I have not received any personal mail for about 6 weeks- 4 letters from states(2 from Minneapolis, 1 from Pennsylvania and 1 from Indiana) and 2 from Ireland...some containing photos and 1 containing a check. I have a business post office box. There were problems with mail a few months ago and I found out that two men who had worked in a local post office were picked up in Dallas. Now I hear that anyone who wants to, can work at our local p.o.Now what do I do? My friends/family cannot get to P.o. to certify/register mail.I would like to get my personal mail and if there is theft/scams going on, I would like to know about it. Thanks!

I would like to be able to use and trust people who work with mail, but this is ridiculous...try to stop whatever is going on...or I may have to get a local investigator on the job.

An Aunt from England sent a package to me by Air Sure a registered safe way to send items. It contains items of extreme personal value that belonged to my Grandmother who died this year. It also contained money but that being insured is a liability that my Aunt can at least get her money back from. As you can imagine the personal items from my late Grandmother can never be replaced, cards I wrote to her as a little girl (I am 41)letters about my travels etc.

The local office and delivery person say that a key was put in our mail box and it never was. This is not the first time my mail has gone missing or indeed where I have had to chase a parcel down. It is also not only I who suffers as all my neighbors have had ongoing experiences with mail in wrong boxes etc. The previous delivery person was so bad they moved her, who knows where and now the current one is doing no better as many of my neighbors can testify. I am not hopeful of ever getting this package particularly with the sorry nothing can do we delivered so your problem attitude of the local office and delivery person.

However having spent the day crying and not knowing how I am going to tell my Aunt the parcel is gone, I just cannot sit by and do nothing. If this does nothing else, if it can at least at some point along with all the other complaints about USPS, be the trigger for something to be done and investigated. This was not a parcel sent without due care but my Aunt bless her nor indeed I can follow the delivery person to make sure they put a key or the parcel in the right place.

There appears to be no other explanation then the key was put in the wrong place, again! Or perhaps the delivery person is just not delivering, how about that for a possibility! This person has been caught lying about knocking on doors to deliver signature needed mail, not just by me but also my neighbors. But we had as it would appear still do, no recourse on this as its USPS word against our own. I certainly do not have my late Grandmothers effects in my possession and it is possible some uncaring thoughtless person has the package instead of returning it to me directly or the mail delivery person, if indeed the key was put in the wrong mail box. But even if that is the case the buck stops at the mail delivery person continually putting mail in the incorrect boxes. When do they have to take responsibility for doing a bad job, just like the rest of the world has to when they do. What recourse do consumers we have for such poor service, when all that is required is a check of an address against a mail box number and putting it in the right place. Hardly rocket science!

The emotional damage this has caused is immeasurable. The finacial loss remains to be seen and will be fully known when claims are complete.

Three packages are missing. Two that I sent out and one that was sent to me. I've heard from several other people that the Philadelphia Facility has a big problem involving lost items. Lodging a complaint with the local PO and calling the customer complaint line is useless. They just tell me that they put the package in a bag and send it out. The most frustrating thing about this whole problem is that no one cares to even let their higher ups know that there is a problem, even when they've heard from numerous people. I guess I must now pay extra for insurance for everything that I send out. I'd rather not use the USPS at all since this doesn't solve the problem.

I have to replace the merchandise that I sent to the two people. I am out the money I spend for the package that was coming to me.

I was standing in line waiting to send my husband a box. He is currently in Iraq. The male cashier asked me if I had a customs form and I said that I didnt know that I needed one. He said that Obviously I wasnt ready and sent me to fill out the form. I told the woman cashier that I didnt know I needed a customs form for an APO address and the male cashier who helped me earlier shouted from across the room, I told you that you need the form, Why would I lie to you? I told him I didnt say he lied to me, just that I wasnt aware of a customs form being needed for an APO. He once again shouted, I told you you needed a customs for, Why would I lie to you?

He was VERY VERY rude and very loud. I didnt know you needed a customs form for an APO and I was just making sure I actually did need to fill it out. I wasnt questioning his character. He was a huge jerk and I refused to send my package through that USPS. I will need to go to a different post office.

The damage is that I will need to drive over 20 miles to a different post office because that one man was a huge jerk. No way will I ever go there again. That post office is closest to work and I'll now need to go to one across town.

I am a disabled person and the postal workers do not pick up my mail or deliver it most of the time. I have to go to the post office and pick up my mail. This has been going on for over a year now. The mail people say that they can't deliver my mail because I have dogs. I have had the same dogs for over 12 years. They have never bitten anyone. My mail box is outside of my fence, not in my yard where the dogs are.

I live at the end of a dead end street and even when I am out in my yard like today the postal employee did not come to my house to pick up my outgoing mail even though my flag was up or deliver my mail, yet again. I have had the postal supervisor out here and she agreed with me that there was no reason for my mail not to be picked up and delivered. That was months ago and still no mail. Please let me know what I should do. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I have been ordering samples from the internet and they are not being received. When I contact the companies they say that the stuff has been shipped. I have stuff missing almost daily. I ordered stuff in June 2008 that still hasn't shown up and we are talking about 40 or 50 items that were ordered and has not made it from just the month of June. I can't see that many companies saying they sent out the stuff and not it showing up.

Someone throught the post office along the way has to be stealing. I would appreciate someone letting me know how this can be resolved or stopped since I request samples daily from the internet and do not receive them when they are shipped via postal mail. Most everything I order online comes via US Postal. I am not pleased with this so far. I thought I could rely on the US postal service not for my mail to just disappear and never show up. Thanks

Once they ship the samples you can not get another one sent to you. I have ordered alot of things to try out before I buy now I can't do that.

They need to correct the address as it is listed with the home owners as box 16 and the post office began to refuse delivery due to their own problem. I have now been sent to collections for a bill that I did not receive!!!! Why can't they just do their job and stop blaming me or the fact that they tell someone they are box 16, but then tell you (way down the line) that it's incorrect and we must stop doing this. doing What? Placing the address we were provided on our mail? Please call me so that I can clarify this very confusing situation. But this Post office is so ill-ran.

It's always the consumers fault-is how they act. I have been sent to a collection agency, which affects my credit, for a bill I never received, several notices and other mail that they refuse to forward to my forwarding address, which was submitted!!! Ugh.

I called the phone number above about 8 or 9 times in the past month. I am getting no assistance to find out what happened to my package and to get it to me. The package made it to PA and then went back to CA where it has been lost since 7/29/08. I need this book ASAP or money back so I can reorder one. It was mailed Media Mail and the sender did not receive it back either.

I am out $91.35 and I had to put my schooling back 4 weeks. I cannot put school back again, because of financial aid reasons. I don't even know if I can order the book for that price again. Not to mention the lack of urgency on the USPS side.

In June I sent my daughter in Greenwood, IN a card with pictures and money in it. She never received it. I dealt with a Lena (I think that was her name). She gave me a lecture about how the consumer needs to take the responsibilty. I then talked to a gentleman named Eldon that was a Postal investigator. Basically, I was told [too bad]. Well, now just 2 months later, my daughter sent me a letter last week and I have not received it as of yet and she mailed it early in the week. She sent out a bill that same day at the same time and it has been received and the check has already cleared the bank.

I feel that someone is indeed stealing the mail and removing the cash. (The first time I lost $20 and this time $140.) I am finding that we should never send anything in the mail. I do not suspect our local postal employees. I do however, feel that the problem lies either at the distribution areas. I am really getting angry with these situations and the fact that no one is doing anything about it makes me even more angry.

Who do I need to talk to to get these cases solved? I feel there is a dishonest person or persons stealing from the ones that they feel must have cash in them. Any response to this problem or a person that I can contact would certainly be appreciated. I do intend to pursue this since it has happened twice in the last two months.

When I called the 800 number the woman flatly advised me that I would have to contact the company as it was addressed incorectly. This is not true! I checked and, I've been down this road with them before. I spent all that time calling and visiting both Holiday and Tarpon Springs post offices three years ago to rectify this same problem.

In truth, I have received items from regular packages to everyday mail for the last two years and thought the problem was solved. I even received beads from China and Tektite from Vietnam. However, this 'When we feel like it' postal service in Pasco and Pinellas County Florida is the worst I've ever been forced to endure. Financially, I have contacted the Space Bag site to ask if they would try a reship with UPS. I want a direct reimbursemnt from the Post Office for my shipping that I paid and possibly shipping for UPS. Yes, I as countless others are DONE with the 'ole pony express'! How can they automatically do that before my PO Box is expired?

Because of this I never got my check and need to appeal now with the state to get a new check sent which has caused A LOT of inconvenience, bounced checks, etc. I paid lots of money in bounced check fees since the check I was expected did not make it to my PO Box.

I have worked for [company] for over 7 years. Throughout this time, and I'm told for years before, our building is repeatedly missed when it comes to pick-up or delivery of mail. Our regular carrier does a good job, but any time he is on vacation or out for the day, a substitute carrier doesn't seem to be able to find the building. At least, that is what the supervisor at the Post Office tells me. She asked whether the building sat back down a lane or behind another building. No, it is a nice large building right on the street where it has sat since 1962. No apologies are ever made, only excuses. No improvement is made, nor any attempt to do so as far as we can determine.

This is causing the company a lot of headaches and extra expense due to having to pay late fees for mail that should have been picked up and may sit here for days before it is. Or customer checks are late getting here because they are not delivered. Thus their material is late getting to them, causing bad feelings and lost revenue to all parties concerned. We have tried all sorts of efforts to get this matter improved, but no one seems to care. They seem to get their pay-checks regardless of the service rendered. Someone needs to shake them up and make them realize what a serious problem this is!

Government tax forms are late being postmarked because the mail isn't picked up. Customers who send checks or orders for materials do not receive their orders on time because the mail isn't delivered. This can cause thousands of dollars lost by us and our customers.

I am a property manager. When I took over the job, I instructed all the tenants to use their complete address including apartment numbers. I made a list of the current tenants and personally handed it to a carrier who told me that this was his route. I also put the names of all the tenants on the mailboxes. I marked each Box on the outside with the Alph letter corresponding to the apartment. I have GONE OUT OF MY WAY to make the life of this postal employee easy. The apartment only has FOUR UNITS. It is not a huge complex.

On August 18, 2008, I mailed a letter from 97304 to 97301. On August 25 it was returned to me marked ATTEMPTED NOT KNOWN. I have the letter and it was a typewritten address with a barcode. It was important information that I needed to get to the tenant. It didn't happen. I had to make a special trip to deliver this information to the tenant when it never arrived.

It seems like the service that the USPS provides gets worse by the day. I have similar problems with my own mail at home. It is being returned also. I am tired of it and will begin to find other ways to get things delivered which is going to cost more money. But at least it will be something that I can depend on. What is going on here with the USPS?

But when I went to pick it up they can't find that registered mail.

How in the world can you lose registered mail. If a mail carrier loses registered mail they get suspended. Why is it that the clerks in the office can lose very important mail and not be in any trouble at all? [They] should give them the same threat of suspention or worse as do the carriers so they have strong incentive to NOT LOSE REGISTERED MAIL!

Letter contained important documents obtained only in another country. To replace, my 75 year old father will need to travel all day by bus, spend another full day in line to replace the documents, then spend another day traveling back just to replace the documents that were in the registered mail, not to mention the extra costs involved.

Unknown mail (to the carrier) is dropped in the hallway. Today there were atleast 10 pieces of mail that should have been delivered to an office in the next building. Probably 10 pieces of other mail have been in the hallway for for a week and belong in another building. I always check the mail on the floor in the hall because I always find mail he didn't deliver to me. This is not true with all of the carriers, just a couple.

After going through five people she was able to reach a supervisor who said that USPS uses FEDEX for priority mail and cannot guarantee 2-3 days delivery although I paid $11 for two letters. This is not the first time that this has occurred. I think post employees are overpaid government employees who are unable to deliver the goods. Why not contract out the entire USPS to a private entity and then may be someone could be held accountable - which is lacking in USPS. I was unable to track where the envelopes were using the USPS website. I have not heard from the postmaster at Churchville.

Well, what do you know, my landlord calls my roommates and I on August 15th saying he never got the envelope. This evelope was being mailed from Belmont to Cambridge, the next town over.

I really don't understand how someone cannot do a simple task that we taxpayers pay them to do and deliver the mail. Even if the wrong zip code was put on it, it should show up somewhere or be returned to sender or something. It is the end of August and I still have no idea where this envelope is.

This has caused me great economical hardship. I had to take my next paycheck that was going to used for other bills, food, etc and pay the landlord because he waited until the day he claims he has to make a deposit in his bank to tell us he did not receive the rent. My roommates suffered emotional and some economical stress because they had to pay to put stop payments on thier checks and I had to go fill out a form at the post office to trace that money order.

The bills that I owe are calling my left and right and even calling my parent's house. I will not know anything until almost 2 months from now. I had to go around trying to borrow whatever little change I can get out of friends and family just have grocery in my house. I still await to hear back to see if the money order was cashed. I spend quite a bit of money shipping and feel as though, as a valued customer of USPS, I should be treated as such. First my complaint is about an employee of the Postal Service who has one two separate occasions refused to accept my mail, packages! My packages were completely within regulations of USPS. I sometimes print my shipping labels the night before for the next day shipping. While I know there is an option to choose the shipping date, sometimes, since I am shipping them the very next morning before 12 pm. ( usually within 12 hours) I do not change the date, I admit, sometime I inadvertently forget to do so.

However I have never attempted to ship anything which is over 1 day old. NEVER! The last incident which occurred on Aug 20 involved a package which was labeled and printed by Click and Ship on the 19th. ,and was refused by MRS c. for shipping on the 20th befroe 212 noon. There were two similar incidents before the one I am about to explain, but I will give you the details of the last incident only, which occured on Aug. 20th. Before I do so, I would like to add that I use 4 different Post offices in my area (I live in an Urban area in which there are many Post offices), and deal with several different postal Employees and have never , not even on one occasion, had my packages even looked at for dates, nether alone turned away because they was dated the day before. I feel if it is a rule then it should be enforced by everyone in the postal service, since no one else has ever even approached me about it. i feel Mrs. C. is SINGLING me out.

No. 1 , I feel she is extremely prejudice against white people. This was and has been my first and very LASTING impression of Mrs. C. since i first went to that PO branch. No. 2. I feel she is extremely condescending, and when I complained, she just shrugged me off and said if i didn't like it to make a formal complaint. No.3. I feel she has no right as USPS employee to refuse packages, which none of her PIER have ever refused. Even at the same branch! I have dropped packages off on several occasions at that branch and no one but Mrs. Carter has turned my packages away because they were dated the night before. To me that is like saying, if I make a card out to say, My daughter for her birthday, and I carry it in my purse overnight. that I cannot mail it the nexty day. I feel Mrs c. is being discriminatory,

I also feels that she is taking USPS matters into her own hands by refusing legitimately packaged and labeled packages. I feel singled out because I have never, ever had this problem at any other branch, or from any other employee, even at the Franklin Mills Branch whre this occurred.i have dropped several packages off there on several different occasion, no one from that branch or any branch have ever turned my packages away.

I believe personally that MRS Carter does not want to bothered accepting Click and Ship packages. On this occasion, on The 20th of Aug. I had 6 packages dated the 20th, and one dated the 19th, all the packages exacly the same in white poly envolopes. And she said she could not accept the one dated the 19th. i therefore had to go to another PO. in a completely different direction, using added gas and added time. I don't know Mrs Carter on a personal level, but I feel very insulted as a customer and I feel as though I should be able to drop my legitimately posted packages off at any branch of my choice.

Economic damage is that I have to use more gas, and spend more time to drive to a less convenient branch of the USPS.. since I run my own small, home based business which requires a lot of shipping. I have to keep my expenses and overhead at a minimum, and save money when ever I can. Gas is expensive and I would like to have the convenience of dropping my packages off at any Post office or post office branch of my choice. Time is also a factor, since I work alone, and do quite a volume of business for one person, time is always a factor. Again I need to be able to drop off at any Post office or branch which is convenient. And not feel singled out or tuned away for any illegitimate reason.

First of all I feel I should let you know that I am a Letter Carrier for the Postal Service. I love my job and what I do. This is not a one time happening. It has happened continually throughout my dealings with the Postal Service as a customer. Two years ago my youngest daughter moved to Anchorage, Alaska. We have exchanged Christmas, birthday, wedding, and other information via the Postal Service. It's taken one and a half weeks for her to receive a postcard. Two weeks to receive pictures I've sent her and for some strange reason I will receive stuff from Anchorage before my oldest daughter who lives in San Diego does.

The most recent incident is the one that has finally done it. My birthday WAS yesterday August 20th. Stephanie sent me a priority insured package from Anchorage LAST Wednesday August 13th. I have not received it yet. I sent her a package from Oceanside, Ca., on the same day priority Delivery Confirmation. Stephanie received her package on Saturday August 16th. My boyfriend who always brags about U.P.S. also sent me a present U.P.S. on August 13th. I received that package on Monday. The Postal Service had Betty from my local Post Office contact me about my package informing me that they haven't received it yet. I know that!

I know that the problem is not at the local level. I have full trust in MY local office and Letter Carrier that if the package comes into the local office it will get delivered! They do not sit on priority packages! Why does the Post Office keep putting the responsible on the local delivery office when the focus should me on the plants that handle the packages in transit! Where is the quality control. Does the U.S. Postal Service expect my local delivery post office to pull my package out of a magic hat?

I apologize to my Oceanside Post Office because they will be the office getting the brunt end on this one from upper management. I have a very good Mailman. I appreciate his hard work and I can definitely tell when he is on vacation. My daughter who lives in San Diego has also had items she ordered not received at all! Ever! needless to say she now uses U.P.S. as my boyfriend does. I am also going to patron U.P.S. and Federal Express. I work for the United States Postal Service but cannot endorse their service as they cannot even deliver for their own employees!

I had over 175.00 worth of items in box that had glass on them as well as some liquid from a gift (snow globe). I really put alot of faith in the postal people to deliver the gifts as they were mailed, and to my dissapointment they were not.

I had them wrapped and wonder how they could have got broken unless they were handle as if the fraigle stamp was not seen...or not taking into consideration. As of this being my 2nd broken paakage sent in 6 months I am losing trust in the job that my postal service is doing, still I have to use them to get mail sent to family. I guess I will have to buy a box 3 sizes bigger from now on and waste money wrapping it more to prevent this from happening again.

We had our mail held for 10 days, and when the hold was lifted we started to receive only junk mail. 10 days after the resume delivery date, we received a large portion of mail that contained bills that were held by the post office so long they were over due. This could not have been an error on our part, as we began receiving mail on the correct date, just not all of our mail. We now have to call our local utility companies and explain to them why we had not paid our bills on time.

Past due bills result in late fees and lower credit scores.

We have a delivery confirmation # but all it says is that the package was delivered in Streetboro but it does not confirm an address and there was no signature required. Both the sender and I have contacted the respective Post Offices. I spoke to Peggy at the Streetsboro branch and was told there is nothing they can do.

The cost to replace the handpiece is $600 plus tax. We have been short one handpiece for over 2 months now. This in turn slows our production because we have to wait for our other handpieces to be sterilized. I have spent a tremendous amount of time researching what happened, making phone calls to Post Offices and talking to Roger with Hayes Northcoast. The frustration of the situation lead to a heated argument between Roger and I, which in turn has destroyed our business relationship. Neither one of us is at fault. my complaint goes deep because not only did they not say on fri i could not pick up the mail any other day like the next day saturday. the lady this day sat made me believe it was on the truck and would be deliverd but this was not the case. no mail came and this is unfair. i understand mail may run at 5pm daily but no mail ran for me saturday and this is unfair and again the man lied he said he has to still sort through the mail. but when he came around the corner at the poist office he said specifically are you waiting on a check. we can not give them over the counter.

the usps mail system 48th and southeastern station really needs investigation. if he is so hurt then why is he working. we should not have to wait all day for mail and if he is behind which i am sure the carrier was saturday they do not run can a tax payer like me be treated fair and yes i will get a po box on the other side of town because this same man gave me the run arounds on my mail upon first moving to the neighborhood by not replacing my lock so i could get my mail until he took it upon himself to fix it and this was on a day when i took off to meet him to make sure it was done.

We have been contacted by the Phone Co., the Power Co. and several government agencies that they had our mail returned. We contacted the local post master and he just laughed and told us that it had to be something we were doing wrong because they always deliver our mail. I called everyone that notified us of Returned Mail and in every single case the address was correct. Since we called and complained the only piece of mail we have received was the address confirmation sent by the US Post Office (what a surprise)... I am at a lost as to what to do next.

I have been waiting for almost 6 weeks for my unemployment card from a bank. They have sent it twice now and it was returned to them. So, I am without funds since my layoff 2 months ago (a very desperate situation). My wife had to visit the food-stamp office twice to pick up items that were returned and I had to go by the unemployment office 3 times now. I have started a new job where they use payroll cards and I have yet to see my card (it has been over the 10-days required for delivery and they have told me that they are putting a trace on it). Now I cannot get paid unless I wait 2 weeks each pay period for a mailed check. Well, that is of course if I even receive that which I doubt very seriously. I KNOW for a fact it is the carrier that is mad at us for complaining and he/she is not delivering out mail. We live in the country and none of our neighbors are having this problem. I have gotten calls from at least five companies saying that my mail was being returned to sender for different reasons. The most recent reason is it said that I had moved and left no return address. I have lived here for over seven years.

She has dropped off my mail to my neighbors house and she has dropped off other peoples mail to me. We have walked over the mail to who it belongs to and my neighbor has brought ours to us before as well when its close. My husband once caught the mail person and handed them back the mail that was not ours and they apologized.

We called and spoke with the supervisor there and also called the main number three times. They have done nothing to prevent this from reoccuring. I have had to go out of my way to make sure none of my bills get sent to my house because if so I will not get them. I even had problems with the irs because we didn't recieve something they sent us the first time. One company sent checks to me weekly for six months and every one got sent back. Since then Ive had my stuff set up direct deposit. It just seems to me that the person either is not able to read the addresses of the mail she is putting in boxes or she is just stuffing them wherever in order to be done faster. It happens constantly so it has to be more than a fluke

I have had to jump through hoops to get most of my super important things sent other ways. I only seem to have a problem with incoming mail. I have only had a problem with one outgoing package ever which is strange considering I have such a huge issue getting my mail.

Well, my dogs (2 chihuahuas and a terrier) were not outside on the day that she stated, and I have witnesses to that, so she lied. This year in July my dogs barked at her (from my second-story deck) and she stopped not only my mail this time, but also my downstairs neighbor's mail also.

I went up to the Post Office to see if I could get my mail, and they told me that I had to sign a paper stating that my dogs will not be unrestrained "during normal delivery hours".....I asked the woman at the counter what those were and she said 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. She also rolled her eyes and told me that this carrier has a lot of dog holds..and after talking to people in my town of 2,500 she has a lot of cat holds too.

I refused to sign the paper that stated the "normal delivery hours" and could not get any of my mail, which will probably be sent back. My neighbor refuses to get a PO box, so his mail is also going to be sent back. The lying that I have come across from this post office is unfathomable. What really gets to me is that the mail carrier knows my name and where I live, and I have no clue who she is or where she came from. What steps does one take to get a person's mail. I really don't care much to pay federal taxes for a person's pay when they do things like this, and really don't want her anywhere around me or my dogs or my home.

I could understand this policy applying to us if it meant that the mail carrier would have to change his route, but he actually already drives right by our mailbox every day. It's ridiculous and frustrating.

To make matters worse, until we called to ask why we weren't getting our mail, apparently the carriers were just returning all our mail to the senders. I have no idea why they felt that was necessary, but it causes huge headaches for us. Most of the senders will probably not contact us about the returned mail, so we'll never know what all we missed.

Because of the returned mail, we haven't received our city permit to operate a monitored security system, so we are unsecured in our home. Hopefully nothing will catch fire during the time it will take to track down that permit. The buyer received the item damaged and said that it had looked like the item had fallen out of the box and that it had been put back in. I purchased insurance before delevery and when notified of items damage I filled a insurance claim with my local post office with no problems. I was instructed to have the buyer drop off the item at his local post office (Geneva). I was told that I should have my check for the insurance claim 30 days later. 30 days went by with no check so I called the insurance claim department to check the status they told me that they have not gotten proof the buyer dropped the item being dropped off at his local post office (Geneva). I called them and they said that they remember the item being dropped off and that the Post Office employee Derek would have been in charge of submitting the damage report.

I have called Derek several times to see if he submitted the damage report yet. I finally got ahold of derek and he stated that he did not have the item and that he is having the employees look around the building for it and that he would call me back. I have not gotten a phone call back yet so I contacted the buyer to ask him if he still had the receipt and he said that he discarded it due to how much time had elapsed and figured that there would not be a problem. He also stated that when he dropped the item off there was a bunch of indians working there and that they did not seem to know what they were doing.

I am really frustrated at this point it is now the middle of July and I opened the claim back in April and have had to reopen the claim in June after being closed due to none response from the post office about the damage. Its now August and I called derek and was told that they found the item and sent it to saint louis where the insurance claims is and I then called the insurance place and was told that he was not supposed to send the item anywheres and that he was just supposed to submit a damage report and than keep the item there until instructed otherwise.

I tried to call derek back for a week to make sure that he submited the damage report and he has not called me back at all. I am very frustarated because the post office had the item the whole time and I have had to spend a lot of time trying to get them to look for it and they find it and then do not do there job right once again. I feel that I should be compensated for all of my time I have had to waste trying to get this post office to do its job.

Besides being afraid to go to the post office anymore because of being screamed at by a postal worker for using a label I had printed out the night before (so it was written as the previous day); and not to mention all the lost packages and mail. I am a student at UMD College Park, and I have moved a couple times since. The first time I moved it took 5 tries in sending in the change of address form, and even walking into there and filling it out and they still lost it.

Not only that, but even 5 identical change of address forms later and 10-20 phone calls lasting 10 minutes to two hours (there's a lot of money in minutes, since they are only open during peak cell phone hours), they still sent my mail to the previous address, even after successfully getting the change of address through. I can't do the new online thing because I don't have a credit card.

Now I have sent two change of address forms and it had been two weeks since I moved to my current address, and still no mail. I called in and they told me there was nothing in their system, to which I replied am I going to have to do this 5 times again, to which the rude woman said I guess so, sir. I feel it is futile to try to get my mail anymore, and I am getting sick and tired of this. In Clarksville and Gaithersburg I never had any problems with mail. I need some serious authority to get my mail please!

I have lost money from lost packages, because I refunded the customers their money; and who knows what problems I encounter with all the lost mail, and non-forwarded mail. Then there is the countless hours spent on the phone trying to figure out what to do, like my mail never getting here and so-forth.

I sent a package through this store and insured it for $3,500. The store clerk said that the package was well packed and that the insurance would cover any damage. The package was shipped and one week later the re-conditioning company requested that I send the additional parts per their original shipping instructions. After some discussion it was discovered that the package had been repacked. The only reason that we found this out was that the shipping paperwork was found to be inside the box. I had originally taped it to the outside of the box. The re-finisher commented that they thought it was strange that the envelope was covered in tape on one side.

Upon discovering that the box they received wasn't the same box that was shipped; I contacted the UPS store that handled my box. They filed a claim after taking my information. I waited several weeks for feedback on the claim. I finally had to go to the store and inquire about the status. They informed me that the claim was denied because the re-finisher didn't have the box. I then asked why I wasn't contacted. I was told that it was the store that filed the claim and that is who would get the response. I called UPS for more information regarding the claim and was e-mailed a response that they were not responsible and that I would have to deal with the UPS store.

My biggest issue is that UPS never marked the box as re-packaged which would have allowed the claim to be filed before the box was thrown away. The second issue that I have is the way UPS has advertized the insurance as true protection, when in fact very few claims ever get settled. And the final issue I have is the way the company is organized to protect the holding company that is actually handling the boxes and by using a third party insurance adjustor to review the claims.

What I shipped was a supercharger to my car. It is no longer supported by the original manufacturer and all the parts are no longer in stock. This supercharger is not replaceable and can only be rebuilt by the re-finisher in Oklahoma. I have been without the use of my car for over 3 months. I have been in contact with the original manufacturer, the original sub-component supplier, and various distributers for those manufacturers for two months. I have spent close to a thousand extra dollars of my money to find, purchase, and manufacture the missing parts. Additionally, I have spent 40 to 60 hours in communicating with various vendors or in drafting up drawings for the parts that can not be purchased at any price.

I had considered suing for the money spent but was informed by a friend that he had a similar problem with UPS. He on the other hand knew an insurance adjustor that worked for UPS and was told to not waste his money or time because only 1 out of 250 claims are ever settled in any way. However, I am considering contacting the states insurance commission regarding the sale of shipping insurance without any intent of paying out claims.

I paid for the package to be sent out on 7/31/08 and it shows no delivery as of 8/12/08. The time it was supposed to be delivered by was 8/9/08. The clerk at the post office was supposed to give me a new confirmation number, but he did not, causing my package to possibly be lost and not delivered in the time promised. Also, it is not trackable because a new tracking number was supposed to be given.

I contacted the Supervisor and he was rude and unhelpful. He blamed that it was my fault because I was supposed to ask and KNOW to get a new tracking number. I asked the USPS clerk if I needed a new number and the clerk told me I did not. Although I explained this situation, he said he would take note of the situation. Being a member of Active Duty I am responsible to paying my bills on time so the I do not risk the chance of losing my security clearance and besides that it is just the right thing to do in paying your bills on time. I am well aware that the normal person who delivers my mail is out on medical leave and the postal service uses various to fill this persons role. They need to pay attention to detail and put the right mail where it goes for this goes on my credit when it is misplaced not the delivery persons. Mailman insisted that my mail was to be forwarded somewhere else. Well Mr. Mailman here I am and I want my mail.

Much to my surprise the mail he was going to forward to Eutopia was from the IRS. Then proceeded to tell me that somebody must have maliciously put in an additional forwarding address. I mailed out a 30 lb. box from Ohio to Arizona in late April and it is now early August and just now received my package that I thought was forever lost. It had over One-Thousand dollars worth of goods in it and was sure it would never arrive after so many months. For those of you that lost a package make sure you send a letter detailing the packages contents, addresses labeled and any other information you can remember to the Mail Recovery Center. That is the only reason I now have my package.

It would have been auctioned off if I hadn't written a letter. I thought it was a long long longshot for it to be found there but believe me send a letter and hope for the best. I sent the letter out over a month ago and figured they found nothing and gave up hope. But surprisingly it showed up at my doorstep.

I have spoken with the manager many times and the situation does not change. A family member sent a perishable to me at a overnight cost of $38.00. They made no attempt to deliver it and I had to go to the Post Office and find it in the back. I think management should be removed at this branch

This is ongoping with no changes. They don't return phone calls and are seldom available to complain to.

I'm very upset that the U.S. postal system does makes us serving our country a priority and show the respect for us serving overseas. There is no excuse for my package not arriving to me. It just not the money, it's the principle! Documents inside the package and deadlines missed due to the failure of the U.S. Postal Service ensure package delivery as promised and customer paid for.

I am stationed with the Army overseas. A package with a computer was mailed from NC on 8 Apr 08 and was insured for 2200.00. We waited the allotted 45 days and then waited a little longer to make sure because of the military postal system. We filed a claim at the end of May. We contacted claims customer service and got no where. My friend who mailed the package called and got no where. We asked to speak to a supervisor and were told that they would take my number but we would have to wait for the supervisor to call us back. That they did not transfer calls directly to a supervisor.

We have been working with the military postal service supervisor here and they are having trouble with the claims dept in getting them to respond. We are now going on 4 months since the package was sent and over 60 days since the cliam has been filed. The USPS brocher for claims say it should be resovled in 15 to 20 days. We were advised that because we were overseas that we should expect to wait 30 days. We have waited we simply want our money or the computer in working order that we ordered.

I put out 2200.00 for a computer. I may be an officer in the Army but 2200.00 is a lot of money. It has caused great stress on me and my wife because this was her birthday present.

In Dec 07 I filed a complaint with the Post Office: to report bills that did not arrive. It was not until I received this months bills with over due notices that I was aware of the situation. I reported this to the PO supervisor who said there was nothing they could do as everything on their end was correct, but should it happen again let them know.

Well this did happen last year with several significant pieces of mail- I reported it and received the same response to my problem. As you know, when a bill is paid late this reflects on one's credit report, in turn one's credit report determines whether or not that individual is approved for loans and mortgages, also the interest rates are based on your credit standing- if you have bills that are paid late then you have a lower credit rating and in turn get a much higher percentage rate on your loan.

THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. My credit card interest rate did go up to 24% (Brooks Brothers mastercard assured me this would not happen but some months and many phone call and letters later it remained.) The post denied this being their fault. Today, 30 July 2008 I received the lost mastercard bill.

Luckily I was able to pay off the credit card but not before it cost me several hundred dollars in extra finance charges.

This happened several months ago with a book I ordered for my son. And again on a shipment I was expecting from JC Penny. I contacted JC Penny to cancel my order because of no delivery and they advised that the order was delivered to the post office on 7/17 and an attempted deliver was made on 7/23.

Again, no notice was left. Here I find this out on 7/30. I called the post office and they won't answer the phone. I must go to the Chestnut branch to pick up the package. I want to file a complaint about them not ever leaving a notice when they receive a package and complain about them not attempting to ring my door bell when they receive package. Nor do they answer the phone when you call. ABSOLULTE POOR customer service.

I had to buy another suit for a meeting becuase I thought my JC Penny package had not arrived. I am having issues with the courier, Rosie. I also want to add that I feel (like many other people) that post office employees are very rude and unwilling to help. They simply will only do the minimum and not go above and beyond to try to help anyone. This courier is LAZY. Every time I have a priority mail piece, I end up having to go to the office and get it myself. In the past, she never left a notice on the door or in the box (I live in an apartment). The USPS tracking would claim that an attempt was made and that no one was at home.

NOT TRUE ON MANY OCCASSIONS as I am self-employed and work from my home (I'm also a housewife), so I usually make a point to stay at home and wait for my mail if I can. She wouldn't leave it in the leasing office in the past, but yesterday she actually tried to and no one was there to receive it. I called ot complain (tried to be as nice and diplomatic as I could) about what happens and my frustration, and I guess that word got back to her and her pals because they all have an attitude! Yesterday, July 28, 2008, I was expecting FOUR packages! I was here almost the entire day.

She always seems to come around 4:00 or 5:00 pm. NOT today! She came around noon! Well, I was here at noon! Guess what? I didn't hear a knock. How could she have left notice? When I did go to my box to check to see if anything had arrived, there was ONE notice indicating that she had attempted to deliver TWO packages and that they were left in the leasing office. Not so because no one was there to accept them. The packages were going back to the post office. I went there around 4:30 to see if I could get them.

To make a long story short, I was told by one nice worker that I could wait for her to arrive as she usually gets there around 6:00 (this branch closes at 6:00). I left briefly and came back and the same clerk was not around. Another named Russell S. tried his best to get me to leave. I knew something was up. He just didn't want me to wait. He said I couldn't. I said I would until 6:00 and if the courier wasn't there by then to retrieve them for me, I'd come back in the morning to pick them up. He walked to the back and kept going on and on about how crazy I was and how he tried to tell me, etc. He was talking so loud and being so disrespectful. I could hear him even though he was way back in the back -that's how loud he was! He went on and on. I think that the courier was there and he was talking to her (and anyone else back there). She came out and gave me TWO packages and I signed for them. She literally THREW one at me across the counter.

I signed for them, and informed Russell that I'd heard him insult me many times and quite loudly. He basically said "so?" and shrugged it off. He also yelled at me when I tried to say something in my defense and said "we're done" -or something to that effect. He was hateful and arrogant and sarcastic to me. Why do postal workers get away with this stuff? Now, the BIG PROBLEM IS THIS: When I arrived at home, I tracked the other two packages. One was at this branch along with the two that I got early yesterday morning. I saw that when I tracked them all. I expected it would be delivered, too. Well, it was but NOT TO ME! I got no notice from the courier about this package, and when I went to the post office, I was told that it had not been processed.

When I tracked it later in the evening, the USPS tracking shows that it was DELIVERED around noon! No signature, no notice of any kind. As far as the last one, well it was last scanned in on Friday, July 25, and it apparently hasn't moved since then. Funny thing...they were all mailed out on the same day and should have arrived at about the same time.

I expected to then receive all of my mail on that day, but while the regular mail began again, the rest of my mail never came. So I went to the post office on the 5th of July, but they were closed until Monday, the 7th. My wife went on the 7th only to be told that they had no mail for us. I went the next day and was told the same thing. They reconfirmed that they had indeed lost all of our mail; perhaps packaging it up with someone elses mail. A supervisor confirmed with our carrier that there was quite a bit of mail that had been held, but when he came back that day, it was gone and he presumed that it had been picked up.

I apparently have no recourse for the bills I never received, the penalties I have had to pay as a consequence and graduation checks that were sent to my daughter and she never received. Who knows whatelse was lost during that three week time and who may have received my personal information. Lesson learned: never trust the US Postal Service to hold your mail. I had taken a package to the Swissvale, PA. Postoffice containing a broken digital camera the was authorized by warranty to be returned within 15 days. I clearly filled out the Label as specified by the warranty company on the top, I typed in bold print TO: and place the company address of where it was going to be sent. Below I Typed RETURN ADDRESS in bold print as instructed. I took it to the post office in Swissvale, PA and paid for next day air delivery at a cost of $4.52. I then went on vacation for a week when I returned home I found the package had been delivered to the return address that was my house.

I took the package into the post office after standing in line for 20 minutes with one clerk checking in packages and a line stretching well outside the door. I final got to the clerk, I showed the clerk the package, she immediately said "it is your fault that the package was delivered to your own house because the labels are not in the right order. " I said to her you personally checked it in, and inputed the info into the computer why didn't you say anything." She said I will get my manager. While I was waiting for the manager the people in line where shaking there heads, and several commented, these people screw up and it is everybody elses fault.

The manager then arrived and I explained the same thing to the manager and, his response was it is your fault for not putting it in the right order, our computers read the label and it has to be in the right order. I said your clerk inputed the information into your computer and as I understand it the sorter reads the bar code not the label." He no it reads the actual label." Which I find hard to beleive because if it did then my name would have been return address. I then ask him if that was the case then, Why didn't his clerk that checked the package alerted me of this problem. He had no answer for me, I told him this is why UPS and Fed EX kick are kicking you in the package industry. He then asked me if I wanted to ship it again.

I said no I will use UPS. He replied go a head you will pay more. (I didn't say what I was thinking which was atleast it will get to the right location.) as I walked out, I commented back to the manager please realize how many of the these people in line are laughing a you and your service level. It just so happened that a UPS truck was picking up a package at a nearby business, so shipped it next day air. I work for a fortune 20 retail company and ship alot of packages to several locations and this post office is next door. However, I will never ship another package with the post office. After the customer service that was displayed today.

I know this is only one post office and the post office is self funded agency of the goverment, but why more than any company that I ever dealt with they never admit fault. Please just one time. I would like to hear a post office employee not blame it on the customer. Cost me an extra $7.00 to over night it to the Warranty company before the warranty ran out and a lot of frustration.

I unfortunately have three complaints with the USPS in the past month and a half. #1 We arrived in Hawaii May 30, 2008. A few months prior to leaving the mainland (Wisconsin), we shipped 3 insured boxes of books via Media Mail (we are/were students) and they arrived here about a month before we got to Aiea, HI. We told our roommate that he wouldn't have to pick the packages up, we would just get them when we arrived in Hawaii. We did not want him to have to deal with three 50+ lb packages. The Monday after our arrival in Aiea, we went to the post office to pick up our packages.

We were then notified that one of the boxes had been "damaged" so they inspected the contents and discovered that not everything in the box was media mail (which we did not know, we sent blank envelopes and about 10 packages of note cards thinking that blank paper would be ok, apparently not). So they told us that they then acquired postage due, and they only hold mail for a certain amount of time with postage due before sending the item back to sender. And since we had no idea that there was postage due, they sent the boxes back to sender. Our roommate in Hawaii did not receive any notification that there was postage due, nor that they were being sent back. The original package slip which we held in our hands did not indicate postage due or any time period the post office would hold the packages for. This is not the only time the Aiea post office has given poor service.

#2 The next day we went back to attempt to fix an error we made on our original change of address slip we filled out in Wisconsin before leaving. We simply didn't know the formatting of addresses in Hawaii, thinking that when our roommate gave us xx-111 Street St. as an address, that it meant xx Street St, Apt 111. So we asked the manager what we need to do to fix the problem, she told us we needed to go to the Pearl City post office because that is where our mail carrier is based out of and that we could talk to a manager there to fix it. So we went there, he then told us that we need to call our post office in Wisconsin and fix it through them since that is where we originally filled out our sheet. So, we called our old post office. They told us there is a SINGLE FORM that we needed to fill out to correct the error, that ANY POST OFFICE would have on hand and be able to correct the error. So we went back to Aiea USPS and sure enough, the form was literally right next to the postal worker.

#3 Receipt of opened mail with my entire social security number dangling in broad daylight, and no stamp that said 'Damaged in Mail Processing' which I know they are supposed to do if an item gets caught. The mail piece is one of those types with the perforated edges on three sides. The bottom, the side that's not even perforated, was opened cleanly and completely as if by a letter opener, one side and a third of the top perforations were also open cleanly with the perforated edge piece dangling. I went to the Aiea post office to report it, I was again directed to the Pearl City post office to talk to a manager, talked to a manager, and was told that since our mailboxes are the locked kind, that they can't do anything about it and that he would talk to my mail carrier. I couldn't fill out a complaint form or get any sort of guarantee that my identity was not going to be stolen. Only, a "there is not much we can do, it probably got caught in a mail machine."

#1 We then had to have a family member inconvenience themselves at home, pick the packages up, pay the postage due just to receive the packages, repack them, and pay again to send them back here because we need our books. #2 No economic or physical damage except lost travel-gas and time. #3 Hopefully no economic or physical damage will result. I guess we will see if someone starts tampering with my identity.

I called to see why I have not received my replacement social security card that was mailed June 17,2008 and was told there was nothing she could do. I also mentioned a letter I was supposed to be getting from Montana that was mailed on July 8, 2008. Same response. It does no good to complain because nothing gets done.

I really don't care to have my social security number floating around. Who knows who will get hold of it and what they will do with it? This is a real concern of mine.

MAIL/CREDIT CARD/IDENTITY THEFT! I received correspondence from a bank with a credit card enclosed...but the card was missing. On Monday, July 14, 2008 approximately 2:30 p.m., my daughter called me to tell me that she had retrieved our mail from our (locked) mailbox only to discover that one of the letters from a bank had been opened and the "enclosed" credit card was gone. I told her to get back in her car and go the the post office located on Hillcrest in Inglewood and tell them the situation and show them the correspondence. They gave her a little piece of paper and told her to have me to call the number(s) on the piece of paper.

I called on Monday, July 14th and left a message for the manager to call me. No call back...I called again on Tuesday, July 15th and got a recorded message. I then called on Wednesday, July 16th at approximately 11:00 a.m. and spoke with Art S. who assured me that the postmaster would call me back... at approximately 3:15 p.m. I called again because I had not heard back from ANYONE and finally spoke to Judy Hall who took the information down regarding the incident and told me that she would get back to me--she would not commit to a date/time that she would get back to me but said she had to do an investigation.

It has been an ongoing situation with "mail" problems on my street. I continuously receive my neighbors' mail and they receive my mail. I have experienced receiving people's mail on a completely different street. This mis-delivery of mail has been ongoing for the last couple of years and I have called numerous times to report this matter. My mail has even been on "monitor" status by the post office--but the problems continue. And now it's a situation of mail/credit card theft that has not been addressed. It seems that the Post Master or Manager should have contacted the victim at least within a 24-hour timeframe. But here it is 72 hours later and the situation has not been address.

This is why we have so much mail theft--the Post Office doesn't respond to complaints! I need help with this situation. I'm already trying to clean up my credit report because of past identity theft. PLEASE HELP ME OUT! Mail theft, credit card theft & identity theft.

On February 23, 2008, I went into the Post Office to file an insurance claim on some merchandise that was mailed to me from overseas. I filled out all the necessary paper-work and submitted all the required information. I was told by the postal clerk (Harry) that it would take about 3 weeks before I heard anything.

Well, after almost 3 months had passed without contact from him or the people that handles the insurance claims, I called the post office to inquire about the claim. I spoke with Harry and he told me that he had misplaced the paper-work for the claim and that I needed to resubmit the paper-work again. Well, I was highly upset at this time, because if I had never contacted him in regards to the claim, then he would have never notified me about the paper-work being misplaced. So, I told him to mail me the paper-work and I will fill them out again and I asked him if he could take care of it right away.

After resubmitting the paper-work (a week later, I called to confirm that he had processed the claim and he told me that he didn't have the time to do it but that he would do it the following week. I was truly disgusted inside with him. I almost wanted to take back my damaged merchandise than to have to keep dealing with his slack work behavior.

Finally, he sent me a copy of the claim that I had filled out, which verified that he processed it on June 6. On July 14, I went by the Post office and told Harry that as of that date, I still have not heard anything about the claim. So, he gave me the number for the claims office and they searched their database and said that they had no record of my claim. Then I proceeded to describe my disgust to the claims representative on the phone, regarding everything that I've gone through with Harry at the Post Office, and she told me to go back to the Post Office to resubmit the paper-work for a third time or contact Consumer Complaint.

I don't think that it's fair to my fianc overseas, to pay for insurance coverage on his package and not receive the benefits that are supposed to accompany it. As of July 16, I've decided to go back to the Post Office to retrieve my damaged goods.

As a consequence, my fiance paid for insurace coverage that was not bestowed to him because of the postal clerk's lack of incompentence. The merchandise was an expensive oil that sat in a crystal mount that was shattered during delivery. This situation had demised my trust with sending precious gifts through the Post office.

I am a college student and due to bad misdealings with my inefficient college (will make a complaint about them shortly) I ended up having to pay for part of my tuition out of my pocket when it should have been paid for through a tuition assistance program. The agreement was that I would pay for the classes so they wouldn't drop my housing, but the tuition assistance program would send me a check for the $5000 for my program tuition and that way all parties would be happy. Well, they sent the check, but it's been 26 days and there is still no sign of the funds. I have also not received my stimulus check. I have contact the tuition assistance program who says they can't trace the check until 30 days has past, and I have contacted the post office with no response.

Due to the$5000 lost, not to mention several other debts I incurred in order to keep the agreement, I am now in jeopardy of having no place to live in the fall semester, meaning I have to drop out of school. I can't afford the inflated prices of $16,000 a year for housing plus the $2000 a year increase in tuition. I have received every piece of mail that has been mailed to me except for my checks! I am even missing a $30 rebate check, that the rebate center has sent twice. I don't know what's going on!

I had not receieved my mail, since Monday July, 7th 2008. I called July 14th 2008 to the post office on Keist at 8:30am to ask why is my mail not delivered. The man answering seemed very bothered by having to check and see why. When he checked he said that there was no reason my mail should not have been being delivered and that the carriers were not there so he didnt have an answer for me and that I would have to check back the next day. At 5pm my daughter located the carrier in our neighborhood and asked about the mail.

The carrier came to my residence at 5:15pm and informed me that they had been on vacation for 2 weeks and when they returned they saw were my mail had been held. She said she asked the person taking her route in her absence why 6xx Rockwoods mail had not been delivered and they stated because of dogs. She said she told them no that is 6zz Rockwood and that she has never had a dog problem at my address. I asked were was my mail and she said it is at the Keist office. I went to the Keist office at 5:40pm I knocked at the quick service door and the man answered after ringing the bell and knocking for 15 mins. His name was Jeff Johnson I explained to him the situation and being very obstinate he finally went and found my mail. He informed me that if a hold had been placed on my mail the carrier was to inform them so it could be filed and no letter was there.

I discovered that I had missed a very important appointment on the 9th of July that had been postmarked on the 3rd of July. That I needed a letter stating my mail had been held without my knowledge. He told me I could not receive a letter because the carrier must have had a reason. I asked him that if they did have a reason why was the reason not on file if that is their procedure. He was very mean and unhelpful and was like so what. I even told him what my regular carrier had informed me and he said that they should not have told me that ( I AS THE CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT KNOW THE TRUTH) He blatantly was not going to give me anything for he said it was probably my fault.

At 6:05 I was still waiting in the lobby as still no help another employee asked me as he was walking out did I need help and I told him I was waiting on Mr. J. At 6:16 I could here conversations going on from behind the box area I was waiting and I heard the other employee ask Mr J. had he checked on me in the lobby and Mr. J. very sternly said NO. Then went on to say to the other employee that I wanted a letter and that he wasn't giving me one cause it was most likely a dog problem mine. At 6:20pm Mr J. finally came out and said he was still waiting on the carrier who was to replace the normal carrier while on vacation. (what will the carrier do I know lie to cover his behind) My house and the house that actually had the hold is the only two houses on the block at the end of the street. So it is out of the way for him to come all the way down to my house just for my mail when he could say dogs in my yard also.

I also made sure Mr J. knew that I was going to file a complaint because this situation was not being handled properly . I informed him that I was going to call the Post Master and he told me it would be a waste of my time I would just get shuffled around. (can u believe that) At 6:30 my normal carrier came to the window and spoke with me and Mr. J. and told him that she had never had a problem with dogs at my residence and that the dogs were always in the driveway on the other side of the other house that she had placed the dog hold on herself. At 6:40 the other carrier came in and said he didn't deliver because of dogs on my porch. I told him that those dogs never enters my yard and whenever I was missing the mail I started looking for the postman and he never even entered my block.

I also have and indoor small cog and if any animal comes close she picks up a scent and goes mad and this never happened. He said he assumed that the dog hold was at both addresses and the normal carrier said no I told you that it was only at 6zz Rockwood. Then I asked him if that was so why didn't he follow procedure and make a dog report. He showed me as the customer I wasn't anything and got obstinate and started to walk away. I told him the truth was he didn't want to go out of his way to deliver on that block because it would have been only to one house so why not use the dog excuse. My neighborhood is largely hispanics whom speak no English. He figured that they would never complain or know how to. I am a woman who recognizes they did not want to do their job.

Mr. J. told me I could not get a letter at this time and that I would have to return in the morning to get the letter for I should be compensated. He even finally recognized the truth and also seeing I was going to issue a complaint to even The President if necessary. The appointment I missed was my foodstamp appointment which stated I would be denied if I did not attend my appointment. This appointment was necessary for me to be able to feed my children and has placed a monetary hardship on me as a result. I have had to use my bill money for food and as a result of the ineptness of the postal worker I am very unhappy. This is not my fault and I would like for something to be done about this situation immediately. The majority of the people at the usps Keist office, I spoke with was very rude and only because of the severity of the situation did I continue to deal with them.

I have been placed in a financial burden. I have had to use my bill money to buy food for my children and grandchildren. I am on a very tight budget and every day I have had to go buy food using this money. It has placed me in a depression and worry on how was I going to survive. When I went and applied I had hoped for emergency help which was needed but was told I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE APPOINTMENT WHICH i WOULD HAVE RECEIVED HELP THE SAME DAY.

So i contacted the usps and they advised that it was my problem and that the postal worker does not have to get out of his truck so when he comes down our street 2 out of 10 houses get there mail. I grew up in chicago where the postal workers walk from house to house and they still do so i find that hard to believe he doesnt have to get out of his truck excuse. However, the pickup is earlier in the day and I drop off what is left on my way home. The packages already have proper documentation, postage and post mark. I drop off between 10 and 30 packages.

I believe this to be discrimination against me specifically. An employee informed me that the Post Master made this decision. This after another employee yelled at the clerks last week and told them not to let me in. This was not only in front of me, but several other customers. This is totally unacceptable

Has been confrontational with our staff, and we have to repeatedly go across the street to pick up the mail, because it is not being delivered in a timely manner, if at all.

There is clearly a personal issue between the mail carrier & one of the libraries maintenance people. This behavior has to stop. It is the mail carriers job to deliver the mail, and this is a public institution that rely's on prompt mail delivery in order to get materials such as magazines and newspapers out to our patrons.

Our patrons are not getting library materials on time, and it is causing a back up of materieals to be processed.

This past Monday July 7, 2008 I went to check my mail at the P.O. Box but wasn't nothing there at all.

So I went back Thursday July 11, 2008 my P.O. Box was Full but I still didn't received the main bills I been waiting for as well as my medicine and the machine. So I went back to the Post Office Friday July 11, 2008 to check my P.O. Box again still nothing. So when I was leaving this Janet Hall that work at the Post Office came out and told me that she has a lot of mail that she has been holding without my consent or knowledge of this situation. So I asked her to give me my mail and she stated that the person name on the mail must come in to pick up the mail themselves.

So I went and got my girlfriend to go pick up the mail that was in her name, Millwood Rd, Dunlap, CA 93621 in which she know my address anyway for many years. So my girlfriend went into the Post Office to get a stake of mail that we have been waiting for over a month to pay our bills. She held this mail just to be nosy to see whom my girlfriend was and what she looked like which was racist. Anyway my girlfriend went into the Post Office to ask for the mail that this Janet H. held for no reason because my girlfriend had letters coming in under her name with the P.O. Box xx, Dunlap, CA 93621 as Linda J. and she got that mail. Because by her having Linda Jones with the street address on the mail she told my girlfriend that she wanted to see who she was with this address because she didn't know who she was and that she felt that she had every right to hold her mail for a month without my consent or my girlfriend consent in which is very racist because. Than she told my girlfriend that she didn't have any problem with Verizon Phone Company in putting her name on her phone bill which I feel was very racist and prejudice.

I want this Woman FIRED and investigated as well because I'm not the first one she has did this too. My medicine wasn't notify to me in my P.O. Box 25, Dunlap, CA 93621. My blood sugar went up to 578 ml and now my health has gotten worse as well because of this person who illegally doing what she want to do on her own against me as well as with other people she has done this too. She isn't fit to work there to do what she feel like doing as well as holding my mail against my wishes and lie about it. She's not Above The Law! This need to be investigated here at Dunlap Post Office because this mess has been going on for many years with this damn woman against me and other people. I had just let it go for many years until this reasonally happen on getting my medicine for my Dibetic pills and machine to test my sugar.

I suspect this problem is in the Honolulu facility, as the cards I send to myself from the above facilities as a way of monitoring the mailings have always reach me.

I am appalled at the ingrained and tolerated hostility toward the customer and employers by post office employees. The USPS is in a financial mess in great part due to a system that tolerates and encourages this criminal behavior on the part of employees who should be fired, if not jailed, for their actions against your customers' businesses. I am requesting a response from USPS officers to this message. I should not have to even ask that, but the record of customer service on the part of the USPS is undeniably abysmal.

Over a month ago I registered a change of address at the Eastsound Post Office. I have since then received some mail but nothing in the way of bills or financial statements. Today I called to complain. One of the office postal workers went back to the carrier station to look for my mail and found THIRTY overdue letters addressed to me but set aside, twenty-six of them with financial information such as banking, credit card statements, now overdue billing statements from health insurance, hardware store, Northwest Airlift, and two rental checks whose absence have caused extreme concern. Some letters dated back as far as June 4th.

The office worker who found the mail was dismayed and apologetic but said the only thing to do was to complain on the postal complaint site rather than directly to the Eastsound postmaster, which seems odd. In any case I cannot actually locate the right site(there is a complaint site but it doesn't seem to go to the post office itself) This is very serious as I nearly lost my health insurance, airlift insurance (we live on Orcas island), my rental income checks, and have had to pay late fees on credit cards and on other overdue bills as well.

I feel this is a serious complaint about one postal carrier and whoever is overseeing him at the Eastsound post office. This carrier should not be handling mail. It is particularly odd that nearly all the mail was time sensitive and of a financial nature. Something should be done very quickly before real harm is done. Thank you!

My local mail carrier has been delivering my neighbor's mail to me. I have contacted the post office three times in the past two weeks. During my phone call today, I was told to try Consumer Affairs and I was given this confirmation number: cv38609276. I have spoken to the route supervisor several times and this is still happening. The same exact thing happened last year and I thought it had been resolved until two weeks ago.

All I want is for my mail to be delivered to my house, and my neighbor's mail to be delivered to theirs, respectively. My address and name is on my mail box in high-contrast, 2" letters and the street number is on the front door in 4" numbers. I was mailed a pink sticker to put on my mailbox so that the carrier would know to pay extra attention to the address, so the only thing I can think of is that this is deliberate. I am beginning to think that the post office is retaliating because of my complaints. Possible lost mail including financial and legal documents, and also magazine subscriptions.

I received a letter in the mail from the Patch-Up Operations ( address above) stating the enclosed mail was damaged while being handled by the U.S. Postal Service. They wanted me to accept their sincere apologies, etc. etc. and it was signed by Eric D. C., Plant Manager, Tampa Processing and Distribution Center, PO Box 33xxx, Tampa, Florida 33630-9997. There was no phone number for me to find out what happened to my check for Pasco County Utilities. They sent me the stamp from from envelope and part of the bill with our address.

The check was not returned. I needed to know what happened to the check. Did they forward it to the water company? I had to google this Spruce St. address and got the above number where I talked to a person. This person assured me the check was shredded. I have no proof of that. She claimed I would get a letter stating that. I did NOT. Meanwhile, do I take a chance of having my water shut off? This woman at the above number for the Post Office swore to me the check was shredded.

Well, after issuing a new check in the amount of $84.37 I got a call today from the Water Company telling me they received the other one and credited my account. I was livid. I don't have money growing on trees to write out two checks in that amount. The Postal Service swore to me the other one was shredded. How can they do this? (They also stated I could write to MRC at PO Box 44xxx in Atlanta, Ga. Why should I do that? I needed to talk to a human about where my check was.)

Why is there no way to contact a person when something like this happens? I went to my Post Office today and they told me there was no one to really talk to. Someone has to be responsible for such errors. I am not upset about the actual piece of mail being damaged, but when I am unable to talk to someone who knows what happened to the check, I have a problem with that. I could have bounced a check or had my water turned off! I would like the Postal Service, in particular the Patch-Up Operations who sent me this letter to take responsibility for making me understand how I was not given more information.

I am writing to report egregious mismanagement of the P.O. Box services at the JAF Station Post Office, zip code 10116 (next to Penn Station). I have rented a P.O. Box there since January of 2005 and generally pay the rental fees in 6 month increments due at the end of June and December. When I recently visited the JAF Station Post Office on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 I inquired about what I believed to be a missing commuter pass that is sent to the P.O. Box. The pass is sent on the 20th of the prior benefit month and is generally delivered by the first week of the benefit month. I had already not received a pass for June 2008 but as my employer benefit program does not guarantee delivery to P.O. Boxes and there was no means of tracing this first class letter, I chocked it up to a loss. However, I became concerned when I visited on July 8 as that month's pass had also not arrived.

When I stated to the clerk at the P.O. Box window, a man with glasses, that I believed that someone might be stealing my commuter cards as they had been missing for two months in a row, he performed a quick check and informed me that my P.O. Box was closed as I was in arrears since December 2007. I assured him that I had in fact paid for the P.O. Box in December 2007 and except for my missing commuter passes, had received all of my mail to date including two package slips which I handed him. Further, there was no payment notice in my box. He again stated that they had no record of my payment and that the P.O. Box was closed. That they had "let this slide" for awhile and were now cracking down. As there were several customers in line who requesting P.O. Boxes and were being told that they were sold out, I offered to make the payment due at the end of June, and to come back with proof of my December 2007 payment but the clerk refused, stating that I had to pay for an entire year from December 2007. At this point I asked to see a manager.

After approximately 10 minutes, a manager appeared. He basically reiterated the same accusatory language about "letting payments slide" in the past but that the post office is now "cracking down" on people who fail to make payments. I assured him that I had in fact made a payment six months prior, but after a perfunctory glance through some sort of book he stated there was no record of payment. I then asked why if payment was at issue, there was no payment notice in my box. That having a notice that the box was being closed and payment was overdue would have provided me with the opportunity to appear with proof of payment instead of trying to remember the information on the spot. He became defensive, gave me an icy stare and growled "are you being sarcastic." He then snapped that if I was not going to make a payment at that moment then the box would be closed before and storming out from behing the P.O. Box service window to the area behind the P.O. Box and placed a piece of cardboard at the back of my P.O. Box.

At this point I left the post office to go to work. At work I was able to locate the credit card payment from my online bank account in approximately three minutes. I had in fact paid for the P.O. Box on January 5, 2008. I took the subway more than 50 blocks back to the post office later that day and presented a copy of the credit card transaction at the P.O. Box window. I asked to speak to the manager from that morning and I was told he was unavailable. Fortunately there was another manager available who was helpful, updated my payment record to reflect the last six months of payment, and allowed me to make a new payment to renew the rental through December. The clerk that I spoke to that morning was still on duty and incredibly continued to carry on about the Post office not keeping good payment records previously and now "cracking down" on payments. And while waiting in line to renew the box, I encountered another P.O. Box customer who stated that he had the same issue, but when he stated that he had made a payment they 'took his work for it.'

I frankly find this entire situation outrageous. First, that the Post Office should be so negligent in their handling of P.O. Box records. Second, that postal customers should have to bear the burden of this negligence. I am outraged that individuals with such poor customer service skills are promoted to management. And I think it is inexcusable that the post office would close a P.O. Box without first providing notice to the customer that the account is believed to be in arrears.

This is admittedly not the only complaint that I have had about service at the JAF Station Post Office over the past year. The Post Office summarily decided to cut back their P.O. Box service window hours of operation approximately 9 months ago, but it took several months to get them to actually post the hours of service. I have visited the P.O. Box window during service hours to pick up a package for which I received a package slip only to have the clerk unable to locate it. I have been made to wait for 45 minutes in the regular service line to pick up a Netflix dvd envelope which inexplicably did not fit into my otherwise empty P.O. Box.

But for the fact that I was caught completely offguard with this most recent and egregious incident and thus had no time to make forwarding arrangements, I would have found another resource for receiving my mail. Clearly I cannot rely on the Postal Service to get it right.

I personally had to spend nearly $100 in replacing a commuter benefits card that I have now learned was returned by the post office on June 5 and re-sent by the commuter benefits company on June 20. Today I received an e-mail that my July card was also returned. I have no way of knowing what else I did not receive.

The situation occurred between May 7th and June 17th of 2008. The situation involved a letter that was sent certified mail (tracking number 7007 2560 0002 4273 2793) on May 7th from the College Park, MD post office. The package contained time-sensitive material being sent to the USCIS at the Fallon Federal Building, Hopkins Plaza, Baltimore, MD. Since this building is a federal building, they do not allow public inquiry to the mailroom and it is impossible to know if a package arrives there. For this reason, my husband and I chose to use certified mail delivery for our package. We began tracking the package online shortly after sending it so that we could confirm its delivery. The online tracking service registered that the package arrived in Baltimore on May 8th at 11:15am and was being held at the pickup station.

Since the package was not meant to be picked up, but actually delivered to the Fallon Federal Building, we were concerned. We wanted confirmation of the delivery and so, after tracking the package each day online for ten days with no change in status, we started an endless journey with USPS to try to obtain the service that we paid for (a certification that the mail was delivered). After more than a month after sending the package and many hours spent calling multiple dependencies at USPS, we never received satisfactory information about the delivery. It is clear that not only we did not receive the service that we paid for but also this irregularity caused us a series of disturbances that are described below and for which we are requesting indemnity.

Upon seeing no change in the online status of our package, we called customer service at the number provided on our certified mail tracking sheet. The woman with whom we spoke confirmed that the message on the computer did in fact seem strange, and informed us that if the package was left waiting at the pickup point for more than two weeks, the package would be sent back to us. She advised us to wait for a few days for them to update the website and provide confirmation of delivery. When we told her we had been tracking it for some time, she provided us with the number of USPS in Baltimore where the package would have been sent, and instructed us to call there.

We called the Baltimore office several times between May 23-28. We spoke with two individuals and a supervisor, Ms. D., who informed us that they would work to try to find out what happened to the package and to call back. The intent was to give us some formal confirmation of delivery. Finally, on May 30, we called back again to the Baltimore office and, to our surprise, were informed that there was no Ms. D. who supervised the station. We were instead instructed to hold for Mr. James W.. We talked with Mr. W. and told him the situation. He said that he would track the package for us the following morning before 10 am and get back to us. At this time we also called the costumer service line again and talked with a woman named Lisa T. She wrote a record of the issue and said that someone would call back in one business day. She told us that if we had to call back, the confirmation number for our case was cv37948752. Neither James W. nor someone from customer service called back the next day.

On June 2 we talked again with Mr. W. He said he would request a copy of the form sheet that was supposed to be signed on delivery and he asked us to call him the next day before 10 am in order for him to send it to us. On June 3, we called Mr. W.'s office, but he was unavailable. We informed the person we spoke with about the case and he said he would try to speak with the carrier who would have gone to Hopkins Plaza about the situation. We also left a message for Mr. W. Additionally, we called back to the costumer service line to inquire why we never received a call back. The employee we spoke with said that USPS would try to track the package again so that we could get delivery confirmation, and gave us the following confirmation number for our case cv38000660.

On June 4 we called again to costumer services. The employee said that the case had been passed to costumer affairs, and gave us the number to call. The employee also gave us another case number cv38026274. We called the customer affairs line and nobody answered. After a few moments, the answering machine picked up, informed us that our call was very important to USPS and then disconnected the line. This happened twice. We also called James W. and left a message but he did not reply.

On June 5 we called costumer affairs and again nobody answered. We then called the costumer service line once more. The employee who answered the call also informed us that the person in charge of the case is named Christal but no more information was available, and we could not speak with this person. Upon requesting, we were connected to a supervisor named Chris. Chris said that if customer affairs did not call that day, the case would be passed to a higher level. We also called James W. twice and left a message but were not able to speak with him. Another employee said that they would check with the carrier for that route.

We called the Baltimore office to speak to James W. again two more times between June 5 and June 16th but did not find him available. At this time, we decided to schedule an appointment with the USCIS at the Fallon Federal Building to deliver a backup copy of the time-sensitive materials to ensure their delivery, since the delivery of the original package still had not been confirmed. (Note: both individuals involved in any USCIS case must be present at USCIS appointments.)

On June 16, the day before the appointment, we called the Baltimore office again and spoke with James W. He said that he thought that the case was solved, but gave no explanation why he thought that. We informed him that we still have not received the confirmation of delivery that he promised. (This is because he never sent it, and he acknowledged that). He said that he would call back later, but after not getting a call back for two hours, we called again. Mr. W. said he was still waiting for his carrier and he would call back later that day. He read back both of our phone numbers to ensure that he had them correct. He never called.

June 17 we were obliged to take a MARC train to/from Baltimore to meet the appointment with USCIS. During this visit we also went to talk to Mr. W. in person at the Baltimore Post Office Annex. He again informed us that the package delivery confirmation was still not available. He seemed to think our frustration at the situation was humorous. The economic consequences were imparted both in time and money: Cost of sending package certified mail = 7.25 Train tickets to and from Baltimore MD = 24.00 Value of work-day hours spent on phone with USPS = 5 x 20 = 100 Value of 2 person-work-day hours spent traveling to Baltimore, MD = 10 x 20 = 200 Total $331.25

I had requested a legal document from the courts. I had it sent in a LSASE, and when I opened my mail box, today, it was crumpled up in a ball, in the bottom of the box, with a magazine on top of it. I took it to the post office and waited 25 minutes total, before a supervisor came, and I have a bad back, which I'll explain in another complaint. Teresa made a copy of it, even though a copy doesn't really show the damage. She said she'd talk to the carrier.

I came back, and the other supervisor, David, whom I originally asked for was there. So, I explained what happened to David, and asked him for the two stamps that it cost me to request the document, not counting my time, which I said is worth $200.00 per hour. He gave me the stamps, and I asked him if he would talk to the carrier, because this is a time-sensitive document that I have to re-request and have the other party served. He said, Well, I'll tell him you're concerned, but maybe you didn't check your mail and he stuffed the stuff on top of it. I said, No, I checked my mail twice today. He said, Well, maybe it came a previous day. I said, Look at the post mark, June 30, 2008. Today is July 1st. He said, Well, that's hypothetical. He then said, I could request that the carrier leave a note for you to pick anything up that doesn't fit in the mail box. I said, That doesn't have anything to do with it.

Obviously, we're not talking about a box that doesn't fit. It's a legal sized envelope. I took my stamps and left.
At least $200.00 worth of damage...time, effort, plus...I have to re-request the document and have the other party served in time. I don't see how it's possible. This has caused significant problems. The actual damages is much much greater.

I have had multiple issues with this Post office. First they stopped delivering my mail for no apparent reason which made my bills late and cost me late fees. When I inquired about it they had no answer for me as to why it happened.

The next time I recieved a package and never got it. When I inquired about it I was told that the Post Office delivered it. When I went to the Post Office They were not only very rude with me but they told me that if their carrier said she delivered it then it was my problem. I stayed at the Post office for 2 hours waiting for the delivery person to get back in from her route and she said she remembered delivering a package. I asked her if she would go back to the community where I lived and open the parcel boxes and she said she would. When she opened the parcel locker and there was my package. The key to the parcel locker was put in someone elses mail box.

Finally I put my mail on hold while I went on vacation. I filled out the form provided by the Post office stating what date my mail should be held and what date to start re-delivery of my mail. I also checked the box stating that I would pick up my held mail. When I got back from vacation I found a package had been delivered and place in my mail box. I went to the Post Office to pick up my held mail and was told that they did not have it and the delivery person must have taken it. Some how I don't feel that it is right that I have to waste my time and gas to chase my mail and be treated rudely when I followed the Post Office procedures with my mail.

I wasted my time and gas as well as encountering late fees due to poor mail delivery. Not to mention being treated rudely by Post Office employees. These are the people that created my grief to begin with.

I sold an item on ebay, packed in a large cardboard box 2-3 priority mail. Week and a half later a gets a email from receiver saying the the box was damage and he refused it and sent it back. Now i'm in awwws because this is a big cardboard box well packed. So week later i receive a letter with the top of the box i sent with my name and receiver name and a few stamps from usps saying the are sorry my package was damage in mail.

So i open the letter and they want me to fill out this form of lost mail and discribe what was in my package. No the puzzle is, HOW DID THE TOP OF THE BOX GET REMOVE? My guess is after receiver refused it the usps knew they had damage it and somebody had to pay to have it shipped back to me and to elimimate them spending their money they just cut the top of the box and mail it with letter.

So i have filled out letter and sent it back to minnisota which is the lost mail recovery center. It's been two weeks and nothing yet. My main problem is the reciever should have accepted the box knowing even after the usps had damage the box there was nothing in it that could have been damage. Everything was solid iron. No receiver wants me to refund his money because of all this. I did my part and box shipped it. He refused it and sent it back and now it's lost.

I'm without parts and a dispute with ebay.

My 1500.00 eBay purchased, insured ring, delivery signature required was stolen the minute it was "accepted" by the Garden Grove, CA Post Office at 4:15pm on 6-16-08. Never been seen ot heard of since and no one knows where it is... Dispite calls to start a case and getting a case number assigned on the package, and many emailed letters to the Postal Inspection Service, not a word or a call has been returned. Not a word. The seller even passed out flyers warning customers about postal theft within that Garden Grove post office. There is no incentive to find their own thiefs, as it is our own tax dollars that will reimburse me, not the UPSP personal coffers. This is a joke.

After reading the numerous compliants about this all over the Internet, I realize this is just another broken arm of our government and it will never be fixed. Common sense says it was taken in Garden Grove as it never made it to the distribution center for the trip north. My local post office said it never made it to Oakland, CA whcih is our distribution center either. If you VALUE your heirlooms or jewlery, alway send it over-insured, paper wrapped with PAPER tape (hard to find, but necessary to be tamper proof) covering every single seam of your package. Have the post person, stamp every inch of each seam of the tape crossing onto the package wrap with an offical red circle stamp of the post office. This is so the seams cannot be tampered with. Send it

REGISTERED and INSURED and SIGNATURED REQUIRED so the package must be signed for on each leg of the journey through the theif ridden Post Office employees. and locked in a cage at night. If it is ost, they will never find it nor will they try too. They know they have a theft issue, and they turn a blind eye.

I guess the postal workers union is scary than the American public. Never send Insured packaage Priority Mail....it is like a beacon for steal me!!!! ALWAYS take the steps to warp and paper tape your seams. ALWAYS. This is my second loss and both wwere insured but the seller used Prioirty mail boxes. Priority gives one a false sense that the USPS makes your package important. It doesn't. I bought the ring for a great price and the seller insured it for what I paid for it. But it's actual value was more, and I wish I'd paid the extra cost to insure it for triple. The ring was my 29th anniversay gift. I am an angry, disappointed born in the USA taxpayer.

I sent a package overnight mail with USPS in March 2008. I was given a tracking number and told the package would arrive by 10 AM the next day. This was a package that the individual I sent it to needed by that day and he took a day off work to stay and wait for it. It never arrived that day. I went to the USPS website to track it, and the site said only that the package had left the terminal here. I called to file an investigation into the missing package the next day, and although I was told that someone would call me with information by the end of the next day, nobody called me.

I waited until the next day, phoned again and was told that nobody knew where the package was, that it was not scanned if it arrived at the destination, and they advised me to go to my post office and file a missing package form. That afternoon, the package arrived at its destination, with nobody waiting for it, and the postal worker did not leave it, just left a notice for it to be picked up.

This is the absolute worst service I have ever experienced. Now I am awaiting a package that was sent via priority mail over a week ago, and when I try to track it, all the site says is that the person sending it notified them of a pending pickup on that day. There is NO information as to its whereabouts, even though it was definitely picked up by the postal service 8 days ago. I will personally NEVER use the post office again for packages of any kind, especially if they need to get to the destination quickly.

The economic damage was loss of a day's pay for the person waiting for the package, and the fact that I paid the Post Office the overnight fee when it took 4 days for the pakage to arrive.

I have a 8 year old white boxer. He is an inside dog and only goes out with us in the back yard (which is fenced in) or in the front yard on his chain. I have had animal control at my door numerous times stating that my dog was out, when I tell them that he was not out, then they leave. On 2/09/08 they did issue me a dog at large ticket stating that the mail carrier took a picture of the dog that he was and was prepared to go to court if he had to. I decided to fight that ticket since I knew that the dog was not outside.

When we went to court, much to my surprise, he lied about having a picture of the dog. I am tired of this. I have contacted the Post Master General, and wrote a letter to my congressman with no help. They just say that if I want to be a dog owner then I need to take care of my dog and not let him run! At one point I was told that if they even saw my dog in the window that they would not deliver my mail.

Even with the P.O. Box I am not getting my mail delivered! I have mailed returns at undeliverable, just return to sender for no reason at all. I have bought packages from EBay and Amazon.com that have been lost and never delivered. making complains doesn't seem to do anything at all

I have moved my mailbox away from my house (this area has the mailboxes attached to the house, so I put a box at the curb) That mailbox cost me $35.00 at Menards. Then I was told that they could not deliver my mail again, so now I am putting a fence around my front yard so that the dog can not get out of the yard at all. That fence is costing me about $3000.00 to buy and install. When is this harassment from the post office going to stop (they are also harassing one of the neighbors that live 3 doors down from me)!!!!!!

In September 2007, I reported to my local post office that I was not receiving my mail regularly. On investigation, Mr Anaya informed me a change of address form had been submitted and showed me the postcard. I informed him the card was fraudulent as I had never lived at the address indicated, nor had I submitted the change of address. The signature was not close to mine, and obviously the person who submitted it was not asked for identification. He had me fill out another postcard supposedly canceling the fraudulent change of address. I submitted a report online to the US Postal Inspection Service. I attempted to file a police report at my local precinct, which was refused because no attempts had been made at identity theft. I alerted my creditors about the fraudulent address.

I thought I had covered all bases. Yet every few months one creditor (Municipal Credit Union) with whom I had a credit card, would send me a notice about a change of address (to the fraudulent address). I would contact them immediately, they would cancel the current card and issue a new one. This happened 5 times. After the second credit card change, I went to MCU, explained the problem to a manager and had alerts placed on my account about the fraudulent address. Still the problem kept recurring until I transferred my balance to another card and refused to accept any more cards from MCU. Each time I received the change of address notice from MCU, I contact Mr Anaya directly. I told him the postal system must have a database that routinely notifies financial institutions of changes of address, and that the fraudulent address was never removed from that database. He insisted no such thing existed and that the problem was with the creditors. The post office had done all they could.

On 6/2/08, I contacted a postal inspector and eventually was directed to the consumer affairs department of the postal service. They confirmed the existence of a database and that the fraudulent address had never been deleted. They said they would contact Mr Anaya and walk him through deleting the fraudulent address from the database. I called the consumer affairs dept the following day and was assured the problem had been corrected.

The problem has not been corrected! A friend mailed a letter to me a week ago, as a test. I have not received it. Nor had I received a bill I was told was sent out a week ago. In fact, except for junk mail, I received mail only one day this past week. In addition, as of today, one of the credit reporting agencies (Experian) still has the fraudulent address listed as my current address. To this day I have no idea what has become of 9 months of my mail and the postal service offers absolutely no remedy.

The toll this has taken on me has been more emotional, than financial. It has interfered with my work performance, as a registered nurse. I've had to take time off from work a number of times to try to rectify the problem. I'm paying a monthly fee to monitor my credit. I've had to request all creditors send statement and bills electronically to me. I've become depressed to the point I had to seek professional counseling. How can one postcard continuously override an address that has been mine for 16 years? I thank you for any assistance given in rectifying this nightmare.

I sent a package express mail on Friday June 13th for $63.85. The clerk told me it would arrive Saturday. I said they office is not open on Saturday. She said no problem, we will mark it for NO WEEKEND DELIVERY which is printed on my receipt and the tracking information. She said it will deliver Monday. Monday I called the destination to see if it arrived. They said their mail does not run until about 2:30pm. I called back at about 3:00pm. They went to check and no package. I looked up the tracking number and it said delivery attempted Saturday-office closed left notice card to be picked up. I called the business again to tell them they accidently tried a Saturday delivery even though they messed up and left a card to go pick it up. They went back to the box--no card was found.

I then had to call the 800# for the USPS. They gave me the reference number for the business to go pick up the package at the post office and appologized that the USPS does not make 2nd delivery attempts. By this time it was too late for them to be drive to their post office. They went the next day causing a delay in my package reaching the person to get my business ad into a publication thereby causing lost business sales. I called the 800# back and after another 20 minute wait for a live person was told an appology and given a reference number and to go back to the post office I sent it from for a refund. I went to the post office today (June 18th).

The clerk, after about 10 minutes came back and said I get no refund. I argued my point that the USPS caused the problem and I was told to come back here with the original receipt for a refund. He referred me to his Supervisor. She told me that the USPS did their job and that the 800# is not a USPS employee and has no right telling me I could get a refund. I showed her the reference number to the case and she told me she did not have to see that. I told her it did not matter if they were an employee or not--they are representing the USPS. She told me the package was there Monday and the business I sent it to should have picked it up. I told her about the card not being there and by the time we had all the information it was too late. She looked at me and said they were not responsible for a lost card. I began to get heated! I told her that it was the fault of the USPS for trying to deliver on Saturday when I have in writing NO WEEKEND DELIVERY. If it was not for that error of the USPS my package would have been delivered when it was supposed to. She kept referring to the tracking printout that my package was in Texas on Saturday and they did their job.

I told her they did not do their job--because of them not following their directions, my package had to be picked up by my receiver which caused a delay. I asked for proof of the Saturday card notification. She said she could not provide that. I asked for a number to file a complaint--she said call the 800#. I said why--they are not the USPS as you pointed out--if they can't be approved for giving a refund approval how can they listen to my complaint with any authority. She just shrugged her shoulders and said you can talk to the Post Master but he is gone for the day and he will tell you the same thing.

That is when I got enraged. I told her that I would not be here if the USPS had done their job as instructed and my package would have arrived as I had ordered. She just smiled and said "And it did" and walked back to the back.

I am boycotting the illegal monopoly of the USPS. They are a scam business. They are the poorest people service business next fast food restaurants. I am going to remove my mailbox. Any bills can be sent to me via UPS or FedEX or emailed to me. I do not have to use their service--I have that right. I am going to take this further and find a lawyer that can sue the USPS for my lost business. I have written documentation of my order requesting NO WEEKEND Delivery and written documentation of how they made the error in the delivery attempt on Saturday. As well as phone call records I made to the 800# and claim reference number I was given.

This is going to cost them a lot more then $63.85. Sorry public--they will probably have to raise the price of stamps another penny to pay for this claim!

I have a deck with gates at both entrances, her tie out line is at least 15-20 feet from where he enters my property and walks across my grass to the next house.

I was having my decks painted this past Wednesday, June 11 and the tie out was placed in a different spot, and the hardware was off the gates so the gates were held open so it the hinges wouldn't split the wood. I was standing in the door way while she was out, and the mail carrier Rick came to deliver mail, and Lizie saw him and ran out to him and had her front paws up on him like she greets everyone. He started yelling and making threats, and drove immediately to the park office. I called the park office and reported the incident.

He claimed that my dog bit him (never mentioned it to me), and then told the police and animal control officer that was subsequently called. I had left for a meeting with my boss, and was called back by my neighbor to talk with the officers. The police officers said the dog did not bite him, there were a couple scratches on his knee(he was wearing shorts) from her claws that occurred when I pulled her away from him. The police did not make a report, no ticket was issued, the dog was not quarantined because the skin was not broken. They determined the dog was friendly and not vicious, just very friendly and loves attention. I didn't have to sign any report. I have been told that the mail carrier filed a false report, thus I could file a suit.

The mail carrier Rick has repeatedly threatened myself, my dog and two of my neighbors while they were watching her in my absence. In the past he would not deliver my mail for 1-3 days at a time because my dog barks, and he seems to be terrified of all of the dogs in the park(Rochester Estates). I am not the only person who has problems with him, and he has created problems for many dog owners since he started delivering the mail on this route.

His Supervisor, Missy who I have talked to on two occasions has been very kind and has tried to work things out, but her supervisor wouldn't allow Missy's solution to the issue. Missy determined there was no reason for him to be afraid, and my deck and tie out were created to give him 15-20 feet away from the dog. I had moved my mailbox a year and a half ago, so he wouldn't have to come close to the gated enclosed deck or the yard tie out.

He has continued to harass me and now has not delivered my mail since June 12. The real clincher was on the day of the incident(11th) he delivered my mail, but has not delivered it since the 12th. I have contacted the Rochester post office and the supervisor over Missy will not allow my mail to be delivered. I was told to change my address or pick it up. I am a senior citizen and widow with physical issues(handicapped) that make it difficult for me, and on one issue to hand hold a leash thus the reason for a tie out leash, and she(the dog) is my peace of mind and makes me feel safe. I have bills to pay and I need my mail delivered to my home.

The other thing that concerns me in this matter, is that he(mail carrier Rick) has created a bad situation between me and the park. I have been seeking legal counsel on this matter, but am hoping to resolve it myself. Any help would be appreciated. I know there is an issue with this park(Rochester Estates) and the USPS over the delivery of mail. The park has had walking mail carriers for many years, and the USPS wants to have a central mailbox area, so I feel that myself and others in here are being used as pawns to secure what each party wants to accomplish. Thank you for your help and hopefully a quick resolution.

I priority mailed a package to Malaysia with important documents (bank cards and ID's, medications and vitamins) on April 5, 2008 and it has not been received by recipients yet. Their customer service is very rude and is not helpingme. They are not paying me for my damages.

ID cards, bank cards, medications and vitamins are lost. It cost about $200 to replace the vitamins and medications.

On Wednesday,June 11, 2008 I went online and rescheduled a redelivery for two parcels with confirmation number for June 14, 2008 and stayed home and waited all day and no one came. I had called the Knickbocker Post Office and was told that someone will come by 5:30pm and no one showed up.Then I received another slip for another package with a final notice for June 20, 2008.

I then went online again on June 16,2008 to have another redelivery on June 17, 2008 because I will be home then. I filled in all the information but it would'nt take the date that I put in. I wasn't given a confirmation number. Now I won't receive my packages. Is there something that you could do to recify the situation?

I have a walker and can't climb the stairs and the elevator doesn't always work. I may not be able to carry the packages either. I was told to contact Consumer Affairs to handle the matter.

We do not always receive some of our magazine subscriptions in the mail. We will get a few issues and then miss a few or not get any at all for 2-3 months at a time. Sometimes we get them but they have been opened, torn and read already. We NEVER had this problem until moving to Erie, Colorado! Several of our neighbors have the same issues as well and complained and nothing is ever done about it! Now we have moved to Saint Louis and what a surprise, we are STILL NOT receiving our forwarded periodicals from our old Erie address, which we are supposed to have 60 days to receive. I know it's Erie because we are receiving our magazines that already have our new address, just not the ones being forwarded.

And when we call the publishers to let them know we missed issues they always re-send them out or extend our subscription. So I know it's not the publishers fault! So, how does the post office get away with stealing consumer's magazines? And when I called the main USPS customer service line, the USPS employee Mike tells me his system is down. And when I e-mail USPS, their employee Creed responds with can't help due to we only handle the technical issues NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE issues ok, so Creed must have lied since it gave me customer service issues to choose from on their drop-down menu to e-mail them from! So again how does USPS get away with stealing and lying and not giving us customer service!

It's a shame that I may have to cancel ALL my magazine subscriptions due to the post office. Will I start buying them at $5.00 -$7.00 each issue? Probably not! So not only am I losing out on this but the magazine publishers are too!

Bought an item from ebay, have been waiting for 20+ days and the package is not delivered, and the seller claim the package is delivered. So I call my local usps with the tracking number given by seller, and same response, the usps lady told me the package is delivered and anything else will be between the seller and me. So I ask the seller if he has the correct address and he does. First of all, USPS tracking number does not associate with an address, so in fact seller can be lying to me about sending this package. And assuming the buyer is not lying then the usps's tracking system is flawed. from my experience, when the tracking number showed delivered that means it's out of the local office, and not actually delivering the package, if the mail man ran out of the time and decide to go home early.. then the package will be mailed the next day even thou it says delivered. This is bad for the consumer b/c this tracking number gives them the right to point fingers to seller or buyer.

I mailed a package to Quebec, Canada from Cape Canaveral, FL to my fiance on 04/05/08. The cost to mail the package was 89.30$. When the package arrived, my fiance opened it and found some items damaged. She immediately called USPS and told them and they gave her a file #, and told her to take it to the nearest Canada post office to show them the damage. She did that and Canada post told her that they were not responsible for the damage, so they were not going to file a damage report. She called USPS and told them this and the person at USPS told her that USPS would send an enquiry to Canada post.

After 3 weeks I called US post and asked them what was going on and they told me that an enquiry was sent to Canada Post and they were waiting for a reply. I told USPS that my fiance did not get a call/letter as yet. I asked them the process that they would follow if they did not get a reply and the person just said you need to wait and hung up. In the 3rd week of May I called again to say that nothing had happened and no enquiry was till recd. USPS told me that an enquiry was sent and that they were waiting for an answer. Once again I asked the person at USPS the same question ... What if Canada Post does not reply? Once again they hung up on me.

Today I called USPS again and the lady said that they would send an enquiry to the Sender. I told her that I was the sender, so she said We will send an enquiry to the recipient. When I asked to clarify, she hung up. On 3 occasions I have tried to go on the USPS website to complain and after I type my whole issue the message does not get sent. The damged articles are worth more than 600$. The postage I paid covers only damage only up to 219.22$. That is all I want. The damaged articles are still in Canada and my fiance has since returned to the US. Pls. help!

We have been given the run around by some very inconsiderate USPS employees. Their English is so poor as well. I could barely understand the English of the people that i spoke to. The damge totals more that 600$.

I have been using the Sedona post office for several years. I am well liked by two of the postal clerks there, Veronica and Trinidad. Repeatedly over the past year I have been treated in a rude and unfriendly way by a postal clerk by the name of Sharon S. She will not smile at me or act pleasant in any way. When I have tried to introduce myself she has been consistently rude. When I say good morning she does not respond with anything other than a sort of grunt.

A few months ago I sought to make a complaint at the post office and spoke to a woman who did nothing at all regarding the matter. I want this matter brought to the attention of someone who will do something about it. Numerous other people I know who use the same post office complain of similar treatment from Sharon Smith. It seems wrong to me that I am required to pay taxes, some of which go to the Postal Service, but I am still treated in a rude way by someone working for the Postal Service. I hope that someone will respond to me about this matter.

We have 2 dogs and have since we lived here. They bark at the mail lady everyday on a regular basis. This past week she decided she would no longer deliver our mail. She said the dog came through a window. lol There is no way the dog went through the window. Maybe she put her nose through a little hole in the screen but that was it. She has petted both these dogs before and no problems. Not sure why she just doesn't want to deliver now. I think the USPS should pay me if I have to go get my own mail or maybe we could fire that one and get a new carrier.

Very poor delivery of mail in our apartment building. Primarily putting mail in the incorrect mail box. I received a Discover credit card bill for April in May with a USPS sticker for unable to forward. There was no forwarding address I have lived here for 2.5 years. Because of that Discover has bumped my percentage cost to 19.99 percent through NO fault of my own. I am writing to them, my congressman, the USPS and my lawyer.

Our mail carrier only comes to deliver when he feels like it, which is only 3 or 4 times a week. I have complained to his supervisor both on the phone and in person. I have heard every excuse such as when he calls in sick, there is no one else to do his route. Well this guy must have some serious health issues because he misses deliveries and pickups to my address at least twice a week.

I work from home and have to send and/or receive correspondence in order to keep my work flow going. I am a private investigator and if I do not get and/or receive my mail, it slows down my business and ability to produce work.

Our carrier has not been delivering our mail. We have not received many of my bills. Before changing addresses we got many pieces of mail daily. Now we go weeks without getting anything, then when we do it has the new address with a note inside stating it was returned. There are many cataolgs and magazines that we have ordered and paid for that have not been delievered.

The supervisors in Wasilla are still no help. All they do is sweep it under the carpet. We're tired of having our mail returned to sender. I believe the carrier is doing this on purpose and our mail service will continue to suffer. Anyway you can help would be great.

By having our mail returned many bills are being paid late.
