World Education Services completely derailed an entire academic year for me and showed zero accountability. I submitted my application in good faith, paid all required fees, and uploaded documentation for four degrees. When one institution was unable to provide documents in time, I promptly contacted WES and explicitly asked for that degree to be removed so the rest of my evaluation could proceed. This was a simple administrative request. WES failed to act on it. Because of their inaction and delays, my evaluation was not completed in time. As a direct consequence, all three universities I applied to closed their application windows. I lost an entire year of applications, all the university application fees, and the WES fees themselves. I received absolutely no benefit from the service I paid for.

I have to say that WES is "cheaper" than other companies. Website is easy to use, and I guess if you don't have to make changes everything might be very smooth. Otherwise, like in my case, you won't find any option for modifications in your account, and customer service is completely useless, so the only way of fixing issues is paying more.

My experience with WES has been extremely frustrating and disappointing due to unnecessary delays, poor communication, and an outdated verification process. Even after my documents were successfully delivered by FedEx, it took more than 15 days for WES to update their portal and acknowledge receipt. During this period, the courier tracking clearly showed “Delivered,” yet when I contacted WES customer care, their executives repeatedly said they had not received the documents. This contradiction caused immense stress and uncertainty.

The instructions from WES are clear and to the point, and the evaluation process is quite transparent. The registrar of Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, preferred me to send my official transcript through courier service instead of the secure e mail system per the requirement of WES.

The service was fast and initially satisfactory, but the customer service is very poor. They do not actually help resolve issues and repeatedly direct you back to their website. Additionally, the cost to upgrade or improve a previous service is unreasonably high.

My evaluation was concluded in less than a week. The only delay in the process was the time it took my institution to forward my transcript to WES. Once this was done (after 3 months), I expected another month for the evaluation to be done as per the timeline. Imagine my surprise to receive it in just a few days.

I can't believe that College and Universities rely on this "service". They are so unorganized and unprofessional. They are not at all clear up front of what you need to submit in order to have an efficient and successful submission and evaluation. They keep moving the goal posts, so that multiple submissions are required. We've submitted the paperwork for evaluation 4 times and each time they asked for something different to be included. No wonder people complain about their response times. They don't have clear standards and bog themselves down with all the resubmissions.

I don't know where to start. I created my account on September 19. I sent my documents on Oct 5. They received it on Oct 19. As I am writing the review on Dec 10 I still didn't receive the evaluation back. Every time I call them they tell me it is still processing. All agents are Indians with very heavy accent. When I ask for a supervisor they tell me there is no supervisors. Forget the part where I asked for an extra copy of the evaluation to go to the college and they kept telling me that I can do it online while the button they are talking about doesn't exist. Now I paid 221 dollars and no evaluation and no one can answer my questions or refund me the money.

Every time I called, I was told “next week” or “20 more days,” yet I have now been waiting more than five weeks for a simple degree evaluation. Hi. I wanted to file a complaint as this organization asking for good amount of money to do your work but as I paid so much amount money to send my document they did not receive yet and second time I reorder a copy and they are extra money for that. I paid that which is not worth. It’s for next day delivery but it’s almost a week they did not give me a tracking number. I keep calling. Their customer service is really bad. Instead of giving me tracking number they keep saying tech issue from last 5 days. They don’t understand why the customer needed in urgent basis. They just sit there keep saying same thing every day.

I have a Doctorate of Nursing practice from an accredited Uni in the United States. After submitting it to WES for IRCC purposes, I received the assessment of "completion of advanced study and training in nursing" - which isn't even a degree, and is useless for even starting an IRCC application. I have now read of several other people with the same degree who have gone on to have it assessed at CES with recognition of the degree. Unfortunately, I've now wasted several hundred dollars as well as several weeks waiting for the evaluation from WES and will need to start over with CES. WES should provide something relevant to the IRCC categories if they are going to assess degrees for that purpose.

This whole experience has been awful from start to finish. Customer Service is a waste of time, as they just repeat whatever their script says. I have been waiting over a month, and the documents haven't even been evaluated yet. I've had enough. I can't get through to any kind of manager or find out what is taking so long. I've been told it can take up to 8 weeks. Go to another company. Don't use WES, it's a waste of time and money. Shocking.

I’ve contacted their customer service more than 10 times, and every single time they tell me “our team is working on it.” I honestly don’t understand what they are working on, because it has been over 2–3 months and there’s still no resolution. Out of desperation, I had to order a duplicate report with overnight delivery since I urgently need it. But at this point, I have no idea if that one will even arrive. I’ve already spent over $300, and they’re not offering any refund or clear response. Please don’t waste your money or trust these people. They are completely irresponsible and unprofessional. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating — they take your money but don’t deliver what they promise.

When I call customer service, it's always the same lady Who answer. When I talk to her, I never be satisfied. When I ask her to transfer me to her supervisor, she tells me that her supervisors are busy. She always recommend me to create a ticket. If I create a ticket, they keep asking me the same question. It looks like they don't even read tickets. I am very confused now. This is for a job application. I don't know what to do. I am trying to be more patient. Maybe I will get my evaluation soon it possible. Maybe I did not make a mistake choosing WES over globe evaluation.

I was a bit worried at first that the evaluation report would not be ready within the 180 days given by WES to complete the evaluation after payment. This worry was because it took a while for me to make necessary payments to have my institution send my transcript to WES. However, upon receipt of the document, WES completed all verifications and the evaluation in about two weeks. I'm genuinely pleased, grateful and relieved. Highly recommend!

I don't know who everyone is talking to in customer service to say it's good, but I assure you that every time I called, I was repeated the same rehearsed line by someone who couldn't help me at all. They didn't respect their evaluation deadlines, making my applications to university invalid. They refuse to help me through this stressful process. I'm now left with invalid applications to med school, and still uncompleted evaluations. I wouldn't be surprised if they wrote the other 5-star reviews themselves because it's impossible for them to be this well-rated.

I am incredibly satisfied with WES services and processes. I took just three days to complete my University degree evaluation after my former university mailed my transcript to them. The processes too was seamless and less complicated.

I am deeply disappointed to share this negative experience with their customer service and system reliability. Six weeks ago, I needed to order an additional copy of my WES evaluation reports and discovered that my BA and MA evaluations had disappeared from my WES account dashboard. These reports, which I had paid for and previously accessed without issue, were no longer available despite WES's own cover letter explicitly stating that "the report and transcripts are stored at WES" and that I can "place future orders at any time" (attached pic). This promise of permanent storage was clearly NOT honored.

I think WES is the best out there so far. ECE I don’t recommend it. But you can try. Just provide whatever is needed, it takes time to be evaluated for good results I believe. I also did upload my resume just to give them a glimpse of what I actually do now.

I was searching for a service to have my education in the Philippines evaluated and WES was referred to me by a friend as I was having trouble understanding the other service that I was about to use. This doesn't look transparent and it doesn't inform fully and accurately about my educational background to my potential employers. I am in the process of inquiring about this discrepancy. Hopefully, they will get back to me with professional and satisfactory responses. If this were a mistake and acknowledged, I'd rate the service highly.

I have been struggling with customer service at WES to get them to find and start processing my documents. There have been multiple levels of failure. WES's systems are configured to only accept documents from my university (in Canada) via a mechanism that the university does not support. My University has been communicating this to them for about three months with no response. Customer service links on the WES website have been broken. Phone customer service just sends you back to the website to enter a support request via the broken link. Document tracking forms on the website say my documents were not delivered when I have confirmation from the courier that they were. When I finally get a support request submitted the first line of the confirmation message was "Due to unusually high volumes of customer requests, wait times for responses are longer than usual". Wish I had chosen to go with another provider.

A Highly Disappointing and Frustrating Experience with WES. I am writing this review to express my profound dissatisfaction with the services provided by WES. The entire process has been a series of failures, delays, and extremely poor customer service.

I was told yet again, by yet another representative over the phone, to put in yet another ticket in regards to YOUR company rejecting the documents before even opening them, and them getting lost in the mail. I have absolutely NO COPY TO SEND. The ORIGINAL was sent the first time when your company denied it. I have NO way to give you this information but the scanned in documentations I have already done over two weeks ago.

Worse experience ever. Biggest SCAM! My University sent my documents 3 times directly to WES, they kept denying them arguing a stamp was missing, spent around 800€ in issuing and shipping fees and WES kept rejecting the documents. They said they sent copies to my University to confirm the info was correct, this was a huge Lie! They made me wait for around 3 months and then suspended my application due to "waiting time too long". I contacted my University and they said WES never contacted them at all (WES said they did it twice) so I had to pay again a new fee to WES so they can activate my application again. Then my University sent the documents for the 3rd time physically, and finally, after almost 1 year waiting for my results to come, was when I finally got my report.

I submitted my application to WES and completed all requirements by May 2024. As of today, July 23, 2025, I still have not received my credential evaluation report. Despite numerous follow-ups, the report remains pending delivery. This long delay has caused me to miss several academic and professional opportunities throughout 2025. I truly hope WES will resolve this and send the report in the coming days. If anyone else has experienced a similar delay, I would appreciate your advice on what steps I should take next.

I have had an excellent experience with WES. I ordered the evaluation of two degrees, with course-by-course evaluation. Even though the customer service over the phone was not very good (someone who did not speak English well), over email, the customer service was awesome. The reports were thorough and nicely composed. The GPA was fairly computed. It took five days w/o any rush fee. The uploading process and clarifications prior to my order via email were fantastic. Their evaluation process is up to date and there are NO hidden fees. You can send the reports to the institutions you want directly. In particular, an evaluation specialist, whose name is Stas, was extremely professional and helpful. I have no doubt I will use their services again.

This is the worst please ever and just a SCAM and stressful company ever. I missed 2 semesters. I have been applying since March to get my transcript. Of course they ask me to send them my documents. I sent it to them and after 6 weeks from the arrival date they denied it because the envelope was missing a stamp. Then I re-sent it to them, and it arrived with them on 5/26, On 7/4 they denied it again, and the reason is the not an institutional envelope and the envelope was not stamped or signed across the back flap by an appropriate official and therefore was not accepted and this is not true because my envelope is signed across and sealed and when I am given up and asking to cancel the Application they said there no refund because it is too late and there is no refund for you. They just scam to take your money. By the way, I have a picture of the envelope they decided and said there no sealed and no signed across.

I have a very poor experience with WES evaluation. I am physician, working in industry for 17 years. My MD and PhD Diplomas were issued in Russia. There is no direct DHL connection between Russia and other countries. It was very challenging to get transcripts from my home University. Transcripts were obtained eventually with a 3 people help, closed envelope was traveling throughout 3 countries. It was delivered to WES on May 5th. Today, on July 16, WES informed that transcripts are not available and I have to complete this exercise again!!!! I believe they simply lost them during these 2+ months. I am really disappointed and sad. Support doesn’t work well in this company, evaluation department is not reachable. I do not recommend this company.

The worst experience ever, both university and I submitted my documents to them. Both times after 2 weeks I would get the update that my documents are incomplete even after the university submitted the documents I called customer service and they comforted me that they received the documents. Talking about customer services was completely unhelpful and when I tried to cancel my evaluation and get the refund they did try to explain that the cancellation fee is also included. After all highly DO NOT recommend WES if you are looking for evaluation of your documents and wants to continue your education

If I could leave zero star, I would. They partnered with a third party called Qualification Check, and both of them took my money for a program that was supposed accelerate the processing time for my academic transcripts. Instead they kept gaslighting me, saying I haven’t given them the proper documentation, even though not only can I verify on their website I did, but I also had tracking numbers for the physical transcripts my school directly mailed them.

It's very frustrating the way WES is operating. Via web we order, we pay but we don’t get actual delivery. We call the WES phone, agents kind of telemarketers, they say different histories, they send you to write a ticket, I wrote already 3 tickets but WES don’t answer not even via e-mail. As a careless shield only generic answer but not specific or actual solutions from WES.

My documents are in their mailroom since May of this year. I was asked to submit a support ticket giving the tracking # so that they could match the documents to my account. I have been following up every week without any progress. Worst part is there are no supervisors to speak with and the agent I spoke with today "Billy" said there are no Supervisors to speak with and no other phone numbers to reach the required team. I just wait until they get to it, even if it means I miss my course enrollment deadline and WES puts my account on hold, yet again. Seriously regretting opting to go with this company.

Trying to get documents reviewed with them is a nightmare, will take forever. They made the process very difficult knowing some school doesn't have everything electronically and even if the school sign up for that, they won't answer. I'm stuck because of this, then after multiple tickets someone had the audacity to tell me some schools don't required high school transcript, like if I'm requesting them for fun. They have a ridiculous customer service, they do nothing to help.

I attended both high school and college in the Roman Catholic educational system in the Province of CEBU in the Philippines. I was married in the United States, and as my credentials from the Philippines are not recognized here, I wanted to return to college to become an RN (and eventually an NP). Once I went back to the Philippines to get verified copies of documents from the registrar, and then sent them by DHL to my husband, who forwarded them by a different messenger company to the credential office for WES, it took them only 15 days after they received the documents to complete the analysis and send official documents to the college I will go to in the fall. In those regards, they are very good.

Frustrated with WES support. I have a very bad experience with WES about my Order, status says completed, but it was not picked up by USPS even after 18 days. I called WES support number multiple times, still USPS tracking number status shows as 'Pre-Shipment, USPS Awaiting Item'. Paid additional charges for express delivery, now it has been 18 days, still USPS did not collect the package. I am calling WES support team/ filling contact form daily for 15 days. I am getting the same response from the support team (I have shared this with my team/ escalated to my lead), zero accountability from their side. Save yourself the frustration and look for other credential evaluation services. WES does not value their customers. Terrible experience.... Would not recommend!

I placed an order for my document evaluation in 2024. I paid for the service and followed all the instructions given on the website. If there’s 0 for an option, I will give WES 0. I updated my service on May 7th 2025, and ordered 3 copies and they offered free shipping, then I never ever received my evaluation package, because I really needed and ordered one more on May 20th and paid over $13 for UPS Ground. It ended the same day, it never arrived. And I have UPS and USPS account with them, if they ever shipped I will get notified but they never did, I called many times and the customer service basically said nothing they can do, only asked me to file a ticket on their website and then I had created over 10 tickets and they asked me to verify my address, I did, then they never responded anymore. I have never see any service like that. This is a big company and what they did is exactly scamming people.

After 2 months they finished my evaluation. It was supposedly sent 10 days ago but as today I don't have the tracking number. After 7 calls they don't know where my report is or how they are going to solve it.

Every time, I had to spend money to get my school to resend the documents, and each time, my school confirmed that they had responded.

One of the worst if not the worst. Slow, unprofessional customer service. Report was supposed to be sent ten days ago, a glitch in the system they did not know about! Called 5 days later to find out it hasn't been shipped! I paid again for faster delivery as I need this report ASAP, showed as shipped!! 4 days later found out it hasn't been shipped! But they said the label was created! And they were so confident about the label creation as if it's a kind of achievement! The supervisor said there is nothing I can help you with, you can submit a ticket! This is the only thing they know about, and by the way it takes them weeks to respond to a single ticket. Stay away from them if you can.

I am truly happy with WES, the time for the assessment was great. The method used is very efficient and confidential. I am now able to say I trust and will recommend their services to my friends and family. I can now move forward and achieve my dream.

So dissatisfied of their delivery time frame and customer service is so rude. Ordered duplicate of my evaluation report and opted for 3-5 days delivery but after 6 days I called to find out were my documents are because I had not yet received them and was given a USPS Tracking number that has no updates on the USPS website implying a shipping label has been fixed on the documents but the documents have not yet reached USPS office for it to be shipped out. After tracking the package and noticed no updates on the USPS website, I called customer service and the agent`s repose when I asked what I can do to facilitate the delivery process responded "You just have to wait until whenever we resolve the issue" and immediately hung up on me while I was still talking looking for any possibility to get my package the fastest way possible. I think this is so rude and unacceptable attitude of a customer service staff.

Assessment was done with ease with Qualification check and it was completed with 20 days. In future, if it is possible to reduce the price consider it. Other than price, everything else went smooth and customer service was also good.

There is no transparency in their process, and getting a response from their customer service is nearly impossible. To make things worse, WES charges a ridiculous cancellation fee even when you cancel within a reasonable time. They take your money for no valid reason, offering no flexibility or understanding. It feels like a scam paying for a service you no longer need, with zero accountability from their side. Save yourself the frustration and look for other credential evaluation services. WES does not value their customers and only seems interested in taking your money without providing proper support. Terrible experience....would not recommend!

I must confess that I am disappointed in WES services. This will be my second evaluation with WES. The first evaluation was with WES Canada and it was okay. But this time WES US is costing me my admission due to their delay in processing and evaluating my documents. It took them about 3 weeks to transfer my evaluated transcript from my WES Canadian account to my WES US account after I logged several complaints. My college had to suggest an alternative vendor to get the evaluation done promptly, as I have just 5 days before the school's registration ends. This is not fair. I have had to make another payment to an alternative vendor all because of a 2-month-plus delay caused by WES. This is unprofessional.

Unfortunately, due to their connections and lack of alternatives, consumers are left without real choice. It's a deeply frustrating experience that feels more like a monopoly than a service.

Nowhere did it clearly state that using the Qualification Check service eliminates the need to send academic documents in a sealed envelope. As a result, I spent CAD 120 to ship my diploma from Brazil, only to later find out it was unnecessary.

I used WES to have my MD credential from Romania evaluated as a professional credential in the US. My experience could not have been better. I used Qualification Check as well. The process was smooth. I was informed of the status of my request every step of the way. I did not have to use Customer Service at all. The entire process exceeded my expectations. Feels like a scam. 300$ for a electronic copy of my documents, and my diplomas are all in English too, so I find it ridiculous that any university would rely on such a service. After making students (??!!) pay this amount, they still require you to do manual work and request you coordinate with your own institution to send the documents to them. Uhm, what do I pay you for if you make me do all the work? Ridiculous, avoid if possible.

I applied for my credential evaluation of my degree and master's obtained from the Indian Universities. WES has its own online verification portal (nsdcsupport) for the verification of the certificates form the Indian colleges. I paid for both WES and for NSDC. The date of completing the assignment were assured on March 7, 2025. Unfortunately yet (April 27, 2025) I didn't get any updates from these organization regarding the verification and evaluation. Only they register the case and issue the ticket numbers but no action is done. I am highly frustrated and no idea how to fix this issue.

The process to validate academic processes takes much longer than stated on their page. After contacting WES via their online chat I got a generic answer "... I understand your urgency regarding the evaluation process. Please rest assured that our team is working diligently on your concern. Kindly wait for the next update..." Don't go with WES if your academic documents validated. It takes way too long. >2months.
