerator we had bought. He had to order parts. Two weeks later we are told they will give us the money for a new refrigerator. They sent us an email saying a gift card would be sent to us in 2 days by email. We told them the email we gave them was discontinued and we received emails from the one we use now. You can talk to representatives and I have talked to at least 3 and it still does not get resolved. In Square Trade website there is no number to talk to customer service if you need escalation. You have to go through a queue and wait.... And wait.... And wait. We are still waiting. This has been a nightmare.
We have remodeled three homes with Home Depot and will complain to them. Forget trying to get ahold of anyone except offshore people who repeat the same things over and over. And to think we were thinking of changing our Home Insurance to this company??!! So if you like chatbots and people who are unable to escalate your claim when there is a problem. Do not buy!!! Can't get in touch with anyone at Allstate or Square Trade that can assist. Keep sending you through the same procedure with no results. Will try complaining to Home Depot next.

I wanted to leave a very positive 5-star review for the Square Trade/Allstate staff (two of them, the first gentleman, my apologies I forgot to write down his name, when I called in to start my broken washer appliance extended warranty claim, and the second gentleman, name Leon, who I called a week afterwards to assist me further, due to the washer still not working after the dispatched technician had came to fix it); both Square Trade/Allstate staff have been super professional, patient, cordial, courteous, prompt, highly experienced, very concise in communications, affable, easy to understand and talk to, and provided the most exceptional customer service!
Even though, unaware I was suppose to have done everything through the Square Trade/Allstate website, to make the claim process quicker and smoother, including registering my purchased Costco appliance, keeping a copy of my receipt on file with the site, as well as initiate a claim from the website itself, instead both customer service reps were so very patient and helpful and courteous did everything professionally and walked me through to process everything all over the phone and via e-mail.

They sent me some options of some units that were in stock but not compatible to what I originally purchase. It was difficult to contact someone at first but once I finally sent the information they asked me to send everything was taken care of. I had to call them at least once a day to see if they received my pictures I sent them of the problem. They finally agreed to send me another television in place of the one That needs repair.

My great grandson’s scooter stopped working and I had extended warranty on it. I contacted Allstate and they were so very nice and sent him a brand new scooter within a few days. I was very pleased. Everyone I talked to was extremely nice and helpful. I will get warranty on my purchases that need it from Allstate. Very pleased.

Email was sent to me dated september the 5th Stating that a check had been mailed out for reimbursement of $118.33 For a night stand that they no longer had in stock. So they issued a check for. I've been in contact with Squaretrade trying to get this issue resolved and they have yet to re Issue the check or locate the check that they claimed was mailed. I purchase this warranty with the tip of never having to use it but I did and when I did so the item was no longer in stock and a reimbursement check that's supposed to be issued that I never received now. No one's telling me anything of where the check may be.

The claim process was smooth and there was a scheduling mixup where the parts ordered arrived on the same day where the technician was supposed to come. Had to call up and reschedule the appointment and it was done quickly. Claim process was quick. I had to send proof and video and then it was approved quickly.

Started the claim online and then called in. They asked for proof and sent in video and pics and repair was approved. This was all done very quickly then started the nightmare!! They shipped parts and then kept the repair appointment the same day.. Guess what? Parts arrived later and the repair person said we will have to reschedule. Now called in and they asked me to contact repair person to reschedule instead of them trying to fix it. Repair person called me back and said he will reschedule and then no call back. And I am stuck now.

My TV was not delivered on the day it was suppose to. I call All-State the next day and told them my tv did not come... they informed me to contact them on Monday so I did. Then Monday I was told it would arrive on that day or Tuesday. Well nothing Tuesday so I just called again at 5:30pm and was told Best Buy would contact me about my TV and when it will be delivered. The communication with this company really sucks because why I'm I calling you, shouldn't you be contacting me by email like you did when you ordered the TV from Best Buy. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They can't give you a straight answer.

Everything was wonderful. Very fast with getting my replacement. Which was a deep fryer. No hassle at all. They did it in a timely manner. I’m very satisfied with my replacement and customer service was outstanding. I love my replacement better than the one I had at first. I will definitely be ordering again. I used my fryer yesterday for the first time. It worked perfectly. Just love it.

Problem reported on a Saturday. Call back wasn't until Monday, a day late. New TV delivery promised for 9-11. No delivery made. Stayed home all day waiting for it. No contact from anyone about delivery cancelled. Next time we would be available to receive the new TV is Tuesday, 9-17. Six days late from original delivery promise. Plus no Samsung TV's available. Had to go with a brand we know nothing about: Hisense.

Purchased a warranty on a Series X console and the only options I was given for a faulty console was to send it to a repair shop which would mean I don't have a console or access to entertainment while it's gone. Presumably a month or more. Furthermore they don't guarantee that your information stored on the hard drive will be recovered. Refused to offer a replacement or reimbursement check because the item is "too expensive".. so the more money you spend, the less likely they are to help you out. These warranties are a fraud, and this company refuses to compromise to ensure the customer is satisfied. Don't waste your money.

We bought a Samsung TV at Costco in 2021 and a 5 year Allstate Protection Plan. In September of 2024 while watching the TV it turned off and a couple of sparks fell from the bottom. It had been plugged in to a surge suppressor although no power surges occurred that day. The protection plan states that "Extended Coverage provides for parts and labor costs to repair or replace your product when it experiences a breakdown due to a mechanical or electrical failure during normal usage during the Coverage Term." We filed claim # ** online and received an email to call them to complete the claim. We called and were told the claim was denied!!! Do not buy protection from them. They will not follow the agreements they wrote. Joanne **

Idk why I keep buying these protection plans. I usually don't need them, but when I do, the claims get rejected. Every. Single. Time. It's fraud and theft at this point. I will never buy another protection plan ever again. The money I spend on protection plans I can save to just buy a new item.

Allstate Protection Plans is an easy to work with program. The craft ice maker froze over and did not produce any ice cubes. The representative was very helpful. He made the process quick. And the explanation was clear on what I needed to do. Contact-wise, it was very easy. I had to shut down the fridge for 24 hours, thaw it out completely and start over again to see if that would fix the issue. Once that didn't work, I waited a week to make sure that it wasn't working correctly or how things were going. And it started to have the same issue. So, I wouldn't consider that long. And it was very easy. The company that was contacted to come out to repair the fridge came out quickly.

I needed headphones. Allstate Protection Plans sent me an email that the item was not available on the replacement. The replacement that they sent me was coverage for the headphones so it was not good. The experience went down from that point on. After that, they agreed to refund me with a card that I could only use online. That wasn't cool. They said in the contract that the refund does not include sales tax. Somebody kept the state taxes on the purchase. Being an insurance agent, I know every contract is different, but Allstate did me a disservice.
When I went back on eBay to try to replace the headphones, I couldn't do it for the same amount of money because I gotta pay taxes. It was just a dollar. But it wouldn't allow that because anywhere I went would only take one form of payment. Allstate is forcing me to buy less. I'm not being indemnified. I'm not able to replace the item that I purchased. There's not enough money and I've never seen a claim service this bad.

When my grandson's tablet was cracked seriously, I submitted a claim in, and Allstate returned it fixed. But I had trouble getting the tablet fixed. When I bought the tablet for my grandson, I also bought one for my granddaughter. I uploaded a receipt for her tablet to have her tablet repaired. Both of them was on the same receipt. But when it came time for me to have my grandson's tablet repaired, they would not go any further until I upload a receipt. I could not use the same receipt that I had uploaded for my granddaughter's tablet. I had to go back to Walmart but Walmart couldn't find it. It was very difficult and stressful getting the receipt. I understand they want to know how much they would pay for it, but it was on the same receipt I uploaded for the first tablet that they have in the system. It took over two weeks before I could get a receipt, upload it and get his tablet fixed. That was not a pleasant experience.
I also don't like that the plan doesn't extend two years beyond the year that you got it so you're losing a year with the plan. I bought a Gateway laptop. I sent it in in the second year of the plan. On the second year of me having the laptop, my plan was no longer available. You don't get one year with the manufacturer. You only get the two years with the extended warranty. But I chose to get the warranty for my grandson's tablet because he's a young boy, and he uses his tablet every day. Something more than just the regular warranty would need to be on the tablet for him.

I got Allstate on the Otterbox power bank. The plan was only $5, and I figured it'd be a good plan to have. I used it when the power bank stopped working correctly. It stopped taking a full charge and would only take one charge instead of multiples, but when I first started using it, it would give me multiple charges. The claims process was difficult. When I went to a place to go file it, at first, they kept telling me that they needed a copy of the receipt. I went to my Target app ‘cause that was where I purchased it. I screenshot the receipt and forwarded it. They kept telling me that they couldn't see it. I had to try to download it.
I paid about $54 for the port. They were offering me a port that was below $10 on Amazon that they said they replaced it with. That was unacceptable because I purchased the protection plan. I should get full compensation for the item. It took me four days of trying to speak with upper management. Eventually, when I got to the supervisor, he was able to send me a check for a replacement of the item. It was $49.49 because there was no tax. It's very valuable having the plan if you're able to do what I did and go through the red tape to get what they offer.

I recently used SquareTrade for a Samsung TV I purchased from Costco. It started messing up a ton, so we sent pictures and videos to SquareTrade. They had a technician come and he said the panel was shot. He said that they got to send me a new one. It was a great experience in terms of speed and I was surprised that SquareTrade would just replace it. That was an amazing service. Costco offered the SquareTrade warranty included in the purchase of the TV and at the time, it was $100, but they would give back a rebate of $100. That was the only reason why I did it, but after this experience, I'm considering doing it also for some of my other electronics just in case. The process was so seamless. I also recommended SquareTrade to a friend who was considering purchasing a TV at Costco and someplace else. And because Costco included the coverage, they decided to purchase their TV at Costco.

We have an HP touchscreen laptop, and my daughter had it in the laptop portion of her backpack, but because she had too many school books in there, the part of the screen that's responsible for picking up touches stopped working properly. It was registering someone touching the screen in a certain spot constantly. I tried to submit a claim online, but the whole method of doing it on the web wouldn't work. It was saying that it couldn't find the plan. So I had to call Allstate in order to get it going, and then they said that they added the plan on, that it existed, and then it started the claim on it. It was easy to get it going, but I would have preferred it working on the web when I first tried to do it. However, calling them was only a minor inconvenience, and they were able to get it going quickly. The whole process of sending the laptop in and getting it back was within a few days. It was quick.

Sent my kid's PlayStation 5 in for repairs. Due to it shutting off randomly and no display. I received an email several days later that the unit was full of insects. And no repair will be done and the warranty was now voided. I used my Home Plus plan I have through my cell provider and took it to a local Asurion location. In two days they told me what was wrong being dust and a bad HDMI port and it will be repaired in a few days. I asked if there was any insects inside of it. They said, "no insects were found at all". I knew Squaretrade was lying to me and I'm glad I had another option to get it fixed and find out the truth. I will never ever, ever, ever purchase another Squaretrade warranty again.

Square trade protection is not worth the price. Filed a claim starting the on June 3rd and was approved June 7th. That’s great. Very happy with that. Received an email on June 5th saying that my “parts” were ordered for my couch that day. It has been 14 weeks now and I have not received any updates, no tracking, nothing and called them to find out what was going on. They have no information on it and will get back to me once they do. After the “parts” get here I then have to wait another undetermined amount of time for a technician to come and install said parts. In the meantime this is preventing me from filing another claim for a different piece of furniture. I’m worried that the protection will expire prior to being able to file that claim. Then while the reps are sympathetic they are unhelpful and the only information I will receive will be via email.

I had a good experience with Allstate. They were quick and reliable. My daughter's Beats headphones were accidentally stepped on, and the head piece needed to be fixed. It was simple to submit the claim online, and the head piece is now fixed. Having an extended warranty is very important, especially when people have teenagers.

Allstate was fantastic. My Fitbit watch broke, so I filed a claim and it was simple. I was also totally surprised how fast it was taken care of and fixed. I had one problem and sent the watch in. It got back, and it didn't last a week then it broke again. I sent it back and they just gave me a new watch. I'm very happy with the system. The price of the extended warranty is very competitive, and having one is very valuable, unless people wanna spend an extra $150 on something they don't need to.

All the buttons on my Fitbit stopped working. So, any time I wanted to check my watch, I had to raise my arm up to check it. But eventually, it got to the point where it didn't even come on when I raised my arm and the screen was totally nonresponsive. I made a claim with Allstate and it was pretty easy. I just filled out the information online and submitted it. Then they told me it was covered and sent me a new watch. This protection plan works.

I did the claim online, then I spoke with someone about an update 'cause I thought they were mailing the TV to me. When I called, they said Best Buy had to deliver it. When my TV stopped working, I did part of the claim process online, and then there was a phone call made after I did it online. Allstate said, "Call the 800 number," and I spoke to somebody. The reps were super friendly. My TV was not repairable from the troubleshooting that we did, so they offered to replace it with something of equal value. However, the model they kept trying to replace my TV with wasn't an equal or greater value than what I had before, and the TVs did not have some of the software like in the TV that I had. For example, my TV had the Comcast built-in app, and the TVs that they were trying to replace with did not.
I kept going back and forth with Allstate, saying, “This TV, quality-wise, it looks like all the elements are there, but it still doesn't support Xfinity.” It took a bit of saying no to Allstate multiple times, and after three attempts trying to find the right TV, they ended up giving me a check back and I purchased a new TV from Costco again. Working through Allstate was no problem at all.

Allstate Protection Plans was great about answering my questions. I felt like I bossed people around. I’ve never done that before. It was awkward. But they were polite, so they made it a lot easier. And they let me know that it would still be okay to call them back if the manufacturer denied my claim. That made me feel a lot better. I'll tell other people, “You should get insurance. It was okay.”
