I mailed the same mail to the same address every two weeks. Sometimes it takes three days to get there. Sometimes it takes 10 days to get there. I don’t understand how can that be. They don’t move the business and it’s on a state highway. It’s being delivered so much for paying for that extra money for the extra package cannot be delivered on time. Should’ve been there Monday. Still not there and it’s Wednesday.

I made a purchase online. It was two Identical packages with two different tracking numbers. Both packages was supposedly pick up at the same time in NJ. One was delivered to my home in VA and the other package is still saying it's in transit from New Jersey. It's obvious to a sane person that the package wasn't picked or was lost but as you know it's Impossible to get past the automated system. I think maybe it's gone postal too.

On Thurs. 5-1-25 I went to the post office to send out a card. I wanted to make sure it was delivered by Monday 5-5-25. I asked the employee what can I do to get it there on Time. She said you can send it 2-day delivery for $10.10. I paid the amount and said are you sure it will be there on Monday and she said yes. The receipt said deliver 5-5. It is now wednesday 5-7 and it still hasn't been delivered. I called the post office and told them I wanted my money back and she said I can't have it back because they have till friday 5-9 to deliver it. They can't guarantee that it will be delivered on time. If the card isn't delivered by friday, I then can put in a complaint. They get 8 days to deliver my card and get paid $10.10 for a 2 day delivery. What a Rip Off! It's a total shame!

If they offered a half a star, I don’t even think USPS would have that. They are by far the worst shipping company I have ever dealt with that is guaranteed to never get you your packages on time and when you call to complain, nobody does anything they absolutely offer no assistance at all whatsoever? USPS is as good as the last administration in the White House.

I arrived at the Hazel Crest location at 5 minutes to closing (5:55pm) and the worker refused to service me because I wanted to send an overnight package. She looked up and said, “if you’re not dropping off it’s too late. What you need?” I said I’m in here and you close in 5 minutes. She was sure to let me know that they pick up at 4pm. What did this have to do with anything? It could have been shipped out tomorrow. I guess that she missed locking the door early for chatting with a guy that she obviously knew. She had the nerve to be very nasty about it. #terribleservice

So first of all I worked as a postmaster in an Ohio office. And I always believed the customer service was very important. Today I went to the post office at Grossmount center and asked for a postmark on a letter that required a postmark and all they could do is wave a paper at me and said, "We can do that anymore." Now I know why the USPS get bad reviews. No customer service just paper waving.

USPS is estimating 5 days to deliver a Priority Mail package that's been shipped from an 8 hour drive away in Texas to here in Mississippi. Currently it's in Greenville SC which is STILL 8 hours away. That's after being sent to Mobile AL, only 2 hours away yesterday? No wonder USPS is in such financial trouble with this kind of ridiculous routing.

I paid for priority shipping (1-3 days). Since my package was going a short distance and 5 days were allowed, I had no worries. Instead, the package sat for 5 days in a warehouse in the town next to where it was supposed to be delivered and was finally delivered after 7 days. I literally could have walked it there sooner and saved myself almost $100. They’re quick to take your money and slow to deliver… even with a premium service.

I run an e-Commerce store, and USPS has some issues. In 2023, carriers delivered a package of football jerseys to an address that doesn't exist (I know because the Manager of the location admitted it) and it was never recovered. For 3 months I tried to resolve this with the Postmaster General - even threatened to sue them. No action was taken. All I asked for, was the $400 I lost in cost and potential earnings (I provided all documents and proof of business). I'm getting irritated thinking about it because they got me.
Fast forward to April of this year. April 12th (today is May 2) I ordered a poster from Utah (probably in a tube) and a CD from Texas on the same day. The CD arrived in less than 5 days. The poster still hasn't arrived - but tracking says the local branch has possession of it for two days, and it's still not out for delivery. It might be due to Trump changes in the USPS Governing Board, since the former head has departed in March. Either way... it almost taken 3 weeks, still empty handed. Unacceptable.

Beware of mail drivers that are delivering packages. They are taking pictures of the product to show that it got delivered but then stealing the package and walking away with it. Whether you got cameras or not. I know I'll get my money back but the hassle to get it and the time wasted it's a pain. This also includes USPS and Amazon drivers. BUYERS BEWARE.

The US Postal service should be dissolved. The only thing they are good at delivering is junk mail and no-one cares about it. I had a weekly check sent Priority Mail for the last 4 weeks. 1 of the 4 came on time. The other 3 I have always had to call and they have to go hunting. It comes from Texas. I still have one from 4/18 that still says it left Texas on April 22nd. Nothing since then. The tracking system is awful. The customer service people do not see anything other than what I see so they know nothing. I tried to return the extra prepaid Priority Mail envelopes and they told me they do not do refunds on USPS materials. DO NOT BUY AHEAD! I told the clerk the envelopes were useless and I had to use FedEx now. They don't care. Nothing but excuses. (My daughter is a carrier for the USPS in another city.) I still will use FedEx before them from now on!

Apparently the tracking number means absolutely *NOTHING* because it's been 3 weeks and it shows it only being received from the place in which it was sent from. Great! Nice job, Guys. I called the number on the receipt, waited 20 minutes for a snotty, condescending "representative" to call me acting like I was somehow bothering her. Nothing they can do she told me, because it's been longer than 14 days...??? Oh, okay makes perfect sense (not). She told me to go to a post office to file lost mail. I should've known she didn't know anything.
I went to a post office. There I was told they also can do nothing since it hasn't been 30 days. This is a true story! Can it get any dumber? Yes. Point is, don't bother with USPS. Next time I'll save myself the absolute uncertainty of wondering if my document arrived to the destination by using FedEx. And I went to where I sent the thing from and demanded my money back, too. So at least I got that. I'll have to send the entire thing all over again thanks to the incompetence and scamming ways of the USPS. Then Sullivan sent it BACK to St Louis, which is 40 miles EAST of Union. So it was here, then misdirected 30 miles away, THEN misdirected AGAIN 40 miles on the opposite side of my address. I called and found out that USPS does NOT DO ANYTHING UNTIL 8 days after expected delivery. Not even check and see why this is happening (I'm sure I'm not the only one), so maybe some kind of retraining or monitoring or spot-checking can be done to be more efficient and customer-centric. This review is only for their Priority Mail International. If you have a time sensitive package that you need to ship internationally, DO NOT USE PRIORITY MAIL INTERNATIONAL! It costs almost $50.00 and takes almost a month for the shipment to be delivered. You are better off just mailing it out with First Class International mail ($1.65), as it will get there in the same amount of time. Saving you $48.35. They will not refund your shipping cost, even though they failed to get your shipment there in a priority time frame.

USPS is the WORST at delivering, updates and customer service. It should say customer non-service. 9 out of 10 times there is an issue with USPS performance. Example= I placed an order with this company on 03/31/2025 they sent it USPS (even though I requested a different carrier). They mistakenly used USPS. Package was accepted at the post office on 03/31/2025 2:35 PM. Here is now 04/04/2025 and there is no update. It shows package is "acceptance pending" 5 DAYS LATER!!
On 04/01/2025 I made another order from the same company and had them use UPS. That was delivered on 04/03/2025 at 4:00 PM. I see that USPS is TRYING to use weather as an excuse, nice try. The weather is the same for all carriers. Tracking number on this package is **. This is getting REALLY OLD when trying to deal with this service. and it's not like the P>O is around the corner, it's 12 miles away. There is little to NO professionalism or caring if the customer is serviced properly. There IS a reason this outfit loses and average of 10 Billion dollars a year.

I wouldn't advise anyone to use USPS unless you don't have any choice. Customer service is terrible. No prompt service on what happened to your package or mail. Today, I had a mailman who I guess doesn't like his job anymore, tell me he was withholding my mail because a garbage can was blocking my porch. In fact there is a garbage can on the side of my porch, but nothing is blocking access to deliver my mail. I've had problems with vandalism and homeless. And sometimes forget, to move it. But there is no fencing anywhere.
Also it's a federal crime to steal mail, withhold mail, or not deliver mail as you get it. I don't know why any employee who works for the post office and delivers mail would need to threaten me with not delivering my mail as he has been put into a position of trust. I no longer feel safe regarding this mailman, it's probably time for him to find a different place of employment. All he had to do was knock on my door and tell me that he doesn't want to walk around my garbage can? Very unprofessional. No fencing, or any other blocks. Too bad. His name is Jeff. As is the norm the USPS is constantly showing how incompetent they are as a company. Last 6 orders (3 shipped and 3 receiving) are all late again. Doesn't matter anymore. The usps just stinks as a poorly ran organization. Example of a package. Shipped from Georgia on the 20th and destination is Kentucky. 5 days to move to another facility in Georgia. Then once shipped 3 days to go to St Paul Minnesota. Then back down to Indianapolis. Next stop I would assume would be Lexington and then onto local post office. Going so far out of a package's way is a constant thing. Lose a package, "We are sorry." Damage a package "We are sorry." File an insurance claim and they fight it. If there were an Olympic event for inefficiency, the United States Postal Service (USPS) would take home the gold—every single time. I don’t know what’s worse: the lost packages, the ridiculous delays, or the infuriating lack of accountability when something inevitably goes wrong. Let’s start with their tracking system, which might as well be a random number generator. Packages sit in limbo for days, sometimes weeks, bouncing between facilities in a bizarre, nonsensical loop before mysteriously vanishing into the abyss. Calling customer service is just as pointless; you’ll be met with robotic scripts, empty apologies, and zero resolution. Heaven forbid you actually need to speak to someone in person at a post office—prepare for long lines, attitude-laden clerks, and a level of apathy that is almost impressive in its consistency.
Oh, and let’s not forget their brilliant idea of marking packages as “delivered” when they are nowhere to be found. The best part? They refuse to admit fault. Either your package was stolen (your problem, not theirs), misdelivered (also your problem), or is “still in transit” despite being marked otherwise (translation: they have no idea where it is). USPS is a masterclass in dysfunction, proving time and time again that “affordable” shipping means playing Russian roulette with your mail. If you value your sanity, avoid them at all costs.

Look at the overall rating of USPS, 1.2 stars out of 5… You cannot go below 1-star. It is not possible… I tried and you have to select at least 1-star to submit the review… So this service is at the bottom of the heap… It needs to be gutted and overhauled or turned over to the private sector!

The problem isn't the mail carriers but the lack of use of modern technology. I currently have a priority mail package which has been going in circles around the united states for two months. It has passed thru the same sorting centers at least 4 times. When this package came thru the same sorting center for the second or third time it should have been flagged as an error and pulled aside for investigation but nope, it just keeps going in circles from state to state. I've opened THREE cases on this and each one was closed with no resolution.
The furthest I got was an email stating that they would "keep and eye out for it". That was a month ago. Are they standing there looking for a brown box? Now any time I see a package hit "Jacksonville Package Sorting Center" I know it's going to be late or lost and it will probably just sit there for 5 days. USPS ground advantage... renamed from first class mail because first class is actually last class mail. I no longer buy from any seller who doesn't give me UPS or FedEx as an option.

I cannot believe I have to do this. The United States Post Office in this day and age is completely and utterly worthless. I paid to have five very important and time-sensitive documents to be sent by certified mail with return signatures. They all were being sent to local addresses in the same city. Only two out of the five made it to their destination. I am yet to receive the signature cards for the two that were delivered. All were mailed the same day, January 17th, 2025. This next part is absolutely ridiculous. The other three certified packages got routed to Phoenix Arizona. Not one person can tell me anything as to how and why.
I was not informed about any of it. I only found out after tracking them. They sat there for over three weeks before tracking provided an update stating it was en route to the next facility, not the address it was intended for. It is now February 23rd, 2025 and they still have not been delivered. Good luck trying to reach an actual person that will help you. Nobody will answer the phones. You are not provided with any kind of way to speak with someone about any issue. The automated system is a joke. You will not get a resolution to any of your issues.

A friend from Florida sent a package to me in Omaha. I got a notice that the package had the wrong address and they were sending it back to FL. My friend took a photo of the label and I could see that the address was correct. I called the 800 # for USPS and waited on hold for 45 minutes to explain to them that the address was correct and hoped that they could deliver the box. I was told that they couldn't enter a request in the computer ON THE SAME DAY and that I needed to wait until the next day to call. So the next day I went to my local Post Office and they called the other local post office where my package was initially received. She was told that the box was a liquor box and the markings weren't covered so it was being returned to FL. How difficult would it have been for someone here in Omaha to open the box and see what was inside and see that nothing was leaking?
I told the lady at our local post office that they needed a different choice for "wrong packaging" instead of "wrong delivery address". She didn't care. I told my friend, who then told me that the guy in FL at their post office said it would be ok to use that box. So, the Post Office in FL sent a box in the wrong package to Omaha and in Omaha they were too stupid to open the box and then it was sent back with a note that it had the wrong address. I was taken aback not only by the lack of basic customer service but also by the openly displayed rudeness, hostility, and mockery. As a non-native English speaker, she repeatedly mocked my English proficiency, which was not only inappropriate and unprofessional but also discriminatory. Her body language and overall demeanor further conveyed disinterest and an unwillingness to assist.
Additionally, when I asked her about shipping options, etc., she initially ignored me and later responded with monosyllabic, unhelpful answers. For example, when I inquired why the post office had been closed during its usual operating hours the previous day, her response was simply: "Because we weren’t here." I expect a higher level of professionalism at a federal service institution, and I expect not to be subjected to discrimination based on my language proficiency, national origin, or any other personal characteristic. I hope customer service at this location improves to ensure a respectful and inclusive experience for all.

Nov. 30 2024 mailed Christmas package. It was lost, then lost the claim, On Feb 12 2025 I'm out $100, 90% of USPS employees should be fired, They are doing nothing. They could care less on top of it. I have 15 pages of detailed information dealing with the United states postal service, there are many times customers are treated badly in today's world, but dealing with the USPS takes abuse, negligence, incompetence, indifference to a all new level. Each and every department you speak to on this journey of absolute misery anger, frustration and humiliation you begin to see a pattern. Each employee is limited to what it can do. One dept. takes the info, that's it. They do no more then you go to another person in another dept. It does one thing and that is repeats half the same info from the prior one but adds the line "We can only track the package the same way you do on line at a public site."
Then you're amazed as to why they should be there at all if you're just tracking the same way I am, and after being let down they can't find the package either. They send you to another dept. That department says let me give you a ' REQUEST NUMBER." I told them I already have a request number, they act like your fell out of a Christmas tree and say that there's nothing else they can do, the package is in Bethesda and hopefully it will be delivered, you tell them that the package has been in "Bethesda Maryland for two weeks now and I spoke to the Dr. I sent the package to and he says he still hasn't received it," it's now 2 weeks after Christmas the package is lost.
When you finally get them to admit the package is lost they send you to a lady that only works 4 days a week and never answers the phone so you leave a message, so you finally after days get a call back and long story short she says it in Bethesda should get delivered soon, you tell her it's not working. It's been there 2 weeks. It's lost, It takes 2 more calls to her to admit it's lost and she says file a claim, go to the website and file a claim, postal employees don't file claims, you do it yourself.
So I go online I'm the most untechy person you will ever meet, but I'm on there for an hour filling out information just to get the form and I can't get the form, so I go back to the lady that only answers her phone a couple times a week and she gives me another number to call where I get the claim form to file a "loss claim". I wait another week and no claim. I call back again and she says, "It must be lost. I will send out another claim." I wait 4 days and I get a printed claim form. I spend about half hour filling it out, add my post office receipt, actual pictures of the items and the prices for each item. Jan 17 2025 I mail it out.
It's now Feb 11 2025 and I still have no response so I call this number. The only one I can find 800 275 8777 and she tells me there's nothing they can do, she said it's in not scanned. They can't find it Bethesda Maryland and they can't file the claim either. So I said, "What now?" She said, "All you you can do is contact by mail" and she said she got the address off the website. I could get it there myself but she will give it to me, at this time I'm on the phone 12:35 minutes and she says write Consumer Affairs at "consumers affairs." They have a customer advocate there, I said "I can't believe this is happening. Is there a supervisor or someone that can help me?"
And after another 5 mins I get the person that's not called a supervisor (she told me she's a leader) and I ask her why would I write another office when it's been over a month you have lost my package, lost the information about the package, lost my claim, why would I have any confidence in you not loosing a letter to the consumer affairs. She say "well we are going to go with the "assurance" it will get there."
At this time of almost 2 months I have lost my window of time getting my refund for the lost package. I said I really am not going to insult myself and play this nonsense USPS game another minute. I'm just going to call my congressman and see if he can help me. I'm 78 years old, survived for the moment the worst types of cancer there is, I live on Social Security and I can't afford to lose $100.00 the cost of the items in the package, I can't go back on the internet, look up every item again with prices, go back and post all new pictures.
I call my senator Ted Cruz. I leave a message with my information, and I also email him with my contact information and a very brief message I Need help with the USPS. That was on 2/11/25. As of 2/12/25 still no call from Senator Cruz's office. So it's been Nov 24 to 2/12/25 I have no package, no claim refunded and I'm waiting for my senators office to return a call and an email.
I will tell you from 15 years experience dealing with my local USPS Spring Branch, Texas 78070. It's another exercise in futility, they have never even answered the phone in 15 years. So with that said I have no answers but maybe for to a UPS store and see if they can succeed in sending a package. It's been 75 days today 15 pages of documented correspondence with the usps store. Nothing but making myself sick trying to resolve an issue I bought insurance for and they won't refund my money, I don't have the usps receipt anymore because I sent it with the lost claim but I do have proof in my backing statement. All I wanted was to get my money back so I can send my very special Dr. who save my life his Christmas presents I send him every year and keeps on his shelf in his office. I'm going to save my money and buy them again and send them to him with or without the help of my senator or the USPS.

Yes there are some who do care, but a few bad apples makes everyone look bad. Still waiting on a piece of mail from a week ago today from Arkansas, has not arrived. That my friend is stupidity and lazy. They want to keep raising their prices but can not even perform the duties. Close the offices so we don't have to keep paying money to a business that don't do anything.

I have a payment that mail every month to the Chicago Illinois area. Normally it takes six days or so to arrive. The last two months it's taken 14+ business days to reach the destination. Late arrival has caused late payments that incur late payments, and it will reflect on my credit rating as so. The rates are about to go up, and the service isn't worth the charges of today's rates.

USPS Express. I paid $32 to get important documents to its destination by the next day and 4 days later they arrived. I attempted to file a claim online as soon as I encountered the problem to no avail. I called the 800 number and after holding for over an hour the call dropped without even speaking with anyone. Due to a medical emergency, I could not make it to the post office until after the time to file a claim. At the post office, I was told I was supposed to file a claim by the 30th day of mailing the package not receipt of the package. My circumstances did not matter, even with proof of the medical illness and ambulance paperwork.

I leave for vacation today. My package it was supposed to be here on the 13th is still in Springfield, but I can’t even go pick it up there! United States Postal Service is the worst ever. This is my second package that they’ve had in Springfield for over four days before even trying to get it to me Since the first of the year. Springfield is saying it’s due to weather, but we haven’t had any bad weather since it arrived in Springfield. It’s because I don’t know how to do their job and supposedly they’re just really backed up. It’s funny how they keep raising their prices to ship stuff and their customer service and their shipping completely sucks and then when you call them to try to get it worked out or they can’t do anything about it. Absolutely hate the United States Postal Service. That’s why I do not use them at all costs.

Over the past several days, I've been looking for a customer service rep to help me. All I need is an official change of address document reprinted. I was told it's $85, no problem. Except everyone I talked to could not provide this document to me. They all said they couldn't see it in their system. Now they're saying there is absolutely nothing they can do for me. That a change of address form cannot be reprinted although initially all I had to do was pay a fee. The customer service is lacking tremendously & I'm very disappointed that weren't willing or able to solve my issue.

Get a carrier pigeon and you won't get your purchases stolen and your stuff on "delayed" until you do a refund. Then when you do the refund there is no option for when it specifically says as soon as it hits the USA it's suddenly delayed for weeks with no explanation. It's because an employee took it or neglected their job on your part. Make an option for self improvement and stop being like the rest of the government.

Terrible. I sent a package to someone in Wilmington, VT and the carrier is clearly blind or incompetent. I sent a package with a label printed out on my computer in 24 font. I covered the whole label with mailing tape. I found out it was returned to sender. I called the customer service center who tried to extort more money out of me to send the package back to VT so the carrier could refuse to deliver it and send it back again. The address was verified as complete by several USPS employees. The problem with it being returned lies solely on the incompetence of the USPS. I have several more packages ready to go to the same recipient and now have to repackage to use another carrier.

Upon checking the tracking information, I learned that the package was handed to a stranger at an unknown address, and now I have no idea where it went. This is completely unacceptable. It’s alarming that USPS would deliver a package to someone with no connection to my address. I’ve tried reaching out for assistance, but the process has been slow and unhelpful. If USPS can’t ensure safe and accurate deliveries, I’ll have to reconsider using their services in the future. I hope this issue is resolved quickly, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend USPS for reliable package delivery.

The absolute worst, and most unprofessional, postmaster and mail carrier we have ever encountered. The carrier that services our road claims to be afraid of our dog, even though she is the same size and breed (Australian Shepherd) as the previous occupants’ dog and they had no problems with this carrier (we are friends and have talked with them about it). Not only is their dog quite animated, barks a lot, and can be unruly, our dog is in training to be a service dog for hospital and nursing home patients.
When we went to talk with the postmaster about our grievances, we brought her with us and she interacted with multiple strangers in the lobby and showed no aggression toward the postmaster. We have attempted multiple times to remedy matters with the carrier and she has adamantly refused. Instead, she reported to the postmaster that she is afraid of the dog, and of my husband who she said she felt was “bullying” her when he calmly, directly attempted to address and resolve matters by talking to her.
The postmaster was dismissive of our complaints and concerns. This included our concern for all the carriers more broadly, because they have been instructed by the postal service training to hold their foot against the door to prevent the occupant from opening it if there is concern over a dog inside (we were informed of this by the postmaster herself). The carrier did this on one occasion to me, claiming later to my husband that she “knew” I was going to open the door and let the dog out (the dog wasn’t even in the room - I had locked her in another room because I knew of the carrier’s professed fear). On another occasion she held the door handle and would not let me open it.
In both cases, I was being forcibly held in my own home. We explained to her and to the postmaster that these actions could readily be interpreted as acts of aggression, regardless of her intent, and that although there would be no aggressive reaction in response from us, the same could not be said of those who may have past trauma that would be triggered by this inappropriate (though officially sanctioned) behavior. We specifically mentioned war veterans with PTSD as one possible example of how foolish and potentially dangerous these approaches are to the carriers.
The postmaster does not hold the employees accountable for bad behavior, and was not interested in even considering the validity of our complaints to do an appropriate root cause analysis. It was like talking to a tape recorder that simply kept looping the same lines. She also appeared unwilling to lodge any record of complaint in this employee’s personnel file, as my husband had specifically requested based on standard operating procedure in other customer service industries. Finally, note that we get deliveries from UPS and FedEx on a regular basis, and they have actually interacted with our dog.

When we go into the local Forest Acres USPS office they said they are having resource issues and are having issues getting the mail to their location. They said a new carrier was starting in our location and would be better.
USPS people from other counties have on occasion delivered packages to our house and they have told us that they are helping because our USPS county and location are having major issues. Also, if you do send something "express," it's costly, but it DOES NOT GO EXPRESS. Useless, waste of money.
Packages take a long time to reach their destinations, or they get stuck at some weird roundabout state postal location. The postal service has changed; we no longer have regular postmen, postwomen delivering packages. Now they come out of another city, not from our local P.O. They are careless and clueless. What kind of courier hand packages to random resident without any confirmation and who did they hand it to. I filled an online report with them and when they called me back, all they said was they were going to follow up with the courier that day. I never heard back from them.
Days later, I order another package, I waited for the couriers to come, I recorded the conversion and had a talk with her and she knew who I was and the situation. Apparently her manager talked to her, so it’s clear to me it’s safe to say she was the same courier that handed my package to someone random. Because they can track her route and she was the only one they talked to. Also she told me it’s her route. She knew I was on to her and she got caught so she started coming with excuses such as being off and how responsible she is with packages and always bringing it to the unit door. It is 12-23-2024 and I’m still waiting for updates on the investigation. Just found out they had close my case number so I filed another report and it’s reopening it.
