An international package landed in Sarasota, FL and was misdelivered. It says so in tracking. USPS opened a case twice, then closed it. I just got off the phone with a USPS agent and she says that it has been declared "lost". The Glengarry Post Office in Sarasota claims that there was a mistake in scanning and then they corrected it to my home address. USPS Informed Delivery still shows that it was delivered to "front desk/mail room". They have no way to find out where that is. Someone, presumably from the Glengarry Post Office, delivered it there. Once the package is declared "lost", USPS has washed its hands of it. Along with many other people serviced by Glengarry, I wrote a review on Google about the local carrier (not my regular guy, Luis -- he's great) putting an attempted delivery slip in my mailbox, even though I was home, and driving away. This happened 3 times.
Recently a mail carrier misdelivered a package, and thanks to Luis, he found it and brought it to me with an apology. If you look at Google Reviews for the Glengarry P.O. you'll see a long list of complaints about lost packages and an overall score of 1.6. I tried multiple times to call Glengarry and got a "circuit busy". Same thing happened with USPS Customer Service's phone line, although I got through today and the person I talked to was very nice, but could only say "lost" and nothing more USPS can do. She suggested talking with the shipper in Australia to see if I can get a refund, but it's not their fault! Your tracking shows it making its way through their mail system and nothing going wrong until it landed in Sarasota's USPS system.
That package landed somewhere in Sarasota, to a "front desk", so the local post office should find out from the mail carrier where that was. If he's saying he then scanned it correctly to my address, then why does USPS still show "front desk"? Your customer service agent, when told that the carrier "hit the wrong button", had no idea what that meant. Do you? The name of the carrier, or his employee number, should be associated with that package. However, it was probably erased before or after I filed a complaint. I will have to refrain from ordering from overseas businesses. Another package was delivered from Thailand, landed in the Chicago Distribution Center, and sat there for three weeks. It was a plant, and it was nothing but mush when I finally received it. The sender tried to file a claim and got nowhere.

I paid for overnight shipping, and USPS completely failed to deliver on time. My package was marked “on the truck for redelivery,” yet it never arrived. I even went to the post office to pick it up myself—the day after getting out of the hospital, with strict instructions not to drive—because I urgently needed the package. To make matters worse, USPS refuses to issue a refund since I picked it up instead of waiting for another failed delivery attempt. This is completely unfair. I paid extra for overnight service, and they did not uphold their end of the deal. It’s unacceptable to offer an “overnight” option that doesn’t actually mean overnight, especially when there’s no accountability or compassion for customers dealing with real-life situations. Do better, USPS.

I am and have been a regular customer of USPS for a long length of time and have been truly disappointed in the service especially when paying the fee for 2 day air deliveries for important deadline deliveries especially Oakland CA Processing center. Things often get held up and even lost A LOT. I am disgusted and would like them to get it together.

I paid for 3 day delivery of Halloween costumes for my grandkids, one state away. The package ended up across the country, sent there in error. The package then had to be shipped back taking many extra days. I cannot get a refund. My grandkids did not get to use their costumes for a party. This is unacceptable. How hard is it to ship a package to a nearby state???

My package was supposed to arrive between October 3rd and 7th according to eBay. According to tracking, as of today, October 23rd, I still don't have it. It has gallivanted around the country in a random way. Customer service says that they don't have to deliver it by any particular time. It could be a month late and they don't have to give a refund or any kind of money. If I was late on my PO Box I would get fined or get kicked out of my PO box. Any mistake I make with the USPS, I pay for, but they are not going to pay for any of their mistakes. I shipped another package to A customer and they returned it because they said it was all scratched and damaged from shipping. I haven't gotten that one back yet either but I'm curious to see what it looks like because I don't see how it could have gotten scratched up unless they played football with it and kicked it around the warehouse.

I hade a really bad experience at the Fruit Cove P.O. today. I went in for a refund because my next day delivery took 4 business days which cost me money. It was about 3:25pm. After waiting in line the employee informed me the person that can handle the refund was at lunch and I needed to wait. About 40 min. later she finally came out to her booth. The employee informed her that I needed a refund. She rudely told me she could not help me because she had no money.
The other employee asked her if she could give me a money order. She did not answer. Her workmate asked me if that would be alright. I said yes. Then she rudely told me to fill out this long form. I asked if I had to fill out this form just to get a refund since I had my receipt with all my information. She then snapped back, "if you want service you need to fill it out," I replied that I have not gotten any service here since my I day delivery took 4 days and I have been waiting a long time just to get a refund. She then rudely told me she would not help me. How are people like this allowed to work even for the post office????

I think the postal service in general is a failing system for the people. They claim to be a provider of mail services regardless of profitability right? So why the constant price hikes and slower deliveries. This is company needs an infrastructure remodel. Making it affordable to send mail. Trash company. Pony express was moving faster and with more care. Note: this page will not allow you to click recommend or not. So yea. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, just don't have a choice. This is why we are exploited as customers.

They raised their prices for even small packages by such an extraordinary amount, the first week of October - - "for the holidays"!!!! The tiny profit margin I count on, in my little business, has evaporated. And packages are never, ever delivered on time. That date on your receipt? The one the says when your package will arrive to its recipient? Meaningless. So we're paying more (a LOT more) for inadequate service.

Well I get mail delivered in other states. In Palm Coast Florida your packages absolutely get delivered. The question is to where? Everyday messages on neighborhood about delivered to where packages. Stand in line at the PO off of Palm Coast Parkway. Chances of them finding your package are slim and none. First response “it was delivered”, lol to where? Then they cry in their beer about it being somebody else’s fault. Supervisor/postmaster resting up for the weekend.

An employee called me back and said she had received the package out of my old box, and forwarded it to my new address. I never received it. I called the USPS about ten times, and never got anywhere. I did everything I was supposed to do from my end- filed missing mail claims, which were always denied, and then appeals, which were also denied. I sent handwritten letters to different USPS offices and never heard back. I put a hold on my mail because I was going on vacation for two weeks. I asked to have the carrier resume delivery the day after my return. After I returned, I waited for several days and did not receive any of the mail normally delivered over a two week period including my weekly magazine ($350 annual subscription). I filed a missing mail form online twice, and was subsequently contacted by a customer service rep each time and told that there was no mail being held at the local post office. I can only conclude that the post office has managed to lose all of my mail for that two week time period. Incidentally, this was in zip code 53223 and the address was the Villas at Foxwood apartments. In the past, I have received mail not addressed to me in my mailbox, usually a couple of times per month. Also, several times the post office managed to damage or completely destroy a mail item, such as a magazine. I have lost all trust in the USPS!!

I live in CA95120. In the past six months, letters from other families often appear in my mailbox. If it happened only a few times, I could regard it as a new postman and it is worthy of forgiveness, but if it happens frequently, it means that there are major management problems in the post office. Recently, the post office texted me that my prescription had been delivered to my mailbox. But the mailbox was empty. When I tried to track my prescription online with the post office, they asked me to create an account and fill out a bunch of information. Then the website said that lost mail can only be reported within 30 days after 7 days. What the hell?

This is the worst service I have experienced my entire life. I lost a certificate that will cost me $500 to replace. I almost got a heart attack before my passport and other important documents were returned. I mailed some documents oversees for interview. We ended up cancelling and rescheduling the interview because the priority mail I paid for spent three days in the US and they said it left the US and that was it. Never heard anything for 12 days now. When I call customer service I wait on the phone for sometime only for someone to come to me stories that don’t make sense. “ We will put in an inquiry and it will take 12 business days”. I spoke to one and he literally told me it’s life nothing is guaranteed.
I asked where exactly is my mail now since the last updated one was when it left the US. He told me there is no way to know where it currently is. I said you must have a contact person in the destination country because you did not just load it in the plane for it to deliver itself. He said I just have to wait and see if it delivers because it’s out of their hands now. That was the most ridiculous thing I have heard in my entire life. I blame myself for missing them when I could have easily used UPS, DHL, or FedEx.
I will never use their services again. They have no business handling peoples’ mail. I think they should restructure or just fold. If they cannot deliver people’s package safely most of the times, they have no business handling people’s mail. I’m still angry. I will never use their services again. USPS is supposedly upgrading their automated systems. If we thought they were bad before, they're absolutely horrific now. It appears they have changed their departure process as far as pickups for mail. Now they only pick up once a day at 6:30 a.m. where I live. So that means, when I bring a package in and send a priority, it won't go out until the next day, so we've already delayed a day in shipping time. Now, a critical package for a car repair on a unit that is needed for my vehicle to pass inspection is delayed. It was brought to the post office on Monday and was to be here today, Thursday. However, it's been bouncing around the Distribution Center for going on 3 days. Apparently paying for priority is useless.
So now I get to wait and hope that this delicate repaired module makes it back to me in one piece by Saturday... 5 full days after being mailed. If you want to be sure your packages will get where they're going safely and in a timely manner, I recommend you find another carrier. I'll pay more and use UPS as I have never had an issue with them. This whole situation is absolutely infuriating. If I could rate USPS with "minus" stars, I would.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with USPS. On the day they claimed to have attempted delivery, I was home all day. Yet there was, no knock, no doorbell, no notice. Instead, my package was marked as an attempted delivery. To make matters worse, the tracking update stated another attempt would be made, yet when I called, I was told I had to pick it up myself. That is not only misleading but completely unacceptable, especially since I am currently injured and unable to walk to the post office.
I even sent my father to pick up the package with all of my account information, and he was still denied the package. When I called Amazon customer support, their system stated “delivery rejected.” That is a blatant lie. USPS not only refused to deliver my package, but they also kept it essentially hostage and misrepresented every step of the process. What kind of business model is that? USPS is misleading customers, refusing service, and then covering it up with false tracking updates! This level of dishonesty and disregard for customers is appalling and unprofessional. My trust in USPS has been completely eroded, and I will be avoiding their services whenever possible.
Thankfully, Amazon was kind enough to replace the package, but I’m deeply upset this had to happen in the first place. Amazon should not have to cover for USPS’s repeated failures and dishonesty. It’s unacceptable that a company built on delivering packages cannot even manage the basics of delivery, transparency, and accountability.

USPS is horrible! We have experienced missing packages, mail opened BEFORE it was delivered, vacation Mail Holds NOT HONORED, and "someone" at USPS changed TWO things on our Informed Delivery online account -- the spelling of my FIRST NAME and the settings of our Informed Delivery notifications without our knowledge or consent! Most recently and just this year alone, we have had THREE (3) Mail Holds IGNORED by our letter carrier -- during our absence, they placed prescription medications in our CBU during hot summer months and the gel caps MELTED. I have reported each and every incident, which might explain why "someone" at USPS decided to change our Informed Delivery notifications while we were out of town! They were trying to hide their incompetence while we were gone, and they continued to shove mail AND prescription medications into our CBU! This is completely unacceptable!
BTW, if you ever experience a mystery person at USPS changing your notification settings (or changing the spelling of your name!), just sign into your Informed Delivery account, and change your settings. You DO need to change your settings in two different places on their website! Who would have ever thought USPS would try to pull this nonsense? Well, I KNOW they are incompetent, and feel the need to make others know some of what we have experienced by our poorly managed USPS.

All was a group of chargers, batteries and other digital camera stuff that people still use since many items are compatible. My point is items were missing they cause. The guy paid $40 and I had to refund him some money to make him happy and be fair and honest as I am!
I had to file insurance and thats not easy as they never were very good setting up their site at USPS. Even after they call what they think is an update. I had to refund because of what someone there did but and was their conclusion! I am really fed up with the POSTAL SERVICE. It seems like whenever I have a package, if it isn't my regular mail carrier who delivers it, then these other employees always mark my package as delivered when they were nowhere near my apartment. This is the 4th time this has happened to me and each time, which is ironic, I had a food delivery or grocery delivery coming, I always got my food and grocery deliveries at the times they claimed they delivered my package. How is it that they are able to keep marking packages as delivered when they weren't.
I have lost total and complete faith in them years ago and I also feel like, because of the area I live in, the South Shore in which was a prominent one, these people they have delivering don't like to do their jobs. And I always end up having to reach out to the companies, letting them know I didn't get it and having to get a refund. My mail carrier is great, I love her. And I don't understand why she wasn't able to deliver it with the other package she delivered? It was small enough, nothing big. I call my local postal annex. I’m told my mailman was on vacation so the person covering probably stuck it in the wrong box. Which I can actually hear a voice in the background say “Oh, I probably stuck it in the wrong box oops, hee hee”. That’s not my problem; incompetence of your employees is not my fault. The solution was to file a form for reimbursement. Which I did and I have heard nothing.
Now it’s September, still no answer on the bathing suit, but now my dog vitamins and 2 t-shirts have been “delivered” but NONE of it was in my box. I call the post master to file an official complaint. That’s 4 packages in 3 months!!?? Is my mailman taking my stuff? It’s a community mailbox! It is not being stolen unless THE POST OFFICE IS PUTTING IT IN THE WRONG BOX. Again, not my problem!!! People that do their jobs at my company don’t have jobs!
My annex is supposed to investigate my claim per the postal inspector complaint. The local annex just closed my case. They email me to contact the sender — really? It’s the sender's fault that they keep stealing or misplacing my mail???? Then they tell me to look around for hidden places. What? Again, community mailbox!!! He started screaming that he didn't know me and demanded that I leave. The postmaster witnessed it all. I asked if he stood by that. He said no and apologized. He said nothing to the clerk in front of me. It has been probably a year or so. Since the second indecent. I went in to do business. The taller male clerk was working, my southern upbringing taught me to say, "Hey, how are you doing," etc always!!! In the middle of saying how he interrupted and said loudly 'what will be?' I tried again in the middle of how he again almost screaming, "What will it be!?" I didn't say anything other than my business.
I did not thank him because I wasn't thankful because of his attitude. As I turned around he started screaming at me that I was rude and did not thank him. It took me so abbak to be personally attacked. I don't remember exactly what I said. I yelled back. I'm sure I used a cuss word. He screamed GET OUT!, IF I CAME BACK HE WOULD REFUSE ME SERVICE! I talked to the postmaster the next day at the Foley AL. Location. He works both. He said talk to him and file a report. Saw him several times in passing. Asked about progress, none reported? My latest issue involves a package that was marked as 'delivered' but was nowhere to be found. After I contacted USPS customer service (844-637-1509), an investigation was opened. I received an email from Supervisor Taramattie **confirming that the package was indeed misdelivered and is now considered irretrievable. The carrier went back but could not find it, and there is seemingly no accountability for the person who received my package by mistake.
To add insult to injury, I was told that because the package was not insured, I cannot be reimbursed, and the burden falls on me to contact the merchant for a reshipment or refund. This is absolutely unacceptable. The post office made the error, yet they take zero responsibility for it. This isn't just about a missing package; it's about a complete failure of service and a lack of accountability. Lakeville Post Office needs to do better. Please help our community.

Most recently, my attorney sent me important documentation via Priority Mail on August 28, and it has still not been delivered to my home. I filed a report, but I have received no resolution or meaningful updates. When I called customer service, I was told my package is not lost. However, when a package cannot be delivered by the guaranteed date and no one can locate it, that is the definition of lost. This has caused me significant stress and inconvenience. USPS must take responsibility for mishandled packages and the disruption it causes to people’s lives. Right now, it feels as though there is little to no accountability.
1. An immediate update on the location of my package.
2. Accountability for the repeated issues with lost mail.
3. Assurance that steps will be taken to prevent this from happening again.
This situation is unacceptable, and I urge USPS to handle this with the seriousness it deserves.

I know, I should never have sent cash in the mail, but I thought maybe, sending the envelope, "Certified," she would receive it, WRONG. This means nothing if you send something valuable through the United States Post Office. I didn't want to lose the money, but I'm more upset about the title, because I have to go through a lot more changes to replace it! If I told you about all the "Red Tape" the post office has put me through, you would never believe it.
I went to the post office from which I originally sent the envelope with receipt/tracking #. The clerk said my envelope was delivered to a business and left at a mailroom, well my daughter lives at a private residence! My daughter went to the local post office where she lives to find out if they found the envelope. They had the nerve to tell her they didn't know where it was delivered! This is supposed to be "Certified" mail, which was supposed to be signed for! All the post office could offer me for all my troubles and loss was the "Run Around" and $5 and change, not even the $7 and change I paid for the delivery, which they can keep!
All I got from the post office was an apology. I felt like they didn't care and that they were covering up for person who they must of known was supposed to deliver my envelope. I called the police department to report this incident. He said "You're better off hand delivering your packages and mail because the post office had numerous complaints against them."

I filed a complaint — simple as that. In it, I said that if they ever came back and acted like that again, I would call the sheriff to protect my mom and our property. That’s a reasonable boundary, not a threat.
Instead of addressing the problem, the USPS decided to retaliate against my mom’s hardship delivery. They stopped delivering her mail without any written notice or warning, and gave us shifting, conflicting excuses: At first, they claimed her hardship status didn’t apply because I live close by (which is not how the rules work, just look up the 1973 Rehabilitation act.). Then, they said she needed to renew the required PS 1528 form annually — which is true, but they never sent any reminder or notice, just suddenly cut off service. They dropped a blank PS 1528 form in the mailbox addressed only to “The [REDACTED] Family,” with no explanation or postage, basically demanding compliance without communication. I escalated the issue to the USPS Office of Inspector General. The very next day, my mom’s mail delivery was restored — no apology, no explanation, just back to normal as if nothing happened.
This isn’t about whether I or anyone else can just “go get the mail.” It’s about a federal agency abusing its power and weaponizing an essential service to retaliate against someone who dared to hold them accountable for their employee’s behavior. Mail delivery isn’t a convenience here — it’s a lifeline. For elderly and disabled people, hardship delivery can mean the difference between safely receiving medication, bills, and legal notices, or putting themselves at risk to get those essentials. Why should she have to wait to get her meds until I get off work, or have the time to go by her house?
If government employees can cut off essential services because they don’t like being called out, that’s a violation of not only common decency but potentially federal disability rights under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. So please, before you say “just go pick it up yourself,” understand that this is about accountability, rights, and protecting vulnerable people from retaliation disguised as bureaucracy.

They are clearly lazy and will not take the steps to leave package per directions written on metal sign or to take few steps or drive to my locked gate to leave package there per instructions. Instead they actually left package AT the sign, unreal!!! Also, It is a hunt to find package as it is always sitting in weeds, dirt, rain or snow! And since when did USPS STOP Leaving slips in your mail box to go pick package up at the south side postal annex? That way you actually got your package!! Apparently staff does not want to be bothered at the post office "ANNEX" to give your package to you face to face. This is simply atrocious. And mail has been left 1 mile down the road at someone else's home whom called me, more than once. Or they put other people's mail in my box.
Furthermore, they know mail is being stolen out of mailboxes for the last 2 years plus and have come to know resolution for that as they do not want to spend the money for alternatives which was told me verbatim. Causing one to purchase their own locked mail box for $200... Lastly look at the cost of stamps and or to mail package they weigh and measure, NOT cheap!!

It cost $17.00 plus "shipping." No recovery.
Most recently a package I really really needed (cost $10.00 delivery fee) was sent USPS. 7b days later it was in Nashville, TN, I live in a Nashville suburb, where it remained for 2 days. The expected delivery date, I check the site again, and guess what? They shipped it to Columbus Ohio (379 miles north of Nashville.) The small package sat there "processing" ( a joke) for 2 days. If at all possible, I highly recommend you avoid the USPS LaVergne TN Post Office for all of your postal and delivery needs. If you happen to receive poor, unprofessional service; and file a USPS complaint online against any of the staff, you can expect to receive retaliatory and intentional mishandling/misdelivering of your mail, "losing" your mail, or leaving your mail in the weather to be destroyed. I have dealt with this type of unprofessional, childish behavior from the LaVergne Post Office for years. I have filed multiple complaints with both the State and Federal government(s); yet nothing permanent is ever done. And if you have important mail or valuable items to mail; or if you are expecting important/valuable items to be delivered to your residence, I would STRONGLY recommend (based upon my experience) that you choose another (more proven and reputable) service.
It IS NOT unusual for merchandise to "disappear" at this Post Office; yet somehow appear on their postal records as "allegedly delivered." It may take a little extra time, but you can avoid a great deal of frustration if you choose a different carrier/delivery provider who is mature, professional, courteous, kind, knowledgeable, and doesn't act as if they are doing you a favor when you simply ask for your mail to be handled and delivered appropriately. I know this may be difficult for the elderly who may not have any other options; but I hope others will help them if they have experienced the wrath of this Post Office. This sentiment is also noted by other persons who have unfortunately experienced the LaVergne TN Post Office. Quite frankly, the federal government needs to seriously audit and do a sweep of this Post Office; because they obviously have too much time on their hands to be rude and retaliatory against the very customers whose taxes pay their salaries!

The USPS branch in Gordo, Al is a prime example of why I hate seeing one penny took from my check for taxes. Not including military or police, more often than not tax money is wasted on stupid projects or people that have no accountability. In July 3, I went to the location in Gordo, Al to see why I wasn't getting my weekly pay stubs from work. I was also concerned about some mail I was expecting. On the first attempt, I found a lady texting on her phone. Eventually, she told me she'd be with me in a minute. After telling her about my check stub and hoping my debit card and vehicle title wouldn't end up in the same place, I had to explain what a title was. Then she said come back at 1 and see Jessica. So I did.
When Jessica was told, her response wasn't "What address is this?", or "How long has this been going on?", it was "We can't do anything about it!". So I asked if she even had any concern at all. All she did was come up with excuses. Now, I can understand there are issues like this that are hard, if not impossible to fix. A claim [which includes the base insurance] is not paid by USPS as they denied it. And their own denial notification postal mail is lost! Please, do not use this service if you are sending anything valuable. Very unreliable service.

I was waiting for a package that needed a signature. I made sure I was home so as to not miss the delivery. It was raining off and on. When I tracked the package it said: attempt made no access to delivery location. In other words the person delivering did not want to get off his vehicle to come to the door and knock. I wish they would have sent it through UPS or FedEx. I would definitely have gotten my package. I live in Boerne Tx but the reviews for this area are so bad that I decided to review the USPS in general...

They consistently deliver my packages late. This would not be a problem if it was a once in a while thing, but consistently every time I order a package and they are chosen, they either misplaced my package and send it to the wrong place or are late. I don’t understand why they give me a specific date if there is no way they can possibly get it there in that time. I was told that my package would be here today and it has said that for a week and it just left Florida, I am in Kentucky. This is ridiculous. And it happens so consistently that it has become a nightmare every time that somebody chooses to ship with USPS.

The United States Postal Service is usually quite reliable. I believe it only has such horrible reviews on here since people only think of their service once it’s not working as usual. My mail is typically delivered on time, undamaged, and to the correct address, much more frequently than other package delivery services. I’ve lived all over the country and have typically not had issues with the USPS. Thank you for all you do, USPS!

We used to get the paper on Thursday then it got to be Friday, a Thursday and even Monday. Now we haven’t received last Wednesday's paper the 8 days ago. Today, I had the distinct pleasure of receiving truly outstanding service from Ivana during my passport renewal process. Initially, I was directed by the State Department to a different post office in Fredericksburg, where I had a less than satisfactory experience (600 Princess Anne St, Fredericksburg VA 22401). Despite having an appointment, the interaction was unhelpful (the ruddiest) and left me feeling frustrated, disrespectful and misinformed.
Fortunately, I contacted the State Department again, who then directed me to the post office just a block from my home (15 Litchfield, Fredericksburg 22406). It was there that I encountered **, and her assistance was nothing short of remarkable. Even though it was nearing the end of her shift (almost 3:00 PM), she willingly and graciously offered to help me, ensuring my application was correctly processed. Her proactive offer of assistance, when I was prepared to return another day, demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to public service.
** exemplified a true public service mindset. I observed her interact with not only myself but also other customers, patiently offering detailed explanations and dedicating the necessary time to each individual. Her willingness to go above and beyond, coupled with her professionalism and clear communication, made a significant difference. Without her dedicated support today, I am confident I would have faced further delays or rejection of my application. Her exceptional dedication and genuine desire to help others are truly commendable. I firmly believe that individuals like Ivana, who consistently demonstrate such a high level of service and care, are natural leaders whose approach should be emulated by others. My sincere gratitude goes to ** and the entire team at this post office for their professionalism and support. I feel incredibly fortunate to have met her today.

These are very important documents that not only didn't get to the location on time but who knows when my package will arrive. I do not recommend any business use their service. You might think just because you're paying for the Priority or higher service that you will be better taken care of. That is not the case. The extra $14-30 you spend with UPS or FedEx is worth it in the end. Just bad overall. My customer's have to pay more for shipping because we cannot rely on USPS. If you are mailing cheap product that holds no value, I can see using them. Just mail another item. If you are shipping items that hold value or will cost you big if lost, save your time. Do not use Postal.
$500 value item shipped less than 2 hours driving distance. 24 days later after numerous phone calls, service requests, and a claim, the package was located in another state. It took me 4 agents to help have this package returned to sender. I lost out on the sale and had to give my customer a full refund. It cost $20 to have the package returned to me. It's unfortunate that there's still cases in shipping that force you to use USPS. Over the course of 2018 I counted a total of 14 packages that were either: lost in transit, lost at a center, or marked as delivered and never showed up. I stopped using them entirely until this year, where I needed to ship something both extremely fragile and valuable to a PO box. Go figure, it's once again been sent to a distribution center nowhere near where I live, and missed the delivery date by a longshot. Few days and still no updates. Honestly feels sometimes that the dedicated mailman of kowloon walled city would have an easier time doing this than USPS seems to. That said, USPS usually DOES deliver the mail. The USPS call center is clearly designed to prevent customer to representative interaction. The sequencing that one has to go through to get to a representative is maddening. The slightest noise or breath into the phone causes the system to restart. This is not due to the phone but the call system itself. The system seems designed to frustrate the caller into hanging up. We just made a same-city move to a new home and submitted a change of address request months ago and the USPS still can’t get our mail straight. The USPS has caused us the greatest stress in our move. When medications take weeks to get to us after multiple calls, it is totally unsatisfactory. Clearly tax payer money is being spent on avoiding customer interaction and satisfaction rather than efficiency. IMHO, the USPS is the biggest waste of the taxpayers hard-earned money.
