Sign up for 2 week class. Ending up 6 months class. Reason being tutor does not show up without any notification. They are ripping off people. I would say it's a SCAM. Be careful! Thank God, I didn't pay $3000 for private tutoring.

It is highly recommendable. They have numerous classes you may want to attend to. The classes are very helpful and engaging. Also, they have certain professionals for each subject. Overall, I really love this and hope to see you enrolling here.

I have requested a refund for almost ten days. I bought about $950 for 12 hours and took one session, and have left the remaining sessions of 10 hours. According to their contract, students can request a refund after we have taken the first session. After taking the first session, I considered it too expensive and thus no longer wanted to continue the sessions. Now it's been the tenth day I asked for the refund; they said the consultant would call me. However, I didn't manage to receive the call. Instead, I called customer service ten times in a couple of days. Unfortunately, this company's customer service voice says all employees aren't currently unavailable to keep up the call. The time I called is all within 9 AM-6 PM EST. I found the customer service is fake, which I have dialed ten times, but these calls from me were unanswered. I can only wait for now for them to return my unused sessions. I hope I can get my money back eventually.

My son’s math tutor, Momeena **, was immensely helpful in boosting my son’s SAT math score. We had only three weeks to prepare him for the SAT, and within this time period, Momeena helped him raise his score 100 points, o pared to his previous score score. Momeena is always positive, patient and has a very calming manner about her, helping my son to focus on his task and perform well. Thank you!

I have been with Varsity Tutors for about 3 years. I started my son with Varsity because he was struggling with phonetic sounds which was hindering his ability to read. My son is now reading. They have amazing tutors who actually help students with confidence along with learning the core subjects. Not only does my son use it, but my daughter also gets help in math. When she first began she struggled with Algebra but her grades have improved. She always expresses how much she appreciates her tutor. He is patient and takes time to explain things that she does not understand. Varsity Tutors has been a great experience for both of my children and I highly recommend anyone who has children or taking a class seek help through these tutors. They are professional and very knowledgeable.

Our son is having a great experience with his tutor at Varsity Tutors. He was needing some encouragement and support in a couple challenging subjects. Grades have improved! As a parent, Varsity has proven to be a great asset. From the first phone call purchasing hours, interaction with the tutor, and then each session things have gone smoothly with professionalism. We are so thankful for Varsity Tutors and their free virtual classes. We have done more than I can count over the course of the pandemic and have loved them all. My son is the student receiving the tutoring sessions. Sign-up was easy and the company was great about contacting me and getting the ball rolling. My son seems pretty happy about his sessions, although he still expresses difficulty with the subject matter.

I wanted a safe way for my children to learn and Varsity Tutors has done just that. Customer Service and each tutor my children has had are amazing. This makes me feel comfortable asking questions and working with the tutors.

My tutor has been exceptionally patient and kind. If I’m stuck she works me through the problem and she celebrates when I succeed, even the small successes. I have to do the work but I look forward to it because I know I have the support when in a session with her and even when I am not. I wouldn’t be able to do as much as I am without her wealth of knowledge and approaches.

My daughter just started with Varsity Tutors last month. She was failing Geometry and we were in desperate need of some help. The friendly staff were able to match us up with a tutor in a couple days and after four sessions, my daughter has re-taken some quizzes for and brought her grade up from an E to a high C! Her last re-take, she scored 100% on!! I’m beyond excited for her and couldn’t be more pleased with the help she has received from her tutor. My son and I have attended two different classes via Varsity Tutors with Andy **. We absolutely love him as he is our favorite wildlife cinematographer and to have the chance to learn from him for free while spending quality time with my kid is amazing!

My second grader has been struggling with reading, which was causing him to draw back from wanting to read. I was able to find Varsity Tutors and from the start my experience on the phone with the specialist was amazing. She understood my concern and guided me on what plan would work best for my son. He is now on his 4th session with Ms. Holly and he is always excited and looking forward to his session. He is eager to learn new words and wanting to read again. I first found Varsity Tutors when I was looking for a German tutor for my son. He was taking German his Freshman year of college after never taking a single German class and struggling. After the first few meetings with his tutor, his grade improved significantly. He has been fortunate enough to have two different German tutors, both who have been professional, friendly, patient, and AMAZING (Elsie and Norbert). Both have given my son so much confidence in his German class that his professor recommended that he minor in German (and he is)! I also feel that Varsity Tutors cares about my son's progress. Not only does the tutor send notes after each meeting, but the local office is always checking in, making sure we are happy with their services and with our tutor. I cannot say enough about Varsity Tutors. I only wish I had known about them sooner!

We would not be where we are right now if it was not for Varsity Tutors. The incredible tutors they provided in the subjects I mentioned helped my daughter achieve her high grades and the passing of her AP Exams in her Junior year. Without Varsity Tutors her grades would not have been as good as they are. We are thankful for Varsity Tutors and they are committed to excellence!

I checked out several tutoring options for my son for AP Calc AB. While Varsity Tutors was the most expensive, they also had the most comprehensive program. We are only 3 tutoring sessions in but my son is happy with his tutor and more comfortable with the material now.

Great experience from the beginning. I went on their site and requested a call back for additional information. The representative that called me was very professional and asked lots of good questions to help identify my daughter's needs. My daughter was matched with the sweetest most patient tutor. She is enjoying her Math tutoring and is progressing nicely. Their platform is very user friendly and convenient. Tutoring sessions are recorded so your child can go back and review the material if needed. Highly recommend!

Justin ** was a great instructor. My child and I had a great time learning from the session. It was entertaining and engaging. The time went by so quickly I didn’t notice it had overrun by 100% the allocated time. For future sessions on magic, perhaps more time could be allocated. There’s so much fun ground to cover.

Coyote Peterson was amazing, fun, and very engaging. My 8 year old and even my 5 year old had so much fun and loved his class. In fact they both want to sign up to his small group class. They already watch him on YouTube Brave Wilderness and they love that series, but they were a lot more excited to be able to see him live. That is why they want to sign up to his small group class because they want to interact with him and be able to speak and participate live.

I am an adult who has attended a few classes of interest. I will say that I have been pleasantly surprised with the information provided and with the presentation of the information. The classes have been short enough that I can take an extended lunch, from work, to attend. I would highly recommend any class that you find interesting.

This is our third class with Coyote Peterson and my daughter loves these classes. She's 8 years old and homeschooled in 3rd grade. She loves learning about Science and I'm always keeping an eye on the classes available for ones she would like. This is a great program.

If I could rate 0 stars, I would. This company scammed me. I reached out for tutoring for a very niche topic, a professional designation exam, their website indicated that they have that specialization. After thinking about the cost for a week, I decided to proceed with their 12 hour program (more than $100/hour!). This program comes with a pass guarantee, a tutor guarantee, and a small discount on the hourly rate. It seemed the most secure and best option. I was paired with a tutor, we had our first session (which couldn't be less than 2 hours), and he did not give me his undivided attention. He was on his phone, typing emails on his laptop, offered no guidance on questions I was asking, told me to "just guess and then check the answer". This was not worth $100+ an hour.

VT classes have become the best extracurricular activities for my daughter. She finds a topic that is interesting and she gets to not only learn more about that subject, but she gets to do it with her peers that are scattered throughout the country and sometimes even the world. The best instructors tailor the classes to the students enrolled with flexible topics and pacing that keep the kids engaged. With the variety of instructors and topics, you can find the "perfect fit" for your situation. The StarCourses are engaging for the whole family. What started as a way to break up the monotony of Covid restrictions has become a part of my family's routine.

My 7 year old son Jack LOVED Abby's presentation. She was easy to understand for kids of multiple ages, kept their attention and made it fun with games and questions. I listened along with him, and found it quite interesting as well! It was funny how many questions I got wrong. :) So yes, we would recommend Varsity and the VT+ membership!

I enrolled my son mid year because I felt he was not learning enough in his public school online classes. He was having emotional tantrums daily. I decided to home school and enroll him in Varsity Tutors. I loved it so much we decided to re-enroll again now for 2021 school year. He is learning more than ever, the best part is he is no longer having emotional tantrums. The teachers are great with the kids, they do an amazing job keeping them interactive. The class sizes are small so they give attention to all the children. I would highly recommend varsity tutors.

Little Steven was informative and personal, as he explained the significance of The Beatles, not only to pop-culture, but also his own life. Along with the lesson, Little Steven also provided video clips, which emphasized points in his presentation. I also attended 2 in-person workshops for teachers, and they were very creative and interesting and well worth the time. Thank you, Little Steven for your commitment and enthusiasm!

When attending a lecture, I enjoy professors with real life experience in the field. No one can doubt Stevie's credentials with the E Street band, nor his commitment to rock and roll early in life. The student interaction was excellent and persistent. All of the course interactive exercises were relevant and helped to explain how the Beatles molded rock and roll and Stevie's attitude toward it.

We really recommend Diana **, she is a great tutor, gave clear explanation to Mariana (rising 6th grade student), review her math skills and guide her for improving her ability to resolve math operations.

Varsity Tutors is a great way to get help with difficult courses. I took an online Calculus II class which was challenging. Having a tutor greatly improved my learning and my grade, especially since the nature of the online course meant I was unable to easily work through questions with the professor. The platform Varsity Tutors uses is excellent, allowing both the tutor and the student to see each other, write on a shared virtual whiteboard, and upload documents. The tutoring session notes are then saved for the student to reference later, as needed. I highly recommend Varsity Tutors for anyone struggling with a difficult course. I also strongly recommend tutor Don ** if you are taking math and science courses.

I had a fantastic experience! I took the Master Trivia with a Champion course, taught by Ken Jennings. It was extremely interactive and fully engaging, and Ken was just awesome! He had terrific information to share and he was so good natured and pleasant!

Our 10 year old daughter the Master Trivia with a Champion by the one and only Ken Jennings! She's already a Jeopardy fan and was in awe hearing all the great tips. Her favorite tip was "practice the way you want to perform." she truly enjoyed and actually took notes!

Our 9 year old has been participating in Varsity Tutors classes for approximately a year. He enjoys the classes immensely due to the various topics available; the “Star Series” classes are his absolute favorite. Thank you for playing a role in our son’s love of learning.

We love Andy Casagrande on shark week and I have gotten my kids more and more interested in his work via social media so this was a great opportunity to learn more on my kids level and get to see someone who we admire for his shark work. Technically speaking the connection was great and easy as well as the way to interact! We will be signing up for more!

I reached out to Varsity Tutors in the summer of 2021. I was signed up to take Organic Chemistry 1 for 5 weeks followed by Organic Chemistry 2 for 5 weeks. I was also taking 3 other classes. I knew I needed help within the first week because my last Chemistry class was over 15 years ago. I only had 4 weeks left of class and needed someone right away. I knew it could be hard going through my university to get help immediately.

My daughter and I are doing cartoon drawings. I enroll in this course because she likes to draw. Both of us liked the course of cartoon drawings a lot!!! If we can find more of this courses we will enroll ourselves! We like to paint with watercolor and oil paint. Thank you so much!

I took Spanish classes for 5 months with Varsity tutors and it was such a great experience. It was quick and easy to set up and manage, and the tutor Nicola was excellent. She ensured before we started she understood my goals, she checked in frequently in our classes that I was satisfied we were meeting them and made the classes a really comfortable and enjoyable learning experience. Before I found Varsity Tutors I had failed Business Statistics twice. With their helped I passed Stat I & II. My experience has been seemingly effortless. Happy with Varsity Tutors from the customer service, matching of tutors, all the tools provided, and the tutors I was paired with. So an update... I posted a review about our experience with Varsity Tutors. It was not a very good review. I was contacted by Sarah at Varsity Tutors and she apologized and fixed the issue... she made sure everything was taken care of before we got off the phone. I am happy with the resolution. Nicole ** is a phenomenal tutor, I can't speak highly of her enough. She covered 8 weeks of content within a 3 hour session and I received an 87% on that final! I can't speak for all the tutors but this one was really amazing!

I used Varsity Tutors to improve my GRE score. My tutor was very patient and intelligent. He explained every problem clearly and gave me tips on how to approach each question. The staff at Varsity Tutors were very friendly and helpful as well. They constantly reached out to make sure I have no questions unanswered. I have definitely recommend Varsity Tutors to anyone who wants a major improvement in their GRE scores.

My son attended his first class with Varsity Tutors and loved it. The interaction between the students and the teacher is great. Being able to answer questions in different ways was nice. Having the ability to ask questions and know that someone would see them was great! My son has taken all three of the Coyote Peterson classes and has absolutely loved them. Coyote is such a great instructor, full of excitement and enthusiasm that really helps to keep my son engaged. Not only that, but they've all been super informative.

Great tutor, doesn’t just go off and talk for 1 hour expecting you to understand everything, but instead stops around every 10 minutes to check up on you and ask ”are you understanding this? Do you need me to repeat it?, etc.” She engages into your learning to better help you learn.

Having tutor sessions with Daniel went smoothly. He was on time and was very knowledgeable about the subject. Something that I wish was different was more guidance on what to study on my own. If I had that extra guidance I would have scored better on the PCAT.

I was completing the last stage of my MBA degree and had hit a "brick wall " of sorts. As an RN, I had not been trained in some of the more complex financial concepts and formulas. I am so grateful that I discovered Varsity Tutors- as they were able to match me with the perfect Tutor to assist me in understanding all the concepts I needed to assimilate in order to complete both my projects and objective exams.

Some of the classes are really good and kids enjoy them. However, some of the instructors do not show up on time or cancel sometimes waiting for a while. But, overall is very good for children especially in this COVID situation.

I 'attended' (virtually of course) Varsity Tutors’ Star Course on the subject of the assassination of Julius Ceasar. It was presented by a renowned expert from the actual historical location where the event had happened. The expert, Darius **, gave a very interesting presentation, referring to the various nearby archaeological structures and pathways, and the q&a session held afterwards by the Varsity Tutors host was fascinating too. I took a chance on a class at Varsitytutors.com from an advertisement in Facebook. Who would have thought? I signed up for the free presentation on the death of Julius Caesar. It was a 45 minute video presentation that was absolutely spectacular. The grade level was supposedly grade school to high school but I have two master's degrees and I have never learned so much in just 45 minutes as I did in this video presentation. The speaker was so enthusiastic he could hardly hold himself on a live presentation of a tour of the Roman Forum. I have now signed up for another free class. The only requirement they have is they merely suggest that you consider having one of their private conferences for tutorial purposes. They have proven to be so good I would be willing to pay for this quality of learning.

My 8 year old daughter participated in a free Coyote Peterson class about different dangerous animals. She had such an amazing time and absolutely loved it. She drew pictures of each animal she learned about so that she could show her dad and I, she had such a great time and asked if she could do this every day. Coyote Peterson is one of her favorites to watch, and for Varsity Tutors to offer this class for free, I am so appreciative of. Seeing her face light up and smile is the best feeling in the world. Varsity Tutors does a wonderful job of providing a wide range of classes for many different interests. My children have enjoyed everything from learning about dinosaurs to origami and history. I highly recommend them.

Through Varsity Tutors Star Courses my child has been able to learn with experts in their field and have access to people you would not typically been able to access. Think NASA astronauts, TV, theatre and Social Media personalities and more. These have inspiring for her. Based on the classes she now knows how to teach out dog tricks, is fascinated with the human brain and STEM topics of all sorts and though she is already a working actor she has even found tips she didn’t know before. The best thing is it is clear these experts want to be teaching large groups of children because the exude positive energy and excitement as they teach. Learners can ask questions through the chat feature and the answers are read. It’s amazing access to expert teachers and these specific courses are free.

When I needed information about payment for my granddaughter's class selections, I was connected to Andre **. He was so very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, patient and competent. He deserves the 5 star rating that I indicated above in this survey. My compliments to him.

Although I was at first very disappointed with Varsity Tutors, I spoke with a couple of representatives who assured me that I would receive a refund as well as future tutoring support for my child if needed. I am satisfied with the result.

To say I am overly pleased with the quality of classes with Varsity Tutors would be an understatement. The depth and breadth of classes offered is astonishing. My kindergartener has been able to experience so much, even during a pandemic, and we are so grateful for Varsity Tutors.

We are taking free classes to try it out and so far they have been very impressive. Big Cats, Dinosaurs, Space, T-Rex Sue live or interactive with the teachers, fun and engaging. Great way to complement regular school classes.

Every class my daughter has taken over the past 9 months has been nothing short of amazing! She really has learned a lot, made new friends through her VT Plus classes, and always looks forward to a new adventure. The prices are more than fair, from free and up (there’s are different class sizes with different rates), ensuring everyone can be part of the learning experience! Also, the frequency and class times are helpful, adding to the ease of the online learning experience. Most importantly, all of the teachers are very caring, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable.

Interesting, engaging classes for a range of ages. Love this program, it's a great educational supplement for families. I highly recommend checking them out, it seems that they constantly are adding new content.

Some classes have been awesome, some have been ok. Some I would have really liked better if downloadable access could have been provided for some of the materials. My son is a little slower at grasping new ideas and getting started with something new, so it would be nice if we could always prepare a day or two ahead and have materials so we could finish a couple days afterward.

My daughters (3rd & 4th graders) and I watched “Tracing the Life of Frederick Douglass.” The virtual class was informative and engaging. My girls & I really liked it. My grandparents settled in Baltimore by way of NC & VA during the Great Migration and my dad, uncle, my siblings, & I were raised there. So, my girls were already familiar with Baltimore, other areas of Maryland, and (of course) Frederick Douglass. However, this lesson delved deeper (in an age/a grade appropriate manner) into the complex history of Maryland which my girls did not know about.

We love Varsity Tutors. Homeschooling can be a challenge for parents like me that have no teaching experience. So it’s nice to have classes my kids can take in subjects that are difficult for me to teach. All of their teachers have been professional and very engaging. My kids have loved every class they have ever taken.

The sign up and follow up experience was very professional, clear and engaging! My daughter yearns to be an astronaut so this platform was perfect for her. She was able to answers questions and learn so much within the hour. Though we have a Science Center membership, we can’t afford the additional exhibits or specialty camps offered, even at a discounted rate. Varsity Tutors offers a wide variety of classes in all price ranges. Most recently, I attended a kidney transplant they had live-streamed. I have also attended multiple SAT, ACT, and Spanish classes. The instructions are nothing but pleasant, and their classes are equally enjoyable.

Learning about weather from Dr. Reed Timmer, a top storm chaser and meteorologist in his field, is out of this world and I am thankful for the opportunity to be in these classes. My 12 year old enjoyed the Dino or Di-Not class presented with the Field Museum. He was at the top age range for the class and they did a great job of keeping it fun and educational even for an experienced Dinosaur fact aficionado like my son. He definitely learned a few new things and was engaged and responding Jeff as he lead the session. It is so fun to see him enjoying and interested in learning in his own chosen field of interest. Getting on a Zoom webinar after all day remote learning concerned me - but because it was something he loved he didn't even hesitate to join in.

As a homeschool teacher we love and appreciate the opportunity to attend classes like this. The kids absolutely loved talking about dinosaurs and getting to interact with the teacher. Fabulous program. Our 1st grader started here after trying public school online. Varsity Tutors is so much better! Small group classes are very small, teachers are friendly and there is a different instructor for each subject. They use zoom but there never seems to be a technical issue that comes up. Our public school had technical issues regularly, too many children in a class and not enough engagement. Varsity Tutors is very engaging. Our son is constantly answering or asking questions and showing active participation. The small class size helps this. They also offer many enrichment courses to choose from and they are included in a remarkably reasonable tuition rate.

Purchased tutor sessions for my daughter for PSAT and got a tutor that did not meet any of the requested tutor criteria that we were told they would match her with. I raised my concern and they matched us, but this next tutor spent half of the only session talking about himself and his likes, feelings on COVID, and was not even close to teaching and test strategy, etc. I requested a refund and they are not refunding for the only session that was not even close to a tutoring session. Huge disappointment and I will never recommend.

The NJ Real Estate is an extremely hard test. I needed help and bad. I looked online and read the reviews about Varsity Tutors. They are amazing, Honestly! They asked me a few questions to see what I was looking for. They gave me the perfect match for me to pass my test. My tutor's name is Maria. Not only did she go over test questions but she also explained everything. She sent me notes of our sessions, gave me study guides and more. Without a doubt Varsity Tutors is the way to go!!!!

My daughter really likes what she learned in this class. She has been studying ancient Egypt in school, but this class allowed her to actually see and experience things from ancient Egypt. We really liked how the guide asked questions for her to think about. I think she got more out of this 45 min class than she gets out of her full week of studies in school.

I found out about VT through an ad and immediately enrolled my daughter for various courses because I like to keep her engaged. She's taken art, language and ocean exploration courses and recently one about representation with an Olympic swimmer. It was very inspirational and Simone talked about her life experiences and how hard she worked to get to the Olympics! My daughter is on the swim team so I wanted her to hear about how Simone became an Olympic champion and if she persevered and carried out her passion, she could one day follow in her footsteps. I cannot say enough positive things regarding my tutoring sessions with Samantha. I had taken the RICA twice before working with Samantha and was not successful. Varsity Tutors guaranteed I would pass and I did. We purchased 18 hours in sessions and Samantha was accommodating with her schedule (I broke my jaw and needed to reschedule sessions). I am confident I would not have passed the test again if not for Samantha's tutoring. Her knowledge of the test and how to write for the test were top-notch. She listened to my concerns and analyzed my answers with corrections that made the difference in the final outcome.

My husband and I ordered a 9-hour tutoring package to help our son preview for high school entrance interviews. I was doubtful that someone could help with this virtually. I am happy to say that I could not have been more wrong. Trevor ** was an outstanding tutor who really helped our son. Interview prep is something I thought could only be done through question and answer practice sessions. Trevor had so much more in mind. Knowing that it was a 9 hour package, he laid out a plan to write responses to common questions, prepare detailed bullet points for possible topics to bring up, find reading materials that supported his approach, and have time for plenty of actual interview practice.

I wanted to help my daughter prepare for the HSPT test with the help of Varsity Tutors. First tutor didn’t have experience tutoring for that test nor did they use the Varsity Tutor platform. They weren’t prepared for the session and gave no plan for the next session. After requesting a second tutor that was assigned a week later, I explained my expectations for the session. Their response was, "I have other engagements, please find another tutor." I asked the agent if my expectations were out of line and they said no. This company is quick to take your money and not back it up with a service that they promise. The tool they use seems good but our experience with the tutors was pathetic. I would never recommend them based on our experience. Waste of time and money.

Our son, Dominic, has been learning Latin with your instructor Asher P. Asher is an excellent instructor and works well with Dominic who has ADHD and sometimes looses focus. Asher is able to keep Dominic on-track. Dominic has excelled in learning Latin and enjoys the weekly class without any hesitation. Asher is a real asset and I highly recommend him has a language tutor. He is patient and engaging.

Great presentation, son actually sat for the whole 45+ minute presentation! He hasn’t sat for any “school” this long for quite some time. I love the variety of classes and as a newly homeschool family, it gives a sense of old school normality!

I have been extremely pleased with the 3 classes I signed my children up for. 1. Inside the Brain 2. Amazing Arthropods and 3. Diary of a Rocket Launch, The power point slides, videos and pictures easily capture the attention of my children. They really enjoyed being able to ask questions in hopes that it gets answered or answer the multiple choice questions randomly throughout the presentation. We would love to see more classes like the ones offered with Phil ** and Leland **. One recommendation would be to maybe shorten the Inside the Brain to 45 minutes about. Love what you guys are doing here and how it helps open little curious minds to the beauty of learning and education.

My five-year-old loved hearing Leland Melvin talk about his experiences in outer space! Can’t believe this was free. We will definitely seek more experiences like this one, especially now that we are homeschooling during quarantine.

All summer long I worried about what to present my children with that could keep them informed, educated, entertained and provide hands-on activities. When COVID-19 closed schools in our area, we looked around for resources that could help our kindergartener work through his difficulty with dual language reading so that he could enter first grade with confidence. I was incredibly skeptical of paying such a hefty price for tutoring but I also knew that with two other children home 24/7 while my spouse and I both worked, we needed to be able to find the most effective tutor possible.

I could not comprehend Matlab in the slightest. It was a big class, and I attended all the lectures, yet I could hardly understand anything that was being said. I was at risk of failing. So, I ended up googling for tutors, and I scheduled with Varsity Tutors. It was fantastic. The tutor was very helpful in explaining the concepts of Matlab in a way my teacher couldn't. The one-on-one style helped a lot too. Despite the sessions usually only being about an hour or two, I learned lots about Matlab, and I ended up passing the class! Five Stars for saving my grades, and I highly recommend Matlab for anybody struggling in College, especially with coding!

My tutor was Kavi **. He was very knowledgeable in the subject, so he explained most topics clearly. The exceptions were topics my professor taught differently. There were a few times he started late because he said his session your schedule close to each other, but overall the experience was great.

I have had a great experience with Varsity. The hourly rate seemed pricey when I got the tutoring package for my high school daughter but tutors are excellent including the ones we connected with for instant tutoring. It is time and money well spent. I was also amazed by the quality and quantity of free classes Varsity offered during the pandemic. I signed up my middle schooler for a lot. I would definitely use Varsity Tutors again and would recommend them to a friend. Although I felt confident with the math, I was struggling with the concepts in an online summer Physics course. I completed an online request form and was called first thing the next morning by a representative who asked me what kinds of problems I was having so he could determine a tutor who would be a good fit. They offered to set up a session within 24 hours and had "emergency" tutors available if I needed one right away. I was placed with Mo ** and we clicked immediately. She really did understand the stress and frustration I was having and was able to give me usable strategies right away. The technical format of Varsity Tutors was very user-friendly as well. It was easy to upload images from books (I was a little worried that I had a physical book and not an e-book, but it wasn't a problem at all).

My daughter loved this class w/ Amelia **. It may have been hard for Amelia to tell on Zoom, but my daughter was really into it and looked forward to every class. I had a math tutor for three semesters that helped out tremendously. It definitely wouldn’t have been the same without varsity tutors and they did a great job finding the right person to help me out with each class.

Had a high school senior who was taking French AP. Tried a few other tutoring services before landing myself on Varsity Tutors. They were able to match a native speaking tutor (Olivier) who came extremely well prepared for each of the sessions. In fact he has taught French AP in his past experience and knew exactly the exam layout and how best to coach my daughter. Long story short, she received a AP score of 4. In addition, the platform was relatively easy and collaborative for virtual sessions and there were constant phone calls from our Varsity Tutor focal to see if everything was going as planned. They never dropped the ball. It's always a combination of the tutoring service, the tutor and the student that need to align to get the desired results. So there are a fair few moving parts to consider. We are ecstatic with the results. So glad we found Varsity Tutors and Olivier.

I really enjoyed this company until I realized they were all about the money. My tutor was great. There was nothing really wrong with him. But the company itself is awful. I had recommended it to a few people but I rescinded my recommendation, and they all found other tutoring services as well as I did. The company was rude, had terrible communication and they just tried to charge my account more money for tutoring sessions I had already paid for. They called my parents saying that I asked for three more hours of tutoring services and that they were going to charge my account, luckily I spoke with my parents and this was not true at all. I had one more session left but apparently I had used all my “hours”, when most the time I felt kind of rushed by my tutor anyway, and wound up not actually using the 90 minutes that I was paying for.

Magic Potions: A Chemistry Class. This class was very enjoyable and fun. The teacher showed the audience fun experiments and provided them with the details and ingredients they would need to perform the experiments. The tutor used fun experiments to show the class facts about chemistry.

My son has taken a two-month summer class called "History via Music for 6-12 graders" from Varsity Tutor and I need to share with everyone that, the teacher, Lyndsey **, is one of the best music history teachers ever. She lives in Denver and she hosts this history class at 9am everyday for two months and today is the last class. During these two months, students learned about US history from the 18th century until the 90s but using music as the backdrops and so as we were learning history but also learned about why certain songs/pieces would go with that historical periods. From Beethoven to Mozart, to blues and jazz...to Michael Jackson and guess what...as the teacher ended the lesson today, she picked Guns-N-Roses' Sweet Child O' Mine to close the class. I almost cried! From Beethoven to Guns-N-Roses...this is the BEST music history class ever! #varsitytutors

My son this morning woke up excited to attend his Varsity Tutors Magic Potions class that we had enrolled him in after receiving an invite from Varsity Tutors directly. We enrolled immediately after receiving the email, and received a confirmation email. The night before the class we received an email from the teacher providing instructions on what household items would be needed for the "potions." My son was beyond excited. The day and time of the class we signed into zoom like we had many times before after receiving the link directly from Varsity Tutors. Once signed in we got a message saying, the class was full (500 participants) and we could not join! Why dangle a carrot only to pull it away - from a kid no less! In the future, they should inform students that they may not get to participate instead of leading them and their parents to believe they would get to attend.

The company worked with me promptly to resolve our issue with this course. I spoke with Sarah in Client Services and she carefully and respectfully listened to my concerns. I felt heard and valued and am satisfied with how this issue has been resolved. In addition, we were very pleased with our son's experience in all the other Varsity Tutors Virtual Summer Camp courses he has taken to date. In particular, he greatly enjoyed Brain Games 401 with Sylvia U. from June 29-July 2/20 and Animal Kingdom 450 with Ashley D from June 23-July 7/20. In Brain Games, my son said Sylvia taught a lot of cool information in a fun way. In Animal Kingdom, Ashley brought the animals to life with her fun hands-on activities and engaging teaching style. My son is considering requesting private tutoring with her so he can dive into the topics in more depth.

Carl is AMAZING. He has helped me so much it actually seems like they want me to do good in school and dont just want my money lol. They always work out a payment plan that works best for me so I'm not stressing over money. Kaitlin my tutor is the best tutor I have ever had. Honestly she should be paid more the time she puts into looking at my assignment outlines and studying up so she's knowledgeable and can help me. I know it's not my place but I genuinely think she deserves a dollar or two raise if that's possible because she is amazing tutor and one of the smartest and most hardworking people I have talked to. She's so flexible and understanding if I can't make it or am late sometimes. I hope you guys recognize how lucky you are to have someone like her working for you. Like I pay 70 dollars an hour for this and she deserves at least half of that.

My daughter was struggling a great deal with summer school Geometry. It was a totally new subject for her at an accelerated pace. She was very discouraged and in danger of failing. Along came Uma and Varsity Tutors. I can't thank them enough for connecting us with Uma. She clicked perfectly with my daughter and is so very smart. We will definitely maintain the relationship with Varsity Tutors and hopefully Uma will continue to be available.

Since remote pre-algebra instruction was very inadequate, I had to find help for my grandson so he can succeed in the Fall when he takes Algebra. After checking out different options (and having my teacher daughter vet them), I decided on Varsity Tutors. I found them because of the free summer classes offered. I know I made the right choice. His tutor is enthusiastic, patient and really knows the subject. My grandson is doing great and he's also enthusiastic - so much so that he's up early and at his "desk" for each session. I can see the light bulb going off as he "gets it", and I know he'll be ready when school resumes. I think we'll probably continue to use Varsity to supplement school instruction, because it looks as though we'll be "learning" remotely again this year. If your child needs to catch up or to be ahead of the game, you can count on Varsity Tutors!

We had an amazing teacher for the class. Is It Ready Yet? Healthy Easy Snacks 413. Grace ** did a phenomenal job at making sure to be interactive and answer the kids questions even though there were thousands in the class. She answered questions and made learning how to cook fun for the kids. I would love for my kids to take her classes again!

Hello, I just wanted to say Thank You for helping me. I had to take a new approach to this class, so I decided to try a tutor. My tutor's name was Megan **. She was very helpful. She went over probably 100 practice questions with me. Thank you for setting me up with a tutor who was willing to do that. I took my midterm the following week, and I scored a lot better than my previous test.

I am grateful and very thankful for your special education department. He was so patient, so understanding, spend so much time learning about our needs and spending so much time to help us to find the right teacher that sparked the love of learning in my nephew. For 17 years he only had one other teacher that he liked so much. She is absolutely amazing, so patient with him, so loving. Without exaggeration he hates learning. I have only had two sessions with my tutor (Samantha **) as of now. She is helping me review some chemistry concepts before taking a placement test for college, and will be helping me throughout my first quarter of College Chemistry. She is very patient and helpful and explains things in a way that is easy to understand and remember. I have had a great experience with her so far!

My daughter struggled with Org chem. So for Org Chem 2 we decided to try Varsity Tutors. We read the reviews and most said grades improve one or two letter grades. We wanted a a tutor in person. There was only only one tutor and the training would be online. Well it was an amazing experience for me as a parent. Each test grade improved and she ended with a B+ in the class. Brian Jacobs was a great tutor. He was able to teach her concepts that were cumulative helping her on all the tests. They used the white board and she actually liked that method. Brian was awesome!

Tutor for SAT prep was Matthew H. He always came prepared with practice problems. Matthew would also explain the reasoning behind answers instead of just moving on once problems had been completed. He was also very knowledgeable on all subjects required for the SAT and was still comfortable and clear in his instructions when topics switched abruptly. Essay writing tutor was Elke **. She not only coached me when writing my essays, but also instilled in me many writing tips that I still use today. My pre-calculus tutor was Glenn **. He helped me not only complete my Pre-Calculus homework on time, but helped me retain information I had learned in class through repeated practice. My Physics tutor Rebecca was very efficient when helping me through my Physics homework. We would often get through lots of material very quickly without sacrificing my understanding of the topics for speed.

I signed my daughter up for ACT group class. It was a waste of time and money. The teacher never showed her voice both times and told the kids to exchange phone numbers so they could text, which is what they then did all class. I called Varsity Tutors and luckily dealt with Simone who handled things very nicely and calmed me down. I was very frustrated and disappointed. She gave me a credit and I decided to go with a private tutor and ended up purchasing a bundle. Simone has followed up to see if I was, indeed, happy and I am. If not for Simone I would have shared my huge disappointment on social media. I still think you should not have an “invisible” teacher teaching. My own situation, however, has been remediate and I think Simone should be recognized for her professionalism when dealing with the situation. I was extremely upset by the waste of money and our time. Thank you.
